Biden Regime State Department Makes No Mention of 9/11 on International Day of Remembrance for Terror Victims

It’s as if terrorism were someone else’s problem.

It was a given that the commemoration of the International Day of Remembrance and Tribute to the Victims of Terrorism would contain no mention of the group responsible for the majority of that terrorism.

But the Biden administration has gone one better by making no mention of 9/11 or any terrorist attacks that were carried out against Americans. Instead, a boilerplate statement, “We pay solemn tribute to those who lost their lives in terrorist attacks, and we will never forget the victims of terrorism or stop our pursuit of justice and peace.”

It’s as if terrorism were someone else’s problem with no relationship to anything that happened to America.

At the third commemoration, there was an event involving the 9/11 museum and memorial. No mention of it now.

But then again all of this comes as Biden has been aggressively freeing terrorists from Gitmo and financing Islamic terrorism through Iran.

So you can see why this administration, which has robbed terror victims, would also want to dismiss them.

“On the same day as Biden’s executive order reserving $3.5 billion for the terrorists, his Justice Department filed a statement of interest in court arguing that the judgment for the victims of terrorism was too large and that actually turning over the money to them would interfere with the Biden administration’s foreign policy in Afghanistan.”

This is what evil looks like.

Biden regime pays $6,000,000,000 to Iran for hostages, but deal doesn’t include three US residents still held there~Republican Senators Demand Answers On $6 Billion Prisoner Swap With Iran

This opens the door for the Biden regime to pay even more American taxpayer dollars to the mullahs. It seems as if in every case, the regime takes a course of action that will impoverish and harm Americans, rather than foster their security and prosperity.

Also, paying huge amounts for hostages will only encourage more hostage-taking.

“Biden admin accused of abandoning 3 US residents held in Iran as part of ‘ransom’ payment to the regime,” by Benjamin Weinthal, Fox News, August 21, 2023:

The Biden administration is under fire from the families of U.S. residents taken hostage by Iran’s regime over a controversial $6 billion prisoner exchange deal that allegedly hung their loved ones out to dry.

Three U.S. residents – Shahab Dalili, Jamshid Sharmahd and Afshin Sheikholeslami Vatani – are classified as U.S. nationals, according to the Levinson Act, said legal experts, and are not part of Biden’s deal.

The Levinson Act defines a “United States national” as a “lawful permanent resident with significant ties to the United States.” According to the State Department, the definition applies to non-U.S. citizens.

The son of Dalili, Darian, who lives in Virginia, told Fox News Digital last week, “My father and I both were on hunger strike for 4 days from Saturday noon until last night. He wasn’t going to end it unless I did. Out of concern for his health and calls from family members and the Iranian-American community, I ended it.”

In a text message to Fox News Digital, Darian said the Biden administration abandoned his father.

“They have included two unnamed prisoners in this deal with Iran who have been there for only a matter of months and have excluded him who’s been there for seven years and keep saying that they haven’t reached a decision on the unlawful designation matter. How could that take seven years? They have never provided us with an answer on why it is taking so long. We have asked repeatedly,” Darian said.

The clerical regime arrested the now-60-year-old Dalili in 2016 after he attended his father’s funeral in Iran. The Islamic Republic charged him with “communications with a hostile country.”

American counterterrorism experts have long said Iran uses bogus charges against foreign citizens and Iranian dual nationals as part of its hostage policy to extract concessions from the West. The New York Sun first reported extensively on Darian’s protest and the plight of his father. He told the New York Sun that “my father has never been a political figure. He has never done anything political” and was only seized because of his America identity.

The failure to include journalist Sharmahd, who was sentenced to death in February by an opaque Iranian judicial system, in the deal has also raised alarm bells. Sharmahd survived an assassination attempt in California in which an Iranian agent was convicted of the planned murder. He was then kidnapped by the Iranian regime in Dubai in 2020 as part of a business trip.

Speaking from California, Sharmahd’s daughter, Gazelle, told Fox News Digital, “My dad chose the United States as his home, worked hard, followed all the rules, belongs to a family of four generations around him of U.S. citizenship, lived here for 20 years as a tax-paying, law-abiding resident and would already have his citizenship if it wasn’t for the terrorists and qualifies as a U.S. national under the Levinson law. How heartless can you be to leave such a man in the hands of his kidnappers and say, ‘Oh well, let Germany handle it.”

Gazelle was responding to a comment made by principal deputy State Department spokesperson Vedant Patel at a press briefing last week that was sent to Fox News Digital by the State Department.

“So Mr. Sharmahd is a German citizen, and I will leave it to our partners in Germany to speak to his situation. What I can say is that the Iranian regime’s treatment of Mr. Sharmahd has been reprehensible. He has been sentenced to death after a legal proceeding that has been widely criticized as a sham trial. And we condemn this kind of treatment in the strongest of terms,” said Patel.

Gazelle, who met with Darian Dalili last week by the State Department, fired back at Patel’s statement, “This is disgusting, inhumane and illegal. The State Department does not only have a moral but also a legal duty to save my dad, especially in a situation where he could face imminent execution if he is left behind.”…

Republican Senators Demand Answers On $6 Billion Prisoner Swap With Iran

Demonstrating yet again their ineptitude, the Bidenites have let themselves be hornswoggled by those masters at bazaari bargaining, the gimlet-eyed hagglers of the Islamic Republic of Iran. in a deal that should leave us all in despair, the Bidenites have agreed to have South Korea unfreeze $6 billion in Iranian assets it had been holding, and to deliver the money to Tehran, which, in turn, will let six Iranian-American hostages go free. That’s one billion dollars apiece. What a deal! More than two dozen Republican Senators have now written a letter to Secretary of State Blinken and Secretary of the Treasury Yellen about the deal, questioning both its wisdom and its legality. More on the letter, and Secretary Blinken’s weak response, can be found here: “Senators Demand Answers From Biden Administration on $6 Billion Iran Prisoner Deal,” by Andrew Bernard, Algemeiner, August 18, 2023:

More than two dozen Republican Senators on Friday sent a letter to top Biden administration officials challenging their decision to unfreeze $6 billion in Iranian assets to secure the release of five Americans held by the Islamic Republic.

When the Obama administration released $400 million in liquidated assets to Iran in 2016, we warned that this dangerous precedent would put a price on American lives,” the 26 lawmakers wrote to US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and US Secretary of the Treasury Janet Yellen. “Seven years later, the current administration is providing a ransom payment worth at least 15 times that amount to the world’s largest state sponsor of terror, in yet another violation of the United States’ long-standing ‘no concessions’ policy.”

