Tragic First-Person Accounts of the Effects of COVID-19 School Closures on Children

For reasons unknown, there are still raging debates over whether or not to reopen schools. Simultaneously, schools in states like Georgia and Florida have been open since the fall and managed to keep the children whose parents want them to attend school in person open most of the time. Where they have not been prohibited, private schools opened nationwide. Multiple studies in the U.S. have shown that transmission of COVID-19 is minimal in the school setting, supported by data across the globe.

Even the CDC has recognized this data, citing “scant” transmission in the classroom. Yet nationwide, children are still learning remotely. Most often, continued closures involve irrational demands from teachers’ unions and teachers’ associations. This debate is raging in several counties in Virginia, where it is up to the individual school districts to decide how to provide instruction. One mother, Yael Levin-Sheldon, has had enough.

She has been coordinating a series of Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests to collect data on the negative impact these closures have had on children. Today, she released the data summary for emergency room visits for self-harm and suicide for children between 10 and 19 in her Central Virginia health region. The incidence of emergency room visits in this age group per 100,000 has gone up year-over-year in every single one of the seven counties. Some of the increases are startling.

In Henrico County, Levin-Sheldon’s home county, the rate went from 34.6 per 100,000 in 2019 to 180.8 per 100,000 in 2020. She was motivated to begin collecting data after advocating for schools in her district in June. In the process of her advocacy, she has been called a teacher-killer and a racist in public meetings and online forums. Levin-Sheldon said she is frustrated because all of the private schools in her area are open. Watching her own children’s behavior changes has been devastating.

Her two children were thriving students who loved school and received good grades. Now, she re-teaches them each evening after their remote learning classes to help them to maintain their grades. However, she has needed to seek professional help for both children. Her older child is exhibiting symptoms of OCD and has developed several compulsive habits, including obsessive handwashing. Her younger child has become emotionally labile, showing a wide range of behavior in short periods, from severe anger outbursts to inconsolable tears in minutes.

Levin-Sheldon says there is a school board meeting on Thursday, but the public is not allowed to attend. She expects no progress as the last teachers’ association demand was to fully vaccinate the teachers a month apart and wait the two weeks for effectiveness. The CDC director said today that that was not required. At any rate, it will not happen in Henrico County until the end of March in the best-case scenario. That is right before spring break, and at best, children may get a few weeks of in-person classes before school is out. Levin-Sheldon said:

I know a number of teachers and don’t blame them. Several are ready to return to school and are afraid to speak up. They are being bullied by the Henricho Education Association. I blame a lack of leadership from the school board and by Superintendent Dr. Amy Cashwell.

In Chesterfield County, Kristin Gladstone has similar frustrations. She has a special-needs high school student who is back to school in-person, only because of the small class size. These students are alone in the building, and the student is missing his regular classroom experience outside of the special education program.

Her freshman has attended school for precisely four days since the original shutdown. When they immediately went back to distance learning, her child looked at her and said, “Mom, I’m just losing hope.” This honors student struggled to get average grades last semester and ended up with two Ds. Now, the child is talking about dropping out of school and suffering from decreased appetite, insomnia, and wild mood swings.

Gladstone is functioning as a mother, teacher, and caregiver, taking care of her terminally-ill mother. It is a daily battle to get her freshman to log into remote class and attempt to complete his work — and hers. She is seeking therapy for her child but firmly believes a return to school would have prevented all of this. Just attending for four days in November started to improve her child’s appetite.

School closures have had devastating impacts outside Virginia, as well. On Tucker Carlson Tonight, attorney Laura Grochocki appeared to share the stories she has collected from clients and her community. She represents Lisa Moore, whose son Travis Till committed suicide during the school closure orders from Illinois Governor  J.B. Pritzker. Grochocki is receiving death threats for taking on this case through her small not-for-profit Remember America Action organization. In the interview, she says Moore’s story is just one of the many she has heard, and the foundation cannot take all of the cases her team would like to:

[There is an] outpouring of people calling us and begging us for help. And parents calling us and asking for someone to help them. And the stories of these parents and their kids. Some kids, not just Trevor Till, but at least ten other cases in Illinois that I am aware of kids committing suicide. And eating disorders and hospitalizations over depression. And thousands and thousands of kids from low-income, diverse and rural communities not able to go to college because they are not going to be eligible for scholarships because they didn’t get scouted their junior year…….The crisis is out of control and no one wants to talk about it.

Grochocki said Remember America Action would have filed hundreds of lawsuits across the county if her team had the resources to do it. She said this case was a simple Equal Protection case because Governor Pritzker allowed professional and college teams to play but teen athletes have been crushed by the restrictions.

It is long past time for our national and local leaders to end this madness. Not all private schools have invested millions in new ventilation systems and plexiglass. Most of the studies have used commonsense hygiene measures and cloth masks with additional cleaning requirements. The need for more federal spending is a ridiculous excuse at this point.

The disadvantages that children, even in good schools and without learning disabilities, will have compared to their peers in places where schools are open is unconscionable at this point. There is no way to know how long the gap will exist or the long-term effects of the mental health crisis. It is high time someone pulls a Ronald Reagan with the air-traffic controllers and tells these teachers’ unions and associations their members can be replaced in short order or they will start docking their pay. The future of too many children depends on it.

Frustration is building over the pace of COVID-19 vaccinations at long-term care sites, where some homes still await first shots while fending off a virus that can devastate their residents.

The major drugstore chains tasked with giving shots in these places are far along in vaccinating nursing home residents and staff. But some other types of group residences won't receive first doses until mid-February or later, despite being among the top priorities for shots.

CVS and Walgreens have started a massive vaccination push in nearly all states, and they say they are proceeding on schedule. But resident advocates and experts are anxious about delays in delivering vaccines that have been available for more than a month.

“Every week that you wait and you’re not vaccinating is a big deal here,” said David Grabowski, a health policy professor at Harvard Medical School. “My sense is that this process is still going too slow.”

Government officials placed long-term care residents and staff among their top vaccination priorities after they authorized the emergency use of shots from Pfizer and Moderna late last year. That includes both nursing homes, where residents get 24-hour-a-day medical care; assisted living facilities, where people generally need less help; and other types of group homes.

Vaccinations then proceeded quickly in some states like West Virginia, which didn’t rely on the drugstore chains and Connecticut.

But — as with other aspects of the rollout — the results have been choppy overall. In many places, home operators and residents' relatives have watched with frustration as states opened vaccine eligibility to other populations before the work in long-term care homes was finished.

Laura Vuchetich says her elderly parents live in a Milwaukee assisted living community and need shots badly. But they have been told they won’t get them until the middle of February even as pharmacies have started handing out hundreds of doses to younger people, including a friend of hers in good health.

“They’re supposed to be at the front of the line,” she said. “They’re in the mid-80s, and my mom had a heart attack last year. It’s just baffling to me.”

