German Chancellor Angela Merkel says that freedom of expression must be curtailed in order to keep society free.



Yes, really.



“For all those who claim that they can no longer express their opinion, I say this to them; If you express a pronounced opinion, you must live with the fact that you will be contradicted,” said Merkel during a speech to the German Parliament.



“Expressing an opinion does not come at zero cost, but freedom of expression has limits,” she added, as some in the Bundestag could be heard voicing their disagreement.



“Those limits begin where hatred is spread, they begin where the dignity of other people is violated. This house will and must oppose extreme speech otherwise our society will no longer be the free society that it was,” said Merkel.








Of course, what “violates” the “dignity” of other people is completely subjective and could include all manner of speech that most people would find perfectly acceptable.



The debate over free speech in Germany has intensified since the country accepted over a million migrants from the Middle East and North Africa from 2015 onwards.



Many Germans have found themselves hit with charges of hate speech for pointing out ‘hate facts’ like migrants being responsible for crimes and sexual assaults



This happened despite the German government’s own numbers showing violent crime in Germany rose by 10 per cent between 2015 and 2016 and that more than 90 per cent of the rise was attributable to young male “refugees.”



Lawmakers in one area of Germany even attempted to pass a law that would have jailed people for insulting the EU anthem or burning the EU flag.



As we document in the video below, Germans were subjected to a re-education campaign to encourage them to accept their new reality rather than the government actually addressing their concerns about mass migration.

A new poll conducted by Rasmussen has discovered that 42% of Americans aged 18 to 39 would happily vote for a socialist presidential candidate.



“Forty-one percent (41%) of Democrats say they would vote for a presidential candidate who identifies himself or herself as a socialist, but only 19% of GOP voters and 16% of unaffiliateds agree,” Rasmussen notes.



Americans in that younger age group are also twice as likely to prefer socialism to capitalism, according to the findings.



The finding that almost a fifth of Republicans would support a socialist presidential candidate comes a day after President Trump again vowed that the US would never become a socialist country under his watch:







The findings in the latest poll are not isolated, given that two previous surveys this year have uncovered similar sentiments.



In March, a Harris poll revealed that almost 50 percent of young Americans would like to live under a socialist government.



The Same poll also found that two thirds of all Americans believe the government should provide universal healthcare, with over half again saying that it should provide tuition-free college.



A further Gallup poll from May found that 47% of all Americans would vote for a socialist presidential candidate. The poll noted that among Democrats, the support for socialism is even higher, with 70% declaring it would be better for America.



Young Americans might feel differently if Starbucks disappeared and their iPhones quickly run out of batteries with no electricity to charge them. Bread lines also aren’t so cool.



Senator Rand Paul issued a Thanksgiving message Thursday, with a telling reminder that the first Thanksgiving “only happened when the pilgrims rejected socialism.”

Iran, China, and Russia will hold in the coming weeks their first-ever joint war drills, which leaders say are meant to send a “message to the world” about increased military cooperation between the rogue countries.



The commander of Iran’s navy, Rear Admiral Hossein Khanzadi, said Wednesday that the Islamic Republic will team up with Moscow and Beijing within the next month to hold the mass war drills.



“When we talk about joint wargames, we are talking about two or more countries with a high level of relations in various political, economic and social fields, which culminate in cooperation in the military sector, with wargames usually being the highest level of such cooperation,” Khanzadi was quoted as saying in remarks to Iran’s state-controlled press.



“A joint wargame between several countries, whether on land, at sea, or in the air, indicates a remarkable expansion of cooperation among them,” the military leader said.



The joint war drills will be aimed at sending a message to the world, particularly Western nations, like the United States, that have sought to constrain Iran’s expanding military ambitions.



“The joint wargame between Iran, Russia, and China, which will hopefully be conducted next month, carries the same message to the world, that these three countries have reached a meaningful strategic point in their relations, with regard to their shared and non-shared interests, and by non-shared I mean the respect we have for one another’s national interests,” Khanzadi was quoted as saying….

‘You became brothers by His grace’: Putin quotes Koran in appeal for peace in Yemen. Russian President Vladimir Putin raised a few approving eyebrows in Turkey by quoting from the Koran to urge an end to the war in Yemen that has been waged there for years by a coalition of Muslim countries led by Saudi Arabia.



Speaking in Ankara on Monday alongside Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Iran’s President Hassan Rouhani, Putin introduced a particular line from the Muslim holy book, known as the Surah al-Imran.



“And remember the favor of Allah upon you – when you were enemies and He brought your hearts together and you became, by His favor, brothers,” the Russian president quoted.



Putin also referenced another Koranic teaching, about how violence is only legitimate in self-defense, to semi-jokingly suggest that Saudi Arabia should buy Russian air defense systems, as Iran and Turkey have already done.



The Russian president’s references to the holy text of Islam were noted with approval by both Erdogan and Rouhani, who are Sunni and Shia Muslims, respectively. Both leaders admonished the Saudi-led invasion of Yemen, which has resulted in tens of thousands of deaths over the past five years and has utterly devastated the country on the southern tip of the Arabian peninsula.



What began as a civil war between the rebel Houthis and the Saudi-backed government escalated into an air war led by the Saudis and into a full-blown ground invasion in 2015. The coalition has not managed to defeat the Houthis in over four years, however, as shown by the most recent drone attack on Saudi oil facilities.

BOB JONES UNIVERSITY’S PLUNGE INTO 
NEW REFORMED CALVINISM

Since 2006, we have documented the move toward Reformed Calvinism on the part of many BJU graduates, but it wasn’t clear where the school itself stood. That picture has now come into clear focus, and it is worse than we suspected. In October, BJU president Steve Pettit participated in the “Greenville Conference on Reformed Theology” at Second Presbyterian Church. The other two speakers were Joel Beeke and Richard Phillips. Beeke is a professor at Puritan Reformed Theological Seminary and Phillips serves on the board of The Gospel Coalition. On November 11-12, Andy Naselli was the guest speaker at BJU for the Stewart Custer Lecture Series. Naselli is a professor at John Piper’s Bethlehem College & Seminary and an elder of Bethlehem Baptist Church. Naselli is also on the staff of The Gospel Coalition. It is becoming more clear why Bob Jones University is building bridges to Keith Getty, who is a Reformed Calvinist and whose pastor, Alistair Beggs, is a prominent member of The Gospel Coalition. TGC represents the new Reformed Calvinism. Unlike old Reformed Calvinism, new Reformed Calvinism is ecumenical. The old Reformed men believed that Rome is the great whore of Revelation 17, drunken with the blood of the martyrs, but the new Reformed have ecumenical relationships with Rome, or at least are sympathetic to it. On the TGC web page “Should Christians Be Ecumenical,” we find the following: “Can evangelicals and Catholics truly be together? … Jesus’ prayer for unity in the Body obligates me to see the ecumenical task as important for Christianity” (by Trevin Wax, a Southern Baptist Wheaton College professor who associates with the Gettys). This is false. Jesus’ prayer in John 17 has nothing to do with ecumenism. In fact, Christ emphasized obedience to God’s Word and the importance of truth (Joh. 17:6, 8, 14, 17, 19), which are incompatible with ecumenism. Lou Martuneac makes the following observation, “What has BJU president Steve Pettit shown us by taking an active role in this conference, with these speakers? First, he has removed any lingering doubt of having led the University to embrace Reformed Theology. Second, The Gospel Coalition (TGC) includes men in its leadership who are some of the most egregious of ecumenical compromisers among the so-called ‘conservative’ evangelicals. … To any objective observer surely enough has been seen to erase any lingering doubt that BJU has abandoned its foundational, separatist principles. … The University has always been theologically broad. So–that’s not new. What is new is the association with compromised denominations that have never espoused fundamentalism” (“This Is Not Your Father’s Bob Jones University, A Continuation,” In Defense of the Gospel, Nov. 14, 2019).


MR. ROGERS, THE NICE CHRISTIAN

A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood, starring Tom Hanks, depicts the life of Fred Rogers, a Presbyterian minister who was famous for the children’s television program Mr. Rogers. He was “Mr. Nice” personified. He was always positive. He never condemned or offended anyone. He never called anyone a sinner, never commanded anyone to repent or perish, never warned of destruction. He had his own code of personal morality, but he didn’t judge anyone else’s. His most famous line was “Won’t you be my neighbor?” In fact, he didn’t even mention God on his program. Even The Daily Beast, an ultra-liberal, leftist, pro-abortion, pro-homosexual rights, pro-socialist news site, praises Mr. Rogers for his “niceness” in the report “Finally, Something Nice: Tom Hanks Playing Mr. Rogers May Save Us All” (Nov. 18, 2019). But the reason why Mr. Rogers’ Christianity appealed even to some atheists is that it was false. The true Jesus is far more loving than Mr. Rogers’ Jesus and also far more holy and just and righteous. The true Jesus is love incarnate, but He is not Mr. Nice by man’s standards. The true Jesus doesn’t smile at sin or overlook sin. He suffered and died for sin to make the atonement required by God’s holy law for sinners to be saved. He doesn’t offer “universal” salvation or preach the Fatherhood of God. He says, “Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God,” and He repeated it for emphasis (John 3:3, 7). The true Jesus isn’t all-positive, all-accepting. He said, “I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish,” and He repeated it for emphasis (Luke 13:3, 5). The true Jesus doesn’t preach heaven for all. He said, “And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched” and He repeated it five times for emphasis (Mark 9:43, 44, 45, 46, 48). The true Jesus called men evil (Luke 11:13). The true Jesus called some men fools and blind, full of hypocrisy and iniquity, serpents, generation of vipers (Matthew 23:13-33). This generation is in love with a false christ. It is the Hillsong christ, the Joel Osteen smiley-face christ. But it is an idol that is not real and cannot save and will be an eternal disappointment.

KEITH GETTY CONDEMNS THE 
“MODERN WORSHIP MOVEMENT”

In a recent interview with The Christian Post, Keith Getty gave a strong warning about the “modern worship movement.” He called it “a movement for cultural relevance,” “a de-christianizing of God’s people,” and “utterly dangerous.” He said, “This idea that Christianity is cool or easy is not biblical. It’s a misnomer for our generation. … An authentic generation doesn’t begin with catharsis; it has to begin with an authentic picture of the God of the Bible” (“Keith Getty: Modern worship mov’t is ‘utterly dangerous,’” The Christian Post, Nov. 9, 2019). We agree with this 100%, as far as it goes, but it is an ineffectual warning. It is ineffectual, for one thing, because it is spoken in generalities. Is Keith Getty talking about Bethel Church? Calvary Chapel? Casting Crowns? Steven Curtis Chapman? Christ for the Nations? Delirious? Kirk Franklin? Gateway Worship? Hillsong? Hosanna? Integrity? International House of Prayer? Maranatha? MercyMe? Newsboys? Michael W. Smith? Vineyard? Worship Central? The answer is, No one knows. In typical New Evangelical fashion, Getty’s strong-sounding warning is too vague to be effective. But then, to sound clear warnings would narrow a big tent ministry. Keith Getty’s warning is also ineffectual because of his radical ecumenism. He says this generation needs “an authentic picture of the God of the Bible,” but how does his friend Matt Maher give such a picture by believing in transubstantiation and praying to Mary the Queen of Heaven? How does Getty’s oft-quoted hero C.S. Lewis give such a picture by his rejection of Christ’s substitutionary atonement and eternal judgment? This list could be expanded greatly. Keith Getty’s warning is also ineffectual because of his eclectic, “use any music you please,” approach to music. He says, “Part of our campaign is to get our generation to know the great hymns of the faith.” That sounds commendable, but the Gettys have jazzed up the great hymns with a modern sound that doesn’t match the message of the words. Their concerts, even their Christmas concerts, such as Sing! An Irish Christmas, are out-and-out rock & roll fests with a pounding back beat and Irish dance music. It is sensual entertainment. It is highly emotional, but not holy. What do darkened auditoriums and floodlights and stage musicians and female worship leaders and big screen monitors and Christmas trees and Irish dancers and pounding drums have to do with the worship of a thrice holy God? I can’t imagine David putting on such a performance at the Tabernacle or Solomon at the First Temple or Nehemiah at the Second Temple or Paul at the church at Ephesus.
KANYE’S JESUS DIDN’T COME TO MAKE 
BAD MEN GOOD

Massively influential rapper Kanye West has professed a Christian conversion experience and is now preaching Jesus. West was a terrible blasphemer. He appeared as a thorn-crowned Jesus on the cover of Rolling Stone in 2006. His 2013 album was titled Yeezus, which is a play on West’s nickname Yeezy and the name Jesus. The cover art depicted West being crowned king by angels. In the song “I Am a God,” he raps, “I just talked to Jesus, and he said, ‘What up, Yeezus?” We would hope that this man has indeed been born again, but as a spiritual babe, at best, he has made a great error by keeping himself in the limelight and conducting church services. When he considered giving up hip hop because “that’s the devil’s music,” he was given the very bad advice by his pastor, Adam Tyson, that “you can rap about God.” At a recent concert with Kendrick Lamar, Kanye had a conversation with a man dressed up as Jesus. West said, “Jesus, I’m so sorry. I’ve been such a bad man.” The Jesus figure replies, “Kanye, don’t you know I didn’t come here to make bad men good. I came here to make dead men alive.” That is half-truth, and half-truths are extremely dangerous. While making bad men good is not the way of Christ’s salvation, making bad men good is most definitely the objective of salvation. The way of salvation is to receive the free gift of God’s grace without works, but the free salvation thus received produces good works. Ephesians 2:8-10 clarifies this common error in simple, clear, and precise language. “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. For we are his workmanship, CREATED IN CHRIST JESUS UNTO GOOD WORKS, WHICH GOD HATH BEFORE ORDAINED THAT WE SHOULD WALK IN THEM.” The present era is characterized by heaps of teachers who confuse the grace of God with moral license. It is a fulfillment of the prophecy of 2 Timothy 4:3-4, “For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.” The apostle Paul defined the true grace of God as follows: “For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; WHO GAVE HIMSELF FOR US, THAT HE MIGHT REDEEM US FROM ALL INIQUITY, AND PURIFY UNTO HIMSELF A PECULIAR PEOPLE, ZEALOUS OF GOOD WORKS” (Titus 2:11-15). Kanye would do well to heed Paul’s divinely-inspired teaching and reject every voice that speaks contrary to it.

