“What you did to the least of my brethren, you did to me” is a Christian guiding principle according to Matthew chapter 25, verse 35. The commandment to love one’s neighbor was for the brothers in faith, not for all people of that time. Today this is usually carried over to all conceivable neighbors and secondary neighbors on other continents, not just to the people in the area.

Monastic charity for everyone? But not for certain Christians? I couldn’t believe my eyes when I had to read such sentences from a convent headmistress, which she gave to the Badische Zeitung in an interview. E.g. a Christian who was persecuted and came to Germany via France is not granted monastery asylum by the kind woman. She had him sent away at the risk of France not granting him asylum because he entered there via a safe third country.

But open arms for Muslims who entered via Hungary and did not apply for asylum there. Here, too, neither asylum nor any other residence status were granted and therefore they had to return: “In 2016, a young man from Iraq and a young German woman who was supporting the man stood in front of the monastery door. He was desperate because he was supposed to be deported to Hungary, where he had entered the EU for the first time…,” the abbess justified the opening of her monastery to save the man from being” deported “to Hungary. Which is not true. Nobody is deported from Germany, but returned more comfortably than the journey when he arrived. He felt badly treated in Hungary, but Austria lies between there and here. Presumably he wanted to come here because of his bride or for some other reason. However, immigration and asylum law is not yet a matter of wishful thinking.

The family of this migrant was surrounded by IS in Mosul, argues the Muslim man. His brother was killed there. Not a word was said about what became of the family in the interview. Mosul was indeed a contested city in 2015/16. The main targets of the “Islamic State,” however, were Christians rather than Muslims…

“Mosul looks back on a 1600-year-old Christian tradition. Until recently, the city was the seat of several archbishops of Eastern Churches of Syrian tradition…. The cathedral of the Syrian Orthodox Church of Antioch and at the same time the oldest church in the city is St. Thomas Cathedral from the year 640 … of the Syrian Catholic Church. The cathedral of the latter, however, served the Syrian Catholic al-Tahira Cathedral from the 17th century, which was almost completely destroyed in 2017, but is to be rebuilt. The Chaldean Catholic Church, on the other hand, had its bishopric in the medieval Mart Meskinta Church until it was moved to the 18th century Chaldean al-Tahira Cathedral in the 1980s …

After the conquest of Mosul by fighters from the ISIS group or the Islamic State, the Christian residents were given the choice of either leaving the city, converting to Islam or being executed. The vast majority of Christians then left Mosul at the end of July, so that the Christian tradition of the city had come to an end for the time being. According to Archbishop Louis Raphaël I. Sako, 25,000 Christians were still living in Mosul when the ISIS came to power, and according to the BBC, there were even 35,000…

On February 2, 2015, Islamic State terrorists blew up one of the largest and oldest Chaldean Catholic churches in Iraq, the Church of the Virgin Mary, in Mosul. In April 2016, the historic Roman Catholic Church of Our Lady of the Hour from the 19th century was destroyed….

Open Doors 2017 presented a memorable story from Mosul with this report. A young man had joined IS. Christians were expelled or cruelly murdered. This also took part in their expulsion. A few days after the forced exodus of Christians, while walking through the city, he saw men his age hanging on four crosses, guarded by two IS fighters. Ten meters away from the crosses, he looked up at the bloody men and heard one of these men beg God to forgive the IS fighters. The others sang in a tired voice, “Zeedo el-Maseeh tasbeeh – Praise Jesus Christ more and more.”

Traumatized, he left IS and was able to flee. His way led to Istanbul, where he heard the song of the four crucified again from a group of people – and then joined the Christians. Converted, he returned to Mosul, like many others. Back to a former stronghold of Christianity. Because in Turkey, Christians are almost only to be found in the Istanbul area and behind monastery walls.

So it cannot be this man who knocked on the monastery door accompanied by his bride. Nor is it reported that this man converted to Christianity in the monastery that gives him so much charity. Is there any attempt at all in church or monastery asylums to convince Muslims that their faith is an aberration that is causing so much harm everywhere in Islamic states? I know of one organisation besides Open Doors that is successful in defusing human time bombs – the conversion of Muslims and even former Islamists.

But no, our churches and monasteries prefer to coddle Muslims and show fellow believers the door. Like this abbess, who is to stand trial this month. She has to answer for 30 counts of aiding and abetting illegal residence in Germany. She is doing this with other abbesses and nuns. Women simply have a bigger heart for migrants. Outside the convent walls, too, it is women, mostly single, who are the most active in the voluntary help circles and also tend to offer personal support to migrants. But they are not awarding her the Göttingen Peace Prize as the abbess had hoped for the weekend, but they have postponed it. Other volunteers have lost their lives for or in spite of their willingness to help, as happened in Freiburg.

Why do persecuted Christians hardly ever manage to flee to us? To some extent, word has got around among them that sharing accommodation with Muslims is extremely dangerous and conflict-laden. They also know that only a few Christians are willing to accept other Christians. Or they are among the migrants after all and, frightened, do not reveal their faith.

Thus, hardly any victims of war and terror are given any help in Germany, but migrants from the milieu of perpetrators are all the more likely to be helped. Just like the many criminals who have made their way to Germany in the wake of the wave of migration. Some of them are known by name, most of them not yet.

Last week, John MacArthur and a dozen other Christian leaders launched a website presenting The Statement on Social Justice & the Gospel. In the statement, the signatories claim that the social justice movement endangers Christians with “an onslaught of dangerous and false teachings that threaten the gospel, misrepresent Scripture, and lead people away from the grace of God in Jesus Christ.”

Over the course of 14 sections, the statement addresses cultural narratives “currently undermining Scripture in the areas of race and ethnicity, manhood and womanhood, and human sexuality” and argues that a secular threat is infiltrating the evangelical church.

At the time of this recording, the statement has received around 7,000 signatures.

The statement comes at a time when a series of blog posts and sermons attacking social justice from MacArthur, a popular California pastor and author, have sparked controversy in the evangelical community.

The harsh reaction to MacArthur’s ideas was shaped by the events of the past four years, says Washington, DC, pastor and Gospel Coalition council member Thabiti Anyabwile.

“They land in the midst of an evangelical movement that is already fraying and fracturing under the weight of the last five years, if I’m dating this back to the Mike Brown shooting and the fallout,” said Anyabwile. “Evangelicalism as a movement splintered instantly as to how they understood that issue and different quarters circled one another in suspicion and sometimes outright attack.”

Further, the statement’s specific attacks on particular nomenclature have been troublesome because its drafters haven’t defined their terms, says Anyabwile.

“They’re so imprecise in the terms that are used and defining those terms. What exactly is meant by social justice?” he said. “What are we talking about when we talking about reconciliation or intersectionality or critical race theory? These are things that are thrown out there that are red meat for one-quarter of evangelicalism and might be acceptable parlance, depending on how you define it, in other quarters.”

Anyabwile joined associate digital producer Morgan Lee and theology editor Caleb Lindgren to offer context about MacArthur’s remarks, explain how intersectionality shows up in the Bible, and what church unity (not uniformity) should look like.

It’s been 44 days since President Joseph Robinette Biden Jr. was inaugurated, and he has yet to hold a press briefing. Apparently, this is some sort of record, but Biden needn’t worry because his enablers in the press are scrambling to come up with excuses for him. It’s a “new media strategy in a new media environment” or something. Or, no, wait, ol’ Joe is just too busy with the pandemic! Yeah, that’s the ticket.

