NOTE: Almost all of us have heard of Horace Mann and John Dewey as pioneers in public education in America, which began in Massachusetts in 1830. But as Paul Harvey used to say, most people don’t know the rest of the story.

When America was founded there were no public schools. Public schools were created not to educate, but to indoctrinate. From Marx to Dewey to the current leadership of the Democrat Party and the National Education Association and American Federation of Teachers, revolutionaries have always targeted youth and seen schools as the spearhead of the revolution.

When he was governor of Virginia in 2015, Terry McAuliffe (who was deservedly defeated in this election) was pushing Critical Race Theory (CRT) in the schools, something he claimed did not exist in his 2021 campaign for governor.

When McAuliffe said, “I don’t think parents should be telling schools what to teach,” he was articulating the first principle of public education going back to its beginnings in the early 19th century: “Give us your money. Give us your kids. Then close your eyes. Shut your mouth. And let us do our job of transforming society.”

Today, the cutting edge is Critical Race Theory (whites are inherently evil), the 1619 Project (America is inherently evil), and what one proponent called the Queering Up of public education.

A Kansas school apologized for handing out a “Gender Unicorn” worksheet which asked students, “Do you know your identity or are you still in the identity confusion stage?” In Broward County, Florida, an elementary school class went on a field trip to a gay bar. (“Mommy, what’s fisting?”)

The National Education Association (NEA) makes sure that America's teachers have all the "tools" to indoctrinate children in the LGBT agenda.

But these are just the latest mutations. Sex education, which started in the 1940s, quickly devolved into sexuality education – where students learned a variety of perversions in the name of disease prevention and birth control.

For at least twenty years many schoolchildren have been taught more about Malcolm X than George Washington or Thomas Jefferson.

Overt anti-Americanism in the schools may be relatively new, but it has a long pedigree.

When virtual "distance learning" took over during COVID, parents began to see what was actually being taught to their children.

The Marxist concept of universal education

The seeds of today’s horror show were planted at the outset. The basis of today’s educational radicalism comes from early Marxist ideology.

In “The Communist Manifesto” (published 1848), Karl Marx decreed, “The education of all children from the moment that they can get along without their mother’s care, shall be in state institutions at state expense.” When the workers’ revolt failed to materialize in capitalist countries, state education became the engine of revolution.

Writing in the 1920s, Italian Marxist Antonio Gramsci said, “Socialism will triumph by first capturing the culture via infiltration of schools, universities, churches, and media (and then) by transforming the consciousness of society.” Hence the long march through the institutions.

And so, socialist ideology has captured the schools. In his book, “American Marxism” (published in July), Mark R. Levin writes: “It is academia and its rule over the education of generations of students that serves as the most potent force for Marxist indoctrination and advocacy, and the most powerful impetus for its acceptance and spread.”

Mann and Dewey: The radical foundations of American public education

While Europeans Marx and Gramsci preached the importance of education to the coming revolution, Horace Mann and John Dewey laid the foundation for public education in America.

Generally acknowledged to be the father of state schools, Mann was a utopian and an admirer of the collectivist communities (early attempts of socialism) established by industrialist Robert Owen (the George Soros of his age) in the Northeast and Indiana.

In the 1830s, Mann pioneered the first public school system in America in Massachusetts, by setting up the first State Board of Education and becoming its first secretary. Mann later went to Prussia (then the cradle of statism) to learn how government schools could mold impressionable minds.

Horace Mann (left) and John Dewey were monumental in shaping - and radicalizing - the public education system.

John Dewey (the father of so-called Progressive education) carried Mann’s work into the 20th century. As Mann had looked to Prussia for inspiration, Dewey made his pilgrimage to the USSR. As Levin documents: “Dewey was an early fan of the Soviet Union and its ‘educational system’ – or, more precisely, its massive propaganda effort where obedience and conformity were contorted into a new unity.”

Dewey was a signer of the 1933 Humanist Manifesto (“a socialist cooperative economic order must be established”). He said: “You can’t make socialists out of individualists. Children who know how to think for themselves spoil the harmony of the collective society which is coming, where everyone is interdependent.” Indeed.

… And into the 21st century

In the 21st century, Marx’s and Dewey’s work of social transformation is carried on by the teachers’ unions and their auxiliary, the Democrat Party.

Critical Race Theory is the Marxist model of oppressor and oppressed applied to race. Queering Up applies it to gender.

Again, it’s not about teaching children how to think but what to think. That’s why the fight over Critical Race Theory and mask mandates has turned so vicious, with Attorney General Merrick Garland threatening to treat unruly parents as domestic terrorists.

And it’s why the 2.3-million-member National Education Association (NEA), at its annual convention in July, voted to increase its support of Critical Race Theory and work to fight against so-called “white supremacy, anti-Blackness, anti-Indigeneity, racism, patriarchy … capitalism… and other forms of power and oppression” that are said to animate opposition to CRT.  (It’s also why the NEA gives 94% of its campaign contributions to the Democrat party.)

ALT TEXT
The other major union, the American Federation of Teachers (AFT) is also heavily into the CRT agenda. This photo, from their website, shows the AFT president and secretary-treasurer at a George Floyd memorial.

These are the people who get to spend an average of 15,000 hours per student indoctrinating the captives of America’s public school system.

Final thoughts from MassResistance: In order to effectively fight what’s happening in our public schools, we need to understand the many decades of momentum behind this radicalism, and that a certain kind of people has been attracted to its power structure. None of this is accidental – and it will take a very deliberate, unrelenting, and focused effort to change it.

Ben Carson: No COVID Shots for Children, Mandates Open “Pandora’s Box”~CARSON’S “LITTLE PATRIOTS” INITIATIVE TEACHES CHILDREN ABOUT AMERICAN HISTORY & VALUES

Let the word spread! Share this video by downloading here

The long-term risks of COVID injections for children are unknown while the risks of COVID to children are miniscule to non-existent, warned former U.S. Secretary of Housing and Urban Development and world-renown medical doctor Ben Carson in this exclusive interview on Conversations That Matter with The New American magazine’s Alex Newman. Looking at the data would save America a lot of pain and suffering, he warned. While he touted Operation Warp Speed as a program that saved lives, the soft-spoken American icon warned that the long-term impact of the shots was unknown and the data in the government’s VAERS vaccine adverse-event reporting system revealed “a lot more complications” than vaccines normally have. As for government mandates, these open “Pandora’s Box,” putting Americans’ most fundamental liberties at risk.

