Even though the proceedings have ended, the former president’s legal fate has not yet been revealed. Closing arguments will be made in front of the trial judge, Arthur Engoron, next week.

In addition to wanting the large sum from Trump, she is also fighting to bar him and his sons from conducting any further business in The Empire State.

Trump’s lawyer, Christopher M. Kise, responded to the brief on Friday. He referred to the new amount as “unconscionable, unsupported by the evidence, untethered from reality and unconstitutionally excessive.”

“Every single member of the New York business community, no matter the sector, should be gravely concerned with this gross overreach and brazen attempt by the attorney general to exert limitless power where no private or public harm has ever been established,” a Trump Organization spokeswoman said.

Trump maintains that his assets were genuinely valued and he has since denied any misconduct, stating on numerous occasions that there were disclaimers in his financial statements. He also requested that the banks review the figures.

New York Attorney General Letitia James is now demanding that Donald J. Trump pay up $370 million in penalties for what she claims is retribution for “decades” of financial fraud.

When James first sued Trump in the fall of 2022, she asked the judge that Trump be penalized $250 million for “inflating his net worth in order to retain better loans” from banks. Her number rose to $370 million on Friday, as she now believes that through the trial, he gained all of his money unlawfully.

The fraud trial began in October 2023 and the proceedings concluded last month.

45th President Donald J. Trump’s legal team has filed an appeal to the United States Supreme Court (SCOTUS) to overturn the Colorado Supreme Court ruling removing the former president from the state’s GOP primary ballot.

On Wednesday, his lawyers issued a filing stating that the 14th Amendment’s “insurrection clause” was not valid in this situation and urged the justices to “return the right to vote for their candidate of choice to the voters.”

“This Court should grant certiorari to consider this question of paramount importance, summarily reverse the Colorado Supreme Court’s ruling, and return the right to vote for their candidate of choice to the voters,” attorneys for the former president wrote in the filing.

The Colorado Supreme Court disqualified Trump from the state’s primary ballot on December 19th in a 4-3 decision.

They claimed that he violated Section 3 of the 14th Amendment for allegedly inciting a U.S. Capitol breach on January 6th, 2021. However, presidents do not fall under the jurisdiction of Section 3 of the 14th Amendment as they are not an “officer of the United States.”

Even though this is a high-profile litigation, the SCOTUS is not required to take the case. Without the highest court in the nation intervening, states are allowed to ban Trump from the ballot.

Maryland: Marxist Teachers Union official makes list of wealthy Jews she calls ‘gluttons and thieves,’ blames Trump

“Fear is leading to censorship. I hope this person gets anti-imperialism and joins us in the struggle … No war but class war!”

No Marxist should be getting anywhere near our schools, but today they’re in control. Meanwhile, this hate-filled creature epitomizes how the Left’s identification with the “Palestinian” jihad — which they cast as a struggle of the brown oppressed against the white oppressor — leads to open Jew hatred.

“Teachers Union Official Compiled List Of Nearby Wealthy Jews, Calling Them ‘Gluttons And Thieves,’” by Luke Rosiak, DailyWire.com, December 4, 2023:

A Maryland teacher is on leave while the school system investigates her for a string of anti-Semitic social media posts that included creating a list of wealthy Jews in her county, claiming they horde wealth while contributing nothing to society, and calling for “class war.”

Angela Wolf is head of the English Language Development department, which caters to immigrant children, at Takoma Park Middle School, in the most leftist enclave of liberal Montgomery County. Though she was temporarily removed from school, she remains a board member of the Montgomery County Education Association, one of the largest teachers union locals in the country representing 14,000 staff.

Her Facebook posts included a drawing of an Israeli tank pointing a tank gun at babies in a hospital NICU, and saying “Enemy in sight!” As the war wages against the Hamas terrorists who murdered over 1,200 Israelis on October 7, she has posted frequently against Israel. On November 16, she commended “bus operators at Dulles who refused to transport Zionists to the pro-Israel rally,” adding that “their solidarity with the victims of Israeli genocide should be commended.”

