“We will not be intimidated and we do not negotiate with terrorists,” affirmed Wax. Well, that’s rare these days. Cowardice is pandemic today, masquerading as prudence, and no one would have been surprised if the New York Republican Club had caved to the pressure, as did Eventbrite.



But why is Eventbrite taking orders from Hamas-linked CAIR? If Eventbrite really wants to stand against hate, it would refuse to sell tickets for CAIR events, not Pamela Geller events. CAIR is an unindicted co-conspirator in a Hamas terror funding case — so named by the Justice Department. CAIR officials have repeatedly refused to denounce Hamas and Hizballah as terrorist groups. Several former CAIR officials have been convicted of various crimes related to jihad terror. CAIR’s cofounder and longtime Board chairman (Omar Ahmad), as well as its chief spokesman (Ibrahim Hooper), have made Islamic supremacist statements about how Islamic law should be imposed in the U.S. (Ahmad denies this, but the original reporter stands by her story.) CAIR chapters frequently distribute pamphlets telling Muslims not to cooperate with law enforcement. CAIR has opposed virtually every anti-terror measure that has been proposed or implemented and has been declared a terror organization by the United Arab Emirates. CAIR’s Hussam Ayloush in 2017 called for the overthrow of the U.S. government. CAIR’s national outreach manager is an open supporter of Hamas.



It’s evidence of how insane the public discourse has become that organizations such as Eventbrite think it’s “hate” to stand, as Pamela Geller so courageously does, against jihad violence and Sharia oppression of women and others. And so one more outlet that should be viewpoint-neutral jumps into lockstep with the Leftist initiative to shut down everyone who dares dissent to the slightest degree from the hard-Left agenda.

An event featuring conservative commentator Pamela Geller will proceed as scheduled, despite being blacklisted by the ticketing service Eventbrite over supposed violations of the platform’s “community guidelines.” The group had been using the platform as its main source for organizing ticketing for the event.



The New York Young Republican Club plans to proceed with hosting its event featuring Pamela Geller, despite backlash by the online ticketing service, Eventbrite, which warned the group that any further attempts to create an event listing featuring Geller could result in the group’s account being banned from the platform.



The event is scheduled for Thursday, August 15 at the Women’s National Republican Club in New York, New York.



“Eventbrite was the only ticketing option available for this event. We are now selling tickets directly on our website,” New York Young Republican Club president Gavin Wax told Breitbart News. “We believe CAIR put pressure on Eventbrite to get the event canceled on their platform.”



The club president elaborated by explaining that the group believes CAIR — the Council on American-Islamic Relations — has been “behind the entire manufactured outrage” over the event, in an effort to smear the group and its event speaker.



“It’s very sad that Eventbrite would cave to an organization of such ill repute as CAIR,” said Wax. “They are an organization with strong ties to Hamas, Hezbollah, and other terrorist groups, with CAIR themselves being labeled as a terrorist organization by the United Arab Emirates. They are an unindicted co-conspirator in the Holyland case.”



“Their tactics to shut down speech they don’t like is thuggish and anti-American at its core,” added the club president. “In the last week or so we have been inundated with hate mail and threats, many of which had strong anti-Semitic overtones as half of our Executive Board is Jewish.”

The state of California has introduced “blatantly anti-Semitic and anti-Israel” lessons into its official high school curriculum, drawing outrage and concern in the state’s Jewish and pro-Israel communities, according to multiple sources involved in the controversy.



The California Department of Education is facing backlash after permitting a host of anti-Israel activists to build a statewide educational curriculum that demonizes the Jewish state and is said to be fostering hatred of Jewish and Israeli-American students, sources said.



Already, 83 pro-Israel and anti-discrimination organizations have petitioned the state’s education department to reform its Ethnic Studies Model Curriculum (ESMC) to remove multiple instances of what they say is anti-Semitic and anti-Israel bias.



Multiple sources involved in the fight have described to the Washington Free Beacon anti-Semitic courses that they say are fostering an unsafe environment for Jewish and Israeli-American students. Further information obtained by the Free Beacon reveals that several of the educators involved in pushing the new curriculum have a history of anti-Israel activism that has often spilled into anti-Semitic territory….



The curriculum, the organizations claim, is the result of an effort by several leading educators who have expressed both anti-Israel and anti-Semitic viewpoints….



Shoham Nicolet, head of the Israel American Council, an organization working to oppose the curriculum and expose those behind it, told the Free Beacon that California’s small, tightknit Israeli-American community is concerned that this curriculum will foster anti-Semitism in the state’s schools.



“As immigrants of this country, we’re looking at a curriculum that will discriminate based on ethnic backgrounds,” Nicolet said.



After researching the educators behind the new curriculum, Nicolet said he was “surprised to find out that you have people who are … supporters of BDS publicly.”



The global BDS movement has been described not just by pro-Israel leaders but also by many members of Congress as an anti-Semitic movement that seeks to wage economic warfare on Israel and Jewish citizens.



“It’s odd that a professional committee that’s supposed to have an impact on the education of millions of kids in California in public school and is funded by taxpayers is so biased,” Nicolet said. “How come the BDS movement is part of what is supposed to be allowed in classrooms in California?”



Public research materials viewed by the Free Beacon reveal that several committee members behind California Department of Education’s Draft Ethnic Studies Model Curriculum are outspoken critics of Israel.



One member, Samia Shoman, is a Palestinian-American who teaches in the San Mateo Union High District. Her lesson plans on Palestinian history have been featured as a teaching tool by the Qatar Foundation International, a group tied to the nation and its efforts to proliferate boycotts of Israel. Shoman is also a pro-Palestinian activist on Twitter.



Another committee member, Gaye Theresa Johnson, an associate professor at UCLA college of social sciences, also has supported pro-Palestinian causes on Twitter, including retweets from pro-Iran individuals who have deemed Tehran as the victim in the ongoing nuclear standoff with the United States.



A third committee member, Theresa Montaño, a professor at California State University, Northridge, has publicly supported the BDS movement and advocates for Israeli scholars to be boycotted in the United States. Montaño also signed a 2009 letter to then-president Barack Obama that was organized by one of the globe’s most prominent BDS organizations….

