Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Tuesday that the recent Friday meeting at the Oval Office in the White House was “regrettable,” adding that he’s now ready to work toward peace.

“My team and I stand ready to work under President Trump’s strong leadership to achieve a peace that lasts,” Zelensky wrote in a Tuesday post on social media, going on to say that the meeting “did not go the way it was supposed to.”

“None of us wants an endless war. Ukraine is ready to come to the negotiating table as soon as possible to bring lasting peace closer. Nobody wants peace more than Ukrainians. My team and I stand ready to work under President Trump’s strong leadership to achieve a peace that lasts,” Zelensky continued.

“We are ready to work quickly to end the war, and the first stages could be the release of prisoners and truce in the sky – ban on missiles, long-ranged drones, bombs on energy and other civilian infrastructure — and truce in the sea immediately, if Russia will do the same. We want to move very quickly through all the next stages and work with the US to agree a strong final deal.”

“We really do value how much America has done to help Ukraine maintain its sovereignty and independence. And we remember the moment when things changed, when President Trump provided Ukraine with Javelins. We are grateful for this.”

“Our meeting in Washington, at the White House on Friday, did not go the way it was supposed to be. It is regrettable that it happened this way. It is time to make things right. We would like future cooperation and communication to be constructive.”

Zelensky ended his lengthy post by asserting that Ukraine is ready to sign the previously proposed “minerals and security” deal.

“We see this agreement as a step toward greater security and solid security guarantees, and I truly hope it will work effectively,” Zelensky concluded.

Zelensky’s announcement follows after President Donald Trump paused all military aid to Ukraine after the back-and-forth arguments in the Oval Office on Friday.

The meeting on Friday between President Trump, Vice President JD Vance, and Zelensky was intended to end with an agreed upon minerals deal. The result of the meeting, however, ended instead with Zelensky attempting to yell over President Trump and Vice President JD Vance, asserting that the U.S. would eventually “feel the effects of the war” — seemingly threatening that the U.S. must continue its flow of aid.

Following the meeting, President Trump directed Zelensky to leave the White House without a deal being signed, adding that he can return “when he’s ready for peace.”

Meanwhile, following the contentious meeting, some European leaders have begun to coalesce in support of Ukraine or, at the very least, have articulated rhetoric signaling its fullest solidarity with the nation—albeit belatedly, given that the United States has already extended more aid than any other country globally.

U.K. Prime Minister Keir Starmer, along with French President Emmanuel Macron, proposed a 30 day freeze on all strikes from the air and sea — as well as on energy infrastructure.

The month-long pause on strikes would theoretically provide a window to negotiate a more concrete peace deal with Moscow.

Oct. 7: Hamas ‘cut off organs and took them to Gaza in order to trade with them in future hostage negotiations’

These are the people to whom the U.S. and U.K. are pressuring Israel to surrender.

“‘They cut off organs’: Interrogator reveals Hamas terrorists’ Oct. 7 atrocities,” by Shlomi Heller, Jerusalem Post, April 4, 2024:

“We interrogated hate-filled terrorists who were trading body parts of those murdered on October 7. They took a knife and murdered everyone in their wake. "They cut off organs and took them to Gaza in order to trade with them in future hostage negotiations,” said “R,” a company commander in the Lahav 433 Unit and Superintendent Yaron Binyamin, in a conversation with Israeli Police spokesperson, Commander Eli Levy.

In a special interview for the “Police News” program, Superintendent Binyamin spoke about the investigations of Nukhba terrorists who committed brutal crimes on October 7, which included murder, massacre, rape, abuse of corpses, and the kidnapping of soldiers and civilians while setting fire to occupants’ houses.

“I say to those who deny the crimes committed by Nukhba terrorists that at the end of six months of investigation, there is no doubt at all about the number of horrible crimes they committed on October 7. Today, we understand this through the testimony of the terrorists who themselves carried out the terrible massacre,” said Binyamin….

Hamas-linked CAIR top dog: Muslims ‘willing to negotiate’ with Biden regime about Palestine, Yemen, and Kashmir

Nihad Awad of the Hamas-linked Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) is threatening to withhold Muslim votes from Old Joe and his fellow corruptocrats unless they fall into line and support the global jihad more wholeheartedly. And they’re falling into line. The Biden regime has already begun to betray Israel, and more is coming.

“CAIR Executive Director Nihad Awad In Dearborn, Michigan: No Party Should Take Muslim-American Voters For Granted; We Invite President Biden To Negotiate With Us On Changing His Policies On Palestine, Yemen, Kashmir,” MEMRI, February 26, 2024:

Source: Online Platforms – “American Moslem Society (Masjid Dearborn) on YouTube”
Nihad Awad, executive director of CAIR the Council on American-Islamic Relations spoke at the American Moslem Society (Masjid Dearborn) on February 25, 2024, ahead of the Democratic presidential primary elections in Michigan. He urged his audience to vote “uncommitted” in the primaries in order to send the message to Biden that Muslims will never vote for him. He said that Muslim voters should not be taken for granted by any political party, and he emphasized that the political parties should also focus on Muslim interests.

Awad said that Muslim Americans are willing to negotiate with President Biden, his administration, or his campaign on changing their policies towards Palestine, Yemen, and other issues, such as Kashmir. He said that the “Zionist lobby” has been able to influence American lawmakers to pass resolutions benefiting Israel. Awad explained that the reason for this “moral and political corruption” is that institutions have been able to “buy the loyalty” of these lawmakers. He continued to suggest that instead of American Muslims spending money on humanitarian aid, they should spend money on “those who make political decision here,” and avoid the destruction caused by America altogether. The talk was streamed live on the mosque’s YouTube channel.

