Do you buy farmed salmon in the belief that it's the environmentally responsible thing to do? Think again. Fish farms are the water-based equivalents of land-based concentrated animal feeding operations (CAFOs), and as such, they create the same, if not worse, environmental concerns.

Since the salmon pens are placed along with wild salmon runs, they pose a severe threat to wild salmon stocks that pass by, exposing wild fish to diseases such as sea lice, pancreas disease,1 infectious salmon anemia virus, and piscine reovirus.

For a quick review, see "Racing a Virus"2 above — a video created by Alexandra Morton, a Canadian marine biologist who has spent decades studying the impact of salmon farming on wild salmon. Piscine reovirus is a highly contagious blood virus that causes heart disease in the affected fish.

The virus was first discovered in Norwegian salmon farms and has proven to be nearly impossible to eradicate. And, with the spread of this disease into wild populations, wild salmon may soon go extinct.

Toxins Abound in Farmed Salmon

Importantly, farmed salmon also poses health risks to those who eat them. In fact, toxicology testing reveals farmed salmon is one of the most toxic foods in the world — more than five times more toxic than any other food tested.3 A global assessment of farmed salmon published in the January 2004 issue of Science4 found no less than 13 persistent organic pollutants in the fish, including PCBs and dioxins.

Other investigations5 reveal PCB concentrations in farmed salmon are, on average, eight times higher than in wild salmon. According to the authors, "Risk analysis indicates that consumption of farmed Atlantic salmon may pose health risks that detract from the beneficial effects of fish consumption."

Another group of scientists concluded that6 "Consumption of farmed salmon at relatively low frequencies results in elevated exposure to dioxins and dioxin-like compounds with commensurate elevation in estimates of health risk."

Persistent organic pollutants (POPs) are also a concern because, according to Cleveland Clinic,7 "levels of PCB (polychlorinated biphenyl, which is one type of POP) are 16 times higher in farmed fish than in wild fish." Other contaminants, such as antibiotics, are at such high levels that the clinic advises children, women of child-bearing age, and women who are pregnant not to eat farmed salmon at all.

Farmed Salmon Contain Harmful Fats

One of the reasons why farmed salmon contains much higher levels of toxins than wild is because the feed they're given is highly contaminated. In 2017 Responsible Seafood wrote:8

"Research shows farmed fish fed diets heavy on vegetable oils have higher amounts of omega-6 and lower amounts of omega-3 compared to fish fed diets heavy on fish oil. While seafood remains the primary source of beneficial omega-3s — the prevalence of omega-6 threatens seafood's healthy halo, particularly for farmed species with low levels of omega-3 fatty acids.

'The data shows those [vegetable] oils have affected the fatty acid profile in farmed fish, not just in omega-3 overall, but in increased omega-6 as well,' said Jillian Fry, project director of public health and sustainable aquaculture at the Johns Hopkins Center for a Livable Future."

Another reason for the higher toxin content is because farmed salmon contains far higher levels of fat, which binds to and accumulates these toxins. According to Cleveland Clinic:9

"A 3-ounce fillet of wild salmon has fewer calories and half the fat content of the same amount of farmed salmon. And although farmed salmon may have more omega-3 fatty acids, it also has more than double the saturated fat content — and that's not fat you want."

The exaggerated fat content in farmed salmon is a direct result of the processed high-fat feed that farmed salmon are given, which includes species-inappropriate ingredients such as poultry meal, fish meal, poultry fat, fish oil, whole wheat, soybean meal, corn gluten meal, feather meal, and rapeseed oil. In essence, the salmon are being fed a processed junk food diet high in toxic contaminants and drugs, and their nutritional composition reflects this.

Their diet also results in radically skewed ratios of omega-3 to omega-6 fats. Interestingly, industry leaders are beginning to see the light and they know this is not sustainable for good health. According to Responsible Seafood:10

"Out of necessity fish feed companies have turned to a variety of vegetable oils made from rapeseed (canola), soybeans, corn, nuts and wheat. Some are high in omega-6s. Douglas Tocher, professor at University of Stirling in the Institute of Aquaculture, over 15 years has researched how to use plant oils instead of fish oils while keeping the final fillets rich in omega-3s.

There is no way around the fact that shifting to vegetable oils has led to a loss of EPA and DHA," he said. "Farmed salmon is still the best source of EPA and DHA you can get. But we're at the point where we can't continue that forever. We can't continue to just replace fish oil and fishmeal [with plant oils] because then we'll compromise seafood's health benefits … Retaining the long-chain omega-3s in the fish tissue is the top priority."

What's concerning is that the main oil they use — soybean — has an omega-6 to omega-3 ratio as high as 8-to-1! When Purdue University scientists looked at the fatty acid profiles of 76 different fish, they found that the omega-6 fatty acid content "ranged from 11 mg/100 grams in Alaska pollock to 2,530 mg/100 grams in Atlantic salmon."

This lopsided ratio can have negative health ramifications since most people are deficient in omega-3 while already getting far more omega-6 than they need thanks to processed foods, which tend to be high in damaged omega-6 fats. The imbalance also triggers inflammation in your body, according to researchers at Deakin University in Burwood, Australia, who said:

"'When we have such an imbalance it means the body is constantly producing eicosanoids from omega-6 than omega-3. Basically, we put our body in a constant inflammation mode and that can facilitate a lot of diseases.' Those include cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and some forms of cancer."

The bottom line is, rather than being a wonderful source of healthy omega-3s, farmed salmon contains far more omega-6 than omega-3.

Chemical Added to Salmon Feed Has Questionable Safety Profile

A chemical of particular concern found in farmed salmon (but not in wild) is ethoxyquin,11 developed by Monsanto in the 1950s. This chemical is a rubber stabilizer (used in the production of tires), pesticide, preservative, and antioxidant all in one.

While it doesn't have the health benefits normally associated with dietary antioxidants, it does prevent the oxidation of fats, which is why it's used in different types of animal feed, including fish feed and pet food.12 As explained by Nutraceutical Business Review:13

"Globally, ethoxyquin is not approved for use as a direct food additive in foods for human consumption; therefore, ethoxyquin should not be detectable in the food supply. Specific to the omega-3 industry, some krill meals and crude fish oils for animal feed are preserved using ethoxyquin …

The European Union (EU) upper limit in feed (including fish feed, but excluding dog food) is 150ppm ethoxyquin alone or together as the sum of BHA (butylated hydroxyanisole), BHT (butylated hydroxytoluene) and ethoxyquin.

The maximum content of ethoxyquin allowed in dog food is 100ppm and the mixture of ethoxyquin with BHA and BHT is allowed provided the total mixture doesn't exceed 150ppm. According to the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA), ethoxyquin is 'considered to be toxic to aquatic organisms based on the acute toxicity data provided for fish, daphnia and algae.'"

Ethoxyquin Health Effects

In human food production, ethoxyquin is used post-harvest to prevent scald (browning) in pears and apples, and as a color preservative for chili powder, paprika, and ground chili powder.14,15 Side effects from direct exposure to this chemical include skin and eye irritation, allergic reactions, depression, reproductive effects, liver and kidney damage, and thyroid problems, and it's known to be "harmful if swallowed."16

Studies have also shown it adversely affects cell metabolism, especially the metabolic pathways of renal and hepatic cells in rats, and the mitochondria in bovine hearts and kidneys. As noted in one review, "The authors suggested that [ethoxyquin] interacted with the site of the mitochondrial respiratory chain, and it resulted in inhibition of oxygen consumption in the mitochondria of kidney and liver cells when glucose was a respiratory substrate. The effect was dose-dependent."17

According to Chemical News, "While ethoxyquin has not been tested for its carcinogenic potential, a closely related chemical, 1,2-dihydro-2,2,4-trimethylquinoline, showed some evidence of carcinogenic activity in rats. The only suggestion of a potential carcinogenic effect for ethoxyquin came from a Manson et al. (1987) study."18

What Chemical News fails to mention is that the one and only study ever done to assess ethoxyquin's effects on human health also found carcinogenic effects.

