D.C. officials begin scapegoating the unvaccinated, claiming they’re more dangerous than terrorists

(Natural News) In lockstep with fake “president” Joe Biden’s ongoing efforts to inject every last American with a Wuhan coronavirus (Covid-19) “vaccine,” officials in the District of Columbia are doing their part to try to get more needles into arms by roving local neighborhoods in search for the “unvaccinated.”
Elissa Silverman, a D.C. Council Member, spoke at a recent meeting about how she is personally very upset about the fact that not everyone in the area has agreed to roll up their sleeves for an “Operation Warp Speed” shot.
“I want to understand our city’s strategy regarding the unvaccinated because that’s, like, the big deal here,” Silverman whined. “If I’m looking at the data correctly, almost all of our unvaccinated residents 12 and older are insured by Medicaid. That’s like the entire universe.”
Because Silverman feels as though everyone should be forced to get injected against their will – this is also known as medical fascism – she is calling on D.C. officials who are higher up on the food chain than herself to take swift and immediate action to get everyone jabbed.
Another council member by the name of Mary Cheh further complained about how she witnessed students at Wilson High School sitting close to one another at lunch – gasp! These same students were also not wearing face masks, which upset Cheh even more.
To try to get their way, these two women are attempting to launch a crusade against the unvaccinated and other “non-compliant” people, including public school students who refuse to wear a mask and stay socially distanced from one another at all times.
They are joined by Patrick Ashley of D.C. Health, who announced that his department has unleashed an “outreach program” that involves going door to door to get more needles into arms.
“And as a reminder, we knock on doors until we actually get someone to talk to us,” Ashley announced. “And so, they’ll go back to a house four or five, six times, if necessary, multiple times of the day.”

Unlike the two women, Ashley stated that he agrees with the Constitution that Americans have the freedom and liberty to reject Fauci Flu shots if they so choose, which really upset Silverman.
“The president is saying it’s not a choice anymore!” Silverman interrupted and shouted at Ashley as he was stating that Wuhan Flu shots are “a choice of theirs to make.”
“The biggest threat to our city right now” is unvaccinated residents, Silverman further bellowed in a manner similar to Veruca Salt from “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory:”
Needless to say, Silverman is a “bad egg.” Until she gets put in her place, however, Silverman will more than like continue to try to impose her Cult of Covidism religious beliefs on others by making other people’s bodies her choice.
Silverman brought up the recent move by the Los Angeles Board of Education that aims to force all public school students 12 years of age and older to be medically raped with Trump Vaccines as an example for D.C. public schools to follow.
Ashley responded to Silverman with a bit more dignity than she showed him by saying that he looks forward to any “other suggestions” she might have for how to “make more strides in those communities” where compliance with Operation Warp Speed is currently lacking.
D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser, meanwhile, has decided to try to force all government employees in the district to take a Fauci Shot or three.

After news about the job listing went viral, the job listing was altered to remove the term “strike team” from the job title as well as the “duties” section of the job description.
The original URL of the job posting also contained the “strike team” term, but it was replaced by a new URL lacking the term. You can see the original URL in this link.

As part of the stealth editing, the Washington government also removed “strike team” from the following duties description:
Maintaining the readiness of the isolation and quarantine strike team, facilities, and equipment.
After the job listing was edited, that duty description at first read:
Maintaining the readiness of the facilities and equipment.
Notice that this duty description removed the terms “strike team” as well as “isolation and quarantine.”
That duty description line was later edited yet again to include comments about doing laundry and making beds. So now they want us to believe that a job listing for “strike teams” actually means people who will make beds and do laundry.
Maintaining the readiness of the facility and equipment which includes ensuring contractors have cleaned the facility adequately. Staff may also be responsible for making beds, doing laundry, and restocking supplies.
Really? They want us to believe this? (Gee, I thought I was joining a kick-ass strike force assault team, and all they have me doing is the f##king laundry!)

When governments use the term “strike team,” they are of course referring to a heavily armed assault team that uses violence (or the threat of violence) to achieve its goals. In this case, their goal is obviously medical kidnapping.
The purpose of the “strike team” is to raid the homes of unvaccinated people and force them into quarantine/death camps at gunpoint, after which many will likely be exterminated. Their deaths, of course, will be blamed on “covid.”
Nowhere in the history of any government, anywhere in the world, have “strike teams” sat around folding laundry and making beds, which is the current (laughable) cover story now appearing in the edited job listing. Do they really think we will swallow that one? “Hurry, go get more pillowcases… send in the strike team!”
The fact that government goons in Washington State first posted the job description as a “strike team” ad, and then later tried to surreptitiously remove the term from the listings in order to hide it, reveals a shocking level of deception.
The informed American people already know that governors like Inslee, by interfering with ivermectin and other lifesaving, low-cost medications that could be saving lives right now, are culpable in the deliberate mass deaths of “covid” victims, most of whom are actually victims of the spike protein bioweapons jabs that are falsely labeled “vaccines.”
It’s clear that rogue governments in Australia, New Zealand, France, the UK, and other countries are gearing up for the planned mass extermination of their own populations, with covid death camps under construction and being celebrated as a kind of “final solution” to the pandemic.

In the United States, the CDC’s “quarantine stations” map reveals a nationwide network of death camps already in existence. The CDC’s “green zones” document that describes the operating goals of such camps has no plans for any healthy person to leave such facilities while explaining the CDC plans to meet “minimum humanitarian standards” for the operations of such camps.
It’s also clear from that same document that the CDC plans to separate families by force, using strike force teams to remove people from their homes, rip them from their families, and force them into covid death camps against their will.
Adding to the red alert situation for all this, fake president Joe Biden — an illegal imposter waging war against America — recently signed an executive order adding measles to the list of diseases for which a person can be medically kidnapped and thrown into a quarantine death camp.
This means, of course, that the criminal government plans to “diagnose” people with measles — no doubt using fraudulent PCR tests that can fake any infection — in order to kidnap them and throw them into quarantine death camps. There’s little question that political dissidents will suddenly be diagnosed with measles so that this can all be swept under the canopy of “public health.”
Washington Gov. Inslee is a war criminal waging war against the people of Washington, just like Fauci, Biden, Walensky, and others are war criminals waging war against the entire population of the United States. Now all the signs are readily apparent that they are gearing up for mass medical arrests across the country, followed by mass executions and mass graves. O’Malley claims the FDA and the CDC are at fault, and, as a federal employee, she fully expects retribution. Her son has set up a donation campaign to help the likely-to-be-fired O’Malley. The site has brought her $198,751 in donations in under 24 hours.

