BLOG 20 - 8 POINTS OF PROGRESSIVE CHRISTIANITY

About a month ago I discerned through the 8 points of Progressive Christianity on my Instagram. These 8 points are up on the Progressive Christianity website found here.
My heart in doing this to help Bible believing Christians understand where Progressive Christians are coming from and what the implications are for following their teachings. I also want to show that Progressive Christianity is not following the true God of the Bible.
Before you read, please understand that not all Progressive Christians believe all of these 8 points. The major belief they all have in common though is that the Bible is not their authority. Experience and feeling tend to be the authority of a Progressive Christian.
1. “Believe that following the path of the teacher Jesus can lead to healing and wholeness, a mystical connection to “God,” as well as an awareness and experience of not only the Sacred, but the Oneness and Unity of all life;"
This is the first point from progressive christianity.org. Within the first line we can see that Progressive Christians deny that Jesus Christ was the Son of God. They reduce Christ to a human teacher. Such that if they follow what this good teacher taught, they will find healing wholeness in their souls, and they will have a connection with god.
This is very subtle and speaks straight to our flesh. We naturally want to show how "good" we are by ascribing to a list of things to prove to ourselves and others that we aren't bad people. That we are better than others, since we do all these great things. In the PC mind set, by following teacher jesus, they are given a set of rules to show themselves and others they are good Christians. Thus, this will give them healing and wholeness, or in other words, life fulfillment. Then through their goodness, they will achieve a connection with what they call god.
Next, once this connection is achieved they will understand the secrets of the Universe… this is new age rhetoric. And very unbiblical.
The only way to know God is through Jesus Christ. If we believe that all we have to do is follow a good teacher to be fulfilled and then know the secrets of the universe, then we believe in a system of works designed to put us in bondage, build our pride, and feed our sin nature; ultimately sending us to Hell.
Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him.
John 3:36 ESV
2. "Affirm that the teachings of Jesus provide but one of many ways to experience “God,” the Sacredness, Oneness and Unity of life, and that we can draw from diverse sources of wisdom, including Earth, in our spiritual journey;"
This is the second point of the 8 points of Progressive Christianity found on their website. If you reduce Jesus Christ down to a good moral teacher, it makes so much sense that his teachings are one of many ways to god. Since most Progressive Christians believe in universalism, that Christ died for all regardless of what people believe about Him, there is no need to be exclusive. Because everyone means all religions too.
I would argue that most if not all Progressive Christians want some sort of relationship with God but since they keep denying their sin it's not possible. And since the jesus they follow is all about following a set of rules to be a good, moral, and spiritual person, they look to other religions or the new age to find their experience of god.
Looking at all the world religions and the new age we can see that all of them, except Biblical Christianity, are set up for people to follow a set of rules to achieve something or to get into heaven or to get god. Or in other words to show they are good people.
This statement by PC is also a way of saying we "respect" your experience of god. Since your religion, experience, and philosophy has the same outcome as ours, to be a good person, all religions and ideas must be the same.
Jesus Christ was very clear when He said in John 14:6. "... 'I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'" There is no way around that my friend. My professors at the PC seminary I went to couldn't even refute that claim.
Keep your eyes open to words like interfaith, unity, and ecumenicalism. These are buzz words in PC. When you hear these words, start asking questions. Most likely, it's to promote the second point of Progressive Christianity.
3. "Seek and create community that is inclusive of ALL people, including but not limited to:
Conventional Christians and questioning skeptics,
Believers and agnostics,
Those of all races, cultures, and nationalities
Those of all sexual orientations and all gender identities,
Those of all classes and abilities,
Those historically marginalized,
All creatures and plant life;"
First, what is Biblical love? Biblical love is about laying our lives down for those around us, putting their best interest over our own best interest. Jesus showed us this love by dying for us, by taking our place and paying the price for our sin. He came to die for our best interest so we could be free from sin and live with God forever. Biblical love points people to Christ and the Gospel so that they can be saved from the wrath of God.
In the third point of Progressive Christianity, their definition of inclusion reveals what they truly believe love is. Love is acceptance of every person, including acceptance of all of their sin.
If everyone is striving to follow this teacher jesus and everyone else in other religions around the world are doing the same thing, they must be accepting of sin. Because everyone is trying to make themselves a better person. By accepting everyone and their sin, they have loved like they think their jesus did.
We all know this standard is impossible to live by. How many families are falling apart? We can't even accept our own families let alone everyone we meet. But if you fail at this type of love, they say just keep trying.
This is what makes PC so binding. It either puts you in bondage or builds your pride. But most importantly, it keeps you a slave to your sin.
This type of all inclusive love is a lie from hell and evil. By not pointing people to Christ and the Gospel, there is no hope for them and leaving them to God's eternal judgment is one of the most unloving things we can do.
4. “Know that the way we behave towards one another and Earth is the fullest expression of what we believe, therefore we vow to walk as Jesus might have walked in this world with radical compassion, inclusion, and bravery to confront and positively change the injustices we experience as well as those we see others experiencing;"
One of the things we need to remember is that Progressive Christians do not submit themselves to the authority of the Bible. Because they don't believe it was divinely-inspired they don't use a Biblical understanding of the words "compassion" and "justice" as examples. They look to the world or their own experience to interpret those terms and apply them in a non-Biblical way.
The fourth point of Progressive Christianity really breaks down what it means to follow their moral teacher jesus. Here we have a tangible list of rules so they know they are following him the correct way and thus they know they are "good" Christians. The language used leaves it up to the reader on how to interpret and implement each rule.
This, I believe, is the point where well meaning Biblical Christians can get deceived by PC. Christ tells us to have compassion, and empathy for the downtrodden and oppressed. The Bible is very clear on how to do these things. The issue within PC is that what Jesus says is filtered through a misinterpretation of love, that I mentioned yesterday, and the misunderstanding of Who Jesus Christ truly is. And that all comes from the lack of authority they ascribe to Scripture.
As Christians, we can not trust everything or anyone who claims to be Christian. We must check everything with scripture. Just because it sounds good or sounds Christian doesn't mean it is. This is why it is so important to renew our minds daily with the Word of God. That way we can spot the Truth from lies and know what is good and evil.
5. "Find grace in the search for understanding and believe there is more value in questioning with an open mind and open heart, than in absolutes or dogma;"
Progressive Christians believe it is more humble to question everything and claim that it is not possible to know God's will; better for everyone to have questions and doubts but never really seek to find the true answers.
I see this point being born out of a legalistic approach to Biblical Christianity. Many Progressive Christians have been hurt by the church and the hypocrisy they may have seen in other people's lives. If they were taught that to be a Christian requires following all of the rules in the Bible perfectly, but everyone, including themselves, are failing at it, of course they will reject what they were taught.
What fills that gap? They will tend to look at true Christians as very arrogant people. However, by not seeking out answers to their questions, they will become deeply proud of how "humble" they are. All while still being slaves to sin and closing themselves off to hearing the True Gospel.
And those who want to have the Christian label without submitting to Christ will gladly take this point to heart. If questioning without finding true answers makes them humble people, then it's a check mark off the list of virtues that prove them righteous and a 'good' person. Which all goes back to the first point of following the good moral teacher jesus.
Things to look out for with this point are phrases like "Is that what God really meant?" Or "It is impossible to know God's will." These phrases and others like them are used by the enemy to plant doubt in our hearts when it comes to the Word of God.
6. "Work toward peace and justice among all people and all life on Earth;"
In Progressive Christianity most believe in a type of universalism; that Christ died to save everyone regardless of what they believe about Him. And if this is true, it makes sense that they would work towards these things to make the world a better place.
This is another tangible way Progressive Christians follow the moral teacher jesus. They are usually very active in societal issues and charity work. The work is done in a worldly way, taking no consideration of what Biblical peace and justice look like. They are helping people but doing it in vain. They neglect to share the true Gospel of Jesus Christ with those they are helping and just make them comfortable with their sin.
Peace and justice are Biblical principles that must be seen through the eyes of the Gospel in order to be done in a godly way that glorifies God. We must look to Scripture and study it diligently to understand and apply it's truths.
This is another point where Biblical Christians can be deceived by PC. Jesus does call us to do this type of work; we should all be serving. But again, PC does not believe that Scripture is authoritative so they are looking to worldly ideas and structures to fix a spiritual problem. Many Christians don't know that and get deceived by what PC claims. By exploring their honest and compassionate desire to help, the enemy leads them into his trap.
7. "Protect and restore the integrity of our Earth and all of Creation;"
I listened to a story once about a group of PC seminarians who wrote down their sins to a plant. They confessed to it and vowed to do better in protecting the environment. This was at a prominent seminary in the U.S. that has sadly turned from Jesus Christ.
Point seven is another way Progressive Christians attempt to follow moral teacher jesus. And it usually turns into an idol; worshipping creation. This is another way those who follow PC can make themselves feel like a good person.
This can be extreme, where like in the story above, they become overly apologetic to the environment, seeking to make reparations for their environmental sins; an ideology known as Eco-justice. Or it can be small things like buying reusable straws or bags. But all of this boils down to checking another virtue off the list defining a righteous person.
As Christians we are called to be good stewards of creation. God has given us the earth to treat well for His glory. But we also must understand that creation is under a curse because of our sin. This earth will never be perfect. It will be when Jesus Christ returns and those who are His join Him for eternity on the new earth where there will be no more sin.
8. "Commit to a path of life-long learning, compassion, and selfless love on this journey toward a personally authentic and meaningful faith."
We have come to our last point of Progressive Christianity. We can see that they want to continually educate themselves to be better people according to the standards of this world. They believe following Christ means following a moral teacher jesus; who is only one of many ways to god. The more they can learn, the more they can prove to themselves they are good enough for Heaven. The more they can check off their list of virtues.
Biblically, we know even our good and righteous deeds are sinful and as filthy rags to our Holy God. We have all fallen short of God's glory. It will never be possible to be compassionate enough, or love others enough to earn God's favor.
At the root of all of this is pride. Progressive Christians and others like them refuse to acknowledge their sin of self righteousness, or in other words, pride. They reject the True Gospel of Jesus Christ, instead believing they are morally superior and can earn utopia by their works. If we can never admit we are sick, we can never be healed.
And Jesus answered them, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. I have not come to call the righteous but sinners to repentance.”

