Turkey: 1,000 boats filled with Leftists head to Gaza to try to disrupt maritime trade coming into Israel

“Among the 1,000 vessels would be 313 boats filled with Russian activists, and 104 filled with Spanish activists…”

Once again, these self-righteous useful idiots have no idea what they’re enabling. Or if they do, it would be even worse.

“1,000 boats said set to leave Turkey for Gaza waters in new ‘Freedom Flotilla,’” by Gianluca Pacchiani, Times of Israel, November 21, 2023:

Approximately 1,000 boats will gather in Turkey on Wednesday before heading toward Gaza in an attempt to break the Israeli blockade and disrupt maritime trade coming into Israel during the war with Hamas, in an apparent repeat of similar attempts from over a decade ago.

In an interview with Turkish news website Haber7, Volkan Okçu, one of the organizers of the protest, indicated the boats will carry 4,500 people from 40 countries, “including anti-Zionist Jews.”

Among the 1,000 vessels would be 313 boats filled with Russian activists, and 104 filled with Spanish activists, he said. Only 12 Turkish vessels will join the flotilla, he told Haber7.

However, Okçu said in a later tweet that he expected the number of Turkish vessels to be much higher, at least 1,000, and insisted that the initiative is not associated with the Turkish government. He did not explain the discrepancy in numbers.

The activist indicated to Haber7 that the flotilla is scheduled to leave Turkish coasts on Thursday. The maritime convoy is set to make a first stop in Cyprus before continuing toward the Israeli port of Ashdod. Some participants in the flotilla will also reportedly take their spouses and children on board.

Okçu said that the main objective of the operation would be to cause disruption in international waters off the Israeli coast to the maritime trade heading for the port of Ashdod, in order to interrupt the supply of goods to Israel for a week or even up to 10 days….

Biden regime threatens Israel: may not support further defensive actions in Gaza

Notice that the Biden regime doesn’t say anything to Hamas about its use of civilians as human shields and its intentional actions to put civilians in harm’s way so that it can use civilian casualties for propaganda purposes. The criminal regime in Washington is doing all it can to keep Hamas alive.

“Biden Admin warns it might not support next phase of Israel’s war,” JNS, November 22, 2023 (thanks to the Geller Report):

Israel must have a plan to protect the civilians in southern Gaza before proceeding with the war, says U.S.National Security Council Spokesman John Kirby.

The White House says it won’t support Israel’s plan to expand its operations into the south of the Gaza Strip unless it shows it will protect the Palestinian civilians there.

In a Tuesday press call, US National Security Council Spokesman John Kirby said the United States won’t support Israel “moving forward with operations in the south absent a clearly articulated plan for how they’re going to protect the lives of the hundreds of thousands of people” there.

“There’s an obligation for them to factor that into their planning,” Kirby said.

The NSC spokesman noted that the population in the south of the terror-run enclave has swelled as Israel ordered the northern population to flee southwards. It’s “even more incumbent” on Israel to “protect those civilians who moved at their urging,” said Kirby….

Israel-Hamas war update: Gaza babies evacuate from Shifa hospital

Gaza war update: 31 premature babies were transferred from Gaza's Al-Shifa hospital to another in the South. Those 'very sick' babies are currently in Rafah and will be transported to Egypt on Monday. The Associated Press reports the infants suffered from dehydration, hypothermia, and even sepsis. The Palestinian Red Crescent and UN agencies evacuated the babies to a safer location.

Gaza human shields: Rockets inside girl’s bed, weapons transferred inside baby strollers

Jihadists will use any means, and go to limitless lengths — no matter how immoral and abusive — to accomplish their goals. The propaganda war in Gaza being waged by Hamas, Islamic Jihad and other jihadists includes the use of human shields for the explicit purpose of racking up the tally of the dead so that the large number of casualties can be used against Israel for propaganda purposes. For Hamas, dead civilians, including children, means more “martyrs” and more supporters globally.

Hamas has been issuing open calls for Gazans to serve as human shields since the start of Operation Swords of Iron. But the practice isn’t new. It has been a longtime strategy of the Palestinian jihad. For example, a Palestinian mother was caught teaching her son that “we were not created for happiness. In my eyes, you are meant for Martyrdom!”

“Rockets inside a girl’s bed: IDF reveals more evidence of Hamas’ use of civilians,” Israel National News, November 16, 2023:

Rockets were found inside a bed in the children’s bedroom inside the house of a Hamas terrorist during operational activity carried out by the troops of the 551st Brigade. The terrorist was a part of a Hamas terrorist cell in Beit Hanoun.

