It seems now that the Biden administration has recognized, perhaps belatedly, that the Iran-Saudi rapprochement has the potential of not only removing the US as an influencer in the Middle East region, but the Chinese might somehow replace the US dollar with the Chinese Yuan as the international currency. Already, with mega deals between China and Saudi Arabia, as well as Chinese huge deals with Iran, and potentially more deals with the remaining Arab Gulf states, US influence, and prestige are bound to be eviscerated.

The kingdom’s decision to engage with Iran and China is part of a broader diversification of the kingdom’s international relationships that have unfolded over the past decade. During the Cold War, Saudi Arabia was closely tied to the US-led regional security network in the Persian Gulf.  Being fiercely anti-Communist made Riyadh's ties with the US natural.  Since the advent of the Biden administration in particular, Saudi foreign policy has shown an increasingly non-aligned tendency.

The erosion in US-Saudi relations began during the “Arab Spring.”  The Saudis believed that the Obama administration abandoned Egypt’s President Hosni Mubarak.  The Saudis wondered if they would be next. This was compounded by the Gulf states’ exclusion from U.S. negotiations with Iran, initially in secret bilateral talks in 2013 and subsequently, as part of the P5+1 framework of the U.N. Security Council permanent members, plus Germany, which culminated in the Iran nuclear deal of July 2015. The Obama administration, in its final months, suspended the sale of precision-guided missiles to Saudi Arabia amid high levels of civilian casualties in the Yemeni civil war. The Trump administration has reversed this. Finally, in 2021, the chaotic nature of the Biden administration’s withdrawal from Kabul, Afghanistan, served to reinforce deeply-rooted perceptions about U.S. disengagement from the Middle East, irrespective of the situation.

It is for this reason that Jake Sullivan, the US National Security Advisor was dispatched to the region with his primary focus being Saudi Arabia.  Additionally, Sullivan made a commitment to Israel’s National Security Advisor Tzachi Hanegbi, that the Biden administration would seek to bring about peace between Jerusalem and Riyadh. It is meant to advance the spirit of the Abraham Accords of September 2020, engineered, and executed by the Trump administration.

Sullivan, in an address at the Washington Institute for Near Eastern Policy, declared last Thursday (prior to visiting Saudi Arabia) that the Biden administration has “The interest and the bandwidth to promote normalization between Israel and Saudi Arabia…getting to full normalization is a declared national security interest of the United States. We have been clear about that.”

In a previous phone conversation with his Israeli counterpart, Hanegbi, joined by Prime Minister Netanyahu, Sullivan discussed the US administration’s efforts to bring about normalization between Israel and Saudi Arabia.  This was meant to counter reports that the Biden administration is actually slowing down its efforts to bring about an accord between Riyadh and Jerusalem as a result of the escalation taking place between the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and Palestinian terrorists affiliated with the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) and Hamas. This move by Sullivan was encouraging news in Jerusalem.

In Israel, the estimation is that Biden might have a window of opportunity of about one year to advance the normalization process.  Israeli officials are cognizant of the fact that it cannot be a rushed process since the Abraham Accords took long months before coming to fruition. Moreover, with the US presidential elections next year, and the Saudis' expectations that the US side would fulfill their demands, promises a lengthy process with no guarantees of success.

Since the Saudi regime is the guardian of Mecca and Medina, Islam’s holiest places, the Kingdom sees itself as the “protector” of fellow Sunni Muslims worldwide. One of the conditions the Saudis bring up for formal peace with Israel is a peace deal between Israel and the Palestinians.  Regrettably, the Palestinians aren’t willing to engage in such a deal.

The Saudis have a long list of demands from the US in exchange for normalization with Israel. They still consider the US their ideal protector.  They were, however, disappointed when the US refrained from responding to the Iranian attack last year on the ARAMCO oil facilities. They expect the US to defend them against the Islamic Republic of Iran. Riyadh also demands significant arms deals with the US. Additionally, they seek a deal with the US for the purchase of a nuclear reactor that would enrich uranium, supposedly for peaceful means.  Even if the Biden administration was to comply with the Saudi demands, it is unlikely that the US Congress would go along.

