Christian Group Sues Biden Administration Over Transgender Surgeries

The Christian Employers Alliance (CEA) is suing the Biden administration over two mandates that force religious nonprofit and for-profit employers to fund "gender transition surgeries, procedures, counseling, and treatments."

Alliance Defending Freedom on Tuesday filed a motion asking a federal district court in Bozeman, Montana, to cease enforcement of the measures on behalf of the Christian employers group, an organization that provides support to Christian businesses and nonprofits, National Review reports.

The lawsuit maintains that the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) is misinterpreting and improperly enforcing the definition of sex discrimination included in Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 to force employers to provide gender transition medical coverage and procedures against their religious beliefs.

The lawsuit says the enforcement of a similar mandate by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services that reinterprets "sex" to include gender identity will make religious health care providers "physically perform, facilitate, or promote gender transition surgeries and procedures that are contrary to their deeply held religious beliefs and expert medical judgment."

Title VII makes it unlawful to discriminate against someone on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex (including pregnancy, sexual orientation, and gender identity) or religion. The Act also makes it unlawful to retaliate against a person because the person complained about discrimination, filed a charge of discrimination, or participated in an employment discrimination investigation or lawsuit.

The CEA says on its website that its mission is to "unite, equip, and represent Christian-owned businesses to protect religious freedom and provide the opportunity for employees, businesses, and communities to flourish."

CEA President Shannon Royce said "employers and entrepreneurs, like many Americans, are growing increasingly concerned by rising costs that can be blamed in part on oppressive government mandates."

"These gender transition mandates greatly exacerbate this problem by threatening religious employers with punishing fines, burdensome litigation costs, the loss of federal funds, and even criminal penalties," Royce said. "Additionally, the mandate creates a unique quagmire of concerns for religious healthcare providers by forcing them to speak positively about gender transition procedures even if they disagree with them."

In May 2021, the Biden administration prohibited discrimination against transgender people in healthcare.

Alliance Defending Freedom senior counsel Matt Bowman said Biden has "far overreached his constitutional authority" by improperly enforcing federal law "to the detriment of people of faith across the country."

"The government cannot force Christian employers to pay for, or physically perform, harmful medical procedures that contradict their religious beliefs," Bowman said in a statement.

The Supreme Court’s decision in Bostock v. Clayton County, Ga. in 2020, said sex discrimination protections in the workplace include transgender people. Some Christian conservatives are concerned that the decision has impacted religious freedoms and affected faith-based employment.

Archbishop Jose Horacio Gomez, president of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, said at the time that the Supreme Court had effectively redefined the legal meaning of "sex."

“House Approves Bill Barring States From Restricting Abortions”

By Zachary Stieber
The Epoch Times

The House of Representatives approved a bill on Sept. 24 that, if the Senate follows suit and the measure is signed into law, would bar states from restricting abortions. . . .

The legislation states that abortion services are a constitutional right, as decided by the Supreme Court in Roe v. Wade, although that access to abortion “has been obstructed across the United States in various ways,” including by state laws.

It also states that health care providers would be able to carry out abortions with virtually no limitations or requirements, a provision aimed at pre-empting new state laws, as well as superseding some current laws at the state level. Click here to continue reading.

Iran detains Christians in 24 provinces: ‘You don’t have the right to gather with church members’

From the international media, you’d get the impression that this is how Muslims are treated in the U.S. and Europe, not the way Christians are treated in Iran. And the establishment media won’t say a word about this.

“‘We weren’t afraid of prison, but we were afraid of being raped,’” Article 18, October 1, 2021:

Emma’s interrogator said her arrest was part of a major national operation, in which Christians in as many as 23 other Iranian provinces had been detained.

It was the day after Christmas in 2010, just two months since the Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, had warned in an infamous speech in Qom that the spread of house-churches were among the “critical threats” facing the Islamic Republic – by “deceiving young Muslims”.

It was a speech that made headlines around the world, and it seems as though Emma’s interrogator was one of those listening.

“He said that if they don’t stop Christians, and the Church, the security of the country would be at risk,” Emma recalls….

Emma, whose birth name was Azam Safaei, had been arrested at her home in Bandar Abbas, southern Iran, early in the morning of 26 December.

“It was between 6.30am and 7am when someone rang our doorbell,” she explains. “It was cloudy that day. I heard the bell, but I was still sleepy. Suddenly, my husband, Peyman, said loudly: ‘Get up, grab everything you can, and clean up. The MOIS [Ministry of Intelligence Service] are here. They’re climbing over the wall!’”

Four male agents proceeded to enter their home, waking up their school-age children, Negar and Navid, whom Emma says were “terrified and wanted to know what had happened”.

Eventually, the children were ordered to go outside and play in the garden.

“But out of curiosity, and also fear, from behind the curtain they tried to look inside the house,” Emma says, until an officer ordered them not to.

The agents then searched the property for anything related to Christianity, placing all they found on the floor of the family’s main room. These were the items that were to be confiscated.

They included, in Emma’s words, “paintings of Jesus and the Last Supper, a beautiful carved wooden cross, and a crystal cross we had bought from Kish [an island in the Persian Gulf], different Christian books, and a Bible which I had recently got for my mother”.

None of these items were ever returned.

Search completed, Emma was escorted out of her home and told to keep her head down as she was driven away to an unknown location.

She was then blindfolded and made to hold onto a roll of paper, with which she was led into a building.

“There were people laughing at me and telling me to be careful not to fall,” Emma explains….

She says that during her arrest, “the fear of being raped kept coming to my mind, and this made me suffer.

“We had heard a lot about the rapes of women, and even men, during the detentions in 2009 [after mass protests]. We were not afraid of going to prison, but we were afraid of being raped.

“Once, a man entered my solitary cell, with his shoes on, and other officers locked the door from the outside. I was very scared.

“He had a piece of paper in his hand, and he asked me medical questions. But after the interrogation ended, he asked, with a strange smile on his face, ‘Do you have experience being arrested? Does your husband know you’re here?’ I tensed up, became defensive, and didn’t look into his face. I only said: ‘Yes, he knows I’m here.’”

When Emma later refused to sign a piece of paper committing to no more involvement with Christians, she says her interrogator, knowing her fear of rape, used this “weakness” to imply that if she stayed in prison any longer, that would be the consequence.

“He said with a grin: ‘It seems as though you like it here and would like to stay longer?’ He had found my weakness, and started to speak suggestively,” Emma says.

“I bowed my head and said that I wouldn’t sign what he had written – that it would be like still being in prison, and take away my basic rights. How could I not connect with anyone?”

So the interrogator took another sheet of paper and changed some of the wording.

This time it read: “You don’t have the right to evangelise. You don’t have the right to gather with church members. You can’t travel from Iran to Armenia or Turkey. You must obtain written permission to travel to other cities within Iran… All until the judge issues a verdict.”

When Emma was finally brought before a judge – “a young man, strongly built” – she was struck by the cleanliness of the room.

“It felt very odd to see such a clean room in that place,” she says. “The smell of coffee also filled the room. Everyone was drinking coffee.”

This was in stark contrast to the place she had been held, which Emma describes as “a very dirty room with no windows… My body was itching because of the dust and dampness of the environment. The walls were painted only superficially; beneath the paint, you could see the scribbles of former prisoners. It was very depressing and suffocating.

“I asked for soap and they said there was soap. I told them that it was small and dirty. They laughed and said: ‘She thinks she’s come to a hotel!’”

The judge told Emma that what she had said in her interrogations about God being able to speak to people was blasphemy, and asked whether she already knew that his verdict was going to be the death sentence.

Emma’s response was both shocking and courageous.

“I said that if the God that I love issued my death sentence, then I would be ready to die,” Emma says. “The judge became angry and said that I was naive, looking for trouble, and that I had been deceived.”

This wasn’t the first time Emma had been threatened with death for her decision to become a Christian.

Inside the prison, she says “Ayatollah Khamenei’s speech about the death sentence for apostasy from Islam was regularly played over the loudspeakers”…..

Marxianity: Corruption of the Church by Radical Left

In this interview with The New American magazine's Senior Editor Alex Newman, author and prominent radio host Brannon Howse calls out various evils and lies that are corrupting churches across the nation. These include “social justice,” “white privilege,” socialism, communism, LGBTism, anti-Americanism, and more. Howse, who has been sounding the alarm for decades, blames some of the biggest names in evangelicalism for either helping or tolerating this subversion of U.S. churches. The church must fight back, he said, pointing to churches in Germany that went along with Adolf Hitler's National Socialist evil. 🇺🇸 The New American: http://www.thenewamerican.com/

Fordham Placed in Bottom 10 of College Free Speech Rankings

In FIRE’s second year administering a student survey, Fordham’s ongoing court battles stood out to respondents

Following the university’s court battles against Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) and Austin Tong, Gabelli School of Business at Lincoln Center ’21, Fordham was ranked 145 of 154 schools in the College Free Speech Rankings survey by the Foundation for Individual Rights in Education (FIRE) in 2021. The ranking was determined by feedback from Fordham students.

