Sep. 22—New Mexico became the focus of national attention in 2018 when two men and three women were found living with 11 children in a makeshift compound north of Taos stocked with guns and ammunition, a firing range and a mysterious 100-foot tunnel.

Jury selection will begin Monday in U.S. District Court in Albuquerque, where attorneys from the U.S. Department of Justice counterterrorism section will attempt to show the five traveled to New Mexico from Georgia “to get an army together” and train them “to kill people for Allah.”

A federal criminal complaint charging the five in August 2018 contained allegations of terrorism and kidnapping, motivated by bizarre notions of “jihad,” exorcism and “black magic.”…

Authorities found 11 malnourished children and the remains of a 4-year-old boy in the tunnel. All but the boy’s father are facing federal charges of kidnapping and conspiracy to commit kidnapping….

A superseding indictment returned by a federal grand jury in March 2019 in Albuquerque identifies the five defendants as Jany Leveille, 40; Siraj Ibn Wahhaj, 45; Hujrah Wahhaj, 40; Subhanah Wahhaj, 40; and Lucas Morton, 45.

The charges include providing material support to terrorists, conspiracy to murder an officer or employee of the United States and illegal possession of firearms, and several conspiracy charges. Prosecutors on Thursday dropped the illegal firearms possession charge and one of the conspiracy charges….

The federal complaint alleges that Leveille became pregnant in Georgia about the same time that Siraj Ibn Wahhaj’s wife, identified as Jane Doe, also became pregnant….

Once in New Mexico, Leveille had planned “to perform an exorcism on him, to cast the demons from his body, after which he would come to life as Isa,” an Islamic prophet or messiah, the complaint said. Laveille believed Isa then would instruct the others “what corrupt institutions they needed to get rid of,” including military, law enforcement and financial institutions, it said….

In December 2017, the group collected at least 11 firearms and hundreds of rounds of ammunition in Georgia and drove them to a site in Taos County where they “built and maintained a compound” that included a “firing range and tactical training ground.”

Leveille admitted living at the compound from December 2017 to August 2018 with 11 children. During that time, Lucas Morton and Siraj Ibn Wahhaj “trained persons, including my minor children, in firearms use and tactical maneuvers.”…

I have no doubt that Menendez is as corrupt as the rest of the political establishment, so why is he being targeted now? It may be because he recently expressed “concerns” about the Biden regime sending six billion dollars to Iran for five hostages. The way the Biden regime operates, the “Justice” Department is a weapon to silence and destroy those who oppose it, however mildly.

That is not to say, however, that Menendez is any less a criminal than the rest of them. The fact that he has apparently been accepting bribes from a halal certification company is interesting. Years ago, Pamela Geller and I appealed to the FDA to require that halal meat be labeled as such, and even got a meeting with officials who assured us they would consider the issue carefully and get back to us. Of course, they never did, and a great deal of the meat sold in the U.S. today is halal but is not so labeled, Is Menendez one of the corruptocrats who is responsible for this?

U.S. Sen. Bob Menendez, a Democrat from New Jersey, has been indicted alongside his wife on bribery charges over their “corrupt relationship with three New Jersey businessmen,” federal prosecutors in New York announced Friday.

The businessmen allegedly bribed Menendez to benefit themselves and the country of Egypt. The indictment alleges that Menendez and his wife, Nadine Menendez, used the senator’s influence over foreign aid to accept bribes through a halal meat certifying company that scored a monopoly with the Egyptian government to certify imported meat.

After learning that the company was likely to become Egypt’s sole meat certifier, Nadine Menendez texted her husband: “Seems like halal went through. It might be a fantastic 2019 all the way around.”

In a statement, Sen. Menendez denied wrongdoing and said he “will not be distracted by baseless allegations.”…

The bribes allegedly included cash, gold bars, a luxury car, and more. During a search of their home, investigators found over $480,000 in cash stuffed into envelopes in closets and clothing, including jackets bearing Sen. Menendez’s name, according to the indictment….

Senator Bob Menendez has spoken out against federal bribery charges he received last week. The senator claimed that he has done nothing wrong and insists he will be exonerated.

During a press conference on Monday, Menendez (D-N.J.) stated that the more than $480,000 found at his house was from his personal savings account.

“I have withdrawn thousands of dollars in cash from my personal savings account, what I have kept for emergencies and because of the history of my family facing confiscation in Cuba,” Menendez said.

“Now this may seem old-fashioned but these were monies drawn from my personal savings account based on the income that I have lawfully derived,” he continued.

