(Natural News) Canadian authorities under the leadership of left-wing authoritarian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Ontario Premier Doug Ford have made good on their promise to use force to end a trucker protest that seeks an end to a pointless COVID-19 vaccine mandate.

Heavily armed police using armored vehicles and sporting automatic weapons while also deploying snipers — this Freedom Convoy protest has never been violent, by the way — moved in on Monday to clear an international bridge of trucks, drivers and supporters after they had all essentially been labeled ‘terrorists’ and ‘threats to the national economic interest’ by people who locked down their economies for nearly two years.

Heavily armed police came to the site, including officers from the Windsor Police Service, Ontario Provincial Police, RCMP, and others. There are also armored vehicles and several police cruisers.

Most trucks and other vehicles were cleared from the blockade early in the day, but [the] standoff with protesters on foot continued.

A line of police officers advanced on the protesters around mid-day, pushing them further away from the site of the blockade.

Police said in the afternoon that it had started ticketing and towing vehicles at the protest site.

“The Windsor Police and its policing partners have commenced enforcement at and near the Ambassador Bridge,” the department noted on social media. ‘We urge all demonstrators to act lawfully and peacefully. Commuters are still being asked to avoid the areas affected by the demonstrations at this time.”

“Trudeau had deployed snipers against a peaceful, unarmed protest. Snipers,” wrote Ezra Levant, publisher of the Canada-based Rebel Media.

“Vehicles blocking the Ambassador Bridge pulling out one by one. Still being cheered on by protesters as dozens of police officers have surrounded them,” CBC News reporter Thomas Daigle noted on Twitter.

Protester Domenico Pelle told The Epoch Times that some demonstrators informed police that while they will leave on Monday after being forced out, if the province refuses to lift the COVID-19 vaccine mandates in a couple of days, they are coming back.

“We’re trying to uphold our Charter of Rights and Freedoms out here,” Pelle, a machinist, said at one protest site.

Of course, the tyranny isn’t just on the Canadian side of the border, as evidenced by tweeted remarks from a former Obama administration Department of Homeland Security official.

“The convoy protest, applauded by right wing media as a ‘freedom protest,’ is an economic and security issue now. The Ambassador Bridge link constitutes 28% of annual trade movement between US and Canada,” tweeted Juliette Kayyem. “Slash the tires, empty gas tanks, arrest the drivers, and move the trucks.”

She then doubled down on her tyranny: “Trust me, I will not run out of ways to make this hurt: cancel their insurance; suspend their drivers’ licenses; prohibit any future regulatory certification for truckers, etc. Have we learned nothing? These things fester when there are no consequences,” Kayyem tweeted.

(Natural News) The longer left-wing Western leaders use the COVID-19 pandemic as an excuse to become authoritarians, the less legitimacy their governments will hold with the citizens they mean to rule, and chaos will ensue.

That’s what’s coming to Canada, of all places, thanks to the creeping tyranny of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, who has proven now that he only approves of protests if they support his left-wing political views.

On Monday, Trudeau invoked emergency authorities meant for wartime so he could crush the ongoing Freedom Convoy protests against his insane COVID-19 vaccine mandate, drawing immediate criticism from one of the country’s top civil rights groups.

Among the actions Trudeau is taking include freezing bank accounts of anyone associated with the protests, including Canadians who provide the truckers with any material support — an action normally reserved for dictatorships.

“This is not a peaceful protest,” Trudeau lied during a press conference, adding: “The federal government is stepping in because local police authorities have had difficulty enforcing the law.”

Then he lied again: “This is about keeping Canadians safe, protecting people’s jobs and restoring confidence in our institutions.”

“We are broadening the scope of Canada’s anti-money laundering and terrorist financing rules so that they cover Crowd Funding Platforms and the payment service providers they use,” Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland added.

“This is about following the money. This is about stopping the financing of these illegal blockades,” she said, adding: “A bank or other financial service provider will be able to immediately freeze or suspend an account without a court order.”

Literally, by abusing his authority, Trudeau and his government toadies are undermining “confidence” in Canadian government institutions; Trudeau has effectively implemented martial law in the country, but according to Human Events editor Jack Posobiec, not all Canadian leaders are on board with the tyranny.

“BREAKING: Premiers of Alberta, Manitoba, Quebec, and Saskatchewan oppose Trudeau decision to invoke the Emergencies Act on the truckers,” he tweeted.

In a series of tweets, the Canadian Civil Liberties Association notes:

The federal government has not met the threshold necessary to invoke the Emergencies Act. This law creates a high and clear standard for good reason: the Act allows government to bypass ordinary democratic processes. This standard has not been met.

The Emergencies Act can only be invoked when a situation “seriously threatens the ability of the Government of Canada to preserve the sovereignty, security and territorial integrity of Canada” & when the situation “cannot be effectively dealt with under any other law of Canada.”

Governments regularly deal with difficult situations, and do so using powers granted to them by democratically elected representatives. Emergency legislation should not be normalized. It threatens our democracy and our civil liberties.

It should be plain to more people that their ruling ‘liberal democrats’ are not democratic at all but are instead closet authoritarians using a virus as a means to permanently change the form of government.

If liberty-minded people throughout Western societies don’t stand up now while they can, there will come a time in the not-too-distant future when they won’t be able to at all without bloodshed.

This week, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, the lightweight, unpopular elected leader of a country with a 93% vaccination rate for those over 60 and a total vaccination rate of 84%, announced that he would invoke the Emergencies Act in order to crack down on the Freedom Convoy — a group of protesters opposed to government vaccination mandates for truckers. Trudeau breathily announced that invocation of the law was in fact “reasonable and proportionate.” His public safety minister, Marco Mendicino, said that the actions were required thanks to “intimidation, harassment, and expressions of hate.”

Why the government would need to invoke emergency powers in order to move some trucks remains beyond understanding; after all, the police had just removed trucks from the Ambassador Bridge, reopening that trade artery with the United States. Meanwhile, provinces across Canada have already begun alleviating their COVID-19 restrictions, from vaccine passports to masking. There is no emergency here that would justify use of the Emergencies Act — as even the BBC noted, “It is so far unclear which scenario Mr. Trudeau would rely on to justify the use of the Emergency Act — [the relevant threats have not] been clearly present in Ontario.”