If you’ve paid any attention to Biden at any point in his half-century in public life, though, you know the real reason he can’t be trusted to field a bunch of questions from reporters he hasn’t rehearsed with: He’s a big dummy and he says lots of dumb things when he has to speak extemporaneously. That’s been true for decades, and it’s even worse now that he’s pushing 80 and his brain is turning into tapioca pudding. His aides want to differentiate him from the gaffe master he replaced, so they’re keeping him under wraps as much as possible.

But there’s only so much they can do. He’s the president and he has to make public appearances from time to time, or else people will start to wonder if he’s still alive. And his bumbling staffers can’t script everything he says. So we can look forward to more Biden gaffes, like the one you’re about to hear, for the next four years or until Kamala takes over.

President Biden on Thursday made one of his most head-turning comments since being sworn in when he told an Indian American aerospace engineer that immigrants from the subcontinent are “taking over” the US.

“It’s amazing. Indian-descent Americans are taking over the country — you, my vice president, my speechwriter,” Biden told Swati Mohan, NASA’s guidance and controls operations lead for the Mars Perseverance rover landing.

This isn’t Biden’s first cringeworthy remark about Indian-Americans. There was this classic from the ’08 campaign trail:

“In Delaware, the largest growth in population is Indian-Americans moving from India. You cannot go to a 7/11 or a Dunkin Donuts unless you have a slight Indian accent.”

Well, Obama obviously didn’t mind.

Is this stuff racist? I dunno. It doesn’t seem racist to me, no matter who’s saying it. I don’t think Joe Biden has hate in his heart when he says these stupid, stupid things. He thinks he’s relating to people by saying this crap about them. He’s not racist, he’s just old.

(And hey, didja know his VP is half-Indian? That’s the half all the Dems use when they get tired of calling you racist against black people. Like Kamala did. To Biden. At a debate.)

But we live in a society where Dr. Seuss’s books are getting banned because 80 years ago he drew a Chinese kid holding chopsticks. Everywhere you look, somebody’s getting fired for saying something that somebody, somewhere, interpreted as racist. Hell, Hank Azaria was pressured to quit playing Apu on The Simpsons after 30 years, because suddenly it’s racist for a white person to be funny playing a person of a different race.

Can you even imagine if the previous president had said this out loud into a microphone? You’d have to peel Brian Stelter off the ceiling.

Hell, last week Biden blurted out what sounded a lot like the N-word, and all the libs pretended it never happened because they just don’t want to deal with it.

Fortunately for Joe, he’s a Democrat who managed to get elected president, so those rules don’t apply to him. He gets the benefit of the doubt because they’re stuck with him. Congrats, Dems, you got the guy you wanted!

Church Militant asked me for comment about this meeting this morning, and I sent them this: “A genuine interfaith meeting at the “Birthplace of Abraham” would have included representatives of all three Abrahamic religions. But the Jewish representatives who were invited reportedly refused to attend. As the Qur’an is deeply antisemitic and calls Jews the worst enemies of Muslims (5:82), under the curse of Allah (9:30), and calls on Muslims to make war against and subjugate them (9:29), it is likely that the Jewish leaders did not believe they would be safe or respected there, which would have been a more realistic view of Islam than the one Francis has. In the same way, there was no mention of Isaac, because in Islamic tradition, Ishmael is the sacrificial son, and so the Pope was apparently all too willing to go along with the devaluation of the tradition shared by Jews and Christians in favor of the Islamic understanding. The readings were from Genesis and from the Qur’an’s Sura Ibrahim, that is, sura 14. It would have been more illuminating and instructive if Qur’an 60:4 had been read. At that point, Abraham tells his unbelieving family that there will be enmity and hatred between him and them forever unless they worship Allah, and he is presented as a model for imitation in doing this. And of course, Jesus was not mentioned, for as always, “Muslim-Christian dialogue” means that Christians move closer to the Islamic position, not any genuine give-and-take or mutuality.

“Hostility, extremism and violence are not born of a religious heart: they are betrayals of religion,” said the Pope. As I told Church Militant, the Pope clings to and repeats the popular fiction that Islamic jihad terrorism arises from a misunderstanding of Islam. Indeed, he can’t even go that far; instead, he says that terrorist acts are “betrayals of religion,” as if there were Christian terrorists in numbers comparable to Islamic terrorists worldwide. His ignoring of the Qur’an’s exhortations to violence against unbelievers doesn’t have the remotest chance of compelling jihadis to give up that violence. All it does is foster complacency and ignorance in Christians.

“For Iraq’s dwindling Christian minority, a show of solidarity from al-Sistani could help secure their place in Iraq after years of displacement — and, they hope, ease intimidation from Shiite militiamen against their community.”

Muslim-Christian dialogue has so far not prevented even one Christian from being persecuted. Maybe this time it will be different, eh?

PLAINS OF UR, Iraq (AP) — Pope Francis and Iraq’s top Shiite cleric delivered a powerful message of peaceful coexistence Saturday, urging Muslims in the war-weary Arab nation to embrace Iraq’s long-beleaguered Christian minority during an historic meeting in the holy city of Najaf.

Grand Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani said religious authorities have a role in protecting Iraq’s Christians, and that Christians should live in peace and enjoy the same rights as other Iraqis. The Vatican said Francis thanked al-Sistani for having “raised his voice in defense of the weakest and most persecuted” during some of the most violent times in Iraq’s recent history.

Al-Sistani, 90, is one of the most senior clerics in Shiite Islam and his rare but powerful political interventions have helped shape present-day Iraq. He is a deeply revered figure in Shiite-majority Iraq and his opinions on religious and other matters are sought by Shiites worldwide.

The historic meeting in al-Sistani’s humble home was months in the making, with every detail painstakingly discussed and negotiated between the ayatollah’s office and the Vatican.

Early Saturday, the 84-year-old pontiff, travelling in a bullet-proof Mercedes-Benz, pulled up along Najaf’s narrow and column-lined Rasool Street, which culminates at the golden-domed Imam Ali Shrine, one of the most revered sites in Shiite Islam. He then walked the few meters (yards) to al-Sistani’s modest home, which the cleric has rented for decades….

The official said al-Sistani, who normally remains seated for visitors, stood to greet Francis at the door of his room — a rare honor. Al-Sistani and Francis sat close to one another, without masks. Al-Sistani, who rarely appears in public — even on television — wore black robes and a black turban, in simple contrast to Francis’ all-white cassock….

The pope arrived later in the ancient city of Ur for an interfaith meeting in the traditional birthplace of Abraham, the biblical patriarch revered by Christians, Muslims and Jews.

“From this place, where faith was born, from the land of our father Abraham, let us affirm that God is merciful and that the greatest blasphemy is to profane his name by hating our brothers and sisters,” Francis said. “Hostility, extremism and violence are not born of a religious heart: they are betrayals of religion.”…

The Vatican said Iraqi Jews were invited to the event but did not attend, without providing further details. Iraq’s ancient Jewish community was decimated in the 20th century by violence and mass emigration fueled by the Arab-Israeli conflict, and only a handful remain….

The Vatican said the historic visit to al-Sistani was a chance for Francis to emphasize the need for collaboration and friendship between different religious communities.

In a statement issued by his office after the meeting, al-Sistani affirmed that Christians should “live like all Iraqis, in security and peace and with full constitutional rights.” He pointed out the “role that the religious authority plays in protecting them, and others who have also suffered injustice and harm in the events of past years.”

Al-Sistani wished Francis and the followers of the Catholic Church happiness, and thanked him for taking the trouble to visit him in Najaf, the statement said.

Pope Francis is warning that the Earth could be facing a second great flood — similar to the one that Noah and his family faced — should planetary leaders not quickly address “injustice” and the scourge of anthropogenic global warming. The pontiff made the remarks in a new book titled Of Vices and Virtues by Don Marco Pozza, the chaplain of the Padua prison.