FIRE is a nonpartisan organization committed “to defend and sustain the individual rights of students and faculty members at America’s colleges and universities,” according to the organization’s website. FIRE educates students about First Amendment rights.

Fordham has been ranked in FIRE’s list of the worst 10 schools for free speech three times, with statements from FIRE specifically referencing the SJP lawsuit and the Austin Tong controversy.

“Fordham does promise free speech. And right now, it is bad at living up to that promise.”Adam Goldstein, FCLC ’99

This year’s list is based on the opinions of 250 Fordham students. FIRE did not specify how these students were selected or if they were representative of the student body. Students in the survey expressed that they found it difficult to have “an open and honest conversation” about racial inequality, the conflict in Palestine, and many other issues at Fordham.

Adam Goldstein, Fordham College at Lincoln Center ’99, senior research counsel to the president at FIRE, explained that Fordham’s broken promises of guaranteeing free speech to students led to the university’s low ranking.

“Fordham does promise free speech. And right now, it is bad at living up to that promise, according to its own students,” Goldstein said.

Fordham is classified by FIRE as a “red light” institution, meaning Fordham has at least one policy that clearly and substantially restricts freedom of speech.

Fordham has been issued a red light warning specifically for its IT policies. The policy states that the following actions are banned: “using any IT resource or communication services, including email or other means, to intimidate, insult, embarrass and harass others; to interfere unreasonably with an individual’s work, research or educational performance; or to create a hostile or offensive working or learning environment.”

”While it might be nice if people didn’t insult each other, banning insults is a speech restraint incompatible with Fordham’s other promises,” Goldstein said. “Reforming the IT policy alone would have improved Fordham’s ranking substantially.”

The survey used 100 points to rank schools, with 88 of those points coming directly from student responses to the FIRE survey. Only 7% of respondents said that it was extremely clear that the Fordham administration protects free speech, while 13% said it was not clear at all.

“Fordham’s campus is not a place for free speech under the current rules in place about public display and protest.”anonymous sophomore

One junior who was surveyed expressed being unable to express their opinion about the prison-industrial complex in class: “My professor immediately shut me down and made me feel like a bad person in front of the whole class.”

A sophomore surveyed said they were concerned by how Fordham responds to student protests.

“Anytime that I think of wanting to have a protest on campus I think of the severe punishments that the administration has dealt to students in the past,” the student said. “Fordham’s campus is not a place for free speech under the current rules in place about public display and protest.”

“Fordham is free to believe what it chooses, and should be answerable for what it chooses to believe,” Goldstein said. “If Fordham wants to continue onward as an institution that restrains student protest and social media activity, it should remove the free speech promises from its policies and honestly admit that it doesn’t intend to protect free speech.”

Bob Howe, vice president for communications, declined to comment on the ranking.

(Natural News) New York Governor Kathy Hochul (D) ordered thousands of health care workers be fired at midnight on Monday amid a “pandemic” after giving a speech saying Big Pharma’s shots were given to us by “God” and anyone who refuses them is not “listening to God and what God wants.”

(Article by Chris Menahan republished from InformationLiberation.com)

Transcript:

And as far as coming back, we have to get this community back and what we went through this pandemic made us stronger. I believe that, especially when I talk to young people who weren’t able to have their graduations from high school or a normal life for the last 18 months. I say to them whatever comes your way in life you are stronger. You are more resilient. God let you survive this pandemic because he wants you to do great things someday. He let you live through this when so many other people did not and that is also your responsibility. But how do we keep more people alive?

She’s literally firing people en masse who have natural immunity and survived the virus because they don’t want to take Big Pharma’s failing shots.

We are not through this pandemic. I wished we were but I prayed a lot to God during this time and you know what – God did answer our prayers. He made the smartest men and women, the scientists, the doctors, the researchers – he made them come up with a vaccine. That is from God to us and we must say, thank you, God. Thank you. And I wear my ‘vaccinated’ necklace all the time to say I’m vaccinated. All of you, yes, I know you’re vaccinated, you’re the smart ones, but you know there’s people out there who aren’t listening to God and what God wants. You know who they are.

She wears a “vaxed” necklace instead of a cross.

Hochul continued:

I need you to be my apostles. I need you to go out and talk about it and say, we owe this to each other. We love each other. Jesus taught us to love one another and how do you show that love but to care about each other enough to say, please get the vaccine because I love you and I want you to live, I want our kids to be safe when they’re in schools, I want to be safe when you go to a doctor’s office or to a hospital and are treated by somebody, you don’t want to get the virus from them. You’re already sick or you wouldn’t be there. We have to solve this, my friends. I need every one of you. I need you to let them know that this is how we can fight this pandemic, come back to normal and then start talking about the real issues that we have to – fighting systemic racial injustice which exists today and if there is a denier I will take you on every day because I’ve seen it, I know it exists and we’re not going to have a blind eye to this ever again any longer under my watch. That is my commitment to you.

She goes on to suggest the Old Testament is just as valid as the New Testament:

You’re going to see a very diverse administration. You’re going to see people from all walks of life having a shot to make a difference in government because I believe the only purpose of government is to lift people up and to serve.

You’ll have a shot only if you take the shot.

I’ve been a public servant my whole life and I believe there is a strong intersection between the teachings of the New and the Old testaments and what we have been told to do, the lessons we’ve been given, delivered to us in places like this all over America, and if we’re listening to those messages, it’s calling all of us but particularly those who’ve been called to serve as public servants, positions like Governor and Congressmember, Assemblymember, Council Member, all of us have an extra weight of responsibility because as you heard in the earlier songs today and they’re so beautiful and I thank them for lifting my heart and my soul listening to music, one of the messages was, God will keep his promise to you. God will keep his promise to you.

Big Pharma execs like Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla are libtards new God.

Hochul said your religious beliefs don’t count “because the leaders of all the organized religions have said there’s no legitimate reason” not to get vaxxed:

CNBC reported in August that Hochul’s daughter-in-law is a “top lobbyist” at the pharma firm Biogen… which I presume means she has a direct connection to God.

“New York Gov. Kathy Hochul’s daughter-in-law is a top lobbyist at a pharmaceutical firm that has been actively trying to influence state and federal lawmakers,” CNBC reported last month.

“Hochul’s husband, William Hochul, is a former federal prosecutor who works as senior vice president and general counsel at gambling and hospitality giant Delaware North,” CNBC reported. “The Daily Beast noted that Hochul’s administration will have authority over key regulators that have ties to the gambling industry, including the New York State Gaming Commission.”

Gov. Hochul’s God loves gambling, forcing people to take experimental injections from Big Pharma against their will and firing health care workers for following their conscience and firmly-held religious beliefs.

Who is Hochul’s “God,” exactly?

“New York hospitals on Monday began firing or suspending healthcare workers for defying a state order to get the COVID-19 vaccine, and resulting staff shortages prompted some hospitals to postpone elective surgeries or curtail services,” Reuters reported Tuesday morning:

A spokeswoman for Catholic Health, one of the largest healthcare providers in Western New York, said it had reached full compliance, counting staff members who had been vaccinated, those with exemptions and some who had been suspended without pay.

The spokeswoman, JoAnne Cavanaugh, refused to say how many workers had been suspended or granted exemptions due to medical or religious reasons.

Catholic Health said it was forced to postpone “a small number” of elective surgeries.

Erie County Medical Center in Buffalo suspended elective inpatient surgeries and had stopped accepting intensive-care patients from other hospitals as it prepares to fire hundreds of unvaccinated employees, a spokesman Peter Cutler said.

Cutler said the decision to curtail some operations would inconvenience patients and hurt hospital finances. Elective inpatient surgeries bring in about $1 million per week, he said.

“We had to make a decision as to where we could temporarily make some changes so that we could ensure other areas of services are as little affected as possible,” Cutler said. “Financially, it’s a big deal.”

Hochul announced last week that fired health care workers will be replaced with “foreigners,” National Guard and out-of-state medical workers… in accordance with the commandments of her “God.”

Hungarian PM Viktor Orban: Mass migration part of ‘global plan’ to create a ‘new proletariat’

BY CHRISTINE DOUGLASS-WILLIAMS

SEE: https://www.jihadwatch.org/2021/10/hungarian-pm-viktor-orban-warns-mass-migration-part-of-global-plan-to-create-a-new-proletariat;

republished below in full unedited for informational, educational & research purposes:

Hungary, which has a Christian constitution, has been unwavering in defending its culture and rule of law, and protecting its citizens from Islamization. In its preamble, the Hungarian constitution declares its Christianity and its role in preserving nationhood. It also honors its “forebears who fought for the survival, freedom and independence” of Hungary.

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban has been vocal about his country’s determination to reject open-door immigration in order to preserve Hungarian culture. He has put a stop to illegal Muslim migrants trying to storm in, by building a wall. The EU has condemned Orban for his stance as he continues to expose the goals of globalists.

Responsible immigration while upholding the rule of law and national security should be a priority for every nation. Instead, these important attributes of any leader have been virtually abandoned by “progressive” globalists and weak so-called conservative leaders (such as Boris Johnson).