This human health study was part of a thesis by Victoria Bohne, a former researcher with the Norwegian National Institute of Nutrition and Seafood Research (NIFES) in Norway, who made a number of disturbing discoveries, including the fact that ethoxyquin can cross the blood-brain barrier. She was ultimately pressured to resign from NIFES after attempts were made to falsify and downplay her findings.

EFSA has also pointed out that while there's not enough data to make a conclusion about ethoxyquin's safety, one of its metabolites, ethoxyquin quinone imine, is "possibly genotoxic," and the impurity p-phenetidine, produced during the manufacturing process, is suspected of being mutagenic, meaning it may damage your DNA.19 As noted in a 2013 review:20

"Possible carcinogenicity of [ethoxyquin] is probably connected with its prooxidant activity and induction of reactive oxygen radicals which cause DNA damage. DNA damage is usually repaired by cellular repair system, but if it is severe or there are too many lesions, this leads to programmed cell death (apoptosis).

Sometimes, however, the programmed cell death pathway is damaged so when the defense mechanisms fail there is no way to stop a cell from becoming a cancer cell. Some in vitro studies showed both cytotoxic effects of [ethoxyquin] leading to cell apoptosis or necrosis and damage of genetic material at DNA or chromosome levels."

Farmed Salmon Is a Significant Source of Ethoxyquin

Due to its potential toxicity, the EU has strict limits for ethoxyquin levels in fruits, nuts, vegetables, and meat. However, since it was never intended for use in fish, and fish feed manufacturers never informed health authorities that they were using it, there are no limits on how much of the chemical is allowed in seafood.

One 2010 study21 found that eating 300 grams of farmed salmon would contribute "at most" 15% of the acceptable daily intake (ADI) of ethoxyquin for an individual weighing 60 kilos (132 pounds), and 75% of the ADI for BHT — another toxic chemical antioxidant. However, another testing has revealed farmed fish can contain levels of ethoxyquin that are up to 20 times higher than the level allowed in fruits, vegetables, and meats, so it can hardly be brushed off as insignificant.

There are also lingering questions about just how much of the chemical people are getting from fish when you add in the metabolites of ethoxyquin, as researchers have found the chemical transforms once inside the animal's body. As one would expect, NIFES insists the levels of ethoxyquin found in fish feed are safe for humans.22 However, considering the lack of research, what guarantees do we have that such claims are accurate?

NIFES also claims ethoxyquin is "required to be added to fish meal in order to prevent it from exploding during sea transport and storage," and inaccurately states that "Everything is toxic if it is consumed in sufficiently large amounts, which is to say that the amount of a given substance … determines whether or not it can damage our health."

This is not an accurate statement of fact, as researchers have shown that even minute amounts of certain toxins can be dangerous. In some cases, there's no safe level above zero.

Studies23 have also demonstrated that even tiny amounts of chemicals, when combined with others, can have significant effects. Even nontoxic chemicals can become carcinogenic at low doses when combined with other chemicals.

As noted in one 2015 study,24 "Our analysis suggests that the cumulative effects of individual (noncarcinogenic) chemicals acting on different pathways, and a variety of related systems, organs, tissues, and cells could plausibly conspire to produce carcinogenic synergies."

Norwegian Fishery Minister Has Financial Ties to Industry

According to Kurt Oddekalv, a Norwegian environmental activist who has brought a lot of attention to the harmful impacts of fish farming, one of the reasons research into the health effects of ethoxyquin is so hard to come by is because it was purposely stifled by the former Norwegian minister of fisheries and coastal affairs, Lisbeth Berg-Hansen,25 a major shareholder in a commercial salmon farm and deputy chair of the board of the Norwegian Institute of Marine Research.

In 2009, the Norwegian environmental group Green Warriors of Norway filed charges against Berg-Hansen, claiming her financial conflicts of interest had led her to violate regulations she was supposed to enforce. A 2013 French documentary claimed she was single-handedly responsible for lowering the legal limits of toxins allowed in Norwegian fish. In the documentary, "Poisonous Fish: The Big Health Lie," Oddekalv also told the filmmakers:26

"… [T]he research budget in the area of ethoxyquin was severely reduced … through pressure from the former Norwegian fishery minister [Berg-Hansen] … The minister herself created the current regulations for fishery. She had full control over the public health authority and everything that had to do with fish farming.

She exploited her power. She wanted fish to be sold at all costs, regardless of whether [it's] sick or not, so that the farmers don't lose any money. This never happened before in Norway. She's the pivotal point of this whole matter."

Ethoxyquin May Pose Greater Risks Than Imagined

A recent article in the Norwegian newspaper Morgenbladet,27 also addresses the conflicts of interest that have kept ethoxyquin in the salmon industry and highlight Bohne's and others' findings:

"[Bohne] contacted a Polish researcher, Alina Blaszczyk of the University of Lodz, who had studied the effect of ethoxyquin on human cells. Attempt that the substance caused chromosomal aberrations, holes and fractures in chromosomes.

Blaszczyk believed the substance damaged the DNA in our lymphocytes — a subset of white blood cells. Today, she explains: 'We found that ethoxyquin was chemically toxic, destroyed chromosomes and DNA …'

… Professor Edmund Maser at the Department of Toxicology and Pharmacology at the University of Kiel … [commented on] the metabolite quinone imine [saying] … 'Quinone imine structures can bind to DNA and can create mutations. They can be carcinogenic.

There is no safe lower level. One molecule may be enough to start a tumor' … Blaszczyk … agrees: 'If a molecule reacts with DNA, it can cause mutations and lead to the development of cancer.'

Blaszczyk has studied how ethoxyquin affects cells and their genetic material. In a summary study, she and colleagues say that research suggests that ethoxyquin is 'guilty of a wide range of health-related problems in dogs as well as in humans.' Dog tests show symptoms in the liver, kidneys, and thyroid gland, dysfunctionality of reproductive capacity, maternal injuries, allergic reactions, skin and hair abnormalities.

Blaszczyk also refers to studies indicating that the metabolite ethoxyquin dimer (EQDM) in the salmon is chemophilic and recombinant in human lymphocytes. The implication of this is that ethoxyquin must be labeled well, consumers must take care not to get too much and that the drug needs to be regulated better than today.

Blaszczyk's studies are broadly cited in EFSA's report, but she writes [via] e-mail: 'They did not mention the most important of these studies. It was that ethoxyquin caused disentric chromosomes, and relocated atypical chromosomes. These deviations were not extensive, but they were serious.'"

When Boycotting Factory Farmed Food, Remember the Fish

Factory farming has not only become a source of tremendous pollution but it's also creating food that is unsafe for consumption in the long term. This includes fish farms, which are the CAFOs of the sea. So, when you shop for healthy food for your family, remember to look for wild-caught seafood and shun farmed varieties.

At present, more than half of all fish consumed in the U.S. is farmed, and it's only customer demand that allows this destructive industry to flourish — which it does at the expense of your health. As noted by Organic Consumers:28

"The U.S. industrial agriculture and fishing industry is an out of control system based on cruel, filthy, disease-ridden and environmentally destructive animal prisons and fish pens; labor exploitation; false advertising; … corporate corruption of government; and the use of massive amounts of dangerous pesticides, chemical fertilizers, antibiotics, hormones and growth promoters …

The production of factory-farmed meat, dairy, poultry and fish is the No. 1 cause of water pollution, soil degradation, greenhouse gas emissions, and chronic diseases such as cancer, heart disease, diabetes, reproductive defects, hormone disruption and obesity…

Factory-farmed salmon and fish not only threaten wild salmon and other marine species by spreading disease … but also by contaminating coastal waters and the ocean with the toxic chemicals and feed used on fish farms.

As Sea Shepherd Conservation Society says, via their Operation Virus Hunter campaign, 'You are not saving wild salmon by eating farmed salmon' … We are what we eat. This means, among other things, we need to be just as concerned about fish and seafood as we are about the other items on our plate.

So, ask your restaurant waiter if the vegetables are organic, and better yet local and organic, and put your money where your values lie. But don't forget to ask whether the meat, dairy or eggs are organic or grass-fed; or whether they are coming off the food service truck from factory farms.

And last but not least, don't forget to do the same thing for the items on the fish menu. The nation that destroys its soil, freshwater and oceans is the nation that will eventually destroy itself."

