ATLANTA BURNING: CHAOS, ARSON FOLLOW POLICE SHOOTING OF RAYSHARD BROOKS

Atlanta was still smoldering Sunday from riots following the police shooting of Rayshard Brooks on Friday. The 27-year-old African American had fallen asleep and his car was blocking the drive-thru lane at a Wendy’ restaurant. Brooks failed a sobriety test and according to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, “during the arrest, the male subject resisted and a struggle ensued.”

As surveillance video revealed, “during a physical struggle with officers, Brooks obtained one of the officer’s Tasers and began to flee from the scene.  Officers pursued Brooks on foot and during the chase, Brooks turned and pointed the Taser at the officer.  The officer fired his weapon, striking Brooks,” who died after surgery at a local hospital. The police bodycam video captured part of the struggle.

Rioters torched the Wendy’s restaurant, blocked Interstate 85, and painted “Defund the Police” on Atlanta police headquarters, where police chief Erika Shields resigned. Atlanta mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms, a possible running mate for Joe Biden, told reporters, “I do not believe that this was a justified use of deadly force.” The city fired officer Garrett Rolfe and placed officer Devin Brosnan on administrative duty.

“I am confident GBI Director Vic Reynolds and his team will follow the facts to ensure justice is served,” tweeted Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp. Stacey Abrams, who lost to Kemp in 2018 and is being touted as a running mate for Joe Biden, tweeted,  “The killing of Rashard Brooks in Atlanta last night demands we severely restrict the use of deadly force. . . sleeping in a drive-thru must not end in death.” Harder to find were statements by prominent Democrats criticizing violent rioters and citing accurate information on police shootings.

According to Larry Elder, citing a Washington Post database, “last year, there were nine unarmed black people killed by law enforcement,” and “nineteen unarmed white people.” Police killed in the line of duty also outnumber unarmed blacks killed by police.

As the FBI reports, “89 law enforcement officers were killed in line-of-duty incidents in 2019” and of those, “48 officers died as a result of felonious acts.” Forty-five of the slain officers were male, three were female, 40 were white and seven black. Six of the slain officers were conducting traffic stops and nine involved in tactical situations.

Five police officers were slain in “unprovoked attacks” and four were responding to crimes in progress. Three police officers were slain while assisting other officers, three were involved in vehicular pursuits and two were “ambushed,” victims of entrapment and premeditation.

“Offenders used firearms to kill 44 of the 48 victim officers,” the FBI reports, and of the 44 officers killed by firearms, 34 were slain with handguns, seven with rifles and one with a shotgun. In addition, “four officers were killed with vehicles used as weapons.”

If the killings were caught on video, few if any have circulated on social media. By all indications, none prompted demonstrations on behalf of the slain officers and against the criminals who had taken their lives. Likewise, the 18 murders in Chicago on May 31 alone, with victims including African American college student Keishanay Bolden, have not prompted widespread protests from groups such as Black Lives Matter.

On Saturday, Hawk Newsome, New York chairman of Black Lives Matter, took aim at the African American Val Demings, also on Joe Biden’s list for a running mate.  “Joe Biden would be an idiot to put her on his ticket. People are already on the fence about him,” Newsome told the New York Post. “When black people become police officers, they are no longer black. They are blue. And I have been told this by numerous officers.”

Demings rose through the ranks and in 2007 became chief of police in Jacksonville, Florida.  Demings defended the Department from charges that, “rogue cops” operated with impunity. “Looking for a negative story in a police department is like looking for a prayer at church,” Demings wrote. “I believe a reasonable person also understands that a few seconds (even on video) rarely capture the entire set of circumstances.” The VP prospect also encourages young Americans, “no matter the color of their skin or how much money they or their parents have or where they live in this country,” to “live the American dream.”

For Black Lives Matter’s Hawk Newsome, Demings is “no longer black.” In similar style, Joe Biden recently told radio host Charlamagne tha God, “if you have a problem figuring out whether you’re for me or Trump, then you ain’t black.”

That came as a surprise to Sen. Tim Scott, black for 54 years. On Sunday the South Carolina Republican said the situation with Rayshard Brooks, was “a far less clear one than the ones that we saw with George Floyd and several other ones around the country.” Outcomes with law enforcement “seem to have a racial component,” Scott said, but “most of us don’t really understand the definition of systemic racism.”

On Sunday, Fulton County District Attorney Paul Howard told reporters Rayshard Brooks “did not seem to present any kind of threat to anyone, and so the fact that it would escalate to his death just seems unreasonable.” The decision whether to bring charges could come on Wednesday.

WASHINGTON — In a landmark 6-3 Supreme Court decision today, which was written by Trump-nominated, conservative Justice Neil Gorsuch, the high court ruled that a civil rights law protects both homosexual and “transgender” people from what it considers “job discrimination” in employment. One of the cases involved surrounded a funeral home that fired a man who wanted to wear a skirt uniform at work.

The court decided that a section of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, known as Title VII, which bars job discrimination on the basis of sex, among other traits, may be read to include homosexual and “transgender” employees.

“An employer who fires an individual for being homosexual or transgender fires that person for traits or actions it would not have questioned in members of a different sex. Sex plays a necessary and undisguisable role in the decision, exactly what Title VII forbids,” Justice Neil Gorsuch wrote for the court.

He noted that the decision did not delve into what rights religious employers may or may not have, citing that R.G. & G.R. Harris Funeral Homes, which was represented by the religious liberties group Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF), “declined to seek review of [an] adverse [Religious Freedom Restoration Act] decision, and no other religious liberty claim is now before us.”

“So while other employers in other cases may raise free exercise arguments that merit careful consideration,” Gorsuch wrote, “none of the employers before us today represent in this court that compliance with Title VII will infringe their own religious liberties in any way.”

Christian News Network has inquired why the religious liberties aspect was not pursued before the high court. This article will be updated if and when a response is received.

The Supreme Court, however, did express that it is “deeply concerned with preserving the promise of the free exercise of religion enshrined in our Constitution” and pointed to a congressional exception in the law for “religious organizations.”

It is not clear if those organizations include for-profit businesses or if the protections only extend to churches and non-profit charitable and educational groups.

The three justices who dissented from the majority opinion were Samuel Alito, Clarence Thomas and Brett Kavanaugh. John Roberts and Neil Gorsuch sided with their liberal colleagues.

Alito

Alito wrote a sharp dissent lamenting that the court had seemingly usurped the role of the legislature.

“There is only one word for what the Court has done today: legislation,” he stated. “The document that the court releases is in the form of a judicial opinion interpreting a statute, but that is deceptive.”

Alito also expressed concern that the decision will have “far-reaching consequences” as more than 100 federal statues prohibit discrimination on the basis of sex. He worried what might become of the issue of the use of locker rooms and restrooms by those who identify as the opposite sex.

“[B]y intervening and proclaiming categorically that employment discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender identity is simply a form of discrimination because of sex, the Court has greatly impeded — and perhaps effectively ended — any chance of a bargained legislative resolution,” he wrote.

“Before issuing today’s radical decision, the court should have given some thought to where its decision would lead,” Alito chastised. “As the briefing in these cases has warned, the position that the court now adopts will threaten freedom of religion, freedom of speech, and personal privacy and safety. No one should think that the court’s decision represents an unalloyed victory for individual liberty.”

ADF issued similar remarks, outlining in a statement, “Redefining ‘sex’ to mean ‘gender identity’ will create chaos and enormous unfairness for women and girls in athletics, women’s shelters, and many other contexts.”

“Civil rights laws that use the word ‘sex’ were put in place to protect equal opportunities for women,” it explained. “Allowing a court or government bureaucrats to redefine a term with such a clear and important meaning undermines those very opportunities — the ones the law was designed to protect.”

BACKGROUND

As previously reported, the U.S. Supreme Court heard three appeals cases surrounding the matter of homosexual and transgender discrimination in employment practices, including the Harris Funeral Homes lawsuit, which involves an explicitly Christian-based funeral home.

“R.G. & G.R. Harris Funeral Homes recognize that its highest priority is to honor God in all that we do as a company and as individuals,” the company’s website states. It also features a quote from Matthew 6:33, in which Jesus taught that men should “seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness.”

