Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, giving air time to Rod Dreher,
the author of The Benedict Option (a book highlighting the way
of Saint Benedict, Catholic “saint” and founder of the monastic
Benedictine order)? (Other evangelical leaders who support the book are

In the interview, Mohler says, “[T]he book is very
important. I want to commend it to every thinking Christian. We ought to

The following are a few quotes from what the author of The Benedict Option said to Albert Mohler in the interview.
[T]he West owes an incalculable debt to those Benedictine monks.
So this is nothing new. We’re just rediscovering an old tradition,
things that our ancestors knew. And look, I think that whether we’re
evangelical, Catholic, or Orthodox, we need to go back to the early
church to see how our ancestors did it, see what they did, see how they
embodied the faith and culture and practices [contemplative prayer].
. . . time for Christians to take seriously the times
we’re in, to read the signs of the times and to respond in a responsible
way, in a clear way, in a patient way. And I use Saint Benedict of
Nursia [considered the “father of western monasticism”],
the 6th century saint, who was a Christian who lived through the fall
of the Roman Empire; he was born four years after the Empire officially
fell. And he went down to Rome to get his education and saw it was
completely corrupt, it was falling apart. He went out to the woods to
pray; he lived in cave for three years, and asked God to show him what
to do with his life. He ended up coming out and founding a monastic
order. That monastic order he founded ended up over the next few
centuries spreading like wildfire throughout Western Europe. And what
they did was prepare the way for civilization to return to Western
Europe. They tendered within those monasteries the Scriptures, the
prayers, the liturgies, and the old ways of doing things. So they became
a sort of ark that traveled over the dark sea of time until it found
dry land, and there was light after the darkness.” [see John Caddock’s

One of the stories I tell in the book is about going to
the Benedictine monastery in Norcia, a small town in the mountains of
central Italy, that was where say Benedict was born. He was a son of the
Roman governor. Well, there’s still a monastery there today. Napoleon
closed it down in 1810, but in the year 2000 some American monks went
there and reopened it. And they wanted to sing the traditional Latin mass,
and it’s become a real oasis of Christian peace and beauty. Well, it’s
the sort of place where you go there up in the mountains, and you really
envy these men, their peace, where they can worship and meet visitors.
[I]n my own case, my life is shaped around liturgy that’s been in our church for 1500 years. My life is shaped around the chanting of Psalms and on all kinds of sensual ways that embody the faith.
Of course you can have smells and bells and go straight to hell, that
doesn’t change you and lead to greater conversion. But for me as an
Orthodox Christian and me as a Catholic, the faith had more traction and it drew me in closer and closer. (emphasis added)

Imagine that you are at a Catholic mass in a dreary
1970s-era suburban church that looks like a converted Pizza Hut. The
next Sunday you are at a high Catholic mass in New York City, at St.
Patrick’s Cathedral. The Scripture reading is the same in both places,
and Jesus is just as present in the Eucharist at Our Lady of
Pizza Hut as at St. Patrick’s. Chances are, though, that you had to work
harder to conjure a sense of the true holiness of the mass in the
suburban church than in the cathedral—though theologically speaking, the
“information” conveyed in Word and Sacrament in both places was the

I told the priest how, in response to a personal crisis,
my own orthodox priest back in Louisiana had assigned me a strict daily
prayer rule, praying the Jesus Prayer (“Lord Jesus Christ, Son
of God, have mercy on me, a sinner”) for about an hour each day. It was
dull and difficult at first, but I did it out of obedience. Every day,
for a seemingly endless hour, silent prayer. In time, though, the hour
seemed much shorter, and I discovered that the peace I had conspicuously
lacked in my soul came forth. (The Benedict Option, p. 59)
For the monks, prayer is not simply words they speak. Each monk spends several hours daily doing lectio divina,
a Benedictine method of Scripture study that involves reading a
Scripture passage, meditating on it, praying about it, and finally
contemplating its meaning for the soul. (The Benedict Option, pp. 58-59)
The Reformation broke the religious unity [with
Rome] of Europe. In Protestant lands, it birthed an unresolvable crisis
in religious authority, which over the coming centuries would cause
unending schisms. The Benedict Option, p. 45, emphasis added)
If you don’t control your own attention, there are plenty
of people eager to do it for you. The first step in regaining cognitive
control is creating a space of silence in which you can think.
During a deep spiritual crisis in my own life, the toxic tide of
chronic anxiety did not began to recede from my mind until my priest
ordered me to take up a daily rule of contemplative prayer. Stilling my mind for an hour of prayer
was incredibly difficult, but it eventually opened up a beachhead in
which the Holy Spirit could work to calm the stormy waters within. (The Benedict Option, pp. 227-228, emphasis added)
In a 2017 Christianity Today article titled, “The Benedict Option’s Vision for a Christian Village” by Rod Dreher, author of The Benedict Option, Dreher says the following. Our deciphering is in brackets:
I have written The Benedict Option to wake up
the church, and to encourage it to act to strengthen itself [unify by
removing the barriers between Protestantism and Catholicism], while
there is still time. If we want to survive, we have to return to the
roots of our faith [not biblical roots, monastic roots of the desert
fathers and other mystics], both in thought and in deed. We are going to
have to learn habits of the heart [contemplative prayer practices –
Nouwen called it moving from the moral (doctrine) to the mystical]
forgotten by believers in the West [that’s what Merton taught]. We are
going to have to change our lives, and our approach to life, in radical
ways. In short, we are going to have to be the church, without
compromise, no matter what it costs [the cost is going to be the death
of biblical truth]. (source)
These remarks by Dreher are reminiscent of the
contemplative pioneer and disciple of Thomas Merton, Richard Foster,
when he said:
“I see a Catholic monk from the hills of Kentucky standing
alongside a Baptist evangelist from the streets of Los Angeles and
together offering up a sacrifice of praise. I see a people.”
(Richard Foster, Streams of Living Water, San
Francisco, CA: Harper, 1998, p. 273) We need not look very far to know
how such an ecumenical unifying will take place. The contemplative
prayer movement is the vehicle, and it is in our midst waiting for the
unaware and undiscerning to hop on for the ride.
One can only wonder, will there be any Christian leaders
left standing when the battle is over? Remember the words of Jesus when
He said,
[W]hen the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth? (Luke 18:8)

An Appendix on the Al Mohler Situation: “The Contemplative Christian (The Christian of the Future?)”