Ahead of European Parliament elections in 2019, Orban stated in a speech:

“We wish for the veil to fall from the eyes of the people of Europe, so they can see and understand that without Christian culture there will be no free life in Europe,” said Orban, who sees Muslim immigrants as threats to Europe’s lifestyle. “Without defending our Christian culture, we will lose Europe and Europe will no longer belong to Europeans.”

“Orban: Mass Migration Agenda Part of ‘Global Plan’ to Create ‘New Proletariat’ in the West,” by Jack Montgomery, Breitbart, September 24, 2021:

Hungary’s Prime Minister Viktor Orbán believes the mass migration agenda is part of a “global plan” to create a “new proletariat” in the West, advanced by people who care nothing for culture and national identity and consider only economics.

Speaking at the 4th Budapest Demographic Conference, organised as a forum where pro-family policies and other measures to reverse population decline without resorting to mass immigration, Orbán addressed attendees including former U.S. Vice President Mike Pence, the President of Serbia, the Serbian President of Bosnia, and the prime ministers of Slovakia and Slovenia, noting that the cause of national conservatism had “suffered sensitive political losses” in recent years.

“President Trump was not able to continue his work” in the United States after January 2021, he lamented, while former Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu is now in opposition — “and God knows what will happen in Germany this Sunday” when Angela Merkel’s notionally centre-right party may be displaced by a left-wing government possibly including the communist Marxist Left Party in national elections.

“Like those before me, we are concerned about the advent of the New Marxist, New Leftist ‘woke’ movement, as it is called in America. We can see that already in kindergartens they want to miseducate our children; they use children as Pride activists, they are telling children about the ‘free choice of genre — this is part of the New Marxist ‘woke’ programme,” he warned.

Decades of Soviet communist domination, however, has “inoculated” former Eastern Bloc countries such as Hungary and Poland against “the ‘woke’ virus”, in his view — “our history is protecting us against the cultural left.”

As a result, the Hungarian leader suggested, his government and likeminded administrations in the region can see the divide on demographics more clearly.

“Is it a problem that the population is in decline?” he asked.

“The West… just does not want to maintain itself. Let’s not beat around the bush: certain civilisations are able to reproduce; the Western civilisation is not able to reproduce — so much so that they are unable to decide whether this is a problem at all.

“Some are of the opinion that this is not a problem, and they argue that by increasing productivity and by developing technology fewer people will be able to generate more goods, more public good. Mechanised production, artificial intelligence, an automated economy — human labour doesn’t count anymore. That is the technocratic, Silicon Valley solution,” he explained.

“And there are others who sense the problem of declining demographics and they want migration. They believe alien peoples from distant lands should be moved in and that will stop the demographic decline. But mass migration… the millions of people who have been lured here, are basically a global plan of moving in the new proletariat,” he accused, adding that the promoters of this worldview “do not take into account the cultural aspect of democracy.”…..

MIKE GENDRON, EX-CATHOLIC: Remembering the Reformation

Remembering the Reformation

FROM PROCLAIMINGTHEGOSPEL.ORG

republished below in full unedited for informational, educational & research purposes:

This month we celebrate the 504th anniversary of the historic Reformation and all it accomplished! Our sovereign Lord began setting many captives free from the bondage of religious deception with the truth of His Word. It was the Word of God preached by men of God, empowered by the Spirit of God, that produced children of God, all for the glory of God.
Why Was the Reformation Necessary?
As the Reformers were abiding in God's Word, they realized the Roman Catholic Church was under divine condemnation for preaching a distorted Gospel (Galatians 1:6-9). Catholicism was (and still is) distorting God's Gospel of grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. They distorted the Gospel by adding requirements for salvation including sacramentsgood workskeeping the lawpurgatory and indulgences. This corruption of the Gospel continues to lead Catholics down the wide road to destruction (Mat. 7:13). As God opened the eyes of the Reformers to see the light of the Gospel and the glory of Christ, they began proclaiming it and calling Catholics to repentance.
Rome's corruption of the Gospel included using its heretical priesthood to continue on an altar Christ's finished work of redemption on a cross. This was an outright rejection of the Lord's victory cry on the cross, "It is finished" (John 19:30). The Reformers knew from Scripture that Jesus died once, for all sin, for all time and there are no more offerings for sin (Hebrews 10:12, 14, 18). Since the altar was no longer needed, the Reformers replaced it with a pulpit and the Word of God became the central focus of worship.
The Reformation was also necessary because the Catholic Church had drifted into outright apostasy. It had departed from the faith of the apostles to follow doctrines of demons that included forbidding marriage to its clergy (1 Tim. 4:1-3). Catholicism also embraced the first lie of Satan in the garden when the serpent said to Eve, "You surely will not die" if you break God's command. This demonic doctrine continues with the Catholic teaching of "venial" sins, which declares such sins do not cause death, only temporal punishment in purgatory. Catholics need to know that all sins are mortal and the punishment is death (Rom. 6:23). The Catholic Church's apostasy was officially and dogmatically documented at the Council of Trent, with over 100 anathemas that condemn Christians.
What Did the Reformation Accomplish?
The Reformers reestablished the Word of God as the supreme authority for faith. They used the words Sola Scriptura (Scripture Alone) to declare the Bible is sufficient and the ultimate authority over popes, traditions, and church councils (2 Tim. 3:15-16). As the inspired Word of God, Scripture must be used to test and correct all other authorities.
The Reformers also reestablished the Lord Jesus Christ as the only Head of His Church, which He purchased with His own blood (Eph. 1:22, Acts 20:28). The Reformers rejected the pope as the head of the church. In fact, Martin Luther declared, “We are of the conviction that the papacy is the seat of the true and real Antichrist. I declare that I owe the pope no other obedience than that of Antichrist."
The Reformers also made the Bible available to the people in their own language. They soon discovered they could be pulsaved by reading the Bible unaided by priests and sacraments. The truth was setting them free from religious bondage. This caused the pope to put a stop to this mass exodus by once again putting the Bible on their list of forbidden books
Another accomplishment was the recovery of the most important doctrine of justification, which answers the most important question, "How can a sinner become right with God?" You can hear how many ways the Catholic Church had distorted the biblical teaching of justification here at the eighteen minute mark.
How Can We Remember the Reformation?
As we remember the Reformation this year, let us also remember the 1.3 billion Catholics who are perishing with a misplaced faith. We need to encourage them to do what the apostle Paul did for his salvation (Phil 3:3-9). They need to exchange their apostate religion for a saving relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ alone. Please know that we have many resources to help you evangelize those who are perishing.
Catholic Tradition Is Opposed to the Bible
Our most popular Gospel tract for evangelizing Roman Catholics is now in 5 different languages with over 3 million in circulation. As Catholics read through this 16-panel fold-out, they are forced to make a decision. Will they trust Christ and His Word or continue to trust the teachings and traditions of their religion? They will see that it is impossible to believe both because the statements from their Catechism and their New American Standard Bible stand opposed to one another on the doctrines of Jesus and salvation. The Gospel tract also features the two paths to eternity as seen below. Order the tract here.

Two Globalists Seeking Control
Pope Francis and Joe Biden continue to carry out the globalist agenda to create a one-world religion and one-world government. Their ultimate goal is complete control of the masses through the Great Reset and a digital health and economic identification system. The Vatican now requires a Covid Passport, proving the holder has been vaccinated in order to enter the city state. Meanwhile Joe Biden, speaking as a self-appointed dictator, said, "My message to unvaccinated Americans is this: We’ve been patient, but our patience is wearing thin. And your refusal has cost all of us."
Steve Matthews wrote: "With his words, this treasonous liar managed, in very short order, to declare war, not just on unvaccinated Americans, but to all the constitutionally guaranteed liberties of all Americans. Biden’s arrogant and threatening words are among the most disturbing, unconstitutional, and unchristian utterances made by any American politician ever. It’s that serious." Read more.

Biden Administration Bars Flight Carrying Americans From Kabul From Entering U.S.

“Project Dynamo” has flown hundreds of Americans out of Afghanistan since the non-government-sanctioned airlift began after the Biden administration’s incompetence left thousands of Americans and tens of thousands of Afghan allies stranded in Afghanistan at the end of August.

Tuesday’s flight with more than 100 citizens and green card holders, as well as 56 children, was supposed to be routine for the civilian organization. Project Dynamo and the Human First Coalition had gotten the necessary clearances from the state department and the passengers had all been screened and vaxxed.

After the plane took off from Kabul, the groups issued a press release thanking the “U.S. State Department and the United Arab Emirates’ Ministry of Foreign Affairs for their cooperation in challenging circumstances to secure the safe return of these U.S. citizens, U.S. Legal Permanent Residents, and Afghan allies.”

But some pencil-necked bureaucrat decided to throw his weight around and keep the citizens, green card holders, and special immigrant visa (SIV) holders from entering the U.S. This, after giving the flight permission to land twice.

