Nigeria: Muslims have murdered 52,250 Christians in jihad attacks since 2009

Thousands of Christians have been killed in Nigeria since the Islamist uprising began in 2009, a recent investigation has established, further revealing that “1,041 defenseless Christians” were put to death in the first 100 days of 2023.

The latest report by the International Society for Civil Liberties and Rule of Law (Intersociety) indicates, “Since the 2009 Islamic uprising, 52,250 Christians and 34,000 moderate Muslims have been butchered or hacked to death.”

“30,250 of those have been killed since 2015, when President Muhhamadu Buhari came to power,” authors of the report by the Intersociety, a research and investigative rights group, which has been monitoring and investigating religious persecution and other forms of religious violence by State and non-State actors across Nigeria since 2010, say.

According to the report by the human rights group that does research and investigation by direct contacts with the victims, eyewitnesses, media tracking, review of credible local and international reports, interviews and closed sources among other methods, thousands of Christian deaths are attributed to “Jihadist Fulani Herdsmen”.

“The 52,250 Christian deaths in Nigeria in fourteen years recorded addition of 9,250 Christian deaths from the July 2021 figure of 43,000; out of which, Jihadist Fulani Herdsmen accounted for 6,000 Christian deaths and security forces, Jihadist Fulani Bandits, BH, ISWAP, Ansaru and others 3,250,” the report released on Tuesday, April 11, indicates.

“Buhari’s radical Islamism since 2015 had killed 30,250 Christians and attacked 18,000 churches and 2,200 Christian schools,” the authors of the report say, and add that since 2009, “14 million Christians have been uprooted and forced to flee their homes and 800 Christian communities attacked”.

Authors of the Intersociety report say that “Christians of Benue, Kaduna, Plateau, Taraba, Niger, Borno, Yobe, Adamawa, Kebbi worst affected in the attacks,” and that Christians living in Eastern Nigeria have been “worst hit in Nigerian military killings and property destructions on ethno-religious grounds.”…

In the 2023 investigation, Intersociety researchers found that “no fewer than 1,041 defenseless Christians were hacked to death by Nigeria’s Jihadists in the first 100 days of 2023 or 1st Jan to 10th April 2023.”

Their investigations established that “not less than 380 Christians were slaughtered by Jihadist Fulani Herdsmen in 100 days in Benue, 102 in Kaduna, 150 in Christian parts of Niger State (Paikoro, Munya, Shiroro, Rafi, etc), 100 deaths in Borno, Yobe and Adamawa by BH/ISWAP); 32 Christian deaths in Plateau, 20 in Ondo, 11 in Edo, 10 in Delta as well as Kebbi 10 deaths, Bauchi 9 deaths, Taraba 14 deaths, Katsina 10 deaths, Enugu 6 deaths; and 60 deaths arising from the military killings in the East since Jan 2023 and others 50 deaths.”

“Also, no fewer than 707 Christians were abducted within the same period; out of which Niger State recorded more than 200 abductions including 14th March 2023 abduction of over 100 Christians in Adunu (Paikoro),” the Intersociety researchers say in the report signed by their Board Chair & Lead-Researcher, Emeka Umeagbalasi….

The latest Intersociety report also makes reference to its 2022 report, saying, “5,068 Christians (were) hacked to death in 2022 and hundreds disappeared without trace.”

The organization “emotionally” dedicates its investigative report to “1,041 slain and disappeared victims of the Jihadist Fulani Herdsmen and other Jihadists’ genocidal attacks carried out across Nigeria in the first 100 days of 2023.”

Brutal Mass Shooting in Alabama, Soon to Be Memory-Holed, Leaves Four Dead, 20 Injured

Twenty-four people were shot Saturday night at a Sweet 16 birthday party in Dadeville, Ala., population 3,000.

FACT-O-RAMA! A mass shooting is when four or more people are shot, not including the shooter, in a fluid situation. Hence, when a transgender shooter killed three people — and himself — in 2017, it was not considered to be a mass shooting.

There are few details, but sources confirm that four people are dead and 20 are wounded, most of them teens.

The shooting took place at the Mahogany Masterpiece Dance Studio around 10:30 p.m.

FACT-O-RAMA! A reporter from Alexander City Outlook stated that the police were being “tight-lipped” regarding the identity of the shooter and whether anyone is in custody; however, they claim there is no danger to the public at this time.