In Washington, it was finally understood that the US cannot afford to leave a vacuum in the Middle East since China is eager to replace the US there.  In Jerusalem, this realization on the part of Washington has created a win–win situation according to Israeli foreign policy officials. The US administration is now apparently committed to strengthening the Abraham Accords and seeking normalization between Israel and Saudi Arabia. Jerusalem though, is concerned that should the US once again sign massive arms deals with the Saudis, it must ensure against the erosion of Israel’s qualitative edge.

Notwithstanding the Saudi rapprochement with Iran, Riyadh and Jerusalem still share a common threat in the Islamic Republic, and a common interest to address it. PM Netanyahu has been banking on Saudi Arabia to effectuate the mutual understanding between Riyadh and Jerusalem.  In a meeting last month in Jerusalem with US Senator Lindsey Graham, Netanyahu said, “We want normalization and peace with Saudi Arabia.  We view that as perhaps a giant leap towards ending the Arab-Israeli conflict.”

The Biden administration declared foreign policy of “pivoting to Asia,” was certainly a warning sign in both Riyadh and Jerusalem.  Then, in October 2022, OPEC decided to cut production by 2 million barrels.  The fact that Russia was part of this decision angered Biden who saw it as Saudi Arabia's (the largest oil producer in OPEC) tilt towards Russia when the US was heavily involved in supporting Ukraine. As a result, Biden threatened the Saudis with “consequences.” All of that has created “bad blood” between Washington and Riyadh. The killing of Jamal Khashoggi in Istanbul, Turkey, added to the tension. Then, Biden’s left-wing democrats' pressure compelled Biden to call Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman (MBS) a “pariah.” Washington recognizes now, albeit belatedly, that the Middle East is too vital a region to abandon.

US Middle East envoy Brett McGurk and energy czar Amos Hochstein, who accompanied Jake Sullivan to Saudi Arabia, flew indirectly to Israel to brief Netanyahu. Israel, recognizing that formal peace with the Saudis may take time, would like in the meantime, to see a simple gesture from Riyadh, allowing direct flights of Israeli Arab-Muslims to Saudi Arabia to observe Islamic Haj in Mecca.

Naima Khan is a Pakistani actress. She is known for her roles in dramas Tum Mere Kya Ho, Saya-e-Dewar Bhi Nahi, Shehnai, Yaqeen Ka Safar, and Yeh Dil Mera. Naima was born in 1972 on October 26th in Lahore. She completed her studies at the University of Lahore. Her father, Anwar Elahi Khan, was in the Pakistan Air Force and her mother was Aalima Fazila and a radio artist who played the character of Zohran Bibi in the famous radio play, Talqeen Shah.

Trinidad-born Naima Khan-Ghany, along with her signature hijab and glasses, wears a big smile on her face. But her friendly and grandmotherly appearance is deceiving, as she promotes vile antisemitism and the destruction of Israel and is involved with those tied to violence and bigotry, targeting Jews, gays, and others. It is of major concern because she has been appointed and recently reappointed to positions within the Broward County School Board that ironically deal with “diversity” and “human relations.” Will Khan-Ghany’s controversial exploits disallow her from further serving in such positions? Does the School Board embrace her radical activities?

Khan-Ghany is a public school teacher and adviser to local high school and middle school chapters of the Muslim Students Association (MSA), a youth group founded by operatives from the Muslim Brotherhood in 1963. She has sat on the Broward County School Board Diversity Committee, since January 2016. She is also the Chair of the School Board’s Human Relations Committee. She was recently reappointed to both by newly elected School Board member Jeff Holness, who is no stranger to Islamist gatherings. Previously, she was appointed by Holness’ predecessor Rosalind Osgood, who vacated her seat to run for Florida State Senate.

According to the website for Broward County Public Schools (BCPS), “The primary responsibility of the Diversity Committee is to make recommendations to promote diversity through the Superintendent, to the School Board, while maintaining a unitary school system.” And “The Human Relations Committee… makes recommendations to the Superintendent and the School Board on matters that foster mutual respect and understanding among people within BCPS. The committee further supports the work of the District as it pertains to policies related to diversity, educational/vocational equity, nondiscrimination, inclusion, and character education.”