Steven Furtick is more than just a false teacher. He is a demonic liar, a deceiver, and if anything, more like Satan than any angel of light he masquerades as — and he think’s he’s Jesus. He preaches a false prosperity gospel and bilks his congregation for money. He has made absurd claims about not only the Scriptures but God himself such as claiming that God reflects his image (rather than man reflecting God’s image), that without man, God is just an abstract concept, and denies God’s sovereignty over His own plans. And just last week, he embraced the heresy of his close associate, T.D. Jakes — modalism.
To add to that, he also recently preached a sermon declaring that God is “energy” and that he is a “molecular structure that fills all in all” — then proceeds to assert that this is what it means that Jesus was “there from the beginning.” His heresies seem to never continue piling on.
Now, Steven Furtick says that he had to “correct” his co-pastor for telling people who want to come to Christ that they can believe in Jesus “without a doubt.” According to Furtick, believing “without any doubt” is a prayer than cannot be honestly prayed.
I told him never again, when you stand in the pulpit at Elevation, do I want you to put people in a position to where you’re telling them to pray something they can’t honestly pray. In fact, don’t put them in a position to pray something that you can’t honestly pray. Because there is not one of you in the room even with tabs in your pink bible that can honestly say “without a doubt.”
Furtick, of course, preaches in opposition to the Scriptures, which says that those who doubt are double-minded, unstable, and should expect not to receive anything from the Lord.
ANDY STANLEY MOCKS JOHN MACARTHUR, SAYS JESUS NEVER COMMANDED US TO MEET~APOSTATE GETS INVITED TO LIBERTY UNIVERSITY CONVOCATION

Today, during a convocation at the highly-respected Southern Baptist-affiliated Christian Liberty University, notoriously false teacher and serial blasphemer of God, Andy Stanley, told Liberty University students that people, like John MacArthur, who believe that Jesus commands Christians to meet are “wrong.”
Shaking his fist in mocking frustration, Stanley says that Jesus “never played the God card,” and never claimed to be God, and therefore, somehow, he concluded, that Jesus never commanded Christians to meet.
Stanley also complained that John MacArthur said “not so nice” things about him, so he has no interest in having a conversation with him.
Of course, MacArthur was right about Stanley — that Stanley doesn’t know what a church is and definitely does not know how to shepherd a flock. It’s why most of Stanley’s congregation are goats and, hopefully, the few that God has chosen out of that congregation, will see the light and exit that demonic spawn of Hell’s “church” building.
Thankfully, there are men like John MacArthur who are willing to call wolves wolves and speak the truth, stand up to tyranny, and be a light and a witness to the gospel of Jesus Christ despite the many who are unwilling to do so or just want to stand on the sidelines.

Liberty University Invites False Teacher, Andy Stanley, to Preach Convocation

Liberty University, the largest Christian University in the country — which was formerly led by Jerry Falwell, Jr. who just resigned amid immoral and erratic behavior — has invited one of the nation’s most notorious false teachers to speak at convocation today.
Andy Stanley, pastor of Northpoint Church in Atlanta, is best known for blaspheming God and denying the Scriptures. Stanley recently announced that his own church would be closed for at least the remainder of this year because of the coronavirus — despite the fact that the coronavirus has had a relatively low impact on church congregations and has not been the monster pandemic it was made out to be.
Stanley is famous for his teaching that the Church needs to “unhitch” from the Old Testament and declaring that the Scriptures are unnecessary to Christianity. He teaches that God loves us more than he loves his own son, Jesus, and believes that even if you don’t know Jesus, you will have a better life by following his teachings — which is patently and absurdly false.
Stanley teaches that openly gay, practicing homosexuals can be saved and also teaches that the Ten Commandments don’t apply to Christians. All-in-all, there can be no doubt that Stanley has been a blasphemer of God and a false teacher that God has allowed to continue to serve his own good purposes.
Now, Liberty University is feeding their own sheep to this wolf.

no-worship order and subpoenas. ... Liberty Counsel’s Founder Mat Staver says Newsom’s worship ban is clearly
unconstitutional. ‘The same governor who encourages mass protests, bans all worship and is now fining churches
for their right to assemble and worship. The same governor who says the church can meet for secular services,
bans the church from having religious worship. This unconstitutional hostility against religious worship must end.’
Newsom has issued a rule against singing and chanting--even in worship in private homes. Then, he outlawed
church worship. ... The pastor of Godspeak Calvary Chapel in Ventura County, Rob McCoy, was in court on Friday
and fined $3,000 for holding three socially distanced worship services each Sunday on August 9th and 16th. ...
McCoy was ready to go to jail on Sunday if need be. Senator Ted Cruz sent a supportive tweet, letting California l

with you, Pastor.’ In Santa Clara, county officers sent in agents to spy on North Valley Baptist Church, according to
documents the county gave to the court. That church has been fined $10,000 for illegally singing in two worship
services. Singing. ... In Los Angeles County on Monday, megachurch Pastor John McArthur of Grace Community
Church went to court for a fourth time to fight the governor’s ban on worship. [The county is seeking $20,000 in
damages. On August 25, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Mitchell Beckloff refused the county’s request to grant
a temporary restraining order against the church’s services.] McArthur issued a declaration on Monday, saying it’s
clear that the County thinks it’s OK to let ‘congregants to gather to worship the Lord in parking lots, in parks, or
perhaps beaches--but never in any church. From Grace Community Church’s perspective, this is nonsensical, and
we view it as a direct ban on engaging in the worship which our faith requires.’” The previous report did not
mention Harvest Church of Pasadena, Calif. “Last week, Pasadena’s chief assistant city prosecutor sent Harvest
Church Pastor Che Ahn a letter, threatening fines and up to one year in jail for anyone who attends a future service
. [The letter, dated Aug. 13, reads:] ‘This letter is to remind you that violations of these orders are criminal in
nature. Each day in violation is a separate violation and carries with it a potential punishment of up to one year in
jail and a fine for each violation. ... Any violations in the future will subject your church, owners, administrators,
operators, staff, and parishioners to the above-mentioned criminal penalties as well as the potential closure of your