In addition to insisting he will be exonerated, the New Jersey senator refuses to resign.

“I recognize this will be the biggest fight yet, but as I have stated throughout this whole process, I firmly believe that when all the facts are presented, not only will I be exonerated, but I still will be New Jersey’s senior senator.”

Last week, both Menendez and his wife were indicted on federal bribery charges. He was accused by prosecutors of accepting “hundreds of thousands of dollars in bribes” in exchange for his influence. The sweeping 39-page indictment claimed that the couple accepted bribes in exchange for Menendez using his power as a U.S. senator to protect the interest of three prominent businessmen, while also benefiting Egypt’s government.

A Person of Color™ Democrat trying to distract from his indictment on federal corruption charges by complaining about alleged racism with no evidence? Who among us could’ve possibly seen this coming?

Menendez faces three counts, including conspiracy to commit extortion under color of official right, a charge for public officials who take bribes in return for official acts.

The indictment alleges the New Jersey senator provided sensitive U.S. government information to aid Egypt, sought to influence a pair of criminal investigations into two New Jersey businessmen and attempted to interfere with an investigation by the state attorney general’s office.

According to the indictment, the bribes included “cash, gold, payments toward a home mortgage, compensation for a low-or-no-show job, a luxury vehicle and other things of value.” Last year, Menendez added on his financial disclosure that his wife owned up to $250,000 worth of gold bars…

Prosecutors also noted that in a search of Menendez’s home, investigators found more than $550,000 in cash that was, in part, hidden in clothes.

How does the senator respond to such serious charges of official impropriety? The only way such people are trained to respond: “Muh white supremacy!”

Here is an excerpt from the public statement released by Menendez, in which he does his best Jussie Smollett impression, via the New Jersey Globe (emphasis added):

For years, forces behind the scenes have repeatedly attempted to silence my voice and dig my political grave. Since this investigation was leaked nearly a year ago, there has been an active smear campaign of anonymous sources and innuendos to create an air of impropriety where none exists.

The excesses of these prosecutors is apparent. They have misrepresented the normal work of a Congressional office. On top of that, not content with making false claims against me, they have attacked my wife for the longstanding friendships she had before she and I even met.

Those behind this campaign simply cannot accept that a first-generation Latino American from humble beginnings could rise to be a U.S. Senator and serve with honor and distinction. Even worse, they see me as an obstacle in the way of their broader political goals.

Obviously, let’s acknowledge that allegedly taking a quarter of a million dollars worth of gold bars to stash in your closet and hiding a half million dollars in your wardrobe in exchange for alleged government favors to business partners falls within the range of the “normal work of a Congressional office.” Claiming otherwise is basically domestic terrorism.

When you think of Jimmy Carter and his disastrous presidency, what’s the first thing that comes to mind? Galloping inflation? The energy crisis? The national “malaise”? Appeasement of the Soviets? Appeasement of the Palestinian jihadis?

All that and more can be said about Carter’s sorry record as president, topped only lately by the frankly anti-American Biden regime, but as far as the world’s worst and scariest philanthropist, Bill Gates, is concerned, none of that is President Cornpone’s greatest achievement. The Gates Foundation has just awarded Jimmy and Rosalyn Carter with a lifetime achievement award for their “near-eradication of guinea worm disease.”

No, I am not making this up. Atlanta’s WSB reported Wednesday that America’s second-worst president, Jimmy Carter, and his wife Rosalyn “have been awarded for their lifetime of philanthropy and leadership with a lifetime achievement award from the Gates Foundation.” By “philanthropy and leadership,” of course, the Gates Foundation means “sanctimony and globalism.”

The award that Mr. and Mrs. Peanut got is called the Goalkeepers Lifetime Achievement Award, and the Gates Foundation explained why they deserved this illustrious and coveted honor: “From the near-eradication of guinea worm disease to their work for peace and democracy, Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter’s trailblazing leadership has made a difference for the world. We’re thrilled to give them the Goalkeepers Lifetime Achievement Award.”

Well, yeah, Carter certainly has made a difference in the world. He weakened America on the world stage in what turned out to be the final stages of the Cold War, which his successor, Ronald Reagan, brought to a close by abandoning Carter’s policies of appeasement. He emboldened genocidal Palestinian jihadis by forcing Israel to accept the fiction of Palestinian nationality and make numerous other concessions in the widely and unjustly hailed Camp David Accords. He embodied pusillanimity as he adopted the pose of the self-righteous schoolmarm, scolding America to turn down the thermostat in response to a fictional energy crisis (created by a forest of regulations that Reagan cleared away, thus ending the crisis).

