The Santa Barbara, CA Unified School District Board met the evening of June 9, 2020 to consider demands for mandatory ethnic studies courses at the local high school level. Those demands are coming largely from the children of the Santa Barbara Unified school district, who overall have racked up some fairly abysmal scores in basic academic achievement: their test scores for the 2018-2019 school year show a mere 54% are proficient in reading and only 45% are proficient in math. Minority students – Hispanic and African American – lag badly behind both Asian and white students as well as the proficiency standards themselves.

Instead of implementing a more rigorous academic study program with a focus on the reading, writing, and math skills so fundamental to academic as well as later professional success, however, the Santa Barbara, CA Unified School District decided to focus on the clamoring of the failing students to learn more about nonexistent “systemic racism” – which they apparently have been “learning about” on social media. Even more absurdly, the June 9, 2020 School Board meeting featured a clash between board members who wanted to declare a week in February annually as “Black Lives Matter in School Week” and the students. It seems that the children – the ones who can’t read, write, or calculate at a basic level – thought that the special Black Lives Matter Week initiative didn’t capitulate fully enough to the entire list of their demands.

That list of demands, which had been put forth during a June 7, 2020 student-led protest march to the Santa Barbara Unified School District headquarters and the Santa Barbara Police Department, includes defunding school contracts with local law enforcement and declaring “racism as a public-health emergency.” A number of school district officials, including high school principals, stood meekly in shorts and T-shirts to accept the student demands. Police Chief Lori Luhnow submissively took a knee to convey the utter capitulation of Santa Barbara officials to the student mob.

The methods on display in Santa Barbara are eerily reminiscent of communist/Marxist tactics openly laid out at the 1950s “House on Un-American Activities” (HUAC) hearings, in the 1958 book, “The Naked Communist,” by former FBI agent W. Cleon Skousen, and perhaps most alarming of all, in the rantings of Bill Ayers and the Weather Underground (see especially “Prairie Fire: The Politics of Revolutionary Anti-Imperialism”). The “45 Goals of Communism Today,” as enumerated in Chapter 13 of Clousen’s book and derived from Congressional testimony by former Communists, are both explicit and apropos. For example, there is number 17: “Get control of the schools. Use them as transmission belts for socialism and current Communist propaganda. Soften the curriculum. Get control of the teachers’ associations. Put the party line in textbooks.”

Is this not precisely what’s on display in the Santa Barbara Unified School District more than fifty years on? Too many Americans either refused to believe what the much-maligned Sen. Joseph McCarthy and HUAC colleagues revealed or were lulled into inattention after the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991, thinking perhaps that communism was as OBE as the USSR itself. But in fact, it was the Soviet empire that collapsed, not communism/Marxism.

The rampaging thugs on American streets, looting, rioting, and declaring their own “Autonomous Zone” in the middle of Seattle, Washington have their ideological origins in Soviet Comintern operations that brought Antifa to the U.S. in the 1930s. The implausible popularity of the viciously anti-American, anti-Constitutional, antisemitic, and anti-law enforcement Black Lives Matter movement ignores its documented origins in the Marxist/Leninist/Maoist Freedom Road Socialist Organization and its Liberation Road off-shoot. Youthful mobs issuing demands to Defund The Police not only can’t pass grade-level reading and math tests, but obviously have never been taught about the trail of death and destruction left in every place across history and the world where socialist-Marxist-communist policies have been allowed a foothold.

And yet, on the agenda of the Santa Barbara Unified School District at their recent meeting was a proposal to adopt “A Young People's History of the United States: Columbus to the War on Terror” by Howard Zinn for use at the middle-high school level. Zinn, a self-avowed Marxist/progressive, believed by the FBI and contemporaries to have been at least a Communist Party supporter if not member, promotes a “class warfare” interpretation of American history that rejects free market capitalism and presents the American saga as one long unremitting litany of wrongdoing.

If we want to know how the underperforming students of Santa Barbara came to reject their own heritage and our cherished Constitutional principles, and the supposed “adults” in the room to capitulate to their childish demands, we need look no further than textbooks like this one and the decades-long penetration of communist/Marxist influence into American academia. We either fix this or lose the Republic.

SUPREME COURT CHIEF JUSTICE ROBERTS DECIDES OBAMA IS STILL PRESIDENT~COURT PROTECTS ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS AT THE EXPENSE OF THE CONSTITUTION

The judicial branch has just dumped buckets of sand into what should be a straight-forward process of this administration being able to undo what was an unlawful executive action in the first place. Unfortunately, and I hate to say it, but Chief Justice John Roberts strikes yet again. By the time this gets through the courts again, it will be a new presidential term, and if Biden were to win, DACA rescission is gone and lawless people would have been able to weaponize the courts and able to thwart the President they don't like. This is not the way the rule of law and our system of liberty is supposed to work. I was on Fox News early this morning talking about the Supreme Court's DACA ruling.