In 2007, Anthony Stephens was hired as the funeral director and embalmer for the funeral home and presented himself as a man at that time. Six years later, Stephens informed his employer that he had been diagnosed with gender dysphoria and would therefore desire to wear a woman’s suit for work.

However, owner Thomas Rost, a Christian who serves on the board of directors for Salvation Army of Metro Detroit, has a company dress code in place, which states that males must wear dark suits and white shirts.

Because Stephens sought to wear female clothing, which is a violation of the dress code, and because Rost did not feel comfortable with providing a skirt suit due to his Christian convictions, Stephens was let go.

He consequently took the matter to the federal Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), which sued Rost with the aid of the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) in alleging gender discrimination.

“R.G. employees understand that the dress code requires funeral directors to wear company-provided suits,” attorneys for Rost outlined in a legal brief. “Rost sincerely believes that he would be violating God’s commands if he were to pay for or otherwise permit one of RG’s funeral directors to wear the uniform for members of the opposite sex while at work.”

CONFLICTING DECISIONS

In August 2016, U.S. District Judge Sean Cox sided with the funeral home and dismissed the EEOC’s legal challenge.

“The court finds that the funeral home has met its initial burden of showing that enforcement of Title VII, and the body of sex-stereotyping case law that has developed under it, would impose a substantial burden on its ability to conduct business in accordance with its sincerely-held religious beliefs,” he wrote.

However, the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals disagreed with Cox’s ruling and overturned the decision the following year.

“Discrimination against employees, either because of their failure to conform to sex stereotypes or their transgender and transitioning status, is illegal under Title VII. The unrefuted facts show that the funeral home fired Stephens because [he] refused to abide by [his] employer’s stereotypical conception of [his] sex, and therefore the EEOC is entitled to summary judgment as to its unlawful-termination claim,” wrote Judge Karen Nelson Moore on behalf of the unanimous panel.

The case was then appealed to the U.S. Supreme Court. Stephens died last month following a lengthy battle with kidney disease.

One of the other cases before the court, Zarda v. Altitude Express, centered on skydiving instructor Donald Zarda, who was fired by his employer following a complaint from the boyfriend of a female diver.

“Zarda often informed female clients of his sexual orientation — especially when they were accompanied by a husband or boyfriend — to mitigate any awkwardness that might arise from the fact that he was strapped so tightly to the woman,” legal documents surrounding the matter outline.

Altitude Express told Zarda that he was fired because he “failed to provide an enjoyable experience for the customer” as David Kengle, the boyfriend of Rosanna Orellana, complained to the company about Zarda’s remarks.

Zarda sued his employer in 2010 for discrimination, but died in a skydiving accident before the matter went to trial.

The U.S. Department of Justice filed an amicus brief last August, writing, “Congress has specifically prohibited gender identity discrimination in multiple other statutes that the Department of Justice will continue to enforce vigorously. But Congress has not taken that step in Title VII. Unless and until it does so, the proper role of the executive, and of this court, is faithfully to enforce the law as written.”

200 corporations asked the court to read homosexuality and gender identity into the law, including Amazon, American Express, AT&T, Ben & Jerry’s, Best Buy, Coca-Cola, CVS Health, eBay, Etsy, Facebook, General Motors, Google, IKEA, KIND Healthy Snacks, Levi Strauss & Co., Lyft, Macy’s, Marriott International, Microsoft, Nike, PayPal, Pinterest, Procter & Gamble, Starbucks Corporation, State Farm Mutual Auto Insurance, T-Mobile, Vimeo, The Walt Disney Company, Wells Fargo and Zillow.

2 Chronicles 5:6-7 states surrounding judges, “Take heed what ye do, for ye judge not for man but for the Lord, who is with you in the judgment. Wherefore now let the fear of the Lord be upon you, take heed and do it, for there is no iniquity with the Lord our God …”



CATHOLIC BISHOP: POPE’S CLAIM THAT QURAN OPPOSES VIOLENCE “NOT TRUE SIMPLY ON A PLAIN READING OF THE QURAN”

Schneider and Müller are likely now to run afoul of Pope Francis, who has made the risible claim that “authentic Islam and the proper reading of the Koran are opposed to every form of violence.” Although this is not and could not ever be a dogma of the Roman Catholic Church, it is assumed to be some kind of superdogma by the Catholic hierarchy worldwide, superseding all reason, all common sense, all fact, and all prudence, and is ruthlessly enforced, such that all those who stand by the truth are forcibly silenced and marginalized.

June 8, 2020 (LifeSiteNews) – Bishop Athanasius Schneider has once more raised his voice concerning the controversial February 4, 2019 Abu Dhabi Statement on Human Fraternity where Pope Francis and a Grand Imam jointly declared, among other problematic statements, that God wills a “diversity” of religions.

Bishop Schneider’s intervention (read full text [here]) comes after Cardinal Gerhard Müller wrote an extensive interpretation and explanation of that document. While Cardinal Müller presents an “interpretative key” with the help of which one might be able to read this document in a less controversial manner, Bishop Schneider points out those aspects of the document which are not in accordance with Catholic Tradition and thus need to be criticized.

Writing for the Catholic journal Communio (3/2020), Cardinal Müller stated that it is “sensational” that, “for the first time in the eventful and conflict-ridden history of the two largest faith communities of the world – comprising together of 3 billion people – the highest authority of the Catholic Church and a high-ranking religious and academic authority of the Islamic world present a common text” which expects from their faithful “a consent which binds them in their consciences.”

The German prelate explained that he wishes to present a “reading aid” for this document, which he assesses as being “not an act of the Magisterium” with regard to the revealed faith and morals, but still a document by the highest authority in the Church interpreting the natural moral law.

For the German prelate, this document “corresponds in its intention with the General Declaration of Human Rights by the United Nations (1948),” beside its dealing with faith in God and His Grace. He continued to explain that both in the Christian and in the Islamic tradition, the “faith in God” calls for “fraternity as a vocation and a demand upon man in his conscience.”…

As can be seen in this short summary of the new intervention of Cardinal Müller, he tries to interpret the Abu Dhabi document in a less controversial manner, similar to how he had approached, in 2017, the post-synodal exhortation Amoris Laetitia. At the time, he insisted that this document, which was used by shepherds in various places around the world as a justification to give Holy Communion to “remarried” Catholics currently living in adulterous unions, is not heretical. Or, as a title by the Website Crux put it in 2017: “Müller’s defense of ‘Amoris Laetitia’ reads it in Church tradition.”

With regard to Müller’s statement on the Abu Dhabi text, both Katholisch.de – the German bishops’ new website – as well as Vatican News reviewed it in a positive way.

However, there are different positions on how to approach some of these controversial documents by Pope Francis. Bishop Athanasius Schneider has chosen to directly confront the errors or ambiguities that are to be found in the Abu Dhabi statement. Only a few days ago, he already made a statement on the Abu Dhabi document opposing the view that God positively wills the diversity of religions. In that statement, Schneider discussed some problems regarding the Second Vatican Council’s teaching on religious freedom which might need a future correction, just as it has been done in the past with other conciliar statements of previous centuries.

In his new statement as sent to LifeSiteNews, the Kazakh bishop of German origin points out that the same above-mentioned sentence – namely, that the diversity of religions is willed by God, just as the diversity of color, sex, and more – is “the most erroneous and dangerous affirmation” of the text. Bishop Schneider also criticizes the document’s formulation about a common faith in God. By quoting Holy Scripture, he insists: “There is only ‘one Lord, one Faith, one Baptism’ (Eph. 4:5), ‘for all men have not faith.’ (2 Thess. 3:2)” In essence, there is only one true Faith, the Catholic Faith, and the other religions are false religions.