SAN ANTONIO (CBSDFW.COM) — A court in the Western District of Texas has sentenced a man pf [sic] Iranian descent to more than five years in prison for violating the International Emergency Economic Powers Act.
Mehrdad Ansari, a resident of the United Arab Emirates and Germany, was sentenced to 63 months in prison, followed by three years of supervised release for his role in a scheme to obtain military-sensitive parts for Iran.
“This case reaffirms HSI’s resolve and commitment in securing the homeland by targeting foreign actors attempting to procure sensitive technology by exploiting the U.S. export laws,” said HSI San Antonio acting Special Agent in Charge Craig Larrabee.
In coordination with his co-conspirators, Ansari obtained and attempted to obtain parts that had dual military and civilian capability and could be used in such systems as nuclear weapons, missile guidance and development, secure tactical radio communications, offensive electronic warfare, military electronic countermeasures (radio jamming), and radar warning and surveillance systems.
On May 7, a San Antonio federal jury convicted Ansari on one count of conspiracy to violate the Iranian Transaction Regulations, one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud, one count of conspiracy to defraud the U.S. Department of the Treasury, and two counts of aiding and abetting the making of false statements.
Evidence presented during trial revealed that the 40-year-old attempted to transship testing equipment obtained from the U.S. by co-defendants, Taiwanese citizen Susan Yip, and Iranian citizen Mehrdad Foomanie, using Ansari’s companies, Gulf Gate Sea Cargo L.L.C., and Global Merchant L.L.C., based in Dubai.
From Oct. 9, 2007, to June 15, 2011, Yip and Foomanie obtained or attempted to obtain from companies worldwide more than 105,000 parts valued at approximately $2,630,800, involving more than 1,250 transactions. The defendant’s main role was to get a particular set of parts from a Central Texas company that was key for the Iranian government’s testing of all other parts…..

The Senate parliamentarian is a supposedly nonpartisan figure who arbitrates disagreements over Senate rules and guides the Senate through a myriad of regulations.
The current Senate parliamentarian is Elizabeth MacDonough.
Democrats want to include 8 million green cards in their monstrous $3.5 trillion package. They need MacDonough’s approval. Here is where it gets a little complicated.
Senate Democrats need MacDonough’s approval to pull off what is referred to as the “reconciliation process,” a procedure that was added to the Senate’s rules in the early 1970s. The roughly 45-year-old process allows some types of budget bills to pass through the upper chamber with just a simple majority. It allows the bypassing of filibusters by opponents.

Ultimately, MacDonough, whose job it is to protect the rights of both parties, decided what is and is not acceptable with regard to the procedures.
Democrat senators are obviously gung-ho about handing over 8 million green cards to illegal immigrants who have crossed our southern border, as it almost guarantees 8 million new Democrat voters.
“If more and more people become legal permanent residents, they qualify for some government programs,” Senator Durbin stated. “But economists agree that for every dollar paid out through a government program to a legal permanent resident, ten dollars is returned to the economy.”
Which economists, Dick? And if that’s the case, why aren’t we ALL on welfare? Wouldn’t that make the country wealthier?
Is MacDonough likely to support the measure? Durbin admitted that he was unsure, further noting that the decision is “entirely within her hands at this point.”
If the Democrats can’t prove the green cards are budget-related, MacDonough isn’t likely to approve it. According to her past decisions, MacDonough has had no problem saying “no” to both parties. The onus is on Democrats to prove that 8 million green cards for illegal immigrants are somehow budget-related.

(Natural News) The vaccine holocaust is well underway in Australia, where a disturbing new video depicts Australian covid internment camp police threatening to “gas” an occupant (prisoner) who has already spent 14 days in forced quarantine and wants to be released. A snippet of the video is shown in today’s Situation Update podcast (below), around the 10-minute mark.
What the video appears to confirm is that tyrannical Australian authorities are:
1) Not releasing people after they “serve” a 14-day forced quarantine. (You can check in but you never check out.)
2) Threatening to “gas” prisoners if they don’t obey. It’s not clear from the video whether this “gas” involves gassing someone with tear gas or a Zyklon B-like death gas, but in either case, it is a gross violation of fundamental human rights.
Global human rights organizations are mysteriously silent on all this, and in America, the so-called American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) has utterly abandoned civil liberties and is now endorsing vaccine and mask mandates for everyone.
The video from Australia reveals the horrifying mental health consequences of being interned in what is essentially a covid death camp, where one of the occupants on this video explains, “you can’t get air” in the enclosed, sealed rooms. His fellow prisoner is screaming, “Take me somewhere where the walls aren’t caving in,” revealing the mental health consequences of involuntary covid confinement under an authoritarian medical police state.
Completely healthy, innocent people are deemed a public health threat merely for “testing positive” via a fraudulent PCR test
What’s even more disturbing with all this is how the tyrannical Australian government determines which people to medically kidnap and throw into these covid death camps. You merely need to test “positive” via a fraudulent PCR test to be flagged and incarcerated, even if you show no symptoms of sickness and are perfectly healthy.
Based on a fraudulent PCR test, in other words, you can be denied your right to freedom and thrown into a covid internment camp while being subjected to mental and physical torture by the cruel authorities that run the prison camps.
This is already happening in Australia, and this practice will soon be well underway in America as the CDC has already announced its plans for “green zone” covid death camps where no one leaves alive.

(Natural News) The world we know is rapidly collapsing into a totalitarian medical police state where governments claim the power to constantly monitor your location and your compliance with their demanded medical interventions.
As InfoWars reported yesterday, the government of South Australia is now experimenting with a bizarre, Orwellian system that would require citizens to carry government-mandated apps on their phones, then respond to government requests for face photos and proof of your location within 15 minutes of being “pinged” by the government. In other words, you’d be a prisoner in your own country, constantly surveilled by the government and required to snap photos of your face to prove you are where your phone is currently located.
But it gets even worse.
Pfizer is now pushing an ivermectin clone drug that will likely cost a hundred times more than ivermectin, and it’s designed to be taken daily, alongside mandated vaccines. Not only is ivermectin being trashed by the media and the White House in order to clear the way for this ivermectin replacement drug (which will enrich Pfizer with tens of billions of dollars in new revenue), but you’ll be required to prove you’re taking it on a daily basis, or you will lose your “vaccine passport” status.
Got it yet? It all started with “two weeks to flatten the curve,” followed by, “take these two shots to gain your freedom.” But now it has morphed into THREE shots (the booster, remember?), with a fourth booster coming soon, a daily Pfizer drug, and soon a government location-tracking app that you have to use to prove your compliance with the drugs and the vaccines.
Before long, you’ll have to pee on your iPhone which will ship with a sensor that detects medication compliance in your urine.
(I don’t know about you, but I think we’d all be better off we were to just sh#t on our
iPhones and be done with it.)
The ultimate goal is constant government surveillance of your location, your vaccine compliance, your medication compliance, your speech compliance, your thought compliance, and your total worship and obedience of the medical police state regime that’s killing you.
That was the whole point behind the Theranos analysis instrument that was being pushed by that fraudulent company — it was designed to monitor your blood on a daily basis, then upload your blood biomarkers and gene sequencing blueprint to deep state servers. The Theranos equipment was really just a blood monitoring/surveillance system disguised as a medical analysis instrument.
Remember, all the people currently going along with vaccines, mask mandates, and social distancing will gladly comply with government monitoring of their medication compliance and locations. They almost worship obedience and can’t wait to have yet more opportunities to comply with tyranny on a daily basis.
Over the next several years, of course, many of those people will be dead, having killed themselves with “vaccine” injections that weren’t vaccines at all, but rather deadly bioweapons.
If you want to survive all this, you need to evade the government monitoring systems, avoid the deadly vaccines, say NO to the toxic medications, and defend your privacy and natural immune system with nutrition and detoxification.
We are now living under an attempted global mass murder scheme that’s playing out like clockwork. It is survivable, but perhaps a billion or more human beings will not make it out alive. Afghanistan: Biometric data collected by US military and Afghan government now in hands of Taliban