The State Department announced the deal last week after Iran moved the prisoners to house arrest as the first stage of securing their release. Blinken said at a press conference that Iran was not receiving sanctions relief under the deal and that the rogue regime could only use the unlocked funds for humanitarian purposes.

“Iran will not be receiving any sanctions relief,” Blinken said. “And in any instance where we would engage in such efforts to bring Americans home from Iran, Iran’s own funds would be used and transferred to restricted accounts such that the monies can only be used for humanitarian purposes, which, as you know, is permitted under our sanctions. There’s an exemption for humanitarian that’s there from the start.”

This justification offered by Blinken of a rotten deal — that the $6 billion in unfrozen assets can only be used by Iran for “humanitarian purposes” — is nonsense. Money is, as the Senators deigned to point out in their reply to Blinken, fungible. Those six billion dollars can be used to buy food and medicine — “humanitarian items” — thus freeing up exactly six billion dollars that had been earmarked for such expenses, but will no longer be needed. And so those six billion dollars, now supplanted by these of which the Senators complained, can be used to pay for weapons to be sent to the Houthis in Yemen, Hezbollah in Lebanon, and Hamas in Gaza. And not just weapons, but money too, can be sent to Iran’s allies and proxies in the region. Finally, how much of those six billion undeserved dollars will Iran now spend on its nuclear program, on more, and more advanced, centrifuges, on supplies of uranium, and on the ballistic missiles that will carry those nuclear warheads not only to Israel but also, if Tehran so decides, to Saudi oil fields, or to American bases in the Middle East and Europe.

According to press reports, the money will be transferred from South Korea, where it had been frozen, to banks in Qatar. The prisoner release could be completed by mid-September.

That gives the Republican Senators little more than a month to try to apply pressure, aided by an informed and therefore aroused public, to try to stop this deal from being consummated.

Friday’s letter [August 18], which was led by Sens. Tim Scott (R-SC) and James Risch (R-ID), poses a series of questions to the Biden administration about some of the claims that Blinken and others have made about the deal.

“Financial assets are fungible,” the letter says. “How can your departments guarantee that the funds will only be used for humanitarian purposes and will not free up additional resources that the Iranian regime can use to support terrorist networks and weapons proliferation, or increase its nuclear enrichment activities?”…

We are also worried that your administration is attempting to sidestep Congress and pursue other pathways to financially compensate Iran in an attempt to renegotiate a successor to the ill-fated 2015 nuclear deal,” the Republican senators wrote. “Any agreement with the Iranian regime that entails financial reward for malign behavior is wholly unacceptable.”…

The financial reward in this deal is certainly for “malign behavior” — the seizure by Iran of innocent American citizens on trumped-up charges, in order to use them as hostages, precisely in the hope that they would someday prove valuable in a trade with the US. Another example of “bad behavior” is Iran’s nuclear program, which the Iranians have continued to work on for decades, despite all their solemn undertakings to halt or slow down the program. The program has been intermittently slowed down only by the ever-vigilant Israelis, who have used cyberwarfare (Stuxnet), sabotage (at Natanz, twice), and assassination (of five of Iran’s most important nuclear scientists). Had it not been for Israel, Iran would by now have several nuclear weapons that we keep assuming would be used only on Israel, but would also likely be used on Saudi oilfields or, still more plausibly, on American bases in the region and even, just possibly, in Europe.

How disingenuous of Blinken to claim that this $6 billion handed over to Iran will “only be used for humanitarian purposes,” when everyone in Washington, Jerusalem, and Tehran knows that these six billion dollars supposedly to be spent only on “humanitarian” goods and services (food, medicine) will free up an equal amount that previously would have had to be spent by Iran’s government on “humanitarian” aid for its people, but can now be spent on other things. First, that money will be spent on weapons, and financial support provided to Iran’s allies and proxies across the Middle East, from the Houthis in Yemen to Hezbollah in Lebanon to Hamas in Gaza. Second, and even more disturbing, a great part of that six billion dollars will go toward Iran’s nuclear project, to boost enrichment facilities, and to pay for ballistic missiles able to carry a nuclear weapon.

And this six-billion-dollar ransom shows just how eager the Bidenites are to conclude a much larger, much more disastrous deal, in which they will lift the sanctions on Iran in return for hollow promises from Tehran not to enrich “any more” uranium to weapons grade. As Iran already has enough uranium enriched to 60%, just one step below weapons grade so that it could build, within just a few weeks, several nuclear weapons. The six-billion-dollar deal is an earnest of the much bigger deal to follow if the Bidenites are not prevented from going through with this one. Sanctions relief, as the Bidenites are clearly eager to provide, will give Iran immediate access to another $131 billion, which can fuel Iranian aggression not only in the Middle East, from Yemen to Lebanon, but also help underwrite Iranian alliances outside of that area, from Russia, Iran’s new BFF, to the five “Stans” of Central Asia, to Venezuela.

Let Secretary Blinken come before a Congressional committee to be grilled on the wisdom of this deal, and on his claim that the six billion dollars delivered to Iran will “only” be spent on humanitarian purposes. The argument about the fungibility of the money to be given to Iran is one any simpleton, but apparently not Antony Blinken, can grasp. Then let the Senators grilling Blinken describe what Iran will do with the $131 billion in sanctions relief that the feckless Bidenites are eager to provide the Islamic Republic. Such a public discussion should prove most enlightening for the American public, as well as damning for the Bidenites.

Biden’s DOJ Asks SCOTUS to Gut the 2nd Amendment in 67-Page Brief

Constitutional attorney Mark W. Smith, a member of the United States Supreme Court Bar, breaks down the recent DOJ Brief regarding the USA v. Rahimi. Follow Mark as we do on YouTube at The Four Boxes Diner.

In a notable development, the United States Department of Justice (DOJ) has submitted a significant brief (67+ pages, embedded below) to the United States Supreme Court in the case of the United States of America vs. Zaki Rahimi. The focus of this case is the constitutionality of 18 USC 922 G8, which pertains to domestic violence restraining orders and their alignment with the Second Amendment.

Mark Smith, a constitutional attorney, suggests that the DOJ, representing the Biden Administration, is arguing for extensive interpretation measures. The contention seems to be that the Second Amendment allows Congress and other legislative bodies the power to disarm individuals [aka “infringe”] deemed not “Law-abiding” or “responsible.” The criteria for such judgments, as outlined in the brief, could range from minor infractions like jaywalking to more serious criminal activities.