The brutal persecution of young Christian girls in Pakistan is ongoing, and largely ignored by “feminists” and fake human rights activists, who call it “Islamophobic” to shed light on such atrocities:

To draw attention to the issue, the papal foundation ACN is hosting a press conference in Karachi next Thursday, which will see the attendance of Cardinal Joseph Coutts and several Muslim leaders.



The phenomenon of forced conversions hits Pakistan’s religious minorities, especially Christians and Hindus.



Better legal protection



In just one case, last month, a 14-year-old Christian girl was abducted in Lahore and forced to marry her kidnapper. Police later informed her parents that a conversion certificate had been registered for her.



Though current Pakistani law sets the legal marriage age at 16 for girls, ACN is pushing for it to be changed to 18.



The Catholic charity is also advocating for better legal protections against kidnappings and forced conversions for religious minorities. Families of victims often face an uphill battle in court when taking on perpetrators of forced conversions.



Media attention



The press conference on Thursday falls close to the national Minorities Day, which was held on August 11.



Ms. Yousaf, the Catholic lawyer, says the West and the international media “can do much to safeguard religious minorities in Pakistan.”…..

Since the mass shootings at El Paso and Dayton, Ivanka Trump has been making calls to lawmakers to get a feel for different gun-control measures and determine how to get them passed, sources familiar with the discussions said.



The calls allegedly included talks last Wednesday with Senator Joe Manchin (D-W.V.), who is preparing to reintroduce a universal background checks bill he and Senator Pat Toomey (R-Pa.) sponsored after the 2013 Sandy Hook shooting.



“She had him explain how they drafted the bill, where it stands and what changes needed to be made in order for it to pass,” the source said of Ms. Trump’s conversation.



If passed, the legislation would expand background checks to nearly all commercial firearms sales.



President Trump himself spoke with Manchin multiple times last week, saying he wanted gun legislation before the Senate returns from its recess in September.



Ivanka Trump, who holds the title of advisor to the president, reacted to the back-to-back shootings with a call on Congress to “enact Red Flag laws/Extreme Risk Protection Orders in every state, increase resources dedicated to mental health support nationwide and close background check loopholes.”







The president’s daughter doubled down on her call for red flag laws on Twitter:




Red flag laws are laws that allow police, family members, or friends to petition a state court to order the removal of firearms from a person believed to present a danger to himself or others.



Critics of red flag laws argue that they can be abused by politically motivated individuals who want to disarm responsible gun owners.



President Trump has come out in support of red flag laws and universal background checks, telling reporters last week that there is “great appetite for background checks.”



Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, meanwhile, has signaled that red flag laws will be debated when the Senate reconvenes. He also said the Manchin-Toomey background checks bill will “lead the discussion.”



Ivanka Trump has been an important figure in moving gun control forward, insiders say. A White House official claimed the president’s daughter “has trusted relationships on both sides of the aisle and she is working in concert with the White House policy and legislative teams.”



The younger Trump has notably advocated for positions that contradict key tenets of her father’s agenda. She and husband Jared Kushner worked within the White House to keep the United States in the Paris Climate Agreement, which President Trump ultimately pulled out of.



President Trump signed an executive order halting the separation of illegal-alien families at border detention facilities (an action that has resulted in more migrants being released into the country), citing as a factor his daughter’s strong feelings on the issue.

The obvious answer is that she’s been there for a very long time.



Lefties love to claim that they’re the movement that believes in science. But the Third Law of Thermodynamics isn’t something you believe in. Fermat’s Principle doesn’t give your life meaning.



Marianne teaching you spiritual lessons about weight loss on an episode of Oprah does.



Hillary Clinton held a séance in the White House. The seance overseen by Jean Houston, the author of The Hero and the Goddess: The Odyssey as Pathway to Personal Transformation, encouraged Hillary to contact Eleanor Roosevelt. Hillary and Houston hit it off after the Clintons invited self-help book authors to Camp David to help them cope with their defeat. The authors included Marianne Williamson.



Marianne Williamson had reportedly participated in some of Hillary’s White House seances.



Esquire claimed that Hillary Clinton had met her at a fundraiser where the New Age guru made such an impression that she was invited to stay in the Lincoln Bedroom.



Where did Marianne Williamson come from? The White House and the Democrat Party.



Unlike Andrew Yang, Williamson isn’t a fringe character who somehow made it into the debate stage. When she ran for Congress, her backers included Dennis Kucinich, who told supporters, "You are the ones who are calling forward a reality by the name of Marianne Williamson", and Jennifer Granholm, the former Governor of Michigan, who headed a key Hillary SuperPAC.



Williamson is a crackpot, but her crackpottery fills the broken china closets of the Democrats. She got this far because the upper echelons of the Dems don’t believe in God, but do believe in crazy.



When Hillary Clinton wasn’t trying to commune with Eleanor and Gandhi, she appeared to share the obsession of John Podesta, her campaign chair, with UFOs. There was bafflement when former Senator Majority Leader Harry Reid was caught earmarking $22 million to study UFOs. Earlier this year, Reid claimed that there was a UFO race between Russia’s KGB (which no longer exists), China and America.



$10 million went to a Dem donor interested in UFOs who had written Harry $10,000 worth of checks.



The UFO research quickly took a dive into the paranormal, which, according to a senior manager included studying, "bizarre creatures, poltergeist activity, invisible entities." The reports were subcontracted to a research team led by a psychic espionage researcher.



Compare that to President Trump being briefed on UFOs and dismissing them.



Remind me again which party “believes” in science?



Democrats were twice as likely as Republicans to think that astrology is "very scientific". And the Democrats split equally down on the middle on whether astrology was or wasn't scientific.



Liberals were more likely to believe in astrology than conservatives. 43% of liberals believed that astrology was scientific, while only 26% of conservatives did. Only 48.6% of Democrats, compared to 62% of Republicans, were able to correctly answer that the earth revolves around the sun.



