Biden reportedly attempting to collapse Netanyahu government mid-war

Recall that the U.S. State Department funded a Leftist group that was behind chaotic protests in Israel against Netanyahu’s judicial reform last March. This and more makes it clear that Biden is no friend to Netanyahu. Biden also views Netanyahu as the “primary obstacle” to Israel changing “its military tactics in the Gaza Strip.” On a personal level, according to NBC News, Biden is hostile to Netanyahu:

“He just feels like this is enough,” one of the people said of the views expressed by Biden. “It has to stop.”…..

His descriptions of his dealings with Netanyahu are peppered with contemptuous references to Netanyahu as “this guy,” these people said. And in at least three recent instances, Biden has called Netanyahu an “a**hole,” according to three of the people directly familiar with his comments.

A core reason why Biden is now reportedly “attempting to force the ‘collapse’ of the Israeli government of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu” in the middle of a war against Hamas terrorists in Gaza:

Netanyahu has been a frequent obstacle to Democrats’ policies in the Middle East, starting with his opposition to President Barack Obama’s nuclear deal with Iran, and continuing into his opposition to Biden’s Palestinian state ideas.

Another reason is the dilemma Biden faces in light of the upcoming elections, given his dependence on the Muslim vote and the pressure he has been receiving from Muslim communities. By shifting attention to Israel and the Netanyahu government, Biden diverts scrutiny away from himself and creates an excuse for evading his responsibility to ally with Israel against jihad terror. He also gets to shift blame away from his administration for pouring money into the coffers of Iran. Under Obama, Iran — a main funder of Hamas — saw $33.3 billion dollars in backroom deals flow into its coffers. Under Biden, billions more flowed into Iran.

Creating a crisis to avert attention and responsibility has become a signature ploy of Democrats.

“Report: Biden Trying to Collapse Netanyahu Government, Mid-war,” by  Joel B. Pollak, Breitbart, March 11, 2024:

U.S. President Joe Biden is reportedly attempting to force the “collapse” of the Israeli government of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in the middle of a war against Hamas terrorists in Gaza and a potential war against Hezbollah in Lebanon.

Biden has been increasingly hostile to Netanyahu in his public remarks, recently saying that Netanyahu is “hurting” Israel more than he is helping it through his conduct of the war. (Netanyahu fired back, saying that Biden was “wrong.”)

Now, New York Magazine reports that the Biden administration is actively looking for ways to force Netanyahu’s right-wing coalition, which has been remarkably unified, to fall apart, which would bring about early elections. Report (original emphasis):

One Israeli expert frequently consulted by American officials says, “I have been asked by a serious administration figure what it is that will force the Netanyahu coalition to collapse." They were interested in the mechanics, what can we demand which will collapse his coalition.”

In the event the new American position over Netanyahu remained unclear, Vice-President Kamala Harris left no doubts in a Friday interview with CBS News, which asked “Are the Israelis at risk of losing U.S. aid if this continues?” Harris replied: “I think it’s important for us to distinguish or at least not conflate the Israeli government with the Israeli people.”….

80 signatories from 10 countries issue formal complaint to UN Human Rights Council over Sharia abuse of women

It isn’t often that you hear about formal complaints to the UN Human Rights Council (UNHRC) about the violation of women’s human rights occasioned by the Sharia. According to human rights activist Deepti Mahajan, who runs the Coalition CHINGARI, 80 signatories from the US, Canada, Israel, India, the UK, Austria, Australia, Netherlands, Russia, and South Africa signed a petition to the UN Human Rights Council (myself included).

CHINGARI advocates for Hindu girls and raises awareness about their abduction and forced conversion in Pakistan. The issue has been covered over the years at Jihad Watch. At least 1,000 Hindu and Christian girls are forcibly converted to Islam each year, despite growing awareness and even protests.

Mahajan stated that signatories include “Muslims, ex Muslim women and men, victims of Sharia, intellectuals, professors, journalists, and professionals.”