org, fbns@wayoflife.org, 866-295-4143) - Facebook has taken down Antifa and affiliated anarchist groups.
“Facebook explicitly sought to disrupt Antifa’s operations and said it restricted 1,400 hashtags related to the
militant leftists and tore down 520 pages and 160 ads. Facebook’s crackdown on Antifa is a harbinger of things to
come, as the company said it has begun changing its policies to more aggressively go after militia groups
supporting violent protests. ... Facebook’s policy shift takes aim at the radical organizations’ funding, their ability
to attract new followers, and the visibility of their content. ... By publicizing its actions against Antifa, Facebook
has called attention to its more aggressive content moderation approach as affecting all political ideologies”
(“Facebook cracks down,” The Washington Times, Aug. 20, 2020). At the same time, Facebook has “removed 790
QANON groups and imposed restrictions on an additional 1,950 QAnon groups on its platform and 10,000 accounts
on Instagram.” QAnon is a hodgepodge of conspiracy theories based on enigmatic reports published by an
anonymous person known as “Q” who allegedly has access to ultra top-secret information. There is no evidence
that “Q” is anyone other than some goofball with too much time on his hands having a lark, but QAnon believers
see Q’s publications as “breadcrumbs” of evidence for their enlightenment. There are fragments of truth, of course,
as in all such things, but largely it is a will-o’-the-wisp world of inscrutable poetry, numerology, secret signals, etc.
An example of a Q message is this: “Think SC vote to confirm (coming). No Name action. Every dog has its day.
Enjoy the show.” It is as murky and meaningless as a Nostradamus prophecy. QAnon is an Alice Wonderland in
which nothing is solid, nothing is sure, nothing means what it seems to mean. The main theme is that presidents
before Trump were part of a cabal of “deep-state” international evil operators who control America and the world
(the media, politicians, Hollywood), operating death squads and pedophile rings and a great many other secret
things. Trump was chosen by military generals to run for president to destroy this cabal, which he will supposedly
do in a purge called “The Storm” (in which tens of thousands of deep state operatives, including Hilly Clinton, will
be arrested and subjected to military tribunals, etc.). Trump supposedly flashes secret signals to QAnon insiders.
One of the theories is that John. R. Kennedy, Jr., and his wife faked their own plane crash deaths and went
undercover to work with Trump. QAnon is associated with a hodgepodge of conspiracies pertaining to Covid-19,
9-11, UFOs, 5G technology and mind control, etc. It is as nutty as a fruitcake. While a lot of people are attracted
to such things and are true believers, a lot of the followers are doubtless just entertaining themselves like “Q” is.
To any Q followers in Bible-believing churches, we would say, you don’t need Q; you have the infallible Word of
God! Stop wasting your time chasing will-o’-the-wisp in a rabbit hole and become a serious Bible student and
disciple of Jesus Christ. And to Facebook and other social media companies, we would say, by all means ban
violent speech and pornography and pedophilia and such things, but you should not be censors of speech that is
legal under law. Allegedly nutty or not, it should be none of your business. Liberals and leftists, et al, have plenty
of their own fake news and conspiratorial nuttiness. Do you want someone censoring your free speech?

A restraining order requested by Los Angeles County against the church led by John MacArthur, who is also the chancellor emeritus for The Master’s University and Seminary, has been denied by the judge.
For a number of weeks, MacArthur’s church in Sun Valley, Grace Community Church, has been holding in-person services without social distancing.
The objective of the restraining order, county officials said in a news release distributed last week, is to prohibit the church from holding indoor services. If the court issues the order, any future indoor services could be grounds for a contempt citation and fines of up to $20,000.
However, L.A. County Superior Court Judge Mitchell Beckloff ruled Monday in opposition to the county’s position, denying the restraining order for a fourth time.
“It is deeply disappointing that the court decided not to grant the county’s request for a temporary restraining order prohibiting Grace Community Church from holding indoor services, as it has done several times in recent weeks,” county officials said in their statement distributed after the Monday ruling. “We look forward to a favorable ruling when a full hearing is heard on the matter on Sept. 4.”
County officials said that the church’s meetings violate the county’s health officer order, and that the order has been put in place to “curb the transmission of COVID-19 in order to prevent serious illness and death among our residents.”
“The court correctly concluded that Los Angeles County’s renewed application for a temporary restraining order was both procedurally and substantively defective,” Paul Jonna, the church’s lawyer in the case, said Tuesday in a prepared statement. “This was their fourth unsuccessful attempt to obtain a court order prohibiting indoor worship services at Grace Community Church. We look forward to fully vindicating our clients’ constitutionally protected rights in subsequent proceedings for this important case.”
Beckleoff stated in his ruling the county’s case failed to meet statutory requirements.
The Master’s University
Despite Grace Community deciding to go against the health order, The Master’s University, of which MacArthur was a longtime president of the college, is following the guidelines set forth by the Public Health Department, they say.
“We’re bringing back to campus only students that are taking part in training for the essential workforce and need in-person instruction,” said Corey Williams, chief communications officer for TMU. “A good majority of classes are happening remotely. L.A. County said students with no feasible living options can be in our dorms.”
Events at the university have been canceled until further notice with the exception of protests and faith-based services, social distancing within those few classes that are meeting will be enforced and the university is having deep sanitation occur throughout the campus.
“Deep cleaning and masks are required,” said Williams. “We will also have grab-and-go food options and limit the number of people that can pick up food at a time. We’re a pretty small operation, compared to the vast majority of higher education institutions, so we don’t have to worry.”
The university released a plan earlier in the summer, but following changes to the health order, modified its return guidelines for staff and students. The plan had been developed by the university’s COVID-19 task force set up in March that included an epidemiologist, doctor and on-campus medical staff. They spent the summer putting together all possible reopening plans and they met every week, Williams said.
“It’s going to be strange but we’re very excited to be back,” said Williams.

LYNCHBURG, Va. — Jerry Falwell, Jr., the president of what hails itself as the world’s largest Christian university, officially resigned Monday evening after reports went public that his wife had an affair for a number of years with a young business partner. He had already been on indefinite leave over a controversial vacation photo in which he posed with his pants unzipped.
“After agreeing yesterday to immediately resign then reversing course, Falwell, through an attorney, sent the resignation letter late last night to members of the Board’s Executive Committee pursuant to the terms of his contract of employment,” Liberty University said in a statement on Tuesday.
“The Executive Committee met this morning and voted to accept all the resignations immediately and recommend ratification to the full Board. Later this morning, the full Board gathered via conference call and unanimously voted to affirm the decision of the Executive Committee,” it explained.
Officials outlined that the board, “composed of a mix of alumni, pastors and business executives, active and retired, used most of its meeting to focus forward on the university’s future and steps that could be taken to ensure it remained true to its mission.” A search committee for a replacement for Falwell will be formed at an upcoming meeting.