Further distinguishing between the Catholic Faith and the Muslim faith – and pointing to the Second Vatican Council’s ambiguous teaching in this specific matter – the German prelate writes: “To state that Muslims adore together with us the one God (‘nobiscum Deum adorant’), as Vatican II Council did in Lumen Gentium n. 16, is theologically a highly ambiguous affirmation. That we Catholics adore with the Muslims the one God is not true. We do not adore with them. In the act of adoration, we always adore the Holy Trinity, we do not simply adore ‘the one God’ but, rather, the Holy Trinity consciously—Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Islam rejects the Holy Trinity. When the Muslims adore, they do not adore on the supernatural level of faith. Even our act of adoration is radically different.”…

“According to Surah 9:29,” he writes “Muslims are to ‘fight those who do not believe in Allah or in the Last Day and who do not consider unlawful what Allah and His Messenger have made unlawful and who do not adopt the religion of truth from those who were given the Scripture—[fight] until they give the tribute [jizyah] willingly while they are humbled.’”

“One cannot agree,” Schneider continues, “with the thesis that says that a proper reading of the Koran is opposed to every form of violence. First, this is not true simply based on a plain reading of the Koran. The later Surahs of the Koran are very violent toward non-Muslims and call for the occupation of non-Muslim countries by violence. Even in our days, this is well understood by many Muslims to be the legitimate method to read the Koran.”…

Therefore, the author comes to a clear conclusion with regard to the Abu Dhabi document: “From the theological point of view it is, therefore, misleading and confusing that the Roman Pontiff signed a common document with an Islamic religious authority using the terms ‘God’, ‘Faith’, ‘pluralism and diversity of religions’, ‘fraternity,’ though these terms have substantially different meanings in the teachings of the Koran and in the Divine Revelation of Our Lord Jesus Christ.”…

 

ROMAN CATHOLIC BISHOPS FUNDING GROUPS THAT CALL FOR THE KILLING OF COPS, REBELLION & RIOTING

(Lepanto Institute) The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, through the Catholic Campaign for Human Development (CCHD), is funding organizations actively involved in calls for revolution, the killing of police officers, and the defunding of police departments.

All of this follows a long and sordid history of the CCHD providing millions of dollars to organizations that have long served as communist front groups waiting for the right time to spark a Marxist revolution.  See our article titled, “The Marxist Core of the Catholic Campaign for Human Development.”

In the wake of the ignoble death of George Floyd, violent riots have erupted in cities all across the country resulting in billions of dollars of damage and stolen goods and the murder of at least two police officers.  Hundreds of officers have been targeted as a result of violent rhetoric coming from rioters and protesters.  In New York, two officers were shot and one stabbed in the neck after being ambushed by rioters.  Four other officers were shot in St. Louis while they stood in a police line.  Two officers were shot by a rioter in Richmond, VA.  In Oakland, CA, two offers were shot (one killed) in a drive-by ambush.  Others have been hit by bricks, baseball bats, rocks, and even a car.

The targeted violence against police officers is being fueled by incendiary rhetoric provided by community organizing groups grounded in the tenets of Marxist revolutionary tactics.

The New Orleans Workers’ Center for Racial Justice (NOWCRJ) received $150,000 from the CCHD over the last three years, including last year’s grant of $50,000 (page 10).  On May 30, NOWCRJ posted a video on twitter of a protest they were participating in, chanting “Death to the racist pigs,” about police.  It should be noted that the logo for NOWCRJ is the clenched fist, which is a hallmark of Marxist revolution.

On May 29, NOWCRJ posted a tweet voicing “solidarity” with the violent protests in Minneapolis, stating, “Revolution is our only option at this point” and “To Rebel is Justified.”

NOWCRJ also called on the police to be defunded by retweeting this image on June 9:

Since 2015, The Workers’ Center of Central New York received $200,000 from the CCHD, including a $70k grant in CCHD’s last published grant cycle (page 3). As with NOWCRJ, the Worker’s Center also has the clenched fist as its logo.  On May 29, this Catholic-funded organization gave full throated support for rioting and looting on Facebook, saying:

“these riots and lootings are taking back what the masses of working black and brown communities are owed. Riots and protests are necessary tools and we fully support … An injury to one is a injury to all.”

The Workers’ Center also joined in protest and explicitly called for the defunding of police as seen in this photo posted on the group’s Facebook feed from June 6:

In this post from June 5, the Workers’ Center (with the abbreviation WCCNY on the far left) created a sign calling for the defunding of the police, and included on the sign “DSA,” which stands for the Democratic Socialists of America.  In other words, it is clear that the Workers’ Center is collaborating with a publicly Marxist organization for the defunding of the police.

The People’s Lobby Education Institute received $165,000 from the CCHD over the last three years, including last year’s grant for $50,000 (page 5).  On May 30, The People’s Lobby tweeted a call to defund prisons using inflamatory rhetoric against police officers, saying, “No Justice, No Peace, No Racist Police.”

On June 4, The People’s Lobby officially called for a defunding of the Chicago Police Department while dehumanizing police officers by depicting them as pigs.

BETH MOORE DOESN’T WANT YOU TO PREACH OR SHARE THE GOSPEL AT THE “PROTESTS”

Beth Moore has been relatively silent through most of the last week’s protests and riots, with only a few general comments here and there. She supports the protest, of course, and in fact, informs that many of the staff at Livin Proof Ministries have been marching, and she hopes to join them soon.

But as far as what those protesters will look like for Beth, what she thinks Christians should be doing once they are there, how we are to interact with others and what role our faith ought to play in our motivations for attending, we no longer have to guess.

There you have it. Nice to know that we have some clarity from Lifeway Superstar and darling of the SBC, Beth Moore.

Just be a warm body to march and fight violence and racism, but keep your Jesus and the Gospel out of it.

Of course, it should go without saying that this from advice from Kristen only applies to White Christians. If you are a Black Christian, you can go and preach the gospel, pray with people, share god’s love, witness, etc. If you’re not a person of color, then don’t even think about it.

 

 

THE CHURCH OF THE NAZARENE IS BOWING THE KNEE TO RACIALLY DIVISIVE RADICALISM

I am no longer a Nazarene.  I have primarily shifted my focus on pastoring my church and taking care of my family. So it’s been a while that I posted.  But when I saw the latest statement by an official Nazarene group, I was outraged and could not let it go.

My outrage is at the Church of the Nazarene leadership, and their continuing deviation from emphasizing the Gospel of Jesus Christ, to a capitulation to divisive social justice politics, and now divisive racial politics. Instead of seeking to unite the church behind the Gospel of Jesus Christ, leaders in the church are bringing it further into chaos and confusion by choosing a stark political viewpoint based on skin color. The following Nazarene statement was written by the ‘Black Strategic Readiness Team’ of USA/Canada Region.  I was never aware that such a group existed!  Is there a ‘White Strategic Readiness Team’? In a church that serves the Lord Jesus Christ, and that preaches holiness, is there really a need for such polarization?

In the statement by this group (which probably does not even represent a majority of Nazarenes), assumptions are made which are insulting and condescending. Proposals are made which, ironically, are actually racist, as I will point out. Their statement as a whole is racially divisive, and will serve no purpose other than to further create a schism in the denomination that has been adrift for years now. No Christian denomination should be creating racial division, and yet this is what exactly has been done here.

You be the judge for yourself after reading the statement.  And we are not simply calling out this group, because surely this is with full approval of the General Superintendents.  Here are just a few of the disturbing issues I have summarized:

  1. The group recommends hiring on a National level a Chief Diversity Officer, and of course, the person must be “of color.” And he/she will have the authority to implement hiring quotas, based on… race!  This is racism.
  2. They also want to create a list of candidates for District Superintendent- based only on the color of their skin! Apparently the content of a pastor’s character will matter far less than the color of his skin. This is clearly racism.  Absolutely outrageous.
  3. From their document: “As a denomination, the Church of the Nazarene heralds a message of holiness and transformation but tends to remain comfortable with the status quo as the calls for racial justice ring through our congregations and communities.” This is such a polarizing statement. How do these folks come to the conclusion that the church is “comfortable with the status quo”?  And what is the status quo?
  4. They recommend that on the District level, “cultural sensitivity training” for all pastors and leaders be done. And… it must be led by a person of color!  Racism again! And what an insult to the many pastors who have faithfully served the Lord without a single bit of racism in their body and mind, to now ask them to be “re-trained?”.  What is the purpose? To make sure that all white Nazarenes are singing along with the same chorus of Black Lives Matter?
  5. They “affirm the significance of black lives”. They “affirm black lives matter.” They may not like this, but all lives matter! They are focusing on racial division. It will not go well.
  6. From their document: “…unjust and systematically unheard stories of unarmed Black and Brown people at the hands of those who are tasked to “protect and serve.” As many others are doing, they are seemingly lumping all law enforcement officers as being problematic, which would be a lie. It is a disrespect of those who work so hard to defend their very lives.These are just a few of the disturbing things in this document. But to summarize again, these people do not speak for the vast majority of honest, loving and totally non-racist Christians in the church.  They have bought into an idea which they feel is the only correct one, and that is that there is systemic racism in the country and in the church.  It is a lie, and there are countless blacks and other people of color who would disagree almost completely with this document. Many will say that they will not play the victim card, and that it is time to stop the racial division now in the church.