Will Switching From Beef to Soy Save the Planet?

A study published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition1 sought to estimate the potential impact on carbon and water resources when a single dietary substitution was made in an individual's diet plan. The researchers analyzed many food items and found the highest impact foods may reduce carbon footprint and water usage. However, the suggested substitutions may have additional health challenges.

Many of the food substitutions the researchers want you to try also have higher levels of omega-6 fatty acids in the form of linoleic acid (LA). Omega-6 fats are essential for good health. However, a Western diet has an abundance of omega-6 fats and not enough omega-3 fats.

These two fats must be balanced in a ratio as close to 1-to-1 as possible.2 I consider LA to be one of the most significant contributors to metabolic dysfunction. In my opinion, this poison is the primary contributor to the rising rates of chronic disease.

As I plan to cover in my next book, LA leads to severe mitochondrial dysfunction, decreased NAD+ levels, obesity, insulin resistance, and a radical decrease in the ability to generate energy. As you consider the substitutions the researchers suggest, consider also the nutrient content of the food products and the long-term impact this has on your health. Instead, there are better options.

Substituting a Single Food Item May Reduce Carbon Footprint

In January 2022, researchers from Tulane University3 published an analysis of the 24-hour dietary recall information gathered from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) taken 2005 to 2010. The analysis was meant to estimate the potential change in carbon footprint or water usage if a single dietary substitution was made in the group of 16,800 adults surveyed.4

The researchers used the Healthy Eating Index (HEI)5 to assess the quality of each diet and then placed foods with the highest impact on greenhouse gas emissions at the top of the list. The participants' carbon footprint was calculated based on their current diet and then again with a hypothetical food substitution.

The data showed that the food with the highest impact on greenhouse-gas emissions is conventionally produced beef products. Cattle are conventionally raised in concentrated animal feeding operations (CAFO), which are notorious for producing large amounts of carbon and methane.6 Additional problems with CAFOs were noted in a study published by Johns Hopkins in 2019:7

  • CAFOs are subsidized by taxpayer money
  • Food produced uses 12 times the energy needed to produce food outside a CAFO
  • There are nearly 20,000 CAFOs in the U.S. where over 9 billion animals are raised and slaughtered annually
  • CAFOs are found more frequently in low-income communities

CAFO-raised animals are also fed foods they wouldn’t naturally consume, which affects the meat.8 The researchers suggested that swapping out one high-impact food item for another with a similar HEI score could have a measurable impact on greenhouse gas emissions. The intention was to provide a substitution that didn’t change the quality of the diet the participant had chosen.

Nearly 20% of those surveyed reported eating at least one serving of beef each day. The researchers estimated that if this 20% collectively swapped out one serving of beef for a serving of ground turkey, the greenhouse gas emission impact could fall by an average of 48% and water use could be reduced by 30%.9

The researchers went on to analyze the overall effect this would have if only 20% who ate beef each day substituted one meal with beef each day. The data showed it could reduce the carbon footprint by 9.6% and water usage by 5.9%.

Diego Rose, professor of nutrition and food security at Tulane University's School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine, commented that their data showed even simple steps can help make a difference to climate change.10 Another of their recommendations is to substitute dairy milk for soy-based milk products.11

Fake Milk Is Now Possible

A second fake food news announcement was also made in February 2022. After 15 years of research at Tel Aviv University, Imagindairy announced a novel way of producing milk-based proteins without animals. It’s being touted as “actual milk complete with dairy proteins. But not a cow in sight.”12

Fifteen years of work produced the process, which Imagindairy company used to close a $13 million seed investment to commercialize the production of animal-free milk proteins. The CEO of the company believes the market is looking for more fake food based on animal-free proteins.13

The production uses microorganisms in a process they call “precision fermentation.” The scientists claim the process produces whey and casein, which are two of the key components in cow's milk responsible for specific properties, such as taste and texture. Scientists use microflora to produce casein and whey after providing microorganisms with the DNA sequence to make these proteins.

The company boasts this specific process does not require a cow. Instead, the DNA blueprint given to the microorganisms is produced by the software. The microflora are added to a tank with water, nutrients, and sugar. Since the organisms have the DNA blueprint, during fermentation they produce the two proteins.

The scientists then separate the proteins from the microflora, after which it is filtered, purified, and dried. The resulting powder can be used to make milk, cream cheese, yogurt, and cheese. The company is promoting the difference in greenhouse gas emissions between producing fake milk and CAFO dairy cattle production. Eyal Afergan, co-founder and CEO of Imagindairy, commented to Food Ingredients:14

“Consumers want the sensation of real milk, but at the same time, they don’t want to harm the animals. Our vision is to enable every dairy lover worldwide to enjoy tasty and nutritious dairy products while preserving the environment and protecting animals. Together, we can create a world where a dairy cow is just a cow nurturing her calf.”

If you'll note, the most important factor in producing fake milk appears to be the sensation of real milk without saying that a product produced by injecting DNA into microorganisms fermenting water, sugar, and unknown nutrients can provide the nutrition your body needs for optimal health. They would like to make the cow obsolete.

Lab-Grown Ice Cream Made From GE Fungi

In a similar move, the Perfect Day company received regulatory approval to develop ice cream in 201915 using animal-free protein made from genetically engineered fungi.16 The process of making lab-grown milk proteins is far from natural, but Perfect Day has tried to get around this by describing the process as “collaborating with nature,”17 which is another way of describing the DNA manipulation within microorganisms.

The Perfect Day company is pushing a future of fake food by “urgently bringing new products to the market.”18 They created the Urgent Company as the “very embodiment of our generation's sense of urgency … to use science and technology to make better, more sustainable things for us all.”19

The FDA has given the GE proteins generally recognized as safe (GRAS) status20 even though it's unknown what the long-term consequences of consuming this fake food will be. Perfect Day also claims that the proteins used to make their products are “some of the purest protein in the food industry.”

The fake food industry pushes lab-grown proteins by pointing out the obvious, that conventional and factory-farmed dairy production and beef production is not good for the animals or for the planet. However, the suggestion that the only alternative is to create synthetic food in the laboratory is far from the truth.

Regenerative Farming Practices Lead to Clean Environment

The study from Tulane University did not consider the overall damage to the environment and human health as they sought to find food substitutions. In other words, they substituted CAFO-grown beef for CAFO-grown chicken or turkey and cow’s milk for soymilk.

Impossible Foods, makers of meat, fish, and dairy products from plants,21 sought to prove they had a better carbon footprint than live animal farms. They hired Quantis to do an analysis,22 which is a group of scientists and strategists who help their clients take action based on scientific evidence. According to the executive summary, their product reduces environmental impact between 87% and 96% in the categories studied.

These included global warming potential, land occupation, and water consumption, two of the factors considered in the Tulane University study.23 Impossible Foods compared the fake meat product to meat produced at CAFOs, whereas a healthier and more sustainable choice is beef produced by grass-fed cows. However, there is a cleaner and healthier choice for your health and the environment.

White Oak Pastures in Bluffton, Georgia,24 produces high-quality, grass-fed products using regenerative grazing practices. They commissioned the same analysis by Quantis and published their 33-page study25 demonstrating the comparison of White Oak Pastures emissions against conventional CAFO beef production.

While the manufacture of fake meat reduced carbon footprint by 96% in some categories, White Oaks had a net total emission in the negative numbers as compared to CAFO-produced meat. Furthermore, grass-fed beef from White Oak pastures had a carbon footprint that was 111% lower than a typical U.S. CAFO, and its regenerative system effectively captured soil carbon.

The fake food industry also relies heavily on the monoculture production of soy, which damages the environment.26 It's worth noting that much of this is GMO soy that contains Roundup ingredient glyphosate.27

In addition to soybeans, research has also warned that soybean oil, which is one of the most widely consumed cooking oil in America,28 can cause neurological and metabolic changes that are associated with autism, Alzheimer's disease, Type 2 diabetes, and obesity.29

Bill Gates Wants Rich Countries to Eat Synthetic Food

Supporters of lab-grown synthetic food promote the idea that it's about creating a sustainable food supply or making a “green” decision that helps the planet. However, in a piece published in early September 2021,30 the food critic for Financial Times made a strong case about how lab-grown meat is more about intellectual property (IP) and creating a financial windfall for those who own it or have invested in it.

