Hungary: Pope urges Orban to take in more migrants, ‘opening ourselves to the thirst of men and women of our time’

Orban, in response, noted that today’s migrants “are all Muslims” and said: “I asked Pope Francis not to let Christian Hungary perish.”

But the Pope doesn’t care about Christian Hungary. He sees no obligation to open himself to the thirst of the natives of Europe who want to be safe from jihad and Islamization. His pastoral concern is strictly one-sided.

“Pope urges Orban’s Hungary to be more open to needy outsiders,” by Philip Pullella and Gergely Szakacs, Reuters, September 13, 2021 (thanks to Henry):

Budapest: Pope Francis said on Sunday that Hungary could preserve its Christian roots while opening up to the needy, an apparent response to nationalist Prime Minister Viktor Orban’s stand that Muslim immigration could destroy its heritage.

Francis was in Hungary for an unusually short stay that underlined differences with the anti-immigrant Orban, his political opposite.

Closing a Church congress with a Mass for tens of thousands of people in central Budapest, Francis used the imagery of a cross to show that something as deeply rooted as religious belief did not exclude a welcoming attitude.

“The cross, planted in the ground, not only invites us to be well-rooted, it also raises and extends its arms towards everyone,” he said in his remarks after the Mass.

“The cross urges us to keep our roots firm, but without defensiveness; to draw from the wellsprings, opening ourselves to the thirst of the men and women of our time,” he said at the end of the open-air Mass, which Orban attended with his wife.

“My wish is that you be like that: grounded and open, rooted and considerate,” the Pope said.

Francis has often denounced what he sees as a resurgence of nationalist and populist movements, and has called for European unity, and criticised countries that try to solve the migration crisis with unilateral or isolationist actions.

Orban, by contrast, told the Bled Strategic Forum in Slovenia last week the only solution to migration was for the European Union to “give all rights back to the nation state”.

The Pope has called for migrants to be welcomed and integrated to tackle what he has called Europe’s “demographic winter”. Orban said in Slovenia that today’s migrants “are all Muslims” and that only “the traditional Christian family policy can help us out of that demographic crisis”….

“I asked Pope Francis not to let Christian Hungary perish,” Orban said on Facebook. Hungarian news agency MTI said Orban gave Francis a facsimile of a letter that 13th century King Bela IV sent to Pope Innocent IV asking for help in fighting the Tartars….

Biden to Send $64,000,000 to Taliban Before Getting All Americans Out~CARRIES OUT POPE’S WISHES

BIDEN CARRIES OUT THE POPE'S WISHES

In mid-August,  I predicted that Biden would end up funding the Taliban through a humanitarian aid channel.

Understand that this is not a question of ‘if’ this will happen, but when.

Going forward, you will see more stories about the “humanitarian catastrophe” in Afghanistan and, just as in Yemen, claims of famine, orchestrated by the same media that spread this same propaganda about Iran’s Houthi proxies in Yemen.

Aid groups will function under the Taliban, they will pay protection money to them (while swearing up and down on a stack of Das Kapitals that they’re not) and we’ll end up funding them.

Now it’s officially happening.

Today, the United States announced nearly $64 million in additional humanitarian assistance for the people of Afghanistan. This funding from the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) and the U.S. Department of State will flow through independent organizations, such as UN agencies and NGOs, and provide life-saving support directly to Afghans facing the compounding effects of insecurity, conflict, recurring natural disasters, and the COVID-19 pandemic.

It was naive to believe Biden would get all Americans out of Afghanistan before sending millions to the Taliban.

USAID and the media are vocally insisting that the money is going “directly to Afghans” and not to the Taliban. Or rather it will go to the UN and various NGOs which will predictably pay the Taliban protection money.

The idea that the UN is an honest broker that won’t be entangled in dealing with terrorists is a sick joke when you consider that UNRWA in Gaza is pretty much Hamas.

As I noted in, Biden Tried to Send Pallets of Cash to the Taliban as Kabul Fell, the Taliban made more money from taxing deliveries than drugs.

One expert estimated that at the peak of Obama and Biden’s Afghanistan surge, “the Taliban’s ‘taxes’ on truckers supplying NATO likely even surpassed the Taliban’s income from drugs, being tens of millions of dollars at least, maybe up to $100 million annually.”

The Taliban were already taxing NGOs.

This past spring, Taliban representatives, not just in Kandahar but also around the country, began asking demining and other NGOs to register with their own NGO commission, and to share the details of the finances of their projects.

Foreign aid to Afghanistan is terror funding. And it must be stopped.

Popular Worship Leader Ignites Furor For Heretical Tweet Saying ‘Buddha,’ ‘Muhammad’ And ‘You’ Are ‘Christ’

LTRJ Note: In 2012, Lighthouse Trails tried to warn the church about the contemplative-promoting band, Gungor, in our article titled Tens of Thousands Introduced to Contemplative Advocates Gungor and David Crowder at Greg Laurie’s Harvest Crusade. Our warning was ignored by Christian leaders such as Greg Laurie and certain other large Calvary Chapel churches. As for Michael Gungor, we do not find it surprising that after practicing contemplative prayer all these years, he moved into the interspiritual (i.e., all paths lead to God) camp. As Ray Yungen pointed out so succinctly, this is the “natural” course contemplative practitioners tragically take. And this is why, after nearly 20 years, Lighthouse Trails continues warning the church about occultic mystical practices such as centering prayer and contemplative spirituality.

Michael Gungor

republished below in full unedited for informational, educational & research purposes:

Thousands of people responded to a tweet by Michael Gungor, the lead singer of the famous band Gungor, on Friday, July 23. The post drew widespread criticism because it asserted that, although Jesus is the Christ, so are Buddha, Muhammad, people, and the church.

Several readers interpreted Michael Gungor's tweet as a universalist statement. The text of Gungor's tweet stated: "Jesus was Christ. Buddha was Christ. Muhammad was Christ. Christ is a word for the Universe seeing itself. You are Christ. We are the body of Christ."

Gungor expressed gratitude for the kind responses to his tweet, writing, "Thanks for all the thoughtful replies everyone."

Then, in support of what he tweeted, he suggested that everyone read Richard Rohr's book "The Universal Christ" and listen to his Liturgists podcast, where he claims they discussed the topic in depth.

His counter-argument and "freedom to question things"

Happy that his post sparked so much discussion on what he meant by "Christ," a subject he thinks is essential, the musician went live on Instagram to dissect his tweet in more detail and answer questions from fans.

"Christ is a word for the universe, seeing itself. You are Christ's. We are the body of Christ," he said in his Instagram Live video.

Following the "met with fury" reaction to his tweet, Gungor stated that although he was raised Christian, the "concept of Christ" and the meaning of the term "Christ" were not discussed in-depth or on a consistent basis.

Thus, he believes that the book "The Universal Christ," which he recommended people read in his tweet, is an excellent introduction to the topic.

Gungor then responded to those who claimed his tweet was "unorthodox to mainstream historical Christianity," saying he's "guilty as charged."

But he went on to clarify that those accusations relating to historical mainstream Christianity don't bother him in the least.

"For a number of reasons, historical mainstream Christianity is the force in the world that, (I'm not going to say it) doesn't have any good or that it doesn't have any worth. But it is the force in the world that is responsible for the Inquisition, Manifest Destiny, all sorts of colonialism and genocide, sexism, patriarchy, homophobia, ecology, violence, and countless other evils. I'm not too worried about being unorthodox to the power systems of Christianity, to be honest with you," he said.

He went on to say that orthodoxy caused him to feel alienated from the body of Christ, but that he quickly discovered the "freedom to question things" and began "moving away from those things."

"I'm not claiming that my take on what Christ is, is what most Christians have said," he continued. "If you are concerned about that, you should call me a heretic, and I will accept your accusation."

In response to the criticism that he was abusing the term "Christ," Gungor stated that he is more interested in the "traditional use of the word Christ as a concept" rather than as "the last name of Jesus" or as a "political flag for our team."

"I think it ought to mean something bigger. I think it ought to mean something universal for the sake, not only of individual practice. I think it makes the concept of Christ and the practice of this unity incredibly more powerful," he said.

"I think it's less violent to find the more broader universal understanding of the word Christ that doesn't leave us in the seat of colonizers of culture, of ideas of religion, of spirituality, of metaphysical land like I was saying before," he added.

