In a troubling exclusive that mainstream media continues to avoid, Breitbart reports about the crisis at the Southern border.

The role of government is to improve the lives of its citizens and prioritize national security, but that’s not Joe Biden’s concern.

In a relatively short space of time, Biden’s leadership has been catastrophic for America. His mishandling of Afghanistan, his reckless open-door immigration policy, his disastrous pursuit of a new Iran nuclear deal, his incompetence in dealing with Russia, and more — there is just no end in sight to the damage that Biden continues to do to American interests.

Few among media have adequately covered the crime and national security risks posed by the wide-open Southern border. On top of everything else, there is a jihad threat. In 2019, the Mexico “terror path” was proven, as jihadis infiltrated the refugee stream and entered the U.S. Judicial Watch stated:

More evidence has emerged that Middle East jihadists are entering the United States through the Mexican border. The organization long has presented evidence that terrorists have entered through Texas and reports of ISIS training camps not far from the U.S. border.

“EXCLUSIVE VIDEO: Border Crisis Disrupts Texas Ranchers’ Lives ‘Worse than Ever,’ Says Governor,” by Bob Price, Breitbart, March 14, 2022:

EAGLE PASS, Texas — Thousands of migrants marching through Texas ranches as far as 80 miles from the U.S. border continues to disrupt the lives of those who live and work in these regions. Governor Greg Abbott told Breitbart Texas the chaos and crime in these areas are “worse than it has ever been.”

“Their lives have been disrupted like never before,” Governor Abbott said in an exclusive interview late last week. “There are people coming in across the border and going onto the land, cutting fences that hold in cattle, sometimes cattle are lost as a result of it.”

He said these trespassers are “breaking into homes, destroying property, sometimes, pointing a gun at people’s heads. It is worse than it’s ever been.”

The governor said the volume of migrant crossings adds to the created chaos on ranches in south Texas. He added that this is not simply unaccompanied minors or family units that are making the trek through the ranches.

“These are people who are trying to not get caught,” Abbott explained. “People who are coming here, some of whom have criminal records. We know that because of some of the people we have arrested.”

Breitbart Texas spoke with officials with the Texas Military Department about the arrests taking place by brush team soldiers on ranches.

“Over the past 90 days, the brush team has supported more than 1,000 apprehensions along the Texas-Mexico border,” TMD Director of Communications Rita Holton told Breitbart. “Approximately 30 percent of these individuals apprehended had a prior criminal record for activities such as sexual assault, drug smuggling, and human smuggling.”

A TMD military officer who commands the brush team operations told Breitbart they are the “last line defense” against the migrants who intend to get into the U.S. interior without being screened or apprehended.

“We use a variety of sensors and techniques to identify where these folks are coming from and where they are going,” the officer stated. “We are on our feet eight to 15 miles per night using ‘old school tracking’ and the technology available for our mission.”

He explained groups range in size from five migrants to more than 50 at a time. “Some of these have criminal histories that include narcotics smuggling or sexual assault.”…

“No one person should have unilateral authority to make decisions for millions of Americans,” says Paul.

QUICK FACTS:
  • Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) on Monday introduced an amendment to remove Dr. Anthony Fauci as director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), two years after the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, Breitbart News reports.
  • Paul’s amendment would restructure the position and eliminate Fauci altogether.
  • The amendment would also replace Fauci’s current post with three other positions that will lead to three new institutes: the National Institute of Allergic Disease, the National Institute of Infectious Diseases, and the National Institute of Immunologic Diseases.
  • “No one person should have unilateral authority to make decisions for millions of Americans,” Sen. Paul stated.
  • “To ensure that ineffective, unscientific lockdowns and mandates are never foisted on the American people ever again, I’ve introduced this amendment to eliminate Dr. Anthony Fauci’s position as Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, and divide his power into three separate new institutes,” he added.
  • “This will create accountability and oversight into a taxpayer-funded position that has largely abused its power, and has been responsible for many failures and misinformation during the COVID-19 pandemic.”
WHAT ELSE SEN. PAUL SAID:
  • “Each of these three institutes will be led by a director who is appointed by the president and confirmed by the Senate for a 5-year term,” Paul’s press release reads.
  • Paul contends such a move would be consistent with NIAID’s mission statement which asserts that the organization “conducts and supports basic and applied research to better understand, treat, and ultimately prevent infectious, immunologic, and allergic diseases.”
  • “We’ve learned a lot over the past two years, but one lesson, in particular, is that no one person should be deemed ‘dictator-in-chief,’” Paul said in a statement.
BACKGROUND:
  • “I’ve been a physician for over 33 years,” Paul wrote in a piece Monday for Fox News Digital.
  • “In all my years studying and practicing medicine, I had never encountered someone with the gall to proclaim himself ‘the science’ and portray anyone opposing him as ‘attacking science.’ That is, until Dr. Fauci became the COVID dictator-in-chief.”

Ammon Bundy Fights Medical Tyranny in Idaho~Nursing mother of baby arrested at hospital; BABY taken away to unknown place

BABY "MEDICALLY" KIDNAPPED BY CPS

Idaho CPS took Baby Cyrus

If they can take Cyrus from his loving parents then they can take any child from any parents for any reason. Cyrus is loved by his family more than any family I have witnessed.

Idaho gubernatorial candidate Ammon Bundy arrested at St. Luke's Meridian

Ammon Bundy, independent candidate for Idaho governor and a leader of the “People’s Rights” movement, faces a misdemeanor trespassing charge in Meridian. Ada County Jail records show Bundy, 46, was booked into jail at 1:15 a.m. Saturday, then released. Meridian Police had arrested him on suspicion of “first offense trespass – failure to depart.” A statement from Bundy's campaign, posted on Twitter, says he was arrested in front of St. Luke’s Meridian Medical Center “for the crime of disagreeing with the hospital and CPS.” According to the statement, Bundy had arrived at the hospital in support of a family whose baby had been “medically kidnapped” due to a missed non-emergency doctor’s appointment. The Meridian Police Dept. said in a news release issued later Saturday morning that police on Friday received an Idaho Health and Welfare referral about a ten-month-old child who had been admitted to the hospital on March 1 "after medical personnel determined the child was suffering from severe malnourishment." The child was discharged into the care of its parents on March 4, after the child was able to gain enough weight. However, during a follow-up appointment, Meridian Police said, it was determined that the child had again lost a significant amount of weight, but the parents canceled the next follow-up appointment and could not be located. Meridian Police had been advised that the child's condition could lead to severe injury or even death if left untreated. Meridian Police said Health and Welfare was able to contact the child’s father, who agreed to bring the child in for an examination, but then failed to show up. When officers attempted to contact the parents and check on the child at a home in Meridian, the people inside refused to let officers check on the child's welfare. Meridian Police received a warrant to enter the home but discovered the parents and the child had left before officers could check on the child. Garden City Police located a vehicle driven by the father of the child and conducted a traffic stop on Chinden Boulevard. That's when Meridian Police took the child into custody, then took the child to St. Luke's Meridian. According to Meridian Police, Bundy "and several of his followers" showed up to St. Luke’s Meridian and refused to leave the property when asked to do so. In addition to Bundy, officers also arrested Wendy Kay Whitaker, 69, Miranda Chavoya, 23, and Marissa Anderson, 21. Police accuse Whitaker of attempting to interfere in Bundy's arrest and also refusing to leave St. Luke's property. Chavoya and Anderson were arrested on suspicion of resisting or obstructing at the scene of the traffic stop in Garden City. All of those arrested are out of jail at this time. Saturday’s arrest may have been the first time Bundy was accused of trespassing at St. Luke’s, but it was not the first time Bundy has been arrested for trespassing. Court records show a jury trial is set to begin Monday, March 14, for a case in which Bundy is charged with two counts of trespassing -- second offense -- following an arrest on April 8, 2021, at the Idaho State Capitol. He was found guilty of a first misdemeanor trespassing offense and sentenced to 40 hours of community service for refusing to leave an auditorium at the capitol during the August 2020 special session. In July 2021, Bundy kicked off a campaign for governor of Idaho. At the time, he was pursuing the Republican nomination. However, he announced in February that he would instead run as an independent. As an independent, Bundy will not be subject to the upcoming May primary election. He is on the Idaho Secretary of State's unofficial list of candidates who have filed to run for office this year.

Gubernatorial candidate for Idaho Ammon Bundy is no stranger to a good fight. He now finds himself in the middle of yet another, this time concerning parental rights and medical tyranny. One America's Dana Cohen caught up with Bundy for more details.

Now You’re Talking: Trump Offers a Proposal to Destroy the Deep State

Virtually all Americans believed, until the inauguration of Donald Trump as president on January 20, 2017, that when someone became president, he could begin to implement his agenda. Certainly, Old Joe Biden’s handlers have done so with a vengeance since they took over; but when Trump became president, he immediately began to encounter resistance from entrenched members of the government bureaucracy who refused to do as he ordered. Some worked actively against Trump, while the establishment media assured us that these self-appointed “deep state” saboteurs were the courageous guardians of “our democracy.” At his South Carolina rally Saturday night, Trump continued to tease a 2024 run and made a new promise about how he would break the power of the unelected “deep state.”

“We will pass critical reforms,” Trump said, “making every executive branch employee fireable by the president of the United States. The deep state must and will be brought to heel.”

It’s a commonsensical solution, as Ohio Senate candidate J.D. Vance pointed out. “Everyone is losing their mind about this, but I’ve been calling for it at every town hall I do. Either the president controls the executive branch or he doesn’t. If he doesn’t, we don’t live in a Republic, we live in a civil service-driven oligarchy.”

Quite so. And although the “deep state” only came to the attention of most Americans over the last few years, the controversy over the hiring and firing of civil service employees is one of the oldest controversies of the republic. As Rating America’s Presidents explains, Andrew Jackson was elected president in 1828 on promises to end the hegemony of a privileged aristocracy, and, to drain that swamp, he would need his own men in key positions. He removed a large number of civil service employees and replaced them with men of his own faction, which came to be known as the Democracy, or Democratic Party. This came to be known as the spoils system after the old adage “To the victor belong the spoils.”