Using a historical perspective, he looked at the patents that protect breakfast cereal, carbonated beverages, vaccines, drugs, genetically modified plants, and pesticides. In each case, the IP owned by the agrichemical businesses, Kellogg, Coca-Cola, McDonald's, and Big Pharma were the lifeblood of their financial success. He wrote:31

"Currently, there’s not a lot of IP in the meat industry ... Saving animal lives, preventing the clear-cutting of rainforest, even the reduction of methane farts don’t excite investors — those changes can’t translate to profit.

The holy grail is replacing the meat we consume with a proprietary product, owning the IP on meat. Coca-Cola and McDonald’s managed to grow patented food products into two of the top food companies on the globe by market cap, but a patent on animal-free ‘meat’ could entirely dwarf their achievements."

It should therefore come as no surprise that Bill Gates promotes the idea of producing and distributing 100% synthetic beef to fight climate change.32 Despite data having proven that regenerative farming strategies are healthier for the environment than synthetic food, and despite his ownership of thousands of acres of farmland,33 the core tenant in his book to eliminate greenhouse gas emissions is synthetic food.34

It is worth noting that this book was written by a man who built a 65,993 square-foot (6,131 square-meter) home with a 23-car garage, 20-person cinema, and 24 bathrooms.35 He also owns five other homes, a horse farm, four private jets, and several helicopters.

According to a study reported in Business Today, Gates’ annual carbon footprint is 7,493 metric tons of carbon, much of which is produced by his aircraft. In this case, you also want to follow the money. In an article published in Forbes, March 22, 2021, one financial reporter wrote:36

“Now, I don’t necessarily agree with Gates. And I hate the idea of governments deciding what their citizens should eat (which seems to be what Gates is suggesting). But my job is to help you make money. And there’s no question that there’s billions to be made in the technology behind plant-based meat.”

During Gates’ interview with MIT Technology Review, he said:37

“So no, I don’t think the poorest 80 countries will be eating synthetic meat. I do think all rich countries should move to 100% synthetic beef. You can get used to the taste difference, and the claim is they’re going to make it taste even better over time. Eventually, that green premium is modest enough that you can sort of change the [behavior of] people or use regulation to totally shift the demand.”

Consider the last sentence in that paragraph as Gates and other technocrats are aiming at controlling the population through central production and distribution of food. It is important to understand that promoting lab-grown protein is not about sustainability but, rather, about wealth and power.

Using intellectual property, tech giants hope to replace living animals with patented plant- and animal-derived alternatives, which will effectively control the food supply. And Gates’ 242,000 acres of farmland spread across Illinois, Louisiana, California, Iowa, and nearly one dozen other states38 appear to be earmarked for genetically engineered corn and soy crops.39 In other words, he’s farming the basic crops needed for (plant-based) fake meat and processed foods.

(Natural News) In order to enter big box stores like Walmart and Costco, residents of Quebec, Can., now have to show proof of Wuhan coronavirus (Covid-19) “vaccination” or else be chaperoned around the store by an employee to ensure they only purchase food.

CBC News reports (watch below) that the unvaccinated in Quebec are now restricted to buying only things like milk and bread when they hit up the IKEA food court for instance. All of that Swedish furniture, however, will be off-limits to them.

“Today, big box stores that have a footprint of 1,500 square meters or more are going to have to ask people, customers, to show proof of vaccination,” the CBC reporter explains in the segment.

“Now, pharmacies and grocery will be exempt from this. So, if you’re going into a Costco or a Walmart or something like that, where you might be going in to buy groceries or visit the pharmacy, in that case, an employee will have to be with that person as they walk through the store to make sure that they do not go and buy other products or other items that might be in the store.”

Only “essential” goods can be purchased by the unvaccinated, in other words. And the government apparently gets to arbitrarily define what essential means to only include the very basics of life. (Related: Canadian grocery stores are also suffering from supply chain woes.)

“There are several reasons we’re disappointed,” said Patrick Delisle, head of marketing for the Quebec hardware chain Canac. “First of all, we would’ve liked to be treated as an essential service – we’ve been essential since the beginning of the pandemic.”

Health Minister Christian Dubé, however, does not care about Canac’s plight. He would rather punish the unvaccinated and hurt local businesses in an effort to strongarm more people into getting injected.

“We’re not going to ask someone who’s dealing with water damage [in their home] if they’re vaccinated or not,” Delisle added about the lunacy of this new decree. “It’s really frustrating to have to manage clients living in situations like that … it’s not our job.”

In addition to the sheer burden of having to check people’s jab status at the door, not to mention the lost economic activity that results, Canac says that it will cost around $100,000 per week to enforce Dubé’s mandate at its 31 stores throughout the province.

Simon Gagnon, owner of a Sports Experts franchise in Quebec, added that the current labor shortage will make it a “colossal challenge” to keep enough security guards on-site for enforcement purposes, let alone employees to continue running the stores.

“What scares us is that instead of lining up, people will go shop somewhere else,” Gagnon says, noting that Dubé’s mandate creates unfair competition between larger retailers with deep pockets and smaller stores that do not have the means to enforce the new rules.

“We’re just the messenger … it’s not us who decided to do it,” Delisle says. “We’re getting a lot of messages from people on social media pouring their hearts out – to put it politely.”

The construction industry, which had hoped for an exemption, is also suffering from a lack of workers due to their having to be injected in order to receive a paycheck.

As a favor to drug companies that are studying it as a potential “drug” treatment for the Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19), the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is going after N-acetylcysteine, a natural compound that the agency is suddenly claiming no longer qualifies as a legal dietary supplement.

Reports indicate that the FDA has sent out a series of warning letters to supplement manufacturers warning them that NAC, as it is also called, does not meet the definition of a dietary supplement because it was supposedly first approved as a “drug” back in 1963.

The FDA claims that NAC was never marketed as a food or supplement prior to the agency’s approval of it as a drug. This, according to the agency, means that the “rights” to sell it are under the jurisdiction of the FDA, which is steering it towards Big Pharma entities now trying to capitalize on it as a possible Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19) remedy.

Some 1,170 different dietary supplement products currently on the market contain NAC, as it is a popular natural remedy for treating liver side effects associated with Tylenol (acetaminophen) overdoses. NAC is “also used to loosen the thick mucus in the lungs of people with cystic fibrosis or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease,” according to the summary of a study sponsored by the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.

NAC has also been shown to stop cancer in its tracks.

“This is not a fringe ingredient,” notes Steve Mister, president and CEO of the Council for Responsible Nutrition (CRN), as quoted by Natural Products Insider.

Before coronavirus, FDA recognized NAC as an ordinary food supplement

According to Steven Tave, director of the FDA Office of Dietary Supplement Programs (ODSP), the warning letters that have been sent out merely reiterate the FDA’s previous conclusions concerning NAC, and have nothing to do with drug companies now trying to capitalize on NAC by potentially patenting it as a Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19) treatment.

“To the extent that any stakeholders and anyone in industry or anyone else has facts that they think would cause us to rethink our conclusion, then we would welcome that evidence,” Tave stated during a recent interview. “We’re happy to review it, and we would invite them to submit it to us.”

Interestingly, the FDA has not had much of a problem with NAC up until now, as CRN is aware of roughly 150 structure/function claims about its use that have never drawn objection from the FDA. Supplement manufacturers have been marketing it for decades without issue, in other words, and only now is the FDA making a stink about it.

Furthermore, the FDA indicated back in 2018, responding to a petition for a qualified health claim, that six individual substances in the petitioner’s dietary supplement were either components of food or a dietary supplement. And this particular supplement contained NAC, suggesting that the FDA had no problem with it back then.

“FDA has not been consistent over the years,” Mister contends.

As for the drug exclusionary provision that Tave is now citing as justification for going after NAC in the age of the Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19), Mister further explains that this “was intended to create a race to market so that you didn’t take away the incentives for drug companies to study products for potential disease uses.”

