Hillary Clinton’s keynote address at the National Baptist Convention in Kansas City, Missouri on Thursday evening failed to draw a crowd of the size that organizers and Clinton’s campaign expected, so they partitioned the room to hide thousands of empty seats.
A reporter for NBC’s Kansas City affiliate, Brian Abel, tweeted that event organizers shut off the lights in a large portion of the unoccupied room and then partitioned it off from where attendees were sitting.
KCUR national correspondent Frank Morris tweeted a picture of a guy helping partition off the room, saying that the room size was being reduced by a third.
However, KMBC reporter Michael Mahoney reported Thursday evening that the event organizers reduced the room size by half.
Abel tweeted out later during the keynote speech that the approximate size of the crowd was roughly 3,000 attendees.
Event organizers originally anticipated the crowd size to be approximately 9,000 people. KCTV reportedthat event organizers said the small crowd size for Clinton’s keynote address was because she was a last-minute addition to their schedule.
“It has nothing to do with, ‘Well, they don’t like her or they didn’t want to hear her,’” Patricia Carter of Ft. Lauderdale told KCTV. “The schedule for the convention is made months and months in advance.”

Dear Airbnb community,
At the heart of our mission is the idea that people are fundamentally good and every community is a place where you can belong. We don’t say this because it sounds nice. It’s the goal that everyone at Airbnb works towards every day – because we’ve all seen how when we live together, we better understand each other.
Discrimination is the opposite of belonging, and its existence on our platform jeopardizes this core mission. Bias and discrimination have no place on Airbnb, and we have zero tolerance for them. Unfortunately, we have been slow to address these problems, and for this I am sorry. I take responsibility for any pain or frustration this has caused members of our community. We will not only make this right; we will work to set an example that other companies can follow.
In June, we asked Laura Murphy, the former head of the American Civil Liberties Union’s Washington D.C. Legislative Office, to review every aspect of the Airbnb platform, and to make sure that we’re doing everything we can to fight bias and discrimination. Thanks to Laura’s leadership, today we’re releasing a report that outlines the results of that process. You can read the full report here, but I’d like to highlight four changes that will impact the way our platform works:
Airbnb Community Commitment

Beginning November 1, everyone who uses Airbnb must agree to a stronger, more detailed nondiscrimination policy. We aren’t just asking you to check a box associated with a long legal document. We’re asking everyone to agree to something we’re calling the Airbnb Community Commitment, which says:
We believe that no matter who you are, where you are from, or where you travel, you should be able to belong in the Airbnb community. By joining this community, you commit to treat all fellow members of this community, regardless of race, religion, national origin, disability, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation or age, with respect, and without judgment or bias.
Open Doors
We’ll be implementing a new policy called Open Doors. Starting October 1st, if a Guest anywhere in the world feels like they have been discriminated against in violation of our policy – in trying to book a listing, having a booking canceled, or in any other interaction with a host – we will find that Guest a similar place to stay if one is available on Airbnb, or if not, we will find them an alternative accommodation elsewhere. This program will also apply retroactively to any Guest who reported discrimination prior to today. All of these Guests will be offered booking assistance for their next trip.
Instant Book
We’ll increase the availability of Instant Book, which allows our hosts to offer their homes to be booked immediately without their prior approval of a specific guest. Instant Book makes booking easier for everyone, and our goal is to have 1 million listings bookable via Instant Book by January 1st, 2017.
Anti-bias training

We are working with experts on bias, including Dr. Robert Livingston of the Harvard Kennedy School of Government and Dr. Peter Glick of Lawrence University, to make anti-bias training available to our community, and will be publicly acknowledging those who complete it.
These steps are just the beginning, not the end, of our efforts to combat bias and discrimination.
While we as a company have been slow on this issue, I am now asking you the community to help us lead the way forward. Every time you make someone else feel like they belong, that person feels accepted and safe to be themselves. While this may sound like a small act of kindness, we are a community of millions of people strong. Imagine what we can do together.

EXCERPTS: Company calls discrimination ‘the greatest challenge we face’ and has come under fire in recent months for users experiencing racial bias on the platform. Airbnb has hired former US attorney general Eric Holder to help address racism and other forms of discrimination on its short-term rental platform, the company announced Wednesday.
In a blogpost, CEO Brian Chesky called discrimination “the greatest challenge we face as a company” and conceded that he and his cofounders were not “fully conscious of this issue when we designed the platform” and that “there have at times been a lack of urgency to work on this”. 
Holder said in a statement: “I’m looking forward to working with Airbnb to develop and implement a world-class anti-discrimination policy. I’m eager to help them craft policies that will be the model for companies who share Airbnb’s commitment to diversity and inclusion.”
Airbnb has come under fire in recent months as users have spoken out about their experiences of discrimination on the platform, including black users who shared their struggles to find rentals using the hashtag #AirbnbWhileBlack and atransgender woman who revealed that she had been rejected by one of the company’s “superhosts”.
A 2015 study by Harvard Business School researchers found evidence of “widespread discrimination against African-American guests” on the platform.
Federal civil rights law bars hotels and other public accommodations from discriminating against customers on the basis of race, but it is as yet unclear whether those rules apply to Airbnb and other short-term rental companies that do not operate lodgings themselves.
Airbnb’s current policy tells hosts that they are required to comply with local laws, including, in the US, federal anti-discrimination laws. When the new policy is in place, Chesky said, hosts will be required to “read and certify” that they will comply.
In addition to potential legal liability, Airbnb has faced market pressure over discrimination. Black entrepreneurs recently founded two startups, Noirbnb and Innclusive, that would cater to people of color and other travelers who might face discrimination on Airbnb.

GOP nominee Donald Trump hit out at his Democratic rival Hillary Clinton in a speech Tuesday night, saying that her behavior, and that of her aides, should disqualify her from the office of President.
“People who have nothing to hide don’t smash phones with hammers,” Trump told supporters in Greenville, N.C.
”People who have nothing to hide don’t bleach their emails, or destroy evidence to keep it from being publicly archived as required under federal law.” Trump added.

“The new revelations about Hillary Clinton from the just-released FBI documents make more clear than ever that she fails to meet the minimum standard for running for public office,” Trump said.
“If she applied for a low-level job at the State Department today … she couldn’t even get a security clearance based on what she’s done.” Trump continued.
“No one takes all the risks Hillary Clinton took unless they are trying to cover up massive crimes,” he added.
Trump hammered Clinton on her own repeated claims that her handling of sensitive material was not unacceptably careless, despite the FBI finding that it was.
“It’s clear from the FBI report that Hillary Clinton lied about her handling of confidential information,” he said. “She repeatedly told the country that she understood the classified system, then she told the FBI she didn’t understand that the letter “C” meant confidential, or even classified, in the documents she emailed.”
Trump also took to Twitter to address the multiple massive coughing fits that Hillary has suffered in public over the past two days.
The GOP nominee charged that the media is playing defense for Hillary by not asking questions concerning her health, despite #HackingHillary being the top worldwide trend all day Monday.
Hillary Clinton herself again took to her plane and told her gaggle of ‘reporters’ that everything is a conspiracy theory.
“You know, the FBI resolved all of this,” she said. “The report answered all the questions. The findings included debunking his [Donald Trump’s] conspiracy theory.”
“I believe I have created so many jobs in the–sort of, conspiracy theory machine factory because honestly they never quit, they keep coming back,” Hillary added. “And here’s another one. It’s been debunked.”