Illegal isn't even the word for this absurdity.

Obama decided to unilaterally implement an amnesty for some illegal aliens, or as the media falsely calls them "young immigrants". While officially Obama was using discretion, in practice he rolled out an entire system for allowing DACA aliens to function as if they were legally here. This was completely outside the powers of the executive. And Justice Roberts was fine with that.

When President Trump tossed the amnesty aside, which only executed through Obama's orders, the Left announced that Trump had no right to undo Obama's unilateral act. Now Justice Roberts and the usual Dem justices have agreed that Obama is still POTUS.

Roberts claims that his decision is about process. This is the same scam that he pulled with what is probably the most fatal loss of the Trump era, when it came to putting citizenship on the census. It's not about process. It's about political correctness.

Justice Roberts is helping Democrats police what he considers violations of assorted progressive causes, and this is the second time he wrongly used process to protect illegal aliens. Both were utterly outrageous decisions that nullified the separation of powers and executive authority. As bad as previous courts were, Roberts has taken the SCOTUS in the direction of suppressing executive authority when it's used to carry out policies that political elites disapproved of. This is, in many ways, more troubling than previous SCOTUS abuses.

The Roberts court is essentially going along with at least some of the judicial sabotage engaged in by Obama and Clinton judges whose only purpose is to wrongly override the authority of an executive whom they oppose.

Franco may still be dead, but according to Justice Roberts, Obama is still in the Oval Office.

Supreme Court Protects Illegal Immigrants at the Expense of the Constitution

Chief Justice Roberts moves further to the Left

The Supreme Court rejected by a 5-4 vote the Trump administration’s decision to end the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program initiated by President Obama in 2012 unilaterally via an executive order. In an opinion written largely by Chief Justice John Roberts, the Court held that the Trump administration’s action reversing Obama’s executive order was “arbitrary and capricious.” The administration needed to go back to square one and come up with a better rationale for its decision, the Court ruled. Roberts and the liberal foursome, with whom he is increasingly aligning himself, were the ones who reached an “arbitrary and capricious” decision. They threw judicial restraint to the wind.

Just as Chief Justice Roberts had done in upholding the constitutionality of Obamacare on dubious legal grounds, he joined his four liberal colleagues in twisting the law to reach a desired policy outcome on behalf of the illegal immigrant “Dreamers.” Roberts is morphing into another in the line of Republican appointees to the Supreme Court who represented themselves as conservative jurists but have sided more and more frequently with the liberal bloc once they secured their lifetime seats on the Court.

In this case, Roberts used a pseudo-technical interpretation of the Administrative Procedure Act (APA) to conclude that the Trump administration’s decision to rescind Obama’s DACA executive order did not meet the APA’s standards requiring “a reasoned explanation for its action.”  To the contrary, President Trump had a compelling reason to reverse, by his own executive order, the executive order of his predecessor with which he had sharp disagreement on legal as well as policy grounds. President Trump believed that Obama had exceeded his legal authority in issuing his DACA order in the first place and did not want to expend federal resources in defending the DACA order against anticipated legal challenges. Such allocation of executive resources and balancing the risks of litigation against the executive department are entirely within his discretion as the nation’s chief executive officer.

Obama’s DACA program had granted young immigrants who were brought to the U.S. illegally as children the right to work and stay in the U.S. without fear of deportation. DACA recipients also became eligible for other benefits. The so-called “Dreamers,“ many of whom are now adults, were in the country illegally when Obama unilaterally decided to “legislate” their temporary legal status and conferral of benefits through executive action. DACA altered how the immigration laws applied to this large class of illegal aliens.

Never mind that the Trump administration was on solid ground in concluding that Obama had exceeded his constitutional authority in issuing his DACA executive order in the first place. The Chief Justice sidestepped this fundamental legal issue. He placed more importance on the DACA recipients’ reliance on Obama’s order that even Obama himself had previously doubted he had the constitutional authority to issue on his own. Roberts for all intents and purposes stepped out of his judicial role and stepped into the shoes of an advocate for illegal immigrants. Never mind, as Justice Clarence Thomas put it in his dissenting opinion, that “the Trump administration rescinded DACA the same way that the Obama administration created it: unilaterally, and through a mere memorandum.” According to Roberts’ “reasoning,” the Trump administration must do a better job explaining the rationale of its rescission of Obama’s DACA executive order than the Obama administration had done originally in justifying the DACA order itself.

“Chief Justice Roberts does it again, convoluting the law to appease the D.C. establishment,” Representative Jim Jordan (R-OH), Ranking Member of the House Judiciary Committee, said in reaction to the Supreme Court’s DACA decision. “By ruling that President Trump cannot terminate DACA in the same manner that President Obama used to start it, the Court’s decision creates two standards of executive power: one for President Obama and another for President Trump.”