Initially, according to reports, the flight was cleared to land in New York City but the destination was later changed to Dulles International Airport near Washington, D.C., before being disallowed altogether.

BizPac Review:

Bryan Stern, himself a veteran and the organizer of the evacuation flight, said that the flight took off from the international airport in Kabul but then was held on the tarmac in Abu Dhabi for roughly 14 hours with 117 people on board, including 59 children.

“Right now we have 59 children sleeping on airport chairs and cold airport floors – not the warm bed with a hot meal that we’d arranged for all of them stateside – because the US Government denied our flight clearance into ALL US ports of entry,” said Project Dynamo, which is in charge of the evacuation flight, according to a post on the organization’s Instagram page.

“They escaped the regime they were running from only to have the government they were running HOME TO, turn them away. This cannot be what America does to Americans,” the post adds.

Obviously, Mr. Stern underestimates the desire of the Biden administration to maintain total control of the evacuation — even at the expense of making 56 children suffer the indignities of being forced to spend the night sleeping at an airport.

In a Reuters interview, Stern said the initial plan was to transfer all of the passengers to an Ethiopian Airlines flight charted to fly into JFK International in New york. But U.S. Customs and Border Protection then switched clearance to Dulles before barring the flight altogether.

Reuters said that a Biden administration official claimed the reason for the delay is that it takes time to confirm manifests of charter flights before they are permitted to land in the U.S., but that seems arbitrary given that DHS had cleared the flight to land twice before banning it altogether. What’s more, the flight is filled with American citizens as well as Afghans who have already been cleared to the point of being given green cards and SIVs.

The problem is entirely the making of the bureaucracy. Someone at CPB suddenly woke up and realized, “Hey! We’re in charge of vetting these people before they come into the U.S., and nobody told us they were coming.” The agency promptly placed a hold on the flight despite DHS approving it and the passengers already having been vetted to receive SIVs and green cards.

It shouldn’t be this hard. But it is.

NY Gov. Hochul: Unvaccinated People ‘Aren’t Listening to God’

New York Gov. Kathy Hochul asked members of a Brooklyn church to "be my apostles" to promote New York's vaccine mandate agenda as unvaccinated individuals "aren’t listening to God and what God wants."

The Democrat governor spoke Sunday at the Christian Cultural Center, an evangelical megachurch, The Western Journal reported.

The state's first female governor, who took office after former Gov. Andrew Cuomo resigned in disgrace amid sexual harassment allegations, said God had answered prayers about the pandemic.

"He made the smartest men and women, the scientists, the doctors, the researchers — he made them come up with a vaccine," Hochul told the congregation. "That is from God to us, and we must say, 'Thank you, God.'"

Hochul addressed church members the day before New York's vaccine mandate for health care workers went into effect.

"I need you to be my apostles," Hochul told members both present and online. "Jesus taught us to love one another. And how do you show that love but to care about each other enough to say, 'Please get the vaccine because I love you and I want you to live.'"

The governor concluded her remarks by promising to "use the inspiration of God in my life and fight for you every single day as your governor and beyond" without quoting a single verse of Scripture, the Journal said.

Cuomo on Aug. 16 announced that all healthcare workers in the state needed to receive their first dose of COVID-19 vaccine by Sept. 27 or risk termination. There were "limited exceptions for those with religious or medical reasons."

New York’s Public Health and Health Planning Council approved an emergency regulation on Aug. 26 — two days after Hochul became governor — that completely removed the religious exemption but left the medical exemption in place.

A group of anonymous healthcare workers filed a lawsuit on Sept. 13 against the state, arguing that their constitutional rights were violated when New York issued a vaccination mandate with "no exemption for sincere religious beliefs."

The lawsuit said the 17 plaintiffs conscientiously objected to the COVID-19 vaccine on religious grounds because "they all employ fetal cell lines derived from procured abortion in testing, development or production of the vaccines."

A U.S. District Court for the Northern District of New York then temporarily blocked the mandate for those seeking religious exemption. The New York Post reported a judge on Oct. 12 will decide "whether to make the preliminary injunction more permanent."

Hochul, a pro-abortion advocate from "a big Irish Catholic family," told The Associated Press that she's "not aware of any major religious group" that prohibits its followers from getting the vaccine

"Everyone from the pope on down is encouraging people to get vaccinated," she said.

Biden Administration Blocks Rescue of Persecuted Christians from Afghanistan Just as the Obama administration did to the Christians of Syria.

Raymond Ibrahim is a Shillman Fellow at the David Horowitz Freedom Center.

The Biden administration is preventing the rescue of persecuted Christian minorities from the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, where they face certain and likely gruesome death.

This information surfaced on August 26, 2021, during an interview between Glenn Beck and Tucker Carlson on Fox News.  Through his charity, the Nazarene Fund, Beck had managed to charter planes to airlift 5,100 Christians out of Afghanistan and into neighboring nations.  Before long, however, U.S. officials intervened and prevented the escape of a batch of 500 Christians, mostly women and children, who were ordered outside of the airport’s protection zone:  “I have pictures of them pleading to get back through the gate,” Beck continued:

And then I have pictures of blood and body parts and nothing but death in that same area [where they were confined].  We believe that our State Department is directly responsible…  I don’t know how many [of these 500 Christians] survived.  The State Department has blocked us every step of the way.  The State Department and the White House have been the biggest problem.  Everyone else, everyone else, has been working together, putting aside differences and trying to get these people to safety.  The State Department and the White House have blocked us every single step of the way.  In fact, an ambassador was called in Macedonia last night and told not to accept any of these people, as we were trying to get them off of the tarmac here, to keep the airport flowing, and getting these Christians out. We haven’t really been able to move anybody for about 12 hours.  Our mission is now changing greatly.  We have to send people into even greater danger to try to smuggle these Christians out, who are marked not just for death, but to be set on fire alive because they’re converted Christians.

Beck, it should be noted, is not exaggerating.  According to one recent report, “Taliban militants are even pulling people off public transport and killing them on the spot if they're Christians.”  Similarly, any Afghan caught with a Bible app on their phone is executed.  “How we survive daily only God knows,” a Christian Afghani said earlier this year on condition of anonymity.  “But we are tired of all the death around us.”

According to the World Watch List, which ranks the 50 nations where Christians are most persecuted for their faith, Afghanistan is the worst Muslim nation in the world in which to be Christian. This is saying much, considering that nearly 80 percent of all persecution Christians experience around the globe is committed by Muslims and/or in the Islamic world. Afghanistan is, moreover, considered the second-worst nation in the entire world, just after North Korea:

It is impossible to live openly as a Christian in Afghanistan. Leaving Islam is considered shameful, and Christian converts face dire consequences if their new faith is discovered. Either they have to flee the country or they will be killed…. Afghanistan remains the second highest country on the World Watch List, and persecution is only very slightly less oppressive than in North Korea. The Islamic State group and the Taliban continue to have a strong, violent presence in Afghanistan, with the Taliban controlling large regions…. All Christians in Afghanistan are extremely vulnerable to persecution. Areas controlled by the Taliban are particularly oppressive, but there is no safe way to express any form of Christian faith in the country.

The above excerpt was published nine months ago—when a U.S.-supported government ran Afghanistan.  Since then, matters have only significantly worsened for Christians, now that the Taliban—whose views and modus operandi is similar to ISIS—has become the official master of Afghanistan.

Ironically, while Afghanistan was always bad for Christians, it became significantly worse in direct response to U.S. intervention Because in many non-Christian majority countries, Christians tend to be conflated with the West in general, and America in particular—based on the popular but erroneous belief in the Muslim world that the West and America are Christian—Afghan Christians were especially targeted after the 2001 U.S. invasion as a form of “collective punishment.”

Indeed, even Christians in neighboring Pakistan got attacked; according a 2011 report:

Life on any given day for Pakistani Christians is difficult. But members of Pakistan’s Christian community say now they’re being persecuted for U.S. drone attacks on Islamic militants hiding on the border with Afghanistan. The minority, which accounts for an estimated one percent of the country’s 170 million [mostly Muslim] population, says because its faith is strongly associated with America, it is targeted by Muslims.

“When America does a drone strike, they come and blame us,” explained one Christian. “They think we belong to America. It’s a simple mentality.”

On the other hand, because U.S. and Western leadership are very careful not to show interest in Christian minorities—a sentiment that goes hand in hand with Western acquiescence to Islamic sensibilities—they are more prone to turn a blind eye to the persecution of Christians than even some Muslim governments.

Worst of all, not only has the U.S. exacerbated and then totally ignored the plight of Christians in Afghanistan, it is now going out of its way to prevent others, as noted by Beck, from helping to evacuate Christians to other nations willing to accept them.

Beck, it should be noted, is not alone in his accusation: “I’ve heard similar reports,” said Senator Tom Cotton:

I know that our people on the ground inside the airport, both the Department of Defense and intelligence agents and our State Department officials are trying to move heaven and Earth to get people into the airport and out of the country, but the senior leadership at the State Department is a different kettle of fish.