As for comparing Christianity to other faiths such as Buddhism or Islam, Gungor said that he is not "flattening the important distinctions of other traditions," but rather "honoring" the "specificity of the traditions."

He emphasized the principles of loving one another, as well as the fact that "unity" in the Body of Christ does not imply "uniformity," but rather allows for some "distinctions."

Flat-out error

Prophetic minister Jennifer LeClaire, in an article in Charisma, pointed out how Michael Gungor has "become the latest Christian celebrity to denounce Christ," with his wife following him.

"Blasphemy! This is a doctrine of demons!" LeClaire wrote in response to Gungor's tweet.

LeClaire, founder of the Awakening House of Prayer (AHOP) said the worship singer is "not the first" to fall away from the faith, as a "growing number of 'visible' Christians have turned their back on Christ."

"Don't ignore the signs of the times. In His discussions on the end of the age, Jesus warned us not to let anyone deceive us (Matt. 24)," LeClaire wrote.

"If it weren't possible to get caught up in the great falling away, Jesus wouldn't have issued such a strong warning to His followers and left a record of it for you and me."

"Christ" in the orthodox Christian tradition

According to Christian News Now, the term "Christ" is derived from the Greek word Christos, which translates as "anointed one." The Hebrew term for "anointed one" is "Mashiach," which translates as "Messiah."

Those searching for the Messiah described in Old Testament texts like as Daniel 9:25-26, Isaiah 32:1, and Isaiah 61:1 recognized Jesus as "Jesus the Messiah" or "Jesus the Anointed One."

This indicates there is only one Christ -one Messiah- and He is Jesus, the Son of God.

Pope Francis: ‘Tear Down the Walls’ against Islam!

Only your walls, not his.

BY RAYMOND IBRAHIM

SEE: https://www.frontpagemag.com/fpm/2021/06/pope-francis-tear-down-walls-against-islam-raymond-ibrahim/;

republished below in full unedited for informational, educational & research purposes:

Raymond Ibrahim is a Shillman Fellow at the David Horowitz Freedom Center.

Pope Francis wants any and all walls, real or figurative, that stand between the West and Islam broken down immediately—or so he’s constantly saying.

Most recently, on Sunday, June 13, 2021, he called for the “growth of a more supportive humanity that tears down the wall of indifference.”  This was spoken in the context of urging Europeans to take in more illegally arrived Muslim migrants.

Earlier, in March 2019, when asked  “a question about migration in general and about U.S. President Donald Trump’s then threat to shut down the southern border with Mexico,” the pope pontificated in platitudes: “Builders of walls,” he said, “be they made of razor wire or bricks, will end up becoming prisoners of the walls they build….  With fear, we will not move forward, with walls, we will remain closed within these walls.”

Less than a week before that, Francis lectured the mayor of Rome about the need to be more welcoming to Muslim migrants. “Rome,” he declared, “a hospitable city, is called to face this epochal challenge [floods of Muslim migrants demanding entry] in the wake of its noble history; to use its energies to welcome and integrate, to transform tensions and problems into opportunities for meeting and growth.”

“Rome,” he exulted, “city of bridges, never walls!”

The grand irony of all this is that Pope Francis lives in the only state to be surrounded by walls—Vatican City—and most of these bastions were erected to ward off ongoing Islamic invasions.

In 846, for example, a Muslim fleet from North Africa consisting of 73 ships and 11,000 Muslims, landed in Ostia near Rome.  Muslim merchants who frequently visited Italy had provided them with precise intelligence that made the raid a success.  Although they were unable to breach the preexisting walls of the Eternal City, they sacked and despoiled the surrounding countryside, including—to the consternation of Christendom—the venerated and centuries-old basilicas of St. Peter and St. Paul.  The Muslim invaders desecrated the tombs of the revered apostles and stripped them of all their treasures.

Pope Leo IV (847-855) responded by building many more walls, including fifteen bastions along the right bank of the Tiber River, the mouth of which was forthwith closed with a chain to protect the sacred sites from further Muslim raids and desecrations.  Completed by 852, the walls were in places 40 feet high and 12 feet thick.

Further anticipating the crusades against Islam by over two centuries—and thus showing how they were a long time coming—Pope Leo (and after him Pope John VIII) offered the remission of sins for those Christians who died fighting Islamic invaders.  Such was the existential and ongoing danger Muslims referred to in contemporary sources as “Sons of Satan,” caused for Europe—more than two centuries before the First Crusade was launched in 1095.

Indeed, just three years after the initial Muslim invasion of Rome, “in 849 the Muslims attempted a new landing at Ostia; then, every year from around 857 on, they threatened the Roman seaboard,” explains French medieval historian C. E. Dufourcq:

In order to get rid of them, Pope John VIII  decided in 878 to promise them an annual payment [or jizya] of several thousand gold pieces; but this tribute of the Holy See to Islam seems to have been paid for only two years; and from time to time until the beginning of the tenth century, the Muslims reappeared at the mouth of the Tiber or along the coast nearby.

Today, many Muslims, not just of the ISIS-variety, continue to boast that Islam will conquer Rome, the only of five ancient apostolic sees never to have been subjugated by jihad (unlike Antioch, Alexandria, Jerusalem, and Constantinople).

Similarly, many Muslims all throughout Europe continue exhibiting the same hostility and contempt for all things and persons non-Islamic, whether by vandalizing churches and breaking crosses or by raping “infidel” women as theirs by right

And that is the point that Pope Francis—whose own ancient city would never have lasted to the present if not for walls—misses: walls should only go down and bridges should only be extended when both parties are willing to live in amicable peace. Otherwise, they serve only to make the destructive work of those who have for centuries been trying to conquer and destroy in the name of Islam that much easier.

COMMUNIST Pope “FRANCIS” Scolds “Inflexible” Christians

Pope Francis: You Can Recognize False Christians by Their ‘Inflexibility’

Pope Francis talks to nine newly-ordained priests as they pose for a group photo, asking them them to take off their face mask, at the end of an ordination mass on April 25, 2021 at St. Peter's Basilica in The Vatican, during which Pope Francis ordained nine new priests for …

ROME — Pope Francis warned Wednesday against Christians who are overly attached to tradition and “disturb communities” through their inflexibility.

There is no shortage of preachers today who, especially through the new means of communication, “disturb communities,” the pope said during his weekly General Audience. “They present themselves not primarily to announce the Gospel of God who loves men in Jesus, Crucified and Risen, but to insist, as true ‘keepers of the truth’ — so they call themselves — on the best way to be Christians.”

This sort of people “strongly affirm that the true Christianity is the one they adhere to, often identified with certain forms of the past and that the solution to the crises of today is to go back so as not to lose the genuineness of the faith,” Francis said.

As he has done on numerous occasions, the pope warned against conservative Christians who cling to past traditions and do not accept the freedom the gospel offers.

Today “there is a temptation to close oneself up in some of the certainties acquired in past traditions,” the pontiff said. “But how can we recognize these people? For example, one of the traces of this way of proceeding is inflexibility.”

“Faced with the preaching of the Gospel that makes us free, that makes us joyful, these people are rigid,” he said. “Always the rigidity: you must do this, you must do that… Inflexibility is typical of these people.”

The Apostle Paul indicated the way forward is “the liberating and ever-new path of Jesus, Crucified and Risen,” Francis said.

It is “the path of proclamation, which is achieved through humility and fraternity — the new preachers do not know what humility is, what fraternity is,” he asserted.

“It is the path of meek and obedient trust — the new preachers know neither meekness nor obedience,” he concluded. “And this meek and obedient way leads forward in the certainty that the Holy Spirit works in the Church in every age.”

Francis Chan’s Dangerous Path to “Unity” and a Eucharistic Christ

BY L. SHARP

SEE: https://www.lighthousetrailsresearch.com/newsletters/2021/newsletter20210623.htm;

republished below in full unedited for informational, educational & research purposes:

I am writing to address two related topics:

1)    Francis Chan’s new book released 4/1/21 titled Until Unity

2)    Francis Chan’s conversation with Hank Hanegraaff and KP Yohannan regarding Chan’s changing views on the so-called “Eucharist” (Aug. 2020 video on Hank Hanegraaff’s program).

I.  Francis Chan’s website about his new book Until Unity

Francis Chan released his new book in April 2021 titled Until Unity. Why does this matter? Sadly, there is growing evidence that Chan has slowly turned away from the Bible as the source of truth and doctrine to church tradition, the opinions of men, and experiences to reformulate his theology.