The book — basically a book-length interview with Pope Francis — was released on March 2 in Italian by Rizzoli Publishers. An excerpt was published on Sunday in Corriere Della Sera, an Italian newspaper.

“A great deluge, perhaps due to a rise in temperature and the melting of the glaciers: what will happen now if we continue on the same path,” Pope Francis said.

The Pope made the remark while speaking on the much broader topic of God’s wrath against evil and injustice.

“God’s wrath is against injustice, against Satan. It is directed against evil, not that which derives from human weakness, but evil of Satanic inspiration: the corruption generated by Satan, behind which single men, single women, entire societies go. God’s wrath is meant to bring justice, ‘clean up,’” the 84-year-old Francis said.

“The flood is a result of God’s wrath,” the Pope continued. “He is a figure of God’s wrath, who according to the Bible has seen too many bad things and decides to obliterate humanity. The biblical [flood], according to experts, is a mythical tale. (Now I hope someone doesn’t argue that the Pope said the Bible is a myth!) But myth is a form of knowledge. The flood is a historical tale, archaeologists say, because they found traces of a flood in their excavations.”

“The story of Noah shows that God’s wrath is also a savior,” Francis concluded.

The excerpt also included Francis’s thoughts on prudence in government, saying that “prudence is an essential virtue for those who govern.” The Pope also spoke about faith and doubt in the lives of Christians.

The release of these papal remarks comes in advance of the Pope’s visit to Iraq this week. It is the first papal visit to any country since the COVID-19 pandemic began and is believed to be the first visit by any pope to a Middle Eastern country besides Israel.

It is hoped that the visit will bolster the Christian population of the region, which had suffered so terribly under ISIS rule. Christians still find themselves under attack by Islamic extremists in the region.

The trip will include a meeting between Francis and the Grand Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani, the spiritual leader of Iraqi Shia Muslims. Open Doors, which maintains a world watchlist of Christian persecution, currently lists Iraq as the 11th most dangerous country for Christians.

Hopefully, the Pope can use his influence to make some inroads in Iraq about the treatment of Christians there.

But he may wish to study the Great Flood a little more.

Pope Francis describes the evil events preceding the flood accurately enough. Genesis 6:5 says, “And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thought of his heart was only evil continually.”

We all know the story. Noah alone was found righteous by God; the ark was built and the flood destroyed everything but Noah, his family, and the animals on the Ark. God’s wrath fulfilled, just as Francis described.

But there was more to it than that. After the flood receded and Noah and his family got to work rebuilding the world, God made a covenant with Noah and his descendants. 'This is full-on abuse'

A video of a woman having a little boy read from "The GayBCs" — a children's book that uses letters of the alphabet to introduce readers as young as 4 years old to LGBTQ words — has been making quite a stir on social media.

What are the details?

The video begins with the little boy reading aloud the word for letter A: "ally." Then the woman with him is heard introducing the rest of the letters, beginning with "B is for" — and the tyke answers "bi."

While some of the words don't possess immediate LGBTQ connotations — H is for "hope" and M is for "mountain," for instance — others like "bi" hit right at the heart of it. And little boy with his cute little-boy voice reads all of them:

C is for "coming out."
D is for "drag."
G is for "gay."
I is for "intersex."
L is for "lesbian."
N is for "non-binary."
O is for "orientation."
Q is for "queer."
T is for "trans."

As you might expect, some folks wondered why a kid so young was being introduced to such words:

"The 'progressive alphabet' for the next generation," the Twitter commenter said. "God help us!"

Others seemed just as disturbed:

"right folks, it's been real but I'm done with this planet," another commenter wrote in reaction to the clip. "Taking the next Elon Musk spaceship to Mars so we can start over."
"What the actual f***," another user declared.
"Why is this necessary?" yet another commenter asked.
"I'm gay & ... KIDS SHOULD NOT BE TAUGHT ABOUT SEX. PERIOD," another user noted. "Doesn't matter if it makes YOU feel better. Is P for pedo? S for sodomy? I'd object to a kid learning an alphabet of diseases, too. It's called preserving innocence."
"My 6 year old reads at a 3rd grade level and does not know half of these words by design," another commenter said. "This is full-on abuse. But those of us that do not perpetuate degeneracy can still do our jobs. Pull your kids. Vet their social circle. It's the very least you can do."

But not everyone was upset

As you might imagine, others were fully supportive of the little boy being introduced to LGBTQ words:

"I don't get what homophobic people find so toxic with videos like this," one commenter said before mocking detractors. "Wow the child is probably gonna grow up to be respectful that people can be different in many ways; omg I can't believe it, this is brainwashing!!"
"In the past if you read an ABCs book, it might've had B for boy with the color blue and G for girl with the color pink, until you associate the color with the gender," another user noted. "Familiarizing children with gay, trans, and non-binary things is the exact same thing. That isn't brainwashing."
"It's teaching kids that other people and minorities exist," another commenter wrote. "Trying to imply this is wrong is only implying that children should only grow up to misunderstand and be ignorant of other lifestyles ... perpetuates a problem; that is what we already have with ppl misunderstanding us."

The Democratic-controlled U.S. House of Representatives passed the controversial Equality Act in a 224-206 vote on Thursday despite growing concerns over how the legislation would affect religious liberty, women’s sports, as well as other concerns. The bill now heads to the Senate for consideration.

The Equality Act’s passage included the support of three Republicans, including Reps. Brian Fitzpatrick of Pennsylvania and John Katko and Tom Reed of New York, who joined the Democratic majority in voting to pass the bill.

“The LGBT community has waited long enough,” said Rep. David Cicilline, D-R.I., who is a homosexual and the lead sponsor of the bill. “The time has come to extend the blessings of liberty and equality to all of Americans regardless of who they are and who they love,” Cicilline asserted.

The purpose of the Equality Act as set forth by Cicilline and its sponsors is to expand the legal protections afforded under existing civil rights law in employment, housing, education, public accommodations, as well as in other areas, to include sexual orientation and gender identity as protected classes and making it illegal to discriminate against the added classes regardless of religious or conscience objections.

The bill, which was opposed by the majority of Republicans in the House, has been met with much opposition from Christian groups, as well as social conservatives, who express that the bill will inevitably lead to Christian persecution, conscience violations and other actions that will result in the loss of freedom.

As previously reported, within hours of taking his oath of office, Joe Biden signed an executive order barring discrimination based on “gender identity” and “sexual orientation.”

These moves follow the U.S. Supreme Court’s landmark 6-3 decision in Bostock v. Clayton County, which was written by Trump-nominated, conservative Justice Neil Gorsuch. In the Bostock case, the high court ruled that a civil rights law protects both homosexual and “transgender” people from what it considers “job discrimination” in employment. One of the cases involved surrounded a funeral home that fired a man who wanted to wear a skirt uniform at work.

The court decided that a section of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, known as Title VII, which bars job discrimination on the basis of sex, among other traits, may be read to include homosexual and “transgender” employees.

Representative Jimmy Panetta (D-Calif.), joined by nearly three dozen other Democrats on Tuesday, sent a letter to President Biden expressing legitimate concern over his having unilateral control of the nuclear codes:

Vesting one person with this authority entails real risks.

Past presidents have threatened to attack other countries with nuclear weapons or [have] exhibited behavior that caused [foreign] officials concern about the president’s judgment….

While any president would presumably consult with advisors before ordering a nuclear attack, there is no requirement to do so. The military is obligated to carry out the order if they assess it is legal under the laws of war.

Under the current posture of U.S. nuclear forces, that attack could happen in minutes.

While Democrats feigned concern over control of the nuclear codes — the 45-pound briefcase called the “nuclear football” — when Donald Trump was in the White House, this time their concerns are likely real.

