55% of Republicans ‘Back Potential Use of Force to Preserve American Way of Life’

A new George Washington University survey reveals divided sentiments about using force to preserve America’s way of life.

U.S.A. –-(AmmoLand.com)- A stunning George Washington University poll conducted in June revealed that “Over half of Republicans (55%) supported the possible use of force to preserve the ‘traditional American way of life,’” while also finding that 47 percent of Republicans think there may be a time when “patriotic Americans have to take the law into their own hands.”

Another finding listed in the survey is that Republicans are far less likely (21%) than Democrats (83%) to say that “changing the nation’s gun laws is very or somewhat important.”

As reported by The Hill, “support for principles like free and fair elections, free speech and peaceful protest was nearly unanimous among Democratic and Republican voters.”

However, The Hill also noted, “Republicans were significantly less likely to have a strong amount of faith in local and state elections. Eighty-five percent of Democrats expressed trust in local election officials, with 76 percent saying the same of state officials, compared to 63 percent and 44 percent, respectively, for GOP voters.”

What this survey actually accomplished was to show the continuing, and perhaps widening divide between Democrats and Republicans on gun rights, and how political partisans disagree in their understanding of what the Second Amendment is really about. As grassroots gun rights activists repeatedly remind one another on social media, it’s “not about duck hunting.”

Considering the reductions to police departments in some major cities over the past year—a result of the “defund police” movement and an apparent decline in morale among police officers due to what they see as a lack of support from elected officials—it probably should not be surprising to see an increasing number of citizens concerned about having to act as their own first responders in life-threatening emergencies.

Amid the turmoil of 2020 and continuing into this year, gun sales have continued briskly in many parts of the country. Some estimates have put the number at 8 million new, first-time gun owners have joined the firearms community.

Back in April, The Hill reported on another survey, this one a Morning Consult-Politico tracking poll, that found 64 percent of registered voters support stricter U.S. gun laws, while 28 percent do not.

Alarming to gun rights activists, that survey also found 46 percent of respondents “said that limiting gun ownership was more important than protecting the Second Amendment, while 44 percent said that gun ownership rights were a higher priority.”

In May, Pew Research released a report citing eight “key facts about Americans and guns.” This poll also illustrates the divide between party philosophies on the Second Amendment.

According to Pew, the eight points are:

  • Around half of Americans (48%) see gun violence as a very big problem in the country today.
  • Attitudes about gun violence differ widely by race, ethnicity, party and community type.
  • Roughly half of Americans (53%) favor stricter gun laws, a decline since 2019.
  • Americans are divided over whether restricting legal gun ownership would lead to fewer mass shootings.
  • There is broad partisan agreement on some gun policy proposals, but most are politically divisive.
  • Americans in rural areas typically favor more expansive gun access, while Americans in urban places prefer more restrictive policies.
  • More than four-in-ten U.S. adults (44%) say they live in a household with a gun, including about a third (32%) who say they personally own one.*
  • Personal protection tops the list of reasons why gun owners say they own a firearm.

(*There is an interesting aspect to this question on gun ownership, and it came up recently in an Elway poll conducted in Washington State. When survey participants were asked whether anyone in their household owned a firearm, 42 percent said “yes,” 44 percent said “no,” but a sizeable number (14%) declined to answer. It is becoming more frequent that gun owners refuse to answer such a question because they do not believe it is anyone’s business whether they own a gun. Washington, incidentally, is a state with about 7.3 million residents, and there are currently more than 625,000 active concealed pistol licenses in circulation. That translates roughly to about one in nine or ten adults in the state who are licensed to carry, and roughly 20 percent of them are women.)

Among the prickliest of issues may be that 80 percent (or more) of Democrats “favor creating a federal database to track all gun sales and banning both assault-style weapons and high-capacity ammunition magazines that hold more than 10 rounds, majorities of Republicans oppose the proposals,” Pew said.