Nonetheless, Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland explained that the government would be extending laws designed to stop terror funding to now encompass crackdowns on political dissent: “Financial service providers will be able to immediately freeze or suspend an account without a court order. In doing so, they will be protected against civil liability for actions taken in good faith.” In plain language, this means that the government of Canada has now empowered banks to freeze accounts who give money to political causes the government doesn’t like.

The move to de-bank disfavored political actors has already been gaining steam — in January 2021, PayPal blocked a Christian crowdfunding site from using its services; the next month, Paypal announced it would work with the Left-wing Southern Poverty Law Center to find users to boot. As one of Paypal’s original creators, David Sacks, wrote, “when your name lands on a No-Buy List created by a consortium of private fintech companies, to whom can you appeal?” In Canada, it’s worse than that: The de-banking has become government sponsored. 

And if Trudeau is able to invoke emergency powers to de-bank his political opponents — people he has labeled racists simply for opposing his vaccine mandates — where, precisely, does this end? What’s to stop powerful political actors from violating liberties on the same pretext?

The answer, of course, is nothing. And perhaps that’s the point: from now on, dissent against Left-wing perspectives may be criminalized. Watch what you say — your bank account is on the line. 

Over the course of the past century, the political Left made a promise: that if they were granted more and more centralized power, they would protect their citizens, particularly during times of emergency. That promise was always a lie, but the pandemic exploded that lie in particularly egregious fashion. This left the Left with two options: to abandon that article of faith, an idea central to their entire worldview; or to persecute heretics. Trudeau, unsurprisingly, has chosen the latter. Emergency powers will be necessary until the people enthusiastically agree that their betters in government ought to rule them.

Toronto-Dominion Bank (TD-Bank) has moved to freeze approximately $1.4 million in funds specifically allocated for the Freedom Convoy — a group of Canadian truckers protesting vaccine mandates and other government responses to COVID-19 — which continues into its third week in Ottawa and other Canadian cities.

Thus far, no other Canadian financial institution has announced whether they will take similar steps to TD-Bank’s.

The Toronto-based financial institution has said it is acting on a Thursday order from the Ontario Superior Court of Justice banning the disbursement of funds connected to the Freedom Convoy to its rightful recipients.

“TD has asked the court to accept the funds, which were raised through crowdfunding and deposited into personal accounts at TD, so they may be managed and distributed in accordance with the intentions of the donors,” TD spokeswoman Carla Hindman said.

But Hindman’s words make no sense, since the funds were meant to assist those connected with the Freedom Convoy — and the bank is blocking such transactions.

The funds in question appear to include a lump-sum payment of $1 million through the original crowdfunding source GoFundMe, which later took down pages connected to the Freedom Convoy. The remaining funds had been sent to a second account via multiple bank e-transfers.

Attorneys for the Freedom Convoy have already announced that they plan to fight the government and corporate attacks on the Freedom Convoy’s money.

“We will be taking expedited legal steps to have the restrictions on the donated funds lifted as soon as possible,” said Keith Wilson, an attorney for the Convoy.

“We are also going to be taking the Ontario government to court to seek an immediate lifting of what we consider to be an unlawful order,” Wilson said.

Meanwhile, a second crowdfunding source, the Christian company GiveSendGo, has already confirmed that it has no problem flouting what it considers an unjust Canadian court order, tweeting on February 10: “Know this! Canada has absolutely ZERO jurisdiction over how we manage our funds here at GiveSendGo. All funds for EVERY campaign on GiveSendGo flow directly to the recipients of those campaigns, not least of which is The Freedom Convoy campaign.”

Thus far, GiveSendGo has raised more than $11 million for the Freedom Convoy campaign.

Thousands of Canadian truckers and their supporters first descended upon Canada’s capital Ottawa on January 29 to make their voices heard about what they consider unnecessary and totalitarian vaccine mandates and a digital vaccine mandate system.

Thus far, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has declined to speak with the organizers of the convoy, instead, linking the peaceful group to white supremacists and claiming that some in the group flew what Trudeau called “racist flags.”

“There is no place in our country for threats, violence, or hatred,” Trudeau claimed, although live streams of the Ottawa protests show little to no evidence of that type of behavior.

Trudeau has also dismissed those who are protesting his draconian COVID-19 measures as a “small fringe minority,” who the prime minister then claimed held “unacceptable views.”

Saskatchewan premier Scott Moe took issue with that characterization of the Freedom Convoy, telling Trudeau, “There are strong opinions on both sides of this issue, but neither side is a ‘small, fringe minority’ with ‘unacceptable views,’” Moe said.

Candice Bergen, one of the leaders of Canada’s Conservative Party and an MP from Manitoba, agreed, saying, “These were the ‘unacceptable views’ they were expressing: They and millions like them have had enough of the lockdowns and broken promises. They deserve to be heard and they deserve respect.”

The Freedom Convoy has people such as Justin Trudeau and President Joe Biden in the United States in a panic. Regular citizens demanding to be heard always frighten would-be authoritarians. The sides in the great Canadian Freedom Convoy have been made clear. On one side sit dictatorial politicians such as Trudeau, compliant government courts, and corporate actors such as TD-Bank who wish the people of Canada would just be quiet and do what they’re told. On the other side are the people themselves, who have become tired of being dictated to and ignored by politicians and are demanding some answers.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced on Monday that he is invoking the Emergencies Act to try and put a stop to the Freedom Convoys that have shut down traffic—and much of the commerce—in Canada. The truckers, protesting vaccine mandates, have clogged roads, leading to chaos on both sides of the Canada-U.S. border. Among other actions, the Canadian government will freeze the assets of truck owners participating in the protests and suspend their insurance policies. In addition, the prime minister said that, under the Emergencies Act, the government will have the power to “compel” tow-truck drivers to remove rigs blocking roads, which sounds an awful lot like forced labor, i.e. slavery.

