The coronavirus has become a pretext for demanding the release of prisoners and illegal aliens to keep them safe from the coronavirus. But there are people so terrible that maybe we shouldn’t be keeping them safe. And whom releasing is truly dangerous. To the children.
A Massachusetts man convicted of repeatedly raping a 12-year-old boy was ordered released from jail Friday — because he suffers from health conditions that can make him vulnerable to coronavirus, according to new reports.
Glenn Christie, 54, who uses a wheelchair, was ordered released from the Massachusetts Treatment Center by Superior Court Judge Heidi Brieger, WBUR reported. One of the conditions is that Christie tests negative for COVID-19, the station reported.
Christie was convicted of child rape and indecent assault on a child under 14 and was being held for violating his probation conditions, according to the report.
Given a choice between the safety of the children and of a pedophile, Judge Heidi Brieger chose the pedophile.
Judge Heidi Brieger was a Deval Patrick nominee. And in a grim joke, she had served as pro bono counsel, Judicial Consent for Minors Program, Women’s Bar Association.
Christie is a real piece of work.
Assistant District Attorney Michael Sheehan is expected to show that Christie raped the then 12-year-old boy at his apartment, at 12 Castle Rising Court, #202, in Lynn, on several occasions, improperly touched him and showed him pornographic materials on his computer between May 1, 2005 and Sept. 1, 2005.The victim, who is now 17, told authorities that Christie would babysit him at his home while his mother was at work and then sexually abuse him.The case has been lingering for a time due to preliminary trial motions that had to be sifted out, as well as changes in attorneys.Christie was first indicted by an Essex County grand jury in December 2005, but then additional charges were lodged against him and new indictments were handed up in June of 2007.Christie has been free on $3,000 cash bail from the onset of the charges. He faces a potential life sentence in state prison on each of the child rape charges, up to 10 years in state prison on the indecent assault and battery and up to five years in state prison on the pornography charge
So much for that life sentence.
And once again we remember that those who have mercy on the guilty, will have none for the innocent.