Such homes have been hit hard by the coronavirus.

A federal government study last fall found that an average of one death occurred among every five assisted living facility residents with COVID-19 in states that offered data. That compares with one death among every 40 people with the virus in the general population.

The government tasked CVS and Walgreens with administering the shots to long-term care locations in nearly every state. Each vaccine requires two shots a few weeks apart, and CVS and Walgreens say they have wrapped up first-dose clinics in nursing homes.

The chains plan three visits to each location. CVS spokesman TJ Crawford said most residents will be fully vaccinated after the second visit, and the vast majority of assisted living facilities and other residences will have their third visits by mid-March. Some clinics will wrap up in April.

While they wait, the people working and living in those locations are stuck in limbo, hoping the virus doesn’t spread to them or return, said Nicole Howell, who runs a California-based non-profit that advocates for long-term care residents.

“They are essentially standing at the front door fighting this disease with sanitizer and limited staff,” said Howell, executive director of Ombudsman Services of Contra Costa, Solano, and Alameda counties.

Severine Petras watched a COVID-19 outbreak develop at a Pennsylvania assisted living home her company operates a couple weeks before the first vaccines arrived. The Priority Life Care CEO said the recent outbreak hit a “significant” amount of staff and some residents, including one person who died.

Vaccine scheduling has been slow in that state, she said.

“We should have had at least one round of vaccinations in there," she said. “It would have helped tremendously.”

Petras said she's frustrated in part because it was widely known that COVID-19 cases would surge after the holidays. She wishes vaccines had been scheduled sooner to protect against that.

As of Sunday morning, 3.5 million doses have been given in long-term care facilities, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. That's about one-third of the roughly 10 million vaccines that Grabowski estimates will be needed to fully protect residents and employees.

“It almost feels like we went about this backwards where they contracted with the pharmacies and let set up the schedule versus saying, ‘Here’s the schedule that you need to meet,’” he said.

The drugstore chains have faced several challenges. At some locations, a high percentage of staff have declined the shots on the initial visits. The companies also had to set up thousands of clinics and reschedule some at locations where COVID-19 outbreaks developed.

CVS and Walgreens say states determined when they could start giving shots at assisted-living facilities, and they have finished first-dose clinics when they were allowed to begin in December. But other states didn’t allow them to start until mid-January. They also say they are pouring thousands of employees into the effort.

Even so, Grabowski and Howell say outside assistance still may be needed to speed up the effort in some areas.

In New York, the Empire State Association of Assisted Living contacted state regulators because some homes had initial clinics scheduled in March, Executive Director Lisa Newcomb said. Those clinic dates were then moved mostly to late January.

“We had some members who were very, very upset about having to wait until March,” she said.

In Florida, the state brought in an outside company to help deliver vaccines if the drugstore chains weren’t able to schedule a first clinic until late January.

Innovation Senior Living CEO Pilar Carvajal said the company called one of her homes that hadn’t had a clinic date set yet and showed up the next day to start delivering shots.

She said vaccinations should be complete at her six Florida assisted-living facilities by the end of March. Then she can stop worrying about employees bringing the virus to work after doing something as simple as going out to eat.

“That is the one thing we cannot control,” she said. “The sooner we can get vaccinated, obviously the safer we will be.”

WASHINGTON — The Pentagon has decided to offer coronavirus vaccines to detainees at Guantánamo Bay, Cuba, possibly starting next week, according to a prosecutor in the case against five prisoners accused of conspiring in the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001.

The prosecutor, Clayton G. Trivett Jr., wrote to defense lawyers on Thursday “that an official in the Pentagon has just signed a memo approving the delivery of the Covid-19 vaccine to the detainee population in Guantánamo.”…

Lack of vaccinations has been a major obstacle to resuming war crimes hearings at the base’s Camp Justice compound. It was not immediately known whether the defendants in the Sept. 11 case, including Khalid Shaikh Mohammed, would consent to be vaccinated….

Joe Biden has called for “unity” and “healing”. And nobody knows as much about healing as Joe whose wife has a doctorate in education from the university that hosts his Biden Institute and the Beau Biden Foundation which was charging $3K for lessons on preventing online child sex grooming even as Hunter’s laptop with the Foundation’s sticker allegedly showed him doing it.

Except maybe Joe’s brother who took out $650,000 in personal loans from a company that bankrupted local hospitals while trading on his brother’s name and connections to his campaign.

"I think it has to happen," Biden said, mandating the show impeachment trial of his predecessor.

Once upon a time, impeachments were rare things. These days, Democrats aren’t considered truly progressive if they don’t impeach a Republican president twice in one term. President Trump is back in Florida, but that won’t stop the Democrats from impeaching him anyway before they move on to impeaching the presidents like Washington and Lincoln whose statues their insurrectionist mobs were toppling all summer and fall back when insurrection was still cool.

When asked how he defines unity, Joe Biden, with the help of three teleprompters and a small staff communicating with him through his earpiece and a series of frantic signals and hoots, explained that, “If you pass a piece of legislation that breaks down on party lines but it gets passed, it doesn't mean there wasn't unity -- it just means it wasn't bipartisan.”

Like most ideas that travel the circuitous route between his handlers, his brain, and his mouth, it may be impossible to understand what Joseph Robinette Biden Jr. said, but it’s pretty clear what the senile hack ruling a city under the shadow of military occupation and political terror meant.

Unity is when Democrats get their way. Unity is when no one opposes them. Unity is when they terrorize their political opposition into submitting and keeping their mouths shut.

Or as Speaker Pelosi put it, “I don't think it's very unifying to say, 'Oh, let's just forget it and move on.' That's not how you unify."

How do you unify? The same way every great democratic people’s regime did from France to Russia to China to San Francisco -- with show trials and purges of the enemies of the people.

Nothing says unity like a city full of barbed wire and soldiers. Not to mention a one-party system that is obsessed with criminalizing its political opposition using a fake state of emergency.

"There can be no unity, federal or other, with liberal-labor politicians, with disruptors of the working-class movement, with those who defy the will of the majority," Vladimir Lenin wrote. "There can and must be unity among all consistent Marxists."

The only unity on display is the unity of “consistent Marxists” who claim to represent the will of the majority, or those parts of it willing to trade harvested ballots for a fruit basket and $25 gift cards, as they move to heal the country by eliminating women, suburbs, and the economy.

The show trial of President Trump and the city full of soldiers is just the opening act to the Great Purge of a domestic terrorism crackdown on anyone who ever retweeted the wrong meme.

Biden will embed a domestic terrorism office in the NSC, making the NSC's former abuses under Obama routine as a system meant to track foreign enemies is instead used to surveil domestic political opponents. Heading the effort will be Joshua Geltzman who had formerly falsely claimed, "No, Black Lives Matter is not a terrorist organization."