AN ANALYSIS OF A “TOWN HALL” INTERVIEW MEETING WITH DR. STEPHEN PETTIT, THE NEW BJU PRESIDENT

On July 7, 2014, Dr. Steve Pettit, the new President of Bob Jones University was interviewed live in a town-hall format by Marshall Franklin, a BJU “Executive Vice-President,” concerning his goals and plans for BJU, an interview which the F. D. editor watched and took extensive notes. The following article is a personal analysis of this interview. 

THE POSITIVES 
1. CONVERSATIONAL TONE: Dr. Pettit maintains an excellent “conversational” speech tone rapport with his audiences. He possesses the personal demeanor of a congenial likable gentleman, who also has a unique sense of humor in his public remarks.

2. GENUINE SPIRITUAL BURDEN FOR STUDENTS: The new BJU President obviously has a genuine burden for the spiritual life of BJU students. He desires to “make the chapel program the highlight of the day” for students, a noble goal. [During his seven years as a BJU student, the daily chapel program was truly the “highlight” of the now F.D. editor’s day! Yours truly could hardly wait to get to his seat for those daily chapel sessions!] 
3. EMPHASIZES PREACHING: Dr. Pettit states that there is “no virtue in bad preaching.” He desires the best quality in the BJU pulpit and sincerely believes that students “need the old Bob Jones Sr. type sermons,” perhaps as much as any trait in the daily chapel sessions. 

4. DESIRE FOR REVIVAL: The BJU evangelist-president believes there is a great need to pray for revival. 

THE NEGATIVES 
1. ATHLETICS

The “BJU Bruins” athletic sign/symbol dominated the background for the town-hall program, located directly in the center of the backdrop. When questioned about inter-collegiate athletics, Dr. Pettit stated that it was “not a problem,” that it was a “wonderful thing” and that he was “for it.” He was glad that inter-collegiate sports has been “added” to the BJU program. It should and will received a lot of attention. 

[Fundamentalist Journal Ed: For 85 years, BJU successfully operated an “intramural” [in house] sports program only. Inter-collegiate sports has proven to be the spiritual death for every Christian college that has ever utilized it!!] 

2. ACADEMICS-ACCREDITATION

Dr. Pettit approves it. He noted that BJU has been accredited for 10 years by TRACS, a religious national accrediting association. He also stated that BJU is preparing to submit an application to the regional secular SACS, for which two years’ work will go into the process. 

Fundamentalist Journal Ed: Several decades ago, Dr. Bob Jones III wrote a booklet entitled Taking the Higher Ground: The Accreditation Issues from the Bible Point of View. In that booklet he unapologetically declared: “The compromises implicit in an unholy accreditation alliance may not appear at first, but it is evident that no man can serve two masters (p.4)….Regional accreditation is a sellout to the gods of the secular educational world (p.6).” Question: Who has changed? BJU or the Bible? It’s not the Scripture! 

3. BIBLE TEXT ISSUE

Dr. Pettit stated that he “understands” the Bible text “issue carefully,” since he has studied it for 35 years. Both BJU and he take the same stand “as what I was taught” at BJU. Dr. Pettit says he “holds [the] right position” on the Bible. According to Dr. Pettit, the “use or non-use of the KJV should be a non-issue” to Bible-believers. 

Fundamentalist Journal Ed: BJU adheres to the apostate critical text composed by Bible-denying liberals! The KJV is not a “non- issue” for discerning obedient perceptive Bible-believing Christians, it is a vital issue that correctly places professing Christians into two contrasting theological camps: The traditional Received Text—the text received by Bible churches down through the centuries, based upon 98.5 % of extant manuscripts, versus the Critical Text, the text concocted and promoted by apostate liberals based upon 1.5% of the manuscripts. 

An Important Omission 

In his answers, Dr. Pettit stated that at BJU there are three Bible texts that are sold and used: the KJV-NKJV and NASV. However, Dr. Pettit made an important omission: He failed to state that BJU sells the English Standard Version [ESV], 91.5% of which is word-for-word nothing less than the old liberal Revised Standard Version [RSV]. He also failed to mention that as of 2013, there were 20 shelve rows of ESV for sale at the campus book store [F.D. editor’s count], a number that is “inching” close to the number of KJV shelve rows! 

Dr. Pettit somewhat reluctantly noted that BJU has about 2850 students enrolled in the undergraduate and graduate divisions for 2014. This writer believes that this decreasing enrollment can be partly attributed to the fact that BJU has lost much of its former KJV Biblicist Fundamentalist constituency due to its defective Bible text stance. 

4. THE MUSIC ISSUE

When queried about BJU’s stance on the vital music issue, Dr. Pettit simply claimed that BJU took a “centrist” stance on music, a middle “balanced” stand, on which he never elucidated or made any qualifying remarks.

Another Notable Omission 

When given the opportunity to delineate BJU’s position on the essential music issue, Dr. Pettit simply claimed a “centrist” policy for BJU, never once clarifying what the term “centrist” might mean from a musical viewpoint. Here was a golden opportunity for the BJU president to state the university’s bold clear outspoken opposition to Contemporary Christian Music [CCM-religious rock!] and Dr. Pettit totally forfeited this choice to make a plain statement. CCM music is the music that is rapidly destroying the inner character of Bible-believing churches, yet the new BJU president did not make any statement of any kind about CCM’s destructive traits. 

Dr. Pettit’s silence here actually speaks volumes, since one of his closest friends, Dr. Fred Coleman., the “Department Head” [Dean] of BJU’s music division, recently produced a hymnbook that contains 30 hymns by Charismatic heretics whose associations include ecumenical R.C. and New-Age connections! Sadly, that hymnal was published by Dr. Pettit’s own publishing company, Heart Publications! 

5. CHANGES IN DRESS CODE

When asked about BJU’s changes in dress codes, Dr. Pettit readily admitted that BJU had made some changes, but claimed that those “changes in dress code” are “just like [the] changes in your local church,” and that BJU was “doing pretty good” in that regard. 

This writer readily admits that most local churches have made changes—gradual changes—over several decades in clothing apparel codes, but that these changes for the most part are for the worse, not the better! Apparel standards have dropped, and these lowering 

As he visits the BJU campus each year, this writer can readily note the gradually lowering apparel standards there. 

6. BJU’S RELATIONSHIP TO GREENVILLE, S.C. LOCAL CHURCHES 

Dr. Pettit rightly stated the importance of students knowing the importance of local churches to student’s lives, declaring that of the three most important influences on BJU student lives: (a) Bible classes (b) other classes and (c) local churches; that local churches played the most influential part in the students’ lives. 

He said he strongly supports the former BJU President’s choice to permit dorm students to attend local churches on Sunday morning. He said that he recently met with 52 pastors from Greenville, SC area churches and that it was his desire to work with “like minded” churches, However, he never defined what he meant by that term. 

The BJU President said that 17% of S.C. students at BJU come from just 10 Greenville, SC area churches, a fact in which he seemed greatly delighted. QUESTION: Are these 10 churches the same pro-BJU churches that have adopted the ESV and are now also utilizing pro-CCM/CCM music in their services and special music? [While he doesn’t possess exact statistics, there are about 10 Greenville area pro BJU churches that have done just that!] 

A Conflicting Dilemma? 

When Dr. Pettit was questioned about changes at Northland International University [NIU]. Dr. Pettit indicated that he had worked for nearly 30 years for the Northland Camp & Conference Center, 20 years as the evangelist and 9 years as the full-time camp director. He then declared that he would “not [say] one negative thing about a place I love,” but then said he was “uncomfortable with changes” taking place there. Ed: You can’t have it both ways! 

7. NO STATEMENTS OF ANY KIND ABOUT THE IMPORTANCE OF EVANGELISM, THE GREAT COMMISSION AND THE DEFENSE OF THE FAITH. 

Since BJU was built by Dr. Bob Jones Sr. on an intensely evangelistic soul-winning foundation and the corresponding militant defense of the faith, this writer was surprised that not even one time were either of these two dual Biblical emphases mentioned, suggested or even inferred by Dr. Pettit. Staunch BJU advocates might claim this was due to lack of time during the one-hour session, but this writer does not concur with that argument. 

CONCLUSION 

Old-line BJU grads who had hoped for a return to the Bob Jones Sr. type ministry at BJU will be gravely disappointed. In this writer’s view, Dr. Pettit is going to continue to pursue the same policies and practices that have been taking BJU down the wrong road for several decades. If you are looking for a Fundamentalist school to endorse and support, this writer suggests that you find a Baptist Bible institute or Baptist College that is owned and operated under a Baptist, N. T. local church auspices. 

ADDENDUM 

A local Greenville, SC newspaper contained a large picture and accompanying article of a high school senior, along with his family, with the article title that the young man “signs with BJU Bruins” to play “intercollegiate” basketball there while he majors in “Sports Management” at BJU. 

Fundamentalist Journal Ed: The public newspaper pictures from BJU all feature intercollegiate athletics. Where are the newspaper pictures for young men who sign up as “preacher boys” at BJU?

BJU MUSIC HEAD PROMOTES CONTEMPORARY WORSHIP MUSICIANS

(Friday Church News Notes, December 14, 2012, www.wayoflife.org, fbns@wayoflife.org, 866-295-4143) – I recently learned that Hymns Modern and Ancient, published by Heart Publications, a ministry of Steve Pettit Evangelistic Association, contains 29 songs by Keith Getty. The compiler, Fred Coleman, heads up Bob Jones University’s Department of Church Music. He writes positively of the Oxford Movement, which was a subtle and very dangerous back-to-Rome movement within the Church of England in the late 19th century. This shows a frightful lack of spiritual discernment on Coleman’s part, but to recommend both the Oxford Movement and contemporary worship is consistent, because they represent the same spirit, as we have documented in the video presentation “The Foreign Spirit of Contemporary Worship Music,” which is available as a DVD or a free eVideo download from Way of Life.Earlier this year we reported that Majesty Music’s Rejoice Hymns, features about 10 songs by Getty/Townend, as well as ones by David Clydesdale, Scott Wesley Brown, Steve Amerson, Bob Kilpatrick, and Chris Christensen, all of whom are out-and-out Christian rockers and radical ecumenists who are using music to build the end-time, one-world church. The inclusion of a contemporary song or two in a hymnbook in itself is not evidence of compromise. We all make mistakes and we are all learners. Exceptions aren’t rules, but the commitment to building bridges to contemporary worship on the part of many prominent music people among fundamental Baptists is quickly becoming the rule.
When people are informed of how dangerous contemporary worship music is and how that even the most “conservative” contemporary “hymn writers” are using their music as an ecumenical bridge to connect “traditional” churches with “the broader church,” as Getty/Townend have admitted, and instead of repenting of using it, they become the defensive and justify their actions, THAT IS CLEAR EVIDENCE OF COMPROMISE. Justifying the use of contemporary worship is a loud warning that a ministry is heading in the wrong direction, yea, a most dangerous direction. If you justify it, you are justifying the end-time apostasy that ALL of the mainstream contemporary worship musicians represent. You are justifying the breakdown in biblical separatism.
If you justify it, you will use more and more of it, and you will give your family and church an appetite for it, and you will build bridges to that extremely dangerous world: bridges over which your church will eventually walk. Those who are justifying the use of contemporary worship music are playing with fire. “The music drift continues in ‘fundamentalism’ as Bob Jones University, under new head Steve Pettit, hosted the men’s music group Cantus for their Artist Series, Jan. 27, 2015. I called the school because I have friends and family that attend BJU, but no one would talk to me and my call has not been returned. Cantus’ web site contains information about the performers. Tenor Zachary Colby says the person he most admires is Oprah Winfrey. Tenor Blake Morgan said that his idea of a great evening is ‘sunsets and craft beer’ and he is ‘a huge fan of vocal jazz.’ Tenor Aaron Humble is a homosexual who commutes from Minneapolis, where he works, to Seattle, where his ‘husband’ lives with their two cats. Tenor Shahzore Shah lives in Saint Paul with his ‘husband,” and his most admired living person is Thich Nhat Hanh, a Zen Buddhist master.” 

CONCLUDING NOTE FROM BRO. CLOUD: Someone wrote to Pastor Rogers with the following comment: “It is common knowledge that BJU has always had secular artist groups in as part of their Artist Series. This is hardly a ‘drift’ as it has been going on for decades. The University has a liberal arts philosophy that exposes the students to various classical expressions of art and culture. Whether you agree with it or not, it is nothing new and unsaved classical performers have always come to the campus for these events. … I believe the leadership also uses it as an opportunity to give the gospel to these accomplished performers.” In response to that I would say that I truly doubt that BJU has had open homosexuals with “husbands” as performers before. Therefore, this probably does represent a further drift and a sad milestone for the school. And though the “art” thing might explain their action, it doesn’t justify it before God. Sharing the gospel (assuming they do that) does not justify bringing unbelievers and mockers of God’s holy laws on campus to entertain Bible students. “And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them” (Ephesians 5:11).

