A Florida diner recently posted a sign asking Biden voters to take their business elsewhere.

The warning reads, “If you voted for and continue to support and stand behind the worthless, inept and corrupt administration currently inhabiting the White House that is complicit in the death of our servicemen and women in Afghanistan, please take your business elsewhere. God bless America and God bless our soldiers.”

DeBary Diner owner Angie Ugarte said she posted the sign because she felt like it was the only thing she could do to protest Biden’s disastrous handling of Afghanistan.

Fox reports that the sign has caused a massive business boom for the diner.

The DeBary Diner, located in DeBary, Florida and owned by Angie Ugarte, was closed on September 2 after running out of food following a surge in demand after a sign was posted on the front door slamming Biden’s chaotic Afghanistan withdrawal and telling his supporters to take their business somewhere else, according to the West Volusia Beacon.

(edit)

“I’ve gotten so many people calling me from all over the world, from Europe, trying to purchase meals for veterans, which I still haven’t been able to organize,” Ugarte told the Daytona Beach News-Journal. “I think that the veterans will be fed for the rest of the year at the rate I’m getting donations.”

She says veterans are making a point to stop by and dine at her restaurant. If I was in Florida, I’d do the same.

At least Joe Biden has managed to help one business do well. Other than this diner and the gun industry, Biden’s impact on the economy is disastrous and his excuses for that just don’t add up. Joe Biden has the anti-Midas touch: Everything he touches turns to crap.

Capitol Police Consider Re-Erecting Fence Ahead of Sept. 18 Rally

U.S. Capitol Police have discussed rebuilding a fence around the building in preparation for a rally supporting people charged in connection with the Jan. 6 violence, the Associated Press reported Thursday.

An ex-campaign staffer for former President Donald Trump is organizing a rally for Sept. 18, CNN reported last week. A memo sent to members of the Capitol Police said that around 300 people have told event organizers they might attend.

Fencing around the Capitol after Jan. 6 caused issues for lawmakers, many of whom said they disliked the closing off of access but acknowledged the increased level of security provided.

A House aide told the AP that the decision on whether to re-erect the fence likely will be considered by the Capitol Police Board. No decisions have been made.

The board consists of the Sergeant at Arms of the House of Representatives, the Sergeant at Arms and Doorkeeper of the Senate, and the Architect of the Capitol.

The planned rally comes following a series of one-off incidents that included a man parking a pickup truck near the Library of Congress and saying he had a bomb and detonator, and a series of unexploded pipe bombs placed around the Capitol before Jan. 6.

Intelligence failures resulted in law enforcement being left badly prepared for the Jan. 6 events. More than 100 police officers were injured amid more than $1 million of damage.

Although members of groups, such as the Oath Keepers and Proud Boys, comprise a small number of the nearly 600 people charged so far in connection with the Jan. 6 violence, they face some of the most serious charges.

Several Oath Keepers have pleaded guilty to conspiracy charges and are cooperating with investigators in the case against other individuals, who authorities say came to Washington ready to do whatever it took to stop the certification of the Electoral College vote.

Yogananda Pittman, the Capitol Police officer who led intelligence operations for the agency on Jan. 6, has been put back in charge of intelligence, AP reported.

In a statement to the AP, Capitol Police Chief Tom Manger said the department was "closely monitoring September 18 and we are planning accordingly."

"After January 6, we made Department-wide changes to the way we gather and share intelligence internally and externally," Manger told the wire service. "I am confident the work we are doing now will make sure our officers have what they need to keep everyone safe."

AP reported, the Metropolitan Police Department will activate its entire force on Sept. 18 and has put specialized riot officers on standby.

With the rally being held on a Saturday, the House will be in recess and few lawmakers or staff are expected to be around, CNN said.

State Department’s ‘Turf Wars’ Over Trump Program ‘Mucked Up’ Evacuation of Americans From Afghanistan

Hundreds left behind in Afghanistan by Presidentish Joe Biden’s hasty and ill-planned bugout could have been gotten out, if not for State Department turf wars over the Trump-era Contingency and Crisis Response bureau.

The story you first read about here two weeks ago got an added boost from Adam Ciralsky’s latest for Vanity Fair.

Planned as a major upgrade to the Obama-era Operational Medicine (OpMed), the CCR was quashed so badly by infighting inside Anthony Blinken’s State Department that “OpMed was in limbo” just as the situation in Kabul went Tango Uniform.