Nihad Awad: “Do the upcoming elections affect what is happening in Gaza? The answer is a million percent “yes,’ because what is happening in Gaza now is happening with the consent, arming, support, justification, and protection of the U.S. administration, the administration of President Biden. He is doing that because he thinks that since he is the president, he has the right to do so, because he is managing the affairs of the country. But who put him in the White House? The voters, including the Muslim voters in Michigan.

[…]

“Now the responsibility is yours once again, do you understand? The responsibility to express your indignation at this unjust president who is financing this crime is yours once again.

[…]

“The Zionist lobby, or the pro-Israel lobby, was able to influence the Congress and the Senate to pass resolutions that give Israel $14 billion, regardless of the massacres. What is the reason for this moral and political corruption? It is because some institutions have managed to amass money over the years, and buy the loyalty of those [lawmakers]. The solution is that we liberate their loyalty from political corruption.

[…]

“You can send a very powerful message next Tuesday by choosing the ‘uncommitted’ option. This is a powerful message – the Muslims in Michigan are saying to [Biden]: ‘We will never vote for you, you will not get our trust.’ What will happen if this message is received on Tuesday evening? I expect that either the President changes his policy towards the war in Gaza and demands a ceasefire, or there will be pressure on him from the Democratic Party to resign and nominate another candidate, because Muslims anywhere in the U.S. will not vote for him.

[…]

“Subsequently, if President Biden, his administration, or his campaign want to negotiate with us after receiving a clear message, we will negotiate with them about changing his policies on Palestine, Yemen, and many other issues. Gaza is only the spearhead. It is the start. It exposes (people’s views).

“But beyond Gaza, there is Yemen, there is the Arab and Islamic world, and there are Muslim minorities that are suffering in India and in Kashmir.

[…]

“No political party should take our votes for granted. At the end of the day, we are Muslim voters, not Democrat or Republican voters. We are focusing on our interests, and they should focus on our interests, too. This message is not intended for Biden alone, but to the Democratic Party in its entirety and to the Republican Party as well.

[…]

“Do you know how much Muslims in the U.S. spend on humanitarian aid? Give me a number. It is about $1.5 billion.

[…]

“In other words, the Muslims in America are sending their money to rebuild what the U.S. has destroyed. Why? Because we do not have enough political power here to prevent those unjust policies that bring about killing, destruction, and displacement. We, as Muslims here, are acting the other way around. Instead of preventing the catastrophe from happening, we wait until it happens, and then we deal with it over there. We do this time after time. But brothers, we spend $1.5 billion on what is called ‘the aftermath.’ Why don’t we spend just $50 million on those who make the political decisions here, and save the Islamic nation from the killing, death, and destruction?”

Sen. Elizabeth Warren Demands Israel Negotiate ‘Peace’ With Hamas

“Stop bombing Gaza. Resume the cease-fire. Work toward a permanent peace.”

Unlike Obama, the leftist alternatives to him were always constructs, as much invented by the Left as of the Left.

Sen. Bernie Sanders was a more conventional old-school Marxist until he suddenly became famous and his base forced him to pay homage to identity politics, endorse open borders (both things he used to oppose) and hold AOC’s purse.

Sen. Elizabeth Warren fancied herself an old-school liberal socialist wonk after being a Republican and libertarian for a while. One way to measure how far she’s come is to look at her back in 2014 when she was just exploring the possibility of taking on Hillary.

Warren said Hamas has attacked Israel “indiscriminately,” but with the Iron Dome defense system, the missiles have “not had the terrorist effect Hamas hoped for.” When pressed by another member of the crowd about civilian casualties from Israel’s attacks, Warren said she believes those casualties are the “last thing Israel wants.”

“But when Hamas puts its rocket launchers next to hospitals, next to schools, they’re using their civilian population to protect their military assets. And I believe Israel has a right, at that point, to defend itself,” Warren said, drawing applause.

Fast forward to 2023, and Warren is complaining that Facebook is censoring Hamas supporters, and just tweeted that…

“Netanyahu & his right-wing war cabinet have created a humanitarian catastrophe, killing thousands of Palestinian civilians. Israel needs leadership that will bring the hostages home, not wage months of war. Stop bombing Gaza. Resume the cease-fire. Work toward a permanent peace.”

Bernie Sanders has said similar things, but he’s refused (thus far) pressure from the Left to call for a “ceasefire”. Why?

“Lastly, Hamas has been very clear, both before its barbaric attack on October 7th and after that attack, that their goal is perpetual warfare and the destruction of Israel. Just last week a spokesman for Hamas, Mr. Taher El-Nounou, told the New York Times, “I hope that the state of war with Israel will become permanent on all the borders, and that the Arab world will stand with us.” I am not quite sure how you negotiate a ceasefire with a terrorist organization that is dedicated to perpetual war.”

Sanders has become more vocally anti-Israel throughout the months after Oct 7, and has called for no military support for Israel, but so far he hasn’t endorsed the big lie of a ceasefire in which Hamas gets to attack Israel while the Jews don’t get to fight back.

Warren has.

Sen. Warren has called for a “ceasefire”. There was one in play before Oct 7. And during the humanitarian truce that she endorsed so loudly, Hamas carried out a terrorist attack that killed a pregnant woman, a school worker and an elderly Rabbi.

Not only doesn’t Sen. Warren care, but she’s urging “work toward a permanent peace.” With whom? Hamas.