Falwell, while acknowledging that his wife Becki had committed adultery, said that the man, now 29-year-old Giancarlo Granda, tried to extort the couple and became threatening. He asserted that he had no part in the affair, while Granda claims that Falwell sat in the room or watched from a camera while sexual encounters happened over the course of seven years.
Granda released a recorded phone call in which Becki Falwell expressed that she struggled with the idea of him dating other girls, even to the point of tears, and Jerry Falwell Jr. remarked, “You’re going to make her jealous, Gian.”
The Falwells had been in a business relationship with Granda surrounding a hostel that he owned in Miami, Florida.
“Becki had an inappropriate personal relationship with this person, something in which I was not involved,” Falwell said Sunday night in a statement to the Washington Examiner after Reuters first reported on the matter. “It was nonetheless very upsetting to learn about.”
He stated that he lost 80 pounds in becoming so disturbed about the matter, spending time “reflecting and praying about whether there were ways I could have been more supportive of her and given her proper attention.”
“I came to realize that while it may be easy to judge others on their behavior, the King James Bible reminds us, ‘Thou shalt not commit adultery, but I sayeth unto you, that whoever looketh upon a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her in his heart,'” Falwell wrote. “In fact, there are ways we may all be sinning, but the Lord believes in this self-reflection.”
He said that he consequently forgave his wife, and the couple sought to put distance between themselves and Granda, but he became “aggressive.”
“Eventually, he began threatening to publicly reveal this secret relationship with Becki and to deliberately embarrass my wife, family, and Liberty University unless we agreed to pay him substantial monies,” Falwell said. “We were doing our best to respectfully unravel this ‘fatal attraction’ type situation to protect our family and the university.”
Granda denies that he had engaged in extortion, telling reporters, “Any allegation of extortion is falsely, defamatory and belied by clear documentary evidence.”
As previously reported, Falwell had already been placed on indefinite leave by the Liberty University Board of Trustees after he posted — and then deleted — a vacation photo to Instagram where he mimicked his wife’s pregnant assistant, but was photographed knowing that his pants were unzipped.

(Business Insider) — Liberty University announced late Monday evening that Jerry Falwell Jr. “withdrew” his resignation, hours after he agreed to step down as president following a series of controversies he was embroiled in.
Falwell walked back his resignation after multiple news outlets confirmed the news earlier on Monday. The college’s full board of directors plans to meet on Tuesday.
The tussle between Falwell and the college comes a day after Reuters reported that he and his wife, Becki, were involved in a years-long sexual relationship with former business partner, Giancarlo Granda. Falwell denied the charges, which were made by Granda, and claimed he later learned about his wife’s extra-marital affair.
Falwell had been placed on leave two weeks ago, and “additional matters came to light that made it clear that it would not be in the best interest of the university for him to return from leave and serve as president,” a university statement outlined on Monday. Read the statement in full here.
“I was never called to be a pastor. My calling was to use my legal and business expertise to make Liberty University the evangelical version of Note Dame,” Falwell told ABC News. “Some of us are called to be preachers, that wasn’t mine. If you’ve been following the saga with Jerry Falwell Jr., now-resigned president of Liberty University, you’re probably aware that he has been caught up in a number of controversies over the years, including the most recent controversy where inappropriate pictures of Falwell and another woman were posted with their pants unzipped on a yacht.
Over the course of this saga, Falwell resigned from his post at Liberty University and has released a statement blaming his erratic behavior and mental health issues on an inappropriate relationship he says his wife had with a young man eight years ago.
“During a vacation over eight years ago, Becki and I met an ambitious young man who was working at our hotel and was saving up his money to go to school. We encouraged him to pursue an education and a career and we were impressed by his initiative in suggesting a local real estate opportunity,” Falwell writes. “Shortly thereafter, Becki had an inappropriate personal relationship with this person, something in which I was not involved – it was nonetheless very upsetting to learn about.”
Last year, the Miami Herald reported on a “strange financial dealing” between Falwell Jr., and a young man who is identified as a “personal trainer” named Giancarlo Granda. Essentially, Falwell was threatened with the release of racy photos of his wife after he endorsed President Trump. Prior to that, Falwell had a similar dealing with a “pool boy” which, incidentally, was about eight years ago. It seems as though Falwell Jr. is throwing his wife under the bus for an affair she had with this kid.
“It was like living on a roller coaster,” he said in the statement. “While completely dedicating ourselves to Liberty, we were also suffering in silence during our personal time together, while simultaneously trying to manage and deal with this increasingly threatening behavior, which only worsened over time. We were doing our best to respectfully unravel this ‘fatal attraction’ type situation to protect our family and the university.”
He continues,
“Even though I continued successfully working with our entire Liberty team to achieve so many of our goals, I am now dealing with things in a way that I should have done before – including seeking to address the emotional toll this has taken. I shouldn’t have been afraid to admit my vulnerabilities and to reach out for assistance from the mental health professionals who could have alleviated this pain and stress. I am committed to speaking out and sharing with others at Liberty the importance of seeking counseling instead of thinking you need to be tough and try to bear these burdens on your own. I am in the early stages of addressing these issues.”
Falwell says that he lost 80 pounds after he found out about the affair, but that he and Becki had forgiven each other “because while her indiscretion may have been more obvious and apparent, I realized that there were important smaller things I needed to do better too.”

John MacArthur Files Declaration Against LA County for Depriving Christians of “Spiritual Refuge”

(August 24, 2020 – Sun Valley, California) Los Angeles County is returning to court this morning, August 24, 2020, attempting – for the fourth time – to get a court order to shut down indoor worship services at Grace Community Church.
As the judge noted last week, the County simply refuses to accept the reasoned decisions of the California court. Judge Mitchell L. Beckloff, who will preside over today’s hearing, told Los Angeles County attorneys from the bench on August 20, “As I see it, Judge Chalfant said ‘No’ to you and the Court of Appeal declined to make the order that you requested.”
MacArthur’s declaration to the court states in part:
“Worship-bans appear to take the position that we should lock our doors and force our congregants to gather to worship the Lord in parking lots, in parks, or perhaps beaches—but never in any church. From Grace Community Church’s perspective, this is nonsensical, and we view it as a direct ban on engaging in the worship which our faith requires. The size of our congregation means that there is no place for it to meet outdoors; the summer heat makes meeting outdoors unhealthy and even dangerous; our experts have refuted that meeting indoors significantly aids in the spread of the coronavirus; and most principally, Grace Community Church’s sanctuary itself is a spiritual refuge for our congregants—a refuge of which the county has no right to deprive them.”
“Thus, the county’s and state’s July 13 and 14 worship-bans burden my and Grace Community Church’s free exercise of religion by criminalizing activity directly required by our faith. As a church, we have a moral and religious obligation to continue allowing our congregants to gather in our sanctuary to worship the Lord.
“This church is the core of life for thousands from nursery to seniors. Our church is not an event center. It is a family of lives who love and care for each other in very intensely personal ways. So essential to personal well-being that people rushed back as soon as they could. The utter unnecessary deprivation of all our people by completely shutting down the mutual love and care that sustains our people in all the exigencies, pressures and challenges of life, was cruel. And after 63 years of sacrificial, kindness to our city, to be repeatedly threatened with court-ordered efforts to shut Grace Community Church down when no one is sick, reveals an inexplicable preference for a mostly harmless virus over the life-enriching and necessary fellowship of the church. Our leaders and congregation see no real health threat to warrant such restraint. We see this action against us as an illegitimate misuse of power.”

The book-burning culture of the Left is continuing its march.
As everyone knows, Amazon has achieved a virtual monopoly on the book industry. It has vast powers to decide what books people can read – and what they can’t read.
After 3½ years of publishing our groundbreaking 600-page book, The Health Hazards of Homosexuality: What the Medical and Psychological Research Reveals, Amazon has suddenly notified us that it has banned it from being printed or sold on its site. Amazon is also refusing to allow us to print any more copies for our own use and has even blocked us from accessing our account records. The book was printed (and also posted as an eBook) through Amazon’s Kindle Direct Publishing subsidiary.
Why this book is important
The mainstreaming and normalization of homosexuality has created a public health crisis affecting us all. This book documents in detail the enormous public health problems – both medical and psychological – associated with homosexual behavior.
The book took several years to compile. But at the Values Voter event itself, the book was a big hit!