During Monday’s ceremony honoring Americans who have died from COVID, Joe Biden suffered a massive brain freeze:

The only way to spare more pain and more loss, the only way … these millstones no longer mark our national mourning … these milestones, I should say, no longer … no longer moke … mark our national mourning.

On Tuesday, during a virtual phone call from the White House to a childcare worker in Columbus, Ohio, Biden was asked, “When are you going to see us in Columbus?” Biden answered, “Well, I’m going to be back in Columbus,” adding:

I was in Columbus, actually now it’s about literally 35 days or so ago … I came through on a whistle-stop on a train.

The actual event in Ohio occurred on September 30, 146 days ago, and it was in Cleveland, not Columbus.

A virtual cottage industry has sprung up compiling Biden’s gaffes. For those with the stomach for it, The Scoop has a ten-minute-long video of his more famous, or infamous, gaffes.

During the campaign, a joke was made about Biden’s dementia that might, if he were to become president, cause him to set off nuclear war by mistake, thinking he was pushing the button on the TV remote.

Now, considering that he is the present occupant of the Oval Office, it’s no joke.

SOUTHERN BAPTIST PRESIDENT JD Greear Says He’d Rather Unite With Those Who Pervert the Gospel Than Those Who Defend It

In case you missed it, JD Greear, president of the Southern Baptist Convention addressed the Southern Baptist Executive Committee last night with a sermon decrying “white supremacy” and all those who oppose Critical Race Theory. If you can stomach it, the sermon can be watched here and begins around the 51-minute mark.

During the sermon, Greear decried his critics who accused him of being liberal and then gave a rundown of his conservative credentials; he said that he believes homosexuality is a sin and that homosexuals left a packet on his doorstep of pamphlets of people who have committed suicide because of his anti-homosexuality position. Yet, in 2019, Greear preached a sermon on Romans 1 and concluded that God believes other sins — such as boasting — are more egregious than homosexuality.

Greear then went into a tirade against people who believe that Critical Race Theory, a secular Marxist ideology that is opposed to the gospel, and labeled them as “pharisees” and called them “demonic.”

“We should mourn when closet racists and neo-Confederates feel more at home in our churches than do many of our people of color,” he said. “The reality is that if we in the SBC had shown as much sorrow for the painful legacy that racism and discrimination has left in our country as we have the passion to decry CRT, we probably wouldn’t be in this mess.”

Of course, those “neo-Confederates” he is referring to would be the most vocal anti-Marxist critics in the denomination. Those would include men like Tom Ascol and Tom Buck, even Voddie Baucham. And, of course, it would include the countless journalists out there covering the stories including Reformation Charlotte, Capstone Report, Worldview Conversations, and Protestia, among many others.

If Greear were after unity, he’d denounce the heresy that is swarming the denomination and call for unity around the truth. Instead, Greear labels those who defend biblical doctrine as “pharisees” and calls on the denomination to repudiate them.

“Brothers and sisters, in the 1980s, we repudiated the leaven of the liberals, a leaven that threatened to poison the gospel,” he said. “Are we now going to repudiate the leaven of the Pharisees, which can choke out the gospel just as easily?”

Greear also demonstrated a complete lack of understanding of Jesus’ issue with the pharisees when said that the pharisees in the New Testament had correct doctrine, but that their problem was that they opposed Jesus. The Scriptures, however, do not teach that the pharisees had correct doctrine — Jesus’ problem with them is that they were false teachers, just like those who push Critical Race Theory.

DHS: ‘Right-Wing Extremists’ Committed Most Deadly Terrorist Attacks Last Year~Not Antifa, Black Lives Matter, Communists or Islamic Jihadists

In yet another story purporting to confirm the left’s view of the world, Jana Winter reported in Yahoo News Friday that “the U.S. government is acknowledging for the first time that right-wing extremists were responsible for the majority of fatal domestic terrorist attacks last year, according to an internal report circulated by the Department of Homeland Security last week.” But as you might expect, it’s long on vague assertions and decidedly short on facts.

The report was produced by the Joint Regional Intelligence Center, which Winter describes as “a DHS-funded fusion center,” and was sent out to police nationwide. It claims that civil unrest and violence last year were primarily associated with “non-affiliated, right-wing and left-wing actors,” and that “right-wing [domestic violent extremists] were responsible for the majority of fatal attacks in the Homeland in 2020.”

That wretchedly written statement apparently says that most fatal attacks in the U.S. were perpetrated by both “right-wing and left-wing actors,” and yet “journalist” Winter and the “experts” she quotes all concentrate exclusively on the “right-wing extremism.” And to be sure, the report itself appears to be designed to give the impression that “right-wing extremism” is a genuine and major threat, while quietly admitting that there is a bit of violence on the left.

The Yahoo News report asserts that “this appears to be the first known instance of an official government or law enforcement agency clearly acknowledging the trend, though senior officials have noted the rise in white supremacist attacks.” It isn’t really all that new, however: FBI director Christopher Wray claimed back in September 2017 that “white nationalist” violence was at least as much of a danger to the United States as the Islamic State. But now this claim is being codified as policy. Seth Jones of the Center for Strategic and International Studies states of the new report: “What is a little unusual is that they’ve used terms like ‘right- and left-wing’ in a government document, because the government has generally used other terms. The government in 2020 did try to stay away from ‘right-wing’ terms because they were easily politicized.”

Under the newly installed president Joe Biden, the federal government is making an aggressive pivot to silence dissent and smear patriotic Americans as white supremacists. Taxpayer-funded grants are being doled out to universities and organizations eager to get the cash for their “research” on “disinformation,” “domestic extremism” and “white supremacy”.

While the establishment media is framing the effort as a response to the events that took place at the Capitol on January 6th, the initiative to deplatform and discredit *certain* Americans is nothing new, and was frankly only barely held in check during President Trump’s administration. Now the already well-funded effort of deplatforming citizens with the wrong opinions has the full backing of the federal government, often justified as combatting “disinformation.”

American University

One of the recipients of over $500,000 taxpayer dollars is American University, for a project that studies the “growing threat of violent white supremacist extremist disinformation.” According to an article at NBC News, “[T]he program is aimed at preventing the spread of the disinformation through what researchers call ‘attitudinal inoculation.'” “Attitudinal inoculation” is described with the vague, yet condescending goal to “give people who may be vulnerable to disinformation the skills to recognize it and argue against it, much as a vaccine builds antibodies to a virus before the body encounters it.”

American University’s Kurt Braddock is an expert on “attitudinal inoculation”, and he has also written about how President Trump is a “stochastic terrorist,” which he defines as someone who “makes comments that promote terrorism without explicitly asking people to engage in violence.”

Under that broad umbrella, anyone can be promoting violence, like the people in this video, perhaps:

The concept is reminiscent of “hate incidents” which are often used in place of “hate crimes” because there are frankly so few actual, convicted hate crimes committed by white people (the only group that matters in this context).

Braddock also dredged up the completely debunked, tiresome lie that President Trump referred to the pro-socialist nazis of Charlottesville as “very fine people.” Should Braddock be in charge of what constitutes “disinformation”?

Deplatforming Movement

There are many, many groups that have been actively and obsessively involved in justifying the deplatforming of conservatives since President Trump was elected in 2016. Deplatforming, or squashing conservative voices, is justified by these partisan actors as removing so-called disinformation. Those who engage in deplatforming smear their ideological opposition by falsely labeling them as “nazis,” “white supremacists,” “far-right,” “right-wing extremists,” or “white nationalists.”