During the operational activity, the troops uncovered a significant amount of weapons, including rockets, explosive devices, and dozens of kilos of explosives.

The weapons were subsequently destroyed by the forces.

In addition, the IDF discloses a recorded conversation between two Islamic Jihad terrorists, in which the terrorists describe how weapons are transferred inside baby strollers…..

Biden Thinks an Israeli Reoccupation of Gaza Would ‘Not Be Good’

AP Photo/Adel Hana
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Monday that the IDF would be responsible for security in Gaza after the war. He told ABC News on Monday that Gaza should be governed by “those who don’t want to continue the way of Hamas” before adding, “I think Israel will, for an indefinite period, have the overall security responsibility because we’ve seen what happens when we don’t have it.”

Indeed, the goal of the current offensive in Gaza is the elimination of the Hamas threat to the Israeli people. There will be no repeat of October 7 and to see to that, the IDF will be stationed in Gaza to make sure Hamas will never rise again.

Admittedly, this kind of talk makes Israel's Western allies and many Arab states in the Middle East nervous. And it drew a sharp warning from U.S. President Joe Biden, who knows that an Israeli occupation of Gaza would complicate peace with nations like Saudi Arabia.

“The president still believes that a reoccupation of Gaza by Israeli forces is not good. It’s not good for Israel; not good for the Israeli people,” said National Security Council spokesman John Kirby on “CNN This Morning.”

“One of the conversations that Secretary (Antony) Blinken has been having in the region is what does post-conflict Gaza look like? What does governance look like in Gaza? Because whatever it is it can’t be what it was on October 6. It can’t be Hamas,” he added.

Even states that don't like Israel have to be realistic and understand that Blinken is right. Just like the world couldn't go back to the way things were on September 10, 2001, so too, the world can never return to a state that tolerates or even accepts Hamas.

CNN:

In an interview with CBS’ “60 Minutes” last month, Biden said it would be a “big mistake” for Israel to occupy Gaza. At the time, Michael Herzog, the Israeli ambassador to the United States, told CNN’s Jake Tapper that Israel does not intend to occupy Gaza after the conflict ends.

There have been other sharp gaps between the US and Israel emerging in recent weeks as the war continues. Blinken last week pushed the Israelis for a “humanitarian pause” to allow hostages and civilians to leave Gaza and for aid for Palestinians to enter, but was rebuked by Netanyahu.

And despite Blinken’s forceful public missive that “civilians should not suffer the consequences for (Hamas’) inhumanity and its brutality,” Israeli forces continued to strike civilian sites in the wake of the top US diplomat’s visit. The forces claimed that the sites were being used by Hamas.

Israel's Catch-22 is not hard to understand — unless you're Antony Blinken or Joe Biden. Israel must destroy Hamas. Even Biden agrees with that. But to destroy Hamas, Israel must attack the hiding places of Hamas. History has shown that Hamas hide in hospitals, they hide in mosques, and they hide weapons in schools. They do this to create the conditions that Israel must either kill civilians to get at Hamas or allow Hamas to survive.

The entire world pretends not to understand this simple statement of fact: The only way that Israel doesn't kill any civilians is if they give up and allow Hamas to destroy Israel and murder the Jews. Yes, but at least no civilians will die.

Put aside the moral posturing from moral pygmies and what you're left with is Israel doing what is necessary to survive. It doesn't get any more fundamental than that.

Islamic Republic of Iran says US will ‘be hit hard’ if there is no ceasefire in Gaza

Funny how Rashida Tlaib and Nihad Awad are advocating the same course of action as Mohammad-Reza Ashtiani, Iran’s Minister of Defence.

“Iran’s chilling threat to America over Israel: Islamic regime says the US will be ‘hit hard’ if no Gaza ceasefire is implemented – after Tehran-backed Hezbollah terrorists warned of escalation on Lebanon border,” by Nick Craven and Summer Goodkind, Daily Mail, November 5, 2023:

Iran has issued a chilling threat to the United States, telling them it will ‘be hit hard’ if no ceasefire is implemented in Gaza, amid new fears that Israel’s war on Hamas in Gaza could escalate.

Mohammad-Reza Ashtiani, Iran’s Minister of Defence, emphasized the urgency, stating: ‘Our advice to the Americans is to immediately halt the war in Gaza and implement a ceasefire, otherwise they will be hit hard.’

But Mr Blinken rejected a ceasefire, insisting it would only give Iranian-backed Hamas a chance to regroup following its horrific attack on Israel on October 7, killing 1,400 civilians and taking more than 240 hostage.