On October 28, she shared a post saying, “It is not a war — it is a slaughter. Israel determined to make Gaza uninhabitable.”

In December 2020, well before the conflict in Israel, she wrote:

Four of the five billionaires she named are Jewish except Saul, who happens to have a common Jewish name.

In response to criticism, she claimed — referring the the group of people with names like Rubenstein — that she had “no idea these billionaires are Jewish or that my word choice had an [sic] historic significance for the Jewish community. The diatribe against these two words has turned the discussion into a fallacious attack … People are angry at teachers a particular politician or the poor. I have read no attacks on the 1% … who have NOT ‘earned’ ‘their wealth.’”

She said “They use their accumulated wealth to further their own interests” and blamed their hoarding for students falling behind while teachers unions refused to work because of COVID. “There should be little question that staying home should NOT equal mental health crises for kids and communities angry because school staff also need to be home,” she wrote.

When someone else criticized her for her anti-Semitic posts, she responded by calling former President Donald Trump a “scumbag” and said, “Fear is leading to censorship. I hope this person gets anti-imperialism and joins us in the struggle … No war but class war!”…

Biden regime DoJ ordered sweep of Twitter data for everyone who liked, followed or retweeted Trump

I warned you this was a fascist regime. And it is.

“DOJ Ordered Sweep of Trump’s Twitter Data for Everyone Who ‘Liked, Followed or Retweeted’ Trump,” by Steve Brown, Trending Politico, November 29, 2023:

Attorneys for the Justice Department have revealed documents connected to their search warrant for Donald Trump’s Twitter account, indicating that prosecutors collected a massive collection of data about the former President’s social media activity—including information on every account that liked, followed, or retweeted him.

The extensively redacted search warrant was revealed as a result of a judge’s ruling on November 17, which came after a consortium of media organizations filed an application in August for the warrant and other data to be made public.

Twitter appears to have provided the DOJ with vast volumes of material under compulsion.

Indeed, Special Counsel Jack Smith sought, and appears to have gotten, information on all users Trump followed, unfollowed, muted, unmuted, blocked, or unblocked, as well as all users who followed, unfollowed, muted, unmuted, blocked, or unblocked Trump.

Smith also requested that Twitter provide information on “all lists of Twitter users who have favorited or retweeted tweets posted by [Trump], as well as all tweets that include the username associated with the account (i.e., ‘mentions’ or ‘replies’).”

The DOJ’s request also wanted information on Trump’s geolocation, private messages, search history, and contact information. More outrageously, prosecutors allegedly wanted to know his pronouns, as reported by Headline USA in August, when court transcripts relating to the Twitter-DOJ battle became available.

The warrant’s release comes after Twitter objected to the search warrant as well as an accompanying gag order, claiming that the gag order violated the company’s First Amendment right to communicate with Trump and that Trump may have legal standing to use executive privilege to block the warrant.

Twitter’s challenge to the DOJ was eventually unsuccessful, with Obama-appointed District Judge Beryl Howell fining the firm $350,000 in February for failing to fulfill a deadline for complying with the order.

All of Howell’s rulings were upheld by an appeals court.

Justice Department attorneys have since released records related to their search warrant for Donald Trump’s Twitter account, revealing that prosecutors obtained a vast trove of data about the former President’s social media activity—including info on every account to like, follow, or retweet him.

The heavily redacted search warrant was released Monday pursuant to a Nov. 17 judge’s order, which was made after a coalition of media groups filed an application in August for the warrant and other records to be made public.

From the looks of it, Twitter forked over massive amounts of information to the DOJ.

Indeed, Special Counsel Jack Smith sought, and apparently ultimately received, all users Trump followed, unfollowed, muted, unmuted, blocked, or unblocked—as well as all users who have followed, unfollowed, muted, unmuted, blocked, or unblocked Trump.