At one point in his interview with Carlson, Beck mentioned two nations that were being cooperative in helping him rescue Christians—though he was anxious to add, “I don’t even want to say who they are, because I’m afraid our State Department will call them and threaten them!”

“I don't know why we have open borders and closed airports,” Beck concluded his interview. While it is easy for all sorts of illegals to cross over the porous US/Mexico border, “one group of people”— he said referring to persecuted Christians—is not even allowed to enter airports, and are abandoned to be “raped, exploited and crucified or set on fire by terrorists,” said Beck, before adding, “There seems to be a pattern with the Biden administration.”

In fact, this is a pattern begun by the Obama administration. Biden—who it bears recalling was for eight years Obama’s vice president—is merely continuing it.  Under Barack Hussein Obama’s presidency, the White House and State Department engaged in all sorts discriminatory measures against Christians, particularly during the refugee crisis that occurred during the rise of ISIS under Obama’s watch.

The Obama administration's discrimination against Christians was so obvious, in fact, that in late 2016, a federal appellate court filed a lawsuit against the Department of Homeland Security, in which Judge Daniel expressed his “concern about the apparent lack of Syrian Christians as a part of immigrants from that country”:

Perhaps 10 percent of the population of Syria is Christian, and yet less than one-half of one percent of Syrian refugees admitted to the United States this year are Christian.... To date, there has not been a good explanation for this perplexing discrepancy.

The numbers were even more perplexing when examined in full context. Although the U.S. government had acknowledged that ISIS was committing genocide against Christians in Syria due solely to their religious identity, it brought into the United States only those who by definition were not in any way being targeted by ISIS — Sunni Muslims, of whom ISIS, a Sunni organization, identifies with and does not attack. Despite these two all-important facts — and despite the fact that Sunnis were about 75% of Syria's population, and Christians about 10% — 99% of those brought to America were Sunni Muslims and under 0.5% were Christian.  As CNS news noted in 2016, “Record 499 Syrian Refugees Admitted to US So Far in May Includes No Christians.”

In other words, even if one were to operate under the assumption that refugee status should have been made available to all Syrians, regardless of who was and was not being persecuted, there should have been 20 times more Christians and about one-quarter fewer Sunnis granted refugee status under Obama.

This, of course, leads to another pattern established by Obama and continued by Biden: while preventing true victims of Islamic terror from escape or entry into the US, the Biden administration is granting refugee status to countless, un-vetted male Muslims from Afghanistan—not a few of whom share in the same worldview as ISIS and the Taliban.

Is It Time for the American Church to Grow Up?

Christmas is just around the corner. I know this because Halloween is a month off and around these parts, the Christmas decorations go up after the last trick-or-treater has gone home for the night. The arrival of the season (which wouldn’t surprise me if it starts this Tuesday) will come with the usual protests. Articles will be written about the War on Christmas. Facebook posts will go up about keeping Christ in Christmas, and spleens will be vented over changing school Christmas pageants to “Holiday Pageants.” And yes, we should keep Christ in Christmas. I’m not here to argue that. However, I am here to argue that perhaps for too long, American Christians have been taking their faith for granted.

It probably went under your radar, but the administration of the Putnam County School District in Tennessee announced that teachers and coaches were prohibited from leading their students and teams in prayer. This came on the heels of a letter from the Americans United for Separation of Church and State alleging “prayer and proselytizing” in the schools. This has been going on for years. An atheist group takes issue with something, threatens the school district, which caves to avoid a lawsuit.

In response, following a recent football game between Upperman and Stone Memorial high schools, the players led everyone in prayer. One person wrote on Facebook, “Satan’s power was defeated tonight, as the threat of a legal action to forbid prayer after the game was overwhelmed by player-led prayer supported by parents and fans in solidarity on Overall Field. God bless the Baxter and Stone players for their faith and courage.” While the incident makes for a good news story, I’m not sure that it constitutes a victory over Satan.

Chances are, especially in light of the church-state COVID clashes in the U.S. and in particular Canada, things like this will become more commonplace.  And perhaps, American Christians could use a little tempering with fire.

I used to volunteer for a non-profit that supported persecuted Christians. As part of my volunteer duties, I would visit churches and deliver presentations about persecution and hand out information. The idea was to raise awareness about the problem among U.S. Christians who are often blissfully or even willfully unaware of it. At one church, my presentation replaced the Sunday sermon. The service opened with the usual 30-minute worship concert of current and recurrent CCM songs. The young woman in front of me jumped up as soon as the music started and contorted herself into what I guess was a posture of praise: bent sideways at the waist, head cocked the other way, and one hand thrust into the air. Much to my amazement, she managed to stay that way for the entire time. When it was my turn to speak, she glared at me like I was offering adult magazines and bong hits. To be fair, while most of the congregation remained stoic, they did clean me out of my literature and several signed up as volunteers. But the young lady disappeared as soon as church was over after giving me one last withering look. Perhaps I ruined what she expected to be another good day at church. At another church, people cried copiously during my presentation but blew me off after the service to eat a donut and have a cup of coffee. Or make a break for the local breakfast buffet.

I have often encountered a nervous avoidance among Christians when it comes to the subject of persecution. I suppose that may be because stories of persecution are at odds with the moral-therapeutic deism that has replaced theology in so many places. The idea runs counter that the notion of a “good, good father” who has a plan for your life. It isn’t the easy Christianity of “doing life together,” “boyfriend Jesus,” and the latest hits from your local Christian radio station. It isn’t a sermon that could just as easily be a motivational speech for an MLM.

But as it turns out, Christians in other parts of the world carry actual burdens. Serious ones.

While I was a volunteer I made the acquaintance of Sarah Liu, a Chinese Christian who was the editor of an underground newspaper. She was arrested one night in her pajamas, which was not unusual for her. But this time, they took her to a secret location. They tied her to a chair and whipped her feet with a hanger and put cigarettes out on her skin. Shackled to a post in a warehouse, she was made to walk in a circle all night. In the morning she realized that she had circled the post so many times that she was walking in a trail of her own blood. She was imprisoned and forced to make Christmas lights to sell in America. Think about that when you are decorating this year. Sarah remains one of the gentlest, sweetest souls and one of the most committed believers I have ever met.

Or consider the 21 Coptic Christians beheaded by ISIS on the beach in 2015 for refusing to renounce their faith. One particularly odious discernment blogger said that as members of the Coptic Church, they were not actually Christian. Well, let’s see: They were given the option of denying Christ or having their heads cut off. They chose to die. They sound like committed Christians to me, despite them not adhering to the blogger’s preferred version of faith. How many of us would offer our necks if given a similar choice?

I could keep you here all day with stories of Christians who have been shot, scalped, burned alive, sold into slavery, and mutilated in persecuting countries. Or even shoved into ovens to be cooked alive. In some countries, people are not even considered mature Christians until they have been arrested at least once.

When James and John asked Jesus if they could sit at his right and left in the coming kingdom, Jesus said, “You don’t know what you are asking. Can you drink the cup I drink or be baptized with the baptism I am baptized with?” The members of the persecuted church are drinking deep.

Are we in the USA guilty of idolatry? In the contemporary church, people equate idolatry with putting other things before God like video games, NASCAR, a home business, or a favorite sports team. But as it was originally understood in the Ancient Near East, idolatry was the practice of creating a physical idol and coaxing the god of your choice to literally come down and live in it. The god would then be pampered with the expectation that the worshipper’s needs and demands would be met. Have we tried to make God in our own image? Have we created a system that we expect God to inhabit with the expectation of Him serving us, rather than us serving him? Have we made an idol out of church?

Beyond the name-it-and-claim-it prosperity gospel heresy, one wonders what is becoming of the church. Have worship and sacrifice been replaced with vision-casting and worship teams? Is the sacred space nothing more than a concert venue? Has the biblical instruction of our children been usurped by pizza and games? And what place have we made for God in all of this?

I suspect that the American Church has made itself into an idol that it expects God to inhabit. Back when I was going to seminary online, I was deep into the Christian lifestyle and was listening to a famous national Christian radio network. During a pledge drive, a woman called in and gushed about how the radio station had changed her husband’s life and that now he was saved because of the jocks and their playlist. Apparently, Jesus had nothing to do with that. A church I used to attend now tosses beachballs into the congregation and sings Disney and country music songs in an effort to be attractional and get the numbers. This, as the big-business church model, is burning down. Even as empires like Hillsong are starting to crack.

Perhaps American Christians have come to see faith as a moneymaker in some cases. I used to work in a Christian bookstore and we sold boxed Bible studies by a very famous Christian celebrity. The cost for one of her Bible studies was $199 at the time. You got a box with a leader’s guide, a participant guide, and a DVD. It probably cost around $10 to make. $199 to learn more about a man who was happy to share his wisdom for free.

For others, it may be convenient. A place where people can feel warm and fuzzy, and cuddle with a God who will give them everything they ask for. A place where they can talk about their beards or tattoos and be secure in their salvation and the superiority of their biblical knowledge and doctrine. American Christians have never been made to even count the cost, let alone pay it. Ask for a Dietrich Bonhoeffer and you may well find a money changer. As Sarah Liu once said in a speech, “Everyone wants Jesus, but no one wants the cross.”

