Google CEO Sundar Pichai publicly defended for the first time Monday his company’s work on a censored search engine for China.
Speaking at the WIRED 25 summit in San Francisco, Pichai argued that the search app, codenamed Dragonfly, would be beneficial to the Chinese people.
“It’s a wonderful, innovative market,” Pichai said. “We wanted to learn what it would look like if we were in China, so that’s what we built internally.”
The secretive search product, first revealed by The Intercept in August, would not only track users but would censor terms such as “Nobel Prize” and “human rights.”
Pichai suggested pushback against such features was the result of people failing to understand the values and laws of the Chinese government.
“People don’t understand fully, but you’re always balancing a set of values,” Pichai said. “Those values include providing access to information, freedom of expression, and user privacy. “But we also follow the rule of law in every country.”
Further defending Dragonfly, Pichai argued that despite the app being designed to comply with censorship, the majority of searches would be unaffected.
“It turns out we’ll be able to serve well over 99 percent of the queries,” Pichai added. “There are many, many areas where we would provide information better than what’s available.”
Google’s attempt to re-enter the Chinese market comes 8 years after the company left the region.
In 2010, Google pulled out of China after the government both censored content and attempted to hack dissidents using Google services.
In a lengthy Twitter thread this week, a former Google engineer described how “entire news sections” were censored in China during that time.

Although Google continues to claim Dragonfly is not preparing for launch, a leaked transcript of an internal meeting at the company reveals the search engine could be ready in as little as 3 months.
News of the controversial project has led to resignations, internal protest and criticism from human rights groups as well as a stern rebuke from Vice President Mike Pence.
Speaking at a Washington-D.C. think tank earlier this month, Pence called on Google to “immediately” cease its work on the project.

It appears that Jean Raspail’s dystopian immigration novel, The Camp of the Saints, is coming true. But instead of landing upon on our shores by boat, the real-life “migrants” heading for American soil are traversing over land, through Guatemala and Mexico.
Some 1,500-2,000 “migrants” are heading toward the U.S. border with Mexico. They shout “Yes, We Can” as they break laws, ignore national borders, and squat on foreign soil. They claim they flee poverty and persecution.
For now, President Trump is firm: No entry. The question is whether he’ll be able to withstand the hysterics from the Left when the migrants arrive. Or his own administration officials permitting them to apply for asylum, then releasing them into our nation’s interior.
Trump: Foreign Aid Might Stop
As with the “migrant caravan” earlier this spring, this juggernaut seeks a free pass to enter the United States, where leftist migrant resettlement groups, masquerading as Christian charities, are waiting to resettle them.
Before providing the obligatory sob stories, the Associated Press laid out the politics of the northward march. “The group estimated at 1,600 to 2,000 people fleeing poverty and violence in Honduras marched into Guatemala in sweltering heat Monday, twice pushing past outnumbered police sent to stop them — first at the border and then at a roadblock just outside Esquipulas,” the wire service reported.
But Mexico, happily, isn’t all that interested in accommodating the border-crashing horde, either:
After those encounters, Mexico’s immigration authority sent out a fresh warning late Monday that the migrants would have to satisfy Mexican officials individually and that only those meeting requirements would be allowed to enter.
But it remains unclear if governments in the region — many of whose own people are migrants — can summon the political will to physically halt the determined border-crossers. Honduras’ ability to stop the caravan also may be limited because it has already moved into Guatemala.
Trump did not follow through on a similar threat to the Central American nation in April over an earlier caravan, which eventually petered out.
For his part, Trump tweeted a threat: “The United States has strongly informed the President of Honduras that if the large Caravan of people heading to the U.S. is not stopped and brought back to Honduras, no more money or aid will be given to Honduras, effective immediately!”
The question is whether The Donald has the courage to do that, and to stop this mass of humanity from crossing the border with strict orders to his Homeland Security Department to turn them away.
Sob Stories
Then came AP’s violins: “The hundreds of people fleeing poverty and violence in Honduras bedded down wherever they could, with some sleeping on the grass in a church parking lot; others crowded the floors of a migrant shelter and a sports hall.” AP continued:
The migrants arrived at the Guatemalan border singing the Honduran national anthem, praying and chanting, “Yes, we can.” The group defied an order by the Guatemalan government that they not enter.
“We have rights,” the migrants shouted.
Keilin Umana, a 21-year-old who is two months pregnant, said she was moved to migrate to save herself and her unborn child after she was threatened with death.
Umana, a nurse, said she had been walking for four days. “We are not criminals — we are migrants,” she said.
AP, of course, provided no proof that Umana “was threatened with death,” but in any event, another “migrant” said “poverty back home made it impossible to support a family. ‘Every day I earn about $5. That isn’t enough to feed my family.’”
Amazingly, Guatemalan cops on the border surrendered and let the caravan through, even escorting them into the country. Then they were permitted past a second roadblock. Police told them they must return to the border, but “the migrants refused to budge and eventually officers again let them pass.”
Last Caravan
The last caravan that surged toward the United States this past spring also began with more than 1,500 mostly Honduran marchers. But only about 300 reached Tijuana on the U.S.-Mexico border, the Arizona Republic reported.
By about the end of the month, the Washington Times reported, the Trump Administration had let most into the country to apply for asylum, then released them on the promise to show up for an immigration hearing.