Dr. Carson, the youngest doctor to take over a division at Johns Hopkins children’s hospital, also sounded the alarm about the indoctrination of children in public schools, warning that they are being taught to hate America and each other. To remedy that, Carson created the Little Patriots’ program and books to help young Americans understand the wonderful truth about America and unite all Americans. Another key concern is the dishonesty of the media, Dr. Carson explained, sharing a personal story of how the media manufactured a phony scandal during his term leading HUD in President Donald Trump’s cabinet. If these issues are not fixed, America may well become a communist nation without freedom. Dr. Carson also touches on the importance of teaching reading properly–using phonics–to America’s children. Upholding the Constitution and restoring unity in America will be critical.

DHS Issues New Bulletin Warning of ‘Domestic Violent Extremists’

BY ROBERT SPENCER

republished below in full unedited for informational, educational & research purposes:

A new bulletin from the Department of Homeland Security took effect Thursday, and notes that “the Homeland continues to face a diverse and challenging threat environment.” Hey, that’s great news! The terror threat is now officially “diverse” — that’s a good thing, right? Diversity is our strength! The diversity, in this case, includes both “domestic violent extremists and those inspired or motivated by foreign terrorists and other malign foreign influences,” but it’s clear that the feds are mostly concerned about those domestic violent extremists. As USA Today noted in its report on the new DHS bulletin, “In September, FBI Director Christopher Wray referred to the rising domestic terror threat, telling a Senate committee that domestic terror cases had more than doubled since early 2020.” Sure they have. But is this because there are more domestic terror cases, or because the feds are now aggressively looking for some in order to validate their claims?

The DHS bulletin warned of the possibility of terror attacks in the coming weeks, as “several religious holidays and associated mass gatherings” are now approaching “that in the past have served as potential targets for acts of violence.” At the same time, however, officials conceded that intelligence agencies have not found any “imminent and credible threat to a specific location in the United States.”

The threats they’re really worried about are those that supposedly come from alleged right-wing extremists who are enraged at Biden’s handlers’ gallop toward authoritarianism: “The ongoing global pandemic continues to exacerbate these threats, in part due to perceived government overreach in implementation of public health safety measures.”

Oh yeah, there are jihadis around as well: “Further, foreign terrorist organizations and (domestic violent extremists) continue to attempt to inspire potential followers to conduct attacks in the United States, including by exploiting recent events in Afghanistan.” This is because al Qaeda and ISIS “celebrated perceived victories over the United States and encouraged the use of violence by their followers and supporters to further their objectives. These foreign terrorist organizations will likely continue to maintain a highly visible online presence in an attempt to inspire U.S.-based individuals to engage in violent activity.”

The part about jihadis possibly plotting to strike inside the United States is certainly true, and there is an abundant attestation to that from the open and unapologetic words of the jihadis themselves. But the clear implication of the DHS bulletin—that the threat the jihadis pose to the U.S. is secondary to a terror threat from Americans who are angry at the federal government’s outrageous overreach in the months that Joe Biden has pretended to be president of the United States—is as baseless as it is ominous.

Biden’s handlers, and even Old Joe himself, have repeatedly warned about a “white supremacist” terror threat that is supposedly the greatest threat the nation faces today. The only thing this scenario lacks is actual white supremacist terrorists. And so they have to be invented. Old Joe and the establishment media defamed Kyle Rittenhouse as a white supremacist last year, doing everything they could to make him fit their ridiculous myth of violent, racist, right-wing fanatics menacing the good and decent spiritual descendants of the soldiers who stormed the beaches of Normandy, the fine young men, and women of Antifa.

Related: On 9/11, Obama DHS Sec. Jeh Johnson Warns of ‘Principal Threat’ to the Homeland (Hint: It’s Not Terrorism)

And it isn’t just Rittenhouse. Virtually everyone who dissents from the Leftist agenda is a “white supremacist” and/or a “violent extremist” these days – even me. A few months ago, the Global Internet Forum to Counter Terrorism (GIFCT), an organization created by Facebook, Microsoft, Twitter, and YouTube to police terrorism on the Internet, bizarrely designated my organization Jihad Watch a “violent extremist” group, despite the fact that pretty much all we do is type, and report on jihad activity in the U.S. and around the world. In response to a letter from my attorney demanding a retraction, the GIFCT refused to back down. Those who designated Jihad Watch as a “violent extremist” group explained that we reported on violent activity – terrorist bombings, murders, etc. – and that this in some way “dehumanized” Muslims.

How we did this was left unexplained; it would have been impossible to explain, as it is absurd on its face. The response to my attorney’s letter was essentially the increasingly common Leftist argument that speech that dissents from its party line is violence, and hence must be shut down.

So that’s that, at least for now. When I hear the DHS warning about a rise in the number of “domestic violent extremists,” now I know why: because ordinary, law-abiding Americans who utter inconvenient truths are being smeared with this label. And remember: if they can do it to me, they can do it to you. Remember also: it won’t stop with labeling.

U.S. “CHRISTENS”, Names Ship After Gay Activist As China Targets US Ships

BY ROBERT SPENCER

republished below in full unedited for informational, educational & research purposes:

It was a big day for the U.S. Navy on Saturday: a ship named for gay rights activist Harvey Milk was, according to the Associated Press, “christened” – interesting choice of words, there, AP, traditional but ironic in these circumstances — and “launched in San Diego Bay.” Meanwhile, CNN reported on Tuesday that “China’s military has constructed mockups in the shape of a U.S. Navy aircraft carrier and U.S. warships, possibly for target practice.” Priorities, priorities: China’s is clearly to win a war against a major power. The U.S. Navy, on the other hand, is concerned with other matters altogether.