The term “spoils system” is today practically synonymous with government corruption, but Jackson began it as a blow against corruption, preventing the establishment of an entrenched bureaucracy that would oppose the president. The Trump administration made it clear that such a bureaucracy, determined to thwart the president at every turn, is a genuine concern; it is time for a reconsideration of the spoils system.

The spoils system essentially died with the assassination of President James A. Garfield in 1881. Garfield believed that the spoils system was an unending source of government corruption and pushed for measures that would end it, only to be shot by a man who publicly proclaimed that he was doing so because he belonged to the faction of the Republican party, the Stalwarts, that supported the spoils system. Garfield’s successor, Chester Arthur, was a Stalwart, but he demonstrated immense personal courage and honor in choosing to carry out the wishes of his slain predecessor rather than implement his own contrary agenda. His decision to do this effectively ended his political career, as he almost certainly knew it would, and yet he stood firm.

Related: Deep State Alert: Disgraced FBI Bigwig McCabe Wins Full Pension

Whether his stance was entirely wise in the long run, however, is a separate question. Historians take for granted that civil service reform was good for the country, and there has been no significant indication that it wasn’t until quite recently when a president was thwarted in numerous endeavors by an army of unelected bureaucrats within the various departments and agencies of the government, who were determined to impede his agenda in every way possible.

The proponents of civil service reform never envisioned a situation in which unelected and unaccountable opponents of a sitting president in the FBI, the Justice Department, and elsewhere would be determined to destroy the president — or at the very least make it impossible for him to carry out his policies — and could not be removed from their jobs because of civil service regulations.

Wouldn’t government work more smoothly, and the executive branch be able to operate more effectively in the way the Founding Fathers envisioned it would if the president were able to clear out the employees of these agencies who opposed him and replace them with people more in line with his vision?

The spoils system has no defenders today and has had none for over a century. It should have more. Trump is on the right track.

Under Cover of Darkness U.S. Senate Passes New Gun Control Laws

WASHINGTON, D.C. -(Ammoland.com)- Gun Control has been signed into law by President Biden with the support of turncoat Republicans.

In the middle of the night, the U.S. Senate passed the Violence Against Women Act Reauthorization Act of 2022 (VAWA). Some gun rights groups raised alarm bells when this act passed the U.S. House of Representatives last year with Republican support. At the time, Republicans like Dan Crenshaw said that the anti-gun provisions of the bill would be removed and accused Gun Owners of America (GOA) of fearmongering to fundraise.

Democrats and Republicans led by Senator Jodi Ernst negotiated the bill’s anti-gun provisions.

Republican politicians, who previously vowed never to vote for the bill unless the anti-gun provisions were removed, voted yes with those anti-gun provisions fully intact. Prominently among those Republicans to betray the Second Amendment was Senator Cindy Hyde-Smith. Senator Hyde-Smith had previously released a statement to AmmoLand News that she would never vote for the bill in its anti-gun version.

An updated statement was given to AmmoLand News after receiving a tip that Senator Hyde-Smith was open to the bill with the anti-gun provisions intact.

The bill includes the NICS Denial Notification Act. This provision will require the criminal investigation of all National Instant Criminal Background Check System denials. The vast majority of NICS denials are false.

The bill’s passage means that thousands of law-abiding Americans will be subject to criminal investigation due to a mistake in a flawed government database. Guilty until proven innocent.

Empowering ATF

Another provision in the bill will allow the deputization of local law enforcement by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF). This provision is a direct attack against states with Second Amendment Protection Acts (SAPA). Those bills prevent state and local law enforcement from enforcing federal gun control, but since VAWA allows for the deputization of local law enforcement, that means the federal government can restore the power of local police to enforce federal gun laws by making them agents of ATF.

The bill also includes funds for “gun violence” research. Federal research into gun violence has always been flawed in the past. Instead of using evidence-based science to come to a conclusion, the government has been caught using a predetermined result. The federal agency would decide on a conclusion they wanted first and work backward by using evidence to back up their opinion while ignoring evidence contradicting their stance. The practice was highlighted by whistleblower Dr. Miguel Faria whose testimony in front of Congress ended funding for gun violence research by the Center for Disease Control (CDC).

While most gun rights groups have been fighting against the VAWA’s gun-control provisions, there have been rumblings that the NRA lobbyists told Senators that the powerful gun group was neutral on the bill giving those Senators the green light to vote for VAWA. This information was given to AmmoLand News by multiple Congressional staffers on the hill. AmmoLand News has been working to confirm or dispel the rumor with NRA-ILA but so far the NRA has yet to provide a clear statement.

AmmoLand News has reached out to the offices of the Republican Senators that voted for the bill for comment, but none of those Senators have responded to our request.

A Bill Banning FACEBOOK’S ‘Zuckbucks’ Foundation Funding in Virginia Elections Is Headed to Gov. Glenn Youngkin’s Desk

The Era of ‘Zuckbucks’ in Florida Election Administration Ends - The Thinking Conservative

BY THE FEDERALIST

Virginia’s assembly passed legislation to prohibit state and local election officials from accepting certain funding from private groups.

The General Assembly of Virginia successfully passed a series of bills this week that would prohibit state and local election officials from accepting certain gifts and funding from private individuals or non-governmental entities that would impact how elections are conducted within the Commonwealth.

Passed by both the state’s House of Delegates and Senate, HB 205 (and its companion SB 80) would mandate that “The State Board, the Department, each local electoral board, and all offices of the general registrar shall not solicit, accept, use, or dispose of any money, grants, property, or services given by a private individual or nongovernmental entity for the purpose of funding voter education and outreach programs, voter registration programs, or any other expense incurred in the conduct of elections.”

The operation of polling places and voter satellite offices in facilities supplied by private individuals or non-governmental entities are exempt under the law, however.

Del. Otto Wachsmann Jr., who introduced the measure in the House, told The Federalist he was “pleased” the legislation has successfully passed both chambers of the General Assembly while emphasizing how “outside entities” will no longer be able “to influence how elections are run by the state.”

“While nongovernmental groups are allowed to conduct events like voter registration drives outside of our governmental agencies, this bill clarifies that they have no business directly influencing the way that our registrars and electoral boards conduct their business,” Wachsmann said. “That is the sole role of our governmental agencies. I am pleased that the General Assembly has agreed with this concept.”

In explaining the need for the legislation, Wachsmann cited a press release from U.S. Rep. Claudia Tenney, R-N.Y., which details how Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg gave $350 million to the Center for Tech and Civic Life (CTCL), a left-wing advocacy group. CTCL spent millions on “financing the infiltration of election offices at the city and county level by left-wing activists and using those offices as a platform to implement preferred administrative practices, voting methods, and data-sharing agreements, as well as to launch intensive outreach campaigns in areas heavy with Democratic voters” leading up to the 2020 election.

Wachsmann also noted figures from the Capital Research Center, which show CTCL spending nearly $4 million “Zuckbucks” in Virginia during the 2020 election cycle. While the report notes that CTCL distributed funds to more counties won by Trump (22 of 87) than Biden (14 of 46), over 90 percent ($3.4 million) of the organization’s funding was given to the 14 Biden-won counties, with less than 10 percent ($358,910) going towards the 22 Trump-won counties.

“This is the second-most lopsided bias in favor of Democratic-leaning counties we’ve identified (after Texas),” the report concludes.

Having officially cleared the General Assembly, the bills now head to the desk of Gov. Glenn Youngkin, who previously said during Virginia’s Republican gubernatorial primary last year that he would make election integrity a “top priority.” According to Youngkin press secretary Macaulay Porter, the governor “will review the legislation when it comes to his desk.”

In addition to Virginia, numerous battleground states across the country saw Zuckbucks infiltrate their election systems during the 2020 election cycle. As detailed by Federalist Editor in Chief Mollie Hemingway in her New York Times bestselling book, “Rigged: How the Media, Big Tech, and the Democrats Seized Our Elections,” Zuckerberg “didn’t just help Democrats by censoring their political opponents,” his financing of “liberal groups running partisan get-out-the-vote operations” was ultimately “the means by which [Democrat] activists achieved their ‘revolution’ and changed the course of the 2020 election.”

“It was a genius plan,” writes Hemingway. “And because no one ever imagined that a coordinated operation could pull off the privatization of the election system, laws were not built to combat it.”

As of March 2022, 16 states have either banned or severely restricted the use and acceptance of private funds for state and local elections.

UN Warns Individualistic Conservatives Threaten the Planet

"Save the world from free speech. Before it’s too late"

BY DANIEL GREENFIELD

republished below in full unedited for informational, educational & research purposes:

Daniel Greenfield, a Shillman Journalism Fellow at the Freedom Center, is an investigative journalist and writer focusing on the radical Left and Islamic terrorism.

If you blinked you might have missed the momentous occasion of the release of the second part of the UN IPCC’s sixth assessment report of how we're all going to die unless we all board jets and attend global warming conferences. Or give lots of money to those officials who do it for us.

Since no one reads these things anyway, by the time the fourteenth chapter of the second part of the sixth assessment rolled around, everyone was drunk and decided to take shots at conservatives.

Chapter 14 was on North America and warned of the threat posed by "individualistic" conservatives who refuse to accept "collective responsibility" for driving pickup trucks.

Once upon a time, we agreed to disagree about things. Those were the good days.

The liberalism of, "I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it", has long since been replaced by, "You're spreading misinformation and I'm going to tell on you to Mark Zuckerberg."

The IPCC, or Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, which changes its predictions of the incoming apocalypse more often than a phone psychic, is very upset about misinformation.

Misinformation contradicts the science and under the IPCC’s current chair, Hoesung Lee, who has a Ph.D. in Economics from Rutgers, and was, according to the IPCC, named one of TIME’s 100 Most Influential People in the World, the UN body is all about the science.

Even though economics is as much of a science as the chicken entrails of global warming.

But say what you will about Lee, who used to work for ExxonMobil, he still has better credentials than the former chair, railroad engineer, and sexual harasser Rajendra Pachauri. As a Nature obituary put it, Pachauri, who shared a Nobel Peace Prize and sexual misconduct allegations with Al Gore, died "following a prolonged battle with multiple heart ailments and charges of sexual harassment."

Forget climate change, it’s the sexual harassment allegations that will really kill you.

