New York Governor’s Aide Made $145,000 — Bought $4.1M Home, 2024 Ferrari With Chinese Money

At 6:47 AM on September 3, 2024, FBI agents surrounded a $4.1 million Long Island mansion owned by Linda Sun — a woman trusted at the highest levels of New York State government. For 13 years, she controlled access to two governors, shaped policy on China and Taiwan, and quietly funneled influence straight to the Chinese Communist Party. A Ferrari, a Honolulu condo, luxury gifts, secret wire transfers, and a lifestyle no government salary could explain. This is the story of how a top state official allegedly became an unregistered foreign agent — and how the FBI uncovered millions in payments, visa fraud, PPE kickbacks, and years of hidden betrayal. Today, we break down the investigation, the arrests, the trial, and the shocking evidence revealed in court. Watch till the end to understand how foreign influence can reach the heart of American democracy.

Missouri governor declares ‘State of Emergency,’ activates Nat’l Guard amid anti-ICE protests

Missouri GOP Governor Mike Hucke has declared a state of emergency in anticipation of anti-ICE protests expected to occur across the Show-Me State.

The Missouri governor publicly stated that agencies are prepared to support peaceful protests—but will not tolerate violence—making it clear that any civil unrest would be addressed swiftly.

Missouri Executive Order 25-25 declares a State of Emergency and allows the Adjutant General to order service members to aid state officials.

The governor noted that his order is only meant to be precautionary, as nationwide protests and riots continue to flare up in response to the crackdown on illegal aliens from the Trump administration.

Nevertheless, Kehoe has activated the state’s National Guard in anticipation of rowdy protests.

The order follows the establishment of a Unified Command by the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Missouri National Guard, and Missouri Department of Public Safety — to monitor situations across the state and assist local authorities with preparedness.

The order also allows the Adjutant General to employ necessary equipment to support law enforcement and provide aid.

“We respect, and will defend the right to peacefully protest, but we will not tolerate violence or lawlessness in our state,” the governor said.

“While other states may wait for chaos to ensue, the State of Missouri is taking a proactive approach in the event that assistance is needed to support local law enforcement in protecting our citizens and communities,” he added.

The executive order comes just two days after hundreds of Kansas City residents marched downtown in protest of ICE.

Meanwhile, an extremely large crowd is expected to gather for the anti-Trump “No Kings” rally, which is set for the same day as the Flag Day military parade, which also happens to be President Donald Trump’s birthday.

Kansas City Mayor Quinton Lucas’ office shared a statement Thursday regarding the mayor’s concerns about Gov. Kehoe’s decision.

“Mayor Lucas is concerned with enhanced state enforcement for one set of protestors, but no action or aid to local law enforcement when Neo-Nazis march through Missouri’s urban streets,” the statement reads. “The Mayor has confidence in responsible protestors to use their First Amendment rights peacefully and in compliance with the law. More than one thousand Kansas Citians protested peacefully and responsibly just days ago.”

“For those who do not act responsibly, the Mayor stands with the women and men of local law enforcement at KCPD and other agencies to take any necessary enforcement actions,” it continues. “Unnecessary escalation from our nation’s capital and state capitals undermines local law enforcement and makes all less safe.”

The governor was also met with Democrat opposition, specifically coming from Missouri House Minority Leader Ashley Aune (D-Kansas City).

“Governor Kehoe’s preemptive declaration of a state of emergency as Missourians prepare to protest an increasingly authoritarian presidential administration is a blatant attempt to intimidate and suppress First Amendment rights,” she wrote in a statement.

“The protests planned this weekend across Missouri and throughout the nation were sparked by the president’s unwarranted and heavy-handed military response to opposition to his policies,” the state lawmaker added. “By doing the same, the governor will only heighten tensions and increase the possibility of conflict. Governor Kehoe should staunchly defend the rights of Missourians, not mimic the authoritarianism of the president.”

However, Republican allies maintained that the governor is simply sending a strong message, trying to combat riots and looting.

“We support the First Amendment right of every Missourian to peacefully demonstrate, but violence and riots will NOT be tolerated in the Show Me State,” Rep. Mark Alford (R-Mo.) wrote on x.

