“It is abundantly clear that we need to do a much better job of educating our students in civics to prepare them for the rest of their lives.”

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis signed education legislation this week designed to teach the truth about America’s history and the evils of totalitarian ideologies.

The three different pieces of legislation – House Bill 5HB 233, and Senate Bill 1108 – will teach children about the Constitution, as well as  giving them an understanding of the “evils of communism and totalitarian ideologies.” Also, the bills require the State Board of Education “to conduct an annual assessment on intellectual freedom & viewpoint diversity.” Also, young learners will need to “pass a specified assessment to demonstrate competency in civic literacy.”

The welcome laws are needed now more than ever as children are being indoctrinated by radical leftists across the country. A sample can be found at RAIR Foundation USA herehereherehere and here.

During a must-see press conference (watch below), DeSantis explained:

“The sad reality is that only two in five Americans can correctly name the three branches of government, and more than a third of Americans cannot name any of the rights guaranteed by the First Amendment. It is abundantly clear that we need to do a much better job of educating our students in civics to prepare them for the rest of their lives.”

DeSantis continued:

“We have a number of people in Florida, particularly southern Florida, who’ve escaped totalitarian regimes, who’ve escaped communist dictatorships to be able to come to America,” DeSantis said. “We want all students to understand the difference: Why would somebody flee across shark-infested waters, say, leaving from Cuba to come to southern Florida? Why would somebody leave a place like Vietnam? Why would people leave these countries and risk their life to be able to come here? It’s important students understand that.”

With a curriculum like that, children will be much better equipped to ward off the creeping communist ideology infecting universities across the country.

Why Does Lloyd Austin Refuse to Define ‘Extremism’?

BY TYLER O'NEIL

republished below in full unedited for informational, educational & research purposes:

Even though the Department of Defense (DOD) carried out a military-wide “stand-down” training on “extremism” early into Joe Biden’s tenure, the DOD still has not promulgated an official definition of extremism. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin refused to give a definition at a congressional hearing this week, and on Thursday, the DOD confirmed to PJ Media that it has not adopted a definition. However, a working definition that the Army Recruiting Command apparently uses to screen applicants should raise alarm bells for conservatives.

“I’m very concerned about the recent order that you have conducted regarded looking at so-called ‘extremism,’ and I have sent to you two letters, Mr. Secretary, asking for the definition of what the Department of Defense views as ‘extremism,’ and have not heard back from you yet,” Rep. Vicky Hartzler (R-Mo.) told Austin at a hearing on Wednesday. “Could you just share with me, does the Department of Defense have a definition of extremism?”

Austin did not answer Hartzler’s question. He assured her, “I believe that 99.9 percent of our troops are focused on the right things, embracing the right values, each and every day. Small numbers of people, in this area, can have an outsized impact on our organization.”

“We are focused on extremist behavior, not what people think or political ideas or religious ideas, but extremist behavior,” Austin insisted.

“So, do you have a definition of what extremism is and what that behavior is?” Hartzler asked.

“Again, we’re focused on behavior,” Austin repeated, dodging the question.

“Well, you had a stand-down and you had a pause over the entire military for an entire day to do training to talk about this, and you don’t have a definition yet of what the purpose was and what extremism is?”

“The purpose was to have a discussion with our troops and our leaders on the issue of extremism, and that was very productive,” Austin said.

Hartzler brought up a new DOD screening procedure, asking, “What, specifically, would you be screening for?”

“Our screening is focused on screening those applicants that are coming into the military. We want to make sure that we’re bringing in the right type of people, quality of people,” Austin replied.

“So, if someone says that they’re for President Trump, would that be viewed as extremism?” Hartzler pressed.

“As I said earlier, this is not about politics. I want our troops to participate in our political system,” Austin replied. “That’s what they’re fighting to defend. But I will also say that we will continue to be a diverse and inclusive organization.”

RecommendedWhistleblowers Explain How Biden’s Woke ‘Extremism’ Training Is Tearing the Military Apart

PJ Media reached out to the DOD on Thursday, and a spokesperson confirmed that the Department had not put out any guidance defining extremism. However, various training materials used for the military-wide “stand down” to combat “extremism” follow the Southern Poverty Law Center’s (SPLC) playbook for demonizing conservatives through the biased application of terms like “discrimination.”

Sen. Tom Cotton (R-Ark.) shared the reports of whistleblowers who said the DOD pushed “anti-racist” and Marxist critical race theory (CRT) materials in trainings to combat “extremism.” One whistleblower said his or her unit was forced to read White Fragility by Robin DiAngelo. One Army officer said his general officer told him “that the entire U.S. Army is racist.” Earlier this week, Army General Mark Milley, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, defended teaching CRT in the military and repeated CRT propaganda against the Constitution.

This context suggests that the DOD may hesitate to define “extremism” because its likely definition will involve demonizing conservative views. Indeed, on Wednesday morning, a communique sent to Army Recruiting Command — and first reported by PJ Media’s Stacey Lennox — presented a slanted definition of “extremism.” The DOD has not adopted this definition, but it seems the Army is using this definition to screen applicants.

The document laid out an illogical definition of extremism: “Extremism is defined as an individual that advocates for any of the following:

  1. Hatred or intolerance on the basis of race, sex (including gender identity), sexual orientation, or ethnicity.
  2. Creating or engaging in discrimination based on race, color, sex (including gender identity), national origin, religion, or sexual orientation.
  3. Use of force or violence or unlawful means to deprive individuals of their rights to achieve political/religious/discriminatory goals.
  4. Support for terrorist or criminal organizations or objectives.
  5. Overthrow of the U.S. Government by force, violence, or sedition.
  6. Subversion (i.e., violations of law, disobedience to lawful orders or regulations).

It stands to reason that the U.S. military would define extremism to include advocacy for the “overthrow of the U.S. government by force, violence, or sedition,” and that aspect of the definition seems unassailable. Subversion may also count as extremism, so long as the definition does not exclude certain forms of civil disobedience that should fall under the First Amendment’s speech protections. Support for terrorist or criminal organizations also seems a reasonable aspect of an extremism definition.

RecommendedEXCLUSIVE: Army Finally Defines ‘Extremism’ When It Comes to Screening Out ‘Hate Group’ Members

The use of force or violent means to deprive people of their rights may also reasonably fit a definition of extremism. While Stacey Lennox was right to warn about the Left applying rights language to abortion and other issues, opposition to abortion should involve reasoned debate, not violence.

However, the first two aspects of this Army definition should raise red flags for conservatives.

Conservatives do not support “hatred or intolerance on the basis of race, sex (including gender identity), sexual orientation, or ethnicity,” but the Left often twists the definitions of “hate” on these hot-button issues. For example, the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) routinely brands mainstream conservative and Christian organizations “hate groups” due to their opposition to the Left’s narrative and activism on LGBT issues, Islam, and immigration.

In the wake of a scandal involving claims of racial discrimination and sexual harassment that saw the SPLC fire its co-founder and lose its president and legal director, a former SPLC employee outed the “hate-group list” as a “masterstroke of [the founder]’s marketing talents.” This seemed to confirm claims that the hate group list is a cynical fundraising scheme, rather than a legitimate report.

The “hate group” accusation also gives the SPLC a way to destroy its political enemies. Former SPLC spokesman Mark Potok also revealed an animus against the organizations on the list. He said the SPLC’s “aim in life” is to “destroy these groups.” In 2012, a deranged man targeted the Christian non-profit organization the Family Research Council (FRC), aiming to kill everyone in the building and smear a Chick-fil-A sandwich into his victims’ faces. He told the FBI he targeted FRC due to the SPLC’s “hate group” accusation. The SPLC has not dropped that accusation.

Democrats have endorsed the SPLC’s “hate group” accusations, while some Big Tech companies and some corporate boards have also adopted this twisted weaponization of the “hate” label.

In a similar vein, Biden’s definition of civil rights law would implicate many social conservatives in “discrimination” — especially when it comes to “gender identity.”

According to the Biden administration, the “discrimination” that fits the second part of the Army recruiting definition of “extremism” would apply to one person who refers to biological males who identify as female with male pronouns, who advocates for excluding biological males from women’s sports, or who warns against the abuses of subjecting gender-confused children to chemical castration, among other things.

Biden has even fought to resurrect an Obama-era HHS rule that would force Roman Catholic doctors to perform transgender surgery, in violation of both Catholic teaching on sexuality and the Hippocratic oath. If refusing to perform transgender surgery counts as “discrimination,” that might make every Catholic medic in the military an “extremist.”

RecommendedHead of the Joint Chiefs Repeats CRT Propaganda Trashing the Constitution

Without a definition of “extremism,” the DOD cannot allay conservatives’ fears about the whistleblower reports and about the Biden administration’s radical twisting of civil rights law. While the DOD claims to be formulating an official definition, Austin’s decision to stonewall Hartzler instead of giving her even a working definition seems mighty suspicious. The Army Recruiting Command’s slanted definition only underscores conservatives’ worries.

Five dangerous ways America is on a COLLISION COURSE with itself

(Natural News) Today’s Situation Update analysis reveals how America is on multiple collision courses with itself. For example:

  • The rapidly expanding 2nd Amendment sanctuary movement will collide with the Biden regime’s attempts to outlaw and confiscate guns from private citizens.
  • The mass pollution of soils (biosludge), oceans (microplastics) and the food supply (pesticides) will collide with the increasing demands for food, resulting in global famine and mass starvation.
  • Massive money printing will collide with collapsing supply lines, resulting in hyperinflation and widespread shortages in consumer goods, automobiles and even military equipment parts.

(Listen to the full podcast for more examples.)

The truth is that America is on a collision course with itself, and nothing can stop what’s coming in terms of catastrophic ramifications in the food supply, currency collapse, economic collapse, social collapse and the collapse of the rule of law (which is already well under way).

The America you once knew is ancient history. And as I predicted years ago, the United States of America as we know it will no longer exist by 2025, if not sooner. (The timeline actually looks like it has been moved up to 2022 – 2023.)

Clueless local governments are injecting all their own employees with biological weapons

In San Franshitsco, government leaders are now demanding that all 35,000 city employees take covid vaccines as soon as the FDA officially approves them. As I comment in the podcast, this sure is a rapid method for cutting the size of government, since some significant portion of those 35,000 people will of course be dead (or brain dead) within 1 – 3 years, if they are truly forced to take the vaccine.

This is government eating itself alive, deploying biological weapons on its own obedient workers, obviously with catastrophic results.

And it begs the question: How will San Franshitsco function if a quarter or a third of its employees are dead or non-functional? Answer: It won’t. Like most blue cities, San Franshitsco will collapse into utter chaos, lawlessness, unbounded violence and Third World conditions.

Much the same will likely happen across Los Angeles, Seattle, Portland, New York City, Chicago and other predominantly Democrat-run cities. There is no future for America where things return to the “normal” of 2019. All the money printing in the world — and all the media lies — can’t put Humpty Dumpty back together again.

They’ve broken the golden goose. They’ve destroyed the rule of law, the economy and the health of the American people. They’ve terrorized the citizenry with journo-terrorism and CRT indoctrination. There is no recovery from this, only escalating hardship, suffering and mass destruction, all by design.

Will America lose 230 million of its citizens by 2025?