The Navy ceremony for the U.S.N.S. Harvey Milk was a veritable orgy of fashionable Leftism. The “christening,” that is, the traditional smashing of a bottle of champagne on the ship’s bow, was performed by Paula M. Neira, the clinical program director for the John Hopkins Center for Transgender Health, who served in the Navy before becoming a woman. Navy Secretary Carlos Del Toro remarked, speaking about himself in the third person: “The secretary of the Navy needed to be here today, not just to amend the wrongs of the past, but to give inspiration to all of our LGBTQ community leaders who served in the Navy, in uniform today and in the civilian workforce as well too, and to tell them that we’re committed to them in the future.”

That’s wonderful, but should it really be the job of the Navy to “amend the wrongs of the past” and “give inspiration to all of our LGBTQ community leaders”? While the Navy has been working so hard to ensure that gays know they’re welcome in its ranks, satellite images showed what appeared to be full-scale models of a U.S. aircraft carrier and at least two U.S. missile destroyers at a target range in the Taklamakan Desert in China’s Xinjiang region. The models were constructed not for hobby enthusiasts, but for the testing of ballistic missiles. According to the United States Naval Institute (USNI), “This new range shows that China continues to focus on anti-carrier capabilities, with an emphasis on U.S. Navy warships.”

That is, the Chinese military is focusing on sinking U.S. Navy warships. That’s what militaries historically have devoted their time and attention to doing: figuring out ways to destroy the enemy’s military capabilities and compel him to surrender. But Carlos Del Toro, the United States Secretary of the Navy, had other things on his mind on Saturday. When Harvey Milk served in the Navy, he said, he had to “mask that very important part of his life,” that he was homosexual. “For far too long,” Del Toro declared, “sailors like Lt. Milk were forced into the shadows or, worse yet, forced out of our beloved Navy. That injustice is part of our Navy history, but so is the perseverance of all who continue to serve in the face of injustice.”

That’s swell, but do you think the Chinese military is worried about gay sailors having to “mask” that “very important” part of their lives? I’m no expert on the Chinese military, but I expect would be surprised if one of its priorities was ensuring that sailors could be open about their sexuality. This is because the Chinese military is still so old-fashioned as to be focused on winning wars, not on social engineering and virtue-signaling.

Related: How Worried Should We Be About China’s Massive Nuclear Build-Up?

The U.S. Navy, however, is consumed with such matters. Back during Obama’s first two terms, Navy Secretary Ray Mabus announced in 2016 that new Navy ships would be named after not just Milk, but Sojourner Truth, Earl Warren, Robert F. Kennedy, suffragette Lucy Stone, and Rep. John Lewis. Besides being icons of the Left, these figures have something else in common: none of them ever won a naval battle. Probably none of them had any idea how to do so or ever considered the question for a moment. But these are the heroes of the Leftists who control contemporary culture, and so these are the ships we’re going to get. Priorities, priorities.

And despite the fact that the “christening” of the U.S.N.S. Harvey Milk was entirely in with the contemporary zeitgeist, Del Toro still congratulated himself on how “courageous” it was to name the ship after a gay rights activist. No, Mr. Secretary. What would have been courageous would have been to name a ship after, say, Richard Nixon, who actually served in the Navy, or if Tricky Dick is a bridge too far, then Warren G. Harding or Calvin Coolidge, two solidly America-First presidents unjustly maligned by Leftist historians. Naming a ship after Harvey Milk had nothing to do with courage, and everything to do with demonstrating the real values that the U.S. military holds today.“Ship names are important,” Del Toro said, “because they express what we value as a Navy and as a nation and communicate those values around the globe in every port of call.” Exactly. And Neira added: “When the Harvey Milk sails, she will send a very strong message both domestically and around the globe to everybody that believes in freedom and justice and liberty, that there is a place for you in this family.”

It will certainly send a very strong message both domestically and around the globe, but probably not the one Neira has in mind. Rick Moran has more here about China’s nuclear buildup. Deep State Targets Outraged Parents as “Terrorists”

The Deep State is now taking aim at parents concerned about the indoctrination of their children in government schools, with the National Association of School Boards and the Deep State-controlled Biden administration going so far as to portray parents as "domestic terrorists," warns The New American magazine's Alex Newman in this episode of Behind The Deep State. There have been no actual threats or acts of violence so far. This is all part of a broader trend of sidelining parents and having government step in to fill their role, as totalitarians have sought to do for over a century. Secretary of Education Miguel Cardona even suggested publicly in Congress that parents were not the primary stakeholders in the education of their own children. POLICE STATE NEW JERSEY’S Rutgers UNIVERSITY professors mark 20th anniversary of 9/11 by assaulting America

BY ANDREW HARROD

SEE: https://www.jihadwatch.org/2021/09/rutgers-professors-mark-20th-anniversary-of-9-11-by-assaulting-america;

republished below in full unedited for informational, educational & research purposes:

America’s recent military withdrawal from Afghanistan “is a fantastic defeat for U.S. imperialism,” crowed Rutgers University professor of media studies Deepa Kumar during the Sept. 10 webinar “Twenty Years after 9/11: Islamophobia and the Politics of Empire.” With a penchant for impenetrable leftist jargon, she and her colleagues at New Jersey’s flagship public university engaged in an anti-American diatribe on the eve of 9/11’s 20th anniversary.

The anti-Semitic Rutgers University women’s and gender studies professor Jasbir Puar, a well-known extremist, opened the event, which highlighted a new edition of Kumar’s book Islamophobia and the Politics of Empire, with baseless, and sometimes bizarre, cant. Thus, America’s Afghanistan campaign was a “war that was deliberately designed through its preemptive targeting never to end,” she said. She condemned “near-universal feminist approval” of American military responses to Al-Qaeda’s 9/11 attacks as expressing the “Orientalism of gender studies,” which “by and largely institutionalized veiling as a trope of women’s oppression.”