“If there's no action before 2012, that's too late,” Rajendra Pachauri said in 2007. In 2009, he claimed, “we have just about 6 years left in which we will have to bring about the peaking of emission.” It’s 2022, Pachauri is dead, and the planet is very much alive. Sadly, so is the IPCC.

With a past history like this, you can understand why the IPCC is sensitive about misinformation.

If there were a Nobel prize for misinformation, the IPCC would win it hands down. And that’s the only Nobel prize that it deserves. Unless there were another Nobel for blowing the most hot air.

A year after Pachauri was ousted over his personal contribution to global warming, Hoesung Lee took over and began warning that it's not too late to save the planet from cheap energy and a decent standard of living.

Six years later he's still at it.

IPCC WGII 6, the latest alphabet soup report that no one read, directs the blame for the imminent destruction of the planet at “resistance from individuals with conservative political ideologies” and “individualistic worldviews” who oppose “regulation”.

Save the world from free speech. Before it’s too late.

The IPCC’s preferred solution to the conservative problem (at least the one that it’s willing to put in print) is more media censorship. The report complains about the "journalistic norm of balance” that give "equal weight to climate scientists and contrarians" and are "unevenly amplifying certain messages that are not supported by science".

I don’t know which planet the IPCC is reporting from, where the media provides equal weight to both the establishment and its critics, but it isn’t this one. But the one thing we know about the IPCC from all its reports on the state of the planet is that it doesn’t know much about Earth.

The media is already saturated with the IPCC’s chicken little propaganda. Big Tech companies actively censor those who dissent from the notion that only high taxes can change the weather. To say nothing of the even more outrageous suppression of any other point of view within the scientific community and Corporate America than the one making Big Green investors very rich.

Nevertheless, the IPCC report complains that “much online social media discussion of climate change takes place in ‘echo chambers’”. These echo chambers, unlike the ones operated by the IPCC and the establishment, are obviously a threat to all intelligent life on earth.

A category that no one involved in the IPCC and the media qualifies for anyway.

The censorship will continue until everyone comes to believe that the world is ending as many years from now as it takes to create a sense of crisis while still making it possible to cash in.

The UN solution to all of those “individualistic” and “conservative” Americans is for “the rest of the human collective” to adopt “collective conduct” from “indigenous” people. Unfortunately, the United States has no indigenous people, only immigrants from various eras, tribes traveling across a land bridge from Siberia, paddling canoes, and then Columbus and his three ships.

But the UN might want to check in on Africa and see how the “indigenous” people of that continent exercise their “sense of duty or responsibility toward human and other-than-human relations” by wiping out endangered species and killing entire tribes with equal gusto.

Or Hoesung Lee might want to look toward Manchuria where his distant ancestors came from and examine just how that region shows us that we can “(re)learn from Indigenous cultures to (re)consider our responsibility/ies to the land”.

The idea that a native population is less likely to pollute the earth and water, hunt animals to extinction, and treat their territory like a trash heap is more white nonsense, as Lee knows.

The noble savage is the romanticized invention of European fourth-generation colonists who condescendingly presume that their neighbor is less likely to want an SUV or a weekend at the shore because his ancestors had a lower technological level and less civilizational scope.

The native population consists of stone, iron, and bronze age colonists who wiped out whatever indigenous peoples there were and then got down to the business of killing each other until the Europeans showed up. Your average American and Canadian tree hugger has as much of a mystical relationship with the great outdoors as a California casino owner or the Hawaiian businessman whose many times great-grandfather killed and enslaved the natives he found living there after he finished making the long imperialist canoe journey to colonize the islands.

The lead authors of the North American chapter who urge us to learn magical indigenous skills of collectivism are largely the descendants of European immigrants. And they know a whole lot more about collectivism than North American Indians who were a good deal more independent, conservative, and individualistic than the hive mind of two dozen authors behind a UN report.

But if the UN really wants to model respect for the land, it should lead the way by demolishing its Manhattan headquarters and returning Turtle Bay back to the turtles.

The one mystical quality that the IPCC does have is magical thinking.

After failing to convince Americans that the planet will burn unless everyone gives environmental consultants more money to change the weather, the IPCC is convinced that suppressing political dissent will surely convince those individualistic conservatives.

As everyone knows, using your power to silence people wins the argument every time.

It’s not American individualism that threatens the planet. The environmental movement not only stole trillions and spent it on trips and worthless windmills and solar panels, it brought the planet closer to war by making the world dependent on Middle Eastern and Russian fuel. After generations of wars that could have been avoided with cheap nuclear energy and domestic drilling, there is yet another war that is being fought over energy resources in Ukraine.

Conservative individualism doesn’t threaten the planet, environmental collectivism does.

Biden’s ‘science advisor’ trashes Christians, dismisses individual rights, says government can force vaccine

Francis Collins and Russell Moore: Evil Revealed In Leaked Audio

America’s future as a free society is in serious peril because there are so many authoritarians in positions of power and influence who have contempt for the American people and their values.

“LEAKED: Audio Shows Former NIH Director Trashing Christians at Event Hosted by Christianity Today,” RedState, March 8, 2022:

Dr. Francis Collins, former NIH Director and current “science advisor” to Joe Biden, has long proclaimed himself and Dr. Anthony Fauci as “not political figures.” But newly leaked audio, obtained by The Daily Wire’s Meg Basham, tells a far different story.

The audio was taken on October 26th, 2021 at an event hosted by Christianity Today in conjunction with the Institute of Politics (a leftwing organization founded by David Axelrod). Russell Moore, a favorite among socially left-leaning “evangelicals” like David French and Beth Moore, conducted the interview portion that included Collins.

What followed was the mocking of Christians, the dismissal of individual rights, and false assertions about the legalities involved with vaccine mandates. But rest assured, none of this was political per Collins’ self-description.

“The US government does have the authority to mandate vaccinations if there is an outbreak that is threatening people, because it’s not just about you, it’s about the people you’re going to infect,” Collins claimed, even though science journals were already reporting by that point that vaccinated people were just as likely to spread the then-dominant Delta variant as those who were unvaccinated.

Collins went on to ask rhetorically, “Do [mandates] convince people who otherwise wouldn’t get them?” He answered himself, “Oh yeah, especially if it means losing your job.”

Perhaps Collins should opine less on legal issues because that turned out to be objectively false. As most are aware, the Supreme Court ended up striking down the Biden administration’s federal vaccine mandate. Collins tried to cite Jacobson vs. Massachusetts, a 1905 case that involved state-level mandates, in the interview, again showing his lack of knowledge of the topic. The lack of empathy shown to those losing their jobs over a mandate that was scientifically pointless (everyone spreads COVID) is also striking.

Later, Collins would go on to outright mock Christians who value personal freedom from the government.

Collins said evangelicals, in particular, over-emphasize notions of personal liberty when it comes to mandates, saying they have so “wrapped themselves in the flag and wrapped themselves in this concept of personal freedom, that public health just grates on them.”

“[Evangelicals] have forgotten many times that freedom is not just about rights,” Collins contended. He then employed a mocking caricature of a Southern accent, asking the students, “How many times have you heard, ‘Muh freedom means I got rights’? Well, okay, you also have that other R-word: responsibilities. That’s what freedom is supposed to incorporate.”

I’m not sure what planet this man lives on, but freedom is actually about rights. There can be no freedom without rights, and anything that violates those rights is logically not freedom. The nod to “responsibilities” is a weak, commonly used excuse by government apparatchiks to force their agenda on others. Even tackling Collins’ claim on the merits, what responsibility to others does someone have to get vaccinated if the vaccine does not stop the spread of COVID?…

Arguably the most politically pointed portion of Collins’ remarks came when Moore asked him about the political opinions of his fellow Christians. Collins answered by referencing an Atlantic article by anti-Trump pundit Peter Wehner, another member of his and Moore’s book club, that argued evangelicals have “embraced the worst aspects of our culture and our politics” and that “churches [have] become repositories not of grace but of grievances, places where tribal identities are reinforced, where fears are nurtured, and where aggression and nastiness are sacralized.”

Robert Spencer vs. Joseph Puder: How Much Should We Get Involved in Ukraine?

Editors' note: Below is an exchange between Frontpage contributors Robert Spencer and Joseph Puder on Russia's invasion of Ukraine -- and what America and the West must do about it. We hope our readers will find this dialogue/debate between two of Frontpage's finest to be thought-provoking and enlightening.

Joseph Puder: The West Has Not Learned The Lessons of World War II.
We need a Churchill in the White House, not a feeble Chamberlain.

The scenes of the Russian invasion into Ukraine are reminiscent of 81 years ago when Nazi Germany invaded the Soviet Union in what was called “Operation Barbarossa.” Nazi troops stormed the Ukraine fields with thousands of tanks and Stuka dive bombers. Behind them was Hitler’s Einsatzgruppen, SS murderers set out to murder every Jew in the territories of Ukraine that the Nazi army occupied.

Vladimir Putin, Russia’s President, has copied the same tactics. Claiming his armies were merely on military maneuvers and that he had no intention of invading Ukraine, on February 24, 2022, he ordered his armies with thousands of soldiers, tanks, and jets to invade Ukraine. In 1939, Adolf Hitler, who had committed Germany not to attack the Soviet Union under the Treaty of Non-Aggression known as the Ribbentrop-Molotov agreement, broke the treaty and invaded the Soviet Union with massive force. And, like the murderous Nazi Einsatzgruppen, Putin sent a similar group of Chechen murderers to assassinate Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky, and members of his government.

Hitler, in the summer of 1941, already had Europe almost entirely under his brutal boot, but his “lebensraum” or living space concept, which he specified in his book, “Mein Kampf,” and speeches, required him, in his mind to remove the Slavic and other so-called non-Aryan peoples in Eastern Europe from their land and populate them with German people. So naturally, Hitler was not going to stop anywhere ‘while the going was good.’

Let us be clear, Putin is not Hitler, he is not the sadist and antisemitic murderer that Hitler was. Nevertheless, he too has a dream of restoring to Russia the title of the super-power that the Soviet Union became after World War II. He is a Russian nationalist whose formative years in the Soviet Union were spent absorbing Soviet propaganda and subsequently becoming a KGB officer. It made him a staunch believer in Russian power. His father fought with the Red Army in WWII, and his native Leningrad suffered enormously during World War II. He also learned from the example that Hitler had provided, that when your potential enemies are weak, it is time to strike.

