A Fordham University student who was kicked off campus for posing with a legally owned firearm won't be allowed back without an escort.

Austin Tong, a rising senior who posted a picture of himself on Instagram holding an AR-15 rifle with the caption, "Don't tread on me," in commemoration of the Tiananmen Square massacre, said that a "KGB overseer" would have to escort him to and from classes if he wants to return to campus in the fall.

"Fordham graciously offered me a realistic historical simulation of being overseen by the Soviet secret police," Tong told the Washington Free Beacon. "This just exposes the sensitivity of Fordham and colleges on safe speech, resorting to extreme means to make sure students stay in line."

Tong filed a lawsuit against Fordham on July 23 alleging that the university violated its own free speech policies when it disciplined him for posing in "non-threatening social media posts on Instagram." The suit demands that the school lift the sanctions, which require him to leave campus indefinitely, apologize for the picture, and undergo implicit bias training.

Fordham argued that the photograph ran afoul of its commitment to combating bias and hate crimes. Tong, a Chinese immigrant, said he will not apologize for the photo because it does not pose a threat to his peers.

In response to the lawsuit, Fordham withdrew its restraining order against Tong pending the court's ruling. It also said that it would not require an apology note or implicit bias training before Tong's return to campus but claimed that it was reasonable to require him to be escorted by a public safety officer to and from his on-campus destination. In addition, Tong must seek permission 48 hours in advance of his arrival.

Fordham did not respond to requests for comment.

Tong told the Free Beacon that he will not return to campus despite the withdrawal of the restraining order. "I'm probably not going back to campus," Tong said. "I don't think [the school or my peers] want to see me either. Frankly, it's not safe."

A video translated by RAIR Foundation USA reveals a distraught woman in Lampedusa, Italy complaining about illegal migrants squatting on her land even after she repeatedly tries to report the problem to authorities. In addition to the “mattresses,” “bottles of alcohol,” and “excrement everywhere,” Rosy Matinais explains that the Muslim migrants have eaten all of her animals, including dogs, with the exception of pigs.

Ms. Matinais, a farmer who lives off the crops on her land, earns her living from raising farm animals. “They have eaten chickens, the goats, the dogs,” she said. “I can’t have any more animals. I only have pigs.” The illegal migrants ate four of her dogs by skinning them and grilling them, she explained.

According to Italian newspaper ilgiornale.it, her father purchased the property on the island in 1967. Lampedusa, Italy, at the southernmost part of Italy, has become an epicenter for the socialist-driven illegal migrant invasion. The tiny island, an Italian tourist destination, has a population of about 6,000. There have been times when the migrants outnumbered the citizens. Socialist Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte “reversed [former Deputy Prime Minister Matteo] Salvini’s immigration stance when he came to power,” as reported at RAIR.

“I make reports to the Guardia di Finanza, the mayor [Totò Martello], the assessor, and the director of the center. You tell me if I can’t be the owner of my land?” she laments. Rosy’s requests for help have not only been ignored by politicians but also law enforcement officers.

The local report explained that the migrants harassed her and her daughter. “We asked the police for help,” she was quoted as saying. “They told us that migrants are untouchable. They do what they want ”

Rosy lamented that if her father was alive he would have “used the shotgun” on the migrants squatting on their property. She further expressed her anger at the Mayor Totò Martello for not helping the situation.

Despite ongoing reports of migrants eating citizens’ pets, the mayor posted on Facebook that her accusations are “fake news.” In the meantime, Rosy appears to be without her four dogs and has been abandoned by those elected to protect her.

As reported at RAIR last month, a 23-year-old migrant was scolded by a woman for skinning and cooking a cat openly on a sidewalk near the Campiglia Marittima train station Livorno, Italy. “This poor creature, look here, Shame! Shame! You should go back to your own country,” the woman exclaimed.

Hundreds of migrants have been landing daily in this beautiful Southern Italian coastal town that survives on tourism. Rosey and her native Italians have been failed by left-wing politicians pushing open border policies at all costs. Not only are these elected leaders turning a deaf ear to the unspeakable problems citizens are facing but they smear anyone who goes public with their stories.

Armed sheriff’s deputies are manning checkpoints across New York City, as well as the airport and bus and train stations, wanting to know where you’ve been and where you’re going. The checkpoints have been initiated to slow the spread of the coronavirus, which has hit New York City harder than any other major U.S. city.

I’m sure the deputies are very polite and apologetic, but is it really necessary to pull people aside or out of their cars and ask them questions that are none of the government’s business?

NBC News:

Drivers heading into Gotham via the tunnels and bridges were pulled over at random. Commuters arriving at Penn Station and the Port Authority were scrutinized. And visitors disembarking at area airports were being required to fill out forms and provide contact information.

The questions from the deputies and other officials at the COVID-19 checkpoints were always the same: Where have you been? Where are you headed?

The display of muscle was aimed at enforcing New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s travel order, which requires people who have spent at least 24 hours in the dozens of states (and Puerto Rico) where the coronavirus has been spreading like wildfire to quarantine for 14 days after arriving in the area.

The order includes New Yorkers returning home, which is probably not going over very well.

Yes, there is a public health interest in trying to stop the spread of the coronavirus, but at what cost?

New York City Sheriff Joseph Fucito said his deputies, backed by other law enforcement agencies, “will undertake traveler registration checkpoints at major bridge and tunnel crossings into New York City.”

“The entire team will strive to ensure the deployment balances the critical public health and welfare needs of the residents of the city with the legal protections entitled to all people,” Fucito said.