Political cartoonists of the day took to portraying Carter as a tiny man seated in a massive presidential chair; throughout his presidency, the conviction grew among Americans that he was just too small a man for the job. Thus it is fitting that Bill Gates would look up from his efforts to depopulate America and the world and decide that the great achievement for which Jimmy Carter ought to be remembered and honored is the “near-eradication of guinea worm disease.” Maybe it takes one worm to eradicate another.

After all, what else could the Gates Foundation say? That Carter emboldened and strengthened America’s enemies, as has nearly every president who has followed him into the Oval Office? That the “malaise” for which Carter wagged his finger at Americans has now become the official policy of the Biden regime? That regime appears bent on removing every source of comfort and happiness from American lives and leaving us riding stinking, jam-packed electric buses on the way home from our joyless jobs to our overcrowded, dilapidated, crime-ridden yet high-rent apartment blocks, where a revolting meal of bugs awaits us.

Carter set the ball rolling toward that dystopian future when he called upon Americans to swelter in the summertime and freeze in the winter so as to address a crisis he created. Half a century later, the America-Last successors of Carter are preparing to force Americans to take similar steps to solve the fake crisis of “climate change” as Merrick Garland’s Gestapo is poised to put dissidents on terror watch lists.

The father of the dystopia we already enjoy is Jimmy Carter, and so he is more deserving of an award from the sinister and dystopia-minded Gates Foundation than anyone else, with the possible exception of Old Joe Biden himself. But hey, there’s always next year to honor the conscienceless kleptocrat who now sits in the Oval Office.

If Gates does honor Old Joe, he could throw in a new award also: the Jimmy Carter Award, given to the president of the United States who damages the country the most while crowing about how much he has accomplished and smugly hectoring the American people to look up his works and hail him for his magnificence. Who would have thought that Jimmy Carter, of all people, would become the paradigmatic president in our Age of Absurdity? But here we are.

Mozambique: Muslims separate Christians from Muslims, murder at least eleven Christians

This is reminiscent of other incidents, including when a Muslim in Minnesota in 2016 asked mall shoppers if they were Muslim and then stabbed non-Muslims. Also in Mozambique in August 2023, Muslims abducted two fishermen, beheaded the Christian, and freed the Muslim.

In Uganda in June 2023, Muslims murdered 42 people at a school after asking for Muslims among students, saying they didn’t kill fellow believers. In April 2022 in Nigeria, Muslims stormed a brothel, telling people to recite the Qur’an, and murdering ten people who could not do. Also in Nigeria, in January 2022, a man recounted that Fulani jihadis stopped him and started beating him. Then they asked him if he was Muslim or Christian; when he said he was Christian, they intensified the beating. In Burkina Faso in November 2021, Muslims asked villagers if they were Christian or Muslim, then killed the Christians.  In Mozambique in June 2021, Muslims were hunting for Christians door-to-door. In the Philippines in February 2019, Muslims murdered a man for failing to recite Qur’an verses, while releasing six others who could recite them.

In Mali, Muslims screaming “Allahu akbar” took hostages, freeing those who could recite the Qur’an. In September 2013 at Nairobi’s Westgate Mall, Muslims murdered people who couldn’t answer questions about Islam. In June 2014, Muslims murdered people who could not pass an Islam quiz. In a Bangladesh restaurant in July 2016, the jihadis spared those who could recite from the Qur’an. In July 2017 in Kenya, Muslims asked Christians to “recite Islamic dogmas” and murdered them when they couldn’t do so. In May 2018 in Belgium, a Muslim who murdered four people told a hostage that he wouldn’t harm her since she was Muslim and was observing the Ramadan fast. In September 2018 in Kenya, Muslims murdered two non-Muslims for failing to recite the Qur’an.

“11 Killed as Islamist Jihadists Reportedly Target Christians in Mozambican village,” National Catholic Register, September 20, 2023:

At least 11 people were killed Sept. 15 after members of the Islamic State attacked a village in Mozambique and opened fire on Christians after hand-picking them from Muslims, the Catholic pontifical and charity foundation Aid to the Church in Need (ACN) International reported.

In a Sept. 18 report, ACN indicated that the terrorists arrived in the village of Naquitengue, located in Mocímboa da Praia district of the embattled Cabo Delgado province, in the early afternoon and summoned the villagers.

After separating the Christians from the Muslims, “based on names” to identify them, “they opened fire on the Christians,” the report stated.

The charity foundation has gathered accounts of those affected by the violence in the Mozambican district and said: “The reports are disturbing.”