58% of Democrats compared to 37% of Republicans believe in UFOs. 35% of Democrats and 27% of Republicans believe they experienced the paranormal. 69% of Democrats, compared to 49% of Republicans, believe in ghosts.



That’s why Marianne Williamson is up there on the debate stage. The only surprise is that it took this long for an unabashed representative of what the Democrats really believe to finally show up.



At the 2020 debates, the Democrats are letting their leftist freak flag fly. They’re coming out of the closet about their support for taking away everyone’s health insurance, dismantling the border and freeing criminals. Why shouldn’t they come out of the closet about their New Age beliefs?



70% of Republicans believe in the God of the bible. Only 45% of Democrats do. 39% believe in some other power or spiritual force. 14% don't believe in any kind of higher power.



47% of white Democrats say that religion isn't really important in their lives. What do they believe in?



Spirituality. Auras. Energy forces. Karma. Battling dark psychic forces. Being attuned to the universe. They believe in, among other things, the founder of the Church of Today who lived in a commune, worked as a cabaret singer, ran a New Age bookstore, and became a fave of Oprah and Hillary Clinton.



"One sometimes gets the impression that the mere words 'Socialism' and 'Communism' draw towards them with magnetic force every fruit-juice drinker, nudist, sandal-wearer, sex-maniac, Quaker, 'Nature Cure' quack, pacifist, and feminist in England," George Orwell wrote.



But do lefty politics draw in nuts and kooks for no apparent reason. Or is the insanity baked inside?



Are Marianne Wiilliamson’s crazy rants about dark psychic forces and force fields  unrelated to her politics, or is the socialist conviction that the world needs careful management by the enlightened to cure us of our human nature exactly the sort of political philosophy that attracts quacks and kooks?



Behind the façade of reason, the light side of the Left, with its plans for a totalitarian utopia of resource management, speech policing, constant reeducation, and disposition of the unworthy, is a dark side of festering demons, spirits, ghosts, sorcerous powers, and invisible visitors from other realms. The light side claims that its ideas are the product of science, experts and modern thought, but the dark side is throbbing with magical thinking, hysterical outbursts, senseless cruelty, and cults of personality.



People don’t believe in what speaks to their conscious, but their unconscious.



The Left likes to claim that its plans come out of the light side, but history shows they originate in the dark. That’s why all the scientific plans never work out the way that they are meant to. The revolutions devolve into blood rituals. The economic plans fall into corruption and chaos. And when it’s done, masses of brutalized people wander in the shadows and wonder how all this could have happened.



The answer is that leftist politics only pretend to come from the conscious mind, but actually originate in the resentments, fantasies and terrors of the unconscious mind. Leftism isn’t reasoned, it’s rationalized.



Its politics are the wishes and the vendettas of the subconscious filtered through pseudoscience.



Marianne Williamson is unremarkable. After Trump’s election, tens of thousands of women like her swarmed the streets wearing pink hats to shriek at the sky and repel the dark psychic forces. This caucus of crazy white women, who underlie the leftist activist base, are spiritual rather than religious. They believe that they have special insight and are much too smart for organized religion. They are convinced that women are more spiritually attuned than men, that progressives are more sensitive than everyone else, and that they project spiritual forces through their activism that will change the country.



They believe in everything, ghosts, auras, energy forces, UFOs, and even angels, but no God.



That would be blasphemous because what they believe in, above all else, is themselves.



Marianne Williamson, like Obama and Oprah, speak to their inner specialness, to their egos and their conviction that they were put on earth to change the world and feel good about themselves. They assure them that all their inner conflicts can be resolved by directing their energy into politics and that they will be assured of immortality if their political activism puts them on the right side of history.



They are their own goddesses, their religion is narcissism, and the church is leftist politics.



Hillary Clinton, despite being one of them, never actually managed to speak to them. That’s one of the reasons why she lost. Even aside from Marianne Williamson, the 2020 field is full of Democrats trying out the rising cadences and long pauses of fake spirituality and impassioned vagueness. They use the borrowed poetry of religion to convey faith, but the only thing they believe in is themselves.



Williamson will lose this race. Just as she lost the race to represent Beverly Hills in Congress. But eventually the unofficial religion of the Democrat Party will get a guru as President of the United States.

Two Democratic presidential candidates, Bernie Sanders and Julian Castro, have agreed to speak before the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA). The candidates will address the forum during its convention in Houston on August 31, 2019.



The ISNA is listed by the United States Justice department as an entity of the Muslim Brotherhood which is a terrorist organization linked to several Islamist and Jihadist global political movements. These movements have as their goal the establishment of a global caliphate. This means that their goals are to subject all human beings to Sharia law. In fact, the president of ISNA was quoted in a 2006 film as saying that the organization’s mission was to change the Constitution of America. The organization has as its goals, by means of a jihad campaign, the destruction of western civilization from within.



There are several reasonable people who believe that both Sanders and Castro are either ignorant of the ISNA’s real goal, or are simply trying to turn a blind eye to an organization’s radical agenda with the hopes that they can modify the nihilistic and jihadist agenda of the movement.



Nothing could be further from the truth. I submit that both Castro and Sanders, given their virulent demonstrations of Americaphobia are directly complicit with the goals of ISNA. They are joining forces with an enemy organization to delegitimize our great republic under the current form of its constitutional configuration. Before analyzing the real motives behind these America-hating politicians, let us briefly examine their stated political visions for America.



Bernie Sanders is an avowed democratic socialist. He intends to transform our system of free market enterprise that has lifted millions out of poverty and raised the standard of living for all persons. What does he intend to transform our socio-economic American civilization into? A totalitarian, expropriative government of theft by legalization. Socialism advocates vesting ownership and control of the means of production, capital and land in the community as a whole. Socialism is not a morally neutral system. Any system of governance presupposes an answer to the questions: Are you a sovereign entity who owns your life, work and mind? Is your mind something that can be nationalized and its material contents distributed by the state? Socialists think the answer is yes. They believe the products of one’s efforts belong to the community; that the state and society have a moral and financial responsibility to care for other people’s children; that is, the procreative choices made by those who are strangers to us, and that the most successful and productive people should be the most penalized.



