U.S. Warns Iran Will Strike Israel Soon

US intelligence warns an Iranian strike on Israel is imminent, possibly with missiles or drones or both, but Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant tells CBN News Israel can respond quickly and decisively to an attack; President Biden says the US “commitment to Israel’s security against these threats from Iran and its proxies is ironclad,” but Congressional Republicans, working on a resolution to support Israel in its war against Hamas, speak out against Biden’s criticism of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, saying Biden has become an “anti-Israeli President;” Chris Mitchell talks about Yoav Gallant’s background briefing, where he discussed Israel’s military capabilities and the situation in the Middle East, Israel’s humanitarian aid plans, and his own background; after Americans have fled some major cities because of crime, drug abuse and homelessness, those cities have reversed their lax liberal policies and are now cracking down on crime; and pastors Mike Signorelli and Greg Locke talk to CBN’s Global Lane about how God is transforming lives and setting people free, and their new film, “Miracles at the Movies.”

Biden Tries To Blast Trump, But Blunders Instead: ‘Elect Me… I’m In The 20th Century’

Another embarrassing blunder went viral online among those who argue that President Biden is too mentally incompetent for another four-year term. It was related to the president’s statement on Wednesday, when he said that voters should “Elect me… I’m in the 20th century.”

At the end of a joint press conference with Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida in the White House Rose Garden, Biden, 81, made the remark.

“Why doesn’t everybody holler at once?” the president asserted sarcastically as reporters asked questions.

Biden was questioned by Peter Alexander of NBC News during an abortion debate in Arizona, where the state Supreme Court decided on Tuesday that a 1864 law that outlawed abortions from the time of conception is still in force, with the exception being to save a mother’s life.

“Elect me,” Biden replied. “…I’m in the 20, 20th century,” continued the president.

A minute later, Biden realized his mistake and added, “21st century! Not back then. They weren’t even a state.”

The country’s oldest-ever president then began to ramble on as reporters barked out more queries.

Biden also later stated, “The war in Ukraine comes to an end by the House leader allowing a vote [on additional military aid]” while answering a question from another reporter regarding how the conflict would conclude.

According to polls, most voters are uneasy about Biden’s mental capacity and age in regards to the upcoming election. If he serves out a second term, he will be 86 years old by the time his term ends.

Netanyahu: ‘No force in the world will stop us’ from ‘eliminating’ Hamas

On Tuesday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reiterated Israel’s commitment to the total destruction of Hamas, and declared that no force on earth will stop that goal. He was addressing new IDF recruits at the the IDF Induction Base at Tel Hashomer. (Courtesy: Israel Government Press Office)

This is a very significant day in your life and in the life of the state. The state exists thanks to our ability to defend ourselves. These attacks have not ceased since we established the state; this has been the fate of the Jewish people for hundreds and even thousands of years. What has changed with the establishment of the state is our ability to repel these attacks, sometimes at a very heavy cost, but with a strength that the entire world understands, we may not always like, but we know that without it we would not exist.

This is what you are doing here today in the various units, brigades and corps. We are, in effect, defending the existence of our state, which is also the personal existence of each and every one of you, your families, your friends and also the coming generations. This is no exaggeration or lofty words. These are very precise words; this is what will determine if our state exists.

The most prominent thing that we have seen in the six months since the outbreak of the war is the immense increase in the motivation of the young people, the desire to enlist, defend and fight, both young men and young women. We have never seen such a thing. This attests to the power of life in our people. I think that you deserve all praise as well as the understanding that you are – in effect – doing something of historic significance.”

Prime Minister Netanyahu added, about the fighting in the Gaza Strip [translated from Hebrew]:

We will complete the elimination of Hamas’s battalions, including in Rafah. No force in the world will stop us. There are many forces trying to do this but it will not help because this enemy, after what it has done, will not do this again. Nor will it exist. We are committed to doing this, and each one of you now, at this base, will contribute in one way or another to completing the goal. That must be it. After doing such a thing to our country – it will not be done any more.

We have three objectives: One – to return our hostages, all of the field observers, and not just them, but everyone together. We will return them all. The second objective: Eliminating Hamas. The third objective: To ensure that Gaza will never again constitute a threat to Israel.

There is a fourth objective: Hamas is part of Iran’s axis of evil, which aims to destroy us. And when we defeat Hamas, it is not only defeating Hamas – it is defeating the axis. Everyone in the Middle East and beyond is sitting in the stands and watching who will win on this field, Israel or Iran and its proxies. You already know who will win. Good luck!”