Inside of a month, Democrats had redefined riots and election challenges from the highest form of patriotism to an attack on democracy. And by “democracy”, they mean the Democrat Party.

Popular leaders don’t take their false oaths of office in a deserted city surrounded by barbed wire and military checkpoints manned by 25,000 troops. Nor do they engage in show trials of their predecessors or unroll massive efforts to surveil, arrest, and silence their opponents.

That’s not the stuff of healing, but it is how you unite a country at gunpoint under your rule.

After four years of vowing to remove President Trump by any means from massive riots to illegal eavesdropping to coups, the Democrats declared an emergency because a few Republicans had done 10% of the things they had been doing, but without dressing up as human genitalia.

Democrats had been collecting bail fund donations for mass arrests in post-election protests and even a “separate fund to raise money for the families of anyone killed in violence on or around Election Day.” And then they pivoted from prepping body bags to declaring that insurrection was a national emergency which will require the National Guard to sleep in parking lots where they won’t annoy Democrat House members until Biden sees his own shadow.

That or the show trials wrap up before they get around to mandating that all future elections take place at Democrat campaign offices preceded by poll tests about equity and white privilege.

Meanwhile, the Democrat media went from writing sympathetic pieces about BLM lawyers throwing molotov cocktails at the police to demanding a thorough purge of every single person who had ever questioned the idea that Joe Biden might not be the most popular politician ever.

"Marxist philosophy holds that the law of the unity of opposites is the fundamental law of the universe," Mao had argued. " Under this system, the people enjoy extensive democracy and freedom, but at the same time they have to keep within the bounds of socialist discipline."

The bounds of socialist discipline, like a black hole, sucks things in without letting them out.

Democrats aren’t proposing that Americans unite under the Constitution. There’s no room in the Constitution for criminalizing political opposition or impeaching presidents after they leave office.

The Democrats want to make sure we stay within the shrinking bounds of socialist discipline.

Unity just means bringing the opposition into the dialectic and then making sure that it plays by the new rules of the game even if they were invented last week by way of convenience.

The new rules of unity are that no one may question an election that the Democrats claim to have won, no one may say anything that Big Tech doesn’t like, and no one may suggest that Biden’s Assistant Health Secretary is a middle-aged man in a dress and a flowing blonde wig.

(Now there’s a man who knows a lot about healing. Just ask the 8,400 seniors who died in Pennsylvania nursing homes while Dr. Rick ‘Rachel’ Levine, Biden’s new Assistant Health Secretary, withdrew his mother, but forced facilities to accept infected coronavirus patients.)

Questioning an election has become incitement to insurrection. To suggest that there’s anything illegitimate about Biden is sedition. Unity means believing that Joe Biden legitimately won an election for which Democrats changed the rules beforehand, then declared a national emergency, and inaugurated him behind barbed wire and lines of soldiers authorized to shoot.

That and believing that his assistant health secretary is a woman.

Believing implausible things is the essence of party discipline. If you want to understand how hardened Communists could shout, “Long live Stalin” just before they were shot in the gulags, it’s because they had spent a generation being conditioned to believe whatever they were told.

“The party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command,” George Orwell wrote in 1984.

When slavery is freedom, and ignorance is truth, then repression becomes healing. The dialectic unites opposites, turning lies into truth, and flattening all contradictions. The message of the party becomes a gnostic mystery whose paradoxes are overcome by political faith.

The evidence of our eyes and ears is more valuable than ever in an environment of lies.

And that ocular and aural testimony finds scant evidence of unity, but plenty of repression. Americans aren’t coming together, they’re being driven further apart under the guise of a manufactured emergency being declared by insurrectionist rioters suddenly turned patriots.

D.C. isn’t the epicenter of unity and healing, but of a wave of political purges targeting everyone from President Trump to ordinary Americans whose political views are being criminalized.

There’s no healing to be found in show trials and political purges. Only the unity that comes from eliminating the political opposition in your very own Bidenist banana republic.

The latest of Joe Biden’s THIRTY SEVEN executive orders signed in the first week of his presidency states that the term ‘Chinese virus’ or ‘China virus’ is now banned.

Yes, this is real.

The White House website confirms that Biden signed this EO.

CBS News reported ‘Biden to address racism toward Asian Americans during pandemic with executive action’.

The report notes that “The Biden executive order is also expected to direct federal agencies like the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to examine whether there are xenophobic references like “China virus” in any existing policies, directives or government websites published by the Trump administration.”

NBC News lists all the executive actions Biden has instigated thus far, with the last being the ban on the term ‘China Virus’. The report notes that “additionally, the order directed the attorney general to work to prevent discrimination and hate crimes.”

Given that literally anything is now being touted as a ‘hate crime’, that could mean banning or canceling absolutely everyone and everything.

As we noted earlier, Biden admitted back in October that anyone who legislates by executive order should be considered ‘a dictator’.

Merck Scraps COVID Vaccines; Says It’s More Effective To Get The Virus And Recover

Vaccine manufacturer Merck has abandoned development of two coronavirus vaccines, saying that after extensive research it was concluded that the shots offered less protection than just contracting the virus itself and developing antibodies.

The company announced that the shots V590 and V591 were ‘well tolerated’ by test patients, however they generated an ‘inferior’ immune system response in comparison with natural infection. 

The company stated that instead it will focus on research into therapeutic drugs labeled as MK-7110 and MK-4482.

The drugs aim to protect patients from the damage of an overactive immune response to the virus.

“Interim results from a Phase 3 study showed a greater than 50 percent reduction in the risk of death or respiratory failure in patients hospitalized with moderate to severe COVID-19,” the company’s statement noted of the MK-7110 drug.

Merck is to receive around $356 million from the US government to fast-track production of the potential treatments under Operation Warp Speed.

Chief Marketing Officer Michael Nally recently told Bloomberg that Merck is aiming to produce some 20 million courses of the MK-4482 drug, an oral antiviral which patients will take twice a day for five days.

Meanwhile, in related news, German scientists have claimed that the UK Oxford/AstraZeneca vaccine is less than 8% effective in over 65s, prompting the vaccine developers to hit back, rubbishing the claims.

The German media published the claims, alleging it had been ‘confirmed’ by ‘multiple’ unnamed senior German government sources.

UK government ministers have suggested that the claim could be related to the ongoing dispute over delivery of the vaccine between the European Union and AstraZeneca.

The EU, which is yet to approve the vaccine, has threatened to block exports of shots to Britain, in a move that has been branded ‘spiteful’ by British government sources.

In an effort to make sure its member states get their ‘fair share’ of vaccines, the EU has also threatened to block the delivery of Pfizer vaccines to the UK, demanding that drug companies provide detailed information on when they plan to export Covid jabs to countries outside the bloc.