This is the socio-economic caliphate Sanders wants established not just in America, but throughout the world. Like ISNA he wants to radically challenge our constitution and change the political DNA of our great republic.



Julian Castro is such a political and social ballast that it might not even be worth mentioning his totalitarian agenda for America were it not for the fact that such an agenda is becoming normalized. He wants to establish free healthcare for all illegal immigrants, thereby skirting the laws of the land by appropriating tax dollars for those whose illegals activities would be normalized and legitimized via a governmental fiat of hand whose conferral of a benefit that, even if justified, could only be granted to US citizens. He wants to supersede the rule of law with a dastardly vision of open borders. Castro also wants to eviscerate from all governmental legal codes, the term, “illegal immigrant,” thus blurring the distinction between those who are here legally, and those who are not.



Now we begin to see why such candidates are eager to speak before a unit of the terrorist organization known as the Muslim Brotherhood. All parties are united in their goals of normalizing and mainstreaming that which is not just radical, but inimical to the national security interests of America. All are purveyors of normalizing national security threats to the United States of America; all are interested in making sure that as philosopher Ayn Rand pointed out: The uncontested absurdities of today are the accepted slogans of tomorrow. They come to be accepted by degrees, by dint of constant pressure on one side and constant retreat on the other—until one day when they are suddenly declared declare to be the country’s ideology.



Do Sanders and Castro want an Islamic global caliphate ruling western civilization? If such were the means of establishing their radical totalitarian and anti-America vision for the world—perhaps. I’m not sure. What I am sure of is that in agreeing to speak before such a Jihadist organization they intend to mainstream the radical manifestations of a movement’s philosophy, and to establish it as a common canard among the voices of US citizens. When the sensibilities of all rational persons have been neutralized and dulled into submission, the introduction of the radicals’ own agendas will pass into the mainstream uncontested.



Sanders and Castro, and other politicians such as Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib will undermine our republic by making unholy alliances with forces that have as their goals the radical transformation of the socio-economic culture of the United States and western civilization. Another goal they share is the re-socialization of the moral and political sensibilities of those Americans who are highly persuadable; persuadable that is, into becoming enemies of the republic. These socio-economic Jihadists might not be religious Jihadists; however, they are fighting to the death for the method by which the Islamist Jihadists have and are using to win their battle of destruction over the West. First, by neutralizing the moral ammunition defenders of America and the West have at their disposal by positing such ammunition as detrimental and destructive of the of the agency of a group of individuals showcased as permanent victims of the “nefarious and imperialistic West.” This moral ammunition consists in, among other things, our Constitution, our Bill of Rights, our celebrated and successful form of capitalism, religious freedom, freedom of conscience, freedom of association—in total, the complete abolition of individual and property rights.



Second, they along with other haters of America are part of a coterie of individuals who are socio-cultural Jihadists operating with impunity right here in our own republic. Their association with ISNA is not accidental or innocent. It is an attempt to bleed to death by thousands of tiny scratches this country of its moral vocabularies of defense and resistance by the normalization and the mainstreaming of goals whose implementation would see the annihilation of America as we know it. Sanders, Castro and sundry politicians may not explicitly desire an America ruled by Sharia law. But they are willing to bed down with those movements and individuals that do, and they are all too ready to defang this country of its bedrock principles. This then allows such political actors to usher into existence a new America: a collectivist America; a totalitarian America; an America whose cultural identity will be destroyed and replaced by a non-vision—if nihilism and wanton destruction for the sake of destruction can be referred to as visions. This, however, is how all social-engineering movements that operate by stealth and subterfuge win their battles, promulgate their ideas and execute their policies. 



Let us all unmask the Faustian bargains such politicians like Castro and Sanders and others are making with our avowed enemies. No, unlike the Jihadists they will not murder us in cold blood. They will simply sell us cultural suicide as a moral virtue. Their clarion call: Sacrifice who and what we are in the name of some futuristic horror that one day will, somehow, after we are dead, be for the good of our children.



We The Living must choose life, and we must choose those values that are conducive to life itself: our Constitution and Bill of Rights, and our glorious American sense of life that has inspired millions of Americans and those around the world to aim for an aspirational identity forged in the crucibles of only what a constitutional republic can achieve: freedom; the exercise of our moral conscience and judgments; and the inviolable right to cull life plans for ourselves unobstructed by a totalitarian political institution that would sell its Death Cult as a moral vision.

Billionaire sex pervert Jeffrey Epstein might be dead, but the case prosecutors were building against the Deep State insider will likely now move on to his helpers.



Yesterday, the FBI and local police raided the deceased financier’s home on Little St. James, an island in the U.S. Virgin Islands. As well, unnamed conspirators whom prosecutors allege helped Epstein have been warned that they will face justice. And last week, new details about Epstein’s major sex-trafficking operation emerged with documents in an Epstein-related case.



Federal prosecutors will now turn their attention to the employees and associates who helped him, tops among them Ghislaine Maxwell, the British socialite who has, apparently, gone on the lam.



Raid on Home
The raid involved FBI agents, along with U.S. Customs and local law enforcement, who “fanned out in golf carts across Epstein’s estate on Little St. James Island,” the Miami Herald reported.







The Herald reported that Epstein purchased the isle for $7.95 million in 1998 and built a “24,000-square-foot private home, swimming pools, cabanas and other structures on a 70-acre swath of oceanfront land studded with palm trees.”



Whatever evidence they gathered won’t harm Epstein, whom authorities found hanged in his cell on Saturday. Guards didn’t bother check on Epstein, who was briefly on a suicide watch after a supposed previous attempt, for hours, the Washington Post disclosed.



Epstein faced a federal sex-trafficking indictment that alleged he procured girls as young as 14 for sexual trysts, and that employees and associates helped him procure the girls, who then often became procurers as well.



Epstein skated on similar sex charges in 2008 when then-federal prosecutor Alexander Acosta, who became President Trump’s labor secretary, cut a deal that permitted Epstein to plead guilty to lesser state charges. Investigative reporter Vicky Ward divulged in the Daily Beast that Acosta cut the deal because Epstein, a member of the Trilateral Commission and Council on Foreign Relations, was connected to “intelligence.”



