Gabbard: ‘Radical Islamist Terrorism’ is Biggest National Security Threat

Now comes the tough part.

In a sane political environment, this would have passed as a decidedly unremarkable, albeit not quite one-hundred-percent accurate, observation. The U.S. Director of National Intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard, recently warned that “radical Islamist terrorism” is the biggest national security threat the nation faces today.

Well, of course. The top terror groups worldwide are all Islamic. On September 11, 2001, Islamic jihadis carried out the largest-ever terror attack on American soil. Numerous other Islamic jihad attacks have taken place in the U.S., at Fort Hood, the Boston Marathon, San Bernardino, New Orleans, and numerous other places. The Biden regime caught numerous people on the terror watch list crossing into the U.S. from Mexico, and released at least 99 of them into the country. Gabbard was therefore making an entirely reasonable assessment.

Gabbard said: “We look at the past four years of open borders, where we’ve had tens of millions of people coming across our borders, many of whom we don’t know who they are or what their intentions are, and very specifically the threat of radical Islamist terrorism here within our country is higher than it’s ever been before, not only because of Biden’s open borders, but because of his and his administration’s fear of being called Islamophobes.”

For Gabbard to speak of “radical Islamist terrorism” was not quite accurate, as there is nothing “radical” about Islamic jihad violence. It is mainstream and deeply rooted in the Qur’an and Sunnah. And “Islamist” is a phony word that corresponds to nothing in Islamic theology. It is just an attempt to distance Islam from the crimes done in its name and in accord with its teachings.

Nevertheless, her statement was a tremendous improvement over the Biden regime. FBI Director Christopher Wray testified before members of the Senate Judiciary Committee in March 2021, saying: “The top threat we face from [domestic violent extremists] continues to be those we identify as Racially or Ethnically Motivated Violent Extremists (RMVEs), specifically those who advocate for the superiority of the white race.”

Old Joe Biden then said it during his speech to a Joint Session of Congress in April 2021: “we won’t ignore what our own intelligence agencies have determined – the most lethal terrorist threat to the homeland today is from white supremacist terrorism.”

The following month, a revealing piece in Yahoo News by “journalist” Alexander Nazaryan stated that Biden’s desperately corrupt and partisan Attorney General Merrick Garland “told Congress on Wednesday that violence incited by white supremacists poses ‘the most dangerous threat to our democracy.’ That assertion reflects near-universal consensus among national security experts, including those who work for the Trump administration.”

In June 2021, Biden doubled down: “As I said in my address to the joint session of Congress: According to the intelligence community, terrorism from white supremacy is the most lethal threat to the homeland today. Not ISIS, not al Qaeda — white supremacists. That’s not me; that’s the intelligence community under both Trump and under my administration.”

The agenda of Old Joe Biden, Merrick Garland and their henchmen was obvious and insidious: they intended to find these white supremacist terrorists, and prosecute and destroy them. They had no anxiety about the prospect of not finding those white supremacists in sufficient numbers, because by “white supremacists” they meant law-abiding patriots who dissented from the left’s political agenda. The Garland “Justice” Department, which should be rebranded as the Partisan Vengeance Department, wasn’t content with persecuting Donald Trump. It also sicced the FBI on angry parents protesting at school board meetings, worked with Twitter (TWTR) and other social media giants to silence and deplatform people with opposing views, and even sent spies into Catholic churches to keep tabs on pro-lifers.

That’s what Biden, Garland, Wray and the rest meant by a “white supremacist terror threat.” Now Gabbard has swept all that aside and begun the road back to realism and honesty regarding where the real terror threat is coming from. The problem she faces is that the views of Biden, Garland and Wray are widespread within the intelligence community, not just during the Biden regime, but during the Obama years as well. If she doesn’t manage to root it out in its entirety, it will continue to do damage to law-abiding Americans. All patriots should be hoping that at this critical juncture, Tulsi Gabbard succeeds in the monumental task before her.

Trump Pulls Biden’s Security Clearance: ‘Joe, You’re Fired’

President Donald Trump announced on Friday that former President Joe Biden’s security clearance and access to classified information has been revoked “immediately” revoked.

“There is no need for Joe Biden to continue receiving access to classified information. Therefore, we are immediately revoking Joe Biden’s Security Clearance, and stopping his daily Intelligence Briefings,” Trump wrote in a Truth Social post on Friday.