Not only does the Taliban have lists of the names and phone numbers of every Afghan who worked for US in the past two decades, but the Taliban is also in possession of sophisticated biometric data machines (Handheld Interagency Identity Detection Equipment-HIIDE). The implications are disastrous.
HIIDE devices contain identifying biometric data such as iris scans and fingerprints, as well as biographical information, and are used to access large centralized databases.
US Marine Special Operations Command veteran Peter Kiernan stated: “We would go into villages and enroll people into this biometric data system.” Thousands a day.
Kiernan went on to say — in part — how this information was used:
…in identifying bomb-makers, while it was also used to confirm the identities of contractors and locals working with the US military.
In 2016, the Taliban “used a biometric reader to identify bus passengers who were members of the security services in a violent ambush that claimed 12 lives.”
It’s not only Afghans who are now in danger. Kiernan warned that beyond the contractors and locals, it is “probable that the Taliban have access to some of the coalition’s biometric data” as well.
An Army Special Operations veteran also disclosed another enemy that has long posed as a friend to America: Pakistan. He stated that “the Taliban may need additional tools to process the HIIDE data,” and expressed concerns that the Pakistani Spy Agency ISI “would assist with this.”
In light of Biden’s disastrous incompetence, also worrying is that he previously proposed a budget for 2022 which sought “more than $11 million to purchase 95 new biometric collection devices expanding upon those used in Afghanistan and Iraq.” What he intends to do with these purchases isn’t disclosed, only the capability of the devices:
“This updated database will make it more efficient for warfighters to collect, identify and neutralize the enemy,” wrote Col. Senodja Sundiata-Walker, project manager for the Pentagon’s biometrics program.
But as we see in the case of the biometric data in Afghanistan, the database could easily fall into the wrong hands.
Add the HIIDE equipment to the billions of dollars worth of American aircraft, equipment and weaponry that are now at the Taliban’s disposal.
Joe Biden is so incredibly incompetent that his debacle in Afghanistan increasingly resembles deliberate sabotage.

“You had a device about 12 inches by six inches wide. It would scan their fingerprints, it would scan their retina, it would also take a picture of them.”
It’s been a busy week for Mr Kiernan. In Afghanistan, he was in charge of 12 local interpreters. Some are still in the country when we speak, and he’s trying to help them leave.
For those who worked with US forces, leaving is a matter of urgency.
A United Nations document recently seen by the BBC says the Taliban are intensifying their hunt for people who worked for, and collaborated with, Nato and US forces.
And the giant stores of biometric data collected by both the US military and the Afghan government could, some argue, pose a risk to those facing reprisals.

Mississippi Orders People With COVID to Isolate or Face Fines and/or Jail

Mississippians who get infected with COVID-19 must self-isolate at home as soon as they become aware of their illness, or face fines and/or imprisonment, the state’s health officer ordered on Friday.
In his isolation order, Mississippi State Health Officer Thomas Dobbs said that people are expected to remain home for 10 days after becoming ill or testing positive for COVID-19, regardless of whether they are fully vaccinated or whether they experience any symptoms.
The order reads:
All persons, including fully vaccinated individuals, infected with COVID-19 must remain in the home or other appropriate residential location for 10 days from onset of illness (or 10 days from the date of a positive test for those who are asymptomatic).
The order added that quarantined people would not have to show a negative COVID-19 test to end isolation at the end of 10 days, but do need to be fever-free for at least 24 hours “with an improvement of other symptoms.” The rule is also to be applied to all K-12 school students and staff who would be prohibited from entering school premises.
The order states that refusal to comply would be viewed as a misdemeanor “at minimum,” punishable by a fine of $500 or imprisonment for six months, or both. However, the order provides that “if a life-threatening disease is involved,” failure or refusal to obey the rule would be considered a felony, punishable by a fine of up to $5,000 or imprisonment for up to five years, or both.
While isolating, people must limit household contacts, and ideally stay away from others in a separate room, having no guests and wearing a facemask when outside of the room.
The order includes a link to the CDC guidance on preventing transmission at home. Among other provisions, the CDC recommends wearing masks to everyone who is older than two, not just around other cohabitants, but also around pets, not sharing personal items such as dishes, and wearing disposable gloves.
State Epidemiologist Dr. Paul Byers warned Mississippi has the highest number of new COVID-19 cases per 100,000 residents in the nation and stood at 843 cases per 100,000 in the last seven days.
Neither of Mississippi’s top health officials mentioned any scientific evidence supporting the measures provided in the order, such as the number of cases of asymptomatic transmission, which may be as low as zero, according to one of the largest studies conducted on the issue. Given that up to 45 percent of people who contracted COVID-19 experience no symptoms at all, a large portion of them would be cut off from their regular routine for no reason.
Then, the order raises questions on facemasks’ effectiveness. For example, it is unclear why infected people can’t leave home and participate in everyday life if they wear masks, which have been touted as one of the most effective measures of preventing the COVID-19 transition. The CDC recommends everyone to wear a mask in most indoor settings “even if you do not feel sick,” citing “several studies” that have found that people with COVID-19 who never develop symptoms and those who are not yet showing symptoms (pre-symptomatic) can still spread the virus to others. “Wearing a mask helps protect those around you, in case you are infected but not showing symptoms,” it is noted. Logically, the rule would apply to the known positive cases, but it does not.
The order does not mention the high degree of inaccuracy of COVID-19 tests, and the high number of “false positives,” brilliantly explained by New York Times science reporter Apoorva Mandavilli. Per her report, up to 90 percent of people testing positive carry barely any virus to transmit it to others, and, therefore, had no need to be isolated. In fact, the COVID-19 tests are so unreliable, the Food and Drug Administration quietly recalled thousands of them in late July, applying a so-called Class I recall, meaning the use of “these devices may cause serious injuries or death.”
The isolation order comes with the rollout of COVID-19 mandates in the state. Just recently, Mississippi’s only academic medical center, the University of Mississippi Medical Center, has amended its vaccination policy to make COVID-19 inoculation a condition of employment. “COVID-19 in Mississippi is a raging wildfire but not everyone is helping throw water on the flames in their own backyard,” the announcement says while adding it is crucial “to unite to combat a common enemy — the most vicious pandemic any of us have ever experienced.”
On August 12, Governor Tate Reeves expanded Mississippi’s state of emergency for 30 more days in order to ease the process of procuring additional resources, to allow the healthcare system to continue to transfer patients to hospitals where treatment is available, to ensure expanded access to telemedicine, and to keep options open for use of the Mississippi National Guard, per local media.