    So why is this racial division being exercised?  I believe these Nazarenes mean well, but they have made a huge mistake.  They have bought into the Marxist ideology of a hateful and terroristic organization (Black Lives Matter).  They have been duped by a tool of Satan. Instead of bringing the church together, they have helped further sow the seeds of division by emphasizing the color of one’s skin.

    A Phony Outrage

    Has this group ever expressed their concern for the thousands of blacks who die at the hands of other blacks in Chicago and other war-torn cities?  Has this group expressed their outrage at 1,000 black innocent babies that day on a daily basis? Has this group, or the church leaders, expressed outrage at the killing of police officers as a result of these protests and riots? Have they expressed outrage at the many blacks whose livelihoods have been destroyed- by other blacks! Has this group, and the General Superintendents, ever expressed outrage at ALL racism, including black on white racism?  Have they called out Black Lives Matter, a totally racist organization led by people who promote an unbiblical and Marist agenda?  No.  Instead, they shamefully stand with them. Sadly, I don’t see any evidence that they truly care about racial justice for all. 

    What a shame, and what an insult to God’s word. I am no longer a Nazarene, but as many others like me, I cry in my heart as this holiness denomination is becoming a tool of the radical leftist agendas, just as it has been captured by the emergent church ideology already. But there are no watchmen anymore at the top of the leadership, and so it’s up to the people in the pews to do something about it.

    And as Dr. Everett Piper stated recently regarding Black Lives Matter:

    “How can you stand with an organization that mocks God, denies the Bible, belittles men, demeans women and subjugates generations of black children to the dysfunction of fatherless families?  What is wrong with you?”  (Evangelical Pastors Pander to Black Lives Matter)

     Statement Toward Racial Justice and Righteousness Black Strategic Readiness Team – Church of the Nazarene USA/Canada June 5, 2020

    We, the Black Strategic Readiness Team of the Church of the Nazarene – USA/Canada Region, long to see our denomination better connect with and support Black communities, churches, and leaders throughout the United States and Canada. Be it known to all that we stand against racial injustice. We are personally affected and also caring for many who are affected by the recent deaths of Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor, and George Floyd. We acknowledge that their deaths represent many similar unjust and systematically unheard stories of unarmed Black and Brown people at the hands of those who are tasked to “protect and serve.” Words cannot adequately express our heartbreak for families, churches, communities, and all of humanity in this season of communal grief and urgency.

    A national outrage ensued that has rapidly spread across the nation and many parts of the world. “Enough is enough!” is the wearied outcry reverberating through the streets of our cities as protesters and allies call for change, not only against another incidence of racial injustice, but against the structures and systems that have historically and continuously devalued and marginalized the lives of Black and Brown people. Indeed, the historical sin of racism is very much a present reality and challenge for the church to address. We are seeking more than a statement.

    The complex issues of racism are deeply ingrained in the fabric of our nation, and a mere statement does not alleviate the constant searing anguish Black families and communities continue to endure. As a denomination, the Church of the Nazarene heralds a message of holiness and transformation but tends to remain comfortable with the status quo as the calls for racial justice ring through our congregations and communities. We acknowledge those who recognize and empathize with our raw pain, and we recognize our denomination’s Manual statement against racial “discrimination.” However, this is a crucial moment for the Church of the Nazarene to make commitments toward real change. We sense the need to move toward prayerful, thoughtful, and expeditious action.

    Our denomination’s growth in righteousness and justice must not be separated. Let us take seriously the Word of the Lord spoken through the prophet Isaiah: Is not this the kind of fasting I have chosen: to loose the chains of injustice and untie the cords of the yoke, to set the oppressed free and break every yoke? (Isaiah 58:6) We ask leaders and congregations in the Church of the Nazarene to commit to breaking the chains of racial injustice. Join us in both lament and advocacy: We lament. We lament that racism continues to narrate the nation and negatively affect Christians’ imagination of what is possible. With the Psalmist, we cry out, “How long, O Lord?” We plead for the Holy Spirit to open calloused hearts and closed minds. We plead for the Holy Spirit to make the truth plain to those accustomed to finding their away around the Way of Jesus.

    Amidst this lament, we recognize that God has given human beings agency to participate in the Way forward and has empowered the church to bear witness to the kingdom of God here and now.

    We stand. We stand with every church and pastor who continues to trumpet the call for true justice and peace. We stand in alignment with God’s heart for justice to set the oppressed free (Luke 4:18)

    We affirm. We affirm God’s call to holiness of heart and life, which necessarily includes a commitment to racial justice. God chose the oppressed Hebrew community. God also identified with the oppressed people of Nazareth. We are called to illuminate the lives of people who have been systematically devalued in the United States. Affirming the significance of black lives is an essential way of resisting the evil fist of an unjust and prejudiced system that capitalizes on the suffering and death of Black people. We affirm that Black lives matter.

    We call. We call on the church to welcome and support courageous conversations about race and take bold action against racism in America and the Church of the Nazarene. This includes reflection upon the way racial injustice may be linked to other forms of injustice and will take commitment and intentionality from all levels of our denomination.

    We seek. We seek unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. We seek the peace of our communities. We seek shalom for all, recognizing that we can no longer settle for false notions of amity and

    reconciliation. True peacebuilding requires the uncomfortable work of unmasking and naming oppressive power structures as well as embracing the diligent work of change.

    We, hereby, recommend the following immediate action steps as we engage in longer-term planning:

    Action Steps on the National Level

    1. The General Board should facilitate an honest conversation with church leaders at every level about systemic racism in the Church of the Nazarene.
    2. The General Church (GMC) should hire a Chief Diversity Officer (CDO) of color for the USA/Canada region. He/she must be a member of the senior leadership team and be given full authority/power to enact hiring practices and recommendations and to ensure their implementation. He/she must also work with District leaders on developing objectives to ensure that districts reflect the diversity of their locality at every level.
    3. The General Superintendents should include and recommend on their short list qualified persons of color to fill District Superintendent vacancies in the USA/Canada region.

    Action Steps on the District Level

    1. District Superintendents and DAB (District Advisory Board) should conduct ongoing cultural sensitivity & diversity training for all local pastors and leaders. This training should be led by someone of color, preferably from outside the district.
    2. During pastoral assessments, District superintendents should openly engage the local church board/congregation about racial injustice in their congregation.
    3. The (DAB) should reflect the cultural diversity of the district that it serves.
    4. District Superintendents and DAB’s should develop relevant action steps aimed at increasing the presence of Black leaders and churches of color.

    Action Steps on the Local Level

    1. Pastors should intentionally address the challenges that people of color face.
    2. Pastors/church boards should promote and encourage intercultural activities.
    3. Pastors should seek opportunities to exchange pulpits with ministers of color who are in harmony with the Wesleyan doctrine of holiness.
    4. The local church and leadership should develop a plan for the church to reflect the diversity of the community at large and provide resources and support to its constituency.
    5. Churches should promote and provide a platform for open dialogues on racism with children, youth and young adults.

    Action Steps for Black Pastors and Leaders

    1. Pastors should encourage their parishioners to exercise their right to vote.
    2. Pastors should seek opportunities to exchange pulpits with Anglo pastors and ministers who are in harmony with the Wesleyan doctrine of holiness.
    3. Pastors should seek opportunities to preach about racial harmony, justice and a proper response to unjust treatment (e.g. nonviolent direct action, voting, participation in police merit boards, etc.…)
    4. Pastors/churches should open their doors to community forums that address their community’s racial disparities (i.e. health, economic, education, etc.)
    5. Pastors, church leaders, and parishioners should participate in District and General church activities throughout the year. May we move together toward racial justice and righteousness as we seek to bear witness to the kingdom of God here and now. May we move with faithfulness and urgency.