Within the evangelical world, contemplative
prayer is increasingly being promoted and accepted. As a result, it is
losing its esoteric aspect and is now seen by many as the wave of the
future. One can’t help but notice the positive exposure it is getting in
the Christian media these days. In Today’s Christian Woman, a
popular and trusted Christian magazine, feature titles make the appeal
to draw closer to God. The author of one such article says, Like a
growing number of evangelicals, I’ve turned to spiritual direction
because I want to know God better.1 But without exception, every person
she cites is a dedicated contemplative, one being Ruth Haley Barton,
author of Invitation to Solitude and Silence. Barton was
trained at the Shalem Institute (founded by panentheist Tilden Edwards);
and in fact, that organization was featured in the article as a
resource for the reader. However, considering the content of many
statements on the Shalem Institute website, how could Shalem even be
listed as a resource for Christians? Listen to a few:
In Christianity and other traditions that
understand God to be present everywhere, contemplation includes a
reverence for the Divine Mystery, “finding God in all things,” or
“being open to God’s presence,” however it may appear.2[Thomas] Merton taught that there is only one way to develop this radical language of prayer: in silence.3
The rhythm of the group includes . . .
chanting, two periods of sitting in silence separated by walking
meditation, and a time for optional sharing.4
In another magazine article, Ruth Haley Barton,
who incidentally is the former Associate Director of Spiritual
Formation at Willow Creek Community Church, echoes Southern
Baptist-turned-goddess worshiper Sue Monk Kidd in many ways, including
the general malaise or condition of the human soul. Barton recounts:
A few years ago, I began to recognize an
inner chaos in my soul . . . No matter how much I prayed, read the
Bible, and listened to good teaching, I could not calm the internal roar
created by questions with no answers.5

The following scenario Barton relates could be
the wave of the future for the evangelical church if this movement
continues to unfold in the manner it already has:
I sought out a spiritual director, someone
well versed in the ways of the soul . . . eventually this wise woman
said to me . . . “What you need is stillness and silence so that the
sediment can settle and the water can become clear.” . . . I decided to
accept this invitation to move beyond my addiction to words.6
By “addiction to words,” she means normal ways
of praying. She still uses words, but only three of them, “Here I am.”
This is nothing other than the Cloud of Unknowing or the prayer of the
heart.
Like Richard Foster,
Barton argues that God cannot be reached adequately, if at all, without
the silence. In referring to 1 Kings 19 when Elijah was hiding in a
cave, Barton encourages:
God loves us enough to wait for us to come
openly to Him. Elijah’s experience shows that God doesn’t scream to get
our attention. Instead, we learn that our willingness to listen in
silence opens up a quiet space in which we can hear His voice, a voice
that longs to speak and offer us guidance for our next step.7
What Barton fails to mention here is that
Elijah was a valiant defender of the belief in the one, unique God
Yahweh (as seen in his encounter with the 450 prophets of Baal), and he
never went into an altered state of silence in his personal encounter
with God.
Barton is no longer teaching at Willow Creek. She left there to start the Transforming Center and
now teaches pastors and other Christian leaders spiritual formation.
Hers is just one of many avenues through which contemplative prayer is
creating a new kind of Christian, possibly the Christian of the future.

WASHINGTON — During his second day of questioning for his Senate confirmation hearing, Trump U.S. Supreme Court nominee Neil Gorsuch said that he accepts Roe v. Wade as the “law of the land” and its opinion that a “fetus is not a person.”
On Wednesday, Sen. Dick Durbin, D-Ill., asked Gorsuch about a
sentence in his book “The Future of Assisted Suicide and Euthanasia,” in
which he concluded that “[a]ll human beings are intrinsically valuable,
and the intentional taking of human life by private persons is always
wrong.”
“How could you square that statement with legal abortion?” Durbin inquired.
Gorsuch, currently a judge with the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals,
posited that abortion is different because the unborn are not legally
recognized as people.
“Senator, as the book explains, the Supreme Court of the United
States has held in Roe v. Wade that a fetus is not a person for purposes
of the Fourteenth Amendment—and that book explains that,” Gorsuch
replied.
“Do you accept that?” Durbin asked.
“That’s the law of the land. I accept the law of the land, Senator, yes,” Gorsuch answered firmly.
As previously reported,
on Tuesday, Gorsuch told Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck
Grassley that he believes Roe v. Wade is precedent and has been
repeatedly reaffirmed, and that “a good judge” should treat it
accordingly.
“I think the case most people are thinking about right now and the
case that every nominee gets asked about [is] Roe v. Wade. Can you tell
me whether Roe was decided correctly?” Grassley asked.
“Senator, … I would tell you that Roe versus Wade, decided in 1973,
is the precedent of the United States Supreme Court. It has been
reaffirmed,” Gorsuch replied emphatically. “The reliance interest
considerations are important there, and all of the other factors that go
into analyzing precedent have to be considered.”
“It is a precedent of the United States Supreme Court. It was
reaffirmed in Casey in 1992, and in several other cases,” he repeated.
“So a good judge will consider it as precedent of the United States
Supreme Court, worthy as treatment of precedent like any other.”
When asked by Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., to expound on his
views regarding precedent, he explained that “once a case is settled,
that adds to the determinacy of the law.”
“What was once a hotly contested issue is no longer a hotly contested issue. We move forward,” Gorsuch said.
Feinstein then inquired if he considers Roe v. Wade to be
“super-precedent,” meaning that it is so ingrained into the legal system
that it would be significantly difficult to overturn.
“It has been reaffirmed 44 times. I can say that,” Gorsuch, known for
ruling in favor of the popular craft chain Hobby Lobby, replied.
Hoefling
While
some have stated that Gorsuch had to answer in such a manner in order
to be confirmed, 2016 America’s Party presidential candidate Tom
Hoefling wrote on social media on Thursday that those who claim the name
of Christ should proclaim truth no matter the cost.
“The way I look at it, no job is worth having for which you have to
hitch your wagon to genocide, and dehumanize tens of millions of
innocent little boys and girls, and defy God and nature and the
Constitution, and support a coup d’etat by pretending that we live in a
judicial oligarchy instead of in a free constitutional republic,” he
said.
Hoefling pointed to Christ’s words in Mark 8:36, “For what shall it
profit a man if he shall gain the whole world and lose his own soul?”
“A wink and a nod for the continued mass murder of millions, tens of
millions, of little boys and girls is required for confirmation,”
he lamented. “A wink and a nod for the continued destruction of the
natural family, the way God created it, is now required.”
“The founders of this republic wouldn’t recognize what these people
have created,” Hoefling added. “It’s a national disgrace. And it is
going to destroy us, and our posterity, if we don’t combat and defeat
it.”
As previously reported, Gorsuch
is an Episcopalian, and attends St. John’s Episcopal Church in Boulder,
Colorado. St. John’s identifies itself as “inclusive” on its website
and is led by female minister Susan Springer. In 2013, Springer
expressed her support for same-sex “marriage.”
Many Christians stated that their primary reason for voting for Trump
as president was because they believed he would appoint justices that
would overturn Roe v. Wade. Some had remarked that they desired a judge
similar to the late Antonin Scalia.
Scalia, however, noted during his tenure that he opposed both the
complete abolition of abortion, as well as requiring legalization. He
said that the Constitution does not require a state to ban abortion as
he believes the 14th Amendment only applies to those who have been born.
“I will strike down Roe v. Wade, but I will also strike down a law
that is the opposite of Roe v. Wade,” Scalia outlined in a 2002 Pew
Forum. “You know, both sides in that debate want the Supreme Court to
decide the matter for them. One [side] wants no state to be able to
prohibit abortion and the other one wants every state to have to
prohibit abortion, and they’re both wrong.”
“And indeed, there are anti-abortion people who think that the
Constitution requires a state to prohibit abortion. They say that the
equal protection clause requires that you treat a helpless human being
that’s still in the womb the way you treat other human beings. I think
that’s wrong,” Scalia further explained in a 2008 “60 Minutes”
interview. “I think when the Constitution says that persons are entitled
to equal protection of the laws, I think it clearly means
walking-around persons.”

Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti has thrown down the gauntlet,
defying President Donald Trump’s executive order issued in January,
entitled “Enhancing Public Safety in the Interior of the United States.”
That executive order provides a three-step procedure to ensure that
illegals are apprehended and deported: 1) the “name and shame” list of
illegals committing crimes in so-called “sanctuary cities”; 2) threat of
legal action against officials endorsing “sanctuary city” policies; and
3) threat of withholding federal funds if they persist in resisting
federal immigration enforcement officials from performing their duties.
Even the title of Garcetti’s own executive directive is a poke in
Trump’s eye: “Standing with Immigrants: A City of Safety, Refuge, and
Opportunity for All,” even if those “All” are among Los Angeles’
estimated 2.6 million illegals.
Garcetti opens with a summary of West Coast liberalism:
In the centuries since [the city’s
founding], we have grown into the most diverse city on the face of the
earth — a city that champions inclusiveness and tolerance, and welcomes
everyone who seeks to realize their dreams and build their families
here, regardless of national origin or immigration status. [Emphasis added.]

All are welcome to LA — especially those who are in the country
illegally — and to help themselves to all manner of taxpayer-provided
free services, said the mayor:
My vision is to ensure that all Angelinos, regardless of immigration status, are connected to community resources, have access to government services. [Emphasis added.]
Garcetti reminded his citizenry that the Los Angeles Police
Department (LAPD) has been prohibited since 1979 “from initiating any
action to determine a person’s immigration status and from arresting
anyone due to the person’s civil immigration status.” Since 2014,
according to the mayor, “The Police Department has not honored any ICE
[Immigration and Customs Enforcement] request to hold an individual
otherwise eligible for release from custody absent a judicial
determination of probable cause for that detainer or a valid warrant
from a judicial officer.”

federal officials, says the mayor, and his law-enforcement people are
not allowed to assist them in performing their duties in any way:

He ordered the chief of police to affirm that this policy is still in place:

Garcetti then ordered the fire department, the airport police and the port police to adopt the same hands-off policies:

enforcement.

This now applies to city employees: “No … City employee shall assist
or cooperate with, or allow any City monies or resources to be used to

to any city facility not open to the general public unless such access
is legally required.”
The mayor’s order now officially grants illegal immigrants full
“equal access to [the city’s] facilities, services, and programs without regard to any person’s citizenship or immigration status to the maximum extent that the law permits, [and] foster[s] a welcoming atmosphere for all regardless of immigration status.”
There is more to his order, including keeping any information that a
city employee might have, or might have access to, regarding an
immigrant’s status, private and away from ICE agents. But the message
being delivered is clear: All are welcome to Los Angeles’ welfare
benefits, including illegals, where they may be safely protected from
intrusion by federal officials attempting to enforce federal laws.
It’s also the most blatant pushback against President Trump’s
policies as stated by his attorney general, Jeff Sessions, who said, “It
is not acceptable for jurisdictions [such as Los Angeles, and others]
to refuse to cooperate with federal law enforcement.”
Wait until Sessions and Trump get wind of efforts by California
itself to become the nation’s first “sanctuary state”! Senate Bill 54,
entitled the “California Values Act,” is already being fast-tracked in
Sacramento, and says:

The contrast with the decision by Mississippi to cooperate with ICE
is startling. Its Senate Bill 2710, just passed by the state senate and
headed for the desk of Governor Phil Bryant, who is expected shortly to
sign it into law, prohibits local governments and universities from
enacting ordinances or policies that would limit enforcement of or
cooperation with federal and state laws and enforcement. In anticipation
of his signing the bill into law, Governor Bryant said — in stark
contrast to California — that “taxpayers expect their state and its
political subdivisions to abide by federal immigration laws.”
The order by LA’s Mayor Garcetti and California’s SB 54 have set in
motion the confrontation between Trump’s policies and California’s
policies of inclusion, regardless of immigration status. There will be
test cases resulting in lawsuits, which will take years to sort out. But
one thing is certain: That coming confrontation is going to be nasty,
with repercussions affecting generations to come.