Additionally, Smith demanded Twitter data on “all lists of Twitter users who have favorited or retweeted tweets posted by [Trump], as well as all tweets that include the username associated with the account (i.e., ‘mentions’ or ‘replies’).”…

Presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy’s top aide has resigned and is joining former President Donald Trump’s campaign.

Multiple sources familiar with the move told the press that Brian Swensen has resigned from his position as national political director in the Ramaswamy campaign and has now joined the 45th president’s team.

Tricia McLaughlin, Ramaswamy’s communications director, told the press that they “love Brian” and that “it is a good move for him.”

McLaughlin also stated that the former director’s responsibilities would now be handled by Senior Adviser Mike Biundo.

“He was primarily based in New Hampshire, and about a month and a half ago Mike Biundo came on as a national senior adviser and has largely been absorbing Brian’s role, so this is not — does not come as a surprise to anyone,” McLaughlin said.

Swensen’s decision came after the Ramaswamy team’s director, Brandon Goodyear, also stepped away from the campaign earlier this month.

According to media reports, Thursday will be Swensen’s last day working for the Ramaswamy campaign.

At this moment, it is unclear what his role will be once he joins Trump’s team.

House Speaker Mike Johnson has affirmed his support for 45th President Donald J. Trump’s 2024 campaign.

During an interview on Tuesday, Johnson (R-La.) said he already has endorsed Trump wholeheartedly and was one of the closest allies he had in Congress.

“I’m all in for President Trump and I expect he will be our nominee,” Johnson stated. “We have to make Biden a one-term president.”

He hailed Trump’s first term as ‘phenomenal’ and said the United States had the greatest economic numbers in the world during the first two years of his presidency.

Johnson stressed that Trump is a far superior choice to Biden, especially when taking into account their contrasting principles and policies.

The speaker also dismissed the ongoing criminal cases against the former president. Johnson said that the lawsuits are motivated by political prosecutions and that they are just another way to go after him.

Insider sources say that Maryanne Trump Barry, a former federal judge and the older sister of former President Donald Trump, has passed away at 86.

According to ABC News, she was found in her Fifth Avenue apartment at around four in the morning. There were no indications of trauma or malevolence.

The sources also added that emergency personnel had attended to a call from “a person experiencing cardiac arrest.”

Up until her retirement in 2019, Barry served as a senior judge on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. In 1983, then-President Ronald Reagan appointed her to the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey. Later, in 1999, then-President Bill Clinton nominated her to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.

Barry retired around the same time that a probe commenced into possible misconduct over her father’s and siblings’ allegedly illicit tax and financial activities. However, the investigation ended without a conclusion when she retired in February 2019.

Now, three out of the four siblings of former President Trump have passed away. His youngest brother, Robert Trump, passed away in August 2020 at the age of 71. In September 1981, Fred Trump Jr., at just 42 years old, passed away after a heart attack.

When Mary Trump, the former president’s niece, revealed in her book and made public audio recordings of her aunt Maryanne criticizing her younger brother, the connection between the former president and his eldest sister deteriorated towards the end of Trump’s administration.

However, sources told ABC News that the siblings had been working to make things right and had even seen each other as recently as last summer at Trump’s Bedminster, New Jersey, club.

Former President Donald Trump issued a strong statement in support of Israel after Hamas launched the largest attack in decades into the southern parts of Israel.

“The Hamas terrorist invasion of Israeli territory and the murder of Israeli soldiers today and the brutal murder of citizens is an act of savagery that must and will be crushed,” Trump told Iowa caucus-goers in Waterloo Saturday afternoon.

Trump was speaking at a Commit to Caucus event in Black Hawk County, a major Democrat stronghold in Iowa when he made the remarks.

“It has to be dealt with very powerfully,” Trump said. “This is a time where the United States needs leadership. We don’t have leadership, but Israel is at war. And the United States obviously is going to stick with Israel, and strongly.”