At this point, it’s no longer difficult to see how the Deagel.com prediction put the U.S. population at around 99 million people by the year 2025. That prediction described the death of around 230 million people. How do we get to those numbers? It’s not much of a stretch:

The CDC says 178 million Americans have already taken at least one vaccine injection, so many of those people will no longer be living by 2025. Then there are the anticipated deaths from engineered famine (mass starvation) being put in place by globalist psychopaths. With the food riots will come mass violence, lawlessness and a total breakdown of city infrastructure, including functioning sewage systems, the electrical grid and any last remaining hope of emergency services. The resulting chaos could easily kill 100 million Americans from the murder, disease (stemming from a total lack of sanitation infrastructure such as running water), exposure to the elements and a total collapse of basic health services. That doesn’t even count the possible number of casualties from regional conflicts (local “civil war” eruptions) that are likely to occur in California, Oregon, Washington, Illinois and other regions.

As all this occurs, the weaker America becomes within its own borders, to more quickly foreign enemies will escalate their own planned invasion and occupation of America. Thus, every American citizen that’s killed by vaccines is one less defender of the nation, from the point of view of the communist Chinese regime that wants to conquer and occupy the continental United States in order to grow enough food to feed its people. (I cover this in last week’s podcast about the imminent cyber warfare threats against America.)

There will be survivors after all this runs its course, but those survivors won’t be weak-willed snowflakes, soy boys, panzies and preferred-pronoun libtard whiners. Only the most durable and prepared among us will still be alive by the end of 2025, barring some sort of divine intervention that somehow halts all these things from happening.

FLORIDA GOVERNOR DeSantis Signs New Laws, Emphasizing Civics and Lessons on Evils of Communism in Schools

DeSantis Signs New Laws, Emphasizing Civics and Lessons on Evils of Communism in Schools

Republican Florida Governor Ron DeSantis continues to position himself as the common-sense conservative Americans need in the face of an increasingly bold leftist agenda, this time signing three bills into law that will boost civics education in public schools and require teaching on the evils of communism, the Daily Wire reported.

On Tuesday, DeSantis signed House Bill 5, which will require the Florida Department of Education to create a civics education curriculum that “includes an understanding of citizens’ shared rights and responsibilities under the Constitution and Bill of Rights,” according to a news release on the bills. It will require the high-school curriculum to discuss political ideologies that oppose the principles of freedom and democracy, including communism and totalitarianism. The curriculum will also include a library of “Portraits in Patriotism,” which highlights individuals who have moved to this country for freedom to escape persecution from tyrannical regimes such as in Cuba or Venezuela. The bill requires first-person accounts of “victims of other nations’ governing philosophies who can compare those philosophies with those of the United States.”

“We want all students to understand the difference, why would somebody flee across shark-infested waters say, leaving from Cuba to come to southern Florida?” DeSantis explained during a press conference and signing ceremony at Three Oaks Middle School. “Why would somebody leave a place like Vietnam? Why would people leave these countries and risk their lives to be able to come here? It’s important that students understand that. Now as part of this bill, Florida will create a ‘Portraits in Patriotism’ library so students can learn about real patriots who came to this country after seeing the horrors of these communist regimes.”

“We have a number of people in Florida,” DeSantis added, “who’ve escaped totalitarian regimes, who’ve escaped communist dictatorships to be able to come to America.”

Also signed on Tuesday was Senate Bill 1108, which will require state college and university students to take a civic literacy course and a civic literacy assessment as a graduation requirement.

“The sad reality is that only two in five Americans can correctly name the three branches of government, and more than a third of Americans cannot name any of the rights guaranteed by the First Amendment,” DeSantis said. “It is abundantly clear that we need to do a much better job of educating our students in civics to prepare them for the rest of their lives.”

Under Senate Bill 1108, high-school students will be required to take a civic literacy assessment that, if passed, will exempt students from the post-secondary test requirement.

Governor DeSantis also signed House Bill 233 into law on Tuesday. This bill requires state colleges and universities to annually assess “viewpoint diversity and intellectual freedom at their institutions to ensure that Florida’s postsecondary students will be shown diverse ideas and opinions, including those that they may disagree with or find uncomfortable.”

“It used to be thought that a university campus was a place you’d be exposed to a lot of different ideas. Unfortunately now, the norm is really that these are more intellectually oppressive environments,” the governor opined. “You have orthodoxies that are promoted, and other viewpoints are shunned or even suppressed. We don’t want that in Florida. You need to have a true contest of ideas. Students should not be shielded from ideas and we want robust First Amendment speech on our college and university campuses.”

The timing of the bills is appropriate, as high schools and colleges across the country continue to be bastions of Leftist thought that churn out the future anti-American, anti-white, anti-Christian, anti-capitalist leaders advocating for left-wing agenda items such as critical race theory, the New York Times’ “1619 Project,” and cancel culture.

Until the 1960s, civics education was commonplace in American schools, but shifting priorities and intrusive government education reforms ultimately slashed civics offerings from public schools. According to the National Education Association, only 25 percent of U.S. students today reach the “proficient” standard on the National Assessment of Education Progress (NAEP) Civics Assessment required to be passed by incoming citizens of the United States, with white, upper-class students four to six times more likely than Black and Hispanic students from low-income households to exceed that level.

Conservatives such as DeSantis understand the old adage that those who don’t know history are doomed to repeat it, a sentiment that has been made most clear by recent testimony at a Loudoun County School Board meeting in Virginia by a mother who escaped Chairman Mao’s brutal communist regime in China. Xi Van Fleet told the school board that critical race theory is “the American version of the Chinese Cultural Revolution.”

“Critical race theory has its roots in cultural Marxism — it should have no place in our schools,” she said.

“You are now teaching, training our children, to be social justice warriors and to loathe our country and our history,” she continued.

“Growing up in Mao’s China, all of this seems very familiar,” insisted Van Fleet, who fled China at the age of 26. “The Communist regime used the same critical theory to divide people. The only difference is they used class instead of race.”

Americans’ lack of knowledge about their country’s history was made painfully clear during a recent episode of Jeopardy, which aired on June 1, in which not one of the three contestants were able to answer a very easy question about the Gettysburg Address, prompting intense backlash from viewers.

An $800 question in a “Quotations” category read, “Government of the people, by the people, for the people, is from the end of this brief but powerful speech.”

Seconds passed, followed by a brief but telling silence before guest host Mayim Bialik revealed the answer to be the Gettysburg Address.

The embarrassing display invited vitriol from viewers online.

“I’m gonna pretend like I just didn’t see ALL THREE contestants miss ‘the Gettysburg Address’ just now,” replied another.

“How did #Jeopardy manage to find three contestants who don’t recognize the closing line of the Gettysburg Address? This isn’t Elementary Jeopardy, folks,” remarked another critic.

As noted by Life Site News, the three new laws are just the latest in a long list of conservative accomplishments for DeSantis, which include tougher penalties for riot-related offenses, requiring schools to allow silent time for prayer, opposition to overzealous COVID restrictions, banning sanctuary cities, strengthening election security, and keeping males out of female sports.

A Terrible Day for the Republic: Biden and His Top General Strike at America’s Foundations

In testimony before the House Wednesday, Army Gen. Mark Milley, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, was asked about the military’s new emphasis on politics and critical race theory.

Milley’s testimony is telling in many ways. He didn’t deny the military is pushing CRT and its ideas down the ranks. How could he, with so many whistleblowers calling his military out on it?

The nation’s top general leads in this segment by suggesting that he’s merely studying critical race theory and wokeness to understand them as a military leader should study ideas to understand their nature and whether they pose a threat or not. That would be fine, even commendable if it was true. As Sun Tzu wrote, know your enemy.

But then Gen. Milley, America’s top soldier, gets within inches of trashing the United States Constitution, which he swore an oath to defend with his life.

The disturbing part comes when, after ticking off his communist reading list, Milley gets heated:

“I personally find it offensive,” the emotional general opines, “that we are accusing the United States military, our general officers, our commissioned, non-commissioned officers, of being quote ‘woke,’ or something else because we’re studying some theories that are out there.”

The general’s feelings are irrelevant. It is noteworthy that he’s playing the “I’m offended” card, though. That’s beneath a man of his rank. A poor, dumb, former airman shouldn’t have to remind Gen. Milley that being personally offended means nothing when bullets are flying.

Milley knows this. He’s playing for his audience at the White House.

Milley continued, and here’s where it gets sticky for the republic.

“That was started at Harvard Law School years ago,” Milley said, fallaciously appealing to Ivy League authority, “and it proposed that there were laws in the United States.”

“Anti-bellum laws, prior to the Civil War,” Milley continued, getting the word “antebellum” wrong, “that led to a power differential with African Americans that were three-quarters of a human being.” He also got the Three-fifths Compromise wrong.

The Three-fifths Compromise was struck at the time of the ratification of the United States Constitution four-score and a few more years prior to the Civil War, to paraphrase the Republican president who freed the slaves — and whom a Democrat later murdered for it. The Three-fifths Compromise, as North Carolina Lt. Gov. Mark Robinson (R) accurately explained to clueless reporters a few months back, was a good thing.

“See, this is another example of why we need to teach real history. The Three-fifths Compromise was put into our Constitution to limit the power of slaveholding states in this nation,” Robinson explained. “The slaveholding states wanted to count their slaves as whole individuals for the purpose of having a population count that would give them control of our federal government. The Three-fifths Compromise prevented that.” He goes on to explain that slavery wasn’t a settled issue at the time the Constitution was written and ratified, which is true. Slavery had existed for millennia prior to the United States’ existence. The founders wrestled with the issue while cobbling 13 colonies together into a nation while also fighting a revolution against the world’s top superpower of the time. Robinson moves on from there to give a much more accurate history of Jim Crow than Gen. Milley appears to be capable of rendering.

Gen. Milley needs remedial American history, stat, to correct the errors he has internalized into his thinking processes and command. But he probably pleased the only audience member who matters to his career.

This man is our top soldier. He serves a president who lies that antifa is “just an idea” and who instituted systemic racism in COVID relief until a federal court stopped him.

As if to outdo his top general and plagiarize from one of the most scurrilous members of Congress at the same time, Joe Biden riffed on the Second Amendment Wednesday and revealed that he understands American history even more poorly than does Gen. Milley. My colleague Matt Margolis covered Biden’s remarks.

“Those who say the blood of lib- — ‘the blood of patriots,’ you know, and all the stuff about how we’re going to have to move against the government. Well, the tree of liberty is not watered with the blood of patriots,” Biden said. “What’s happened is that there have never been — if you wanted or if you think you need to have weapons to take on the government, you need F-15s and maybe some nuclear weapons.”

The “those who say” — whom Biden glibly denounces — is Thomas Jefferson, primary author of the Declaration of Independence and third president of these United States. Jefferson wrote the following in a letter to William Stephens Smith (son-in-law to America’s second president) in 1787:

And what country can preserve it’s liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Did Joe Biden just reject Thomas Jefferson while stealing his thoughts from Eric Swalwell? The same Eric Swalwell who is compromised by his former relationship with a known Chinese spy?

Related: Pelosi Stands Behind Congressman Caught in Chinese Spy Honey Trap

He did, which tells us quite a bit about the quality of mind occupying the Oval Office at the moment.

Biden gets another thing wrong in all that mess. Americans have means other than military conflict to “take on” the government.

We have these novelties called elections. They were a radical notion when the founders including Jefferson established them. Biden and his Democrats are aware of that and the threat it poses to their power next year, which is why they pushed for S.1, the permanent Democrat power-grab bill. Thank the founders and Senate Republicans, it flopped.

But they’ll be back. And they’ll have the woke military brass backing them too.

Petition to Remove Admiral Michael Gilday as Chief of Naval Operations

republished below in full unedited for informational, educational & research purposes:

Our military is under attack by “anti-racism” activists whose message is that white America is racist.