The Emergencies Act, which replaced the War Measures Act in the 1980s, defines a national emergency as a temporary “urgent and critical situation” that “seriously endangers the lives, health or safety of Canadians and is of such proportions or nature as to exceed the capacity or authority of a province to deal with it.”

The act gives special powers to respond to emergency scenarios affecting public welfare (natural disasters, disease outbreaks), public order (civil unrest), international emergencies or war emergencies.

Trudeau assured Canadians that he is “not using the Emergency Powers Act to deploy the military.”

Asked what it would take for him to bring the military in, he said, “I’m not going to engage in hypotheticals right now. I think that what is most important is that Canadians get their lives back, their neighborhoods back, their communities back. The measures that we put forward today will give the tools to law enforcement to be able to move in even stronger ways against these illegal protests and blockades that are hurting Canadians.”

“We are not limiting the right to peacefully protest or assemble. What we want to do is protect Canadians, protect their jobs, and reinstate confidence in their institutions.”

The protests were prompted by a requirement that all truckers be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, or quarantine for 14 days, after crossing into Canada from the U.S. The blockades began last month, with protesters descending on the capital city of Ottowa on Jan. 29.

“Invoking the Emergency Powers Act is never the first thing the government should do, or the second,” the PM added. “The Act should be used sparingly, as a last result.”

It “gives more powers to the police of jurisdiction,” he said.

“We’ll always defend the right of Canadians to peacefully assemble … but these blockades are illegal and if you are still participating, the time to go home is now,” he declared. “The Canadian border services agencies are already trying to turn back non-Canadians who are seeking to enter the country.”

Deputy PM Christia Freeland explained that the Emergencies Act will be used to cut off financial support to the protesters. “This is about following the money,” she said. “This is about stopping the financing of the illegal blockades.”

“Consider yourself warned. If your truck is being used in these illegal blockades, your corporate accounts will be frozen, the insurance on your vehicle will be suspended. Send your rigs home,” she said, adding that the government’s powers would include cracking down on crowdfunding sites, making them register with the government, and freezing the assets of those involved in helping to fund the protests.

“I know that everyone is tired of this pandemic. We’re hearing your frustration with COVID … and with the temporary measures we had to put forward to keep people safe … you have a right to express that frustration … it’s something we’ll always defend,” Trudeau said, but “depriving your neighbors of their freedoms is a totally different thing. It has to stop.”

Toronto Bank Freezes $1 Million in Freedom Convoy Money

More than $1 million in Freedom Convoy donations was put on ice on Saturday by Toronto-Dominion Bank.

About 1.4 million in Canadian dollars was deposited in two personal accounts, mostly through GoFundMe, according to Reuters. As you’ll recall, GoFundMe had previously frozen Freedom Convoy donations before finally returning the money. The left-wing donation hub had even tried to get away with distributing the money to other groups.

Toronto-Dominion went to court on Friday to get permission to seize the money and their wish was quickly granted by the Ontario Superior Court of Justice. TD told the court they were trying to either get the money to the proper recipients or return it to those “who have requested refunds but whose entitlement to a refund cannot be determined by TD.”

Also according to Reuters, Canada’s anti-money laundering agency told Parliament last week that it has “not seen a spike in suspicious transaction reporting from the banks in recent weeks.”

So there’s no indication that the funds are somehow tainted. Although if you asked the Freedom Convoy truckers, they might tell you there t’aint enough of it.

From what little has been revealed, it isn’t clear why TD believes the money wasn’t properly deposited.

Keith Wilson, a lawyer representing the Freedom Convoy, called TD’s actions “improper and disappointing.”

After GoFundMe shut down the Freedom Convoy fundraiser — they really ought to change their name to GoFundOurApprovedCauses — donors instead turned to GiveSendGo. However, the same Ontario court on Thursday of last week ordered that company to also freeze convoy donations.

This was GiveSendGo’s very public response:

The Christian-based company also wants people to know that “The funds from the Freedom Convoy are not frozen,” no matter what “you might be hearing on the news.”

They also claim to be “working with many different campaign organizers to find the most effective legal ways to continue funds flowing.”

That’s a tall order, given that the Canadian courts and banks are apparently working together to close off channels that are perfectly legal for anyone who hasn’t sent scaredy-cat Canadian PM Justin Trudeau scurrying away to his safe space.

What’s it called when Big Government and Big Business work together to squash freedom?

Oh, right: Fascism.

A similar Freedom Convoy is being organized right now in the United States, according to a Guardian report on Monday.

The effort to launch an American “freedom convoy”, inspired by the Canadian truckers who have shut down parts of Ottawa for several weeks initially to protest vaccine mandates, is taking shape in a somewhat haphazard fashion.

At least three national organizations, and a constellation of regional ones, say they will depart for Washington in early March.

One proposed convoy aims to leave from Fresno in California on 2 March, taking the I-10 interstate straight to the capital, where it would arrive on 6 March.

All I can suggest is: Bring cash.

And lots of it.

Canada’s princess Prime Minister, Justin “Black Face” Trudeau was shouted down in Canada’s House of Commons. The poor lamb was trying to explain how he has “followed the science” in regard to Canada’s ludicrous COVID-19 responses, which included locking up hockey nets so kids couldn’t play and an 8 p.m.-5 a.m. curfew in Quebec.

The House of Commons wasn’t interested in hearing Trudeau’s responses to Conservative leader Candice Bergen’s questions, including whether or not Trudeau would “follow the science” and end the COVID mandates. They shouted and heckled his response.

 

At one point Bergen states that numerous countries, such as Israel, Ireland, the UK, Spain, and Norway are dropping their COVID-related mandates, noting that some of those countries have lower vaccination rates than Canada. She then asks if Trudeau will also end the mandates quickly. Trudeau repeated his “We’ve been following the science” codswallop, but the heckling gets louder. At one point he stops speaking, sits down, and looks at the Speaker of the House of Commons, Anthony Rota, much like a child who is being picked on looks to a teacher for help. Rota calls for order so that Trudeau may continue to speak.

Bergen accuses Trudeau of being “divisive.” She then asks if Trudeau will “follow the science”, end the lockdowns, and let Canada be free. Trudeau removes his mask (he wears it when sitting but removes it to stand up and speak — is that “following the science?”).