The broad implications of such an interpretation might leave a vast number of citizens without the right to keep and bear arms.

Central to the case is Zaki Rahimi’s incident from December 2019, where he allegedly assaulted his girlfriend and threatened a witness with a firearm. The event resulted in a restraining order against Rahimi in February 2020 after he ostensibly admitted to the accusations.

The Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals previously held that the federal law in question in Zaki Rahimi’s case was in violation of the Second Amendment. Still, the DOJ’s arguments seem to lean heavily on connecting firearms with domestic violence, potentially setting a precedent for justifying ‘red flag’ laws. Their position leans on the Heller case from 2008, which identified the rights of “law-abiding and responsible” individuals to bear arms.

The DOJ attempts to spin its argument based on three main talking points, all taken out of legal and historical context:

  1. Previous court precedents distinguished between law-abiding citizens and those deemed otherwise.
  2. Historical precedents allowed for disarmament during the founding era, citing laws that existed during the period.
  3. Arguing that the majority of American states have similar domestic restraining orders suggests a national consensus.

Critics rightfully argue that simply because many states have implemented certain rules doesn’t automatically affirm their constitutionality.

This shocking 67-page brief from the DOJ would be a significant shift in interpreting the Second Amendment. Whether this unconstitutional human rights grab prevails will be determined by the Supreme Court in its upcoming deliberations.

Joe Biden Is a Narcissist, Not an Empath

AP Photo/Evan Vucci
President Joe Biden, we keep hearing, is a deeply empathetic man. It is that empathy that brought him to the presidency — his deep and abiding capacity to connect with others. In “What It Takes,” Richard Ben Cramer’s detailed blow-by-blow of the 1988 election cycle, Ben Cramer describes Biden’s ability to “connect” as his greatest supposed skill. This has been the pitch for Biden for decades: not much in the way of brains, not a tremendously resourceful politician, awkward on his feet — but he cares. In the words of Mark Gitenstein, Biden’s 1988 speechwriter and a four-decade adviser, “His ability to communicate with people in pain is maybe his most powerful strength.”Or maybe, just maybe, Biden was never an empathetic man. Maybe he simply trafficked in ersatz empathy, all the while feeding his own narcissism.

That story certainly looks more plausible these days.

This week, Biden visited Maui. He did so nearly two weeks after the worst wildfire in modern American history killed hundreds of Americans. Meanwhile, Biden vacationed in Delaware on the beach, telling reporters he had “no comment” on the situation; he then jet-set off to Lake Tahoe before finally heading to Lahaina. Once he reached Hawaii, he proceeded to explain that he felt the pain of those whose family members had been incinerated. After all, he said, one time he experienced a small kitchen fire. “I don’t want to compare difficulties, but we have a little sense, Jill and I, of what it was like to lose a home,” he jabbered. “Years ago, now, 15 years, I was in Washington doing ‘Meet the press’… Lightning struck at home on a little lake outside the home, not a lake or a big pond. It hit the wire and came up underneath our home, into the… air condition ducts. To make a long story short, I almost lost my wife, my ’67 Corvette, and my cat.”

In reality, back in 2004, lightning caused a kitchen fire in Biden’s home that was put out in 20 minutes with no other damage.

If this were an isolated incident, we could chalk it up to Biden’s encroaching senility. But it isn’t. After presiding over the botched pullout from Afghanistan that resulted in the return of the Taliban, the murder of 13 American servicemembers, the abandonment of hundreds of American citizens and thousands of American green card holders, and the subjugation of some tens of millions of women, Biden essentially shrugged. Then, when faced with the families of wounded and killed American soldiers, he attempted to “feel their pain” by invoking the death of his son, Beau. According to Cheryl Rex, whose son died in the Abbey Gate bombing of Aug. 26, 2021, “His words to me were, ‘My wife, Jill, and I know how you feel. We lost our son as well and brought him home in a flag-draped coffin.'”

Biden has cited Beau in similar instances multiple times.

In the Jewish community, the death of a loved one is followed by shiva, a seven-day period of mourning. During shiva, mourners don’t leave their homes; they are instead cared for by the community, and provided with food and communal prayer. Members of the community visit the Shiva house to provide comfort.

The first rule of visiting a Shiva house: Don’t talk about your own experiences with death or pain. It’s gauche irrelevant and trivializing.

Yet this is Biden’s first move.

Empathy is the quality of putting yourself in the place of others. But Biden isn’t an empath. He’s someone who believes that everyone else’s pain is merely a reflection of his own.

Tearful Gold Star Mom Wanted Comfort From Biden; Here’s What She Got Instead

Tearful Gold Star Mom Wanted Comfort From Biden; Here's What She Got Instead

Tearful Gold Star Mom Wanted Comfort From Biden; Here's What She Got Instead
AP Photo/Andrew Harnik
A Gold Star mom who met with President Joe Biden on Memorial Day following the death of her son during the troop withdrawal debacle from Afghanistan stated that he responded to her pain and agony by suggesting she take a picture with him while she bawled her eyes out during their meeting. And this, ladies and gentlemen, is supposed to be our example of compassion? Seriously? A leather shoe has more compassion than the president.

Instead of offering this woman words of comfort, apologizing for the mess that led to his death, and embracing her, he sees the weeping woman as a photo opportunity. How much more despicable can you get?

According to the Daily Wire:

Army Staff Sgt. Ryan Christian Knauss was killed when a bomber detonated a bomb at Kabul’s international airport on August 26, 2021, killing 13 American soldiers. His mother, Paula Knauss Selph, the executive director of the Respect and Remember Foundation, met Biden in the Oval Office at an event for Gold Star families in Washington, D.C. on Memorial Day 2022.

“There’s been a lot of grief, a lot of grief,” the mother went on to say during an interview with The Daily Mail. “There’s nothing like watching your child die in front of you, in front of the world.”

She then recalled the meeting with Biden, revealing that he said, “I can understand if you’re angry.”

“I stood face-to-face with him, eyeball-to-eyeball. I began to weep,” she stated, adding that she told him, “It should have never happened this way.”

“He stood there stoically,” she recounted. “Nothing out of his mouth except — well would you like to get a photo with me?”

Selph told Biden that the only picture she would take with him was if he stood with her at her son’s tombstone at Arlington National Cemetery. She said Biden answered, “I can’t do that because Secret Service won’t let me do that.”