Women in Afghanistan and other Muslim-majority countries might well agree with this “trope,” but Puar dismissed such concerns as part of the “rationalized psyche of American imperialism” and its “thoroughly overdetermined questions.” This entails “liberal savior rhetoric” of “white men saving brown women from brown men, and its homo-nationalist corollary, white queers saving brown queers from brown cis-gendered, straight people,” she said.

Deranged as that is, she was only warming up. “Homo-capitalist forces of a purported secular queerness” meanwhile “produce coming out as a technology of Christian theological confession” as part of a worldview that “hypercritically demands reconciliation of Islam and sexuality.” Such vacuity is what passes for intellectual sophistication in academe.

Having previously compared American armed forces to Islamic State jihadists, Kumar likewise denigrated concern for gays and women under Islamic law as “liberal Islamophobia.” America’s Afghanistan war was the “white man’s burden dressed-up and packaged to be palatable in the twenty-first century,” she said. “By no means were women liberated,” she stated, for warlords merely succeeded the American-led overthrow of the Taliban, an assessment that neglected real advantages for Afghan women freed from the Taliban’s “gender apartheid.” In a classic straw man fallacy, she asserted that Americans believe Muslims in Afghanistan or Iraq “are not prepared to enter the stage of democracy” and are, therefore “uncivilized and barbaric.” Denying the validity of her own assertion as a “long-held Orientalist myth,” she simultaneously ignored the complicated reality of American-led efforts to promote democratization in Muslim lands.

As if Muslims had never been imperialistic, Kumar found fault only with Westerners, for through the centuries “Spanish, British, French and American imperialisms have all been important vehicles for the development of anti-Muslim racism.”

“Donald Trump’s presidency was the most Islamophobic in U.S. history,” she said, while American evangelicals are “extreme rabid racists”—an irredeemably racist generalization itself. Echoing traditional Islam’s denial of freedom of conscience, Kumar cast former Muslims in a “native informant role” who present Muslim countries as “terribly backward.” Similarly, free speech regarding Islam is nothing, she said, but a “cover to spout anti-Muslim racism, as we have seen in the various cartoon controversies in Europe.”

In this setting, Rutgers University assistant professor of Africana Studies Noura Erakat provoked no dissension with such vague statements as “racism better understood is racial capitalism.” She particularly gushed over “one of the most epic prison breaks of our time” recently in Israel, where imprisoned terrorists tunneled out of confinement. “Six prisoners overcame the only nuclear empire in the Middle East and global empire’s self-proclaimed unique ally with a set of spoons,” she rejoiced.

These killers are, for Erakat, perpetual victims, for “Israel has racialized Palestinians as always already guilty. Their crime is their existence and the threat they pose … to Zionist settler sovereignty.” In the face of Palestinian crimes, she equivocated that “terrorism has no juridical meaning in international law,” something she should tell the United Nations’ Office of Counterterrorism. Rather, she suggested that Israeli self-defense is the real terrorism, even as the Israeli military puts its own soldiers in mortal danger to protect Palestinian civilians. She snidely speculated “whether state actors can commit terrorism or instead if their casualties in combat are strictly collateral damage regardless of the carnage or the recklessness or the deliberate nature of their strikes.”

Erakat concluded falsely that terrorism “is restricted to a particular group of people rather than a set of behaviors.” Therefore, she said, “Palestinians remain the terrorists. This reflects a cornerstone of anti-Muslim racism in the context of imperial violence.” Meanwhile, “Arabs in the United States continue to benefit from probationary U.S. citizenship contingent on endless U.S. war-making in the Middle East,” she asserted incongruously, given her status as a Palestinian-American living peacefully in the land she loathes.

Such “Islamophobia” was decried by other panelists as part of a wider pattern of Western exploitation and racism throughout history. Among these was the feminist writer Naomi Klein, Rutgers’ inaugural Gloria Steinem Endowed Chair in Media, Culture and Feminist Studies, who labeled as “agricultural violence” social transformations throughout history, such as the English enclosure movement, which privatized and settled communal lands. Keeanga-Yamahtta Taylor, a pro-LGBT African-American Studies professor from nearby Princeton University, described the 1992 Los Angeles riots, in which 63 people died, as the “LA rebellion.” She also fantasized that “police were deified as soldiers” in the 1990s.

Simple decency dictates that every anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks that killed almost 3,000 innocent Americans should be a time of mourning. Yet the panelists twisted the sacred memory of the terrorists’ victims to portray them, and by extension, all Americans as deserving of the attacks. For these privileged academics, “Islamophobia”—a word coined to silence critics of Islam—demonstrates how the capitalist West, as once represented by the World Trade Center’s twin towers, is a cancer upon a largely nonwhite global proletariat.

Little will change until America’s tax- and tuition-paying public demand that universities stop supporting such radical chic, anti-American drivel.

Michael Rectenwald: The Great Reset Would Create Global Socialism~The US Undergoing a ‘Soft Cultural Revolution’ Towards Socialism

Michael Rectenwald explains the World Economic Forum's proposed Great Reset, which has the expressed goal towards consumption equity to combat climate change. Rectenwald says the Great Reset would create a two-tiered structure of 'corporate monopolists' at the top and socialism on the ground.

The US Undergoing a 'Soft Cultural Revolution' Towards Socialism

Michael Rectenwald describes the cultural trend towards a digital castigation of unfavorable people and dissident views as a "soft call to a cultural revolution." He makes many parallels to the Cultural Revolution in China, and describes the exodus from the left that he experienced personally at New York University:

As America Has Become More Secular, It Has Become Less Free~Why freedom in America is threatened as never before.

Here is something any honest person must acknowledge: As America has become more secular, it has become less free.

Individuals can differ as to whether these two facts are correlated, but no honest person can deny they are facts.

It seems to me indisputable that they are correlated. To deny this, one would have to argue that it is merely coincidental that free speech, the greatest of all freedoms, is more seriously threatened than at any time in American history while a smaller-than-ever percentage of Americans believe in God or regularly attend church.