Documents
That’s where last week’s document release come in.



The documents paint a “a chilling picture” of “hundreds of girls and young women” that Epstein, Maxwell, and their cabal of helpers “trafficked for sex to a number of wealthy business, political and world leaders,” the Herald reported last week.



The documents come from a defamation lawsuit that Epstein victim Virginia Giuffre filed against Maxwell in 2015 and settled in 2017. Giuffre said Maxwell recruited her to be Epstein’s masseuse when she worked at Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort.



The documents contain the names of highly influential men, including former Maine Senator George Mitchell, super lawyer Alan Dershowitz, and Britain’s Prince Andrew. All those named deny any participation in such deeds. 



Epstein, Giuffre alleged, wanted compromising sexual information on the men. Reported the Herald,



While there’s no direct evidence contained in the court record substantiating her accounts with prominent men, Giuffre did provide testimony and evidence to corroborate her claims of exploitation at the hands of Epstein and Maxwell through photographs, plane logs, and even a medical record from Presbyterian Hospital in New York where Giuffre was taken by Epstein after a particularly abusive sex episode.



A boyfriend she told about the abuse and another a college student Maxwell procured verified Giuffre’s account. The student said Epstein demanded three girls a day.



Documents also detail the story of a 15-year-old Swedish girl, the Herald reported, who was “shaking and crying in fear” when she “told a butler who worked for two of Epstein’s closest friends ... that Epstein and Maxwell had physically threatened to harm her and seized her passport to keep her on the island, according to the butler’s statement.”



Even as Palm Beach cops were investigating Epstein in 2006, the Herald reported, Maxwell was still helping operate “a pyramid-like scheme the pair operated to lure young girls from around Palm Beach County, focusing on schools, colleges and spas.”



Maxwell refused to testify against Epstein and called Giuffre a liar.



Democrat power lawyer David Boies, Giuffre’s attorney, told the Herald that she sued Maxwell “to chronicle, in testimony and evidence, the scope of Epstein’s and Maxwell’s sex trafficking operation” because the courts, prosecutors, and even the media had “failed” the girls.



Apropos of Epstein’s plea deal in 2008, Vanity Fair reported that the Bush administration permitted it, possibly, to protect Prince Andrew, who posed for a picture with Giuffre that appeared in the Herald. Also in that photo is Maxwell.



“The royal family did everything they could to try and discredit the Prince Andrew stuff,” Boies told Vanity Fair. “When we tried to follow up with anything, we were stonewalled. We wanted to interview him, they were unwilling to do anything.”



Such were Epstein’s and Maxwell’s perversions they actually expected Giuffre to bear a child for them, she told the Herald.



Speaking at the national convention of the Fraternal Order of Police, U.S. Attorney General William Barr warned Epstein’s helpers that justice was coming: “Any co-conspirators should not rest easy. The victims deserve justice, and they will get it.”

As the hysterical cries continue, demanding that government “do something” about gun violence, more thoughtful advisors and commentators are digging more deeply into the dangers of “doing something.” Especially concerning is the rush to implement major infringements of gun rights, with many politicians using the flawed argument that “If even one life is saved, infringements on the rights of many are justified.”



This is the siren song of tyranny.



Former Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke said everyone should take a deep breath and step back from the ledge: “I like to remind people that we should never make sweeping policy changes in a state of hysteria. A wiser course of action would be for elected officials to talk people in off the ledge so we can have a reasonable conversation about the horrific incident after things settle down. Emotion-based policy always turns out to be a lousy policy loaded with unintended consequences.”



One especially grievous black mark in America’s recent history is the rush to judgment about Japanese Americans in the months after Pearl Harbor. President Franklin Roosevelt issued an executive order forcibly removing more than 110,000 of them from their homes and into “internment” (read: concentration) camps. They were guilty of nothing more than being Japanese. As Colonel Karl Bendetsen (the architect of the program) put it, anyone with “one drop of Japanese blood” would be taken from their homes by force and placed in concentration camps.







The Supreme Court never ruled on the constitutionality of the incarceration of these American citizens, although their Fourth Amendment rights were clearly violated. Modest financial reparations were belatedly made by the federal government to those survivors in 1988, along with an apology.



Tony Lovasco (R-Mo.) exposed the danger of thinking that red flag laws could never apply to law-abiding citizens. After all, most people would never dream of shooting up a Walmart store. Wrote Lovasco, “Proponents of gun control (and make no mistake, red flag laws are gun control) want you to think, ‘I’m not like them. This isn’t about me.’ But you are like them, and it is about you. It’s about everyone.”



Every American citizen, gun owner or not, has unalienable rights, wrote Lovasco: “The right to face your accuser. The right to due process. The right to protection against unreasonable searches and seizures. Every one of these rights is explicitly violated under red flag laws.”



Added Lovasco:



Such laws often allow a judge to issue an order of confiscation “ex parte”, meaning without you [being] present. Because it’s a civil process, you aren’t entitled to a public defender, or even afforded the opportunity to defend yourself.



Once a protective order is issued, law enforcement [officers] are dispatched to search your property and seize your weapons – without criminal charges ever being filed, or even probable cause that an actual crime has been committed.



To make matters worse, Red Flag hearings can be adjudicated based on uncorroborated claims made by a single individual. Perhaps it’s an angry spouse, jealous co-worker, or disgruntled neighbor. All it takes is for someone to make a convincing argument that you are a danger to yourself or others, and your property is taken from you and you lose your right to defend yourself.



Representative Thomas Massie (R-Ky.) joined with John Lott, president of the Crime Prevention Research Center, to expose Colorado’s recently enacted red flag law. Under that law, “anyone at all can make a phone call to the police. They don’t even have to be living in the state. There is no hearing. All the judge has before him is the statement of concern.”



Red flag laws have nothing to do with mental health. Only one of the 17 states now imposing red flag laws on their citizens even uses the term. Wrote Massie and Lott: “It’s about figuring out who is going to commit a crime (or suicide). This is the realm of science fiction.”