Victor Davis Hanson: Gov. Janet Mills Doesn’t Know It Yet, But She’s an ‘Insurrectionist’

Is Gov. Janet Mills of Maine an ‘Neo-Confederate’? Yes, and “she is taking states’ rights to the extreme,” argues Victor Davis Hanson in today’s edition of “Victor Davis Hanson: In His Own Words.” After refusing to comply with a Trump administration order banning men from competing in women’s high school sports, the Department of Justice launched a civil lawsuit against the Maine Department of Education for failing to protect women in women’s sports, Attorney General Pam Bondi said Wednesday. “Janet Mills may not know it, but she's an insurrectionist. She's a neo-Confederate. She is taking states' rights to the extreme. Rather than saying, ‘I oppose the federal government. I will go to court to stop you. If I lose, I will comply because the states are subordinate to the federal’ —she's not doing that. She's right in the spirit of the old Confederacy… “I can cite you chapter and verse from the poems of Catullus to the novels of ‘Satyricon,’ of Petronius, ‘The Satyricon,’ of men who dress up like women. Both as transvestites who are still, I guess you'd say, heterosexual, but they have a fetish to wear women's clothes or those who really want to be women. In the case of a poem or two, they castrate themselves. It's found in ancient history. “And statistically, if you go back before this controversy happened, it was a very small number of the population. About less than 1% identified as transgendered or transsexual. Then it became, in the last decade, the next civil rights frontier. And all of a sudden, we have universities where students are being polled at 10% or 20% or 30%, thinking they might want to transition. It almost became a cult following.”

Victor Davis Hanson: Europe, You Can’t Sit on the Sidelines Anymore

Which side will Europe take in a China-U.S. trade war? Of all the scenarios facing Europe right now vis-à-vis their relationship United States and China, their best option would be to side with the U.S., argues Victor Davis Hanson on today’s “Victor Davis Hanson: In His Own Words.” “The third scenario is what I would suggest for the Europeans. They should say the following: “‘Despite our disagreements with the Trump administration, the United States is an ally. We know that we have been as victimized by Chinese mercantilism, high tariffs, cheating on patents, copyrights, dumping, and financial currency manipulation—all the things the United States complains about, we do too. In fact, we as Europeans as a whole have about the same deficit with China as the United States does. So, we are kindred spirits. So what we will do is, even though we have disagreements on our surplus with the United States and their efforts to reduce it, we will ally with the United States.’ “And that would represent about two-thirds of China's total trade action or monetary value.

Arkansas: Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders Unveils Bill To Block China From Doing Business In And With The State

Arkansas’ Republican Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders unveiled a set of measures on Wednesday aimed at preventing China from conducting business in and with the state.

The law was dubbed the “Communist China Defense Legislative Package” by the governor. The governor claimed that the six legislation in the package, some of which have already been introduced and others that are still pending, target “Communist China influence” in the state.

Sanders stated that 80% of the state’s foreign intelligence cases are based on CCP actions, citing the 60 CCP foreign intelligence investigations conducted in the United States in 2024.

Existing laws will be strengthened by the measures, which will prohibit the CCP from lobbying, lower the time limit for selling a prohibited land holding, and prohibit any Arkansas municipality from having a sister city in China.

“The governor said that any college or university with a Confucius Institute would not receive any state funding, stating that China often uses such institutions to establish intelligence operations,” according to NBC affiliate KARK – Little Rock.

On U.S. college campuses, Confucius Institutes provide courses in Chinese language and culture. Researchers and others have expressed worries about undue influence and other issues since the People’s Republic of China government partners with the schools and partially funds the institutes.

Ramaswamy Campaign Files Paperwork For Ohio Governor Race

Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy speaks during the Moms for Liberty Joyful Warriors national summit at the Philadelphia Marriott Downtown on July 01, 2023 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The self-labeled "parental rights" summit is bringing school board hopefuls from across the country where attendees will receive training and hear from Republican presidential candidates which include former U.S. President Trump, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley. The summit, which is being held in an overwhelmingly Democratic Philadelphia, have drawn protestors since the event was announced due to their pushing of book bans accusing schools of ideological overreach, including teaching about race, gender, and sexuality. Vivek Ramaswamy’s campaign has filed paperwork to begin his Ohio gubernatorial bid.

According to Fox News Digital, Ramaswamy’s campaign filed its Designation of Treasurer form with Ohio’s Secretary of State. The form submitted is one of the requirements for candidates’ campaigns before they make any expenditures or receive contributions.

Ramaswamy has not formally announced his run for Ohio governor but has hinted at it at various times.

“Big announcement in Ohio coming on Feb 24. It won’t be your usual gubernatorial dog-and-pony show,” the potential Ohio candidate told The New York Post Saturday.