Francis Chan’s own website explains his new book (see https://untilunitybook.com/):

CHURCH UNITY IS NOT OPTIONAL

. . . New York Times–bestselling author Francis Chan challenges us to see what keeps us from being unified as Christians across denominations and cultural differences—and why it needs to change.

. . . It’s clear from Scripture that God desires unity for His Church. Unity is what Jesus prays for, what He commands, and what He says will be the chief argument for unbelieving people coming to know God.

But if unity is that important to the heart of God, and that critical to the mission of the church, then why isn’t it something the Church fiercely fights for and passionately pursues?

We divide easily because we love shallowly.

. . . Francis Chan [says] doctrine is not at the root of most division [emphasis added].

The main problem is the shallowness or non-existence of our love for each other . . . Those who are believers will hear the call and be eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit. This will be messy and painful, but we cannot allow this to discourage us from giving everything we have to the pursuit of a unified, restored Bride.

My comments:

Chan sidesteps the issue of doctrine (in the issue of “unity”) and claims the main problem is “the shallowness or non-existence of our love for each other,” so he can base his whole argument for “unity” solely on his “love” (or lack thereof) premise. If he would admit that doctrine does divide, then in his attempt to tell us how “unity” is achieved, he would have to deal with doctrine at some level. Yet, he dismisses doctrine from the start so he can talk about “love” or lack thereof and its role in achieving or not achieving “unity” and skip discussing specific doctrines(s) altogether.

What does the Bible say about the importance of doctrine?

2 Timothy 3:16 – All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

Titus 2:1 – But speak thou the things which become sound doctrine:

1 John 4:1 – Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

Hebrews 13:9 – Be not carried about with divers and strange doctrines. For it is a good thing that the heart be established with grace; not with meats, which have not profited them that have been occupied therein.

Ephesians 4:14 – That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;

Titus 1:9 – Holding fast the faithful word as he hath been taught, that he may be able by sound doctrine both to exhort and to convince the gainsayers.

2 Timothy 2:15 – Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Further Comment on Chan’s new book:

The dedication of Chan’s book reads: “This book is dedicated to the followers of Jesus from various denominations who have forgiven me for my arrogance and divisiveness over the years.”

II. Francis Chan’s March 11, 2021 YouTube video about his new book Until Unity

On Francis Chan’s Mar.11, 2021 short YouTube video advertising his new book, he talks about the need for unity, and at the very end, he quotes Eph.4:11-13, but he leaves out the next 3 verses (vs.14-16), which defines what unity is!

Here is the full context of how the Bible defines “unity” in Ephesians 4:1-16:

1 I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called,

2 With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love;

3 Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.

4 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;

5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism,

6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.

7 But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.

8 Wherefore he saith, ‘When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.

9 (Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth?

10 He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.)’

11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;

12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:

13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:

Here are the verses Francis Chan left out in his video–Vs.14-16—

14 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;

15 But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:

16 From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.

Here are some observations about “unity” from Eph.4:13-15 (left out by Francis Chan):

1)    According to verses 13 and 14, the goal of biblical unity is so we would “be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;”

2)    According to verse 15, biblical unity/”unity of the faith, involves “speaking the truth in love,” not just to “love” (in an experiential sense). “Speaking the truth in love,” the verse goes on, so that we may “grow up into him in all things.” Biblical unity involves “speaking the truth in love,” and by this, we grow up spiritually. Love without truth is not biblical love. And truth is about what the Bible teaches (i.e. doctrine).

III. Francis Chan, Hank Hanegraaff, KP Yohannan and the “Eucharist”

An Aug.18, 2020 video titled, “Is Christ Present in the Eucharist” reveals more of Francis Chan’s slide away from the truth of the Bible and his associations with men who have also turned away from the Bible.

At the urging of Hank Hanegraaff and KP Yohannan, Chan was challenged to reevaluate his view of church history and of communion (their meaning – Eucharist) verified in the video.

In the video, Francis Chan talks about reevaluating his view of communion, or the so-called Eucharist, and Hank Hanegraaff and KP Yohannan briefly discuss how they themselves formulated their current views about the Eucharist. Before discussing the contents of this Aug.18, 2020 video, I wanted to familiarize you with Hank Hanegraaff and KP Yohannan.

1)Hank Hanegraaff

Hank Hanegraaff is known to millions through his former radio program, “The Bible Answer Man.” He converted to Eastern Orthodoxy in April of 2017 in the Saint Nektarios Greek Orthodox Church in Charlotte, North Carolina. His former radio program “The Bible Answer Man” has now been changed to “Hank Unplugged,” and in his latest book (released in 2019 by Thomas Nelson Publishers) titled Truth Matters, Life Matters More, he explains his Eastern Orthodox conversion (see link: https://www.thomasnelson.com/9780785216063/truth-matters-life-matters-more/).

The list of those who endorsed Hanegraaff’s book include Catholics, Eastern Orthodox folks, and most notably, Scott Hahn, Ph.D., Chair of Biblical Theology and the New Evangelization at Franciscan University of Steubenville. [Hahn, who converted from Protestantism to Catholicism, is discussed in Roger Oakland’s book, Another Jesus: The eucharist Christ and the new evangelization.]

The buzzword: “New Evangelization” is defined by Lighthouse Trails writer Kevin Reeves as: “A program by the Catholic Church designed to win the world to Christ [the Catholic Eucharistic christ, that is], with the Eucharist as the focal point.”

Please see Lighthouse Trails booklet by Roger Oakland titled: The New Evangelization From Rome

2)KP Yohannan

He is the founder and director of Gospel for Asia (GFA). According to his own website (see link: https://kpyohannan.org/about-kp-yohannan/), he has written over 200 books in Asia, and 11 in the U.S.

Lighthouse Trails has confirmed KP Yohannan’s slide into contemplative spirituality (a spiritual outlook that incorporates a New Age style mystical meditation) via his 2020 book: Never Give Up.

That book, by the way, was also endorsed by Hank Hanegraaff.

IV.  August 18, 2020 YouTube video: “Is Christ Present in the Eucharist?” With Francis Chan, Hank Hanegraaff, and KP Yohannan

The Aug.18, 2020 video “Is Christ Present in the Eucharist” reveals just how much Chan has turned away from the Bible he claims he believes in to church tradition and the opinions of men. Also, this trio together are contributing to the demonic momentum toward the movement of biblical Christians into an unbiblical view of communion (what is being called the Eucharist).

1)    “Eucharist”? Why is Francis Chan even calling the communion “the Eucharist”?

Kevin Reeves, in his booklet: C is for Catholicism, defines Eucharist as: “the sacrament of the partaking of the Communion wafer and wine consecrated by the priest during the [Catholic] Mass. Believed to impart special grace, because the recipient is said to be eating and drinking the actual body and blood of Christ.”

At the urging of Hank Hanegraaff and KP Yohannan, Chan was challenged to reevaluate his view of church history and of communion (i..e., the Eucharist).

2)What did the August 2020  video reveal?

Francis Chan on the so-called “Eucharist”

He seems to think he has misjudged folks who believe in “transubstantiation.” What is transubstantiation? Kevin Reeves defines “transubstantiation” as: “The doctrine that asserts that during the Mass, the Host (the communion wafer) and the communion wine are transformed miraculously into the literal body and blood of Christ.”

Chan ends up opening the door about his view on the Eucharist and admits: “[I] don’t know where I land yet” (23:26 minute mark). He states that he “used to” (keywords are “used to”) view those who believed in transubstantiation as “almost silly” or “heretical” (2:07-2:26 minute mark) but not anymore apparently.

*Note: on p. 101 of his new book: Until Unity, Chan states: “I am currently 90 percent sure that I have been wrong about my belief that Christ is not present in the Eucharist” [emphasis added]

3)    Final thoughts about Francis Chan, the “Eucharist” and his new book: Until Unity:

May we pray for Francis Chan, that God would open his eyes to the Enemy’s deceptions. And, may God help rescue those sheep who are following Francis Chan and being led down a deceptive path of the Enemy.