The United States became the freest country in the world, the sweet land of liberty, the recipient of the Statue of Liberty, the country whose flag freedom fighters around the world have often waved. This freedom was rooted in the deeply religious nature of its founding ideals. America was founded by God-centered individuals to be a God-centered country. The claims that America's founders were mostly deists and that America was founded to be a godless secular society are not true.

Some of the Founders were not orthodox Christians, i.e., they did not believe in the Christian Trinity or in the divinity of Christ. But none of them were deists (with the possible exception of Jefferson). Deists believed in a creator God who was not only uninvolved with his creations, but he also did not even know them, let alone care about them. After creating the world, the deists' God abandoned it. The deists' God was Aristotle's "unmoved mover."

Every major Founder (again, with the possible exception of Jefferson) believed in the God of the Bible who heard prayer, acted in history, judged people in the hereafter, demanded ethical behavior, and without Whom morality did not objectively exist. Most importantly, they all believed that in order for a functioning democratic republic not to descend into tyranny, it was necessary to link freedom with God.

Whatever Jefferson's view of God was, he was as influenced by the Bible as every other Founder. He and Benjamin Franklin proposed that the great seal of the United States depict Moses leading the Jews out of Egypt: Moses raising his rod to divide the sea; Pharaoh, in his chariot, overwhelmed by the waters; and the divine pillar of fire that led the Israelites by night. The seal's proposed motto: "Rebellion to tyrants is obedience to God." Jefferson and Franklin believed that freedom and obedience to God were synonymous. No God, no freedom.

The Founders linked freedom inextricably to God. That is why the inscription on the Liberty Bell is from the Bible: "Proclaim Liberty Throughout All the Land Unto All the Inhabitants thereof." The verse comes from Leviticus, the third book of the Bible. The Founders knew their Bible. The present adult generation of Americans is more ignorant of the Bible than any in American history. And most young people know even less. I suspect that most students at Harvard could not identify Leviticus, let alone cite any of its verses.

The bell was named "the Liberty Bell" by the abolitionists. Their opposition to slavery was based entirely on the Bible. Their motivating principle, "All men are created equal," came from the Bible. They did not get it from the ancient Greeks, who would have scoffed at such a notion.

Freedom permeates the Old Testament: The Bible begins with the story of Adam and Eve, a story about man's assertion of his God-given freedom ... freedom even to disobey God. The primary story of the Old Testament is the Exodus, a story about God liberating slaves.

For the Founders, the most obvious reason freedom was dependent on faith in God was that only if God is regarded as the source of freedom could men not rightfully take it away. If men are the source of freedom, men can rightfully retract it. This is precisely what is happening today. Freedom is being destroyed primarily by those who scorn the idea that freedom comes from God.

The rule that the end of religion means the end of freedom does not mean that secularism would not be a welcome replacement for totalitarian theocracies such as Iran. But eventually that, too — a secular Iran — would lead to tyranny. Wherever God is delinked from freedom, freedom ultimately withers. When Christianity died in Europe, it was replaced by fascism, Nazism, and communism.

Freedom is central to the Bible. This is especially apparent in America, which until now has linked its unparalleled commitment to freedom to God and the Bible. But freedom is peripheral to leftism. That is why freedom in America is threatened as never before: The foundations upon which freedom rests — God, the Bible, Judeo-Christian values — are threatened as never before.

Every American coin bears two inscriptions: "In God We Trust" and "Liberty." Every generation of Americans prior to the 1960s understood why. Most Americans today, including secular conservatives, do not.

Constitution Day

Constitution Day

republished below in full unedited for informational, educational & research purposes:

September 17, 2021 marks the 234th anniversary of the signing of the Constitution of the United States. The Constitution forged a government unique in a world of tyrants and oppressive regimes. Because of it our country has enjoyed more than two centuries of freedom, and we have the bravery and foresight of a mere handful of individuals to thank for it.

Our Founding Fathers knew the problems in their native countries had to do not with imperfect government, but with too much of it. So they sought to limit interference in the lives of the people. They humbly acknowledged that God, not government, gives rights, and that the proper role of government is to protect those rights. This is the philosophical basis of the Constitution. Its strength lies in its simplicity. Government exists to protect citizens (i.e. “provide for the common defense”) and, otherwise, to leave them alone (i.e. “promote the general Welfare”)!

Before our Constitution was ratified, the Articles of Confederation were the law of the land. They established limited government but provided no power to tax for national defense and no means to settle disputes between States. So the Founding Fathers met in Philadelphia and debated through the hot summer months of 1787. The result was a stronger central government but one with limited powers. The document they wrote governed the government, not the people. It established unambiguous boundaries of governmental power. Just to make sure the limits were clear, they added the Bill of Rights, or the first ten amendments to the Constitution. The first nine limit the government from infringing on specific individual and States’ rights, and the tenth basically says, “If we forgot anything, you can’t do that either.”

Congress soon ratified the new law, and we still benefit from it today. Many now believe we live under a democracy. But even a cursory reading of the Constitution reveals differently. The word democracy does not appear even once. The Founding Fathers knew that democracies are too volatile. They are governed by the majority, by popular opinion. That sounds great until you consider that popular opinion has erroneously held such beliefs as the earth is flat, or a man named Hitler had some great ideas, or a certain innocent Man should be brutally crucified.

What did the Founding Fathers give us instead? Benjamin Franklin answered that question: “A republic … if you can keep it.” Republics are not governed by whims of the people but by law. A republic holds in check anyone who would infringe on rights, including the government. America’s founders could have given us any form of government. (Indeed, there was a movement in the colonies advocating a monarchy under George Washington.) But these selfless men sacrificed short-term personal gain for, well … you. You are now free to make your living without the government dictating what you can and can’t do. You can keep the fruits of your labor without worrying about the threat of government confiscation.

This Constitution Day, please take 30 minutes to watch this video from The John Birch Society presenting, clearly and consisely, the principles of good government that made our country a land of freedom and opportunity, and a beacon of hope for the entire world.

And please take time to thank God, the Giver of your rights, for our Founding Fathers and their brilliant document, the Constitution of the United States. God bless America.