One president’s executive order is not the equivalent of legislation duly passed by Congress and signed by the president that is legally binding on the next president. It is not even a regulation that has gone through an extensive public comment process and complied with other rigorous procedural requirements. The next president is free to exercise his own executive authority to either accept his predecessor’s executive order, rescind it, or replace it with another order of his own. President Trump’s executive order did nothing more than restore conditions for the “Dreamers” to the way they were before Obama issued his DACA executive fiat without Congressional authorization or even the rigorous procedural processes required for lawful regulations.

In reversing Obama’s executive order with his own executive order, President Trump first gave Congress the opportunity to take up the “Dreamers” issue in new legislation where making such significant changes in immigration law policy belongs. Congress has failed so far to pass such remedial legislation that would be acceptable to the Trump administration. The judiciary has no business injecting itself into a political dispute over immigration policy between the legislative and executive branches. But that is precisely what Chief Justice Roberts has now done in joining once again with the liberal wing of the Court that likes to legislate their policy preferences from the bench.

As Chief Justice Roberts admitted in his opinion, “DACA was rescinded because of the Attorney General’s illegality determination.” That should have been the end of the case. But Roberts and his liberal colleagues ignored the core issue of DACA’s illegality. They decided to legitimize Obama’s illegitimate executive order for politically expedient reasons.

The administration should have assessed “the conspicuous issues of whether to retain forbearance and what if anything to do about the hardship to DACA recipients,” Roberts wrote in remanding the matter to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) “so that it may consider the problem anew.”  It is not up to the Supreme Court to prescribe policy options that the executive branch must consider in order to save a legally defective executive order from a prior administration.

Justice Clarence Thomas saw right through Chief Justice Roberts’ sophistry. Justice Thomas undertook the careful analysis of federal immigration law and the limits of its delegation of authority to the executive branch that Chief Justice Roberts neglected to do. The Obama administration lacked the “authority from Congress to either reclassify removable DACA recipients as lawfully present, or to exempt the entire class of aliens covered by DACA from statutory removal procedures,” Justice Thomas wrote in his dissent. “No party disputes that the immigration statutes lack an express delegation to accomplish either result. And, an examination of the highly reticulated immigration regime makes clear that DHS has no implicit discretion to create new classes of lawful presence or to grant relief from removal out of whole cloth.  Accordingly, DACA is substantively unlawful.”

Justice Thomas also warned of dangerous consequences that may flow from the Roberts majority opinion. “Under the auspices of today’s decision, administrations can bind their successors by unlawfully adopting significant legal changes through Executive Branch agency memoranda,” Justice Thomas wrote. “Even if the agency lacked authority to effectuate the changes, the changes cannot be undone by the same agency in a successor administration unless the successor provides sufficient policy justifications to the satisfaction of this Court. In other words, the majority erroneously holds that the agency is not only permitted, but required, to continue administering unlawful programs that it inherited from a previous administration.”

Chief Justice Roberts has claimed to have great concern for ensuring public acceptance of the legitimacy of the Supreme Court. "In our branch, our job is to interpret the law and ensure compliance with the Constitution," Roberts said last September. "We will decide cases according to the Constitution and our laws, without fear or favor.” The Chief Justice flunked this standard with his DACA opinion and placed the legitimacy of the Supreme Court's rulings on hot button issues in further jeopardy.

FAUCI: AMERICANS “DON’T BELIEVE SCIENCE AND THEY DON’T BELIEVE AUTHORITY”

Disease kingpin slams Americans who don’t trust him as having “anti-science bias”

Dr. Anthony Fauci, the polarising director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, slammed everyday Americans for refusing to go along with ‘authority’ on medical matters, and accused people of ‘amazing denial’ when it comes to ‘truth’.

Speaking on a podcast called Learning Curve, produced by the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Fauci charged that “unfortunately, there is a combination of an anti-science bias that people are — for reasons that sometimes are, you know, inconceivable and not understandable — they just don’t believe science and they don’t believe authority.”

“So when they see someone up in the White House, which has an air of authority to it, who’s talking about science, that there are some people who just don’t believe that — and that’s unfortunate because, you know, science is truth,” Fauci asserted.

“It’s amazing sometimes the denial there is, it’s the same thing that gets people who are anti-vaxxers, who don’t want people to get vaccinated, even though the data clearly indicate the safety of vaccines,” Fauci proclaimed, adding “That’s really a problem.”

Perhaps the real reason Americans don’t trust Fauci is that he’s consistently flip flopped and contradicted himself on ‘the truth’ for months.

The man also exudes authoritarianism, and clearly has a problem with anyone who questions his superiority.