God is Faithful and True, and His Word is true,

Pope Francis renews his call for tearing down of ‘walls of indifference’ toward Muslim migrants

Despite the societal maladies associated with unvetted Muslim migration, including no-go zones, surges in crime, rape gangs, jihad threats, jihad preaching and the like, Pope Francis is a foremost defender of facilitating illegal Muslim migration. He has now renewed his call for “tearing down the walls of indifference” toward migrants but appears indifferent to the multitudes who have fallen victim to many of the migrants. The Pope zeroed in on a shipwreck that claimed the lives of 700 African migrants who willingly tried to cross over illegally into Europe. Many of these ships are operated by people smugglers; this particular ship was “skippered by Mohammed Ali Malek, a member of a network of Libyan people smugglers, who received a jail sentence of 18 years for multiple charges of manslaughter.” The Pope wants to see any and everyone be given a big welcome into the EU no matter who they are, all while he remains secured behind the walls of the Vatican and under tight security when he leaves.

Pope Francis has also said such things as “migrants are like Jesus, forced to flee” and “migrants are warriors of hope.” He compared populists to Hitler for trying to protect their sovereign borders while calling for open doors to ALL migrants. He has also called for the “establishment of pathways” for hundreds of thousands of Muslim migrants to settle in Europe.

“Pope Francis Calls for Tearing Down ‘Walls of Indifference’ Toward Migrants,” by Thomas D. Williams, Breitbart, June 13, 2021:

ROME, Italy — Pope Francis has called for people to become “more supportive” in welcoming migrants trying to cross the Mediterranean Sea from Africa into Europe.

Following his weekly Angelus address in Saint Peter’s Square Sunday, the pope remarked on a ceremony taking place in Augusta, Sicily, to welcome the arrival of the remains of the boat from the massive shipwreck of April 18, 2015 that claimed the lives of some 700 African migrants.

“May this symbol of so many tragedies in the Mediterranean Sea continue to challenge everyone’s conscience and foster the growth of a more supportive humanity, that tears down the wall of indifference,” the pontiff told the crowds.

“Let us think: the Mediterranean has become Europe’s largest cemetery,” he said.

Only 28 people survived the 2015 shipwreck, skippered by Mohammed Ali Malek, a member of a network of Libyan people smugglers, who received a jail sentence of 18 years for multiple charges of manslaughter.

As captain of the vessel, the 27-year-old Malek, a Tunisian, reportedly caused the disastrous collision with a Portuguese ship that had come to its rescue, which led to the shipwreck.

The BBC noted that Malek followed “the regular procedure for migrant boats making the long crossing,” namely, to place a distress call with the Italian coast guard in Rome asking for rescue once the vessel was in international waters.

In those years, the Italians’ willingness to provide a free shuttle service to migrants provided an incentive to many to undertake the perilous journey, causing the deaths of thousands.

In 2017, Frontex, the border control agency of the European Union (EU), released a report revealing that NGOs had been complicit with human traffickers by offering a taxi service from North Africa to Italy.

NGOs engaged in maritime rescue operations “help criminals achieve their objectives at minimum cost, strengthen their business model by increasing the chances of success,” the report stated.

The Italian prosecutor, Carmelo Zuccaro, said at the time that whether or not the organizations in question are operating out of philanthropic motives, “the facilitation of illegal immigration is a punishable offense regardless of the intention.”

Migrant sea deaths in the Mediterranean did not begin falling until 2018, following the election of a center-right government with stricter immigration policies.

According to a report at the time from the Italian daily La Verità, “the Salvini method works,” referring to border controls by interior minister Matteo Salvini, who had insisted that open ports fuel human trafficking and encourage migrants to undertake dangerous sea crossings.

There had been no solution under the former Matteo Renzi government, the newspaper noted, since he tried passed the buck to the European Union and wrung his hands when the EU did absolutely nothing to resolve the problem…..

Rome’s Rejection of the Christian Faith~Catholicism’s Opposition to the Bible

Rome's Rejection of the Christian Faith
It is outrageous that so many of our evangelical leaders continue to promote unity with the apostate Roman Catholic Church. Rather than identify it as a huge mission field of 1.3 billion precious souls, they embrace it as a Christian denomination made up of brothers and sisters in Christ. Tragically, their fallacious position discourages their followers from evangelizing Catholics. We must set the record straight! Catholics need to be evangelized because their religion has rejected the Christian faith.
Rome Rejects the Supremacy of God's Word
God has exalted His name and His Word above all things (Ps. 138:2). “All Scripture is inspired by God and beneficial for teaching, for rebuke, for correction, for training in righteousness” (2 Tim. 3:16). Those who reject or dismiss God’s Word as their supreme authority fall into serious error and peril. Rome has done this by elevating its ungodly traditions, which have evolved over 1600 years, to be equal in authority with Scripture. Rome teaches that "Sacred Tradition and Sacred Scripture make up a single sacred deposit of the Word of God."
Rome Rejects the Sufficiency of God's Son
Jesus is sufficient to save sinners completely by the offering of Himself once, for all sin, for all time (Heb. 7:25-27; 10:10; 14, 18). His blood is sufficient to purify every believer from every sin. His death is sufficient to cancel the eternal sin debt of every believer (Col. 2:14; 1 John 1:7). Rome rejects the sufficiency of Christ by continuing the work of redemption through the sacrifice of the Mass, and by promoting the fable of purgatory and the sacerdotal priesthood.
Rome Rejects the Singularity of God's Gospel
God's one and only Gospel offers salvation by grace apart from merit, through faith in Christ alone, apart from works, according to Scripture alone (Eph. 2:8-9; 1 Cor. 15:1-4; Titus 3:5). Rome rejects this Gospel and offers a distorted gospel which brings condemnation on those who teach it (Gal. 1:6-9). Rome's gospel requires Catholics to receive sacraments, observe the commandments, partake in the Eucharist, do good works, and obtain indulgences. Any perversion of the Gospel is ultimately the Devil's delusion, which keeps his captives in religious bondage (2 Tim. 2:24-26).
Rome Rejects the Sovereignty of God's Grace
Clearly it is the will of God, not man's will, that determines who will be born again and graciously adopted into the Father's eternal family (John 1:12-13). Yet, Rome rejects God's sovereignty by teaching it is the will of man through water baptism that determines who will be born of God. Rome says, "Baptism... makes the neophyte a new creature, an adopted son of God ... and co-heir with Him."
Rome Rejects the Security of God's Children
The promise of God's Gospel is eternal life which is upheld by the power of God (1 Pet. 1:3-5). The Lord Jesus promises to keep those He has saved (John 6:37-39). This divine gift of eternal life can never be lost or revoked (John 10:28; Rom. 11:29). Rome rejects this assurance by saying those justified by water baptism who die in mortal sin will go to hell.
Hopefully, this article will encourage Christians to recognize the urgent need to evangelize Catholics with the supreme authority of God's Word and His glorious Gospel of grace!

Catholicism's Opposition to the Bible
Our Rome vs. the Bible Gospel tract was initially published to educate evangelicals that the Roman Catholic Church represents a neglected mission field that needs to be evangelized. Due to all the unity accords between evangelicals and Catholics, most Christians think Catholics are our brothers in Christ and do not need to be evangelized. This Gospel tract identifies 13 biblical doctrines that the apostate church of Rome opposes and rejects. It has been used effectively to set Catholics free from the bondage of religious deception.
Over 600,000 evangelicals have now signed the Manhattan Declaration that calls for unity among Orthodox, Catholics, and Evangelical Christians in defense of the unborn, the sanctity of marriage and religious liberty. While the cause is good and noble, the false unity of apostate Christians with evangelicals is strictly forbidden in Scripture (2 Cor. 6:14-18). The document states that "We act together in obedience to the one true God." Yet, Catholics have blatantly disobeyed the command of Jesus to repent and believe His Gospel. (Mark 1:15). Catholics need to be evangelized, yet this unity accord declares they already share a common faith in the Gospel of Christ.

Vatican hails Berlin interfaith shrine containing synagogue, church and mosque

The non-Muslims involved in this project have no idea of how they’re being played, and would accuse anyone who tried to explain it to them of “Islamophobia.”