The White House just officially announced the final numbers for Fiscal Year 2018, which ended September 30. They are ugly: The gap between revenues and spending widened to $779 billion over the previous year, a jump of $113 billion (or 17 percent), despite increased revenues. This is the third consecutive year of rising deficits, with no apparent end in sight.
The White House blamed the usual suspects: the rising costs of “entitlement” benefits (i.e., Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, and others) and increasing interest costs to service the rising national debt.
Those interest costs increased by one-quarter this year over last, from $263 billion in 2017 to $325 billion in 2018. By 2020, the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) estimates that interest costs will increase by another 50 percent, to nearly $500 billion.
There is no more talk of how the expanding economy will throw off revenues sufficient to start shrinking the national debt. Now, according to Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Director Mick Mulvaney, the best that can be hoped for is some eventual shrinking of the government’s annual deficits:
 America’s booming economy will create increased government revenues. But this fiscal picture is a blunt warning to Congress of the dire consequences of irresponsible and unnecessary spending.
Going forward, President Trump and this Administration will continue to work with Congress to make the difficult choices needed to bring fiscal restraint, which, when matched with increasing revenue, will reduce our deficit.
The CBO begs to differ. In April, the nonpartisan group projected a $1 trillion deficit in fiscal year 2020, two years from now, and nearly doubling to $1.9 trillion by 2028.  
As far as that “irresponsible and unnecessary spending” that Mulvaney referred to, Congress’ hands are largely tied thanks to promises, commitments, and programs previous Congresses have enacted. Of the $4.2 trillion the government spent last year, six percent went to interest and 65 percent went to mandatory entitlement programs, leaving less than 30 percent to pay for everything else, i.e., military, education, etc.
And there’s precious little incentive even to cut any of those “discretionary” programs for at least two reasons: one, it’s an election year; and two, the real crisis isn’t likely to hit before the next 10 years, according to the Congressional Budget Office:
If nothing is done sooner, the crisis point could come in about another decade, when interest costs as a share of GDP (gross domestic product), federal revenue and outlays hit their highest levels in modern times, and the Medicare and Social Security trust funds begin to reach their breaking points.
That’s 10 years from today, or 2028. According to the Congressional Research Service (CRS), “The average years of service for Members of the 115th Congress, as of January 3, 2017, when that Congress convened, was 9.4 years for the House and 10.1 years for the Senate.” How convenient is that? Just when the crisis hits in 10 years, at least half of those members of Congress now in office will either be retired, dead, or behind bars.
And none of this analysis by the CBO bakes into its cake the likelihood of a recession, which would likely cut severely those anticipated and greatly needed revenues.
This is why David Stockman, President Ronald Reagan’s Director of the OMB, quit in disgust. In his book The Triumph of Politics: Why the Reagan Revolution Failed, Stockman criticized the failure of congressional Republicans to cut government spending in order to offset the loss of tax revenues under Reaganomics. This resulted in the national debt nearly doubling during his brief four and a half year tenure as OMB director.
If the past is prologue, then OMB Director Mulvaney is facing the same challenge: nowhere to cut and no interest in doing so even if there were places to cut sufficient to offset the coming rising deficits. With the national debt pushing $22 trillion, taxpayers could see the debt skyrocket to $30 trillion, $40 trillion, or even higher before that “crisis point” is reached.
Speculation abounds as to what happens next. One school of forecasting predicts that bondholders will no longer be interested in buying U.S. government debt for fear of default. At that point the Federal Reserve will “reluctantly” step into the breach and start buying the increasingly worthless paper from the U.S. Treasury, setting off the ultimate solution to the national debt crisis: default through inflation.

FREDERICKSBURG, Va. — An elderly minister who had been conducting Bible studies in the community room of an apartment complex in Virginia has filed a complaint with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) as he has been ordered to cease holding the offerings in the building under threat of eviction.
According to the complaint, Ken Hauge and his wife, who live at The Evergreens at Smith Run in Fredericksburg, received a “Notice to Cure Default or Quit” surrounding complaints in regard to the Bible studies, as well as the viewing of weekly films in the club room.
“Landlord has received a series of complaints over the last several months regarding your conduct at the community,” it read. “Specifically, landlord has learned that you have hosted Bible study classes in the club room and have recently opened up these Bible study classes to non-residents of the community.”
“Landlord has received complaints from other residents that when they attempt to use the club room while you are hosting a Bible study class, they are being ‘harassed’ and pressured to join the Bible study class, making them feel so uncomfortable that they leave the club room to avoid confrontation,” the notice claimed.
It also alleged that Hauge’s presentation of a “religious” film each Sunday night in the club room, followed by a group discussion about the movie, has resulted in similar complaints. Some residents reportedly complained that Hauge was using the room for counseling sessions for both tenants and non-residents, and that it prevented them from using the area for activities that they had previously scheduled.
“[M]ultiple residents have stated to landlord that they feel uncomfortable using the club room due to the frequency of religious activities and the interactions with you and your guests (both residents and non-residents) when the complaining residents attempt to use the club room,” the notice outlined.
It pointed to various rules about the community, such as that “conducting any kind of business” in the building is prohibited, and that tenants cannot disturb the “comfort” or “convenience” of others. The notice further provided a list of events that are acceptable at the Evergreens, such as birthday parties, wedding receptions, potluck dinners and social activities—none of which included Bible studies.
Under threat of eviction, the notice demanded that Hauge submit a request form and deposit in advance of any activity to allow for time to determine whether that event is permissible, but also advised that Bible studies and “religious” movie screenings will not be allowed, classifying them as business operations.
“[C]ease conducting any business operations in the apartment and the community (including, without limitation, the club room) other than expressly permitted under your lease. Bible study class, religious movie screenings and counselings sessions are not permitted ‘at home’ business operations, nor permitted activities in the club room,” the notice read.
The Hauges deny the allegations and have retained representation from the First Liberty Institute, which after writing a letter to the owners of The Evergreens, filed a formal complaint with the federal Department of Housing and Urban Development. The Hauges contend that the Bible study was only for residents and was never open to the public, and that any claims they pressured others to join are false.
They state that, conversely, they were the ones who endured harassment from some upset residents who objected to the gathering.
“For example, this individual has confronted Hauge in the hallway and subjected him to profane rants concerning the Bible study. Similarly, some residents have attempted to disrupt Bible study meetings by causing noise in the community room,” the complaint reads.
“Other Bible study attendees have received disparaging comments concerning their religious beliefs while encountering these individuals in the hallways. Bible Study attendees felt intimidated by this behavior, concerned that they might similarly be confronted in the hallway and subjected to profane rants and disparaging comments,” it states.
The Hauges also note that they did go through the proper channels to apply for permission, but were repeatedly told to call the event a “book review” and not a Bible study, and after that matter was resolved, the offering was placed on the community calendar by staff.
The formal complaint also contends that the various films that are being viewed on Sunday evenings by a handful of residents cannot be considered religious, as they are general documentaries or travelogues, and any mention of religion is incidental.
“[T]he notice mischaracterizes Hauge and other residents’ habit of watching a documentary or travelogue in the community room as ‘religious movie screening,’ which it also considers a prohibited business activity. The handful of residents who gather to watch the programs on Sunday night do so informally, desiring simply to share a casual activity with others in order to fill an otherwise empty evening,” it states.
The Hauges further argue that they have never held any counseling sessions despite the allegations in the notice. And while they have held mid-week Bible studies for residents and have offered documentaries in the club room on Sunday nights, neither of those events can be considered business activity.
“Primarily, the notice fabricates a lease violation by mischaracterizing Hauge’s Bible study and religious practice as a business activity prohibited in either the community room or the apartment. Hauge may be a minister by profession, but he led the Bible study in his personal capacity and on his own time,” the complaint reads. “Such studies are a common practice among Christians, who often gather outside of their churches to study the Bible and develop friendships in their spare time.”
The filing argues that while the notice suggests that the Bible study was unauthorized, The Evergreens “have been aware of the Bible study for approximately a year and a half, even approving its community room use and listing it on the resident calendar for a time.”
The Hauges believe that leadership at The Evergreens is rather listening to hostile voices of complaint without looking into whether there is any validity to the claims, and are themselves unfairly targeting the practice of religion as its new community room policy bans any use for “religious services or for other religious purposes.”
“For fear of losing their home, the Hauges complied with the notice and policy by ceasing to hold Bible study meetings pending resolution of this matter. We respectfully request that the department investigate … and take all appropriate action,” the letter reads.
“It is both shameful and illegal to threaten elderly residents with eviction simply for holding a Bible study,” Lea Patterson, associate counsel for First Liberty Institute, said in a press release. “Treating residents unequally simply out of hostility to religion violates federal law and taints Virginia’s long history of religious freedom.”
The Community Realty Company, which owns The Evergreens, told reporters following the Hauge’s filing that the minister and his wife have not “been denied the right to practice their religion in their apartment, nor have any other of the residents.”