Hamas militants had launched thousands of rockets into Israeli towns near the Gaza Strip in a surprise assault Saturday morning. They also sent in soldiers who slaughtered dozens. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the country was “at war.”

Trump took aim at the Biden administration for unfreezing $6 billion in Iranian assets before Hamas attacked Israel.

“I would not be at all surprised if part of that tremendous wealth that they just accumulated went into, all of a sudden, watching this level of aggression,” Trump said. “They didn’t have that level of aggression with me.”

This move came as part of a prisoner swap deal that permitted the transfer of money held in a South Korean bank to accounts in Qatar. The Biden administration has claimed that the money will only be allowed to be used for humanitarian purposes, but national security expert Clare Lopez, founder of Lopez Liberty LLC, explained why that may not be true.

“Money’s fungible and were that money to be used for let’s say humanitarian purposes,” Lopez told One America News. “That frees up another $6 billion some other place that will unmistakably, unarguably go to nuclear weapons production. It will go to terror support Islamic jihad groups in the Middle East and, and further abroad.”

Trump emphasized what he believed to be a key point.

“This would have never happened with me there,” Trump said.

Trump is leading his primary competitors by more than 30 percent in Iowa, according to RealClearPolitics polling Average.

Trump Blasts Biden: US ‘Taxpayer Dollars Helped Fund These Attacks’ on Israel

By Eric Mack    |   Saturday, 07 October 2023 10:57 AM EDT

Former President Donald Trump not only condemned Hamas for the terrorist attacks on Israel, but he also reminded Americans that President Joe Biden's $6 billion payment to Iran ultimately "helped fund these attacks."

"These Hamas attacks are a disgrace and Israel has every right to defend itself with overwhelming force," Trump wrote in a statement Saturday morning. "Sadly, American taxpayer dollars helped fund these attacks, which many reports are saying came from the Biden Administration."

Trump has long hailed himself as a pro-Israel president and added the Abraham Accords made progress for peace in the Middle East, but have been "whittled away" by the Biden administration's Iran appeasement policies.

"We brought so much peace to the Middle East through the Abraham Accords, only to see Biden whittle it away at a far more rapid pace than anyone thought possible," Trump's statement, also posted to Truth Social, continued. "Here we go again."

Mexican President Calls Biden’s Border Wall a Publicity Stunt

Mexican President Calls Biden's Border Wall a Publicity Stunt
Townhall Media/Julio Rosas
During his regular morning presser on Friday, Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador said he does not think that the new border wall will even be built, adding that the Biden administration doesn’t even want to build it.

According to the Washington Free Beacon, Lopez Obrador called the wall “pure publicity.” That presser followed a Thursday visit by a delegation from the U.S. State Department, which was led by Antony Blinken. Lopez Obrador commented that the administration does not even want to build the new sections of the wall. He added that during the meeting, the Mexican delegation said it does not believe the migration problem will be solved with a wall, saying, “We’ve always spoken about tending to the root causes.”

Lopez Obrador has a point. In another story, the Free Beacon said that on Thursday, Biden stated that the administration is legally obligated to go through with the construction since the money for the project had been appropriated during the Trump administration and could not be used for anything else. Biden stated:

The money was appropriated for the border wall. I tried to get them to redirect that money. They didn’t. They wouldn’t, and in the meantime, there’s nothing under the law other than they have to use the money for what it was appropriated. I can’t stop that.

This stands in stark contrast to DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas’ statement earlier in the week in which he said there was “an acute and immediate need to construct physical barriers and roads in the vicinity of the border of the United States in order to prevent unlawful entries.” Of course, that statement stands in stark contrast to one he made in 2021 that he did not agree with building a wall.

Never one to pass up an opportunity for a good old-fashioned tantrum, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) vented her spleen on Thursday, calling the planned construction a “cruel policy.”

I know that the congresswoman objects to the wall on principle, but she should reconsider. It is after Labor Day, and she needs someplace where she can wear that white dress for photo ops.