On the day of Joe Biden’s inauguration, The World Health Organization (WHO) announced that a positive test result alone is no longer sufficient to determine a Chinese coronavirus infection. Now the communist-tied organization states that a second test is required along with a clinical diagnosis. Under Biden’s new administration, the sudden changes in the WHO’s guidelines will most likely lead to a significant decrease in the number of positive cases.

Not surprisingly, in one of his first acts as president, Biden resumed funding for the WHO and joined its “consortium aimed at sharing” the controversial gene-altering coronavirus vaccines “fairly around the globe”.

The new WHO guideline dated January 13th was updated and published an hour after Joe Biden’s contested inauguration coinciding with his executive order mandating masks on all federal properties.

For months, many scientists and doctors have criticized and warned that PCR test (polymerase chain reaction) practices are flawed and lead to an excessive number of coronavirus cases. Despite their warnings, governments around the world still implemented harsh lockdown policies based on large numbers of potentially false positive tests.

Joe Biden’s administration will likely attribute the drop in positive cases to his new executive orders which he claims are to combat the coronavirus. However, in effect the drop appears to have been a kind of planned “accounting error” up till now.

As reported at RAIR Foundation USA, a collaboration of media outlets and big tech companies called the Trusted News Initiative (TNI) led an effort to discredit President Trump’s coronavirus response. Furthermore, Hillary Clinton’s Accountable Tech organization is leading an effort to pressure Joe Biden to use the resources of the federal government to squash dissent on the approved coronavirus narrative.

Thirty-two residents have died in The Commons on St. Anthony, a nursing home in Auburn, Cayuga county, New York during  a COVD-19 outbreak that started at the end of December 2020. On Jan. 5, 2021, there were 130 residents, who tested positive for COVD-19 and, as of Jan. 11, there were 104 active coronavirus cases in the nursing home with 47 recoveries and 47 employees in quarantine.1 2 3

Recently, the New York nursing home began administering the COVD-19 vaccine to staff and residents. On Dec. 22, 193 residents and 113 staff members received their first COVID-19 vaccination, with the second dose given on Jan. 12.4 As of Jan. 6, 80 percent of the residents had been vaccinated.5 The local news reported, “The outbreak started at the same time the facility started to administer the COVID-19 vaccine.”6

In an attempt to curb the COVID-19 outbreak, the building is on droplet precaution and staff members are required to wear gowns, face shields, gloves and a mask.7 COVID-19 positive residents are quarantined on a separate floor from other residents.8

Prior to this outbreak, there had been no COVD-19 related deaths in any Cayuga county nursing home. More than half of the 3,650 cases in Cayuga county have been reported since Dec. 21.9 In December, Cayuga county had 2,024 cases of confirmed COVD-19.10

Julie Sheedy, spokesperson for Loretto which operates The Commons nursing home said:

Our staff continues to do everything it possibly can to keep COVID outside our doors, and our employees have made tremendous personal sacrifices to limit their own exposure. But they still need to go to grocery stores in order to feed their families. Their children need to go to school and daycare. And many of our employees rely on public transportation.11

A federal program partnering pharmacies with nursing homes has worked to provide COVID-19 vaccination programs to nursing home residents in recent weeks. According to New York’s Governor Andrew Cuomo, 288 of the 611 the state’s nursing homes had completed administering the first dose of the vaccine as of Jan. 4.12

The COVID-19 vaccination program coincides with an upsurge in COVID-19 related deaths in New York nursing homes and adult care facilities. According to the New York State Department of Health and the Long-Term Care Community Coalition, there were 508 deaths (250 per week) in the two weeks prior to Jan. 4. According to the CDC, between July and October, the average weekly death toll was just 12 deaths every week in nursing homes and adult care facilities.13

After the recent upsurge in cases and deaths in New York nursing homes, Governor Cuomo continued to promote the vaccination effort stating that vaccines are, “the weapon that will win the war.”14

Vaccines are being distributed by the millions, but can and should you get one, and where?

Moderna is confident that it can produce 500 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine in 2021—enough to give two doses to 75 percent of the U.S. population. But obviously, not everyone can be vaccinated at once. The first doses are being allocated to healthcare workers, other essential workers, and high-risk persons such as the elderly. Some people feel aggrieved that others are in line before them—unfairly.

The safest place to get a vaccine or other treatment is in a place where the atmosphere is calm, your medical record is accessible, and equipment and trained personnel are immediately available. At least one clinic, with a very large patient base, bought a new freezer—but hasn’t been able to get vaccine.

An unexpected COVID-19 danger you might face currently is at a mass vaccination site. When people are frightened and angry, the last place you want to be is in a crowd or a traffic jam. In Florida, police and National Guard were at one vaccination site. Tempers were frayed. Many had been lined up in their cars for hours and were furious when turned away for lack of an appointment.

People were instructed to wait afterward in the parking lot and sound their horns if they were having a reaction. Apparently, the site was prepared to treat anaphylactic shock, but problems can recur after an initial response. Is there a safe exit path to an emergency room? Are emergency rooms ready?

Questions are swirling around on the internet. Can the time guidelines for the second dose—21 days for Pfizer, 28 days for Moderna—be relaxed so that more people can get partial protection from the first dose, as the UK government proposed? Can you get the second dose with a different vaccine based on availability? The FDA says stick with the schedule that has been tested. If you are a little late for the second shot, officials say get it as soon as you can.

Hundreds of people are showing up at emergency rooms with vaccine reactions, including high fever and severe headache. It can look just like COVID. The vaccine contains no virus, so it can’t infect you, but it takes a week or two for the protection to start, and you might have been infected before you got vaccinated. Most reactions are expected to resolve in a day or two, but if there is a physical injury it would be covered under the Countermeasures Injury Compensation Program (CICP).

There have been a few post-vaccine deaths, e.g. a healthy Miami physician, but Pfizer says they are unrelated. Doctors are urged to counter ”bad reaction anecdotes” with “good reaction” stories.

The virus is reportedly mutating, and the mutant might not be affected by the new monoclonal antibody treatments . Will the vaccine still be effective?

The vaccine is not a magic bullet. Look into immunity-boosting measures and early treatment options that you may need whether you eventually get a vaccine or not. See:

Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) and chief medical advisor to the president, was pleased to tell the pro-China World Health Organization (WHO) on Thursday that the United States will remain in it after Joe Biden reversed President Trump’s decision to pull the United States out of the scandal-plagued outfit.

“I am honored to announce that the United States will remain a member of the World Health Organization,” Fauci said while speaking at a World Health Organization Executive Board meeting.

At the gathering, Fauci called WHO Director-General Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus “my dear friend.”

Tedros is an actual communist who does not even have a medical degree. He landed his UN job with backing from Communist China. Before setting up shop at WHO, he played a leading role in the murderous Tigray People’s Liberation Front (TPLF) in his native Ethiopia. This Marxist terror organization declared war on other ethnic groups. Tedros served as a top member of TPLF’s Politburo Central Committee.