24 Constitutional Questions Every American Should be Able to Answer

Forced Vaccinations Are an Abomination to the American Way

BY SARAH CORRIHER-I'm The Crusader Gal, a conservative, writer, political commentator, video producer, and author.

Sarah Corriher on Gab: 'Despite being in the midst of a ...

Both government and corporations have begun exalting mandatory injections as a kind of moral good, in a perverse ritual that they refer to as “science”, but which cannot be, for science does not fear investigation or criticism. As someone who provides political commentary regularly, I now receive messages from people who are genuinely afraid. Many have been given an impossible choice: lose their jobs and thus their ability to provide for their families, or accept a medical procedure that they do not trust, and risk their ability to provide permanently.

Of course, the majority of people who have thus far accepted COVID ‘vaccinations’ (a word which was recently redefined) have survived the injections, but that isn’t true for everyone. It’s impossible to get a clear picture of how many people have died from the COVID injections at a time when thousands of deaths sometimes disappear from the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting database (VAERS). The raw number of how many people have been left with life-altering disabilities will likewise be muddied, because for all of the screeching about “following the science”, the data that should inform scientific opinion has itself been politicized. We don’t know the long-term impacts of the various injections, all of which were rushed to market with minimal testing, and many of which are still being tested by the very government that assures us of their safety.

The unparalleled politicization of this vaccination program leads us to have reason to question how many side effects and deaths are reported to VAERS at all. Even in a normal year, with a normal vaccine, it’s relatively uncommon for side effects to be reported, according to the U.S. Department of Health:

Adverse events from drugs and vaccines are common, but underreported. Although 25% of ambulatory patients experience an adverse drug event, less than 0.3% of all adverse drug events and 1-13% of serious events are reported to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Likewise, fewer than 1% of vaccine adverse events are reported. Low reporting rates preclude or slow the identification of “problem” drugs and vaccines that endanger public health.

— Report commissioned by the US Department of Health (before COVID)

Elitists in government tell us without irony that we cannot have an exact number of deaths from these vaccines, because those causalities are complex, yet it’s verboten to ask about the validity of official COVID deaths. Those deaths somehow lack complexity.

There’s Something More Than Science

The unprecedented edict of mandatory vaccination for the bulk of America’s workforce and her children is clearly unrelated to science and health. However, missing from the collective conversation is a recognition that even if the science were clear, a policy of forced medical treatment would still be wrong.

Imagine that a virus existed which was wildly more dangerous than the one we actually face. Let’s presume that 20% of the people who became infected would die, and that a vaccine was available that was reasonably safe. One could, from a public health perspective, more readily justify the decision to erode the rights of the populace in order to protect them. One could justify sacrificing their freedoms for their safety. Of course, there would not be a need in such a scenario, for mandates only serve to force the public to do that which they are unwilling.

It’s always a dangerous game when we explore the limits of what we can justify — freedom, rights, and Christian morality be damned. That’s because we can justify almost anything, given enough time. That’s especially true of large bodies of people who hold no individual accountability (governments). The more power they have, the more they exert.

The governments of the Twentieth Century mustered a combined death toll that ought to shock the conscience, as their policies led tens of millions to untimely deaths, whether by famine or genocide (with some overlap), both of which were justified as being for the good of some collective. Supervillains don’t exist in comic book form in the real world. Nobody wants to face the mirror and see a villain in the reflection. It’s part of the human condition to justify our most malevolent actions under the facade of altruism. When the mentally ill were forcibly sterilized, and that was deemed legal by the U.S. Supreme Court, the justification was always the good of society. When America and Europe engaged in eugenics in the early Twentieth Century, its most ardent supporters saw themselves not as villains but as heroes, protecting society from the inferior individual, to produce a better tomorrow.

At some point, a moral people must pause for long enough to recognize the smallest minority, who can most easily be extinguished by the unscrupulous who hide behind the veneer of a collective good: the individual. It is the individual who suffers now as he seeks to take care of his family in an environment that forces him to make an impossible choice, one that may have grave consequences. For some like him, the vaccine will have permanent, life-destroying consequences. This is true of even the safest drugs. If he were to die as a result of this imposition, his family would be forced to try to survive without him thereafter.

In the West, not too long ago, we recognized the dignity of the individual and his right to make decisions that would impact his body. We held this to be a sacred right, regardless of whether we agreed with the wisdom of the individual choice. Adults regularly engage in high-risk recreational activities that an objective observer would recommend against. None of us are free if we do not have the freedom to do what others will not, or to refuse to do what has become the norm.

Hitherto recently, an American employer would be reticent to even ask about the medical decisions of his employees, but that norm was quickly replaced with an audacious sense of obligation to mandate those medical decisions under threat of destitution. Previously, the same employer would have feared running afoul of the Americans with Disabilities Act, which attempts to maintain the dignity of encumbered peoples by ensuring that employers and businesses cannot harass them about their unique difficulties (or their medical choices).

Now, the employer is not simply paying his employee for a service well done, in a simple exchange of time for funds. The employer is much more. Through the consent and even encouragement of government, he has become the enforcer; a tyrant in his own right, exerting his will and the will of the state against the employee. We barely have need for the jack-booted thugs of the despotic regimes of old, when those contractual relationships that previously undergirded a free society have been transformed into the instruments of our own enslavement.

If military force were to be used to inject the populace, most Americans would find resistance to be acceptable and even dutiful. The elitists in government know this. Instead, the individual must battle against his own employer or supervisor, who is likely the person that previously gave him the very employment that is now dangled before him, if only he should surrender his autonomy, dignity, and freedom.

There is a time when resistance becomes duty. Almost all believe that to be true. We simply draw lines in different places. Surely, however, if there is a line to be drawn somewhere, it must be drawn at forcible medical experimentation under threat of man’s starvation, along with his family. If we are a moral people at all, surely that horror is worth resisting.

In what might seem to be a stroke of irony, the easiest way to defend the individual is for the masses to rise, and to refuse to comply. It’s for employers to refuse to enforce evil edicts en mass, and for employees to band together and refuse to accept medical experimentation. In a resounding voice, people must be willing to say “No”, before the camps are built.