Those “legal protections” include the right to privacy, but that doesn’t appear to have entered Mayor de Blasio’s thinking. Tucker Carlson thinks de Blasio’s order treats New Yorkers like refugees in a war zone with checkpoints.

Fox News:

“Today, de Blasio announced that he plans to encircle the entire city with military-style checkpoints, not to stop violent criminals, but to prevent people from visiting from other places,” the “Tucker Carlson Tonight” host said. “There was no public discussion of this ahead of time, there was no debate. De Blasio just decreed it.”

The message to New Yorkers? Sit down, shut up, and obey.

Carlson added the move sends a troubling message to New Yorkers and reinforces what many were forced to learn as a result of Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s failure to protect nursing home residents.

“The people who make the worst decisions … never face consequences for those decisions,” the host said. “Only you do, so shut up and show us your papers, peasant.”

This just in from Fox News: The owners of Atilis gym in Bellmawr reopened on Saturday morning by

kicking down the wooden barricades authorities used to block their entrance amid coronavirus restrictions.

Co-owner Ian Smith posted a video of himself and his business partner, Frank Trumbetti, kicking the barriers and entering as a crowd cheers their decision. The dramatic display indicated that the months-long standoff between Gov. Phil Murphy and the gym owners wasn’t finished.

The Philadelphia Inquirer offered this take:

Owners of the Atilis Gym in Bellmawr kicked down the plywood boards covering their business’ doorway on Saturday morning and ushered in dozens of clients for workouts, the latest move in a monthslong standoff with government officials over New Jersey’s coronavirus-related restrictions.

Owners Ian Smith and Frank Trumbetti allowed 40 to 50 customers to work out in the gym at once, which Smith said was less than 25% of the building’s capacity. As customers waited in line Saturday morning, many said they couldn’t wait to get back to their regular workouts.

In May, a judge ordered Atilis Gym to close its doors after the Camden County fitness facility reopened last week in defiance of the state’s coronavirus shutdown orders.

Rob Tornoe of The Philadelphia Inqurer wrote then:

In a temporary ruling released Friday night, Superior Court Judge Robert Lougy granted a request from the New Jersey Department of Health to place temporary restraints on Atilis, directing the Bellmawr gym to remain closed to the public until the state allows businesses designated as nonessential to reopen. Lougy set a hearing date of June 8.

Today, according to Tornoe:

Smith acknowledged it was likely that law enforcement would soon arrive to force them to close again, as has happened several times since Atilis reopened in May. And at a meeting Tuesday, Bellmawr officials will consider revoking the gym’s business license, according to a letter Smith received.

“Gov. Murphy has weaponized the police force against us over and over,” Smith said. “I think he looks foolish, the way he’s treating us — he’s pulling out all the stops. You have to ask, how far will one man go to destroy a small business?”

MINNEAPOLIS POLICE TELL RESIDENTS TO SURRENDER TO CRIMINALS & “BE PREPARED” TO GET ROBBED

The Minneapolis Police Department told residents last week that they should “be prepared” to surrender their belongings to criminals and obey their commands.

With Minneapolis experiencing a 46% increase in carjackings and a 36% increase in robberies compared to this same time last year – thanks to the far-left city council all but defunding law enforcement – MPD has issued a citywide email warning residents not to resist the emboldened criminals.

“Be prepared to give up your cell phone and purse/wallet,” the police said in their email, adding that citizens should listen to criminals and “do as they say.”

Notably, MPD makes no suggestion for residents to exercise their Second Amendment right to self-defense.

South Minneapolis resident Steve Taylor, who moderates the city’s Uptown Crime page, pointed out the hypocrisy of the Democrat city council protecting themselves with private armed security while stripping the city of much-needed law enforcement.

“What we’re hearing again and again is people don’t want less public safety, they want better public safety,” Taylor said. “When (City) Council has their own armed security and community members are being robbed at gunpoint often in broad daylight, that just seems unfair.”

“I think we need more police. Of course, we need reformed police and better police that police all of Minneapolis equally, keep everyone equally safe from violent criminals,” he added.

As we’ve reported, many police precincts nationwide kneeled in solidarity with Black Lives Matter protesters who want to see them defunded, and in some cases killed.

Similarly, other Democrat-run cities like Chicago and New York, which have also called for defunding their police, are experiencing skyrocketing crime and violence in 2020.

In New York, for example, shootings have spiked by nearly 50% and homicides increased by 21% compared to the same period last year.

And Chicago experienced its most violent day in 60 YEARS in June when 18 people were killed in less than 24 hours, which Mayor Lori Lightfoot blamed on “gun violence” despite the city having some of the strictest gun control measures in the country.

Minneapolis Police Department Advises Citizens to Capitulate to Criminals

The Minneapolis Police Department (MPD) is advising citizens of the city to “Be prepared to give up your cell phone and purse/wallet,” in the event that they are accosted by a criminal. The advice comes as the city is experiencing a 37-percent increase in robberies over last year in the wake of the death of Minneapolis criminal George Floyd, who died in police custody in May.

The department’s “robbery prevention tips” were circulated by KSTP-5, an ABC affiliate located in St. Paul. Among other bits of wisdom, the department advised citizens: “Despite all our efforts, robberies may still occur! Do not argue or fight with the criminal. Do as they say. Your safety is most important!”

In the third precinct — where the Floyd incident occurred — police have responded to 100 robberies and 20 carjackings in July alone. Police report that cellphones, purses, and vehicles are being stolen and also relayed that victims have been assaulted, maced, dragged, and threatened with guns in those incidents.

The Hennepin County Police and Fire monitoring account on Twitter mocked the advice and Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey, tweeting: “Look, another email on how to be a perfect victim in #MpsCrime just came out, but wait @MayorFrey says Minneapolis is a safe vibrant place.”