CHICK-FIL-A FUNDS OTHER EXTREMELY LIBERAL ORGANIZATIONS LIKE THE SOUTHERN POVERTY LAW CENTER

Cowardice and Capitulation: 
Some shocking things Chick-fil-A funds

November 27, 2019 (Radiance Foundation) — There's a lot of talk about Chick-fil-A. Most of it is generated by the #fakenews establishment that wants nothing more than to demonize an organization that, historically, has publicly professed its Christian faith that is inseparable from its business practices.



"[We are] based on biblical principles, asking God and pleading with God to give us wisdom on decisions we make about people and the programs and partnerships we have. And He has blessed us."



Those were the words of Chick-fil-A's CEO, Dan Cathy, to the Baptist Press back in 2012 as he confirmed his biblical belief that marriage is between one man and one woman. 



Days later, a disgruntled activist violently took out his disagreement with Chick-fil-A by trying to kill as many people as possible inside of Family Research Council's (FRC) DC headquarters. According to the FBI interrogation, Floyd Lee Corkins chose FRC as a target because "Southern Poverty Law [Center] lists anti-gay groups. I found them online." So, Corkins stormed inside FRC's building, armed with a backpack full of Chick-fil-A sandwiches and 50 rounds of ammunition to "kill as many as possible and smear the Chick-Fil-A sandwiches in victims' faces, and kill the guard."



His heinous attack was stopped by FRC's security guard, Leo Johnson—a hero who was shot while stopping the terrorist attack. In 2012, Corkins was sentenced to prison for 25 years.



In 2017 Chick-fil-A donated money to the same corrupt SPLC that still outrageously lists FRC as a "hate group."



The Chick-fil-A Foundation's recent announcement about its future funding again reaffirmed its redirection and capitulation. It just so happens that the same three groups targeted for years by LGBT organizations as anti-LGBT "hate groups" just happened to be the same ones that would no longer be funded: The Salvation Army, Paul Anderson Youth Home and Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Chick-fil-A's press release acknowledges that these groups were "characterized as anti-LGBT groups" but never dispels that. They give excuses, basically, as to why they had funded these three remarkable organizations but would no longer.



For those defending Chick-fil-A and pretending we haven't witnessed their progression of capitulation, the Salvation Army sees it for what it is, stating in a press release: "We're saddened to learn that a corporate partner has felt it necessary to divert funding to other hunger, education and homelessness organizations." The Salvation Army does all three on a massive scale. But they don't espouse an LGBT ideology.



In explaining Chick-fil-A's funding decisions, Rodney Bullard, VP of Corporate Responsibility and Executive Director of the Chick-fil-A Foundation said: "We don't want our intent and our work to be encumbered by someone else's politics or cultural war. If something gets in the way of our mission, that is something that we are mindful of and cognizant of."



Has their mission drifted way to the Left? Out with organizations that do not espouse a pro-homosexuality ideology and in with those who do, like Covenant House. Don't let the Catholic association fool you, though. Covenant House, a homeless shelter for youth, takes pride in its promotion of all things LGBTQ. They even marched in the New York "Gay Pride" parade to show their inclusivity cred. Guess the Salvation Army (which admittedly has an issue with partially supporting abortion in cases of rape, incest and "life and health" of the mother) should've flown some co-opted rainbow colors to keep their hundreds of thousands in funding. Whoops. Looks like Covenant is the new Salvation. 



Chick-fil-A funds the deeply political YWCA, a radically pro-abortion and pro-LGBTQ organization that repeatedly partners with Planned Parenthood. 



Chick-fil-A also funds the DC-based New Leadership Council that identifies as a "hub of progressive millennial thought leadership" which exists to "support one another along their individual path to a more progressive political and cultural landscape."



Chick-fil-A has given a sizable donation ($50k) to The Pace Center for Girls, yet another pro-abortion organization. The education and advocacy group featured radical pro-abortion feminist Gloria Steinem (the "I Had An Abortion" activist who declared that birthing children is the "fundamental cause of climate change") as their keynote speaker for their most recent girls' Summit.



Or, how about Usher's New Look, R&B star Usher Raymond IV's liberal non-profit? The group's Disruptivator Summit is all about progressive community organizing on pivotal social issues, and Chick-fil-A funds it ($38,700 in 2017). 



Chick-fil-A also gives tens of thousands to Chris 180 ($27,500 in 2017, $25k in 2019), a pro-LGBT behavioral health and child welfare service agency. The organization boasts of being awarded the "Leader in Supporting and Serving LGBT Families and Youth from the Human Rights Campaign Foundation (HRC)." Nothing promotes human degradation quite like the pro-abortion HRC — the multi-million-dollar LGBT powerhouse that recently pushed for the legalization of prostitution in DC. 



You can always love and serve the broken without affirming the brokenness. 



And then there's Junior Achievement (JA), which inarguably does some phenomenal work with education and entrepreneurship. They're the recipients of hundreds of thousands a year from Chick-fil-A. In 2016, though, JA joined a coalition (Georgia Prospers) of pro-LGBT businesses in their "Too Busy to Hate" campaign to politically oppose religious liberty legislation (specifically the First Amendment Defense Act) from passing in Georgia. 



So much for "not being encumbered by someone else's politics or cultural war." These groups, and many more funded by Chick-fil-A, are clearly political and liberal. Of course Chick-fil-A funds a lot of great initiatives, but they're being publicly dishonest about their corporate evolution. And the millions of families who've supported them over the years, because of the fast food chain's principled stand, deserve to know the COWardice that the company has shown in the face of "progressive" activism.

Chick-fil-A funded anti-Christian org that inspired shooter to target Family Research Council

November 27, 2019 (LifeSiteNews) – Pro-family advocates are responding with shock to the revelation that the ostensibly religious food chain Chick-fil-A has funded several organizations with anti-Christian values on life and sexuality, including the far-left Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC). This comes as controversy grows over Chick-fil-A withdrawing its funding from Christian charities branded “anti-LGBT” by left-wing organizations.



For years, LGBT activists have attempted to brand Chick-fil-A as “hateful” due to CEO Dan Cathy’s stated opposition to same-sex “marriage” and the company’s past donations to social conservative groups such as Family Research Council and Focus on the Family. But while the company has no shortage of detractors in politics and media, the complaints fell on deaf ears among actual customers.



Nevertheless, the company announced earlier this month that it will stop donating to Salvation Army, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA), and the Paul Anderson Youth Home. These organizations have been attacked as “anti-LGBT” for taking traditional Biblical stances on homosexuality. Chick-fil-A says it wants to refocus its giving on the causes of education, homelessness, and hunger, through the organizations Junior Achievement USA and Covenant House, as well as to various community food banks.



“We don't want our intent and our work to be encumbered by someone else's politics or cultural war,” the Chick-fil-A Foundation’s Rodney Bullard said. “If something gets in the way of our mission, that is something that we are mindful of and cognizant of.”



However, as the Radiance Foundation’s Ryan Bomberger details, IRS forms reveal that Chick-fil-A has donated to several organizations on the other side of the culture war. These include the pro-abortion YWCA and Pace Center for Girls, the pro-LGBT Chris 180 and Junior Achievement, and the “progressive” New Leadership Council and Usher’s New Look.



But the most shocking revelation was a 2017 donation to the Southern Poverty Law Center, an organization dedicated to labeling mainstream Christian and/or conservative organizations—including Chick-fil-A itself—as “hate groups.” 



"Not only has Chick-fil-A abandoned donations to Christian groups including the Salvation Army, it has donated to one of the most extreme anti-Christian groups in America,” Family Research Council (FRC) president Tony Perkins said in a statement. “Anyone who opposes the SPLC, including many Protestants, Catholics, Jews, Muslims, and traditional conservatives, is slandered and slapped with the 'extremist' label or even worse, their 'hate group' designation.”



"Seven years ago, a shooter entered our building with the intent to murder as many people as possible and smear a Chick-fil-A sandwich in their faces,” Perkins continued, referencing the 2012 case of Floyd Lee Corkins II. “The gunman was enraged by the nationwide Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day held two weeks before and used the SPLC's 'hate map' to identify FRC as his target. Despite being seriously wounded, the FRC building manager, Leo Johnson, heroically stopped the gunman.”



“Dan Cathy, nor anyone with Chick-fil-A inquired about the well-being of Mr. Johnson or any of the FRC team members, but they made a donation to the SPLC which was linked in federal court to this act of domestic terrorism,” Perkins noted. “Chick-fil-A has seriously lost their way. It's time for Christians to find a fast food alternative to Chick-fil-A.”



On Tuesday, a coalition of conservative leaders wrote an open letter to Chick-fil-A CEO Dan Cathy expressing how “tremendously disappointed” they are in the company. Signatories include United Nations Human Rights Commissioner Kenneth Blackwell, Media Research Center founder Brent Bozell, Heritage Foundation president Kay Cole James, Liberty Counsel founder Mat Staver, Conservative HQ chairman Richard Viguerie, and many others.



"When you were under attack by the left in 2012, America's families stood with you," it notes. "We, the signers of this letter, stood with you, and many of us urged our supporters to do the same. We helped form long lines at your stores, stretching out the doors and around the buildings, in many cases.” But “your latest decisions to withdraw charitable giving to the Salvation Army and other Christian charities has betrayed the very people who stood with you.”



You have instead allied yourself with a bully-tactic leftist movement that will never be satisfied with your compromises,” the letter warns. “There is a growing list of American corporations that have discovered, with  each new compromise, leftists only become more emboldened in their attacks.”

Candace Owens: Thank you to David Horowitz for having me here.  I was just going to share that this really is the conference where everything started for me.  How many of you guys were around when I was here?  Wow.  I was running around; it was just two short years ago.  It feels like a lifetime ago, and I did, I started my career, my political career on YouTube making just funny, satirical videos, and I got an email from David Horowitz inviting me to this conference, and let me just tell you what a big deal it was for me.  I had no connections whatsoever. 



I was running around, trying to introduce myself to everyone and to network with every, single person in the room, and there is a very funny story, of course.  I did a panel, which was entitled Why I Left the Left, and on the panel was me, Dave Ruben and Tammy Bruce, if you guys remember that, and Tammy Bruce didn't realize that the video that I had done, which was me acting, it was called Mom, Dad, I'm a Conservative, and I was playing myself as the mom and a dad, and I was basically getting at that today it's harder to come out as a conservative to your family than it is to come out as lesbian and gay, but it was a skit, and I was acting, and in the middle of the panel, nobody really knew who I was.  Tammy said, "Isn't this incredible that we have an all gay and lesbian panel up here?" and I was too nervous to correct her, so then I spent the next 2 days of the conference people, I'm such a courageous lesbian, and I was like, "I'm not a lesbian.  That was just a skit," so it was some damage I had to reverse for the next couple of years. 



It was okay, I just got married, and that put the rumors to rest, but I'm so grateful, and that is correct.  I met Charlie Kirk here and spend about a year and a half with his organization going across the college campuses, which are really just glorified nurseries.  If you guys have not just visited a college campus yet, if you think it's bad, it's probably a little bit worse, and we had a really amazing time, and I was so grateful for the experience, but then it became apparent to me that when I first met Charlie here, he asked me what I wanted to do, and my answer was really clear and succinct.  I said, "I want to lead the revolution for black America against the Democrat party." 



Thank you.  I've always had that vision, and we made so much progress, but as we were on those college campuses, I realized that the majority of black Americans never make it to college campuses, and more had to be done, and I knew that if we were going to really make a change, really make a change in Black America and get them to embrace conservative principles, it was going to have to be a cultural change.  The thing that I knew as soon as I got into this was that black Americans are the lynchpin of the Democrat party.  They rely upon our vote every 4 years.  If they get 85 percent of our vote in 2020, they lose.  That is how much they rely upon our vote.  Hillary Clinton got 89 percent of the black vote in 2016.  If they dip to 84 percent, their party is finished, so we're talking about swinging the black vote five points, and for me, I said, "That's the vision." 



I want to move the black vote 20 points by 2020.  I think we can get 20 percent of the black vote in 2020.  So then I had to think about how, how am I going to do that, and my husband came up with a great analogy about the Democrats and about the Left.  He said, "They're a bit like the Titanic", this massive ship, and they've run around so arrogant for so long, and thought not even God can sink this ship.  Not even God can sink the ship of the Democrat party.  The amount of arrogance that has come out of them, and they were going through the waters, chopping through the waters, and they hit a little iceberg, and that iceberg was little old me, and they did what they always do.  They smeared, the liabled me.  I think they're calling me now the nation's first black white supremacist. 



The amount of leaps you have to take to get there, and people go, "How do you put up with that, Candace?  How do you remain so courageous and so positive?" and I mean really think about it.  If they're getting to the point that they're calling black people white supremacists, we have to be close to winning, right?  But in thinking about how, how they managed to sell our own demise really to the black community, you have to understand that they really had a stranglehold on culture for so long.  Everything that you see on TV is really done at the expense of conservatives, and I wanted to create a movement that would reverse engineer exactly what the left has done to black America, just beneath that little iceberg that they hit, which was me, is really 60 years of Democrat policies that have destroyed black America, policies like the welfare policies and Lyndon Bane Johnson's Great Society Act, which has literally incentivized bad behavior.  I mean think about it; there's a government job where people walk around and ring the doorbell and make sure that the father does not live inside of the home.  Back in the 1960s, Patrick Moynihan's report came out, and they said there was an epidemic in black America because 23 percent of black Americans were growing up without a father in the home.  This was thought of as an epidemic in the 1960s, 23 percent. 