A Somalian whose deportation from Britain was dramatically halted after airline passengers staged a mutiny demanding his release can be exposed today as a convicted gang rapist who was being kicked out of the country because of his sickening crime.
Officials escorting Yaqub Ahmed on a flight from Heathrow to Turkey were forced to abandon his deportation when around a dozen holidaymakers who felt sorry for him angrily intervened shortly before take-off.
At one stage during the astonishing episode, filmed on mobile phones, one traveller complained: ‘They’re separating him from his family’, while others chanted ‘take him off the plane’.
When harassed security guards caved in and walked 29-year-old Ahmed off the Turkish Airlines flight, he was seen thanking those on board for their support as they cheered and applauded.
One person was heard declaring: ‘You’re free, man!’
But the passengers who thought they were doing a good deed were unaware that the man they were defending had been sentenced to nine years in jail for his part in a vicious gang rape of a teenage girl – and that another member of his gang later fought for Islamic State in Syria.
Today The Mail on Sunday can reveal how Ahmed and three other youths preyed on a 16-year-old stranger after she became separated from her friends during a night out in London’s Leicester Square, in August 2007.
In a planned attack, they lured her back to a flat in Crouch End, North London, by pretending her friends were waiting for her there – then gang-raped her.
The gang, aged between 18 and 20, were caught when neighbours heard the girl’s cries for help and rang police.
All four men denied rape, despite DNA evidence. They were found guilty at Wood Green Crown Court and each jailed for nine years. Police detective Emma Bird said at the time: ‘The sentences given out by the judge reflect the seriousness of this offence.’
Ahmed, 18 at the time of the rape and living in Clerkenwell, North London, is thought to have been granted refugee status after arriving in Britain from war-torn Somalia as a boy….

During a visit to Armenia, French President Emmanuel Macron said that the “epicenter” of the French language is now not in Paris, but in Africa.
“The French language does not belong to any of us but belongs to everyone. She emancipated herself from her bond with the French nation to welcome all imaginaries,” said Macron.
Asserting that the French language was being “enriched with new meanings” thanks to “the youth in Africa,” Macron claimed that Paris or France could no longer be viewed as being at the root of the French language.
“When I speak French, I speak our French languages. Its epicenter is neither on the right nor on the left of the Seine. It is probably in the Congo Basin or somewhere in the region,” he said.
This is not the first time that Macron has made comments that have antagonized critics of mass immigration who feel that the French identity is slipping away.
During a trip to Denmark back in August, Macron asserted that “true” Frenchmen and Danes “do not exist” and that everyone is now a “European”.
Earlier this year, the former investment banker also insisted that “unprecedented” mass migration was Europe’s “destiny,” citing a book by American journalist and professor Stephen Smith, who estimates that the number of Africans living in Europe will grow from nine million to between 150 million and 200 million within the next 30 years.
Macron’s globalist rhetoric hasn’t done much for his approval ratings, which have been hovering at around 29 percent – an all time low.

In a candid interview with CBS host Lesley Stahl Sunday, President Trump admitted that he does not trust certain people in his administration and that he has replacements ‘on standby’.
Following up on comments made by his wife Melania during an interview last week, in which she said there are people who work in the West Wing she can’t trust, Trump told the ’60 Minutes’ host “I feel the same way.”
“I don’t trust everybody in the White House. I’ll be honest with you.” Trump declared, saying that he feels he has to be ‘guarded’ at all times.
“I’m not a baby. It’s a tough business. This is a r– this is a vicious place. Washington DC is a vicious, vicious place.” The President said.
“The attacks, the– the bad mouthing, the speaking behind your back.” Trump added.
When Stahl brought up reports suggesting that the day to day running of his Administration is chaotic, with a ‘resistance’ within the administration, Trump said they are ‘fake news,’ and that anyone who he deems untrustworthy can be easily replaced.
“I have people now on standby that will be phenomenal that will come into the administration,” Trump said, declaring “They’ll be phenomenal.”
“More people are gonna go?” Stahl asked, to which Trump replied “At some point, everybody leaves. People leave. That’s Washington.”
Trump could not be drawn on talk of Defense Secretary James Mattis leaving, noting only that he’s “sort of a Democrat.”