It would seem that the activities Khan-Ghany has been associating herself with fall in direct opposition to the missions of both the Diversity and Human Relations Committees and are huge conflicts of interest.

Khan-Ghany is a former host of Who’s Who in America, a show produced by the Al-Hikmat Islamic Network, the media arm of the Darul Uloom Institute (DUI). DUI has been a haven for high-profile al-Qaeda militants, including “Dirty Bomber” Jose Padilla and al-Qaeda Commander Adnan el-Shukrijumah. At Al-Hikmat, Khan-Ghany organized an event with el-Shukrijumah’s younger brother, Nabil el-Shukri. The leader and founder of DUI/Al-Hikmat is Shafayat Mohamed, an imam who has been thrown off several Broward County community boards for his talks against homosexuals. Mohamed has claimed that natural disasters are caused by gay sex.

In February 2015, Khan-Ghany was a speaker at a banquet for ICNA Relief, the social services division of the Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA), a group that has numerous ties to South Asian terror. In February 2019, Khan-Ghany was photographed with ICNA Relief USA’s Government Affairs Coordinator Syed Ammar Ahmed, who has previously joked about threatening to blow up a school. In February 2020, she was photographed with ICNA Relief USA’s Chief Operating Officer Abdul Rauf Khan, who has used his social media to promote the Muslim Brotherhood and anti-Semitic icon Louis Farrakhan and to target Jews and gays.

In May 2021, Khan-Ghany was a contact for and provided the introduction for an event featuring former South Florida imam Ibrahim Dremali, titled ‘LET’S TALK PALESTINE.’ The speech was co-sponsored by Khan-Ghany’s Broward County MSA Council. Throughout the lecture, Dremali incited against the Jewish community, telling the crowd, “The Jews… want to destroy the Dome of the Rock,” the Muslim shrine. Days prior to the event, Dremali urged others to fund Hamas; implored people to read the anti-Semitic fraud, The Protocols of the Elders of Zion; and said, “If the Arab leaders open the borders for Palestine… the Jews they’ll be inside that ocean.”

Khan-Ghany makes no secret of her own hatred of the Jewish state. In May 2021, she made a series of posts on her social media questioning Israel’s right to exist and right to defend herself and calling for Israel’s outright destruction. She wrote that Israel’s claim of “self-defense” was a “usual excuse.” She posted a call for prayers for the “liberation of Palestine… from the river to the sea.” She posted a video of similar statements from members of the condemned Jewish fringe group Neturei Karta, with one outrageously saying, “At the end of the day, the Palestinian flag will be on all of Palestine, from the river to the sea.”

After Khan-Ghany posted the logos of over 60 popular US companies, writing, “Boycott these products!” she was called out by an ex-colleague. Former Broward School Board Student Representative Beau Simon wrote, “Ms. Khan I have the utmost respect for you and I enjoyed working with you at the School Board but you really should look into other ways to promote peace in the Middle East rather than ‘boycotting’ Israeli products. This post and advertisement solve nothing, if anything it divides us more. I highly suggest you reevaluate some things you may post and ask yourself ‘Is this contributing to the solution or making the problem worse?’”

Khan-Ghany’s posts do not just target Israel with hate; some of them go after Jews themselves. Khan-Ghany has used social media to promote videos of notorious anti-Semite, TruNews host Rick Wiles. In one video, Wiles equates Jews with Communists, Bolsheviks, and Satanists and refers to European (Ashkenazi) Jews as “so-called” Jews. In another, he spews the libel about Jews owning the media, asking, “Who planted into our minds, here in America, that we should hate and kill Muslims?… [A]fter 9/11… we were saturated with media propaganda. Who owns the media in this country?” On top of the video, one reads the message, “Make this go viral.”

With all of Khan-Ghany’s extensively documented involvement with militant Muslim groups that are related to hatred and violence and her personal promotion of bigotry and fanatical animosity towards Jews and Israel, one has to ask how she can remain so long on committees associated with the Broward County School Board. This is especially the case, given that these committees deal with diversity and human relations.