Instead, Mr Blinken pressed for ‘pauses’ in the fighting to allow civilians to evacuate from the battleground of Gaza City and the northern part of the enclave, which is being pounded with heavy Israeli artillery barrages as the war passes its 30th day.

The uncompromising tone was echoed by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who pledged at an air force base: ‘There will be no ceasefire without the return of our hostages, we say this to both our enemies and our friends. We will continue until we beat them.’

Another senior Iranian government figure ramped up the tension with the West still further.

Mohammad Reza Naqdi deputy leader of the powerful Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, said: ‘If Israel’s crimes continue, we should strike America’s interests,’ without specifying how….

Wait, what? The “Palestinians” are watching movies? But…but…the New York Times AP and CNN told me that they were starving and had neither food, water, nor electricity to project images of Hamas destroying military vehicles. They couldn’t have been lying to me, could they? Inconceivable!

“Palestinians Gather Outside Gaza’s Al-Shifa Hospital To Watch Screening Of Footage Of Hamas Destroying Israeli Military Vehicles,” MEMRI, November 4, 2023:

On November 4, 2023, Gaza Now on Telegram uploaded a video of what it described was a screening outside of the Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza of footage of Hamas’s Izz Al-Din Al-Qassam destroying Israeli military vehicles. The large crowd cheered and shouted: “Allah Akbar!” during the screening.

This money will go to Hamas. There is no entity in Gaza that can prevent this money from going to Hamas.

“Kamala Harris’ stepdaughter Ella Emhoff is promoting an $8M Gaza fundraising campaign: ‘Abhorrent,’” by Jon Levine, New York Post, November 4, 2023:

…Ella Emhoff, 24 — whose father, First Gentleman Doug Emhoff, is Jewish — affixed a fundraising drive “supporting urgent relief for Gaza’s children” on her personal Instagram account. It makes no mention of the scores of Israeli children murdered among the 1,400 innocent Israelis killed by Hamas terrorists on Oct. 7.

Her promotion puts the funding appeal in front of her 315,000 Instagram followers.

The fundraiser, which has netted more than $7.8 million so far, is being operated by the Palestinian Children’s Relief Fund, a nonprofit based in Kent, Ohio, which raked in more than $21 million in 2021, according to ProPublica. It’s unclear how much, if anything, Ella Emhoff has personally donated to the cause.

“It’s of tremendous concern and I find it abhorrent,” said Rep. Jeff Van Drew (R-NJ). “To be honest with you, I am kind of stunned by it. It’s disturbing to the maximum degree.”

Van Drew, a member of the House Homeland Security Committee, said it was almost certain that Hamas would be able to siphon any humanitarian cash that entered Gaza….

“Ella is not Jewish,” a rep for the second daughter insisted to The Forward in 2021. “It’s not something she grew up with. Ella truly has no qualms with the faith, but she does not want to speak on behalf of Judaism, as she does not celebrate herself.”

Emhoff — whose biological mom is film producer Kerstin Emhoff — has styled herself as a model and making boobs-out appearances at New York Fashion Week….

Netanyahu: No ‘Pause,’ No Ceasefire, No Fuel For Gaza Unless Hostages Released

AP Photo/Evan Vucci
"We won't stop until victory," said Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in a short, televised address on Friday. He told the Israeli people that he had rejected U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken's suggestion of a humanitarian "pause" in the fighting that does not include a release of their hostages. He also says Israel “will not enable the entry of fuel to Gaza.”

He promised that victory would be “sharp and clear” and would “resonate for generations.”

For the first time since the war began, we can see daylight between the U.S. and Israeli governments. As Israel continues to prosecute a war that, by necessity, is leading to a high civilian death toll, Israel's friends find it more and more difficult to give the Jewish state unqualified support.

I'm pretty sure Netanyahu was aware of this going into the war. It doesn't appear that anything the United States says or does will deter him from achieving his number one war aim: destroying Hamas so they can never threaten to security of the Israeli people again.

Times of Israel:

He says he told Blinken that “Israel refuses a temporary ceasefire that does not include the release of our hostages. Israel will not enable the entry of fuel to Gaza and opposes sending money to the Strip.”

He notes that Israel has lost hundreds of civilians and soldiers on and since October 7 — wonderful fighters, incredible Israelis… people who blocked these monsters with their bodies.”

He tells some of their stories and says they “sacrificed their lives for our lives.”

“We are trying to fight with minimal danger to our warriors, but we will do whatever is needed to defeat our enemies,” he concludes.