circulating social media, Infowars is categorized as “pure garbage”,

Occasionally, I come across an article that really
riles me. Okay fine, when it comes to vaccine science and vaccination
policy, I’ll admit this happens almost every day. Still, there was an
opinion published recently in Scientific American that I found
particularly annoying. It’s titled “Will an American-Led Anti-Vaccine
Movement Subvert Global Health?” and was written by pediatrician Peter
J. Hotez, MD, PhD,1 director of the Texas Children’s Hospital Center for Vaccine Development2 in Houston and dean of the National School of Tropical Medicine at the Baylor College of Medicine.3
The piece starts out with an image of an old 1902 invitation for
membership by the Anti-Vaccination Society of America. The invitation
reads:
The Anti-Vaccination Society of America. Otherwise: An
Association of “half-mad”, “misguided” people who write, and toil, and
dream, of a time to come, when it shall be lawful to retain intact the
pure body Mother Nature gave, sends GREETING to a “suspect”. “Liberty
cannot be given, it must be taken.” You are Invited to Join Us.1 4
One of the aims of the opinion piece is to tout the gains made
vaccination programs throughout history, while cautioning that these
“gains can be fragile.”1
The primary aim of the article, however, is clearly to warn about the dangers posed to those gains by people who do not get every government endorsed vaccine or decline to one or more of them to their children.
Dr. Hotez cites a report by Daniel Salmon at the Johns Hopkins
Institute of Vaccine Safety and Saad Omer at Emory’s Rollins School of
Public Health claiming that most of the measles cases in the United
States in 2015 can be blamed on “intentionally unvaccinated” people.1
The purpose of this exercise in fear-mongering by Dr. Hotez appears
to be to create a convenient scapegoat for any infectious disease
outbreak that occurs and, thereby, add weight to calls for forced
vaccination campaigns in the U.S. Dr. Hotez seems to harbor particular
concern about citizen efforts in Texas to protect vaccine exemptions and
the impact that the movie Vaxxed: From Cover-Up to Catastrophe is having throughout the country in raising public awareness about vaccine risks. He describes Vaxxed as a “a faux documentary alleging a vast conspiracy and cover-up at the CDC.”1
Dr. Hotez also mentions the Revolution for Truth march in Washington, D.C. on Mar. 31 sponsored by what he labels as “anti-vaccine groups” in Washington, DC on Mar. 31 and and he ridicules the idea of a vaccine safety commission reportedly being considered by the new administration.
These are all things that are of great concern to Dr. Hotez, who wrote:
I’m worried that America’s anti-vaccine movement has
sufficient strength and momentum to affect vaccine coverage globally.
Whether it’s Hollywood movies, rap music, or soft drinks, the world is
quick to embrace American culture. The “Vaxxed” tour has already begun
with showings so far in the United Kingdom, Australia, and elsewhere,
but I’m especially concerned about the large middle- and low-middle
income nations such as Bangladesh, Brazil, China, India, Indonesia,
Nigeria, and Russia. A small drop in measles vaccine coverage in those
nations would lead to measles outbreaks and deaths on a scale that we
haven’t seen since the years prior to EPI (Expanded Program on
Immunization).1
Dr. Hotez added:
Things might only get worse pending the imminent
expansion and export of an American-led anti-vaccine movement. We need to
recognize that the current activities in Texas and Washington DC could
ignite reversals of global disease elimination and eradication efforts
that are now more than 50 years in the making.1
Dr. Hotez is also a vaccine developer and president and director of the Sabin Vaccine Institute’s Product Development Partnership (PDP),5 and he is so
worried about the growth in size and influence of the grassroots
movement of well-educated people, who are questioning mainstream vaccine
science and demanding that their informed consent rights and basic
civil liberties be respected that he is actually calling for this
movement to be snuffed out.
Dr. Hotez closed his opinion by saying:
An American anti-vaccine movement is building and we need to take steps now to snuff it out.1
But what exactly does he mean by this. Does he mean that anyone who
questions the safety and effectiveness of vaccines or refuses a vaccine
should be penalized in some way? Is he suggesting prison time?
Certainly, he is not suggesting some sort of government sponsored
capital punishment?
For the record, let it be known that Dr. Hotez does have conflicts of
interest in making such a call. The Texas Children’s Hospital Center
for Vaccine Development receives a lot of money from government and
industry to develop and produce vaccines and so does the Sabin Vaccine
Institute.6 7 8 9 10
And while he has written, “I will never see a penny from our
vaccines,” there is a lot of money flowing into and out of the
institutions in which he has prominent positions and exerts substantial influence regarding vaccine development and promotion.6 Dr. Hotez has been described as an “advocate” and “spokesperson” for the vaccine industry.9
Dr. Hotez, you’ve left me wondering about how far you’re willing to go. Please elaborate on what you have in mind when you refer to snuffing out a movement. You do realize that you’re talking about people—in many cases, parents who, just like you,1
have a daughter or son with autism? In some cases, more than one
daughter or son with autism. The idea that you would seek to deny their
right to dissent and speak out and tell their personal stories is so
repulsive that I can… barely speak.

The children’s series Sesame Street announced they will soon feature a new muppet who suffers from autism.
Julia, who has existed in print and digital illustrations for over a year, will appear in live muppet format in Sesame Street’s April 10 episode, which will air on PBS and HBO.
The muppet is the product of an awareness campaign produced by the
Sesame Workshop non-profit organization working alongside the Autism
Speaks advocacy group.
A statement
from Sesame Workshop says Julia fulfills a commitment to increase
acceptance of autistic children and provide support for their families.
“Bringing Julia to life as a Sesame Street Muppet is the centerpiece
of all of our new materials to support families of children with
autism,” a spokesperson for Sesame Workshop reads.
Julia is the latest muppet created to address modern social issues through the expansion of the Sesame Street universe.
Last April, Sesame Street also unveiled “Zari,” a hijab-wearing feminist muppet hailing from Afghanistan.
In 2013, the children’s program also introduced “Alex,” a muppet whose father had been sent to prison.
In
the past, the popular muppet Elmo ironically joined US Surgeon General
Vivek Murthy for a public service announcement pushing “safe” vaccines
onto impressionable young minds.
“OK, Elmo will get vaccinated,” the muppet agrees, with Murthy
adding, “And tell all your friends on Sesame Street to get vaccinated,
too.”