“Critical Race Theory” is the academic discipline that is used to justify the attack. Critical Race Theory is a hateful Marxist fiction that maintains America is evil because the majority of its citizens are white, and that its Constitution is evil because it was written by white people. The agents of this dogma, including those lecturing at the Naval War College, teach that white people - from the Founding Fathers to the 200 million white people in the country today - are oppressors, who are an internal enemy,

Critical Race Theory began by destroying the moral integrity of colleges and corporations. Now its target is the U.S. Navy.

Chief of Naval Operations Admiral Michael Gilday has told the third of a million naval personnel that they should be reading and learning from Ibram X. Kendi, a mediocre, fact-challenged university professor who has become the go-to “anti-racism” expert for America’s woke elites.

In a congressional hearing, Admiral Gilday was asked by Representative Jim Banks to denounce Kendi’s view that white people criminals - that they created the AIDS virus to kill black people. The Admiral refused to do so, dismissing it as a “cherry-picked” quote about which he had no other opinion.

By adding Ibram X. Kendi's book - How To Be An Anti-Racist - to the Navy’s Professional Reading Program, Gilday put the weight of the U.S. Navy behind Kendi’s hatred of white America and all white people as the allegedly racist oppressors of blacks.

That’s why I hope you’ll join me, and demand the Removal of Chief of Naval Operations Admiral Michael Gilday.

Kendi defines anti-racism as opposition to America’s “systemic racism.” Systemic racism was outlawed by the Civil Rights Act of 1964. If it were an actual problem there would be a tsunami of lawsuits and a tsunami of judgments awarding millions of dollars in penalties to the victims. There are no such tsunamis because systemic racism is a myth manufactured by leftists to disarm their critics and force their retreat. In Kendi’s dogma, the only way not to be a racist is to agree with him that racism is in America’s DNA, and white people are racists because they are white.

In Kendi’s own words: “There is no such thing as a not-racist idea, only racist ideas and antiracist ideas.” Either you agree with Kendi’s leftwing politics, or you’re a racist.

Gilday was not only endorsing Kendi's racism, but also his politically partisan agenda, which claims ridiculously that dissent from the left is racist even when it comes to global warming.

“Do-nothing climate policy is racist policy,” Kendi argues, “since the predominantly non-White global south is being victimized by climate change more than the Whiter global north.”

But the world’s greatest polluters are China, India, and Pakistan . – countries that are not white, and that refuse to implement the Paris Climate Accords.

Gilday’s support for Kendi is part of his effort to divide and weaken the Navy by imposing Critical Race Theory and radical Identity Politics on the men and women who defend us.

Last year Gilday promoted “conversations” that endorsed Black Lives Matter’s view that all whites are racists and encouraged recruits and naval officers to believe that, like America, the navy is systemically racist – no evidence required. According to Gilday-Kendi, life for black people is miserable in America, and white people have to be “transformed” by atoning for their white skin privilege. “White Skin Privilege is, in fact, a term invented by the Weather Underground: a notorious terrorist group which bombed the Pentagon in the 1970s.

An official Navy video introduced by Gilday featured a black aviation tech complaining that, “being African-American in America is not fun;” a black lieutenant commander who claimed that he had experienced "systemic racism" and "implicit bias", and a white female musician confessing her “privilege as a white person” and attacking America over unfounded claims of "systemic racism"

The video of Navy personnel putting down America, blaming their problems on systemic racism, and reciting Marxist talking points was the centerpiece of what Gilday called vital “conversations” about racism. Usually, a conversation has more than one side. But not in today’s U.S. Navy which has become a Critical Race Theory echo chamber.

While the theme of Gilday’s racial crusade is, "One Team, One Navy”, its real message is that there are two navies and two Americas: white and non-white. The goal of the admiral’s new “diversity and inclusion” mandate is for the victimized non-white Navy to defeat the oppressive and racist white Navy. Or as one crew member in the video declares, "Tomorrow's Navy will finally stand on the right side of history when we realize that black lives matter." Considering that the latest ethnic genocide, involving millions of Uighur Muslims, is taking place in a non-white nation, China, today, it would be interesting to know what “the right side of history” is, or whether history has a side.

An official video sponsored by Gilday broadcasts the anti-American claim that the 245-year-old Navy has been on the wrong side of history, that John Paul Jones, who fought the British, Stephen Decatur, who fought Islamic pirates, and the men who fought on the USS Kearsarge to end slavery during the Civil War, were all on the “wrong side” of history until Gilday and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez came along to set them straight.

Please add your name to this petition right away, and demand the Senate remove Chief of Naval Operations Admiral Michael Gilday.

Under Gilday’s leadership, minority members of the Navy are being told that it’s okay to question whether they should be serving their country. They’re being encouraged to view all of their interactions with white personnel as racist because all white people are inherently racist. Including their commanding officers and their comrades in arms.

Communist China could not be damaging the Navy’s readiness any more than Gilday is with his divisive accusations about the racism of the majority of his troops.

In the two years since Gilday took over as Chief of Naval Operations, morale is down, and instead of preparing them to fight America’s enemies, he has set off a civil war within his own ranks. China doesn’t need to fire a single shot if Gilday is successful in destroying our military’s cohesion, morale and will to defend the country.

Biden is slashing the Navy’s shipbuilding budget even as the People’s Republic of China is building more ships than the U.S. Navy. The United States is losing the command of the seas. While Biden is undermining the physical infrastructure of the Navy, Gilday is waging a relentless war against the moral infrastructure of the servicemen and women under his command.

Gilday and other military leaders are replacing military readiness with military radicalism. Admiral Bill Moran, Gilday’s predecessor and President Trump’s choice, had a reputation for standing up for his people. America First was his guide. Gilday has focused instead on political wokeness and demonizing those who resist his new order.

Gilday – a vice-admiral - was unqualified for his promotion to Chief of Naval Operations in the first place. He got his job through a political coup.

His predecessor, Admiral Moran was forced out over a fake scandal generated by Senator Kirsten Gillibrand. Gilday, a vice admiral, should not have been in line to be Chief of Naval Operations, but Democrat politicians and bureaucrats were determined to purge as many of President Trump’s appointments as they could. Their goal was to undermine his America First policies. They were so successful that no one qualified to be Chief of Naval Operations actually wanted it.

As Chief, Gilday quickly showed why the same people who persecuted Moran left him alone. The men and women of the Navy can rely on Gilday to promote Black Lives Matter agendas, but they can’t count on him to watch their backs.

Using race as the measure of all things, Gilday unleashed a political indoctrination campaign as the Black Lives Matter riots got underway. Video confessions of white privilege and condemnations of America are the heart and soul of that campaign. He initiated the Task Force One Navy whose report called for reinventing the Navy to fight "racism, sexism, ableism and other structural and interpersonal biases" – perfect Marxist slang for their war on America.

White members of the Navy are being told to check their white privilege, to believe that they didn’t earn their ranks, but were awarded them because of systemic racism and that the more they achieve, the guiltier they are of getting ahead at the expense of disadvantaged minorities.

Officers are being told to stop thinking about ability and merit – racist categories - and to focus on meeting racial and gender quotas when it comes to mentoring and promotions. They’re being warned that their judgement is racially biased and that any decision they make will be racist. There is talk of using computer programs to achieve racial quotas for personnel and of subjecting officers to “implicit bias” training which is based on the hateful idea that whites are racists by virtue of their skin color.

These are the same poisonous attitudes that destroyed American achievement on college campuses so that China’s educational system now outperforms our own, and racist mediocrities like Ibram X. Kendi become intellectual celebrities. Gilday and his allies are hard at work trying to reward activism over ability and sow doubt about the merits of any sailor who is white.

The Chief of Naval Operations is dividing the men and women of the Navy by skin color and turning them against each other. When you are a 19-year-old deciding whether to risk your young life for your country how does being told by your military commanders that America is a 400-year-old cesspool of white racist oppression help you to make the decision to fulfill your oath to defend that country and its Constitution?

Gilday is undermining military readiness in the face of a possible naval conflict with enemies of the United States, especially the increasingly aggressive regime in Communist China.

Gilday’s indoctrination program is already a threat to national security and must be terminated before it’s too late. And the best way to do that is for him to resign or be forced to step down.

Our national security is at stake. Sign this petition and take a stand against Gilday’s destruction of the U.S. Navy.

Sign this petition and take a stand against Gilday’s destruction of the U.S. Navy.

Sincerely,

David Horowitz

Woke Left moving to take over last functional, patriotic institution – the military: Whistleblowers detail hundreds of cases of ‘anti-American indoctrination’

(Natural News) For decades, the left has made inroads into every American institution, taking over the arts and entertainment, academia, science, the federal bureaucracy, and, whenever possible, local, state and national government.

The U.S. military has managed to resist this infiltration, but in recent years — yes, even during the term of the most patriotic president in two generations, Donald Trump — leftists have made progress in the military.

And now that Joe Biden has been installed in the White House, the push to drive patriots out and replace them with propagandized, mind-numbed Communist cadres is in full-force.

It began with Biden’s appointment of Lloyd Austin as defense secretary. Austin, a retired U.S. Army four-star general, must have carried a chip on his shoulder his entire career, which was obviously very successful, because upon confirmation one of his first official acts was to order a 90-day stand-down of the entire military, so commanders could address the services’ most pressing issue: ‘Extremism in the ranks.’

Not Russia. Not China. Not Iran, North Korea, or foreign terrorists and cyber attackers. No. “Extremism” — as in, white extremism.

Since that outrage, the Army has put out a series of what can only be described as ‘woke’ recruiting ads, with one featuring a female soldier with two lesbian mothers and focuses on LGBTQ issues, and another involving a soldier who admitted growing up with psychological issues. This is what we’re using to attract recruits; what kind of ‘soldiers’ then, do you think America is going to get?

The pace at which the military is becoming a Marxist den has alarmed military vets in Congress including Arkansas GOP Sen. Tom Cotton, a Harvard Law-trained, former Army Ranger officer with two combat tours in Iraq, and Texas GOP Rep. Dan Crenshaw, a multiple combat tour U.S. Navy SEAL who nearly gave his life for our country but instead wound up losing an eye instead.

They launched a program in recent weeks aimed at identifying the level of wokeness that has permeated the force thus far, and what they have discovered is nothing short of alarming.

The Epoch Times reports:

Sen. Tom Cotton (R-Ark.) told Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin on June 10 that “hundreds” of military whistleblowers have reported being forced to receive “anti-American indoctrination” training, including critical race theory (CRT).

In a Senate hearing with Austin, Cotton claimed that within the military, there’s “plummeting morale, growing mistrust between races and sexes where none existed just six months ago and unexpected retirements and separations based on these trainings alone.”

Cotton said one whistleblower has alleged that a military history training course was replaced with curriculum dealing with police brutality, “white privilege,” and “systemic racism.” Another claimed his unit was forced to read “White Fragility” by Robin DiAngelo, a feminist author and critical theory proponent.

This comes after the U.S. Space Force relieved Lt. Col. Matthew Lohmeier, a former instructor and fighter pilot, from command of the 11th Space Warning Squadron because of comments he made denouncing CRT while warning about how Marxist ideology was spreading throughout the service branches.

In response, Austin came up with some BS claiming that curriculum is being developed and released that is “welcoming to everyone who can qualify and who is fit to serve” — though previous recruiting messages focused on toughness, competition, love of country, and commitment to service were working because the services were not suffering shortages of recruits.