Suddenly Amazon claims the book is “against our content guidelines”
Putting together and marketing a 600-page book with 1,800 footnotes on Amazon was not easy. In 2017, we worked with the Amazon staff that helped independent publishers (then named “Create Space”). For over three years they unquestionably knew what the book was about and what it contained. They had no problem with its content – until a month ago.
Then suddenly the book disappeared from the Amazon site. On July 17, we were notified that they have determined that the book violates their “content guidelines” and they have thus taken it down completely. They closed our account and will not allow us to open another account.

TUSTIN, Calif. — The Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN), a worldwide television network that for years has aired a number of controversial prosperity preachers, says that as part of its “new vision” and changes to the lineup, it will no longer air Word of Faith teacher Kenneth Copeland, whose “Believer’s Voice of Victory” broadcast had been a part of TBN for 40 years. Airing in Copeland’s stead will be Steven Furtick, a hipster megachurch preacher who reportedly lives a lavish lifestyle and often preaches man-centered sermons.
“Just like the world in which we live, TBN is constantly evolving, seeking to provide exclusive programming that is uniquely built for the challenges facing Christians in this moment,” Marketing Director Nate Daniels told reporters. “As the leading global religious broadcaster, we want to provide our viewers with compelling and dynamic preaching, teaching, news and entertainment.”
He said that “[in] pursuit of a new vision” from President Matt Crouch, the son of the late Paul and Jan Crouch, the network has been making changes over the past several years, which includes distancing from sharathons and becoming more family-friendly.
“As a part of this transition we chose to move away from telethons, upgraded to HD, expanded our streaming platforms, forged partnerships with family brands like K-LOVE, Museum of the Bible and others, and have replaced some programs with new original content from voices like Christine Caine, Mike Huckabee, Mike Rowe and more,” Daniels told the Christian Post.
Copeland advised his followers about the change via Facebook and his website this week, writing in part, “Recently, Matt let me know they believe the Lord is taking TBN in a new direction, and our daily program, ‘Believer’s Voice of Victory’ (BVOV), isn’t really a fit for their future programming. Therefore, as of Oct. 2, 2020, the BVOV broadcast will no longer air on TBN.”
As previously reported, Copeland, who teaches that God wants Christians to be rich and teaches viewers to confess away sickness, has generated controversy for a number of years, including in 2015, when he asserted on his television broadcast that he flies on a private jet to avoid being bothered by “demon” passengers.
“Oral [Roberts] used to fly airlines,” he said. “But even back then it got to the place where it was agitating his spirit—people coming up to him, he had become famous, and they wanted him to pray for them and all that. You can’t manage that today [in] this dope-filled world, and get in a long tube with a bunch of demons. And it’s deadly.”
While he said that he didn’t want to fly with a “bunch of demons,” moments later, Copeland contended that he needed a private jet to help reach the lost.
“We’re in soul business here. We’ve got a dying world around us. We’ve got a dying nation around us,” he proclaimed. “We can’t even get there on the airlines.”

WASHINGTON — “My great honor!!!” were the words of President Trump in re-sharing a video on Thursday that characterized him as “the most pro-gay president in American history.”
The video was released by Log Cabin Republicans, a homosexual lobbying Republican group, and recorded by Richard Grenell, former U.S. Ambassador to Germany and current special presidential envoy for Serbia and Kosovo peace negotiations. Grenell has led the administration’s campaign to decriminalize homosexuality worldwide.
“President Trump is the most pro-gay president in American history,” Grenell states in the video, which seeks to demonstrate why Trump is, and has consistently been, more pro-homosexual than Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden. “I can prove it.”
He outlines that Trump knew he was a homosexual when he appointed Grenell as acting director of national intelligence earlier this year, but it “didn’t even faze” the president. Grenell takes issue that Biden never acknowledge the appointment, stating that his “silence was deafening.”
“President Trump has done more to advance the rights of gay and lesbians in three years than Joe Biden did in 40-plus years in Washington,” he asserts, stating that Biden has “attacked” homosexuals throughout his tenure.
He notes that Biden had previously supported “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” and the Defense of Marriage Act, and “threatened to cut off funds to any school that teaches acceptance of homosexuality.”
Playing footage of Biden once stating that “[m]arriage is between a man and a woman,” Grenell remarks, “Now that we’ve made progress, Joe Biden has changed his mind.”
“I know that firsthand that President Trump is the strongest ally that gay Americans have ever had in the White House,” Grenell states. “Donald Trump is the first president in American history to be pro-gay marriage from his first day in office. [And] President Trump knew I was gay when he appointed me to one of the most prestigious and powerful ambassadorships in the world.”
“As ambassador to Germany, President Trump fully supported our fight to crush the homophobic and barbaric terrorist organization Hezbollah and the Iranian regime that supports them,” he continues. “While President Trump was denying the homophobic regime money, the Obama-Biden team was giving them billions of dollars.”
He also notes that Trump backed the effort, led by Grenell, to decriminalize homosexuality worldwide.
“President Trump began a historic campaign to decriminalize homosexuality around the globe at the United Nations, where he publicly challenged the 69 countries the 69 countries who make being gay a crime to change their laws,” he explains in the video, playing a clip of Trump’s speech before the U.N.
Grenell states that Biden never worked to do so throughout his four decades as a politician, declaring, “This is why I believe we need President Trump in office for another four years, and I’m certainly not the only one,” he stated, as the video then cuts to a photograph of Trump holding a homosexual flag during a 2016 campaign rally.
“There are millions of patriotic gay Americans who are sick of being told to sit down and shut up by those who want to control us, those who are afraid of our voice, those who want to keep equality a partisan issue,” he says.
“Gay people don’t have to vote Democrat because Donald Trump is the most pro-gay president in American history,” he asserts, donning a rainbow “Make America Great Again” hat, available in the store section of the Trump official website.
As previously reported, in 2018, the White House sent a signed letter of congratulations for the 40th anniversary of Log Cabin Republicans, with the correspondence stating in part, “No matter the color of our skin or our sexual orientation, we all live under the same laws, salute the same great American flag, and are made in the image of the same Almighty God.”
Last year, Trump personally posted two tweets in recognition of homosexual and transgender “Pride Month,” asking Americans to “stand in solidarity” with homosexuals who live in countries where such sexual practices are illegal, as well as for nations to join his administration’s campaign to decriminalize homosexuality worldwide.
“As we celebrate LGBT Pride Month and recognize the outstanding contributions LGBT people have made to our great nation, let us also stand in solidarity with the many LGBT people who live in dozens of countries worldwide that punish, imprison, or even execute individuals on the basis of their sexual orientation,” he wrote.
“My administration has launched a global campaign to decriminalize homosexuality and invite all nations to join us in this effort!” Trump urged.
In February, Trump advised during an interview with Fox News journalist Geraldo Rivera that while some Americans would oppose a homosexual president, such as then-candidate Pete Buttigieg, he would have no problem with it.
“I think there would be some that wouldn’t [vote for a homosexual], and I wouldn’t be among that group to be honest with you,” he said. “I think that it doesn’t seem to be hurting Pete Boot-edge-edge … It doesn’t seem to be hurting him very much. There would certainly be a group — you know this better than I do — that there would be a group that probably wouldn’t [vote for a homosexual]. But you or I would not be in that group.”
When interviewed by Fox’s Steve Hilton in 2019, Trump agreed that “it’s great” that Buttgieg is campaigning for office with his “husband.”
“Putting aside policy disagreements, don’t you think that it’s just great to see the guy there on the stage with his husband, and it’s normal?” Hilton, host of “The Next Revolution,” asked.
“I think it’s absolutely fine. I do,” Trump replied. “I think it’s absolutely fine.”
“Isn’t it a sign of great progress in the country?” Hilton inquired, continuing to prompt the president to concur that the development is positive.
“Yeah, I think it’s great,” Trump answered unflinchingly. “I think that’s something that perhaps some people will have a problem with, [but] I have no problem with it whatsoever. I think it’s good.”
During the 2016 presidential election, Trump asked during one campaign speech, “So you tell me, who’s better for the gay community, and who’s better for women than Donald Trump? Believe me!”
After being elected, he decided to keep intact Barack Obama’s 2014 order banning federal contractors from engaging in “discrimination” in employment matters against homosexual and transgendered persons.
“President Trump continues to be respectful and supportive of LGBTQ rights, just as he was throughout the election,” the White House said in a statement at that time. “The president is proud to have been the first ever GOP nominee to mention the LGBTQ community in his nomination acceptance speech, pledging then to protect the community from violence and oppression.”
His website has featured homosexual-themed apparel for a number of years. As previously reported, both Trump and Biden are currently selling Pride apparel on their websites.
Both candidates have expressed support for homosexuals for years, with Biden officiating two same-sex ceremonies for staffers.