In Trudeau’s last salvo, he tells the Speaker of the House of Commons that he is “extremely pleased to hear the Conservatives talk about following the science.” This draws the ire of the crowd. He continues to speak, but the heckling continues. He eventually sits down to a smattering of applause from his own people and shouting from the Conservatives’ side of the House.

(Natural News) It is an undeniable fact that Wuhan coronavirus (Covid-19) “vaccines” have triggered a massive uptick in illnesses and injuries throughout America’s armed forces, and all the Pentagon can do is lie about it.

Rather than show concern for the brave men and women who are risking their lives in our country’s military, the Pentagon is now fudging the numbers in earlier iterations of its Defense Medical Epidemiology Database (DMED) health surveillance system to make the 2021 data appear less drastic.

As we reported, the DMED shows astounding increases in everything from myocarditis to brain injuries to cancer among servicemen who got jabbed for the Fauci Flu.

The numbers are so shocking that there is simply no way to spin them, which is why the Pentagon decided to add fake injuries and illnesses to previous years’ data.

“There is undoubtedly a public health and national security crisis in the military, and the Pentagon’s reaction only seems to be concerned with exonerating the vaccine, not fixing its own alleged problem,” reported The Blaze.

“It’s now certain that the military’s health surveillance system – DMED – showed a massive increase in sickness and injury diagnoses in 2021 over previous years, particularly in the neurological, cardiovascular, oncological, and reproductive health categories.”

Pentagon says spike in covid jab injuries, deaths is just a “glitch”

In a terse and rather cryptic statement to PolitiFact, the American military claimed that the DMED data from prior years represents only a “fraction” of the true data, the suggestion being that vaccine injuries were more common in the past than the data suggests.

As for the 2021 data, a Pentagon spokesman further claimed that a “glitch in the database” resulted in far more injuries and deaths being reported than actually occurred.

These are convenient, though nonsensical, excuses. They far too easily explain away two different alleged data anomalies that supposedly occurred at the very same time to falsely convey that the jabs are unsafe and ineffective.

Since the Pentagon wants everyone to believe that the jabs are safe and effective, it has no other choice but to lie to the American public. And since the general population is now so dumbed down, millions of people will not even think twice about the unlikelihood that what the Pentagon is saying is in any way true.

It turns out that the Pentagon is now adding random numbers to the DMED codes for the years 2016 through 2020. Two whistleblowers told The Blaze‘s Daniel Horowitz that the Pentagon is actively tampering with the data to push a false narrative.

“I’m told by Renz and two of the whistleblowers that throughout the past week, they have queried the same data again, and in most of the ICD categories, they have found that the numbers from 2016 through 2020 were ‘increased’ exponentially to look as though 2021 was not an abnormal year,” Horowitz writes.

“This has been done without any transparency, any press release, any statement of narrative, and sloppily in a way that makes the already unbelievable narrative simply impossible to believe.”

What makes the Pentagon’s claims even more unbelievable is the fact that the military-industrial complex entity supposedly found these anomalies and glitches at the exact same time that attorney Thomas Renz discovered them – how convenient!

“A five-year mistake fixed overnight!” Horowitz joked about how stupid the Pentagon apparently believes that Americans are to fall for this obvious sleight-of-hand.

“They are only concerned with downplaying any potential culpability of the vaccine, not explaining how they were flying blind, according to their official narrative, on such an important endeavor for so many years.”

Virginia Senate Passes Bill Mandating Parental Choice on School Masking

Note well that this was the Democrat-controlled Virginia State Senate. We mentioned yesterday that the same chamber voted in favor of a pro-optional school masking amendment by a shocking bipartisan margin, 29-9, a blowout. The new vote, by contrast, was on final passage of the underlying bill — and despite holding a 21-19 edge, Virginia’s Senate Democrats couldn’t hold the line. Two of their members defected to the GOP side, and the bill passed:  

This move doesn’t merely enshrine mask-optional schools in the state, robbing leftist ‘resistance’-minded school boards of a core legal argument as they seek to ignore the governor’s Executive Order on this subject. It also establishes that “virtual” learning days (a dreadfully failed experiment) will not count toward state-required instruction days. In-person instruction is mandated. Excellent news. The measure will sail through the GOP-held lower house, and Gov. Glenn Youngkin is poised to sign it into law:

“This vote also shows that school boards who are attacking their own students are stunningly detached from reality,” he added. “It’s time to put kids first and get back to normal.” Stunningly detached from reality is right.  Those officials may want to brush up on the data, and read the room, to borrow a phrase. It gets better: Youngkin now reportedly plans to invoke an emergency power to expedite implementation of the new law, making it effective immediately. I’m told that only a simple majority in each chamber is needed to achieve this, and Republicans are confident they’ll have the votes to do so. In an interesting twist, it used to take a supermajority vote to approve this type of action by the governor, but Democrats got rid of that threshold when their side was in charge, so now the GOP will take advantage of the other party’s previous power grab.  Funny how that works. Virginia Republicans are hoping to have the whole thing done, dusted, and in place in a matter of weeks. 

If and when they succeed, Virginia’s optional masking in schools will be the law before New Jersey’s statewide mandate goes away — which has been arbitrarily delayed by a month, and will not require local districts to allow parents leeway to make these decisions for their own children.  New Jersey’s governor cannot explain why school masking has ‘worked,’ which is his position. As for Virginia, this seems like a noteworthy accomplishment that could be highlighted in front of a wide audience if the GOP asks Youngkin to deliver their State of the Union response, preferably in front of a crowd. Relatedly, here’s Jen Psaki reiterating the White House’s position that schools should follow science-free CDC guidance and force children to wear face coverings in classrooms:

She hastens to point out that a substantial number of voters tell pollsters that they want to keep masking. To which I say: Fine. Let them. Stop forcing that choice on others, especially children.  These are not mask bans. Take note of her tone regarding blue states rolling back restrictions and offering new flexibility. That’s a far cry from how the administration has treated red states who’ve done the exact same thing, just earlier. The science, and the CDC guidance, hasn’t changed.  The politics have. On that score, I’ll leave you with this flashback to President Biden’s ‘neanderthal’ attack against Texas when Gov. Greg Abbott lifted restrictions nearly a year ago:

Would Biden care to offer a retraction or apology, especially to a state whose economy is driving the national recovery that he wants to take credit for? Don’t hold your breath. As for Robert O’Rourke, he wants to take Abbott’s job. What say you, Texans?