The U.S. government designated TPLF a terrorist organization for its history of murder, kidnapping, and other violent acts, including attacks on religious figures, journalists, and private citizens. In fact, the Global Terror Database still lists it as such.

Fauci then announced that Biden had signed a letter retracting former President Donald Trump’s decision to withdraw from WHO — and assured those present that the United States will continue to fund the organization.

“I join my fellow representatives in thanking the World Health Organization for its role in leading the global public health response to this pandemic,” Fauci said.

The NIAID head made no mention of the WHO’s failures during the COVID-19 outbreak, during which it allowed China to lie and downplay the nature of the disease until it had spread to much of the world.

It was because of the WHO’s failures and its favoritism toward China that President Trump withdrew the United States from it in July 2020.

“China has total control over the World Health Organization despite only paying $40 million per year compared to what the United States has been paying, which is approximately $450 million a year,” Trump said in July 2020. The country was scheduled to withdraw from the organization in July 2021.

“The Biden Administration also intends to be fully engaged in advancing global health, supporting global health security and the Global Health Security Agenda, and building a healthier future for all people,” Fauci declared in his speech before the WHO Executive Board.

Fauci further announced that Biden will reaffirm the United States’ commitment to join COVAX, a WHO program to push vaccine acceleration and distribution while subsidizing vaccine access in poorer countries.

Tedros was grateful to know the United States will be remaining in his organization.

Fauci was often at odds with President Trump on COVID-19 policy, but the NIAID director appears eager to form part of the Biden administration.

In November, in fact, Fauci appeared in a livestream with Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg, in which the tech baron said he would work closely with the new administration to “push around authoritative information on vaccines.”

On his second day in office, Joe Biden is expected to sign an executive order mandating the use of masks or face coverings in airports and on commercial planes.

This would come right after his Wednesday order that all federal employees and contractors wear masks, as well as anyone in federal buildings or on federal lands.

“Put simply, masks and other public health measures reduce the spread of the disease, particularly when communities make widespread use of such measures, and thus save lives,” reads Wednesday’s order.

The expected Thursday order would extend to modes of public transportation such as trains and intercity buses.

These moves have the support of the unions.

As Fox News notes:

Airlines for America, a trade organization with members including most major U.S. carriers, has previously and repeatedly championed masks in both airports and on airplanes since the start of the pandemic. Most recently, the group lauded the Federal Aviation Administration’s decision to implement a new “zero tolerance” policy for passengers who refuse to comply with the airlines’ mask policies, or exhibit unruly behavior. While not a federal mandate — the airlines are currently responsible for setting and enforcing their own face-covering policies — the FAA will impose steeper fines and penalties for passengers who refuse to comply with the carriers’ rules.

… “We will no longer adjudicate certain of these unruly passenger cases with counseling or warnings,” FAA Chief Steve Dickson told Reuters, outlining fines of up to $35,000 and possible jail time. “We’re going to go straight to enforcement.”

The wave of censorship that began with Facebook and Twitter banning President Trump has escalated to a takedown of Parler, a conservative alternative, to media campaigns urging crackdowns on a variety of alternative apps and services like Signal, Telegram, MeWe, and Zello, and a push by CNN to have AT&T and Comcast ban conservative cable networks.


There’s even an FCC crackdown on conservatives using ham radios to communicate.


Proposals are percolating through the media and its national security commentariat to transform the FBI from a law enforcement agency to a “domestic spy agency” monitoring Americans.


Last year, Hillary Clinton was warning that fascism was coming to America.


"The idea that it can't happen here is just old fashioned," Hillary had insisted while falsely claiming that the 2016 election had been stolen from her. Now her party is rolling out actual fascism while criminalizing any questions and concerns about the 2020 election.


It is happening here.


Hillary’s latest op-ed in the Washington Post, a paper owned by the richest man in the world whose company de-platformed Parler, calls for expelling Republican legislators, passing “new criminal laws”, and government oversight of social media platforms. This is fascism.


All House Democrats voted for a resolution calling for an unconstitutional 25th Amendment coup and when that failed for an impeachment that falsely blames President Trump for the violence because, even though he urged peaceful protests, his speech contained the word, “fight”.


Democrats warn that questioning their election wins is “incendiary”, “incitement”, “shouting fire in a crowded theater”, and “not protected speech”.


The basic norms of political protest and legislative opposition are rapidly being criminalized.


Many Democrats have endorsed an illegal 14th Amendment push to expel Republican Senate members, including Senator Ted Cruz, for merely questioning the election.


Expelling political opponents for questioning your abuses is the behavior of fascists.


Attorney General Karl Racine in D.C., who cheered the Black Lives Matter race rioters, is investigating conservative rally speakers for incitement for questioning the election results.


The only places where questioning election results are illegal is in dictatorships.


We now live in a country with politically vetted soldiers in the streets, political propaganda, and a climate of political terror against the people that Speaker Pelosi called “enemies of the state”.


The same Democrat machine that supported a year of Black Lives Matter riots that killed 8 people, wounded over 700 law enforcement officers, and caused over $2 billion in damage, which included violent attacks on the White House and on federal buildings, exploited a single day of violence on Capitol Hill to declare a national emergency and claim an “insurrection”.


When President Trump and Senator Tom Cotton proposed using the Insurrection Act to stop the year of Black Lives Matter violence, Democrats had accused them of fascism.


“This is Fascism,” The New Republic blared then. Now that fascism has actually arrived, it’s cheering the military occupation and the Democrat purge of the “enemies of the state”.


Exploiting a moment of crisis, real or feigned, to unroll a system of domestic repression from Stalin’s exploitation of Kirov’s murder to launch the Great Purge, to the Reichstag fire being used by the Nazis to eliminate the political opposition, is how totalitarian regimes are born.


A totalitarian fascist regime is being birthed again by the Democrats in Washington D.C.


This is not the first time that Democrats have exploited violence to criminalize and delegitimize the political opposition. After the Kennedy assassination by a socialist traitor who had defected to the USSR, Democrats blamed a climate of “right-wing hate” in Dallas. The false claim of a right-wing conspiracy was invented by the KGB and fed to the Washington Post by Khrushchev.


Democrats and the media spent two generations convincing Americans that “right-wing hate” had killed Kennedy and reviving that smear to attack every new conservative movement.


The narrative of “right-wing extremism” began before the Kennedy assassination in the same way that it always does as a pretext for suppressing political opposition to a new Democrat administration. Kennedy’s death helped solidify what would become a well-worn template.


The Clinton administration built its domestic program around fighting “right-wing extremism”. Democrats and the media focused on “anti-government extremists” while ignoring the growing threat of Islamic terrorism from Osama bin Laden and Al Qaeda that would lead to 9/11.


While Biden cracks down on the conservative political opposition, history is likely to repeat itself with the rise of Islamic terrorists and a growing new threat to America.