Ciralsky described OpMed as “a turnkey solution for overseas operations.” Even as a mere office, William “Doc” Walters’ in-house organization has carried out “daring rescues of U.S. officials, American citizens, and foreign nationals imperiled overseas.”

In his last year as President Donald Trump’s SecState, Mike Pompeo had planned to elevate OpMed to bureau status at the Bureau of Contingency and Crisis Response (CCR).

But then Blinken blinked:

Blinken approved a recommendation against upgrading OpMed into a bureau. A unit distinguished by its ability to blow through bureaucratic wickets would instead be forced to play “Mother May I,” answering to a series of administrators: a director, an acting undersecretary, and on up to the deputy secretary for management and resources (DMR). To outsiders, this might seem like a low-stakes game of Jenga in reverse. But the move, which blindsided many, appeared to have profound consequences.

Walters resigned in protest, telling Blinken, “Sir, you deserve to have leaders who can get behind the decisions you make. I can’t do that. So I’m leaving,” according to Vanity Fair.

As I wrote when the less-detailed version of this story broke on August 19, “Biden didn’t plan for every contingency. He killed our ability to respond to the most likely contingency.”

There is so much blame to go around that I hardly know where to begin.

But the rot does seem deepest at Blinken’s State Department if Ciralsky’s report is anything to go by:

This individual described the decision-making process at Foggy Bottom as being plagued by “pathologic optimism.” But as the days and weeks wore on, several other State Department sources would explain that the problem came down to hubris. Eliminating CCR and degrading OpMed, without clearly defined alternatives, was evidence, they said, of meta-ignorance (known in psychology circles as the Dunning-Kruger effect); America’s diplomats, in the view of these insiders, were ignorant of their own ignorance.

Two very bad things were apparently going on at the very same time earlier this summer.

Our top military brass was going forward with closing Bagram Air Base first, thus eliminating the Pentagon’s ability to deal with the crisis created by Biden’s childish determination to exit Afghanistan completely by an arbitrary deadline.

While the White House and Pentagon were busy creating a military and humanitarian crisis, Blinken’s State Department was busy sidelining the one organization they had on hand to respond to Biden’s bungled bugout.

The cascading symmetrical failures would be something you could laugh at in a Franz Kafka story, except these are the deadly and real-world failures of an administration that was supposed to put the grown-ups back in charge.

Texts Show Chaos: U.S. Military Knew They Were Leaving American Citizens Stranded at the Kabul Airport

On Tuesday, Joe Biden spoke to the country, bizarrely claiming the chaotic evacuation from Afghanistan was an “extraordinary success.”

But in text messages between private citizens and U.S. military commanders seen by Just The News, Biden’s rosy picture of the evacuation bears no resemblance to reality.

These text messages reveal that “pleading American citizens were frantically left behind at the Kabul airport gate this past weekend to face an uncertain fate under Taliban rule while U.S. officials sought to spread the blame between high-ranking generals and the State Department,” according to the report.

“We are f—ing abandoning American citizens,” one text written by an Army colonel assigned to the 82nd Airborne Division said. The Army colonel detailed a failed effort to evacuate a group of American citizens hours before our troops left the country for good.

The messages were provided by war correspondent Michael Yon, a former special forces soldier who was on the ground helping to rescue stranded Americans.

Yon told Just The News that a group of Americans was abandoned at the Kabul airport as the U.S. military finished their last evacuation.

“We had them out there waving their passport screaming, ‘I’m American,'” Yon told JTN’s John Solomon on his podcast. “People were turned away from the gate by our own Army.”

“You guys left American citizens at the gate of the Kabul airport,” Yon wrote Tuesday to an Army major whose team had abandoned a rescue attempt. “Three empty jets paid for by volunteers were waiting for them. You and I talked on the phone. I told you where they were. Gave you their passport images. And my email and phone number. And you left them behind.”

“Great job saving yourselves,” Yon added. “Probably get a lot of medals.”

Yon’s account is backed up by three dozen text and email exchanges with various military officials in Afghanistan.

Despite these reports of desperate American citizens wanting to leave but were turned away to meet the deadline he set, Biden said that only 100-200 Americans remain in the country and seemed to suggest they were responsible for their being left behind when he claimed that “most of those who remain are dual citizens, long-time residents who had earlier decided to stay because of their family roots in Afghanistan.”