Today, that number is 74 percent in the black community, and nobody's talking about it.  Nobody's talking about what's really killing black America.  So I said, "How am I going to bring that to the forefront?" and many of you know that the end of last year I teamed up with Prager University.  We have Allen Estrin here, please give him a round of applause, the Executive Director of Prager U.  It really has been just the most wonderful organization to work with, namely, because they understand me, and they understand that what we're fighting for is changing culture, and they really are fighters, and with my show, The Candace Owens Show, we have brought forth so many guests.  So many people have demanded that the show be taken down, and they remain so strong in defending me and standing on the principles of conservatism and really trying to take back all of the turf that we have lost in culture over the last 60 years.  Through the Blexit Movement, that's exactly what I'm trying to do. 



I'm trying to make it fun; I'm trying to make it cultural; I'm trying to remind people that it's okay for conservatives to use humor.  It's okay for conservatives to be funny.  People ask me all the time what are the points of frustration because I remain so positive all the time, and I tell them that early on, the first hit piece that was ever written about me wasn't written by a leftist tabloid; it was written by the Right.  It was written by the National Review.  They were writing an article about my YouTube videos which were all funny and all light, and they said, "This is the sort of conservatism that we need to reject." 



They didn't find my videos to be intellectual enough, and I remember reading that article and just being so disappointed; disappointed because they weren't realizing that that sort of a thought process is the reason that conservatives were losing for so long.  Who I was sitting for dinner asked me a question.  She said, "What changed you or how did you arrive at who you are and have such clarity and perspective in your viewpoints?" and I wasn't always like this, and what I was telling her was that I arrived at conservatism very slowly.  It was introduced to me very slowly all throughout my life, and many of you have heard me speak about my grandfather, who is the biggest source of inspiration of in my life.  You may have seen him sitting behind me at the Congressional testimony.  Did any of you guys see that, with Ted Lieu?  When I say my grandfather is my biggest inspiration, I'll give you an example of what I mean, so when Charlie and I would go on college campuses, one of the things that I would do first was look around the room and just ask a simple question before we got started.  I would say, "Okay everybody, before we get started today, I just want to ask a very simple question. 



How many people in this room believe that America is a more racist country today in 2019 than it was 60 years ago?" and at least 70 percent of the hands would go up, and I'd go, "Wow.  Wow."  Think about that.  Think about the educational brainwashing that is taking place that is convincing people that America is a worse country today racially than it was 60 years ago, and this really is the thing that inspired me the most.  This mindset is something that not infuriated me, but frustrated me very much because I grew up in my grandfather's home, and my grandfather grew up when there was actually real racial tension in America.  My grandfather grew up on a sharecropping farm when there was segregation in North Carolina. 



My grandfather grew up, and his first job was when he was 5 years old, laying out tobacco to dry on that sharecropping farm before the sun would go up because otherwise, it would be too hot under the Carolina heat.  My grandfather also picked cotton, and my grandfather faced the real KKK.  At night, they would come in, and they would spray bullets inside of the home, and even when my grandfather talks about those instances to this day, he talks about it from a position of pride.  He never sounds like a victim.  He says, "They'd come around and they'd shoot, and my daddy would grab a shotgun and shoot back at them boys."  Right?  I mean think about that.  When my grandfather moved up north, he was 17 years old.  He didn't mean to move up north.  He saw my grandmother on a trip up north, and that was it for him.  He married her, and he stayed in Connecticut, and my grandmother and my grandfather remained married until her dying day in 2013, and I was blessed, I really do believe that the turning point started in my life that, when during my formative years, I grew up in their household, and my grandfather had so many rules.  I mean, it was ridiculous.  He really ran a tight ship. 



Every single morning, we had to read the Bible.  It was just very simple.  My grandfather believed in God.  That was the thing that ran his life day in and day out, and he wanted all of his grandchildren to grow up with that same messaging, and I always say that me and sisters genuinely believed that my grandfather had a direct line to God.  We were convinced he had a direct line to God, and something that he would always do, which always made us nervous, is that he would incorporate us into the prayer.  So, if we did anything wrong throughout the day, he would incorporate us into the prayer, and one particular night, which I always remind my grandfather of today, I had turned the heat up in the middle of the night. 



I had got cold, and I didn't know what I was pressing, but we were not allowed to touch the heating system at all, and I did it in middle of the night, and I went back to sleep, and in the morning, I went down for breakfast.  My grandfather would make a big southern breakfast every morning; grits, eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes.  I should be clinically obese.  I don't know how I'm not, and he got around to praying and he said, "Dear Heavenly Father, please help Candace to remember shouldn't be touching the heat," and I instantly got up from the table, and I ran upstairs and I started crying, and when he followed me, I just looked up at him, and I said, "Granddaddy, why did you have to tell God?" and we genuinely believed that, that whenever he prayed it was a direct line, and God knew and saw everything, and it was such an interesting way to grow up. 



Of course, when I went through the public school system, though, I was very embarrassed about that, because when you are growing up in a secular lifestyle, you're not supposed to believe in God.  We have sort of arrived, very suddenly, into an atheistic culture.  People are mocked.  Our Vice President is mocked for respecting his wife and for believing in Jesus Christ.  Do you remember when Joy Behar mocked him for those things?  It wasn't cool.  It wasn't hip for me to believe in God, and I wanted to reject so many of the things that my grandfather and my grandmother had taught me.  So first and foremost, my grandfather believed in God.  The second thing that my grandfather believed in was family.  Everything we did was together. 



In the home, my grandfather would take us church, he would dress us, he would open doors for us.  We would lay out clothes, what we wanted to wear, and it was just so important to him that the family was always together, and we went on holiday together, and the third thing that my grandfather believed in, which is going a bit out of fashion today, is hard work.  Never, ever once growing up in his household did my grandfather ever utter a bad word about a white person.  He would say, "That's just the way things were."  I simply did not learn how to be a victim.  I never learned it.  My grandfather had a deep reverence and a deep respect for all of the opportunities that were afforded to him if he simply just worked hard.  The update on my grandfather and my grandmother is that about 15 years ago, they retired, and they moved back down south to Fayetteville, North Carolina, and my grandfather purchased the sharecropping farm that he grew up on.  What that is, what my grandfather did, that's the American Dream, right? 



That's the American Dream.  America is unique in that you can come to this country with the clothes on your back, and if you work hard, and if you stay out of trouble, you can make something of yourself in this society.  That is what we fight to protect.  America is an idea, and it's a philosophy.  That's what unites us.  We're not united based on race or sex.  We are united on the philosophy, that idea of hard work and that idea of freedom, and every single day when I fight, I think about my grandfather, and I think about Black America, and I say, "Wow."  Imagine a world where Black America wakes up, and they realize that the Democrats have lied and have used and have abused us for the last 60 years. 



Imagine a world where black Americans stop viewing themselves as separate from America and realize that we are Americans, too.  First and foremost, we are all Americans.  The Democrat party would collapse and so too would all of these wild Leftist issues, which I believe, at the root of all of them is the intended breakdown of family.  When I think about the LGBT now QRSTUV movement, because they're just adding a letter every year, I think.  I think, "What are they doing here?" 



Why do we have a society, when you think about toxic feminism, which we're seeing more and more of, why do we have a society that wants to turn women into men and men into women?  Why do we have a society that's promoting these issues like trans children?  What are they really getting after?  It's the breakdown of family.  Why do we have a society that is promoting atheism?  What are they really getting after?  Well, it's the breakdown of family.  They're trying to destroy the family unit because that's really the only way that government can grow.  You have to believe in nothing in order for them to continue to grow government.  You have to continue to turn to government.  You have to worship government as the end-all, be-all.  All of the solutions you think have to come from government, and the experiment with that philosophy started with black America in the 1960s.  The systematic removal of our fathers from the home.  Look where it's led us. 



Look where it has led Black America without having that pillar and that structure.  It's horrible, and it's saddening, but I believe strongly that it is something that we can reverse actively in 2020, and it's happening, and I'll tell you why I know it's happening; because they're scared.  When I see articles calling me the Dems' worst nightmare, thank you very much, but when I see these reaches, referring to me as a white supremacist, when I see these attacks saying that I support wild dictators, or that I hate myself, or that I've internalized misogyny, what I see is their fear.  When I see their candidates get on stage and say, "We'll give you reparations," what I hear is their fear.  I mean, how desperate is that? 



They're literally saying to Black America, "Here, take our money.  Just take it.  Forget it.  Forget everything.  Please, just don't leave us."  They're terrified.  They know that everything can collapse if Black America wakes up, and so I launched the Blexit Movement, the Blexit Foundation, which stands for the black exit from the Democrat party, and I'll tell you what happened when I did that.  I said okay, we're doing Blexit and instantly, I got a bunch of emails and messages from Latinos, and they said, "You're not leaving us.  We're going to be the L in Blexit," and I said okay, okay, and they showed up in Los Angeles, and then I got a bunch of email from Asians, and they said, "Can we turn Blacksit, can we make it black Americans and Asians exiting the Democrat party?" 



Isn't that wonderful?  So many different groups of people are waking up, and I just want to wrap this by thanking so many people in this room, and I see some of my Blexit people in the back.  You guys, stand up.  These people, these students.  The bravery that it takes.  I mean, what these people fight, what we have to fight at home, that really is the hardest part, having to deal with the fact that people don't know what to do with you when you think for yourself and when you think for freedom, but I'm inspired every single day, and I keep going thanks to stories like yours.  You gave one of the most beautiful prayers that I've ever seen at the White House, Mahallod  Really, when it went viral, it was absolutely beautiful, and from the heart, and your story is so encouraging, and I want to encourage you to keep going, and to the people in this room, the people that believed in me. 



I mean really, when I came here a couple of years ago, it has been the most humbling thing in the entire world, to come back and to have received the Annie Taylor Award last year, to come back and to be welcomed to speak on this stage, the encouragement, and I want to tell you guys this.  When I first got started on YouTube, I got contacted by a random person in San Francisco, and I had no plan, and he told me to set up a Patreon account, which allows you to accept small donations from people all over the United States, and that Patreon account kept me going.  He mailed me a $500.00 check and said, "Keep going, and keep going."  I want you guys to remember that there are a lot of Candace Owenses in America right now that are feeling inspired and that want to keep going, and simple acts of kindness, like little donations that make it so they can make their rent next month, can create something way bigger than you ever expected, so thank every single person in this world for supporting me, for supporting Blexit, and I can't wait to make this thing the biggest thing possible in 2020 and to finally sink the Titanic of the Democrat party.

“Oberlin College Students Erect Memorial to Palestinian Islamic Jihad Terrorists,” Algemeiner, November 24, 2019:





Anti-Zionist students at Oberlin College in Ohio erected a memorial last week commemorating the death of multiple Palestinian Islamic Jihad terrorists.



Oberlin Students for a Free Palestine shared in a Facebook post on Thursday that it had installed a display in “commemoration of the 34 Palestinians killed by Israeli rocket fire this last week” in Wilder Bowl, a central outdoor space on campus where students often congregate.



A sign explaining the display stated, “Last week, Israel unleashed violent airstrikes on the Gaza Strip to assassinate Bahaa Abu al-Atta and his wife on Tuesday, November 12th. In the process, killing 34 unarmed Palestinian civilians, including 8 children.”



“Oberlin Students for a Free Palestine and Oberlin Jewish Voice for Peace have created this installation to commemorate the lives of these 34 Palestinians who died at the hands of Zionist Settler Colonialism,” it continued. “We list the names and ages of those who were lost on each black flag.”



The allegation does not accord with casualty tolls shared by international observers and the involved parties, including those in the Gaza Strip, which largely acknowledge that a majority of fatalities were members of Palestinian Islamic Jihad, an Iranian-backed terrorist organization that is blacklisted by the United States, European Union, and others. The group aims to replace Israel with an Islamic Palestinian state, and has taken responsibility for suicide bombings and other attacks targeting Israeli civilians.



The most recent flare-up began after Israel assassinated Baha Abu al-Atta, a senior Islamic Jihad commander, which led to an escalation that saw more than 450 rockets and mortars fired from Gaza at Israeli communities, and dozens of Israeli airstrikes on Islamic Jihad targets.



Palestinian sources have said 34 people were killed in the fighting, 16 of whom were civilians, including several children. The Israeli military has said that around 25 of the fatalities were members of terrorist organizations, and shared photos of some in Islamic Jihad fatigues. It also announced an investigation into a strike that killed eight civilians, the brother of an Islamic Jihad operative reportedly among them.



On the other side of the border, nearly 60 Israelis sustained injuries or received treatment for shock, while several rockets that were not intercepted by the Israeli military damaged homes, businesses, and roads.



The display erected by Oberlin Students for a Free Palestine, which advocates for boycotts, divestment, and sanctions (BDS) against Israel, did not mention Palestinian Islamic Jihad. In a Facebook post earlier this month, the student group said it would “shout the names of those that the IDF has killed,” listing Abu al-Atta and multiple other Islamic Jihad members, again without referring to their affiliation with the terrorist group.



BDS organizers on and off university campuses have long been accused of ignoring or supporting the goals and activities of terrorist groups like Islamic Jihad, Hamas, and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine.