The Deplatforming movement exists at the highest levels, and includes groups like Hillary Clinton’s Accountable Tech, the Trusted News Initiative, HOPE not hate, Data & Society, Media Matters for America, NARAL Pro-Choice America, MoveOn.org, Center for Media and Democracy, Common Cause, Defeat Disinfo and countless others. Many deplatforming advocates signed a letter dated December 21, 2020 to Joe Biden asking that his administration “treat disinformation as a fundamental and intersectional threat…”

The Department of Homeland Security Will Persecute Conservatives

Author Nick Miroff of the Washington Post reports that the long-time left-wing effort to get the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to focus on “domestic terrorism” has finally paid off. In an article titled “The agency founded because of 9/11 is shifting to face the threat of domestic terrorism,” Miroff mentions Patrick Crusius, who murdered 23 innocent human beings in El Paso, Texas on Aug. 3, 2019 as an example of domestic terror. Miroff forgot to mention the subsequent mass murder of nine people by Dayton shooter Connor Betts the very next day. Betts was a radical leftist. The Washington Post “journalist” also has referred to “Trump’s rhetoric as the gasoline of extremism.”

The problem with the DHS focusing on domestic issues instead of guarding the homeland from external threats including illegal immigration is clear. Joe Biden’s administration is completely compromised.

Taxpayers are funding universities and organizations actively engaged in “research” designed to harm Americans by deplatforming them and painting them as “white supremacists” and “domestic extremists”. Those who conduct the research are often invited to participate in congressional hearings and take part in drafting legislation. Citizens must start paying attention before pro-American voices are silenced completely.

A so-called progressive ‘church’ in Nashville has drawn opposition after posting a message on social media stating that the Bible isn’t “the Word of God … inerrant or infallible.”

The organization, calling itself “GracePointe Church,” led by false teacher Josh Scott posted the disturbing message on Facebook on Sunday, February 7. The post related to a message he delivered on YouTube called “What Is Progressive Christianity?” as a part of GracePointe’s online service.

“As Progressive Christians, we’re open to the tensions and inconsistencies in the Bible. We know that it can’t live up to impossible, modern standards. We strive to more clearly articulate what Scripture is and isn’t,” the organization posted before citing what they claim the Bible isn’t and is.

“The Bible isn’t: the Word of God, self-interpreting, a science book, an answer/rule book, inerrant or infallible,” it listed. “The Bible is a product of community, a library of texts, multi-vocal, a human response to God, living and dynamic,” it continued.

The Bible warns in 2 Timothy 4:3-4: “For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.”

Does the Vatican really think that this will increase harmony and mutual respect between Muslims and Christians? Vatican top dogs should consider a statement of the Muslim Brotherhood theorist Sayyid Qutb: “The chasm between Islam and Jahiliyyah [the society of unbelievers] is great, and a bridge is not to be built across it so that the people on the two sides may mix with each other, but only so that the people of Jahiliyyah may come over to Islam.” Dialogue, in other words, is all too often for the Islamic side a means of dawah, Islamic proselytizing, not a genuine discussion. “Vatican to organize conference promoting Mary as ‘model for faith’ for both Christianity and Islam,” by Jeanne Smits, LifeSite News, February 16, 2021:

February 16, 2021 (LifeSiteNews) — “Mary, a model for faith and life for Christianity and Islam:” is the title of an upcoming series of online webinars presenting Our Lady as a bridge between Catholicism and Islam organized, among others, by the Pontifical Academy of Mary (Pontificia Academia Mariana Internationalis or PAMI).

Starting on February 18, ten weekly conferences will be given jointly by Catholic and Muslim speakers who will seek “dialogue, knowledge and cooperation” regarding themes such as “Mary, a woman of faith,” “God who is love and faith,” prayer, purity, hospitality and non-violence, fasting and penitence, fraternity and citizenship.

The Franciscan pontifical University of Rome, the “Antonianum,” is another co-organizer of the event through its Duns Scot Chair of Mariological Studies as well as the International Islamic-Christian Marian Commission and the Grand Mosque of Rome and its Islamic Cultural Center of Italy.

The Italian weekly Famiglia Christiana presented the event in the light of the Abu Dhabi declaration, illustrating its article on Saturday with a photo of Pope Francis signing the Human Fraternity Document together with Imam al-Tayyeb of the Al-Azhar University of Cairo.

Quoting at length from the Document, Gian Matteo Roggio commented: “The course of these webinars is therefore aimed at active, free, conscious, solidary and popular participation in the opening of this space of intersection, interconnection, hospitable reception, thus meeting the explicit requests of Pope Francis and the Grand Imam of Al-Azahr, the noble Sheikh Ahmad Al-Tayyeb.”

Readers of Famiglia Christiana in Italy are being asked to believe this: “The figure of Mary, a Jewish, Christian and Muslim woman, belongs by right and by fact to the path, the processes and the experiences that contribute to the generation of such an educational path, which makes a positive and confident wager on the embrace between generations and on a new politics and economy, where countries do not need to build their identity on contempt and on systematic negation, whether overt or covert, of the other and of others: an identity, that is, at the expense of the dissimilar and ready to identify in the other the cause of all the ills, failures, limitations and problems that instead have their multiple causes elsewhere. Belonging to these three religious and multi-cultural worlds (Judaism, Christianity, Islam), the figure of Mary is in itself a pressing and constant invitation to intersect and interconnect these same worlds, even making them a model of plural coexistence where the boundaries of each are made to allow communication, passage, exchange; and not to be closed, according to the many figures of exclusion that have, as their fruit, the culture, psychology, politics and economics of war, hatred and inhumanity.”

In the same grandiloquent style, Roggio added: “The webinars will end during the month of Ramadan with ‘the dates of Mary’ in the Conference Hall of the Great Mosque of Rome (health situation permitting): in memory of what is stated in the Holy Quran (Sura 19,22-26), namely that after giving birth near the trunk of a palm tree, she was called by the newborn child who told her ‘Do not be sad […] shake the trunk of the palm tree towards you and it will drop fresh and ripe dates on you. So eat them,’ a meal of friendship and fraternity will be shared once the sun goes down, as a tangible pact of alliance for the service to the common good of all, no one excluded, in obedience to the ‘understanding of the great divine grace that makes all human beings brothers’ (Document on human brotherhood for world peace and common coexistence).”

Roggio, the author of these very pro-Islamic lines, is not simply a journalist, he is a member of the religious order, the Missionaries of Our Lady of La Salette. He studied Mariology at the Pontifical Academy of Mary and is now a professor at the same institution. Roggio will be giving the lecture on “God who is love and mercy” on February 25, together with Islamic theologian Shahrzad Houshmand Zadeh, who teaches at the Gregoriana Pontifical University.

Roggio’s words therefore clearly express the spirit of the coming Islamo-Christian webinars: a spirit of profound relativism and misleading equation between the Catholic faith and Muslim beliefs.

The real question is this one: is the Virgin Mary whom we Catholics honor as the Mother of Jesus, only Son of God and the Word Incarnate, the same person as the woman named “Miriam” by the Quran? Is her son, Îssa, the Quranic equivalent of Jesus? He would then be a “Jesus” who could not in any way be the Son of God, because, the Quran proclaims, such an idea is “something monstrous” and that “it is not fitting for the Most Merciful to have a son.”…

President Joe Biden promised to be a president “for all Americans,” even for those who did not vote for him. Yet in his first few days in office, Biden signed divisive executive orders championing the nebulous concept of gender identity over biological sex. Biden’s new orders threaten to upend science and fairness in many segments of American society, including women’s sports, women’s private spaces, the military, and medicine. Republicans in at least 13 states are fighting back.

Biden issued an executive order banning “discrimination” on the basis of gender identity. The order requires schools to open girls’ restrooms, locker rooms, and sports leagues to biological boys. It requires health care plans to pay for experimental transgender “treatments” and requires doctors and hospitals to perform them.