“We ought to look like the America we support and defend, and senior leadership should look like what’s in the ranks,” Austin said.

What’s that got to do with anything? Not everyone can serve; it’s a privilege, not a right. And the Pentagon wasn’t putting out messages aimed at discouraging certain demographics from joining or outright discriminating against them.

So again, this is all garbage — it’s just an attempt to destroy the last truly non-partisan institution we have left, and that’s not going to bode well for our future.

RED ALERT: Biden regime makes boldest move in history of America to ban, register firearms using federal bureaucracy

(Natural News) When Democratic presidential contenders like Beto O’Rourke say they are going after our guns, they mean it. When Democratic presidential contenders say they are pro-Second Amendment and pro-Constitution, they are lying.

Both of these facts have been proven anew thanks to a heinous new rule introduced this week by the Biden regime.

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives believes it has the authority to confiscate, ban and register an entire class of firearms — tens of millions of them, in fact — without ever consulting Congress.

The rule seeks to ‘regulate’ the use of (ban) so-called “Stabilizing Braces” — attachments to sporting pistols like those chambered for the AR-15 round to make them easier (and safer) to fire by essentially turning them into rifles.

So why that suddenly makes a difference to these gun-grabbing sons 0f you-know-whats is beyond us, given that actual AK and AR-style rifles will (for now) not be affected.

According to a fact sheet about the rule from SB Tactical, the rule, called, “Factoring Criteria for Firearms with Attached ‘Stabilizing Braces,'” is the second attempt by the agency to regulate the devices, the first rule having been withdrawn in December 2020 ahead of Biden’s expected ascendency into the Oval Office, which happened only because Democrats stole Donald Trump’s reelection victory.

“The [Notice of Proposed Rule Making] proposes amending the definition of the term ‘rifle,’ as contained in 27 CFR §§ 478.11 and 479.11, to ‘clarify that the term “rifle” includes any weapon with a rifled barrel and equipped with an attached ‘stabilizing brace’ that has objective design features and characteristics that indicate that the firearm is designed to be fired from the shoulder, as indicated on ATF Worksheet 4999,” the fact sheet begins.

“ATF explains that the purpose of the amendments would be to target attachments to pistols that the agency contends are designed to evade restrictions imposed by the Gun Control Act and the National Firearms Act,” which limits the size of shotguns and rifles, the fact sheet continues.

“While ATF acknowledges that some stabilizing braces are intended to assist those with disabilities or limited strength to fire pistols, ATF argues that the intent of many such braces is effectively to convert pistols into unregulated short-barreled rifles (SBRs),” says the fact sheet — a contention that makes no sense given that a) any firearm is ‘regulated’ in that every buyer must be cleared to purchase one; and b) making a short-barreled rifle into a rifle makes it (anyone?) a rifle.

So what’s the issue? Well, the issue is the Biden regime sees stabilizing braces as a way to get the camel’s nose under the tent of broader regulation and eventually registration and banning of all “assault weapon” types of rifles, and against the people’s will. Always remember, Democrats will never be ‘finished’ taking away guns until they can take away all of them, the Second Amendment be damned.

“ATF proposes applying a point system…to determine whether a particular stabilizing brace would convert an otherwise unregulated pistol into an SBR,” the summary continued. But regardless, “ATF says it reserves the right to classify a firearm as an SBR, even if it satisfies the point system on the Worksheet 4999.”

So, this is a ‘heads I win, tails you lose’ scenario the ATF is establishing for these SBRs, of which there are an estimated 20-40 million in circulation that have been legally purchased.

“This proposed rule would be the largest Executive Branch firearms ban/registration scheme in American history— forcing the registration or destruction of millions of privately-owned firearms, and the loss of thousands of good-paying jobs from hundreds of companies,” SB Tactical’s fact sheet continues. “Through the creation of an arbitrary points system (ATF Worksheet 4999), the proposed rule would ensure that 99% of the firearms already in circulation are suddenly unlawfully possessed.”

This is a naked gun grab by the regime. If you want to sound off on this unconstitutional BS — and you should — click here and let the ATF know you disapprove if this.

Federal Reserve Tells Employees Not to Use Terms Like ‘Founding Fathers’

BY RICK MORAN

SEE: https://pjmedia.com/news-and-politics/rick-moran/2021/06/12/federal-reserve-tells-employees-not-to-use-biased-terms-like-founding-fathers-n1454131;

republished below in full unedited for informational, educational & research purposes:

Employees of the Federal Reserve received some guidance from the Board of Governors back in April on how to communicate properly both in-house and with the public. As you might expect, it was an adventure in wokeness.

“Try to avoid words and phrases that may be considered offensive, pejorative, or prejudiced (whether consciously or unconsciously), as these can distract your audience from the ideas/information you’re trying to convey,” the guidance explained.

For most rational, sane human beings, it’s “distracting” to have this painfully conscious attempt to rid the language of  perceived “bias.” In fact, it’s downright jarring when you’re forced to try and understand why someone wouldn’t want to communicate as clearly as possible.

Fox News:

The guidance contains a list of “biased terms” to avoid, including “blacklist,” “grandfathered,” and “Founding Fathers.” Employees are instructed to use terms like “denied,” “legacy,” and “Founders” instead.

The Fed also said the terms “whitelisted, “manpower,” “manmade,” and “singular generic pronouns” – such as “he,” she,” “his,” and “hers” – should be replaced with more “bias-free” alternatives like “allowed,” “artificial,” and pronouns such as “they,” “their” and “theirs.”

This is not an attempt to eliminate “bias.” The bias will be there no matter what words are used. It’s silly to imagine otherwise. This is no less than an attempt to eliminate gender distinctions and mutilate the language to make it incomprehensible.

Only then can we be properly instructed in what something really means.

Related: Here’s How We Counter the Woke Revolution

What makes this effort so ridiculous is that advocates of bias-free language are dealing with hundreds of years of usage. It’s become part of the way we communicate. No one can change that by simply issuing “guidance,” or writing a memo or a book, and ordering the change.

King Canute would have had better luck ordering the tide not to come in.

Such speech codes are more frequently found on college campuses, where they have caused controversy, though they have become more common at government entities.

San Diego officials in 2016 had to walk back similar guidance, which instructed city employees not to use the term “Founding Fathers,” before it was scrapped.

We refer to the “Founding Fathers” because it is universally accepted that the group of colonists who gathered in Philadelphia in 1776 and created the United States out of an idea were all male. That’s not to say there weren’t females influencing the proceedings. Abigail Adams would rightly take offense at that. But at the time of America’s founding, women were condemned to a subservient public role.

The fact that it was terribly unfair doesn’t change the history of the time, no matter how woke modern sensibilities might be.

Oftentimes, advocates for eliminating bias from language simply want change for the sake of change. They are the enemies of tradition. All change is not good, just like all traditions are not good. Most people can discern where the truth lies and should be free to continue using language that is universally accepted in order to effectively communicate ideas.

Otherwise, we’re going to become the Tower of Babel on steroids.

Kristi Noem Vows to Fight Hateful Critical Race Theory

The 1776 Pledge to Save Our Schools takes aim at the destructive ideology.

In May, South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem became the first candidate nationwide to promise to combat action civics and the un-American ideology of critical race theory by signing the 1776 Pledge to Save Our Schools, a pledge drafted by a new patriotic education nonprofit.

“Teaching our children & grandchildren to hate their own country & pitting them against one another on the basis of race or sex is shameful & must be stopped. I’m proud to be the 1st candidate in America to sign ‘The 1776 Pledge to Save Our Schools,’” Noem wrote on Twitter.

Noem’s embrace of the pro-American education pledge came as state lawmakers nationwide consider legislation banning the teaching of critical race theory (CRT), which maintains, like the New York Times’ ahistorical 1619 Project, that America is an inherently racist nation.

It also came as Democrats promote the proposed “Civics Secures Democracy Act” in Congress, which involves handing out $1 billion per year in federal grants over six years for K–12 curriculum development, teacher training, and research on the teaching of history and civics. Some of the money will go toward action civics and promoting critical race theory.

“Many establishment Republicans are slowly awakening to this being an issue that people care about, said Russ Vought, who ran the Office of Management and Budget in the Trump administration and is now president of the Center for Renewing America, which focuses on anti-CRT efforts at the grassroots and state level.

“And I would say that the grassroots cares about this and election integrity more than any other issue right now. So, if you’re a Republican, and you are not doing something to combat critical race theory, you have no idea where your people are.”

Another group, 1776 Unites, which has the support of an array of black conservatives and liberals, scholars, writers, educators, activists, journalists, and entrepreneurs, was created earlier this year, as FrontPage reported in March. The group is a project of the Woodson Center, a community transformation and empowerment organization founded in 1981 by Robert L. Woodson Sr.

The group “maintains a special focus on voices in the black community who celebrate black excellence, reject victimhood culture, and showcase the millions of black Americans who have prospered by embracing the founding ideals of America,” according to its website.

Noem, a Republican, elaborated on her tweet in an op-ed with former Housing and Urban Development Secretary Ben Carson.

“A great nation cannot survive if its citizens are taught to hold their own country in contempt. Our Founders knew that people are not perfect – that is why they created an ingenious constitutional system of checks and balances. But that system also requires strong civic engagement by citizens who understand and defend the values and traditions that make America special,” Noem and Carson wrote.

“Critical race theory is a deliberate means to sow division and cripple our nation from within – one brainwashed and resentful student at a time. And while foreign adversaries like China and Russia surely work to inflame our divisions, we are doing this to ourselves.

Whether or not we can defeat this ascendant anti-Americanism is perhaps the most important cultural challenge of our lifetime, and fortunately, a growing number of courageous parents, grandparents and teachers understand the stakes and have begun to speak out and push back.”

“By focusing on this issue, we have the opportunity to create an entirely new, diverse coalition of voters for these values – one built upon a genuine love for our nation and our children,” they wrote.

“Critics often deride our push for truthful, patriotic education by claiming that we don’t want to have ‘difficult conversations’ about troubling aspects of our history. They’re wrong. Our children and grandchildren should understand the full picture – our fundamental values, our greatest achievements, and the long struggles to overcome injustice as well.”

“In doing so, they will learn the story of a brave and vibrant people. They will learn the stories of amazing men and women of every color and background who, for almost 250 years, have together fought, argued and strived to build a more perfect union,” they wrote.

For those not up-to-speed on the latest leftist euphemisms, action civics refers to K–12 students being made to protest and lobby for political causes for course credit.

Critical race theory spreads a false and hateful narrative about American history that exacerbates racial tensions, conservatives say.

CRT supporters denounce American culture and history as “Eurocentrism” and “whiteness.” It is “a variation of critical theory applied to the American context that stresses racial divisions and sees society in terms of minority racial groups oppressed by the white majority,” according to the 1776 Commission’s report.

“Equally significant to its intellectual content is the role Critical Race Theory plays in promoting fundamental social transformation,” the report states, “to impart an oppressor-victim narrative upon generations of Americans. This work of cultural revolution has been going on for decades, and its first political reverberations can be seen in 1960s America.”

The 1776 Commission was at odds with the anti-American ideology of Joe Biden, now our illegitimate, placeholder president, so of course he disbanded it hours after he was installed banana republic-style, surrounded by thousands of soldiers.

In Executive Order 13985, Biden rescinded legitimate President Donald Trump’s Executive Order 13950, which banned critical race theory in federal training, along with Trump’s Executive Order 13958, which created the 1776 Commission that sought to move U.S. education away from a radical curriculum that unduly emphasized race-related injustices of the past.