However, 72 percent of Republicans “support allowing people to carry concealed guns in more places and allowing teachers and school officials to carry guns in K-12 schools (66%)” Pew added. Democrats, on the other hand, are largely opposed. Only 20 percent support broader concealed carry and 24 percent supported the idea of armed teachers.

The George Washington University poll revelations about the differences between Republican and Democrat responses underscores the concern American gun owners have about the push to change the nation’s gun laws and make them more restrictive under Joe Biden, Kamala Harris and the Pelosi-Schumer Democrat majority on Capitol Hill.

The political landscape could change dramatically in November 2022, largely driven by those concerns. Between now and then, however, activists will have their hands full blocking the gun control schemes that have already been introduced, and those yet to be revealed.

To the Twitter heads, it’s acceptable to harass Jewish people, but lay off mere criticism of the mRNA vaccines.

According to a Times of Israel report, entitled “Why celebrities keep quoting Louis Farrakhan — despite his anti-Semitism”:

Farrakhan, 87, is known for his anti-Semitic and homophobic rhetoric. He has praised Hitler, accused Jews of controlling the US government and railed against what he calls the “Synagogue of Satan.”

But he’s also known for empowering Black activism, organizing social service programs in low-income Black neighborhoods and advocating for Black self-reliance decades after he organized the 1995 Million Man March, a rally that brought hundreds of thousands of Black people to Washington, DC.

Maybe so, but helping one group while inciting hatred and violence against another group is appalling and dangerous. It does not help that hatred against Jews is backed by Islamic texts. Those who are obedient to normative Islamic ideology follow these hateful and inciting words. This important fact is often ignored, at a high cost.

The Nation of Islam, an extremist antisemitic group ran by Louis Farrakhan, was banned from Twitter for criticizing mRNA vaccines.

Twitter previously declined to ban Farrakhan’s personal account or the group account for their routine harassment of Jewish people.

Twitter moved to ban the account last week after being targeted for promoting “misinformation.” In reaction to the ban, a high-ranking member in the group tweeted, “Unsurprisingly, Twitter, Inc. has suspended The Nation of Islam’s official account: @OfficialNOI.”

A report cited by the White House this month said that 12 Twitter accounts are responsible for 65 percent of supposed anti-vaccine content. One of the 12 listed was Rizza Islam, a Nation of Islam member. While Twitter took action against the group after perpetual mRNA vaccines criticism, it remained silent on its previous anti-semitism.

A Twitter spokesman did not respond to a request for comment.

Nation of Islam has a history of attacking Jews and making incendiary comments. Farrakhan said at a speech in 2018, “the powerful Jews are my enemy” and “white folks are going down. And Satan is going down. And Farrakhan, by God’s grace, has pulled the cover off of that Satanic Jew and I’m here to say your time is up, your world is through.”

In 2018, Farrakhan tweeted a video clip of a speech where he compared Jews to termites and called them stupid. He captioned the video: “I’m not an anti-Semite. I’m anti-Termite.”….

Secret Iran plans to hack infrastructure in Western countries revealed

Ever since Joe Biden began dropping Trump’s sanctions against Iran, disturbing news has been emerging about Iran’s emboldening in numerous areas. Now comes news that “five secret documents allegedly showing Iranian plans to hack infrastructure in Western countries, including in Europe.” Leaked documents that were obtained by Sky News were “actual internal planning documents for Unit 13, the cyber unit of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.” Iran has been developing a cyber army of highly trained specialists and hackers since 2010.

If successful, Iran’s ability to hack into Western infrastructure is worrying, especially given the billions now freed up for the Iranian regime’s expansion.

Five secret documents allegedly showing Iranian plans to hack infrastructure in Western countries, including in Europe, were publicized by Sky News late Monday night.

Although there have been reports of such hacks by Iran and others in the past, it is unusual for a media organization to obtain actual internal planning documents for Unit 13, the cyber unit of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.