The complaint to the UNHRC was submitted in time for International Women’s Day, and the formal press release is below. You’ll notice the many themes covered by Jihad Watch on a regular basis. The UN Human Rights Council is “responsible for the promotion and protection of all human rights around the globe,” according to its own website, but fails repeatedly. INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY PRESS NOTE

SHARIA FORMALLY CHALLENGED AS VIOLATING WOMEN’S HUMAN RIGHTS BEFORE THE UNITED NATIONS (UN) HUMAN RIGHTS COMMISSION

Women, and men of all faiths from many countries, victims of terrorism, human rights defenders, professors, activists, and concerned persons have jointly and formally lodged a complaint before the United Nations (UN) Human Rights Council on the gross, reliably attested, and continuing pattern of the violation of women’s human rights caused by Sharia.

The complaint is not Islamophobic as, according to the UN, “criticism of the ideas, leaders, symbols or practices of Islam” is not in itself Islamophobia, and “international human rights law protects individuals, not religions.” The complaint is on the thematic and transnational topic of continuing violation of women’s human rights caused by three related issues: (a) violence against women, (b) Sharia, and (c) aspects of Islamic culture.  Based on extensive and irrefutable publicly available evidence, including UN documents and the lived experiences of women affected by Sharia, it draws attention to Sharia’s incompatibility with international human rights law, especially the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW) that came into force in 1981.  Some non-exhaustive examples are as follows:

Violence against women: Sharia-linked violence is inflicted upon women in the Middle East, Africa, Europe, and Asia.

This includes the recent extreme sexual violence committed against Israeli women in October 2023 by Hamas proven by the UN; the infliction of sexual slavery on Yezidi women by the Islamic State (IS); killing of Iranian women for not wearing the hijab; the trafficking, kidnapping, and conversion of Coptic Christian girls in Egypt; kidnapping of girls and women in Nigeria by Boko Haram; mass attacks on women in Germany in 2015; the rape of girls in the UK by the so-called ‘grooming gangs’; the forced conversion, kidnapping and murder of Hindu girls in India, Pakistan and Bangladesh to name a few.

Sharia: Statistical analysis demonstrates that 71% of the Qur’an’s text gives women lower status than men.  In the Hadith, 91% of the text about women state that a woman has a lower status than a man. Key Qur’anic verses sanction male violence to compel a woman’s ‘obedience’; allow child marriage and polygamy, discriminate in inheritance, and prohibit a Muslim woman from marrying a non-Muslim.

Islamic culture: Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) is widespread in parts of the Islamic world.  Immigration from Muslim countries has increased FGM in the West.  Islamic culture compels Muslim women to undergo unnecessary surgery to restore their hymen.  UN reports show how Islamic culture demeans women.   Islamic culture impedes women’s education in some parts of the world and blocks advancement for educated Muslim women.  Muslim women do not have equal opportunities to participate actively in sports and physical education and have poorer access to mosques as compared to Muslim men.  Head coverings for Muslim women are linked to complex security, health, educational, cultural, and civilizational issues.  Muslim leaders have also violated Muslim women’s reproductive right to choose the number of children by advocating the use of Muslim birth rates as a non-military strategy to conquer non-Muslim lands.  Warnings have come from ex-Muslim women because of this worldwide and the continuing pattern of Sharia violating women’s human rights.

Action requested: The Human Rights Council should:

i. Request a single consolidated response from the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), including one standardized, worldwide codification of the Sharia and an explanation as to why Sharia should not be considered a fundamental cause of violation of women’s human rights.

ii. Appoint two non-Muslim rapporteurs, one who is a Special Rapporteur on Freedom of Religion or Belief and the second, a Special Rapporteur on Violence against Women, to mandate them to work in a coordinated manner and report to the Human Rights Council on the following issues:

a. Submit a thematic report on the elements of Sharia that discriminate against and have negatively impacted the lives of Muslim and non-Muslim women.  The two rapporteurs should ensure that the views of ex-Muslim, reformist Muslim women, critics of Islam, and others impacted by these norms are the primary sources of data for this report.

b. Advise the Council if the elements of the Sharia are contrary to resolution 16/18 adopted by the Human Rights Council in 2011 which related to ‘combating intolerance, negative stereotyping and stigmatization of, and discrimination, incitement to violence and violence against, persons based on religion or belief’ as they relate to non-Muslims.

c. To work with and assist UN Women to determine the extent to which the elements of Sharia are the root cause of inequality and violence by extremist Muslims against women.

d. To determine if the word “kuffar” violates the UN definition of ‘hate speech.’