Fauci also has a long history of being the front man for a network of powerful Big Pharma and Big Medicine interests, pushing vaccines and medicines in a clear conflict of interest.

PLANNED PARENTHOOD ENDORSES BIDEN; SAYS IT’S “A LIFE AND DEATH ELECTION”

WASHINGTON — The sexually-centered contraception and abortion giant Planned Parenthood has endorsed Democratic candidate Joe Biden for president, telling reporters prior to the announcement that this year’s race for the White House is a “life and death election.”

“[T]he Planned Parenthood Action Fund is proud to endorse Joe Biden for president — because our rights, our freedom and our healthcare are on the line this November,” Acting Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) President Alexis McGill Johnson stated in a video released on Monday.

“Americans need a president who will empower women, families and young people,” she said.

McGill Johnson explained that one of the reasons the group supports Biden is that during the Obama administration, the Affordable Care Act resulted in free birth control to 63 million women, and the government “built toward equality.”

She said that Trump has “tried to tear down our progress,” allegedly making it harder to obtain birth control, “sabotaging” the Affordable Care Act, partially defunding Planned Parenthood, and “appointing a record number of judges opposed to reproductive rights.”

“The last four years, the most fundamental rights and our health have been under attack,” she stated, as if abortion and contraception were health issues. “We can’t afford another four years.”

In the video, Biden promised to expand access to abortion if elected, stating that he is “proud” to stand with Planned Parenthood.

“It’s a simple proposition: Health care is a right not dependent on race, gender, income or zip code,” he remarked. “As president, I’m going to do everything in my power to expand access to quality, affordable health care for women, especially women of color.”

He vowed to reverse the so-called “gag rule” prohibiting family planning facilities receiving federal funding under Title X from referring mothers for abortions.

“We will protect women’s constitutional right to choose,” Biden said. “I am proud to stand with you in this fight.”

NPR reports that McGill Johnson told the outlet prior to the announcement, “This is literally a life and death election.”

However, Jeanne Mancini, president of the ecumenical annual event March For Life, told NPR that the remark was “offensive.”

“It is offensive to hear our nation’s largest abortion provider, Planned Parenthood, an organization that claims the lives of 345,672 American babies annually (a third of all of the abortions in this country each year), call the 2020 cycle a ‘life and death’ election,” she said.

“Those who really care about protecting life realize that the election of Planned Parenthood-endorsed candidate, Joe Biden, will result in a major increase of tax dollars going to the billion-dollar organization, including direct payment for abortions, among other deadly consequences,” Mancini commented.

As previously reported, last month, during a town hall event in which he received an endorsement from former presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, Biden claimed that abortion is an “essential healthcare service” during the coronavirus pandemic and that states shouldn’t be “using public health crises to infringe on a women’s constitutional rights” to abortion.

“[W]e need to ensure that women have access to all health services during this crisis. Abortion is an essential healthcare service. It’s being used as a political wedge right now and it shouldn’t be,” he said during the livestreamed broadcast.

A page on Biden’s website, called “Women for Biden,” explains that — if elected — Biden’s objectives include codifying Roe v. Wade into law, reinstating federal Title X and Medicaid funding for Planned Parenthood, and repealing the Hyde Amendment, which prohibits federal funds from being used for abortion (with exceptions).

As previously reported, during a vice presidential debate in 2012, Biden, a Roman Catholic, outlined that while he personally believes that life begins at conception, he doesn’t want to “impose” his view on others.

“Life begins at conception in the Church’s judgment. I accept it in my personal life,” he said. “I refuse to impose it on equally devout Christians and Muslims and Jews, and I just refuse to impose that on others …”

“I do not believe that we have a right to tell other people that — women — they can’t control their body. It’s a decision between them and their doctor. In my view and the Supreme Court, I’m not going to interfere with that,” Biden stated.

Trump, while identifying as pro-life, has stated publicly that he supports the exceptions of rape, incest and the life of the mother.

“As most people know, and for those who would like to know, I am strongly pro-life, with the three exceptions — rape, incest and protecting the life of the mother — the same position taken by Ronald Reagan,” he tweeted in May 2019.

In 2016, while still a presidential candidate, Trump wrote in an op-ed published by the Washington Examiner, “Let me be clear — I am pro-life. I support that position with exceptions allowed for rape, incest or the life of the mother being at risk.”

He also told NBC’s “Today” show that same year that he would like to see the exceptions in the Republican platform.

“The Republican platform, every four years, has a provision that states that the right of the unborn child shall not be infringed. And it makes no exceptions for rape, for incest, for the life of the mother. Would you want to change the Republican platform to include the exceptions that you have?” asked co-host Savannah Guthrie.

“Yes, I would,” Trump replied. “Yes, I would. Absolutely. For the three exceptions, I would.”