Some of the potential hacks the IRGC cyber group might be planning would target a cargo ship’s ballast water system, which could cause irreparable damage, according to the report.

The ballast water system helps balance a ship in certain circumstances by pumping water into special tanks. Tampering with the system could harm this crucial process.

Another Iranian plot might be to hack the automatic tank gage of certain gas stations, which could stop the flow of gas or, in a worst-case scenario, cause an explosion, the report said.

The 57 pages of documents also described attempts to hack maritime communications devices.

Sky News interviewed UK Defense Secretary Ben Wallace, who talked more generally about the kind of threats described in the documents. He said the allegations were serious and did not deny them.

The documents described early stages of planning for a cyberattack, but they did not clarify how far along the plans were, an anonymous source said in the report.

It was unclear who leaked the documents, but the leak appeared to be designed to embarrass Tehran before European countries to potentially influence their views on a range of issues regarding Iran…..

(Natural News) Fake “president” Joe Biden has decided that it is perfectly legal for the government and private businesses to force employees against their will to get injected with experimental gene modification chemicals for the Wuhan coronavirus (Covid-19).

Biden’s Justice Department concluded in a new opinion that there is no federal law barring either the public or private sector from requiring people to get jabbed with the drugs, which currently hold “emergency use authorization” (EUA) from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

The decision came about after the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, the state of California, and New York City all decided to require that some of their workers either get “vaccinated” for Chinese Germs or agree to weekly testing for the rest of their lives.

Veterans Affairs, ironically enough, was the first federal agency to mandate the lethal injections, negating the brave efforts of actual veterans who fought overseas in years past – and some of them paid the ultimate price with their lives – to stop this type of medical fascism from ever encroaching on our borders.

The Office of Legal Counsel at the Department of Justice (DOJ) issued a letter stating that because access to Fauci Flu shots is now widespread, “numerous educational institutions, employers, and other entities across the United States” have chosen to mandate Chinese Virus shots as a condition of staying employed.

“For instance,” the letter reads, “certain schools will require vaccination in order for students to attend class in person, and certain employers will require vaccination as a condition of employment.”

Wuhan Flu shots shouldn’t even have EUA in the first place, but Biden’s Justice Department couldn’t care less

It is important to note that since other remedies for the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill Virus already exist, there was never any legal precedent in the first place for the FDA to grant EUA to Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna, and Johnson & Johnson (J&J) for their respective injections.

If the Justice Department was really devoted to pursuing justice, it would be shouting this fact from the rooftops and calling on the FDA to immediately revoke all EUAs for the Fauci Flu shot. Instead, the agency under China Joe says there is nothing to “prohibit public or private entities from imposing vaccine requirements, even when the only vaccines available are those authorized under EUAs.”

By giving this green light, the expectation is that other federal agencies will soon follow suit, along with at least some segments of the private sector. Institutions of “higher learning” all seem to be falling right in line as well, requiring their students to undergo experimental gene therapy in order to get an education this fall.

“Public sector entities need to move as quickly as possible,” shouted New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio, who eagerly announced his own citywide mandate that all public sector workers will need to either get jabbed or submit to weekly testing with fraudulent PCR tests.

“This DOJ decision is important,” de Blasio added. “I think that will be helpful. We have got to put pressure on this situation.”

Up until this point, the federal government has limited its involvement with the plandemic to targeting travel and public transportation, both of which are still restricted to masked people only. De Blasio would seem to want that involvement to now extend to compulsory Fauci Flu injections.

“We need to rise up and say enough is enough,” wrote one frustrated commenter at The Epoch Times.

“What is it going to take to get Americans riled up enough to demand this communistic taking away of freedoms day-by-day to stop? It is shocking what we are tolerating.”

If you were told right now that you could avoid having trillions of sticky protein particles in your blood forever, would you do more research to find out how?