“It’s a moral disgrace for a president not to have mercy on the people that he serves. It is a moral disgrace,” Selph continued, stating that the president thought the “sad occasion” was a “photo op’” instead of an opportunity to provide comfort to a heartbroken mother grieving the death of her child.

“He had the chance to make a difference for my child. On not making decisions and indecisions that cost him his life. And I do hold him accountable,” she finished.

Sleph then went on to speak of her son, who served as a member of the JROTC cadet program before he decided to sign up for the military and serve his country, saying, “Ryan, all of his life was quite certain he wanted to go in the armed forces. And it is a pleasing thing to me. But throughout his life, he kept that focus. He was so disciplined. He was so smart… He was protecting and giving us the opportunity for many people to live out the American dream. That’s what will long outlive all of us.”

How tragic that this woman had to look the man who was responsible for the mess that led to her son’s death right in the eye, and instead of getting words of succor for her wounded heart, received an offer for a photo. Is Biden really this clueless? Is it the possible dementia he suffers from that is causing this sort of callousness? Or is it possible he’s a sociopath of sorts?

Either way, there’s no excuse for treating the families of deceased military members with such a massive lack of compassion. Biden should be absolutely ashamed of himself.

Biden regime insists $6,000,000,000 it is sending to Iran will be used for ‘humanitarian’ purposes

But the regime cannot explain how it can “guarantee the funds would not somehow be funneled into Iran’s terror campaign,” and they will. Money is fungible. If US taxpayer money is used for “humanitarian” purposes in Iran, other money is freed up for the mullahs’ jihad. This isn’t really rocket science here, yet these simple truths repeatedly elude the likes of Vedant Patel.

“US Continues To Evade Details Of Iran Deal,” Iran International, August 15, 2023:

US officials remain tight-lipped on the release of $6bn of frozen funds from South Korea to Iran as questions on its use remain unclear.

In the latest US State Department press briefing, Vedant Patel continued to push the line that the funds would primarily be used for “humanitarian” purposes, in line with the rules surrounding sanctions.

During a barrage of questions from the world’s media, he said: “It’s Iran’s money and allowing Iran to use such funds for humanitarian purposes is consistent with longstanding US policy to ensure that our sanctions do not prevent humanitarian goods and services from flowing to ordinary people no matter how objectionable or problematic their government is.”

However, the big question is, will the “ordinary people” see any benefit of the released funds, or will it simply get channeled into the regime’s military machine. Iranian officials have said that the funds will be transferred into euros once sent to Qatar, which will mean the US will not have a direct way to track wire transfers from accounts in Qatar that hold the money.

Meanwhile, as Iran International reported this week, additional media reports suggest not only a $6 billion release from South Korean banks, but also the unlocking of frozen funds in Iraq (estimated between $11-12 billion) and over $3 billion from Japan. These funds will be held in Qatar and Oman, designated for Iran’s purchases of essential goods such as food, medicine, and other humanitarian items.

In a bid to calm the storm, Patel said “any kinds of funds that move will be subject to the same rigorous restrictions once it moves out of South Korea”.

Attempting to explain the situation, his attempts were not well received. He added: “The reason these funds are in South Korea in the first place is because the previous administration allowed several countries to continue purchasing oil from Iran and to place those funds in special accounts. These funds have been available to Iran to use for humanitarian transactions, like food and medicine, since the previous administration.”

While Patel acknowledged the very real threat which remains of the regime’s destabilizing actions across the Middle East and beyond, including its provision of drones for Russia’s war on Ukraine and the suppression of human rights in Iran, he offered no answers as to how he could guarantee the funds would not somehow be funnelled into Iran’s terror campaign….

The Biden administration has been selling away parts that were made and intended to be used to extend the southern border wall.

According to The New York Post, the unused parts of the border wall that the Biden administration has been quietly auctioning off are worth millions of dollars. Since April, GovPlanet, an online auction house that specializes in military surplus has sold over 80 lots of “square structural tubes.”

The parts that have been sold were intended to be used as vertical bollards in the border wall along the southern border. So far, the auction house has brought in around $2 million from the parts that have been sold.

The move by the Biden administration comes as the Senate passed a Republican-sponsored bill as part of its annual defense appropriation package which is aimed at forcing the president to stem the worsening migrant crisis at the southern border.

The Finish It Act would force the administration to extend the border wall or send the unused material to border states, such as Texas, so they can put them to use along their southern borders.

Republicans have claimed that since President Joe Biden took office, around $300 million worth of taxpayer-funded wall parts have been left unused.

The bill’s sponsor, Senator Roger Wicker (R-Miss.) denounced the decision by the administration to auction the parts away labeling it as “outrageous, behind-the-scenes maneuvering.”

“This sale is a wasteful and ludicrous decision by the Biden administration that only serves as further proof they have no shame,” Wicker told The New York Post.

The GovPlanet website reportedly increased its sales efforts in May when the bill was first introduced, and again just days after the bill passed on a bipartisan vote.

An anonymous source from the auction website told the Daily Upside, a financial newsletter, that they are under instruction to not speak on the issue.

“We are legally not allowed to mention these are the border wall materials, or we could lose our jobs,” the source told the financial newsletter.

In 2021, the Biden administration was criticized for spending around $2 billion on storage costs and termination fees as he tried to cancel the contracts for the border wall that were agreed to under President Donald Trump.

Trump had spent around $15 billion during his presidency to install a total of around 700 miles of border wall after he promised to build “an impenetrable, physical, tall, powerful, beautiful southern border wall.”

On Biden’s first day in office, he canceled the project calling it “a waste of money.”

As the border wall was canceled, illegal immigrants surged across the open border. U.S. Customs and Border Protection documented around 1.7 million migrant encounters along the southern border in fiscal year 2021 and around 2.4 million in 2022.

All the proceeds that GovPlanet receives from auctioning off the border wall parts will be heading back toward the Pentagon’s budget.

White People Suck Again, This Time From Biden’s White Air Force Nominee

White People Suck Again, This Time From Biden's White Air Force Nominee
U.S. Air Force Col. Benjamin R. Jonsson (U.S. Air Force photo by Staff Sgt. Enjoli Saunders/Released)
There are currently almost 300 military officers awaiting promotion by the U.S. Senate.Rather than giving a look-see to each individual up for promotion, busy senators typically give what’s called “unanimous consent” to an entire group of officers at the same time.