DR. STEVE TURLEY REPORTS:

100 DAYS OF DARKNESS: THE COMING OPPRESSION OF THE BIDEN REICH WILL CREATE THE LEAST FREE GENERATION THAT AMERICA HAS EXPERIENCED SINCE 1776

BY GEOFFREY GRIDER

SEE: https://www.nowtheendbegins.com/first-100-days-of-darkness-coming-biden-reich-will-create-least-free-generation-america-since-1776/

republished below in full unedited for informational, educational & research purposes:

In the ‘first 100 days’ of the Biden Reich, you will see a federal mask mandate, sweeping lockdowns, and the systematic arrest and detaining of all those people who are hostile to the regime. Freedom as guaranteed to all Americans in the Constitution will be gone.

We are still 11 days away from the January 20th inauguration of Joe Biden, but the purge of Christians and conservatives is already well underway. Last night, as fascist Twitter took down the account of the president of United States, Donald Trump, they also began to purge millions of followers from the profiles of patriots and Christians. The NTEB Twitter account has lost 700 followers since last night, but higher profile people like actor Kevin Sorbo had 40,000 of his followers scrubbed in just hours. Welcome to the Biden Reich.

“When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn.” Proverbs 29:2 (KJB)

Right now in Washington DC, the Democrats are have reached a nirvana-like state of blood lust against Donald Trump, first and foremost, but they have instructed their fellow Liberals who run Apple, Google, Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram to begin silencing anyone and everyone who would dare speak against this coup. What you say in the Capitol riots on Wednesday was not the coup, that was a reaction. The coup is what is currently underway at the hands of our leaders who have taken control of our constitutional republic and are right now bringing the world thing down to the ground.

If you want to see an excellent picture of what America will look like in the Biden Reich, go watch ‘The Man In The High Castle’. Then you’ll know exactly what I’m telling you about right now.

“For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God? And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?” 1 Peter 4:17,18 (KJB)

operation-dark-winter-event-201-johns-hopkins-bill-gates-bioterror-planning-exercise-global-pandemic-joe-biden-build-back-better-covid-1984

JOE BIDEN KEEPS TELLING YOU ABOUT THE COMING ‘DARK WINTER’, IT HAS ARRIVED.

The Democrats talk about ‘beginning the healing’ in the same way that Adolf Hitler talked about ‘restoring Germany’. In their warped and sin-addled brains, the ‘healing’ can only come when free speech is taken away, that process has now been initiated and will continue right up to the first day of the Biden Reich on January 21st. His ‘first 100 days’ will see a federal mask mandate, sweeping lockdowns, and the systematic arrest and detaining of all those people who are hostile to the regime. They will seek to put Donald Trump into prison as a message to all of the 73,000,000 people who voted for him that that’s what will happen to them if they don’t get in line. If you think I am exaggerating, go look at Kayleigh McEnany’s face, she looks like she’s been waterboarded, she knows what’s coming for Trump and his people.

“Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.” Revelation 1:3 (KJB)

My father, as a 17-year old graduating high school in 1944, joined the Army Air Force to serve during the last year of WWII to be a part of that ‘greatest generation’ that rose up to defeat fascism, Nazism, and Marxism, to preserve and protect a free society for all people. Now here in 2021, I sit here typing this warning to you as my father’s son, and telling you that the fascism his generation fought to stop is alive and well, and has taken control of Washington. They told you that a ‘dark winter’ was coming, you should have believed them, and it’s here right now.

“Thou, therefore, endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.” 2 Timothy 2:3,4 (KJB)

Nancy Pelosi and her ilk are the boot currently stomping your neck, and they have the Congress, Senate and the White House. As such, they are virtually unstoppable, and the carnage that they will inflict on this nation will truly be breathtaking. This is how the Biden Reich starts, and it will only get worse when they remove trojan horse Biden and replace him with their actual choice for president, Marxist Kamala Harris.

“And they departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for his name. And daily in the temple, and in every house, they ceased not to teach and preach Jesus Christ.” Acts 5:41,42 (KJB)

For the bible believers who are reading this now, let me give you all a word of encouragement. What comes next is the reason why God has left you here in this place, and in this time, to not be a part of the coming patriot resistance that is currently forming as we speak, but to stand up and preach the gospel of the grace of God to this miserable and sin-cursed world. Rejoice in the coming affliction, that you will be counted worthy to suffer shame for His Name. All the apostles left the earth on this path, including our apostle Paul who boldly said that none of these things moved him or would deter him from finishing the course that God had given him. This is how we who are saved need to conduct ourselves, this is the time, the war has finally come, let’s get busy about our Father’s business.

“For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.” 2 Timothy 4:6-8 (KJB)

The war is real, the battle hot and the time is shortto the FIGHT!!!

Right now, NTEB is in the process of being scrubbed from all social media, our followers are falling by the hundreds per hour, soon the accounts themselves will be gone. When that happens, everyone who counts on NTEB needs to come directly to the website every day. The Lord has called me to this fight, and by His grace, I will man my post here at the forefront of this end-times fight for as long as He allows me to do so. Now more than ever, I need your prayers, your financial support, and the sharing of our articles with everyone you know. I need everyone who needs a King James Bible to email me and we will send them out as fast as we can.

The battle has begun, Flight #777 will soon depart, let’s get something done before takeoff. Are you ready for what comes next? Only one life, t’will soon be past, and only what’s done for Jesus Christ will last.

This Is The Coming Biden Reich

“There is no privacy. Rooms are bugged, phones are tapped, and surveillance cameras are everywhere”. Sound familiar?

Now The End Begins is your front line defense against the rising tide of darkness in the last Days before the Rapture of the Church

When you contribute to this fundraising effort, you are helping us to do what the Lord called us to do. The money you send in goes primarily to the overall daily operations of this site. When people ask for Bibles, we send them out at no charge. When people write in and say how much they would like gospel tracts but cannot afford them, we send them a box at no cost to them for either the tracts or the shipping, no matter where they are in the world. Even all the way to South Africa. We even restarted our weekly radio Bible study on Sunday nights again, thanks to your generous donations. All this is possible because YOU pray for us, YOU support us, and YOU give so we can continue growing.