Those who spoke to ACN recounted that Christians were “showered with bullets” in the incident.

“There are also records of burned houses and destroyed property,” ACN reported. “Hours later, on Sunday, the terrorist organization Islamic State claimed this attack, reporting 11 deaths, although the number of victims is expected to be higher, at least 12, with several injured.”

The Catholic entity further reported that the attack, which it described as “of enormous cruelty,” caused panic among the populations, who fled to the forests.

Friar Boaventura, a missionary from the Institute of the Fraternity of the Poor of Jesus (PJC) present in Cabo Delgado, confirmed to ACN the terrorists’ strategy to isolate Christians from others before executing them, noting that it was not the first time such an incident had happened in Cabo Delgado.

“This strategy has already happened in the past,” he said, adding that terrorists had already carried out attacks “with this same scenario” — that is, to “separate Christians from Muslims.”

The missionary told ACN that the Sept. 15 incident had left the population scared, adding that the attack occurred at a time when many people were beginning to return to their homelands….

Uganda: Muslims murder Christian evangelist for leading Muslims to Christ

NAIROBI, Kenya (Morning Star News) – Muslim extremists on Sept. 6 beat a 33-year-old evangelist to death for leading Muslims to faith in Christ at an event in eastern Uganda, sources said.

After the evangelistic event in Kituuti town, Philip Bere was pulled from his bicycle while returning to Katiryo, Kibuku District and killed when the assailants bashed him with a large rock, an eyewitness said.

Mudenya Sirasi, who had assisted Bere at the evangelistic event, was with him as the two neared Katiryo on the Kataka-Katiryo road. Sirasi said many people accepted Christ at the event, including Muslim women and two young Muslim men.

The two evangelists were ambushed at about 7:40 p.m., he said.

“We heard people talking from both sides of the road at a nearby bush saying, ‘They are the ones who converted our members today – they are not supposed to live, but to be killed,’” Sirasi told Morning Star News. “From nowhere, one man who was stationed in front of us grabbed our bicycle that we were riding on and hit Bere with a blunt object on his back.”

Bere fell as Sirasi jumped off the bike and entered a tunnel under a bridge, where he hid, he said.

“I could see the attackers brutally injuring my friend,” Sirasi said. “One of the attackers hit him with a big stone, and he bled to death.”

When the assailants left, Sirasi found the body of Bere in a pool of blood, he said. He alerted other area Christians and police, and officers took the body to a hospital for postmortem, Sirasi said.

The pastor of Bere’s church, unnamed for security reasons, said officers at the police station in Katiryo, Kibukuand took statements about the killing of the evangelist and that they were searching for the killers, who have gone into hiding.

“Our evangelist was killed because his passion for preaching the good news of Jesus Christ, especially to Muslims,” the pastor told Morning Star News.

Bere was well-known for his preaching among Muslims in Buseeta, Lwatama, Katiryo and other parts in eastern Uganda….

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has announced that it will be extending deportation protection for Afghan nationals.

On Thursday, the DHS announced it will be extending and designating Afghanistan for Temporary Protected Status (TPS). This allows refugees who have arrived in the United States in the last year deportation protection and work permits due to the conditions in Afghanistan. 

DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas said in a statement that the announcement allows them to provide safety to Afghan nationals. 

“Today’s announcement to extend and redesignate TPS for Afghanistan allows us to continue to offer safety and protection to Afghan nationals who are unable to return to their country,” Mayorkas said. “DHS will continue to support Afghan nationals through this temporary form of humanitarian relief.”

The decision comes amid military violence in Afghanistan, where the Taliban has regained control. The designation is usually based on conditions in the selected country and is based on one of three criteria, armed continuous war, environmental disasters, or “extraordinary and temporary conditions.”

Reportedly, extending TPS means that the estimated 3,100 people who have already been protected by past designations would get further benefits until May 2025. New refugees who arrived between March 2022 and Wednesday are eligible for the reclassification. 

The DHS has also reported that they expect around 14,600 more Afghan refugees will be admitted to the program. 

According to reports, many have raised concerns about the decision and have stated that the TPS authority has been abused and has drifted away from its initial intent and is now “anything but temporary.” 

Director of the Border Security and Immigration Center at The Heritage Foundation Lora Ries spoke to the press about how it is time for Congress to take back its authority.

“And all receive what they really want – work authorization,” she said. “It’s past time for Congress to take back its authority to determine who is authorized to work & narrow parole and TPS statutory text to align with Congress’ original intent.”