In a widely-circulated Homeland Security warning, the federal government declared that anyone who opposes vaccines, masks, social distancing or lockdowns poses a “potential terror threat” to society at large. Dubbed a “National Terrorism Alert” by CIA-run NBC News, the warning also insists that anyone who thinks there was fraud in the 2020 election might also be a terrorist.
Never mind the fact that Democrats and the left-wing media spent the last four years decrying total fraud during the 2016 election, claiming “the Russians” stole the election. Back then, such declarations were declared to be patriot… but today, they’re considered terrorism.
According to the criminally-run government that has deployed biological weapons against its own people, it’s not “extreme” to demand mass injections with experimental, deadly spike protein bioweapons shots, but it’s totally extreme to resist being suicided via vaccine. The memo even warns that new lockdowns and restrictions are coming, and anyone who opposes them is a terrorist by default:

This “national terrorism alert” from DHS is really just an admission that the deep state plans to launch false flag attacks in America and blame the unvaccinated. No doubt the FBI is rapidly recruiting crisis actors to firebomb a hospital (or some such thing) while CNN’s cameras capture the staged action and broadcast their propaganda around the world. The actors throwing the Molotov cocktails will, of course, all be on the FBI payroll and dressed in MAGA gear in order to demonize Trump supporters at the same time.
The purpose of the DHS warning is to set the narrative in advance of their own event, and we should carefully note they’ve given themselves almost 90 days (until Nov. 11th) to pull this off.
Astonishingly, this announcement by DHS that half of Americans are suddenly terrorists is nothing less than a declaration of war against the American people. This illegitimate government — which only stole power by rigging the 2020 election — now sees the people it claims to represent as enemy combatants to be targeted and destroyed.
While the American people are being demonized and targeted, the U.S. southern border remains wide open (on purpose) so that the nation can be flooded with millions of illegal aliens who will replace the soon-to-be-dead Democrat voters who have lined up to commit vaccine suicide. As obedient, brain-dead Democrats die from Antibody-Dependent Enhancement, they will be replaced by a wave of illegals who will be handed voting rights in order to try to keep Democrats in power.
The deep state plans to use their upcoming false flag event as a way to criminalize all anti-vaccine speech and declare a medical/military dictatorship in America, with troops running highway checkpoints that demand to see your vaccine papers any time you cross a state boundary. - Leave your weapons at home. Any weapons you bring to a protest will be used to incarcerate you as a “terrorist” once they stage the attack and blame you for carrying it out.
- Do not trespass onto private property, and specifically watch out for provocateurs trying to get a crowd of angry people to attack a hospital, clinic or some similar establishment. The FBI has likely already staged dead bodies inside the hospital (dressed as doctors and nurses) and anyone caught trespassing will be charged with acts of terrorism and murder.
- Video record everything. Wear a recorder and keep it running at all times. If a false flag event takes place and you have a video recording, understand that the complicit FBI will immediately move to confiscate all video recording devices so they can cover up their crimes (just like they did with the 9/11 videos of the missile strike on the Pentagon). If possible, secure your micro SD cards in a safe place on your body. The FBI is unlikely to strip search citizens and will likely focus on confiscation of mobile devices.

The Social Media Giants Find A Violent Extremist: Me~So since I watch terrorists, I’ve been watching myself.

As the director of Jihad Watch, I have an ongoing interest in the activities of violent extremists, and have been tracking those activities daily for eighteen years now. But now, in their benevolence, Facebook, Microsoft, Twitter, and YouTube have made it easier than ever with their Global Internet Forum to Counter Terrorism (GIFCT): all I have to do is look in the mirror.
The GIFCT means to wipe out the groups it targets. Tyler O’Neil explains at PJ Media that GIFCT “shares terrorism data among Big Tech companies, enabling them to flag and remove terrorist content,” and is stepping up these operations: “On Monday, GIFCT announced that it significantly expanded the types of extremist content in its database, aiming to crack down on material from white supremacists and far-right militias.”
It’s about time, right? Those white supremacists and far-right militias have been rioting with impunity in Portland, and Seattle, and – oh, wait, that was the noble ideological heirs of the heroes of World War II. But we don’t have to guess who they have in mind: the GIFCT offers a helpful list of the dangerous groups from which it is going to save us.
At the highest level, Level 3, are the groups GIFCT classifies as actual bloodthirsty, grade-A certified dangerous terrorists: Boogaloo Boys, Ku Klux Klan, the National Socialist Network, Al-Qaeda, the Islamic State, even the Irish Republican Army. But that’s not all that the intrepid warriors of the GIFCT are going after. Once you’ve reached Level 3, the problem has advanced way too far, anyway. The GIFCT aims to nip terrorism in the bud by also targeting Level 2, “Violent Extremism,” which includes groups that are just below terrorist group status, but moving up the charts with a bullet: Blood & Honour, Oath Keepers, Proud Boys, and…Jihad Watch.
Perhaps even more surprising than the inclusion of Jihad Watch on this list is the fact that Antifa is also listed at Level 2. The likelihood of the social media giants moving in on Antifa is about as likely as Nancy Pelosi being Trump’s running mate in 2024, but it does help put things in perspective. Antifa has been openly calling for and applauding violence in cities all over the country, and as far as the counter-terror “experts” at the GIFCT are concerned, they’re on par with an organization that is dedicated to tracking jihad terror activity and elucidating its motivating ideology. Unlike Antifa, neither I nor Jihad Watch has ever called for or approved of any violence or illegal activity of any kind. But another way we differ from Antifa is that establishment media stooges aren’t falling all over themselves likening us to the men (you may remember what those were) who stormed the Normandy beaches on June 6, 1944. The likelihood that Jihad Watch will be targeted for being on the GIFCT’s list, and Antifa given another pass, is about 100%.
On the morning I found out that I was a violent extremist, I discovered that violent extremists sometimes enjoy a bit of yogurt for breakfast, try to fit in a good long walk, and spend a lot of the day typing. It was a bit more sedentary, and definitely filled with less death-defying adventure, than I expected for an official “violent extremist.” With all the time I sit here facing this infernal machine, the GIFCT may think I’m at work on my “manifesto,” for they say they’re going to make sure that “Manifestos from terrorist and violent extremist attackers” are removed from the Internet, but that doesn’t mean that they won’t be intensely scrutinized, for “a wide range of experts on expanding the reach and impact of our hash-sharing database’s taxonomy in order to respond to terrorist content online across the ideological spectrum.”
Hey, great. Let me start you folks off on the right foot. Here’s my Manifesto, GIFCT, straight from one of your designated “violent extremists.” Get your experts on this, and make sure they study it carefully. Ready? Here it is:

That’s it. You like it? It took me months to get the precise formulation of my “violent extremist” ideas. And just because I have so much respect for your violent extremist-hunting prowess, GIFCT wonks, here’s a bonus. Here’s what I want for America and the world: the freedom of speech. The freedom of conscience. The equality of rights of all people before the law.
Yeah, I know that messes with you Communists’ sugar-plum visions of racial strife, civil war, and the dissolution of America as a unitary nation-state. And that may be the clue to all of this madness. Violent extremists and their enablers want to make sure they have a free hand, and one strategy to get it was delineated in the Marxists’ tested-and-true playbook: accuse your enemy of that which you’re guilty of doing. Could it be that my organization been designated a violent extremist group because some people have a bit of violent extremism planned and want to make sure that anyone who might speak out against them is silenced and cleared away?
Stranger things have happened. Meanwhile, if I disappear from the net, and from the streets, someday soon, you’ll know that the good folks at the GIFCT have done their job. One less violent extremist will be menacing the rest of us. And we will all be able to breathe a sigh of relief over that. Won’t we?

The Department of Homeland Security offers a training course to law enforcement, health care workers, and other government employees detailing how to prepare and execute a mass public quarantine in rural areas of the United States.
A website by the Rural Domestic Preparedness Consortium (RDPC), a training provider for the Department of Homeland Security, says:
“This 8.0-hour, instructor-led course is designed to provide the knowledge necessary to begin planning for situations requiring the isolation and quarantine (I&Q) of a large portion of a local, rural population. This training will provide public- and private-sector emergency managers, community policymakers, public health, and public safety personnel with the general knowledge necessary to begin planning for situations requiring the isolation and quarantine of a large portion of a local, rural population. A rural community’s ability to collectively respond to an emergency requiring isolation and quarantine is not only essential to minimizing the negative impacts to the community at risk, but also to minimizing the long-term negative economic and health effects on the American public as a whole.”
“This program was supported by Cooperative Agreement Number EMW-2016-CA-0097, administered by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security/Federal Emergency Management Agency, National Preparedness Directorate, National Training & Education Division.” A disclaimer reads: “Points of view or opinions in this program are those of the author(s) and do not represent the position or policies of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security/Federal Emergency Management Agency.”
“Core Capabilities” recommended for course participants include environmental response/health and safety, on-scene security and protection, operational communications, operations coordination, planning, public health, healthcare and emergency medical services, risk management for protection, programs, and activities, situational assessment, and supply chain integrity and security. However, the only solid prerequisite to gain the “knowledge necessary” in the 8-hour course is that the “participant must be a U.S. citizen.”
Module Two of the course overview entitled Legal and Ethical Issues of Isolation and Quarantine says: “This module focuses on the legal and ethical considerations of isolation and quarantine. The federal, state and local government legal authorities regarding isolation and quarantine responses will be covered. Due process of law regarding isolation and quarantine will also be reviewed.”
Each student is required “to participate in and pass a course post-assessment with a score of 70% or better to meet the course completion requirements. Each student who meets all of the course completion requirements will receive a pre-approved, Rural Domestic Preparedness Consortium (RDPC) certificate of completion stamped with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) logo.”
It is unclear what authority bearers of this certificate wield, or the limits thereof.
A Lake County, Illinois Health Department document entitled Community Health Ambassador Outreach Door Knocking Project to Increase COVID Vaccine Acceptance contains “information and a script” that stresses: “You are not soliciting. Because you are not seeking an order for any goods or services, you are not considered a solicitor. Therefore, ‘No Solicitation’ signs do not apply to you while you are performing this activity.”
The document continues: “After you enter the building, orient yourself so you systematically proceed from floor-to-floor, covering each wing. Utilize the tally sheet to keep count of those interested in getting the vaccine, those who refuse and those with further questions.”
The document also advises participants to “report on your work! Be sure to fill out the Doorknocking Spreadsheet with the counts of who still needs a vaccine … This is important information that the Health Department is relying on!”
Meanwhile, in the words of breaking911.com, North Carolina health department workers “armed” with COVID-19 shots lurked nearby as Action NC volunteers went door to door, plying their target neighborhoods with the experimental biological agent.
“Action NC’s mission is to confront and reduce the root causes of poverty, underdevelopment, and social and economic inequality through grassroots education, training, organization and mobilization.
We organize in poor and working-income communities full of talented and committed people looking for an opportunity to work together to build a stronger and more secure future. We reach out to them in a variety of ways to offer them the opportunity to join, organize, fight, and win.”
“The purpose of these campaigns is to win improvements and to build power,” Action NC’s mission statement says, concluding: “as our members work to build our organization, we also look for opportunities to partner effectively with others so that we can present a stronger and more united front in our specific campaigns, and in our collective drive for justice and equality.”
In a 2017 article appearing on the Action NC website entitled How Trump has trumped your rights, author Kevin Rogers wrote: “Since Donald Trump has taken office, every policy that has been suggested or imposed has received fierce backlash from a majority of the country.”
The Rise Of a Secret Unaccountable Police Force in America