Perhaps the MPD is just giving the public a taste of what life will be like without them after the Democrat-dominated City Council voted in June to disband the city’s police department and replace it with a yet-to-be-defined “community-led public safety system.”

The defund and abolish the police movement has been strongly pushed by the neo-marxist Black Lives Matter organization. But actual black leaders in Minneapolis have called the plan to abolish the city’s police force “egregious, grotesque, absurd, crazy, ridiculous,” according the Minneapolis Star Tribune.

Some black leaders in the community have lashed out at the City Council’s decision. Civil-rights attorney Nekima Levy Armstrong, a former president of the NAACP’s Minneapolis chapter, complained that the council didn’t take the wishes of the city’s black community into consideration when they voted to do away with the police.

“They have shown a complete disregard for the voices and perspectives of many members of the African-American community,” Armstrong said. “We have not been consulted as the city makes its decisions, even though our community is the one most heavily impacted by both police violence and community violence.”

Though Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey has gone on record saying that he does not support a total disbanding of the city’s police department, he has taken responsibility for the decision to evacuate the Third Precinct station, which allowed rioters to torch the building on May 28. That incident — maybe more than any other — signaled the city’s helplessness in dealing with rioters. The burned-out Third Precinct headquarters is symbolic of the city’s capitulation to criminals. Frey is culpable for that.

One Third Precinct crime victim who chose not heed the police department’s advice to simply acquiesce to the criminals in the city was 99-year-old Evelyn Johnson, who fought back after an attacker entered her home through a back window and covered her head with a blanket.

“I think he was surprised,” Johnson said. “He thought he was just going to cover my mouth and smother me, but that didn’t happen. I fought him. We wrestled for quite awhile according to my bruises.”

The attacker eventually wrestled Johnson into a bathroom and shut the door. The criminal escaped with approximately $40 and an iPad.

“I’m am surprised to think that I’m 99 years old and was able to work off that strong young man,” said Johnson, whose hearing aid was broken in the fight. “God was with me.”

But according to the MPD, Johnson was wrong to fight. She should have just meekly surrendered and hoped that the criminal who attacked her would choose to allow her to live after the robbery.

The advice given by the MPD is actually not uncommon. Many police departments and victim-advocacy groups give basically the same advice to someone being mugged or robbed — some version of “your wallet is not worth your life, so it’s better to just give in.” But it’s a message that emboldens criminals, who are far more likely to attack when they don’t fear that victims might defend themselves.

Aren’t such situations part of what the Second Amendment is all about?

If history has taught us anything it’s that weakness — or the perception of weakness — invites aggression. Minneapolis has signaled its capitulation to rioters and criminals over and over again. Is it any surprise that criminals are now taking advantage of that?

In a shocking video, which has been circulating on social media, a man stops his car and gets out before hurling abuse at the youngsters.

During the heated exchange on the side of the road in Kermanshah, Iran, he says to the girls ‘I’ll f*** your mother’ and claims their behaviour is ‘immoral’ while a police officer appears to do nothing about the incident.

Wearing a hijab has been compulsory for women in Iran since the Islamic revolution in 1979, a rule which is enforced by the state’s morality police.

The video shows, as tensions between the man and the teenagers grow, the man’s wife gets out of the car and says ‘apologise to my husband so he won’t hit you’.

The woman informs them that her husband is from the intelligence services and could get them arrested.

After the man spits in the girls’ faces, another woman wearing a hijab pushes him.

A police car arrives shortly afterwards but the officer watches from afar and the teenagers scream: ‘Officer, why aren’t you doing anything?’

Masih Alinejad, an Iranian journalist who has been campaigning against the compulsory hijab law, shared the video with her 195,000 followers on Twitter.

The girls sent the video to Alinejad and told her they decided to film the incident after it was clear the police were not going to help them….

SEATTLE: “PEACEFUL PROTESTERS” ATTACK POLICE STATION, WOUND 59 OFFICERS

Rioters and barely peaceful protesters attacked a police station and wounded 59 officers in Seattle on Saturday, the very weekend a new law took effect that severely curtails the non-lethal measures police may use to quell riots.

Worse still, the city police chief warned the City Council and city residents and business owners to expect the mayhem given the effect the anti-cop ordinance passed in June would have.

Cops collared almost four dozen of the unhinged radicals, who bombed a police station and tossed rocks and explosives at cops, one of whom landed in the hospital.

In addition to declaring war on cops, the ordinance also promised to reward rioters who sue the city.

Saturday Madness
Two posts to the Seattle Police Department blotter describe the mayhem in detail.

Around 4 p.m., about a dozen rioters who had gathered near the city’s Cal Anderson Park and Central College set fire to portable trailers and other equipment at a nearby construction site, and also smashed car windows in the areas, cops reported.

Then the revolutionary mob began breaking windows on 12th Avenue and marched to the department’s East Precinct:

There, several people emerged from the group and began spray painting and attempting to disable security cameras and a fence perimeter around the precinct.

At least one person breached the precinct’s fence line. Moments later, a device exploded leaving an 8-inch hole in the side of the precinct.

After the unprovoked attack on the police building, cops declared a riot and ordered the crowd to disperse, the blotter reported.

Instead, the thugs threw bottles and balloons filled with liquid and shot mortar fireworks and tossed explosives at officers, who in turn used pepper spray, blast balls, and 40mm sponge rounds.

The wanton attack on police with bricks, rocks, mortars and other explosives continued for hours.

By 10 p.m., police had arrested 47 of the unhinged criminals.