November 24, 2019 (LifeSiteNews) – In sending out a tweet about the Gospel reading from Friday’s Mass, Fr. James Martin, SJ chose to share a painting drawn from a series of blasphemous homoerotic works depicting the life of Jesus as if he were a gay man.



“Gospel: Today Jesus drives the money-changers from the Temple (Lk 19). NT scholars say this was one of the main events that precipitated his execution,” tweeted the Jesuit. “Yet Jesus is not cowed by opponents. Another Gospel says ‘zeal’ for his Father's house ‘consumes him.’” 




And Fr. Martin knew exactly what he was doing, because in a later tweet he credited the artist: “Image, Douglas Blanchard.”



While this painting is jarring because an effeminate Jesus is depicted turning over the money changers’ tables in a contemporary setting, other paintings in the series show an overtly sexualized version of Jesus in various Gospel stories.  



The painting is one of a set of 24 by homosexual artist Douglas Blanchard, used to illustrate a book titled, “The Passion of Christ: A Gay Vision.” 



While the Amazon description of the book is appallingly offensive not just to all Christians, but to the Person of Jesus Christ and God the Father, Fr. Martin nonetheless chose to use one of the Blanchard paintings to illustrate the Gospel.

Meet Jesus as a gay man of today in a contemporary city with The Passion of Christ: A Gay Vision. In stunning new images, the modern Christ figure is jeered by fundamentalists, tortured by Marine look-alikes, and rises again to enjoy homoerotic moments with God. 





The “fundamentalists” who jeer Christ are no doubt meant to be those who abide by Church teaching and reject the normalization of homosexuality within the Church.  



But far more appalling is the suggestion that Jesus rose again “to enjoy homoerotic moments with God,” a notion to which Fr. Martin lends tacit approval by drawing from the Blanchard series of paintings. The homoeroticizing of the passion of the Christ is blasphemous.   



The Amazon description continues:  





The 24 paintings in the gay Passion cover Jesus' final days, including his arrest, trial, crucifixion, and resurrection. A queer Passion is important now because Christianity is being used to justify hate and discrimination against lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people. Each image is accompanied by insightful commentary, plus a short prayer and scripture. If Jesus came back today, would he be crucified all over again? Would we even recognize him? See for yourself in the gay vision of the Passion.





The tweet is perhaps an admission by Fr. Martin of his ultimate intent as well as an admission of the anti-Christian and anti-Christ intent underlying the LGBT cultural movement: To co-opt the message of the Gospel, to dethrone Jesus Christ in the hearts and minds of Christians, and to install homosexuality and transgenderism in His place. 



Twitter users respond: ‘You would be the first one that Our Lord would drive out of His house’



Many challenged Fr. Martin’s tweet.



“What would St. Faustina say about this when her own artist couldn’t do justice to the image of Jesus? What would our MOTHER say to this depiction of Her precious Son who was beaten mocked starved of water & crucified the most painful death by our sins?” asked Lizzy. “What does she think of this?”

While all of Blanchard’s illustrations are disturbing, portraying the main theme of the Gospel message as homoerotic, perhaps the final three paintings in the series are the most troubling.

In “the Ascension,” Jesus is shown as a shirtless male in the embrace of a male angel who grasps Jesus’ buttocks. Same-sex attraction and homosexual sex acts are shown to be the primary purpose of the incarnation, passion, resurrection, and ascension of the Second Person of the Blessed Trinity.   



In Blanchard’s depiction of the Day of Pentecost, The Holy Spirit descends on an urban group in the form of a woman.



Jesus ‘comes out of the closet’



Author Kittredge Cherry explains the dark meaning of the final painting, which depicts the Trinity. Cherry’s explanation veers far from the immutable Truth about the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. It is a “Holy gay wedding.”

An angelic figure blesses a gay couple in “The Trinity,” the final, climactic image in Blanchard’s Passion of Christ. The painting can stand alone to affirm the holiness of gay couples, but it also serves as a meditation on the Christian Trinity.





She continues: 





The couple holds hands before a table set with milk, honey, and fruit — references to the Promised Land. The man draped in red reaches toward out, coaxing the viewer to join them in the sunny garden. The winged woman in the golden robe is the same Holy Spirit who arrived in the previous painting. An arch in the background hints at the gate of heaven. Indeed viewers are welcome to imagine themselves seated in paradise with Christ as their bridegroom.  



“The Trinity” shows how Jesus has been transformed by his experience of the Passion. He moved from the dark prison of the first painting to a bright land of promise, out of the closet, into the streets, and on to holy bliss. He completed the mythic hero’s journey: martyred and reborn with power to redeem the world.





Heaven: The holy gay wedding feast?



Kittredge said the final painting depicts the “holy gay wedding.” 





What is the gay vision of heaven? The Holy Spirit inspires each person to see visions of God in his or her own way. Look, the Holy Spirit celebrates two men who love each other! She looks like an angel as She protects the male couple. Are the men Jesus and God? No names can fully express the omnigendered Trinity of Love, Lover, and Beloved… or Mind, Body, and Spirit. God is madly in love with everybody. God promises to lead people out of injustice and into a good land flowing with milk and honey. We can travel in the same paths where Jesus journeyed. Opening to the joy and pain of the world, we can experience all of creation as our body — the body of Christ. As queer as it sounds, we can create our own land of milk and honey. As Jesus often said, heaven is among us and within us. Now that we have seen a gay vision of Christ’s Passion, we are free to move forward with passion.





The LGBT movement is not benign. It is now brazenly revealing itself to be the most grave satanic threat to the Church today, and Fr. James Martin, SJ is leading the coup attempt within the Roman Catholic Church.

Accused bike path terrorist Sayfullo Saipov told a Manhattan federal court judge Monday he doesn’t respect his authority — while prosecutors said they want to empanel an anonymous jury to oversee the death penalty case. “The orders issued here have nothing to do with me,” Saipov told Judge Vernon Broderick through an Uzbek interpreter. “I am following orders of Allah, who gave me life.” The comments followed a hearing regarding jury selection ahead of the alleged ISIS militant’s trial for driving a truck down a crowded bike path on Halloween 2017, killing eight people. Saipov stood as he spoke, wildly gesticulating as he asked Broderick why he was sitting in judgement of him “for the eight people killed” and “not those who are killing thousands and millions of Muslims over the world.” Broderick eventually cut off the 31-year-old, and told him a judge’s role was more like that of a “referee.”

Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham (ISIS)

[SDNY] On Oct. 31, 2017, Sayfullo Habibullaevich Saipov drove a rented pickup truck into cyclists and runners on a bike lane and pedestrian walkway in Lower Manhattan, New York City. The vehicle-ramming attack killed eight people and injured 11 others. A flag and a document indicating allegiance to the terrorist group Islamic State of Iraq and a-Sham (ISIS) were found in the truck. Saipov, who had immigrated to the United States from Uzbekistan in 2010, was charged in a federal complaint with destruction of a motor vehicle and providing material support to a terrorist organization. Federal prosecutors are seeking the death penalty of a jury convicts Saipov. The Halloween Day attack was the deadliest in New York City since the 9/11 attacks. Saipov has pleaded not guilty but may change his plea to guilty and accept a life imprisonment if the government agrees not to seek his execution.

Any honest and objective appraisal of Islam’s historic jihad on the Christian world must be eye-opening, to say the very least.  In the first century of its existence (between 632-732) Islam permanently conquered, Arabized, and Islamized nearly three-quarters of the post-Roman Christian world, thereby permanently severing it.  Europe came to be known as “the West” because it was literally the remaining and westernmost appendage of Christendom not to be swallowed up by Islam.



For roughly a millennium thereafter, Arabs, Berbers, Turks, and Tatars—all of whom called and saw themselves as Muslims—launched raid after raid, all justified and lauded as jihads, into virtually every corner of Europe.  They reached as far as Iceland and provoked the U.S. into its first war as a nation.  The devastation was indescribable; some regions in Europe, particularly in Spain and the Balkans, remain uninhabitable due to the incessant raiding.  Some 15 million Europeans were enslaved during this perennial jihad and, according to contemporary records, treated horrifically.



In short, “if we … ask ourselves how and when the modern notion of Europe and the European identity was born,” writes historian Franco Cardini, “we realize the extent to which Islam was a factor (albeit a negative one) in its creation.  Repeated Muslim aggression against Europe between the seventh to eighth centuries, then between the fourteenth and the eighteenth centuries … was a ‘violent midwife’ to Europe.”



Here the inevitable question arises: How could such a long, well-documented history of unmitigated Islamic aggression that had immense repercussions on the development of Western civilization now be presented as the antithesis of reality?



The answer revolves around a number of modern philosophies—from the Enlightenment to moral/cultural relativism—that have each contributed to an all-pervasive “Narrative” concerning the historic relationship between Islam and the West.  In presenting the West as aggressor and Islam as victim—hence the latter’s ongoing “grievance”-based animosity—this history is as entrenched as it is the reverse of reality.



To understand this, one must first understand that, despite its many manifestations, permutations, and emphases over the centuries, the Narrative’s unspoken driving force has largely been the same: to demonize and thus justify a break away from Europe’s traditional heritage, religion, identity, and mores.  If this sounds farfetched, consider: whereas by any objective standard the West is responsible for practically every boon taken for granted today—from scientific, technological, economic and medicinal advances, to the abolition of slavery and anti-discrimination laws—today no people of any race or civilization despise their heritage except Western people.    Clearly something is amiss.



Or consider how leftists/liberals/progressives who forever whine against any vestige of Western traditionalism, habitually make common cause with Islam—despite the latter’s truly oppressive qualities.  Thus feminists denounce the Western “patriarchy”—but say nothing against the Muslim treatment of women as chattel; homosexuals denounce Christian bakeries—but say nothing against the Muslim execution of homosexuals; multiculturalists denounce Christians who refuse to suppress their faith to accommodate the religious sensibilities of Muslim minorities—but say nothing against the entrenched and open Muslim persecution of Christians.



The reason for these discrepancies is simple:  “The enemy [Islam] of my enemy [Christianity] is my friend.”



From here, how and why such a formally well-known history of Muslim aggression against Europe was not merely suppressed but reversed should start making sense: of all non-European, non-Christian peoples, only Muslims lived alongside and interacted with (that is, constantly encroached and warred on) Europe for over a millennium; this made Muslims the only people—the only foil—that could be used to support the Narrative’s argument against premodern Europe.  But first an intellectually satisfying way of casting Muslims as victims not conquerors was needed.



Enter literary professor Edward Said’s 1978 book, Orientalism.  Its central thesis is that the Orientalists—the Europeans who began the academic study of the East centuries ago—were not writing objectively about Muslims and their history, but rather intentionally slandering and stereotyping them in order to justify dominating them during the colonial era.



This made perfect sense—but only because the postmodern Western mind had already been primed for it.  For if, as Marxist Materialism teaches, ideas/religions have no influence on history (and thus, economic want, not “jihad,” caused Muslims to expand); if, as Relativism and its spawn Multiculturalism teach, there are no absolute truths, religious or otherwise (and thus no culture or civilization is “better” than another); if, as pop psychology teaches, violent and negative behavior is always a product of societal injustices (and thus the more Muslims behave violently, the more that only proves they are frustrated victims)—then what does one make of the aforementioned centuries of European writings that uniformly depict Muslims as ideologically driven by violence and lust?



Simple: dismiss them all as bigoted and hypocritical lies by nefarious Christians and Europeans intent on demonizing a superior, more tolerant faith and civilization.   Thus a whole new academic approach to Islam—stripped of all historic writings not conforming to the Narrative—was born.  History would no longer shape ideas and attitudes; rather, preexisting ideas and attitudes—wishful thinking—would shape history.



Bernard Lewis, himself a target of Edward Said’s Orientalism, summarized this new approach—or “pseudo history”—well:





According to a currently fashionable epistemological view, absolute truth is either nonexistent or unattainable.  Therefore, truth doesn’t matter; facts don’t matter.  All discourse is a manifestation of a power relationship, and all knowledge is slanted.  Therefore, accuracy doesn’t matter; evidence doesn’t matter.  All that matters is the attitude—the motives and purposes—of the user of knowledge, and this may simply be claimed for oneself or imputed to another.  In imputing motives, the irrelevance of truth, facts, evidence, and even plausibility is a great help.  The mere assertion suffices” (Islam and the West, 115).





Orientalism’s success lay less in anything intrinsic to it—American classicist Bruce Thornton characterizes it as an “incoherent amalgam of dubious postmodern theory, sentimental Third Worldism, glaring historical errors, and Western guilt”—and more because it fit the West’s prevailing zeitgeist (which, of course, thrives on “dubious postmodern theory, sentimental Third Worldism, glaring historical errors, and Western guilt”).



Nor does the Narrative predominate today because people are well read or pay attention to academe; as French historian Marc Ferro demonstrated in his Cinema and History (1988), the overwhelming majority of Western people’s knowledge of history comes from movies.  And almost any major film dealing with premodern Europeans and Muslims—Robin Hood (1991), Kingdom of Heaven (2005), etc.—contrasts hypocritical, intolerant, and fanatical Christians with sophisticated, advanced, and tolerant Muslims.   Commenting on such films back in 1997, Lewis wrote, “The misrepresentation of the past in the cinema is probably the most fertile and effective source of such misinformation at the present time…”



Twenty years later the Narrative has only metastasized and infected all aspects of public life, including politics and so-called “mainstream news.”   Meanwhile, social and other media giants—YouTube, Google, Facebook, Twitter—increasingly censor material that contradicts the Narrative.