The move comes a day after the Biden Administration announced that they will be giving nearly half a million Venezuelans temporary residence and work permits.

Have you noticed that the time in between embarrassing moments for Joe Biden seems to be getting shorter and shorter? On Wednesday, Biden nearly knocked over the Brazilian flag while walking on stage before giving a speech launching the “Partnership for Workers’ Rights” program. Later, he gave an awkward salute to the audience while appearing somewhat lost before exiting the stage.

 

During a speech at a campaign event at the home of billionaire Amy Goldman Fowler later in the day, Biden told the story he’s been telling for years about why he decided to run for president in 2020.

Biden started by claiming that after leaving the office of vice president, he had no intention of running for office again.

But then along came, in August of 2017, Charlottesville, Virginia.  You remember those folks walking out of the fields literally carrying torches, with Nazi swastikas, holding them forward, singing the same vicious, anti-Semitic bile — the same exact bile — bile that was sung in — in Germany in the early ‘30s.  And a young woman was killed.  A young woman was killed.

And this was — and I re- — you may remember it.  There was a consequential piece of business going on.  And the former guy was asked, “What do you think would happen?”  He was the sitting president.  And he said, “I thought there were some very fine people on both sides.”

And I mean this sincerely, from the bottom of my heart, that’s when I decided I — I was going to run again.

Of course, the claim that Trump called neo-Nazis and white nationalists “very fine people” has long been debunked. But Biden is totally committed to this lie, telling it over and over and over again. In fact, he’s gotten so used to telling this bogus story that he ended up telling it again moments later.

“You know, you may remember that, you know, those folks from Charlottesville, as they came out of the fields and carrying those swastikas, and remember the ones with the torches and the Ku — accompanied by the Ku Klux Klan,” Biden said. “And in addition to that, they had — there were white supremacists.  Anyway, they were making the big case about how terrible this was.  And a young woman was killed in the process. And my predecessor, as I said, was asked what he thought.  He said, ‘There are some very fine people on both sides.’  Well, that kept ringing in my head. And so, I couldn’t, quite frankly, remain silent any longer.”

Both instances of the same story being told are preserved in the White House transcript.

Why is this important? Well, there’s been a concerted effort by the mainstream media to suggest that it’s unfair that voters are concerned about Joe Biden’s age but not Donald Trump’s. Chronologically, the two men may be only three years apart, but can anyone say that telling the same story in the same speech is normal? Whatever’s going on with Biden is getting worse.

New Jersey Democrat Senator Bob Menendez has been charged with a federal corruption indictment, making it the second set of corruption charges against him in 10 years. 

Menendez (D-N.J.) and his wife, Nadine, are accused of accepting “hundreds of thousands of dollars in bribes” in exchange for the senator’s influence, according to the newly unsealed federal indictment. 

The sweeping 39-page indictment claims that the couple accepted bribes in exchange for Menendez using his power as a U.S. senator to protect the interest of three prominent businessmen, while also benefiting Egypt’s government. 

Federal prosecutors in New York announced the charges during a press conference on Friday, adding that the investigation is “ongoing.”

“Today, I’m announcing that my office has obtained a three count indictment charging Senator Robert Menendez, his wife, Nadine Menendez, and three New Jersey businessmen, Wael Hana, Jose Uribe and Fred Daibes for bribery offenses,” U.S. Attorney Damian Williams said at a press conference late Friday morning. 

The list of charges against the couple includes conspiracy to commit bribery, conspiracy to commit honest services fraud, and abusing his power in office. 

The indictment alleges Menendez and his wife received bribes that included “cash, gold bars, payments toward a home mortgage, compensation for a low-or-no-show job, a luxury vehicle and other items of value.”

Menendez responded to the indictment in a statement.

“For years, forces behind the scenes have repeatedly attempted to silence my voice and dig my political grave. Since this investigation was leaked nearly a year ago, there has been an active smear campaign of anonymous sources and innuendos to create an air of impropriety where none exists,” he claimed. 

The indictment revealed that in 2022, federal agents carried out searches at Menendez’s residence and safe deposit box, discovering nearly $500,000 in cash. 

Some of this money was reportedly hidden in envelopes within jackets bearing Menendez’s name. 

Prosecutors assert that some of those envelopes carried the fingerprints or DNA of one of the business associates allegedly involved in providing bribes to the senator.

During the search, federal investigators also found a “luxury vehicle, paid for by [Jose] Uribe,” parked in the garage. 

As Menendez gears up for re-election next year, these charges have cast a shadow over his political future. The senator has been a fixture in the Senate since 2006.