But cracking down on conservative populism was key to Clinton’s agenda while 9/11 wasn’t.


When Obama came into office, Bill Clinton revived the smear that the Oklahoma City bombing had been caused by "right-wing, radio talk-show hosts" and that history was repeating itself. The Obama administration jettisoned the fight against Islamic terrorism and instead focused on fighting conservative populism while ISIS built a terror empire and beheaded Americans.


When the Obama administration didn’t have enough material from genuine extremists, Democrats and the media falsely blamed a shooting by a mentally ill man that killed a Republican judge and wounded former Rep. Gabby Giffords on Sarah Palin and the GOP.


No amount of time or contradictory events has managed to part Democrats from this lie.


And so the New York Times responded to the violence on Capitol Hill by rolling out an op-ed connecting the Giffords shooting with the events there. Other media outlets linked it to the Kennedy assassination and other equally discredited narratives about “right-wing hate”.


The Biden regime is following the familiar pattern of suppressing a conservative populist movement rising against its radical agenda by criminalizing it as a dangerous threat. But no previous Democrat suppression campaign, not even after the murder of a president, ever involved the scope, ruthlessness, and brutality of the one we are witnessing right now.


In the generations and decades since the Left has gained a great deal of control over some of the biggest companies in America. Previous Democrat administrations had repressed their political opponents by abusing the IRS, the FCC, and the FBI. These forms of political repression were ugly but fell far short of fascism. But the new partnership between the government and the monopolies has spawned a crackdown more closely resembling fascism.


The integration of governmental, cultural, and economic power within a single agenda while using it to conduct a full-spectrum campaign of criminalization, de-platforming, and banning against the political opposition has created an all-encompassing totalitarian fascist machine.


Fascism is rooted in the ancient symbol of the ‘Fasces’: the bundle of bound rods that have come to embody the centralization of power. And power has never been as centralized in America as it is today with political, cultural, and economic power in a handful of hands.


But that’s just the beginning.


The Democrats don’t want unity or healing. What they want is to bring about a one-party state just as they have in California where massive election fraud, ballot harvesting, ghost districts of illegal aliens, and the concentration of economic power in Big Tech gave Senator Kamala Harris a national political career when she won her Senate seat by running against another Democrat.


D.C. isn’t under military guard to protect our government, but a partisan political agenda.


The Democrats didn’t want troops in D.C. when their own were rioting during President Trump’s inauguration or violently attacking the White House. They don’t need 25,000 troops to stop a few hundred protesters. They need them as a show of force to suppress political opposition.


Biden and the Democrats are using a military deployment for a show of political force, using a manufactured crisis to rally support behind their radical agenda, while suppressing dissent.


That agenda is deeply unpopular among Americans. It entails eliminating election safeguards against voter fraud, opening the borders to illegal aliens, passing illegal alien amnesty, transforming D.C. and Puerto Rico into states, and packing the Supreme Court to prevent the judiciary from stopping its abuses. All of this is meant to create a one-party state.


The Democrats are marshaling all their political, economic, and cultural forces to distract attention from their agenda and to suppress the rising opposition to its plot against America.


That’s why anyone listening to 15 seconds of CNN would imagine that we are at war when the only war is the one that the Democrats and their media allies have declared on Americans.


America is not a banana republic. There is no place for military theater, lists of enemies, or declaring political opponents to be enemies of the state. The Democrats have already embraced fascism before even formally taking power. Fascists always claim to be seizing power in reaction to an emergency. The manufactured emergency is here. Aides to President-elect Biden say that he will propose another massive pandemic relief bill costing $2 trillion dollars. It will include $2,000 individual checks for taxpayers.


Biden will outline more of the plan later on Thursday, but Senate Democrats are also talking seriously about merging pandemic relief with a completely unrelated infrastructure bill. It’s likely the total cost for both measures together will exceed $3 trillion.


Moreover, Democrats are discussing ways to use budget reconciliation to pass most of their legislation. This would mean the filibuster would be off the table and legislation could pass by a simple majority.

The Biden team is taking a “shoot for the moon” approach with the package, one lawmaker in close contact with them told CNN, though they added that the price tag could still change. The proposal will include sizable direct payments to American families, significant state and local funding — including for coronavirus vaccine distribution and other emergency spending measures — to help those struggling during the pandemic.


Biden is set to announce the details of his plan in Wilmington, Delaware, Thursday evening.


Democrats hold only the slimmest of majorities in the House and the Senate, and Republicans have recently resisted efforts to pass Covid-19 relief on a multi-trillion dollar scale. But Biden’s party believes it may have only a brief window to pass sweeping relief legislation and the President-elect has faced significant pressure from some Democrats to go big.


Also on the table will be more extra unemployment payments and aid to state and local governments that are suffering budget shortfalls because of the pandemic. Some of that cash is likely to go into fixing state pension systems, run into the ground by Democratic governors and their public union allies.


There will be money for vaccine distribution, schools, and other health care concerns, but it’s also likely that the individual checks to taxpayers will be a standalone bill passed very shortly after Biden is sworn in.

Current Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell rejected a standalone bill on increasing the value of the checks, but with Democrats about to take control of the chamber — and of Congress — following victories in two Georgia Senate runoff elections, Biden will likely have the votes to approve increased relief spending.


Senate Democratic leader Chuck Schumer of New York has said that one of the first bills he’d like to pass once he becomes Senate majority leader would raise stimulus payments to $2,000.

Biowarfare is as the ancients dumping corpses in each other’s wells, and by the Cold War, both sides had developed storehouses of biological weapons alongside their nuclear weapons.


Mutually Assured Destruction kept the world from dying from radiation poisoning or plague.


The deadly weapons of the Cold War stalemated each other so that neither side could use its weapons without unleashing massive destruction. Both the US and the USSR war-gamed the use of ‘low-yield’ battlefield nuclear weapons that would allow for strategic victories without triggering a full-scale nuclear war that would kill billions of people and wreck both sides.


The consensus was that any use of nuclear weapons on the battlefield would be apocalyptic.


The People’s Republic of China may have disproven that theory using not nuclear, but biological weapons, to secure a strategic victory while avoiding any retaliation for its biowarfare attack.


Instead of escalating military tensions, the PRC made itself economically indispensable to America’s elites allowing it to carry out an attack under the cover of plausible deniability. The purpose of the first biowarfare strike wasn’t mass death. The dead were collateral damage.


Communist China’s goal is economic supremacy. Its biological attack wasn’t aimed exclusively at America, but at the high-functioning economies in open societies who are its customers and enemies. And the attack succeeded in crippling the world’s top two economies while making them more dependent on China’s economic machine.


China’s image has taken a beating around the world for unleashing the virus, lying about it, and then cashing in on the disaster, but it has come out of it with more money and power than ever. Its moves against India and in the South China Sea show it would rather be feared than loved.