Hitler had British Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain to deal with. An appeaser who desperately wanted to avoid war at all costs, and indeed, the costs were much higher for Britain and the world for not recognizing that evil can only be stopped by force and not by appeasement. Had the allies stopped Hitler early on in 1936 when he occupied the Rhineland, World War II would never have occurred. Even in 1938, before Hitler annexed by force the Czechoslovakian territory of the Sudetenland under the 1938 Munich Agreement, in which Chamberlain sold out the Czechs, and got in return World War II. Had the western powers used the military option, the German military High Command (the Wehrmacht) would have removed Hitler from power, as was revealed in later years.

Putin, like Hitler, views US President Joe Biden as weak and feeble, just as Hitler saw Chamberlain. A person who refuses to use the military option with the radical regime of the Ayatollahs in the Islamic Republic of Iran, and would certainly not dare to challenge Russia’s military might. Putin figures that Biden and the Western leaders would scream ‘bloody murder,’ but won’t challenge him militarily, not even using a ‘no-fly zone’ over the Ukrainian civilian population, for fear of entanglement with Russia. Putin doesn’t want a nuclear war any more than Biden, Johnson, or Macron. He knows, however, that he is dealing with Chamberlains, not with Churchills.

It is apparent to Putin that President Biden and the other major western leaders fear him enough not to challenge his actions other than with words and economic sanctions that hitherto have had little impact on Putin and his regime. He took Crimea in March 2014 from Ukraine, and the Obama administration’s reaction was so anemic that it only encouraged him to go further and initiate the separatist violent rebellion against the Ukrainian government in the Donbas region of southeastern Ukraine (Donetsk and Luhansk Oblasts of Ukraine), less than a month later. As the case of the US imposed sanctions on Iran has proven, sanctions cannot alter the behavior of a radical authoritarian regime, and only the unpleasant choice of a credible threat of Military action will make Russia or Iran change its course.

There was a time when the US did just that, using the military option. President John F. Kennedy did it during the 1962 Cuban missile crisis; he took military action after diplomacy failed. True, the Soviet missiles in Cuba posed an existential threat to the US… And yet, President Lyndon Johnson did it in the Middle East, when the Soviet Union threatened to send its troops to aid Syria against Israel during the Six-Day War of June 1967.

Uri Bar-Noi, in a report for the Wilson Center dealing with the Soviet Union and the Six-Day War, had written his article based on revelations from the Polish government archives, “The Soviet Union military took practical steps to assist Syria in stopping the advance of Israeli troops into Syrian territory toward the end of the war. These steps included a naval landing, airborne reinforcement, and air support for ground operations. Military operations were, however, eventually aborted for fear of American retaliation.” President Johnson responded by putting American forces on standby, ready to respond to the Soviet’s moves.

In today’s climate of near pacifism in the US and the western world, there are no Churchills to be found. There is however one inspiring Churchill-like person and that is the leader of Ukraine – President Volodymyr Zelensky. He alone has stood up to the bullying of Vladimir Putin with the determination of David facing Goliath, and that in spite of the odds facing him. He inspired his people and the world by taking on a nuclear superpower with its enormous military machine and an abundance of natural resources, particularly oil and gas. He alone put into deeds what it means to fight for freedom and human dignity.

While Biden and others filled the airwaves with platitudes, they fear facing the Russian bear. Fortunately for Winston Churchill, he was able to, after Pearl Harbor (December 7, 1941) enjoy the benefits of the “Arsenal of Democracy,” Zelensky and Ukraine remain alone in fighting an unrestrained aggressor. Sadly, never has America needed a Churchill more in the White House than now. Instead, we have a feeble Chamberlain.

Robert Spencer Responds: What Are the Real Lessons of World War II?
It’s true: we need a Churchill, but we don’t need a world war.
It’s interesting that Joseph Puder begins his article calling for the U.S. to stand up much more firmly to Putin than it is doing now by likening the Russian army’s actions in Ukraine to the German army’s invasion of the Soviet Union in 1941. Puder doesn’t mention the fact that many Ukrainians fought tenaciously on the side of the Nazis in that conflict; nor does he mention that fighting in Ukraine now against the Russians is the Azov Battalion, a gang of actual neo-Nazis, not the kind the establishment media sees whenever a guy goes out wearing a MAGA hat. Nor are they some outliers: in 2014, then-Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko called them “our best warriors.”

This is not to say that Russia’s invasion is justified, or that Americans should not support Ukraine’s resistance; it’s only meant to illustrate that sometimes matters are much more complicated than meets the eye, and the Russia-Ukraine conflict is a quintessential example of that.

Puder is correct that Neville Chamberlain “desperately wanted to avoid war at all costs,” and appeasement failed before World War II and will fail to stop Putin. He is also correct that Putin, like everyone else on the face of the earth, sees Old Joe Biden as “weak and feeble, just as Hitler saw Chamberlain.” According to Puder, Putin “figures that Biden and the Western leaders would scream ‘bloody murder,’ but won’t challenge him militarily, not even using a ‘no-fly zone’ over the Ukrainian civilian population, for fear of entanglement with Russia.” He sees Putin’s statement that this would be considered an act of war as an empty threat: “Putin doesn’t want a nuclear war any more than Biden, Johnson, or Macron. He knows, however, that he is dealing with Chamberlains, not with Churchills.”

It is undoubtedly true that Putin sees Biden as weak. It is less certain that if the U.S. sets up a no-fly zone in Ukraine, the Russians will not see it as a casus belli and start World War III. And as odious as Putin’s actions in Ukraine are, they aren’t our fight. Volodymyr Zelensky, for all his heroism, is tied into the World Economic Forum cabal. Ukraine is a corrupt kleptocracy with still-unexplained ties to the Biden family; it was a Ukrainian energy firm that gave Hunter Biden a high-paying job for which he was completely unqualified, in an obvious case of buying influence. Except for brief periods, Ukraine was part of Russia for a thousand years, until 1991. Putin may go on from Ukraine to menace NATO states, and that could be a legitimate casus belli, but Ukraine is no hill to die on or to start a world war on. It is not actually the United States’ responsibility to solve the problems of all the people in the world, and there will always be tyrants, invasions, and occupations. We can’t fix them all, especially with our woke military spending time on gender theory that it could be spending on learning to fight.

In this connection, it is important to recall that even as the Nazis stormed across Europe in 1939, 1940, and 1941, swiftly conquering Poland, Norway, France, and more, the United States did not enter the war. President Franklin D. Roosevelt wanted very much to get into the war, but he could not sell to the American people the idea that it was the responsibility of the American people to fight for Poland, Norway, or France. It was much more widely understood then than it is now that the United States of America is not the world’s policeman or repairman, and will only expend its resources fruitlessly when it tries to act as such (see, for example, Iraq and Afghanistan).

Roosevelt didn’t enter the war, in fact, until the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941, and Adolf Hitler declared war on the United States on December 11. It was at that point, and not before then, that World War II became our fight. Roosevelt had given all manner of aid to the British before Pearl Harbor was bombed, and Biden’s handlers, if they have any spine at all, should do the same in this case, but the idea that, as Puder says, “only the unpleasant choice of a credible threat of Military action will make Russia or Iran change its course” runs the risk of provoking a real war, one that could be far more catastrophic than any war the planet has seen up to now.

There is no doubt that Puder is right: America needs a Churchill in the White House. But when Churchill became prime minister of Great Britain, the war in Europe had already been raging for eight months. He didn’t start the war by reckless actions in a conflict that did not involve his country. We need a prudent leader of his type now, one who will know how much is enough and how much is too much in dealing with Putin. As it is, our feckless State Department and dementia-ridden president are foolishly writing checks their woke military can’t cash.

*Joseph Puder Responds: Evil, If Not Stopped, Will Swallow Us All.

If Vladimir Putin wants a global nuclear war, he could choose multiple reasons to serve as a casus belli and wage war. If pressed hard by western sanctions, including the cutting off of his oil and gas revenues, he is as likely to consider it a casus belli, and turn against the NATO allies. Putin, I have no doubt, feels just as intensely about his economic strangulation as he does about a no-fly zone in and around Lviv, to protect the fleeing Ukrainian refugees, should the US and NATO allies consider imposing it.

Robert Spencer is correct about Ukrainian collaboration with the Nazis, and I should add the rabid antisemitism on the part of many Ukrainians during WWII, and even to some extent today. Naturally, there were some Ukrainians who saved Jews as well. My own parents escaped being murdered by Ukrainians during WWII. My mother’s courage and Russian troops nearby saved them from certain death. Modern Ukraine is different, it seeks to be democratic, and share western values, and Volodymyr Zelensky is not Petro Poroshenko. In the late 1930s or 1940s, the thought of a Jewish president in Ukraine would have been impossible. Today, Ukraine looks to the west – not to the east, and it should be embraced.

Spencer isn’t exactly accurate when asserting that “Ukraine was part of Russia for 1,000 years.” In fact, Russia, as we know it today has its roots in Kiev – Ukraine’s capital. The Kievan state existed until the year 1240 when the Mongol hordes crushed it. Actually, Putin has claimed Ukraine for historical and religious (Russian Orthodoxy) reasons. He forgets however that Kiev was the cradle of what we know as Russia. Kiev originated the Cyrillic alphabet and Russian Orthodoxy.

Let’s be clear, I am not advocating a military and possibly a nuclear confrontation with Putin’s Russia; understandably, such a conflict could lead to World War III and an end to life as we know it. We must however understand that Putin is not some crazy monster who is set on incinerating the west, and his Mother Russia. He is though, succeeding in intimidating the west. When he took Crimea and effectively tore the Donbas region out of Ukraine, the Obama administration and its western allies whimpered, and condemned, but did nothing. And when Obama set up a “red line” against the Syrian dictator upon his use of chemical weapons on his people, he pathetically let it slide…President Joe Biden’s responses to foreign aggression is even more pathetic, as we have seen last year in the Afghanistan debacle.