Here is the full statement I sent to Church Militant:

This is a deceptive project that will not lead to any good outcome. It is a manifestation of this Qur’an verse: “And do not argue with the People of the Book except in a way that is best, except for those who commit injustice among them, and say, ‘We believe in that which has been revealed to us and revealed to you. And our God and your God is one; and we are Muslims to Him.” (Qur’an 29:46)

This may appear to be a generous statement of interfaith understanding, but it is actually an example of Islamic proselytizing. Muslim Brotherhood theorist Sayyid Qutb explained what is behind it: “The chasm between Islam and Jahiliyyah [the society of unbelievers] is great, and a bridge is not to be built across it so that the people on the two sides may mix with each other, but only so that the people of Jahiliyyah may come over to Islam.” Dialogue, in other words, is a means of dawah, Islamic proselytizing, not a genuine discussion or exchange. The proclamation that we all believe in the same God is a prelude to the appeal to accept Muhammad as a prophet and the Qur’an as a holy book.

Meanwhile, in this building, presumably the Gospel will be proclaimed, as well as the Qur’an. In the Qur’an, the Virgin Mary gives birth to Jesus, but it is stated that he is not the Son of God (19:35), not divine (5:17), and was not crucified (4:157), and thus could not be and is not the savior and redeemer of the world. This will be a decidedly mixed message. If past experience of “interfaith dialogue” is any guide, it will be resolved by the Christians toning down proclamation of the distinctive aspects of their faith so as to avoid offending the Muslims. This will make their proclamation closer to Islam in its character, as all will be left will be a declaration of monotheism and little else, and this will be viewed by the Muslim party as a victory of their proselytizing and sign of the submission of the Christians required in Qur’an 9:29.

Nothing will be said of Muslim persecution of Christians. Bishop Robert McManus of Worcester, Massachusetts even said explicitly a few years ago that he didn’t want to have a public discussion of Muslim persecution of Christians for fear that it would harm Muslim-Christian dialogue. That epitomizes the futility and self-defeating nature of this dialogue. It won’t save a single Christian from persecution or a single church from being destroyed. This interfaith “temple” will make the Jews and Christians feel good about their openness and generosity, and the Muslims think they’re making progress in proselytizing. It will fuel all the worst impulses in Islam for supremacism and the superseding of Judaism and Christianity.

“Berlin Builds Rome-Backed Interfaith Shrine,” by Jules Gomes, ChurchMilitant.com, May 27, 2021:

BERLIN (ChurchMilitant.com) – In a historic first Thursday, a coalition of Jews, Christians and Muslims laid the foundation stone of a 47-million-euro interfaith shrine on the ruins of the 12th century St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Berlin.

Hailed by the Vatican as a “house of prayer bringing the three world religions together under one roof,” but slammed by faithful Catholics as “gnostic” and “syncretistic,” the House of One anticipates Pope Francis’ own pet project of an Abrahamic House.

The federal and state governments are pouring 30 million euro of taxpayer cash into the edifice, besides financing several staff positions including a social media team. Private donors are supplementing the remaining costs.

However, none of the revenue from Germany’s church tax will go into building the House of One, the organizers clarified.

The Berlin archdiocese is involved in the project. “The archbishop of Berlin is not a sponsor but is linked to the project. Archbishop Heiner Koch is a member of the foundation’s board of trustees,” the Catholic Saint Hedwig Centre announced.

Singing Praise

“We consider ourselves very lucky to have our Catholic brothers and sisters from Berlin archdiocese and Archbishop Heiner Koch on our side,” House of One organizers tweeted during the inauguration.

L’Osservatore Romano, the pope’s official newspaper, praised the project as an “innovative project that creates a common space for the three great, monotheistic religions.”

Former German president (2010–2012) Christian Wulff urged critics of the House of One to read Pope Francis’ recent encyclical Fratelli Tutti.

“I think it is very helpful for the concept of the ‘House of One’ — especially the pope’s advice that God loves all people regardless of their religious affiliation,” Wulff said.

Archbishop Koch, known for his support of homosexual relationships, told Catholic critics the interfaith project would “enable a dialogue process that does not exclude the intellectually critical” and would also include nonreligious people.

Reality: Islamic Proselytizing

In comments to Church Militant, renowned Islamic historian Robert Spencer warned that the “deceptive project is actually an example of Islamic proselytizing,” and “will not lead to any good outcome.”

Spencer cited Muslim Brotherhood theorist Sayyid Qutb as saying: “The chasm between Islam and jahiliyyah [society of unbelievers] is great, and a bridge is not to be built across it so that the people on the two sides may mix with each other, but only so that the people of jahiliyyah may come over to Islam.”

“Dialogue, in other words, is a means of dawah, Islamic proselytizing, not a genuine discussion or exchange. The proclamation that we all believe in the same God is a prelude to the appeal to accept Muhammad as a prophet and the Qur’an as a holy book,” Spencer warned.

Spencer, author of over 21 books on Islam and the Middle East, elaborated:

If experience of “interfaith dialogue” is any guide, it will be resolved by the Christians toning down proclamation of the distinctive aspects of their faith to avoid offending the Muslims. This will make their proclamation closer to Islam, as all will be left will be a declaration of monotheism and little else, and this will be viewed by the Muslims as a victory of their proselytizing and sign of the submission of the Christians required in Qur’an 9:29.

Nothing will be said of Muslim persecution of Christians.

A wooden model of the piazza has already been erected on the site and “multifaith meditations” are already being held in this provisional edifice as a marketing tool for donations.

The shrine is being built on the Petriplatz in Berlin’s oldest district of Cölln on the Spree Island on the site of the bombed-out St. Peter’s Church, which was torn down in 1964 after it suffered severe damage during World War II.

The ancient Catholic Church is mentioned in a document dating back to 1285 and was converted into a Protestant church after the Reformation….

Erdogan asks pope to ‘mobilize the Christian world’ to support the jihad against Israel

Centuries ago, popes spearheaded the resistance to the advancing jihad. But Erdogan knows what he is dealing with in Pope Francis, and it isn’t exactly the spirit of the Crusades. Whatever else he may be, Pope Francis is the perfect pope for a Europe that has discarded and no longer appreciates its own culture and heritage.

“Erdogan urges Pope to help end Gaza conflict, impose sanctions on Israel,” AFP, May 17, 2021 (thanks to The Religion of Peace):

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Monday urged Pope Francis to help rally the world to adopt sanctions against Israel for its “massacre” of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.

The phone call between Erdogan and the pontiff came as Turkey presses ahead with a furious diplomatic push to help end bloodshed that has claimed the lives of 197 Palestinians and 10 people in Israel since May 10.

For all the latest headlines follow our Google News channel online or via the app.

Erdogan told Pope Francis that “Palestinians will continue to be subjected to a massacre unless the international community punishes Israel… with sanctions”, the Turkish presidency said.

The pope’s messages were of “great importance to mobilize the Christian world and the international community”, the Turkish statement added.

The pope on Sunday said the loss of innocent lives in the violence was “terrible and unacceptable”, warning that the conflict risked “degenerating into a spiral of death and destruction”.

Erdogan, who has vocally championed the Palestinian cause during his 18-year rule, has spoken out repeatedly against Israel’s actions, accusing it of waging “terrorism” last week.

He told the pope on Monday that “all of humanity should be united against” Israel.

“The savagery caused by Israel threatens regional security,” he added….

“Free Speech Is in Danger Today in America,” As Biden Becomes First President to Omit “God” from National Day of Prayer Proclamation

The Real Story-OANN: Prayer Cancelled in Biden’s America

Rumble — Biden completely omitted the word God from his proclamation on The National Day of Prayer. The Democrats forbid the public from honoring The National Day of Prayer with a prayer service at the Capitol, cancelling a 70-year old tradition. But that's not going to stop us from praying for them and our country.

President Joe Biden, who identifies as a devout Catholic, issued on Wednesday the annual proclamation of a National Day of Prayer, without mentioning any deity.

The National Day of Prayer is an annual day of observance held on the first Thursday of May, designated by the U.S. Congress, when people are asked “to turn to God in prayer and meditation.” The president is required by law (36 U.S.C. § 119) to sign a proclamation each year, encouraging all Americans to pray on this day.

The May 5 statement says that “throughout our history, Americans of many religions and belief systems have turned to prayer for strength, hope, and guidance. Prayer has nourished countless souls and powered moral movements — including essential fights against racial injustice, child labor, and infringement on the rights of disabled Americans.”

“Today, we remember and celebrate the role that the healing balm of prayer can play in our lives and in the life of our Nation,” the Biden’s proclamation reads. “As we continue to confront the crises and challenges of our time — from a deadly pandemic to the loss of lives and livelihoods in its wake, to a reckoning on racial justice, to the existential threat of climate change — Americans of faith can call upon the power of prayer to provide hope and uplift us for the work ahead.”