The pledge Noem signed is promoted by 1776 Action, a new 501(c)(4) nonprofit founded by Adam Waldeck, former aide to former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich. Gingrich and Carson support the group.

The anti-CRT movement has made a lot of inroads in Virginia.

Glenn Youngkin, Pete Snyder, Sergio de la Peña, Amanda Chase, Peter Doran, and Kirk Cox, candidates for the Republican Party nomination for governor of Virginia in May, also signed the pledge. Youngkin, who won the race, told Fox News before his victory: “As governor, I will not allow the political agenda of critical race theory to be taught in our schools. We will replace it with a high-quality civics curriculum.”

Loudoun County, Virginia, has become “ground zero” in the fight against critical race theory-based indoctrination in schools nationwide, according to Ian Prior, executive director of Fight for Schools, a Virginia political action committee.

CRT must be obliterated because it “seeks to view everything through the lens of race and believes all institutions, traditions, language, and history of this country are systemically racist,” he said.

In May, Fight for Schools launched a petition drive to remove 6 radical, pro-CRT members of the 9-member school district board—Denise Corbo, Beth Barts, Brenda Sheridan, Atoosa Reaser, Ian Serotkin, and Leslee King, all of whom are Democrats, The Epoch Times reported.

The 1776 Action pledge itself consists of a statement signed by the candidate promising constituents that he or she “will take concrete steps” to fix K-12 public schools.

The candidate pledges to “restore honest, patriotic education that cultivates in our children a profound love for our country,” and to “promote a curriculum that teaches that all children are created equal, have equal moral value under God, our Constitution, and the law, and are members of a national community united by our founding principles.”

The candidate also commits to “prohibit[ing] any curriculum that pits students against one another on the basis of race or sex,” and to “prevent[ing] schools from politicizing education by prohibiting any curriculum that requires students to protest and lobby during or after school.”

Among 1776 Action’s objectives are “supporting candidates for school boards, state boards of education, and other relevant offices who believe in teaching our children to love America,” and “defeating local and state education officials who indoctrinate our children with the false and divisive lies of the radical Left.”

The group also uses targeted messaging campaigns to pressure colleges and universities “to stop the anti-American propaganda,” and promote “pro-American alternatives to the radical version” of American history taught in so much of the country.

“1776 Action is an issue advocacy organization focused on stopping the anti-American indoctrination happening in our schools,” the group said. “Our goal is to make this a central voting issue in state and local elections where decisions over education are primarily made.”

“We’re doing that through ongoing ad campaigns, as well as the release of The 1776 Pledge to Save Our Schools to help parents evaluate relevant candidates and officials.”

“In classrooms across the country, the far Left is successfully indoctrinating children with anti-American lies and divisive theories that pit them against one another based on race and gender,” Waldeck told this writer.

“We don’t have decades to waste trying to persuade them that they are misguided, and so 1776 Action was founded to defeat them politically, culturally, institutionally and financially.”

Trump: “America Last” Biden, Dems “Destroying Our Country”

Trump: “America Last” Biden, Dems “Destroying Our Country”

Sounding very much like a candidate for 2024, former President Donald Trump leveled the anti-white, anti-Christian, anti-American Biden Regime last night in a speech before North Carolina’s Republicans.

At the state GOP convention in Greenville, Trump accused his successor of an “America Last” program of importing Latin America’s penniless masses, kowtowing to Red China, and attempting to impose the most hard-left agenda in American history.

Trump also wants to punish China for its role in creating the virus that caused the global pandemic, which in turn razed the American economy and, more importantly, killed thousands.

Joe Biden, Trump said, is trying to destroy the United States of America.

Hate-America Platform

“As we gather tonight, our country is being destroyed before our very own eyes,” Trump said of Democrat elected officials:

Crime is exploding. Police departments are being ripped apart and defunded. Can you believe that? Is that good politics, defund our police? Number one, it’s bad for our country, but think of it, defund our police. You know, I’ve long said they’re vicious, they’re violent. They, in many cases, hate our country and they have bad policy. Now, the bad news from our standpoint, they stick together. They don’t have some of the people like we have where they go on their own and they do what they have to. They stick together, and that’s the one thing they have. They stick together, but their policy is so bad.

But that’s not all.

“Illegal immigration is skyrocketing at a level that we’ve never seen before,” he said. “Drugs are pouring in. Gas prices are soaring. Our industries are being pillaged by foreign cyber attacks. That’s a lack of respect for our country and for our leaders.”

Continued Trump:

We’re going to take back our country.… We can’t allow bad things to happen to our country. Bad, bad things are happening to us, perhaps like never before.

Among them are record numbers of illegal aliens pouring across the border and not being deported. Trump said he gave Biden the most secure border in history because he began building a wall.

While “the number of illegal aliens coming across our border declined by an astounding 91 percent,” he said, “under Joe Biden, illegal crossings are up nearly 1,000 percent compared to the same period last year.”

Trump elaborated, reprising his 2016 campaign theme: “They’re not sending their best.”

Continued Trump:

They’re emptying their prisons. They’re sending murderers, drug dealers, human traffickers, and others just as bad to the United States. Let the United States take care of them. Remember it’s called America last. In April alone, over 175,000 illegal aliens were apprehended and mostly released. You know where they were released, right? They were released into our country and we saw the largest number ever of unaccompanied minors. We’ve never seen anything like it….

You don’t see it too much on the evening news yet, but you’re going to see it because they’re destroying our country.

Trump noted a recent report that 1,000 illegals per day slip past border agents “as the radical Democrats have intentionally, ruthlessly, and systematically dismantled the sovereign borders of the United States of America. We have people just walking into our country. Nobody knows who they are, where they’re from. There’s no vetting, there’s no anything. And some of these people are very, very bad people.”

Trump also explained the obvious, so even the most obtuse Democrat can understand it: “Without a border, you cannot have a nation, certainly not a great nation. We fight for other country’s borders, but we don’t fight for our own border.”

The Democrats, he said, have “turned America into a sanctuary for criminal aliens.”

China Must Pay

“But the border is just the beginning of the Biden disasters,” he said.

Trump noted that Biden cost the country 48,000 jobs the minute he shut down the Keystone Pipeline and that he handed Biden the “greatest economy in the history of the world.”

Biden is set on wrecking it, he said. The “economy is going to Hell and inflation is going to cause a catastrophe in the near future.” As well, Biden re-entered the anti-American Paris Climate Accord and sent gas prices up 71 percent from a year ago.

“Democrats are now attempting to pass the largest tax hike in American history and it will affect everybody,” Trump said. “They’re saying it’s against the rich. It’s against everybody.”

Democrats are also “pushing a $2.25 trillion infrastructure bill that’s not infrastructure,” he said:

The Democrat legislation also includes an extreme plan to abolish single family home zoning, which would obliterate your home values, increase crime, and destroy the suburbs all to satisfy the far-left agenda of AOC, Bernie Sanders, Rashida Tlaib, and Ilhan Omar, who is telling us how to run our country.”

Trump expounded on the anti-American Omar with a simple truth:

She comes from a country that’s done a wonderful job running their country. Now, she’s telling us how to run our country. While Democrats push economic policies designed to punish American workers, Republicans must keep on fighting to protect, promote, and uplift the American worker who we cherish.

Trump also expects China to pay the bill for the virus it unleashed. “The media, the Democrats, and the so-called experts are now finally admitting what I first said 13 months ago,” he said. “The evidence demonstrates that the virus originated in a Chinese government lab.”

The penalty must be harsh:

The United States should immediately take steps to phase in a firm 100 percent tariff on all goods made in China….

All nations should work together to present China a bill for a minimum of $10 trillion to compensate for the damage they’ve caused. That’s a very low number. The damage is far, far greater than that. As a first step, all countries should collectively cancel any debt they owe to China as a down payment on reparations. The nations of the world should no longer owe money to China. China has destroyed so many nations. But China should owe money to the nations of the world. They’ve been destroyed. These nations have been destroyed.

Trump attacked government-run schools that indoctrinate children with leftist ideology, and said leftists “slander our country, disparage our founding, divide our children” and are “willing to weaponize the law itself to persecute their political opponents.”

Of course, Trump touted his own administration’s record, particularly with the development of three China Virus vaccines.

He also returned to last year’s suspicious presidential election and vote fraud, and warned what “we” would do once in power — again, a suggestion that he might be a candidate in 2024:

We will break up the big tech monopolies, reject left-wing cancel culture, restore free speech in America, and demand free, fair and honest transparent elections. We will strengthen our military, support our great police, and always take care of our amazing veterans.

A South Dakota federal judge has further denied Republican Gov. Kristi Noem’s request for a permit allowing fireworks over Mount Rushmore to celebrate Independence Day, The Hill reported Wednesday.

President Joe Biden's administration initially denied Noem’s permit request to celebrate the Fourth of July with fireworks, citing the COVID-19 pandemic and respect for Native American tribes as reasons.

“Potential risks to the park itself and to the health and safety of employees and visitors associated with the fireworks demonstration continue to be a concern and are still being evaluated as a result of the 2020 event,” wrote Herbert Frost, National Park Service regional director, at the time the denial was issued. “In addition, the park’s many tribal partners expressly oppose fireworks at the Memorial. These factors, compiled with the COVID-19 pandemic, do not allow safe and responsible fireworks display to be held at this site.”

Noem sued to appeal the denial.

U.S. District Judge Roberto Lange, an appointee of President Barack Obama, issued the 36-page decision, which denied preliminary judgment to Noem based on the unlikelihood of her prevailing in her suit against federal officials, according to the report.

“This Court fully understands the State's position and why this suit was brought,” Lange’s decision read. “But under governing law, the State is unlikely to succeed on the merits of its claims and has not met the requirements for interim legal relief.”

Lange said in his decision that the reasons cited by the Biden administration were not "arbitrary and capricious."

Noem said she would appeal the decision.

"I am disappointed that the court gave cover to this unlawful action with today’s decision. But rest assured, this fight is not over," Noem said.

"My legal team will appeal this incorrect decision so that we can return the Fireworks Celebration to Mount Rushmore and celebrate our nation’s birthday at America’s Shrine to Democracy for next year and in the future,” Noem said in a statement following the ruling.

Last year, President Donald Trump held a national celebration at the monument for the first time since 2009, when the celebration was paused due to concerns about wildfires, CNN reported at the time.

The gathering was criticized for the lack of masks and social distancing amid the pandemic.

On Memorial Day, Celebrate Such Men and Women Because They Lived

U.S.A. -(AmmoLand.com)- There’s a serenity about Section 60 at Arlington National Cemetery. It is a peaceful place. It’s where I choose to celebrate Memorial Day.

Some might feel it is an odd expression to say someone celebrates Memorial Day. This is the day, of course, set aside to memorialize those who have fallen in war defending our nation. Arlington National Cemetery’s Section 60 is where many of those men and women who fought and died in Iraq, Afghanistan, and other far-flung places in the War on Terror are buried.

It is where they are at rest. Arlington National Cemetery is where I know too many names etched on the white marble headstones. It is 639 acres of ground sanctified by the blood of our nation’s warriors dating back to the Civil War. This ground, and the hundreds of national cemeteries around the country and overseas, is where millions will pause, remember these men and women and take stock of what they fought so bravely to preserve.

Their Lives

We visit their final resting places but hold them in our memories and in our hearts. That’s where they live. I celebrate them for the indelible mark they made on my life and the devotion to our nation’s highest ideals.