Indeed, the call for a "humanitarian pause" would only give Hamas time to regroup and dig in. And a pause would definitely do no favors for the Israeli and foreign hostages being held in Gaza. Netanyahu has no choice. All he has for leverage regarding the hostages is Israel's ability to make life absolutely miserable for Gazans.

Hamas, of course, is doing fine. It's the Gazans who are suffering and even if public opinion turned against Hamas -- a remote possibility -- the terrorists wouldn't care. They're not at war to save the Palestinians or create a homeland for them. They are fighting a holy war to destroy Israel.

Hamas certainly doesn't care about a "pause" except how they can use it to better their strategic position.

Wall Street Journal:

As Israeli forces have advanced, quickly encircling Gaza City and bearing down on tunnel networks and strongholds, Hamas would like nothing more than to slow them down.

It strains credibility to think Hamas wouldn’t use a pause to its advantage. Nor is Hamas likely to release all hostages and forfeit its best leverage. It may drag out negotiations, dribbling out hostages to win reprieve after reprieve, plus propaganda bumps.

The way to help Palestinian civilians isn’t to slow the Israeli advance. The less control Hamas has over Gaza’s streets, the more civilians can escape the fighting and the more aid can be brought in securely. The ground invasion has already allowed humanitarian assistance to ramp up, with more than 100 truckloads now arriving each day. Hamas would use freedom of action to keep civilians as shields and pilfer more aid—limiting what Israel can let in.

The fate of the hostages may be uncertain but they are possibly Hamas's last, most potent weapon. As their infrastructure and fighters are being systematically eliminated, Hamas's only hope for survival is the intercession of others — the United States in particular — who could use its influence to stop Israel short of their primary war aim of destroying Hamas.

At the moment, Biden is still — reluctantly — on board. But Biden is in a campaign for re-election and anything is possible if American public opinion changes.

New York Times Provides Hamas with Information on IDF Positions in Gaza

The New York Times has been publishing maps of Gaza, based on satellite imagery, that provide information on IDF positions in the northern part of the Strip, including the location of large numbers of tanks and armored vehicles, that are now making their way to encircle Gaza City. This is information that Hamas did not possess, but now it does. Thanks to the New York Times, Hamas is no longer eyeless in Gaza. Elder of Ziyon charges the Times with providing aid to a recognized terrorist group. His analysis can be found here: “New York Times is providing Hamas with intelligence. How is this not a violation of US law against aiding terror organizations?,” Elder of Ziyon, October 30, 2023:

Every day, the New York Times writes exactly what Israel is doing in this war. Today, for example:

Israel has provided limited details about the invasion, four days into what an Israeli official described as an “extended ground operation.” But imagery verified by The Times indicates large groups of tanks and other armored vehicles making their way deep into Gaza, as Israel’s military has continued to strike nearby buildings from the air.

In northwest Gaza, a satellite image taken on Monday morning by Planet Labs shows large groups of armored vehicles advancing about three miles south of the northern border near the coast of the Mediterranean Sea….

Photographs also show a second group of armored vehicles near the city of Beit Hanoun, on the northeast edge of the Gaza Strip. Beit Hanoun had already been significantly damaged by airstrikes in the past several weeks….

This is the New York Times providing intelligence to Hamas, using satellite photos and other information sources that Hamas doesn’t have access to. Planet Labs, as far as I know, only provides paid services, and it would not be allowed to provide services to Hamas directly, so why can the New York Times buy and publish the same information where Hamas can read it?…

The only people it helps are the terrorists.

And now it is publishing information on exactly where in Gaza the Israeli troops are.

I’m no lawyer, but it sounds like a violation of 18 USC 2339BProviding material support or resources to designated foreign terrorist organizations…

Will the Department of Justice now open an investigation into the New York Times, and how it has managed, through its publication of a detailed map of northern Gaza, to provide precise intelligence, mostly satellite imagery taken by Planet Labs, about the IDF positions in northwest Gaza, thereby helping a designated terrorist group, Hamas, in its war against our ally, the state of Israel? Hasn’t the mighty Times “knowingly provided material support or resources to a foreign terrorist organization”? What possible justification can the Grey Lady offer for publishing such material? Does Hamas have a right to know exactly where the IDF’s tanks and armored vehicles are located, and where they are heading? Was that information, now easily accessed by the terrorist group, really to be included in “all the news that’s fit to print”?

“Rockefeller Brothers Fund Funneled Millions to Hamas, Other Terrorists,” by Frank Bergman, Slay, October 27, 2023:

The Rockefeller Brothers Fund (RBF) has funneled millions of dollars to Hamas and other deadly terrorist groups, according to a new report.