The extremists whom she aids and abets cynically view ‘human relations’ as a vehicle for promoting the advancement of Islamist causes and ‘diversity’ as a means of placing radical coreligionists in positions of power and influence. As Khan-Ghany herself stated, regarding her work in getting recognition of a “Muslim Heritage Month” in Broward County and a day off from school for Muslims placed on the Broward School Board calendar, “I am not in this for the name, fame or glorification; it is for Islam.”

NYC migrants blocked from Rockland County motel

After NYC Mayor Eric Adams announced hundreds of migrants would be staying at the Armoni Inn and Suites, the Rockland County health department put a notice up claiming Armoni needed a permit if it was going to operate as a temporary shelter. The town of Newburgh in Orange County has seen a number of asylum seekers arriving by bus all week and the city of Yonkers is expected to see a group arrive as soon as tomorrow.

History bears out the fact that the entire Israeli-Palestinian “peace process” has been a sham. The founding charters of all the major Palestinian groups document their common goal: the obliteration of the Jewish nation. This is the heart of the so-called “resistance.” Nevertheless, the search goes on in vain to find a peaceful solution as anti-Israel propaganda spreads. In the most recent flare-up, as Israel defended its citizens from Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) rocket fire, a ceasefire brokered by Egypt was agreed upon. But then the cycle continued: more rocket fire from Gaza, as PIJ violated the ceasefire. This was no surprise; jihadists have no interest in peace.

Iran is a main funder of the jihad against Israel, using its proxies to do its bidding. Ever since Trump left the White House, Iran has escalated, now stepping up pressure on its proxies to unite and join forces against Israel. Iran wants Palestinian Islamic Jihad, Hamas, and Hizballah to be together known as The Jerusalem Axis, a “counterweight to the Abraham accords. This axis finds support in Syria, Lebanon, Iraq, and Yemen.”

Israel’s Defense Minister Yoav Gallant recently revealed that Iran gives $700 million a year to Hizballah, $100 million to Hamas, and tens of millions to Palestinian Islamic Jihad.

There are now “indications of plans to create a joint center to coordinate rocket attacks on Israel.” This well-coordinated effort to obliterate Israel is still downplayed all over the world, especially at the UN, which hosted a Nakba Day event in April. And just as Palestinian Islamic Jihad terrorists fired rockets into Israel, Bernie Sanders helped Rashida Tlaib host a Nakba event. According to the Jerusalem Post, the event “took place on a day in which Palestinian terrorists shot 500 rockets at Israeli civilians, was organized in partnership with organizations that glorify terrorism against Israel and proliferate antisemitic messaging…..However, Sanders let her hold the event in the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions hearing room.”

“Iran is stepping up pressure on its proxies to join forces against Israel,” by Baruch Yadid, JNS, May 16, 2023:

Heavy Iranian pressure on Hamas, Hezbollah and Palestinian Islamic Jihad to establish a “joint operational mechanism” to coordinate activities against Israel is reportedly causing internal divisions among the Iranian proxies.

The alliance of Iranian-backed terror groups known as the “Jerusalem Axis” is Iran’s counterweight to the Abraham Accords, and finds support in Syria, Lebanon, Iraq and Yemen.

Arab and Lebanese sources indicate that Iran has been actively working towards establishing a shared operational headquarters for Hezbollah, Hamas and PIJ in southern Lebanon. There are indications of plans to create a joint center to coordinate rocket attacks on Israel.

While the move seeks to strengthen the Jerusalem Axis’s military capabilities, the terror groups themselves are reportedly less than enthusiastic about the plan.

Yahya Sinwar, the leader of Hamas in Gaza, has expressed opposition to the initiative, preferring to maintain a more neutral stance. However, Saleh al-Arouri, an influential Hamas figure reportedly based in Turkey, supports closer ties with Iran and is leading the push for an “Iranian option.”…

House Resolution 363 memorializing law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty is a pretty routine sort of thing.

It’s a list of law enforcement personnel killed in the line of duty for “Peace Officers Memorial Day” which was an annual commemoration created by JFK.

This year 224 officers were killed in the line of duty.

House members routinely voted almost unanimously to honor them. Almost.

