Despite mail-in voting and ballot harvesting and a host of other perfectly legal ways to tilt the playing field, could Old Joe Biden lose in November? If a Tuesday New York Times story is to be believed, the answer is a resounding yes, and among the most worrying is the senescent corruptocrat’s old friend and mentor, Barack Obama.

“Old friend and mentor,” as is well known, is largely an image manufactured for public consumption. Obama has actually taken the measure of his aged former wingman, and has famously warned: “Don’t underestimate Joe’s ability to f**k things up.” If the Times story is accurate, and not just another signal that the Democrat establishment is ready to send Biden to a much-needed retirement, Obama is deeply worried that Old Joe is going to demonstrate his remarkable ability to mess things up in the coming rematch with Trump, and is ready to step in and lend his expertise to the cause of inflicting Biden on America for four more years.

Biden’s ability to ruin everything has been on abundant display over the last three-plus years, and so, the Times says, Obama has been having frequent phone conversations with White House chief of staff Jeffrey D. Zients, “to strategize and relay advice.” These calls, the Times insists, demonstrate “Mr. Obama’s support for Mr. Biden,” but the Paper of the Record concedes that they also indicate Obama’s “grave concern that Mr. Biden could lose to former President Donald J. Trump.” This unnamed aide says that this is nothing new: Obama has “always” feared that Old Joe might pull his biggest bungling act in the upcoming election. The aide added Obama is ready to do what he can to help the bungler “eke it out” in several swing states.

And so, “in a sign of things to come, they are to appear together, with former President Bill Clinton, at a major fund-raiser for the Biden campaign at Radio City Music Hall in New York on Thursday.” That will likely draw in some big money from deep-pocketed leftists, but will it bring Old Joe any votes? Everyone can see what a hash Biden has made of the presidency, and the nation, since January 20, 2021. Obama may still have considerable star power among the Democrat party’s far-left base, but aside from Muslims enraged over Biden’s public (albeit hollow) support for Israel, that base was going to vote for Old Joe anyway.

Still, Obama’s intervention is an indication of how worried he is that Bad Orange Man could return to the White House. The Times reviews the checkered history of the Biden/Obama relationship, going back to 2015, when Biden (who is, after all, a famously shameless liar) claims that the lame-duck Obama told him that if he “could appoint anyone to be president for the next eight years,” he would have picked Joe. If this was a true story, and it probably wasn’t, it indicated yet another serious lapse in judgment on Obama’s part, and Obama himself may have realized it, since he reportedly annoyed Biden’s team with his strong support for Hillary in 2016.

The Times claims that “several of them work in the White House today, and they believe that Mr. Obama and his advisers sidelined Mr. Biden, whom they think could have changed the course of history and beaten Mr. Trump in 2016.” Yeah, the course of history would have been changed, all right: we would be in an even greater fix than we are now. In any case, Old Joe and Barack patched things up when the Scranton Kleptocrat entered the race against the hated Trump in 2019, and the rest is history, albeit it is a sad, shameful, sorrowful history of a nation in freefall.

That freefall, however, is one that Barack Obama largely set in motion. Biden has just built on the damage Obama did. It was Obama’s White House that first betrayed Israel at the United Nations when it abstained on a bill denouncing Israeli settlements in Judea (which means “land of the Jews”) and Samaria, known today as the West Bank. It was Obama who first showered billions on the Iranian mullahs who financed Hamas, and Biden’s regime has just done it again. So it's no surprise that Obama would want to make sure that Biden continues to pretend to be president until he is a sprightly 86 years old: Biden’s legacy is Obama’s legacy. The two are forever intertwined in history. And, unfortunately, in American public life.

Islamist terror group ISIS has called for lone wolves to engage in a Ramadan massacre of Christians and Jews across the US, Europe and Israel.

Abu Hudhaifa al-Ansari, spokesperson for the evil extremists also known as Islamic State, sickeningly praised the horrendous Moscow terror attack that killed 140 people in Russia last week. On Thursday, the jihadists took to encrypted messaging app Telegram to call on “lone wolves” to target Christians and Jewish people, especially in the US, Europe, and Israel during the holy month of Ramadan.