The RBF was founded by the five third-generation Rockefeller brothers: John, Nelson, Laurance, Winthrop, and David, all of whom are now deceased.

The organization portrays itself as a philanthropic foundation that seeks to “contribute to a more just, sustainable, and peaceful world.”

However, a new report reveals that it has contributed more than $3.4 million to Hamas and other terrorist groups since 2018.

Andrew Kerr of the Washington Free Beacon expounded on this matter, naming several groups that benefited from RBF money.

One such group is Defense for Children International-Palestine (DCI Palestine), an extension of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP).

The group, which employs senior PFLP members, has received $165,000 from the RBF since 2018 to promote flawed research that seeks to de-legitimize Israel.

Because of this, the Israeli government declared DCI-Palestine a terrorist organization in October 2021.

Another recipient of RBF money is Education for Just Peace in the Middle East, a national organization working toward freedom, justice, and equality.

The group, which has received $580,000 in funding since 2018, was later accused of using its charity status to fund Hamas and other Palestinian terrorist organizations.

Jewish Voice for Peace has also received $490,000 from the RBF since 2019.

Protesters associated with the group reportedly entered a congressional office building to speak out against Israel on October 18.

This resulted in the arrest of roughly 300 demonstrators.

Aside from the three organizations he mentioned, Kerr said the RBF has given more than $2.2 million to other groups that have either justified pro-Hamas actions or blamed Israel for the October 7 terrorist attack….

Two Dozen US Soldiers Injured in Iran-Backed Attacks Last Week

SEE: https://www.jihadwatch.org/2023/10/two-dozen-us-soldiers-injured-in-iran-backed-attacks-last-week;

Republished below in full unedited for informational, educational, & research purposes.

The ayatollahs are getting impatient that their $6 billion check from Biden hasn’t arrived.

The ayatollahs are getting impatient that their $6 billion check hasn’t arrived in the mail. And they do like celebrating the 40th anniversary of their great triumph… the Marine Barracks bombing.

So they spent a little time trying to kill American soldiers. Again.

At least two-dozen American military personnel based in Iraq and Syria were injured in drone attacks last week that officials said were launched by Iran-backed proxy groups.

The largest attack carried out against a US base was on Oct. 18 when 20 troops suffered “minor injuries,” after numerous one-way drones targeted the al-Tanf Garrison in southeastern Syria, US military officials said, according to the Washington Post.

On the same day, multiple drones also targeted the US and its allies in two different attacks on Ain al-Asad Air Base in western Iraq that left four people with minor injuries, the Washington Post reported. Those injured also returned to duty.

A US citizen working as a contractor died the same day after he went into cardiac arrest during a shelter-in-place order at the base.

The Pentagon has said the groups behind the attacks are supported by Iran and its Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.

It’s natural to assume that this is a response to the current situation in the region, but the depressing thing is that it’s not even new.

The two elements that jump out at most people (1. Iran launching attacks on U.S. bases and (2. the White House not even mentioning it… have been around for quite a while.

Here’s my article on it from Jan 2022.

Two more terror drones targeted American forces deployed to fight ISIS at the Al Asad air base. The base has been repeatedly hammered by Iran-backed rocket attacks over the past year, most notably when 14 rockets struck the base over the summer causing several injuries.

There were repeated Iran-backed rocket strikes against Americans in Iraq throughout the last year totaling an estimated 25 separate attacks under the Biden administration.

On September 11, two drones launched an attack on U.S. forces at Erbil International Airport.

Then, as now, the Biden administration limited American military personnel to defensive preventative air strikes against the Shiite terror groups carrying out the attacks.

This was going on long before the current Hamas attack and the Israeli response. Or before we directed more forces to the region.

American soldiers have been killed and worse still, we’re funding their killers. And I don’t just mean with that $6 billion.

While some U.S. conflicts with Jihadists in the region are old news, Kataeb Hezbollah fired rockets at the U.S. embassy in Baghdad in 2019 and has bombed U.S. bases in recent years. Kataeb Hezbollah killed two American soldiers in 2020: Army Spc. Juan Miguel Mendez Covarrubias and Air Force Staff Sgt. Marshal D. Roberts.

Politicians and the media have mostly ignored the fact that Americans are continuing to be killed in Iraq, that the Iraqi government is funding their killers, and that we’re funding Iraq.

While Iraq funds Iran’s terror militias, the United States funds the UN Development Programme to “stabilize” Iraq and has invested over $100 million into “conflict, peace and security” funding.

The United States has spent over $1 billion financing the nation’s military while Iraq spends billions financing the Iranian PMU terror militias which are expected to approach a quarter of a million Jihadis.