Not so fast. Rob Bluey of The Daily Signal reported Thursday that things are changing. Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-Ala.) has been hitting the bat-chute on that for a while. He prefers to look into each officer individually, at least until the Defense Department repeals its abortion policy, which is funded by taxpayer money.

Also important, Tuberville is not a fan of wokeness in the military.

Enter USAF Col. Benjamin Jonsson. He was nominated by *President Biden to be promoted to brigadier general. Col. Jonsson is white. And “woke.”

Col. Jonsson believes the “problem” with the Air Force is “white colonels” like himself—but not really him, just all the other white colonels.

After the death of Saintly George Floyd, Jonsson penned an article for Air Force Times “calling out” his fellow Caucasian USAF colonels.

“As white colonels, you and I are the biggest barriers to change if we do not personally address racial injustice in our Air Force,” Col. Jonsson began.

The letter reeks of being written by a haughty,  green-haired, virtue-signaling white kid who attends high school in an affluent neighborhood.

“Defensiveness is a predictable response by white people to any discussion of racial injustice,” Col. Justice Warrior continued. “White colonels are no exception. We are largely blind to institutional racism, and we take offense to any suggestion that our system advantaged us at the expense of others.

FACT-O-RAMA! Though devoted to crushing what he sees as racist white colonels, Jonsson ignores this article from Air and Space Forces Magazine that came out one month before George Floyd died, detailing the 1,683 sexual assaults in the USAF that took place in 2019.

On cue, Jonsson assumes his pulpit and makes other white people uncomfy.

“That I addressed this letter to white colonels made many of you uneasy, and we have seen similar white defensiveness play out in many of our conversations since the murder of George Floyd,” Jonsson righteously continued.

FACT-O-RAMA! Various military branches removed photographs from officers’ promotional packets in 2020 because they thought they led to “bias” and not enough minorities being promoted. They went back to inserting photos one year later when they realized not enough minorities were being promoted without them. Maybe it wasn’t about race after all?

Jonsson goes on to explain how he hoisted his holiness onto a soapbox to discuss George Floyd’s death and a restaurant that was burned down in the aftermath. He whines that two white colonels made a joke about the restaurant to ameliorate the “social discomfort” his prophetic words caused. Or maybe, just maybe, his sermon was boring enough to put them asleep.

EQUITY-O-RAMA? In Jonsson’s diatribe, he capitalizes the word “black” but not the word “white” when referring to people, proving his goal is probity, not equality.

Like every narcissistic social justice warrior, Jonsson tells the evil crackers how he believes they should redeem themselves and flush the inherent racism from their souls.

“Start by developing a game plan, he preached. “A good primer is to read or listen to the short book, ‘White Fragility: Why It’s So Hard for White People to Talk About Racism,’ by Robin DiAngelo. Dear white colonel, it is time to give a damn. Aim High.”

You can read Jonsson’s obsequious homily here.

As George Carlin said, it’s a big club, and you aren’t in it. Princeton doesn’t care that Malley is an inveterate appeaser who has a clear affinity for Hamas and the Islamic Republic of Iran. If he were unsympathetic to either one or both, Princeton wouldn’t want him. And if the Princeton gig doesn’t work out for Malley, there’s always MSNBC.

“Malley, on leave from US Iran envoy post, to teach at Princeton,” Reuters, August 16, 2023:

WASHINGTON, Aug 16 (Reuters) – Robert Malley, who in June was put on unpaid leave from his post as U.S. special envoy for Iran because his security clearance is under review, will teach a course on foreign policy at Princeton University this fall, Princeton said on Wednesday….

U.S. President Joe Biden tapped Malley in January 2021 to try to revive the 2015 Iran nuclear deal, under which Tehran agreed to limit its nuclear program to make it harder to obtain a nuclear weapon in return for economic sanctions relief.

Malley was not able to resurrect the agreement…

Princeton’s School of Public and International Affairs said in a statement that Malley would teach a graduate course this fall on foreign policy decision-making and one or two undergraduate courses on some combination of diplomacy, negotiation, and foreign policy in the spring.

“While I am on leave from the State Department, I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to work with the next generation of public servants,” Malley said in the statement. “I look forward to my time at Princeton and returning to government service in due course.”

It is unclear when or how the review of Malley’s security clearance may be concluded. According to media reports, Malley’s clearance was suspended amid an investigation of his handling of classified material.

The Biden Administration Brags About Leaving Americans Behind in Afghanistan

The Biden Administration Brags About Leaving Americans Behind in Afghanistan
Drew Angerer/Pool via AP
Nothing defines the disastrous Biden presidency more than the botched withdrawal from Afghanistan. It’s been two years since that watershed moment, which sent Joe Biden’s approval ratings underwater for the first time in his presidency, and that’s where they have remained ever since.

Biden, desperate for a 9/11 anniversary photo op, ignored the advice of his military advisors and lied about the situation on the ground in order to push ahead with a withdrawal that quickly descended into chaos, left 13 U.S. service members dead, and resulted in the government falling, the Taliban taking over, and billions in military equipment and weapons abandoned.

Biden and his administration have repeatedly insisted that they wouldn’t have done anything differently, doubling down every opportunity they get on the absurd claim that the withdrawal was a success, even though countless Americans were left behind when U.S. forces left.

How many exactly did the administration leave behind? An exact number isn’t quite clear because the Biden administration desperately tried to cover up the truth. Biden knew that there were still hundreds — maybe even thousands — of Americans stuck in Taliban-controlled Afghanistan, yet his administration assured the American people otherwise.

Secretary of State Antony Blinken even told Congress that “there were only 100 American citizens left in Afghanistan who wanted to leave.” However, the number of Americans evacuated after the withdrawal grew in the subsequent months, well above that initial 100 number.

Flashback: The Biden Admin Considers Afghanistan Withdrawal a Success. For Real.

Months after the withdrawal, the Senate Foreign Relations Committee released a report showing that as many as 9,000 Americans were left behind in Afghanistan, and a House Foreign Affairs Committee investigation a year after the withdrawal put the number closer to 1,000. Whatever the real number, this wasn’t a case of incompetence. The Biden administration didn’t suddenly find thousands of previously unknown Americans still in the Taliban-controlled country. It knew. And now members of the administration are bragging about it.

On the second anniversary of the botched withdrawal, Secretary of State Antony Blinken actually bragged about the withdrawal, and how “virtually all of the Americans citizens” wanted to leave the country.