The fence-jumper who wandered around the White House complex
for 17 minutes was able to elude the Secret Service in part because the
agency has taken down alarm sensors along an area of one fence that he
scaled, according to two sources familiar with details of the incident.
The
intruder, identified as Jonathan Tran, was able to jump over three
different fences, including at least one between the Treasury Department
and the east area of the White House complex shortly before midnight
March 10.
Tran was able to scale that particular area of the fence
without setting off alarms because they had been removed, leading to
confusion among officers about his whereabouts and whether an intruder
was inside the White House complex, the sources told the Examiner.
The
initial fence Tran jumped did trip alarms in that area of the
fence-line, but squirrels or even birds sometimes also set off the
sensitive sensors, which could have lead to uncertainty about whether
someone had jumped the fence or not.
Secret Service personnel
removed the alarm sensors along an area of fence line when the agency
raised its height in response to previous fence-jumping incidents as a
way to make it harder to scale, the sources told the Examiner.

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban has been strikingly vocal about

This is not new. It has been ongoing for years: when fascists are
unable to control the narrative, they shut down the discussion.
I
am seeing now that most of the UK and many other European Internet
service providers (ISPs) are blocking this as well as many other
websites from being viewed.
Not content with shadow banning academics guilty of wrongspeak from social media, attempting to turn them into unpersons, they
are using blocking methods originally developed but rarely used to
block criminal enterprises on the web (think scammers and pedophiles)
with far more alacrity than when they were ever used as originally
intended.
They use a variety of methods to control what you are allowed to view
online, much like how I had “guardian control” on our television to
stop the kids from watching channels that were not suitable. Amusingly, I
know of one home and office firewall company that is listing
jihadwatch.org as “adult entertainment.” A provider in the UK, also
listing Jihad Watch as adult, asks for credit card numbers to prove you
are old enough to view the site.
Canada is introducing “measures,” specifically in Quebec, to block illegal gaming sites,
which I would bet my last Loony on being leveraged in the same way, as
soon as they criminalize “Islamophobia,” a.k.a. any criticism of jihad
and the violence and crime that go hand-in-hand with Islam.
So today, some Internet providers just block this and other sites,
giving the impression that site is “down,” not available, mockingly
suggesting, “please try later.” We will be seeing far more of this, and
there is little anyone can do to stop this from being implemented
further.
The vast majority of blocks are actually very simple to bypass. They
“poison” the DNS servers that they provide free with your Internet
access to misdirect you to other locations. The Turkish government has
been using this method for Internet access for a few years. The Chinese
“protect” nearly half the world’s population from ThoughtCrime with this
trick.
DNS stands for Domain Name Servers. They translate the user-entered website (domain name) such as www.jihadwatch.org into a number that is used by your computer to connect to the website — think postal/zip code. Normally,
you are automatically assigned DNS Name Server addresses by your
Internet service provider, but changing the DNS servers (on your local
machine or router) will stop censorship using this method.

Bypassing the simple DNS poisoning method that is most commonly used
is very simple: you just change the DNS servers that Cisco, the worldwide leader in IT and networking hardware, was kind enough to provide. Try use.opendns.com or safer for sharing 208.69.38.205 (which
cannot be easily blocked). In fact, in many cases, OpenDNS may be a
better service than your own service provider’s DNS. It is simply
tested, but whatever happens in the future, keep that link handy to
check if your favorite websites really did just vanish.
Here is a complete current list of free to use public DNS servers, Cisco
just has great instructions to make the required changes. I believe
they do this intentionally to assist in bypassing government censorship.

Further, I would strongly suggest that anyone who may in the future
be guilty of wrongthink or some other thoughtcrime, go one step further
and encrypt all your Internet traffic using a VPN (Virtual Private
Network), so that Internet providers, government agencies and even
employers can not snoop. I have been involved with the development of airvpn.
I have no financial motive, but I believe they are the best
(speed/price), but maybe not as user-friendly as some more commercial
VPNs such as Freedome.
Using a VPN would be best practice to also stop cyber criminals from
carrying out a number of attacks against you when you are using a public
wifi (cafe, airport, etc.). It also is a more thorough way to block
censorship. If you use a VPN, you do not need to change DNS servers, as
the VPN does this for you.
*above, I knowingly use the term “dns poisoning” knowing that it is
most commonly used to describe an attack when a bad actor diverts a
website’s intended traffic to some other location, normally to inflict
some damage, but the ISPs are using similar methods that a Bad Actor
would use with the intent of censorship.