Trump’s statements allowing for exceptions are similar to those made by other recent Republican presidents, including George H.W. Bush and George W. Bush.

“My own position on abortion is well-known and remains unchanged. I oppose abortion in all cases except rape or incest, or where the life of the mother is at stake,” George H.W. Bush said in 1992.

”My position has always been three exceptions: rape, incest and the life of the mother,” George W. Bush likewise outlined in 2006.

Proverbs 6:16-17 says that the Lord hates “hands that shed innocent blood.”

“When killing anyone, the murderer is guilty of taking the life which God has given, and therefore he is ‘playing God’ by saying when and how a man should die. But God doesn’t look lightly upon those who try to take His place,” explained preacher Lee Roy Shelton in “The Crimes of Our Times”.

“God has given us the Sixth Commandment as a fence about human life to preserve it, for it is sacred to Him,” he said. “Yes, the Bible declares human life to be sacred. It is a divine creation, mysterious and magnificent in its beginning and possibility, utterly beyond the control or comprehension of any human being. It is never to be taken away at the will of anyone, for how can they tell the full meaning of that life and what it will bring forth?”

“The revelation of God made to man out of His blessed Word proves that He has purposes for every individual and for the [human] race, stretching far beyond the present moment or manifestation; and to terminate a single life is to set yourselves up as wiser and superior to God. The immensity of the issues of death is so great that there can be no sin against humanity, and accordingly, against God, greater than that of taking a human life.”

CHICK-FIL-A’S DAN CATHY CALLS FOR “CAUCASIAN CONTRITION”~SAYS “WHITE PEOPLE ARE JUST OUT OF SIGHT, OUT OF MIND” ON RACISM

BY HEATHER CLARK

republished below in full unedited for informational, educational & research purposes:

ATLANTA — During a recorded discussion this week, Dan Cathy, president of the Atlanta-based chicken chain Chick-fil-A, joined Louie Giglio of Passion City Church and award-winning CCM rapper Lecrae to discuss what they perceive to be racism, but more specifically what is often now being referred to as “systemic racism” in society, brought to the forefront by recent incidents, including Friday’s fatal shooting of a drunk man who fought Atlanta police officers in resisting arrest and pointing a taser at an officer before being shot. The matter has resulted in riots in the city where Chick-fil-A is headquartered.

The men did not specify what actions they believed to be racially-motivated, but Cathy generally opined that Caucasians should have a “period of contrition” in understanding how African Americans sense racism in the city of Atlanta and should empathize with the pain that the rioters are feeling over ongoing racial injustice.

“We are in a very special moment right now. The answer is not just for this to go off the radar screen, to go back to COVID-19, to talk about world peace, [the] environment — whatever else,” Cathy said. “If believe if we miss this moment, we have failed our generation.”

“Every generation has to take responsibility, and the generation of Martin Luther King, of Ivan Allen, Jr., who was the mayor at that time, of Robert Woodruff from the business community with Tom Cousins — every generation, someone had to pick up the baton of responsibility for the situation that we’re in right now,” he continued. “We don’t need to let this moment miss us. It has to hurt us.”

Last Friday night, 27-year-old Rayshard Brooks was discovered sleeping in his vehicle in the drive-through lane of a Wendy’s restaurant. Police were called to the scene, and Brooks was asked to move to a regular parking space. He was given a sobriety test as it was perceived that he was inebriated, and as he failed, officers sought to take him into custody for drunk driving.

“I think you’ve had too much to drink for you to be driving,” one officer states. “Put your hands behind your back for me.”

But when the officer went to handcuff Brooks, he resisted and a tussle ensued on the ground.

“Stop fighting,” the officers ordered Brooks. “You’re going to get tased!”

Brooks soon pulled the taser out of the hand of one officer and broke free, running across the parking lot. One of the officers seeks to stop him. Seconds after pointing the taser in the direction of the officers who were chasing after him — and apparently discharging it, he was shot twice in the back.

Brooks died of his injuries at a nearby hospital following surgery.

On Monday, Giglio called the Atlanta shooting a “new iteration of the injustice that is right before our eyes.”

“Everywhere you look in the world right now [people are talking about the issue of racial injustice],” he said. “It’s not a little side issue today. It’s what the entire world is talking about right now.”

Rapper Lecrae noted that some may wonder what the incidents in Minneapolis and Atlanta have to do with race and that some are seemingly “just arbitrarily bringing race into the picture.”

“History always informs the perspectives that we’re looking at,” he said, stating that African Americans have a “cultural collective sense” when a situation involves a person of color.

Lecrae said that when a crime happens involving a white person, it is not usually highlighted by Caucasians, but African Americans pay more attention to what is going on within their race.

“When one of our people from our people group is killed, we don’t just see this individual’s life being taken down. We see a historical narrative of this happening again and again and again and again,” he outlined.