Time Magazine wrote a gushing report on Germany’s chancellor Angela Merkel as a woman of compassion and vision when she offered Germany as a refugee camp for 1,000,000 to 2,000,000 (million) African refugees in 2015-2016.
I wrote a letter to Time: “Angela Merkel’s lack of wisdom, foresight and understanding of Islam’s historical trajectory provides the most violent religion on Earth a petri dish with which to expand in every nook and cranny of German society. History shows from the time of Mohammed to Charlemagne that Muslims never quit their prime directive: “Convert or kill all non-believers.” That Islamic death-cult welcomes endless forms of violence to conquer every country it settles. No European, Canadian, American or Australian society will survive Islam’s onslaught—without bloody conflict.”
Goodchild continued, “The people who have that Western legacy, however, are disappearing from much of Europe and North America. Instead, we have “multiculturalism,” which really means the dismantling of “culture,” the decline of the West. In our schools, young people are now taught to be ashamed of their legacy, and any courses in the social sciences are perverted to show the “guilt” of those who spent thousands of years developing all that can truly be called “civilization.” Whether our leaders can be persuaded not to continue dragging us in such a direction is an enormous question.”
As the rapes, violence toward females, bombings, shootings, stabbings and intimidation escalate in Europe—Merkel invites more barbarians from Africa and the Middle East to invade her countrymen. Never mind the Charlie Hebdo massacre, Nice, France; Paris, France; Sweden’s rape and riot conflagration; Holland’s breakdown; Brussels, Belgium bombings, United Kingdom’s throat slitting on London’s streets and thousands of individual acts of Muslim violence toward Europeans. Merkel invites more of the same. So do Sweden, Norway, Italy and Spain.
Few leaders take a stand for their countries. Except Poland and now Austria!

Female genital mutilation is customary. “Honor killing” is common: every year, according to Robert Fisk and others, over twenty thousandwomen worldwide die at the hands of their own families, and the majority of these women are Muslim. Yet the term “honor killing” is horrendously inaccurate. Most people in the modern West do not regard it as “honorable” for a man to torture and murder a female member of his family on the basis of some slight act of disobedience, often imaginary.”
Notice at no time does Tony Blair of the United Kingdom allow his family or children to be in contact with the 2.5 million Muslims he invited into that country. Same with Merkel in Germany! And, France’s Hollande! The rich elites never allow their hands to be soiled in the commoners’ problems with multiculturalism.
Exit from Europe to America: Hillary Clinton expects to invite 100,000 Syrian refugees to as high as 1,000,000 (million) African-Middle Eastern refugees into America to create a similar climate of civil conflict within the United States. Such immigrants carry scant education, intellectual horsepower or any ability to contribute to American society. Expect them to end up on welfare paid for by you, the American taxpayer. Expect disruption of your communities, schools and local governments.
Muslims cannot and do not assimilate into Western societies. They create chaos, mayhem and sociological-cultural destruction. It’s the nature of Islam, moderate or radical, no difference.

Donations to Hillary Clinton allowed under new directive

Goldman Sachs has banned high-ranking employees from donating money to the Trump campaign while conveniently leaving a loophole to allow continued donations to Hillary Clinton.
The emailed memo shows that all partners across Goldman Sachs “are prohibited from engaging in political activities and/or making campaign contributions to candidates running for state and local offices, as well as sitting state and local officials running for federal office” effective September 1.
As Mike Pence, Donald Trump’s running mate, is the sitting Governor of Indiana, the new policy prohibits contributions to the Trump campaign.
Conveniently, Hillary Clinton currently does not hold political office, while her running mate, Virginia Senator Tim Kaine, holds neither state nor local political office: as such, their campaign is apparently excluded from Goldman Sachs’ donation restrictions.
The memo marks a dramatic change in Goldman Sachs previous policy, which once excluded partners from its restrictions on political donations.
“The policy change is also meant to minimize potential reputational damage caused by any false perception that the firm is attempting to circumvent pay-to-play rules,” the memo continues.
Goldman Sachs paid $12 million to the Securities and Exchange Commission, and $4 million to the state of Massachusetts, in response to charges that a former banker in its Boston office worked daily for the 2010 gubernatorial campaign of former Massachusetts treasurer Tim Cahill while winning bond underwriting business in the state.
Goldman Sachs’ new policy only perpetuates the argument that Hillary Clinton is the preferred candidate of Wall Street. Clinton earned nearly $675,000 in speaking fees from Goldman Sachs and has refused to publicly release transcripts of those speeches.

Andy Stanley continued his denigration of Holy Scripture in his series, Who Needs God, by establishing himself as some sort of Gnostic leader of a Gnostic church. His Sunday, September 4, installment opened with a response to criticism he’s heard about his previous message, criticism coming from “people who are not part of our church community who watch from the outside.”
HIs opening words found Stanley greeting a number of people, though. There are those at Buckhead Church, where he was … umm … preaching, those on the various campuses of Northpoint Community Church, those watching online “from the lake or beach” during the Labor Day weekend, those watching via the internet, and those viewing from their “strategic partners all over the country” and the world.
Ironically, the critics, he said, are not part of “our church community” like the welcomed masses of the diverse outlets he greeted upon taking the stage. He commented that “It’s always amusing to read the comments of people who are not a part of our gathering.”(Well, gee, Andy, if you wouldn’t put your nonsense on the internet, maybe you could keep it all to yourself and avoid the critics. We’d like that too.)

Yes. That is correct. Some people have come to that conclusion. However, none have come to that conclusion by arbitrary means. It is a conclusion arrived at solely on the basis of what he proclaimed.  The crowd chortled when he said this, but curiously Andy did not make a definitive statement to contradict the conclusion of the critics.

That was from Stanley’s “sermon” last week. Not too many ways to improperly exegete that. Putting it back within the full context of his message doesn’t help either. In fact, while addressing the critics this Sunday, Stanley didn’t walk back that “conclusion” either. In fact, he ultimately reinforces it.
But before getting to that, Stanley responds to his critics by lauding the intelligence of his audience at Northpoint who “gets” what he’s doing.
“I realize part of the reason that I’m easily misunderstood by people who don’t understand what we do because they don’t do what we do and they’re not part of this fabulous community that you’ve helped us create, whether you’re a Jesus follower or not … have chosen to be part of one of our churches.”
Uhh … yeah … okay …
Point one … members of Andy’s church are simply smarter than those watching “from the outside” who “don’t do what we do.”
Point two … Andy, then, is doing something outsiders cannot understand (especially if they’re Bible-believing outsiders!) . It’s a “special” understanding only he and Northpointers have, not something those who “don’t do what we do” can grasp.
In the annals of church history, such a thing has been called Gnosticism. In more modern times, some might call groups claiming special knowledge cultic, kind of like Jehovah’s Witnesses or Mormons. Whatever it might be called, one thing it is not is Christian. In Andy’s case, we know it’s not Christian, not merely by his denial of Scripture’s authority, integrity, and sufficiency, but by the following point number three.
Point three … Andy’s “church” isn’t a church. Most of us already know this, but at least he clarified it here.  Not that he’d dare define church in any sort of Scriptural way (after all, he denigrates God’s Word), such as the fellowship of genuine, regenerate believers in Christ “devoted to the apostles’ teaching,” (Acts 2:42)  Andy does implicitly define what his “church” is. It’s a “fabulous community” created by folks who “have chosen to be a part …whether you’re a Jesus follower or not.”
So, while critical outsiders looking in at the goings on of Andy Stanley and his dangerous, anti-orthodox, emergent theology may not be smart enough to understand the secret smart stuff he’s doing there, those who comprise his “church,” and evidently do “get it,” don’t even need to be believers.
I’m glad Stanley clarified that. But, a gathering of unbelievers isn’t a church, it’s a club. Regardless of how “fabulous” the community is, unless it is intentionally comprised of “Jesus followers,” (there are always tares among the wheat, of course, sometimes, even in the pulpit) it’s something other than a church, and that something is other than Christian.
The world today is exemplary of the very sort of thing Stanley is doing. In our post-modern culture, growing ever more depraved, moving farther and farther away from absolute truth, and towards tolerant personal relativism, words are being redefined. Marriage is perhaps the most glaring example of the world’s attempt to redefine what only God can, and does, define.
But what the world is doing, suppressing truth in unrighteousness, (Romans 1:18) Andy Stanley is doing with terms like “Christianity,” “faith,” and “church.” In this message alone he shifts from calling it the “Old Testament” to referring to it as the “Jewish Scriptures,” a technique he uses to minimize their importance to the Christian faith. He’s redefined Christianity as a thought system one can selectively choose, “Jesus believer or not,” and “church” as a gathering of those intentionally choosing membership, but not predicated by authentic regeneration.
You don’t need to “repent and believe” to be “a part” of Andy’s church. There’s no need to be born again, or even profess to be. As with last week’s message, Stanley reaffirms that you don’t even need the Bible.
“Christianity does not exist because of the Bible. It is the other way around. The reason there is the Bible is because of Christianity. And this is one of the concepts that so many people outside our network of churches have a hard time understanding.”  Andy Stanley
Pointing to the audience before him, Stanley says, “I think that you get it.” Why do people in Andy Stanley’s church understand his denial of Scripture as a valid presuppositional apologetic intended to bring back to church membership people who left church because they were obviously not Christian to begin with?