Also participating in the visit were the Prime Minister’s Chief-of-Staff, the Prime Minister’s Military Secretary, the Head of the IDF Personnel Branch, the commander of the Border Defense School and additional senior IDF officers.

Meanwhile, Israel is doing all it can to protect civilian lives in Rafah, contrary to Hamas, which is using civilians as human shields. But the world does not pressure Hamas to surrender; it pressures Israel to abandon its necessary war for the benefit of Hamas.

“Israel purchases 40,000 tents for Rafah evacuation, invasion,” by Yonah Jeremy Bob, Jerusalem Post, April 9, 2024:

Israel and the US have been debating whether the evacuation of Palestinian civilians from Rafah would take one or four months.

The Defense Ministry has purchased 40,000 tents to better enable the evacuation and prepare for an invitation to Rafah in the relatively near future.

Although the ministry acknowledged to the Jerusalem Post that 40,000 tents would not be enough for all 1.4 million Palestinian civilians currently in Rafah, it is still considered a significant step forward.

There was no official announcement. The leak of the purchase could also be a nod to the US, being transparent about the process to prepare for the evacuation in advance after months in which Washington complained that Israel’s preparations for evacuating civilians were both too secretive, and insufficient.…

Hamas Claims That Israeli Hostages Left Captivity ‘Happy and Laughing’

SEE: https://www.jihadwatch.org/2024/04/hamas-claims-that-israeli-hostages-left-captivity-happy-and-laughing; republished below in full, unedited, for informational, educational, & research purposes:

We all know that Hamas threatened the Israelis hostages that it was just about to release last November to put on happy faces, and wish their former captors “Shalom” for the cameras, and those who could manage it did as they were told. They had been warned that if they did not collaborate, it would go hard with the hostages still being held captive, whom they were leaving behind. But when they arrived home, the released hostages proceeded to describe the horrific conditions in which they had been held. They spoke of living on one piece of pita bread each day, or being occasionally given rotten meat. Many of them lived in the tunnels, enduring the cold and the darkness. None had received a visit from the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC). And finally, after many months, some of them finally spoke publicly of the sexual abuse they had endured every day, including rapes, and revealed that all of the female hostages were still being similarly abused.

Christine Douglass-Williams wrote about this here, and more on this sexual abuse, and Hamas’ blanket denial, can be found here: “Outrageous lie: Israeli hostages in Gaza “left happy and laughing” – they received “generous treatment” – PA TV interview,” by Itamar Marcus, Palestinian Media Watch, April 4, 2024:

Recently, an Israeli woman aged 40 who was held hostage by Hamas revealed that she was sexually assaulted by her captor. And she is not the only one. Other hostages have also testified about sexual abuse, torture and beatings while being held by Hamas in the Gaza Strip.

As more testimonies from Israeli hostages who were freed last November after almost two months in Hamas captivity are being published, the war of narratives has become urgent.

The meager rations, the beatings, the confinement in dark and cold tunnels, were the common lot of the hostages. Several dozen hostages have also been murdered while in Hamas’ captivity over the past six months.

The Palestinian and Arab narrative is entirely fictitious and is intended to humanize Hamas and deny its atrocities. One example is this outrageous claim made to official PA TV by a lecturer at Cairo University that the Israeli hostages received “generous treatment” and left captivity “happy and laughing”:

Head of Radio and TV Department at Cairo University’s Faculty of Mass Communications Ashraf Jalal: “The generous treatment Palestine gave the Israeli prisoners (i.e., kidnapped women and children) caused an enormous positive response, because after [the Israelis] lied and said that [Hamas] is abusing them, the [Israeli] people left [Gaza] happy and laughing… What is required is that we redirect the media spotlight to this issue.”

[Official PA TV, From Cairo, Feb. 12, 2024]

The brazen lie follows those made by senior PA officials, which have been documented by Palestinian Media Watch. In November 2023, Minister Qadura Fares, who is the director of the PLO Commission of Prisoners’ Affairs, said that Israel “made up this story and said: They [the Palestinians] raped, killed, and burned” [Official PA TV, Nov. 20, 2023]. In December 2023, PLO Executive Committee member and PLF Secretary-General Wasel Abu Yusuf said: “Since October 7, there has been a Zionist version that [Israel] has attempted to spread worldwide out of tendentious propaganda, [claiming] that there was murder of children, rape of women, crimes, and the like” [Official PA TV, Topic of the Day, Dec. 3, 2023].