Additionally, the president attributed the creation of “a Nation of remarkable religious vitality and diversity across the generations” to “the right of all Americans to pray” guaranteed by the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.

It did not take long for many Americans to realize that Biden’s message, actually, did not include the word “God.” Neither “Jesus” nor “Bible” was mentioned. The most explicit remark Biden seemed to make related to God was, “Because human beings are the most dynamic link to the divine on this planet.” It remained unclear how this communicates with our unique beliefs as a Christian nation, because even pagan religions believe humans have a connection to the divine, including those who sustain this connection with animal and human sacrifices.

Biden included a quote from the late Representative John Lewis (D-Ga.), but couldn’t even bother referencing a Bible verse or Old or New Testament figures.

Historically, every proclamation since 1953 — the first year proclamations were required under law — had included “God” until this year. Most proclamations mentioned “God” multiple times.

Reverend Franklin Graham was shocked by Biden skipping the word “God.” “Of course we need to call on God — and not just some generic ‘gods’ or some ‘power’ in the air – but on God himself, the Creator who made and created this Earth and who sent his Son, Jesus Christ from Heaven to this Earth to save mankind from sin by dying on a cross.” “There is no one else to pray to except to God,” he added.

Conservative radio host Todd Starnes, author of God Less America, also weighed in on Biden’s omission. “Regarding Biden’s godless National Day of Prayer proclamation: The problem with the Democrats is that they don’t believe that we are endowed by our Creator with certain unalienable rights,” he wrote on Twitter. “They believe we are endowed by the government.”

Christian Broadcasting Network’s Senior Political Analyst David Brody rebuked the speech, tweeting: “Joe Biden’s National Day of Prayer Proclamation has been released and it doesn’t even mention God once! How do you release a proclamation about prayer and not mention God at all? Of course it mentions climate change & racial justice. Truly, this is pathetic…and not surprising!”

In addition to Biden’s literally godless proclamation, an evangelical Christian group was denied use of the U.S. Capitol for prayer service for the first time in decades.

According to Christian Headlines, Reverend Patrick Mahoney, director of the Christian Defense Coalition, was refused to host this year’s National Day of Prayer at the Capitol building. Following the refusal of a traditional request, Reverend Mahoney  tweeted: “After our permit was denied, for the first time in 70 years, there will be NO PUBLIC witness at the U.S. Capitol Building for the National Day Of Prayer! Brothers and sisters, free speech is in danger today in America.”

People of faith believe that there is a blessing and a great power that flows to those who pray. In our impotent humanity, we are blessed to be able to reach upward to God and know that He hears us. But anyone who prays needs to address the One he prays to, as described in John 14:13-14. Prayer requires addressing God directly, not only through the faith of Christianity, which arguably serves as the spiritual foundation of America, but in other major religions practiced among her citizens, such as JudaismIslamHinduism, and Buddhism

WHY WOULDN'T BIDEN SAY HIS NAME?

The White House Proclamation in Its Entirety

Throughout our history, Americans of many religions and belief systems have turned to prayer for strength, hope, and guidance. Prayer has nourished countless souls and powered moral movements — including essential fights against racial injustice, child labor, and infringement on the rights of disabled Americans.  Prayer is also a daily practice for many, whether it is to ask for help or strength, or to give thanks over blessings bestowed.

The First Amendment to our Constitution protects the rights of free speech and religious liberty, including the right of all Americans to pray.  These freedoms have helped us to create and sustain a Nation of remarkable religious vitality and diversity across the generations.

Today, we remember and celebrate the role that the healing balm of prayer can play in our lives and in the life of our Nation.  As we continue to confront the crises and challenges of our time — from a deadly pandemic, to the loss of lives and livelihoods in its wake, to a reckoning on racial justice, to the existential threat of climate change — Americans of faith can call upon the power of prayer to provide hope and uplift us for the work ahead.  As the late Congressman John Lewis once said, “Nothing can stop the power of a committed and determined people to make a difference in our society.  Why?  Because human beings are the most dynamic link to the divine on this planet.”

On this National Day of Prayer, we unite with purpose and resolve, and recommit ourselves to the core freedoms that helped define and guide our Nation from its earliest days.  We celebrate our incredible good fortune that, as Americans, we can exercise our convictions freely — no matter our faith or beliefs.  Let us find in our prayers, however they are delivered, the determination to overcome adversity, rise above our differences, and come together as one Nation to meet this moment in history.

The Congress, by Public Law 100-307, as amended, has called on the President to issue each year a proclamation designating the first Thursday in May as a “National Day of Prayer.”

NOW, THEREFORE, I, JOSEPH R. BIDEN JR., President of the United States of America, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the Constitution and the laws of the United States, do hereby proclaim May 6, 2021, as a National Day of Prayer.  I invite the citizens of our Nation to give thanks, in accordance with their own faiths and consciences, for our many freedoms and blessings, and I join all people of faith in prayers for spiritual guidance, mercy, and protection.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand this fifth day of May, in the year of our Lord two thousand twenty-one, and of the Independence of the United States of America the two hundred and forty-fifth.

US Catholic bishops urge Biden’s handlers to bring in more ‘refugees’

What about one’s obligations to one’s own community, to try to preserve their freedom and the stability of one’s society? That is selfish, Mario Dorsonville would likely say. And with jihadis crossing the border recently, do the U.S. Catholic bishops feel any obligation to support measures that would protect Americans from jihad attacks? Apparently not. The message that the bishops are sending to Americans is simple: drop dead.

The U.S. Catholic bishops appear to be absolutely unconcerned about the following facts: Adnan Fazeli, a Muslim refugee brought to Maine by Catholic Charities, died waging jihad for the Islamic State. Somali Muslim migrant Mohammad Barry in February 2016 stabbed multiple patrons at a restaurant owned by an Israeli Arab Christian; Ahmad Khan Rahami, an Afghan Muslim migrant, in September 2016 set off bombs in New York City and New Jersey; Arcan Cetin, a Turkish Muslim migrant, in September 2016 murdered five people in a mall in Burlington, Washington; Dahir Adan, another Somali Muslim migrant, in October 2016 stabbed mall shoppers in St. Cloud while screaming “Allahu akbar”; and Abdul Razak Artan, yet another Somali Muslim migrant, in November 2016 injured nine people with car and knife attacks at Ohio State University. 72 jihad terrorists have come to the U.S. from the countries listed in Trump’s initial immigration ban.

What’s more, all of the jihadis who murdered 130 people in Paris in November 2015 had just entered Europe as refugees. In February 2015, the Islamic State boasted it would soon flood Europe with as many as 500,000 refugees. The Lebanese Education Minister said in September 2015 that there were 20,000 jihadis among the refugees in camps in his country. On May 10, 2016, Patrick Calvar, the head of France’s DGSI internal intelligence agency, said that the Islamic State was using migrant routes through the Balkans to get jihadis into Europe.

The bishops, of course, have 91 million reasons — indeed, 534 million reasons — to turn against the truth and disregard the safety and security of the American people: “In the Fiscal Year 2016, the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) received more than $91 million in government funding for refugee resettlement. Over the past nine years, the USCCB has received a total of $534,788,660 in taxpayer dollars for refugee resettlement programs.”

With that kind of money involved, is it any surprise that the bishops want more “refugees,” and show no concern whatsoever for the possibility that they might be facilitating the entry of criminals and jihad terrorists?

“Leave them; they are blind guides. And if a blind man leads a blind man, both will fall into a pit.” (Matthew 15:14)

“The Catholic Church is urging President Biden to accept a lot more refugees,” by Charles Davis, Business Insider, April 19, 2021:

President Joe Biden may attend mass every Sunday, but when it comes to welcoming more refugees he has thus far been a disappointment to the Catholic Church.

Biden campaigned on establishing a more humane immigration system, promising, in particular, to restore a refugee resettlement program that had been systematically gutted by his predecessor. Soon after taking office, the first Catholic in the White House in more than 50 years announced plans to resettle as many as 125,000 refugees in fiscal year 2021, which begins October 1.

But last week the Biden administration disappointed immigrants and their allies when it informed Congress it was not committed to raising the ultra-low cap on refugee admissions set by the last White House. Left unchanged, just 15,000 people, at most, would be resettled by the end of the current fiscal year. For comparison, the US admitted over 200,000 refugees in 1980.