When it comes to arrogant anti-family public officials, parents don’t have to just sit and take it. But they have to be willing to take a very strong stand and be persistent.

Like most areas in Wyoming, Campbell County is quite conservative. But unfortunately, liberals and RINOs have been elected to key positions. Last summer, local MassResistance parents began complaining to their County Commission about the pornographic and obscene LGBT books for children and teenagers appearing in the public library. Some of the graphic homosexual books for young teenagers are sickening even for adults.

The Library Board, which the County Commission controls, is run by leftists. But the five-member County Commission was stacked 3-2 against doing anything to challenge the Board.

A particularly hostile Commissioner

One County Commissioner, Daniel G. Reardon, was particularly hostile to the idea of shielding children from obscenity and LGBT pornography.

On July 13, Reardon sent an email to a constituent smearing the parents who had objected to a “transgender” performing for young children at the library. He wrote, “It is a sad state of affairs where we regress back to the Matthew Shepard days because of ignorance of hate.” When this became public, parents were livid.

Then on August 12 during a County Commission meeting, Reardon suddenly launched into an angry rant against the parents in the room.

He started out by defending library staff and their bureaucratic “processes that are in place” for selecting the books and allowing for parents to fill out forms to “challenge” books. He said that the Commission’s job is to support the Library Board.

He went on to say that “censoring” LGBT books (i.e., homosexual pornography) was equivalent to censoring books on guns, the military, blacks, or religions other than Christianity.

Then he really went off the rails. It’s the parents who are not doing their jobs, he said. It’s the parents’ fault for not supervising what their children are reading in the library. He said that parents need to “stop talking about censoring, taking books out, burning books, and going back to the days of the Nazis.”

An audience member angrily yelled back at Reardon that he was lying about the parents. Reardon had a Sheriff’s officer escort the man out of the room. He then looked right at the parents and scolded them, “Don’t tell us we’re not doing our job. We are doing our job.”

Parents fight back!

Reardon clearly intended to intimidate and silence the Wyoming MassResistance parents. But his tirade had the opposite effect.

Our activists made sure that the community heard about Reardon’s offensive remarks. They got the message out on social media.

They continued to come to every County Commission meeting and Library Board meeting to demand that the local children be protected from the library staff’s promotion of obscenity and pornography. Though the Commission’s 3-2 majority refused to do the right thing, they were clearly being worn down.

In October they voted to ban all public comment to keep the parents from being able to complain at the Commission meetings. Of course, this just riled the parents up even more.

Reardon announces his resignation

On January 5, 2022, without prior notice, Reardon delivered a letter of resignation to the Campbell County Commission.

His “official” reason was that he had moved to another community (Cheyenne). However, as he told the local newspaper, his family had moved to Cheyenne some time earlier, and he had rented an apartment in Campbell County and was spending more than half of his time there. (It’s not required to live in the County to serve on the County Commission.) He also cited his fear of COVID, though did not elaborate. Reardon said that he had “intended to serve his full term” through 2022, but changed his mind and decided to resign now.

This came just weeks after the Library Board Chairman had also suddenly announced her resignation, although she will continue to serve as a regular Board member.

A new pro-family Commissioner gets voted in!

Since Reardon was technically a Republican (though an insufferable RINO), the process for replacing him was for the local Republican Central Committee to nominate three people, and the Commissioners would vote to accept one of them.

The Commissioners apparently got the message from the outraged parents. At the Jan. 27 Commission meeting, they selected Don Hamm as the new Commissioner. According to the parents who met with the candidates, Hamm was right on their wavelength regarding the library problems.

To start with, the parents are now expecting the Commission to repeal the offensive ban on public comment, when one of the family-friendly Commissioners also becomes the new Chairman this month. And there’s talk of even bigger changes.

Final thoughts

We may sound like a broken record, but we’ll say it again: These people running our libraries and the politicians who support them have neither morals nor conscience. They know what they’re doing to children and are proud of it. Too many conservatives more interested in appearing reasonable and polite than standing up for the truth. But this gains them nothing. The best way: Be resolute and don’t give up.

While numerous states run by Democratic governors have started lifting mask mandates for schools, U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Director Dr. Rochelle Walensky claimed that “now is not the moment” to drop mask mandates in schools and other public places. America’s second-largest teachers’ union boss echoed the statement.

In an interview with WYPR‘s Tom Hall on Tuesday’s edition of the show Midday, Walensky said that her agency “still recommends that all schools encourage students to wear well-fitting masks consistently and while indoors. And that’s consistent with our guidance that still also recommends that people mask in public indoor settings in areas of high or substantial transmission.” Walensky, however, reaffirmed that such decisions lie within discretion of the local governments, not the CDC.

Walensky went on to say that she is “cautiously optimistic” about the course of the pandemic yet noted that the number of cases is still too high for people to lower their guard. Also, the hospitalization rate is higher than it was at Delta’s peak, said the CDC chief, who not so long ago admitted that people hospitalized “with COVID” often find themselves in the hospitals for unrelated reasons. Walensky also failed to mention that her own agency has recently found that the Omicron strain is far milder than Delta. It is, actually, a whopping 91-percent less deadly than Delta, the CDC researchers observed.

Walensky further implied that keeping a mask mandate in place is a necessary prerequisite to keeping schools open, even though multiple studies (here and here) suggest that mask usage makes little to no difference in COVID transmission. In fact, the masks have been associated with greater COVID transmission and deaths rates.

Getting children vaccinated against COVID, Walensky added, would also play an important role in keeping community transmission rates low and would facilitate a “return to normal,” even though her own agency has confirmed that vaccinated people can still get infected and spread the infection to others (see here and here). Moreover, the agency reiterated its universal masking recommendation back in July because it found that the vaccinated spread the disease to others at similar rates as the unvaccinated. In spite of that, Walensky yet again falsely claimed during the interview that the vaccines will “protect [children] from infection, severe disease and hospitalization.”