On July 27, border agents in the Rio Grande Valley Border Sector apprehended more than 800 illegal aliens, Customs and Border Patrol reported. Last week, RGV border chief Brian Hastings announced this mind-boggling datum: Agents apprehended 20,000 migrants.

Worse still, the relentless, marching army of illegals carries the China Virus and is likely infecting Americans. Once across the border, Biden will let them stay — forever.

24 Hours, 845 “Migrants”

CBP bagged 845 illegals on July 27, the agency announced the next day.

Near La Grulla, Texas, they “encountered a group of 336 migrants as they walked from the Rio Grande into the United States, which, at the time, was the largest group encountered this summer,” CBP reported.

The group supposedly included all “family members” except for eight unaccompanied children. 

The illegals “suffered from dehydration and exhaustion,” hardly a surprise in mid-July.

One would think the heat and the rugged terrain would deter them, but alas, Biden’s offer of asylum — and jobs, free food, free medical care, and free everything else — is too hard to pass up. 

The illegals are mostly Guatemalan, but included Hondurans, Nicaraguans, and Salvadorans. 

Agents ran into a larger group of invaders that evening near Hidalgo. They collared 509; 331 “family members,” 115 unaccompanied children, and 63 single adults. 

“These apprehensions account for the single largest group apprehended thus far, this year,” CBP reported:

RGV Sector began tracking large groups in 2007 and last night’s encounter is by far, one of the largest to date. This group consisted of migrants from El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Ecuador and Venezuela.

The irresponsible mass migration has forced agents to rescue more than 700 of the future Democrats this year.

One Week

One frightening measure of the invasion came in Hastings’ tweet of July 25:

It’s the hottest part of the summer and apprehensions are skyrocketing! 

#USBP Apprehensions surpassed the 1-million milestone in June.

NOW — this week alone — #RGV has apprehended more than 20K illegally present migrants.

That would be 2,857 illegals per day for the seven days. Border-wide for June, when the total for fiscal 2021 passed one million, agents apprehended 6,294 per day. That daily total might increase considerably when CBP releases the figure for July.

As The New American reported earlier this month, if the pace set in June continues through September 30, agents will catch another 579,048 by September 30, the last day of fiscal 2021. Total apprehensions will be almost 1.7 million.

The terrifying Camp-of-the-Saints deluge is frightening not just because of sheer numbers. Many illegals are infected with the potentially deadly China Virus, and the Biden regime is dumping them into unsuspecting communities.

On July 26, as TNA reported, cops in La Joya apprehend a bunch of coughing, sneezing illegals at a Whataburger. They admitted they had the virus.

Understandably, local officials are furious and want Biden to stop the dumping, as does Senator Ted Cruz (R-Texas) and others.

“At the border, illegal aliens are being put in cages with others who are COVID positive, spreading COVID, & then releasing COVID in our communities,” Cruz tweeted of Biden’s policy. “This is lunacy.”

It isn’t lunacy for the Democrats.

They hope to use mass Third World immigration to upend the demographics of the country. Most immigrants vote for Democrats. Once they displace the white majority, the party will cement its power forever.

A memo issued by Thomas Manger, chief of the U.S. Capitol Police (USCP), ordered officers on the House of Representatives side of the Capitol Building to arrest staff and visitors who refuse to wear a mask in defiance of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s (D-Calif.) new rule reinstating mandatory masking in the chamber.

“Any person who fails to either comply or to leave the premises after being asked to do so would be subject to an arrest for Unlawful Entry,” the memo reads.

Per the memo, officers are not to arrest members of Congress, but they are to report the noncompliance of lawmakers to the House’s sergeant-at-arms.

News of the policy came from Representative Kat Cammack (R-Fla.), who said she received a copy of the memo from an unnamed officer at Thursday morning’s roll call. Cammack claims police she’s spoken to about the matter are “very uncomfortable” with the order.

The congresswoman herself called the directive “tyrannical.”