“He set this precedent in 2021, when he instructed the Intelligence Community (IC) to stop the 45th President of the United States (ME!) from accessing details on National Security, a courtesy provided to former Presidents. The Hunter Report revealed that Biden suffers from ‘poor memory’ and, even in his ‘prime,’ could not be trusted with sensitive information. I will always protect our National Security — JOE, YOU’RE FIRED. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!” he continued.

Trump referenced Biden previously revoking his intelligence briefings following Trump’s first term in office, as Biden stated at the time, “I just think that there is no need for him to have the intelligence briefings.”

“What value is giving him an intelligence briefing? What impact does he have at all, other than the fact that he might slip and say something?”

Additionally, Trump referenced the Hur Report, which was investigated and submitted last February by Special Counsel Robert Hurd. The report was in regard to Biden retaining classified information, which Hurst later testified in March that “pride and money” led the former president to hold on to the classified documents.

Hur’s findings also questioned Biden’s mental capacity as he reportedly had frequent memory lapses. Despite Hur’s findings, he did not recommend charges be brought against Biden, due to his poor mental state and insufficient evidence to hold the case up in court.

“I did not sanitize my explanation. Nor did I disparage the president unfairly,” Hur added.

Greg Kelly: Trump flips the script on Joe Biden, rightfully removing his security clearances

Defense Secretary Hegseth Revokes Gen. Milley’s Security Clearance And Protection

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth is pulling the security protections and clearance of retired Joint Chiefs chairman General Mark Milley.

The new defense secretary is also tasking the new acting Inspector General to conduct a review board to determine if enough evidence exists for Gen. Milley to be stripped of a star in retirement based on his actions to “undermine the chain of command” during President Donald Trump’s first term, officials say.

The inspector general review will include “an inquiry into the facts and circumstances surrounding Gen. Milley’s conduct so that the Secretary may determine whether it is appropriate to reopen his military grade review determination,” Pentagon spokesman John Ullyot said.

“The secretary informed Gen. Milley today that he is revoking the authorization for his security detail and suspending his security clearance as well,” he said.

Milley is known for serving as chairman during President Donald Trump’s first term in office. The relationship started out strong. However, it worsened over time as Milley tried to advise Trump on multiple issues.

He’s known for pushing back on the president’s interest in using force domestically to stop protestors after the death of George Floyd, and was at the center of a controversy in 2021 when he made independent calls to his Chinese counterpart. At the time, Trump said the calls were an act of treason, but Milley claimed the calls were routine and part of his responsibilities.

During his final days as chairman, after Trump had left office, he was outspoken about his former boss. He said at his official retirement ceremony “we don’t take an oath to a king or a queen or to a tyrant or a dictator. We don’t take an oath to a wannabe dictator.”

“We don’t take an oath to an individual. We take an oath to the Constitution, and we take an oath to the idea that is America, and we’re willing to die to protect it,” he said at the time.

According to Hegseth’s chief of staff, Joe Kasper, the decision to strip Milley of his clearance and details was taken because “undermining the chain of command is corrosive to our national security, and restoring accountability is a priority for the Defense Department under President Trump’s leadership.”

Additional moves might include getting rid of Milley’s Army chief of staff portrait. Milley’s chairman portrait was stripped from the wall just hours after Trump was sworn in.

The House unanimously passed a bill on Friday that would increase Secret Service protections for the two parties’ presidential nominees and their vice presidential running mates.

The vote came in at 405-0, just five days after the second assassination attempt against former President Donald Trump when Ryan Wesley Routh purportedly camped outside Trump’s West Palm Beach golf club for nearly 12 hours.

A security team conducting a screening of the holes Trump was approaching spotted Routh and fired shots at him, who fled the scene and was later arrested by local authorities.

This was the second attempt on Trump’s life within 60 days. In July, a gunman opened fire at the former president’s rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, piercing Trump’s ear and leaving him bloodied on stage.

“President Biden made it clear that he wanted the highest levels of protection for former President Trump and for Vice President Harris. Secret Service moved to sustain increases in assets and the level of protection … and those things were in place yesterday,” acting Secret Service Director Ronald Rowe told reporters Monday.

“The President is aware that he has the highest levels of protection that the Secret Service is providing him. …There’s a lot of tactical assets in place, things that have been put in place as a result of what happened 60 days ago. "Those elements are working,” he added.