This order enforced the Supreme Court’s ruling in Bostock v. Clayton County (2020), which redefined “discrimination on the basis of sex” in federal law to include discrimination on the basis of gender identity. As Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito warned in his dissent, this move threatens “freedom of religion, freedom of speech, and personal privacy and safety.”

Specifically, Alito warned that allowing biological males to enter women’s bathrooms and changing rooms may invite assault or abuse. He warned that opening women’s sports to biological males would “force young women to compete against students who have a very significant biological advantage.” He warned that the Court’s ruling would force rape crisis centers to admit biological males if they claim to identify as women.

Alito also warned that the Court’s ruling — and, by extension, Biden’s order — would prevent religious organizations from only hiring people who “actually live the faith.” He warned the ruling would force employers and health care providers to endorse transgender surgeries. He warned that this broad interpretation of discrimination would suppress free speech, forcing people to kowtow to transgender pronouns.

States are considering laws that address these concerns.

1. Women’s sports.

“The science is settled: boys have an unfair competitive advantage over girls in athletics,” Aaron Baer, president of the Center for Christian Virtue in Ohio, said in a statement after Republicans filed the Save Women’s Sports Act in the Ohio House of Representatives. “As the father of two girls, [I think] it’s unbelievable that the Biden administration would put our daughters at risk, and deny them a level playing field by forcing them to compete against boys.”

Baer and his Christian organization are far from alone in raising concerns about the destruction of women’s sports. Feminists and scientific journals have warned that males have biological advantages over females that cannot be erased by simply identifying as female. Women’s sports exist to enable fair competition, and transgender activism destroys that possibility.

Duke Law School professor Doriane Lambelet Coleman warned that if women’s sports must admit biological men, “the very best women in the world would lose to literally thousands of boys and men, including thousands who would be considered second-tier.”

Republicans have spearheaded legislation to protect women’s sports in Georgia (H.B. 276), Missouri (H.B. 1077), Ohio (H.B. 61), Tennessee (H.B. 3), Texas (H.B. 1458), and Utah (H.B. 302). The Montana House passed the “Save Women’s Sports Act” (H.B. 112) last month and the Mississippi Senate passed the “Mississippi Fairness Act” (S.B. 2536) last week.

2. Protecting children’s health

While Biden has not explicitly supported experimental transgender “treatments” for minors such as so-called “puberty-blocking” drugs and cross-sex hormones, he has endorsed transgender identity and activism for kids under age 10 and he has nominated an openly transgender official to serve as assistant secretary of health at the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).

Transgenderism has already caused medical mixups, to deadly effect. In one case, a pregnant woman who identified as a man went to the hospital with abdominal pains. Because the woman’s records identified her as a man, the hospital ruled out labor and did not give her the treatment she needed. Her baby died.

There is no evidence that transgender surgery improves the mental health outcomes of gender dysphoric people. Men and women who formerly identified as transgender and underwent surgery have grown to reject transgender identity and lament the damage they did to their own bodies.

Last year, Britain’s High Court ruled that children under age 16 lack the ability to consent to “puberty-blocking” drugs and cross-sex hormones that have irreversible life-long effects. Children who undergo such “treatments” often persist in transgender identity and lose their ability to have children later in life.

In this context, the Alabama House and Senate are considering the Vulnerable Child Compassion and Protection Act (H.B. 1 and S.B. 10), which would prohibit experimental transgender “treatments” on children who cannot give informed consent to permanent life-altering procedures. The bill would make it a felony for a doctor to subject a child to “puberty blockers” or cross-sex hormones. Republicans in Tennessee introduced a similar bill (S.B. 657), as did legislators in Georgia (H.B. 401). Republicans in Kentucky filed a bill to prevent transgender “treatments” without written consent from a parent or guardian (H.B. 477).

3. Bathroom bills

While North Carolina repealed its H.B. 2 legislation, which defended women’s privacy in multiple-stall bathrooms, other states have considered such legislation. Republicans in Iowa filed a bill to prohibit “persons from entering single and multiple occupancy toilet facilities in elementary and secondary schools that do not correspond with the person’s biological sex” (S.F. 224).

Transgender activists claim such bills are unnecessary because people who genuinely suffer from gender dysphoria (the persistent and painful condition of identifying with the gender opposite one’s biological sex) do not represent a threat in private spaces. Unfortunately, opening sex-segregated spaces like bathrooms and changing rooms would not just open the doors to individuals with gender dysphoria — it would also allow provocateurs like Jessica Yaniv and perverts to access private women’s spaces.

4. Religious freedom and medical ethics.

Many Americans — including employers, doctors, and various other health care providers — have moral and religious objections to transgender “treatments,” especially to surgeries that permanently sterilize patients. Biden has expressed hostility to religious freedom protections in the health care industry and his transgender executive order may force some health care providers to carry out these procedures in violation of their consciences.

The day before Biden became president, a federal court in North Dakota defended Roman Catholic health care providers from an Obamacare mandate forcing doctors and nurses to perform transgender surgeries. Catholic hospitals refuse to carry out elective surgeries that result in sterilization because they interpret such surgeries as perpetuating harm and therefore violating the Hippocratic Oath. Some doctors have warned that even the hormones — the less invasive “treatment” — give healthy people a disease.

Physicians, health care providers, and employers should enjoy the religious freedom to refrain from carrying out or funding such surgeries — and this conscience protection should extend to everyone who considers transgender surgery to be physically harmful, regardless of their faith.

Republicans in Arkansas (S.B. 289), Kentucky (S.B. 83), and South Dakota (H.B. 1247) have filed legislation to protect the consciences of health care workers on this issue.

Many of these bills have a good chance of becoming law, and these efforts represent a long-overdue backlash to the radical activism of transgender identity in various aspects of American society. Unfortunately, most of the legacy media has bought into the worldview of transgenderism. Outlets like CNN have reported these legislative efforts as “anti-LGBTQ bills.” In reporting on the bills, the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) repeated the far-left smear factory the Southern Poverty Law Center’s (SPLC) false accusation that Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF) — a mainstream conservative Christian law firm supporting many of these bills — is a “hate group” that belongs on a list with the Ku Klux Klan. HRC blasted ADF and the Heritage Foundation as “hateful anti-LGBTQ organizations.”

Hillsong has been a scandal-plagued church since its founding. The organization, which has often found itself defending indefensible actions by its leaders and members, has become nothing less than a personality cult for high-profile celebrities — like Justin Bieber and Chris Pratt — and their followers to attend who want to be able to say they’re “Christians” without having to actually commit themselves to any doctrinal standards.

The organization has never fully recovered from its pedophile cover-up scandal involving CEO Brian Houston’s father, Frank Houston.

Other scandals include NYC Lentz’ telling CNN that he may be open to affirming homosexuals at some point and his daughter caught on camera taking part in an anti-police protest as she screeches and screams at police. And gay advocacy groups have claimed that Hillsong is secretly pro-gay, but won’t announce it publicly. Hillsong’s CEO, Brian Houston, says that we shouldn’t “judge” homosexuals because God is a “God of love” and threw Chris Pratt under the bus after Pratt publicly supported a biblical view on sexuality.

Hillsong has hosted Roman Catholic masses, has put on literal circus performances, held sleazy Christmas performances and paraded scantily clad women across the stage, and featured a “naked cowboy” at a women’s conference followed by a “naked Santa” at another conference. It’s easy to see why so many Bible-believing Christians refuse to even allow their presence through music in their churches — Hillsong is a prosperity gospel cult and a breeding ground of false converts. And their leaders are dropping like flies — including Marty Sampson, the worship leader who renounced his faith altogether after the fame and glory Hillsong offered him was no longer enough to satisfy his carnal desires.