e. To work closely with UN Women and the Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women thereby enabling the Committee mentioned above to hold days of general discussion (DGDs) on ‘The Rights of Women and Girls to be protected against specific norms in the Sharia that violate CEDAW and other human rights treaties on women’ and to further enable the Committee to issue a General Recommendation to State parties.

iii. The Human Rights Council should consider the extent to which elements of Sharia have been demonstrated to cause crimes against humanity and gender apartheid against women, as recorded in its 2016 report on ISIS crimes against Yazidis, and the joint report by the Special Rapporteur for Afghanistan and the Working Group on discrimination against women and girls.  Based on these reports, it should contribute to ongoing discussions towards a universal treaty on crimes against humanity and the need to include specific elements of the Sharia as risk factors that heighten the likelihood of such crimes against women.

iv. The Human Rights Council should request the International Law Commission to determine the extent to which elements of Sharia should be classified as harmful practices and therefore null and void as being contrary to international human rights law.

ISIS threat at border demonstrates the dangers of open-door immigration policies

Jihad Watch has been warning about the dangers of unvetted, open-door immigration for years. The contrast between responsible immigration based on a two-way street should have been obvious, but globalists and bleeding heart leftists had no foresight, or simply didn’t care. American borders are now open to literally anyone. FBI director Christopher Wray warns about the obvious: a “’wide array of dangerous threats coming from the U.S. border, including drug trafficking, violent gangs and smugglers with ties to ISIS.” Add in Iranian proxies.

What else could possibly be expected with open doors?

More on this story. “FBI director warns of ‘very dangerous threats’ at border, smuggling network with ‘ISIS ties,’” by Adam Shaw, Fox News, March 11, 2024:

FBI Director Christopher Wray on Monday warned of a “wide array” of dangerous threats coming from the U.S. border, including drug trafficking, violent gangs and smugglers with ties to ISIS.

Wray was asked by Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., at a Senate Intelligence Committee hearing about the threats at the border, including the Tren de Aragua gang from Venezuela. Wray said he couldn’t speak to a specific gang, but said there were dangerous individuals entering via the southern border.

“From an FBI perspective, we are seeing a wide array of very dangerous threats that emanate from the border. And that includes everything from drug trafficking — the FBI alone seized enough fentanyl in the last two years to kill 270 million people — that’s just on the fentanyl side,” he said……

US intel top dog: ‘Al Qaeda and ISIS, inspired by Hamas,’ have told Muslims to ‘attack Israeli and US interests’

The Islamic State and al-Qaeda have been calling upon Muslims to attack Israeli and U.S. interests for years, but Avril Haines was likely too consumed with hunting for “insurrectionists” to notice.

“ISIS, Al Qaeda ‘Inspired by Hamas’ to Attack Americans and Israelis, US Intel Chief Says,” Algemeiner, March 11, 2024:

US Director of National Intelligence Avril Haines said on Monday that the Islamist terrorist groups al Qaeda and Islamic State (ISIS) have been inspired by Hamas to attack Americans and Israelis.

“While it is too early to tell, both al Qaeda and ISIS, inspired by Hamas, have directed supporters to conduct attacks against Israeli and US interests,” Haines testified to the US Senate Intelligence Committee. “And we have seen how it is inspiring individuals to conduct acts of antisemitism and Islamophobic terror worldwide.”

Antisemitism has skyrocketed since Hamas’ Oct. 7 massacre across southern Israel launched the current war in Gaza, which is ruled by the Palestinian terrorist group. Antisemitic incidents have reached record levels in the US and several European countries following the Hamas atrocities, which resulted in the largest mass slaughter of Jews since the Holocaust by the Nazis during World War II.

“It is likely that the Gaza conflict will have a generational impact on terrorism,” Haines told US lawmakers. “The crisis in Gaza is a stark example of how regional developments have the potential of broader and even global implications.”

Haines also noted concerns that the Israel-Hamas war in Gaza could spread global insecurity: “The crisis in Gaza is a stark example of how regional developments have the potential of broader and even global implications.”…

No kidding, really? This kind of incisive analysis is why Haines makes the big bucks.