The bill will now be sent to the Senate for consideration, but it’s unclear how the upper chamber will handle the issue of security. Meanwhile, lawmakers from both chambers are discussing whether to include additional funding for the Secret Service in the stopgap funding bill Congress must pass by September 30th to avoid a government shutdown.

Additionally, Senator Rick Scott (R-Fla.) rolled out a companion bill to the one passed by the House on Friday.

“Over the course of just 65 days, two deranged individuals have tried to kill President Donald Trump, and one was able to shoot him in the head,” Scott said in a statement. “It is unthinkable that this could happen in America today, and it demands the immediate action of Congress.”

Currently, Trump has the same counter surveillance and counter sniper teams given to sitting presidents, along with protective intelligence and drone teams.

Sen. Josh Hawley on Whistleblowers Coming Out After Security Failures Led to Assassination Attempt

Megyn Kelly is joined by Sen. Josh Hawley of Missouri to discuss the Secret Service director finally resigning after her terrible appearance before Congress, the failure of law enforcement at the Trump rally causing the attempted assassination, the blame game we're seeing now, the lack of accountability and transparency, and more.

‘Total security breakdown’: Secret Service Director faces calls to resign

Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle faces mounting calls for her resignation after the attempted assassination of Donald Trump. Numerous people have lamented Cheatle for the Secret Service’s weak security measures at Trump’s Pennsylvania rally. The director has also been criticised for focusing on “Diversity, Equity and “inclusion” policies. Cheatle has made a goal that the Secret Service will have 30 per cent female recruits by 2030 and have “diverse candidates”. US President Joe Biden appointed Cheatle to the agency’s top post in 2022, stating she was “the best choice to lead the agency”. Former FBI Assistant Director Chris Swecker spoke to Fox News about the incident and slammed the Secret Service’s efforts. “It was a total security breakdown from start to finish. From the total security plan for the rally to the reaction once the shots rang out,” he said.

Biden national security aide tells Dearborn Muslims ‘I do not have any confidence in current government of Israel’

SEE: https://www.jihadwatch.org/2024/02/biden-national-security-aide-tells-dearborn-muslims-i-do-not-have-any-confidence-in-current-government-of-israel; republished below in full, unedited, for informational, educational, & research purposes:

Once again, the Biden regime is trying to appease its far-Left, Israeli-hating base. The regime could destroy the alliance altogether and throw Israel at the jihadis in exchange for Muslim support for Biden’s reelection.

“In Private Remarks to Arab Americans, Biden Aide Expresses Regrets on Gaza,” by Reid J. Epstein and Erica L. Green, New York Times, February 9, 2024:

In a closed-door meeting with Arab American leaders in Michigan this week, one of President Biden’s top foreign policy aides acknowledged mistakes in the administration’s response to the war in Gaza, saying he did not have “any confidence” that Israel’s government was willing to take “meaningful steps” toward Palestinian statehood….

The Biden aide, Jon Finer, a deputy national security adviser, offered some of the administration’s clearest expressions of regret for what he called “missteps” it had made since the beginning of the violence, and he pledged that it would do better.

During a meeting on Thursday with Arab American political leaders in Dearborn, Mich., Mr. Finer said, “We are very well aware that we have missteps in the course of responding to this crisis since Oct. 7,” according to a recording of the gathering obtained by The New York Times. A National Security Council official confirmed the recording was authentic.

Mr. Finer added: “We have left a very damaging impression based on what has been a wholly inadequate public accounting for how much the president, the administration and the country values the lives of Palestinians. And that began pretty early in the conflict.”…

Mr. Finer and several other senior Biden administration officials, including Samantha Power, the administrator of the United States Agency for International Development, traveled to Dearborn on Thursday for a series of meetings, including one in which Mr. Finer’s comments were recorded.

Those sessions came a week after Biden's campaign aides, including Julie Chávez Rodríguez, the manager of his 2024 bid, quietly traveled to the city and met with a few officials, including Representative Rashida Tlaib, a Palestinian-American progressive who is at the forefront of Democratic calls for a cease-fire.

However, Mayor Abdullah Hammoud of Dearborn and several other local officials declined to meet with Ms. Chávez Rodríguez. Mr. Hammoud later issued a statement saying he wished to speak with policymakers instead of campaign officials. White House officials then scrambled to arrange a visit.