“What we are seeing is, one, an issue of injustice of people’s lives being cut down, but then, two, part of a narrative that keeps being exposed to us on a consistent basis,” Lecrae reiterated.

He stated during the discussion that he believes the Church has turned a blind eye to racism, treating it like a “ghost in the room” and “old factory fatigue” from being accustomed to breathing bad gas.

“The injustices, or the way that a lot of things are being flushed out for my white brothers and sisters [is that] these are isolated events or political agendas,” Lecrae said. “[But] for my black brothers and sisters, these are evidences of a crock pot that has been boiling for years, a gas in the air that people are tired of breathing.”

Cathy advised that he has asked others in recent weeks if they have personally experienced injustice and how it feels. He stated that one staff member in the Chick-fil-A corporate office “pointed to subtleties” that she noticed at work.

“As a safe place as that is, we still have, whether it’s conscious or unconscious biases, that she felt she was not treated with honor, dignity and respect,” he lamented.

Cathy then asked Lecrae to share personal experiences where he felt he was treated unfairly because of his skin color.

Lecrae said that a police officer shot at him when he was 13, and he was put on a gang list at 14 because he was caught skipping school.

He stated that he was pulled over once and his seats were torn out because police thought there were drugs in the vehicle and that he was recently pulled over three times in Texas and chastised for “something small.”

He explained that such experiences “inform our relationship with law enforcement and help shape the way we’re perceiving everything that’s going on right now.”

“I can only imagine the emotional indignity,” Cathy remarked in response. “These are the questions that have not been asked [and] I believe that it’s led to a sense of apathy, indifference, [and the attitude that] it’s somebody’s else’s deal, this is about police shooting people. It’s much more than that. It’s about the grind of that kind of indignity and other expressions of it.”

Giglio opined that whites have difficulty understanding the feelings of African Americans because “none of us have lived a day of being black in America,” and many dismiss the issue of racism because they are not racist themselves.

Lecrae said that the Church should address the issues and consider “where we need to repent and where we need to listen.”

Cathy similarly stated that Caucasians should get involved as inaction is the reason why Atlanta is still struggling with racism.

“Until we, as Caucasians, until we’re willing to just pick up the baton and fight for our black, African American brothers and sisters, which they are as one human race, we’re shameful. We’re just adding to it,” he said. “Our silence is so huge at this time. We cannot be silent. Somebody has to fight. And God has so blessed our city, but it’s shameful how we let things get so out of whack.”

He advised that many African Americans in Atlanta struggle with poverty, are high school dropouts, are involved in homicides or suffer with HIV/AIDS.

Cathy said that Christians need to empathize with African Americans, comparing the matter to the story of Nehemiah, who was stirred by the plundering of Jerusalem but pondered and prayed about the matter before rising to build. He said that there should even be empathy for rioters who loot and commit acts of arson.

“I would say that we need a period of contrition and a broken heart in the city of Atlanta, and a sense of real identity, not just criticizing people who [were] burning down that restaurant last night,” he opined. “We’ve got a heart for the Rayshard Brooks and the others that you’ve mentioned.”

“We’ve got to have a sense of empathy to what led to this,” Cathy continued. “This is a tip of the iceberg of incredible amounts of frustration and pain that the whole spectrum of [the] African American community in some way or another can quickly illustrate … that most of us white people are just out of sight, out of mind. We’re oblivious to it.”

He repeated later, “My plea would be, for the white people, rather than point fingers at that kind of criminal effort, would be to see the level of frustration and exasperation and almost a sense of hopelessness that exists among some of these activists among the African American community. … There’s got to be some emotional response of understanding how exasperated and how hopeless people are feeling at this point.”

The three agreed that there needs to be a brokenness over what they see as an ongoing problem with racism in the country.

“Any expression of a contrite heart, a sense of humility, a sense of shame, a sense of embarrassment, begin with an apologetic heart,” Cathy said. “I think that’s what our world needs to hear today.”

Near the end of the discussion, he shined Lecrae’s shoes with a brush after telling a story about repentance.

“Our city needs to change,” Giglio stated. “Racism needs to die. And then the streets need to come alive with the songs of Jesus.”

Atlanta Police Officers Garrett Rolfe and Devin Brosnan were taken into custody this week. Rolfe was charged with murder and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Public opinion over the matter has been mixed as some believe the incident cannot be compared to the George Floyd situation since Brooks fought with the officers and stole a taser.

“[N]ot every white officer who shoots an African American man is motivated by racism, and not every police shooting is a crime,” opined former Los Angeles and Detroit prosecutor Michael Stern in a column published by USA Today on Thursday.

“[P]eople should watch the video,” he said. “Then they should make their own assessments as to whether the officer was motivated by racism, or whether he was just a cop who was terrified and who tried to protect himself after being shot at with a taser that was stolen in an attack seconds earlier.”

