Fox News faces an array of challenges after President Donald Trump leaves office: a potential ratings decline, Trump’s tweets attacking the network, and the threat that he could start a rival media outlet.
Yet Fox News has faced many obstacles during its 18 years as the No. 1 cable news network, and has managed to maintain its lead. It has weathered a sexual-harassment scandal, the death of founder Roger Ailes, the departure of stars Glenn Beck, Bill O’Reilly and Megyn Kelly, and the arrival of right-leaning rivals, Newsmax and One America News Network.
Few observers expect Trump’s barrage of attacks to knock Fox News off its throne anytime soon.
“They have the distribution, talent and resources to be successful no matter who is president,” said Christopher Balfe, chief executive officer of Red Seat Ventures, which helps build businesses for media personalities like former HLN star Nancy Grace.
Still, Fox News’s resilience could be put to the test like never before. Axios reported Thursday, citing unidentified sources, that Trump is planning a subscription-based streaming platform similar to Fox Nation, a $6-a-month service launched two years ago.
Meanwhile, Trump is stepping up his attacks against the network after an election loss that he has steadfastly rejected. Fox News, like nearly all major media, has declared Joe Biden the presidential winner.
On Thursday, Trump tweeted that Fox’s daytime ratings have “completely collapsed” because the network “forgot what made them successful, what got them there.” Fox News was the biggest difference between the 2016 and 2020 elections because the network forgot its “Golden Goose,” he said.
Trump also amplified a series of Twitter posts from users criticizing Fox News as insufficiently loyal to the president and urging conservatives to switch to competitors such as Newsmax.
Newsmax, which was founded by Trump ally Christopher Ruddy, has seen an uptick in viewers in recent days. It still hasn’t declared Biden the president-elect and has used that decision to curry favor with Trump supporters who are skeptical of the results and angry that Fox News made an early call for the Democrat in the key state of Arizona.
On Thursday, Ruddy tweeted that Trump called him and “congratulated Newsmax on our ratings explosion.” Trump is “watching Newsmax,” he said, “and also wants every vote counted!”
Negotiating Tool
Trump’s relationship with America’s most-watched news channel has waxed and waned over the years. He was a frequent Fox News guest long before he decided to run for president, and the network’s evening commentators have been ardent supporters of him throughout his time in office. With the ties fraying, Fox would be wise to patch things up quickly, said Jon Klein, a former president of CNN’s U.S. operations and current co-chairman of the streaming company Tapp Media LLC.
“Many Fox News viewers adore President Trump,” Klein said. “If Trump undertook a concerted ongoing anti-Fox News campaign, that would have a real impact on Fox’s numbers because those Trump loyalists will do as they’re told.”
Still, the real estate mogul behind a book called “The Art of the Deal” could be using his attacks against Fox as a bargaining tool, Klein said.
“Everything for him is about the negotiation,” Klein said. “Once the dust settles, I’m sure he will make the best deal he can, whether it’s starting his own company or getting paid a lot of money to appear on someone’s else air.”
Fox management remains upbeat that it can weather the latest turmoil. On an earnings call last week, CEO Lachlan Murdoch pointed out that the network has led the cable news industry through a number of administrations.
“We love competition,” Murdoch said. “We have always thrived with competition, and we have strong competition now.”
In response to Trump’s tweets on Thursday, Fox News said its daytime audience is up 62% -- averaging 2.7 million viewers for the seven days through Wednesday -- from the same period last year, citing Nielsen data. The network also was the most-watched on election night, with an audience of 14.1 million.
Other Options
If Trump wants to start his own media company, he could follow the path of former Fox News star Glenn Beck, relying on his large base of grassroots supporters to pay him monthly subscriptions.
But while Beck was able to attract tens of thousands of subscribers to TheBlaze, former Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin shut down her online TV channel only a year after its launch.
Trump could create a meaningful media business with his own streaming service -- which would be less of a major threat to Fox.
“I think a lot of people would sign up for a $5 or $6 a month subscription service to watch his show and support him,” Balfe said. “I don’t think it’s a Fox News channel competitor, but it could be a very successful streaming channel.”

Two reporters offered a preview of the media blackout of misdeeds we’ll get for four years if Democrat presidential candidate Joe Biden lands in the White House.
Yesterday in Philadelphia, when Kayleigh McEnany, President Trump’s spokeswoman, and Ronna McDaniel, chieftain of the Republican National Committee, offered proof of voter fraud in Michigan, the worthies of the Fourth Estate pretended they didn’t hear.
One reporter mentioned the dreaded “C” word — conspiracy — to dismiss and mischaracterize clear evidence of fraud. The two said they had more than 100 affidavits alleging vote fraud and almost 3,000 incident reports in Michigan alone.
Michigan went for Trump in 2016, and seemed to vote for him again. But then a surge of votes for Biden put the elderly candidate over the top — at least according to the leftist media.
Massive Vote Fraud After explaining that Democrats oppose voter ID and proof of citizenship to vote because they “welcome illegal voting,” McEnany tossed this grenade: In Wayne County Michigan, she said, “Republican poll watchers were denied their legal right to monitor the election and purposely kept in the dark, both literally and figuratively, poll watchers or election workers blocked windows and padlocked doors.”
There are thousands of reports of poll watchers being intimidated and unable to do their job and as of 4:00 p.m. this afternoon, 131 affidavits have been completed just in Michigan with over 2,800 incident reports that have been submitted to us since Election Day. Two new lawsuits were filed today by people who were working in Detroit and a whistleblower who has gotten their … We have gotten their information at the Eastern District Court of Michigan.
As you guys can understand with 2,800 incident reports, this is a lot to track down. It means we’re interviewing these people, we’re getting their statements and we’re turning them into affidavits, but that takes a lot of time and effort.
Then came McDaniel, who alleged that Biden’s on-site election goons intimidated GOP poll watchers with verbal abuse.
“We’ve heard hundreds of instances of election workers who were verbally accosted,” she said. “They verbally accosted our poll watchers and refused to let them challenge questionable ballots.”
That sounds like physical intimidation as well, something with which Trump supporters are familiar thanks to Antifa and Black Lives Matter.
Biden’s bouncers booted the GOP poll watchers off voting sites, she said:
Election workers were wearing Biden T-shirts and applauding when our poll watchers were kicked out. Imagine volunteering and going and spending your night because you care so much about the integrity of the election and then to be kicked out and to be cheered as you are leaving. This does not instill confidence in our democracy and these are good people. I know most of these people. Of the few ballots that Democrat election workers did allow us to challenge, our observers say those ballots were then moved back into the regular pile after our poll watchers were intimidated and pushed from the process.
The Fraud As for the fraud itself, McDaniel continued with two stories.
A city employee in Detroit saw election workers and other employees “coaching voters to vote for Joe Biden and the Democrat Party,” she said. “This employee witnessed these workers and employees encouraging voters to do straight Democrat ballot and witnessed these election workers and employees going over to the voting booths with voters in order to watch them vote and coach them who to vote for.”
The employee’s supervisors, McDaniel said, ordered her “never to ask for a driver’s license or any photo ID when a person was trying to vote.”
Then came the back-dating of ballots that had not landed in the voting system by the 9 p.m. deadline on November 3:
On November 4, 2020, a City of Detroit election worker was instructed to improperly pre-date the absentee ballots received that were not in the QBF. She was told to alter the information in the QBF to falsely show that the absentee ballots had been received in time to be valid. The election employee also observed a large number of people who came into the satellite location to vote in person but they had already applied for absentee ballots. These people were allowed to vote in person and were not required to return the mailed absentee ballot or sign an affidavit that the voter lost the mail ballot.
Nothing To See Here Backdating was also a problem in Pennsylvania, as The New American has reported, but reporters just don’t care. Ridding the world of Trump is too important a job to deal with distractions such as vote fraud.
“Do you have any evidence that you can show us today that shows that illegal votes were cast?” a reporter asked.
McDaniel had just offered the evidence.
“Well I just … I think I just went through that with you with somebody backdating ballots, that’s called illegal,” McDaniel explained.
And “how did the conspiracy against red counties and Republican voters with the GOP…” a reporter began.
“How is it a conspiracy when a whistleblower from the City of Detroit is saying I was told by my supervisors to lie and backdate ballots?” McDaniel replied. “This is somebody protected under the law. There’s no conspiracy there.”
At this writing, a Google search for “131 affidavits 2,800 reports” returns one result from a mainstream media source.