Back in 2015, I watched a one-minute video of Muslims connected to the Islamic State (“ISIS”) breaking crosses inside and from atop churches. Because the video had for some days been going viral on Arabic social media, I, in an effort to bring Westerners up to speed with Muslims—to show them the same things Muslims around the world were watching—uploaded it onto YouTube.

YouTube’s reaction was swift and terrible: deemed “inappropriate,” the video was taken down and my YouTube account temporarily suspended.

Recently, however, while doing some research for another article, I found the video YouTube sought to bury and loaded it onto Rumble: view here (special thanks to Aymenn Jawad al-Tamimi).

"Break the Cross!"

The video shows Muslims doing what Muslims have been doing from the dawn of Islam to the present moment: breaking the cross in emulation of their prophet, who always broke the cross whenever he came upon it (per canonical Bukhari hadith). As such, and according to the caption provided by ISIS on the video, Muslims were “purifying” the ancient Christian region of Nineveh, Syria, of its “symbols of polytheism,” which included not just the crucifix but Christian icons and statues, all of which the jihadists smashed.
Such behavior, it should be noted, is immensely commonplace. Hardly a few days go by without some cross throwing some Muslims somewhere into a fit of rage (most recently, a soccer player’s cross).

Indeed, just a few weeks ago in Pakistan, thousands of Muslims rioted after some Christians were accused—as usual, falsely—of desecrating a Koran. The rampaging Muslims set 25 churches aflame and desecrated at least one Christian cemetery. Discussing this savagery, the Rev. Deacon Daud Irshad observed:

I saw with tears in my eyes how the mob desecrated crosses on the roofs of the churches and in graveyards and ruined church buildings. They burnt so many Bibles and altars…

Videos of these “every day” Pakistanis breaking the cross (which, interestingly, are allowed to be on YouTube, here and here) are very reminiscent of the “terrorist” behavior of ISIS (who, as we are forever told, “have nothing to do with Islam”).

While one can point to many other recent examples of Muslims attacking churches and destroying crosses all around the Islamic world, it is enough to note that this same exact savagery has become commonplace even in the West, where churches and crosses are routinely attacked by Muslims. At any rate, if you wish to know what millions of Muslims around the world feel towards the cross of Christ—at least those who seek to follow their prophet’s example of breaking the cross—be sure to view the one-minute video that YouTube censored.

Controversial Imam Out as Head of Muslim Federation Imams Council

Izhar Khan, Imam of the radical Margate, Florida-based Masjid Jamaat Al-Mumineen (MJAM), is out as Ameer (President) of the South Florida Muslim Federation’s (SFMF) Council of Imams. Earlier this month, the group elected Abdul Hamid Samra, the Imam of the Islamic Center of Greater Miami (ICGM), to replace Khan, the Federation’s first Ameer. Whatever the reason for the group not continuing with Khan as its head, the fact that someone like Khan would be able to serve in such a position, while being linked to terrorist financing and a mosque that promotes bigotry and violence, is a direct reflection on SFMF, itself.

In May 2011, Khan was arrested and spent 20 months in a federal detention center for his alleged participation in a scheme to ship $50,000 to the Pakistani Taliban to be used to kill US troops. The indictment against him said he worked with members of his family to “collect and deliver” funds to the terror group, “knowing and intending that they be used in preparation for and in carrying out… a conspiracy to murder, kidnap, and maim persons in a foreign country.” While the first judge in the case said the evidence against Khan was “compelling,” a later judge released Khan from custody, citing lack of evidence. Khan’s father, Hafiz, would be convicted.

Since before his arrest, Khan has been serving as the imam of MJAM. Today, MJAM’s website contains an online library that can only be described as wall-to-wall intolerance and brutality. Within this library, one finds material denigrating Jews, Christians, and Hindus, sanctioning domestic violence against women, glorifying female genital mutilation, encouraging jihad (holy war), and mandating death punishments for gays. One MJAM text, Tafsir Ibn Kathir, states “Allah forbids His believing servants from having Jews and Christians as friends because they are the enemies of Islam and its people, may Allah curse them.”

The Imams election was held at a restaurant and was attended by a dozen local Muslim religious and community leaders, including SFMF President Samir Kakli, who in October 2020, called for the release from prison of Hamas fundraisers affiliated with the terrorist charity, Holy Land Foundation (HLF). One of the imams participating at the election meeting was Shafayat Mohamed, the founder and Imam of the Darul Uloom Institute (DUI), a past haven for high-profile al-Qaeda operatives. Mohamed has been thrown off numerous community boards for his hate-filled talks against homosexuals.