What we are seeing here is a classic example of this administration’s disorganization. It may be conjecture, but I suspect that when Biden’s people learned that the funding situation was non-negotiable, they needed a way to spin it, hence Mayorkas’ alarmist language. The administration may have thought that this was an opportunity to woo voters who are wary or angry about the president and his record, with the bonus of being able to tweak Trump by completing something he did not.

Then the wall would not be completed, and the blame would fall on Republican obstructionists. But someone, somewhere, realized that renewed construction would infuriate much of the base, although Gov. Kathy Hochul (D-N.Y.) may have privately gotten her hopes up. And so tactics were switched, gears were ground, and the message was reversed.

And no matter what, the wall will not be built.

United States General Mark Milley slammed Trump during his farewell speech saying that  troops take an oath to the Constitution and not to a “wannabe dictator.”

On Friday, the now-former general gave his final speech during his retirement ceremony at Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall in Arlington, Virginia. Milley used his final speech as Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff to underline that troops take an oath to the Constitution, not a “wannabe dictator,” only days after former President Donald Trump recommended the nation’s highest officer be punished for his actions under the Trump Administration.

“We don’t take an oath to a king, or a queen, or to a tyrant or dictator, and we don’t take an oath to a wannabe dictator,” Milley said. “We don’t take an oath to an individual. We take an oath to the Constitution, and we take an oath to the idea that is America, and we’re willing to die to protect it.”

The speech comes a week after the 45th president reportedly came after Milley on social media over reports that he had contacted his Chinese counterpart during the Trump administration to let them know that the U.S. was not planning to attack.

In a speech last Friday, Trump had called the chairman “a Woke train wreck who, if the Fake News reporting is correct, was actually dealing with China to give them a heads up on the thinking of the President of the United States.”

“This is an act so egregious that, in times gone by, the punishment would have been DEATH!” Trump continued.

As a response, Milley had told the press that he was taking adequate safety precautions to ensure his and his family’s safety.

“I wish those comments had not been made, and I’ll take appropriate measures to ensure my safety and the safety of my family,” Milley said.

Not only did the general give his farewell speech but President Joe Biden also spoke at the retirement ceremony.

The 46th president took his time on stage to address the possible government shutdown stating that if the House fails to fund the government it would be failing troops who would still show up without getting paid.

He also added how the longer the shutdown lasts, the harder it would become for military families to be able to pay their bills.

“It’s a disgrace, you can’t be playing politics when our troops stand in the breach,” Biden said. “It’s an absolute dereliction of duty.”

Biden finished his speech with a tribute to Senator Dianne Feinstein, whose passing had been announced that morning, saying she was a historic figure and the country is going to “miss her dearly.”

“She was a historic figure, trailblazer for women, and a great friend. Dianne made her mark on everything from national security to the environment, gun safety to protecting civil liberties,” Biden said. “The country is going to miss her dearly, and so will Jill and I.”

Milley received his retirement certificate, ending a nearly four-decade career that included appointments as Army chief of staff and commanding general of the United States Army Forces Command.

At the ceremony, the general handed down his title to his successor, General Charles Q. Brown Jr.

IRS Contractor Charged With Stealing Trump’s Tax Returns

IRS Contractor Charged With Stealing Trump's Tax Returns and Leaking Them to the Press

IRS Contractor Charged With Stealing Trump's Tax Returns and Leaking Them to the Press
(IRS)
Have no fear, America. Your tax return information is safe and secure. IRS computers are better protected than Fort Knox. All IRS employees have impeccable morals and are honest as the day is long. It’s the IRS contractors you’ve got to worry about.

One IRS contractor, Charles Littlejohn, 38, of Washington, D.C., has been charged with stealing the IRS files of former President Donald Trump and thousands of other wealthy, prominent taxpayers. Littlejohn worked for the IRS as a contract employee from 2018 to 2020.