NORTH CAROLINA IMAM: THE IMAGE OF A WHITE JESUS FEEDS WHITE SUPREMACY & INJUSTICE ALL OVER THE WORLD

“At a Friday, June 5, 2020 sermon at the Islamic Association of Raleigh, NC, Imam Oliver S. Muhammad said that the root of injustice and of white supremacy is the image of a white Jesus, which he said is a subliminal message that causes white supremacists to believe that they are better than everybody else.”

Yet supremacism is the root of Islamic doctrine, and does not appear in Christian doctrine. While the imam Muhammad slams a distorted view of Christianity, the Qur’an slams all infidels (including Christians) as inferiors, and Christian persecution by Muslims is at genocidal proportions.

“Raleigh N.C. Imam Oliver S. Muhammad: The Image Of A White Jesus Is A Subliminal Message That Feeds White Supremacy, Injustice All Over The World”, MEMRI, June 5, 2020:

At a Friday, June 5, 2020 sermon at the Islamic Association of Raleigh, NC, Imam Oliver S. Muhammad said that the root of injustice and of white supremacy is the image of a white Jesus, which he said is a subliminal message that causes white supremacists to believe that they are better than everybody else. He said that the effect of this image can be seen in the context of economic oppression, slavery, and colonization. He then stated that as long as this image of Jesus continues to exist, white supremacists will have something that feeds their sense of superiority. The Islamic Association of Raleigh is a regular participant in local interfaith events.

Oliver S. Muhammad: “We have to understand the root of the injustices that we see in this world.”

[…]

“White supremacy has its roots in – what? – in the misrepresentation of Allah, in this picture they have all around the world, on every continent that they say is ‘issa as issa salam.’ It’s not him, but it’s the image of a white person. And the white supremacist thinkers, they say ‘well, that’s my image, so it makes me better than everybody because that’s the most Supreme Being.'”

[…]

“Whether it is economic oppression or slavery, whether it is politics, whether it is colonization, wherever this image is projected, you can see that those societies, or the people that come under that influence, are subject. They have been influenced by this imagery of white supremacists. It’s a subliminal message.”…

ACTIVIST GROUP AMASSES OVER 11,000 SIGNATURES IN 3 DAYS TO FIRE ALBERT MOHLER FROM SOUTHERN BAPTIST THEOLOGICAL SEMINARY

Faithful America, a radical “Christian” organization that describes itself as “the largest online community of Christians putting faith into action for social justice” has amassed over 11,000 signatures for an online petition in an effort to fire Southern Baptist Theological Seminary president Albert Mohler for “enabling racism and attacking the Episcopal Church” as well as for “failing to condemn systemic racism and police violence”

The petition, which was first posted on June 8th, reads:

In a podcast, Mohler used Trump’s blasphemous Bible photo-op at St. John’s Episcopal Church as an excuse to ignore Black lives, pivoting to bizarrely and offensively argue that the Episcopal Church’s use of Scripture (presumably in its embrace of LGBTQ rights) “adds to the pain and the consternation” of the moment.

Not once between the May 25 death of George Floyd and the June 7 launch of this petition has Mohler, likely the next president of the Southern Baptist Convention, used his daily podcast to condemn white supremacy or police violence. Instead, he has often focused on condemning protesters, never even mentioning the word “racism” except to disagree with a progressive Black writer.

All of this comes just two weeks after reports that Mohler defended slavery as recently as a 1998 CNN interview. It’s enough to make you wonder: Does Mohler feel like Black lives don’t matter?

If enough Christians speak out now, it could create enough controversy around Mohler to prevent him from becoming the next leader of America’s largest Protestant denomination — an embarrassment that Christianity does not need.

Directed at “Pastor Clint Pressley, Dean John Montgomery, Pastor Nick Floyd, Mr. Keith Daniels, Mr. Rick Staab, and SBTS Trustees, ” the petition asserts:

Dr. Albert Mohler’s failure to condemn systemic racism and police violence in his recent daily podcasts — despite his condemnation of protesters — enables white supremacy and ignores the God-given dignity of Black lives. This failure is made even more conspicuous by Dr. Mohler’s use of President Trump’s St. John’s photo op to change the topic away from racism and to an unprovoked attack on the Episcopal Church.

Faithful America boasts that it has 160,000 dedicated to the cause, and has as it’s mission statement:” We stick up for courageous Christian voices acting for fairness and freedom in every denomination, and we work together for immigrant and refugee rights, climate justice, and full LGBTQ inclusion, among other important social and economic justice issues.”

Their “successes,” if they could be called that, include convincing Google to drop World Vision, defeating the fracking industry, and fighting Hobby Lobby on contraception.