They are Marines with whom I served. I lived with them. I laughed with them. I struggled through dark days with them. And now, I celebrate them.

They were men like Major Doug Zembiec, known as the “Lion of Fallujah” who stood on tanks in the middle of battles to direct fire into buildings so his Marines could advance. Buried here too is Master Sgt. Aaron Torian, a Marine Special Operator who I came to know in 2006 when he patrolled areas south of Fallujah that were wrought with danger. There’s also Major Megan McClung, a marathoner who organized a forward-deployed Marine Corps Marathon race, complete with medals for the finishers.

They are among the dozens and dozens of men and women we pause to remember. I celebrate them.

Nothing negates the loss of these warriors. Time heals, but the absence lingers. There are moments for that. That’s not where I remain. I choose to celebrate them.

Their Gift

I celebrate that such men and women lived. They truly lived life to its full potential. They poured out their hearts for their nation they loved. They fought valiantly on the field of battle and they honored the ideals and promise of our nation with their sacrifice.

Many of us in the firearm industry know this. Many of us have worn our nation’s uniforms and ran to the sound of gunfire. We’ve mourned the days we lost men and women like these. Those were hard days, carrying flag-draped transfer cases aboard aircraft to be sent home one final time.

Especially those of us in the firearm industry, we know how truly fortunate we are to have such men and women among us. We are blessed that they stood to be counted and those who served alongside them know how much better we are because of them.

That’s why on Memorial Day, I invite you to celebrate them too. I invite you to recognize the gift of freedom they preserved for our nation. Take a moment to honor that sacrifice and weigh the cost of the freedom we enjoy.

Then celebrate that such men and women lived.

Trump’s 1776 Commission to Reassemble, Tackle Critical Race Theory in History Education

Members of the 1776 Commission, which President Joe Biden disbanded on his first day in White House, are reportedly set to meet again with a renewed focus on combating the teaching of U.S. history based on the Marxist critical race theory.

Lincoln Project Scam Creates Franklin Subsidiary. Outfit That Protected Homosexual Stalker Plans to Connect With School Kids

BY R. CORT KIRKWOOD

In February, the scamsters at the disgraced Lincoln Project announced an “independent probe” to explain how the project’s masters permitted founder John Weaver to use his position to solicit at least 21 young men for sex.

Apparently, the group hasn’t had time to wrap up that investigation. But they have had time to concoct another scheme to separate gullible liberals from their money: the Franklin Project.

It will create a curriculum for school kids, kindergarten through grade 12, and also recruit a nationwide “Democracy Corps.” The project will focus on “civility” and “decency,” something of a rich claim coming from people who denounced Trump supporters as rubes and hillbillies.

Fool Them Twice

A video at the Lincoln Project’s Twitter feed opens with the word civility and its definition against a black screen. It’s a “way of approaching debate with constructing dialogue, focusing on results that benefit the community,” the video says.

The video segues into photos of late presidents Richard Nixon and Lyndon Johnson shaking hands. “We’re at our best when we’re all moving the same direction,” former President Barack Hussein Obama intones as the photos roll by.

You needn’t be Ben Franklin to know what direction that is, but anyway, the video explains that “democracy is born out of civility,” and “is more than an idea.” More photos show former presidents Bill Clinton and George W. Bush standing together, and then President Biden and former Vice President Mike Pence wearing masks and bumping elbows.

Representative Liz Cheney of Wyoming, recently dumped from the House GOP leadership because of her obsession with former President Trump, explains that “we must love America so much that we will stand above politics to defend her.”

“Franklin organizers believe civics discussions have devolved from an exchange of ideas to ‘an unhealthy game of winners and losers,’ as their prospectus states, Axios reported. “That’s triggered extreme partisanship, fueling the rise of authoritarian figures.”

Frighteningly, the scamsters who permitted a homosexual stalker to harass and bully young men and boys — one of whom was 14 years old — will provide “a K-12 civics education program it will offer free to local school districts.”

The Franklinites will also create a “Democracy Corps” to “advocate for and amplify the values upon which America was founded.”

Greg Jenkins, who toiled for globalist George W. Bush, explained why the Lincoln Project founders created the subsidiary.

“There are plenty of frustrated people out there who don’t know what to do, don’t know where to go, they don’t feel like either of the parties are representing them adequately, and they’re right,” he told Axios. “So, what we will do is tell these folks, ‘Listen, you’re not alone.’”

Continued Jenkins:

We’re going to provide you content that reminds you about your roles — as a citizen, what it means to be a citizen, what you can do.

If progressives and conservatives don’t feel at home with us, then they have a problem. Self-identified Republicans and Democrats ought to feel perfectly at home.

Civility and Decency?

If Jenkins is to focus on “civility” and decency,” he’ll probably need to speak with Lincoln Project founder Rick Wilson, a washed-up political hack who, like other principals, banked oodles of money with the hate-Trump scam.

Early last year, “civility” advocate Wilson had quite the time ridiculing Trump supporters as a “boomer rube” demographic.

“Donald Trump’s the smart one, and there all y’all, y’all elitists are duuuumb,” Wilson said on CNN. Of course, he affected a fake Southern accent.

Whatever the IQ of Trump supporters, Wilson isn’t the sharpest knife in the drawer. He thought people would believe that Lincoln project founders didn’t know about Weaver’s homosexual stalking.

“Stop the lying,” project founder George Conway finally tweeted. The project’s principals were well aware of Weaver’s stalking, he averred.

At the height of the scandal, the Associated Press divulged that some project principals lined their pockets. “Of the $90 million Lincoln Project has raised,” AP reported, “more than $50 million has gone to firms controlled by the group’s leaders.”

The project’s donations page, which closed at the height of the scandal, has re-opened

Credulous leftists who believe in “civility” and “decency” can start donating again.

Critical Race Theory at School is Weaponizing Kids Against America

Rumble — In this episode of Behind The Deep State, host Alex Newman explores the Marxist weapon known as "Critical Race Theory" and how it is being used to weaponize America's children against their own families and nation. The issue is never the issue, the issue is always the revolution, Newman explains. And that includes this "Race" and "Racism" issue. Do not let your children be brainwashed to believe these lies.

The Debate Over Critical Race Theory Accelerates; Which States Will Prevail?

“Antiracism,” at first glance, suggests a noble idea challenging any form of racial supremacy. Yet as an ideology, it’s a highly effective weapon in the Left’s armory. But do Americans truly understand the core beliefs and values associated with the concept? Or how it works as a powerful tool to indoctrinate our children and young adults? Or how it’s used to convince people that it’s a righteous, responsible ideal we should not only embrace but celebrate?

A pervasive term in progressive dogma, “antiracism” demands that an “oppressor class,” i.e., white, straight, Christian males, must atone for its “power and privilege.” And today, “antiracism,” as an orthodoxy, is becoming increasingly prevalent and elevated in public schools and government institutions, as well as the corporate workplace and even some religious communities.

Originating from 19th-century revolutionary ideals drawn from Marxist principles — which sought to overthrow capitalist governments and replace them with socialist ones, no matter the human cost — “antiracism” embodies the Orwellian idea of “ending racism by seeing it everywhere,” as proposed by James Lindsay and Helen Pluckrose in their book Cynical Theories: How Activist Scholarship Made Everything About Race, Gender, and Identity — And Why This Harms Everyone.

People cannot simply describe themselves as “not racist,” says antiracist expert Ibram X. Kendi, director of the Center for Antiracist Research at Boston University. “In order to be truly antiracist, you also have to be truly anti-capitalist.”

In Kendi’s America, “identity is the means and Marxism is the end,” explains documentary filmmaker and author Christopher Rufo in his essay, “Critical Race Theory: What It Is and How to Fight It.” Under this worldview, capitalism is overthrown by (racial or sexual) identity- and equity-based politics, resulting in “An equity-based form of government [that] would mean the end of not only private property, but also of individual rights, equality under the law, federalism, and freedom of speech. These would be replaced by race-based redistribution of wealth, group-based rights, active discrimination, and omnipotent bureaucratic authority,” writes Rufo.

An idea infiltrating our institutions through a methodology known as critical race theory (CRT), which holds that “race is a social construct that was created by white privilege and white supremacy,” according to Lindsay and Pluckrose, is the notion that all white people contribute to racism, and thus must conform to “antiracism.”

For decades, budding leftists have worked stealthily and subtly to transform and undermine the American education system and basic American freedoms. While Americans were sleeping, “woke” college professors have indoctrinated millions of millennials, who have strayed from family values and norms and entered a workforce prizing “diversity, equity, and inclusion” as defined by a singular worldview.

In September 2020, when President Trump banned CRT training in federal government agencies, the Left bore down even harder, with President Biden reversing Trump’s order and dissolving the 1776 Project, which sought to reinstate patriotic curriculum in the schools.

From “Common Core” to “Culturally Responsive”

Today, Democrat-led states, such as Illinois, Washington, Oregon, New York, and California, require educators to abide by rigorous new rules, including Culturally Responsive Teaching and Leading Standards (CRTL Standards), which demand teachers become “culturally responsive” to a host of social and political issues, and “create curriculum content to include a counter-narrative to dominant culture,” among other mandates.

These new regulations are setting a strong precedence, to be incorporated into all teacher trainings and certification requirements. Moreover, teachers who refuse to comply could face disciplinary action or termination.

Just this week, Washington State Governor Jay Inslee, a Democrat, signed into law Senate Bill 5044, ensuring K-12 educators will “continue the important work of dismantling institutional racism in public schools and recognize the importance of increasing equity, diversity, inclusion, antiracism, and cultural competency training throughout the entire public school system by providing training programs for classified staff, certificated instructional staff, certificated administrative staff, superintendents, and school directors.”

Per this bill, as illustrated in a report by the state Senate Committee on Early Learning and K-12 Education, teachers will adopt “updated cultural competency standards” comprised of “anti-racism standards, an equity framework, and culturally responsive instruction.”

Additionally, educators must demonstrate knowledge of the following concepts:

  • cultural competency, or “awareness of student cultural histories and contexts, as well as family norms and values in different cultures”
  • diversity, “the presence of similarities and differences within a given setting, collective, or group based on multiple factors including race and ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability status, age, etc.”
  • equity, “developing, strengthening, and supporting procedural and outcome fairness in systems, procedures, and resource distribution mechanisms to create equitable opportunities for all individuals.”
  • inclusion, “describes intentional efforts and consistent sets of actions to create and sustain a sense of respect, belonging, safety, and attention to individual needs and backgrounds.”

Long gone are the three Rs, as none of the foundational concepts of reading, writing, and arithmetic are mentioned in the new standards. Moreover, using taxpayer funds, the Washington state school district will require educators to complete several days of professional learning during the school year, focusing on one or more of the topics of cultural competency, diversity, equity, or inclusion.

In a recent presentation, Alex Newman, education writer and executive director of Public School Exit, likened government schools to a burning building from which parents must get their children out. “Do not let your children be brainwashed to believe these lies,” said Newman, who encourages homeschooling as the primary solution to pushing back on a system that increasingly divides children into “oppressed” and “oppressor groups” and claims that “white teachers are guilty of spirit murdering black children.”

Rufo, who is spearheading the movement to abolish critical race theory indoctrination in America’s public institutions, has been tracking introduced legislation in states across the country, including ArizonaArkansasIdahoIowa, and Louisiana, among others, that are banning the promotion of “race essentialism, collective guilt, and state-sanctioned racism.”