His straight-faced delivery of this line, gathering some chuckles from the crowd, yet reflects Stanley’s response to the critics who have challenged his denial of Scripture. He and his Northpoint crowd know something others don’t. “But at some point,” he says, “we need to grow up and see this the way it actually is. And the great news is that Christianity does not hang by the thread of the Bible.”

Really? It’s a shame God didn’t know these things when He raised up men through the millennia to protect His inspired Word, when He ensured its transmission through the ages, and its translation into countless languages for the propagation of His Gospel. It’s a shame God didn’t catch on to the special knowledge Stanley has so that He might have prevented the needless martyrdom of men who realized the Truth of God in His Word was more valuable than their own lives.

In Stanley’s case, since you don’t need to be a Christian to actually be a part of the church, it makes sense that the integrity of God’s Holy Word isn’t foundational.  If you’re not going to preach the Gospel from the Word, through which Christ builds His church, then that Word is useless because that isn’t a church.  That’s how Andy is redefining “Christianity.”
Stanley extols a God powerful enough to raise Jesus from the dead, but somehow that same God is not capable enough to deliver to His followers an inerrant, infallible Scripture?  That may be the god of Stanley’s post-modern, gnostic “Christianity,” but it is certainly not the sovereign One of two millennia of authentic Christian orthodoxy.

When he gets to the crux of his message for the day, The God of Jesus, Stanley makes three quick points.  While those points are correct, they offer an incomplete view, but one that supports the post-modern redefinition of faith he’s apparently pursuing.
God is Spirit.  Apart from the propositional truths God has laid down in an inspired, infallible Word, how do you think a “smart” post-modern mind will take this attribute of God?  As the God of a mystical, contemplative, esoteric faith to be apprehended by feelings? (after all you can’t trust the Bible)  Does Northpoint offer Christian yoga?  That would be fitting.
God is Father.  Unlike the mysticism of Eastern religions where God is viewed as a force or a cosmic “oneness,” Stanley points out, again correctly, that God is personal.  But apart from His self-revealing Word, wherein He dictates rules for all people, God as a Spirit Father imbues faith not as founded on absolute truth, but on relativistic, personal preference – after all, it’s unnecessary for the Old Testament, those non-Christian “Jewish Scriptures” to be verifiable.  And as for the New Testament, Stanley merely refers to it as “first-century documents written by early followers of Jesus.”

God is love.  This emphasis perfectly fits the “it’s all about you” false gospel Stanley propels.  Without the need, or call, for repentance and belief, without a clear understanding that His hatred of sin and His wrath upon it are equal divine attributes, God becomes your magic genie, a choice you get to make to enable your life to be fuller, richer, and more purposeful.  The problem, of course, is that Scripture doesn’t teach this God, but, with a diminished view of Scripture, Stanley does.
Indeed, when a “pastor” like Andy Stanley in a “church” like Northpoint can place himself over Scripture, in place of Scripture, and in denial of Scripture, “Christianity” can become anything he’d like it to become.
But one thing is sure … the “Christianity” Andy Stanley touts is not the “faith once for all delivered to the saints.” (Jude 3)  It something foreign, something false, something eternally perilous.
Though the church, from the first century forward, has always honored God’s Word as inspired, infallible, and the supreme standard by which the Christian life of faith is to be guided, Stanley denigrates it as unnecessary.  Those prone to tolerate his errors ought to be reminded of the truth about rat poison.  It’s 97% protein, to be sure.  But it’s the 3% that is lethal.  Truth mixed with error begets error.
The words of Cyril of Jerusalem ought still guide us today. (And since they’re not in Scripture, maybe Stanley will even pay them some heed.)  Winning words and clever arguments can lead astray.  The Holy Scriptures, though, always give proof to truth.  And Andy Stanley is intentionally teaching a diminished, distorted view of truth as he emphasizes the expendability of God’s Word.
But if you’re a Northpoint outsider who happens to “abide in my Word,” (John 8:31) you already know the “faith” proclaimed there is a deadly mixture of truth and error.  Pray for those souls who don’t.

The Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA), rightly claimed by many to be neither Evangelical or Lutheran, has released a resource guide to aid clergy with the performance of liturgy in the “marriage” of sodomites.

The Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) has developed supplemental resources for use within the Evangelical Lutheran Worship marriage service. The liturgical resources were developed based on action by the ELCA Church Council to implement recommendations from the “Ministry to and with Same-gender Couples and Their Families” working group.
The apostate denomination, that claims the slogan, “God’s Work, Our Hands,” and is now in communion with the Vatican, fully affirms homosexuality, and accepts them into their congregation as “needed members with gifts.” Rev. Kevin Strickland, ELCA executive for worship says “These supplemental resources have been created to offer more inclusivity in language, pastoral care, and openness for all persons who seek to be married within this church.” The ELCA adopted a resolution in 2009 resolving to find ways for “committed” sodomites to serve as leaders in the church (page 22).
Preceding many of the great judgments of God throughout biblical history, you will find sexual immorality among the people. God destroyed entire cities (Genesis 18:16-19:29) because his creation practiced these things that are detestable to him. Scripture is undeniably clear the homosexuality is an abomination to God, and in no way does he approve of it (Leviticus 18:22, Leviticus 20:13, etc.). Further, Scripture is exceedingly clear that those who practice sodomy will not see the kingdom of God.
Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. – 1 Corinthians 6:9-10
The council states on page 2 that “The new challenges to long-held understandings regarding homosexuality led many to consider again the meaning and application of Scripture as well as the Lutheran theological heritage.” In other words, the intention is to twist and reinterpret Scriptures to sick and perverted desires of the flesh.
For this reason God gave them up to dishonorable passions. For their women exchanged natural relations for those that are contrary to nature; and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another, men committing shameless acts with men and receiving in themselves the due penalty for their error.
And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them up to a debased mind to do what ought not to be done.
It is very clear that the ELCA does not know God or even know who he is. There is no acknowledgment of Christ, and no desire to walk in the light of his truth. These wicked people who rationalize their sin are ignorant and unstable, and do this to their own destruction (2 Peter 3:16).