2020 WALMART PULLS GUNS, AMMO FROM SHELVES: EXCUSE? RIOTS!

U.S.A. –-(AmmoLand.com)- A stop at the local Walmart on 3 June, 2020, revealed an empty gun display. No guns were inside the locked display. There were no cartridges available, other than shotgun bird shot.

Walmart had been trending toward gradual elimination of guns from its inventory for years, ever since the death of the founder, Sam Walton, in 1992.

Sam discouraged merchandise which was not made in the USA. Sam insisted each store carry firearms, including handguns. When Sam was not there to enforce those policies, the leftists who took over the company used each new “crisis” to remove firearms and ammunition from the store.

In the 1990s, Walmart stopped selling handguns in all its stores, except in Alaska. In 2015, Walmart ended sales of modern sporting rifles.

On September 3, 2019, Walmart announced it would no longer sell handguns in Alaska,  handgun ammunition in all stores, or the nebulously defined “assault weapons”.

Two Walmart associates at the store said the firearms had been removed from the display because of national concerns over riots.

This policy was confirmed with articles in several outlets. From chainstoreage.com:

The retailer giant has removed firearms and ammunition from the sales floor of some stores as protests continue across the nation against the killing of George Floyd in Minneapolis.

Growing up in the 1950s and 1960s, every other shop in the tourist and dairy farm area where I grew up in Northern Wisconsin, carried guns and ammunition. Every bait shop, hardware store, most service stations, and many other shops carried guns. Guns were available through the mail, although handguns had to be delivered by private carrier instead of the post office.  As a teen, I had no difficulty purchasing ammunition at the local gas station.

The Gun Control Act of 1968 changed all that. Almost overnight, guns disappeared from most small outlets, because of the cost and record-keeping requirements built into the 1968 law.

The crime rate soared. Homicides peaked in the 1980s and 1990s.  Murders of police officers while on duty, peaked in the 1970s. The average number of police murdered in the line of duty, from 1970 to 1980, was 112 officers per year.  That number had dropped below 50 a year, until President Obama and his support for racial organizations such as Black Lives Matter, ramped up hatred of the police.

The law was meant as a precursor to handgun registration. It failed. It did not reduce homicides or murders, even with guns. It should be repealed as an affront to the Second Amendment.

The unintended consequences were profound. An awakened membership changed out the old guard leadership of the NRA, in 1977.  The NRA moved its primary mission from training to preserving the right to keep and bear arms. Training doesn't do much good if you do not have guns to train with.

Concealed carry permit laws, both shall issue and Constitutional carry, proliferated as gun owners lobbied for the restoration of their rights. The homicide rate dropped. People legally carrying guns were shown to be extremely law-abiding.

The lack of other shops carrying guns and ammunition created the proliferation of the independent, dedicated gun shop. The dedicated shops became nexus of information, voter registration, training, and support for the Second Amendment.

Gun shows proliferated. At the shows, gun owners could meet, trade guns, ammunition, and information. They became another nexus of activism and resolve to restore a Second Amendment under near-constant attack. Almost no criminals get guns from gun shows. Gun shows are under attack because they are a center of political activism. My good friend, Alan Korwin, built his business at gun shows selling his highly successful line of books on gun laws.

Walmart will likely stop selling nearly all guns and ammunition in the United States.  It will backfire.

Many dedicated gun shop owners have said they cannot compete with Walmart. Now they will not have to do so.

We now have more than 450 million guns and 100 million gun owners. In the first five months of 2020, we added eight million more guns, millions of new gun owners.

Guns and the right to bear arms are extremely popular in the United States. With the lawless destruction of property and lives in many leftwing cities and states, they are both becoming more popular than ever.

Question: What’s the main difference today between the average politically correct university and your typical large corporation?

Answer: The size of their bank accounts.

Too often now big business, like academia, is in thrall to cultural revolutionaries. Given this, it’s perhaps not surprising that, motivated by the George Floyd police-war-on-blacks lie, corporate America has given a whopping $454 million to leftist groups and causes — even those as radical as agitator group Black Lives Matter (BLM).

The biggest spenders are, Breitbart reports:

Sony Music — a fund “to support social justice and anti-racist initiatives around the world” — $100 million

Walmart — a new racial equity center — $100 million

Warner Music — campaigns against violence and racism and social justice causes related to music industry — $100 million.

Nike — “Organizations that put social justice, education and addressing racial inequality in America at the center of their work” — $40 million

Alphabet/Google — various organizations, starting with $1 million each to Center for Policing Equity and Equal Justice Initiative — $12 million

While to the uninitiated the above causes may sound innocuous enough, or even praiseworthy, know that “social justice,” “racial equity,” and even “racial equality” have become euphemisms for social engineering that itself is often racially discriminatory.

Then there are the piker companies that like to effect their value-signaling on the cheap. They are, Breitbart also informs:

Etsy — $500,000 to the Equal Justice Initiative, $500,000 to Borealis Philanthropy’s Black-Led Movement Fund, and match any employee donations — $1 million.

Yelp Foundation — Equal Justice Initiative and NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund — $500,000

H&M — NAACP, ACLU, and Color of Change — $500,000

Levi’s — $100,000 to the ACLU and $100,000 in grants to Live Free USA — $200,000

Lululemon — the Minnesota Freedom Fund — $100,000

It’s a good idea to peruse Breitbart’s whole list so you can make informed buying decisions. But the website tells us that the companies donating to BLM — whose members, along with other leftist insurrectionists, are currently occupying part of downtown Seattle as an invading force and have declared the area their own nation — are Cisco, Microsoft, Intel, and Glosser.

Putting aside the leftist organizations’ efforts at undermining Western civilization, funding them is a classic case of facilitating the wrong “cure” due to accepting a wrong diagnosis. For what truly ails black America today has nothing to do with “racism.”

Rather, at “the root of most of the problems black people face is the breakdown of the family structure,” wrote George Mason University professor Walter E. Williams last year. “Slightly over 70 percent of black children are raised in female-headed households.”

“According to statistics about fatherless homes, 90 percent of homeless and runaway children are from fatherless homes; 71 percent of pregnant teenagers lack a father figure; 63 percent of youth suicides are from fatherless homes; 71 percent of high school dropouts come from fatherless homes; and 70 percent of juveniles in state-operated institutions have no father,” Williams continued.

“Furthermore, fatherless boys and girls are twice as likely to drop out of high school and twice as likely to end up in jail.” Of course, none of this is new or should be news to anyone.

Some will attribute the above problems to the “legacy of slavery.” We can know this is bunk because, as Williams points out, the black family was in far better shape a century ago — closer to slavery times. In the late 1800s, in fact, “depending on the city, 70 percent to 80 percent of black households were two-parent,” Williams also informs.

Now, getting back to BLM, here’s a quite apropos kicker: On the organization’s “Guiding Principles” page under the “Black Villages” tab, it states, “We are committed to disrupting the Western-prescribed nuclear family structure requirement by supporting each other as extended families.”

In other words, BLM has essentially promised to exacerbate the main problem plaguing black America!

Good job, Deep Business; this is what you’re funding. Give yourself a big pat on the back — with a 100-lb anvil.

By the way, BLM has apparently decided that honesty is not the best policy for a civilization destroyer and has “disappeared” its Guiding Principles page. Its former URL now bears the message, “Sorry, but the page you were trying to view does not exist.”

Ah, but it still does, BLM, right here at an Internet archiving service. Busted.

So it’s not just that a good slice of corporate America is wasting money, but that it’s actually funding evil. Moreover, could you imagine the good that could be done if the $454 million were directed toward black America’s actual problems?

As to this, Reverend Jesse Lee Peterson has identified the core issue, stating the obvious, as a lack of “moral character.” Also obvious is that the remedy for immorality is morality. To be precise, if morality came in a jar, on the ingredients label would be virtues.