Founding father Noah Webster, known for penning the American dictionary, once wrote in exhorting fellow Christians, “When you become entitled to exercise the right of voting for public officers, let it be impressed on your mind that God commands you to choose for rulers just men who will rule in the fear of God.”

A Trump-appointed bioethics advisory board issued a report on Tuesday that U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Alex M. Azar II calls a “de facto government ban” on funding research using aborted fetal cells.
The group, officially called the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Human Fetal Tissue Research Ethics Advisory Board, recommended the American government reject funding for 13 of 14 research projects planning to use aborted baby body parts.
The applications, which were sent to the U.S. National Institutes of Health (NIH), had already been recommended for funding.
However, under President Trump’s new process, scientists funded by the NIH to work on human fetal tissue projects have to go through a second layer of ethics screening before being approved.
LifeNews.com reports, “The board examined 14 research grant proposals based on ‘the scientific justification for the use and quantity of HFT [human fetal tissue] proposed and the use of alternate models’ as well as whether there was adequate informed consent for the mothers donating it, according to the report.”
One study the group rejected was allegedly “too interwoven with the practice of abortion,” and they argued other studies could use miscarried babies instead of aborted ones.
The board noted they wouldn’t have issues with most of the projects if they could find more ethical materials to work with.
In 2018, Trump’s HHS put $20 million into a project searching for ethical alternatives to aborted fetal tissue in scientific research.
Predictably, many on the left have attacked the advisory board and accused it of being biased.
For example, a virologist at the University of Pittsburgh named Carolyn Coyne said, “This is a ban disguised as an ethics committee. So, the ‘ethics’ of research was decided by a largely Christian/Catholic, white panel.”
However, other scientists disagree and understand there are ethical alternatives available for research that do not involve ripping fetuses from the womb.
HHS Secretary Azar will ultimately make the final decision on whether or not to fund each of the 14 proposals.
LA COUNTY SEEKING $20,000 IN FINES AGAINST PASTOR JOHN MACARTHUR, GRACE COMMUNITY CHURCH FOR CONTEMPT OF COURT

(Fox News) — Los Angeles County is moving to hold a prominent megachurch pastor in contempt of court after he hosted three indoor services Sunday — effectively defying a late-night court order that his church must comply with California’s coronavirus restrictions.
The county is claiming that Grace Community Church and Pastor John MacArthur should each face $4,000 in fines — or $1,000 for every act of contempt they’re alleging. The county also seeks an additional $6,000 in fines from both defendants for violations of court orders, bringing the total to $20,000.
“Defendants’ actions this past Sunday likewise constitute four separate violations of the TRO and Court of Appeal Order by each Defendant. Therefore, the Court should sanction each Defendant $1,500 per violation, for a total of $6,000 per Defendant,” the request reads. Both MacArthur and his church are named as defendants.

On condition that his congregation wear masks and follow social-distancing guidelines, Pastor John MacArthur of Grace Community Church in Sun Valley, California, was prepared to hold indoor services on Sunday.
Those were the conditions set by a lower court on Friday, which turned aside Los Angeles County’s demand to close the church to inside services altogether. MacArthur said he’d be willing to follow those guidelines as a gesture of good will, in anticipation of a full hearing on the matter on September 4.
But that wasn’t good enough for Los Angeles County and its health official. Late Friday night, they appealed the decision to the Second Appellate District’s Court of Appeals, asking it to set aside the lower court’s agreement with the church.
On Saturday, a three-judge panel of that court tossed that lower court’s ruling and agreement and said that the county could continue to ban indoor services at Grace Community Church.
The panel said they couldn’t decide the issue instantly, that the issues were too involved, and consequently the county’s demands must remain in place:
The questions presented in the County’s … petition are easy to articulate: May the county enforce the portion of its Health Order prohibiting “indoor religious services” as a means of limiting the spread of COVID-19?
Nested within this question is another: Does the prohibition on “indoor religious services” infringe upon the constitutional right of the Church (and its parishioners) to the free exercise of their religion?
Definitively resolving these questions, however, will entail the resolution of difficult questions of law. We certainly cannot resolve them before tomorrow [Sunday] morning’s church services….
Justice requires that [we] issue a stay order to preserve [our] own jurisdiction … while [we] prepare … to rule on the merits of those questions….
The County is [therefore] empowered to enforce [its] “indoor religious services” provision of its Health Order.
To which Pastor MacArthur said the equivalent of “nuts to you!” In his opening remarks on Sunday he told his congregation:
We agreed: we’ll comply for a few weeks. They [the county] asked for three weeks. We’re not wanting to be defiant. We will do what is reasonable.
That was not enough for the city.
They went to the appellate court Saturday late and had that order removed….
They don’t want us to meet. That’s obvious. They’re not willing to work with us. They just want to shut us down.
But we’re here to bring honor to the Lord. We are holding church … because our Lord commands it.
The congregation erupted with applause and cheers.
The next move is up to the court. Are they going to enforce their ruling? If so, how? With police, with guns, and badges? Will they seal off the entrance to the church so that no one can enter? Will they arrest Pastor MacArthur?
If so, is this really the message they want to deliver to the millions of believers across the country watching the confrontation between church and state play out?

Appeals Court Overturns Injunction That Allowed MacArthur to Hold Indoor Services, Church Gathers Anyway

LOS ANGELES — A California appeals court on Saturday overturned a temporary injunction that prohibited Los Angeles County from enforcing an order prohibiting indoor church services, a day after a trial judge allowed renowned pastor John MacArthur and Grace Community Church to hold gatherings in the building’s sanctuary. The church proceeded with services as usual despite the order.
“At this very preliminary stage in this litigation, the County has demonstrated a likelihood that it will prevail on the merits of enforcing its July 18, 2020 health order. The County’s health order is presumed to be constitutional unless its ‘unconstitutionality clearly, positively and unmistakably appears,'” wrote presiding justice Elwood Lui, along with judges Victoria Chavez and Brian Hoffstadt for the Second District, Division Two.
“Given the preliminary state of the evidentiary record as well as the weight of precedent favoring the enforcement of COVID-19-related restrictions, the presumption that the health order’s ‘indoor religious services’ provision is valid has yet to be rebutted,” they stated.
The court said that while the church may not hold services indoors under the County order, it is free to hold them outside.
The panel opined:
“Were we to not issue a stay of the trial court’s order, the County would be barred from enforcing that provision and the Church would be able to conduct its services indoors, even though indoor church services have been a ‘source of outbreak’ of COVID-19 due to the heightened risk of transmission when people are ‘in close proximity to one another for extended periods of time’ and they are ‘singing, shouting and chanting,’ risks that ‘physical distancing and wearing a mask’ ‘do not eliminate.'”
Therefore, due to “the harm that flows from having to conduct religious services outdoors instead of indoors, the balance at this early stage favors issuance of a stay,” it said.