“As you know, we brought back virtually all of the American citizens who said they wanted to depart in the course of the withdrawal, and that effort continued well after and continues to this day. And I believe some 900 or so additional American citizens, who told us at one point or another that they wanted to leave, we’ve made sure to get home,” Blinken said in remarks marking the anniversary.

Imagine thinking that bringing home “virtually all” Americans — which is still debatable — is considered a talking point, instead of bringing home all Americans. That’s the Biden administration for you.

Biden Allowed Major Donor to Hand Advanced Military Tech to China

“When I was in another State they would slip and say ‘now I want to introduce the Senator from DuPont–I mean Delaware’”, Joe Biden had joked at a Senate Subcommittee on Crime session.

There’s a certain truth to the joke. DuPont is the corporation that defines Biden’s career. His first Senate bid was staffed with DuPont employees, including future chief-of-staff and senator Ted Kaufman, who was conveniently allowed to take a “leave of absence” from DuPont to help elect Biden. Biden celebrated his victory at the Hotel DuPont and bought a former DuPont mansion.

DuPont figures in a lot of Biden’s stories. He even claims to have gotten on board with gay marriage when his father showed him a gay couple kissing at DuPont. And Biden figures in the latest DuPont story which involves handing over advanced military technology to China.

Last year, DuPont sold off its biomaterials unit to the Huafon Group of China. Huafon, a massive chemical and finance organization,

Biden’s own defense secretary warned that the sale would put technology that could be used for advanced explosives in China’s hands. Those concerns were not unreasonable. DuPont had been born as a gunpowder firm that came to dominate the American defense industry in the 19th century. DuPont was there handling plutonium on the ground floor of the Manhattan Project even though its former president, Irénée du Pont, had admired Hitler. DuPont has since tried to avoid associations with weapons, but its biomaterials had potential military applications.

Houfan, a massive Chinese chemical and finance organization, which dominates the spandex market (spandex was originally developed by DuPont), boasts in its own spandex division that its commitment to “social responsibility” derives from Communist leadership within the company.

The deputy secretary of the Communist Party branch within Houfan was quoted as emphasizing the role of “Communist Party members and youth league members”.

America has been falling behind Communist China in the explosives race. The Ukraine war had demonstrated all too clearly the limitations of our military production capabilities and our reliance on outdated technologies. In 2021, a factory in Louisiana responsible for making all the Pentagon’s black powder blew up. The factory was originally part of DuPont.

China dominates the mass production of CL-20, the deadliest non-nuclear explosive, and America has struggled to catch up. A report during the Trump administration had warned that “China is also the sole source or a primary supplier for a number of critical energetic materials used in munitions and missiles.” Austin and the Pentagon warned about the deadly consequences of handing over DuPont’s technology which, like CL-20, was developed in America, but would be appropriated by China leading to a grave risk of American deaths in possible future conflicts.

Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin has generally been a loyal political soldier. He had previously toed the line on nearly every Biden initiative. But on DuPont, he broke ranks. National security officials tried to meet with Biden to warn him that the DuPont deal might be good for the Delaware company but was bad for America. Biden however refused to meet with them.

And the deal went through. Despite the supposed safeguards which were supposed to prevent Covation Biomaterials, the name of the new Chinese-controlled company, from getting its hands on the production process, it happened anyway. And the FBI launched an investigation.

Nothing is expected to come of that.

This is far from the first time that advanced American technology has fallen into the hands of our enemies in China, but it’s particularly outrageous because top defense officials, including the secretary of defense, had warned of the consequences, and it happened anyway.

And because there is no company closer to Joe Biden than DuPont.

The Biden family had already been involved in the intersection of China and DuPont when Hunter Biden introduced George Duko, a DuPont executive, to a Chinese businessman who had founded a Communist-linked firm. While Hunter has been sidelined, there’s a history there.

DuPont has been kind to Biden, donating $250,000 to his inauguration committee alone, and the Biden family has been kind to DuPont. When Robert H. Richards IV, a DuPont heir, admitted to raping his 3-year-old daughter, Attorney General Beau Biden defended the judge who refused to lock him up because he has “strong family support” and “will not fare well in prison.”

Beau Biden went on to die (of cancer in the United States, not in Iraq, as Joe Biden has repeatedly lied) and the Biden clan decided that the best way to memorialize the man who let a child rapist walk was to set up the Beau Biden Foundation for the Protection of Children. The foundation, currently holding its ‘Child Protection Classic’ at the DuPont Country Club, became famous when laptops bearing its sticker turned up filled with pornographic materials featuring its chairman, Hunter, including allegations of supposed inappropriate behavior with underage girls.

There is no understanding of the Bidens without understanding Delaware and DuPont. The decline of DuPont was a pivotal moment for Joe Biden’s political career. The Bidens have never been national figures and though Joe, his brother, and his son crisscrossed the world, they were always local grifters. DuPont’s troubles caused them to turn to China.

Hunter Biden’s firm had bet on Fisker: one of the companies that the Bidens hoped would replace DuPont. Biden, then Obama’s veep, had announced a $529 million low-interest loan (and another $20 million from the state), to the European electric car company that was supposed to build a massive manufacturing facility in Delaware. Joe Biden had promised that “this is seed money that will return back to the American consumer in billions and billions and billions of dollars in good new jobs.” “It’s our fund that’s in the deal,” Hunter wrote.

An investment banker emailed congratulations to Hunter on Fisker’s purchase of a former Delaware GM plant and offered a “sincere thanks for any and all help provided concerning Fisker”.

Fisker only sold 2,000 of its ‘Karma’ electric cars and went out of business. Americans lost $139 million on the Biden project. One of the $142,000 cars went to Hunter Biden alongside Leonardo DiCaprio and other connected figures. The car was paid for by a Kazakh businessman allied with the regime and with Putin’s Chechen warlord whom Joe and Hunted Biden dined.

With Fisker going under, Hunter turned to Chinese investors. Fisker was gobbled up by Wanxiang. Two executives from the massive Wanxiang Chinese automotive company had met with Joe Biden at the White House that year. Hunter had been financially linked to Wanxiang and an executive who met with Joe Biden emailed Hunter offering to help him get his Fisker fixed.

The fate of Fisker helps shed light on how our national security was sold out with the DuPont deal. Joe and Hunter Biden are far more interested in what’s good for DuPont than what’s good for America. Biden’s decision is likely to increase China’s military edge and weaken our own.

China didn’t have to buy the President of the United States, just the “Senator from DuPont”.

“Iran will have full and direct access to its released assets”

Tough question. Whom do you believe, the terrorists or their accomplices?