The mayor of Portland, Oregon, thinks it’s just fine if leftist goons swarm the streets, immobilize traffic, and threaten motorists, federal employees, and anyone the totalitarian brownshirts have a mind to declare their enemy.
But Portland isn’t the only city where the thugs have attacked. As they swarmed the streets in Portland last week, their comrades in New York vandalized a Republican Party office and left a warning: The wave of violence is just beginning.
It began the day Donald Trump was elected and hasn’t stopped.
In Portland
The trouble began in Portland this summer, when Occupy ICE, a different but related group of radical stormtroopers, began harassing employees of Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Mayor Ted Wheeler did nothing, saying the federal government is responsible for protecting its own employees and property. But Wheeler is a radical leftist on immigration who, at least ideologically, supports the so-called occupiers.
Angry at President Trump for enforcing border security laws, Wheeler refused to act. The Occupy ICE terror campaign included following one ICE employee to his home. ICE union chief Chris Crane complained in writing to Wheeler to no avail, and the union has now asked the federal government to step in and for Wheeler to relinquish his control of city police.
But Wheeler’s latest letter was tied to events during the summer, not the street terror last week, when Wheeler and city cops stood by and permitted Antifa goons to seize control of the streets. The goons, supposedly protesting the fatal shooting of a Patrick Kimmons, a black man, by police, even terrorized a 74-year-old motorist trying to get through their human shield. They smashed a window on his Lexus.
Wheeler professed himself “appalled” at the violence, but he wasn’t appalled enough to call out police simply watching the terror attack unfold. “I support the decision of the Portland Police Bureau not to intervene at that time,” Wheeler said.
What if the thugs had killed the man?
On top of that, when the Patriot Prayer and other so-called Alt-Right groups marched on Saturday for law and order at the street memorial for Kimmons, Antifa struck with pepper spray. The two groups fought briefly before police intervened.
New York Anti-GOP Vandalism
Meanwhile, brownshirts in New York vandalized the Metropolitan Republican club, headquarters for the Manhattan party. The goons painted the anarchist A inside a circle on the door and broke a window.
Tonight, we put the Republican Party on notice, in defiance to the policy of mass misery they have championed.
The U.S. government has established concentration camps around the country for Latino people, shamelessly murdering black people, and continues its war machine that has slaughtered Muslim people with impunity for decades. The so-called “Land of the Free” leads the world in incarceration rates per capita, all the while profiteering in the new plantation within the prison walls….
Our attack is merely a beginning. We are not passive, we are not civil, and we will not apologize. Those of good conscience and clear mind know this state of oppression cannot remain. The US fascist political system is one of the most savage institutions in history and we will combat it relentlessly until all are free of American barbarism.
Long Wave of Violence
The attacks in Portland and New York continue the wave of left-wing violence that began the day Trump was elected president in 2016. Protesters burned a limo and wrecked stores in Washington, D.C., on Inauguration Day, and ever since, leftists have attacked conservatives and Republicans with the encouragement of top Democratic leaders, who now include Hillary Clinton.
Last week, the failed presidential candidate said “You cannot be civil with a political party that wants to destroy what you stand for, what you care about,” — a not-so-subtle signal to the Left to continue vicious attacks like that in New York.
Representative Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) has openly and repeatedly told supporters to harass and terrify Republicans and conservatives in public; advice that radical goons have taken. Waters told a crowd that “God is on our side,” and recently reiterated her advice: Most recently, anti-Trump, #MeToo lunatics verbally attacked Senator Ted Cruz (R-Texas) and his wife at a restaurant because Cruz supported Supreme Court Associate Justice Brett Kavanaugh. The couple were forced to flee the shouting kooks.
But the Left hasn’t been all talk. Masked goons have repeatedly escalated to violence, as in Portland and in Berkeley, where a leftist professor skated on felony assault charges after he nearly killed someone with a bike lock.
Most recently, a teacher in Minnesota suggested assassinating Kavanaugh. In September, an anti-Trump loon attacked a GOP candidate for Congress with a switchblade.

Globalists have long sold the big lie to citizens that to resist reckless immigration meant that a person was “racist.” The effort has been to stigmatize individuals and groups who aspire to protect democracy, homeland security, their national identity, the rule of law, gender equality, pluralism, and free speech. Globalists also ignore the fact that Western societies are made up of immigrants who respect the principles and customs of their new societies — immigrants who work hard, live peaceably with neighbors, and also oppose reckless, open-door immigration and any form of Sharia. Globalists dismiss anyone opposed to their agenda as “stupid populists,” as they unscrupulously advance hateful us-versus-them propaganda.
Hungarian leader Viktor Orban has lead the charge in standing against the European Union’s open-door policy and bullying of sovereign nations to fulfill migrant quotas, particularly the Visegrad group (Hungary, Poland, Slovakia, and the Czech Republic). Orban has also faced off against George Soros, who has funded the globalist drive, and stated that “the European Union, the European Commission must regain independence from the Soros Empire before the billionaire finishes his program for the destruction of the continent.”
A plan was announced in early October by the European Commission to “bring an end to national sovereignty over finance with the creation of a ‘eurozone budget’ in order to kill off populist politics within the euro region.”
As the EU becomes increasingly desperate to quell the rise of “populism,” it is instead witnessing a growing resolve in the “populist” movement — comprising of those who aim to rescue their nations from the hijrah. Hungary has now unveiled a new plan to escalate the fight against EU bullying and labeling; other sensible leaders should make similar efforts to educate their people.

The Hungarian government has released an English-language video taking aim at the “reckless” European Union establishment on mass migration, migrant crime, and terrorism, and vowed to “shake up Brussels”.
According to the Central European government’s About Hungary website, the video is intended as something of a response to the Sargentini Report which accused Prime Minister Viktor Orbán’s administration of various rights violations.
The report became the pretext for a vote in favour of Article 7 sanctions against the country by the European Parliament — although the Hungarians hotly dispute its claims, arguing it is a politically motivated attempt to punish their country for defying the EU’s migrant redistribution quotas and other pro-open borders policies.
In any event, Article 7 sanctions are all-but-guaranteed to be vetoed in the European Council by other pro-sovereignty, anti-mass migration governments in countries like Poland and the Czech Republic.
European Parliament mainstay Guy Verhofstadt, a former Prime Minister of Belgium who now serves as the chamber’s representative in the Brexit negotiations and acts as a strident advocate for a United States of Europe and opponent and of national populism who frequently disparages Hungary and her allies, came in for particularly heavy criticism in the American-style attack ad.
“This is Guy Verhofstadt. He wants more migration,” the video begins, showing a short clip of the Belgian asserting that “we need migration”.
“These are the facts: 1.8 million migrants have entered the European Union since 2015. Millions more wish to come. Since the crisis began hundreds have lost their lives in vicious attacks all across Europe. Violent crime is rising. And Guy Verhofstadt wants more migration,” the narrator declares.
“This is reckless. Time to shake up Brussels. Let’s protect Europe!”
In a statement accompanying the video’s release, the Hungarian government makes it clear it “will not leave unanswered the offencee committed against Hungary in the Sargentini Report”….