Did you hear any mention of Air Force Staff Sgt. Marshal D. Roberts?

On March 14, 2020, Roberts lost his life when enemy fire engaged with his unit at Camp Taji. With rockets flying, Roberts and his friend took cover. They discussed running to a bunker but not without considering if they could make it to safety. Roberts told his fellow Airmen to go and get her body armor. As his friend left, a rocket landed, taking his life. In losing his own, Roberts saved another.

Her body armor.

Do we talk about any of this? No. And then suddenly we notice it and wonder what’s going on. Iran keeps attacking us and trying to kill us. And Biden keeps trying to cut a deal while warning against offending Iran.

Israel’s Gaza Ground Offensive Begins…in the West Bank?

Israel's Gaza Ground Offensive Begins... in the West Bank?
TSAFRIR ABAYOV
Pundits and amateurs alike have wondered when Jerusalem would order the ground troops into Gaza to take direct action against Hamas and that terrorist government’s cement-lined “spider-web” of tunnels beneath the city. On Thursday, the Israelis did indeed begin a ground offensive, with at least 40 tanks, infantry fighting vehicles, and Caterpillar D9 Armored Bulldozers. The big surprise is that the IDF attacked the Palestinian city of Jenin in the West Bank.

Jenin is just across the border from Israel proper and has long been a stronghold for Hamas and Islamic Jihad.

Hit ’em where they least expect it, I suppose. The attack has been described as a “large-scale raid,” undoubtedly to knock out at least one Hamas base. Gunmen in the city have shot at Israeli troops in recent days, resulting in a series of rare airstrikes. IDF raids are much more common, but I can’t recall one on Thursday’s scale.

Some sources report that the bulldozers were sent to destroy streets and infrastructure but this video shows the IAF clearing streets in Jenin.

While the world’s attention has been largely focused on Gaza — and Jerusalem would probably rather remain focused on Gaza, too — Hamas and their jihadi allies have lit up the West Bank in recent days. I’m otherwise wary of this Time report for mindlessly parroting Hamas’s casualty claims, but it’s correct when it quotes Israel-Palestine analyst Mairav Zonszein saying West Bank violence is now “on steroid

The Jerusalem Post reported that three Palestinian terrorists were killed in Jenin clashes on Friday, including “a senior member of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad’s al-Quds Brigades.”

But with more than 300,000 reservists mobilized, it isn’t as though events in Jenin have Israel distracted from the main event in Gaza. NBC News reported late Thursday/early Friday on a similar “targeted raid” into northern Gaza with an unknown number of troops and armored vehicles. According to Israeli sources, the raid was part of their “preparations for the next stages of combat.” Meanwhile, IAF airstrikes hit a reported 250 targets in Gaza over the previous 24 hours.

Recommended: You’ll Never Believe Where Hamas Hid a Military Headquarters (Actually, You Will)

Pulling back to look at the bigger picture reveals a confused and dangerous mess. Some of the confusion emanates — because of course, it does — from the Biden administration.

On the one hand, Reuters reports that Biden and his national security team “have markedly shifted their tone on the Israel-Hamas crisis in recent days, moving from unfettered support of Israel to emphasizing the need to protect Palestinian civilians in Gaza.” World opinion, as tainted by antisemitism as ever, has apparently caused the White House to blanch.

The shift might also be because of the antisemites within the Democrat party’s own ranks. Since the start of the Israel-Hamas War, Biden’s “approval rating among Democrats has tumbled 11 percentage points… the worst reading of his presidency from his own party.” This is what happens when a political party gets into bed with the likes of The Squad and campus radicals devoted to the destruction of Israel.

On the other hand, the administration hasn’t just ordered even more forces to the Middle East, they’re increasingly in a war posture. A local source privately reports that Marines have been ordered into their desert camouflage uniforms with muted rank insignia. And there’s the tiny little matter of Thursday’s U.S. Air Force strikes against “two facilities linked to Iranian-backed militias in eastern Syria.”

So it’s OK when we do it but Israel needs to show some more restraint?

Finally, let’s look towards Moscow, where Russian strongman Vladimir Putin is hosting a Hamas delegation to discuss “Zionist crimes supported by the United States and the West.” The actual talks might also involve Putin giving Hamas tips on large-scale ethnic cleansing.

I fully expect this report to be half out of date by the time I file it, so stay tuned because this is a bumpy ride we’re on and it’s barely begun.

What’s taking so long? Why hasn’t Israel moved into Gaza and begun to obliterate Hamas? The answer, I’m afraid, is drearily predictable.