It’s also the theme of Steven Spielberg’s 2002 film Minority Report wherein three “precogs” predict the future criminal behaviors of suspects. As viewers will remember, it did not end well.



The Fourth Amendment requirement demanding “probable cause” has been almost completely ignored. As Massie and Lott noted, “Little certainty is needed. Initial confiscations often require just a ‘reasonable suspicion’ which is little more than a guess or a hunch.” In addition, red flag laws typically make no provisions to cover the legal costs incurred by the victim (not suspect) and so many charged will not be able to have an attorney assist them.



Finally, wrote Massie and Lott, “It has always been possible to take away someone’s guns but all 50 states have required testimony by a mental-health expert before a judge. Under red flag laws, however, expert testimony will no longer be used.” In addition, “Gun-control advocates argue that it’s essential not even to alert the person that his guns may be taken away. Hence, the 5 A.M. police raids.”



Red flag laws don’t work. That’s the conclusion Lott came to in a study he and a professor at the College of William and Mary published last December. After reviewing data from 1970 through 2017, they concluded that “Red flag laws had no significant effect on murder, suicide, the number of people killed in mass public shootings, robbery, aggravated assault, or burglary.… These laws apparently do not save lives.”



Perhaps most impressive are the questions raised and insights offered by Alan Dershowitz, retired Harvard professor and no friend of either the Second Amendment or President Trump. But he has not let either personal opinion sway his view of the Constitution’s protection of precious God-given rights. Although he voted against Trump in 2016, he defended the president in his book The Case Against Impeaching Trump. He also argued against the Democrats’ investigations into the president, including the Special Counsel investigation by Robert Mueller.



Dershowitz asked, “How many law-abiding people are we prepared to deprive of guns to prevent even one mass shooting?” He asked, “Can the government deprive a citizen of a constitutional right based on a prediction?” He asked, “If the government can take your guns based on a prediction today, what will stop it from taking your liberty based on a prediction tomorrow?”



These are not “far-fetched” concerns. He noted that the federal government, under a presidential executive order, “detained more than 100,000 Japanese-Americans during World War II based on wildly exaggerated predictions of sabotage.”



Therefore, wrote Dershowitz, “We should be careful about denying individual rights based on questionable predictions.… When government starts taking away some rights in the interest of safety, all rights are at risk.”



Once a red flag law is put in place, it is permanent. As Thomas Jefferson said, “It is in the natural course of events that liberty recedes and government grows.” It is far better to rein in government beforehand than to try to retreive precious rights afterwards.

CNN talker Chris Cuomo acted every bit the goombah from Mulberry Street on Sunday when he threatened a man who called him “Fredo,” the name of Michael Corleone’s older, worthless brother in the Godfather films.



In a profanity-laced tirade, Cuomo told the man that calling an Italian “Fredo” was like calling a black person the “n-word,” and threatened physical violence.



Cuomo, a ham-fisted leftist who spends a lot of time at the gym, didn’t exactly say he’d whack the offender or give him a Moe Greene Special, but he did threaten to work him over if he didn’t shut up.



CNN, Cuomo’s employer, thought the Gotti-like explosion was just fine because Cuomo, it averred, was hit with an “ethnic slur.”



That isn’t true, and Cuomo was more likely upset at the real implication of being called “Fredo.”



Down the Steps You’ll Go
Video evidence of the F-bomb-laced reaction went viral last night after it showed up on the Twitter feed and YouTube channel of “That’s The Point with Brandon.” 



After the fellow called Cuomo “Fredo,” the television host lost his cool. He was, as Michael Corleone might say, “hysterical.”



“I thought that’s who you were,” the man said, as Cuomo explained who Fredo is. “Punk-a** b***ches from the right call me ‘Fredo.’ My name is Chris Cuomo. I’m an anchor on CNN.”







Fredo, Cuomo said, is “like the n-word for us. Is that a cool f****ing thing?”



“You’re a much more reasonable guy in person than you seem to be on television,” the man said.



The exchange escalated as Cuomo became more irate. “You’re gonna have a problem” the CNN host said.



“What are you gonna do about it?” the man asked.



“I’ll f***ing ruin your s**t,” Cuomo told him. “I’ll f***ing throw you down these stairs like a f***ing punk.”



Cuomo also challenged the man to swing at him and call him Fredo again.



Not a Slur
Not surprisingly, leftist CNN backed its host because he “defended himself when he was verbally attacked with the use of an ethnic slur in an orchestrated setup. We completely support him.”



After that, video of CNN’s leftist Ana Navarro-Cárdenas calling Donald Trump Jr. that same thing surfaced, undoubtedly to the chagrin of Cuomo and CNN because she uttered them on Cuomo’s own program, Prime Time.



The Washington Post helpfully provided the perpetually angry Navarro-Cárdenas’ full remark.



[Trump Jr.’s] only call to fame was being his daddy’s son.... He didn’t even make the cut that his brother-in-law and sister did to be part of the Oval Office and the White House staff. Daddy kept Fredo back home.



As the Post noted, “Cuomo did not push back.”



Unsurprisingly, Trump fils tweeted this question: “Does CNN’s head of PR still think ‘Fredo’ is an ethnic slur after watching this? Because if it’s the N word for Italians like @ChrisCuomo says, I don’t understand why Chris seems so at ease with someone saying it here.”



Trump Jr. also explained what Fredo really means when used as an insult: “Hey @ChrisCuomo, take it from me, ‘Fredo’ isn’t the N word for Italians, it just means you’re the dumb brother.”




As someone born in Rome, whose given name at his baptism in St. Peter’s was Marcantonio, who had a relative in the mob, & who loves Roman history as much as The Godfather and Goodfellas, I would like to submit my credentials as an Italian-American.



“Fredo” ≠ N-word. Not at all.



Others agreed, the Post reported.



All of which points to Cuomo’s real problem: what being called Fredo signifies.



Michael, Fredo’s brother in the film, called Fredo “weak and stupid,” and Don Vito Corleone passed Fredo over in favor of Michael as the successor to run the family’s crime empire. Fredo was also a traitor who cooperated with a rival Mafia family to bring down Michael.