Los Angeles County issued a press release likewise reiterating that outdoor services are permissible while indoor gatherings are not.
“Los Angeles County is pleased that the California Court of Appeal recognizes the vital importance of our health officer orders in protecting the lives and health of our residents as we work to slow the spread of the deadly COVID-19 virus,” it stated.
“Outdoor religious observances are permitted; participants must wear cloth face coverings and maintain six feet of distance from each other unless they live in the same household.”
According to reports and online videos, Grace Community Church held indoor services anyway on Sunday out its stance that the government does not have jurisdiction over matters of the Church.
“[W]e’re not meeting because want to be rebellious,” MacArthur stated from the pulpit, according to the Washington Times. “We’re meeting because our Lord has commanded us to come together and worship Him.”
“They were going to be asking us to do two things, social distance and wear masks,” he explained of Friday’s initial ruling. “We agreed, [saying,] ‘Look, we’ll comply for a few weeks.’ They asked that for three weeks. We’re not wanting to be defiant. We will do what is reasonable. That was not enough for the [county]. They went to the appellate court Saturday late, and had that order removed.”
Attendees did not wear masks during the service, but some did social distance as evidenced by video footage of a children’s choir that performed standing feet apart from each other.
As previously reported, MacArthur and Grace Community Church, with the assistance of the Thomas More Society, filed suit against California Gov. Gavin Newsom, officials with the Los Angeles County Health Department and others last week to challenge the prohibition on indoor church services, over which he is being threatened with fines and/or jail time.
“Defendants’ mandates are not ‘narrowly tailored’ to further any compelling governmental interest,” the lawsuit stated. “Defendants have granted numerous special exemptions to their bans on public gatherings and conduct, including for purportedly ‘essential’ businesses and activities, including, for example, cannabis dispensaries, abortion and other medical providers, daycare and childcare, and shopping.”
“Defendants have also provided a de facto exemption for protests against the unjust death of George Floyd, without extending the same solicitude to Plaintiffs’ religious gatherings,” it argued. “Since these gatherings may be permitted, there can be no doubt that Defendants must also permit Plaintiffs to engage in religious activities and services.”
The County issued MacArthur and Grace Community Church a cease and desist letter on July 29, advising that MacArthur could be subject to a fine “of up to $1,000 and imprisonment of up to 90 days” for continuing to hold indoor church services. It noted that “[e]ach day that you conduct indoor services is a separate offense.”
“The County requests that you immediately cease holding indoor worship services or other indoor gatherings, and adhere to the health officer order directives governing activities at houses of worship,” the letter, written by attorney Jason Tokoro of the law firm Miller Barondess, LLP, states. “If you or Grace Community Church continue to hold indoor services in violation of the law, you are subject to criminal and civil liability.”
Grace Community Church had complied with the initial prohibition on indoor services in the spring because, according to a statement, leadership did not know at that time “the true severity of the virus” and they believe it is “legitimate for Christians to abstain from the assembly of saints temporarily in the face of illness or an imminent threat to public health.”
But because “[i]t is apparent that those original projections of death were wrong and the virus is nowhere near as dangerous as originally feared” and cancellations of 2021 public events signaled that shutdowns would drag out into next year, the church felt that California had “force[d] churches to choose between the clear command of our Lord and the government officials.”

Hallmark isn’t the only network that plans to air films with homosexual themes this upcoming holiday season. While some are stated to be celebrating the arrival of the Messiah, come to save men from their sins, Lifetime plans to air a movie with its main plot being about two men who are attracted to each other.
Among the 30 new films set for its “It’s a Wonderful Lifetime” lineup will be “The Christmas Set Up”.
“Hugo, a New York corporate lawyer, and his best friend Madelyn head to Milwaukee to spend the holidays with his mom Kate, who is also in charge of the local Christmas celebrations. Ever the matchmaker, Kate arranges for Hugo to run into Patrick, Hugo’s high school friend and secret crush, who has recently returned after a successful stint in Silicon Valley,” a description of the movie states.
“As they enjoy the local holiday festivities together, Hugo and Patrick’s attraction to each other is undeniable and it looks as though Kate’s well-intentioned Santa-style matchmaking is a success,” it says. “But as Hugo receives word of a big promotion requiring a move to London, he must decide what is most important to him.”
The story was written by Michael J. Murray and will be produced by Neshama Entertainment in association with MarVista Entertainment. Casting and production are stated to be underway this month.
Lifetime said in a press release that “The Christmas Set Up” and other films set to air demonstrate the company’s “commitment for diverse storytelling with its storylines, talent and characters.”
“We are thrilled to continue our legacy of creating a holiday destination that is welcoming to all at Lifetime,” Executive Vice President and Head of Programming Amy Winter remarked in a statement.
The outlet mentioned the upcoming movie in a post to social media on Aug. 3, stating that it is “the network’s first movie with a LGBTQ romance as the lead story.”
As previously reported, the Hallmark Channel aired its first movie with a same-sex “wedding” theme this past weekend and plans to release more films with homosexual themes as it plans to work with the organization GLAAD to “better represent the LGBTQ community across [its] portfolio of brands.”
Parent company Crown Media Family Networks advised last month that it is in “active negotiations” as it plans to include “LGBT storylines” in its “Countdown to Christmas” and “Miracles of Christmas” programming later this year.
“Diversity and inclusion is a top priority for us and we look forward to making some exciting programming announcements in the coming months, including announcements about projects featuring LGBTQ storylines, characters, and actors,” George Zaralidis, the vice president of network program publicity with Crown Media Family Networks, told NBC News.
The outlet reports that former Crown Media CEO told the Hollywood Reporter last year that Hallmark was open to “any type of movie of any type of relationship in any space.”
Executive Vice President of Programming and Network Publicity Michelle Vicary similarly outlined that Crown was “looking at pitches for LGBTQ movies … and we are looking to expand and represent the United States as a whole.”
As previously reported, while the common argument among those who identify as homosexual is that they were “born that way” and cannot change, the Bible teaches that all men are in the exact same predicament as none can shed their birth nature on their own.
Scripture states that all are born with the Adamic sin nature and are therefore “by nature the children of wrath” (Ephesians 2:3), having various inherent feelings and inclinations that are contrary to the law and will of God and being utterly incapable of changing by themselves (Job 14:4).
It is why Jesus came: to “save His people from their sins” (Matthew 1:21) and that they might be “saved from wrath through Him” (Romans 5:9) — taking out of the way for those who are saved both the penalty for, and the power of, sin.
Jesus also outlined in John 3:5-7 that men must be made anew by the second birth, and be transformed from being in Adam to being in Christ, or they cannot see the kingdom of Heaven.
“Verily, verily, I say unto thee, except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, ye must be born again.’”
This work of the Holy Spirit is known in Christianity as the doctrine of regeneration. A man or woman regenerated by Spirit of God will also undergo a lifelong process of sanctification, turning from realized sins to “walk as He walked” (1 John 2:6).