Bishop Mario Dorsonville, head of the US Conference on Catholic Bishops’ Committee on Migration, said Monday the country can do a lot more to help the world’s most vulnerable

“The number of refugees who will be welcomed this year is far short of what we can do as a country and is not an adequate response to the immense resettlement need,” Dorsonville, an auxiliary bishop in Washington, DC, and himself an immigrant from Colombia, said in a statement.

The church frequently clashed with former President Donald Trump. US bishops accused him of seeking to “instigate panic in our communities” with mass deportations, and describing his efforts to practically eliminate refugee resettlement — he launched racist attacks on Somali refugees who had already come, while his adviser, Stephen Miller, advocated slashing admissions to zero — as “counter to our values as a nation of immigrants.”

The US Conference of Catholic Bishops’ Migration and Refugee Services is one of nine nonprofit organizations that partner with the US government to meet the needs of refugees who arrive in the country. Those seeking protection from war and repression deserve compassion and assistance, it teaches, citing the “mercy of Christ, who himself was a immigrant and child of refugees.”…

NIGERIA: Muslims Needed a Mosque~The Catholic Church Built One for Them

Mbaka is an embarrassment to Catholic Church –Mamza, Adamawa ...

Although this happened in Nigeria, it is emblematic of what is happening all over the West today, including in the U.S. Non-Muslims are being generous, welcoming, and kind, without any particular concern for the possibility that not all of the recipients of their largesse might be interested in reciprocating their kindness. Bishop Stephen Mamza of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Yola, is building houses in Yola for people who have lost their homes due to jihad terror activity by the Islamic group Boko Haram, whose official name is People Committed to the Prophet’s Teachings for Proselytizing and Jihad. Since many of those displaced are Muslims whom Boko Haram didn’t think were Islamic enough, Bishop Mamza also built them a mosque. What could possibly go wrong?

In an interview Sunday in Nigeria’s Punch, Bishop Mamza explained that “at a certain stage we had over 3,000 people living on our church premises,” and “we thought of what we could do to improve their living standards.” Ultimately, with help from German backers, “we started last year in January the construction of 86 units of houses to be built for the 86 families still in our camp. On the housing estate, we built a church and a mosque and a school for the IDPs,” that is, Internally Displaced People.

Mamza maintained that building the mosque was a simple act of charity: “In the first place, when we played host to these IDPs, we did not discriminate against any one of them. We didn’t ask what religion the IDPs belong to; we didn’t ask for their church denomination; we just treated them as human beings who are in need of help, irrespective of their religion, denomination or tribe.” He explained that “if we were able to build houses for all of them, and also built a church for the Christians among them, then it is only a matter of justice and fairness that we also provide a space of worship for the few Muslims among them….I just felt that since we didn’t leave out the Muslims while providing food for the Christians or leave the Muslims out while building houses for the Christians, it is only just that we also build a mosque for the Muslims as we built a church for Christians.”

As good as this bishop’s intentions were, his gesture didn’t sit well with many Christians in a country where Islamic jihadis murdered a Catholic priest in March and burned a Catholic Church to the ground in February, and where jihadis killed 2200 Christians during 2020, an average of six every day. Would the mosque that Mamza built stop this jihad violence against Christians in Nigeria? Not likely. And so, Mamza recounted, “even from within, people did not see it as a good gesture, at all….Some of them even pointed out that the Boko Haram insurgents are Muslims and they have caused a lot of havoc for us; they ask, ‘Why should we even go ahead and build a mosque for them?’ But I say, ‘Well, not all the Muslims are Boko Haram (members), not all of them (Muslims) are evil. Those that I know, that we have been living together and taking care of them for the past seven years, I know them to be good. So, there should be no reason why I should discriminate against them. I think that is the reason we built the mosque.’”

Of course, that is true that not all Muslims are evil. It is odd, however, for a Christian entity to spend money on building a structure in which congregants will be taught that Jesus is not the Son of God and belief in the Trinity is “excess” (Qur’an 4:171, 19:35), and that Jesus was not crucified (Qur’an 4:157), and that those who believe in the divinity of Christ (that would include Bishop Mamza) are unbelievers (Qur’an 5:17), and that those who (like Bishop Mamza) believe that Jesus is God’s Son are accursed (Qur’an 9:30), and that Christians who do not accept Muhammad and the Qur’an must be fought against and subjugated under Islamic hegemony (Qur’an 9:29).

Also, a hadith has Muhammad predicting that Jesus will return at the end of the world and break the cross, as it is an insult to Allah’s power to say that he would have allowed one of his prophets to be crucified: “Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah’s Apostle said, ‘By Him in Whose Hands my soul is, son of Mary [Jesus] will shortly descend amongst you people [Muslims] as a just ruler and will break the Cross and kill the pig and abolish the Jizya [a tax taken from the non-Muslims, who are in the protection, of the Muslim government]. Then there will be abundance of money and nobody will accept charitable gifts.’” (Bukhari 3.34.425)

So Bishop Mamza’s gesture is beautiful, but it may also be dangerous: The jihadis who attack his own people could be incited in the mosque he built. Also, if the situation were reversed, would the Muslims build a church? Of course not. There is no chance of that whatsoever.

Now, all that may not be probative for Bishop Mamza. He is a Christian cleric, and Christians are taught to “love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them, expecting nothing in return” (Luke 6:35). Very well. Still, in building a house where essential doctrines of Christianity will be denied, and the congregation will be exhorted to fight against Christians, subjugate them under Sharia, and make them pay the jizya (Qur’an 9:29), is Bishop Mamza being loving to his Christian flock by building this mosque? Does he have any obligation of charity to the Christians, or only to the Muslims? Well, what would the Pope say? Given Pope Francis’ actions since he became Bishop of Rome, Bishop Mamza may be on the fast track to a Red Hat.

ISIS Incites Laughter, Claims Pope Trying to Start Crusade

THE "WOKE" POPE FRANCIS STILL MISUNDERSTANDS ISLAM

ISIS Branches Out Into Comedy, Accuses Pope Woke I of Trying to Start New Crusade

republished below in full unedited for informational, educational & research purposes:

What’s the absolute last thing in the world that Pope Woke, aka Francis, would want to do? What would cause him to recoil in the most spine-tingling horror imaginable? That’s right: the prospect of following in the footsteps of his long-gone predecessor, Pope Urban II, and calling for a new Crusade. Yet that’s exactly what the Islamic State (ISIS), which is apparently not aware of just how woke and accommodating to their various demands the pope is, has just accused him of wanting to do.

ChurchMilitant.com reported the improbable news on Tuesday: in an article in its weekly publication Al-Naba, ISIS claimed that Pope Francis’ recent trip to Iraq heralded a new “Crusade” to “remove the shariah of Allah from this land and to establish polytheistic religion in its place,” and that the pope marked the beginning of this “Crusade” by “lifting his profane cross over the ruins of Mosul.” The woke pope, with his fond daydreams about Islam being a religion of peace and tolerance, has once again run into the law of unintended consequences, and caused more trouble than he solved.

Jihad attacks will follow in Iraq, ISIS declared, warning Iraqi churches that the jihadis “will remove their crosses very soon” as they did “the first time, with Allah’s permission.” This came in an editorial entitled “Messages of the Christian Idolator-Tyrant [Taghut al-Nasara al-Baba] on His Visit to Iraq.” As I explained to Church Militant, taghut refers to idols or idolaters, particularly as rulers; nasara is the Qur’an’s word for Christians; and al-baba is the pope. So taghut al-nasara al-baba is the Christian idolater or idolator-tyrant, the pope.

ISIS claimed that Francis went to Iraq bent on “propagating new crusader ideas towards Muslim countries, especially Iraq, which has been the site of a grinding war for the last two decades between the Muslims and the mushrikeen,” that is, the idolators or polytheists. The pope’s interfaith event in Iraq amounted to “unleashing an invitation to a new religion of unbelief and atheism” adhered to by Christians, Jews and “the idolator-tyrants [taghut] of Muslim countries.”

Decrying the pope’s cherished idea that Christianity and Islam can come to a mutual accord and understanding based on their supposed “common father” Abraham, ISIS continued: “The so-called ‘Abrahamic religions’ — whether true or false — are said to belong to Ibrahim, the prophet of Allah, and based on the claim that the city of Ur, which the Christian idolator-tyrant visited and from where he launched his campaign for this new religion is the birthplace of Ibrahim, the prophet of Allah.”