In the sixth video of James O’Keefe’s Project Veritas Action, Bradley Beychock, then president of David Brock’s Media Matters, bragged,
“Our big role with Trump as a media watchdog is to take his MVPs [Most
Valuable Players] and put them on the sidelines. So the first one is
Roger Stone.”
Beychock on the O’Keefe video can be heard bragging about the campaign Media Matters ran to smear Stone.
“We
led the campaign to track every book appearance [that Stone did],”
Beychock insisted. “We took everything that was crazy in his book and
made sure people knew it was sourced in crazy material, we parsed out
his tweets by ethnicity group – whether the attack was on minorities, or
LGBT folks, or on immigrants.”
Media Matters goal was to get Stone blacklisted by the major cable news channels.
“We
published that with the networks – reached out privately to each
network and said, ‘Hey, are you aware you have had this guy on 12 times
in the last four months and he said these three things about your
anchors or the people you have on the air, or work for your
organization,” Beychock went on cheerfully, as if relishing in a recent
successful hit job.
“Ultimately, we got Stone banned from Fox,
MSNBC, and CNN, and he hasn’t been on in four months. So, like we try to
take the MVPs off the sidelines.”
In a briefing book entitled “Transforming the Media Landscape” (obtained by the Free Beacon) that Brock published privately in January to solicit donors, Media Matters resumed the attack against Stone.
In
the briefing book for donors, Brock bragged that Media Matters
“succeeded in pressuring CNN, MSNBC, and even Fox News to stop booking
Roger Stone, a regular guest and a longtime Trump ally.”
Brock
proceeded to smear Stone, charging that Stone “has a decades-long
history of employing political dirty tricks and regularly spouting
violent, racist, and sexist rhetoric.”
But, undeterred, Stone in January published his best-seller, The Making of the President 2016: How Donald Trump Orchestrated a Revolution – a book that currently has 100,000 copies in print, with Stone doing a bi-coastal media tour.
Some will remember that back in December, Stone’s doctor found the politico had been mysterious poisoned with a very small dosage of radioactive material, most likely polonium.
Racked
with fever and hospitalized, Stone suffered through projectile
vomiting, violent diarrhea, night sweats, delirium dehydration, and a
rash that took the veteran Republican nearly a month to recover.
Those who tried to kill (or warn) Stone failed.
Having
failed in all these efforts to sideline Stone, the next tactic of the
Deep State was to arrange a mainstream media mass lynching, re-inventing
in hard-left New Age fashion the horrid Ku Klux Klan terror technique
of radical Democrats in the post-Civil War, Reconstruction Era South.
The
goal of the Brock-Stone media-manipulation team was to sideline Stone
permanently, to remove him from being of assistance to President Trump
in the battles ahead.
The problem facing the Deep State was that Stone’s only exchange with the hacker was a perfunctory exchange that took place ex post facto, almost five weeks after the DNC documents hacked by Guccifer 2.0 had already released.
But
the Brock-Soros propaganda machine was not deterred that no hard
evidence had been produced to support the Democratic Party narrative
that Hillary lost the election because Roger Trump schemed with Russia
to intervene in the U.S. presidential election.
The lynching of Roger Stone began on March 8, when the Smoking Gun reported that Stone had been in touch with “Guccifer 2.0” prior to the November election.
The Smoking Gun presented this without acknowledging that Stone himself first brought out the contact with Guccifer 2.0 in an article Stone authored in Breitbart.com on Aug. 5, 2016.
In that article, entitled “Dear Hillary: DNC Hack Solved, So Stop
Blaming Russia,” Stone pointed out that Guccifer 2.0 explained he was
responsible both for hacking Hillary’s home server and subsequently for
his hacking of the DNC, in which Guccifer 2.0 hacked John Podesta’s
emails.
Still, the Smoking Gun insisted on reporting this as if it were uncovering some great secret.

influence operation came via private messages exchanged on Twitter,

officials to distribute and publicize material stolen during hacks of
the DNC, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, and Gmail
accounts used by Clinton staffers like John Podesta, the campaign’s
chairman.
What followed the Smoking Gun article published on March 8 was a mainstream media feeding frenzy attacking Stone.
The
intensity with which the mainstream media repeated the Smoking Gun
story resembled the frenzy with which a Ku Klux Klan posse organized in
the Reconstruction Era South to string up some innocent African-American
from a tree without so much as an indictment, let alone a trial.
Look
at the number of publications that piled on Stone, parroting what the
Smoking Gun had published, adding their own inflammatory headlines and
damning prose.
- On Friday, Salon.com published the story under the headline, “Roger Stone doesn’t ‘like Russian dressing,’ says his chat with Guccifer was innocuous.”
- On Friday, the Hill headline read, “Trump adviser admits to contact with DNC hacker.”
- On Friday, GQ reported, “Former Trump Advisor Roger Stone Was in Contact with a Russian Hacker During the Election.”
- On Saturday, Talking Points Memo, TPM News, ran the headline, “Ex-Trump Adviser Roger Stone Was in Contact with DNC Hacking Suspect.”
- On Saturday, the Chicago Tribune ran with, “Ex-Trump adviser Roger Stone swapped messages with DNC hacking suspect.
- On Saturday, Raw Story reported “Roger Stone admits having contact with alleged DNC hacker.”
- On Sunday, CNN went with the headline, “Trump associate plays down Twitter contact with Guccifer 2.0.”
- On Monday, CBS News ran, “Roger Stone on why ‘exchange’ with DNC hacking suspect Guccifer 2.0 was ‘innocuous.’”
The mainstream media largely ignored Stone’s protest on his website that the timeline proves the “Russian Collusion” meme was a lie.
“The
Smoking Gun website has come up with a sensational but bogus claim that
I collaborated with a hacker, Guccifer 2.0 to hack data from the DNC
and have WikiLeaks release it,” Stone wrote on StoneColdTruth.com.
“This is another absurd media claim that is part of the long-standing
absurd claim that Donald Trump had anything to do with the Russians.
This is a charge without a shred of evidence.”
Next Stone
explained how the timeline should have made the “Russian collusion”
narrative a lie, had any reporters replaying the Smoking Gun
sensationalism bothered to check.
“All contact I had with the entity known as Guccifer 2.0 came after I had written an article that was published on August 5th, by Breitbart News and vetted by their lead investigative reporter Lee Stranahan,” Stone explained. “That article came after the DNC and DCCC material had been released and identified the role of a hacker going by the moniker Guccifer 2 based on our own sources.” [Bold and italics in original]
Stone’s
conclusion was obvious: “Therefore, any such ‘collaboration’ would’ve
also involved a time machine – something that I think Putin has not
perfected yet.”
What Dinesh D’Sousa clearly proved in his most recent documentary film and bestselling book, Hillary’s America: The Secret of the Democratic Party, was that when the Reconstruction Era Ku Klux Klan took off their hoods, they proved to be Southern Democrats.
Psychiatrists
understanding the psychological phenomenon of “projection” and
generations of high school students assigned to read Harper Lee’s 1960
classic novel, To Kill a Mockingbird should understand the Ku
Klux Klansmen lynching innocent African Americans accused of violating
virginal white women may have been driven by the lust they felt in their
own hearts for these same young maidens.
So too, the abundant
evidence is that it was the Democrats in the 2016 election who were

Without
proof, David Brock, the ideological switch-hitter, and George Soros,
the Nazi war collaborator and currency manipulator, will certainly fail
in their attempt to destroy Roger Stone by disseminating disinformation