In early July, Christian freedom activist Bill Whatcott and a small group of friends used stealth to infiltrate the Toronto sodomite “pride” parade for the purpose of distributing thousands of flyers with a brief Gospel message and the graphic truth about the dangers of homosexual behavior. The flyers also called out Justin Trudeau and other Canadian politicians who aggressively support the militant homosexualist movement.

Whatcott signed up to march in the parade under an alias (since he is well-known to homosexual activists in Canada and would not otherwise be allowed in by those “tolerance” pushers). He named his marching group the “Gay Zombies Cannabis Consumers Association,” and they wore full-body costumes that hid their identities. Their mission was a huge success, as they were able to distribute their flyers to people all along the parade route.

This sent the militant homosexual/”transgender” world into irate fits, and now some militant homofascists, who claim they have suffered “provable” psychological harm because of the flyers, have hit Bill with a $104 million-dollar class action lawsuit. As reported by the DailyXtra:

“Prominent gay lawyer Douglas Elliott has filed a $104-million class action lawsuit against anti-gay activist Bill Whatcott for crashing the 2016 Toronto Pride parade.

“Elliott is also seeking an injunction from the court to prevent Whatcott and his associates from crashing anymore Pride parades in Canada.

… The lawsuit seeks in part to determine the identities of those who marched with Whatcott and those who financially supported the political stunt through subpoenaed documents.

“‘Those who paid for his airfare or donated Aeroplan miles to get him to Toronto, those who put him up in Toronto, the people who paid to print the pamphlets: anyone who helped him in any way could be on the hook for $100 million dollars.’ says Elliott, whose firm Cambridge LLP is handling the lawsuit.”

When homosexualists use stealth and lies to infiltrate every institution, it’s “justified,” but when Christians surreptitiously slip them the message of salvation through Jesus and the ugly truth about the mental, physical and spiritual dangers of homosexual behavior, it’s “hate speech.” When homofascists bully their way into St. Patrick’s Day parades and use lawfare to force people to participate against their conscience in the evil sham of same-sex “marriage,” it’s “legitimate,” but when Christians gain access to their public displays of obscene vulgarity for the sole purpose of spreading messages of life-saving truth, it’s an unspeakable outrage.

Oh, but we’re used to this lunatic double standard by now.

This wicked, frivolous lawsuit is just one of many examples of how the militant homofascist movement is a tool used by the enemies of God, truth and freedom to intimidate into silence those who love truth and hold right, moral views on marriage, family and human sexuality. The primary targets of this vile movement are Christians and Christianity, because that is the essence of the true battle being waged on earth. It is a spiritual battle, playing out in the physical realm, between the forces of Satan and God.

While this lawsuit is in Canada, the very same kinds of outrageous “lawfare” are happening in the United States. It’s the same movement with the same goals: the destruction of freedom of speech, conscience and religion, the destruction of moral absolutes, and the destruction of the meaning of marriage, family and even the immutable meaning of male and female.

The people in this homofascist movement have a deep hatred for God and His Word. They are foolishly proud in their sin, and they despise those of us who tell the truth about it, those of us who expose the reality of their perverse, dead-end behaviors and their despotic schemes. They will not stop until they succeed in criminalizing the truth we tell. Bill Whatcott tells this truth boldly, and he is effective for Christ, so he is fiercely hated by these people, as this insane, baseless lawsuit demonstrates.

However, just because the lawsuit is baseless in no way means it will naturally be dismissed. Dark, spiritual forces are at work here, and they have inspired with blindness far too many people in positions of authority, and they aggressively work to silence those who tell the wretched truth about homosexuality, “transgenderism” and related behaviors. Many of these people would gladly throw Christians in prison (or worse) for opposing them.

China’s leaders have been accused of delivering a calculated diplomatic snub to Barack Obama after the US president was not provided with a red carpet staircase to leave his plane during his chaotic arrival in Hangzhou before the start of the G20.
Chinese authorities have rolled out the red carpet for leaders of India, Russia, South korea, Brazil and the U.K., who touched down on Sunday morning.
But the leader of the world’s largest economy, who is on his final tour of Asia, was forced to disembark from Air Force One through a little-used exit in the plane’s belly after no rolling staircase was provided when he landed in the eastern Chinese city on Saturday afternoon.

When Obama did find his way on to a red carpet on the tarmac below there were heated altercations between US and Chinese officials, with one Chinese official caught on video shouting: “This is our country! This is our airport!”
“The reception that President Obama and his staff got when they arrived here Saturday afternoon was bruising, even by Chinese standards,”the New York Times reported.
Jorge Guajardo, Mexico’s former ambassador to China, said he was convinced Obama’s treatment was part of a calculated snub.
“These things do not happen by mistake. Not with the Chinese,” Guajardo, who hosted presidents Enrique Peña Nieto and Felipe Calderón during his time in Beijing, told the Guardian.

A Chinese official said there was no intended snub.
“It would do China no good in treating Obama rudely,” the official, who declined to be named, was quoted as saying.
“China provides a rolling staircase for every arriving state leader, but the US side complained that the driver doesn’t speak English and can’t understand security instructions from the United States; so China proposed that we could assign a translator to sit beside the driver, but the US side turned down the proposal and insisted that they didn’t need the staircase provided by the airport,” the official added.
The US president offered a diplomatic reply when asked to comment on the airport “kerfuffle” on Sunday during a joint press conference with Theresa May.
“I wouldn’t over-crank the significance of it because, as I said, this is not the first time that these things happen and it doesn’t just happen here. It happens in a lot of places including, by the way, sometimes our allies,” Obama said, adding that “none of this detracts from the broader scope of the relationship”.
Obama suggested his Chinese hosts might have found the size of the US delegation “a little overwhelming”.
“We’ve got a lot of planes, a lot of helicopters, a lot of cars and a lot of guys. If you are a host country, sometimes it may feel a little bit much.”
The Americans always operate big, and the delegation travelling with the president providing support is no exception. At least two giant C-17 Globemaster transports accompany the President. One carries the “Beast”, the armoured car like presidential limousine. As well as Secret Service support vehicles and equipment.  Another one carries “Marine One”, the presidential helicopter, other support helicopters may also be part of the contingent.
With this huge presence landing at your airport, and we know how the Americans sometimes can be assertive and over-bearing, the Chinese figured proper protocol was out the door. Thankfully, Obama said enough of this noise, use the retractable metal stairs.

Phyllis Schlafly, the leading pioneer of America’s conservative movement, has died at the age of 92.



“She is and was an icon of human liberty,” said Alex Jones. “Without trailblazers like her we would have no chance against the forces of tyranny.”



Schlafly, a formidable pro-family grassroots organizer who was politically active for 70 years, founded the conservative Eagle Forum in 1972 and served as president since then, overseeing the organization’s rise to 80,000 members today.



“Her focus from her earliest days until her final ones was protecting the family, which she understood as the building block of life,” the Eagle Forum said in a statement. “She recognized America as the greatest political embodiment of those values.”



“From military superiority and defense to immigration and trade; from unborn life to the nuclear family and parenthood, Phyllis Schlafly was a courageous and articulate voice for common sense and traditional values.”



Schlafly’s entrance into politics was almost accidental; she majored in political science at Washington University because it the the only major that offered classes that fit into her graveyard shift schedule as a ordnance plant worker during World War II.