In other words, Cuomo wasn’t upset about any “ethnic” insult, but instead about the implication that he was, like Fredo, the stupid, weaker brother of Andrew, the governor of New York.



“The truth hurts,” as President Trump tweeted.



“Vote for Cuomo, Not the Homo”
As slurs go, the Cuomos have experience.



Some political observers believe that Andrew was the culprit behind his father’s now-famous campaign slogan in the Democrat mayoral primary against Ed Koch in 1977. Koch won, but not before Andrew, it was said, unleashed his “Vote for Cuomo, Not The Homo” poster campaign.



The Cuomos denied they did it and claimed it was the work of someone who wanted to Cuomo to lose.

Anti-Israel activist Rasha Mubarak has been moving quickly up the ranks within the Democratic Party. In the past four months, she has been: named to the Board of Directors of the Florida Young Democrats (FYD), elected FYD National Committeewoman, and given the award for ‘Florida Young Democrat of the Year.’ Now, she has been appointed by the Mayor of Orlando to his new Committee on Multicultural Affairs. However, a recent FrontPage Magazine article by this author exposing Mubarak’s radical behavior against Jews may have, at least temporarily, hindered her momentum, as according to Mubarak, she was forced to do “damage control.”



Rasha Ahmad Mubarak has one main goal in life and that is to destroy Israel. To do this: she joins Hamas-linked groups, such as CAIR and Islamic Relief; she leads hate-filled, anti-Israel rallies; and she attaches herself to the Democratic Party, painting herself as a Progressive, while using the Party to attack the Jewish state. Indeed, Mubarak was just a speaker at the 2019 national convention of the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA), where provocative issues, such as open borders and the Green New Deal, were being adopted and where, in front of the audience, Mubarak branded Israel’s government “repressive” and “anti-Democratic.”



In December 2017, Mubarak organized the ‘HANDS OFF JERUSALEM RALLY FOR PALESTINE,’ co-sponsored by CAIR, the Young Democrats of Orange County (YDOC), which Mubarak was President of at the time, and the Seminole County Young Democrats (SCYD). A video from the rally caught Mubarak’s uncle, Orlando real estate investor Said Lutfi, referring to Jews as “the crappiest piece of s**t on this planet,” “baby killers” and “Jesus killers.” In September 2018, Mubarak did a live streamed video with then-FYD President Jake Sanders to discuss BDS, the bigoted movement to boycott Israel.



Mubarak’s rhetoric towards Jews is no less troubling. This past May, when Hamas launched more than 600 rockets into Israel, leading to the deaths of four civilians, Mubarak tweeted against anyone who would dare defend Israeli retaliation. In November 2012, she wrote on Twitter, “#LiesImTiredOfHearing Israel has the right to defend herself.” And at the end of the 2014 Israel-Gaza Conflict, along with photos of a jubilant Hamas, who had, bizarrely, just declared victory, Mubarak tweeted, “Thousands of people celebrating in the streets of Gaza for the victory. Alhamdulillah. #VictoryForGaza.”



In November 2014, Mubarak was a featured speaker at the Al-Awda 12th annual convention, held in Fort Lauderdale. Al-Awda, the Palestine Right to Return Coalition, is a US-based activist group, which opposes Israel’s right to exist. Participating, along with Mubarak, were then-Chair of Al-Awda, Anas Amireh, who advocates Palestinians use cars as weapons and refers to Israel as the “Zionist enemy,” and then-Vice Chair of Al-Awda, Abbas Hamideh, who told Jews, in October 2015, “Rest assured Zionism will be eradicated and if you’re lucky you’ll be sent back to Europe where you belong...” Hamideh says peace with Israel only means “surrender.”



Much of the above was reported by this author, last month, in a FrontPage Magazine piece, titled, ‘ISLAMIST JEW-HATER NAMED FLORIDA YOUNG DEMOCRAT OF THE YEAR.’ It seems the information had a negative effect on Mubarak, as she wrote on social media, two days later, that she missed an important photo op, because she had to do “damage control” regarding what appears to be the article.



The photo op was a group photo for a new committee set up by Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer, Mayor Dyer’s Committee on Multicultural Affairs, which Mubarak and 16 others had been appointed to. Mubarak stated, “I missed the group photo – as I was dealing with damage control re: right wing racist and Islamophobic attacks.”



According to the City of Orlando official website, “This appointed committee is comprised of 17 community leaders that represent diversity in race, gender, age, religious beliefs, national origin, cultural background, profession, sexual orientation and gender identity.” Following the Chair, Vice Chair and Secretary, Mubarak is the fourth name on the website’s list of committee members. Surely, this was a significant honor for a fringe character like Mubarak. As for Mayor Dyer, he has no qualms about associating with radical Muslims.



Two years after Dyer became Mayor in 2003, he issued a letter of support for a May 2005 fundraising banquet CAIR was holding in Orlando, writing, “I… applaud your organization’s mission of enhancing communication among communities and offering a voice for Muslims in the United States.” The group was looking to raise money for the opening of an Orlando CAIR office and chapter. Years later, in September 2015, Mubarak would become the head of this chapter, replacing Ahmad Saleem, who had been arrested for soliciting sex from an individual he believed to be a 12-year-old girl.



As the Democratic Party has moved further to the left, criticism of Israel has become more acceptable within Party circles. Yet, Mubarak goes far beyond this criticism, attacking the Jewish homeland every chance she gets, drifting far into anti-Semitic territory by questioning Israel’s very right to defend herself (a prerequisite to Israel’s existence).



Are the Democratic Party and Buddy Dyer, who happens to be a Democrat himself, going to continue to ignore such obvious and dangerous bigotry and incitement? Will they continue to embrace Rasha Mubarak, as she uses them to legitimize her disturbing behavior?



Both the Democratic Party and Dyer must understand that, in doing so, they are not only embracing Mubarak, but they are also embracing the extreme hatred that goes along with her. Moreover, any idea of the Committee on Multicultural Affairs promoting diversity and “ensuring all residents feel welcomed, respected and accepted,” as the Mayor’s office states it does, will be rendered a despicable farce.