Interestingly, Khan was absent from this month’s election proceedings. This was in stark contrast to the previous month when he led a panel discussion on health for the Imams Council. A photo from the panel discussion depicts Khan arm-in-arm with Kakli, as other imams also stand and pose next to Khan. Not long ago, Khan, Kakli and other Federation imams enjoyed wakeboarding excursions together. No doubt, these South Florida Muslim leaders embrace Khan.

The leaders’ acceptance of Khan is hardly surprising given the composition of the Muslim Federation, as it is little more than an umbrella organization for the majority of South Florida’s extremist Muslim institutions. This includes Islamist groups related to terrorism, such as the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA), and Islamic Relief (IR). All of the imams from the Federation’s Council of Imams represent radical mosques.

Prior to Kakli taking over as President of the Federation, SFMF was led by Nezar Hamze, an ex-official for the Hamas-linked CAIR. SFMF’s social media was being conducted by Abdurahman al-Ghani, who used Facebook to refer to Jews as “the children of Satan”; the US as the “World’s Number One Terrorist Organization”; and gay Muslims as “stone cold kaffirs outside the fold of Islam.” Al-Ghani encouraged his followers to violently “wipe out the CIA.” In September 2012, he promoted a graphic from dead al-Qaeda leader Anwar al-Awlaki with the message, “Allah is preparing us for victory.” In November 2012, he posted, “We love u Hamas. U are the real hero.”

The South Florida Muslim Federation named Izhar Khan as the President of its Council of Imams not ignoring Khan’s fanatical background, but welcoming and appreciating it. And just because Khan is no longer the head of the Council, does not mean that anything will change.

In fact, Khan’s replacement, Abdul Hamid Samra, has his own extremist resume. In March 2018, Samra, who also serves as a Muslim Chaplain at the University of Miami, was the Conference Chairman for a Miami conference organized by the Muslim Brotherhood-related Islamic Society of North America (ISNA). Indeed, Samra’s ICGM mosque, a.k.a. Muslim Communities Association of South Florida (MCA), is affiliated with ISNA. Furthermore, the mosque property is owned by ISNA’s asset holder, the North American Islamic Trust (NAIT).

ISNA was co-founded by former Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) leader Sami al-Arian. Al-Arian created a Tampa-area PIJ network and was convicted of providing material support to PIJ. A December 1987 declassified FBI memo about NAIT leadership states that there is evidence for “their support of JIHAD (a holy war) in the U.S.” Both ISNA and NAIT were named co-conspirators by the US Justice Department for the Hamas financing trials prosecuting leaders of the Holy Land Foundation terrorist charity. When HLF was established in 1987 as the “Occupied Land Fund,” it used ISNA’s official mailing address as its own.

As well, the two imams, Samra and Khan, are close with one another. The two have participated in events together, and in December 2017, Khan was honored by ICGM at its ‘A Light for Humanity’ celebration, where Khan sat facing the congregation along with Samra and fellow ICGM imam, Roshan Ali.

The South Florida Muslim Federation will continue to be the radical institution it always has been, and its Council of Imams will do the same. The only action that will ever deter these entities is if the government and the American public wake up, see these groups for the threats they pose to national security, and shut them down.

There are an awful lot of strange things about the war in Ukraine. Here’s another one.

The New York Post reported matter-of-factly Monday that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy “headed to Staten Island University Hospital on Monday to visit his country’s wounded soldiers after he landed in the Big Apple for this week’s United Nations General Assembly.” It was presented as a heart-warming story: the Commander-In-Chief gives a morale boost to those who have been wounded in defense of the nation, and everyone goes away feeling inspired.

But wait. Why are the Ukrainian wounded in a hospital on Staten Island, instead of, say, Kyiv, or Odessa? It seems an awful long way for a wounded person to have to travel for treatment. Yet the Post offers no explanation of why they’re there, how they got there, or what the implications of their being there might be. Sky News offered raw footage of the event but no further explanation.

The Post says that Zelenskyy “thanked Ukrainian fighters receiving treatment at the hospital and even helped one soldier out of his wheelchair and to his feet as the two took a photo together.” And even more inspiring, “during his visit, Zelenskyy handed out commendations to the injured soldiers, some confined to wheelchairs and others with prosthetic limbs.”

While he was there, “he also toured the facility” and gave “a short address to the soldiers in the room.” That was when the inspirational content of this story reached its height, for Zelenskyy “reportedly issued the country’s battle cry, ‘Glory to Ukraine’ with soldiers replying ‘Glory to the heroes’ in Ukrainian.”