After the graduated, at the age of 22, Schlafly led the 1946 campaign of Republican congressional candidate Claude Bakewell to a major upset victory.



She was also a key player in the defeat of the Equal Rights Amendment pushed by feminists in the 1970s, arguing that the ERA was designed to benefit single, young career women at the expense of middle-aged housewives with few job prospects.



The amendment was ratified by 35 states, three short of the necessary 38.



“The ERA was defeated when Scholarly turned it into a war among women over gender roles,” said legal scholar Joan C. Williams.



She was also a frequent guest on the Alex Jones Show.

WASHINGTON — Concerns are being expressed over a new rule proposed by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) that suggests that it plans to ban states from defunding abortion providers like Planned Parenthood.



The notice of proposed rulemaking, “Compliance with Title X Requirements by Project Recipients in Selecting Subrecipients,” outlines that it plans to amend the Code of Federal Regulations to read, “No recipient making subawards for the provision of services as part of its Title X project may prohibit an entity from participating for reasons unrelated to its ability to provide services effectively.”



Title X was enacted in 1970 under the Public Health Service Act and authorizes the Office of Population Affairs to oversee the disbursement of federal funds for the purpose of assisting organizations that offer “family planning” services. States distribute the capital to reproductive and women’s health organizations as they see fit.







In recent years, a number of states have sought to defund the abortion giant Planned Parenthood after granting the organization funds for years, stating that they do not wish to assist groups that provide abortion services, even if the funds will not be directly used for abortion.



But the Obama administration contends that stripping abortion facilities of funding adversely affects the number of unplanned births in the nation.



“Certain states have policies in place which limit access to high quality family planning services by restricting specific types of providers from participating in the Title X program,” HHS wrote in its proposed rule notice. “These policies, and varying court decisions on their legality, has led to uncertainty among grantees, inconsistency in program administration, and diminished access to services for Title X target populations,” it wrote.



“Reducing access to Title X services has many adverse effects. Title X services have a dramatic effect on the number of unintended pregnancies and births in the United States,” HHS continued. “For example, services provided by Title X-funded sites helped prevent an estimated 1 million unintended pregnancies in 2010 which would have resulted in an estimated 501,000 unplanned births.”



The department also asserted that defunding family planning facilities because they perform abortions “may shift funding from relatively high quality family planning service providers to providers of lower quality.”



But some have expressed concern about the proposed rule and its effect of forcing states to fund Planned Parenthood, including Tennessee Rep. Diane Black, a member of the Select Investigative Panel on Infant Lives.



“This latest stunt from President Obama’s Department of Health and Human Services should surprise absolutely no one,” she said in a statement on Tuesday. “We’ve known all along that the Obama Administration will go to untold lengths to protect its friends in the big abortion industry.”



Black outlined she plans to write a letter explaining why a number of members of Congress oppose the move.



“We must use the full force of Congress and the grassroots strength of the national pro-life movement to defeat this absurd rule and prevent the Obama Administration from acting unilaterally to carry out political favors and prop up a scandal-ridden abortion provider,” she stated.

At the far end of a parking lot in an inconspicuous strip-mall in suburban Denver sits Masterpiece Cakeshop.



In the summer of 2012, two men enter the shop. One of them heads straight for the wedding cake displays, which sits in an area painted in muted colors and strewn with lace table cloths.



The employees tasked with handling the front of the shop are busy tending to consumers, so owner Jack Phillips, the kind of guy who’s more comfortable dealing with sugar paste than strangers, jumps in to help out.



We’d like you to design a cake for our wedding, the man explains, motioning to his partner at the other side of the shop.



Sorry, Phillips responds, I can’t create specialty cakes for gay weddings. If you’d like, I can sell you anything else you want — cupcakes, pastries, whatever.



Anger flushes over the would-be customer, who stands up, curses, and flips off Phillips while he heads for the door — a reaction that is well within the normal bounds of serious disagreements in American life.



The entire episode takes, maybe, 30 seconds.



When Phillips declined to participate in celebrating the wedding of David Mullins and Charlie Craig that day, his life was upended in ways that people who argue passionately about the culture war on social media or political blogs might not fully appreciate.



But those 30 seconds were clarifying in many other ways. It showed us that most of the media are incapable (or unwilling) to lay out the debate over religious freedom in an honest or enlightening way. It’s shown us that many of those who praise the diversity of American life have, in reality, lost their compassion and the ability to tolerate anyone who disagrees with their worldview.



Those 30 seconds have shown us that those in power — including every presidential candidate — are unwilling to stand in the way of a state that has the power to crush dissent by forcing citizens to choose between their livelihoods and their faith. No one likes to be called mean names.



Lakewood, Colorado



Aesthetically speaking, Masterpiece Cakeshop feels like the past. In Lakewood, a well-established neighborhood situated between Denver and the foothills in eastern Jefferson County, prosperity is crowding out the commercial diversity. There’s a Whole Foods and King Sooper within a mile of Masterpiece. Both are eating into Jack’s bottom line, and both would probably make you a 10-layer cake celebrating your polyamorous transgendered wedding if you asked.



Masterpiece opened in 1993 here, not far from where Phillips has lived most of his life. His mom and dad, a World War II vet who fought on the European front, brought up his two sisters and two brothers nearby, attending high school only a couple of miles from the shop.



The people of Lakewood grapple with many of the tensions of contemporary American life, including the increasingly intrusive presence of the state. Three of the top five employers in the city are government institutions. Locals refer to the seat of power in Jefferson County as “Taj Mahal,” and with its outsized importance comes convoluted regulatory demands and, over the years, a fair amount of corruption.



Not that any of those factors concern the T-shirt-and-jeans-outfitted Phillips, who admits his disposition is conservative though not especially ideological. When Sean Hannity pops up in our conversation about the looming presidential election — a contest he follows only tangentially — Phillips admits that though he might be able to pick the famous conservative talker out of a lineup, “I don’t know if I’ve ever listened to him.”



Phillips was brought up a Baptist of sorts. Like a lot of Americans, he stopped attending church as soon as he was old enough to get away with it, only to find God again when he had kids — a son and two daughters. Now, nothing matters more, he says.



A half hour after Mullins and Craig storm out of Masterpiece Cakeshop, the store’s phone rings. An irate caller asked Jack if he’s the jerk who turned away the gay couple. Well, no, I just don’t design cakes for same-sex weddings; I didn’t turn away anyone, he explains.



This distinction fails to pacify the agitated man, and after offering an array of colorful suggestions, he hangs up. In the hour between the incident and closing time that Thursday night, Phillips estimates he received another six comparably incensed calls berating him for cake-denying bigotry. When he finally got home, his inbox is fuller than it’s ever been. And it’s not because locals have a sudden hankering for Funshine Cookie Pops.



Jack begins his demanding work at 6 a.m. the next morning, so he can prepare for a Bible study class he hosts on Fridays. The phone is already ringing. It rings all day. All day Saturday (probably all day Sunday) and all day Monday, as well. Angry voices, swearing at him; demanding cakes; threatening him. Jack stops answering.



Then the protestors show up.



One of the disadvantages of showing off your righteous passion in a suburban parking lot in Lakewood, Colorado is that very few people can see or hear you. So the activists picketing Masterpiece that weekend were forced to pick up their rainbow flags and move to a busy intersection on nearby Wadsworth Ave — right across the street from another bakery. Actually, within the five square miles radius of Masterpiece there are a dozen places that could have accommodated the jilted couple.



Then again, this has nothing to do with a cake.