“This is such an overstep of Speaker Pelosi’s authority to basically make our Capitol Police arrest staff members and report on members [of Congress],” Cammack told Fox News. “It’s absolutely unconscionable that this is where we’re at.”

“Although this applies to the Members of Congress, officers should not arrest any Member for failure to wear a mask or to comply with the mask mandate,” the guidance states. “Any Member who fails to comply with a request to wear a mask should be reported to the House Sergeant at Arm’s office.”

Lawmakers’ exemption from the arrest order over masks may be due to the protection given them under Article 1, Section 6 of the Constitution.

“[Senators and Representatives] shall in all Cases, except Treason, Felony and Breach of the Peace, be privileged from Arrest during their Attendance at the Session of their respective Houses, and in going to and returning from the same,” the Constitution reads.

The new mask policy in the House comes on the heels of recently updated guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), which, in light of the COVID-19 Delta variant, says that even those who have been vaccinated should now return to wearing face masks.

CDC Director Dr. Rochelle P. Walensky put the blame on the unvaccinated. “The most important thing that we need to say right now is we have a lot of this country that has a lot of viral burden that’s driven by a lot by people who — and mostly — by people who are unvaccinated. Those are the people driving the new infections,” she said.

Republican members of the House have voiced their opposition to the new policy, which also advises that police officers must wear a mask at all times while indoors. 

“If you are a Capitol police officer you got orders … if a vaccinated staffer comes across in the House side without a mask you’re ordered to arrest them, but not on the Senate side,” House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) said. “This is not the America we know.”

Kammack declared that “This is the people’s house, not Nancy Pelosi’s house.”

Representative Steve Scalise (R-La.) wrote on Twitter: “Pelosi is directing police to ARREST vaccinated people who aren’t wearing masks. This isn’t about science — it’s about power and control.”

But Pelosi’s office claimed it was not the Speaker who ordered the arrest of the non-compliant, stating that it’s outside her power.

“The speaker of the House does not control the U.S. Capitol Police,” Pelosi spokesperson Drew Hammill said to Fox News. “We were unaware of the memo until it was reported in the press.”

Manger, the new police chief, stepped into leadership at a time when Capitol Police are in the spotlight amid the House’s investigation into January 6 — which Democrats claim was an insurrection orchestrated by President Trump and his allies.

Fears about a COVID-19 surge fanned by the media has led governments around the world to crack down on their populations and aggressively push for widespread vaccination.

In various countries, such as France and Italy, governments have restricted entry to public venues such as swimming pools, shopping malls, restaurants, and movie theaters to the unvaccinated. Israel has taken it a step further, banning people from worshipping in synagogues unless they have either a certificate of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis on Friday announced that he would issue an executive order defying the federal government’s new masking recommendations for school children. The order will direct the Florida Department of Education and the Florida Department of Health to promulgate emergency rules giving parents the authority to decide whether their children will wear masks when they return to school next month.

“I want to empower parents to make the best decisions they can for the well-being of their children,” DeSantis told a crowd during a press conference at a Cape Coral restaurant.

Now there’s a novel idea: letting parents, rather than the government, decide what’s best for their own personal children.

In case there was any doubt where Gov. DeSantis stands on further COVID mandates, he declared: “There will be no lockdowns, there will be no school closures, there will be no restrictions and no mandates in the state of Florida.” The crowd roared its approval.

 

On Tuesday, the CDC updated its COVID-19 guidance to advise masking in indoor settings for the unvaccinated, which includes children under the age of 12 who are not yet eligible for the shot, and, remarkably, for those who have been vaccinated if they live in areas with high infection rates.

CDC recommends all unvaccinated persons wear masks in public indoor settings. Based on emerging evidence on the Delta variant (2), CDC also recommends that fully vaccinated persons wear masks in public indoor settings in areas of substantial or high transmission. Fully vaccinated persons might consider wearing a mask in public indoor settings, regardless of transmission level, if they or someone in their household is immunocompromised or is at increased risk for severe disease, or if someone in their household is unvaccinated (including children aged <12 years who are currently ineligible for vaccination).