The spokesperson also claimed that the presence of American troops in Iraq will “lead to more attacks from group”. It comes as he commemorates the 10-year anniversary of ISIS’ declaration of a caliphate in Iraq and Syria in 2014.

In an audio speech, he highlighted the global expansion of Islamic State. al-Ansar also terror organization Al-Qaeda for straying from their so-called .path', before claiming that Ramadan was the month of jihad.

The spokesperson also called on the members in Mozambique to “double attacks” and militants in the Philippines to “move operations into major cities”, in a chilling and worrying sign. He calls on the Mujahidin – those who engage in Jihad – and media leaders to obey their elders, and disseminate Islamic State’s message.

He concluded: “By Allah, this matter will be made possible.”…

The National Extreme Risk Protection Order Resource Center, which was just announced by the Biden administration, is the subject of an investigation that was prompted on Thursday morning by House Judiciary Committee Chairman Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio).

On Saturday, U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris announced its opening and the $750 million in funding allocated for the center.

Attorney General Merrick Garland highly applauded the center’s launch.

“The launch of the National Extreme Risk Protection Order Resource Center will provide our partners across the country with valuable resources to keep firearms out of the hands of individuals who pose a threat to themselves or others. "The establishment of the Center is the latest example of the Justice Department’s work to use every tool provided by the landmark Bipartisan Safer Communities Act to protect communities from gun violence,” Merrick said.

However, the co-founders of the John Hopkins Center for Gun Violence Solutions, Cassandra Crifasi and Joshua Horwitz, received a letter from Representative Jordan on Thursday.

“The Committee on the Judiciary is conducting oversight of the Department of Justice’s (DOJ) grant programs and operations, including the Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA). "We are aware that BJA has awarded you a taxpayer funded grant to operate the National Extreme Risk Protection Order (ERPO) Resource Center, which will support the effective implementation of state red flag laws. "The Committee has serious concerns about the infringement on due process and Second Amendment rights that red flag or extreme risk protection order laws enable,” Jordan’s letter read.

Jordan went on to stress in the letter the numerous issues with red flag laws, including the dangers they represent in due process.

“These laws are ripe for abuse as the list of individuals who can petition a court for an extreme risk protection is expansive. For example, in Hawaii, a former roommate or even a disgruntled employee can file for an extreme risk protection order. In California, a former roommate, employee, a former girlfriend, or even someone in a ‘dating relationship’ with an individual is able to file a petition for an extreme risk protection order. Additionally, many jurisdictions merely require that a showing of probable cause be met in order to seize an individual’s firearms and ammunition and to prohibit that individual from purchasing or possessing any firearms or ammunition. Probable cause is an astonishingly low standard to deprive an individual of his or her constitutional rights without an allegation of criminal activity or an opportunity for the individual to be heard. Currently, fifteen states have laws that will grant an extreme risk protection order using this low standard,” the letter continued.

Jordan then listed questions for which he must have responses by April 11th, 2024, at 5:00 p.m.:

  1. Explanations of how they are ensuring that funds that have already been distributed to jurisdictions “are following the constitutional and due process safeguards [set forward in the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act].”
  2. Explanation of how Crifasi and Horowitz’s office are “adhering to the provision of the law that requires penalties for abuse of the program.’”
  3. “All documents and communications from June 25th, 2022 to present between Executive Office of the President employees and Johns Hopkins Center for Gun Violence Solutions employees referring or relating to the National Extreme Risk Protection Order Resource Center.”
  4. “All documents and communications from June 25th, 2022 to present between DOJ employees and Johns Hopkins Center for Gun Violence Solutions employees referring to or relating to the National Extreme Risk Protection Order Resource Center.”

Jordan also clarified that the materials that Crifasi and Horowtiz turn in must contain records pertaining to the grant proposal for John Hopkins FY 2022, which seeks funding for an Extreme Risk Protective Order and Firearm Crisis Intervention Training and Technical Assistance Institute.