Most importantly, China has learned that it can unleash chaos while profiting from the disaster.


If the current coronavirus wasn’t made in a lab, the odds are that the next one will be. The past year provided the Communist regime with a blueprint for getting rich by weakening its enemies.


Now that China knows that it can unleash a virus, lie about it, and come out stronger than ever, why wouldn’t it do it again?


China has come out of the plague year stronger than ever by spreading the virus and then selling America and Europe, battered by the pandemic, lockdowns, and turmoil, the masks and base compounds to protect itself. The biological attack allowed China to not only test us, but to test its own society, using the pandemic to centralize and solidify control over its population.


The real weapon wasn’t the virus. It was chaos.


Chaos is the weapon of the insurgency, political, international, and ideological, against an open society. It’s a familiar weapon that China is currently better built to endure than we are.


When the Soviet Union kickstarted the new age of Islamic terrorism, it was betting that the chaos of bombings and airline hijackings would take a more serious toll on open societies that care about civil rights and the judicial system. Communist regimes were much better suited to suppressing terrorism and to expecting their citizens to shrug off acts of random terror.


The Russians took quite a beating in Afghanistan and Chechnya from the virus they originally unleashed, and there have been devastating acts of terrorism, most notably in Beslan, but domestic terrorism was never much of an issue until the fall of the USSR. And despite the growing Muslim population in the territories under its control, terrorism hasn’t crippled Russia to the extent that it has Europe. Nor did it make Russia spin out of control the way it did America.


The pandemic, like terrorism and online hacking, is the latest in a series of chaos weapons directed at our society. And it may be the most effective of the chaos weapons to date.


Like terrorism, the virus shuts down travel, collapses economies, and creates uncertainty and doubt. These are conditions that weaken open societies, but strengthen closed ones. Even a sizable death toll doesn’t worry a country that has spent generations struggling to roll back an excess population. The people most likely to die in a pandemic, older men or lower class male workers, are considered a burden or surplus to the new Chinese economy anyway.


The virus, from the PRC’s perspective, helps shed the dead weight of useless people.


The Chinese perspective is horrifying but not that foreign. Did the Democrat administrations, hospital systems and health care experts that forced nursing homes in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and California, among others, to accept infected patients not know what would happen? Or did they think that “the old man’s friend” would rid them of useless people?


While the pandemic and their policies have been devastating for America, they’ve been mostly helpful to Democrats from a demographic and political perspective. The people most likely to die of the virus are older, and therefore statistically more conservative. The lockdowns broke down small businesses, another conservative demographic, and shattered health care systems, accelerating the collapse of the healthcare industry, and its takeover by the government.


Before the pandemic, Democrats were going up against a 2020 incumbent with a booming economy. By Election Day, the country had turned into a very different place than it had been.


The world’s third largest economy and the second largest party of the world’s largest economy had common interests that the pandemic fulfilled. Pandemic America is more like China, more centralized, more dependent on the Big Tech oligarchy, and more willing to set aside its basic freedoms to cope with a crisis. Everything that the Left claimed was true of 9/11, but wasn’t, has proven all too true of the COVID-19 crisis which replaced civil liberties with emergency rule.


And normalized collectivism under the rule of unelected officials bolstered by mass propaganda.


All China has to do if it wants to keep turning America into an inept socialist kleptocracy with no economy to speak of, a vast underclass, and a small corrupt overclass, is keep feeding the chaos. What the Russians tried to do in their usual clunky and showy way by utilizing the inherent chaos of the internet, the Chinese did much more smoothly and cleanly with a virus.


China wants America broken, but not destroyed. We are their best customers.


From China’s perspective, the pandemic showcased the superiority of their society, their system and their culture, while highlighting the inferiority of our own. The cheering crowds in Wuhan were meant to show the superiority of the Communist regime to that of the United States.


And to remind Chinese citizens not to long for the political and cultural freedoms of Americans.


Mutually Assured Destruction was based on the idea that neither side would be willing to flirt with destruction. But China’s biowarfare attack ‘nuked’ itself, before going on to cause destruction among the economies targeted by the Communist regime. The Communist grip on power had been based on this fundamental willingness to sacrifice millions for its goals. And while the Communist regime maintained its popularity by offering social mobility and consumer gadgets, its elite remain committed to that same genocidal maoist willingness to kill millions.


China’s biowarfare lab in Wuhan infected its own city before going on to release deadlier strains of the virus in Europe. The Wuhan release tested China’s own society and demonstrated the regime’s willingness to kill its own people in unknown numbers for the sake of the greater good.


All of this makes Communist China a deadlier enemy than the Soviet Union ever was.


The challenge of this century is how America can meet an enemy that is both seductive and ruthless, capturing our economy at the source and then killing us by the hundreds of thousands.


America has faltered in the face of the chaos weapons of terrorism and internet attacks. The biowarfare attack of 2020 proved to be even more effective at bringing down our society.


The American experiment departed from previous governing philosophies by not using government to manage chaos, but trusting to the people to do their own managing. Leftist movements met such open societies by exploiting their openness to spread chaos. The Soviet and then the Chinese Communist strategy was to boost the chaos with state sponsorship.


The stakes of the virus cold war are much the same as those of previous chaos campaigns. The fundamental question is whether we can defeat chaos assaults without turning into our enemies.


The Democrats met the pandemic, as they have met other crises in the last generation, by wishing that we were more like China. But a Democrat America would be a very poor man’s China, a nationwide California run by men and women lacking China’s nationalism, solidarity, and efficiency, while adopting its totalitarian technocracy with brutal incompetence.


America can’t beat China by becoming China. No more than it could beat Russia by becoming Russia. The only meaningful American victory is one that makes us a stronger America.


Europe and America have tried responding to the pandemic with government control. And we failed. Government is not our strength. The rule of experts is not what makes us great. The power of our people has been in individual initiative, in volunteerism, innovation, and the wisdom of crowds. That is what the Communists of every generation have feared about us.


Every time we respond to chaos with government, we become more vulnerable to chaos.


American resilience lies in our individuality. The Chinese endure collectively. We innovate individually. When the government takes away our individuality, we become third-rate Communists, outsourcing our products to China and demanding government handouts, while our government leaders party in pricey restaurants. We must become Americans again.


The only way America will survive this new coronavirus cold war is to reclaim its heritage.


We can survive and thrive on chaos, not because we are obedient collectivists like the citizens of the PRC, but because we are individuals who crowdsource solutions on our initiative.


This was a nation built on chaos. Americans not only built the first true free society, but they did it out of the refugees, exiles, and leavings of Europe. This was a nation built by individualists and nonconformists who tamed the wilderness and conquered the frontier. Government did not build this nation, as Elizabeth Warren and Barack Obama falsely claimed, pioneers built it.