Tuesday’s Hur Report Takeaways In Biden Classified Documents Inquiry

Tuesday’s Hur Report Takeaways in Biden Classified Documents Inquiry

Former Special Counsel Robert Hur (R) departs after testifying before the House Judiciary Committee at the Rayburn House Office Building on Capitol Hill on March 12, 2024 in Washington, DC. Hur investigated U.S. President Joe Biden’s mishandling of classified documents and published a final report with contentious conclusions about Biden’s memory. Tuesday’s testimony before the House Judiciary Committee was provided by Robert K. Hur, the special counsel who looked into President Biden’s possession of secret documents after he left as vice president under former President Barack Obama.

Hur faced intense questioning from Republicans over his determination that there was not enough evidence to prosecute Biden. Democrats, on the other hand, criticized him for making derogatory comments regarding Biden’s mental capacity in his report. These remarks included referring to him as a “well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory” and someone with “diminished faculties in advancing age.”

Here are a few takeaways:

Both sides launched attacks against Hur.

Certain portions of Hur’s report did not sit well with members of either party. Republicans expressed their displeasure that Biden was not prosecuted, citing a criminal indictment against former President Donald J. Trump, which charges him with deliberately holding onto classified national security information. Meanwhile, Democrats said that Hur had broken Justice Department policy by disparaging Biden’s mental capacity.

Representative Hank Johnson (D-Ga.), claimed that Hur had purposefully supplied fodder to “play into the Republicans’ narrative that the president is unfit for office because he is senile.” He pointed to Biden’s “animated” delivery of the State of the Union speech as evidence that this description was untrue.

However, many social media users chimed in and expressed that it seemed like Biden took an Adderall pill or some other kind of “upper” drug before the address, since his upbeat energy was untypical of him and he looked to have dilated pupils.

Johnson accused Hur, a former Trump political appointee, of “doing everything you can to get President Trump re-elected so that you can get appointed as a federal judge or perhaps to another position in the Department of Justice,” after forcing him to admit that he is a registered Republican.

“Partisan politics had no place whatsoever in my work, it had no place in the investigative steps that I took, it had no place in the decision that I made, and it had no place in a single word of my report,” Hur asserted.

On the other hand, Representative Tom Tiffany (R-Wis.) claimed that Hur was shielding Biden from what he perceived to be a politicized double standard by the Justice Department.

“I want to thank you for the work you have done as far as you can, but unfortunately, you are part of the Praetorian Guard that guards the swamp out here in Washington, D.C., protecting the elites — and Joe Biden is part of that company of the elites,” Tiffany said.

The session was mostly dominated by attempts to gain political points.

Other than Biden’s mental cognition, Hur’s evidence was mostly clear during the hearing. Republicans highlighted how Biden is a criminal who has gotten away with his crimes because, in the words of Representative Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.), “the elevator doesn’t go all the way to the top” and he is a “senile cooperator.”

Biden’s allies tried to insinuate that Hur’s report represented an exoneration of the president as soon as it was made public last month. According to their account, Biden was “innocent,” as Hur claims that he was unable to gather enough evidence to prosecute the president.

Following her claim that Hur cleared the president, Representative Pramila Jayapal (D-Wash.) attempted to move on with her remarks. “I did not ‘exonerate’ him—that word does not appear in the report,” Hur said, shooting back. Under questioning from both sides, he reiterated that fact numerous times.

Throughout the entire hearing, Hur remained motionless and seldom objected to questions from congressmen, even when their claims ran counter to what he had written or stated, unless he was personally defending himself.

Republicans, such as Representative Jeff Van Drew (R-N.J.), utilized their time to compare the improper possession of classified documents by Biden and Trump. However, Hur remained silent and repeated the findings of his report, which stated that there are “several material distinctions.”

During the following eight months of the 2024 presidential campaign, when Biden will confront Trump again, some of the most heated debates will most likely center on the president’s age and cognitive ability.

Concerns about Biden’s age among voters from both parties have plagued him for months. At 81, he is already the oldest president to be elected. Although he and his supporters have downplayed those worries, Hur’s report detailed memory issues that he experienced during a five-hour interview.

Republicans continued to highlight the president’s mental cognition on multiple occasions on Tuesday, but Hur would not discuss anything beyond what was written in his report. Democrats, meanwhile, fiercely disputed Hur’s claim that he was not acting politically.

“You were not born yesterday,” said Representative Adam B. Schiff (D-Calif.). “You understood exactly what you were doing. It was a choice.”

Hur’s denial that he cleared Biden will be “political gold” for the president’s opponents in the upcoming 2024 election.