The idea of “Abrahamic religions,” according to ISIS, is “Satanic,” basing this idea upon the Qur’an: “Abraham was not a Jew, nor was he a Christian, but he was a Muslim hanif, and he was not one of the idolaters” (3:67). It may seem strange to Westerners to claim that Abraham was a Muslim in light of the fact that Islam didn’t come to the world until 600 years after Jesus. But in the Islamic scheme of things, Islam was the original religion of all the prophets of the Bible. Their followers corrupted their teachings to create Judaism and Christianity, which are both false religions. That idea is mainstream Islam, not just the province of “extremists.”

The author of this document also refers to the pope profaning Mosul by lifting his cross over it. This is because in Islam, Jesus was not crucified (cf. Qur’an 4:157), and to affirm otherwise is to suggest that Allah is not strong enough to protect his prophets.

The pope would most likely be shocked to find that his very attempts at conciliation and peace are being viewed as provocations, but this is yet another example of his getting involved in affairs that he only dimly understands at best, and creating more problems than he is solving. He almost certainly doesn’t know that the Qur’an says that “the Jews and the Christians will never be satisfied with you until you follow their religion,” (2:120). So even his outreach is viewed as a sinister attempt to seduce Muslims away from Islam, and that this group is likely to strike at Christians to protect themselves against this perceived attack on Islam.

Pope Francis’ peace outreach may consequently end up getting even more Christians killed than would have been if he had left well enough alone and stuck to preaching the Gospel, which it is supposedly his mission to propagate and defend. But that has never seemed to be very high on his priority list.

MIKE GENDRON, PROCLAIMING THE GOSPEL: IS THE POPE CATHOLIC?

News from Ex-Catholic & Evangelist Mike Gendron

Republished below in full unedited for informational, educational & research purposes:

Pope Francis has become the most controversial pope in the last 300 years. He has made numerous contentious and disputable statements that not only go against historic Roman Catholicism, but they also violate the infallible Word of God. Tragically, his fatal lies often go unchecked and are leading millions of people down the wide road to destruction (Matthew 7:13). As the first Jesuit pope, he rules over 1.3 billion Roman Catholics, who have been indoctrinated to believe that any man who wears the papal crown is holy and infallible when he speaks ex-cathedra. We must warn Catholics with the sobering words of Christ, "Beware of the false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves" (Mat. 7:15).
Is the Pope Humble?
Pope Francis is loved by many because of the “humility” portrayed by his foot-washings and self-described humble lifestyle. However, can he really be humble when he usurps the honor and authority of the Lord Jesus by stealing His title as the Head of His Church? Francis never suffered the physical torment, the spiritual abandonment and a sacrificial death to save the Church. That he would consider himself to be the Head of the Church is unconscionable. Yet, his arrogance does not end there. He has also usurped the title “Holy Father” from the one and only Holy Father who is the Father of Jesus and all born-again Christians (John 17:11).
Is the Pope a Universalist?
In spite of the clear teaching of Christ and His Word, Pope Francis believes God’s will is to save all people. During a message in St. Peter’s Square, he said, God “wants His children to overcome all particularism in order to be open to the universality of salvation” (CNA, 11/15/19). Years earlier, Pope Francis declared: “The Lord has redeemed all of us, with the Blood of Christ: all of us, not just Catholics. Everyone…even the atheists. Everyone! The Blood of Christ has redeemed us all” (RNS, 5/22/13). The pope’s belief that everyone will be saved is not only opposed to the teachings of his church but also to the very words of Christ. The Lord Jesus made it clear that very few will enter Heaven, and the greater majority will end up in a place of destruction. He said we must “enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it. For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it” (Matthew 7:13-14).
Is the Pope a Denier of Hell?
Not only has Pope Francis said everyone will eventually be in Heaven, but he also stated, “There is no hell where sinners suffer for eternity.” He added to his heresy by saying: “After death, those who do not repent cannot be pardoned, and they disappear.” Then he declared, “Hell does not exist but what does exist is the disappearance of sinful souls.” One can only conclude that the pope is calling Jesus a liar because He spoke of hell more than thirty times in the New Testament. God’s Word describes hell as a place of torment where unbelievers suffer pain and thirst from a burning fire. The horror and hopelessness is so great that they want to warn their loved ones who are still alive. The punishment for their sins is irreversible; there is no second chance and no escape (Luke 16:19-31). The pope’s denial of hell also opposes Roman Catholicism, which affirms the existence of an eternal fire in hell where sinners suffer (Catechism of the Catholic Church, para. 1035).
Is the Pope Against the Sanctity of Marriage?
The recent endorsement of same-sex civil unions by Pope Francis has been criticized by conservative Catholics throughout the world. God's timeless Word reveals His holy intentions for marriage, family and sexuality as well as His clear condemnations for those who violate His intentions. No one, not even a pope, has the authority to redefine marriage, family and sexuality. The first family consisted of a male husband and a female wife, along with their children.
Is the Pope Ever Right?
Pope Francis was wrong again when he said, “All of us are God's children.” The Lord Jesus exposes the pope’s lie by revealing some people are children of the devil. To the apostate religious leaders He said, “You are of your father the devil” (John 8:44). Later, the apostle John wrote: “It is evident who are the children of God, and who are the children of the devil: whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is the one who does not love his brother" (1 John 3:10). The pope was also wrong biblically when he declared Mary is the one mediator between God and man (1 Tim. 2:5). He said, "Mary is not only the bridge joining us to God; she is more. She is the road that God traveled to reach us, and the road that we must travel in order to reach Him.
Pope Francis blasphemed God by attributing the work of Jesus Christ to Satan when he declared that the “Division [among evangelicals and Catholics] is the work of the Father of Lies who does everything possible to keep us divided.” The pope's statement opposed and denigrated God's infallible Word. The Lord Jesus is the One who divides believers from unbelievers by the truth of His Word (Luke 12:51-53).
The pope also blasphemed God by saying He is going to destroy the world again because of global warming. He said this time the Genesis flood won't be mythical, (like he seems to believe of the Genesis flood); it will be real. His distortion of Genesis continues with his statement: “The Big Bang Theory does not contradict the role of God as the divine creator.” He said, “God is not a divine being or a magician, but the Creator who brought everything to life."
Is There Anything Christians Can Do?
Pope Francis has become the most influential and dangerous false teacher in the world today. It is my prayer that Christians will recognize the Roman Catholic religion is a huge mission field and rescue Catholics from Pope Francis. Only the truth of God's Word can set Catholics free from the bondage of religious deception (John 8:31-32). We must speak the truth in love and pray for the salvation of these precious souls!
Some Will Come and Preach Another Jesus
Christians will often tell us they know a Catholic is saved because they love Jesus. However, which Jesus do they love? The Jesus of the Bible is gloriously revealed as the all-sufficient Savior who finished the work of redemption (Heb. 7:25, 9:12). The Eucharistic Jesus does not save sinners completely and forever, but instead continues the work of redemption on an altar (Catechism of the Catholic Church [CCC], para. 1405, 1471). The true Jesus paid the complete punishment for sin and canceled the eternal debt for sin (Col. 2:13-14). The false Christ of Rome did not pay the complete punishment for sin as Catholics are taught they must suffer temporal punishment for sin in purgatory (CCC, 1471).
The Bible tells us Jesus offered Himself once for all sin for all time and there are no more offerings for sin (Heb. 10:12,14,18). The counterfeit Christ of Roman Catholicism is offered 200,000 times each day on altars throughout the world as a sacrificial "victim" for past sins (CCC, 1367). God's Word tells us Jesus will return a second time the same way He left, after the tribulation in wondrous glory (Acts 1:11; Mat. 24:27-30; Heb. 9:28). The Catholic Jesus returns every day at the command of a priest who transubstantiates wafers into his body and blood, soul and divinity (CCC, 1374). The Catholic Church robs Christ of His glory as the only sinless mediator (1 Tim. 2:5) by declaring Mary holds the same glorious position.
When Catholics worship and trust the false Christ of the Eucharist, they are committing the most serious sin of idolatry and must be warned. Furthermore, another Jesus always leads to another gospel which has no power to save (Rom. 1:16; Gal. 1:6-9). It is because of our love for Catholics we have published a Gospel tract, Which Jesus Do you Trust? Order them here.