And this is among one of the most anti-democratic things I’ve ever seen or encountered. And it’s not just here in Philadelphia, this is going on all over the country. We have filed a lawsuit. The lawsuit actually required that when these mail in ballots, that you know are highly suspicious anyway, this form of balloting has always been considered the most prone to fraud.

Again, let me be specific what it is, this whole new thing that never happened before in our country, these mail-in ballots, which has been a cause of real concern for everyone because they can easily be fraudulent. Well, one of the things that the law attaches to that is the rights of both parties to observe the ballot. The way we do with absentee ballots. You make certain it’s properly signed on the outside, there’s a signature. You make sure that it’s properly postmarked. You make sure that it’s properly addressed, and then you pass on it. A number of these are often challenged by the Democrat representative or their Republican representative. We never got a chance to look at a single one of them.
Rudy Giuliani: (06:09) The gentlemen here who did this for us, says about 100,000 ballots went through that process in the 20 plus hours in which they wasted his time by not allowing him to see a single ballot. Well, that’s 120,000 ballots that should just be taken out of the count. So you want to look at that number, that 120,000 should come out. And this is an area in which Biden is getting 60, 70% of the vote. I don’t know if this is going on in any other place, but it is going on with enough frequency in Wisconsin that we’ve brought suit, and now we’ll have to look into three other places. What it says to me is this is a concerted effort of the crooks that run the Democratic party. And you know, these big city machines are crooked. You know that.

Voter fraud is one of the biggest, because that’s how you keep your power, but we’re not going to let them get away with it. They’re not going to steal this election. And he’s the whole reason for which he’s carrying on this campaign, so that your vote can mean something, so that your vote doesn’t get wiped out by 100,000 fraudulent, meaningless paper ballots that no one gets to observe. And we’re going to take a very good look at whether we bring this nationally. We certainly are going to bring it here, and in Wisconsin. During a press conference Monday, GOP Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel presented evidence of alleged voter fraud in Michigan that Republicans think could have tipped the scales for Joe Biden.
“In Wayne County, Republican poll watchers were denied their legal right to monitor the election and purposefully kept in the dark…there are thousands of reports of poll watchers being intimidated and unable to do their job and as of 4 p.m. this afternoon, 131 affidavits have been completed just in Michigan with over 2,800 incident reports that have been submitted to us since election day. Two new lawsuits were filed today by people who were working in Detroit and a whistleblower [came forward].”
McDaniel detailed the claims of many of the affidavits. “I hope you look at these affidavits,” she told the press. “And I hope you hear from the people who were there [in Detroit].” She also urged the media to care about the reports of voter fraud and intimidation instead of just ignoring or suppressing them as they have been doing and moving on with the news cycle as if their declaration of a win for Biden is the final word on the matter.
“So just after a week after the polls close, Democrats and the media want to ignore these irregularities,” McDaniel said. “Even one instance of voter fraud should be too many for all of us.”
Watching the news these days is a lot like watching a Monty Python skit because immediately after McDaniel gave her evidence and told the press where to find the affidavits, they demanded that she show “evidence” of the alleged fraud.
“Do you know that fraudulent votes were actually cast?” said one intrepid news person. Kayleigh McEnany responded, “Ronna just told you there were 131 affidavits filed in just Michigan alone. We are aware of the reports of thousands of votes cast in Nevada that were not eligible…right now we would point you to that. That information is publicly available.”
McDaniel jumped back in to add that the whistleblower in Michigan has sworn an affidavit alleging: being told by a supervisor to backdate ballots that came in after the legal deadline; witnessing poll workers encouraging voters to vote straight Democrat; and even poll workers going into the booths with voters. These allegations of illegal votes being counted must be examined through the legal process. The press conveniently continued to ignore the evidence presented to them and pretended McDaniel never said it. “Why aren’t you worried about these irregularities?” McDaniel asked over a member of the press heckling her with stupid questions.
“Do you have any evidence you can show us today that illegal ballots were cast?” a member of the press asked AGAIN. An exasperated McDaniel replied that backdating ballots is illegal and that would mean they were cast illegally. The press did not seem to grasp any of it. And I would bet cash money that none of the mainstream press investigates any of the affidavits or incident reports submitted to the court. Instead, they will continue to gaslight us, claiming that there is “no evidence.” This is the narrative they will go with on the evening news and half of America will never hear of the 131 affidavits taken under oath or the 2,800 incident reports of alleged voter fraud.

On November 17, 2016, a meeting that may turn out to have been one of the most pivotal in American history took place at Trump Tower in New York City. On that day, nine days after the tumultuous 2016 presidential election, Admiral Michael S. Rogers met secretly with President-elect Donald Trump. It was a meeting that set off Deep State alarms, and those alarm bells instantly started echoing throughout the controlled Deep State media empire.
Why the intense anxiety? As director of the National Security Agency (NSA), Admiral Rogers was then also chief of the Central Security Service (CSS) and commander of the United States Cyber Command (USCYBERCOM). He had previously served as the director for intelligence for both the Joint Chiefs of Staff and U.S. Pacific Command, as well as commander of the U.S. 10th Fleet and commander of the U.S. Fleet Cyber Command. In other words, he was the top dog in the world of signals intelligence (SIGINT) and held the keys to the kingdom of America’s powerful surveillance-state apparatus.