Putin believes that Russia has some justified reasons to fear the expansion of NATO eastward, and at the same time, he seeks to recreate the former Soviet Union. A child of Soviet propaganda, Putin envisions a superpower Russia with all the natural resources of its former republics such as Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, etc. In a 2014 interview with the former Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev, marking the 25th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall, he (Gorbachev) stated that he thought that the NATO enlargement and incorporation of former Warsaw Pact countries was a “big mistake,” and a “violation of the spirit of the statements and assurances made in 1990.

All of the above notwithstanding, Ukraine held democratic elections, and elected Volodymyr Zelensky as president. The Ukrainian people, moreover, have the right to determine their future, a right Putin does not have. And, if the people of Ukraine choose to join NATO, or the EU, as a sovereign state they have the right to do so.

The real question is where will Putin stop? Will he be satisfied with subjugating Ukraine against the will of most of its people? Poland, Moldova, Romania, Slovakia, and Hungary, all of them border Ukraine; will he push further into these states to punish them for supporting Ukraine? Putin is obviously not deterred by the likes of Joe Biden, Boris Johnson, Emanuel Macron, or Olaf Scholz. He recognizes the near pacifism in the western world, and he is not frightened by western economic sanctions, since they have not hitherto impacted him personally, or for that matter, Russia.

Spencer is correct about FDR wanting to fight Nazi Germany but he could not sell the American people on entering the war to save Poland, France, or other conquered nations. There is a difference however this time around. Article 5 of the NATO charter specifies that the US is committed to fight against any aggression committed against a fellow NATO member. True, Ukraine is not yet a NATO member, and therefore the US has no legal obligation to protect it. But the American people today are far less isolationist than in the 1930s or the period just before Pearl Harbor. Most Americans see it as a moral obligation to defend innocent civilians, and they are aghast by Russia’s naked aggression. I agree with Spencer that “America is not the world’s policeman,” but we must also realize that evil, if not stopped will swallow us all.

While acknowledging Joe Biden's desire for world peace and avoidance of war is understandable, warning Putin with a credible military option against further Russian expansion is essential. At some point, a no-fly zone will become imperative. Sadly, America needs a Churchill in the White House right now. Instead, it seems, we have a Chamberlain.

*Robert Spencer Responds: There's a Fine Line Between Strength and Provocation.

Joseph Puder is certainly correct that if Vladimir Putin wants war with the United States, he could start it now, trumpeting any number of actions by the U.S. and its allies, from expanding NATO ever eastward to arming Ukraine and more, as the reasons why he had no choice but to declare war. It is clear by now that he doesn’t want a world war, which would almost certainly be a nuclear war of unimaginable devastation, any more than Joe Biden and his handlers do. But Puder believes, not without reason, that Biden’s handlers can and should present a much stronger front to Putin, and that doing so would deter the Russian from continuing to pursue his expansionist goals. While strength is always to be preferred to appeasement of a tyrant, however, the current regime of socialist internationalists and spineless dreamers cannot be trusted to know what constitutes a reasonable show of strength and what constitutes an unwarranted provocation.

Take, for example, the expansion of NATO. In his February 24 speech announcing the invasion of Ukraine, Putin said: “In December 2021 we once again made an attempt to agree with the United States and its allies on the principles of ensuring security in Europe and on the non-expansion of NATO. Everything was in vain. The US position did not change. They did not consider it necessary to negotiate with Russia on this important issue for us, continuing to pursue their own goals and disregarding our interests.”

If this is true, it is not hard to imagine Antony Blinken and his team too concerned with making sure the State Department had the right number of racial minorities and proper instruction in Critical Race Theory to concern themselves with Putin’s overtures. They could have and should have known that Russia considers the expansion of NATO into former Soviet republics to be an unacceptable attempt to encircle Russia, as Putin explained in his speech: “I am referring to the expansion of the NATO to the east, moving its military infrastructure closer to Russian borders. It is well known that for 30 years we have persistently and patiently tried to reach an agreement with the leading NATO countries on the principles of equal and inviolable security in Europe. In response to our proposals, we constantly faced either cynical deception and lies or attempts to pressure and blackmail, while NATO, despite all our protests and concerns, continued to steadily expand. The war machine is moving and, I repeat, it is coming close to our borders.”

One doesn’t have to accept Putin’s argument or consider his invasion of Ukraine justified to see that his characterization of Biden’s imperious, elitist State Department is entirely plausible. It is important to point this out now, after the invasion, because the same ham-handed, blinkered, pseudo-intellectual Leftists whose short-sightedness and wrongheadedness let the invasion happen in the first place are still in charge. If a show of strength to Putin can be bungled, they can be counted upon to bungle it.

As for Puder’s claim that it is not accurate to say that “Ukraine was part of Russia for 1,000 years,” he actually demonstrates that it is accurate by noting that “Russia, as we know it today has its roots in Kiev – Ukraine’s capital.” One may quibble over whether Kievan Rus was Russian or Ukrainian, but the telling fact is that it was both and that throughout history the two have been more one people than two. The fact that, as Puder claims I forgot but which was actually the basis of my argument, it is true that “Kiev was the cradle of what we know as Russia,” and that is precisely why Putin believes he has a claim to it. This is not to say that Ukraine should not be independent unless one wishes also to argue that Austria and Germany should be one state, a proposition I am not at all disposed to favor.

Puder says that he is “not advocating a military and possibly a nuclear confrontation with Putin’s Russia,” but the weak and feckless socialist policy wonks who inhabit Biden’s State Department and entire administration have never demonstrated anything comparable to the judiciousness and wisdom of Churchill or anyone else who ever brought a major war to a successful conclusion. Puder is in effect asking that Biden’s gang of arrogant, miseducated children, with no understanding of history, culture, religion, or economics stand up to a canny, unscrupulous, utterly ruthless authoritarian. The consequences of their miscalculation and the hopeless Blinken is certain to miscalculate, would be, as Puder says “World War III and an end to life as we know it.” Putin may not be, as Puder says, “some crazy monster who is set on incinerating the west,” but the foreign policy establishment is a bunch of self-infatuated grad students with no understanding of how the world works; he can and would take advantage of their attempts to draw some “red line” that both he and they would know from the outset was spurious.

Ukraine, meanwhile, is a corrupt kleptocracy that gave Hunter Biden a high-paying job in a field in which he had no experience, in an obvious attempt to curry favor with Joe Biden. It was a phone call with Zelensky that got Trump impeached, in an obvious partisan witch-hunt, the first time. This is not to say that Russia’s invasion of Ukraine was justified, or that Putin is not a scoundrel, or that the Ukrainians are not noble in resistance, or that Zelensky is not courageous. But once again, this is not our fight, and making it our fight could so easily spiral out of control that it is imperative that we keep a cool head amid all the prevailing war fever. Haven’t we learned the lessons of Iraq and Afghanistan yet?

Puder admits that Ukraine is not in NATO and so we have no obligation to defend it, but thinks that we should anyway, for “we must also realize that evil, if not stopped will swallow us all.” Well, yes. But that’s why NATO has members and non-members. We are bound, for better or worse, to defend NATO’s members. If this means that we have an obligation to fight evil anywhere else in the world that it may appear, we might as well bring every country in the world into NATO, so that it is clear that we are obligated to fight for them all and to combat evil wherever and whenever it may break out.

That may be a wonderful sentiment, but it is utterly impracticable. Our resources are not infinite, and our self-serving, corrupt leaders are already pouring out our substance for all manner of boondoggles that benefit the American people not a whit. At some point, the gravy train is going to run out. What we really need is a strong America-First president, who would have made clear to Putin from the outset that his adventurism would have terrible consequences, and who would have always acted in the best interests of the American people. If only there were someone on the scene like that.

Who Needs the Fake Fact-Checkers?

STORY AT-A-GLANCE

  • Facebook has admitted in a court of law that its fact-checkers are not asserting facts but, rather, First Amendment-protected opinions
  • Steve Kirsch, founder of the COVID-19 Early Treatment Fund, recorded a phone call with a fact-checker from PolitiFact, showing just how ignorant the fact checker is about the facts, and how unwilling she is to look at the data
  • There are three sources for vaccine injury data: The Vaccine Adverse Events Reporting System (VAERS) on the Center for Disease Control and Prevention’s Wonder site; OpenVAERS; and MedAlerts, created by the National Vaccine Information Center. Of these, MedAlerts has the easiest-to-use interface if you want to search and collate data
  • What makes VAERS so valuable is the fact that you can find important safety signals that would otherwise be missed. This is its intended function, and it works quite well for that
  • Fact-checkers are now trying to dismiss VAERS data as unreliable at best and useless at worst. But they have a serious problem. The U.S. government had a clear duty, enshrined in law, to create a system to detect potential vaccine injuries. If VAERS is useless, then the government broke the law. In their zeal to protect Big Pharma, fact-checkers may be inadvertently throwing government agencies under the bus

If you thought fact-checkers were a source of unbiased facts, think again. Earlier this year, Facebook admitted, in a court of law, that its fact-checkers are not asserting facts but rather “First Amendment-protected opinions.”1,2

A recent telephone recording by Steve Kirsch, founder of the COVID-19 Early Treatment Fund, in which he responds to a fact-checker from PolitiFact, is equally revealing. The young woman clearly has no idea what she’s talking about, yet she’s been put into a position where she gets to be the sole and final arbiter of truth.

Why Use MedAlerts?

The PolitiFact fact-checker, Gabrielle Settles, contacted Kirsch with a number of questions. First, she wanted to know why he uses MedAlerts3 as a source rather than the Vaccine Adverse Events Reporting System (VAERS) on the Center for Disease Control and Prevention’s Wonder site.

VAERS was an outgrowth of the National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act of 1986, a law that Barbara Loe Fisher, co-founder of the National Vaccine Information Center (NVIC), helped fight for. As you likely know, this site and many of you have supported NVIC with donations, which allows them to carry on their terrific work, including their MedAlerts VAERS database query tool.

Between 1990 and 2001, VAERS data were accessible only by filing a Freedom of Information Act request. In 2001, a VAERS website was created,4 and in 2006 the database was moved to CDC Wonder. The MedAlerts VAERS interface was created by the NVIC, which is the reason why fact-checkers attack it. It went online April 9, 2003.

In response to Settles’ question, Kirsch explained that MedAlerts simply has a more user-friendly interface, while providing the same exact data as VAERS and OpenVAERS.