These Republican-controlled states are prohibiting “divisive” and “dangerous” bills that demand children identify their race, gender (at this point in time there are more than 60 terms for gender identities), and sexual orientation based on alleged notions of “oppression,” “white privilege,” and “systemic racism,” for the purpose of advancing social activism.

House bills in TexasTennessee, and Missouri, for example, bar “the teaching of ‘divisive concepts’ in state agencies and public schools, including universities.” Other states, such as Iowa, have initiated House and Senate bills that prohibit “race stereotyping and divisive concepts in state agencies, including schools; restrict funding to public schools, including universities, for teaching 1619 Project curriculum materials; and offer First Amendment protections, prohibiting race and sex stereotyping and divisive concepts in public institutions.”

The debate must move from the academic to the political realm, as Rufo suggests, and we are beginning to see that happen, which is a step in the right direction.

Since 2010, when Common Core ushered in a cornucopia of government-issued standards of education, far-left ideologues have been rewriting the roles of educators. The CRTL standards are also game-changing and will alter public education for a generation of children. Teachers and parents nationwide must be made aware of the proposed revisions, as the impact of these states’ decision to embrace critical race theory will be lifelong.

“When they see what is happening, Americans are naturally outraged,” writes Rufo. “Critical race theory promotes three ideas — race essentialism, collective guilt, and neo-segregation — which violate the basic principles of liberty and justice…. We must have courage — the fundamental virtue required in our time…. Truth and justice are on our side. If we can muster the courage, we will win.”

“Free Speech Is in Danger Today in America,” As Biden Becomes First President to Omit “God” from National Day of Prayer Proclamation

The Real Story-OANN: Prayer Cancelled in Biden’s America

Rumble — Biden completely omitted the word God from his proclamation on The National Day of Prayer. The Democrats forbid the public from honoring The National Day of Prayer with a prayer service at the Capitol, cancelling a 70-year old tradition. But that's not going to stop us from praying for them and our country.

President Joe Biden, who identifies as a devout Catholic, issued on Wednesday the annual proclamation of a National Day of Prayer, without mentioning any deity.

The National Day of Prayer is an annual day of observance held on the first Thursday of May, designated by the U.S. Congress, when people are asked “to turn to God in prayer and meditation.” The president is required by law (36 U.S.C. § 119) to sign a proclamation each year, encouraging all Americans to pray on this day.

The May 5 statement says that “throughout our history, Americans of many religions and belief systems have turned to prayer for strength, hope, and guidance. Prayer has nourished countless souls and powered moral movements — including essential fights against racial injustice, child labor, and infringement on the rights of disabled Americans.”

“Today, we remember and celebrate the role that the healing balm of prayer can play in our lives and in the life of our Nation,” the Biden’s proclamation reads. “As we continue to confront the crises and challenges of our time — from a deadly pandemic to the loss of lives and livelihoods in its wake, to a reckoning on racial justice, to the existential threat of climate change — Americans of faith can call upon the power of prayer to provide hope and uplift us for the work ahead.”

Additionally, the president attributed the creation of “a Nation of remarkable religious vitality and diversity across the generations” to “the right of all Americans to pray” guaranteed by the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.

It did not take long for many Americans to realize that Biden’s message, actually, did not include the word “God.” Neither “Jesus” nor “Bible” was mentioned. The most explicit remark Biden seemed to make related to God was, “Because human beings are the most dynamic link to the divine on this planet.” It remained unclear how this communicates with our unique beliefs as a Christian nation, because even pagan religions believe humans have a connection to the divine, including those who sustain this connection with animal and human sacrifices.

Biden included a quote from the late Representative John Lewis (D-Ga.), but couldn’t even bother referencing a Bible verse or Old or New Testament figures.

Historically, every proclamation since 1953 — the first year proclamations were required under law — had included “God” until this year. Most proclamations mentioned “God” multiple times.

Reverend Franklin Graham was shocked by Biden skipping the word “God.” “Of course we need to call on God — and not just some generic ‘gods’ or some ‘power’ in the air – but on God himself, the Creator who made and created this Earth and who sent his Son, Jesus Christ from Heaven to this Earth to save mankind from sin by dying on a cross.” “There is no one else to pray to except to God,” he added.

Conservative radio host Todd Starnes, author of God Less America, also weighed in on Biden’s omission. “Regarding Biden’s godless National Day of Prayer proclamation: The problem with the Democrats is that they don’t believe that we are endowed by our Creator with certain unalienable rights,” he wrote on Twitter. “They believe we are endowed by the government.”

Christian Broadcasting Network’s Senior Political Analyst David Brody rebuked the speech, tweeting: “Joe Biden’s National Day of Prayer Proclamation has been released and it doesn’t even mention God once! How do you release a proclamation about prayer and not mention God at all? Of course it mentions climate change & racial justice. Truly, this is pathetic…and not surprising!”

In addition to Biden’s literally godless proclamation, an evangelical Christian group was denied use of the U.S. Capitol for prayer service for the first time in decades.

According to Christian Headlines, Reverend Patrick Mahoney, director of the Christian Defense Coalition, was refused to host this year’s National Day of Prayer at the Capitol building. Following the refusal of a traditional request, Reverend Mahoney  tweeted: “After our permit was denied, for the first time in 70 years, there will be NO PUBLIC witness at the U.S. Capitol Building for the National Day Of Prayer! Brothers and sisters, free speech is in danger today in America.”

People of faith believe that there is a blessing and a great power that flows to those who pray. In our impotent humanity, we are blessed to be able to reach upward to God and know that He hears us. But anyone who prays needs to address the One he prays to, as described in John 14:13-14. Prayer requires addressing God directly, not only through the faith of Christianity, which arguably serves as the spiritual foundation of America, but in other major religions practiced among her citizens, such as JudaismIslamHinduism, and Buddhism

WHY WOULDN'T BIDEN SAY HIS NAME?

The White House Proclamation in Its Entirety

Throughout our history, Americans of many religions and belief systems have turned to prayer for strength, hope, and guidance. Prayer has nourished countless souls and powered moral movements — including essential fights against racial injustice, child labor, and infringement on the rights of disabled Americans.  Prayer is also a daily practice for many, whether it is to ask for help or strength, or to give thanks over blessings bestowed.

The First Amendment to our Constitution protects the rights of free speech and religious liberty, including the right of all Americans to pray.  These freedoms have helped us to create and sustain a Nation of remarkable religious vitality and diversity across the generations.

Today, we remember and celebrate the role that the healing balm of prayer can play in our lives and in the life of our Nation.  As we continue to confront the crises and challenges of our time — from a deadly pandemic, to the loss of lives and livelihoods in its wake, to a reckoning on racial justice, to the existential threat of climate change — Americans of faith can call upon the power of prayer to provide hope and uplift us for the work ahead.  As the late Congressman John Lewis once said, “Nothing can stop the power of a committed and determined people to make a difference in our society.  Why?  Because human beings are the most dynamic link to the divine on this planet.”

On this National Day of Prayer, we unite with purpose and resolve, and recommit ourselves to the core freedoms that helped define and guide our Nation from its earliest days.  We celebrate our incredible good fortune that, as Americans, we can exercise our convictions freely — no matter our faith or beliefs.  Let us find in our prayers, however they are delivered, the determination to overcome adversity, rise above our differences, and come together as one Nation to meet this moment in history.

The Congress, by Public Law 100-307, as amended, has called on the President to issue each year a proclamation designating the first Thursday in May as a “National Day of Prayer.”

NOW, THEREFORE, I, JOSEPH R. BIDEN JR., President of the United States of America, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the Constitution and the laws of the United States, do hereby proclaim May 6, 2021, as a National Day of Prayer.  I invite the citizens of our Nation to give thanks, in accordance with their own faiths and consciences, for our many freedoms and blessings, and I join all people of faith in prayers for spiritual guidance, mercy, and protection.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand this fifth day of May, in the year of our Lord two thousand twenty-one, and of the Independence of the United States of America the two hundred and forty-fifth.

Anti-BLM Parent: America Won’t “Survive Teaching Our Children to Hate Their Country and Their History”

George Santayana’s famous saying “Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it” requires some delineation:

  • Those who cannot remember the triumphs of the past are likely condemned not to repeat them, and
  • Those who are told the mistakes of the past were triumphs will repeat them.

New York City parent Andrew Gutmann understands this well. Gutmann, who attracted national attention by issuing a now-viral letter addressed to Brearley School parents warning of the institution’s fatal race obsession, has sounded another alarm.

“We already do a horrific job in this country teaching history, and now we’re going to make that 10 times worse, we’re going to eradicate that,” the father told Fox News in a new interview.

“Our country doesn’t survive not teaching history and civics, and it sure as hell doesn’t survive teaching our children to hate their country and their history.”

Gutmann is correct: What he warned of regarding posh private school Brearly, which he pulled his daughter from recently after seven years’ attendance, is a nationwide phenomenon.

Moreover, the Critical Race Theory obsession now sweeping academia — which teaches hatred of whites, America, and Western culture — is just the latest iteration of the Howard Zinn-aided, Gramscian march through the institutions that began many, many decades ago.

Gutmann said in his interview that Brearly parents — who pay $54,000-yearly tuition for the indoctrination — and their children were pressured by the school to become Black Lives Matter (BLM) activists.

This is despite BLM being a neo-Marxist organization whose members once chanted that they want “dead cops.” The group also demands the abolition of police; the “repeal of all immigration restrictions”; “the legalization of sex work”; “the destruction of the Western-prescribed nuclear family”; and, according to a report last year by commentator Tucker Carlson, “the forced reallocation of farmland” (à la Zimbabwe).

Tellingly, some of these toxic positions were featured on BLM’s website — until the group gained greater institutional acceptance and removed its older “Guiding Principles” page so it could masquerade as palatable. (The original page can still be found via an archiving service here.)

Yet many American schools are now taking a leaf from BLM’s book. As for Brearly, Gutmann says that the school “made it sound like they’re going to integrate this racial curriculum, this anti-racism curriculum, into everything — every class, into math, into gym, P.E.; it was shocking that they were taking that degree of integrating it into everything.”

Note that this is a hallmark of “ideological nations,” where the official state ideology is “pervasive,” to use a word Gutmann did when describing BLM racialism’s dominance at Brearly.

The father also mentioned that the Left’s new “Silence is violence” mentality reigns at the school. If “you just stay silent, you’re racist,” he lamented. “You have to be an activist for that. If you’re not an activist for an anti-racism initiative, for Black Lives Matter, for example, you are racist, you are a bad person, you are an oppressor, you are not doing the right thing.”

You can watch clips of Gutmann’s interview here. His original letter, which is quite compelling, was related in the video below.

One of the most striking things about the Critical Race Theory phenomenon is how unintellectual its embrace is. It basically originated last Tuesday (figuratively speaking), but “educators” coast to coast behave as if it’s enlightening, timeless brilliance from on high.

It’s a fad, and its popularity reflects a deeper problem: The prevalence of “changeist,” immature moderns who treasure the spirit of the age over the ageless, who prefer “Thursday over Wednesday because it is Thursday,” as G.K. Chesterton put it. Detached from and not believing in Truth, they’ll embrace a lie as long as it’s the latest thing on the cocktail-party circuit.

Today’s anti-American racialist lie is a destructive one, too. Author George Orwell once noted that the “most effective way to destroy people is to deny and obliterate their own understanding of their history.” This is now a fait accompli in America.

When I worked with kids, I once asked a small group of them who the “Father of America” was. Their answer wasn’t George Washington — it was Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. These were upper-class white children, too.