While employed as an IRS contractor, Littlejohn allegedly stole “tax returns and return information associated with Public Official A” and disclosed that information to a media outlet. A source told numerous news outlets that “Public Official A” is Donald Trump.

Politico reports that “the charges were filed as a [sic] ‘criminal information’ rather than an indictment.” This usually indicates that a plea deal has been struck. Littlejohn is on the hook for a five-year prison sentence for revealing the tax information — a small price to pay for such a massive breach of the public trust.

Curiously — or, perhaps, not curiously — there hasn’t been a word about the entire affair from the Biden administration. I guess it doesn’t give a hoot about privacy.

The leak astonished many IRS veterans, not just because of its sheer scale, but because tax filings are subject to elaborate safeguards and unauthorized disclosures are rare.

Adding to the mystery was the silence of Biden administration officials, who had said virtually nothing publicly about the leak or how it had happened. Republicans accused Democrats of disclosing the information in hopes of fueling their push in Congress to raise taxes on the rich.

At the same time, one of the people whose records were leaked — Ken Griffin, a prominent hedge fund manager — sued the IRS for failing to protect his tax filings. In court, the administration argued there was no evidence that leak came from a government employee.

IRS Commissioner Danny Werfel said in a statement, “Any disclosure of taxpayer information is unacceptable.”

“The IRS has put in place new protocols and protections that tightened security, and our aggressive work in this critical area continues in order to protect the tax and financial information of taxpayers.”

Horse. Barn door. Egg on face.

Sen. Mike Crapo (R-Idaho), the top Republican on the Finance Committee, said, “While many questions remain, at the very least, IRS guardrails failed to prevent this brazen breach of taxpayer rights.”

“It goes without saying that resolving these and other ongoing security issues at the IRS, as well as identifying and making whole the individuals impacted by this breach, must be the IRS’s highest priority.”

Some Republicans are asking the IRS, “What took so long to find this guy”?

New York Times:

The leaks provided fresh fodder for critics of the I.R.S. who for years have accused the agency of acting with political motivations and being reckless with taxpayer data.

The slow pace of the investigation put I.R.S. and Biden administration officials on the defensive at congressional hearings over the last two years, as they were able to offer no information about how such sensitive data could escape.

“I really am anxious to see some results here as well,” Treasury Secretary Janet L. Yellen said at a hearing in May 2022. “I regret that I’m not able to do so.”

Yeah. I’ll bet.

A judge has found 45th President Donald J. Trump liable for fraud in New York City. Trump’s family was quick to come to his defense and call out the “corruption.”

On Tuesday, Judge Arthur Engoron refused to dismiss New York Attorney General Letitia James’s lawsuit against the former president.

She claims that Trump and his family business inflated their wealth on financial records in an effort to benefit from “better loan terms” and lower insurance premiums.

According to Judge Engoron, the GOP hopeful’s primary estate, Mar-a-Lago, is worth “around $18 million.”

Eric Trump, the former president’s son, responded to the news on the platform X, formerly known as Twitter, when it was revealed that Judge Engoron had placed a low valuation on Mar-a-Lago.

Eric Trump quickly refuted the judge’s assertion and provided images of other homes that are for sale in the same neighborhood as the famed Mar-a-Lago property.

All of the other properties that he included were much smaller and not close to the water, unlike his father’s home.

Trump’s eldest son, Donald Trump Jr., also pointed out an empty lot in the affluent neighborhood that is down the street from Mar-a-Lago and how it is currently on sale for $150 million.

The attorney general has had a lengthy history of claiming that the former president has committed money fraud. She first sued Trump in 2020.

At the time, James claimed that Trump was “exaggerating his wealth up by $3 billion.”

As part of his Tuesday ruling, Judge Engoron ordered that some of Trump’s business licenses be rescinded.

Doing so would make it nearly impossible for the Trump Organization to operate business in New York. Additionally, Trump would have to assign an independent, third-party monitor to oversee Trump Organization operations.