Virtue is a universal, needed by all people of all colors and creeds. Examples of virtues are charity, chastity, courage, diligence, kindness, faith, hope, honesty, fortitude, justice, temperance, prudence, patience, forgiveness, humility, and love.

Also know that virtues aren’t just different “values,” flavors of the day, but reflect a universal — Truth — which itself comes from God.

If all that corporate money were devoted to faith-based programs emphasizing the virtues, personal responsibility, legitimate education and skills development, marriage and family formation, and faith instead of grievance nurturing, some good could actually be done.

But the truth is that the corporations here mainly care about money, just as BLM mostly cares about power and destroying what it hates. To them, black lives matter — as, respectively, patrons and pawns.

 

SEATTLE MAYOR CELEBRATES “SUMMER OF LOVE” AS RAPE & VIOLENT CRIME SOARS IN “CHAZ” COMMUNIST UTOPIA

The Mayor of Seattle celebrated a “summer of love” even as rape and violent crime soared in the new “autonomous zone” Communist utopia set up by left-wing extremists in a 6 block area of the city.

The Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone, or CHAZ, is a police-free district of Seattle that has been overrun by Black Lives Matter protesters since Monday.

After the police building was boarded up (with the tacit support of members of the city council), the first thing protesters did was to build a border wall and check the identities of everyone entering and leaving (oh the irony).

Seattle Mayor Jenny Durkan then appeared on CNN with Chris Cuomo and declared that the occupation could lead to a “summer of love.”

“How long do you think Seattle and those few blocks looks like this?” Cuomo asked.

“I don’t know. We could have a summer of love!” Durkan responded.

Apparently, this “summer of love” will include rape, robbery and other many other violent crimes.

“Rapes, robberies and all sorts of violent acts have been occurring in the area and we’re not able to get to [them],” warned Seattle’s Police Chief.

Crime in the area has risen 300 per cent since the mob took over and police response times are three times longer than normal.

Those accused of wrongdoing are subjected to immediate mob justice, which in this case included them surrounding and interrogating an accused thief.

The Seattle Police Department decided to abandon one of their precincts in an effort to placate protesters after reportedly receiving threats that there would be attempts to burn it down. The leftists who seized the surrounding blocks of Seattle’s Capitol Hill neighborhood renamed it the "Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone.” The Seattle Police Department in the “liberated” zone was renamed the “Seattle People Department.” The radical occupiers issued their ultimatums entitled “THE DEMANDS OF THE COLLECTIVE BLACK VOICES AT FREE CAPITOL HILL TO THE GOVERNMENT OF SEATTLE, WASHINGTON.” They referred to the Seattle Police Department as a “terrorist cell.” A prominent Seattle neighborhood has surrendered to anarchy and lawlessness.

Here are a few highlights from the occupiers’ set of demands, which they say must be met before they consider ending their occupation:

·         “The Seattle Police Department and attached court system are beyond reform. We do not request reform, we demand abolition.” To eliminate any doubt, the “liberators” said they are demanding the elimination of “100% of funding.” 

·         “We demand a retrial of all People in Color currently serving a prison sentence for violent crime, by a jury of their peers in their community.”

·         “We demand the abolition of imprisonment, generally speaking, but especially the abolition of both youth prisons and privately-owned, for-profit prisons.”

·         “We demand in replacement of the current criminal justice system the creation of restorative/transformative accountability programs as a replacement for imprisonment.” 

·         “We demand autonomy be given to the people to create localized anti-crime systems.”

·         “We demand free college for the people of the state of Washington, due to the overwhelming effect that education has on economic success, and the correlated overwhelming impact of poverty on people of color, as a form of reparations for the treatment of Black people in this state and country.”

·         “We demand the hospitals and care facilities of Seattle employ black doctors and nurses specifically to help care for black patients.” In other words, racially segregated health care.

One of the occupiers intimidated a local Fox News affiliate reporter and a photographer trying to capture images of what was going on in the Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone. Between curses, he yelled “Don’t let them get an inch of space” and “You ain’t getting no shots.”

A self-described “anarchist. abolish whiteness, capitalism, and civilization” eyewitness described the Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone as “an area where state authority has been consciously rejected.” She added that “the police have been pushed out, and people are free to self-manage.”

Assistant Police Chief Deanna Nolette said that she had heard “anecdotally of citizens and businesses being asked to pay a fee to operate within this area,” which she described as “extortion.” There have also been reports of "citizen checkpoints" being set up in the area. Local rapper Raz Simone, reportedly one of the leaders of the occupiers, denied that there was any extortion. This is the same guy who, armed with an AK-47 and a pistol, has taken it upon himself to provide his own brand of unaccountable security for the “people.”

President Trump tweeted, “Radical Left Governor  @JayInslee and the Mayor of Seattle are being taunted and played at a level that our great Country has never seen before. Take back your city NOW. If you don’t do it, I will. This is not a game.”

Seattle’s mayor, Jenny Durkan, apparently thinks it is a game. Instead of regaining control of her own city from the anarchists, Durkan responded, “Make us all safe. Go back to your bunker. #BlackLivesMatter.” Evidently, Durkan is not as concerned about protecting the lives of everyone else. Washington state Governor Jay Inslee tweeted, “A man who is totally incapable of governing should stay out of Washington state’s business.” This governor has been so clueless about developments in his own state that on June 10th he responded “that’s news to me” to a question about the occupied “Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone” in Washington state’s largest city.

Socialist Alternative Seattle councilwoman Kshama Sawant has been encouraging the anarchists. She declared, for example, that the takeover was a “victory” against “the militarized police force of the political establishment and the capitalist state.”

The lunatics are taking over the asylum, with Seattle in the vanguard. And the lunacy is spreading. Areas of Portland Oregon may become the next target for anarchists to occupy and build their own autonomous zone.

Calls are mounting around the country to defund the police. Minneapolis is already beginning down that path. "We committed to dismantling policing as we know it in the city of Minneapolis and to rebuild with our community a new model of public safety that actually keeps our community safe," Council President Lisa Bender told CNN. When she was asked who should a person call if someone broke into that person's home, Bender replied, “yes, I mean I hear that loud and clear from a lot of my neighbors. And I know ⁠— and myself, too, and I know that that comes from a place of privilege.”

"Black Lives Matter means defund the police," the Washington D.C. branch of Black Lives Matter proclaimed. Not surprisingly Democrat-Socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is on board with defunding the police. Many of her House Democrat colleagues, on the other hand, tried to avoid the issue for the moment by proposing sweeping changes in policing methods and calling for the diversion of some funds allocated for the police to social programs. The Democratic presumptive nominee for president Joe Biden claimed that he is opposed to defunding the police. He is trying to avoid as long as he can offending the many mainstream Americans concerned about their safety who support some sensible police reform but not abolition of the police. However, the progressive base of the Democratic Party will continue to move Biden and the party’s congressional leadership towards the extreme position of police defunding. They already have moved the party leftward on such issues as Medicare-for-All, free college tuition, and the Green New Deal.

When Democrats in the Senate had the chance to go on record opposing calls to defund the police, Senate Democrat Minority Leader Chuck Schumer balked. Schumer decided on their behalf to block a resolution introduced on June 10th by Republican Senator Tom Cotton that called for justice for George Floyd while also opposing efforts to defund the police.

The non-binding resolution, which required unanimous consent to pass, acknowledged that “the United States has a troubled history of racism that includes slavery, the terror of lynch mobs, segregation, and Jim Crow, and that history leaves the United States with important work to accomplish.” It called Floyd's death at the hands of Derek Chauvin, the now-former Minneapolis police officer who is under arrest for murder, a "horrific act that violated the public trust and was inconsistent with the values and conduct expected of law enforcement officers." It added that "good law enforcement cannot exist without accountability and justice."

At the same time, however, the resolution urged against throwing the baby out with the bathwater. It stated that "defunding the police would leave police departments understaffed and undertrained, while also increasing the risk of violent crime to the communities of the United States." This should be a non-controversial statement for legislators to make in any sane civilized society. But it is too controversial for cowardly Schumer and his Democrat flock. They are too afraid of offending their party’s progressive base.

