Indictment Is About Preventing Trump From Running Again

Rep. Jamaal Bowman (D-Mad Rage), fresh from his hissy fit over the prospect of law-abiding Americans being armed and able to defend themselves, has confirmed what everyone suspected about the Trump indictment: it’s all designed to prevent him from being able to run for president again in 2024. The entire weak case that Manhattan Trump-hating District Attorney Alvin Bragg has cobbled together for the first-ever indictment of a former president of the United States and current presidential candidate if it works according to plan, will take the Democrats’ chief opponent out of the picture and ease their way to implementing their entire sinister and authoritarian agenda.

Bowman began by rubbing his hands in gleeful anticipation of further legal persecution of Trump: “Being indicted for falsifying business records with hush money is only the beginning of being held accountable for his crimes.” After all these years and so many failed frame-up jobs, the walls really are finally closing in! “Trump attempted to illegally overturn election results in Georgia and worked to incite the insurrection at the Capitol, both in an effort to overthrow our government to advance his fascist cause.” The irony of accusing Trump of fascism while eagerly applauding an attempt to use the legal system to destroy a political opponent, on the basis of a case so weak that even Trump haters admit its weakness, was apparently lost on Bowman.

Impervious to self-reflection, Bowman plowed on, charging that Trump’s “continued calls for protests following his arrest are just another dog whistle for his followers: destroy our democracy.” This and his bit about Trump’s “fascist cause” was reminiscent of a recent Babylon Bee headline: “Democrats Vow To Arrest As Many Political Opponents As It Takes To Defeat Fascism.” The Democrats love to posture as the guardians of what they persist in calling “our democracy,” heedless of the fact that it is actually a republic, not a democracy at all. Not just Bowman, but all the Democrats have steadfastly insisted that the legal persecution of Donald Trump was entirely above board, for “no one is above the law.” No one, that is, except those who keep insisting that no one is above the law, as well as Hunter Biden, Hillary Clinton, Nancy “Insider Trading” Pelosi, and all the rest of the Leftist elites.

The “democracy” that the Democrats are busy saving from Donald Trump for us is one in which neither Trump himself nor anyone like Trump (yes, I mean Ron DeSantis) can hold any significant political office. Such people, as Old Joe Biden told us last September, “represent an extremism that threatens the very foundations of our republic.” In order to save “our democracy,” the Democrats have to destroy anyone and everyone who presents a genuinely viable alternative to their program for the nation. Then we can have peaceful, placid, free, and fair elections offering us a choice between a Leftist candidate and a more Leftist candidate, and all will be well. And no, the legal elimination (on false pretenses) of one’s political opponents isn’t fascism! Of course, it isn’t! Hitler just killed his opponents; he only rarely subjected them to show trials!

Massively indignant to the point of hysteria as always, Bowman continued: “Republicans will continue to claim this was a political arrest, but they can’t continue to hide behind their lies, misinformation, and racist attacks towards Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg.” Who has attacked Bragg on racial grounds? No one, of course. But it wouldn’t be a Democrat speaking about his opposition if there weren’t charges of racism involved.

Then Bowman got to the heart of the matter: “It’s time that we ensure Trump is banned from running for any public office again and from there, finally take action to fix our democracy.” Once we take out the actual opposition, you see, “our democracy” will be fixed. Once our elections are like those in the old Soviet Union, where the approved candidate gets 99% of the vote and even his opponents vote for him, why, then we’ll have real “democracy.” Once every candidate in every election thinks exactly the same way about all the most important issues facing us, once we get to that blissful stage, the heavens will open, and true “democracy” will descend upon us in all its glory.

You heard it here first: Jamaal Bowman is a fascist. He and his political allies are all fascists. A hallmark of fascism was corrupting the institutions of the state to serve as the instruments of the ruling party, so as to ensure its continued hegemony. With the indictment of Donald Trump, fascism has definitively arrived in America.

Trump Supporter Found Guilty, Faces Ten Years in Prison for 2016 Anti-Hillary Meme

Donald Trump has been indicted, essentially for the crime of being Donald Trump and opposing the Left’s total hegemony over everything. But as Trump himself has often warned, they’re not really after him, they’re after us, and he is just in the way. A 33-year-old Trump supporter named Douglass Mackey discovered the truth of that adage in the worst possible way on Friday, the first day of America as a Leftist banana republic in which foes of the regime are targeted solely for their opposition to that regime. Mackey was convicted of election interference and faces up to ten years in prison, all because of a meme he tweeted during the 2016 election. Yes, you read that right: a meme.

Back during the wild and woolly days of that campaign, according to a Friday press release from the “Justice” Department, Mackey, under the name Ricky Vaughn, “established an audience on Twitter with approximately 58,000 followers. A February 2016 analysis by the MIT Media Lab ranked Mackey as the 107th most important influencer of the then-upcoming Presidential Election.” The Justice for Democrats Department didn’t bother to explain exactly what it means to have held a position so illustrious as that of the 107th most important influencer of the 2016 presidential election. How did the DOJ go about determining this? Did it somehow discover that Mackey/Vaughn had induced a certain number of people to change their votes, but that 106 other people had gotten people to change more votes?