We’ve been saying here at PJ Media for months that Dr. Fauci, the Democrats, and the media have been the most prolific vaccine deniers in the country. Recommending that vaccinated individuals continue to mask flies in the face of everything they’ve been saying about the efficacy of the vaccines and ignores the science on the vaccines’ efficacy. Either they work or they don’t. If they don’t, and we must continue to mask, why are they urging—and in some cases forcing—people to take the jab? Is it any wonder that so many Americans don’t trust these people with their health?

“Floridians have been, are, and will remain free to choose what’s best for themselves and their families and we will protect their right to work, will protect the right of businesses to operate, and we will protect the right of our kids to attend school in person,” the governor continued.

He noted that Florida was the only large state that had widespread in-person schooling for the entire last school year, but lamented that a majority of school districts required masks. He cited a Brown University study comparing outcomes in Florida, Massachusetts, and New York, which concluded that there was “no correlation” between case rates and mask mandates in K-12 schools.

“We can say, in Florida, for the 2020-21 school year, that the districts that did not require masks did not perform statistically different from those that did,” he explained. Private and charter schools that didn’t require masks had similar outcomes.

“CDC’s position is that every single student, every single staff member, every single teacher must be masked at all time,” despite the fact that many of the students have already recovered from COVID-19 and the vaccine has been available to staff for months. DeSantis explained that much of the current wave of the virus moving through the state is driven by young people who are not getting very sick and are developing immunity. He said it’s “frustrating” that the government is pushing vaccinations while at the same time continuing to require masking. “What message does that send?”

DeSantis said he’s also frustrated that there seems to be no end in sight for the mandates. “There’s no off-ramp. We were told that the off-ramp was vaccination. Now we’re told that that’s not going to be the case and now you’re going to have to do masking, you may have to do restrictions and other severe forms of mitigation that will have a devastating impact on so many people’s lives and livelihoods and freedoms. So CDC’s policies, by doing this so hamhandedly by not looking things like this Brown study, it really shows a callous disregard for the physical, emotional, and academic well-being of our children,” he said. “They need to be put first. We had this whole year and a half where so many people in society wanted to put kids last. They wanted to impose most of the extreme mitigation on the kids that were the least likely to face any negative harm from this and, obviously, who were in very developmental stages where this could do a lot of potential damage. The forced masking, it has harmed students.”

“Last month I signed HB 241, the Parents’ Bill of Rights. The bill prevents any institution from infringing on the ‘fundamental rights of a parent to direct the upbringing, education, health care, and mental health of his or her minor child.’ I think this decision about whether parents want their kids to have to wear masks all day in school, I think that’s a decision that falls squarely within the contours of this Parents’ Bill of Rights that I signed, and so, accordingly, very soon, I will be signing an executive order which directs the Florida Department of Education and Florida Department of Health to issue emergency rules protecting the rights of parents to make this decision about wearing masks for their children. We think that that’s the fairest way to do it. ”

“You know, I have young kids,” he said. “My wife and I are not going to do the masks with the kids, we never have. I want to see my kids smiling. I want them having fun.”

“And the question is, shouldn’t this be something the parent is best to evaluate the effect that this has on their children? Why would we have government force masks on our kids when many of these kids are already immune from prior infection, there is virtually zero risk of serious illness, and when virtually every school personnel, they’ve had access to vaccines for months and months,” DeSantis argued.  “I want to empower parents to be able to make the best decisions they can for the well-being of their children… we need to make sure that the parents’ rights are protected. The parents have to come first.”

Is it any wonder Americans from blue states are flocking en masse to Florida? The state has beautiful weather, stunning beaches, and the scent of freedom in the air—thanks to Gov. DeSantis, who has been one of only a handful of governors with the courage to stand up to the fearmongering and anti-science mandates.