America’s house is divided between the majority who believe our constitutional republic is built on a strong foundation of ordered liberty worth preserving and a militant minority who believe it is built on a rotten foundation that must be completely dismantled. We can only hope that reason will prevail and America will be able to avoid another civil war.

BLACK LIVES MATTER WANTS TO GET INTO SCHOOLS~HERE’S WHAT THEY PLAN TO TEACH

Black Lives Matter is coming to a public school near you.

The national organization Black Lives Matter at School (BLMS) is seeking to foment a “new uprising for racial justice” by injecting Black Lives Matter’s “guiding principles” (including concepts such as “globalism,” “transgender affirming” and “queer affirming”) into school curriculums throughout the country.

BLMS already has the endorsement of the National Education Association, the largest teachers union in the U.S.

The union’s EDJustice website extolls BLMS, arguing that “As racism and xenophobia become more prevalent and overt in our schools and communities, it is more important than ever to listen to and elevate the voices, experiences, and history of our fellow citizens and communities under attack.” 

“The goal of Black Lives Matter at School is to spark an ongoing movement of critical reflection and honest conversation in school communities for people of all ages to engage with issues of racial justice.”

What does BLMS want to teach our children? A document written by BLM activist Laleña Garcia, a self-described “queer kindergarten teacher,” provides a glimpse.

Titled “How to talk to young children about the Black Lives Matter Guiding Principles,” the document encourages educators to “consider age-appropriate language” as they indoctrinate students with cultural Marxist ideology such as “intersectionality” and “transgenderism.”

Many of the terms included in the document are pulled from Black Lives Matter’s 13 guiding principles. They include Globalism, described as “our ability to see how we are impacted or privileged within the Black global family that exists across the world in different regions.”

It’s no surprise that an organization funded by uber-globalist George Soros is teaching kids that globalism is a big beautiful way of everybody living together as one family⁠ — not a ploy by global elites to establish a totalitarian one-world government bereft of the safeguards to freedom our Republic offers us. 

The document defines “black families” as “creates a space that is family friendly and free from patriarchal practices.” Even though fatherlessness is a major driver of poverty and crime in black communities, BLMS decries the “patriarchal” practice of a father serving as head of the household.

BLMS is upfront about its desire to destroy families as we know it, stating in the document that “Black Villages is the disruption of Western nuclear family dynamics and a return to the ‘collective village’ that takes care of each other.”

Black Lives Matter’s insistence on creating a “collective village” comes from the same ideological place as Hillary Clinton’s It Takes a Village children’s book. One of the main objectives of the one worlders, the communists, and their Enlightenment-era intellectual precursors has always been eliminating the traditional family unit and replacing it with a system in which children are reared by the state.

Here’s what the document has to say about families: “There are lots of different kinds of families; what makes a family is that it’s people who take care of each other; those people might be related, or maybe they choose to be family together and to take care of each other.”

Elsewhere, Garcia writes, “It’s important to make sure that all families feel welcome.” In other words, a family isn’t a family. A family can be anything, including government caretakers.

The definition for “transgender affirming” reads, “The commitment to continue to make space for our trans siblings by encouraging leadership and recognizing trans-antagonistic violence, while doing the work required to dismantle cisgender privilege and uplift Black trans folk.”

Meanwhile, “queer affirming” is “Working towards a queer-affirming network where heteronormative thinking no longer exists.”

Garcia’s writing is pure social-justice word salad: pseudo-scientific-sounding psychobabble meant to dress up Marxist tyranny and make it palatable to minorities. An actual read-through and meditation on what Black Lives Matter believes should be enough to convince most people that their ideology is poison for black lives and all lives.

It’s right in keeping with previous writing by Garcia, who has written that intersectionality is “the complex, cumulative way in which the effects of multiple forms of discrimination (such as racism, sexism, and classism) combine, overlap, or intersect especially in the experiences of marginalized individuals or groups.”

That the Left is attempting to force this thinly veiled propaganda on our children should be worrisome to every parent and prompt phone calls and letters to school boards and principals — or convince parents to pull their children out of public schools altogether.

If Black Lives Matter gets its way, it’ll soon be social justice instead of STEM in classrooms throughout America.


 

FACEBOOK SAYS PAGE CELEBRATING “DEAD COPS” DOESN’T VIOLATE ITS COMMUNITY STANDARDS

Facebook has refused to remove a page celebrating “dead cops,” saying that it does not violate their community standards.

The page is titled The Only Good Cops Are Dead Cops and openly incites violence against police officers.

However, when it was reported to Facebook moderators, they reviewed the page and said that although it may be “offensive,” it doesn’t violate any specific community standards.

Meanwhile, another Facebook page set up by concerned parents that was critical of ‘Drag Queen Story Hour’ was banned by the social media giant.

500 Mom Strong was removed for “transphobic language,” including one post that merely stated, “Reminder: Women don’t have to be polite to someone who is making them uncomfortable.”

However, half a dozen other 500 Mom Strong parody pages set up by LGBT activists were left untouched.

“When I asked them about the half dozen other fake 500 Mom Strong pages that were put up by drag queens [and] used to parody 500 Mom Strong, I received no answer and the pages are still active,” said founder Anna Hall Bohach.

“There is also a fake profile, created by drag queens, using my name and information that has been reported multiple times by my friends and me that Facebook refuses to remove. I asked the Facebook representative about it and I still have yet to receive an answer,” she added.

When “Black Lives Matter” was born in the ashes of the riots in Ferguson, Missouri, in 2014, they were rightly considered a fringe group by most Americans. Violence has always been part of their mantra. Particularly repulsive was their call in public marches for the murder of police officers (“Pigs in a blanket, fry ‘em like bacon!” and “What do we want? Dead cops. When do we want it? Now!”) They are loudly and unapologetically racist. All of this was quite out in the open.

But they were embraced early on by the Obama administration. BLM people visited the White House numerous times. They began to receive enormous funding from corporations, left-wing foundations, and likely government sources. In 2017, the National Football League announced they were donating $100 million to “social justice organizations.” Much of that money appears to have gone directly to BLM or its front groups.

Enormous money buys huge organizing power. Soon BLM clubs or programs were in public schools across America and promoted by the National Education Association. The group has become prominent in left-wing churches everywhere.

We foster a queer‐affirming network. When we gather, we do so with the intention of freeing ourselves from the tight grip of heteronormative thinking, or rather, the belief that all in the world are heterosexual (unless s/he or they disclose otherwise).

It says nothing about freeing black people from the social pathologies that truly keep them down: unwed motherhood, fatherless homes, dependence on government, horrible inner-city schools, gangs, drug-infested neighborhoods, black-on-black crime, and massive abortion rates.

That’s because the BLM leaders don’t truly care about the welfare of blacks. As David Horowitz has documented, Black Lives Matter is basically a Marxist-Leninist organization, founded by self-styled communists, that uses black suffering as a prop for its larger goals. The group was formed from a staged riot meant to destroy the physical and economic community, and inflame racist hysteria, and continue along that path.

Their violence, disruption, and intimidation tactics are reminiscent of the Nazi Brownshirts, the true original fascists. And they have vast legal resources to litigate government entities that get in their way and defend the criminal actions of their activists.

Black Lives Matter has many similarities to the national LGBT movement: The LGBT movement also uses false narratives (homosexuality is genetic, so-called “LGBT kids” are extremely unsafe at school, etc.) to push their larger agenda. They require allegiance from everyone. They use anger, threats, and intimidation to keep people in line (including getting people fired from their jobs). They do not tolerate any actual critical debate on their dogma. And, of course, their agenda is very obviously destructive to society at large. So it’s not surprising that BLM and LGBT activists are strongly allied.

Today’s widespread support of Black Lives Matter across America

Over the past few weeks, large numbers of people have gathered in public (ignoring COVID-19 health directives) to wave signs, shout, and declare their personal bond with Black Lives Matter. It seems maniacal, even satanic.

And that’s just the start. Public officials have declared their allegiance to BLM. Police departments have joined in the support of BLM by kneeling at the feet of the BLM protesters. Corporations large and small have broadcast their support, promised donations, and fired employees who have not shown sufficient homage to the BLM movement.

Yet, at the same time, millions of Americans are not doing this and are shocked and outraged at those who are. And it frightens them. It reminds people of the Nazi era in Europe and the Cultural Revolution in China.