“But it was never meant to be a shield to just go out and start removing products from the market,” he further contends. “FDA has demonstrated over many … years a bias in favor of drug products, which makes sense because FDA has a lot more control over bringing a drug to market than they do foods or cosmetics or supplements.”

N-acetyl-L-cysteine (NAC) has been on the market as a supplement for decades—why is the FDA attacking it now?

A few weeks ago, we told you about the FDA’s recent actions threatening NAC supplements—products which the FDA has allowed on the market for decades. The question is, why now, after all these years, is the FDA doing this? Digging a bit deeper, it seems obvious that the FDA is clearing the market of affordable NAC supplements in an effort to eliminate competition for NAC drugs that could be coming to market in the next few years. If our suspicions are correct, this would be another outrageous example of the FDA doing Big Pharma’s dirty work. We cannot let it happen.

To briefly recap how we got here: In a slew of warning letters sent last year, the FDA targeted a number of supplement companies marketing “unapproved” cures for hangovers—which the agency absurdly considers to be a “disease.” Some of these products contain NAC. In the letters to those companies, the FDA states that NAC does not meet the legal definition of a supplement because it was approved as a drug in 1963; according to federal law, any substance approved as a drug before it was sold as a supplement cannot be sold as a supplement. All of this means that the status of NAC as a supplement is currently in dispute.

So, why is the FDA threatening NAC now, during a pandemic when a new FDA commissioner hasn’t even been appointed? For starters, a drug company is investigating NAC as a treatment for a rare genetic disorder that damages the myelin sheath, which insulates nerve cells in the brain. The Phase 1 trial was completed in March 2020.

But that’s just the beginning. A search through the government’s clinical trials database shows considerable interest from the pharmaceutical industry in NAC. There are 17 trials looking at NAC, in both drug and supplement form, in the treatment of COVID. Additionally, there are over 50 trials looking at NAC for a variety of other conditions, including autism spectrum disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, alcohol abuse disorder, rhinosinusitis, bronchiolitis, cardiac arrhythmia, and more.

Note that NAC drugs are currently available in generic form since it is off-patent, but a company could bring a new branded NAC drug to market if it was proven effective for an additional indication.

Given these facts, it seems reasonable to assume that the FDA is setting the stage for a new NAC drug to come to market by removing the competition from much cheaper NAC supplements. We called it when the FDA pulled a similar move a few years back when they went after brain health supplements, trying to clear the market for a new Alzheimer’s drug—culminating in the recent approval of an Alzheimer’s treatment that many experts think is not effective. CBD supplements may face a similar fate if Congress does not force the FDA’s hand by legalizing CBD in dietary supplements.

It is critically important to maintain access to affordable NAC supplements. In a recent interview with the Life Extension Foundation, Dr. Daniel Amen noted that NAC “has shown promising results in people with bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, OCD, and addictions. It can also decrease inflammation and may help delay brain atrophy in Alzheimer’s disease.” NAC protects the body from toxins, is a selective immune system enhancer, and helps remove free radicals, which contribute to neurogenerative diseases and aging. In Europe, NAC is a prescription medicine used to reduce congestion.

NAC is also a precursor to glutathione, one of the body’s most important antioxidants. Glutathione plays crucial roles in nutrient metabolism and the regulation of many cellular events (such as gene expression, protein synthesis, cell proliferation, and more); glutathione deficiency contributes to oxidative stress, which is implicated in the development of many diseases: Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, liver disease, HIV, heart attack, cancer, stroke, and diabetes.

Note that acetaminophen depletes glutathione, so those who regularly take it should consider, in consultation with an integrative doctor, supplementing with NAC to replenish glutathione levels. In fact, NAC is routinely used in hospitals to counteract acetaminophen toxicity.

NAC is far too important to be threatened by the FDA, especially under such dubious circumstances.

(Natural News) Most of America is still prohibited by the government from growing natural medicinal herbs (i.e., cannabis, psilocybin mushrooms, peyote) at home. That same government, however, is spending gobs of American tax dollars to develop artificial mRNA plant “vaccines” that Americans will be encouraged to consume and possibly even grow themselves in order to “protect” themselves against the latest designer “viruses.”

A recent announcement from the University of California, Riverside (UCR) explains that the National Science Foundation (NSF) gave a $500,000 taxpayer-funded grant to a group of scientists from UCR to genetically modify (GMO) new fruits and vegetables for Big Pharma that contain hidden vaccines inside their plant material.

“The future of vaccines may look more like eating a salad than getting a shot in the arm,” wrote Jules Bernstein in a school announcement about the project. “UC Riverside scientists are studying whether they can turn edible plants like lettuce into mRNA vaccine factories.”

Since existing mRNA vaccines in traditional vials have to be kept at very low temperatures in order to remain “viable,” getting them into people’s arms before they “expire” is a challenge. mRNA vegetables and fruits could solve this problem, scientists say.

“Ideally, a single plant would produce enough mRNA to vaccinate a single person,” said Juan Pablo Giraldo, an associate professor in UCR’s Department of Botany and Plant Science who is heading up the research in conjunction with other scientists from the University of California San Diego (UCSD) and Carnegie Mellon University (CMU).

“We are testing this approach with spinach and lettuce and have long-term goals of people growing it in their own gardens. Farmers could also eventually grow entire fields of it.”

In America, natural is “illegal” and unnatural is the norm

Giraldo further explained that the key to reprogramming plants to make artificial mRNA nanoparticles is to tamper with their chloroplasts.

These small plant cell organs normally convert sunlight into energy that plants then use to grow and thrive. After being manipulated by Giraldo and his ilk, these chloroplasts can be used to grow mRNA drugs for the pharmaceutical industry.

“They’re tiny, solar-powered factories that produce sugar and other molecules which allow the plant to grow,” Giraldo says. “They’re also an untapped source for making desirable molecules.”

By “desirable,” Giraldo of course means patentable and more importantly profitable. This plandemic operation is big money, after all, and once the injections they are calling “vaccines” fizzle out in popularity, the next step is to disguise them as fresh produce.

Mad scientists like Giraldo clearly believe that more people will be convinced to take “vaccines” if they look more like food as opposed to a metal syringe. And they are going to do everything within their power to achieve this goal.

“Our idea is to repurpose naturally occurring nanoparticles, namely plant viruses, for gene delivery to plants,” added Nicole Steinmetz, a UCSD professor of nanoengineering, about the abominable project.

“Some engineering goes into this to make the nanoparticles go to the chloroplasts and also to render them non-infectious toward the plants.”

Giraldo says it has long been a “dream” of his (talk about deranged…) to develop something like this. It has apparently been one of his lifelong goals to turn natural plants into artificial pharmaceutical factories.

“One of the reasons I started working in nanotechnology was so I could apply it to plants and create new technology solutions,” he is quoted as saying. “Not just for food, but for high-value products as well, like pharmaceuticals.”

Giraldo is also working on a project to artificially engineer plants to inject their own nitrogen fertilizer straight into chloroplasts.

Now, we have new information that reveals the food scarcity attack vector is targeting the fertilizer supply chain in order to unleash massive crop failures in 2022.

An article in Free West Media sounds the alarm on this situation, entitled, “Fertilizer shortages could become the death knell for global food production.” (Free West Media has been added to our index of news sites at Censored.news, so you’ll find clickable headlines there from now on.)

The article documents the astonishing number of freight train accidents involving fertilizer-carrying trains: (emphasis ours)

Around the world, everything from factories having been destroyed in explosions to trains loaded with fertilizer derailed. In some cases, sabotage is suspected.

An example of devastating accidents occurred in the US state of Iowa on May 16 earlier this year. A freight train transporting fertilizer in no less than 47 wagons then derailed and several of the wagons also started to burn. Less than a day before, another freight train with 28 carriages derailed in Minnesota. It carried, among other things, hydrochloric acid, which is an important ingredient for fertilizer.

These are just two of the unusually high number of accidents that have affected manufacturers and transports of fertilizers in the past year. An American train driver with over 30 years of experience commented that “we have more derailments with fertilizer trains this year than during my entire professional time”.