Such is how a previously well-known history was turned upside down and used to weaken the West—the greatest sin of which is ever again to think or behave like its “awful” ancestors did concerning Islam.

The canine who led a special forces raid on ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi was recognized by the president at the White House Monday.
Conan, a Belgian Malinois, appeared with the president, Vice President Mike Pence and First Lady Melania Trump on the steps of the Rose Garden, where Trump lauded the dog as a fierce warrior.
“Conan did a fantastic job. We’re very honored to have Conan here,” Trump said, as Pence stood by petting the pup.
“Conan came over from the Middle East — just arrived with some of the great people from the special forces that did the – it was a flawless attack,” the president said. “And al-Baghdadi is gone. That was a flawless attack and I just met quite a few of them. And we just gave Conan a medal and a plaque.”
Trump added that other members of the special forces team could not be publicly celebrated “for obvious reasons.”
“But they did a fantastic job. Conan did a fantastic job. We’re very honored to have Conan here.”
The president also described Conan as a vicious attack dog when it needs to be.
“They were going to put a muzzle on the dog, and I thought that was a good idea, but then it gets even more violent,” the president joked. “But no, the dog is incredible. Actually incredible. We spent some good time with it. So brilliant. So smart.”
Trump also said he asked Conan’s handler how a “strong man” might fare against him.
“What chance would a strong man have, a really strong tough fighter, what chance would this person have against Conan without the guns?”
“The answer pretty much was none — he would have no chance,” he said. “Conan is a tough cookie. Nobody’s going to mess with Conan.”
Trump also joked to a Reuters reporter he was lucky Conan was in a good mood.
“You’re very lucky he’s not in a bad mood today,” Trump told reporter Jeff Mason.
There was some bad news for people who have been calling on the Trumps to adopt Conan, according to Fox News:
At one point while the first lady and Conan were walking back toward the White House, a reporter asked if she had any interest in adopting Conan as a pet for her son Baron, and she laughed before replying, “no.”

“Protecting America’s Schools” by Preemptively Branding Certain Children as Potential Threats

A small percentage of teens who are depressed or bullied will respond with violence. After reading a recent report on school violence from the U.S. Secret Service, however, you’d be led to believe that every one of them is a potential mass-murderer.



“Secret Service research findings [indicate that] targeted school violence is preventable,” the U.S. Secret Service’s National Threat Assessment Center (NTAC) Director James Murray writes in a new NTAC report. All schools have to do is treat any student in any sort of distress as a potential danger to everybody else and respond accordingly. That sounds nice, but the plan completely ignores the potential for traumatizing innocent students.



Titled “Protecting America’s Schools: A U.S. Secret Service Analysis of Targeted School Violence,” NTAC’s report claims that administrators and teachers in the country’s publicly funded schools must take steps to preempt the possibility that any student who shows signs of depression or isolation be mobilized toward terrorizing his tormentors in a violent manner.



The Secret Service would have teachers and administrators set a tone of taking the threat of armed violence very seriously and thus increasing the depth and breadth of the monitoring and reporting of “concerning” behavior.







Lest any reader believe that this story on the Secret Service’s report is exaggerated, here are a few relevant quotes from the NTAC reports:



This approach is intended to identify students of concern, assess their risk for engaging in violence or other harmful activities, and implement intervention strategies to manage that risk. The threshold for intervention should be low, so that schools can identify students in distress before their behavior escalates to the level of eliciting concerns about safety.



Because most of these attacks ended very quickly, law enforcement rarely had the opportunity to intervene before serious harm was caused to students or staff. Additionally, many of the schools that experienced these tragedies had implemented physical security measures (e.g., cameras, school resource officers, lockdown procedures). Prevention is key.



The call here is to manage students already under the pall of being “special needs” by placing them under a suspicion of being likely to kill many of those with whom they associate in these government-funded and managed “schools.”



So, just what sorts of behavior and thoughts — yes, thoughts — are those which must be recorded and reported so that they do not lead a student to kill his classmates? The Secret Service claims:



The observable mental health symptoms displayed by attackers prior to their attacks were divided into three main categories: psychological (e.g., depressive symptoms or suicidal ideation), behavioral (e.g., defiance/misconduct or symptoms of ADHD/ADD), and neurological/developmental (e.g., developmental delays or cognitive deficits). The fact that half of the attackers had received one or more mental health services prior to their attack indicates that mental health evaluations and treatments should be considered a component of a multidisciplinary threat assessment, but not a replacement. Mental health professionals should be included in a collaborative threat assessment process that also involves teachers, administrators, and law enforcement.



The U.S. Secret Service is calling for teachers, administrators, and law enforcement to single out, isolate, and treat as a threat any student who suffers from any one of the listed mental distresses. 



As a former teacher in a public school (it was styled a “charter school,” but it was funded by and dictated to by the federal government), I can tell you that the number of students who, according to the above list, would qualify as a person with a potential — a likelihood — of coming to school with the intent of murdering his peers and his teachers is disturbingly high and would serve to preemptively punish dozens of students with the taint of being potential mass-murderer.



I can personally witness that with rare exception — so rare as to be statistically irrelevant — every one of the students I taught who were being treated for any of the mental ailments listed by the Secret Service were good, humble, and hard-working young people without desire or capacity to carry out the terroristic acts of violence the federal agency that authored the NTAC report warned they might commit.



Next, we will look at two of the “risks” that the U.S. Secret Service insists must be “assessed” by administrators and teachers if they are going to stop the next school shooting before it occurs: family life and access to weapons.



First, family life. As stated in the Secret Service report:



The field of study examining adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) finds that experiencing certain adverse events in childhood can result in a range of negative outcomes later in life, particularly when a child experiences multiple ACEs. ACEs include things like parent separation and divorce, substance abuse in the home, family violence, abuse, family incarceration, and family mental illness.



The Secret Service lists the following household “difficulties” as contributing to the likelihood of a young person one day coming to school with the purpose of murdering his associates:



• Bankruptcy 



• Eviction



• Homelessness 



• Failure to Pay Child Support 



• Foreclosure 



• Fraudulent Check(s) 



• Lien



• Low Income 



• Poverty



How many of our young men and women come from homes burdened with economic distress?



Finally, there is the familiar call for disarmament as a surety for safety:



Most attackers used firearms, and firearms were most often acquired from the home: Many of the attackers were able to access firearms from the home of their parents or another close relative. While many of the firearms were unsecured, in several cases the attackers were able to gain access to firearms that were secured in a locked gun safe or case. It should be further noted, however, that some attackers used knives instead of firearms to perpetrate their attacks. Therefore, a threat assessment should explore if a student has access to any weapons, with a particular focus on weapons access at home. Schools, parents, and law enforcement must work together rapidly to restrict access to weapons in those cases when students pose a risk of harm to themselves or others.



It will come as no surprise to regular readers of The New American that the U.S. Secret Service subtly called for the removal of guns from the homes of all those who are believed — by teachers and administrators in public and charter schools — to be on the brink of unspeakable crimes against their classmates.



Here’s the way the Secret Service sees the situation with regard to children who come from homes with weapons:



Eight of the attackers (32%) acquired a firearm on the day of the attack. Five additional attackers (20%) acquired a firearm the day before the attack, and four attackers (16%) acquired a firearm between two and seven days prior. This finding reinforces the importance of a swift response to situations involving students who may pose a risk of harm to themselves or others, especially those who have access to weapons in the home.



Just how and by whom will the children of gun owners be identified and their violent proclivities be neutralized? The U.S. Secret Service declares: “If a child poses a risk of harm to him/herself or others, it is the responsibility of parents, law enforcement, and schools to collaboratively determine the most appropriate avenue for ensuring that the child does not have access to weapons.”



Are schools now to be given the authority to make sure a child with other contributing factors does not have access to weapons in the home?



How many of you have children in public/charter schools? How many of those children have been diagnosed with one of the disorders listed above? How many of you own weapons? How many of you will leave your children in those public/charter schools knowing that the federal government that controls them has now publicly called on teachers and administrators to help ensure that your children aren’t allowed to stay in a home with access to weapons?



How much longer will conservatives, Christians, constitutionalists, and others committed to the preservation of limited government and the sanctity of the family continue to support these government schools by sending their children to them?

And just as Jesus rose from the dead, so can any person be made alive eternally by believing in Jesus Christ, the Son of God for the forgiveness of their sins. Our sincere prayer was for the light of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to enter Kanyes heart and for God to work a miracle in bringing him to believing faith in the Savior.

By God’s grace, Kanye has humbled himself to submit himself to serving Jesus Christ. By his own professed words, he is seeking to glorify God, use his music to share the Gospel and share the Christian faith.





“Every time I stand up…I feel I’m drawing a line in the sand to say ‘I’m here to serve God and no weapon formed against me shall prosper.’”  (source).





In the face of Kanye’s profession, there has been a flurry and frenzy of responses in the Church. Excitement, hesitancy, doubt and skepticism have all been seen in the millions of social media posts regarding Kanye’s conversion. This article will address the many doubts and challenges that have been brought towards Kanye West. 



DID KANYE REALLY BECOME A CHRISTIAN? IS THIS A HOAX?

 “Then they cried out with a loud voice, and stopped their ears, and ran upon him with one accord,And cast him out of the city, and stoned him: and the witnesses laid down their clothes at a young man’s feet, whose name was Saul. And they stoned Stephen, calling upon God, and saying, Lord Jesus, receive my spirit. And he kneeled down, and cried with a loud voice, Lord, lay not this sin to their charge. And when he had said this, he fell asleep.



And Saul was consenting unto his death. And at that time there was a great persecution against the church which was at Jerusalem; and they were all scattered abroad throughout the regions of Judaea and Samaria, except the apostles. And devout men carried Stephen to his burial, and made great lamentation over him. As for Saul, he made havock of the church, entering into every house, and haling men and women committed them to prison.” – Acts 7:57-60; Acts 8:1-3





The Apostle Paul, whose birthname was Saul, was originally a Pharisee who hated the Christian Church with a passion. When the Apostle Stephen was murderer unjustly, the killers laid his garments at Saul’s feet. He hunted Christians to imprison or kill them. And yet, in a moment, he encountered Jesus Christ and changed forever:





“And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus: and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven: And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks. And he trembling and astonished said, Lord, what wilt thou have me to do? And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do.” – Acts 9:3-6





Just that quickly Saul was transformed from a Christ-hating, murderous, blasphemous enemy of the faith, into a humbled, tender-hearted believer. Jesus spoke to him and blinded him, commanding him to wait 3 days for God to reach out to him once more.  But what is particularly striking and relevant for this study is when a faithful Christian named Ananias was commanded by God to go and greet the newly-converted Saul:





“And there was a certain disciple at Damascus, named Ananias; and to him said the Lord in a vision, Ananias. And he said, Behold, I am here, Lord. And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the street which is called Straight, and enquire in the house of Judas for one called Saul, of Tarsus: for, behold, he prayeth, And hath seen in a vision a man named Ananias coming in, and putting his hand on him, that he might receive his sight.







 Then Ananias answered, Lord, I have heard by many of this man, how much evil he hath done to thy saints at Jerusalem: And here he hath authority from the chief priests to bind all that call on thy name.”





Notice the response from Ananias as he speaks to God directly. Like Kanye, Saul was famous, or rather, infamous. Saul was known throughout the church as an enemy who would jail anyone who dare utter the name of Jesus Christ. In his flesh, Ananias had a knee-jerk reaction to question the salvation of Saul, even though God Himself was telling him to go see the new convert to the faith. Ananias was likely very scared that he would end up in jail or even worse if he went anywhere near Saul. But God encouraged him:





“But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel: For I will shew him how great things he must suffer for my name’s sake.”  





With God’s reassurance, Ananias went and notice the way he greeted Saul





“And Ananias went his way, and entered into the house; and putting his hands on him said, Brother Saul, the Lord, even Jesus, that appeared unto thee in the way as thou camest, hath sent me, that thou mightest receive thy sight, and be filled with the Holy Ghost.” – Acts 9:17





Notice that Ananias called Saul “Brother.” This is one of the most important verses in the Bible. Ananias, trusting only God’s power to radically change the heart of Saul in a moment, fully embraced this persecutor of the Church as a brother. Kanye has promoted sinful rebellion, fornication, materialism, covetousness and the occult. This website has chronicled his blasphemy against the name of Jesus. And yet, he never persecuted the church. He never consented to the murder of a Christian. And yet just for making sinful music, so many have casted doubt and aspersions on him.



WE NEED TO WAIT AND EXAMINE THE FRUITS OF KANYE WEST TO SEE IF HE IS TRULY SAVED




Reformed Pastor Justin Peters encouraged his followers to “hold off” on believing in Kanye’s testimony until he “tested” thoroughly. There is no Biblical support for this position whatsoever.



“Nothing worse than a hypocrite
Change, he ain’t really different
He ain’t even try to get permission
Ask for advice and they dissed him
Said I’m finna do a gospel album
What have you been hearin’ from the Christians?
They’ll be the first one to judge me
Make it feel like nobody love me
They’ll be the first one to judge me
Feelin’ like nobody love me” – Kanye West, Hands On



The notion that Christians should withhold judgment on Kanye’s conversion because we have to wait to “examine his fruits” has also been a very common reaction to Kanye’s profession of faith. And it is also one that is highly unbiblical. “By their fruits ye shall know them” is one of the most misquoted and misapplied verses in the church today. Let’s examine the verse in context:





“Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.