What was Admiral Rogers doing at Trump Tower? According to globalist Deep State media assets, such as the Washington Post, NPR, and the New York Times, he was ingratiating himself to Donald Trump, hoping to get a job in the new administration as director of national intelligence (DNI), a position then held by Obama appointee James Clapper. The admiral’s detractors claim that he was about to be fired by President Obama for NSA intelligence failures and for his “aloof” leadership style. But according to Rogers’ defenders, the admiral’s journey to New York was a daring mission to warn the incoming president about a treasonous coup plot involving top members of the Obama administration and key leaders in the other intelligence agencies. And the media efforts to denigrate Rogers’ reputation were aimed precisely at publicly undermining his credibility and the warning he was delivering.
The extraordinary events of the past four years support the position of Admiral Rogers’ advocates, not his attackers. We all have witnessed, in real time, an unprecedented and ongoing coup effort in which high-level officials within the Trump administration, together with members of Congress, former government officials, media organizations, major think tanks, tax-exempt foundations, labor unions, and militant street mobs have carried out a coordinated and relentless campaign of disruption, subversion, insurrection, sabotage, and “resistance” to cripple and topple President Donald J. Trump. During that time, a continuous stream of revelations — through leaks, whistleblowers, inspector general reports, court rulings, congressional investigations, and Department of Justice investigations — has provided crucial witness testimony and documentary evidence to connect many of the dots.
Some of these crucial disclosures have only come to light in the final weeks leading up to the November 2020 elections. It has taken that long — the entire (first) term of the Trump presidency — to pry loose the damning evidence of criminality and treachery behind, for instance, the infamous (and phony) “Steele dossier”; the illegal FISA court warrants obtained for Spygate; the sham “Trump-Russia collusion” charge; the vicious FBI/DOJ/Mueller railroading of General Michael Flynn, Carter Page, Roger Stone, and Paul Manafort; the real evidence of Hillary Clinton-Russia collusion; the FBI/DOJ/Mueller collusion with Hillary Clinton, Fusion GPS, and Crowdstrike — and much, much more.
The Empire Strikes Back
The Trump Tower rendezvous between the president-elect and the NSA chief, understandably, caused a panic attack among the Deep State coup plotters. Although the actual content of the conversation between Trump and Rogers has not been publicly revealed, all indications are that the admiral spilled some pretty big beans. On the same day of that meeting, having apparently been apprised by Rogers that they were being spied upon, the Trump Transition Team surprised everyone with the abrupt announcement that they were immediately moving all transition activity to Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, New Jersey. Trump then had a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility, or SCIF, constructed at Trump Tower to prevent hostile surveillance — from enemies both foreign and domestic. On November 19, 2016, two days after that historic Trump-Rogers meeting, the attacks on Admiral Rogers began. Naturally, the Deep State conspirators chose the Washington Post, their longtime favorite disinformation spigot, to lead the smear campaign. The Post article, entitled “Pentagon and intelligence community chiefs have urged Obama to remove the head of the NSA,” stated, “The heads of the Pentagon and the nation’s intelligence community have recommended to President Obama that the director of the National Security Agency, Adm. Michael S. Rogers, be removed.”
“The recommendation, delivered to the White House last month,” the story continued, “was made by Defense Secretary Ashton B. Carter and Director of National Intelligence James R. Clapper Jr., according to several U.S. officials familiar with the matter.” Typical of media hatchet jobs, the article was replete with alleged negative statements and allegations by anonymous “senior officials.”
Although it is dangerous to believe anything carried in that lie factory, it turns out the Post was correct in stating that top Department of Defense and intelligence community officials were urging President Obama to fire Admiral Rogers even before his trip to Trump Tower. Why? Well, as we subsequently learned, Rogers had been throwing sand into the gears of the coup plotters for the past year, challenging and thwarting their illegal activities. It appears that for months prior to the Trump Tower meeting, Rogers had been playing a cat-and-mouse game with the Obama administration and its lackeys in the “Intelligence Community.” Defense Secretary Ashton “Ash” Carter, who is also a director of the globalist-minded Council on Foreign Relations (CFR), along with Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, took the lead in calling for his ouster. However, apparently it was Department of Justice National Security Division (DOJ-NSD) head John P. Carlin who had been assigned the job of deep-sixing the troublesome admiral.
Jeff Carlson, who writes for the Epoch Times and has posted some of the most detailed and perceptive articles on the coup intrigue, wrote that “Carlin was setting up Rogers as the scapegoat” for the very crimes Rogers was trying to stop and expose. Rogers had gone to the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court (FISC) to report violations of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) by the Obama administration and members of the intelligence community. Section 702 of FISA is aimed at protecting Americans against warrantless search and seizure. Under Section 702, the NSA “may not intentionally target any person known at the time of acquisition to be located in the United States.” Among additional prohibitions, it “may not intentionally target a U.S. person reasonably believed to be located outside the United States.”
Carlin was the official at DOJ responsible for ensuring that the administration abided by FISA restrictions, prohibitions, and procedures. However, he had covered for the Obama administration’s routine violation of those restrictions, prohibitions, and procedures. Admiral Rogers became aware of the serious nature and extent of FISA violations and ordered the NSA’s Office of Compliance to “do a fundamental baseline review of compliance associated with 702.” Among the findings of the review was that the FBI, which had access to NSA intercepts, was illegally sharing this FISA data on individuals with private contractors. This criminal use of private contractors was one of a number of violations condemned by FISC presiding Judge Rosemary Collyer in her stinging rebuke of the FBI in her April 26, 2017 ruling. This FBI abuse apparently had been brought to her attention by Admiral Rogers, who had already shut down all FBI contractor access a year before, in April 2016. Although Judge Collyer’s ruling redacts the names of the contractors, various analysts have reasonably suggested from clues in the text, timelines, and related data that at least some of the contractors cited are very likely entities associated with Hillary Clinton’s campaign, such as Fusion GPS and Crowdstrike.
Additionally, the NSA compliance review found numerous “About Query” violations. “Rogers shut down all ‘about query’ activity on Oct. 21, 2016,” reported Jeff Carlson in the Epoch Times on December 20, 2019. “‘About queries’ are particularly worrisome,” Carlson noted, “since they occur when the target is neither the sender nor the recipient of the collected communication; rather, the target’s ‘query,’ such as an email address, is being passed between two other communicants.”
Admiral Rogers and the FISA court also dinged the FBI and DOJ for failure to comply with Standard Minimization Procedures. The website of the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) describes “minimization” as “a detailed set of procedures designed to minimize the acquisition, retention, use, and dissemination of U.S. person information acquired under Section 702.”
Subsequent revelations highlighted another egregious intelligence abuse, the illegal “unmasking” of individuals in NSA data by Obama officials. And as Representative Devin Nunes (R-Calif.), then chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, has said, these violations had “nothing to do” with Russia or national security matters. They were all about weaponizing and politicizing the intelligence functions.
Representative Nunes was one of many who came to Admiral Rogers’ defense when he was attacked by Carter, Clapper, and the Washington Post. Nunes’ defense of Rogers, as well as his pit-bull tenacity in exposing the criminal deeds of the coup plotters, soon earned him even more vicious attacks in the Deep State-aligned press than had been dished out to the NSA chief.

Taking Out His Teammates
For much the same reasons that they wanted to get rid of Admiral Rogers, the Deep State’s globalist elites wanted to make sure that General Michael Flynn would not survive as President Trump’s national security advisor. General Flynn had been director of the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) under President Obama. However, he had been forced out, into early retirement, in 2014 by Clapper and Obama. He shares many of the traits of Admiral Rogers that make the insiders of the Obama-Biden-Clinton-Pelosi circles of power (and those above them) very nervous. He knows too much and can’t be depended on to go along with their subversion of the Constitution and the rule of law. Thus, he was forced to resign, by a campaign of lies and innuendo, on February 13, 2017, only 24 days after having been sworn in.
However, General Flynn’s long ordeal was just beginning. The coup plotters were determined to make an example of him, to crush him, to send him to prison. They very nearly succeeded. Four years later, the general’s tribulation is still not over. The Department of Justice under Attorney General William Barr filed a motion on May 7, 2020 to dismiss with prejudice the charges against Flynn. The DOJ motion noted that Flynn’s questioning “was untethered to, and unjustified by, the FBI’s counterintelligence investigation.” However, federal district judge Emmet G. Sullivan has refused to dismiss the case and continues to fight the dismissal with extraordinary measures.
The pretext for the vendetta against General Flynn is the charge that he lied about the content and nature of his communications with Russian ambassador to the United States Sergey Kislyak. This was all part and parcel of the hoax aimed at convincing the American public that Donald Trump and other members of his team were colluding with and/or were compromised by Russia and Vladimir Putin. The congressional investigations found no evidence to substantiate these charges. Neither did the much-ballyhooed two-year “Russia probe” by Office of Special Counsel (OSC) Robert Mueller. Nor did any of the media sleuths who had been trumpeting the “Russia, Russia, Russia” theme for four years.
Many stakes have been driven into the heart of the “Russia collusion” corpse, but the latest one delivered by FBI agent William Barnett this past September may finally do the job. Barnett, who was the FBI’s lead agent on the Flynn case, has described the investigation and prosecution of Flynn as an operation to “get Trump.” Barnett says he and other FBI and CIA investigators and analysts recognized early on that the probe was an “exercise in futility” and that the prosecutors were “groping” to find a crime. According to Barnett, top Mueller team prosecutors such as Jeannie Rhee and Andrew Weissmann were “obsessed” with finding a Trump-Russia connection and used overly aggressive tactics to obtain what they wanted. He says he had to intervene multiple times during interviews with Flynn and others due to misleading questions by Mueller team members.
FBI Director James Comey, Special Counsel Robert Mueller (a former FBI director), and Deputy Attorney General Sally Yates had stacked the FBI/DOJ/OSC investigations with virulently partisan, anti-Trump staffers, as the notorious e-mail and text messages of FBI Agent Peter Strzok and FBI lawyer Lisa Page show.
Real Collusion: Russia-Hillary
On October 3, 2020, Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe declassified notes of former CIA Director John Brennan. It was an explosive revelation, but (surprise!) none of the “mainstream” media seemed to show the slightest interest. What did the notes reveal? They showed that Brennan had briefed former President Obama on July 26, 2016 concerning Hillary Clinton’s alleged “plan” to smear then-candidate Donald Trump by tying him to Russia as “a means of distracting the public from her use of a private email server.”
Brennan’s handwritten notes state:
We’re getting additional insight into Russian activities from [REDACTED]. . . CITE [summarizing] alleged approved by Hillary Clinton a proposal from one of her foreign policy advisers to vilify Donald Trump by stirring up a scandal claiming interference by the Russian security service.
On July 31, 2016, five days after Brennan’s briefing of Obama on the Clinton scheme, Comey’s FBI opened its bogus “investigation” of the Trump campaign and its alleged ties to Russia.
Consider the enormity of this: The Steele dossier, as it has now been incontestably shown, was put together by British ex-spy Christopher Steele, with the assistance of Russian intelligence. It was then used by not only Hillary Clinton but also her co-conspirators Barack Obama, James Comey, James Clapper, Nancy Pelosi, Representative Adam Schiff, the Washington Post, the New York Times, CNN, CBS, and all the rest of the Deep State cabal to vilify Trump, precisely as directed in the Clinton scheme outlined in Brennan’s briefing to President Obama. So, it is Hillary Clinton who is the Russian colluder.
Then Clinton and her campaign lawyer Marc Elias repeatedly lied and denied any connection to the obscene “pee dossier” — until documentary evidence forced them to admit that they had financed it. Then Hillary switched her tune and even defended funding the dossier. It was just legit “opposition research,” she told ABC News.
Audacious it certainly was, especially since the Clinton-Russia ties go far deeper than her collusion with Russian intelligence to produce the aforementioned “Steele dossier.” It was/is Hillary Clinton (and her husband, Bill, and daughter, Chelsea, and their Clinton Foundation), not Donald Trump, that has all the ties to Putin and Russia. As we have reported in The New American many times over the years, Hillary Clinton had notoriously concluded a number of deals with Putin’s regime that materially aided Russia’s military-industrial-techological advancement, while simultaneously striking serious blows to America’s national security. Along these lines we could mention, for example, the Uranium One deal that gave Russia a controlling interest in our American uranium production, and the technology transfers that have helped build Skolkovo, Russia’s hi-tech Silicon Valley.
Of course, that was already known by the Deep Staters who were, nevertheless, pushing the Trump-Russia theme with a vengeance.
Those Spreading the Lies
Thus far in this article, we have focused primarily on the Deep State’s coup efforts through the operations of its captive intelligence agencies. This is not to suggest that all or even most of the men and women who serve in the FBI, CIA, DIA, and other intelligence-community agencies are parties to this treachery. Indeed, it is due to leaks and testimony from many brave and patriotic employees who have risked their careers, reputations, pensions — and even their lives — to expose the crimes and treason of the political hacks who are their bosses, that we know about the fraud and lies.
The intelligence community wields enormous power, but it is only one facet of the larger Deep State cabal that has been attacking the Trump administration — and America — from every angle and on every level.