“I know people are interested in taking masks off. I too am interested. That would be one marker that we have much of the pandemic behind us,” Walensky told Reuters the same day.

“We have and continue to recommend masking in areas of high and substantial transmission — that is essentially everywhere in the country in public indoor settings,” she stressed.

Walensky’s comments come as several states across the country have announced plans to end statewide school mask mandates by the end of February or March.

As The New American reported today, Democrat governors in four deep blue states of Oregon, New Jersey, Delaware, and Connecticut all announced earlier this week that they were rolling back their indoor masking requirements, including for schools.

California is easing many of its COVID-related restrictions and lifting the indoor mask mandate for fully vaccinated people, yet continues with the requirement for K-12 schools.

On Wednesday, New York joined the club, and will end the statewide vaccine-or-mask requirement for businesses on Thursday. Masks will still be required in schools and some other places where people congregate, including healthcare facilities, shelters, and public transit stations. Counties, cities, and businesses can still impose their own rules on masking.

Teachers’ Unions

During an interview with MSNBC Tuesday morning, American Federation of Teachers (AFT) President Randi Weingarten insisted kids must continue to be masked in schools until vaccination rates are high among children and community transmission rates are low. Most importantly, Weingarten wants to make sure that there is “no [COVID] transmission” happening in schools, which is practically unachievable.

She added that her union asked the CDC to develop a guidance on how to gradually lift the restrictions for schools without sacrificing safety back in November. The arrival of Omicron, however, hindered that discussion and “brought the masks back,” Weingarten said.

Weingarten appears to be a fierce advocate for vaccinating children.

“I like what Massachusetts has done. What they said, is that on a school-by-school basis, they said if there’s 80 percent vaccination rates, then the school can lift the mandates.”

The union boss seemed to be unaware that the vaccine manufacturers themselves have admitted that the vaccines that were designed against the original Wuhan strain of COVID provide “limited protection, if any” against Omicron. 

Weingarten represents the second-largest teachers’ union in America.

While she asks for a “science-based” approach to the pandemic, her own organization as well as her colleagues from the largest teachers’ union, the National Education Association, were the ones who pressured the CDC to keep strict guidelines on school COVID policies. Earlier in May, NEA was caught red-handed influencing the CDC guidance.

At the same time that Loudoun County parents sued the local school board for ignoring Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin’s executive order allowing parents the freedom to unmask their children, seven other school boards were suing Youngkin over the same issue.

On Friday, the Circuit Court of Arlington County, Virginia, ruled against Youngkin and his “mask freedom” order.

At issue is the apparent contradiction caused by Virginia’s General Assembly. First, it issued an order to all school boards in the state to “provide such in-person instruction in a manner [designed] to reduce the transmission of COVID-19 that had been provided by the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention [CDC].”

It also granted governors temporary powers to react to emergencies. Then-Governor Ralph Northam used those powers to issue executive orders mandating all teachers and students to be masked at all times. Under the same powers, current Governor Glenn Youngkin repealed Northam’s order, allowing parents to decide what’s best for their children attending school.

The boards argued that if Youngkin’s order “is enforced, [and] the universal masking policy is undermined … they would be unable to enforce the universal masking policy” required by CDC guidelines.

Youngkin, on the other hand, asserted that those school boards “are not allowing parents to choose whether to send their children to school without a mask.”

Circuit Court Judge Louise DeMatteo put both the General Assembly’s rule and Youngkin’s order “on equal footing” and then decided in favor of the General Assembly, negating (for the moment) Youngkin’s order.

She wrote:

While the General Assembly has granted the Governor significant and sweeping general powers to address an emergency … it does not follow that the Governor, even in an emergency, can direct the School Boards to ignore the General Assembly’s deference to CDC guidance….

School Boards will likely succeed on the merits of their claim that [Youngkin’s executive order] is contrary to the clear language of [the General Assembly’s rule]….

[Therefore] the Court concludes that the School Boards’ Motion for a Temporary Restraining Order with regard to optional masking of children should be granted.

Youngkin’s office has stated it will appeal her ruling immediately. Her ruling doesn’t impact the parents’ lawsuit in Loudoun County, which is proceeding on its own through the courts.

Other factors are in play as well. Time is running out for those school boards, as more and more evidence is being reported, even by the CDC itself, that masking is ineffective, and that young students are the least likely to catch the virus. As parents learn that the issue is essentially a local one, they are likely to continue to make their complaints against current school-board masking policies heard loud and clear.

Ultimately, school-board elections will resolve the issue, making such rulings as the one issued on Friday irrelevant.

Democrats and Teacher’s Unions Fight to Keep Parents From Finding Out What Their Kids Are Being Taught

Across the country in at least a dozen states, Democrats are blocking bills that would require curriculum transparency in public schools. The teachers claim that giving parents access to their children’s learning materials online could lead to censorship and backlash against educators.

Parents are already entitled to request their child’s curriculum if they attend a public school, but there’s no requirement to post it online. Republicans in at least 12 states have introduced legislation that would require schools to post all teaching materials online, including what books, videos, and articles will be covered.

Teachers claim that parents who object to what their children are being taught might censor materials they don’t want their children to learn.

A Missouri bill sponsored by Republican state Rep. Doug Richey would do just that, but Democrats say curriculum transparency bills would only further embolden parents to censor certain materials and training, like those pertaining to critical race theory (CRT) – a framework that involves deconstructing aspects of society to discover systemic racism beneath the surface.

Richey’s bill, dubbed the Parents’ Bill of Rights, would also require schools to allow parents receive notifications whenever a teacher intends to teach a “divisive or controversial topic” that may conflict with a “parent’s belief that all persons, regardless of race, ethnicity, color, national origin, or ancestry, should be treated equally.”

“Parents have a fundamental right, responsibility and authority when it comes to their children,” Richey said to committee members Tuesday, FOX 2 reported.

The ACLU, which has championed transparency in government since its founding more than 100 years ago, has suddenly decided transparency ain’t such a good thing.