What is going on?

There is a tendency to believe that the people doing this, particularly students and young adults, are simply misguided victims of too much liberal propaganda. They just need to hear the facts properly. After all, they seem like normal people otherwise.

But that is a dangerous assumption. Our experience over the last few decades dealing with the flood of rabid “LGBT allies” across America belies that.

Let’s start with a different premise. If you follow bad ideas and take action to support them, you are guilty of a crime against your fellow citizens.

The Nuremberg Trials after World War II, which prosecuted the murderous perpetrators of the Nazi death camps, established a definitive standard of human behavior. Simply put, people who do things that are obviously bad are bad people and are criminally guilty. They have no justification. They cannot claim that in participating in clearly heinous activities they were “just following orders” or were caught up in the frenzy, or were lured in by deceptive ideas. There may be some individual mitigating circumstances. But the Nuremberg principles set an important standard for all civilization. Bad deeds themselves demand a guilty sentence.

Anyone who gets involved with “Black Lives Matter” in any way is exposed to a range of things that BLM is quite open about: The BLM arguments are wildly irrational and are at odds with observable fact (e.g., all white people are racist). Their core ideas (see above) are very radical and socially destructive. They have no problem with violence. They are relentlessly angry. They never talk about the things that would actually help black people. All one has to do is read their website, which clearly lists their hideous goals.

White liberals and others willfully choose to ignore these things. They want to feel good and appear “virtuous” to those around them. If you try to discuss with them the obvious problems with Black Lives Matter, they get very angry, tune you out, and direct their hostility against you. We saw the same thing with the liberal LGBT “allies.” It’s perplexing because it’s not how normal people react. They are helping the BLM thugs tear apart America, but they’re too caught up in their own self-centered emotions to care about that.

How to deal with it?

Unfortunately, most of the conservative movement, and particularly the Republican Party, has no stomach to personally confront this, besides writing exhaustive commentaries and podcasts. When not simply milquetoast “analysis” pieces, these can be valuable in educating our side, which would otherwise be at the mercy of the mainstream media for information and perspective.

But we believe that all good people need to do more. They need to stand against this in whatever way they can. This is especially important at a time like now when it seems like much of America is losing its mind, and the attacks on normal society are escalating by the day.

In a press conference this morning, presumably to counter the peaceful pictures from the night before, Seattle Police claimed, without evidence, that protesters had fortified CHAZ and were conducting "citizen checkpoints". This is nonsense, verified by countless visitors today.

The nationwide riots over the murder of George Floyd have offered new insight into the unholy alliance between Leftists and Islamic supremacists. Zahra Billoo, Executive Director of the San Francisco Bay Area office of the Hamas-linked Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-SFBA), recently tweeted: “Non-Black POC, first and second-generation immigrant Muslims friends in particular, what are you doing today to support #BlackLivesMatter?” Imraan Siddiqi of CAIR-Arizona tweeted out a video of a hijab-wearing Muslim woman kicking a tear gas canister toward police with the approving comment, “Drop-kick that tear-gas canister, sister.”

Meanwhile, in Los Angeles, rioters were so grieved and angered by Floyd’s death that they spray-painted “Free Palestine” on the wall of a synagogue. And in New York City, a Muslim housing attorney is in legal trouble for tossing a Molotov cocktail at a NYPD cruiser during the recent riots in New York City. She is also a committed activist for the Palestinian jihad, having published agitprop spreading false claims of Palestinian victimhood.

Despite the hot water Urooj Rahman is in now, however, she has a bright future as an ideological leader of both the Left and the Islamic jihad. In an interview before her attack, she enunciated the common goal of both movements: “This s–t won’t ever stop unless we f–kin’ take it all down.”

In both the interview and during her attack, Rahman kept a Palestinian keffiyeh close to her face. Her sartorial choice was not incidental. With her attempted torching of the police cruiser (her Molotov cocktail didn’t light), she brought Palestinian jihad tactics to the riots in the U.S. She also revealed the congruence between the ideology of the Left in America today and that of jihadists, not just the Palestinians, but all over the world.

Regarding Israel, the goal of the Palestinian jihad is and always has been to “f–kin’ take it all down.” That is the meaning of the increasingly common slogan “From the River to the Sea, Palestine Will Be Free.” If “Palestine” must be “free” from the Jordan River all the way to the Mediterranean Sea, the Palestinian cause is not about ending “occupation,” or stopping “settlements,” or anything that the establishment media tells us about it. It is, rather, about destroying Israel altogether, as The Palestinian Delusion documents in detail. Until that goal is attained, as Urooj Rahman elegantly put it, “This s–t won’t ever stop.”

The same thing can be said of the jihad all around the world. As The History of Jihad shows, for 1,400 years the goal of Islamic jihad activity has essentially been “This s–t won’t ever stop unless we f–kin’ take it all down.” While there were occasional periods in which jihad violence against non-Muslim states grew less active and virulent, these pauses were not occasioned by a general rejection in the Islamic world of the idea that jihad must be pursued, or by reform of Islamic doctrine. The doctrine always remained; the wherewithal to put it into practice ebbed and flowed.

Although non-Muslim scholars and analysts routinely insist that Islam is a religion of peace and jihad is a spiritual struggle, Islamic scholars have stated otherwise throughout the history of Islam. In his book War and Peace in the Law of Islam, Majid Khadduri, an Iraqi scholar of Islamic law of international renown, says this about jihad: “The state which is regarded as the instrument for universalizing a certain religion must perforce be an ever-expanding state. The Islamic state, whose principal function was to put God’s law into practice, sought to establish Islam as the dominant reigning ideology over the entire world….The jihad was therefore employed as an instrument for both the universalization of religion and the establishment of an imperial world state.”

Or more succinctly and pungently: “This s–t won’t ever stop unless we f–kin’ take it all down.”

This is not a new idea. The twelfth-century Maliki jurist Ibn Rushd stated: “Muslim jurists agreed that the purpose of fighting with the People of the Book…is one of two things: it is either their conversion to Islam or the payment of jizyah.” Imran Ahsan Khan Nyazee, assistant professor on the Faculty of Shari’ah and Law of the International Islamic University in Islamabad, states that Ibn Rushd “leaves no doubt that the primary goal of the Muslim community, in the eyes of its jurists, is to spread the word of Allah through jihad, and the option of poll-tax [jizya] is to be exercised only after subjugation” of non-Muslims.

Or here again, “This s–t won’t ever stop unless we f–kin’ take it all down.”

Meanwhile, the Left’s anti-Americanism, and determination to “f–kin’ take it all down,” has been on abundant display in the recent riots, and continues, to the apparent delight of Muslims such as Urooj Rahman, Zahra Billoo, and Imraan Siddiqi. When she was arrested, Rahman was wearing a T-shirt emblazoned with the slogan “THE STRUGGLE CONTINUES REGARDLESS.” The Arabic word for “struggle” is, of course, jihad.

On June 2, 2020 Philadelphia Islamic scholar Nafis Abu Zayd Sparrow uploaded a video to the Maktabah Ibn Taymiyyah YouTube channel in which he shared his thoughts about the protests surrounding the death of George Floyd. He said that there is no basis in the Quran for demonstrations, for “spitting in the faces” of people in power, or for saying bad things about President Trump. Comparing the black community to the Children of Israel, whom he said would kill their own prophets, he said that one must fight in order to attain freedom and that this is what had been advocated and spoken about by Malcolm X, whom he said had been the leader that had adhered most closely to the Quran and the Sunnah. Sparrow said that if people who are fed up with the system want to make a difference, they must become a formidable and respected foe. He explained that it takes some “real fighting” to stand up, that revolution requires bloodshed, and that America’s indigenous blacks should fight for their own land, similar to how Asians have Chinatown and how the Jews in New York have their own “police state.” Sparrow elaborated that he is “all for” doing what Malcolm X had advocated, and he said that since people are not ready for any form of Jihad, they should be quiet, supplicate to Allah, and inspire others. Sparrow was formerly an imam of Masjid Tawbah in Philadelphia but was dismissed due to “attacks and slandering of known Salafis,” according to the mosque’s Twitter account.