But we have testimony about the murdered children, the rapes, the mutilation of bodies of Israeli survivors who witnessed or overheard these events from their hiding places. We also have videos of these atrocities that were taken at the time by those who committed them, so proud were they of how they had terrorized, tortured, raped, and killed the hated Israelis. And, of course, we have the 1,200 corpses of those who were burned to death, or stabbed or shot, with the females having had their breasts sliced off, and genitalia cut off men, as well as their eyes gouged out.

It’s not the charges of murder and kidnapping that Hamas feels the need to deny, but the charge of “sexual abuse” — meaning “rape.” That is seen as beyond the pale. Pass out candies and celebrate the murders of 1,200 Israelis on October 7, but remain silent about the mass rapes which Muslim men are not supposed to engage in. “We have our standards,” they imply, and rape is not allowed. It’s absurd of course: there were endless rapes on October 7, and then more sexual abuse, including rapes, of female hostages by their Hamas captors in Gaza that continue right up to the present day. So please understand the threats that made some of those hostages — only a few could manage it — appear to be “happy and laughing” for the whirring cameras as they left Gaza, freed in the November hostage-for-prisoner exchange. And months later, concentrate on the full horror of what the remaining hostages — starved, beaten, held in cold, dark tunnels, with sexual abuse and rape a daily occurrence – must still endure.

Mother of Israeli woman killed by Hamas slams AP for giving award for photo of jihadis with her body

If Shani Louk had been anything but Israeli, the AP would not have given the photo any award.

“Hamas victim Shani Louk’s grief-stricken mother reveals how an award given for a photo of tattoo artist’s naked and mutilated body being paraded by terrorists forces her family to relive her murder on October 7,” by Dan Grennan, Daily Mail, April 7, 2024

The grief-stricken mother of Hamas victim Shani Louk has revealed how an award given for a photo of her daughter’s half-naked and mutilated body forced her family to relive the trauma of her murder.

The 22-year-old German-Israeli was one of 364 people killed at the SuperNova Festival, which she was attending with her boyfriend, in the October 7 attacks.

The picture shows four Hamas militants celebrating as they brandish a rocket launcher and guns while sitting on top of Shani Louk’s body, which is lying face down in the back of a pickup truck.

The photo, taken by freelance photographer Ali Mahmud, was the centerpiece of the submission that won photo agency AP the Team Picture Story of the Year category from the Donald W. Reynolds Journalism Institute at the Missouri School of Journalism.

Now Shani’s mother, Ricarda, has revealed the award has forced her family to relive the trauma of her daughter’s murder.

She told the Telegraph: ‘[It is] ‘traumatic for all of us. Just try to imagine seeing your beloved girl lying half-naked and lifeless on the truck with those savages around her.’

The tattoo artist was still wearing the clubbing outfit she had on while attending the music festival in the picture.

Separate footage recorded in the hours after the photo was taken shows her body being paraded around the streets of Gaza, with some passers-by spitting on her.

‘Seeing those pictures again because of the contest makes our family relive the pain,’ said Ms Louk.

The 53-year-old added that her family were not told in advance that the photo was being put forward for an award, which she said ‘made me angry’.

The fact they celebrated this photo with a prize makes us hurt even more because really, it’s like celebrating that they were killed.

I mean, the whole massacre is celebrated. It’s not by chance that they chose this picture so it hurts us even more….

A Texas mother says she was diagnosed with cancer and even underwent chemotherapy, only to find out later that she did not have cancer after all.

According to the Daily Mail, 39-year-old Lisa Monk had gone to the hospital in 2022 due to stomach pains that she had suspected were kidney stones. She went through a series of tests during her appointment which showed that she had two kidney stones, as well as a mass on her spleen.

The mother of two then underwent surgery in January 2023 to remove the mass.

According to reports, Monk stated that the spleen had been sent to three different pathology laboratories to be tested before a fourth one found it tested positive for a rare and terminal cancer called “clear cell angiosarcoma.”

The Mayo Clinic states that angiosarcoma is a type of cancer that develops on the lining of lymph and blood vessels. Regardless of age or gender, angiosarcoma is thought to have a poor prognosis despite current treatments.

“It was a blood vessel type of cancer found in the spleen and told me that the most optimistic thing he could say was to give me 15 months [to live],” Monk said. “It was a dark time.”

Monk then says what followed the diagnosis was an “aggressive” chemotherapy regimen.

Soon after, she was referred to another hospital and had her first round of chemotherapy in March 2023. After losing all of her hair, Monk explained that she underwent a second round of chemo that left her vomiting and with “silvery skin.”

“It was a very dark time. I was writing goodbye letters and letters to the grandchildren I would never meet and the weddings I would never attend.”