And now, the church is being sued by the owner of a building they were renting in Connecticut after prematurely canceling the lease and leaving over 100 thousand dollars in rent unpaid and stolen equipment.

Brian Houston, the founder and CEO recently told his audience that he and his controversial “sex advice book” wife, Bobbie Houston that as they were aging, they no longer had the ability to lead such an astronomically-sized global organization, stating that it would be “unsustainable for us to be able to lead everything that we’re leading right now. I want to be looking at ways we can share that load.”

After the last pastoral sex scandal involving Hillsong NYC pastor, Carl Lentz — who was fired prior to admitting to having frequent sex outside of marriage — Houston expressed regret for not having dealt with the “leadership issue” sooner.

“So you know, this year is our 38th year since Bobbie and I started out here in the Hills,” said Houston during the second Vision Sunday service of the weekend. “I’ve been doing a lot of soul-searching and praying about the future and the way ahead.”

He promised the audience that he wasn’t retiring and that he and Bobbie would “still be around” and that he would still preach “as long as they want me to.”

According to reports, Houston will be handing over leadership to Gary Clarke who is currently the lead pastor of the Hillsong UK branch.

Principled People Should Cut All Ties With the Episcopal Church

The Washington National Cathedral has been dodging intense incoming missile fire since they apologized to livid LGBTQ bullies for having conservative author Max Lucado preach at its virtual Sunday service recently. The church invited Max to “build bridges,” but his biblical views on sexuality and marriage make them hold their breath in angst. When those defenders of equal rights at the local Lavender Club started shooting at Cathedral leaders, they, along with the Bishop, folded like a cheap suit as all unprincipled people do.

Church officials blamed their “mistake” on their “straight privilege” and begged forgiveness for the “pain” they had caused. The two gutless church leaders promised to schedule a “listening session” for the LGBTQ crowd who had turned blue from holding their breath.

The Episcopal Church is so twisted that it put one of their bishops on trial for following the Bible! William Love was a very conservative and orthodox Episcopal Bishop of Albany, New York, and was tried by his denomination for being too biblical. The Bishop abides by the traditional Christian doctrine that marriage is the union of one man and one woman. The courageous Bishop was put on trial “after banning gay marriage ceremonies in his diocese.”

Bishop Love is as out of place in the radical Episcopal denomination as Louis Farrakhan at a Jewish bar mitzvah. After enormous pressure from his craven denominational leaders, Love resigned from his bishopric effective February 1, 2021.

Good, now other principled leaders and ordinary church members should leave the denomination as if their hair were on fire.

Frankly, all principled people, with any cursory knowledge of biblical truth, should cut all ties with all the mainline churches that have become little more than social clubs. Most of these churches are very light on the Bible and deep into social justice, promotion of same-sex “marriage,” transgenderism, globalism, climate change, etc. By continuing in apostate denominations, members become participants in the compromise and corruption of their evil deeds.

The Episcopal Church has been dominated by weirdos such as Bishops James Pike, John Spong, and Gene Robinson. Their best-known churches are the National Cathedral and St. John’s in Washington, D.C. Those churches would be empty and used as warehouses if they were not historic places.

I watched two hours of a dialogue held at the National Cathedral dealing with two cathedral windows that depict Robert E. Lee and Thomas Stonewall Jackson. Cathedral officials had been wrestling with this for a long time, and in September 2017, the windows were removed.

The media and the panel discussion I watched were concerned about the windows telling an “incomplete and misleading account of our history.” An official said, “We are committed to finding ways to offer a richer, more balanced expression of our nation’s history.” I’ll buy that; however, I demand some consistency, something that never concerns liberals.

During the panel discussion, the Rev. Dr. Kelly Brown Douglas, Canon Theologian at the Cathedral, spoke approvingly of Nat Turner, and another spoke positively of W. E. B. Du Bois. The panelists also agreed that one must know about Thomas Jefferson’s ownership of hundreds of slaves to really know the man. Okay, I’ll accept that, but no one seemed concerned to tell the whole story about Turner and Du Bois, so I will. Maybe the panel, consisting of two white people and two black people, does not know the complete stories of those men.

Nat Turner, a black slave in Virginia, claimed to be a Baptist preacher who always felt destined for greatness, and his parents encouraged him, considering him a prophet. They were convinced of that because of unusual marks on his head and breast! Turner reported seeing spirits fighting in the sky, and he allegedly heard voices. Being a “prophet,” he communicated “revelations” to fellow slaves. I don’t need to emphasize that such is more indicative of a paranoid than a prophet.

Then, when Mount St. Helens erupted on February 12, 1831, nearly 3,000 miles away, Virginia’s atmospheric conditions convinced Turner that God wanted him to kill his white enemies! About seven months later, on August 21, 1831, he and other slaves attacked and killed 55 white people, including men, women, and children–some as they slept. One victim was a baby in its cradle. Some of the victims were beheaded, including children. The killers used axes, clubs, swords, and guns.

Armed citizens confronted the attackers, and Turner was captured, tried, and executed by hanging after hiding for two months. His corpse was flayed, beheaded, and quartered. It seems the slaveholders wanted to send a message to their slaves.

Mindless, guilt-ridden Whites and gullible Blacks seek to make every Black a hero, but surely, no sane person thinks Turner was anything but a monster.

Another black hero is W. E. B. Du Bois (who insisted on being called “Dr. Du Bois”), an impressive intellectual who, in 1895, was the first Black to earn a Ph.D. from Harvard. He was a founder of the NAACP (most of the executive officers were white) in 1909, and he was hired as editor of their journal The Crisis. Du Bois later resigned (some say he was dismissed) in 1934 over the reversal of his segregation position to accepting the “separate but equal” position as a satisfactory goal for Blacks. He had rejected Frederick Douglass’ plea for black Americans to integrate into white society. He also sparred with Booker T. Washington, the number one black leader in America who was highly respected by Whites and Blacks.

Du Bois thought Booker T. Washington was too slow and patient in dealing with segregation. Washington was an accommodator, and Du Bois was an agitator. Du Bois was an effective advocate for civil rights but leaned far to the left, defending and joining many socialist causes. He taught that capitalism was a major cause of racism. Du Bois was a peace advocate and promoted nuclear disarmament. He began to support the Communist Party and warmed to Marx’s atheism.

Many of Du Bois’ friends and supporters shunned him, especially after the FBI continued to investigate his actions, associates, and his advocacies. He ended up joining the American Communist Party, traveled to Russia and China (becoming their cheerleader), and became a citizen of Ghana, where he died in 1963.

I wonder why the Episcopal leaders did not think it necessary to reveal the full scope of Du Bois’ life. Maybe because of the stories of their own leaders.

Bishop James Pike died a bishop in the Episcopal Church, although he said that he was leaving the denomination. In his personal life, Pike was a chain-smoker and an alcoholic. In theology, he was a heretic even to many conservative Episcopalians. Many heresy charges were brought against him with plenty of facts to substantiate them. The cowardly bishops of the denomination refused to pursue heresy charges. Pike did not believe in Hell, the Trinity, and virgin birth.

Pike was a troubled man all his life. He married Jane Alvies then divorced in 1941. He married Esther Yanovsky in 1942, and she divorced him in 1966. They had four children. Pike lived with (but did not marry) his secretary Maren Bergrud until 1967 when she committed suicide after a heated argument with him. Pike performed her funeral in his church.

In 1968, he married Diane Kennedy and went to Israel on an extended honeymoon. They were researching a book Pike was planning to write. While near the Dead Sea without a guide, they had car trouble, and the couple walked away from the car. Soon, Diane went alone to seek help leaving her husband. She stumbled into workers who took her to safety. Pike’s body was discovered a few days later after an intensive search.