Local law enforcement held a press conference on Sunday but revealed little.

Dadeville Police Chief Jonathan Floyd requested that the investigation be turned over to Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA).

A crowd of roughly 250 people gathered at the local hospital awaiting news about loved ones.

Local high school sports star Philstavious Dowdell, one of the confirmed deaths, is the brother of the girl for whom the party was thrown.

Yet another mass shooting took place this week in Louisville, Ky.

Police say shots were fired into a crowd of hundreds of people gathered Saturday night in Chickasaw Park around 9 p.m. Two people were killed, and four others were wounded, one seriously.

FAKE NEWS-O-RAMA! The Communist News Network (CNN) referred to mass shootings as a “distinctly American phenomenon,” but actual evidence proves CNN is lying (again). The U.S. ranks #11 in mass shootings deaths per capita.

Again, police haven’t revealed any information regarding possible suspects.

This shooting takes place less than a week after a seemingly left-leaning gunman killed five people and wounded nine, including a police officer, in what is being called “workplace violence.”

Gun Violence Archive lists 163 mass shootings thus far this year. What you won’t see from the mainstream media — but you will read here because I post it as often as I can — there have also been at least 306 defensive shootings in the same time frame.

Thus far, the tragic shooting in Dadeville appears to not involve an “angry white man,” which the left is quick to blame for mass shootings, though as I’ve reported, this is not the norm.

We can expect the usual responses from the libs that guns, not criminals who use them to kill, are bad.

The left will call for the end of “gun violence” even as big, blue cities refuse to punish the people causing so much chaos.

It’s all a ruse to take your guns. Leftists will gladly sacrifice thousands of lives to disarm We the People.

California Church that Defied Mask Mandate Must Pay $1.2 Million in Fines

Calvary Chapel in San Jose, Calif., is a large evangelical church that defied state and local orders to mask up during services and maintain “social distancing.” Of course, we now know that mask-wearing was about as effective against spreading COVID-19 as wearing a necklace of newt entrails and “social distancing” was a bad joke.

But it’s not the science. It’s that the church defied authorities. So now Calvary must pay the state of California $1.2 million in fines because they got bureaucrats mad at them.

So there.

Is there anyone who doesn’t think $1.2 million for not wearing masks is fair? Is it even reasonable? Vindictiveness should not be a part of the American judicial system ever, and no rational, sane person can say that a $1.2 million fine for disobeying COVID-19 mitigation efforts that have now been found to be wildly ineffective is anything but judicial vengeance.

Calvary Chapel sued the county, arguing the health orders violated its religious freedom. Various courts have ruled either in favor the church or the county.

The church and its pastors were previously held in contempt of court and fined for violating limits on indoor public gatherings. But a state appellate court reversed those decisions last year, saying that the restrictions on indoor worship services were stricter than for secular activities such as going to grocery stores.

The county continued to seek fines for violations of mask-wearing regulations.

The judge wrote an opinion that was so 2020.

“It should appear clear to all — regardless of religious affiliation — that wearing a mask while worshiping one’s god and communing with other congregants is a simple, unobtrusive, giving way to protect others while still exercising your right to religious freedom,” Superior Court Judge Evette D. Pennypacker wrote in the April 7 ruling imposing the fines.

The judge was doin’ the time warp with County Counsel James Williams.

“The county’s response to the pandemic, including the health officer’s public health orders and enforcement against entities that refused to follow the law, saved thousands of lives and resulted in one of the lowest death rates of any community in the United States,” Williams said.

That there’s no evidence for that is immaterial. It sounds wonderful.

But this is all about obedience and Calvary refused to obey and encouraged others to disobey. The church, Judge Pennypacker wrote, flouted public health orders “and urged others to do so ‘who cares what the cost,’ including death.”

Take that, you devout Christians, you.

That bit about “who cares what the cost including death” is not applying any law — it’s a rhetorical flourish in a legal opinion that doesn’t belong. Pennypacker is way off the reservation by claiming that the Calvary church leaders didn’t care if people died. That’s a ludicrous statement and reveals the judge’s anger that her previous orders were not obeyed.

Anger has no place in a legal opinion.

This one will make its way through the courts and may even wind up at the Supreme Court. What’s certain is that these fines are meant to retaliate against a group of people who defied public health orders.