Working closely in tandem with the Deep State intelligence community is the controlled establishment media, whose indispensable role we have highlighted in an article on page 16. Together with the Big Tech social-media giants and search engines — Facebook, Twitter, Google, YouTube, Reddit, Yahoo, Microsoft, Bing, etc. — they are transforming American society ever more rapidly to resemble the totalitarian system of Communist China. Not only are they dispensing statist prop-aganda that more and more mimics the Chinese Communist Party line, but in true Orwellian fashion they are blatantly punishing “thought crime” with censorship, demonetization, deplatforming, bullying, doxing, and label-lynching.
Deep State operatives within the intelligence community and throughout the federal bureaucracy also collude with the anti-Trump/anti-American media to produce a steady deluge of strategically timed leaks, many of which involve classified material, and all of which are calculated to disrupt and cripple the operations of government. Like the Antifa street thugs, they may as well adopt the revolutionary slogan, “Make America Ungovernable!”
Speaking of Antifa, we should mention here the important role they and their comrades in Black Lives Matter are playing in the orchestrated coup effort. Their job is to provide pressure from below while Deep State operatives in government and the media provide pressure from above. The BLM/Antifa rioters would have amounted to nothing except for: 1) the massive funding they have received from George Soros and other globalists; 2) the massive media promotion and propaganda they have enjoyed; 3) the enormous boost they have received from radical politicians and particularly from mayors and prosecutors (many of whom are Soros-funded) who refuse to prosecute the rioters; and 4) the crucial leadership of hard-core Marxist-Leninists of the Revolutionary Communist Party, the Freedom Road Socialist Organization, and other revolutionary groups. But, naturally, these things are never mentioned by the controlled media, which would have us believe the lie that the BLM/Antifa mobs are authentic, grassroots organizations.
Still another important element of the ongoing coup effort is the campaign to expand and empower the United Nations and all of its programs. President Trump not only has initiated action to withdraw the United States from the disastrous UN Climate Accord, but also has terminated U.S. membership in UNESCO, WHO, and the UN Arms Trade Treaty, which is a thinly disguised attack on the Second Amendment. Obviously, these and other Trumpian attacks on the globalists’ New World Order could not be allowed to stand. Then we saw the convenient unleashing of the COVID-19 “pandemic” upon the world by Communist China to wreck the rebounding U.S. economy, while pro-Beijing globalists such as Bill Gates, George Soros, and their confreres at the Council on Foreign Relations and World Economic Forum have cheered the moves by Western governments to adopt Chinese-style totalitarianism and “global health governance.”
As we go to press (on November 5) the official results of the election are still up in the air, though it is obvious that operatives of the Deep State have been active at all levels, and using all illegal means at their disposal, to steal votes from President Trump and throw the count to Joe Biden. As the decision over who won the White House gets thrown to the courts, we can expect that the BLM/Antifa mobs will also be unleashed into the streets. There also are crucial U.S. Senate and House races that remain unresolved. The outcomes of these races will hugely impact our nation, not the least of matters being whether or not we will see a packing of the Supreme Court, as many leading Democrats are calling for. In the critical weeks before Election Day, Big Tech and the legacy media took extreme measures to bury the unfolding story of Democratic nominee Joe Biden’s personal ties to his son Hunter’s notorious business deals in China, Ukraine, and elsewhere. Facebook and Twitter suppressed a New York Post story even before a fact-check, and legacy media outlets refused to cover the story even as evidence mounted. According to a blockbuster new poll, this unprecedented suppression of a bombshell story arguably cost President Donald Trump his reelection.
A Media Research Center (MRC) poll conducted by McLaughlin & Associates found that 36 percent of Biden voters were not aware of the evidence behind claims that Joe Biden was personally involved in his son Hunter’s business deals with China. Thirteen percent of those voters (4.6 percent of Biden’s total vote) said that if they had known the facts, they would not have voted for Biden.
Such a shift away from Biden would have given Trump the election, according to MRC’s analysis of the preliminary — and contested — election results predicting a Biden win. Had the Biden-China story seen the light of day, Trump would have won the election with 289 electoral votes.
“It is an indisputable fact that the media stole the election,” MRC President Brent Bozell argued. “The American electorate was intentionally kept in the dark. During the height of the scandal surrounding Hunter Biden’s foreign dealings, the media and the big tech companies did everything in their power to cover it up.”
Bozell noted that Twitter and Facebook limited sharing of The New York Post‘s bombshell report, while legacy media outlets largely ignored it. After the Post story failed to get the kind of traction many expected it would, Hunter Biden’s former business partner, Tony Bobulinski, came forward with firsthand knowledge — and evidence — tying Joe Biden to the notorious deals.
Democrats, former intelligence officials, and even the Biden campaign claimed — without evidence — that the story was “Russian disinformation.” Not only did numerous sources debunk that claim, but Vladimir Putin himself came out to vouch for Hunter Biden.
Even so, many media outlets refused to cover the story in the lead-up to the election.
“Now we know the impact of that cover-up,” Bozell argued. He noted that “4.6% of Biden voters say they would not have voted for him had they been aware of evidence of this scandal. This story would have potentially changed the outcome of this election. The media and Silicon Valley were fully aware of this, so they actively tried to prevent it from reaching the American public. The American people deserved to know the truth; now it’s too late.”
“At the time you cast your vote for President, were you aware that evidence exists in emails, texts, eyewitness testimony and banking transactions that the FBI has been investigating since last year directly linking Joe Biden to a corrupt financial arrangement between a Chinese company with connections to the Chinese communist party and Hunter Biden’s business, which may have personally benefitted Joe Biden financially?” the survey asked.
Perhaps surprisingly, 73 percent of respondents said they had heard about the allegations, while only 27 percent said they had not heard of them — a rather impressive showing for conservative media breaking through the Big Tech and legacy media efforts to bury the story. Yet 36 percent of Biden voters said they had not heard of the allegations.
MRC and McLaughlin asked that subset of Biden voters, “If you had been aware of this actual evidence in emails, texts, testimony and banking transactions being investigated by the FBI, would you have…” still voted for Biden?
Not surprisingly, most of the Biden voters said they would still have voted for Biden (86.9 percent) if they had known about the story. Yet a handful (5.6 percent) said they would have voted for a third-party candidate, while some said they would have not voted for any presidential candidate (4.7 percent), not voted at all (1.7 percent), or even voted for Donald Trump (1.1 percent).
In other words, 13.1 percent of the voters who did not know about the scandal (4.6 percent of Biden’s overall vote) said they would not have voted for Biden if they had known about the allegations.
It is impossible to know whether or not this survey accurately represents Biden voters, much less whether or not the knowledge of the corruption scandal would have had the same impact in each state, including swing states.
However, MRC applied this 4.6 percent drop in Biden votes to the most closely-contested states and concluded that a knowledge of the Biden-China corruption scandal among Biden voters alone would have turned Arizona, Georgia, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin red, giving Trump a 289-vote margin in the Electoral College and handing him the presidency.