Emerson Sykes, staff attorney in the ACLU Speech, Privacy and Technology Project, reiterated the ACLU’s position to Fox News Digital last week, saying the organization is “actively pursuing litigation to block” curriculum transparency bills.

“Government bodies should always strive for transparency, and the ACLU supports any good-faith effort to make public education as transparent as possible to parents and communities,” Sykes said. “But some of these so-called ‘curriculum transparency bills’ are thinly veiled attempts at chilling teachers and students from learning and talking about race and gender in schools. Their sponsors have said as much.

There is, in fact, a legitimate point to be made. In the rush to prevent CRT from being taught in schools and prevent the promotion of the idea of “gender fluidity” at the expense of science, valuable historical lessons may be given short shrift, and some teachers may feel pressured not to teach about some legitimate subjects for fear of being in violation of a law that’s been drawn too broadly.

What’s required in this situation is cooperation, not combat. If teachers want to teach using a political agenda as a template, they should go somewhere where that sort of teaching is tolerated. But most parents don’t want their children brainwashed by either the right or the left. They want the people teaching their children not to engage in propaganda for the sake of advancing a political party or candidate.

The simple fact is, the parents don’t trust many teachers or their unions or the school boards that approve the curriculum. Until that trust is somehow reestablished, addressing the issue intelligently won’t be possible.

Internet vendors are cashing in on the Canadian trucker craze, selling T-shirts that bear the national flag and messages such as “Proud Member of a Small Fringe Minority with Unacceptable Views.” Multiple options are available from dozens of sellers on sites such as Etsy, where shoppers can also choose from coffee mugs, baseball caps, and auto decals. Etsy vendor Tracy Connors told The New American that business has exploded since she listed her “small fringe” merchandise. Somewhat ironically, TeeChip offers facemasks displaying freedom messages. Even Amazon peddles the extensive Canadian Truckers brand, which includes tanks, sweatshirts, hoodies, and PopSockets.

The messages mock Justin Trudeau’s disdainful words about Freedom Convoy 2022, a movement of truckers and supporters protesting the prime minister’s onerous COVID restrictions. Trudeau scorned them in televised speeches last week as the caravan of trucks grew to more than 50 miles long, rolling from British Columbia’s Pacific coast toward the nation’s capital city of Ottawa, and from other areas to the north, east, and south. Thousands of Canadians cheered them along the way; more than 100,000 have donated $10+ million to their GoFundMe appeal.

GoFundMe Paused

The fundraiser is paused at present for what the site describes as a “review to ensure it complies with our terms of service and applicable laws and regulations.” Newsweek falsely claims that this is the second time the crowdfunding site has suspended the truckers’ access to money raised, for fear that the funds would be misused. But convoy organizers exposed this as fake news in their first press conference in Ottawa earlier this week, banning from that meeting all news outlets that had spread the lie.

Since then, a team of lawyers with the Justice Centre for Constitutional Freedoms (JCCF) is assisting the truckers with legal needs that arise during their protest. In a press conference Thursday, JCCF representative Keith Wilson explained that GoFundMe has “exercised due diligence which we welcome” in response to attempted campaign hacks. He explained that Freedom Convoy is now incorporated as a not-for-profit in Canada, and GoFundMe is holding funds in trust until appropriate bank accounts are established.

“This morning, our lawyer sent GoFundMe all the details they have asked for,” convoy organizer Tamara Lich told reporters. “I am hoping to hear from GoFundMe soon so that we can get the money to the truckers and keep our protest for freedom moving forward.” However, she also noted that so far “no one from the federal, provincial or municipal government has spoken directly with us. Instead, they are using you, the media, to portray us as racists, misogynists, and even terrorists.” She defended her compatriots: “The reality is that members of this freedom movement are average, peace-loving, and law-abiding citizens from all walks of life, who are fed up with being disrespected and bullied by our government.”

Trudeau Tucks Tail

Pundits say one of those bullies has tucked tail. Just hours before his “fringe minority” arrived in Ottawa last Saturday, Trudeau skipped town.

“Critics mock ‘puppet’ Trudeau for fleeing capital during truckers protest,” headlines Fox News, while Tucker Carlson observed, “This is how despots act when they fear they’re about to be overthrown.” U.S. Representative Chip Roy (R-Texas) tweeted, “Is there a more gutless and cowardly display than a tyrant on the run?”

Meanwhile, “fringe minority” t-shirts are popular amidst throngs on the streets of Ottawa these days. Reporting for The Counter Signal, Keean Bexte tweeted an on-the-street interview with a protester sporting one.

“Your shirt says ‘fringe minority’, but it doesn’t look like a fringe minority here. In fact, it seems to be Justin Trudeau that’s in the minority,” Bexte commented.

“I don’t think there’s anything ‘fringe’ about it,” the man responded. “You know, when only 20 percent of the population votes for you to run the country, I think it gets pretty tough for you to call anybody a minority.”

“Are you upset that [Trudeau] took the week off?” Bexte asked.

“I love it!” came the quick answer. “I think he’s a coward. It’s what he’s been best at.”

U.S. Truckers on the Move

Across the border in the United States, the Canadian truckers are stirring patriotic zeal. At a rally in Conroe, Texas over the weekend, former President Donald Trump praised the movement. “The Canadian truckers — you’ve been reading about it — who are resisting bravely these lawless mandates and doing more to defend American freedom than our own leaders by far. And we want those great Canadian truckers to know that we are with them all the way. They’re really showing something.”

A group of U.S. truckers is taking the cue, planning a cross-country trip from California to Washington, D.C., beginning March 1, to protest vaccine mandates. But Convoy to DC 2022 hit a roadblock on Wednesday when Facebook took down its page without notice. Jeremy Johnson, admin for the convoy group, told Fox News that the move is “censorship at its finest.” He said that Facebook also removed his personal account. “They like to silence people that speak the truth,” Johnson explained. Fox News quoted a statement from Facebook claiming, “We have removed this group for repeatedly violating our policies around QAnon,” equating it with a conspiracy network that incites violence.