The time may be coming for the church in America to grow up.

CVS Tells Employees They’re Privilege Racists Who Need To Shut Up

CVS Tells Employees They’re Privileged Racists Who Need to Shut Up

BY R. CORT KIRKWOOD

republished below in full unedited for informational, educational & research purposes:

Little did CVS’s customers know until this week that each time they paid for a prescription at the pharmacy, they also paid for hourly employees to get a dose of Critical Race Theory.

The latest on corporate America’s surrender to leftist propaganda, from City Journal’s Chris Rufo, said the gargantuan of drug-store chains inoculated employees with “antiracist” training to “deconstruct their ‘privilege.’”

Among the privileges CVS seeks to deconstruct are celebrating Christmas and having easy-to-pronounce names. Indeed, employees aren’t just “privileged.” They are racist, and trained to be so since birth, and therefore must learn to speak differently.

Yet the lesson in Rufo report goes beyond just revealing another outrage. It shows just how deeply leftist ideology has penetrated the boardrooms of major corporations. Average Americans buy their products, only to learn that corporate executives think their underpaid employees are privileged racists.

“Soaked” In Racism

Of course, the company turned to anti-white CRT peddler Ibram Kendi, “who told 25,000 CVS employees that ‘to be born in [the United States] is to literally have racist ideas rain on our head consistently and constantly,’” Rufo reported:

Kendi argued that Americans are “walking through society completely soaked in racist ideas,” including children as young as two to three years old. “Our kids are basically functioning on racist ideas, choosing who to play with based on the kid’s skin color,” Kendi said. The solution, in part, is to “diagnose” employees as “racist” in order to help them become “antiracist” and “stop hurting somebody else.”

But the hate program didn’t stop there.

It also included material on “intersectionality” with which employees are ordered “to deconstruct their racial and sexual identities, then rank themselves according to their ‘privilege.’”

“The training asked CVS employees to circle their identities — including race, gender, sexuality, and religion — and then reflect on their “privilege” during the discussion,” Rufo divulged:

Examples of privilege, according to a checklist, included “celebrat[ing] Christmas,” “hav[ing] a name that is easy to pronounce,” “feel[ing] safe in your neighborhood at night,” and “feel[ing] confident in my leadership style.”

Employees also had to learn not to use “‘problematic phrases,’ including ‘I’m colorblind,’ ‘I grew up poor,’ ‘peanut gallery,’ ‘I’m not racist,’ and ‘we must stand up for minorities’” because all those statements are racist in and of themselves and “could be seen as discrediting the experiences of Black people and their culture.”

Plutocrat Merlo

Even worse than the program might be the person who foisted on the captive workers.

The recently retired Merlo, Rufo observed, is another of the corporate plutocrats who calls hourly schlubs “privileged” as he rakes in tens of millions of dollars in salaries and benefits. He earned 618 times what the average CVS worker earned.

He “was called ‘the most obscenely overpaid CEO in America,’” Rufo wrote. Total annual compensation: $22 million. The average CVS employee earned $35,529.

Understandably, employees aren’t all that happy with the hate-whitey program. “I have worked at CVS a long time, and we have never had a problem with discrimination or division,” one told Rufo. “Quite the opposite: people of diverse backgrounds always have pulled together to solve complex problems.”

Though Merlo is gone, the company’s corporate bureaucrats are still forcing the toxic snake oil down the throats of employees. Those who object will face ““swift action against non-inclusive behaviors.”

Other Woke Companies

CVS’s employees are just the latest alienated workers who have turned to Rufo with insider documents.

Google tells its already-woke workforce that the United States is based upon a “system of white supremacy” and that Americans are “raised to be racist.” Google too sought Kendi’s anti-white opinions, which include that one is a racist, he says, is racist itself.

Raytheon, the defense contractor, has spread Kendi’s poison to its employees. They received detailed instructions on “What Not To Say to Your Black Colleagues Right Now.”

Raytheon even created “resource groups” to segregate employees. The collectives include “RayPride” for homosexuals, RayBen, the black employees' network, and other fringe groups for Asian, Hispanics, Indians, and women.

Whites, men, and Christians enjoy no such privilege at the company.

As America Has Become More Secular, It Has Become Less Free~Why freedom in America is threatened as never before.

BY DENNIS PRAGER

republished below in full unedited for informational, educational & research purposes:

Here is something any honest person must acknowledge: As America has become more secular, it has become less free.

Individuals can differ as to whether these two facts are correlated, but no honest person can deny they are facts.

It seems to me indisputable that they are correlated. To deny this, one would have to argue that it is merely coincidental that free speech, the greatest of all freedoms, is more seriously threatened than at any time in American history while a smaller-than-ever percentage of Americans believe in God or regularly attend church.

The United States became the freest country in the world, the sweet land of liberty, the recipient of the Statue of Liberty, the country whose flag freedom fighters around the world have often waved. This freedom was rooted in the deeply religious nature of its founding ideals. America was founded by God-centered individuals to be a God-centered country. The claims that America's founders were mostly deists and that America was founded to be a godless secular society are not true.

Some of the Founders were not orthodox Christians, i.e., they did not believe in the Christian Trinity or in the divinity of Christ. But none of them were deists (with the possible exception of Jefferson). Deists believed in a creator God who was not only uninvolved with his creations, but he also did not even know them, let alone care about them. After creating the world, the deists' God abandoned it. The deists' God was Aristotle's "unmoved mover."

Every major Founder (again, with the possible exception of Jefferson) believed in the God of the Bible who heard prayer, acted in history, judged people in the hereafter, demanded ethical behavior, and without Whom morality did not objectively exist. Most importantly, they all believed that in order for a functioning democratic republic not to descend into tyranny, it was necessary to link freedom with God.

Whatever Jefferson's view of God was, he was as influenced by the Bible as every other Founder. He and Benjamin Franklin proposed that the great seal of the United States depict Moses leading the Jews out of Egypt: Moses raising his rod to divide the sea; Pharaoh, in his chariot, overwhelmed by the waters; and the divine pillar of fire that led the Israelites by night. The seal's proposed motto: "Rebellion to tyrants is obedience to God." Jefferson and Franklin believed that freedom and obedience to God were synonymous. No God, no freedom.

The Founders linked freedom inextricably to God. That is why the inscription on the Liberty Bell is from the Bible: "Proclaim Liberty Throughout All the Land Unto All the Inhabitants thereof." The verse comes from Leviticus, the third book of the Bible. The Founders knew their Bible. The present adult generation of Americans is more ignorant of the Bible than any in American history. And most young people know even less. I suspect that most students at Harvard could not identify Leviticus, let alone cite any of its verses.

The bell was named "the Liberty Bell" by the abolitionists. Their opposition to slavery was based entirely on the Bible. Their motivating principle, "All men are created equal," came from the Bible. They did not get it from the ancient Greeks, who would have scoffed at such a notion.

Freedom permeates the Old Testament: The Bible begins with the story of Adam and Eve, a story about man's assertion of his God-given freedom ... freedom even to disobey God. The primary story of the Old Testament is the Exodus, a story about God liberating slaves.

For the Founders, the most obvious reason freedom was dependent on faith in God was that only if God is regarded as the source of freedom could men not rightfully take it away. If men are the source of freedom, men can rightfully retract it. This is precisely what is happening today. Freedom is being destroyed primarily by those who scorn the idea that freedom comes from God.

The rule that the end of religion means the end of freedom does not mean that secularism would not be a welcome replacement for totalitarian theocracies such as Iran. But eventually that, too — a secular Iran — would lead to tyranny. Wherever God is delinked from freedom, freedom ultimately withers. When Christianity died in Europe, it was replaced by fascism, Nazism, and communism.

Freedom is central to the Bible. This is especially apparent in America, which until now has linked its unparalleled commitment to freedom to God and the Bible. But freedom is peripheral to leftism. That is why freedom in America is threatened as never before: The foundations upon which freedom rests — God, the Bible, Judeo-Christian values — are threatened as never before.

Every American coin bears two inscriptions: "In God We Trust" and "Liberty." Every generation of Americans prior to the 1960s understood why. Most Americans today, including secular conservatives, do not.

Commentary: Has Beth Moore Inadvertently Become a Proponent of Critical Race Theory (CRT)?

The CRT lie is that every white person is inherently racist (whether they know it or not) [and in] a “perpetual state of guilt and apology to people of color. . . . It doesn’t matter if they never felt or acted as if they were superior to others because they were white; they are white, and therefore, according to CRT, they are racist.”

Beth Moore Background

Beth Moore has been moving away from the Bible for a while now. Lighthouse Trails has documented over the years her becoming a proponent of contemplative prayer, “emergent” doctrine, and ecumenism (most notably with Roman Catholicism).