Even AOC voted in favor of this one, but two ‘Squad’ members, Rep. Rashida Tlaib and Rep. Cori Bush voted against honoring slain police officers.

The two extremists issued a statement claiming that honoring murdered police officers will only promote “Republicans’ false narrative around supporting law enforcement and gaslight the public about where they stand.”

Speaking of gaslighting the public, Rep. Bush ranted that Republicans are “getting people killed in St. Louis and around the country” and “will support any number of abuses that law enforcement inflicts on communities like St. Louis”.

Rep. Cori Bush has made no secret of hating police and the only ones Rep. Tlaib will honor are Islamic terrorists.

The Democrats have gone from the party of JFK to a party of terrorists.

(The Center Square) – An Afghan national on the federal Terrorist Screening Dataset (TSDS) was apprehended attempting to enter the U.S. illegally near the Otay Mesa Port of Entry in San Diego, California.

The TSDA is the federal government’s database that includes sensitive information about terrorist identities. It originated as a consolidated terrorist watch list “to house information on known or suspected terrorists (KSTs) but has evolved over the last decade to include additional individuals who represent a potential threat to the United States, including known affiliates of watch listed individuals,” CBP states….

In fiscal 2022, U.S. Customs and Border Protection Office of Field Operations agents apprehended 67 KSTs at ports of entry and 98 between ports of entry at the southern border, totaling 165. At northern border ports of entry, they apprehended 313. Combined, CBP OFO agents apprehended 478 KSTs in fiscal 2022.

Fiscal year to date, OFO agents have apprehended 45 KSTs at ports of entry and 80 between ports of entry at the southern border, totaling 125. At the northern border, the numbers are still higher: 205 at ports of entry and two between ports of entry. So far, that’s 332 this fiscal year who’ve been apprehended trying to enter the U.S….

Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas continues to claim the border is closed and that agents are prepared and able to handle the influx of people. DHS also expanded the use of America’s first ever CBPOne App to allow people to apply to enter from other countries while not even on U.S. soil. He’s also directed thousands of federal personnel to “scale up processing efforts.”…

It’s certainly a good thing that a New York City jury refused to give Sayfullo Saipov, who murdered 8 people, the death penalty. The Ground Zero car Jihadist will instead spend life in prison feeding off American taxpayers.

Sayfullo Saipov as the Uzbek immigrant who ran over people in New York City near Ground Zero while shouting, “Allahu Akbar”, had previously told the court that “he cared about ‘Allah’ and the holy war being waged by the Islamic State”.

“They have one purpose, and they’re fighting to impose Sharia (Islamic law) on earth,” he said.

“The orders issued here have nothing to do with me,” Saipov told Judge Vernon Broderick through an Uzbek interpreter on another occasion. “I am following orders of Allah, who gave me life.”

Now at the end of the road, victims tried to shame him, but to no avail.

“This god you believe in, let him forgive you, because I never will,” Ornella Pagnucco, whose father was killed in the attack, said in Spanish.

Saipov believes in the death cult of Allah which views the murder of non-Muslims as the highest virtue.

That’s a point he made after the victim impact statements.

When it was Saipov’s turn to speak, he did not apologize. Instead, he delivered a lengthy religious speech, spanning from Adam and Eve to the creation of the Islamic caliphate. Through an interpreter, he called “jihad,” or fight against the enemies of Islam, the highest form of prayer.

Saipov closed his speech by saying that he had heard the victims during the trial — that he figured their tears could fill a handkerchief. But he said the tears and blood of killed Muslims could fill the entire courtroom. Then he praised Allah, just as he did at the end of his attack.

Of course, he did. Saipov, like the rest of the Muslim world, is clear on what he believes. We’re not. That’s why we’re losing.

One of the survivors, Rachel Pharn, also closed her speech by praising Allah, while also condemning and questioning Saipov’s actions.

“Let’s be clear. Your actions did not serve Allah,” she said. “Your actions served no one but yourself.”

Miss. Pharn was run over but still hasn’t learned anything about the cult of death that did this to her.

“I hope for him really in jail he can come to a point where he can regret,” said Aristide Melissas, who was injured in the attack.
