MARXIST-INFLUENCED LOS ANGELES TEACHERS UNION CALLS FOR DEFUNDING THE POLICE (Friday Church News Notes, July 24, 2020, www.wayoflife.org, fbns@wayoflife.org, 866-295-4143) - A fundamental part of America’s destruction is the radicalization of the public schools, which have become humanistic brainwashing centers. A major factor was the introduction of Darwinianism in the first half of the 20th century. The radicalization is illustrated by the United Teachers Los Angeles, a union of 35,000 teachers and administrators. They are making the following demands before the schools can reopen: charter schools must be closed (these totalitarians don’t want to grant “minorities” a choice in education), police must be defunded, medicare-for-all and new taxes on the wealthy must be enacted (UTLA.net). We agree that the Los Angeles schools should not be reopened until those demands are met. Hopefully that will mean they will be closed permanently. We stopped supporting the public schools in America nearly 50 years ago, when the situation was not nearly as nutty and wicked as it is today. “And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them” (Ephesians 5:11).

TRANSSEXUAL ANTIFA ACTIVIST SAYS THEY ARE ORGANIZING FOR THE ABOLITION OF THE UNITED STATES (Friday Church News Notes, July 24, 2020, www.wayoflife.org, fbns@wayoflife.org, 866-295-4143) - At a news event outside the federal courthouse in Portland, Oregon, an Antifa activist got applause from the crowd, including a Catholic priest, when she said she is organizing for the abolition of the United States. “My name is Lilith Sinclair, and I am an Afro-Indigenous non-binary local organizer here in Portland, organizing for the abolition of not just the militarized police state, but also the United States that we know” (@MrAndyNgo, July 19, 2020). (Non-binary refers to transsexualism.) Sinclair also identified herself as a “sex worker.” Antifa has been rioting night after night for two months in Portland, causing tens of millions of dollars in damage and many bodily injuries, including the vicious assault of a street preacher. Daryl Turner, head of the Portland Police Association, said, “The elected officials have condoned the destruction and chaos.” The Democratic city government refuses to let the police arrest the leaders and shut down the riots, trying to shift blame to federal agents who are tasked with guarding federal property. Ultimately, Antifa is at war with God and His holy laws, and that is a no-win situation. We recommend repentance toward God and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ before it is too late. According to the infographic, ‘whiteness’ includes cultural aspects like ‘Rugged Individualism’ and the ‘Family Structure’ (including the nuclear family, the husband as the breadwinner, and the wife as homemaker and subordinate to the husband). An ‘emphasis on the scientific method’ is supposedly part of ‘whiteness,’ including three bullet points: ‘Objective, rational linear thinking;’ ‘Cause and effect relationships;’ and ‘Quantitative emphasis.’ ... Will the endless virtue-signaling wokism of the Democratic Wing of the Southern Baptist Convention ever come to an end? It probably won’t so long as Southern Baptists continue to fund their anti-Trump PAC with their financial offerings. But boy, is it obnoxious.

The Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission (ERLC) – an entity owned by the SBC which was a conservative denomination only a decade ago – just posted an article by Brooke Kramer, a super-privileged white girl who serves as a receptionist in the ERLC ‘s bloated beltway office. She’s one of the many unnecessary staffers who comprise 61% of the ERLC’s insanely wasteful budget.

Why are spoiled 19-year-old girls being published at the SBC blog, anyway?

And like most sorority girls with White Guilt-complexes who just completed classes in gender studies, she signals virtue with flare.

So get this nonsense:

Kramer’s article has the following thesis: COVID-19 is prejudiced against black people, so churches need to give minorities money, research racism, and fight for “justice.”

While the brainwashed young woman includes a single caveat that the Kung Flu may not be epidemiologically racist, she claims that minorities suffer more from the virus than anyone else. That’s not the controversial part (poor people have worse personal hygiene and generally take poorer care of themselves).