But once the

Buoyed by a recently released poll by Public Policy Polling which
showed her leading President Donald Trump 47-40 in a hypothetical 2020
match-up, daytime talk show “queen” Oprah Winfrey (shown) is said to be
toying with the idea of making a bid for the White House.
Of course, Trump trailed Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton
throughout most of the 2016 campaign, by as much as 15 points in some
polls, so polling almost four years in advance of an election is often
dismissed as meaningless. After all, if polling that far in advance was
conclusive, then we would have had presidents Dewey, Muskie, and Dukakis
instead of Truman, Nixon, and George H.W. Bush.
But, considering that few gave Trump much of a shot, even when he was
performing well in polls early in the Republican nomination battle in
late 2015 and early 2016, we should not dismiss a run by such a
well-known media personality as Winfrey. Trump had achieved high name
recognition as the host of the popular TV show “The Apprentice,” and Winfrey, if anything, enjoyed even higher name I.D. from her TV fame.
“Given the popularity you have, and that we haven’t broken the glass
ceiling yet for women, you could actually run for president and you
could be elected,” talk show host David Rubinstein told Winfrey, urging
her to consider the idea.
Trump’s path to the White House as a celebrity is seen by some such
as Rubinstein as an indication that the voters are now looking at style
over substance; however, while Trump had a greater name I.D. than most
of his Republican rivals, his positions on issues were just as critical
to his success. He tackled such subjects as disastrous international
trade deals and the tsunami of illegal immigration that the other
candidates generally avoided, demonstrating an ability to connect with
voters.
Though Winfrey is undoubtedly noted for her ability to “connect” with
her many fans, whether that talent will translate into political
success remains to be seen.
Left-wing CNN commentator Van Jones, who has a communist background,
boldly predicted that Winfrey would not only defeat Trump, but that she
would beat him a historic landslide. Speaking on Bravo’s late-night
show Watch What Happens Next, Jones argued, “It takes a superstar to beat a superstar. And I think if Oprah Winfrey ran, she’d win all 50 states.”
Jones also mentioned Democrats Senator Kamala Harris (Calif.),
Senator Corey Booker (N.J.), and Congressman Joe Kennedy III (Mass.).
All three, of course, are conventional politicians, and Trump showed
that celebrities can surprise such professionals.
Winfrey has already demonstrated that she has political clout — at
least within the more liberal base of the Democratic Party. It was her
support of fellow Chicagoan U.S. Senator Barack Obama in 2007 that is
seen as giving him the extra credibility he needed to upset Hillary
Clinton to win the 2008 Democratic Party nomination.
Her open endorsement of Obama was the first time that Winfrey had
publicly backed a political candidate. She held a fundraiser for him in
September 2007 at her estate, and then three months later she joined
Obama for a series of rallies in the early primary states of Iowa, New
Hampshire, and South Carolina. Some have estimated that she could have
swung more than one and a half million votes for Obama, providing the
difference in his eventual victory.
What had given her such exceptional pull with voters, especially
among those who cast votes in the Democratic primaries? Certainly it was
the trust her many fans placed in her, especially women who were given
the unofficial go-ahead to abandon the female hopeful, Hillary Clinton.
This emotional bond was built over several years because of Oprah’s
highly popular daytime talk show.
How did Winfrey rise from poverty to become the wealthiest black
woman in American history? She apparently possessed an ability to talk
and connect with an audience as early as high school, when she had a job
in radio; at age 19 she co-anchored the local evening news. Of course,
her entry into television was helped immensely when she won the Miss
Black Tennessee beauty pageant at age 17.
Her unusual name of “Oprah” was certainly another factor in her
success. Named “Orpah” on her birth certificate, after the biblical
character, that name proved difficult for others to pronounce, and she
eventually became known as Oprah. In the Bible, Orpah was the
daughter-in-law of the Israelite Naomi who returned to her Moabite gods
when Naomi’s other daughter-in-law, Ruth, chose to instead accept the
God of Israel. (Ruth was an ancestor of King David, and eventually, of
course, of Jesus Christ).
Raised a Baptist, the young Oprah was taken to church by her
grandmother, where Oprah was dubbed “The Preacher” for her ability to
quote Bible verses. But Winfrey has certainly abandoned the adherence to
the Scriptures her grandmother and the Baptists attempted to instill in
her. She rejected the more conservative Baptist faith when she heard a
minister say, “The Lord thy God is a jealous God.” Oprah said at the
moment the preacher said the word “jealous,” there was “something about
that [that] didn’t feel right in my spirit because I believe that God is
love and God is in all things.”
The belief that God is “in all things” is better known as pantheism.
Indeed, Winfrey has often advocated the views of New Age spiritualist
Eckhart Tolle on the web and in her TV shows. “I took God out of the
box,” she says of her efforts. “One of the mistakes that human beings
make is believing that there is only one way to live. There are many paths to what you call God.”
(Emphasis added). At another time, she indicated that her concept of
God is not orthodox, asserting, “God is a feeling experience and not a
believing experience. If your religion is a believing experience …
then that’s not truly God.”
She has also even been quoted as saying, “I have a church with
myself: I have church walking down the street. I believe in [a] God
force that lives inside all of us, and once you tap into that, you can
do anything.” This sounds more like a line from the Star Wars movies than something found in a Christian church.
Soon after the September 11 attacks, Winfrey came to the defense of
Islam in a program she called “Islam 101,” calling it a peaceful
religion and arguing that it was “the most misunderstood of the three
major religions.”
Her religious views may not damage her political chances within the
more liberal base Democratic Party; however, it is uncertain whether
such theology would be acceptable to a general election audience.
Sociologist Vicki Abt criticized Winfrey in her book Coming After Oprah: Cultural Fallout in the Age of the TV Talk Show.
Abt charged that Winfrey’s show was critical in blurring the lines
between “normal” and “deviant” behavior. Of course, supporters, on the
other hand, credit her for making the LGBT movement, for instance,
mainstream and more socially acceptable.
Besides Oprah’s social views, her political opinions are certainly
not conservative, either. In 2009, she traveled to Denmark to praise its
socialist system. According to Winfrey, the Danes are the happiest
people on earth, who particularly enjoy living in very small houses.
(Apparently Winfrey likes a bigger house than these “happy” Danes.)
People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) honored her as the
2008 Person of the Year for her work in uncovering mistreatment of
animals and her advocacy of a vegan diet. She also refused to wear fur
or even allow it to be shown in her magazine, “O.”
It is uncertain, of course, whether Winfrey will actually make a
presidential bid. She would be 67 years old in 2020 — still younger than
either Trump or Clinton was in the last election (and though it didn’t
seem to matter to the 70-year-old Trump, Clinton’s health definitely was
a matter of some discussion).
But if she were to run, when one considers the present state of the American electorate, she would have to be taken seriously.