By the time the battle for Seattle had ended, the rioters injured 59 cops. “Injuries ranged from abrasions and bruising to burns and a torn meniscus,” the SPD blotter reported.

Letter to City Council
The City Council likely invited the attack on police when they passed the anti-cop ordinance that took effect this weekend on June 15.

Taking the side of protesters, the council passed an ordinance that forbids the city to purchase, own, or rent crowd-control weapons.

The law also forbids cops from using pepper spray if it is “used in a demonstration, rally, or other First Amendment-protected event” or “when used to subdue an individual in the process of committing a criminal act or presenting an imminent danger to others, it lands on anyone other than that individual.”

Damages payable to rioters injured if the cops violate the new law is $10,000, plus attorney and court fees, and the settlement does not preclude the plaintiff from collecting a larger settlement.

Two days before the riots, Chief of Police Carmen Best sent the council a letter to show she did “due diligence of informing Council of the foreseeable impact of this ordinance on upcoming events.”

Warned Best:

It is a fact that there are groups and individuals who are intent on destruction in our City. Yes, we also have seen weeks of peaceful demonstrations, but two recent events (Sunday, July 19th and Wednesday, July 22nd) have included wide-scale property destruction and attacks on officers, injuring more than a dozen, some significantly.

Best warned that Saturday’s riot was planned and that the city should assume the arson, looting, and vandalism would continue.

Some have asked why officers are not arresting those engaging in criminal behavior, as officers do every day, and as they have in recent protests. If it is safe to do so, and even when it places their lives in danger, our officers always directly address criminal behavior. They do this, however, when they know they have the tools shown to allow the safe use of their policing powers. This Council ordinance denies them access to these tools that have been an essential part of their court-approved tactics....

As City Council’s legislation goes into effect, it will create even more dangerous circumstances for our officers to intervene using what they have left — riot shields and riot batons.

For these reasons, SPD will have an adjusted deployment in response to any demonstrations this weekend. The Council legislation gives officers no ability to safely intercede to preserve property in the midst of a large, violent crowd. Allowing this behavior deeply troubles me, but I am duty-bound to follow the Council legislation once it is in effect. If the Council is prepared to suggest a different response or interpretation of the legislation, I stand ready to receive it.

Last Month, Southern Baptist President JD Greear called on his church and other Southern Baptist churches to join them in anti-government anti-police protestors who called for such drastic measures as defunding the police and the destruction of historic statues in the North Carolina State Capital of Raleigh. The protests, led by Greear’s associate pastor, Mike Georges, was dubbed “Protest and Pray” and Georges, along with others, sported official Black Lives Matter gear featuring George Floyd’s infamous words, “I Can’t Breathe.”

These protests were encouraged by leftists, including the state governor, Roy Cooper, who was seen marching alongside these protestors breaking his own executive order and not wearing a mask. But Greear and his church gathered in mass gatherings as well not to worship corporately with their local church and body of believers, but to protest the government.

Now, amid the coronavirus and renewed calls for lockdowns due to a spike in cases which were caused by these mass protests of last month by Greear’s church and others, Greear says his church will not meet again for corporate worship this year…at all.

According to Summit Church’s official COVID-19 information page,

For the remainder of the year, we will not gather in person at our campuses on the weekend. Our plan is to equip you to be the church in your homes, in your communities, and online in order for you to continue being disciple-making disciples. So even when you can’t come to church, you can still be the church.

Replacing actual corporate worship and discipleship with online talks while neglecting fellowship with the saints and personal interaction from pastors is not church. Pastors cannot lead their flock if they don’t see them. There is no interaction — a key component of fellowship. There is no pastoral relationship. Greear is essentially turning his flock over to the pagan culture indefinitely and failing to lead his church.

President Trump has ordered the DOJ to deploy a “surge” of federal agents to Chicago to combat the rising lawlessness.

The deployment is part of “Operation Legend,” a newly-created DOJ initiative designed to enable federal law enforcement agencies to help local law enforcement officials fight violent crime.

“The operation in Chicago will be done as part of Operation Legend, which was recently launched in Kansas City…it was named after a four-year-old, Legend Ruggiero, who was shot and killed while he slept,” said Trump Wednesday from the White House East Room.

When you have the record that Attorney General Keith Ellison does, it's understandable that he doesn't want the cops showing up.

According to Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison, women who have just been sexually assaulted would prefer to talk to a social worker than law enforcement. The former DNC Deputy Chair and Congressman shared his thoughts about how rape victims feel following their attack on a Zoom meeting.

“If you’re a woman who’s been a victim of a sexual assault and the assailant has ran away, wouldn’t you rather talk to somebody who is trained in helping you deal with what you’re dealing with as opposed to somebody who’s main training is that they know how to use a firearm, right?”

If you're a crime victim, you're calling the police because you want the bastard brought to justice. If you just want someone to talk to, you call a therapist.

But Ellison is pushing "restorative justice" which is the big ugly thing waiting in the wings behind "criminal justice reform" and police defunding. That means letting criminals go unpunished, even more than before, while arranging therapy sessions for the victims. And if those victims are members of the wrong group whose lives don't matter, that will include owning their privilege and being lectured about white fragility, and perhaps going to jail for even daring to call the police.

In other words, if you think that things are bad now, just wait. We're going to some much worse places.

Ellison is about the worst messenger for this after having been accused by ex-girlfriends Amy Alexander and Karen Monahan of domestic abuse. The Alexander assault led to a 911 call which produced its own records. Despite that the Democrats stuck by Ellison and now he's in a position to advocate for policies that would badly harm rape victims. But then again that fits neatly into Ellison's religious convictions. Islamic law doesn't favor rape victims. Like the Left, it favors rapists.