According to a report by the Associated Press, Ramaswamy is expected to launch his campaign on February 24th at Cincinnati’s CTL Aerospace Inc.

The filing comes more than a month after it was announced that Ramaswamy had left President Donald Trump’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) initiative.

Trump-Vance transition spokesperson Anna Kelly told Fox News that Ramaswamy “played a critical role in helping us create DOGE.”

“He intends to run for elected office soon, which will require him to remain outside of DOGE, based on the structure that we announced today,” Kelly explained. “We thank him immensely for his contributions over the last 2 months and expect him to play a vital role in making America great again.”

The gubernatorial race will take place in 2026 as current Governor Mike DeWine (R-Ohio) is ineligible to run, having taken office in 2019.

Calif: Huntington Beach Defies Gov. Newsom, Unanimously Votes To Become ‘Non-Sanctuary City’

Huntington Beach, California, city council members unanimously voted to become a “non-sanctuary” city, defying Democrat Governor Gavin Newsom’s anticipated plans for the state during President Donald Trump’s second term.

“As the City Council Members commented, the intent of this Resolution is to deliberately sidestep the Governor’s efforts to subvert the good work of federal immigration authorities and to announce the City’s cooperation with the federal government, the Trump Administration, and Border Czar Tom Homan’s work,” the lawmakers wrote.

“This new City policy and Declaration is common sense, supports our law enforcement, and advances public safety throughout the City. What the Governor is doing does not. Neither the Governor nor the State Legislature with the passage of laws, may interfere with the City’s voluntary cooperation with federal authorities, nor cause or compel the City to violate federal laws such as Title 8 Section 1324 for the harboring of illegal immigrants,” the statement continued.

Newsom (D-Calif.) has openly vowed to “Trump-proof” the Golden State by proposing a legal defense fund of up to $50 million, paid for by California taxpayers for the state’s Department of Justice — “fighting back” against Trump’s policies on “climate change, immigration, and abortion.”

Meanwhile, social media users have argued that since Trump has already promised he would leave the abortion decision up to the states, and it is extremely unlikely that California will ever turn into a majority conservative state, the inclusion of abortion in the “anti-Trump” legal defense plan is unclear and doesn’t add up. Many Californians have also questioned whether this is a money grab ploy.

“This funding agreement cements California’s readiness to serve as a bulwark against Trump’s extremist agenda,” stated Senate Budget Chair Scott Weiner.

Huntington Beach Mayor Pat Burns introduced the resolution to “deliberately sidestep the Governor’s efforts to subvert the good work of federal immigration authorities and to announce the city’s cooperation with the federal government, the Trump Administration and Border Czar Tom Homan’s work.”

“In California in particular, fighting crime is difficult enough with the relaxed criminal laws and lack of enforcement. The State should get out of the way of local law enforcement, stop handcuffing our police officers and California’s cities, and get back to the business of protecting innocent citizens. Emphatically, the State should not take a position of violating federal immigration laws or encouraging cities to violate federal immigration laws,” added Huntington Beach City Attorney Michael Gates.

The new “non-sanctuary city” legislation took effect immediately.

Texas: Gov. Abbott Defies Biden’s Order To Lower Flag To Half-Staff During Trump’s Inauguration Day

AUSTIN, TX - JUNE 08: Texas Governor Greg Abbott speaks during a press conference where he signed Senate Bills 2 and 3 at the Capitol on June 8, 2021 in Austin, Texas. 10:50 AM – Monday, January 13, 2025

Texas Governor Greg Abbott announced that he will be defying federal orders by ordering all flags in the Lone Star State to be flown at full-staff for President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration.

Abbott’s (R-Texas) announcement follows President Joe Biden’s directive for American flags to be flown at half-staff in order to honor former President Jimmy Carter’s death “for thirty days,” which happens to coincide with Trump’s inauguration on January 20th.

“Inauguration Day is a day of celebration for America. Today, I ordered flags raised to full-staff at the Texas Capitol & state buildings for President Trump’s inauguration,” Abbott wrote in an X post.

“While we honor President Carter’s service, we also celebrate an incoming President & our bright future,” he added.

Former President Carter passed away on December 29th at his Georgia estate, prompting Biden to declare that “the flag of the United States be displayed at half-staff at the White House and on all public buildings and grounds, at all military posts and naval stations, and on all naval vessels of the Federal Government in the District of Columbia and throughout the United States and its territories and possessions for a period of 30 days from the day of his death.”