On Monday, the TV stations showed up. By Tuesday, Jack was on local news. Then the social conservatives of Focus on The Family, which is located in Colorado Springs, called. And then Fox News. By Wednesday, everything blew up.



“I heard about it three days after it broke,” Nicolle Martin, Phillips’ lawyer tells me, “and I’m not typically a local news follower.” What Martin said she saw on television was a man of faith being maligned as a bigot and a hater for doing nothing more than following his conscience.



“Oh my goodness, I thought: I’m going to tell this gentleman that he has a right as an artist not to create something that expresses an idea that is against his will and faith, and that he is still free to operate his small business,” she goes on. “I just wanted him to know that he wasn’t alone should something legal should come of this — even after they get their 15 minutes of fame.”



Martin is relatively new to First Amendment litigation, having worked in insurance law most of her career. Then, as she started having kids, she transitioned into corporate law. The latter, she assures me, is prosperous but far less stimulating intellectually and spiritually. After hearing her choke up about the case, it’s pretty obvious.



Martin’s office was kitty-corner from Masterpiece, so she drove over and dropped off her card. Don’t worry, she assured Phillips, “common sense will prevail.”

The Tribunal



The first letter from the Colorado Civil Rights Commission arrived soon enough. Americans, evidently, no longer share a “common” sense about societal norms. So Mullins and Craig had lawyered up immediately — contacting the ACLU, once champions of free expression and now champions of hurt feelings.



The charges against Masterpiece Cakeshop were riddled with mistakes — it named the wrong statute and the wrong entity, for starters. Nevertheless, the Phillips’ years-long, business-obliterating Kafkaesque journey through state hearings, protests, lawyers, and possibly a Supreme Court case had begun. Jack would be hauled in front a tribunal that would determine whether his Christian faith was genuine.



It is worth mentioning that public accommodation laws have been on the books for a while. Phillips had never turned anyone away in his shop, and the incident at Masterpiece Cakeshop in 2012 went down before gay marriage was legal in Colorado, or anywhere else in the country, for that matter. In fact, at the time of the incident, Colorado’s constitution featured an amendment, passed in 2006 by a 56 percent margin, codifying marriage as a union between one man and one woman. (Disclosure: as a columnist at The Denver Post during these battles, I regularly argued in support of gay marriage.)



The commission was not above retroactive punishment, however. At the time, being found guilty of violating civil rights laws didn’t only mean the end of his Phillips’ life’s work. The punishment for refusing to make a special cake for a gay wedding was $500 and one year in prison per charge (jail time was only later amended out of the law when general public learned about the statue).



The shop was not only ordered to alter its policy and start participating in gay weddings or else face debilitating fines, it was told to provide comprehensive staff training, ensure compliance, then file quarterly obedience reports with the government for two full years. In these reports, Phillips was to describe exactly which remedial measures the shop had taken to conform, and document the reasons any other patrons were denied service.



Colorado’s Thought Police would teach Phillips how to stop himself acting on any ideas that were heretical.



The commission could only pass quasi-criminal judgments. In the end, these charges had to be authorized by the attorney general, who was charged with executing complaints and filing formal proceedings. In this case, that person was John Suthers, a Republican. He did.



“Freedom of religion and religion has been used to justify all kinds of discrimination throughout history, whether it be slavery, whether it be the holocaust, whether it be — I mean, we — we can list hundreds of situations where freedom of religion has been used to justify discrimination. And to me it is one of the most despicable pieces of rhetoric that people can use to — to use their religion to hurt others.”

Phillips’ dad had helped liberate Buchenwald from the Nazis in 1945. He’s not around anymore, though you imagine he’d probably have some fascinating thoughts about a government official who compares the extermination of six million people with a couple being slightly inconvenienced in procuring a specialty wedding cake.



Like any self-righteous zealot, Rice functions without concern for the practical implications of her power. In a rational world, her nonsensical haranguing would be dismissed as the ravings of an ignorant freshman who was cracking open Chomsky for the first time. In this world, Rice is appointed by the governor to mete out punishment on once free men.



Rice’s attack is not unique. Christians are regularly compared to Southern segregationists and racists, when in reality the comparison is best reversed. Yes, the power of Jim Crow reflected popular will, but it was sanctioned by the state. The Colorado Civil Rights Commission is similarly empowered by the state to use its arbitrary power to destroy the reputations, businesses, and lives of those who happen to offend their sensibilities.







To anyone who believes the State of Colorado is a non-ideological arbiter of justice and laws governing discrimination rather than activists enforcing their own morality on others, consider this.



In 2015, a Christian activist named Bill Jack walked into three separate bakeries, one an erotic-themed shop, and asked for each to design a cake in the shape of a Bible, with one side saying, “God hates sin – Psalm 45:7,” and the other, “Homosexuality is a detestable sin – Leviticus 18:22.” On another cake, Jack requested that the bakery inscribe a Bible verse on one side: “While we were yet sinners Christ died for us – Romans 5:8” and on the other “God loves sinners.”



In all instances, the proprietors refused to take the project. And why should any American be forced to create something that clashes against their conscience? So Jack, obviously hoping to prove a point, filed a complaint with the Colorado Civil Rights Commission. Christians, after all, are also ostensibly a protected class in the state.



What to do? Well, the commission decided that bakers who discriminate against Christians were offended by content of the message and not the patron’s Christianity. At the same time, the commission claimed the opposite was true for Phillips, whom they asserted wasn’t offended by the gay wedding cake itself but rather by the sexual orientation of the couple.



“There’s no law that says that a cake-maker has to write obscenities in the cake just because the customer wants it,” responded Mark Silverstein, the legal director for Colorado’s American Civil Liberties Union. Despite some reports to contrary, Jack says he didn’t ask for any “obscenities” — defined as extremely offensive word or expressions — on the decorations. The problem is simple that we’re still not at the point where the commission or the ACLU can openly state that this is about enforcing new progressive norms and unsavory biblical quotes did not deserve the same protection.



When the Colorado Court of Appeals affirmed the decision of the commission to punish Phillips, this is what a judge had to say:





The Division found that the bakeries did not refuse the patron’s request because of his creed, but rather because of the offensive nature of the requested message. Importantly, there was no evidence that the bakeries based their decisions on the patron’s religion, and evidence had established that all three regularly created cakes with Christian themes.





In other words, freedom of expression is contingent on a commission of unelected bureaucrats burrowing into the consciousness of those involved and ascertaining what they’re really thinking. A judge is then tasked with decide what expression of faith is acceptable.



Welcome to America, 2016.

When Jack and his wife opened their business in the early ’90s, they made a decision: Masterpiece would adhere to their Christian values. So, no alcoholic cakes. No Halloween cakes. No bachelor or bachelorette party cakes — at least, nothing salacious. When potential customers would call Masterpiece over the ensuing 20 years inquiring about these types of desserts, the owners would gently tell them about other bakeries in the area that would meet their needs.



From time to time, a gay couple might also ask about a wedding cake. And they were always given a similar answer.



“Wedding have always been our specialty,” Phillip says again. “We can make pastry trays. We can make cupcakes. But a wedding ceremony is a unique event — it’s not a cake for a picnic. It has meaning for me.”



According to the commission, this was all a façade so that 23 years down the road, when society’s ideas about marriage changed, Jack could reject a gay couple looking for unique cake. That’s how deep his hatred ran. Of course, the idea that this reserved couple — Jack’s wife was in the back when I visited, too shy to speak to me — were using their Christianity to mask some furtive bigotry would be seem absurd to anyone who spent five minutes in this place.