Freedom of speech is one of the fundamental rights upon which this country was founded. And yet, virtually every mainstream outlet for exchanging information has become so biased that the truth is now hidden, “debunked,” or flat-out deleted. We need to end this assault on our freedoms and support platforms, representatives, and legislation that supports the right of every American to hear the TRUTH.

On our own, we have very little power against such massive media influence. But together, can overcome this push toward medical tyranny and domination over the people. We believe that we can restore this great Republic.

Vaccines

No matter what your personal decision is regarding vaccines, we believe that every American has the constitutional and God-given right to choose what we put into our bodies. But the medical mafia, through bribery and lies, has ushered in an age where that choice is no longer ours to make.

It feels like we’re slowly slipping towards a dystopian nightmare in which a tyrannical medical industry decides what information is allowed and what isn’t. Questioning the industry is not allowed. If you’re hesitant to inject your newborn with dozens of viruses and harmful adjuvants before their first birthday, you’re crazy. Even suggesting that the companies developing these vaccines may not have our best interests in mind will leave you branded a menace to society.

Federal agencies are working vigorously on a propaganda campaign designed for one purpose: to increase vaccine administration at any cost. They’re accomplishing this by exaggerating and exploiting a crisis, inciting public outrage, tracking opponents, and controlling the media.

Simply take a look at the National Adult Immunization Plan (NAIP), which was published by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). HHS oversees the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and National Institutes of Health (NIH), and the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA). Each of these operating divisions are essentially a revolving door for the pharmaceutical and agricultural industries.

Not only are they heavily influenced by money from these industries, but their agents are often former industry employees, receiving high-level jobs in the private sector once their public service has ended, or both. In fact, it’s so convoluted that the private companies who manufacture vaccines are no longer liable for proper testing or any injuries caused by their products.

We will also provide access to important information from experts like Dr. Judy Mikovitz, Dr. Sherri Tenpenny, and Robert F. Kennedy Jr., all of whom are experts on vaccine safety and medical freedom. These people have been actively censored in the media because their message interferes with the interests of Big Pharma. We want to help spread their message of truth for all to hear.

We believe that no free American should be forced to inject themselves or their children with ANY drug against their will. When it comes to vaccine mandates, the UMFSP will work tirelessly to support candidates, legislation, and activist groups that will defend our right to medical freedom.

Sheriffs

No law truly matters if it is not enforced. All too often, it falls on local law enforcement to uphold totalitarian mandates like forced vaccination, court-ordered chemotherapy, or social distancing guidelines. These officials are the true muscle behind these laws and illegal orders. The way that they respond can mean the difference between liberty and slavery.

That’s why the UMFSP will work tirelessly to promote and support sheriffs that have vowed to uphold your constitutional freedoms – even if that means taking a stand against a corrupt government. Fortunately, there are still many elected leaders who will support your freedoms in the face of tyranny and unjust rule.

In Colorado, several Sheriffs have refused to enforce red flag laws that strip citizens of due process and put both gun owners and law enforcement officers in harm’s way. In Snohomish County, Wash., Sheriff Adam Fortney is refusing to enforce the governor’s stay-at-home order, which he says “intrudes on our right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.”

In California, at least sheriffs have refused to enforce Governor Gavin Newsome’s illegal mandate for all citizens to wear masks. Sheriff Richard Mack of Graham County, Arizona took the defense of our liberties so seriously that he took his fight against unconstitutional laws all the way to the Supreme Court.

In 2011 Mack founded the Constitutional Sheriffs and Peace Officers Association (CSPOA). The organization has a mission similar to Oath Keepers, encouraging members to refuse to enforce laws that they believe are unconstitutional.

The UMFSP will work to support sheriffs like Richard Mack who faithfully protect our liberty in the face of oppression.

Charities

The UMFSP is not the first group to fight back against medical tyranny, and we want to support our partners and other charities that have provided support for families who have been oppressed by an unjust government. One of these charities is Children’s Health Defense.

Founded by Robert F. Kennedy Jr., the Children’s Health Defense Team is devoted to the health of people and our planet. Their mission is to end the childhood health epidemics by working aggressively to eliminate harmful exposures, hold those responsible accountable, and establish safeguards so this never happens again.

A CLEVER WAY TO TAKE BLM MESSAGES OFF THE STREET WITHOUT GETTING ARRESTED

You might have heard about the people arrested, and in one case charged with a “hate crime,” for trying to paint over the legalized Black Lives Matter graffiti defacing our streets. But there’s more than one way to skin a cat, as a California woman proved by getting a BLM message off a local street by cleverly using the law:

She announced that if the pavement was now a public forum, then she demands equal access for her message — “MAGA 2020.”

And that BLM graffiti was gone faster than you could say “I can’t breathe.”

If you’ve wondered why a pentagram, a “Festivus” pole, and even a Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster display may sit alongside a Nativity scene at Christmastime, it’s based on a First Amendment interpretation holding that the government may not discriminate among types of religious and political speech. It’s the Cloward-Piven strategy applied to culture.

Yet what’s sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander, as KPIX reports:

Many communities across the country are displaying “Black Lives Matter” street murals. Redwood City was one of them until last week when the city quietly removed it.

… But, last Thursday, the city washed the sign away after being contacted by local real estate attorney Maria Rutenburg, who said that if the street was now a public forum, she wanted a sign of her own reading “MAGA 2020.”

“I saw ‘Black Lives Matter’ sign appearing on Broadway Street on the asphalt and I figured that’s gonna be a new public space, open for discussion, and I wanted to get my message out, too.” Rutenburg said.