Then there was the 14-year-old I was instructing in religious education who, I discovered, hadn’t heard of Adolf Hitler. Both these incidents occurred 15 to 20 years ago, too, do note.

Now, question: If you don’t know much about American history’s arguably most important figure or are ignorant of the 20th-century’s most notorious one, what of historical importance do you know?

Studies indicate that American youth don’t know much. This matters because, harking back to my opening lines, history is essentially a record of a series of man’s social experiments. And it’s as with a scientist: He remains mindful of his field’s record of experiments so that he can say, “Oh, we tried that before and it didn’t work” or “Yes, that bore fruit; we should now build upon it.”

Of course, though, if children know nothing of history, you can easily feed them a revisionist version of it and make them think that good was bad and bad, good. And now you know part of the reason why a 2020 poll found that “70 percent of Millennials say they are likely to vote for a socialist while one in three view communism favorably,” as Campus Reform reported last year.

Moreover, “22 percent of millennials believe ‘society would be better if all private property was abolished,’” the site also related.

And this is what happens when good history and virtue are abolished. But what needs to be abolished is any curriculum reflecting so-called “leftism” and any educator advocating it. Unless there’s a patriotic march through the institutions that tramples Gramsci’s ghost, what remains of the American spirit will be relegated to the grave.

Biden Pushes Founders’ America to the Brink

Will we pass the test or fall into the abyss of history?

James Madison, hailed as the father of our Constitution, is probably turning over in his grave given the shredding of our God-given constitutional values and principles upon which we were founded.

Madison recognized that since concentrating power leads to tyranny, dividing government power was essential for the preservation of liberty. He will never be accused of being short-sighted about the threats government would pose to the people.

Madison and others set out deliberately to design a form of government that would limit abuses and withstand the test of time. America now faces that test, and the central question that has emerged is: Will we pass the test, or will we fall into the abyss of history as other nation-states have done?

Along with other framers of our nation’s Constitution, Madison argued for dividing federal power among the three branches of our government — legislative, executive, and judicial. These should be studied and clearly understood by every American schoolchild from an early age, but to our nation’s and our children’s detriment, they are not.

And what is even less understood is why the Founders adopted a structure that they knew would result in conflict among the branches. In truth, the constitutional structure was designed not to enhance the efficiency of the government but to impede the exercise of raw governmental power and to protect the liberty of the people.

Separation of powers is not a flaw in our system of government, as many demanding changes increasingly assert. It is purposely designed to protect our constitutional republic from the tyranny of a few — tyranny that today is knocking down the door of America.

Contrast the original design chosen by our framers with the intemperate statements of President Biden, who demands Congress yield to his will on matters such as gun control, under the threat that he will usurp the role of Congress by signing executive orders.

Consider the effect of the Democrats’ dangerous threat to pack the Supreme Court if it does not bow to President Biden’s broad claims to executive authority in violation of the separation of powers. Explain why 20 of our 50 Republican senators voted to confirm Merrick Garland as attorney general — under whose leadership the Department of Justice just conducted an early-morning raid on the law office and apartment of President Trump’s former lawyer, Rudy Giuliani.

To fully appreciate how dangerous these recent developments are, only three months into the Biden administration, Americans must now revisit the original plan.

In 1788, Madison penned Federalist No. 51 to persuade the people of New York to ratify the Constitution. He explained the rationale for dividing federal power among three branches of government as “contriving the interior structure of the government” so that “its several constituent parts may, by their mutual relations, be the means of keeping each other in their proper places.”

All said, having three branches place checks and balances on each other to prevent an out-of-control government keeps imperfect humans from gaining too much power.

Again, the ideas of Madison were intentional in order to select persons to serve in each branch of government in a manner that would prevent one branch from controlling the other. Our Constitution was designed so that each branch would be able to operate within its sphere independently from the other branches.

And it was structured so that each branch would have “the necessary constitutional means and personal motives to resist encroachments of the others.”

“Ambition must be made to counteract ambition,” Madison wrote. God knows we have seriously ambitious politicians now “serving” who are hungry for even more power for themselves — but so far the Democrats in Congress are embracing the far-left Biden/Harris/AOC agenda lock, stock and barrel.

Madison considered this separation as not some mere preference but instead absolutely “essential to the preservation of liberty.” As a student of history, Madison fully expected that the government he helped create would eventually become abusive of its citizens. He wrote that the separation of powers was “necessary to control the abuses of government” because government was no more than an assembly of sinful men (and women).

He asked, “[W]hat is government itself, but the greatest of all reflections on human nature?” Then he penned his famous line: “If men were angels, no government would be necessary.”

So Madison grounded the need to separate powers in the very nature of man. His is a distinctly biblical view of man, which makes clear we have all been born with original sin. “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23).

Madison was a practical, God-fearing man and a realist — something we need more of today — and he understood the fallen nature of those who would serve in government. The reality is that we have a government composed of sinful people exercising authority over a population of sinful people.

It will ever be thus, but effective checks on the government’s exercise of its power truly are “essential to the preservation of liberty.”

Where did the idea of “separation of powers” originate? The principle of separation of powers is attributed to the French political theorist Baron de Montesquieu.  The framers were well familiar with Montesquieu and his treatise “The Spirit of the Laws,” written decades earlier, in which he advocated dividing power among branches of government.

But where did Montesquieu find that concept? In Book I, Chapter I, of his “Spirit of the Laws” he confesses that God is our “creator and preserver.”  He explains that man “constantly violates the laws God has established,” as “he is subject to ignorance and error” and “falls subject to a thousand passions.”

Hence, he repeatedly refers to the need to “separate” and “balance” power — not to concentrate it.

Tracing the thread of this principle even further back, the Holy Bible describes the nature of man as being “shapen in iniquity.” (Psalm 51:5). And it describes the nature of God, and his attributes, and his role in preserving his creation. One verse that summarizes all three of those roles is Isaiah 33:22: “For the LORD is our judge [judicial], the LORD is our lawgiver [legislative], the LORD is our king [executive]; he will save us.”

Certainly, it is no coincidence that these functions are reflected in the three separate branches of our federal government. While the Lord God can fulfill these three roles perfectly, the same could not be said of any of his creation — at least since Adam and Eve were expelled from the Garden.

Because humans (men and women alike) are most certainly not angels, we must divide the various functions of government and not trust anyone in government with too much power. Whenever any one branch of government tries to usurp the power entrusted to another, it is the duty of the other branches to resist.

Under the Constitution, the judiciary has the duty to decide cases based on lawless acts by the states, though the Supreme Court’s refusal to do so last year amid a contested election raised serious concerns.

Increasingly, that is the story of our federal government — usurpation and abdication.  None of the branches seems to want to perform its own function but rather wants to exercise the power of another branch.

Where are our political or even our moral leaders? We the people are demanding answers from federal officeholders and will not be satisfied with your “politics as usual” answers any longer. We will not be satisfied because our nation faces a critical transition point in U.S. history, and your continued usurpation and abdication of your constitutional functions is unacceptable.

Whenever there is a failure of one of the branches to do its duty to defend its constitutional responsibilities (and these current failures of our government represent a clear and present danger to our republic) — the duty falls on We the People to remove those who have betrayed their trust and to restore constitutional order.

And We The People need to quit complaining about the politicians and instead vote them out, or better still, get involved intimately and directly in the constitutional republic that the eminent Benjamin Franklin warned us about keeping.

Sadly (or not, depending on your viewpoint), this is where America stands today.

Read our Constitution here and get involved!

Biden’s Pentagon Denies Veterans Biker Group a Parking Permit for Memorial Day Event – First Time in 32 Years

ABC-7 News in Washington reports the Biden administration has found yet another use for the COVID pandemic.

In South Dakota, Biden’s unity-branded administration is using the pandemic to cancel 4th of July fireworks at Mt. Rushmore. The fact that the pandemic was worse last year, Mt. Rushmore fireworks went forward, and there wasn’t a single case of COVID linked to that event is immaterial.

In the nation’s constitutional capital, which Biden wants to turn into its own state on a par with Texas despite the fact it has fewer people than Austin, Biden’s woke Pentagon has denied AMVETS a parking permit for their Memorial Day ride through the city they put their lives on the line to defend.

COVID is of course the handy excuse.

The Pentagon released the following statement on Friday, leaving the group little time to prepare for an alternative and burying bad news on the weekend:

Unfortunately, the department has disapproved AMVETS permit request. The department took into careful consideration all aspects of AMVETS request, to include the current Health Protection Condition status on the Pentagon Reservation; substantial community transmission of COVID-19 in Arlington County, Virginia; number of Americans fully vaccinated across the nation; nature of this event with its decreased ability to maintain physical distance; and large crowds in one location for an extended period of time. This event draws national attention and participation; therefore the risk of exposure from participants from other communities extends well beyond the National Capital Region.

If COVID-19 conditions permit, the department would gladly consider supporting a future event request from AMVETS, potentially as soon as this Labor Day weekend.

The department looks forward to supporting future events with AMVETS, and as always, we appreciate AMVETS’ support of our veterans, their families, and their communities, including promoting better awareness of veterans’ issues, as well as AMVETS continued support for our missing-in-action service members.

COVID is improving, more of us are vaccinated, life is returning to normal in much of the United States. That doesn’t seem to have influenced the Pentagon’s decision.

The permit denial is actually a revocation, and it comes as much of the rest of the capital is reopening.

The Pentagon continues to decline the I-Team’s request for an on-camera interview. It did admit it revoked a parking permit for AmVets after approving it in March.

The Pentagon’s denial comes on the heels of the Smithsonian announcing last week that it will reopen eight of its facilities to the public in May, starting with the National Air and Space Museum’s Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center in Chantilly on Wednesday, May 5.

Additional museums and the National Zoo will open Friday, May 14, and Friday, May 21. Also on Friday, the United States Holocaust Museum announced that it plans to reopen on Monday, May 17 with reduced visitation, required face coverings, temperature checks, social distancing, and other safety measures.

Veterans are obviously being singled out for denial of service here.

A simple solution presents itself: AMVETS should simply identify as antifa and reapply for the permit. Biden will pretend they don’t exist and no law enforcement agency in any blue city will be empowered by their Democrat politicians to stop the march. Easy peasy.

Sun Tzu wrote, “If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles.” Know him. Know how he thinks. Thwart him.

They should’ve done so as soon as Biden was declared the winner of the 2020 election.

For almost a year the organizers of Rolling To Remember have been waiting for the Pentagon to sign off on a parking permit for a Memorial Day weekend event that will bring in thousands of veterans and their motorcycles to the District.

Two weeks ago, the 7News I-Team reported the U.S. Defense Department was holding up what seems to be a simple decision to allow or deny thousands of military veterans to use its parking lot for a staging area for Rolling To Remember.

It’s the same parking lot the huge event has been using for the past 32 years.

American traditions don’t matter to Biden’s administration or its woke generals. COVID is the catch-all they’ve used to keep church congregations separate, release thousands of criminals from prison, threaten to cancel America’s birthday, and now deny veterans who want to honor our war dead something as simple as a parking permit.

As a veteran, I never thought I’d come to suspect the Pentagon’s devotion to our nation. I literally never thought I’d see the day. But in just 100 days Biden has ushered in quite a bit of change. It’s all absolutely awful, but it’s change.

Prediction: The Pentagon will back down after blowback. But if that happens, no one should forget its initial decision. Denying veterans is Joe Biden and SecDef Lloyd Austin’s gut call. They want Rolling to Remember and anything else that celebrates America forgotten. Change my mind.