Bishop John Shelby Spong is another Episcopalian leader who is very careful that no one would ever mistake him for a Bible-believer. Of course, he, like Pike and other unbelieving Bishops, makes an excellent living preaching the Bible he does not believe. Such people have plenty of chutzpah but no character. Spong teaches that Christ was “adopted by God as his son” in his Born of a Woman, and He rejects the historical truths essential to Christianity, such as the virgin birth and the bodily resurrection of Christ. Neither does Spong believe that Christ is the only way of salvation. He teaches that the Apostle Paul was a pervert. He believes the creation story is nonsense.

When the Episcopal denomination consecrated homosexual Gene Robinson as a Bishop in 2003, the denomination experienced the “worst single outflow of Episcopalians in modern history,” over 100,000.

They should have lost every genuine Christian, but alas, many Christians don’t know what the Bible teaches, or they don’t care.

Every true Christian should leave every corrupt mainline church because, without truth, all you have is a cult.

She also acknowledged that being a religious professional can lead to conversations that focus narrowly on what she called “hot button” issues such as abortion, which she contends is more complicated than “pro-choice or pro-life.” Her campaign website does not list a formal position on the issue, although she has appeared at protests standing with Iowa abortion rights advocates.

The Iowa State Senate opens each daily session with a prayer. On February 8, State Senator Sarah Trone Garriott (D) “shared a prayer” written by one of her constituents who was a Muslim. The prayer was to Allah and included references to a number of Allah’s 99 Names.[1] It is interesting that the Iowa State Senate prayed to the Muslim god Allah, even though there are no Muslim members of that Senate. And it is even more interesting that these state senators bowed their heads in prayer to a god who curses Christians and Jews and condemns them to Hell.

Here is what Allah has to say in the Koran about Christians and Jews:

Allah states that the only religion acceptable to him is Islam (e.g., 3:19 and 3:85); Christians and Jews are disbelievers^[2] (e.g. 2:120, 3:99, 3:110, and 5:65), and Jews are among the worst enemies of Muslims (5:82); Allah curses Christians and Jews (9:30) and states that those who believe that Allah had a Son commit the one unforgivable sin in Islam, Shirk^[3](e.g. 4:48 and 4:116); Allah states that those who commit Shirk will go to Hell (e.g. 3:151 and 5:72-73); Allah states that Christians and Jews are among the worst of creatures and “will abide in the fire of Hell” (98:6); Allah specifically forbids Muslims from being friends with Christians and Jews (5:51), and instead commands Muslims to fight Christians and Jews (9:29).

Christianity is considered to be a false religion because Allah states that Jesus was not crucified, but it only appeared so (4:157-158). Islam teaches that Allah took Jesus bodily into paradise and made one of Jesus’ disciples look like Jesus; it was that disciple who was crucified. So Muslims who know their religion look at a crucifix or a painting of the Crucifixion and see an imposter hanging on the cross. And of course, if there was no Crucifixion, there was no Resurrection. So Islam teaches that Christianity is a false religion based on a fraud.

According to Koran 4:80, Muhammad spoke for Allah. Here is some of what Muhammad had to say about Christians and Jews:

Christians and Jews will take the place of Muslims in Hell: Abu Burda reported on the authority of his father that Allah’s Apostle (may peace be upon him) said: No Muslim would die but Allah would admit instead of him a Jew or a Christian in Hell-Fire.^[4]
Muhammad said that Christians and Jews who remained with their respective religions and did not believe in Islam would go to Hell: It is narrated on the authority of Abu Huraira that the Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: By Him in whose hand is the life of Muhammad, he who amongst the community of Jews or Christians hears about me but does not affirm his belief in that with which I have been sent and dies in this state (of disbelief), he shall be but one of the denizens of Hell-Fire.^[5]
Muhammad said that Christians and Jews were inferior to Muslims: It was narrated from ‘Amr bin Shu’aib, from his father, from his grandfather, that the Messenger of Allah ruled that the blood money for the People of the Book is half of that of the blood money for the Muslims, and they are the Jews and Christians.[6]
Muhammad said Muslims must not be the first to greet Christians and Jews: Abu Huraira reported that Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) had said: Do not greet the Jews and the Christians before they greet you and when you meet any one of them on the roads force him to go to the narrowest part of it.[7]
And on his death bed Muhammad had this to say: It has been narrated by ‘Umar b. Al-Khattab that he heard the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) saying: I will expel the Jews and Christians from the Arabian Peninsula and will not leave any but Muslims.^[8]

Here is what Allah’s prophet Muhammad specifically said about Jews:

Kill the Jews: Narrated Abu Hurairah: Allah’s Messenger said, “The Hour will not be established until you fight against the Jews, and the stone behind which a Jew will be hiding will say, ‘O Muslim! There is a Jew hiding behind me, so kill him.’”^[9]
Muhammad said the Jews were grave robbers. Al-Bukhari reported this hadith under the heading of What has been said about Bani Israel: ‘Uqba bin ‘Amir said, “I heard him [Muhammad] saying that the Israeli used to dig the grave of the dead (to steal their shrouds).”^[10]
Muhammad even said that Jews would be accompanying the anti-Christ: Anas b. Malik reported that Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) said: The antichrist would be followed by seventy thousand Jews of Isbahan wearing Persian shawls.^[11]

This was not the first time the Iowa State Senate had opened a session by praying to Allah. On April 7, 2014, the opening prayer for the Senate that day was given by Des Moines Imam Mohammad Khan. In Arabic Khan recited the first chapter of the Koran – Al-Fatihah (this was confirmed by a native Arabic speaker).[12]

Al-Fatihah consists of only seven verses. Let’s focus on the last two verses. In Verse 6 Muslims ask to be guided to the Straight Way. Allah’s prophet Muhammad said the Straight Way (or Path) was Islam.^[13] The modern Tafsir Ahsanul-Bayan explained the meaning of the Straight Path:

The Straight Path here means the religion of Islam as enshrined, enunciated and explained in the final Revelation, the Qur’an, and the authentic sayings and acts of Allah’s Messenger, called hadeeth.^[14]

In Verse 7, Muslims then ask not to be guided to the way of those who have earned Allah’s anger or to the way of those who have gone astray. So who are those who have earned the anger of Allah? Allah’s prophet Muhammad said they were the Jews.^[15] And who has gone astray? Allah’s prophet Muhammad said that those who had gone astray, or were misguided, were the Christians.^[16]

The Muslim scholar Ibn Kathir explained these two deviations from the Straight Way:

These two paths are the paths of the Christians and Jews, a fact that the believer [Muslim] should beware of so that he avoids them. The path of the believers is knowledge of the truth and abiding by it. In comparison, the Jews abandoned practicing the religion, while the Christians lost the true knowledge. This is why ‘anger’ descended upon the Jews, while being described as ‘led astray’ is more appropriate of the Christians…We should also mention that both the Christians and the Jews have earned the anger [of Allah] and are led astray, but the anger is one of the attributes more particular of the Jews.^[17]

So Allah is actually angry with both the Jews and Christians!

On two different occasions now the members of the Iowa State Senate have bowed their heads and prayed to Allah, the god of Islam, who curses the Christian and Jewish senators in that body and condemns them to Hell. It takes some thick skin to be a Christian or Jewish elected official in the Iowa State Senate.

In another hadith, Muhammad said that the Jews would hide behind stones and trees, and these stones and trees would call out,

Muslim, or the servant of Allah, there is a Jew behind me; come and kill him; but the tree Gharqad would not say, for it is the tree of the Jews.