… “MAGA” is, of course, short for Make America Great Again, a rallying cry for supporters of President Trump. Faced with the possibility of a political and/or legal fight, the city suddenly decided that … [the BLM message] was a traffic hazard that might cause accidents and they removed it in the middle of the night. Ah, nothing like a lawsuit threat to separate the poseurs from the principled.

This could be replicated throughout the country, with requested messages ranging from “MAGA” to “All Lives Matter” to “White Lives Matter” to “Jesus Matters” and beyond. Moreover, if such cases were litigated and worked their way through the system, I consider a ruling in favor of “equal access” likely.

There certainly are many who want the BLM graffiti gone, as the acts of “democracy” (to use Seattle mayor Jenny Durkan’s terminology) against it evidence. For example, below is a video of Jesus Matters protester Bevelyn Beatty “augmenting” BLM graffiti in Manhattan.

As to this news report and others, the top commenter under the above noted some hypocrisy. “It’s hilarious how they say this is vandalism but say all of the vandalism done in Chop in Seattle is called ART,” he wrote.

Yes, and mobs destroying statues are called “protesters.”

(By the way, do you think the BLM boosters yelling “Why don’t you stop her?!” [video here] would have complained if the cops used a chokehold on Beatty?)

Moving on to more anti-BLM action, below is a video of an unknown man doing his part on NYC’s Fifth Avenue.

It’s good he was wearing a face mask. I mean, you wouldn’t want to contract the Wuhan virus, after all (cough-cough!). The NYPD’s determination in tracking down the culprit may be obvious, too: “Yeah, we’ll get right on that, Mr. Mayor...”

But if the police do, it can be no laughing matter, as a white California couple charged with a “hate crime” for attempting to beautify a BLM-scarred street learned (video below).

This is all the more reason to embrace Rutenburg’s legal strategy and, quite deliciously, use the Left’s own tactic against it.

This said, since it’s important to not just be a political animal driven by expediency, a deeper point should be made:

The equal-access notion, which has given us outrages such as Christmastime satanic displays, is bunk.

The First Amendment guarantees that government will not suppress speech or religion. It does not guarantee that government will equally showcase it.

Also note that the prohibition against establishing a religion doesn’t mean the state can’t showcase it.

Our history makes this clear. The Founding Fathers opened the very first Congress with exclusively Christian prayers, they remained exclusively Christian for most of our history, and even today are mainly so. And is it tenable saying the Founders didn’t understand what they meant when crafting the First Amendment?

Moreover, aside from the aforementioned silly “religious” displays, equal government showcasing of faith and “expression” could theoretically mean 100 other statues next to a state chosen statue (courts have ruled that symbolic speech is protected) and a multitude of mischievous and malevolent messages accompanying a state chosen message. Conceivably, this could give us a KKK-oriented statue next to one of Martin Luther King, Jr.

It’s silly thinking the Founders intended such an overwhelming of the system. Yet the subordinating of the ultimate precedent, the Constitution, to judges’ fictional precedents has brought us to this point. And if the courts can give us the public display of a phony religion’s symbols, maybe they can also give us a display of sanity next to a phony movement’s message.

July 8, 2020: “The U.S. Supreme Court handed private religious schools a major victory Wednesday, broadening
the so-called ministerial exception and ruling they can hire and fire employees without being governed by anti-
discrimination laws. At issue were teachers at two separate Catholic schools who sued after their contracts were
not renewed for reasons the schools said were related to performance. One teacher, though, alleged age
discrimination, and the other alleged she was released because she asked for time off for a medical procedure.
Both sued. The ministerial exception is a legal doctrine that allows religious institutions to hire and fire employees
without being governed by anti-discrimination laws. The U.S. Ninth Court of Appeals sided with the teachers,
ruling they were covered by anti-discrimination because they weren’t ministers and had no ministerial background.
But the Supreme Court, in a 7-2 decision, said the schools were not bound by non-discrimination laws. Justice
Samuel Alito wrote the majority opinion. The ruling could impact future cases related to sexual orientation and
gender identity, allowing Christian schools to dismiss--for example--a teacher who comes out as LGBT. The
ministerial exception, Alito ruled, is broad. An employer doesn’t have to wear the title ‘minister’ to be exempted

Ft Collins, CO –-(Ammoland.com)- The “Future” of Policing in the USA, as currently being pushed by Bidenistas and other Democrat/Communists:

The “Minneapolis PD” is officially morphing into the “Minneapolis Department of Community Safety & Violence Prevention.” Call it “DCSVP,” for short! This evolutionary scenario will play-out in nearly every metro area with a communist, aka Democrat Party, Mayor (which includes nearly all of them).

Some “features” of this new department: Size of the Department drastically reduced from current level. Far fewer patrol officers. Detectives are essentially done away with. Tactical (SWAT) units eliminated.

This catastrophic reduction in police personnel is also already being implemented in Chicago, NYC, Los Angeles, Seattle, et al. Here is what we can expect to see:

1. “Firearms personnel” to represent less than two-percent of sworn officers (no longer called “police”). Patrol officers will now go about their duties unarmed (UK model)!?

2. No personally-owned firearms nor ammunition used, owned, nor carried! “Special” officers will check-out handguns and ammunition from stations’ armories before shifts, and check them back in at the end of their watch. Even “firearms officers” will not be permitted to bear arms at any time other than when they are on watch. Routine concealed carry by officers is absolutely eliminated (UK/Canadian model).

Voices currently failing to condemn violent rioters and looters are the same voices planning to take your legally-owned guns in 2021. How are you going to vote?