CF Industries is the primary agricultural fertilizer producer in North America and one of the largest in the world

To understand where food comes from, you need to know about CF Industries. With over 3,000 employees and over $4 billion in annual revenue, CF Industries has dozens of distribution terminals in North America (including Canada), and two locations in the UK:

But CF Industries has been plagued by manufacturing plant shutdowns. As Free West Media explains:

In Louisiana, is CF Industries’ largest ammonia factory in the world, but it was closed down for safety reasons the day before [hurricane] Ida struck, but could not resume production after it had passed due to the power outage.

Fertilizer factories have recently also begun to close down their operations due to the high costs of natural gas, which is used in production.

A couple of examples are two factories in the UK, one in Billingham and one in Cheshire, which closed in mid-September. The two plants account for no less than around 45 percent of domestic demand. Industry insiders have pointed out how they found it strange that these were owned by CF Industries.

Instead of compensating for delays due to the hurricane, CF chose to close two more factories two weeks later.

The same thing has happened in many European countries with “too high natural gas prices”. Austrian fertilizer producer Borealis AG and German SKW Piesteritz, which is Germany’s largest producer of ammonia have scaled-down production by 20 percent. The German company said in a statement that “the level that has now been reached no longer enables economically sound production, so we have to take this step”.

As Bloomberg.com reportsit is no longer economically feasible to manufacture fertilizer due to high energy costs. (Emphasis added)

CF Industries Holdings Inc. said Wednesday it’s halting operations at its Billingham and Ince manufacturing complexes due to high natural gas prices, with no estimate for when production will resume. European gas and power futures tumbled Thursday on signs energy-intensive industries are curbing consumption.

The crisis could have severe economic consequences. Soaring prices are exposing the risk of power outages this winter, according to Goldman Sachs Group Inc. Blackouts would likely send energy prices even higher, compounding concerns about inflation and adding to the rising costs businesses are already shouldering for raw materials.

For CF, shutting down these plants, which largely produce ammonium nitrate, will cause the company to lose some production volume, according to Alexis Maxwell, an analyst at Bloomberg Intelligence. The bigger potential impact will likely be on global pricing for fertilizer as concerns grow that other producers will follow suit, she said.

Fertilizer prices are already high, and that’s adding to increasing expenses for farmers, who are paying more for everything from land and seeds to equipment. The higher costs of production may mean even more food inflation is on the way.

“We wouldn’t be surprised to see more nitrogen and chemicals production across Europe idled in the coming days until gas prices moderate,” Joel Jackson, an analyst at BMO Capital Markets, said in a report.

(NYSE: CF), a leading global manufacturer of hydrogen and nitrogen products, today announced that it is halting operations at both its Billingham and Ince, UK, manufacturing complexes due to high natural gas prices. The Company does not have an estimate for when production will resume at the facilities.

For the record, we are not attributing anything nefarious to CF Industries. The company should be celebrated, in fact, for providing the nutrients that contribute to feeding about half the world. CF Industries’ website talks a lot about “green energy” and “environmental stewardship” and so on. This is today’s necessary virtue-signaling talk to appease left-wing lunatics who don’t know where food comes from and who live in fairy tale delusions where energy is magically created out of nothing. All the “Green New Deal” lunatics have literally zero knowledge of physics, chemistry, agriculture, geophysics, atmospheric chemistry, and so on, which is why they are trying to destroy carbon dioxide, the single most important nutrient in photosynthesis that grows food crops. Given current technology, it is patently impossible to produce affordable ammonia without using fossil fuels, period. Affordable food comes from affordable energy, and when energy is no longer affordable, food simply cannot be produced in an affordable manner. That’s straight-up cause and effect. (The whole world is about to learn this lesson in 2022, it turns out…)

The fertilizer shortage is already so bad that in some areas, farmers can’t even order fertility for their 2022 crops:

Hermann Greif, a farmer from the village of Pinzberg in the southern state of Bavaria, told AP that he was shocked when he discovered that he could not even order fertilizer for next year. “There is no product, no price, not even a contract. It is a situation we have never seen before,” said Greif.  “If I do not give my crops the nutrition they need, the yield will be much lower. It’s that simple.”

The Ice Age Farmer is warning about the same situation, revealing that farmers are unable to acquire the supplies they need to grow food (including fertilizer):

China is the world’s top fertilizer exporter… and they BANNED exports of phosphate until June 2022

The other shocking element in all this is that China appears to be engaged in a fertilizer embargo against the United States and other Western nations, as they have banned phosphate exports for the first half of 2022. From Free West Media:

…[O]n July 30, when the Chinese Communist Party CCP ordered its phosphate manufacturers to suspend their exports one year ahead, until June 2022. China is the world’s largest exporter of phosphate fertilizers and had time to deliver in the first half of this year, before the export ban.

This happened after CCP has already reduced production due to “climate emission issues at production facilities”. Thus, globalists demand reduced carbon dioxide emissions and CCP reduces production so much that they then realize that they probably can no longer export. The effect of these decisions had an immediate effect on prices, as China accounts for almost a third of the world’s phosphate trade.

Thus, the left-wing push for decarbonization of the world is actually causing the de-crop-ization of the world, meaning accelerating famine and mass starvation due to food scarcity stemming from a lack of fertilizers.

3.8 billion human beings depend on nitrogen fertilizers to grow affordable food… and those fertilizers are being cut off like never before

From Free West Media:

According to studies (Erisman et al.) Published in the scientific journal Nature, 48 percent of the world population in 2008 was dependent on nitrogen fertilizers for their daily access to food. “This means that nitrogen fertilizers in 2015 provided food security for 3,5 billion people who would otherwise have starved to death.”

Translated to today’s population figures, the lack of chemical fertilizers would lead to 3.8 billion people being left without food, with mass starvation, mass death, war, chaos, and social decay that have not been seen since the previous Grand Solar Minimum.

Beyond the 3.8 billion lives depending on nitrogen fertilizers, we also have the data point that says 49.9% of the world population has been injected with spike protein biological weapons labeled “vaccines.” According to Our World In Data, another 27 million people are being injected each day.

That means there are very nearly 4 million people who have been injected with biological weapons. Many of those will die over the next several years as cancer, autoimmune disorders, AIDS-like conditions, and heart conditions explode.

Importantly, vaccine uptake is very poor in developing nations, but poverty is rampant and those nations are highly susceptible to starvation due to fertilizer disruptions. Yet vaccine update is very high in wealthy nations, where food scarcity is rarely a concern (although the situation is rapidly worsening in those nations anyway, due to supply chain problems).

This leads me to the following astonishing conclusion:

Fertilizer scarcity is engineered to kill off populations in developing nations, while vaccines are engineered to kill off the populations in wealthy nations.

Between starvation and bioweapons “vaccination,” the vast majority of the current world population will be subjected to one of these two genocidal vectors. When globalists state they want to reduce the world population by 90%, they mean it. In fact, they’ve figured out exactly how to pull it off.

Food riots, food rationing, and rampant food inflation are now all inevitable.

(Natural News) In today’s analysis, offered both here in article format as well as in the Situation Update podcast below, I reveal why food rationing is coming to America, followed by food riots.

This is an analysis based on current data points and trends, including the collapse of agricultural fertilizer production (affecting crop yields throughout 2022), the collapse of the supply chain for agricultural machinery parts (no parts for tractors, planters, combines, etc.), the continued lockdown-induced labor shortage crisis (affecting food production and processing companies) and the obvious desire by the Biden regime to cause maximum suffering and death across America via vaccine mandates, economic collapse and engineered scarcity.

The implications of all this will extend throughout 2022 and will almost certainly persist into 2023.

We can already see the food shortages on the horizon, due to crop production cycles

While finance predictions are very difficult to nail down due to the ability of financial markets to suddenly shift, agriculture is dependent on natural cycles and time requirements such as seasons, plant growth timelines, availability of fertilizer, costs of fuel, transportation infrastructure, etc. Thus, when agricultural inputs begin failing in the present, it doesn’t require rocket science to project the failures in crop production one or more seasons into the future.