Kramer wrote the necessary disclaimer to keep her from being endlessly ridiculed prima facie…

Obviously, COVID-19 does not discriminate based on ethnicity. But the coronavirus has had an immense effect on the health of ethnic minorities in the United States, exposing a deep imbalance in our healthcare system. 

Alright, good acknowledgment; germs aren’t bigots (unlike those eternally-damned white monsters who don’t support socialized healthcare). But, you know…that ethnic minorities have COVID at higher rates has to be an indication of systemic racism, somehow.

Blacks also have a higher rate of STDs, AIDS, and Type-2 Diabetes – all issues that are prevented by personal care, not healthcare. But they don’t teach privileged white girls how to do logic in college, apparently.

No, no! The SBC’s Democratic Wing suggests that higher COVID-19 rates among minorities are because black folks can’t help but sneeze and breathe on each other because they’re disadvantaged (note: this argument is not racist because of the suggestions she goes on to offer). You know, they live in urban areas, don’t have jobs where they can telecommute, etc.

These conditions are, to Strawberry Snowflake, caused by racism. In typical public-edumucation fashion, disparity means racism, with not a single thought as to any other underlying problems within the community. All roads lead to racism.

Kramer’s solutions to this problem, of which she expertly lectures the 14 million Southern Baptists who pay her salary, is threefold:

First, pray (novel idea, thank you).

Secondly, give black folks money. She writes…

During this time of economic hardship, many are struggling to make ends meet. For those of us who are able to work from home or are still seeing steady paychecks, we can be generous with our money. 

Third, read about racism and the fight for “justice,” especially from black authors. Strawberry Snowflake writes…

Finally, we can spend time learning about the experiences of ethnic minorities in our communities. We can read books and articles from Black authors and research the history of racism and how it was codified into law. We should also celebrate the American heroes who worked toward justice in our country and study how they did it.

What does coronavirus infection rates have to do with racist laws? No idea. What are these racist laws? Again, I have no idea. This ERLC secretary doesn’t bother to tell us what these “racist laws” are. They just, you know, exist somehow, somewhere.

How does reading about the fight for “justice” help black people with COVID-19 in any real or tangible way? It doesn’t. It literally doesn’t help at all. But again, logic isn’t taught during sorority pledge week.

She concludes…

We cannot settle for anything less than justice for all in our country. It is our calling as citizens of heaven and the United States to fight for truth, justice, righteousness, and peace, to the glory of God and for the good of our neighbors.

What the #)%&*#)& #)@*%)@#* #)@%&*) have to do with COVID-19? What does it have to do with infection rates? How can you quantify disparities in infection rates among ethnic groups with systemic racism?

Of course, you can’t do any of these things. They’re nonsense. But a better question for Southern Baptists should be how the @#%@ does this garbage get published on the denomination’s website? Or better yet, how does Russell Moore still have a job?

Last Month, Southern Baptist President JD Greear called on his church and other Southern Baptist churches to join them in anti-government anti-police protestors who called for such drastic measures as defunding the police and the destruction of historic statues in the North Carolina State Capital of Raleigh. The protests, led by Greear’s associate pastor, Mike Georges, was dubbed “Protest and Pray” and Georges, along with others, sported official Black Lives Matter gear featuring George Floyd’s infamous words, “I Can’t Breathe.”

These protests were encouraged by leftists, including the state governor, Roy Cooper, who was seen marching alongside these protestors breaking his own executive order and not wearing a mask. But Greear and his church gathered in mass gatherings as well not to worship corporately with their local church and body of believers, but to protest the government.

Now, amid the coronavirus and renewed calls for lockdowns due to a spike in cases which were caused by these mass protests of last month by Greear’s church and others, Greear says his church will not meet again for corporate worship this year…at all.

According to Summit Church’s official COVID-19 information page,

For the remainder of the year, we will not gather in person at our campuses on the weekend. Our plan is to equip you to be the church in your homes, in your communities, and online in order for you to continue being disciple-making disciples. So even when you can’t come to church, you can still be the church. 