3. Long-guns eliminated (carbines, rifles, shotguns, counter-sniper rifles). Pistols only, and even then, only born by “special” officers.

4. Tear-gas, Tasers, bean-bag guns, OC, Bruiser, nearly all less-lethal police equipment eliminated.

5. “Chief” of the DCSVP, in order to be even considered for the job, must have “non-law-enforcement experience in community safety services [read community-organizing] only, including public health and ‘restorative-justice’”

6. Current LEOs on-duty in Minneapolis, Chicago, Los Angles, Seattle, NYC are leaving the department, and the State, in droves. Owing to punitive budget cuts, there will be no new Academy Classes in any of these cities any time soon. Who would apply anyway?

Democrat/Communists are deliberately purging departments of the “old guard.” Experienced (read that: “competent”) police officers must go.

Results we’re seeing already.

Violent crime drastically increasing (hang on to your hat this holiday weekend as we try and celebrate America's birthday!). Petty crime drastically increasing. Mob violence drastically increasing, and it will all grow exponentially worse as we approach election day 2020.

They’ll be no let-up.

Democrat/Communists will demand that licensed concealed-carry be rescinded, in all states. Private ownership of guns will be prohibited, by law, shortly thereafter. “Police” won’t protect you, and they don’t want you protecting yourself.

In addition, Democrat/Communist politicians, along with their liberal snowflake supporters, actually believe that this “first round” of concessions will somehow “satisfy” the leftist Mob are even dumber than their wimpy Republican colleagues (if such a thing can be imagined).

7. Most sinister of all, a separate agency, the “Political Police,” who are constantly heavily armed (rifles, shotguns, machine guns) will be quietly created. Members will be recruited from ANTIFA/BLM.

BHO tried to similarly create his own “NKVD” in 2014, but was thwarted by Congressional Republicans (back when some Republicans, at least, had spines).

This will be the “new NKVD,” will be magically exempt from restrictive firearm bans and controls, as well as owned and operated by Democrat/Communists.

Their mission is two fold:

A. Provide continuous armed security for Democrat/Communist mayors, governors, and city council members. Citizens don’t get armed protection, but “party members” do!

When the NKVD shoots people, it will be kept from the news and never investigated.

Just like old times!

B. Surveillance of the “non-revolutionaries.” Americans who pay their taxes, obey the law, work for a living, don’t riot, enjoy their personal and economic freedom (all soon to be eliminated). They are the hated members of the “Bourgeois” (French for “Townsman”).

It’s gulags for us, and the NKVD will escort us there.

U.S.A. -(AmmoLand.com)- 2020 continues to serve up examples of why Americans should not tolerate gun control schemes that require citizens to obtain government permission before exercising their Second Amendment rights. This week, the Maryland State Police experienced what they termed a “catastrophic hardware failure” that interrupted that state’s ability to process regulated firearm purchase applications. The failure complicated Marylanders’ ability to access handguns at a time when many residents are seeking to protect themselves.

In order to purchase a handgun in Maryland, a prospective gun owner must first obtain a Handgun Qualification License. Applicants must complete a firearms safety training course and undergo a fingerprint-based background check. The application process costs $50, not including fingerprinting fees.

On top of this rigorous requirement, a Maryland resident must fill out a 77R Application and Affidavit to Purchase a Regulated Firearm. The applicant is then subjected to a redundant background check, a $10 fee, and a 7-day waiting period. The private transfer of handguns is prohibited in Maryland, so all handgun transactions must be conducted pursuant to this procedure.

In a June 22 advisory memo sent to firearm dealers, the Maryland State Police explained that the hardware failure “has caused an interruption in the Maryland State Police Licensing Division’s (MDSPLD) ability to complete background investigations, specifically, for regulated firearm purchase applications (77Rs), handgun qualification license applications (HQLs) and MD wear and carry permit applications (handgun permits).” The document noted that it was the regulated firearm purchase applications that were most affected.

Fortunately, Maryland law contains a safety-valve provision for just such circumstances. MD Code, Public Safety, § 5-123 provides, “(a) A licensee may not sell, rent, or transfer a regulated firearm until after 7 days following the time a firearm application is executed by the firearm applicant, in triplicate, and the original is forwarded by the prospective seller or transferor to the Secretary.” This means that a firearm dealer may proceed with a handgun transfer on the eighth day after the dealer submitted a customer’s regulated firearm purchase application, even if the state police have not affirmatively approved the transfer.

However, in their advisory memo, the state police encouraged firearms dealers to forego the right to complete a handgun transfer – even after seven days have passed.

The memo noted, “The MDSPLD [Maryland State Police Licensing Division] encourages RFDs [Regulated Firearm Dealers] not to transfer these firearms until background checks have been completed.”

This “encourage[ment]” takes on a more mandatory character when one considers that Maryland gun dealers are subject to both federal and state licensing requirements. The same Maryland State Police Licensing Division that made the request for dealers halt lawful handgun transfers controls dealer licensing.

On June 24, the state police announced that they were “able to their database system to a fully operational status.” However, they also acknowledged a “backlog of regulated firearm purchase applications” and that “the process to complete all applications on file is expected to take several days.”

If the Maryland government holding up lawful gun transfers due to their own inability to process background checks sounds familiar, that’s because it is.

Back in 2013, at a time when both President Barack Obama and Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley were pursuing gun control, Maryland’s background check system experienced a months-long backlog. NRA filed suit against then-Secretary of the Department of State Police Col. Marcus L. Brown. The complaint sought to have the court force the state into meeting the requirement that applications be processed within seven days and to make immediate determinations on all applications that had already been in the backlog more than seven days. Further, the suit argued for the state to recognize that gun dealers be allowed to transfer firearms to purchasers whose application had been pending more than seven days but had yet to be processed.