Are VAERS Data Valid?

Settles then moved on to question the validity of VAERS data in general. She pointed out that raw VAERS reports are not vetted and verified for accuracy, and that they cannot be used to prove causation. In other words, the fact that there are more than 24,400 deaths5 reported post-jab does not automatically mean that the shot was the cause of all those deaths.

Kirsch countered by pointing out that what makes VAERS so valuable is the fact that you can find important safety signals that would otherwise be missed. This is its intended function, and it works quite well for that.

For example, looking at the dosing data for myocarditis, you find that after the first dose, there are relatively few myocarditis cases reported, but after the second dose, reports explode. This kind of consistency in the data is very telling and not easily dismissed.

Fact-checkers are now trying to dismiss VAERS data as unreliable at best and useless at worst. But they have a serious problem because the U.S. government had a clear duty, enshrined in law, to create a system to detect potential vaccine injuries.

If they now want to throw VAERS out, then the government is in a real pickle, because that means they did not create a functional and useful system. If VAERS is so seriously flawed as to be useless, then the government has broken the law and is duty-bound to replace it with something that actually works. It’s a real Catch-22. In their zeal to protect Big Pharma, fact-checkers may be inadvertently throwing government agencies under the bus.

Weak Hit Piece Tries to Salvage the Narrative

PolitiFact published its NVIC/MedAlerts article on February 28, 2022, under the title, “How an Alternative Gateway to VAERS Data Helps Fuel Vaccine Misinformation.”6 While clearly meant as a hit piece, it actually provides NVIC some much-needed publicity, even giving links to both its About Us and Reporting Options pages.

The main point of contention, however, is so weak it smacks of desperation. According to Settles, the government’s disclaimer — which states that VAERS reports can include information that is incomplete or inaccurate and doesn’t provide enough information to determine causation — isn’t prominent enough on the MedAlert’s website.

“Users who go to MedAlerts can search through VAERS reports without ever reading a government disclaimer,” Settles contends, adding that “unlike the CDC’s Wonder database, users on MedAlerts who don’t notice or click on the links won’t see the warnings about what they read.”

Without a clear understanding of the limitations of VAERS, MedAlert’s search results are “vulnerable ... to misinterpretation by members of the public who are not trained to evaluate the information,” Settles insists. She goes on, “When government researchers use and interpret VAERS reports, they are not drawing conclusions based on the numbers alone but, rather, looking for patterns that warrant further study.”

The irony is that this is precisely what Kirsch and many others have been doing. VAERS is a tool that can help identify potential safety issues by looking at patterns and trends, but the total number of reports of a specific problem cannot be discounted because it’s part of the signal.

The fact of the matter is that there are many safety signals in the VAERS data, but those tasked with investigating them are refusing to do it. At this point, one wonders whether any U.S. agency can actually be trusted to conduct an unbiased investigation even if they decided to do one.

Settles also attacks Kirsch personally, dismissing his safety concerns by stating that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration has chalked his claims up as being “not based in science.” Essentially, Settles’ article can be summed up as a desperate attempt to redirect people back to the CDC and FDA propaganda, which dismisses the now outlandishly large number of post-jab VAERS reports as being of no consequence.

Post-Jab Neurological Issues Were Under Investigation in 2021

Meanwhile, The Epoch Times recently reported7 that “Two U.S. agencies have been quietly studying neurological problems that have appeared in people who have had COVID-19 vaccines.”

According to emails reviewed by The Epoch Times, Dr. Janet Woodcock, principal deputy director of the FDA, “has been personally evaluating neurologic side effects from the COVID-19 vaccines since at least Sept. 13, 2021.” In a November 16, 2021, email, Woodcock wrote:8

“We are having difficulty pinning down these nervous system-related events that have been brought to our attention. I’ve asked for specific searches of the reports we get both from here and ex-U.S. (as these vaccines have been used in many countries) as well as from trials, where oversight of participants is greater.”

Emails from Dr. Peter Marks, director of the FDA’s Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research, which is in charge of the regulation of vaccines, suggest other FDA epidemiologists were also looking into it, as were a team at the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS), which belongs to the National Institutes of Health. The NINDS supposedly started seeing vaccine-injured patients in early 2021. According to The Epoch Times:9

“Dr. Avindra Nath, clinical director of the NIH’s NINDS, headed a team that examined patients who experienced serious neurological issues ... Nath and Dr. Farinaz Safavi, one of Nath’s top deputies, have said they believe the issues are linked to the vaccines.

‘We started an effort at NIH to look at neurological side effects of COVID-19 vaccines,’ Safavi said in an email to one of the patients on March 3, 2021. ‘We believe the symptoms to be real. That is the reason we have been treating patients,’ Nath said in a different message on July 27, 2021.”

Were Patients Abandoned to Protect Big Pharma Profits?

While it’s tempting to see this as good news, there’s something really strange going on. For starters, none of these investigations was ever publicly announced. Why not?

What’s worse, as 2021 wore on, the research appears to have stalled and then been abandoned altogether. It’s hard to find another explanation for this other than they don’t want to do anything that might force them to take the COVID jab off the market.

“Even among those examined, the excitement of connecting with top researchers and government officials turned to disappointment and frustration when repeated queries yielded few signs of progress on research into post-vaccination problems,” The Epoch Times writes.10

“Woodcock and Marks would often only provide updates after being prodded ... Nath and Safavi also grew distant as 2021 wore on. They eventually stopped examining patients.”

Brianne Dressen, who had been examined by Nath and given a diagnosis of “post-vaccine neuropathy,” suddenly hit a dead end as 2021 drew to a close. Nath would do no more for her, and also told her to stop referring patients to him, saying they did “not have any clinical trial for vaccine-related complications.” Epoch Times writes:

“Dressen responded in January that she will ‘always be indebted to you and what you did for me,’ crediting Nath ... with keeping her alive. However, she added, her ‘heart is shattered.’

‘I am more confused now than ever about what my active and willing engagement in the scientific process actually meant, or has led to,’ she wrote ... ‘Looking back on this, I can see how unethical it was even when they were helping us,’ Dressen told The Epoch Times.”

Another vaccine-injured patient, Dr. Danice Hertz, who was seen virtually by NIH experts in early 2021, expressed similar feelings to The Epoch Times.

“Hertz described being shocked about the lack of public acknowledgement of the post-vaccination issues by the FDA ... ‘They refuse to acknowledge what’s happening to so many thousands of people,’ Hertz told The Epoch Times. ‘We’ve been completely abandoned. And we’re despondent over it.’”11

Who Is Responsible to Investigate and Treat Side Effects?

People who have been injured by the COVID jab are now in an incredibly tough situation, as doctors, government agencies, and vaccine makers are all refusing responsibility. In a September 16, 2021, email to Dressen, Nath wrote:12

“Ordinarily when any drug is released, it is the manufacturers responsibility to investigate and treat the side effects. Where are the vaccine manufacturers in all of this? Have you tried contacting them? It cannot be the government’s responsibility to pick up after them. They are a [for] profit company and they should be the ones taking change [sic]. Don’t you think?”

But vaccine makers are not investigating or treating side effects either. Why would they? They’ve been granted total immunity against liability. The only way they can be held responsible for damages is if they’re found guilty of willful misconduct or fraud.

Unfortunately, the FDA, CDC, and NIH aren’t looking for misconduct or fraud. They’re covering it up. And mainstream media, including so-called “fact” checkers, have been bought wholesale by an industry that has every intention of obfuscating and hiding the truth about their products.

Why Media Have Embraced Censorship

As noted by independent journalist Paul Thacker,13 mainstream media are refusing to call big tech censorship for what it is, in large part because they support, and indeed need, fake fact checks:

“Disinformation doesn’t have to be sophisticated when people believe what they read. Once this belief is established, censors ensure that disinformation remains strong, followed by denial that there is censoring. That way inconvenient facts do not mar the chosen story.”

In the COVID era, the chosen story includes the fantasy that the COVID jabs are safe and effective and have harmed no one, and there’s simply no way to prop up that story without fake fact checks.

Who Funds the Fake Fact Checkers?

It should come as no surprise then that fact-checking organizations are funded by Big Pharma and Big Pharma PR companies like the Publicis Groupe, which also happens to be a partner of both Google14,15 and the World Economic Forum (WEF).16

Pfizer, for example, funds Facebook’s fact-checking operation.17 Is it any wonder then that Facebook rejects anything that criticizes the COVID jabs? Pfizer also has significant conflicts of interest with Reuters. Reuters chairman (and former CEO) James Smith is both a top investor and board member of Pfizer.18 Might he have a vested interest in keeping Pfizer’s media record clear of incriminating details?

Many fact-checking organizations also belong to the International Fact-Checking Network,19 which is financed by George Soros (through his Open Society Foundation and the National Endowment for Democracy), Google, and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation20 — all of whom are part of the WEF’s technocratic cabal that is pushing for a Great Reset.

Truth Tellers Have Data, Liars Have None

To end where we began, with the fact check on Kirsch and the NVIC’s MedAlert, a few days after posting his conversation with Settles, he received an email from PolitiFact’s editor-in-chief, Angie Holan, asking him to remove the recording. He refused. In a February 25, 2022, Substack post, Kirsch wrote:21

“Gabrielle asked if she could record the call and I consented, so that entitles all parties to record the call. PolitiFact did not deny that we both consented. She wrote, ‘I am not in the least embarrassed by how she conducted the interview. I'm asking that you remove the video as a professional courtesy because the reporter did not consent to be recorded.’

First of all, she should be embarrassed by the interview. The interviewer was clearly focused on proving an agenda and showed no interest in exploring evidence that was counter her agenda. I gave her the story of the century if she would just follow up on what I suggested she do.

Secondly with respect to permission, by asking me if it was OK to record the call, she is giving implied consent for the call to be recorded since she is doing the asking. All parties on the call consented to being recorded meaning the conversation is no longer private and all parties can record the call.

I then raised the stakes: I challenged PolitiFact to a debate to settle the matter once and for all in front of a live Internet audience as to who are the liars and who are the truth tellers ...

Of course, the problem with a debate is that usually one side wins. If it is the misinformation spreaders, the narrative is crushed. This is why nobody wants a debate: they can’t take the risk.