Our founders knew that concentrating too much power in any one federal agency – especially a law enforcement agency – could lead to a tyrannical police state. It was one of their greatest fears. After all, they knew a thing or two about tyranny, and it was something they wanted to avoid at all costs.
As a result, today’s federal law enforcement agencies have very limited authority and very specific missions: Border Patrol patrols the borders, of course; DEA investigates narcotics; and the ATF enforces archaic alcohol, tobacco, firearms, and explosives laws. The FBI has by far the broadest powers, but it too is constrained by a very specific set of rules and guidelines from the U.S. Attorney General – a process called predication. Contrary to what’s depicted on television, before FBI special agents can swoop in and take over a case, they must first have a federal predicate – they must believe that a federal crime or national security threat exists before they can investigate.
All of these federal agencies are transparent and accountable to the public, although some more so than others. They’re all subject to the federal Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), which was signed into law in 1966, and they routinely publish annual reports as well as internal investigations by their inspectors general.
All federal law enforcement agencies keep the public informed of their activities – all except one.
If you want to create a secret police force, the U.S. Capitol Police would be a good choice, since they’re already halfway there. The agency has scant oversight. It’s shrouded in secrecy and refuses to change.
The United States Capitol Police (USCP) is part of the legislative branch, which is exempt from FOIA requirements. Because they report to Congress, the USCP believes they too are exempt from FOIA. I should point out by way of comparison that even the CIA is subject to FOIA. Additionally, the USCP publishes no annual reports, and even the findings of its own inspector general are kept secret and not made public.
The mission of the USCP is to “Protect the Congress – its members, employees, visitors, and facilities – so it can fulfill its constitutional and legislative responsibilities in a safe, secure and open environment,” so you would think that the agency would focus its enforcement efforts in Washington, D.C., but that is no longer the case.
Congress is now seeking to nationalize the USCP by creating “field offices” in different states. Two field offices are planned for now, but more are coming.
“The new USCP field offices will be in the Tampa and San Francisco areas. At this time, Florida and California are where the majority of our potential threats are,” the agency announced in an email last week.
These new field offices will be used to “investigate threats” made against members of Congress, Acting USCP Chief Yogananda Pittman announced last week.
Clearly, Pittman and the agency she heads are reeling from the events of Jan. 6th 2021. In her press release titled: “After the Attack: The Future of the U.S. Capitol Police,” Pittman spells out some of the changes that have already taken place. While the chief announced the acquisition of two new “wellness support dogs” – Lila and Filip – a “pivot towards an intelligence-based protective agency,” the purchase of new riot helmets, shields, and less-than-lethal munitions. Note that she did not identify the types of threats her officers will investigate in their newly created regional offices.
The one thing that is clear, given the USCP’s penchant for secrecy, the public will never know what they’re up to.
Secret Police Force ~ Chain of Command
Since it was founded in 1828, seven USCP officers have died in the line of duty. Today, the USCP has more than 2,300 officers and civilian employees, and an annual budget of more than $460 million.
To say that the agency has a muddled chain of command would be an understatement.
The USCP is overseen by the Capitol Police board, as well as four committees from the House and Senate. The Capitol Police Board consists of the Sergeants-at-Arms from the House and Senate, the Architect of the Capitol, Mr. J. Brett Blanton, and Chief Pittman, who serves as an ex-officio member.
Congressional oversight comes from the House Committee on Appropriations, Subcommittee on Legislative Branch, the Committee on House Administration, the Senate Committee on Appropriations, Subcommittee on Legislative Branch, and the Senate Committee on Rules and Administration.
All of these committees are currently chaired by Democrats.
Chief Pittman reports directly to the Capitol Police Board, which is subordinate to the four congressional committees. None of these boards or committees are subject to federal FOIA requirements or are otherwise accountable to the public.
U.S. Capitol Police History of Secrecy
Demand Progress is a left-of-center internet-activist nonprofit 501(c)4, which advocates for online freedom, civil liberties, and transparency in government, among other things.
In June of last year, the group sent a letter to the chairs and ranking members of USCP’s congressional oversight committees, calling for greater transparency and accountability within the agency.
It noted the cozy and “often personal” relationship that exists between the USCP and their congressional protectees. “This is a relationship that arises from privilege, and we would hope that all interactions with the USCP would go as smoothly as those they have with elected officials and senior staff.”
The letter also pointed out that the USCP, “provides little public information about its activities; is under no statutory obligation (such as a Freedom of Information law) to answer record requests from the public; does not publish an annual report on its activities; does not publish reports from its oversight body, the Capitol Police Board, nor the USCP Inspector General; does not proactively publish its annual statistical summary of complaints drawn from Office of Professional Responsibility records; and only began in December 2018 publishing sparse information concerning its weekly arrests. The agency issued only 15 press releases in 2019; has never used its Twitter account; and, while we have been able to determine there is a daily Department News Summary, that document has not been made available despite our requests. In addition, repeated efforts to meet with Capitol Police Chief Steven A. Sund concerning the USCP’s agenda have been rebuffed, and the Public Information Office is unhelpful and unresponsive.”
The USCP’s media office did not return calls and emails seeking their comments for this story, either.
Demand Progress also found that “the USCP routinely goes beyond the mission of protecting Congress, both in terms of the people they interact with and the role that they play. Capitol Police officers make arrests on and off the Capitol complex, with nearly 10% of annual arrests made at Union Station; a significant number of arrests are for traffic violations or drug use; and the majority of ‘incidents’ occur outside of business hours. When the USCP is acting in a law enforcement capacity, it should be held to similar standards as other law enforcement agencies. When it acts like a federal agency, it should be held to account like all federal agencies.”
The group called on USCP to publish annual reports similar to local police departments, to create a FOIA process, to publish Inspector General reports, to publish its internal complaint process, and to start using its social media accounts.
Secret Police Force Takeaways
To be clear:
- The U.S. Capitol Police operates in secret.
- The U.S. Capitol Police is not accountable to the public.
- The U.S. Capitol Police has little oversight, given its “personal relationship” with Congress.
- The U.S. Capitol Police has a history of operating outside of its scope – such as making drug arrests off capitol grounds.
- The U.S. Capitol Police will soon be operating in many states with a mandate that’s nebulous at best.
If you add all of these factors together, you end up with a secret police force that is ripe for abuse – a team of modern-day witch hunters willing to do whatever the politicians in charge desire.
It all comes down to whom they consider a threat.
We all know what the Biden/Harris administration and Democratic congressional leaders think of gun owners. Once you disagree with their gun-confiscation plans you’re labeled a “violent extremist.” Are we now going to become the subject of secret police investigations? Will our calls, emails, and get-togethers be monitored? Are our civil rights up for violating? How would we even know? You can’t FOIA the USCP for documents bearing your name like you can the FBI and local law enforcement.
I am less concerned about civil rights abuse from the federal law enforcement agencies that are part of the Justice Department – except for ATF, of course – because there are usually enough safeguards in place to prevent their misuse. Besides, I’ve seen firsthand how the Justice Department reacts when news of an agency with a pattern and practice of civil rights abuse is published. I’ve personally watched the DOJ take over the prison system and a state mental hospital in Delaware, as well as the entire police department of a U.S. Territory, once the abuse of their civil rights was revealed. But that’s the Justice Department. The USCP reports to Congress, which has a rather contemptuous history of allowing civil rights abuse to fester until it can no longer be ignored.
And the sad part is that this whole crazy scheme isn’t even necessary. Local law enforcement is handled best by local officers, certainly not secret federal police.
The bottom line is this: America was founded on personal freedoms and individual liberties. We certainly don’t need to create an American version of the KGB, Stasi, or Mukhabarat.
If you think this is too farfetched or that it can’t happen here, wait till one of Joe Biden’s door-to-door goons asks to see your vaccine passport. Maybe that will change your mind.