As part of avoiding the suit, the state made clear that gun dealers are allowed to transfer regulated firearms to customers following the seven day waiting period, but prior to receiving a determination on the purchaser’s application from the state police.

A June 7, 2013 advisory memo from the state police noted, “a regulated firearm may be lawfully sold, leased or transferred by a licensed firearms dealer or other person after the seven-day waiting period, provided that the dealer or person has not received notice that the application has been placed on hold or disapproved by Maryland State Police (Public Safety Article Sec. 5-125(b)) and the dealer or person does not have actual knowledge or reasonable cause to believe that the recipient is disqualified from possessing a regulated firearm under Maryland or federal law.”

At the bottom, the problem is not that Maryland continues to “encourage” the gun dealers that they regulate to disavow their customers’ Second Amendment rights. The problem is a regime that requires permission to exercise a constitutional right. The record is clear, governments like Maryland have repeatedly shown that at times they are unwilling or incapable of granting that permission.

Consider what gun owners in other parts of the country have experienced this year. In several jurisdictions, governors and local officials ordered gun stores closed during the onset of the COVID-19 outbreak. In states that have criminalized the private transfer of firearms, this effectively cut off law-abiding citizens’ ability to exercise their Second Amendment rights. In other jurisdictions, officials curtailed or cut-off access to licenses needed to acquire firearms or exercise the Right-to-Carry. All of this occurred at a time when Americans most-needed their Second Amendment rights, as evidenced by the record-breaking number of background checks conducted through the FBI’s National Instant Criminal Check System (NICS).

The way to avoid these unacceptable scenarios is to reject firearm owner licensing and so-called “universal background check” schemes that create a prior restraint on the exercise of constitutional rights. Once such a system is in place, citizens must count on their government to act in an honest and competent manner in administering their rights. As history has made clear, this is nothing anyone should be forced to rely upon.

Steve Green on Tuesday stated the obvious that virtually everyone else has been tiptoeing around and pretending isn’t there: “What you’re looking at, in my humble opinion, is communism moving into Minneapolis and St. Paul.” And not just Communism, but the Leftist/Islamic alliance. Green asserted that Antifa and Muslim organizations plan to “police Minneapolis under Muslim rule.” Those who scoff at such a notion simply aren’t paying attention to recent developments.

The Minneapolis City Council voted two weeks ago to abolish the city’s police force. Its plans beyond that have so far been sketchy, but something is going to have to be put in place as an alternative to the police. The New York Times noted that “many have called for relying more on self-policing by the community, in the way attendees often do at events like music festivals, with the police stepping in only when a true emergency arises. Some cited as an example how, in the days after the killing of Mr. Floyd, teams made up of dozens of members of the American Indian Movement patrolled streets and directed traffic in the Little Earth housing community in Minneapolis.”

If members of the local community end up policing Minneapolis, what might that look like? Back in 2016, a series of Minneapolis Muslims in man-on-the-street interviews stated matter-of-factly that they preferred Islamic law over American law. We have seen Sharia patrols in Germany, Britain, and even New York City, where the Muslim Community Patrol (MCP) is decked out in uniforms that strong resemble New York Police Department uniforms, and drives cars carefully designed to look like NYPD cars, to enforce “fundamentals of the Sharia.”

Muslim leader Siraj Wahhaj explained what that meant: “The mosques need protection and the MCP cars can help stop people who were not following the rules and regulations of the sharia, doing what they’re not supposed to be doing, but still doing it.” According to a Muslim involved with the MCP, this would involve stopping “Muslim women being out after dark, Muslim men hanging out in the corners doing dope, Muslims drinking liquor,” and enforcing, “basically, the fundamentals of the Sharia.”

If such a community patrol is launched in Minneapolis, it is likely to focus on the same things, but not do anything about the fact that the 5^th Congressional District in Minneapolis, Rep. Ilhan Omar’s district, is the jihad terror recruitment capital of the United States. Stopping young Muslims from engaging in jihad activity is unlikely to be a high priority for a group that is dedicated to enforcing Sharia, since Sharia calls upon Muslims to wage war against and subjugate unbelievers.

The Sharia enforcers’ hard-Left allies in Antifa would have no problem with this. Islam historically has never had any difficulty coexisting with authoritarian governments; in fact, it is free republics that have never proved to be compatible with Islamic law. Consequently, Steve Green’s words don’t appear farfetched at all. The unholy alliance of Leftists and Islamic supremacists sees that its moment is now, and is grabbing all it can.

How likely is it that Minneapolis really could end up under Islamic rule, with the blessing and cooperation of the hard-Left? According to the Minnesota Reformer, another Minnesota state Representative, Mohamud Noor of Minneapolis, did not deny the truth of Green’s statements. Instead, when asked about them, he “said rather than talk about things that inflame people and create division, Minnesota needs to address the challenge before it.” And of course, talk of Antifa/Islamic rule in Minneapolis might “inflame people,” so keep quiet. Keep quiet, that is, if you oppose such an eventuality, not if you favor it. Said Noor: “Minnesota is awake. They understand the challenges; they have been hearing the challenges for far too long. And we can’t wait any longer.”

Steve Green may turn out to have been a prophetic voice far sooner than anyone expects. And if any free people who may still be in Minneapolis want to head this off, the time is now to “inflame people” – not to riot and destroy after the manner of the Left, but to stand up decisively now and stop the power-grab of these insidious totalitarian forces.