When I meet Phillips he seems busy, with timers going off, triggering him to run to the back to deal with his ovens. After the incident, with the help of Focus on the Family and others, Christians began coming to the bakery from around the area to lend their support. This community has allowed Masterpiece to survive. As Jack’s celebrity fades, that support is petering out. Without specialty wedding cakes, there is no viable business in the long-run. That was a reality the shop had been grappling with even before even before the commission decided to shut them down.



“When I opened there were only like five bakeries in town,” Jack says. “Now, there is one nearly across the street. And you have the supermarkets, too.”



Throughout my conversation with Phillips, I try to pierce through the matter-of-factness of his tone and detect a hint of bitterness or anger about the situation. The idea that government can destroy 23 years of your work over a petty grievances of a single couple might induce some resentment in even the most peaceful among us.



“I don’t think any stronger feelings or lesser feelings about government than before,” responds Phillips, who hasn’t uttered a single negative word about Mullins and Craig. “They’re dealing with too many things they shouldn’t be. And I thought that before.”



The only time I sense any displeasure from Jack is when I broach the topic of mass-producing confectionary treats. It might sound cheesy to us, but there’s a real artistry in what he does. When you see his work up close, you get a sense of the individuality and care put into each cake. Jack can create a virtual replica of anything — like the people on “Cake Boss” and others.



By the way, he informs me, those reality baking shows hurt his business: “Everyone thinks they can do it now.”



He shows me a binder filled with pictures of the most impressive creations over years — the Millennium Falcon or the Eiffel Tower, and plenty of original pieces that impress this layman. I doubt anyone can do it.



It’s this artistry and craft that sits at the core of the case. He’s not making a snack. He’s saying something. “The question is, are you free to believe anything you want, and just not act on it?” says Martin. “Can you force someone to communicate a message he fundamentally disagrees with?”



The answer is, yes. At least so far.



The Colorado state Court of Appeals upheld the administrative-law judge ruling against Masterpiece, and then the Colorado Supreme Court decided against hearing the case. So his lawyers have now petitioned the U.S. Supreme Court.



For various reasons, including the media’s simplistic should-we-allow-people-to-discriminate coverage of these kinds of stories, most people seem to be unable to comprehend that this is about a lot more than supposed “discrimination.” Phillips doesn’t want to be forced to endorse the ceremony any more than I as a Jew would want to be forced to write a column praising the greatness of a Scientology.



This isn’t some phony cult concocting a new doctrine. Millions of Christians hold some form of a genuine, centuries’-long religious conviction that prohibits them from celebrating gay marriages. If you still support state coercion against them, then we might as well concede that religious freedom and true freedom of expression aren’t compatible with our new conception of a contemporary society. So the question is: Does the average American really believe society has a right to demand that a person paint or write a novels — or make cakes — that celebrate acts that undermine their beliefs? Congress is set to consider new legislation that would block the Obama administration from awarding Iran billions of U.S. taxpayer dollars in what many describe as a ransom payment, according to a copy of the legislation obtained by the Washington Free Beacon.



Sen. Marco Rubio (R., Fla.) will introduce on Tuesday new legislation that would prohibit the Obama administration from moving forward with all payments to Iran, according to the bill, which would also force Iran to return billions of dollars in U.S. funds that have already been delivered to Tehran by the White House.



Rubio’s bill—a version of which is also being introduced in the House by Rep. Mike Pompeo (R., Kan.)—would mandate that Iran pay American victims of terrorism some $53 billion in reparations for past attacks planned and coordinated by the Islamic Republic.



The legislation comes amid a growing scandal surrounding the Obama administration’s decision to pay Iran $1.7 billion earlier this year as part of an effort to free imprisoned U.S. hostages. The payment, details of which were kept secret from Congress and the American people, is expected to become the focus of several congressional investigations in the coming weeks.



“President Obama’s disastrous nuclear deal with Iran was sweetened with an illicit ransom payment and billions of dollars for the world’s foremost state sponsor of terrorism,” Rubio said in a statement provided to the Free Beacon. “The U.S. government should not be in the business of negotiating with terrorists and paying ransom money in exchange for the release of American hostages. Doing so puts more Americans in danger, as President Obama himself admitted.”



The State Department recently reissued a travel warning for U.S. citizens traveling to Iran due to the possibility of kidnapping and imprisonment by the Iranian government.



Rubio said his new bill “would stop the Obama administration from making any further payments to Iran from the [Treasury Department’s] Judgment Fund until Iran returns the ransom money it received and pays the American victims of Iranian terrorism what they are owed.”



“President Obama may have attempted to appease our enemy with pallets of cash secretly delivered on an unmarked cargo plane, but Iran continues to cheat on the nuclear deal, harass our military, hold Americans hostage, and fund terrorism around the world,” Rubio added. “Iran should be held accountable, and the Obama administration’s misguided policies must be stopped.”



Rubio’s bill, called the No Ransom Payments Act, is co-sponsored by Sens. John Cornyn (R., Texas), Mark Kirk (R., Ill.), Kelly Ayotte (R., N.H.), John Barrasso (R., Wyo.), and Shelley Moore Capito (R., W.Va.).



“Congress is taking a clear stand—demanding Iran return the more than $1 billion the Obama Administration wrongly gave them and putting a stop to any and all future money this administration, or any administration might want to give to state sponsors of terrorism like Iran,” Pompeo, a member of the House Intelligence Committee, told the Free Beacon. “The American people know this is an unacceptable use of their taxpayer dollars and we wholeheartedly agree. It is unprecedented and dangerous for President Obama to be doling out millions to the Islamic Republic of Iran—in the dead of night, under wraps, and in cash. Kansans expect and demand better from their government.”



Rubio on Tuesday also filed a separate piece of legislation that would stop the Obama administration from permitting U.S. corporations and banks from selling Iran aircraft and mechanical parts.



The Obama administration has sought to issue waivers to remove sanctions on companies and banks that could facilitate these transactions with Iran.

When HLN cancelled Dr. Drew in August, the network said the decision was “mutually agreed” upon by both network executives and the show’s host, Dr. Drew Pinsky — but according to a report, executives at CNN (HLN’s sister network) pressured Pinsky to retract comments he made about Hillary Clinton’s health before the show was cancelled a few days later.



“CNN is so supportive of Clinton, network honchos acted like the Mafia when confronting Drew,” a source close to Pinsky told the New York Post‘s Page Six. “First, they demanded he retract his comments, but he wouldn’t.”



During a radio interview with John McIntyre on August 16, Dr. Pinsky commented on the release of the Democratic presidential candidate’s medical records, saying that based upon the information he had reviewed with another doctor, he was “gravely concerned not just about her health, but her health care.”



“Both of us concluded that if we were providing the care she was receiving, we would be ashamed to show up in a doctors’ lounge,” Dr. Pinsky concluded. “We would be laughed out. She’s receiving sort of 1950s level care by our evaluation.”



Eight days later, CNN executive vice president Ken Jautz announced that the last episode of Dr. Drew would air September 22.



“Dr. Drew and his team have delivered more than five years of creative shows and I want to thank them for their hard work and distinctive programming,” Jautz said in a statement announcing the show’s cancellation. “Their audience-driven shows, in particular, were innovative and memorable TV. And Dr. Drew has been an authoritative voice on addiction and on many other topical issues facing America today.”



The cancellation was framed as part of a broader shakeup at HLN, including the end of Nancy Grace’s long-running show on the network.



But a source close to Dr. Pinsky told Page Six that the host’s comments on Clinton’s health led to a series of “nasty” phone calls and emails from network executives that were “downright scary and creepy.”