PolitiFact can’t win a fair debate. There is way too much information out now on how dangerous the vaccines are that is impossible for them to explain. This is why I don’t think that there is a snowball’s chance in hell they will accept.”

Indeed, the chances of PolitiFact accepting an invitation to debate someone like Kirsch, who has all of his ducks in a row, is slim to none. In fact, it’s probably because of the excellent data analysis of Kirsch and others that the CDC has started withholding certain data on COVID jab injuries and hospitalizations. The reason given is that “they might be misinterpreted as the vaccines being ineffective.” But as noted by Kirsch:22

“The only way the vaccine data could be interpreted as ineffective by us ‘misinformation spreaders’ is if the data shows the vaccines don’t work ... The CDC long-standing policy is that no information can be released that may threaten the national vaccination initiative.

This isn’t about public safety. This is about not letting the public know the vaccines are killing them ... Let’s be clear. The CDC hid the data because the data proves they were lying to us. That’s the real reason.”

Starbucks Employee Claims to Have Spit in a Conservative Student’s Coffee

BY NATIONAL FILE

A Starbucks employee claims to have spit in a prominent conservative student leader’s coffee in Denton, Texas. University of North Texas (UNT) student and former YCT (Young Conservatives of Texas) President, Kelly Neidert, found the post on Yik Yak, an anonymous Twitter-style social network popular on college campuses.

UNT is the same campus where dozens of far-left activists shut down a speaking event featuring Texas State House Candidate Jeff Younger earlier this month. Younger gained widespread recognition following a lengthy custody battle over his son James, where Younger’s ex-wife, Dr. Anne Georgulas, diagnosed their son with “gender dysphoria,” which is a psychological disorder characterized by a child’s “consistent and insistent” expression of “cross-gender statements and behaviors.”

A jury said Dr. Georgulas had the right to “transition” her son, who she has reportedly renamed “Luna.” Younger eventually lost custody of his son last August.

Kelly Neidert played a big part in organizing the event for Younger, which was hijacked and ruined by dozens of far-left agitators. The extremists pounded on tables and shouted “**ck you fascist” until Younger and the event organizers were forced to leave. The group was later attacked by more far-left extremists as they exited the event.

Police ultimately had to hide the 22-year-old in a janitor’s closet due to the mob’s threats. Neidert said she had already coordinated with police prior to the event because she had been receiving “death threats and threats of violence” at school prior to the event.

A little over a week after the event, Neidert discovered a Yik Yak post in which a Starbucks employee claims to have spit in her drink. “Kelly from the right came to my Starbucks this morning and she got a BIG spit in her drink,” reads the post. “Starbucks employees spit in my drink because they knew I’m conservative! Conservative Twitter, do your thing,” the UNT student leader wrote in response.

According to Neidert, the incident took place at Starbucks Store #11149, which can be reached at 1-940-382-0242. The Starbucks location did not respond to National File’s request for comment.

“Greatest Fraud in History”: Doctors Sue Federal Government Over COVID Vax

BY VERONIKA KYRYLENKO

republished below in full unedited for informational, educational & research purposes:

America’s Frontline Doctors, a group of medical professionals who work to promote early COVID-19 treatments and to expose the influence of pharmaceutical companies on federal decision-making, is suing the U.S. government over the COVID vaccination campaign. The latter is called by the plaintiffs “the greatest fraud in the history of the world.”

The suit filed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Alabama on February 16 includes a comprehensive amount of evidence regarding such pressing issues as serious side effects linked to COVID vaccinations recorded in the U.S. military and COVID vaccines’ ineffectiveness in preventing infection and protecting one from severe disease, as shown in the breakthrough infections records of Medicare patients.

The lawsuit alleges that the federal government — and particularly the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), which is ostensibly responsible for protecting public health by ensuring the safety, efficacy, and security of medical products — was aware of these issues yet intentionally withheld them from the public.

The suit was filed by Ohio-based attorney Thomas Renz, who posted a “Special Notice Regarding Critical Evidence Related to COVID-19, Potential Governmental Corruption, and the Safety of Our Military and Citizens” on his website. The document provides bullet-point information on each allegation made in the lawsuit, and is intended to be shared with lawmakers, governors, state attorneys general, “and as many other elected officials as possible throughout the nation.”

The notice reads,

For approximately two years now, two presidents, congress, the federal and state court systems, and the American public have been lied to, manipulated, and injured. What started as one of the most egregious over-reaches of executive power in American history — 14 days to flatten the curve — quickly morphed into an anathema to the principles upon which our republic was founded. These lies and manipulation have resulted in an economic crisis, a mental health crisis, the erosion of freedoms fundamental to all Americans, and the debilitation of our military.

While Renz underlines that his clients do not deny COVID-19’s existence, he states that non-establishment doctors have accumulated enough evidence to prove the “combination of unelected and totally corrupt bureaucrats, big tech and big pharma billionaires, the mainstream media, and the healthcare/pharmaceutical industry have successfully perpetrated the greatest fraud in the history of the world.” That was achieved through such methods as “data manipulation, terrible public health policy, and political manipulation that made a disease with approximately the same case fatality rate as the seasonal flu in most people appear to be the end of the world.”

The notice focuses on the damage that COVID vaccines have done to U.S. troops who have been vaccinated since late March 2020. The shots were mandated for the military in August 2021, and all non-compliant servicemen have been threatened with discharge. As of today, as stated by Renz, the U.S. military might become weaker by a quarter, since 25 percent of all servicemen have refused the shot.

Military Data: Spike in Diseases

Thanks to Department of Defense (DOD) whistleblowers Doctors Samuel Sigoloff, Peter Chambers, and Theresa Long, it has been revealed that U.S. military personnel have seen a significant increase in cancers, neurological, and reproductive issues, and numerous other conditions in 2021 compared to the five-year average rate. The information was learned from the Defense Military Epidemiological Database (DMED), the official database of the anonymous medical records of all American servicemen.

As reported by The New American at the time, Renz presented this bombshell information during a panel discussion titled “Covid-19: A Second Opinion” in Washington, D.C., on January 24, 2022, hosted by Senator Ron Johnson (R-Wis.). Following the panel, the senator wrote a letter to DOD Secretary Lloyd Austin asking if he was aware of this troubling development and if he had done anything to investigate it.

Renz said in the notice that the DOD reacted to the news by providing a statement to a “fact-checking” organization claiming that “a glitch occurred in this database affecting the data from 2016-2020.”

Renz is not buying this. He says that it is unclear how a glitch could occur in “the premier epidemiological database in the world,” which is being meticulously monitored by “the entire division of the military” and also the nation’s top healthcare agencies. If that truly happened, then the health advice in the years 2016-2020 was based on false premises. Then, if there was a technical issue, how could it “repair” itself in 2021, while the whole matter remained unnoticed until the exposure in 2022?

“What has occurred represents negligence on an unprecedented level and, more likely, a clear cover-up,” alleges Renz.

Project Salus: Shots’ Low Effectiveness

DOD data accumulated and analyzed by Project Salus between January and August 2021, showed that Biden administration officials and the president’s chief medical advisor, Dr. Anthony Fauci, were “lying in claiming this to be a ‘crisis of the unvaxxed,’” say the physicians.

Among the Medicare population of 16 million seniors, “an estimated 71% of COVID-19 cases occurred in fully vaccinated individuals.” They also accounted for some 60 percent of all COVID hospitalizations.

The project was also intended to track shots’ safety. The methodology that was used, however, seems to be designed to conceal a number of side effects. For example, all side effects that occurred within 14 days of full vaccination were excluded from reporting. At the same time, “It is well known that most side effects occur within 14 days of receiving these injections,” per the lawsuit.

Any side effects that occurred after the first dose of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines, which are part of a two-shot series, were also ignored.

The data on breakthrough infections has not been shared with the public, nor, “to our knowledge,” with elected officials, note the plaintiffs.

They conclude,

This document definitively demonstrates that the DoD and DHHS (Department of Health and Human Services) have known for quite some time that the injections are ineffective but have continued to force them on our military and healthcare workers, while also falsely promoting the “safe and effective” narrative to Congress, the courts, and the public.

Post-authorization Adverse Event Reports of Pfizer Shot

More than 40 thousand serious adverse events and more than 1,200 deaths were reported in the first two and a half months since the beginning of Pfizer’s COVID shot rollout. In 9,400 cases, the outcomes for vaccine recipients were unknown. This is according to the FDA’s own document titled “Cumulative analysis of post-authorization adverse event reports of PF-07302048 (BNT162B2) received through 28-Feb-2021”:

Despite the document identifying a total of 1,291 so-called adverse effects of special interest, the FDA concluded that the benefits of Pfizer shots outweigh the risks.

A “special interest” is explained by the adverse events’ “association with severe COVID-19 and events of interest for vaccines in general,” per the notice.

“Given that these injections were only authorized — as opposed to approved — and that they were a new category of drugs (gene therapies), why were these not listed as potential side effects?” ask the doctors.

FDA’s Presentation: Limited Data on Effectiveness; Withheld Data on Safety

On October 22, 2020, the FDA’s Vaccines and Related Biological Products Advisory Committee (VRBPAC) presented the data on the safety and efficacy of the COVID shots, which was monitored through a number of systems such as VAERS, FDA BEST, DOD, Veterans Affairs, FDA-CMS partnership, and others. Some were said to be monitored in “near real-time.”

The Renz notice reminds the public that according to federal law, both healthcare professionals and those who may receive the shot are made aware “of the significant known and potential benefits and risks of the emergency use of the product, and of the extent to which such benefits and risks are unknown.”

The FDA, per its own data, was aware of the numerous side effects yet never made them a part of the informed consent packets shared with the potential vaccine recipients, “nor has the public been made aware of the real potential for these outcomes,” according to the notice.

The VRBPAC’s presentation also acknowledged that “there may be limited information available at licensure on level and duration of effectiveness.”

Halt Vaccinations

The physicians are urging decision-makers to take “immediate action be taken to lift any and all mandates for military personnel to receive these dangerous injections.”

The doctors also argue for the passage of legislation repealing immunity for vaccine manufacturers: “If vaccines are truly safe and effective no one should oppose this.”