Replacing actual corporate worship and discipleship with online talks while neglecting fellowship with the saints and personal interaction from pastors is not church. Pastors cannot lead their flock if they don’t see them. There is no interaction — a key component of fellowship. There is no pastoral relationship. Greear is essentially turning his flock over to the pagan culture indefinitely and failing to lead his church.

In another awkward Joe Biden interview, the presidential candidate reminisced about nurses who cared for him by whispering in his ears and by breathing into his nostrils.

“I had nurses at Walter Reed hospital who would bend down and whisper in my ear and go home and get me pillows,” Biden said. “They would make sure, they’d actually… probably nothing ever taught in… you can’t do it in the COVID time, but they’d actually breathe in my nostrils to make me move, to get me moving.”

As Biden’s cognitive decline is broadcast on national television leading up to the 2020 election, this will likely not be his last gaffe.

NETFLIX: “BABY-SITTERS CLUB” EPISODE PROMOTES TRANSGENDERISM

The Netflix series “The Baby-Sitters Club,” based on the 1980’s and 90’s preteen books written by author Ann M. Martin, has included transgenderism in one of its storylines, depicting the main character, Mary Anne Spier, coming to accept — and eventually defend — a young boy who believes he is a girl.

According to reports, “The Baby Sitters Club” dramatization noticeably takes liberties with its content, adding to what is depicted in the books — from even more obvious feminist mindsets, to the mention of a menstruation sculpture, to the inclusion of a “spiritual practitioner” a.k.a. witch, to a citation of the dating site Tinder and the film “The Handmaid’s Tale.”

Along those lines, episode four, “Mary Anne Saves the Day”, wades out into further politically-correct waters.

In the episode, Mary Anne receives a phone call from one of her father’s co-workers, who requests that she babysit his child, named Bailey.

When Bailey needs a change of clothes during a play tea party, his sitter learns that the nine-year-old was actually born male but identifies as female.

“These are my old clothes,” he explains to Mary Anne, who is befuddled at first by his comment about the attire in his closet.

She reaches out to her friend Dawn about the matter, who then tells her, “[I]f someone tried to make you do everything with your left hand, it would be super weird; right? That’s how Bailey feels. The same way that you know that you’re right-handed, Bailey knows she’s a girl … We all want our outsides to match our insides.”

During one visit, Bailey later develops a high fever, and Mary Anne takes him to the hospital.

However, as medical staff refer to the child as a boy, Mary Anne comes to his defense, stating that “from here on out,” the hospital should “recognize her for who she is.” She also reportedly insists that they bring Bailey a pink gown as blue is a boy’s color.

Bailey is played by 10-year-old Kai Shappley, who in real life is a boy who identifies as a girl.

While some have applauded the episode as teaching others how to be an “ally” for those who identify as transgender, others see the broadcast as indoctrination and sinful influence, as it promotes a mindset that contradicts the law and creation of God.

“As a young woman, I am disappointed to see a show that will be viewed by many young and impressionable girls espousing such harmful views — without so much as a question about the consequences of these ideas,” wrote Arielle Leake, a policy and government Affairs intern at the Washington-based Family Research Council.

“Instead of giving young girls a proper view of what it means to be a woman, ‘The Baby-Sitters Club’ presents womanhood as something that is merely a product of your feelings and not a God-given identity,” she lamented.

“In a world that is becoming increasingly accepting of transgender ideology, parents should be cautious about the ideas being espoused in the media their children consume. Christians have a role to play in restoring an understanding that humans are a unique combination of both body and soul, which equally make up who we are and are not at war with each other.”

The program is rated G, meaning that it can be viewed by those of all ages, including young children.

In Matthew 19:4, Jesus pointed back to the Book of Genesis, stating, “Have ye not read that He which made them at the beginning made them male and female …?”

2 Corinthians 5:15 also teaches, “He died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves but unto Him which died for them and rose again.”