During Thursday's meetings, Mr. Finer articulated the American government’s efforts to bring a halt to the war in Gaza. Building a formal diplomatic relationship between Israel and Saudi Arabia, he said, is a critical step toward creating a Palestinian state. Doing so, he added, requires politically difficult sacrifices from both countries and the United States.

“We will have to do things for Saudi Arabia that will be very unpopular in this country and in our Congress,” Mr. Finer said. “Will Israel be willing to do the hard thing that’s going to be required of them, which is meaningful steps for the Palestinians on the question of two states?" I don’t know if the answer to that is yes. I do not have any confidence in this current government of Israel.”…

Mayor ramps up security after Dearborn is dubbed ‘America’s jihad capital,’ whines about ‘Islamophobic rhetoric’

Abdullah Hammoud is in full victimhood mode, complaining about “Islamophobic rhetoric,” but note what he isn’t doing: he isn’t saying that the Wall Street Journal article is false. Nor is he addressing the contention that Dearborn is America’s jihad capital. Instead, he is deflecting attention away from the claims in the article by claiming, without a shred of evidence, that the article endangers places of worship and major infrastructure points in Dearborn. One might almost get the impression that he doesn’t want to address the problem of jihad activity in Dearborn. How strange!

“Michigan city ramps up security after op-ed calls it ‘America’s jihad capital,'” Associated Press, February 4, 2024:

DEARBORN, Mich. — Dearborn, Michigan, is ramping up its police presence in response to fallout from an opinion piece that described the city, which has the nation’s highest Muslim population per capita, as “America’s jihad capital.”

Dearborn Mayor Abdullah Hammoud on Friday tweeted that city police increased security at places of worship and major infrastructure points as a “direct result” of a Wall Street Journal opinion piece titled, “Welcome to Dearborn, America’s Jihad Capital.”

Hammoud posted on the X platform, formerly known as Twitter, that the item published Friday “led to an alarming increase in bigoted and Islamophobic rhetoric online targeting the city of Dearborn.”

Steven Stalinsky, executive director of the Middle East Media Research Institute, who authored the opinion piece in the Wall Street Journal, said in an interview with The Associated Press that he wanted to draw attention to protests in Michigan and elsewhere across the U.S. in which people have expressed support for Hamas since the start of the war with Israel….

“Nothing in my article was written to instigate any sort of hate,” Stalinsky said. “This is a moment for counterterrorism officials to be concerned.”…

In a tweet referencing Dearborn on Saturday, President Joe Biden condemned “hate in all forms.”

“Americans know that blaming a group of people based on the words of a small few is wrong,” Biden’s post read. “That’s exactly what can lead to Islamophobia and anti-Arab hate, and it shouldn’t happen to the residents of Dearborn – or any American town.”

Hamas sympathizer enjoys senior role within Biden’s national security apparatus

At this point, only the most naive and uninformed could possibly be surprised by this.

“Top Biden Intel Official Outed as Palestinian Activist Has Some Very Dark Associates,” Revolver, October 16, 2023:

Hamas’ gruesome terrorist attack against Israel has left the entire world in shock, primarily at the barbarity of Hamas’ actions but also at the monumental intelligence failure on the part of Israel’s vaunted security establishment. The tragic attack has also encouraged some healthy critical reflection on the Biden regime’s Middle East policy. In a colossal blunder worthy of the legendarily inaccurate financial commentator Jim Cramer, Biden’s national security advisor Jake Sullivan just this month bragged that “the Middle East is quieter now than it has been in two decades.”

Of course, no one can be expected to predict the future, but this unfortunate remark strikes us as particularly flat-footed. Possibly more disturbing than the Biden team’s flat-footedness on the emerging conflict is the distinct possibility that a Hamas sympathizer enjoys a senior role within Biden’s national security apparatus. The individual in question is Maher Bitar, who currently serves as the Senior Director for Intelligence Programs on Joe Biden’s National Security Council.

Biden’s choice of Bitar for a senior intelligence role within the NSC is largely forgotten, though it generated considerable controversy in the immediate aftermath of Bitar’s appointment in 2021. Numerous reports emerged of Bitar’s history of activism on behalf of Palestine that extended into support for the BDS movement as well as organizations that have been accused of being friendly to terror groups like Hamas.

The Washington Free Beacon reported that Bitar was not only a member but also an executive director of the controversial “Students for Justice in Palestine” (SJP) group….