You won’t hear much about this, because the Catholic Church has committed itself to Islamopandering, such that it is largely silent about the Muslim persecution of Christians that has taken place in Africa as well as in the Middle East.
Jean-Clément Jeanbart, the Melkite Greek Catholic Archbishop of Aleppo, gave an interview to a French reporter in which he was highly critical of the mainstream media and even of his fellow bishops for ignoring the Muslim persecution of Middle Eastern Christians. “The European media,” he charged, “have not ceased to suppress the daily news of those who are suffering in Syria and they have even justified what is happening in our country by using information without taking the trouble to verify it.” And as for his brother bishops in France, “the conference of French bishops should have trusted us, it would have been better informed. Why are your bishops silent on a threat that is yours today as well? Because the bishops are like you, raised in political correctness. But Jesus was never politically correct, he was politically just!”
Archbishop Jeanbart was not the first to say this. “Why, we ask the western world, why not raise one’s voice over so much ferocity and injustice?” asked Cardinal Angelo Bagnasco, the head of the Italian Bishops Conference (CEI). Syriac Catholic Patriarch Ignatius Ephrem Joseph III Younan himself has in the past appealed to the West “not to forget the Christians in the Middle East.” The former Melkite Greek Catholic Patriarch Gregory III has also said: “I do not understand why the world does not raise its voice against such acts of brutality.”
But Gregory III should have understood, since he was a major part of the problem. After all, he himself said: “No one defends Islam like Arab Christians.” The Melkite Greek Catholic Eparch in the U.S., Nicholas Samra, also told me to keep quiet about jihad violence. It is to defend Islam that Western clerics do not raise their voice against such acts of brutality. It is to pursue a fruitless and chimerical “dialogue” that bishops in the U.S. and Europe keep silent about Muslim persecution of Christians, and enforce that silence upon others. Robert McManus, Roman Catholic Bishop of Worcester, Massachusetts, said it on February 8, 2013 as he was suppressing a planned talk (by me) at a Catholic conference on that persecution: “Talk about extreme, militant Islamists and the atrocities that they have perpetrated globally might undercut the positive achievements that we Catholics have attained in our inter-religious dialogue with devout Muslims.”
Remember that Mohamed Atta, about the plane he had hijacked on September 11, 2001, told passengers over the intercom: “Stay quiet and you’ll be OK.” The Catholic Church appears to have adopted that statement as its policy regarding Muslim persecution of Christians.

CHESTER, England – Christianity in Iraq is just one wave of persecution away from extinction, said the Chaldean Catholic archbishop of Basra.
In an interview with Catholic News Service, Chaldean Archbishop Habib Nafali said there were now so few Christians in his country that the church there would disappear if it was subjected to further persecution….
“Another wave of persecution will be the end of Christianity after 2,000 years,” he said in the Oct. 5 interview in St. Columba’s Church.
“There is a global game, and the peaceful people – the minorities – in the end will be the ones who are destroyed,” he said.
He said he was fearful of renewed persecution because he believed the Islamic State terror group had not been defeated, but had gone underground. It was suspected of being behind a recent spate of murders of women who had chosen to dress themselves in Western fashions, he said.
“We have seen with our own eyes how they attack Christians,” he added.
He said Iraq’s Christians had suffered “systematic violence” intended to uproot and eradicate them, to “destroy their language, to break up their families and push them to leave Iraq.”
“If this is not genocide, then what is genocide?” he asked.
Christians have lived in what was known as Mesopotamia since the time of the apostles and speak Aramaic, the language of Jesus. But the archbishop said their number has plunged from 1.5 million to just 250,000 in the last 15 years, and they now represent about 1 percent of the population, compared to 6 percent a century ago.
In the decade that followed the 2003 U.S.-led invasion of Iraq, a church or a monastery was destroyed every 40 days on average, the archbishop said.
“There are still more than maybe a quarter of a million of us struggling to stay in our homeland,” added Nafali.
“Others went to more than 70 countries, which is a crime against humanity when you find Chaldeans and Syrians (Christians) everywhere – in Sweden, Denmark, in the U.K. and the United States.”…

Chinle, Arizona – Beth Moore, the female preacher who is increasingly involved in the feminist #MeToo and #WhyIDidntReport movement (which was aimed at scuttling the Supreme Court candidacy of Justice Brett Kavanaugh), recently had her band’s drummer get on his knees before an audience of women and apologize to them on behalf of all men.
Moore started her career as a teacher for women, but now preaches to both genders. Evangelical leaders like John Piper have encouraged men to listen to her violations of 1 Timothy 2:12. Not deterred by Scriptural admonitions against women teaching doctrine or preaching to men, Moore has gradually become a chief proponent of evangelical feminism. Most recently, Moore spoke at an event in Chinle, Arizona, in which an odd scene soon developed.
Kevin Jones, drummer for Moore’s worship band knelt before the crowd in a clearly choreographed moment and apologized to the crowd of women on behalf of all men. Moore tweeted the above photo earlier today.
She said, “Humility can usher in tremendous healing. The most powerful moment at our event for Native American women: This is Kevin Jones, on his knees, our drummer and as Christlike a man as you’ll meet, asking their forgiveness for all hurts and harms they’ve ever received at the hands of men.”
Of course, there is nothing in Scripture that suggests any individual can apologize for the sins of someone else, least alone an entire gender. The very notion is Biblically untenable. Neither is it wise to presume that every woman is a victim, but in Critical Race Theory (which is a Marxist political ideology that applies to gender, sexuality and other “identity groups” as well as race) and in the ideology of Marxist Intersectionality (the combining of two “victimized” identity group, in this case Native Americans and women), it is necessary to presume victimhood upon all.
Beth Moore is fully “woke” and fully feminist, and to prove it, she had a man literally get on his knees before a crowd of women and apologize for the male gender.
The idea that Kevin Jones – who Moore acknowledges is a “gentleman” – should apologize for those guilty of abuse, is asinine. Kevin Jones did nothing wrong, supposedly, and he is not imputed with the sin of abusers by virtue of his genitalia.
Beth Moore is a dangerous woman whose influence far surpasses her capability as a Bible teacher. She is ignorant and unlearned, and has become a useful idiot for the political Left.
The event was held for Native American women on Columbus Day, which is promoted by many leftists as “Indigenous People Day.”