Beth Moore publicly announced on March 9, 2021 that she was “no longer a Southern Baptist”

See link: https://religionnews.com/2021/03/09/bible-teacher-beth-moore-ends-partnership-with-lifeway-i-am-no-longer-a-southern-baptist/?gclid=EAIaIQobChMInIm4-fSL8gIVwj2tBh0Sewj5EAAYASAAEgLqNvD_BwE

Recently, on Twitter (July 21, 2021), she decided to vent her frustrations, specifically aimed at the fact 6 Southern Baptist Seminary Presidents had signed a statement in Nov. 2020, declaring that Critical Race Theory (CRT) was “incompatible with the Baptist Faith & Message”.

This Nov. 2020 statement was a shift from the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC) 2019 statement calling CRT “insufficient to diagnose and redress the root causes” of societal ills, but could be used as an “analytical tool to aid.” Perhaps her criticism of the SBC has escalated, after the more recent June 2021 SBC Convention, where the SBC shifted very clearly toward non-support of CRT.

—————————————————————————————————————————
BACKGROUND OF SBC’s (Southern Baptist Convention) shifting statements regarding CRT
I thought it would be helpful to give you a background of SBC’s statements the last 3 years regarding CRT.

1) 2019 Statement:

In June 2019, the SBC affirmed the following regarding CRT:
WHEREAS, Critical race theory and intersectionality alone are insufficient [emphasis mine] to diagnose and redress the root causes of the social ills that they identify, which result from sin, yet these analytical tools can aid [emphasis mine] in evaluating a variety of human experiences;

2) No 2020 Statement:

No SBC Meeting June 2020 (b/c of COVID-19)

3) 2021 Statement:

In June 2021, the SBC affirmed the following regarding “race and racial reconciliation” in the passing of Resolution #2:

RESOLVED, That the messengers to the Southern Baptist Convention meeting in Nashville, Tennessee, June 15–16, 2021, affirm the sufficiency of Scripture on race and racial reconciliation; and be it further

RESOLVED, That we reaffirm our agreement with historic, biblically-faithful Southern Baptist condemnations of racism in all forms; and be it further

RESOLVED, That we reject any theory or worldview that finds the ultimate identity of human beings in ethnicity or in any other group dynamic [emphasis mine]; and be it further

RESOLVED, That we reject any theory or worldview that sees the primary problem of humanity as anything other than sin against God and the ultimate solution as anything other than redemption found only in Christ; and be it further

RESOLVED, We, therefore, reject any theory or worldview that denies that racism, oppression, or discrimination is rooted, ultimately, in anything other than sin; and be it further

RESOLVED, That, understanding we live in a fallen world, we reaffirm the 1995 Resolution On Racial Reconciliation On The 150th Anniversary Of The Southern Baptist Convention, which includes, “That we apologize to all African-Americans for condoning and/or perpetuating individual and systemic racism in our lifetime; and we genuinely repent of racism of which we have been guilty, whether consciously (Psalm 19:13) or unconsciously (Leviticus 4:27),” applying this disposition to every instance of racism; [emphasis mine]

4) Statement Beth Moore tweeted about:

On Nov.30, 2020 this statement was adopted by the Council of Seminary Presidents of the SBC:

“On this twentieth anniversary year of the Baptist Faith & Message (as revised and adopted by the Southern Baptist Convention in 2000), the Council of Seminary Presidents of the Southern Baptist Convention, meeting in its annual session, hereby reaffirms with eagerness the Baptist Faith & Message as the doctrinal statement that unites and defines Southern Baptist cooperation and establishes the confessional unity of our Convention. Our six seminaries are confessional institutions, standing together in this classic statement of biblical truth. All professors must agree to teach in accordance with and not contrary to the Baptist Faith & Message. This is our sacred commitment and privilege, and every individual faculty member and trustee of our institutions shares this commitment. We are thankful for the theological commitments of the Southern Baptist Convention, standing against the tide of theological compromise and in the face of an increasingly hostile secular culture.

In light of current conversations in the Southern Baptist Convention, we stand together on historic Southern Baptist condemnations of racism in any form and we also declare that affirmation of Critical Race Theory, Intersectionality, and any version of Critical Theory is incompatible with the Baptist Faith & Message.” [emphasis mine]

BETH MOORE’S July 21, 2021 Tweet in response to above Nov.30, 2020 SBC Seminary Presidents’ statement—

Here is Beth Moore’s tweet in full:

“I hope to write calmly and clearly this AM. In my estimation, the handwriting was on the wall that this witch-hunt was tragically inevitable when the 6 SBC seminary presidents signed the statement declaring CRT incompatible with the Baptist Faith & Message BECAUSE 1) It wasn’t made clear to many what qualifies as CRT & what does NOT. 2) Many people aren’t going to do the homework on how to differentiate between CRT & BIBLICAL priorities of justice & BIBLICAL mandates against injustice. If you don’t think God frowns on injustices committed or blessed by people who claim to belong to him, you simply aren’t reading your Bible. I don’t have to be a seminary president to suggest reading the prophets if you want to know what kind of hell there can be to pay, when we, the people of God, deal unjustly or stand by silently in its midst. 3) Because of 1 & 2, the moment someone preaches, teaches or speaks against racism or injustice, many church congregations, Christian organizations, students & faculty members of Christian universities & seminaries are now primed to see devils behind every bush and holler “CRT!!”

"I beg you to hear me here: godly people are losing their jobs and WILL lose their jobs by the hundreds over this witch hunt for simply teaching Biblical righteousness. They are no more proponents of CRT than they are horned toads. I am not a proponent of CRT but I will not for one-second relent on stating the obvious fact that systemic injustice thrives in America. You have to have a blindfold on not to see it. Believing there is such a thing as systemic injustice does not equal CRT. Brothers and sisters, we are spreading lies and it is harmful and sinful. And there is no lie as binding as the one we are willing to tell ourselves in order to protect our positions and power structures. When the church is driven by fear and lies rather than by love & truth, it may be some kind of church, but it is not Christ’s. I write in lay-person terms.

"I’m not an academic. I’m a Bible studying Jesus freak who loves the church. I’ll inevitably have said some of this poorly. I require a lot of grace and I ask you to look to the heart of it and test the spirit. I have written these things in love and deep concern.”

MY COMMENTS:

Regarding Beth Moore

1) It is not surprising that Beth Moore is angry towards SBC and their move away from support for CRT. She left SBC, so now she can freely criticize unfiltered. But, why is Beth Moore so angry at these “witch-hunter” SBC Seminary Presidents? Her anger against SBC and their recent stand of non-support of CRT, reveals her lack of understanding of CRT, and her lack of biblical discernment.

2) Lighthouse Trails explains CRT well. So, we don’t have to be confused about what it is all about.

The Lighthouse Trails booklet “Critical Race Theory” points out, on p.6:

Critical Race Theory, which was birthed in the 1980s by lawyers and social activists, has to do with seeing people from a critical perspective as belonging to specific identity groups (e.g. whites, blacks, lesbians, feminists, genders) whereby each group is categorized as either “oppressor” or “oppressed.” It is the creation of “cultural Marxism” wherein the two categories are pitted against the complete overturning of the present system.

Also, on p.7 the booklet goes on to say:

Critical Race theorists believe in institutional (or systemic) racism; that is, racism is so integrated into our American society that “the systems in place [e.g.,capitalism] . . . create and maintain racial inequality in nearly every facet of life for people of color.” Furthermore, they say that all white people, whether they think, talk, or act like it or not, are racist because they are privy to “white privilege” and should therefore be in a perpetual state of guilt and apology to people of color. . . . It doesn’t matter if they never felt or acted as if they were superior to others because they were white; they are white, and therefore, according to CRT, they are racist.

3) Beth Moore complained about the Nov.2020 SBC Seminary Presidents’ statement of CRT being “incompatible” with the Baptist Faith and Message.  She calls this the beginning of their “witch-hunt.” Merriam-Webster’s online definition of “witch-hunt” is: the searching out and deliberate harassment of those (such as political opponents) with unpopular views (see link: https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/witch%20hunt)

Is the SBC on a “witch-hunt”? If so, against whom? “Godly” people who support CRT (Critical Race Theory)? In her tweet, Moore basically “warns” the SBC seminary presidents by saying: “I don’t have to be a seminary president to suggest reading the prophets if you want to know what kind of hell there can be to pay, when we, the people of God, deal unjustly or stand by silently in its midst.”

It appears that Beth Moore is accusing the SBC Seminary Presidents of “dealing unjustly” or “standing by silently in the midst” (midst of what? so-called “systemic injustice”?). And, according to Beth Moore, she accuses those men of not reading the prophets properly, because if they did, they would know “what kind of hell there can be to pay” for people like “them.”

Who are people like “them”? Does Beth Moore’s stereotyping of the SBC Seminary Presidents as “them” sound like divisive talk, pitting one group against another? For a self-proclaimed non-proponent of CRT, Beth Moore paints the SBC Seminary Presidents as “them” (the anti-CRT folks), and herself (along with “godly people”) as “us” (who see systemic injustice everywhere).

CRT is an anti-gospel/unbiblical worldview

What Beth Moore does not realize is that CRT, at its core, is an anti-gospel worldview. Why?