After announcing a $6 billion ransom for 5 hostages, the Biden administration is claiming that the money, stored in Qatar, an ally of Iran, will only be used for “humanitarian purposes”.

Iran is denying that.

White House spokesperson John Kirby told reporters that the United States would have “full visibility” into where any released Iranian funds are directed and used. An estimated $6 billion in Iranian assets are now held in South Korea.

“Essentially, the funds can only be accessed for food, medicine, medical equipment that would not have a dual military use,” he said. “And there will be a rigorous process of due diligence and standards applied with input from the U.S. Treasury Department.”

I’m old enough that I remember when Kirby and the administration were promising the same thing in Afghanistan. Then the State Department decided it wouldn’t cooperate with the Afghanistan watchdog or let employees talk to investigators without a lawyer present.

So I’m sure we can trust these fine folks who have never blatantly lied to us before and never will again.

“This is a dishonest claim manufactured by bitter people. Iran will have full and direct access to its released assets, there will be no Qatari companies involved, Iranian banks will have full control, and they can purchase goods and services without any limitation or restriction,” a top advisor to the Iranian negotiating team tweeted.

No need to worry. Humanitarian aid never funds terrorism. Never, ever.

Between January 2012 and March 2018, USAID provided $2.6 billion in funding to public international organizations and an additional $2 billion to NGOs operating in Iraq and Syria. A partial audit by USAID’s Office of the Inspector General of funds given to public international organizations revealed that the agency provided nearly $700 million in awards without an adequate system in place to ensure that members of terrorist groups would not be beneficiaries. As of January 2018, official investigations resulted in the blacklisting of several dozen individuals and organizations and the suspension of at least $239 million in program funds in the region.

Other recipients of American funding have run into difficulty identifying groups with ties to barred terrorist organizations. When such instances come to light — like World Vision’s payment of $125,000 to the Islamic Relief Agency in Sudan, a group with alleged ties to al-Qaeda — publicly available details are often murky.

In August 2016, Israeli prosecutors charged a manager of World Vision’s Gaza branch for allegedly funneling $43 million in funding over a period of six years to Hamas’s military wing.

In 2010, the United Nations investigated the World Food Programme’s operations in Somalia following reports of corruption, piracy, and the diversion of food aid to al-Shabaab. The United Nations identified a food aid fraud scheme in which approximately 30 percent of food aid was diverted to local personnel employed by the World Food Programme, 10 percent went to the contracted ground transporter, and 5 to 10 percent went to al-Shabaab.

I’m sure the same “rigorous process of due diligence” used to release terrorists into the U.S. will be applied when it comes to sending money to an Islamic terrorist state through another Islamic terror state.

Biden Moves Forward With Plan to Cancel $39 Billion in Student Loan Debt

Biden Moves Forward With Plan to Cancel $39 Billion in Student Loan Debt

President Joe Biden announced on Monday that he would be moving forward with his administration’s plan to cancel $49 billion in student loan debt for over 800,000 borrowers.

“On Day One of my Administration, I promised to fight for hardworking families and to fix problems in the student loan system that have been failing borrowers for too long,” Biden said in a statement released by the White House.

“I’m proud that my Administration is delivering on that promise and has already approved over $116 billion in debt cancellation for 3.4 million Americans – no matter how many lawsuits, challenges, or roadblocks Republican elected officials or special interests put in our way,” he added.

Biden said the loan cancellation plan, which was announced by Secretary of Education Miguel Cardona in July, seeks to address “errors and administrative failures of the student loan system that started long before I took office.”

“When I came into office, hundreds of thousands of borrowers weren’t accurately getting credit for student loan payments that should have delivered them forgiveness under Income-Driven Repayment plans or were placed into forbearance by loan servicers in violation of Department of Education rules,” Biden claimed. “Under these plans, if a borrower makes 20 or 25 years’ worth of payments, they get the remaining balances of their loans forgiven.”

On Monday, ABC News reported that some of the 800,000 borrowers who are eligible for the plan will receive an email containing the subject line: “Your student loans have been forgiven.” The outlet noted that the email process would be completed in a “matter of weeks.”

Approximately 614,000 individuals are expected to have their student loan debts nullified.

Biden said on Monday that his latest effort to cancel student loan debt is an example of one of the “alternative” paths his administration has taken to provide relief to several borrowers.

Related: ‘Bidenomics’ Is One Major Fail After Another

“As I announced earlier this summer in the wake of the Supreme Court’s decision on our student debt relief plan, we will continue to pursue an alternative path to deliver student debt relief to as many borrowers as possible as quickly as possible. We will use every tool at our disposal to get student loan borrowers the relief they need to reach their dreams,” the president said. “We will use every tool at our disposal to get student loan borrowers the relief they need to reach their dreams.”

Since Biden took office in January 2021, the Department of Education has forgiven over $116 billion in federal student loan debt held by more than 3.4 million students.

Britain slept in the 1930s as an inevitable war with Hitler loomed.

A lonely Winston Churchill had only a few courageous partners to oppose the appeasement and incompetence of his conservative colleague Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain.

One of the most stalwart truth-tellers was a now little-remembered politico and public servant — Leo Amery, a polymath and conservative member of Parliament.

Yet in two iconic moments of outrage against the Chamberlain government’s temporizing, Amery galvanized Britain and helped end the government’s disastrous policies.

In the hours after Hitler invaded Poland on September 1, 1939, there was real doubt whether Chamberlain would honor its treaty and declare war on Germany.

A Labour Party member, surrogate Arthur Greenwood, got up in the House of Commons to announce that he would be speaking for Labour on behalf of his ill party leader Clement Attlee.

Immediately Amery interrupted, shouting out, “Speak for England, Arthur!”

He was met with overwhelming applause and soon public acclamation.

After all, Amery was a political voice in the wilderness warning that neither his own party nor the opposition Labour Party was speaking or acting for the real interest of the British people.

Amery, a shocked Greenwood, and others had finally had enough of the partisan nonsense and demanded the nation unite against Nazi Germany.

Hours later, Britain declared war on Germany, the first major power to do so.

On a second iconic occasion on May 7, 1940, Amery voiced even stronger views — again, widely held by the public, but rarely voiced by the timid political class.

The inept Chamberlain government had just lost a winnable Norway campaign to Germany.

Amery responded with a blistering attack on the incompetence of the conservative Chamberlain administration by quoting Oliver Cromwell’s hallmark 1653 order to the Long Parliament: “You have sat too long here for any good you have been doing. Depart, I say, and let us have done with you. In the name of God, go.”