Gee, that’s swell, but when did Staten Island become part of Ukraine? Did Zelenskyy buy it with all the billions that the Biden regime has been shoveling his way?

Michael Dowling, whom the Post identifies as “the CEO of Northwell Health, which owns Staten Island University Hospital” offered a clue to this curious scenario when he said that “18 Ukrainian soldiers have received treatment at the medical center since March.”

That leads us to an ABC News story from March 30, which informs us that “a U.S.-based nonprofit is providing life-changing prosthetic limbs to Ukrainian soldiers who were wounded while defending their country against Russian forces. In just a few months, Kind Deeds has helped 11 soldiers receive and get fitted with prostheses.” The story adds that the soldiers were being treated at Staten Island University Hospital.

Dowling explained, “We have an obligation to help with the situation in Ukraine as much as we possibly can. It’s our privilege to help any way we can.” The executive director of Staten Island University Hospital, Dr. Brahim Ardolic, added that “the soldiers want to get back to serve their country.”

He said, “We’ve rarely seen patients that are this much wanting to get better to go back to help. It’s really incredible to see how passionate you all are about getting better so you can go back and help your country. It really is something that is an inspiration to all of us.” In the same spirit of warmth and commendation, Zelenskyy “also presented awards to hospital staff.”

Zelenskyy is in New York to speak at the UN, and while he is in the country, he also plans to pay a visit to his piggy bank: “Later this week, Zelenskyy plans to meet with President Biden and congressional leaders in Washington, D.C. in a bid to secure more assistance from the U.S. as Russia’s invasion of Ukraine approaches 20 months.”

And of course, he will get it as America’s infrastructure continues to crumble and Americans are increasingly squeezed by the financial burden of taking care of everyone in the world who has any problems.

It is unlikely that Zelenskyy and Old Joe will discuss the wisdom of the U.S. getting ever more involved in the war in Ukraine and thereby also inching ever closer to a world war. American taxpayer money is bankrolling the war in Ukraine, and wounded Ukrainian soldiers are being treated in the United States (paid for by a charity, apparently), and no one seems concerned about the bigger picture at all.

So relax. There will never be any consequences for America’s actions, and the money will never run out. Glory to Ukraine! Glory to the heroes!

EXCLUSIVE — Sens. Marco Rubio (R-FL) and Ted Cruz (R-TX) are raising concerns over PayPal, the multinational technology company, processing payments for an anti-Israel charity with Palestinian terror group affiliations.

PayPal has begun handling donations for the Arizona charity Alliance for Global Justice, which has come under fire from Congress and watchdog groups for being linked to the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine terror group, following the two software companies Salsa Labs and Stripe jumping ship. Congressional Republicans are now vowing investigations into PayPal, which doesn’t allow entities to use its services for “the promotion of hate, violence, racial, or other forms of intolerance that is discriminatory or the financial exploitation of a crime,” according to its policies.

“Paypal should obviously and immediately cut ties with any group linked to Palestinian terrorism,” Cruz told the Washington Examiner. “Big Tech companies are not exempt from American laws or reputational risk from boosting terrorism.”…

Islamic Republic of Pakistan: Police tell Christian churches to ‘hire private guards, we cannot protect you’

Many of the police share the faith and outlook of the attackers and are more sympathetic to them than they are to the victims of these attacks.

August was one of the worst months in recent years for the number of assaults to Christian churches in Pakistan, with dozens of places of worship burned or demolished.

Besides arresting Christians for having allegedly provoked the rioters, the Pakistani police has now found a solution for this crisis, and a simple one.

Having inspected an area of Karachi notorious for sectarian conflict, and visited places of worship of different religions, the police issued on September 10, 2023,  “Security Directions for Churches” (mosques are not mentioned).

The police recommends (or rather orders, since “strict compliance” is required), that

“Private security guards be deployed outside the main gate of the church along with metal detector equipment.” Details are as follows: “Private security guard will be deployed on the roof bunker especially made as the backup for gate security. Walk through gates to be installed on the entrances of church. All the windows of churches to be covered with iron grill. CCTVs to be installed inside and outside the premises of churches and must be of great quality such as 6 MP / Night Vision with 15 days minimum back up. Walls of the churches must be fenced properly to avoid any untoward incident.”…

What the document says, in so many words, is that the Pakistani police is not capable or perhaps not willing to protect Christian churches. Christian taxpayers should hire and pay private guards. The police would check who these guards are—perhaps to make sure they are not “too” effective.