These are actually important questions because, on Friday, Mackey was convicted “by a federal jury in Brooklyn of the charge of Conspiracy Against Rights stemming from his scheme to deprive individuals of their constitutional right to vote.” That’s what he faces ten years in prison for doing. Mackey’s “conspiracy” was really quite simple. While the language the Department Formerly Associated with Justice used sounds quite weighty and conjures up images of Mackey meeting in dark rooms with other sinister figures to plot ways to sabotage voting machines or prevent people from being able to enter polling places, what they’re really talking about is a meme.

One of the ten-years-in-the-slammer memes can be seen here. Vaughn tweeted a photo of what looked like a Hillary ad but was actually a parody of a Hillary ad. The caption read: “Avoid the line. Vote from home. Text ‘Hillary’ to 59925. Vote for Hillary and be a part of history.” The Justice Unless You Support Trump Department explained that this was a heinous crime because “Mackey conspired with other influential Twitter users and with members of private online groups to use social media platforms, including Twitter, to disseminate fraudulent messages that encouraged supporters of presidential candidate Hillary Clinton to ‘vote’ via text message or social media which, in reality, was legally invalid.” Yeah, wow, doggonit, that sounds terrible. Thousands, maybe even millions, of people, must have been bamboozled by the 107th most important influencer of the then-upcoming Presidential Election to send in a text and think they had voted, right?

Wrong. The Justice Department, according to the Post Millennial, “was unable to provide evidence that anyone was deceived by the meme.” Not even a single person. What’s more, at least one semester on the other side did exactly the same thing and was never arrested or tried and faces no prison time. On Nov. 8, 2016, which was election day, Kristina Wong tweeted a video of a Trump supporter with the caption: “Hey Trump Supporters! Skip poll lines at #Election2016 and TEXT in your vote! Text votes are legit. Or vote tomorrow on Super Wednesday!” Not only was Kristina Wong never prosecuted, but her tweet is still live. Yet she did exactly the same thing Douglass Mackey did. She just had the good sense to do it against Trump, rather than against Hillary.

The rotten, corrupt, politicized remains of the Justice Department, however, were full to the brim of their own righteousness on Friday. U.S. Attorney Breon Peace proclaimed, “Mackey has been found guilty by a jury of his peers of attempting to deprive individuals from exercising their sacred right to vote for the candidate of their choice in the 2016 Presidential Election.” The contemporary American Left, one of the most impious and God-hating political movements in the history of the world, loves to affect piety at times like this, but Peace’s statement was a particularly nauseating example of this phenomenon. The right to vote is “sacred”? No, Peace. I’m all for voting in free, fair, unrigged elections, but be serious: the right to vote is not held as sacred in any religious tradition on the face of the earth. What you’re actually saying is that your corrupt and self-serving system is part of your secular religion and that Mackey is a heretic from that religion; he has been duly found guilty and will be burned at the stake.

And this is just day one. Imagine what America will be like once the banana republic has been fully in power for a few years.

As international human rights organizations have called for the release of Matiullah Wesa, founder and leader of Pen Path charity. No one knows where he is following his arrest at gunpoint and beating by the Taliban..

Afghanistan is known as the “most repressive country in the world” for women’s rights; the country adheres rigidly to Sharia law. The only way any rights for women and girls will be restored in Afghanistan is if the Taliban is overthrown and replaced with a more humane government. But the likelihood of that happening is slim, particularly after the catastrophic failure of the Biden administration’s withdrawal from Afghanistan. Even former Afghan President Ashraf Ghani, as corrupt as he was reported to be, stated that his biggest mistake was trusting America.

“Founder of Afghan girls’ school project arrested in Kabul,” by Ruchi Kumar and Emma Graham-Harrison, Guardian, March 28, 2023:

A prominent activist for girls’ education has been arrested in Afghanistan, in the latest sign that hardline Taliban authorities are determined to stamp out all opposition to their ban on girls and women attending school or universities.

Matiullah Wesa, founder and leader of the Pen Path charity, had been fighting for education for Afghan children who were out of school – both boys and girls – for more than a decade, with a focus on rural areas of southern Afghanistan.

Top diplomats and human rights groups, including a senior UN envoy and Amnesty International, called for his immediate release.

“He could have left Afghanistan, but he stayed despite the risks to work for his people, advocating for education rights for girls,” said Samira Hamidi, Amnesty International’s South Asia campaigner.

Wesa was detained after attending prayers at his local mosque on Friday, his brother, Attaullah Wesa, told the Guardian: “Matiullah was at the mosque in Kabul, offering his prayers. When he stepped out, there were gunmen in two vehicles who ran towards him to arrest him.”

“Our elder brother was with Matiullah and they tried to question the men, asked them to show ID, but they showed him their weapons instead and took him away,” he said, adding that the family was very concerned about Matiullah’s safety….