A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.” – Matthew 7:15-20





The subject of Jesus’ warning is quite clear: false teachers. The Lord specifically said they “come in sheep’s clothing” – meaning, their outward behavior would appear Christian, but their teachings and doctrine would be contrary to the sound teachings of Jesus. Notice, many, many Christians use this verse to state the exact opposite of what Christ said – namely, that we should examine the outward behavior of someone professing to be a Christian to determine if they are truly saved.



This is a serious misunderstanding of the text. In this passage Jesus states that the false teacher’s behavior will definitely, appear to be righteous and Christian. That is not the issue. The “fruits” are what they teach – that is how you identify them. Charles Spurgeon wrote this on this passage:





“By “fruits” are meant, not so much their external works in life and conversation; for a false prophet may so behave, as not to be discovered thereby. So the Pharisees were outwardly righteous before men; and false teachers among Christians may have the form of godliness, and keep it up, though they are strangers to, and even deny the power of it: but their doctrines are here meant, and the effects of them.



When doctrines are contrary to the perfections of God, repugnant to the Scriptures of truth, tend to depreciate the person and offices, blood, righteousness, and sacrifice of Christ, to lessen the glory of God’s grace, to exalt the creature, and to fill men’s minds with notions of the purity, self-sufficiency, and ability of human nature; when they are calculated to feed the pride and vanity of men, to get money, and gain applause, to serve their own interests, and gratify men’s lusts and passions, they may be easily discerned who they are, and from whence they come.” (source).

Kanye has made it clear that he is not a pastor and not looking to head a church. He refers to himself as a “new convert” stating he was saved in April 2019. Since that time:


    

  • He has now renounced making secular music.
    • 

  • He has stated that he is no longer an entertainer and see himself as a servant of God.
    • 

  • He pledged to only make Gospel music.
    • 

  • He has held “Sunday Service” concert events where he only plays his newer music that is God-honoring, clean and Gospel promoting.
    • 

  • He attends weekly Bible studies with a pastor who initially spent three hours explaining the Gospel to him. (source).
    • 




So, what if TMZ posts a video this weekend of a drunken Kanye cursing out someone in the street?  Does that now “invalidate” his faith? Is that the “bad fruit” that “proves” he is not saved? God forbid, or else we would all be disqualified from Christianity as all Christians still sin in some form or fashion (whether other people are there to witness it or not). Rather than being “fruit inspectors” we should rejoice that God has turned the heart of another lost soul.



KANYE NEEDS TO RENOUNCE HIS OLD LIFESTYLE AND GIVE ALL OF HIS MONEY AWAY





“Switch my, switch my attitude
I’m so, I’m so radical
All these people mad at dude
This for who it matter to
What if Eve made apple juice?
You gon’ do what Adam do?
Or say, “Baby, let’s put this back on the tree” ’cause
We have everything we need.” – Kanye West, We Have Everything We Need (source).





Some Christians have stated Kanye needs to retract and renounce everything he has done in his worldly career and return the many millions of dollars he has made to “establish” he is “truly” a Christian. Again, where is this in the Bible. Did Ananias wait for Saul to renounce his prior lifestyle? Did Saul go to every church he persecuted and apologize? No. Once God restored his vision, he immediately went share the Gospel:





“And when he had received meat, he was strengthened. Then was Saul certain days with the disciples which were at Damascus. And straightway he preached Christ in the synagogues, that he is the Son of God. But all that heard him were amazed, and said; Is not this he that destroyed them which called on this name in Jerusalem, and came hither for that intent, that he might bring them bound unto the chief priests? But Saul increased the more in strength, and confounded the Jews which dwelt at Damascus, proving that this is very Christ.” – Acts 9:19-22





When the Ethiopian eunuch asked the Apostle Philip what he needed to do in order to be baptized, Philip responded:





“And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized? And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. And he commanded the chariot to stand still: and they went down both into the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him.” – Acts 8:36-38





What did the eunuch need to do? Did he have to renounce his former lifestyle? Did he have to demonstrate and show the change in his behavior? Did he have to go and make atonement to everyone he had done wrong in his life? No, he merely had to confess that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. This beloved should be our standard.



Jesus Christ stated clearly: “…The kingdom of God cometh not with observation: Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.” – (Luke 17:20-21).  Salvation happens in the heart. No Christian can identify the moment of another’s conversion. And it is not for us to judge if the conversion truly happened. It is a supernatural experience that is not visible to the human eye. We are to accept professing Christians based on their very profession, not on fruits, or works righteousness or other unbiblical requirements added on to salvation by grace alone. 

For several months Kanye has paid for his hundreds of choir sings, musicians and producers to travel across the country for his Sunday Service performances. He also held a Sunday Service performance at 2 Harris County Texas prisons, bringing his God-glorifying music and Gospel preaching to inmates:







IS KANYE’S NEW OPERA NEBUCHADNEZZAR AN ILLUMINATI SATANIC DECEPTION?

Some websites have gone so far as to try to paint the entire conversion of Kanye West as a satanic deception. Now The End Begins, a ministry that seeks to point out issues that affect the end times has been obsessed with the Kanye story, posting 9-10 articles in 2 weeks on the converted rapper. One of their most recent focused on Kanye’s decision to produce an opera called “Nebuchadnezzar.”  Here is a statement from their article:





“The Kanye West deception is slick and smooth, and he has a huge portion of the church eating out of his hand. He is so sure of his ability to deceive that he has the boldness to create an opera dedicated to a type of Antichrist, and proudly call it ‘Nebuchadnezzar’. Nebuchadnezzar is not a good guy, he is a bad guy of the highest order, and this is how Kanye West sees himself, as a type of Antichrist. He even had his designer create promotional material showing what they thought was the evil and terrible ‘image of gold’ that Antichrist Nebuchadnezzar forced the people to worship. (actually they put King Darius as the artwork instead of Nebuchadnezzar, but you get the idea). And what was the name of the magazine where Kanye first broke this news? It’s called Pitchfork!



If you cannot figure this out by now you are not only deaf, dumb and blind, you are likely unsaved as well.  Wake up, church, wake up, the wolf is not only at the door he is now inside your house.” (source).





The first thing to notice is the angry, haughty tone of this excerpt. Scripture says: “But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth.” (Colossians 3:8). Secondly, it is inaccurate. King Nebuchadnezzar, when introduced in Daniel Chapter 2, was a pagan, idolater king in Babylon, who would not hesitate to order the death of anyone who upset him in the slightest. Beginning And End chronicled how this king was so satanic in his behavior that he even foreshadowed the Antichrist. However, over the course of 3 chapters of the Bible, he comes to know, understand praise the true God of the Bible.



Daniel Chapter 4 is a chapter penned by Nebuchadnezzar himself in which he explains how God gave him a dream of a great tree being cut down to a stump. The prophet Daniel interpreted the dream to be a direct reference to Nebuchadnezzar and his sinful rebellion against God:





“Nebuchadnezzar the king, unto all people, nations, and languages, that dwell in all the earth; Peace be multiplied unto you.  I thought it good to shew the signs and wonders that the high God hath wrought toward me.  How great are his signs! and how mighty are his wonders! his kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and his dominion is from generation to generation.  I Nebuchadnezzar was at rest in mine house, and flourishing in my palace:  I saw a dream which made me afraid, and the thoughts upon my bed and the visions of my head troubled me.” – Daniel 4:1-5





The Babylonian King dreamed of a supernaturally all and flourishing tree overshadowed all the nations of the earth. But in the next moment, angels called Watchers appeared who announced that the tree should be cut down to the stump for seven years. The prophet Daniel interpreted the dream and told the king that the tree was a symbol of Nebuchadnezzar himself and that if he continued to be a sinful, prideful and wicked king, God was going to punish and humble him:





“This is the interpretation, O king, and this is the decree of the most High, which is come upon my lord the king: That they shall drive thee from men, and thy dwelling shall be with the beasts of the field, and they shall make thee to eat grass as oxen, and they shall wet thee with the dew of heaven, and seven times shall pass over thee, till thou know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will.” – Daniel 4:24-25





Nebuchadnezzar eventually did boast in the kingdom of Babylon being won by his own power and might and the prophetic dream was fulfilled. In a moment, he was transformed into an animal-like being with long claws, hair and feathers and lived like an animal for 7 years. After being restored to his right mind, he professed faith in God:





“And at the end of the days I Nebuchadnezzar lifted up mine eyes unto heaven, and mine understanding returned unto me, and I blessed the most High, and I praised and honoured him that liveth for ever, whose dominion is an everlasting dominion, and his kingdom is from generation to generation:



And all the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing: and he doeth according to his will in the army of heaven, and among the inhabitants of the earth: and none can stay his hand, or say unto him, What doest thou?



At the same time my reason returned unto me; and for the glory of my kingdom, mine honour and brightness returned unto me; and my counsellors and my lords sought unto me; and I was established in my kingdom, and excellent majesty was added unto me.



 Now I Nebuchadnezzar praise and extol and honour the King of heaven, all whose works are truth, and his ways judgment: and those that walk in pride he is able to abase.” – Daniel 4:34-37





Does this sound like the words of a pagan? No. The king was humbled by God during those 7 years, saw God’s supernatural word come true right before his eyes and emerged humbled and praising The Lord as a result. This can only happen through faith.

Nebuchadnezzar also wrote Daniel chapter 4. The entire chapter is his decree following this incident.  Here are some of the most studied and popular commentaries on the authorship of Daniel 4:





Adam Clarke Commentary: “This is a regular decree, and is one of the most ancient on record; and no doubt was copied from the state papers of Babylon. Daniel has preserved it in the original language.”



Jonathan Wesley Commentary: “Daniel here sets down another strange relation in the words of the king’s own proclamation, sent to all his vast kingdoms, and put into the king’s archives, and court-rolls.”



Jonathan Gill’s Exposition Of The Entire Bible: “This chapter was written by Nebuchadnezzar himself; and was either taken out of his archives, or given by him to Daniel, who under divine inspiration inserted it into this work of his; and a very useful instruction it contains, showing the sovereignty of God over the greatest kings and potentates of the earth, and this acknowledged by one of the proudest monarchs that ever lived upon it.”





Kanye stated the was once prideful like Nebuchadnezzar which led to the inspiration for the Opera:





“Nebuchadnezzar was the king…And he looked at his entire kingdom and said, ‘I did this.’ And God said, ‘Oh, for real? You did this?’ Sounds kind of similar, right?” West explained, according to Forbes. “I’m standing on the tip of the mountain talking about Yeezus. Saying, ‘I did this!’ That I’m a God! And I would—I could talk to Jesus at the end of my show. I had (laughs) a guy dressed up as Jesus, at the end of my show.”





Notice West is comparing himself to Nebuchadnezzar in that they were both full of sinful pride. This was exactly what Beginning And End detailed in our article The Rise And Fall Of Kanye West. He is acknowledging his sin and mockery of Jesus Christ. This is repentance. And rather than try to “sniff fruits” and question, we should rejoice that a man who promoted sin, blasphemy, the occult and even compared himself to Jesus, is now turning from that lifestyle and publicly proclaiming his faith in Christ.



REJOICE AND GIVE KANYE GRACE IN THIS TIME

So, what if Kanye slips up? What if he goes to the church of Joel Osteen (someone this ministry has gone into detail exposing his false teachings)? Well, for the pastors who embrace sound doctrine and criticize Kanye (a babe in the faith) for doing this we say this – invite him to your church. Go on social media and publicly invite Kanye West to your service to speak to him and minister to him. Welcome him with open arms.



How are we as Christians supposed to treat gang bangers, strippers, drunks, adulterers, ex-convicts and other “unpopular groups” in worldly society when they enter the doors of our churches? How do we treat the gay person or transgender person who comes to us and says they believe in Jesus or have questions and want to learn more? We should rejoice! We should be excited that the light of Christ has led that person to seek The Lord.



Even if they don’t understand the Bible fully. Even if they are still keeping one foot in the world, we should embrace them. Do you doubt God’s power to humble and convert Kanye West? Do you think there is any sin-promoting pop star who is “too far gone” to serve Christ? Is anything too hard for God?  Trust His Word. Like Ananias, trust the power of Christ. Celebrate the unbelievers who come to Christ. We should comfort them. We should love them. Lord willing more Christians will do this for Kanye West.

(Front Page Magazine) — Chick-fil-A’s announcement that it was dumping the Salvation Army and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, which have come under attack by gay activist groups, caught Christian fans of the fast food chain by surprise. It shouldn’t have if they had been paying attention to CFA’s corporate structure.



The donations were coming out of the Chick-fil-A Foundation. The Executive Director of the CFA Foundation is Rodney D. Bullard, a former White House fellow and assistant U.S. attorney. Some may have mistaken him for a conservative because he was a fellow in the Bush Administration, but he was an Obama donor, and more recently, had donated to Hillary Clinton’s campaign while at Chick-fil-A.



Like many corporations, Chick-fil-A branded its charitable giving as a form of social responsibility. Bullard became its vice president of Corporate Social Responsibility. Unlike charity, corporate social responsibility is a leftist endeavor to transform corporations into the political arms of radical causes. …

Christian persecution in the public school classroom has struck again.

In the latest stunning sign of the war against the Christian faith in public school classrooms, a North Carolina teacher has been suspended for dividing her classroom by faith to ridicule the children who believed in God. This outrageous, bigoted action serves as just the most recent evidence of the hostility towards Christianity that is being expressed in public schools all over America.

Rather than teaching her students Spanish, Julia Lopp opted to single out believers in God.

Julia Lopp, who teaches Spanish at South Johnston High School, first grouped the students based on their religious beliefs, and then questioned them about whether they supported or opposed abortion rights, WTVD reported.