I describe this as future results being “baked in” based on today’s conditions and inputs. Right now, in late 2021, we are seeing the collapse of supply lines for tractor parts, large-scale oil storage facilities projecting a crisis in crude oil shortfall in just the next few weeks, soaring energy prices across Europe, energy shortages on a global scale, the shutting down of fertilizer plants, ammonia plants and greenhouse operations, breakdowns in transportation logistics and deliveries, logjammed ports and container traffic congestion, and many other factors that essentially describe a kind of “siege warfare” under which the United States is currently suffering. (We are living in a “theater of war” right now, and engineered scarcity is just one of the many weapons that have been deployed in that war.)

Knowing all this, we can easily conclude that food availability is going to be crushed through the remainder of 2021, all through 2022, and likely well into 2023.

It is no longer a question of whether food scarcity will dramatically worsen over this time period; it’s merely a question of why it is being engineered (and how long it lasts).

Food scarcity is necessary to provoke food riots and social unrest leading to martial law and the suspension of elections

The Democrats know they’re going to be politically slaughtered in the 2022 mid-term elections if those elections are allowed to take place. If you thought the, “Let’s Go Brandon” chant was popular now, just wait for America to endure another year of starvation, food inflation, supply chain disruptions, border invasions, and money printing madness that loots the American pocketbook.

With Democrats already a lawless cabal of heartless criminals who despise the American people, they have been desperately looking for a way to install themselves into permanent power and suspend elections indefinitely. Working backward from this goal, this outcome can only be accomplished by declaring martial law and suspending the US Constitution and democratic elections.

To declare martial law, they need widespread social chaos, with millions of people in the streets, wreaking havoc across the nation (the more havoc, the better for the Democrats as they attempt to justify martial law or the invocation of the Insurrection Act). But how do you anger people enough to convince millions of them to take to the streets?

You starve them out.

As I pointed out yesterday, America is just nine meals away from anarchy. That means nine missed meals, of course, and engineered food scarcity will ensure those meals are missed in the months ahead.

As people go hungry, anger will rise and they will take to the streets. As the chaos spreads, Biden’s handlers will respond with increasingly authoritarian police state responses. They’re already setting up the narrative by characterizing Americans who buy extra food as “hoarders,” by the way. This is just the beginning of what will soon be coming, including food rationing on a nationwide basis.

The food rationing will have to be enforced by tying food purchases to a person’s ID, which means we will soon have a nation where you don’t need an ID to vote, but you do need an ID to buy food. If this sounds infuriating, that’s the whole point. They want people to get mad and take to the streets, creating the backdrop for the deep state false flag operations that can be used to attempt nationwide gun confiscation and the rolling out of martial law.

Have no doubts that deep state operatives are right now prepping the fertilizer bomb trucks and chemical weapons stockpiles necessary to pull this off. As the crowds flood into the streets, the deep state will stage terrorism attacks to blame patriots, Christians, and the unvaccinated. The 2022 mid-terms will be suspended, and Biden might even plunge us into a theatrical war with China — which might even be staged — to declare a nationwide lockdown during “a time of war.”

There’s nothing they won’t do to stop the American people from throwing them out of power.

Mass starvation, mass depopulation via bioweapons, deep state chemical weapons attacks on the domestic population, engineered financial collapse… these are just a few of the weapons now at the disposal of America’s enemies within, and they have no hesitation whatsoever in using them to demonize their political opponents and shore up their authoritarian power, transforming America into a full-blown medical police state.

(Natural News) As many as nine million children in America today live in a household where they do not get enough to eat every day because their parents cannot afford it. The corrupt Amazon retail behemoth, meanwhile, is reportedly tossing perfectly good food in the trash due to an “excess.”

Jeff Bezos’ tech monopoly is throwing away thousands of pounds of food every single day, according to an anonymous whistleblower within the company who says the delivery giant is running an inefficient, unsustainable and highly wasteful business.

The insider says that every night at the Amazon Fresh fulfillment center where this person works, workers are instructed to throw away food that is dated days or even weeks out for its expiration. In other words, it is perfectly good food being thrown straight in the trash.

According to this same person, all Amazon warehouses are tossing perfectly good food, though the original post claiming this was altered due to fear by the individual that Amazon might try to sue if it could be shown that technically not all of them are doing this.

The insider wrote that “these food items are being scanned out as ‘exp-removal-donate,” but instead of actually being donated they are being trashed.

“These items are on the same list as our daily donations lists we have,” this person further revealed. “Canned, boxed, toiletry and other are donated accordingly but refrigerated and frozen are not at my facility at least.”

Amazon is evil

Because new product is constantly arriving, Amazon is ordering its employees to trash the old stock even when it is still fresh and non-expired. This is creating an incredible amount of waste, which is truly obscene considering how many people are struggling right now due to inflation and the collapse of the global supply chain.

“I have seen multiple pallets come in to the warehouse to be immediately thrown away as we did not have the storage capacity to store said product,” the insider added.

Instead of contacting local food banks to try to distribute all this food instead of wasting it, Amazon has decided to just toss it all in order to keep its profit margins high while creating what appears to be artificial scarcity.

“There are plenty of food banks and resources out there that are willing to pick up items in a refrigerated / frozen truck to disperse to ensure the items do not perish or go bad in transit,” the insider added.

Even more disturbing is the fact that Amazon also appears to be writing off all this wasted food as “donated” in order to receive a tax break on it. None of it is actually being donated, though, unless donating means shoving it all into a trash compactor before hauling it all off to the local dump.

“Insanely enough, this practice of destruction by Amazon is not uncommon. A similar whistleblower came out earlier this year and provided hidden camera footage which showed Amazon destroying products like smart TVs, laptops, drones, hairdryers, top of the range headphones, computer drives, books galore, thousands of sealed face masks – all sorted into boxes marked ‘destroy,'” added DC Clothesline in a report.

“Apparently, there isn’t any place to store the food and other items and rather than donate them to charity, Amazon destroys them.”

None of this is surprising, at least not to many people. Amazon probably would not even exist, after all, were it not for “cellar boxing” securities fraud by Wall Street against its competitors, but alas that is a different topic for a different time.

(Natural News) Retail shelves at CVS, Walgreens, and Duane Reade stores are now “virtually bare” in NYC, warns the UK Daily Mail in a Sunday news story. “Shelves in pharmacies across New York City have been left nearly barren because supplies are not getting through amid an ongoing global squeeze,” the paper reports, citing the collapse of the global supply chain.

The al Zahrani and the Deir Ammar power stations stopped working after supplies of diesel were apparently exhausted, and energy production dropped to below 200 megawatts.

The lack of diesel fuel is taking place due to a global transportation and logistics collapse that has been artificially engineered by COVID lockdowns. The goal of the globalists is the total extermination of humanity, and part of the process of achieving that goal is to destroy the infrastructure that keeps humanity alive (in addition to releasing engineered biological weapons and deliberately administering “vaccines” containing those bioweapons).

India now facing rolling blackouts as the global supply chain collapse extends its reach

In addition to China’s rolling blackouts that have so far affected 20 out of 31 Chinese provinces (and shuttered manufacturing across those areas), “A minister in Indian capital New Delhi warned Sunday that blackouts could rock the massive city over the next two days,” reports Zero Hedge. “But the nation’s capital city isn’t alone in suffering energy shortages: it joins two Indian states – Tamil Nadu and Odisha – which have issued warnings about the growing possibility of blackouts due to dwindling coal supplies.”

According to Delhi’s Power Minister Satyendra Jain, more than half of India’s 135 coal-fired power plants, which supply around 70% of the country’s electricity, have seen their stocks depleted to such low levels that they only have enough to guarantee power for three days before the capital city is hit with blackouts. Typically, they’re supposed to keep a buffer supply of at least one month. But these aren’t normal times.

“If coal supply doesn’t improve, there will be a blackout in Delhi in two days,” the national capital’s Power Minister Satyendra Jain said today. “The coal-fired power plants that supply electricity to Delhi have to keep a minimum coal stock of one month, but now it has come down to one day,” Mr Jain said.

The South China Morning Post recently documented China’s collapsing power grid, explaining that, “China’s army of small and medium-sized manufacturers (SMEs) have been hit hard by the nationwide power crisis, with outputs slashed and sweltering working conditions taking their toll, while panic buying of raw materials and goods is becoming commonplace over fears prices are set to soar.”