While Trump is currently contesting the reported preliminary results of the election, it is unlikely that he will be able to switch enough margins in enough states to pull ahead of Joe Biden, to whom most media outlets already refer as the “president-elect.”
It is quite plausible that the Big Tech and legacy media efforts to suppress the Biden-China scandal may cost Trump the election. This is utterly unconscionable, considering the legacy media’s rush to publish any salacious Trump-Russia rumor for years, even when those rumors turned out to be unverified and untrue.

Propaganda and Censorship: The Antitheses of Freedom
Freedom is a prerequisite to having a fully realized human experience. The primary driver of our work at AFLDS is to help preserve our inalienable human right to freedom by empowering people with truth.
The most effective way to steal people's freedom is to systematically instill fear. The most unobtrusive way to instill fear is via propaganda and censorship. Throughout 2020 we have watched as fear was deployed through omnipresent propaganda and rampant censorship, and then harnessed to serve a political agenda.
Modern American society is not the first to fall prey to propaganda. As Joseph Goebbels and Adolph Hitler said, “If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it.” Winston Churchill observed that, “A lie gets halfway around the world before the truth has a chance to get its pants on.” (And that was before the internet.) Every person must learn how to differentiate truth from fiction. In 2020 the disinformation and censorship has been most obvious in the scientific arena. A successful disinformation campaign convinced both ordinary people and physicians to believe that a decades-old safe medication derived from quinine found in tree barks, used billions of times around the world, is dangerous. Here are the facts as of November 11, 2020: -There is no “winner" yet, not because it is unknown, but because it is thus far, unknowable. -The winner is unknowable until the Courts determine the amount of election fraud. -The Courts have received a vast amount of hard evidence, data, and affidavits attesting to election fraud. -Media declarations of a “winner” are wholly irrelevant. -Media declaring a “winner” causes citizens to lose faith in the process and hardens unjustified entitlements. -Bush vs. Gore required 37 days of excruciating transparency, with all media and bipartisan observers witnessing and video memorializing every moment of the process. -The media insisted on referring to Gore as President-Elect Gore. Right up until he conceded.
President Ronald Reagan taught: “Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didn't pass it to our children in the bloodstream. It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same, or one day we will spend our sunset years telling our children and our children's children what it was once like in the United States where men were free.”

And yet due to the massive disinformation campaign, people continue to be afraid, continue to believe there is no early treatment, and continue to believe masks prevent the transmission of a virus 1/1000 the size of a hair (0.1 micron.)

The Daily Caller News Foundation reports that a cybersecurity expert has authenticated the email that implicates then-Vice President Joe Biden in his son’s shady business dealings in Ukraine.
Rudy Giuliani, a former New York mayor and former federal prosecutor, gave the DCNF a copy of the contents of Hunter Biden’s laptop. The news website then gave the founder of Errata Security, Robert Graham, a copy of the so-called “smoking gun” email and all the metadata associated with it. Errata is the same company used by The Washington Post, Wired, and other publications.
The April 17, 2015, email between Hunter Biden and an advisor to Burisma, Vadym Pozharskiy, verified that Joe Biden had personal knowledge of his son’s business dealings with the Burisma advisor. This contradicted Biden’s protestations on the campaign trail. At the time, the then-vice president was Obama’s “point man” on Ukraine. The email thanked Hunter Biden for the personal meeting with his dad and getting to spend “some time together.”
“Dear Hunter, thank you for inviting me to DC and giving an opportunity to meet your father and spent some time together. It’s really an honor and pleasure.”
Pozharskiy ended the email by asking to get together for coffee.
Burisma is the energy company that hired the younger Biden to be a member of the board of directors, where he earned a reported $50,000 to $83,000 a month for what appears to have been a no-show job. Graham says that his examination of the document shows that it was an authentic email between the two.
Graham previously told the DCNF that [an email] sent from Gmail, such as Pozharski’s message to Hunter Biden, can be “absolutely verified beyond a shadow of a doubt” by testing its contents against the unique DKIM signature found in its metadata.
Graham used the DKIM signature within the email to verify with a private key on Google’s servers that the sender, recipient, subject, date and body of the message that the DCNF obtained from Giuliani were unchanged from when the email was originally sent in April 2015.
Graham said the only way the email could have been faked is if someone hacked into Google’s servers, found the private key and used it to reverse engineer the email’s DKIM signature.
The DCNF asked Graham to verify the authenticity of the email because of the news media’s and social media sites’ refusal to report on the story of Biden the Elder’s alleged slippery dealings while he was the vice president. The New York Post, which broke the story, has been blocked or muted on social media accounts.
Twitter, which allowed dissemination of the Russian/Hillary Clinton fake Steele dossier and other anti-Trump stories, claims unconvincingly that the unclear provenance of the documents was why it was blocking the story on its platform. This authentication should put to rest Twitter chief Jack Dorsey’s concerns. It’s certainly more authentication than the fake Steele dossier ever got from the American media.
The Biden family has not disputed that the laptop is Hunter Biden’s.
According to Tony Bobulinski, another business associate of Hunter Biden’s, Joe Biden was always included in the payoff for the business deals as long as there was “plausible deniability.” His dealings with the Biden family occurred in 2017 when Joe Biden had left public service and was considering a run for the presidency.
Rudy Giuliani says that in exploiting the information on the legally obtained laptop, that he’s spotted evidence of several federal crimes, including money laundering and racketeering. He cites himself as an expert on the statute since he was among the first to use the RICO statutes on the mob. On Thursday, the DOJ announced it had an open money-laundering investigation into Hunter Biden.

On Wednesday, Fox News host Tucker Carlson condemned the legacy media for attempting to bury the bombshell story of Tony Bobulinski, Hunter Biden’s former business partner who has testified that Democratic nominee Joe Biden was involved in his family’s influence-peddling operations in China, Ukraine, and elsewhere. More and more sources have confirmed parts of Bobulinski’s story — most recently a Senate committee — but many media outlets have refused to cover it.
“Bobulinski told a remarkable story. Joe Biden — who once again could be [elected] president of the United States next week — was planning business deals with America’s most formidable global opponent. And when he was caught doing it, Joe Biden lied. And then he went further, they slandered an innocent man as a traitor to his own country,” Carlson explained.
He lamented that “no one in America’s vast media landscape has pressed Joe Biden” for his excuse to smear Bobulinski. “Instead, reporters at all levels, and their editors, and their publishers, have openly collaborated with Joe Biden’s political campaign. That is unprecedented. It has never happened in American history.”
“This morning, the big papers completely ignored what Tony Bobulinski had to say, so did the other television networks. Not a single word about Bobulinski appeared on CNN or anywhere else. Newsweek decided to cover it but came to the conclusion that the real story was about Qanon, somehow,” Tucker added.
“This is Soviet-style suppression of information of a legitimate news story days before an election. The ramifications of it are impossible to imagine,” the Fox News host declared. “You should be offended by this not because the media are liberal but because this is an attack on our democracy. You’ve heard that phrase again and again. This is what it actually looks like. In a self-governing country, voters have a right to know, and obligation to know, who they’re voting for.”
“In this case, they have the right to know that the Democratic nominee for president was a willing partner in his family’s lucrative influence-peddling operation. An operation that went on for decades and stretched from China and Ukraine, all the way to Oman, Romania, Luxembourg, and many other countries,” Carlson added. “This is not speculation, once again, and it is not a partisan attack. It’s true and Tony Bobulinski confirmed it.”
Indeed, a spokesperson for Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wisc.) told the Daily Caller that all the material Bobulinski provided that the committee had reviewed so far has turned out to be legitimate. The committee did not come across any “signs” or evidence to suggest the content is false.
This confirmation adds to a growing list of evidence suggesting that the bombshells revealed in Hunter Biden’s emails and Bobulinski’s testimony are true. While the Biden campaign, Democrats, and legacy media outlets have insisted that the bombshells are Russian disinformation, Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe, the FBI, and the DOJ rebutted that claim. Vladimir Putin himself came out in defense of Biden’s business deals.
Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) claimed his staff had verified the Hunter Biden emails. Team Biden has not claimed that the documents were forged. Perhaps most importantly, Bobulinski has risked his reputation to come forward, presenting reams of evidence to back up his story.
The former Biden business partner spoke with Tucker Carlson on Tuesday, recounting the sordid details of his business with the Bidens.
Evidence showed that Hunter Biden introduced Bobulinksi to Joe Biden in Los Angeles in May 2017 with these words, “Dad, here’s the individual I told you about that’s helping us with the business that we’re working on and the Chinese.”
Bobulinski presented text messages in which Hunter Biden said his “Chairman” — whom Bobulinski claimed was Joe Biden — vetoed a plan for stricter governance on their company doing business with the Chinese.
He also discussed a May 13, 2017 email showing that 10 percent of the company’s equity would go to Joe Biden.
Carlson later revealed that some of the documents detailing the corruption had gone missing, but the Bobulinski interview and the documents the former Biden business partner provided have not been lost.
“Millions of dollars linked to the Communist Party of China went to Joe Biden’s family, not because they’re capable businessmen, they’re certainly not,” Tucker Carlson explained. “They were cut in on the world’s most lucrative business deals… for one reason. Because Joe Biden was a powerful government official willing to leverage his power on behalf of his family.”
“Now, if that’s not a crime, it’s very close to a crime. And it’s certainly something every person voting should know about,” the Fox News host insisted.
Indeed, the scandal is quite damning. Hunter Biden’s business deals in China arguably undercut America’s interests in military technology, nuclear technology, and rare earth minerals. His deals helped the Chinese in their oppression of the Muslim Uyghur minority.
Yet when the story first broke, Facebook and Twitter took unprecedented actions to suppress The New York Post bombshell. Twitter briefly suspended the accounts of the Trump campaign, the White House press secretary, and a congressional committee. Facebook, meanwhile, moved to suppress the Post article’s reach even before an independent fact check could be performed.
Media outlets also rushed to suppress the story. National Public Radio boasted about its decision not to cover the Hunter Biden emails. CBS News’s Leslie Stahl even denied that Biden was facing a scandal at all. CNN’s Jake Tapper described the story as “just nonsense, crap, tied into Qanon, tied into Pizzagate, tied into the worst things you could say about a person — with no evidence, just completely made up.” Journalists started attacking other journalists for daring to post The New York Post story on Twitter.
As more and more of the truth comes out, the corruption becomes ever more damning not just for Joe Biden’s campaign but for the legacy media who rushed to cover it up.