[Lancaster Online]  According to the Pew Research Center, more than 80 percent of white evangelical voters supported Donald Trump in the 2016 presidential election. But a group of progressive Christians, many of whom are evangelical Democrats, hope to change those numbers.
Wednesday evening, that group, Vote Common Good, staged a rally at  Grace United Church of Christ, 1947 New Holland Pike. Lancaster was the second stop on a scheduled 31-stop tour, designed to rally voters in 20 battleground congressional districts…
Doug Pagitt, an evangelical pastor from Minneapolis, and executive director of Vote Common Good, said the election of Donald Trump was the catalyst that birthed the organization.
Pagitt said it was “terrifying” that “Donald Trump was not only a reasonable choice but the preferred choice of evangelicals. This kind of tragedy in the American spirit isn’t just a problem to solve, it’s really a crisis to respond to.”
Speaking to a gathering of roughly 35 people at Grace UCC, Pagitt said the group’s aim is to “flip Congress” as a way to counter the Trump administration’s policies.

Fueled by faith

He said while he does not to promote either party, “It is the way the Republicans and the Trump administration has acted that has caused my faith to fuel me … to do something about it,” he said.
“No one is calling for perfection,” he said. “What every religious person I know calls for is that their leaders act in ways that are righteous.”
That message resonated with Juli Knopp, who traveled to the event from York with her husband, Wayne.
A registered Democrat, she said the tone coming out of Washington, D.C.  has angered her.
“So I thought this would be a good first step to figure out how I can do something,” she said.
Her husband, a former Republican who is registered as an independent, worries that legislation now being promoted in Washington, D.C., adversely affects most Americans.
“It seems that the policies being created now are more and more geared toward a smaller and smaller segment of the world and it’s just not right.”
Jeff Dombach, a computer programmer from Centerville is an independent voter. He said he has supported Republican candidates in the past but “is unhappy with the divisiveness that’s being brewed in politics.
“Even though I’m an old white guy, I think the powers in control are just driven out of fear for losing their status and rank in society and maybe it’s time they do.”

Cannot support GOP

Lydia from Lititz, who declined to give her last name, said she was an evangelical for most of her life and a Republican for 40 years. But no longer.
“I was a Goldwater girl,” she said, referring to the late Sen. Barry Goldwater, who was the Republican presidential nominee in 1964. “But I can’t support  any Republicans now.”
As for evangelicals, she posed this question: “Where is the discernment?”

Historic Christian theology refers to Christ as Prophet, Priest and King. The Romanist Church usurp’s Christ’s role as Prophet, holding that the church can give the authoritative Word of God whenever it wishes. And now, it seems that at least some in the Romanist Church desire to deny Christ as the rightful King over all.
In response to a tweet from Marxist American evangelical leader, Timothy Keller, Australian Archbishop, Mark Coleridge, recently stated that he did not want Christ as either a counselor or King.
From Brisbane, Archbishop’s words caused havoc in social media, with many people seeking clarification. LifeSiteNews, which is basically a Romanist discernment news site, reached out to the Brisbane Chancery asking for the Archbishop to clarify but has received no response after what is now several days.
Archbishop Coleridge is a major supporter an acolyte for Pope Francis and has supported his liberalization of the Romanist church for some time. In 2015, Coleridge argued that it’s no longer appropriate “in the real world” to say that God “loves the sinner but hates the sin” in reference to homosexuality.
Coleridge has also made derisive comments toward Archbishop Vigano, the Vatican whistleblower who exposed Pope Francis’ duplicity in recent molestation allegations. It seems that Coleridge is extremely satisfied with Francis as Pope, but not so excited with Christ as King.

Another name for the neo-Marxism of increasing popularity in the United States is cultural Marxism.” This theory says that the driving force behind the socialist revolution is not the proletariat — but the intellectuals. While Marxism has largely disappeared from the workers’ movement, Marxist theory flourishes today in cultural institutions, in the academic world, and in the mass media. This “cultural Marxism” goes back to Antonio Gramsci (1891-1937) and the Frankfurt School. The theorists of Marxism recognized that the proletariat would not play the expected historical role as a “revolutionary subject.” Therefore, for the revolution to happen, the movement must depend on the cultural leaders to destroy the existing, mainly Christian, culture and morality and then drive the disoriented masses to Communism as their new creed. The goal of this movement is to establish a world government in which the Marxist intellectuals have the final say. In this sense, the cultural Marxists are the continuation of what started with the Russian revolution.
Lenin and the Soviets
Led by Lenin, the perpetrators of the revolution regarded their victory in Russia only as the first step to the world revolution. The Russian Revolution was neither Russian nor proletarian. In 1917, the industrial workers in Russia represented only a small part of the workforce, which mainly consisted of peasantry. The Russian Revolution was not the result of a labor movement but of a group of professional revolutionaries. A closer look at the composition of the Bolshevist party and of the first governments of the Soviet state and its repressive apparatus reveals the true character of the Soviet revolution as a project that did not aim at freeing the Russian people from the Tsarist yoke but was to serve as the launchpad for the world revolution.
The experience of World War I and its aftermath showed that the Marxist concept of the “proletariat” as a revolutionary force was an illusion. At the example of the Soviet Union, one could also see that socialism could not function without a dictatorship. These considerations brought the leading Marxist thinkers to the conclusion that a different strategy would be required to establish socialism. Communist authors spread the insight that the socialist dictatorship must come in disguise. Before socialism can succeed, the existing culture must change. Control of the culture must precede political control.
Cultural Control Rises in Tandem with Political Control
Helping the neo-Marxists was the fact many of their efforts in taking control of culture happened parallel to the encroachment of the state on individual liberties. Over the past decades, at the same time when so-called political correctness has been on the rise, the American government obtained a vast arsenal of repressive instruments. Few Americans seem to know that the U.S. is still under emergency law that has been in force since George W. Bush used the executive privilege to declare a state of national emergency in 2001. In the same year, 9/11 opened also the path to push through the Patriot Act. From a score of around 95 points, the Freedom House “Aggregate Index of Freedom” of the United States has fallen to 86 points in 2018.
Moral Corruption
The way toward the rule of the cultural Marxists is the moral corruption of the people. To accomplish this, the mass media and public education must not enlighten but confuse and mislead. The media and the educational establishment work to put one part of the society against the other part. While group identities get more specific, the catalog of victimization and history of oppression becomes more detailed. To turn into a recognized victim of suppression is the way to gain social status and to obtain the right to special assistance, of respect and social inclusion.
The demand for social justice creates an endless stream of expenditures deemed essential — for health, education, old age, and for all those people who are “needy,” “persecuted” and “oppressed,” be it real or imaginary. The flood of never-ending spending in these areas corrupts the state finances and produces fiscal crises. This helps the Neo-Marxists accuse “capitalism” of all evils when, in fact, it is the regulatory state that provokes the systemic failures and when it is the excess of public debt that causes the financial fragility.
Politics, the media, and the judiciary never pause at waging the new endless wars: the war on drugs or against high blood pressure or the campaigns that assert the endless struggle against fat and obesity. The list of the enemies grows every day whether racism, xenophobia, and anti-Islamism. The epitome of this movement is political correctness, the war against having one’s own opinion. While the public tolerates disgusting expositions of behavior, particularly under the cult of the arts, the list of prohibited words and opinions grows daily. Public opinion must not go beyond the few accepted positions. Yet while the public debate impoverishes, the diversity of radical opinion flourishes in the hidden.
The cultural Marxists drive society morally into an identity crisis by the means of the false standards of a hypocritical ethics. The aim is no longer the “dictatorship of the proletariat,” because this project has failed, but the “dictatorship of political correctness” whose supreme authority lies in the hands of the cultural Marxists. As a new class of priests, the guardians of the new orthodoxy rule the institutions whose power they try to extend over all parts of the society. The moral destruction of the individual is a necessary step to accomplish the final victory.