The federal order from Biden marks the first time that American flags have been flown at half-staff during Inauguration Day, prompting criticism from Trump.

“The Democrats are all ‘giddy’ over our magnificent American Flag potentially being at ‘half mast’ during my Inauguration,” Trump wrote in a Truth Social post. “They think it’s so great, and are so happy about it because, in actuality, they don’t love our Country, they only think about themselves.”

“Look at what they’ve done to our once GREAT America over the past four years – it’s a total mess! In any event, because of the death of President Jimmy Carter, the Flag may, for the first time ever during an Inauguration of a future President, be at half mast. Nobody wants to see this, and no American can be happy about it. Let’s see how it plays out. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!” Trump added.

In response, White House Press Secretary Jean-Pierre firmly stated “no,” when asked if Biden would reconsider flying the flags at half-staff on Inauguration Day.

New York’s Democrat Governor and Attorney General Vow to ‘Fight’ Trump

It is a pitiful display of sour grapes and pathetic threats.

New York’s Governor Kathy Hochul and Attorney General Letitia James disgraced themselves the day after the American people voted overwhelmingly to elect Donald Trump to become the forty-seventh president of the United States. Still defiant after the American people had clearly spoken with their vote of confidence in Mr. Trump’s leadership and policies, Hochul and James vowed resistance to the president-elect and his incoming administration. In Governor Hochul’s words, “You try to harm New Yorkers or roll back their rights, I will fight you every step of the way.”

Shortly before the election, Hochul smeared all New Yorkers who intended to vote for Mr. Trump as “anti-American.” It turned out that she managed to insult about 3.5 million New York citizens who voted for Mr. Trump, which was 43 percent of all those who turned out to vote in New York. Hochul’s definition of a “democracy” is a one-party system that espouses one vision for America and does not tolerate any significantly opposing views.

At her post-election appearance with Attorney General James, Governor Hochul likened the election result to the “storms” that “we have weathered before,” such as “epidemics.”  She added, “We fought the first time around and we’ll fight again.”

Attorney General James declared: “My office has been preparing for a potential second Trump Administration, and I am ready to do everything in my power to ensure our state and nation do not go backward…We are ready to fight back again.” James warned, “We’re ready to respond to any attempts to cut or eliminate any funding to the great state of New York. We will continue to stand tall in the face of injustice, revenge, or retribution.”

Ms. James’ Trump Derangement Syndrome led her to abuse her office in a vendetta of injustice, revenge, and retribution aimed at Mr. Trump. To keep Trump tied down in court and strip him of the financial resources to mount another presidential campaign, Mr. James tried to bankrupt Mr. Trump with a bogus civil lawsuit that has already drawn skepticism from appellate judges. Now she is doubling down on her pledge “to fight back again.” What she is vowing to fight back against once again is the American people’s decision to elect Donald Trump as our president once again.

President-elect Trump has promised to begin mass deportation of illegal immigrants, beginning with criminal gang members who have been preying on innocent people, as his top priority upon taking office. The majority of the American people support mass deportation and view illegal immigration as one of their main concerns. But not Hochul and James. They prioritize preserving New York as a sanctuary state and protecting the so-called “rights” of illegal immigrants over the rights of law-abiding Americans to live in a secure, safe environment.

As part of her resistance battle plan to fight “policy and regulatory threats” that may emerge from the new Trump administration, Governor Hochul announced the formation of an “Empire State Freedom Initiative.” Among the alleged “threats from a Trump administration” is immigration, which the taxpayer-funded Empire State Freedom Initiative is tasked with addressing.

Thus, we can expect that one of the first battles that Governor Hochul and Attorney General James will launch against the Trump administration will focus on actions the new administration will take to strictly enforce the nation’s immigration laws. The administration is likely to cut federal funding to sanctuary states and cities. Hochul and James will likely howl and try to obtain a court injunction to stop the cutoff of funding. If that is the way they plan to proceed, the Supreme Court may ultimately have to decide the case. The Constitution’s federal Supremacy Clause and grant of exclusive power to enforce the nation’s immigration laws to the federal government should allow the Trump administration to cut federal funding to a state whose sanctuary policies undermine federal law enforcement.

The Trump administration is also likely to unleash Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents to root out illegal immigrants residing in shelters and hotels, including those housed in New York City at taxpayers’ expense. State and local officials who try to stop ICE agents from doing their job to capture and detain illegal immigrants should be charged with impeding federal law enforcement.