According to the Courier Journal, Mohler was “not available to talk” about the petition, according to a spokesman. Caleb Shaw, director of communications for Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, sent the following statement:

Dr. Albert Mohler has consistently condemned racism his entire tenure at Southern Seminary and has been a leader in the Southern Baptist Convention in condemning the sin of racism in any form. This so-called petition is a bald-faced lie originating from a far-left organization that has no regard for truth. The effort was then fueled by internet trolls. It deserves no further comment.”

While we would love to see Albert Mohler fired from SBTS for reasons that are manifest, as he demonstrates that he’s clearly the wrong person to halt the theological downgrade happening at SBTS, we don’t need a heretical, unorthodox group doing it or taking up the case for us.

It’s our mess. We’ll take care of it.

OLYMPIA, WASHINGTON: PRO-BLM MAYOR CRIES “DOMESTIC TERRORISM” AFTER HER HOME VANDALIZED

BY LUIS MIGUEL

Fueling the mob is all fun and games until it turns on you.

A mayor from Washington state who has been supportive of the Black Lives Matter movement — even as it has, at times, descended into rioting, looting, arson, and killing in the aftermath of George Floyd’s death — cried “domestic terrorism” after vandals damaged her home.

As The Olympian reports, two protest groups with opposing ideologies converged in downtown Olympia over the weekend, at which time some became destructive, smashing windows, spray-painting businesses, and burning flags.

One of the groups, aligned with Black Lives Matter, consisted of 50 black-clad protesters who arrived at Sylvester Park for a rally advertised on social media as similar to last Friday’s open-mic protest in the downtown area.

The second group was made up of about 30 persons wearing neon-yellow t-shirts emblazoned on the front and back with the word “peacekeepers.” Some held paintball guns.

The black-clad group marched on City Hall before heading for downtown, stealing trash cans and “ROAD WORK AHEAD” signs from parking lots and sidewalks, flipping them over and dragging them through the streets. The “peacekeepers” put the public property back up while the BLM group heckled them.

Eventually, the black-clad group made its way up Capitol Way and into the South Capitol neighborhood to the home of Olympia Mayor Cheryl Selby (shown), where they chanted “abolish the police” and one participant sprayed her front porch and door with “BLM.”

A man holding a blunt object told the group of vandals to leave, threatening them if they didn’t.

Selby and her family were not home at the time of the incident, but her neighbors began texting her about it when the mob arrived on site.

“I’m really trying to process this,” she told The Olympian over the phone. “It’s like domestic terrorism. It’s unfair.”

“It hurts when you’re giving so much to your community,” the mayor added.

Selby’s home was also targeted two years ago during a May Day demonstration. Protesters gathered in her neighborhood, spreading around leaflets and directing chants at her.

Yet the mayor has been supportive of the Black Lives Matter movement, issuing a statement earlier this month in which she declared that she would not impose a curfew on those protesting the death of George Floyd.

“Let me be clear: The City of Olympia supports the peaceful protests that highlight the racial injustices black people continue to endure at the hands of police in the United States.”

The city, Selby asserted, was “not without sin in this matter.” She pointed to the well-off condition of neighborhoods such as her own as a sign that Olympia needs to be more “welcoming” of the city’s “diverse” citizens:

We are a predominantly white community next to communities that are far more diverse. That tells us that we are not, we have not been as welcoming and nurturing to communities of color as we’d like to think. The light switched on in America by Mr. Floyd’s murder shines glaringly on Olympia, as well.

After leaving the mayor’s neighborhood on Friday night, the BLM mob headed back downtown, where they vandalized several businesses. An Olympia police lieutenant reported that there was so much vandalism that the police wouldn’t have all the reports complete for days.

Nevertheless, Olympia police refused to intervene with the destruction, only hanging onto the periphery on patrol vehicles and bikes but not getting close to the marchers.

Later on, a fight broke out after a member of the “peacekeepers” tried to intervene while the BLM group burned an American flag from the Olympia Inn. The man who tried to rescue the flag was seen on the ground and his companions tried to assist him.

The mayor said she feels sorry for her neighbors, a number of whom are families with young children who now fear the vandals will continue coming to the area.

“People have so little grace for each other right now. We need to have more grace,” Selby said.

In an even more extreme example of hypocrisy, veteran NBA reporter Chris Palmer showed his support for BLM’s extremism when he tweeted out a photo of a burning building with the caption “Burn that sh*t down. Burn it all down.”

Later, however, he changed his tune when agitators showed up in his neighborhood:

They just attacked our sister community down the street. It’s a gated community and they tried to climb the gates. They had to beat them back. They destroyed a Starbucks and are now in front of my building. Get these animals TF out of my neighborhood. Go back to where you live.

Limousine liberals don’t like living with the consequences of their politics. Unfortunately, their eleventh-hour epiphanies are often too little, too late.