The giants of social media from Twitter, Google/YouTube, and Facebook were hauled in front of the Senate Commerce, Science and Transportation Committee on Wednesday to answer questions about the censorship of the New York Post article about Hunter Biden’s “laptop from Hell.”
Facebook and Twitter were caught limiting the reach of the article, which prompted a Senate inquiry. Ted Cruz came out swinging, calling Twitter “the biggest threat to free and fair elections” facing America today. He also set Jack Dorsey’s overlong beard on fire with this blistering observation about the power of Twitter to police speech in America.
“Mr. Dorsey, who the hell elected you and put you in charge of what the media are allowed to report and what the American people are allowed to hear, and why do you persist in behaving as a Democratic super PAC, silencing the views to the contrary of your political beliefs?” Cruz asked in one of the more heated exchanges of the hearing.
“The New York Post was founded by Alexander Hamilton,” said Cruz. “And your position is that you can sit in Silicon Valley and demand that the media— that you can tell them what stories they can publish and you can tell the American public what stories they can hear, is that right?”
Dorsey denied it all and claimed he didn’t do what we all saw him do. The New York Post is still blocked from posting on Twitter because they refuse to delete the original tweet that got them in trouble in the first place. But why should they delete it? Dorsey admits that blocking it was a mistake. We need more answers.
“Jack Dorsey of Twitter just told Senator Cruz that anyone could now share the NY Post’s bombshell stories on Twitter. Dorsey is lying,” tweeted Abigail Marone, a rapid response official on President Trump’s re-election campaign, linking to a screen recording of the app blocking the post.
“Twitter is STILL blocking the URL for the NY Post story about the Biden’s foreign corruption & China dealings,” Marone wrote in a tweet shared by White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany on her personal account.
Users were not able to share a link to the article on the proposed China business deal up until just hours ago, which last week was corroborated by former Hunter Biden business partner Tony Bobulinski.
“Something went wrong, but don’t fret — let’s give it another shot,” an error message informed Twitter users.
Twitter said of the article: “We can’t complete this request because this link has been identified by Twitter or our partners as being potentially harmful. Visit our Help Center to learn more.”
Sen. Cruz also fact-checked Dorsey, noting that it’s a felony to lie under oath to the Senate:
Will Dorsey be held to account for lying under oath like General Flynn and Roger Stone were? I’m not optimistic.
Dorsey’s repeated claims that he is not interested in anyone’s political leanings fall on skeptical ears. We still remember that Dorsey gave ten million dollars to race-baiting “research” that supports and bolsters the Marxist BLM organization’s goals. We know which side he’s on. Pretending that this guy can be the emperor of everyone’s speech in America is a joke.
America works best when we are all allowed free expression of ideas, no matter how abhorrent. There will always be rational voices to drown out the absurd or extreme. E-mails found on a computer and published in the New York Post reveal that Hunter Biden stood to rake in tens of millions of dollars from Chinese Reds, while a text he wrote revealed that his father, Democrat presidential candidate Joe Biden, grabbed half the money family members earned.
The files are part of a document load the newspaper began publishing on Tuesday that supports previous reporting that has exposed the obvious. The Biden family has earned millions on Joe Biden’s name and political power since he entered public life a half-century ago. But now, we learn, Biden cashed in, too.
In a video at his website, Trump adviser Rudy Giuliani calls the brood the “Biden Crime Family.” He likened them to one of the Italian mafia families he brought down when he was a federal prosecutor.
In that case, the presidential candidate would be the Godfather. Hunter Biden, Giuliani said, kicks up to the father. In the argot of the mob, the old man “wets his beak.”
Tens of Millions The e-mails that reveal Hunter Biden’s connection with China’s megawealthy oligarchs say he would be paid a whopping $30 million to provide “introductions.” And that didn’t likely mean “introductions” to his drug dealer.
In an e-mail from August 2017, the Post reported on Wednesday, Hunter Biden explained how much he’ll pull in from the “since-vanished” chieftain of Chinese energy company CEFC, Ye Jianming. Ye, the Post reported, was connected to China’s military and spy agencies.
“Biden wrote that Ye had sweetened the terms of an earlier, three-year consulting contract with CEFC that was to pay him $10 million annually” for three years. Not bad for a dope addict kicked out of the Navy.
“My Understanding is that the original agreement with the Director was for consulting fees based on introductions alone a rate of $10M per year for a three year guarantee total of $30M,” Biden wrote:
The chairman changed that deal after we me[t] in MIAMI TO A MUCH MORE LASTING AND LUCRATIVE ARRANGEMENT to create a holding company 50% percent owned by ME and 50% owned by him. Consulting fees is one piece of our income stream but the reason this proposal by the chairman was so much more interesting to me and my family is that we would also be partners inn the equity and profits of the JV’s investments. Hence I assumed the reason for our discussion today in which you made clear that the Chaireman would first get his investment capital returned in the profits would then be split 50/50. If you saying that is not the case then please return us to the original deal 10M per year a guaranteed 3 years plus bonus payments for any successful deal we introduce. let’s discuss thank you
An earlier e-mail discusses payments to Biden and his cronies that will include “10 held by H for the big guy?”
But again, the “big guy” is a mystery man.
Kicking Up to ‘Pop’ The text, revealed in a video and at Giuliani’s website, states that half of Hunter Biden’s earnings from his lucrative if undeserved business deals go straight back to his old man.
That’s how crime families work.
Biden even called his old man “Pop,” which is what Don Corleone’s sons called him.
“I love all of you,” he texted to his sister:
But I don’t receive any respect and thats fine I guess -work for you apparently. I Hope you all can do what I did and pay for everything for this entire family Fro 30 years. It’s really hard. But don’t worry unlike Pop I won’t make you give me half your salary.
The text is hardly a surprise. Nor is the claim that Biden’s family has enriched itself because of its powerful if daft patriarch.
Last year, Politico published a long investigation of what it called “Biden, Inc.” The story opened with a tale of outright influence peddling and corruption:
The day the Bidens took over Paradigm Global Advisors was a memorable one.
In the late summer of 2006 Joe Biden’s son Hunter and Joe’s younger brother, James, purchased the firm. On their first day on the job, they showed up with Joe’s other son, Beau, and two large men and ordered the hedge fund’s chief of compliance to fire its president, according to a Paradigm executive who was present.
After the firing, the two large men escorted the fund’s president out of the firm’s midtown Manhattan office, and James Biden laid out his vision for the fund’s future. “Don’t worry about investors,” he said, according to the executive, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, citing fear of retaliation. “We’ve got people all around the world who want to invest in Joe Biden.”
At the time, the senator was just months away from both assuming the chairmanship of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and launching his second presidential bid. According to the executive, James Biden made it clear he viewed the fund as a way to take money from rich foreigners who could not legally give money to his older brother or his campaign account. “We’ve got investors lined up in a line of 747s filled with cash ready to invest in this company,” the executive remembers James Biden saying.
At this, the executive recalled, Beau Biden, who was then running for attorney general of Delaware, turned bright red. He told his uncle, “This can never leave this room, and if you ever say it again, I will have nothing to do with this.”
A spokesman for James and Hunter Biden said no such episode ever occurred. Beau Biden died in 2015, at 46.
Politico published a detailed chart that tracks the rise of the Biden Crime Family’s fortunes.
Giuliani’s video also explained the riches James Biden, Joe’s brother, earned in the construction business in Iraq.
As Politico summarized it, “during the Obama years, several months after James joined a construction firm as an executive, the firm received a contract worth more than a billion dollars to build houses in Iraq while Joe oversaw the U.S.-led occupation of that country.”