To such accusations, co-organizer Brian Brase responded, “There is no intention of any ill-will…. This is to end the mandates, and we’re doing so peacefully.” He explained that they have been carefully planning logistics with residents, business owners, and law enforcement along the planned route and getting permission to stop in various locations. The convoy has met overwhelming support: “Some are even offering fuel at cost,” said Brase. “It’s about America. It’s about our Constitutional rights.”

Asked what they hope to accomplish with Convoy to DC 2022, organizer Mike Landis told Fox News, “People … are fed up with the government overreach and the way that they do not follow the Constitution in this country anymore.” He pointed out a positive spin to Facebook’s censorship: It’s “obviously starting to get someone’s attention.”

Theologian and Brighteon.TV host Dr. John Diamond called on Americans to boycott products from The Hershey Company after the chocolate maker fired employees who refused to get injected with the Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccine.

The host of “America Unhinged” cited an email from the Epoch Times about Hershey’s move to terminate unvaccinated workers. According to the Jan. 31 article, the Pennsylvania-based company has also asked employees to sign a nine-page waiver that absolves the company from legal liabilities. The waiver also bars former workers from talking about their experiences.

Upon signing the waiver, the employees would be given a “special separation payment” determined by an algorithm. However, many affected Hershey’s employees refused to sign the document and declined the money, which only amounted to two months' salary for some.

“Since I am stationed in Pennsylvania – and Hershey’s is very, very close to me – I think this is the time that we need to take a stand against this. We need to figure out a way to do it peacefully,” said Diamond.

“Boycotts are something that are very, very effective. It sends a very loud message. Ultimately, it hurts their bottom line [and] it affects their paycheck. We need to stand up and stand strong, and I think a boycott of Hershey’s is going to be the best way to send a very, very loud message.

“Here at ‘America Unhinged,’ we’re calling for a national boycott of all Hershey’s products. We need you to get on the phone, call their help center and tell them why we are not supporting you and your product anymore. If this is the way you’re going to treat us, then that’s fine – you’re not going to get our money.

“And then, we need to start finding companies and institutions that are going to stand for freedom – especially medical freedom. Hershey’s management intruding on medical privacy

According to ABC affiliate channel WHTM 27, Hershey’s announced a COVID-19 vaccine mandate in August 2021 that went into effect two months later in October. The mandate applied to salaried employees, but excluded factory workers and staff members at the Hershey’s Chocolate World stores.

A company spokesperson confirmed to the news outlet that “a small number” of salaried employees were terminated due to noncompliance with the COVID-19 vaccine mandate. “A small number of individuals who did not get vaccinated were separated from the company,” the spokesperson said. It was not clear how many employees were laid off.

“Hershey’s is committed to maintaining a safe and healthy environment for our employees and our customers. We believe that the best way to protect the health and safety of our employees, their families, and our various business partners is to ensure that our salaried employees are vaccinated against COVID-19,” the spokesperson said in a statement.

Several employees who talked to the Epoch Times begged to differ. They shared how the company’s human resources (HR) department intimidated them during meetings by asking intrusive questions. Some who sought religious exemptions claimed they were feeling “harassed” with the line of questions being thrown their way.

Hershey’s did not respond to any requests for comment on the issues former employees brought up.

“These people don’t care about anybody else’s paychecks. They’re letting people go under this medical tyranny, you know. ‘My body, my choice’ only applies to one set of beliefs and not another,” Diamond said.

(Natural News) Historic American chocolate maker Hershey has apparently been taken over by descendants of the Nazi Reich, based on claims made by current and former employees who are being targeted and terminated for not getting a dangerous COVID-19 vaccine.

According to The Epoch Times, which spoke to several employees — many on condition of anonymity because they don’t want to lose out on benefits before being let go — not only are workers being fired but they are being interrogated, Gestapo-like, before being let go.

“I really thought I’d be OK,” Kim Durham, a former payment analyst, and sourcing buyer told the outlet. “I thought, you cannot question my faith. Nobody can question that.”

She applied for a religious exemption from the vaccine and said that she believed the company would grant it.

“I thought this was behind me until September when I met with an HR representative. It was an interrogation of your religious beliefs. They twisted your words and tried to put words in your mouth. It was terrible,” she said, adding: “I was asked such personal questions that had nothing to do with religion.”

In November, she said, her religious exemption was denied, which shocked her.

The Epoch Times provided additional details about the interrogations:

The Epoch Times interviewed two other Hershey employees who are in their final days with the company and didn’t want their names used until they are fully separated, for fear of losing certain benefits.

All who were interviewed mentioned being troubled by similar questions during the meetings, usually held with an immediate supervisor and someone from HR, such as: Have you ever been vaccinated? Are your children vaccinated? How do you protect yourself when you leave your home? How often do you go to church? Do you take Tylenol, ibuprofen, Tums, or Midol? If so, how can you say that you’re truly a religious person because a lot of those medicines also have the same ingredients as the vaccine?

Several other people said they were told that Pope Francis was vaccinated as well and that he claimed vaccination is one of the greatest gifts anyone can give to their communities.

A new parent who said they submitted paperwork and the newborn’s birth certificate to set up insurance coverage was asked why the baby got vaccinated by the parent would not get a COVID-19 jab.

“What does that have to do with me keeping a job? From the time we started this ordeal, we have had seven meetings about my vaccination status,” the employee said. “It was like harassment. I felt like I wanted to crawl under a rock when I was done.”

Hershey required all employees to get a COVID vaccine (but not a flu vaccine) by Oct. 4; when Durham did not, she wasn’t allowed back in the building on Oct. 5. On her last day in November, the company sent an empty box to her home so she could pack up all of the company’s equipment and property to send back to the main office.

“We are losing our jobs over this vaccine policy,” Durham said. “It’s just wrong that a company can terminate you, and you lose your livelihood. This should not be forced.”

She and other employees estimate that around 1,400 Hershey workers applied for a religious exemption to the vaccine but it’s not known if any of them received one.

“I know people who got the vaccine just to keep their job. It wasn’t something they wanted to do, but they needed the job,” Durham said. “I need a job too. But I’m not going to do something I don’t feel comfortable doing, just keeping my job.”

This vaccine tyranny has to stop.