  1. CRT is a secular worldview, so it is inherently an anti-gospel/unbiblical worldview.
  2. CRT’s view of sin, humanity and redemption is anti-gospel.
  3. Sin: According to CRT, humanity’s original sin is “racism”. According to the Bible, man’s original sin is disobedience to God’s command (Adam’s sin in the Garden of Eden). See Genesis 3.
  4. Humanity: According to CRT, humanity is ever trying to “better” itself. According to the Bible, humanity (individual people), can never “better” itself. Each person, because of his or her sin, can only turn to God, acknowledging his or her sin and disobedience against Him, and then God alone can restore God’s image in him or her. This is not becoming “better,” but becoming the man or woman God has created him or her to be (according to the Bible and its standard, not humanity’s standards). See Jer.17:9; Psalm 51:5; 1 John 1:10; Romans 3:23; 5:12,19; Eph.2:1-2.
  5. Redemption: According to CRT, there is no redemption. According to the Bible, there is individual, personal redemption in the cross of Jesus Christ. There is individual forgiveness and reconciliation with God (and with each other), through the death and resurrection (and shed blood) of Jesus Christ. God can redeem, and there is hope in His Son Jesus Christ alone and in believing the gospel. See Colossians 1:14; Ephesians 1:7; Heb. 9:14.

More specifically, according to CRT, there are only two groups of people: the oppressor and the oppressed; the victimizer and the victim; the haves and have-nots; the “us” and “them.” But, there is no redemption. There is no forgiveness. There is no reconciliation. There is no end to the “penance.”  The sin is not biblical sin (Romans 3:23), but the sin is “racism.”

The only solution offered by CRT is for the “oppressors” (whites) to pay perpetual “penance” for their “sin” of racism, whether conscious or unconscious, known or unknown.  CRT is an anti-gospel/unbiblical worldview that offers no hope of healing, restoration, or reconciliation (between one another, or with God).

Whether or not you agree with the SBC Seminary Presidents’ most recent statement (of Nov. 2020), they were making a statement of their stance regarding CRT. Did this statement of their beliefs start a “witch-hunt” (as Beth Moore alleges)? Even if that were true, who exactly were the SBC Seminary Presidents searching out and deliberately harassing?

Beth Moore and CRT
Beth Moore seems to be a proponent of CRT (based on her July 21, 2021 tweet), whether she knows it or not. Who is she defending? People of color? “Godly people” who are not opposed to CRT? She already is feeling guilty for America’s “systemic injustice.”  Look at the language in her tweet. She says:

I am not a proponent of CRT but I will not for one second relent on stating the obvious fact that systemic    injustice thrives in America. You have to have a blindfold on not to see it. Believing there is such a thing as systemic injustice does not equal CRT. Brothers and sisters we are spreading lies and it is harmful and sinful. And there is no lie as binding as the one we are willing to tell ourselves in order to protect our positions and power structures. When the church is driven by fear and lies rather than by love & truth, it may be some kind of church, but it is not Christ’s. I write in lay-person terms.

The most concerning statement in her tweet was her insinuation that anyone who does not support CRT is somehow “spreading lies” that are harmful and sinful. And she is accusing such Christians as telling lies, “in order to protect our positions and power structures.”  Sounds like CRT language to me.

She states unequivocally, that it is an “obvious fact that systemic injustice thrives in America. You have to have a blindfold on not to see it.” I agree that this is not necessarily “equal to CRT,” but it is a red flag that she is being influenced by CRT. CRT includes the pre-conceived generalized assumption that “systemic injustice” is already an inherent, structural, societal problem, and categorizes people of color as the “oppressed”, and whites as the “oppressor.” One of the basic assumptions of CRT is a blind belief that “systemic injustice” in whatever form (racism, oppression towards poor, etc.) does exist in society, period. The word “systemic” is used by CRT proponents to indoctrinate people into believing that all social structures and systems in America, are, at their core, full of injustice.

Again, Beth Moore appears to be a proponent of CRT, but doesn’t realize it . . .

What About SBC?

The SBC’s most current statements regarding “race and racial reconciliation” and CRT reveal they still are believing the basic lie of CRT: specifically, they are still “repenting” and apologizing for their history of racism, whether it was conscious or unconscious, aware or unaware. The CRT lie is that every white person is inherently racist (whether they know it or not). The Lighthouse Trails booklet “Critical Race Theory” on p.7, describes this as a “perpetual state of guilt and apology to people of color. . . . It doesn’t matter if they never felt or acted as if they were superior to others because they were white; they are white, and therefore, according to CRT, they are racist.”

Final Comments

Let’s pray that CRT gets exposed as a secular, and thus anti-gospel/unbiblical, worldview.  Let’s pray that those who loyally follow Beth Moore and/or SBC have their eyes opened to CRT as a demonic deception, leading believers down a dark path.

Colossians 2:8: Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.

1 John 4:1: Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

1 Thessalonians 5:21: Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.

Romans 12:2: And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

No Room in Joe Biden’s America for Persecuted Christian Refugees

The Biden administration announced that beginning with the new fiscal year on October 1, the U.S. will raise its refugee admissions to 125,000.

It’s a goal that the Biden administration had established as far back as April, as the president seeks to overturn another Trump-era immigration policy. But is Biden reversing the policy because it was Trump’s?

The plight of refugees around the world has gotten worse over the past year. Their numbers have increased due largely to war and man-made famines. Coupled with the pandemic, the wisdom of allowing so many unvaccinated people into the United States needs to be questioned.

In FY 2021, the U.S. admitted a record low of 15,000 refugees because of the pandemic. When Biden took office, he immediately raised that number to more than 60,000. Now he’s more than doubled it in 2022.

Associated Press:

In setting the target, the administration said it would focus on several key groups, including Central Americans, Afghans at risk due to their affiliation with the United States, LGBQT refugees and members of the predominantly Muslim Uighur ethnic group who are the targets of Chinese government campaign to eradicate their culture.

But not Christians in the Middle East. There used to be more than 1.5 million Christians in Iraq at the turn of the century. Now, just several hundred thousand remain — victims of religious oppression. By any yardstick, Christians in the Middle East are the victims of genocide.

Related: Taliban Find a Way to Win Over the Left: Hunting Down Christians

Syrian, Egyptian, and Iranian Christians have also been targets of systematic persecution. But there’s no room in Joe Biden’s America for them.

“I applaud the Biden Administration for setting a target of 125,000 refugee admissions in the next fiscal year—a target my colleagues and I have been advocating for since April,” said Sen. Dick Durbin, D-Ill. “And while I’m disappointed in the projected number of refugees to be admitted this fiscal year, I acknowledge the challenges the Biden Administration inherited with the U.S. Refugee Admissions Program due to the anti-immigrant actions of the previous Administration.”

Who are the lucky 125,000 who will be allowed into the U.S? According to the Washington Post, several groups will receive consideration.

According to a report released Monday by the State Department in conjunction with the Departments of Homeland Security and Health and Human Services, the cap for fiscal 2022 is expected to include 40,000 refugees from Africa, 35,000 from the Near East/South Asia, 15,000 from East Asia, 15,000 from Latin America/the Caribbean, and 10,000 from Europe/Central Asia.

An additional 10,000 belong to an unallocated reserve, according to the report.

The report says there will be “increased resettlement of LGBTQI+ refugees; priority access for at-risk Uyghurs, Hong Kong refugees, and Burmese dissidents; and resettlement of Burmese Rohingya.”

All those groups are deserving of American protection. But the question lingers: Why aren’t Christians residing in Muslim lands deserving of the same protection? Why does the U.S. have trouble even recognizing their persecution?

Muslims are very touchy about accusations of persecuting Christians. By their lights, they are very tolerant of other religions.

Indeed, “official” persecution is nearly unheard of. The church burnings, the murder of priests and clergy — these crimes are committed by local fanatics and tolerated by the Muslim majority. The persecution comes when authorities turn a blind eye to the violence — or subtly encourage it. This allows governments to claim they allow religious freedom while perpetrating a genocide.

The Vatican is very vocal about the persecution of people for their religious faith but is always careful to include Muslims, Hindus, and Buddhists in their pleas for tolerance. The seat of Christianity can’t be bothered protecting their own brothers and sisters in Christ.

Biden using U.N. speech to defend ending Afghan war

Today, President Biden delivered a speech to the United Nations (U.N.) General Assembly and it appears he celebrated his many failures in just nine months as President. Joe Biden's full speech at UNGA: China, Taliban, North Korea, submarine row dominate address

U.S. President Joe Biden on Tuesday delivered his first speech since taking office to the United Nations General Assembly. Biden mentioned cold war with China, terrorism, and the US’ nuclear abilities. Biden's appearance at the assembly in New York comes as he continues to deal with a number of foreign policy crises, including blowback from the French over a recent deal to give Australia nuclear-powered submarines, the chaotic US withdrawal from Afghanistan, border and immigration crises, and a bungled US drone strike in Kabul that killed Afghan civilians.