Progressive Democrats like Kathy Hochul and Letitia James cannot accept the fact that the American people chose Donald Trump as the forty-seventh president because they agreed with his policies on the economy, immigration, and national security. Many Americans are tired of being labeled “garbage,” “misogynist,” “racist,” “bigoted,” “xenophobic,” etc. To have their thoughts about the state of the country under the Biden-Harris administration’s leadership that differ from the leftist elite’s orthodoxy. The American people voted for President-elect Trump as a change agent to steady what they fear is a sinking ship.

Instead of vowing to fight President-elect Trump and his incoming administration, Governor Hochul and Attorney General James should do some self-reflection along with their party to understand why they are so out of step with most Americans.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has called out Vice President Kamala Harris saying she has “no role” in the hurricane response.

On Monday, DeSantis (R-Fla.) accused Harris of having “no role” in helping the state recover from Hurricane Helene or prepare for Hurricane Milton.

“For Kamala Harris to try to say my sole focus on the people of Florida is somehow selfish is delusional,” DeSantis said. “She has no role in this, in fact, she’s been vice president for three and a half years, I’ve dealt with a number of storms under this administration, she’s never contributed anything to any of these efforts.”

According to NBC News, DeSantis was not taking calls from the Democratic presidential nominee regarding storm recovery efforts, citing unnamed aides to the governor who said the calls seemed political in nature.

However, when DeSantis was asked by Fox News' Sean Hannity if she has ever called before while preparing for hurricanes, he answered “no.”

“She has no role in this process. I’m in contact with the President of the United States. "I'm in contact with the FEMA director, I’m obviously managing all of our state agencies, we’re supporting all our local governments,” he added.

Harris responded to the Florida governor’s accusations, stating he was “playing politics.”

“People are in desperate need of support right now and playing political games at this moment in these crisis situations … is just utterly irresponsible, and it is selfish,” Harris said to reporters on Monday. “It is about political gamesmanship, instead of doing the job that you took an oath to do, which is to put the people first.”

DeSantis claimed good relations with both the Trump and Biden administrations regarding hurricane preparation and response before Harris.

“She’s the first one who’s trying to politicize the storm, and she’s doing that just because of her campaign,” DeSantis said. “I don’t have time for political games. I’ve got people whose lives are on the line, I’ve got people whose homes and possessions are on the line, and we are focused 100% on that mission.”

Florida Gov. DeSantis Expands State Of Emergency To 51 Counties Ahead Of Hurricane Milton

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis speaks during a press conference at the State Emergency Operations Center in Tallahassee, Florida, on September 26, 2024 as Hurricane Helene was set to slam into the Florida coast as a "catastrophic" Category 4 storm. An increasingly powerful hurricane threatening "catastrophic," dangerous storm surges and flooding was forecast to hit Florida's Gulf coast on September 26, as thousands of residents evacuated towns along the US state's shoreline. Helene strengthened into a hurricane mid-morning September 25 in the Gulf of Mexico and is "expected to bring life-threatening storm surge, damaging winds, and flooding rains to a large portion of Florida and the Southeastern United States," the National Hurricane Center in Miami said in its latest bulletin. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has issued a state of emergency for 51 counties ahead of Hurricane Milton.

DeSantis (R-Fla.) declared a state of emergency ahead of Tropical Storm Milton for 51 Florida counties, including all counties in the Tampa Bay Area.

Areas at greatest risk are communities still reeling from Hurricane Helene and Hurricane Ian in 2022.

The Executive Order (EO) 24-214 includes Brevard, Broward, Charlotte, Citrus, Collier, DeSoto, Flagler, Glades, Hardee, Hendry, Hernando, Highlands, Hillsborough, Indian River, Lake, Lee, Manatee, Marion, Martin, Miami-Dade, Monroe, Okeechobee, Orange, Osceola, Palm Beach, Pasco, Pinellas, Polk, Putnam, Sarasota, Seminole, St. Johns, St. Lucie, Sumter, and Volusia counties.

Milton is expected to hit Florida and become a dangerous hurricane next week with damaging winds, life-threatening storm surges and torrential rain.

Over the next 36 hours, Milton is predicted to intensify quickly. By the time it reaches the Florida peninsula’s west coast midweek, it may be a powerful Category 3 hurricane.

The National Hurricane Center said Hurricane and Storm Surge watches will likely be required for portions of Florida.