However, some U.S. officials estimated last week that over 5,000 American citizens would be left behind.

Joe Biden said on Tuesday that “There is no… evacuation from the end of a war that you can run without the kinds of complexities, challenges, and threats we faced.”

Check Out What the Biden Administration Just Did to Websites Listing Weapons It Gave to the Taliban

Forbes reports that the State Department is telling other federal agencies to scrub their websites of lists of weapons the U.S. provided the Afghan military over the years.

Just after the fall of Kabul, the Taliban started turning up in U.S. uniforms, carrying U.S. rifles, and riding in U.S. vehicles. They started showing off a Black Hawk helicopter they’d captured. It soon became clear that when the Taliban overran the Afghan military, it also snapped up all of that military’s gear. It also grabbed all of the gear the U.S. military left behind at Bagram Air Base and other posts as it hastily retreated. Joe Biden insists he and his high command, including generals who wear medal clusters so enormous you could serve a pizza on them, planned for all this. But did they? Did they plan to arm the Taliban?

One question now is: Did they plan for the ongoing cover-up?

Forbes reports that the State Department is telling other federal agencies to scrub their websites of lists of weapons the U.S. provided the Afghan military over the years.

According to an admission obtained from the State Department, Biden officials recently directed federal agencies to scrub their websites of official reports detailing the $82.9 billion in military equipment and training provided to the Afghan security forces since 2001.

The scrubbed audits and reports included detailed accounting of what the U.S. had provided to Afghan forces, down to the number of night vision devices, hand grenades, Black Hawk helicopters, and armored vehicles.

Reports further quantified 208 aircraft and helicopters; 75,000 war vehicles – including 22 Humvees, 50,000 tactical vehicles and nearly 1,000 mine resistant vehicles; and 600,000 weapons – including 350,000 M4 and M16 rifles, 60,000 machine guns, and 25,000 grenade launchers.

The Biden administration claims it’s scrubbing weapons information, including some reports that are several years old, to protect those it left stranded in Afghanistan. That’s laughable.

When the news that the Taliban had captured so much of our gear first broke, it caused your humble correspondent to ask a shocking question: Is Joe Biden now the world’s greatest terrorist arms supplier? Is Lunch Pail Joe a notorious terrorist gun-runner?

This graphic made the rounds on social media. It depicts just how well-armed the Taliban are now. They reportedly have more helicopters than about 85% of the countries in the world.

The Biden administration left all this behind and now wants federal agencies to hide the truth from the American taxpayers who paid for it. They were a little slow covering their tracks after their hasty retreat.

Donald Trump was impeached for a whole lot less than arming a terrorist group with just about everything it could possibly want and then giving it a country.

National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan appeared on MSNBC earlier Wednesday and refused to even call the Taliban an “enemy.” He failed to come up with a suitable word for the terrorist group that succored the architects of 9-11 and is reportedly going house-to-house to kill anyone who worked with the United States over the past 20 years.

On a darkly and ironically humorous note to all this, the Taliban are upset and want the world to know that they feel betrayed — by Biden. He failed to leave some of the U.S. gear in working order.

Taliban fighters are feeling angry and betrayed Wednesday after discovering that Afghan National Army helicopters abandoned at Kabul’s airport have been rendered inoperable by departing U.S. troops, according to a report.

An Al Jazeera reporter who toured a hangar on the military side of the airport said in a video that the terrorist group “expected the Americans to leave helicopters like this in one piece for their use.”

“When I said to them, ‘why do you think that the Americans would have left everything operational for you’? They said because we believe it is a national asset and we are the government now and this could have come to great use for us,” she continued.

Odds are that exiting units decided to disable this gear on their own. CENTCOM probably didn’t want to have to fight against all that gear left behind, which will eventually happen.

There have been all kinds of speculation that the Biden government left at least some of that functioning gear in some sort of deal with the Taliban to keep them from overrunning Kabul airport during the evacuation. Would you put it past this administration? Biden left the interpreter who saved his own life behind. He left American citizens and journalists behind after promising not to. He has acted out of weakness and/or rank dishonesty at every turn, even asking then-Afghan President Ghani to lie for him as the country fell to the Taliban. He yelled at America on Tuesday, apparently convinced that raising his voice makes him sound strong.

It just makes him sound like an old man yelling at the clouds.

So even the Taliban feel betrayed now? Welcome to the club.