She then she asked them where they stood on LGBTQ rights and beliefs, according to The Johnston County Report.



She’s accused of verbally ridiculing students who said they believed in God, according to the report.



Lopp also allegedly warned her students that if they reported her actions, she would “not recommend them for a job or even entrance to college,” WTVD reported.



As the school district investigated, Lopp, who was hired as a Spanish teacher in August, was suspended with pay, according to the report.



“This is an unfortunate incident and one I wish had not happened,” Superintendent Dr. Jim Causby said in a statement. “It is never appropriate for a teacher to segregate students based on religious, political or personal beliefs. In fact, it is not appropriate for a teacher to even ask a student what their beliefs are.” (source).





THE BIBLE ON END TIMES PERSECUTION





“If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you. Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also.” – John 15:18-20 The Lord Jesus Christ predicted that Christians will be despised for their faith by the unbelieving world. What Ms. Lopp did is a prime example. As a Spanish teacher, questioning the faith of students, their stance on abortion and LGBT issues is not only unethical, it is completely irrelevant to learning the language of Spanish. Beginning And End has detailed many of the incidents in which teachers either challenged the faith of students, bullied those that expressed Christian views and even promoted Satan. Among the examples:




    

  • An Indiana elementary school teacher sent a letter home to parents ordering them to forbid their kids from discussing God during their free time in her classroom.
    • 

  • A North Carolina elementary school forced a student to remove the word “God” from a Veterans’ Day poem about her grandfather who served in the Vietnam war. (source).

  • A 10-year old elementary student wrote about Jesus for an essay with the open question: “Who do you look up to?” Her teacher not only refused to accept the essay she told the girl the poem could not remain on school property. (source).

  • A state college professor in Florida told students to write the name of Jesus on piece of paper and stomp on it as part of a required class assignment. (source).
    • 

  • A public school Vice Principal in Pennsylvania bullied, cursed and threatened two teenagers on camera because they were holding up signs opposing abortion on a public street corner near his high school. (source).

BE VIGILANT AND CONTEND FOR THE FAITH





“Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.” – Jude 1:3 Christians and parents especially need to be vigilant about the many anti-Christian incidents, assignments and teachings being done in public schools all over the United States and in other countries. Now more than ever, teachers are taking liberty to go well beyond the curriculum, school rules and decency to overtly challenge, discredit and blaspheme the Christian faith. Even if it means suppressing the First Amendment rights kids have in public school to express their religious beliefs at class-appropriate times.  Do not take it for granted that you know what your children’s school is or is not doing. A recent report notes that a Michigan chapter of Covenant House International, a faith-based homeless charity which is also inclusive and affirming of homosexuals, was photographed in August taking a woman to an abortion facility in Detroit. Covenant House International was one of the recipients of the 2019 Chick-fil-A True Inspiration awards, and the chicken chain just announced this week that it would be “expanding” its partnership with the organization in 2020 in addressing youth homelessness.



The Catholic news outlet Church Militant reported in September that pro-lifers standing outside of Summit Medical Center — which according to its website, performs abortions up to 24 weeks — were “shocked” upon seeing a Covenant House Michigan van arrive at the facility.



A young woman then exited the vehicle and was greeted by sidewalk counselors who offered her help. “It’s just a follow-up,” she responded, but also hesitated at the door, according to two individuals who spoke with Church Militant.



“All indications were that she was going in for more than that,” one man, who has 10 years experience sidewalk counseling, stated. “She stared at me with the door open like she was trying to weigh what I was offering her. Her entire appearance showed interest in what I was saying.”







He said that the driver of the vehicle also remarked, “I’m just doing my job.” A photograph was taken of the vehicle at the facility as proof.



Even if the woman wasn’t at Summit for an abortion, sidewalk counselor Lynn Mills opined, one would not utilize its services “even for a hangnail.”



She contacted Covenant House Michigan about her concerns, and received a response declaring, “To be unequivocally clear, Covenant House Michigan does not counsel young women to receive abortions not facilitate abortion on their behalf.”



The non-profit also released a statement saying that while it could not comment on the specifics of the matter due to a desire to protect the woman’s privacy, the organization identifies a pro-life.



“We understand that a photograph of our van was taken on the street where Summit Medical [Center] is located and then shared on social media,” it acknowledged. “Because we consider it our top priority to respect and safeguard the human dignity and personal sanctuary of our young people, we will not comment on personal information medical or otherwise, received by the young people in our care.”



“But that said,” Covenant House Michigan added, “it is our clear, long-standing policy and practice to respect the dignity of every human life.”



Covenant House International was founded in 1972 by Roman Catholic priest Bruce Ritter, who later resigned over accusations of sexual and financial impropriety. Its website identifies itself as a faith-based organization that assists “homeless, runaway and at risk youth.”



The current president, Kevin Ryan, also a Catholic, was appointed in 2015 by then-President Barack Obama to serve on the White House Advisory Council on Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships. He was likewise present for President Trump’s signing of a human trafficking bill last year, which Covenant House had backed.



“Just as Christ in His humanity is the visible sign of God’s presence among His people, so our efforts together in the covenant community are a visible sign that effects the presence of God, working through the Holy Spirit among ourselves and our kids,” the charity’s website reads in part.

However, as previously reported, Covenant House International has a page on its website dedicated to “LGBT Youth and Homelessness,” which outlines its efforts both nationally and internationally to “ensure that our houses are welcoming, affirming, and safe for LGBTQ youth.”



A press release also “proudly” announces “that the True Inclusion Assessment to increase lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and questioning (LGBTQ) inclusivity has been completed throughout 16 US and Canadian Covenant House programs.” Another page provides photographs from Covenant House International’s participation in the NYC pride parade, as its float was trimmed with rainbow colors.



In 2016, Ryan told the Windy City Times that he believes the organization has made strides in regard to being welcoming to homosexuals.



“They (Covenant House) have support from LGBTQ individuals and organizations. They have openly gay people on their international board of directors,” the outlet explained. And Ryan’s own brother, Owen Ryan, the executive director of the International AIDS Society in Geneva, Switzerland, identifies as homosexual.



“This movement is about celebrating young people for exactly who they are — gay, lesbian, transgender, straight,” the Covenant House president stated. “We don’t use the narrative of tolerance. It is about connecting kids to their authentic selves.”



In a post this past May, Chick-fil-A highlighted the work of Covenant House International, including a specific notation about Covenant House California’s work to assist youth who are kicked out by their parents after coming out as homosexual.



“A 2017 Chapin Hall report found that LGBTQ youth disproportionately experience homelessness. In fact, LGBTQ young adults had a 120% higher risk of reporting homelessness, even though they make up just five to 10 percent of the overall youth population,” the chicken chain wrote.



“In California, Covenant House California — also a 2019 True Inspiration Award winner— is partnering with the True Colors Fund and enhancing its services to LGBTQ youth,” Chick-fil-A noted in its write-up. “The True Colors Inclusion Assessment was designed to help agencies implement best practices to welcome and serve LGBTQ youth. Based on the assessment outcome, the True Colors United team guides the agency through the necessary steps to create a more LGBTQ-inclusive and affirming program and environment.”

According to the Chick-fil-A Foundation, in 2018, “Covenant House received $225,000 in support of national and local programs (in California and Georgia) that support youth facing homelessness” and “[t]he Chick-fil-A Foundation has since committed to a significant partnership with Covenant House in 2020.”



Chick-fil-A had recently denied reports that it had caved to homosexual advocates by discontinuing its donor contracts with groups such as the Salvation Army and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes while expanding its work with Covenant House.



“Our goal is to donate to the most effective organizations in the areas of education, homelessness and hunger. No organization will be excluded from future consideration — faith-based or non-faith based,” it contended.



As stated, Covenant House International identifies itself as “a faith-based nonprofit organization.”



In March, the fast-food chain created a post to address media reports that over $1 million was donated in 2017 to “three organizations characterized as anti-LGBTQ groups.”



“The work of the [Chick-fil-A] Foundation is committed to youth and education. The Foundation’s giving helps with economic mobility of young people by focusing on homelessness and poverty, education, and community revitalization, and is done with no political or social agenda,” it wrote. “The narrative that our giving was done to support a political or non-inclusive agenda is inaccurate and misleading.”

“The government has long struggled with foreign involvement when it comes to the education of imams who lead Muslim communities across Germany. Now, a new educational association, with start-up funding from Germany’s interior ministry, is set to launch at the University of Osnabrück.”



The German Ministry of Education and Research has already invested $49.5 million USD to finance seven Islamic theology institutes across the country, courtesy of German taxpayers who have nothing better to do with their money.



There are many unanswered questions in this expensive proposition. Who is doing the teaching? If the teachers were taught by foreign influencers, they will simply pass on the same theology. Is Germany also prepared to dismantle all foreign-funded Islamic schools, mosques and Islamic centers that are currently in existence?



In another case of wishful thinking (or political posturing), Angela Merkel said: “These Muslims belong to Germany and in the same way their religion belongs to Germany, that is to say Islam.” But then she added that “the form of Islam practiced must conform to the country’s constitution.”



Germany has served as an example of how not to manage migration. Its leaders have offered no suggestions on how they intend to make sure that Islam conforms to the German constitution. One thing for certain: imams will not take instruction from kaffirs on how to teach Islam.



Germany has irrationally swung its doors open to mass and unvetted Muslim migration, and intends to do more of the same. The country’s migration and assimilation plans have no rhyme or reason to them: Germany has even lost track of a significant number of its asylum seekers. This latest venture “to take charge of imam education locally” is a face-saving gesture to appease the public, which is increasingly dissatisfied with Merkel’s mass migration policies. Germany is lost. Its public schools are already teaching Islam to students. Its future is clear.

Even though some Muslim organizations have been training imams for their own communities in Germany, the majority of imams working in the country are affiliated with the Turkish-Islamic Union for Religious Affairs (DITIB).



Among Germany’s nearly 4.5 million Muslims, around 3 million are of Turkish origin.



Long awaited financing



It was precisely this influence that moved the German government to take such a bold step, Green party parliamentarian Filiz Polat told DW. It was a measure her party “had long been asking for,” she added.

This is a lot closer to happening than most people realize. In October 2009, the Obama administration joined Egypt in supporting a resolution in the UN’s Human Rights Council to recognize exceptions to the freedom of speech for “any negative racial and religious stereotyping” (a highly subjective category). Approved by the U.N. Human Rights Council, the resolution called on states to condemn and criminalize “any advocacy of national, racial or religious hatred that constitutes incitement to discrimination, hostility or violence.” Then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton affirmed the Obama administration’s support for this on July 15, 2011, when she gave an address on the freedom of speech at an Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) conference on Combating Religious Intolerance. “Together, she said, “we have begun to overcome the false divide that pits religious sensitivities against freedom of expression and we are pursuing a new approach. These are fundamental freedoms that belong to all people in all places and they are certainly essential to democracy.”



But how could both religious sensitivities and freedom of expression be protected?



Clinton had a First Amendment to deal with, and so in place of legal restrictions on criminalization of Islam, she suggested “old-fashioned techniques of peer pressure and shaming, so that people don’t feel that they have the support to do what we abhor.” She held a lengthy closed-door meeting with OIC Secretary-General Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu in December 2011 to facilitate the adoption of measures that would advance the OIC’s anti-free speech campaign. But what agreements she and Ihsanoglu made, if any, have never been disclosed. Still, the specter of an American secretary of State conferring with a foreign official about how to restrict the freedom of speech in order to stifle communications deemed offensive to Muslims was, at the very least, chilling.



Nor was that a singular case. In July 2012, Thomas Perez — then the assistant attorney general for the Civil Rights Division, was asked by Rep. Trent Franks (R-AZ):



Will you tell us here today that this administration’s Department of Justice will never entertain or advance a proposal that criminalizes speech against any religion?



Perez could have simply answered yes, and maybe even cited the First Amendment. Instead, Perez refused to answer the question directly. Franks persisted, ultimately asking it four times. Perez at one point responded that it was a “hard question.” He simply refused to affirm that the Obama Justice Department would not attempt to criminalize criticism of Islam.



This is today’s Democratic Party. If a Democrat wins the presidency in 2020 or thereafter, will that President advance the Left’s assault on the freedom of speech and move to implement Sharia restrictions on criticism of Islam in the United States? You can bet on it. In that eventuality, I hope some of y’all will visit me in prison.

JEDDAH: Muslim leaders on Thursday demanded the introduction of an international law to criminalize all acts of Islamophobia.



Announcing plans for the celebration of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation’s (OIC) 50th anniversary in Jeddah on Monday, its secretary-general called for a global crackdown on individuals or groups responsible for “insulting religions or prophets.”



Dr. Yousef Al-Othaimeen told Arab News: “There are laws against anti-Semitism and racism. So, we request a law against mocking religions.”



In a report released by the OIC, he said that modernization and the Internet revolution had turned the world into a “global village” where religions and cultures should coexist, and races and nations must live side by side as neighbors.



“Islamophobia is a sentiment of excessive fear against Islam that is transformed into acts of intolerance and discriminations against Muslims and even violent crimes against people with Islamic attires.”…



On Islamophobia, Al-Othaimeen said that the behaviors of some Muslims who did not truly represent Islam, had brought prejudice to the surface….



“These issues are of great importance, to be worked on in collaboration not only with governments, but also with people and non-profit organizations, to prove to everyone that Islam is the voice of mercy, moderation and coexistence with Muslims and non-Muslims,” he added.