Factories are being shuttered due to the lack of energy, causing China’s domestic productivity to plunge. From the SCMP:

“Some factories are even being banned from producing [any goods] for six days after operating for only one day. It sounds so ridiculous, but it‘s true.”

Mainstream media tries to trick the public with “new math” about vaccine-injured people in the hospitals

To try to hide the full extent of vaccine injuries and deaths now taking place around the world, the lying mainstream media is making statements such as, “Nearly 13% of hospital patients with confirmed Covid were unvaccinated.” This means, of course, that 87% of hospital patients were previously vaccinated.

Scandinavian nations ban the use of Moderna’s covid vaccine in younger people

Due to alarming numbers of young people suffering myocarditis, blood clots, and heart attacks, Sweden, Denmark, and now Finland have all banned the Moderna covid vaccine in younger age groups (anyone under 30 in one case).

The US, UK, and Canada, meanwhile, are happy to keep murdering young people with vaccines since that helps achieve their global depopulation agenda. Somehow, scientists in Scandinavian countries aren’t yet all-in with the depopulation plandemic scheme. More details here.

Energy and power grids rapidly collapsing in Asia and Europe

In China, 21 out of 30 provinces are now experiencing rolling blackouts as power generation bandwidth crumbles due to shortages of coal. According to the South China Morning Post, some factories are currently operating just one day per week.

US coal production can’t keep up with global demand, which continues to soar. Meanwhile, the natural gas shortage/price increase across Europe has fertilizer producers reeling. Many have shut down, and just two days ago, Germany’s largest ammonia plant slashed its output and is warning it may have to shutter the entire operation.

The upshot is that skyrocketing energy prices (and outages) are going to thrust millions of people across Europe and China into poverty as manufacturing is heavily impacted. The coming winter won’t be easy to handle without affordable heat, either.

The natural gas shortage/price spike is also affecting greenhouse food production across Europe. This, in addition to the fertilizer plants shutting down, means Europe will face extreme food scarcity following the 2022 harvest. This will extend into the Fall of 2022 and may continue long after.

Colorado health care system orders woman to DIE from lack of a kidney transplant because she won’t take the spike protein injection

The University of Colorado Health system is now operating in full-blown “death panel” mode, removing a woman from a kidney transplant list because she won’t take the spike protein injection.

Apparently, in order to receive an organ transplant in Colorado, you must first destroy your healthy organs with a bioweapon injection. Only then are you allowed to receive replacement organs, most of which are probably already contaminated with spike protein nanoparticles themselves.

Kidneys are routinely damaged by vaccines, of course, due to the mercury content found in some flu shots as well as aluminum adjuvants. So the vaccine industry damages your kidneys, driving you to a transplant, then orders you to take yet more toxic injections in order to receive the transplant.

(Natural News) The so-called Dark Winter is actually a die-off plan to exterminate humanity, and the vectors of attack against human beings include mass vaccination genocide, engineered food supply collapse (leading to mass starvation), financial sector disruptions and an accelerating supply collapse of energy (gasoline, natural gas) needed to heat homes, make fertilizer and power transportation.

We are also watching in horror as this accelerating collapse bleeds into shipping and delivery companies (like FedEx) who are just about on the brink of suspending major services due to a lack of competent workers.

Meanwhile, 70+ container ships are stacked up outside the Los Angeles port, as criminal governors like Newsom deliberately worsen the supply line restrictions by enforcing senseless covid lockdowns that deprive the ports of desperately needed workers.

You are probably already noticing the grocery shortages that are rapidly spreading across North America. Grocers, school districts and food manufacturers that typically order large quantities of food supplies are seeing their orders cut by up to 50% in terms of actual delivery. At the commercial level, in other words, the food supply has already collapsed by nearly 50%. This is only now beginning to trickle into the retail sector of the food industry, where grocers are desperately trying to fill empty shelves with something — anything — just to avoid looking like they’re out of stock.

Under Biden and the covid tyrants, America is being rapidly transformed into Venezuela. This is not a coincidence. Yet many Americans are still stuck in denial, pretending things will all just “get back to normal” if enough people take deadly spike protein injections.

Today Joe Biden claimed that 98% of Americans would need to get vaccinated before we can return to normal. It’s obvious they’re gearing up to enforce vaccine mandates at gunpoint to try to hit that 98% target, at which point they will of course blame the remaining 2% for all the post-vaccine injuries and deaths among the 98%.

Remember when the goal was just 70%? Remember when we were told that “herd immunity” would protect us if we could get the majority of people vaccinated? Now that’s been thrown out the window, right along with the concept of natural immunity which the insane left-wing media now calls a “dangerous theory.”

Thus, globalists cutting off food, fuel, power, and banking transactions for a mere 90 days would likely achieve a huge die-off — perhaps 70% of the population or so, since the masses are completely oblivious to even the most basic survival skills. As you’ll notice, the food supply is being cut off right now. The power grid is being shut off in China. Fuel supplies are collapsing in the UK. Hospitals are collapsing to the point where National Guard troops are now being deployed to replace the health care workers who were fired for refusing to get jabbed. The State of New York is expected to declare a state of emergency due to these hospital staffing shortages — all of which the government caused itself!

(Natural News) A new BBC documentary has exposed Nestlé for deliberately polluting the food supplies of those who live in the Amazon rainforest, causing an epidemic of childhood obesity.

To get the indigenous people groups of South America’s pristine jungles hooked on junk food, Nestlé has been sending in “floating supermarkets” filled with processed, highly addictive garbage, which has spiked the obesity rate more than 150 percent since 2002.

Children as young as seven years old are now battling “first world” diseases like obesity and diabetes, thanks to Nestlé. This in turn benefits Big Pharma as well by funneling a whole new generation and market straight into lifelong dependency on pharmaceuticals.

Entitled, “What Are We Feeding Our Kids?” the documentary takes a closer look at the bodily impact of “children’s” foods like chicken nuggets, pizza, and frozen meals. It turns out that such foods create sluggishness, anxiety, and even brain damage, similar to the effects of consuming alcohol.

In some of the remotest areas of Brazil, children are becoming “more and more” obese, says Lizete do Carmo Tenório Novaes, a head school teacher. She directly attributes this epidemic to Nestlé’s floating supermarkets.

“I’ve been to the Amazon several times as a doctor, ten or twelve years ago, in quite remote places and really I just can’t remember ever seeing anyone who was overweight,” stated host Chris van Tulleken.

“I want to find out, are the children here becoming overweight? In a culture, an environment, where historically it has been calorically quite poor – what happens when you flood them with masses of what we would call processed, industrialized food?”

Exporting the Standard American Diet (SAD) to other countries is killing the world’s children

Up until fairly recently, most of the food consumed by Amazonians was minimally processed. Correspondingly, almost nobody in the region was overweight or obese – that is until Nestlé invaded the area’s remote jungles.

Now, young men like Leo, who is featured in the film, are growing female-type breasts and love handles, rather than the muscle tissue they need to be strong and vibrant.

This is what happens when people switch from a natural diet to one composed of refined sugar, processed flour, chemical colorings, artificial preservatives and other toxins.

Since then, van Tulleken stumbled across a local church organization that is trying to help fight the obesity epidemic by teaching locals, and especially young children, about the importance of avoiding processed foods. It is often an uphill battle, though, once a person becomes addicted to junk.

“Sometimes I tell him not to eat it but he comes and buys it anyway,” Leo’s mother revealed about her son’s new eating habits. “He does eat vegetables but he doesn’t like them very much. I don’t know why. He’d rather eat junk food.”

The so-called “Standard American Diet,” also known as SAD, is perhaps the worst thing to ever happen to the Amazon culture. Future generations of Amazonians will now be afflicted by the Trojan Horse of quick and easy junk food that Nestlé fomented on them.

“We do have some cases but it’s not the majority and we want to control it and stop it from progressing,” Leo’s mom added about the obesity problem in her area, which is thankfully not yet – and hopefully never will be – the norm.

At the same time, the past 15 years has marked a lot of changes in eating habits throughout the region. More industrialized products have arrived, whereas in the past people used to eat mainly fish, shrimp, red meat, chicken, and other fresh foods.