The death toll for the Hamas jihad massacres in Israel has now climbed over 1,400, yet over two weeks after the Oct. 7 attacks that appalled the world, the promised Israeli ground offensive has not yet materialized. The reason for the delay can be summed up in what the man who claims to be president would say were two words, and those words are that same man’s name: Old Joe Biden.

The Wall Street Journal reported Monday that “U.S. and European governments have joined to put pressure on Israel to hold off on its ground invasion of Gaza to allow more time to win the release of hostages held by Hamas, U.S. and foreign officials said.” That pressure almost certainly originates from the Biden regime, which showed its hostility to Israel from the beginning by restoring aid to the Palestinians after Trump had stopped that aid in view of their continuing support for jihad terror, and which reaffirmed that hostility just days ago, when Old Joe went all the way to Israel to stab our most reliable Middle East ally in the back and announce that he was giving $100 million to Gaza, which means, despite his denials, $100 million to Hamas.

Meanwhile, the Journal adds that “several countries have been trying to leverage their contacts with Hamas to press the militant group to release the hostages taken during their onslaught on Israel earlier this month. One U.S. official had said that Qatar’s government had been very helpful on the matter, but noted the difficulties of reaching an agreement given Israel’s bombardment of Gaza and the spiraling humanitarian crisis there.”

Yeah, that may be gumming up the works. Another problem may be that Qatar is quite chummy with Hamas. On the day of the jihad massacres in Israel, Hamas leaders were videoed in a plush office in Qatar, watching news of the attacks and then getting down on their knees to give thanks to Allah for the wanton butchery of Israeli civilians. Qatar is a principal backer of the Muslim Brotherhood. In its charter, Hamas (which is an acronym for Islamic Resistance Movement) states: “The Islamic Resistance Movement is one of the wings of the Muslim Brotherhood in Palestine.”

So how can Qatar be “very helpful” in getting Hamas to release the hostages? Only in ways that benefit Hamas and harm Israel. One way to do that is for Qatari negotiators to drag their feet in carrying out negotiations over these hostages, giving Hamas time to prepare for an Israeli ground invasion. In making these preparations, they can likely use material that was delivered on the trucks full of “humanitarian aid” that Old Joe Biden strong-armed Benjamin Netanyahu into allowing through; Old Joe’s “humanitarian aid” to the Palestinians has been diverted to friends of terrorists before.

Every day the ground incursion is delayed, in fact, aids Hamas by giving it time to strengthen its defenses, set traps for Israeli soldiers, and stir up its populace with even more Jew-hatred and bloodlust than they get in ordinary times. At this point, it isn’t even completely certain that there will be any ground operation in Gaza at all, despite the fact that there can be no definitive end of Hamas without one, and so the bloody events of Oct. 7 will just be replayed on another day.

If, after all the delays, Israel does finally enter Gaza with ground troops, its operation will be hamstrung from the beginning. There will immediately be reports of civilian casualties. These reports don’t bother to inform the public that Hamas deliberately stages attacks from civilian areas in order to draw retaliatory fire it can use for propaganda purposes. Old Joe and his henchmen will immediately denounce Israel’s “disproportionate” response and call upon it to show “restraint,” while self-righteously reminding Netanyahu about “international law” that he is supposedly ignoring.

In reality, Israel has been called the most moral army in the world and takes immense care to avoid civilian casualties. Those casualties will come, however, if the Gaza ground operation ever does begin. Hamas will make sure of that. And then Israel will have to endure a chorus of international condemnation that may end up making it end operations short of its goal. That will mean the loss of more innocent lives in the future. But hey, endangering people and mortgaging their future — that’s what Old Joe Biden does.

CBS and CNN Give Sympathetic Air Time to a Murderous Antisemitic Gazan

Unfortunately, CBS and CNN did not perform due diligence when they recently allowed on to their news programs a woman from Gaza, Dunia Abu Rahma, whose bloodcurdling hatred of Israel and of Jews has now been revealed by those at HonestReporting who investigated her social media posts. More on her television appearances, and her views, can be found here: “CNN & NBC Give Airtime to Woman Who Celebrated Hamas Massacre & Wished Hitler Had Finished the Job,” by Chaim Lax, HonestReporting, October 19, 2023:

…Dunia Abu Rahma, a 22-year-old architecture student from Gaza, has appeared in recent days on both CNN’s Anderson Cooper 360 and NBC News to tell her story.