Despite pledging to trim or even eliminate the U.S. Department of Education, the GOP-controlled Congress passed and President Trump signed the largest ever budget for the unconstitutional agency. While the increase is smaller than last year’s, the Education Department has never received a larger appropriation in its nearly 40 year history.
Under the Fiscal Year 2019 Appropriations Bill passed by Republican lawmakers, the Education Department will receive some $71.5 billion—and that does not count the many billions more in “mandatory” spending. The 2019 budget is more than half a billion dollars larger than last year’s appropriation, which held the record before this one was signed.
One of the largest increases in spending — almost $250 million more than last year — will go to the so-called “Head Start” program to take over even more parenting duties from parents. Not only is the scheme unconstitutional, but it has been a miserable failure even in terms of its own stated goals.
Also receiving a massive boost is Title I Funding for school districts, which will grow by $100 million. Charter schools will get another $50 million, while “21st Century Community Learning Centers” will receive an extra $10 million. The “Office for Civil Rights,” which under Obama played a key role in pushing schools to let boys go in the girls’ bathrooms, will get close to $10 million more than last year, too.
While Trump and Education Secretary Betsy DeVos had proposed minor cuts to the department, Big Government-loving “Republicans” in Congress insisted on boosting the budget instead. For whatever reason, Trump was unwilling to use his veto to help fulfill his promises to voters made on the campaign trail. Last year, though, Congress and the president boosted the Education Department’s budget by more than $2.5 billion.
Critics expressed outrage about the betrayal. “This budget is what reducing the federal footprint in education is supposed to look like?” wondered Shane Vander Hart, a popular education blogger with Truth in American Education. “I don’t know about you, but I’m disgusted.” Countless Trump supporters and advocates of real, locally controlled education also expressed dismay.
On the campaign trail, Trump vowed to reduce or even eliminate the federal boot print over education. He also vowed to eliminate the dumbed down Common Core standards foisted on America by his predecessor and a cabal of left-wing billionaires. Unfortunately, under his administration, the opposite has happened.
Common Core is now more firmly entrenched than ever. The department has more money to waste on hijacking and dumbing down education than ever. And the agency, under DeVos’ leadership, continues to pursue globalist indoctrination at the expense of real education, with the secretary most recently joining with her counterparts from 20 powerful governments and dictatorships to support further globalizing U.S. education under the United Nations.
Anyone who still believes positive “school reform” is possible is not paying attention. It’s time for sensible parents to abandon the sinking ship of government education and head for the lifeboats.

It has the highest Islamic State recruitment in the Western Hemisphere, was the site of the only jihadist uprising in the Western Hemisphere, and is only three miles off the coast of Venezuela.

With Trinidad being a breeding ground for jihadists so close to the US, Donald Trump called the Trinidad Prime Minister in February 2017 to discuss terrorism, returning Islamic State jihadis and other security challenges.
Some positive news, if Trinidad authorities are serious beyond the customary posturing of political leaders:
In November 2017, the Trinidad and Tobago National Security Council approved a national counterterrorism strategy, and has shared intelligence with the United States.