But whatever you do, don’t do nothing. Time is short and we need your help right now. If every one of the 15,860+ people on our daily mailing list gave $4.50, we would reach our goal immediately. If every one of our 150,000+ followers on Facebook gave $1.00 each, we would reach 300% of our goal. The same goes for our 15,900 followers on Twitter. But sadly, many will not give, so we need the ones who can and who will give to be generous. As generous as possible.

Richmond’s Robert E. Lee Statue Removed, Cut in Half

Richmond’s Robert E. Lee Statue Removed, Cut in Half

BY STEVE BYAS

republished below in full unedited for informational, educational & research purposes:

Governor Ralph Northam called it the latest step in a “healing” process. On Wednesday, a 21-foot bronze statue of Confederate General Robert E. Lee was removed from its pedestal in Richmond, Virginia, as crowds sang “Na Na Hey Hey Goodbye.” The statue depicted Lee riding his beloved horse, Traveler.

Symbolizing the Maoist and Taliban-like spirit of erasing history, they even removed the time capsule that had been in the base of the statue for 131 years, replacing it with one more “politically correct.” The new capsule included pictures from a Stop Asian Hate Protest rally and Black Lives Matter sticker.

The Lee statue was erected in 1890 in his honor by the Lee Monument Commission, led by Lee’s nephew, Fitzhugh Lee, who had served as governor of Virginia.

“This was a long time coming,” Governor Northam stated, “part of the healing process so Virginia can move forward and be a welcoming state with inclusiveness and diversity.” He added that the Lee statue represented “400 years of history that we should not be proud of.” One wonders if Northam is proud of his own past, one that includes appearing in blackface in his college yearbook.

In taking the statue down, workers cut Lee in half at the torso. The bifurcated remains will be sent to a women’s prison temporarily until officials decide which organization should take permanent possession of it. Several private citizens and museums have expressed interest in the statue.

Northam’s remarks and the media reports demonstrate either abysmal ignorance of the real Robert E. Lee or a total disregard for the truth. For example, the Daily Mail began its story of the episode by calling Lee “a prominent slaveowner.”

In court, a person is sworn to tell the whole truth because telling just part of the truth can give a false impression. This is certainly the case with Lee.

First of all, the attack upon Lee is based upon a faulty understanding of the Civil War and Lee’s role in the war. The common misconception is that the national debate over the institution of slavery had become so intense that Northern states and Southern states opted to just settle the controversy on the battlefield. In other words, the Civil War was fought to abolish slavery, and the losing side — the Confederacy — was fighting to keep slavery.

Without getting into all of the nuances of the onset of the Civil War, seven Confederate states seceded in late 1860 and early 1861, leaving a majority of the states where slavery was still legal still in the Union. One would think if the war was fought to simply abolish slavery, then all 15 states that had laws supporting the legality of slavery would have also seceded — and would have been invaded, whether they seceded or not.

The secession of seven southern states did not automatically mean there would be a civil war — over slavery, the tariff, or anything else. President Abraham Lincoln made a choice to call for 75,000 volunteers to “suppress the rebellion” in those seven states. Had he been initiating the war in order to abolish slavery, he would have called for volunteers to invade all 15 slave states, but he did not. Lincoln wrote, “My paramount object in this struggle is to save the Union, and is not either to save or to destroy slavery.” Congress later passed a resolution to emphasize that the war was not being prosecuted to end slavery — neither in the slave states that had left the Union, nor in the slave states that remained in the Union.

But Lincoln’s call for an invasion of seven states did cause four more states to join the seven in leaving the Union, including Lee’s home state of Virginia. Lee resigned his commission in the Army rather than take up arms against his home state. Had Virginia not joined the Confederacy, Lee would not have joined the Confederate army.

He certainly did not join the Confederacy in order to keep his slaves. Writing that Lee was a prominent slaveowner leaves the impression that Lee supported slavery, which is not true.

Northern men signed up to save the Union, not to destroy slavery. Why did southern soldiers sign up? Only a tiny minority of the men who donned the Confederate gray owned any slaves at all. The reason they fought was because Union soldiers invaded the South. Had they not invaded the South, there would have been no war. One can argue whether it was prudent for the South to secede, or whether the North was justified in its invasion, but the bottom line is that the war was not fought to abolish slavery.

Yet, Lee is regularly condemned as fighting to preserve slavery. The truth is that Lee denounced slavery before the war even began. In a letter to his wife from Camp Brown in Texas, written in 1856, Lee described his feelings about slavery. “I believe,” Lee wrote, “in this enlightened age, there are few who will not acknowledge that slavery as an institution is a moral and political evil.”

So, was Lee a slaveowner? Here is the truth, for those who actually care to hear it. Lee inherited slaves from his father-in-law’s estate in a will that made it practically impossible for them to be immediately freed. The will provided that the slaves would be freed after all of the estate’s debts were paid off. “The immediate trouble,” Douglas Southall Freeman wrote in his multi-volume biography of Lee, “was that Mr. Custis [Lee’s father-in-law] left more than $10,000 of debt and virtually no money with which to operate the estate.”

Lee could have sold the slaves to pay the debt, but he refused to take an action that would leave the slaves in bondage. But as soon as he could do so, he freed his slaves, on December 29, 1862, pronouncing them “forever set free.”

Simply saying that Lee was a “prominent slaveowner,” without putting that statement into its proper context, is either ignorant or duplicitous.

But, as with the Cultural Revolution in China under the murderous dictator Mao Tse-tung, or with the Taliban in Afghanistan, the imposition of a view of the past that excludes certain pertinent facts is to be expected. Those who agitated for the removal of the Lee statue are not finished. The Southern Poverty Law Center has a list of about 2,000 “symbols” standing across the United States that need to be removed.

The goal is not so much the removal of statues as it is the re-writing of American history to advance the cause of Marxist revolutionaries. As such, it is necessary to distort the past so as to pave the way for a socialist future.