Is technology going to be a tool of individual choice or social control?
Facebook and Twitter’s desperate attempts to block a damaging story about Joe and Hunter Biden is the culmination of four years of work to transform social media into the media. Under the guise of false claims about disinformation, foreign election interference, bots, networks, deepfakes, public health risks, and assorted tech paranoia, free speech died on the internet.
The moment when the White House Press Secretary had her account locked for tweeting a damaging news story about Joe Biden brought home the Big Tech reality to most Republicans.
Just like the media, Big Tech is the Democrat Party, and the Democrat Party is Big Tech. But, unlike the media, Big Tech controls the marketplace of ideas to an unprecedented degree.
Facebook controls 80% of social media and Google controls 80% of internet search traffic.
And that’s bad news because Democrats see the internet in the same terms as Xi, Putin, or your average dictator just about anywhere in the world, as a dangerous system spouting disinformation, damaging social ideas, and disruptive political rhetoric that must be controlled using a combination of economic and social pressures, along with government regulation.
Republicans and Democrats are both unhappy with the internet. Republicans are upset because there’s too much censorship and Democrats are upset because there isn’t enough censorship.
That Democrats, who once championed a free internet, now view it the same way all totalitarians do, speaks volumes not only about the death of liberalism but also about the transformation of the internet from a vox populi to a walled garden controlled by a handful of Big Tech monopolies whose cultural views and politics closely align with those of the Democrats.
‘Bigness’ has its own political and economic gravity. Big cities are more likely to have big governments and their inhabitants are more likely to vote for big government policies. They’re also more likely to use and generate the core companies and cultures that make up Big Tech.
The old political alignments based on questions of philosophy are being tossed aside and replaced with a new alignment based on the primevally simple questions of size and power.
The struggle is less defined by abstractions, than by the question of how much power you have.
In the Trump era, the more proximity to power you have, the more likely you are to be a Democrat, and the less proximity to power you have, the more likely you are to be a Republican.
The most striking thing about the Never Trumpers and the Rust Belt and Southern Democrats voting for Trump is how much power the former have and how little power the latter do.
Politics is being reduced to naked power.
Democrats shifted their stance on the internet because they gained control of core national institutions, in no small part through the growing fortunes pouring out of Silicon Valley which have tilted elections, financed political movements, and transformed public perspectives on social issues. And they are using their newfound power to do what the powerful always do, dismantle the safeguards of an open society so that there are no more threats to their power.
They’re doing this under the guise of fighting for equality and justice, and of waging a revolution for the oppressed, but so did most modern tyrants from Stalin to Hitler to Mao.
The Democrats are no longer interested in a free internet, for the same reason that they’ve tossed away free speech, the filibuster, or any institution or procedure that isn’t serving their interests this very minute. This isn’t due to a new progressive enlightenment, Republican obstinacy, grave new threats to democracy, or any of the other talking points they serve up.
The simple answer is that they won.
The Democrats of the 90s who welcomed an open internet were waging an uphill struggle against the open institutions of a generally conservative country. The country is now much less conservative, the institutions are much less open, and every major institutional force, from the biggest companies to the media, is unreservedly and uncritically backing them every step of the way, while suppressing any suggestion that they shouldn’t rule unopposed for all eternity.
All that’s left is collecting their winnings by shutting down the opposition.
Support for free speech is a matter of principle and practical politics. America was built on principle, but the Founding Fathers had a common-sense assessment of human nature. Free societies may be built on principles, but they survive through a balance of power. Every major faction must go on believing that it is in its interest to maintain free speech, checks and balances, and other protections against tyranny because it might end up needing them.
The Democrats have accumulated enough power that they no longer think that they need firewalls because if they play their cards right, the future, the right side of history, is their own.
That’s the fundamental development that explains the current crisis, not only of free speech, but of free elections, and a free country. The internet, like any society’s marketplace of ideas, is a symptom. Free countries have a robust marketplace of ideas. Unfree ones are obsessed with censoring speech and monitoring their citizens, all the while spinning paranoid fantasies about foreign interference, the threat of dangerous ideas, and the risk to political stability from speech.
Anyone who came out of a coma and spent an afternoon listening to CNN (owned by AT&T), reading the Washington Post (owned by the CEO of Amazon), and perusing the latest round of Democrat complaints about election interference and disinformation would know what we are.
The problem isn’t simply radicalism. It’s power.
Democrat radicalism isn’t being driven by the powerless, but by the powerful. That’s why Democrats with PhDs are more radical than those with a high school diploma. The problem of Big Tech can’t be separated from the problem of a political movement with too much power.
The culture of political censorship isn’t merely radical, it’s powerful. Cancel culture by college students or Big Tech censorship aren’t disparate phenomena, they’re the same phenomenon, often practiced on the same platforms by members of the same inbred ruling class.
America has been reconstructed to favor some classes at the expense of others. This new machine combining political institutions, activist groups, and corporations controls public life.
Conservatives can combat it or, like Soviet citizens, make jokes, and wait for it to collapse.
Big Tech is at the nexus of the political, economic, and cultural power of this new machine. That’s why breaking its power must be the objective of any winning conservative movement.
The massive monopolies control political discourse and as they tighten the noose around conservatives, political speech on the internet will consist of media narratives, a few tame conservatives, and little else. Imagine the high point of media dominance with no talk radio or cable conservative news. That’s the future. And it’s not going to arrive a year from now, it may already be here by Election Day. And if not, certainly when the next presidential election arrives.
But Big Tech also holds the key to the radical money machine. AOC and the Squad wouldn’t exist without a founding engineer from Stripe. The founder of eBay is responsible for everything from The Intercept to The Bulwark, the former is the media arm of the Sanders campaign and the latter of the Never Trumpers. The Washington Post was transformed from a fussy government paper into a den of furious radicals by the CEO of Amazon. Google money financed the Bernie Sanders campaign. Big Tech has poured a massive fortune into Black Lives Matter, from Steve Jobs’ widow, to Jeff Bezos’ ex-wife, to Jack Dorsey, the founder of Twitter.
And that’s the tip of the iceberg considering Facebook’s Chan-Zuckerberg Initiative.
The cultural power of Big Tech is even vaster. Google and Facebook determine what most people see on the internet. Amazon and Netflix are swallowing the entertainment industry. In a decade, a handful of vast, mostly, tech companies, Apple, Amazon, AT&T, Disney, Google, Netflix, and Verizon will control the culture far more than the old entertainment industry ever did.
By then it will be much too late to do anything except huddle in a few dark web outposts and mutter hate speech like the controversial words of the First Amendment.
If conservatives don’t fight Big Tech now, they will lose. And they will lose everything.
Big Tech’s power is growing exponentially, but it’s still vulnerable. The companies that will become immovable oligarchies in a decade can still be brought down and broken up. The internet and the marketplace of ideas can rise again from the ruins of those monopolies.
Now is the time. If we don’t fight Big Tech now, America has no future.