The Ministry of Tourism for the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago hosts a website extolling the many exquisite charms of the “true Caribbean” to be found there. The islands offer rich history, culture, biodiversity, and lodging with views “to die for.”
Of late, though, a diaspora of Trinidad and Tobago emigres have preferred the views in Syria and Iraq, and the company of Islamic terrorist group ISIS. At least 130 of T&T’s 1.2 million citizens left their white and turquoise shorelines to fight with vicious Islamists half a world away. How did that happen? “Entire families went,” including at least 42 children, according to findings in a recent study by UK professor Simon Cottee of Kent University.
While the answer to how this pocket of Islamic terror developed is complex, now that ISIS is territorially defeated and its thousands of surviving foreign terrorist fighters are dispersing to all points, a more pressing question has arisen. What will T&T returnees and their sympathizing community do next without a pressing, defined cause like promulgating an ISIS caliphate?
The United Kingdom, which governed the tourist-heavy islands until their independence in 1976, has this to say on its “Foreign travel advice” website:
Terrorists are very likely to try to carry out attacks in Trinidad & Tobago. Attacks could be indiscriminate, including in crowded spaces and places visited by foreigners.
Closer to American interests and overland smuggling lanes to the U.S. Southern border, the United States and some of its allies in Latin America are worried about T&T, too.
Shia groups like Hezbollah, along with its sponsor the government of Iran, have long held criminal and intelligence footholds throughout South America, as I explained in a recent update on the subject. This has included Venezuela and its offshore island of Marguerite, about 150 nautical miles from Trinidad.
But Sunni extremists like ISIS? That’s a newer upward trend, as I wrote recently when recounting a suspected plot by local ISIS sympathizers in Suriname, just around the coastal bend, to kill the U.S. ambassador in the former Dutch colony. Sizeable communities of South and Southeast Asian Muslim communities live in Suriname, Guyana, and Panama. A steady stream of migration from the Middle East dates to the early 2000s, attracted by free-trade zones in the region, according to the Jamestown Foundation and other sources. Visa-free travel is allowed throughout the Caribbean.
Trinidad & Tobago is a hotspot fitting the profile. Only about five percent of its population is Muslim, according to the CIA’s World Factbook. But this five percent are causing outsized global security concern. A hardline Sunni Islamist mosque and its imams have been accused of ginning up all kinds of trouble for decades. In 1990, a Muslim organization known as Jamaat al Muslimeen attempted a coup against the government. More than 40 Islamist insurgents stormed Parliament, taking the prime minister and most of his cabinet hostage for six days. In 2007, members of Jamaat al Muslimeen were tied to a plot to bomb New York’s JFK airport; one of its members was sentenced to life in prison.
The dark cloud has persisted, but U.S. security appears to be on top of the situation.
Earlier this year, troops with the U.S. Army’s Southern Command participated in anti-terror raids helping to capture four “high value targets” allegedly plotting to attack the annual “Carnival” celebrations. In 2017, Southern Command’s Admiral Kurt Tidd said: “Some of the individuals who left Trinidad-Tobago” have shown up “on film engaged in terrorist acts” and have committed murders in Syria. Even the New York Times couldn’t ignore the developing threat from T&T’s jihadists, posting a story in 2017 citing American officials who fear “that Trinidadian fighters could return from the Middle East and attack American diplomatic and oil installations in Trinidad, or even take a three-and-a-half hour flight to Miami.”….

Asia Bibi is back in the news. The “mother of four, in 2010 became the first woman to be sentenced to death under Pakistan’s draconian blasphemy laws.” Her recent appeal hearing was postponed. Now, a so-called “hard-line Islamist group” has warned of “terrible consequences” if she is shown any mercy:
The ultra-religious Tehreek-e-Labaik Pakistan (TLP) party, which makes punishing blasphemy its main campaign rallying cry and lionizes the bodyguard who killed Taseer, warned the court against any “concession or softness” for Bibi.
Meanwhile, as Christians in Pakistan call for prayer for Asia Bibi, “Muslims are calling for riots.”
Pakistan tries to give the impression that “ultra-religious” groups are an exception, when in fact, such groups are a welcome part of the landscape in that country. Its new prime minister Imran Khan has vowed to “take the matter of blasphemy to the United Nations, saying that few in the West understand the pain caused to Muslims by such activities.”
Also in Pakistan, its blasphemy law is used as a weapon to persecute Christians. Asia Bibi is one such victim, and has suffered for eight years in prison under the threat of death.

ISLAMABAD (Reuters) – A hardline Pakistani Islamist group has warned of “terrible consequences” if a Christian woman sentenced to death for blasphemy is granted leniency in an appeal heard on Monday, a case that has drawn global headlines and indignation.
Asia Bibi, a mother of four, in 2010 became the first woman to be sentenced to death under Pakistan’s draconian blasphemy laws.
She appealed to the Supreme Court which concluded proceedings on Monday but reserved its judgment. The court did not specify when it would announce a ruling.
Her case has outraged Christians worldwide and been a source of division within Pakistan, where two politicians who sought to help Bibi were assassinated, including Punjab governor Salman Taseer, who was shot by his own bodyguard.
The ultra-religious Tehreek-e-Labaik Pakistan (TLP) party, which makes punishing blasphemy its main campaign rallying cry and lionizes the bodyguard who killed Taseer, warned the court against any “concession or softness” for Bibi.
“If there is any attempt to hand her over to a foreign country, there will be terrible consequences,” TLP said in a statement.
Insulting Islam’s prophet is punishable by death under Pakistani law, and blasphemy accusations stir such emotions that they are almost impossible to defend against. Dozens have been killed following blasphemy claims, sometimes by mobs of men.
TLP won more than two million votes in the July 25 elections, though it has no parliamentarians in the National Assembly and only holds two provincial seats. But it wields outsized influence due to street power of its die-hard supporters.
In November, TLP staged a crippling blockade of the capital after a tweak to a religious oath, which it claims was tantamount to blasphemy. Seven people were killed and more than 200 wounded in clashes with the police and TLP’s supporters only dispersed after striking a deal with the military.
In May, an extremist linked to TLP shot and wounded Pakistan’s then-Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal.
Bibi was sentenced to death for allegedly making derogatory remarks about Islam after neighbors objected to her drinking water from their glass because she was not Muslim.
Bibi has always denied blaspheming and her representatives have claimed she was involved in a dispute with her neighbors and that her accusers had contradicted themselves….

Pastor Andrew Bruson was freed from prison after two years and this afternoon he sat down in the Oval Office with President Donald Trump.The President made some remarks first, but when Brunson spoke he offered his thanks to the Trump administration and members of Congress advocating for him:



“We especially want to thank the administration. You really fought for us, unusually so, from the time you took office. I know that you’ve been engaged, and Secretary of State Pompeo also was very engaged and fought for us, and Vice President Pence, we are very grateful. Mr. Bolton. There are a number of people in the Senate, and I can’t mention everyone, but I know that Senator Tillis visited me in prison, so did Senator Shaheen and Senator Graham, and Senator Lankford has been involved from the very beginning. So we’re so grateful to so many people in Congress who stood with us, and who prayed for us, and who fought for us. So we want to thank you all very much.”


During his Oval Office meeting with freed pastor Andrew Brunson, President Donald Trump faced a number of questions about the disappearance and likely kg of journalist Jamal Khashoggi at the Saudi consulate in Istanbul.

When asked about the timing of Pastor Brunson’s release from Turkey following the disappearance of Khashoggi, the President said it’s a “total coincidence.”