Who’s the Fascist? Biden Admin Wants Text Messages Policed for Vaccine “Misinformation”

Fascism founding father Benito Mussolini once summarized his ideology thus: “All within the state, nothing outside the state, nothing against the state.” This comes to mind when considering that the Democrat establishment has been doing an end-run around the First Amendment, using Big Tech as a proxy to stifle dissenting views. Now there’s a new front in this battle, too:
The Biden administration is calling on SMS (Short Message Service) carriers to monitor and “fact check” text messages for vaccine “misinformation.”
Because, of course, communications company techies are perfectly situated to be infallible Ministers of Truth on all things COVID.
Sarcasm aside, how will they determine what’s vaccine “misinformation”? Answer: They don’t have to. They’ll simply enforce the official government line. As Fox News host Tucker Carlson pointed out last night, “misinformation” is now anything the government disagrees with.
Ergo, the end-run around the Constitution.
Moreover, this comes after learning that the administration intends to send government agents door-to-door in neighborhoods with low vaccination rates to “encourage” the reluctant to take the shot.
As for the text-message-targeting endeavor, White House COVID response coordinator Jeff Zients related the “logic” behind it. “Organizations that are feeding misinformation and trying to mischaracterize this type of trusted-messenger work [regarding vaccines and by health officials] … are doing a disservice to the country and to the doctors, the faith leaders, community leaders, and others who are working to get people vaccinated, save lives, and help end this pandemic,” he claimed at a news conference last week.
Subsequently, on Monday, Politico reported the following:
Biden allied groups, including the Democratic National Committee, are also planning to engage fact-checkers more aggressively and work with SMS carriers to dispel misinformation about vaccines that is sent over social media and text messages. The goal is to ensure that people who may have difficulty getting a vaccination because of issues like transportation see those barriers lessened or removed entirely.
“We are steadfastly committed to keeping politics out of the effort [huh?] to get every American vaccinated so that we can save lives and help our economy further recover,” White House spokesperson Kevin Munoz said. “When we see deliberate efforts to spread misinformation, we view that as an impediment to the country’s public health and will not shy away from calling that out.”

Gateway Pundit points out that this is the next, quite predictable, step in the high-tech iron-muzzling of America. Just consider that for decades the Left has controlled information flow in academia, the media, and entertainment; more recently it seized Big Tech. Now, and this is feasible with corporate America having become a left-wing bastion, the feds want to, by proxy, police text messages (video on this development below).
To understand what’s next, just project the lines. Unless this censorship process is halted, why wouldn’t e-mails and other communication forms also be subject to “fact check”? After all, if vaccine “misinformation” really presents a national existential threat, it must be intercepted everywhere it rears its ugly head, right?
As mentioned before, however, the authorities have an odd notion of “misinformation.” I recently reported on Jacob Clynick, a 13-year-old boy with no known health problems who died of heart issues three days after taking his second coronavirus shot. I have a sexagenarian friend who’s now on medication to treat heart inflammation that developed after taking the vaccine. And during the last week, I spoke to a 70-year-old man who began experiencing cardiac symptoms after getting the needle and then suffered a heart attack two months later. (He admits that one can’t know definitively if it was caused by the shot, but he’s suspicious.)
These are anecdotes, of course, but note that I don’t interact with many people personally and didn’t search these individuals out; they volunteered their stories, stories that accord with warnings we’ve heard about myocarditis among the vaccinated. Then there are the reports of some people developing Guillain-Barre syndrome (GBS), which can cause paralysis, after taking SARS-CoV-2 shots.
The latter isn’t unprecedented, either: Hundreds of people developed GBS after taking the flu vaccine in 1976. Back then, this was enough to inspire the Gerald Ford administration to halt its massive influenza vaccination program.
Yet the country has changed. There certainly are rational reasons to ask questions about China virus vaccines and for many people (notably the young) to, after a cost-benefit analysis, refuse them. Despite this, we’re just supposed to shut up and obey.
In fact, let’s say you’re interested in learning about the vaccines’ downside “and looked it up from the [Biden] administration’s own official websites, starting with the VAERS database,” said Tucker Carlson last night. “You’re no longer allowed to text what you find on their database to other people in this country — the country you were born in. Your private conversations will be controlled by the DNC. Is that the picture of a free country?”
Perhaps not. But it may be the picture of a place where all is within the state, nothing’s outside the state, and nothing’s against the state.
Say, who, again, are the fascists?
Biden Deploys Becerra Brigades~The white coat supremacy sturmtruppen are coming to your door.

Joe Biden will deploy special squads to knock on doors in the quest to “educate” unvaccinated Americans, and Health and Human Services secretary Xavier Becerra is down with it. “The federal government has spent trillions of dollars to try to keep Americans alive during this pandemic. So it is absolutely the government’s business,” Becerra explains, and “knocking on doors has never been against the law.”
As they await the gentle tap, the people should know that Becerra has his own issues with the law, and the HHS boss has never shown much concern about keeping Americans alive. As Deion Kathawa notes at American Greatness, the California attorney general was a rather odd choice for the HHS job.
After a video by pro-life activist David Daleiden exposed Planned Parenthood’s sale of body parts from aborted babies, Becerra did nothing to stop that ghastly trade and instead charged Daleiden with 15 felonies. The California attorney general also sued the Little Sisters of the Poor, as Kathawa explains, “because their Catholic faith compelled them not to be complicit in the sale of contraceptives under Obamacare.” With other groups, attorney general Becerra proved more lenient.
In Mendota, near Fresno, the MS-13 gang imposed a reign of terror, committing at least 14 murders, with some victims hacked to death before they could testify. Federal authorities spearheaded the case against the gang, and Becerra only showed up after the feds arrested 25 MS-13 gangsters. The attorney general made it clear he was not concerned about the gang’s “status.”
In similar style, the murder of police officers Ronil Singh and Brian Ishmael, both by illegal aliens, prompted little concern for the slain officers and no outcry against “gun violence.” The murders did not prompt attorney general Becerra to launch a campaign against criminal illegals, who enjoy sanctuary in California. These issues did not surface in Becerra’s HHS hearing, and neither did the curious case that led to his surprising departure from Washington in 2016.
Rep. Becerra, once on Hillary Clinton’s shortlist as a running mate, headed the House Democratic Caucus and was in charge of its server. The Democrat’s IT man Imran Awan had access to that computer, and that was a problem. The unvetted Awan could not possibly have qualified for a security clearance but he enjoyed access to the computers of 45 members of Congress, including members of the House Intelligence and Foreign Affairs committees.
When investigators from the Capitol Police requested the server under Becerra’s control, they got only false information. Becerra, reportedly in line for a key post on the House Ways and Means Committee, bolted for California, where Gov. Jerry Brown tapped him for attorney general. In that role, Becerra upheld sanctuary policies and filed more than 100 lawsuits against the Trump administration, at a cost of $41 million.
For his part, Imran Awan became a subject for Frank Miniter, author of Spies in Congress, and Luke Rosiak, author of Obstruction of Justice: How the Deep State Risked National Security to Protect Democrats. That book, along with the Daily Caller, became the target of a lawsuit by Imran Awan. Democrats rushed to the barricades in his defense.
“Congress Pays $850,000 to Muslim Aides Targeted in Inquiry Stoked by Trump,” read the November 25, 2020 New York Times headline. According to the story, the previously unreported settlement is one of the largest to resolve discrimination or harassment claims, in this case by people who “lost their jobs and endured harassment in part because of their Muslim faith and South Asian origins.” In this narrative, Awan’s computer capers had little if anything to do with it, and the award doubtless sinks any prospect for a full investigation.
In these conditions, Democrats believed it was safe to bring Becerra back to Washington. He was unqualified to head HHS but for Democrats, Trump Derangement Syndrome, disregard for national security, and ancestry on the Iberian peninsula of Europe (“Latino”) all count as qualifications. Republican Sen. Susan Collins voted to confirm Becerra, the worst possible choice for the people but ideal for the Democrats and their regime of white coat supremacy (WCS).
Under a WCS regime, unelected medical bureaucrats override the people’s constitutional rights and basic freedoms. The nation’s primary white coat supremacist is Dr. Anthony Fauci, whose bio shows no advanced degrees in molecular biology or biochemistry. A government bureaucrat since 1968, Fauci has reversed himself on many aspects of the pandemic but now claims people who criticize him “are actually criticizing science.” In the style of Louis XIV, Fauci claims, “La science, c’est moi.”
This certified megalomaniac is the white coat supremacy fuhrer. With no medical qualifications, and little regard for human life or the law, the misanthropic Xavier Becerra is the perfect choice to command the WCS tactical division.
Americans have grounds to wonder if the HHS sturmtruppen might knock on the doors of the already vaccinated in order to “educate” them in other ways. Becerra’s troops might team up with the FBI, and knock on the doors of some Trump voters, or people who question the 2020 election. Under current conditions, those are signs of domestic terrorism. So if the people thought the HHS troops might knock down some doors it would be hard to blame them.
HHS boss Becerra will doubtless use the campaign to enhance his brand with a view to 2024. As Trump likes to say, we’ll have to see what happens.
FBI Asks Americans To Spy On Own Families And Friends To Prevent ‘Extremism’