Government can only destroy it.

U.S.A. – -(Ammoland.com)- “Covid camps? Put disease ‘carriers’ in DETENTION CENTERS, proposed New York law suggests,” RT News reported Saturday. “Authored by a Democratic member of the New York State Assembly N. Nick Perry, Bill A416 calls for the ‘removal and/or detention’ of individuals who are identified as a ‘case, contact or carrier’ of a contagious disease.”


RT News? Aren’t they Russian? Doesn’t that mean they have an anti-American agenda, and anyone citing them is being their dupe?


My experience with them has been they’re just as good – if not better – than our homegrown DSM (Duranty/Streicher Media). They gave a forum for friend and colleague, the late Mike Vanderboegh, and me to have our say on the subjects of the militia keeping tyranny in check, and on open carry (even if they did mispronounce my name), subjects no domestic establishment outlet want to present unless they control the narrative.






Still, some will no doubt cling to the logical fallacy of discrediting the report based on who the messenger is, so don’t listen to them; listen to the language of the bill itself:


“Upon determining by clear and convincing evidence that the health of others is or may be endangered by a  case,  contact or carrier,  or suspected case, contact or carrier of a contagious disease that, in the opinion of the governor, after consultation with the commissioner,  may pose an imminent and significant threat to the public health resulting in severe morbidity or high mortality, the governor or his or her delegee,  including,  but not limited to the commissioner or the heads of local health departments, may order the removal and/or detention of such a person or of a group of such persons by issuing a single order,  identifying such persons either by name or by a  reasonably specific description of the individuals or group being detained. Such  person or group of persons shall be detained in a medical facility or other appropriate  facility  or  premises  designated by the governor or his or her delegee…”


This being New York, determinations will be made by the same “authorities” who arbitrarily restrict some while the powerful celebrate; whose policies place some populations, such as the elderly in nursing homes, at extreme risk while releasing recidivist criminals back into the general population out of political “concern” for their safety; and who prioritize and value addicts over the productive.


It’s not like Americans aren’t starting to question the hell out of what their governments are telling them, especially when they see Covid “death counts” inflated when people testing for the virus pass on from other causes; when the accuracy of the tests themselves are in question; when reports of severe medical reactions are becoming more frequent; and when we see healthcare professionals – hardly doctrinaire “anti-vaxxers” –  are refusing the vaccine.


Clearly, there are plenty of questions that can’t be answered because no one really knows yet. But here is what can be answered, with certainty, if this obscene, tyrannical, and anti-American New York bill becomes enforceable law: Those are ultimately enforced at gunpoint. That means if you don’t want to go, they’re not giving you a choice. Likewise, if you want to leave the facility, expect armed “camp guards” to say “No.”


“Fortunately,” for New York, both Gov. Cuomo and Assemblyman Perry are both big advocates of what the totalitarian-minded like to call “commonsense gun safety laws.” Particularly, as Perry explains, against “weapons of mass destruction” (unless in the hands of enforcers, of course).


Any questions about who rules whom? Everyone is clear on where the raised fist originated?


Just make sure you wear your masks and practice social distancing when the “conductor” yells “All aboard!” to take you to the “detention center”!

Effort attracting support from Americans concerned about the safe administration of new experimental vaccines and possible mandates


Los Angeles, CA – With the approval of experimental COVID-19 vaccines raising new questions about safety, transparency, and unnecessary mandates, America’s Frontline Doctors (AFLDS) today announced the launch of its latest sound-science initiative, an online petition known as Stop Medical Discrimination. The petition, which is already earning support from more than 40,000 concerned Americans, urges policymakers and the private sector to guard against mandates that restrict freedom and infringe on patient privacy and choice.


The petition reads, “All people deserve medical privacy and equality. … People should never be pressured to comply with taking an experimental vaccine. This is becoming a very real danger. The coercion can be implemented by government regulation or through policy directives by large corporations, private entities, including airlines, employers, schools, and other institutions. Such mandates are unethical and would be an assault on Americans’ medical privacy.” AFLDS hopes to present the signatures to policymakers and private entities at a later date. So-called “vaccine passports,” test-and-trace systems, race-based vaccination directives, and similar public health requirements run afoul of medical ethics and present real threats to personal privacy as well as freedom of movement and association.

In a news briefing on Dec. 30, 2020, Ohio’s Governor Mike DeWine said that 60 percent of the nursing home staff in his state are refusing to get COVID-19 vaccines. According to surveys, health care workers in the United States have expressed fears of potentially dangerous side effects from the experimental vaccines and concerns about being used as “guinea pigs.”1 2 3 4


“I don’t have data in front of me, but anecdotally, it looks like somewhere around 40 percent of staff at nursing homes are taking the vaccines and 60 percent are not taking it,” Gov. DeWine said at the press conference.5


The refusals by nursing home staff in Ohio were made known to Gov. DeWine by the Ohio Health Care Association (OHCA) based in Lewis Center, Ohio. The association represents more than 1,000 long-term nursing care facilities. Its executive director, Pete Van Runkle, said that at some of the OHCA’s member facilities, all staff members received COVID-19 vaccines, while at other facilities only 20 percent of the staff agreed to get the vaccines.6


An article in Mahoning Matters reported:


Anecdotally, most of workers’ concerns are about safety—whether this brand new vaccine, which was brought to bear at unprecedented speed, has yet-unknown long-term side effects; specifically, an impact on the reproductive system.7


“We aren’t going to make them but we wish they had a higher compliance,” Gov. DeWine said. “Everyone makes their own choice about this but we want to make it clear that opportunity may not come back for a while.”3 8


Health Care Workers in California Reluctant to Get COVID-19 Vaccines


Ohio is not the only state in the country where a significant percentage of frontline are unwilling to receive COVID-19 vaccines. In Los Angeles County, California, between 20 and 40 percent of health care workers are declining the vaccines. In California’s Riverside County, approximately 50 percent of health care workers are refusing to get vaccinated. In Tehama County, more than 50 percent of the 700 health care workers at St. Elizabeth Community Hospital did not get COVID-19 vaccines when they were first offered.3 9


“I’m choosing the risk—the risk of having COVID, or the risk of the unknown of the vaccine. I think I’m choosing the risk of COVID. I can control that and prevent it a little by wearing masks, although not 100 percent for sure,” said April Lu, a nurse at Providence Holy Cross Medical Center in Mission Hills.3 10


New York City Firefighters Also Don’t Want COVID-19 Vaccines


Firefighters in New York City have joined health care workers in expressing reluctance to get experimental mRNA COVID-19 vaccines released for use in the U.S. under an Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) granted by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in December. About 55 percent of the 2,053 firefighters in New York City surveyed in December by the Uniformed Firefighters Association (UFA) said that they will refuse the COVID-19 vaccine, citing they did not want to be “test subjects” as their primary reason.11 12 13 14 15