Trump’s proposed cuts to America’s funding for the UN have drawn fierce criticism from the global elite and globalist-connected publications.
Foreign Policy, owned by the same holding company as the Washington Post, said
Trump’s proposed cuts constituted “an unprecedented retreat by [the]
administration from international operations that keep the peace,
provide vaccines for children, monitor rogue nuclear weapons programs,
and promote peace talks from Syria to Yemen.”
Richard Gowan, an expert on the UN for the globalist European Council on Foreign Relations, said the proposed budget cuts would create “chaos.”
Stewart Patrick, senior fellow and director of the appropriately-named program on International Institutions and Global Governance at the Council on Foreign Relations, expressed fear that the “unapologetic nationalist” Donald Trump would bring about the collapse of the UN.
“Among
the many foreign policy uncertainties created by Donald Trump’s
election, there is one prediction we can take to the bank: The United
Nations is going to get hammered,” he wrote.
While President Obama
once proclaimed himself a “citizen of the world,” Trump was elected
after rallying a “populist base deeply skeptical of international
organizations,” Patrick claimed.

D.C. – Infowars.com have obtained credible information from law
enforcement sources regarding individual records of U.S. citizens under
National Security Agency (NSA) electronic surveillance in the years 2004
through 2010 – a database that suggests both Donald J. Trump and Alex
Jones were under illegal, unauthorized government monitoring during
those years.

Michael Zullo, formerly the commander and chief investigator of the
Cold Case Posse (CCP), a special investigative group created in 2006 in
the office of Joseph M. Arpaio, formerly the sheriff in Maricopa County,
an Arizona State Certified Law Enforcement Agency, headquartered in
Phoenix, Arizona, provided sections of the database to Infowars.com.
The
electronic surveillance database, provided to Zullo by a whistleblower
in 2013, was apparently created by the NSA as part of the NSA’s illegal
and unconstitutional Project Dragnet electronic surveillance of U.S.
citizens, first revealed by news reports published in 2005, as further documented by the revelations of whistleblower Edward Snowden in 2013.
Sheriff
Arpaio and Chief Investigator Zullo have identified dozens of entries
at various addresses, including both Trump Tower in New York City and
Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida, under which Donald Trump was
apparently under NSA electronic surveillance from 2004, during President
George W. Bush’s term of office, through 2009, the first year of
President Obama’s presidency.

While attempts have been made to deny such domestic surveillance, reports from the New York Times
in 2014 showed the Central Intelligence Agency had done just that by
spying on a senate panel investigating the agency’s use of “enhanced

entitled, “‘A constitutional crisis’: the CIA turns on the Senate,” it
is likewise noted just how drastic and widespread the CIA’s domestic
surveillance operation was.

revealed from the Dragnet database, not only was Trump himself
surveilled but so were numerous employees of his located at Trump Tower.
Former
CIA officer Larry Johnson recently joined the Alex Jones show to
discuss how intelligence sources have stated that such surveillance of
Trump during the presidential election in fact took place.

All these employees appear to have been under NSA phone surveillance, plus various of them under financial surveillance as well.
The
Project Dragnet database suggests Trump was under surveillance not only
for phone conversations, but also for financial information, including
most likely bank account transactions, credit card transactions, and tax
filings.
Both federal and state law enforcement have had access
to the Project Dragnet database, allowing widespread use for methods
such as parallel construction. The practice, outlined in the 2013 Reuters
article, “U.S. directs agents to cover up program used to investigate
Americans,” reveals the breadth of information that trickles down to law
enforcement from high-level intelligence agencies.
Also
listed as under NSA surveillance in the period 2004-2010 was Trump’s
former wife, Ivanka Trump at House of Ivanka, 10 East 64th Street, New
York City.
The Project Dragnet database also indicates that the
NSA was conducting electronic surveillance on an extensive list of Trump
employees in the years 2004-2010 – the only years for which Sheriff
Arpaio had data.
Alex Jones is listed as being under electronic
surveillance for phone records, as well as under surveillance for
financial records, in 2006. The address listed for Alex Jones in the NSA
Project Dragnet database was correct for his residence at that time. So
too, Alex Jones confirmed the phone number listed was also correct.
Sheriff
Arpaio and Chief Investigator Zullo have validated through law
enforcement channels the validity of the name, address, and telephone
numbers for the dates that appear in the Project Dragnet database.
Sheriff
Arpaio and Chief Investigator Zullo are prepared to share relevant
information with appropriate federal law enforcement agencies, including
the FBI, as well as the Department of Justice, Homeland Security
Department, the White House, and members of Congress the Project Dragnet
Database in whole, or in part, as it pertains to NSA electronic
surveillance of Donald J. Trump and his various employee.
Sheriff
Arpaio and Chief Investigator Zullo also show up in the database, listed
as being under both phone and financial surveillance.
Zullo
explained that he and Arpaio came in contact with the information from
Operation Dragnet during an unrelated investigation that began in
October 2013 and ended January 2015.
A whistleblower by the name
of Dennis Montgomery brought forward information that Montgomery alleges
was collected while he was employed as a subcontractor for the NSA,
working on various surveillance projects.
Court documents do
verify Montgomery was contracted by the NSA, in part to develop computer
breaching software that has been utilized in government mass
surveillance operations targeting American citizens without legal
justification.
While Montgomery’s credibility has been called into
question, Zullo maintains that the amount of information provided by
Montgomery related to Operation Dragnet was extraordinarily voluminous
and that Montgomery had shared information with investigators in 2013
that is only now being revealed by media outlets.