The 2019 document contains images commonly associated with radical Islamic terrorism and lists “mobilization indicators” including “communicating directly with violent extremists online.”
Yet there is a distinct ‘Hey Americans, spy on your families for the government’ vibe in the FBI tweet, as numerous detractors noted:

After years of citing potential spying by China via sophisticated drones, the Pentagon has approved the U.S. military to acquire two Chinese-made “Government Edition” drones.
A recent Pentagon report seen by the Hill found “no malicious code or intent” in two drone models manufactured by Da Jiang Innovations (DJI), a Chinese company, and one of the world’s foremost drone makers. The May 6 report, released on Tuesday, concludes that DJI’s drones are “recommended for use by government entities and forces working with U.S. services.”
“This U.S. government report is the strongest confirmation to date of what we, and independent security validations, have been saying for years — DJI drones are safe and secure for government and enterprise operations,” DJI spokesperson Adam Lisberg told the Hill.
Almost 80 percent of all drones used in the United States and Canada are made by DJI.
The Department of Defense green-lighting controversial drones comes after escalating concerns at the federal level around the security of DJI and Chinese drones more broadly.
DJI was added to the Commerce Department’s “entity list” — i.e., the list of bodies considered a “national security concern” — late last year, effectively blacklisting the company.
The specific filing on DJI said the company “enabled wide-scale human rights abuses within China through abusive genetic collection and analysis or high-technology surveillance.” This is likely a reference to DJI’s involvement in providing drones to the Chinese government to surveil detention camps in the Xinjiang province, as detailed in a Bloomberg Businessweek report.
The filing also allows for a “case-by-case review for items necessary to detect, identify and treat infectious disease; presumption of denial for all other items.”
This latest in a series of security measures against foreign drones. Individual U.S. agencies have taken their own measures, including the Pentagon and Department of Justice, while in 2019 the Department of Homeland Security issued an alert that Chinese-made drones were stealing data.
“We know that a lot of the information is sent back to China from those [drones], so it is not something that we can use,” said Ellen Lord, undersecretary of defense for acquisition and sustainment in 2019.
The DHS alleged that Chinese drones can record and store sensitive data — flight paths for example — and transmit it back to Chinese intelligence agencies. Companies using the devices were advised to shut off their network connectivity to avoid theft of information.
“While companies operating within any country are typically expected to comply with applicable law and government regulations, foreign governments may require companies to disclose far more information without significant legal protection for customers,” the bulletin reads. “UAS [unmanned aircraft systems] data is often sent to servers controlled by or accessible to the UAS manufacturing company or third-party application vendor … Data servers run by or accessible to foreign companies, especially those located in foreign countries, may be susceptible to foreign law enforcement and government seizure without the benefit of the types of legal protections under US law.”
The document referenced another industry bulletin titled “Chinese Manufactured Unmanned Aircraft Systems.” That document warned the private industry of Chinese-made UAS-connected devices capable of collecting and transferring data, citing China’s “unusually stringent obligations on its citizens to support national intelligence activities.”
The Justice Department also banned the use of agency grants last year to purchase drones from foreign companies deemed a threat, seeking to address potential cyber and foreign influence threats.
Commenting on the ban, Deputy Attorney General Jeffrey Rosen said that “We take seriously concerns about the use of foreign-made UAS and the potential for related data compromise. It is paramount that funding recipients take effective measures to safeguard sensitive information and the public’s privacy and civil liberties while operating these systems in a safe and secure manner.”
DJI officials denied any such accusations.
Lawmakers are currently weighing restrictions against the use of Chinese drones.
The massive bipartisan U.S. Innovation and Competition Act, which was introduced as a substitute amendment to the Endless Frontier Act last month by Senate Majority Leader Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.), includes the American Security Drone Act.
That latter bill, introduced in the Senate in January by Senator Rick Scott (R-Fl.) and co-sponsored by a bipartisan group of senators, would prohibit the federal government from purchasing drones manufactured by countries deemed to be a threat to the United States, such as China. It would also prohibit local governments from using federal funds to purchase such drones.
At present, most drones are operated under direct human control. Increasingly, though, manufacturers are getting smarter with higher levels of onboard artificial intelligence, building drones capable of carrying out not just landings and takeoffs but entire missions. It remains unclear why the Department of Defense explicitly calls China a “pacing threat,” yet approved the military use of China-manufactured drones that were previously banned by multiple U.S. federal entities over espionage concerns.

DHS made the announcement Friday seeking to clarify what Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas said earlier in response to a question in a television interview. Mayorkas had said the agency was "taking a very close look" at the possibility of vaccine passports as the coronavirus pandemic eases and Americans begin to travel overseas.
Twila Brase of Citizens' Council for Health Freedom suggests Mayorkas "may be talking from what he knows inside his own agency or some thought that they have had and forgetting that President Biden has said, 'No, they're not going to be doing that.'
She adds: "Some of Biden's other staff have also said that they're not going to be doing it as well. However, the Department of Homeland Security is heading up the REAL ID program … and that makes me think that there is perhaps some discussion within the department that they would use the vaccination passport as a way to advance REAL ID, which has been delayed now for another two years."
The REAL ID Act, passed by Congress in 2005, enacted the 9/11 Commission's recommendation that the federal government "set standards for the issuance of sources of identification, such as driver's licenses."
The Act established minimum security standards for license issuance and production and prohibits federal agencies from accepting (for certain purposes) driver's licenses and ID cards from states not meeting the Act's minimum standards.
The ability to board a flight is one area where people might see or hear the need for REAL ID, but Brase is concerned that people might one day be told they need it for health care services.