Abu Rahma told the veteran CNN reporter Anderson Cooper, “All I want them to know is that there are civilians, people who wish to live a normal, peaceful life, to feel safe, because we are human, and all we want is to have our rights and live peacefully. As a woman and as a girl, all I want in this life [is] to educate and to graduate and have a job and have a family.”…

Sounds nice, doesn’t it? All she wants the public to know is that she, and all the Palestinians, only want to “live a normal peaceful life.” All they want is their “rights and to live peacefully.” But she’s lying. That’s not what she wants. She wants, her many social media posts reveal, for the Jewish state to disappear, and for the Jews — not only Israelis — to be killed.

Throughout Hamas’ October 7 slaughter, Dunia Abu Rahma both tweeted and reposted several tweets supporting the massacres.

Soon after the Hamas assault began in the early morning, Abu Rahma tweeted “Good morning. I wanted them to loot and liberate the country in my graduation year.”

A couple of hours later, she posted two tweets in succession. One read: “He really freed the prisoners!” This is presumably a reference to the hordes of Hamas terrorists and local Gazans who were rampaging through Israeli communities at the time.

The second post was a quote tweet of a video of a brutal lynching of an Israeli soldier on the streets of Gaza with the caption: “On my own, I go down and beat him with them.”

Yes, she missed the fun of joining a bunch of Hamas goons in tormenting and torturing — and almost certainly killing — a lone Israeli soldier. Too bad she couldn’t have been there. She can dream, can’t she?

Later, she tweeted happily about the border with Israel being overrun, saying in one tweet that she was planning on transferring from her university in Gaza to Bir Zeit (a university in the West Bank) and tweeting later that “In this case, we will pray at Al-Aqsa [in Jerusalem] next Friday.”

On October 7, Dunia Abu Rahma also reposted several tweets by other accounts celebrating the carnage.

One read: “It looks like a blessed Saturday, people of Palestine, good morning” while another mentioned that “One’s heart flutters with joy with every missile that comes out.”

And her heart, too, fluttered with joy, as rocket after rocket was launched from Gaza into the cities of southern Israel. How many Jewish deaths, how much Jewish destruction!

She also reposted an image allegedly of Hamas taking IDF captives captioned “Blessed October” as well as an image of a bloodied Israeli female teenager being manhandled by terrorists with a caption justifying the vicious treatment of Israeli women by Hamas….

Yes, how exciting, how exhilarating, seeing IDF soldiers taken captive, and even more wonderful to see brave fighters of Hamas tormenting them, or better still, having their way with Israeli girls, raping them to their hearts’ content. How good to see the yahudim brought low, tormented, tortured, and killed!

In one tweet, Abu Rahma posts “May God forgive you, Hitler. I wish you had finished with this group of people who went astray.”…

No ambiguity there. It’s language from the Qur’an: The Jews are “those who went astray.” And here is Dunia Abu Rahma, wishing that Hitler had not just murdered six million of them, but finished with all of them. What does Anderson Cooper think, now that he realizes he had on as a guest someone who praises Hitler for murdering Jews, and only wishes he had stayed in power long enough to finish the job?

In December 2021, she shared a video of a soccer game between Algeria and Tunisia and captioned it “The house of the Jews will be destroyed.”

In other words, so obsessive was Abu Rahma’s genocidal hatred of Jews that even a soccer match between two Arab teams, having nothing to do with Israel or Jews, could manage to set her off: “The house of the Jews will be destroyed.”

Along with her antisemitic posts, Dunia Abu Rahma has also called for the destruction of Israel.

Following a tweet that said, “We want a truce,” Abu Rahma commented “We want to get rid of it,” referring to Israel….

Abu Rahma makes clear she wants Israel to disappear. There is no other interpretation of her rejecting the possibility of a truce, and instead insisting that “we [the Palestinians] want to get rid of it.” Rid of Israel, that is.

She wants Israel in the future to disappear, so that “from the river to the sea” there will again be only the Arab state of Palestine. But there never was an Arab state of Palestine. Abu Rahma does not realize that Jews lived in this same area for at least 3000 years — that is, 1600 years before there was a single Muslim Arab in the Land of Israel or, indeed, anywhere.

What happened here was a failure of due diligence. Though both NBC News and CNN have enormous staffs, apparently no one thought it necessary to look into Dunia Abu Rahma’s own views before providing her with sympathetic airtime. Had they done so, they would have discovered she shares the views of Hamas, that is, an annihilationist attitude toward Israel. And they might then have chosen some other Gazans, less fanatical in their hatred of Israel, and of Jews, to interview. Perhaps they’ve learned a lesson at CNN and NBC News, now that Abu Rahma’s mental makeup has been exposed. They need to thoroughly check the social media posts of possible guests from Gaza. Will they do it? Knowing the American media, I doubt it.