In a stunningly brazen move, Twitter has locked the Trump campaign out of its official Twitter account less than three weeks before Election Day on November 3. While Twitter unlocked the campaign after about two hours, the move is extremely noteworthy. Twitter locked the Trump campaign after moving against a New York Post article about Hunter Biden. Republican senators have announced they will subpoena Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey over similar moves.
“Twitter has suspended [The Trump campaign Twitter account] for posting a video calling Joe Biden a liar who has been ripping off our country for years, as it relates to the [New York Post] article. 19 days out from the election,” Mike Hahn, a social media staffer for the campaign, announced on Twitter.
Hahn included a screenshot of a Twitter notice telling the Trump campaign “your account has been locked” for “posting private information.”
Roughly 2.5 hours after Hahn announced the lockout, the Trump campaign announced it had been unlocked and tweeted the same video again.
“We are back and we are re-posting the video Twitter doesn’t want you to watch. JOE BIDEN IS A LIAR WHO HAS BEEN RIPPING OFF OUR COUNTRY FOR YEARS! PASS IT ON,” the campaign tweeted.
The video concerns a blockbuster storyThe New York Post published on Wednesday. The story involved a “smoking gun” email allegedly proving that then-Vice President Joe Biden’s son Hunter introduced the VP to an executive at the notoriously corrupt Ukrainian gas company Burisma — before Joe Biden pressured the Ukrainian president to fire a prosecutor looking into Burisma. This evidence appears to contradict Joe Biden’s repeated claims that he never discussed business deals with Hunter during his vice presidency.
Facebook announced that it was reducing the article’s distribution, even before any fact-check. Twitter also locked people out of their accounts when they tried to share the article, even cracking down on White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany.
On Wednesday evening, Dorsey admitted it was “unacceptable” for Twitter to block URL sharing via tweet or direct message “with zero context as to why we’re blocking.”
The company claimed that the twoNew York Post articles contained images that “include personal and private information — like email addresses and phone numbers — which violate our rules.” Twitter argued that the materials violated its “Hacked Materials Policy.”
“Commentary on or discussion about hacked materials, such as articles that cover them but do not include or link to the materials themselves, aren’t a violation of this policy. Our policy only covers links to or images of hacked material themselves,” Twitter argued. “The policy, established in 2018, prohibits the use of our service to distribute content obtained without authorization. We don’t want to incentivize hacking by allowing Twitter to be used as distribution for possibly illegally obtained materials.”
“We know we have more work to do to provide clarity in our product when we enforce our rules in this manner. We should provide additional clarity and context when preventing the Tweeting or DMing of URLs that violate our policies,” the company concluded.
Many commentators countered this argument.
“You didn’t lock Rachel Maddow out of her account when she was posting about President Trumps alleged tax returns which were obtained illegally,” Mark Dice tweeted.
Will Chamberlain, editor-in-chief at Human Events, asked, “What is your evidence that the materials were ‘obtained through hacking?’”
Sen. Josh Hawley (R-Mo.) condemned Dorsey’s statement, saying it is “not nearly good enough. In fact, it’s a joke. It’s downright insulting. I will ask you – and [Facebook] – to give an explanation UNDER OATH to the Senate subcommittee I chair. These are potential violations of election law, and that’s a crime.”
Hawley formally requested that Dorsey and Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg appear before the Senate Judiciary Subcommittee on Crime and Terrorism in a hearing titled “Digital Platforms and Election Interference.”
While Twitter did unlock the Trump campaign account, it is extremely distressing that the Big Tech company would lock a presidential campaign’s account less than three weeks before Election Day.

U.S. Senator Josh Hawley (R-Mo.) has accused Facebook and Twitter of illegal contributions to the Biden presidential campaign because the two social-media behemoths tried to suppress a story about Biden, his son Hunter, and their shady business dealings in Ukraine.
The story in the New York Post: Joe Biden lied when he said he never discussed with Hunter the latter’s inexplicably lucrative business activities in the country.
Immediately, Facebook and Twitter whirred into damage-control mode for their candidate. Both suppressed the story, and even shut down the Twitter accounts of the Post and White House spokeswoman Kayleigh McEnany.
Hawley’s point: Blocking the story protects Joe Biden, and is, therefore, an off-the-books, in-kind campaign contribution.
Hawley sent three letters yesterday: one to Facebook, one to Twitter, and one to the Federal Elections Commission.
Letter to Zuckerberg Hawley wrote to Facebook chieftain Mark Zuckerberg to ask why the company blocked a story from a mainstream-media source while its social-justice warriors “fact-checked” it.
The Post reported that it secured e-mails from a MacBook Pro, presumably owned by Hunter Biden or a Biden operative, left at a repair shop. The owner of the shop turned a hard drive from the laptop over to the FBI and Rudy Giuliani, a top advisor to President Trump. The Post published e-mails from the hard drive that clearly show Joe Biden lied when he said he had “never spoken to my son about his overseas business dealings” in Ukraine.
One e-mail, dated April 17, 2015, thanked Hunter Biden for arranging a meeting with his father, who was then vice president and President Obama’s top man on Ukraine policy.

The seemingly selective nature of this public intervention suggests partiality on the part of Facebook. And your efforts to suppress the distribution of content revealing potentially unethical activity by a candidate for president raises a number of additional questions, to which I expect responses immediately.
Hawley asked whether Facebook’s “normal policy” is suppressing stories “before they have been fact-checked?” and if so, what is the policy and where has it stated?

If you have evidence that this news story contains “disinformation” or have otherwise determined that there are inaccuracies with the reporting, will you disclose them to the public so that they can assess your findings?
Why did you endeavor to publicly state that such a story was subject to a fact-check? Isn’t such a public intervention itself a reflection of Facebook’s assessment of a news report’s credibility?
Did any member of the Biden-Harris presidential campaign team or any person representing themselves as a representative of the campaign’s interests ask, encourage, or direct Facebook to suppress the New York Post story?
Hawley also explained the move, citing the Post: “Employees of the six largest Silicon Valley tech firms — including Facebook — have donated nearly $5 million to the Biden-Harris campaign.”
Letter to Dorsey In his letter to Twitter CEO Dorsey, Hawley targeted the social-media site’s false claim that the story contained “hacked materials,” and thus violated the so-called Twitter Rules.
“In line with our Hacked Materials Policy, as well as our approach to blocking URLs, we are taking action to block any links to or images of the material in question on Twitter,” Twitter told the Post.
A Twitter representative has since stated that “in line with our Hacked Materials Policy, as well as our approach to blocking URLs, we are taking action to block any links to or images of the material in question on Twitter.” This statement raises questions about the applicability of your policy, especially because such a pre-emptive removal of a news story on such grounds — and the additional scrutiny you have applied — appears to be an unusual intervention that is not universally applied to all content.
Hawley demanded that Dorsey explain how Twitter determined the materials were “hacked,” and why it shut down the Twitter account of a paper as large as the Post.

And, he asked, did the Biden campaign contact Twitter to demand it block the story?
Illegal Contribution Thus did Hawley accuse the two social-media sites of illegal campaign contributions.
“This conduct does not merely censor the core political speech of ordinary Americans, though it certainly does that,” the senator wrote to FEC General Counsel Lisa Stevenson. “Twitter’s and Facebook’s conduct also appears to constitute a clear violation of federal campaign-finance law. Federal law prohibits any corporation from making a contribution to a federal candidate for office.”
Facebook quickly attempted to suppress discussion of the exposé.
Because a contribution is “anything of value … for the purpose of influencing any election for Federal office,” the “active suppression of public speech about the New York Post article appears to constitute contributions under federal law.”
The social media sites are providing “extraordinary value” to the campaign because suppressing the story is “depriving voters access to information that, if true, would link the former Vice President to corrupt Ukrainian oligarchs. And this censorship manifestly will influence the presidential election.”

Twitter locked the account of Lauren Witzke, the Republican party candidate in Delaware’s U.S. Senate race, over a tweet highlighting the impact of mass migration into Europe. According to Twitter, messages against mass immigration are “hateful conduct.”
“Let’s be clear, mass migration absolutely destroyed Europe,” said Witzke in her tweet. “Italy, France, Sweden and Germany took in tons of migrants who never assimilated. Rapes, murders, and other heinous crimes abound. I will end ALL immigration into the US for ten years.”
Twitter said the tweet violates its rules against “hateful conduct,” warning the senate candidate that repeated violations would result in the termination of her access to the platform.
In a comment to Breitbart News, Witzke promised swift action on the issue of tech censorship if elected to the Senate, citing the example of Republican President Teddy Roosevelt, who took on the power of big monopolies at the start of the 20th century.
“This is yet another example of Twitter, which is partially owned by a Saudi Arabian prince, interfering in American elections,” said Witzke.
“If Democrats in Congress really cared about election meddling like they’ve claimed for the past four years, they’d work with Republicans and President Trump to end Big Tech censorship, which we all know is weaponized against conservatives.”…