Finally, the shots must be stripped of their authorization and “illegal approvals” “until such time as the public can be properly informed of the real risks of the ‘vaccines’ and of COVID-19,” say the doctors.

Hundreds of trucks, recreational vehicles, and cars made their way to the outskirts of Washington, D.C., on Sunday, aiming to slow traffic around the nation’s capital as part of a protest against the ongoing COVID-related state of emergency.

The largest group of truckers, called “The People’s Convoy,” started in Adelanto, California, last week and has merged with several other organized convoys to converge on D.C. in a protest similar to those that halted Canadian government operations in Ottawa in January and early February.

According to The Washington Post, the convoy organizers said they circled the Beltway — a 64-mile interstate highway surrounding Washington, D.C.,  and its inner suburbs in Maryland and Virginia — twice on Sunday, causing a traffic standstill by 3 p.m. EST.

The convoy is currently staged at the Hagerstown Speedway in Maryland.

One of the convoy’s organizers, Brian Brase, told the outlet the convoy plans to stay at the speedway until “at least” Sunday, expressing his hope that “this is all over by Wednesday.” Brase did not share the group’s plans for the rest of the week, “but said convoy members are working on plans to meet with lawmakers this week.”

Brase mentioned that one of the lawmakers offered the truckers his help in getting together “all Congress, Senate, whatever necessary to come and listen [to the truckers].”

If Congress fails to pay attention to the protesters and refuses to speak with them, then more trucks will come to the D.C. area.

“I’m hopeful that we have a successful dialogue with congressmen and women and senators that help get what we’re looking for pushed through in a timely fashion,” said the trucker. “If they don’t come to the table to meet with us or they ignore us, then every day it will escalate.”

The convoy’s main demand is that the United States government rescind the coronavirus-inspired state of emergency. The national state of emergency was first declared on March 13, 2020, by President Donald Trump under the National Emergencies Act (NEA). President Joe Biden extended it in February 2021, and then again in February 2022.

The group also demands government accountability for the pandemic response “through full and transparent congressional hearings,” per their official statement.

Brase shared that the group has no plans to go to the city “at this time,” or block the Beltway altogether. Such moves, the organizer believes, would be unpopular among the locals and would cost the truckers their support.

Maureen Steele, another People’s Convoy leader, said last week that shutting down the Beltway or going into the city would be illegal. “Like we’ve announced from the beginning, we don’t have any intention of being unlawful,” she said.

She added, “After January 6, what went on there, there was never any intention of going into DC proper. We’ve discouraged other people from doing it.”

The group’s statement reads,

We are NOT going into DC proper, and we will NOT be there for the State of the Union

We are NOT associated with Bob Bolus or other convoys who are planning to go into DC

Bob Bolus is a Pennsylvania-based trucker who leads another truckers’ convoy, this one from Scranton, Pennsylvania. He said previously that his group was planning to shut down D.C. While he said that they would leave one lane open for emergency vehicles, Bolus told Fox on February 21, “I’ll give you an analogy of that of a giant boa constrictor. That basically squeezes you, chokes you and it swallows you, and that’s what we’re going to do [to] D.C.”

However, Dan Fitzgerald of the “Freedom Convoy” mentioned that a couple of trucks may wind up at Pennsylvania Avenue.

“I can tell you now that there will be select trucks going to the White House,” he said during a Friday morning livestream, per the Daily Mail. “I don’t want people thinking we are invading D.C. This is not the convoy going into D.C. commons. These are a few select drivers.”

On Monday, the People’s Convoy plans to loop around the Beltway just once, Brase told the Post but will occupy two lanes instead of one and drive at the minimum legal speed limit. Brase also noted that his group is coordinating with local law enforcement.

Officials in the district have been stepping up security since late February in preparation for the truckers allegedly coming to Washington, D.C., on March 1, the day of President Biden’s State of the Union address. As a part of preparations, a razor-wire-topped, seven-foot-tall fence had been reinstalled around the Capitol complex. In addition to that, the Pentagon approved the deployment of 700 unarmed National Guard troops to the nation’s capital to help local law enforcement control the traffic.

On Sunday, the Capitol Police Board, the overseer of the police force that protects Congress and Capitol Hill, issued an emergency declaration in response to the convoys’ arrival, according to CNN.

Announcing the emergency, the House Sergeant at Arms William Walker advised members of Congress and their staffers to consider telework options and the use of public transportation to avoid traffic delays, per the outlet.

Bloomberg explained that the emergency declaration allows police to ask for help from the National Guard and permit payment for officers’ hotel and food costs.

France: Twitter suspends multiple campaign accounts of Zemmour and Le Pen

We have known for years that Twitter and the other social media giants were not neutral platforms, but they are more open and brazen about their efforts to silence dissent from the far-Left agenda of the global political and media elites. One prime reason why Twitter hates Zemmour and Le Pen is that they oppose mass Muslim migration into France and the West in general. The very fact this happened is a key illustration of why Macron must be defeated and the sinister power of these cabals must be broken if France is to have any future as a free republic.

“#STOPcensorship: Twitter Suspension Of Zemmour And Le Pen Campaign Accounts Is Undeniable Indication Of Political Censorship,” translated from “#STOPcensure: La Suspension Des Comptes De Campagne De Zemmour Et Le Pen Par Twitter Est L’indication Indéniable D’une Censure Politique,” GETTR, March 5, 2022:

Twitter’s Friday night political hit on political campaign accounts associated with French presidential candidates Marine Le Pen and Éric Zemmour is a stunning act of censorship that highlights GAFAM’s political bias and the importance of alternatives like GETTR that promote freedom of expression.

Less than 24 hours after French President Emmanuel Macron announced his re-election bid, Twitter has proven itself in the service of his campaign through the suspension of the accounts of Marine Le Pen’s deputy campaign director, Jean-Philippe Tanguy, its communications manager, Alexandre Loubet, as well as multiple accounts linked to Eric Zemmour’s campaign, including all accounts associated with Generation Z, the young activist movement Reconquête!

“Exactly as we predicted, Twitter is going after Macron’s opponents, and especially supporters of Éric Zemmour. Big Tech giants like Twitter and Facebook have long used censorship as a tool to silence critics and political opponents, but we just didn’t think it would become so obvious,” said Jason Miller, CEO of GETTR.

“The head of Twitter France, Damien Viel, owes the French an explanation for this dangerous attack on the integrity of the presidential election. It is clear now that the French cannot be trusted to disseminate honest information around the election, which further justifies the importance of GETTR. It’s no wonder people are moving to GETTR in droves.”…

Biden’s Handlers Find Another Authoritarian State to Buy Oil From: VENEZUELA

This isn’t rocket science: gas prices are hitting astronomical new heights every day because Old Joe Biden closed the Keystone Pipeline, ended our energy independence, and forced us to rely on supplies of Russian oil that have become problematic in all kinds of ways with the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Yet even as the crisis intensifies, Biden’s handlers refuse to reverse course and restore America’s own oil supplies; instead, it is courting authoritarian regimes, as if paying Russia for oil wasn’t enough financing of tyranny already. Next in line: Venezuela.

First came the Islamic Republic of Iran. On Wednesday, MSNBC’s Stephanie Ruhle asked Transportation Secretary Pete “Mr. Mom” Buttigieg if Biden would consider “working something out with Iran” for oil. Buttigieg wouldn’t rule out that possibility: “Look, the president has said that all options are on the table. But we also need to make sure we’re not galloping after permanent solutions to immediate short term problems where more strategic and tactical actions in the short term could make a difference.”

But the “Death to America”-chanting mullahs aren’t enough. Fox News reported Sunday that “several senior Biden administration officials from the White House and State Department traveled to Venezuela on Saturday to meet with the Russian ally as Moscow’s economy begins to crater under the weight of sanctions, according to a report.” The idea is to entice the brutal hard-Left regime of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro away from Moscow’s embrace. The U.S. used to be Venezuela’s biggest customer for its oil exports, but the Trump administration put sanctions on those exports in view of the Venezuelan regime’s tyrannical behavior and election fraud.

But for Biden’s handlers, that sort of thing is no problem, as is clear from the fact that the administration’s trip to Venezuela was “the highest-profile one to Venezuela from American officials in years.” The agenda is obvious: “Some in the U.S. are considering Venezuelan oil as a possible substitute to Russian imports, as more American politicians say the U.S. needs to end its reliance on Russian oil, which could help finance Putin’s war.” Maduro opened the door to this himself on Thursday, saying: “Here lies the oil of Venezuela, which is available for whoever wants to produce and buy it, be it an investor from Asia, Europe, or the United States.”

It’s astonishing that we have an administration that would rather buy oil from two regimes that terrorize their own people than take the steps that would restore the energy independence the United States enjoyed under the Trump administration. This is partly because the “adults” who are back in charge now are so spiteful, hateful, and immature that they must do the opposite of whatever Trump did, no matter how well it worked and how ill-advised the alternative. Biden’s handlers also have to please the green energy advocates who form such an important part of their base and who apparently don’t mind the environmental damage that results from the production of oil if it takes place in far-off countries and isn’t on CNN.

Related: Oil, Oil Everywhere But Not a Drop of Sense

Imagine if Biden’s handlers reversed course, reopened the Keystone Pipeline, and worked to restore America’s energy independence. The economy would improve, gas prices would go down, and we would be free of potentially dangerous entanglements with the likes of Russia, Iran, and Venezuela.

What’s the downside, apart from a few angry green energy advocates? It’s tempting to think that Biden’s handlers are behaving in a stupid and short-sighted way in all this, but they’re actually anything but stupid, and that leaves only one alternative: their America-Last priorities are on full display here. Biden’s handlers appear to be so committed to socialist internationalism that they would rather see corrupt, authoritarian regimes in other countries benefit than see the American people relieved from their increasingly severe economic plight.

If we shift from Russian oil to Iranian and Venezuelan oil, we will no longer be financing the invasion of Ukraine, which would be a fine thing, but it is unlikely that these two inveterately hostile regimes will give us a deal that would lead to a drop in fuel prices. Why should they? When the mullahs chant “Death to America,” they’re not just mouthing empty words; if Biden’s handlers hand them a sword, they will happily plunge it into our vitals. Venezuela is unlikely to be more friendly. Once again, 2022 and 2024 can’t come fast enough.