Three days later after Amery’s speech and the invasion of France, an ill Chamberlain and most of his advisors resigned. Churchill became prime minister. The rest is history.

We need a voice like Amery’s. Like Britain from 1939 to 1940, America is in existential danger.

The Biden administration has utterly destroyed the southern border — and immigration law with it.

Biden green-lighted 7 million illegal aliens swarming into the U.S. without legal sanction or rudimentary audit.

China spies inside and over the U.S. with impunity. Beijing has never admitted to its responsibility for the gain-of-function COVID virus that killed a million Americans.

President Joe Biden printed $4 trillion at exactly the wrong time of soaring post-COVID consumer demand and supply shortages. No wonder he birthed the worst inflation in 40 years.

In response, interest rates tripled, and gas prices doubled.

Our military is thousands of recruits short. It lacks sufficient munitions.

Following Biden’s humiliating pullout from Afghanistan, vast troves of arms were abandoned in Kabul. Billions more in scarce weapons were sent to Ukraine.

The Pentagon’s woke agenda trumps meritocracy in promotions and advancement.

Our enemies — Russia, China, Iran, and North Korea — are on the move, while the U.S. seems listless.

The Biden renegade Department of Justice, CIA, and FBI have become weaponized. Ideology, politics, and race — not the law — more often guide their investigations, intelligence operations, and enforcement.

The downtowns of our once majestic major cities are becoming unlivable.

They are mired in refuse and trash, violent crime, and homelessness. Stores and businesses leave. Millions each year flee the blue urban coasts to the red west and south.

To even say there are still two biological genders, that global warming may not be entirely manmade or necessarily destroying the planet, or that class, not race, is the proper barometer of inequality is to face ostracism and career cancellation.

The public assumes that Biden is severely cognitively challenged, likely corrupt, and a serial fabricator.

Most know what must be done, but few will tell the truth: Balance the budget. Return to legal-only immigration. Restore a well-funded, but unwoke Pentagon.

Insist on racial unity. Curb the overweening administrative state. Enforce the rule of law.

Produce more gas and oil. Reestablish civic education. Insist universities protect free speech and due process — and stop proselytizing.

In other words, restore what until recently made America the strongest, most prosperous, and freest nation in the world. And quit undoing all the great good that eight generations of prior Americans bequeathed to us.

Somewhere out there an American Leo Amery is growing infuriated over what is being done to America.

And if he finally stands up like Amery to call out our bankrupt political class, the American people will echo his famous order to this disastrous government:

“Depart, I say, and let us have done with you. In the name of God, go.”

This Steams My Clams: Ivermectin Is Suddenly OK for COVID?

This Steams My Clams: Ivermectin Is Suddenly OK for COVID?
Pat Wellenbach
Perhaps a doctor can prescribe a gasoline enema for the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). A lawyer for the FDA recently declared doctors may now — years after it’s needed — prescribe ivermectin for COVID-19. Just in time!

Now that the nation is down to a mere 205 COVID deaths per week, and the pharmaceutical-industrial complex has hoovered billions of dollars in cheddar while Americans watched loved ones die on hospital ventilators via Facetime after tens of thousands of people have suffered adverse effects from the vaccine clot-shot — now the FDA claims it’s always been cool for doctors to give their patients a cheap drug many folks knew helped people with the Bat-stew flu.

Oh really? Roll the tape.

FACT-O-RAMA! The punchinellos at the FDA beclowned themselves by tweeting, “You are not a horse. You are not a cow. Seriously, y’all. Stop it,” after podcaster and comedian Joe Rogan announced ivermectin helped him overcome COVID. Never mind that the FDA approved ivermectin for human consumption decades earlier.

Some bozos at the FDA were tickled pinko when their embarrassing tweet went viral.

Look at this whopper of a lie on the FDA’s website:

COVID-19. We’ve been living with it for what sometimes seems like forever. Given the number of deaths that have occurred from the disease, it’s perhaps not surprising that some consumers are turning to drugs not approved or authorized by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

I guess the jackpuddings at the FDA “forgot” ivermectin was cleared for humans in 1987.

Let’s take a quick walk down memory lane and reveal some of the commies who tried to scare us away from a cheap, effective medicine to fight COVID.

NYCOURTS.gov:

“Never use medications intended for animals on yourself or other people. Animal ivermectin products are very different from those approved for humans. Use of animal ivermectin for the prevention or treatment of COVID-19 in humans is dange rous.”

University of Kansas:

“Ivermectin shown ineffective in treating COVID-19, according to multi-site study including KU Medical Center.”

The American Medical Association:

“Taking a drug for an unapproved use can be very dangerous and misinformation that says it is OK to take ivermectin for COVID-19—or in large doses—is wrong, the FDA consumer update warns. Even approved levels of ivermectin can interact with other medications such as blood thinners. Overdose of ivermectin can also cause nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, hypotension, allergic reactions, dizziness, ataxia, seizures, coma and even death.”

Dr. Anthony Fauci:

‘Don’t do it’: Dr. Fauci warns against using ivermectin to treat or prevent COVID-19

I could add squawking heads from the Communist News Network (CNN) and the rest of the Pravda Press, but I’m sure you get the point.

So why did the FDA lawyer claim doctors have always had the right to prescribe ivermectin?

Three doctors sued the feds over the FDA’s “right” to dictate how physicians treat their patients. All three claim they were fired for trying to prescribe ivermectin for their patients, which they say is because the FDA warned people against ivermectin, a notion the FDA now denies.

“The fundamental issue in this case is straightforward,” the doctors’ attorney, Jared Kelson, declared in court. “After the FDA approves the human drug for sale, does it then have the authority to interfere with how that drug is used within the doctor-patient relationship? The answer is no.”

Ashley Cheung Honold, a Department of Justice (DOJ) lawyer representing the FDA, claims the agency never said doctors couldn’t prescribe ivermectin.

“What about when it said, ‘No, stop it’?” Circuit Judge Jennifer Walker Elrod asked Honold, referring to the aforementioned tweet. “Why isn’t that a command? If you were in English class, they would say that was a command.”

In response, Honold fell on her clown sword and stated that those words were “merely quips.”

I suspect the truth is this: there was too much money on the table for the pharmaceutical-industrial complex to lose. Ivermectin costs pennies. How can Pfizer fat cats line their pockets and throw some cheddar back at Democrats who helped them rake it in on a cheap drug like ivermectin?
