Israel has been stopped many times in the past from defending itself adequately. That’s one reason why it still faces such a severe jihad. And it could happen again.

“Israel focused on taking down ‘terrorist infrastructure of Hamas,’ says Israeli diplomat,” by Elissa Salamy, SBG,
May 17, 2021:

WASHINGTON (SBG) – Sunday marked the deadliest day in the violence between Israel and Palestine over the last week after Israel bombed the house of Hamas’ Gaza leader as Hamas launched more than 100 rockets toward Israel. The death toll after the latest casualties is now 197 in Gaza, and 10 Israelis killed by rockets fired from Gaza.

“Millions of Israelis are under threat of rockets from Hamas,” said Elad Strohmayer, spokesperson for the Embassy of Israel. “More than 500 Israelis were injured, more than 3,200 rockets were fired indiscriminately by Hamas.”

Israel’s airstrikes have leveled a number of Gaza’s buildings, including the building housing the Associated Press office in Gaza, which Israel says contained Hamas military infrastructure.

“We’re determined to take down the terrorist infrastructure of Hamas, to make sure that peace is restored and calm is restored and safety is restored for the Israeli people,” said Strohmayer to The National Desk’s Jan Jeffcoat. “And by the way, not just for the Israeli people, but the people of Gaza.”

Strohmayer says the people of Gaza are “hostages of Hamas.”

“Hamas is firing at the Israelis, and they do that from within the civilian population in Gaza,” said Strohmayer.

Some Republican lawmakers in Washington are saying that the Biden administration needs to be more aggressive.

“I think we need to do everything possible to bring about a ceasefire,” said Rep. Adam Schiff on Sunday. “I think the administration needs to push harder on Israel and the Palestinian Authority to stop the violence, bring about a ceasefire, end these hostilities, and get back to a process of trying to resolve this long-standing conflict.”

Strohmayer says they are “very grateful” for the Biden administration.

“Everybody’s saying, emphasizing the unwavering right of Israel to defend itself,” said Strohmayer. “This is exactly the message that we get from this administration, so we’re very grateful for their support.”…