Witch, Demon-Themed Animation ‘The Owl House’ Features First Bisexual Character on Disney Channel

An animated series on the Disney Channel that centers on the adventures of a teenage girl who travels to another world and becomes a witch’s apprentice features the first bisexual character to air on the youth-aimed station, it has been revealed.
“The Owl House” creator Dana Terrace recently outlined on Twitter that as she herself identifies as bisexual, she wanted to depict one of the characters as being attracted to both males and females. At first, she was told that such a depiction would not be allowed.
“In dev (development) I was very open about my intention to put queer kids in the main cast,” Terrace wrote. “I’m a horrible liar, so sneaking it in would’ve been hard haha. When we were greenlit, I was told by certain Disney leadership that I could NOT represent any form of bi or gay relationship on the channel.”
However, Terrence said that she continued to push the idea and was eventually given the go-ahead.
“I’m bi! I want to write a bi character, [expletive]! Luckily my stubbornness paid off and now I am VERY supported by current Disney leadership. Not to mention the amazingness of this crew,” she stated.
“The Owl House”, which began airing in January of this year, is a fantasy series about a 14-year-old girl named Luz (played by Sarah-Nicole Robles) who travels to another world — the Demon Realm of the Boiling Isles — where humans are not well-liked. The Isles are stated to be a place where “every myth you humans have is caused by a little of our world leaking into yours.”
Luz becomes the apprentice of a witch named Eda (played by Wendie Malick) and a demon who goes by the name King as he claims he was once a ruler and desires to regain his power (played by Alex Hirsch).
Students attend the Hexside School of Magic and Demonics, and inhabitants who “do not conform to the norms of society” are sent to the Conformatorium, supervised by Warden Wrath.
Episodes include “A Lying Witch and a Warden”, “Witches Before Wizards”, “Wing It Like Witches”, and “Young Blood, Old Souls”.
According to reports, in some episodes, Luz is portrayed as being attracted to men, but in the episodes “Enchanting Grom Fright” and “Wing It Like Witches”, viewers note that the witch Amity begins forming a friendship with Luz and had intentions to ask her to prom (Grom) as her date. The two dance in one scene.
Terrace and others confirmed that the depiction of Luz was meant to be bisexual.
“Back when I made GF (‘Gravity Falls’) Disney FORBADE me from any explicit LGBTQ+ rep. Apparently ‘happiest place on earth’ meant ‘straightest’ But as of today, thanks to @DanaTerrace & team there are explicitly queer ANIMATED MAIN CHARACTERS on DISNEY TV. I’m so proud & happy to say that,” wrote Alex Hirsch.
However, not everyone was thrilled about the revelation.
“Why not let children be children? Children don’t need to learn about sexual orientations or sexual attraction on cartoons,” one commenter wrote under Terrace’s tweet. “No more ‘Owl House’ in my house.”
“Children need to focus on being children, not sexuality at a young age. Disney’s twisted, shoving alter-sexuality down our kids throats. No, at a young age, this isn’t right, isn’t normal and this agenda needs to be dismantled,” another stated.
“Adults should stop trying to get into children’s heads. These are adult topics being forced into tender innocent minds. Shame,” a third likewise opined.
As previously reported, besides its more recent inclusion of homosexuality in its productions (“Andi Mack”, “Star vs. the Forces of Evil”, “Beauty and the Beast”, “Onward”, “DuckTales”), Disney, known for its “Magic Kingdom,” has been recognized for decades for its focus on magic, sorcery and witchcraft, from its early productions of “Fantasia” (1940), “Snow White” (1937) and “Bedknobs and Broomsticks” (1971) to the present-day “Maleficent” (2014 and 2019), “Frozen” (2013 and 2019) and “Onward” (2020).
Witchcraft and homosexuality are both forbidden in God’s law.
THE GOSPEL
While a common argument among those who struggle with feelings toward the same sex is that they were “born this way,” the Bible teaches that all are born with the Adamic sin nature (Romans 5:19), having various inherent feelings and inclinations that are contrary to the law of God and being utterly incapable of changing by themselves (Job 14:4).
All men, therefore, face the same predicament, being natural lawbreakers and guilty in the sight of God (Romans 3:19), evoking His wrath.
“[W]e all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others,” Ephesians 2:3 outlines.
“All we like sheep have gone astray. We have turned every one to his own way,” Isaiah 53:6 reads, “and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.”
It is why Jesus came: to do what men could not do for themselves, to “save His people from their sins” (Matthew 1:21).
Scripture outlines that Jesus came to be the propitiation for men’s sins (1 John 2:2; 1 John 4:10), a doctrine in Christianity known as substitutionary atonement, and to save men from the wrath of God for their violations against His law (Romans 4:25, Romans 5:9, Romans 5:16), a doctrine known as justification.
In light of Christ laying down his life for His enemies (Romans 5:10), God calls all men to repent and believe the gospel (Mark 1:15).
Acts 2:38-40 exhorts, “Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. For the promise is unto you and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.”
The Bible also teaches about regeneration, as in addition to sparing guilty men from eternal punishment, Christ sent his Holy Spirit to make those who would repent and believe new creatures in the here and now, with new desires and an ability to do what is pleasing in the sight of God by His indwelling and empowerment (Ezekiel 11:19, 2 Corinthians 5:17, Titus 3:5).
Jesus said that men must be born again — a work of the Spirit transforming their very nature from being in Adam to being in Christ, or they cannot see the Kingdom of God (John 3:3-8).
“Jesus answered and said unto him, ‘Verily, verily, I say unto thee, except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.’ Nicodemus saith unto him, ‘How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter the second time into his mother’s womb and be born?’ Jesus answered, ‘Verily, verily, I say unto thee, except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, ye must be born again.’”
Ezekiel speaks of God transplanting the regenerated with a new heart and spirit, stating, “A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you, and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh.”

MG: Well it goes back to an agreement, it’s an interim agreement that was signed by the Vatican and the Chinese government back in 2018. Shortly after the interim agreement was signed China continued to demolish Roman Catholic churches and crosses and continues to hold their clergy in detention. But because the Communist party has continued to destroy Catholic churches the Pope came out and said, “we intrust the pastors and faithful of the Catholic church in the great country to the guidance and protection not of God but of our heavenly mother so that they may be strong in the faith and firm and fraternal union”.
The Pope is recognizing that the Catholic church in China is under persecution by the communist government. So rather than intrust to almighty God the sovereign king of the world and universe he intrust the Catholic church to the guidance and protection of Mother Mary. Again an example of how the Roman Catholic church esteems Mary and gives her the attributes of God. We know that God is the only one that has the power to protect anyone on this earth but yet the Catholic church doesn’t know the Bible very well. We read in Psalm 148:13, let them praise the name of the Lord for His name alone is exalted, His splendor is above the earth and above the heavens. If Catholics would only read their Bible the truth would set them free from this religious deception that holds them in bondage. Don’t listen to the Pope, test everything he says with the authority of God’s word.

Ron Burns — better known by his Islamic Black Nationalist name — Thabiti Anyabwile, is a Southern Baptist pastor and an author at Mark Dever’s 9Marks ministry as well as The Gospel Coalition. Anyabwile recently denounced his faith in favor of “black solidarity” because he, like all people who have succumbed to the temptation of self-preservation served up by the vain philosophies of social justice, decided he would be safer that way.
Anyabwile recently garnered the applause of Evangelical leaders who like to pretend they’re apolitical when, in fact, they are leftists whose sole purpose in life is to guilt conservatives into abstaining from voting conservatively when he tweeted out that being “politically homeless” is “one of the best things” that could happen to Christians.
Of course, this notion is absurd on the face of it and is, once again, nothing more than an attempt to move conservatives away from conservative politics and embrace the social justice movement of the left. What Anyabwile means by “politically homeless” does not mean that one should be untied from a particular political party. What he means by this is that one should not embrace the ideas of either of the major political parties and, instead, treat both political parties as equally aberrant and embrace some form of “third way.” The only problem is, this “third way” that they seek to embrace is nothing more than repackaged Democrat politics with a new name.
Look no further than the And Campaign to see what we mean. This third way embraces “choice” in abortion with, instead of the government limiting the evil of abortion, it financially subsidizes fornication. This third way embraces open-borders and illegal immigration and amnesty. It embraces wealth-redistribution, welfare, and free healthcare. And proponents of the third way don’t want to be called Democrats, so they, instead, call themselves “politically homeless” and sob and lament as they embrace the political candidate that most closely identifies with their beliefs — Democrats.
And that’s exactly what Anyabwile is doing. Anyabwile, who once endorsed Bernie Sanders as the “best” candidate for black Americans has now embraced the most pro-abortion, pro-LGBTQ Democrat ticket in all of American history.
This really shouldn’t surprise anyone, however, as Anyabwile has consistently pushed for Democrat policies such as reparations, doing away with the Second Amendment, and has hijacked the pro-life movement to now include social justice and welfare for people based on their skin color. He has endorsed marching with violent anarchist groups to oppose law enforcement and has partnered with Obama staffers to do so, himself.