However, Monk said that during a routine appointment in April, a doctor informed her that she never had cancer and that the pathology report “was wrong.”

“I saw the nurse practitioner first and she just asked me about my symptoms and she was scrolling on the computer while she was talking to me,” Monk recalled. “All of a sudden she just stops talking and has this look on her face. She turned to me and looked completely horrified and told me she needed to get the doctor and then ran out of the room. She left me alone for about 15 minutes and the doctor came back in. He said a lot of medical lingo to me and then told me I didn’t have cancer.”

“The doctor then told me that I never had cancer. [At that moment] I looked like I had cancer and I felt like I had cancer as I was vomiting, I was sick and my skin was silvery because of the chemotherapy,” Monk said.

She continued, stating that the doctor then congratulated her for being cancer-free, rather than apologizing for the huge error.

“The doctor then congratulated me, which really bothered me,” Monk revealed. “At the time I was in shock but now I feel the more appropriate response would be "I'm sorry." I asked for a copy of their pathology report and I found a hallway to call my husband and tell him the news.”

Monk says she only discovered the pathology report was dated a month earlier when she looked at it at home. This means the hospital knew about it before her second round of chemotherapy, but they just did not inform her until the last appointment.

“I had had chemotherapy during this time and they could have told me a month earlier that I would have avoided the second round of chemotherapy if they had bothered to read their own pathology report,” Monk added. “[After being told I didn’t have cancer] I had to wait a couple of days and then it was confirmed to me that it was not cancer after having a discussion with all the doctors. In the end they determined that my spleen was going to rupture which is why it had the mass on it. It was just blood vessel activity and no cancer in it.”

Wells Fargo Estimates That Costco Sells Around $200M In Gold Bars Every Month

Wells Fargo Estimates That Costco Sells Around $200M In Gold Bars Every Month

At Costco, gold is a hot commodity. The big-box retailer’s yellow metal sales, which started last year, have grown significantly.

As a matter of fact, sales have accelerated so much that Wells Fargo analysts predict that its revenue “may now be running at” up to $200 million per month after Bullion entered the warehouse club late in the summer of 2023.

“Our work suggests there has been significant interest given COST’s aggressive pricing and high level of customer trust,” said Edward Kelly, an equity analyst at Wells Fargo. “The accelerating frequency of Reddit posts, quick online sell-outs of product, and COST’s robust monthly eComm sales suggest a sharp uptick in momentum since the launch.”

That would be a significant jump for a product that only made its debut in August of last year and brought in over $100 million in sales during Costco’s first fiscal quarter, which concluded in late November of 2023.

“The company’s first location, opened in 1976 under the Price Club name, was in a converted airplane hangar on Morena Boulevard in San Diego, California. Originally serving only small businesses, the company found it could achieve far greater buying clout by also serving a selected audience of non-business members,” Costco’s website states.

One-ounce bars consisting of nearly pure 24-karat gold are available at Costco. It is estimated that the product often sells for roughly 2% above the current price, which as of Tuesday morning was approximately $2,357 an ounce, even though the price is not published online to non-members. Based on these estimates, the cost at Costco would be a little higher than $2,400.

This year, investors’ concerns about the worsening U.S. economic position and a prolonged wave of inflation that began in 2022 have driven spot prices of gold up over 13% in 2024. The government’s debt load has topped $34.6 trillion, and this year it is expected to run a $2 trillion deficit.

Meanwhile, selling gold bars has been simple for a major company that takes pride in offering a wide range of options to customers.

However, a couple of catches remain: Sales are now restricted to five per client (up from two previously), and while Costco’s top line profits greatly from this policy, the bottom line profit picture is different. This is due to the fact that the store offers 2% cash back for executive members and an additional 2% for customers who use their Citigroup credit cards, on top of the little premium it receives for gold bars. According to Kelly, the sales are boosting general product sales by roughly 3% but making little to no profit.

Although geopolitical upheaval in the Middle East and Eastern Europe has raised concerns about financial stability, gold is still considered a natural inflation hedge.

According to DataTrek Research, central banks have historically been major purchasers of gold, particularly in Asia. The surge in prices this year indicates that although purchases may decline in the first half of 2024, they are probably going to increase in the latter part of the year.

“The move suggests that many foreign governments feel the need to hedge geopolitical outcomes that might be negative catalysts for other risk assets like stocks,” said DataTrek co-founder Nicholas Colas. “The only good news is that this reinforces the idea of gold as a reasonable hedge for diversified portfolios.”