A representative for CNN did not immediately return Breitbart News’ request for comment.



Dr. Pinsky had previously commented on questions surrounding Clinton’s health, which has become an issue in the 2016 race as critics attempt to show she is physically unfit for the presidency. During a radio interview in January, Dr. Pinsky said he was concerned with the “quality of the overall care” Clinton was receiving. He also discussed Clinton’s health during a January 19 episode of his HLN show, and later apologized for violating HLN and CNN editorial standards by citing an “unsubstantiated report.”



Meanwhile, questions about Clinton’s health have continued to dog the candidate with just two months left until Election Day. On Friday, the FBI released documents that revealed that Clinton told Bureau investigators during a July 2 interview that she could not recall all of the briefings she had been given on handling sensitive information due to a concussion she sustained in 2012.



“Based on her doctor’s advice, she could only work at State for a few hours a day and could not recall every briefing she received,” the FBI documents stated.

An evolution-propagandizing illustrated children’s book is drawing praise from the secular community and currently ranks as a best seller on Amazon.com.



“Annabelle & Aiden: The Story Of Life” is a 26-page children’s book that was published last month. Advertised as an “inspirational storybook” that will help kids “gain a basic understanding of evolution,” the book walks readers through the history of life according to Charles Darwin.



Featuring a “wise owl” who describes evolution to two young girls named Annabelle and Aiden, the book proselytizes evolution using rhyming text and whimsical illustrations.







“Why do we look the way that we do? With hands and feet in neat sets of two?” asks Anabelle in the book’s opening pages. “What made my eyes? And what made my nose? And the shape of my body from my head to my toes?”



In response to Anabelle’s questions, the owl describes the evolutionary theory of life’s origins, beginning with a lifeless blob millions of years ago.



“In a little corner, on a tiny blue dot, deep under the ocean, in a very special spot…An itty bitty thing woke up anew, and came alive. I tell you, it’s true!” the owl says.



“But to share this world, it needed a friend,” the owl continues. “So it pushed and it pushed and it managed to create a perfect copy of itself: a new friend and mate.”



The owl goes on to say that “slight random changes” created all the species of life in the world today, including humans.



“Every living thing, people from every single race, their dogs, cats, and flowers, came from the same exact place,” the owl asserts. “A young boy in Africa, the grass, bugs and bees, your teacher’s pet parrot who speaks Cantonese. We are all related.”



In addition to the dialogue between the owl and the girls, pro-evolution statements are interspersed throughout the book.



“Every animal, every single form of life, all share a common ancestor,” one page in the book says.



“If you go back far enough, people, like most mammals, evolved from fish,” another page claims.



A few well-known evolutionists, including Bill Nye and Lawrence Krauss, have praised “Annabelle & Aiden” for its potential to convince young readers of evolution’s validity. Last week the book was recognized on Amazon.com as the #1 best seller in the children’s prehistoric books category.



The book’s author, J.R. Becker, believes evolution is an “established fact” that should be taught to children from a young age.



“I simply see myself as doing absolutely nothing more than delivering facts to children,” Becker said in a recent interview with Patheos.com. “If there’s ‘controversy’ about that, well, I try to ignore that noise.”



As previously reported, evolutionists are increasingly targeting young children in their campaign to spread Darwinian mantra. Last year, an evolution-promoting author published a children’s book titled “Grandmother Fish” that tells preschoolers they are the byproducts of evolution and the descendants of fish.



“Yes, secularists know where the battle is in this culture: it’s for the hearts and minds of the next generation. Also speaking was Yasir Qadhi, who has taught that Muslims can seize the property of non-Muslims in jihad: “The life and property of a mushrik [one who worships others besides Allah] holds no value in the state of jihad….which means if they don’t say la illaha illa Allah, their lives and property are halal” — that is, permitted to be taken by the Muslims.



Dalia Mogahed was speaking as well. Obama’s former adviser on Muslim affairs once appeared on a British television show aired by the pro-Sharia group Hizb ut-Tahrir, where she said: “Sharia is not well understood and Islam as a faith is not well understood.” How have we misunderstood Islamic law? We have associated it with “maximum criminal punishments” and “laws that…to many people seem unequal to women.” The Western view of Sharia was “oversimplified,” she claimed: most Muslim women worldwide, she said, associate it with “gender justice.”



Another speaker was Tariq Ramadan. French journalist Caroline Fourest in Brother Tariq notes that Ramadan is “remaining scrupulously faithful to the strategy mapped out by his grandfather [Muslim Brotherhood founder Hasan al-Banna], a strategy of advance stage by stage” toward the imposition of Islamic law in the West. She explains that he invests words like “law” and “democracy” with subtle and carefully crafted new definitions, permitting him to engage in “an apparently inoffensive discourse while remaining faithful to an eminently Islamist message and without having to lie overtly — at least not in his eyes.”



And then there is the celebrated Khizr Khan. Intelius records that Khizr Khan has worked at Hogan Lovells Llp. According to the Washington Free Beacon, “Hogan Lovells LLP, another U.S. firm hired by the Saudis, is registered to work for the Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia through 2016, disclosures show. Robert Kyle, a lobbyist from the firm, has bundled $50,850 for Clinton’s campaign.” The Free Beacon added that the Saudi government has “supplied the Clinton Foundation with millions. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has given between $10 and $25 million to the foundation while Friends of Saudi Arabia has contributed between $1 and $5 million.”



Why is the DHS Secretary appearing among this rogue’s gallery? The answer is obvious: because he shares their agenda.



“The Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) was established in July 1981 by U.S-based members of the Muslim Brotherhood with a background as leaders of the Muslim Students Association (MSA). As author and terrorism expert Steven Emerson puts it, ISNA “grew out of the Muslim Students Association, which also was founded by Brotherhood members.” Indeed, Muslim Brothers would dominate ISNA’s leadership throughout the Society’s early years. Striving “to advance the cause of Islam and serve Muslims in North America so as to enable them to adopt Islam as a complete way of life,” ISNA was highly dependent upon Saudi funding during its early years.” — from Discover the Networks






In its latest filing before the federal district court in Dallas on behalf of the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) and its affiliate organization, the North American Islamic Trust (NAIT) in the Hamas-terrorism financing case, the ACLU has made a noteworthy admission.



Rather than deny that there is copious evidence tying ISNA and NAIT to Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood, the brief argues that such evidence is merely dated. In a curious footnote on page 7, the reply states:





Assuming the authenticity of documents’ dates, the most recent documents to mention either ISNA or NAIT are dated 1991, Gov. Exhs. 3-3 and 3-85, but the majority of the documents are older. Almost all of the numerous exhibits that purport to show financial transactions and that contain any mention of ISNA or NAIT are dated 1988 and 1989 (there are two dated 1990), almost a decade before the majority of the overt acts the government alleges in support of its conspiracy charges against the HLF defendants.





So ISNA and NAIT are not saying that the documents tying their organizations to Hamas are “inauthentic,” but that the problem with the evidence is just that it is old. Then, even more curiously, the reply goes on to argue something that the government has not even alleged:





Even if the “evidence” provided some basis for alleging criminality against petitioners, the government’s discussion of it shows the government utterly fails to grasp the singular weight and consequence that an official accusation of criminal conduct carries in our criminal justice system and in our society.





But, of course, the government has not charged ISNA or NAIT with criminal conduct, or the two groups would be indicted in their own right, rather than un-indicted co-conspirators who worked with the Holy Land for Relief and Development (HLF), the defendant and alleged Hamas-front. The reply brief then, as Shakespeare might write, “doth protest too much.”