The obvious answer is that she’s been there for a very long time.



Lefties love to claim that they’re the movement that believes in science. But the Third Law of Thermodynamics isn’t something you believe in. Fermat’s Principle doesn’t give your life meaning.



Marianne teaching you spiritual lessons about weight loss on an episode of Oprah does.



Hillary Clinton held a séance in the White House. The seance overseen by Jean Houston, the author of The Hero and the Goddess: The Odyssey as Pathway to Personal Transformation, encouraged Hillary to contact Eleanor Roosevelt. Hillary and Houston hit it off after the Clintons invited self-help book authors to Camp David to help them cope with their defeat. The authors included Marianne Williamson.



Marianne Williamson had reportedly participated in some of Hillary’s White House seances.



Esquire claimed that Hillary Clinton had met her at a fundraiser where the New Age guru made such an impression that she was invited to stay in the Lincoln Bedroom.



Where did Marianne Williamson come from? The White House and the Democrat Party.



Unlike Andrew Yang, Williamson isn’t a fringe character who somehow made it into the debate stage. When she ran for Congress, her backers included Dennis Kucinich, who told supporters, "You are the ones who are calling forward a reality by the name of Marianne Williamson", and Jennifer Granholm, the former Governor of Michigan, who headed a key Hillary SuperPAC.



Williamson is a crackpot, but her crackpottery fills the broken china closets of the Democrats. She got this far because the upper echelons of the Dems don’t believe in God, but do believe in crazy.



When Hillary Clinton wasn’t trying to commune with Eleanor and Gandhi, she appeared to share the obsession of John Podesta, her campaign chair, with UFOs. There was bafflement when former Senator Majority Leader Harry Reid was caught earmarking $22 million to study UFOs. Earlier this year, Reid claimed that there was a UFO race between Russia’s KGB (which no longer exists), China and America.



$10 million went to a Dem donor interested in UFOs who had written Harry $10,000 worth of checks.



The UFO research quickly took a dive into the paranormal, which, according to a senior manager included studying, "bizarre creatures, poltergeist activity, invisible entities." The reports were subcontracted to a research team led by a psychic espionage researcher.



Compare that to President Trump being briefed on UFOs and dismissing them.



Remind me again which party “believes” in science?



Democrats were twice as likely as Republicans to think that astrology is "very scientific". And the Democrats split equally down on the middle on whether astrology was or wasn't scientific.



Liberals were more likely to believe in astrology than conservatives. 43% of liberals believed that astrology was scientific, while only 26% of conservatives did. Only 48.6% of Democrats, compared to 62% of Republicans, were able to correctly answer that the earth revolves around the sun.



58% of Democrats compared to 37% of Republicans believe in UFOs. 35% of Democrats and 27% of Republicans believe they experienced the paranormal. 69% of Democrats, compared to 49% of Republicans, believe in ghosts.



That’s why Marianne Williamson is up there on the debate stage. The only surprise is that it took this long for an unabashed representative of what the Democrats really believe to finally show up.



At the 2020 debates, the Democrats are letting their leftist freak flag fly. They’re coming out of the closet about their support for taking away everyone’s health insurance, dismantling the border and freeing criminals. Why shouldn’t they come out of the closet about their New Age beliefs?



70% of Republicans believe in the God of the bible. Only 45% of Democrats do. 39% believe in some other power or spiritual force. 14% don't believe in any kind of higher power.



47% of white Democrats say that religion isn't really important in their lives. What do they believe in?



Spirituality. Auras. Energy forces. Karma. Battling dark psychic forces. Being attuned to the universe. They believe in, among other things, the founder of the Church of Today who lived in a commune, worked as a cabaret singer, ran a New Age bookstore, and became a fave of Oprah and Hillary Clinton.



"One sometimes gets the impression that the mere words 'Socialism' and 'Communism' draw towards them with magnetic force every fruit-juice drinker, nudist, sandal-wearer, sex-maniac, Quaker, 'Nature Cure' quack, pacifist, and feminist in England," George Orwell wrote.



But do lefty politics draw in nuts and kooks for no apparent reason. Or is the insanity baked inside?



Are Marianne Wiilliamson’s crazy rants about dark psychic forces and force fields unrelated to her politics, or is the socialist conviction that the world needs careful management by the enlightened to cure us of our human nature exactly the sort of political philosophy that attracts quacks and kooks?



Behind the façade of reason, the light side of the Left, with its plans for a totalitarian utopia of resource management, speech policing, constant reeducation, and disposition of the unworthy, is a dark side of festering demons, spirits, ghosts, sorcerous powers, and invisible visitors from other realms. The light side claims that its ideas are the product of science, experts and modern thought, but the dark side is throbbing with magical thinking, hysterical outbursts, senseless cruelty, and cults of personality.



People don’t believe in what speaks to their conscious, but their unconscious.



The Left likes to claim that its plans come out of the light side, but history shows they originate in the dark. That’s why all the scientific plans never work out the way that they are meant to. The revolutions devolve into blood rituals. The economic plans fall into corruption and chaos. And when it’s done, masses of brutalized people wander in the shadows and wonder how all this could have happened.



The answer is that leftist politics only pretend to come from the conscious mind, but actually originate in the resentments, fantasies and terrors of the unconscious mind. Leftism isn’t reasoned, it’s rationalized.



Its politics are the wishes and the vendettas of the subconscious filtered through pseudoscience.



Marianne Williamson is unremarkable. After Trump’s election, tens of thousands of women like her swarmed the streets wearing pink hats to shriek at the sky and repel the dark psychic forces. This caucus of crazy white women, who underlie the leftist activist base, are spiritual rather than religious. They believe that they have special insight and are much too smart for organized religion. They are convinced that women are more spiritually attuned than men, that progressives are more sensitive than everyone else, and that they project spiritual forces through their activism that will change the country.



They believe in everything, ghosts, auras, energy forces, UFOs, and even angels, but no God.



That would be blasphemous because what they believe in, above all else, is themselves.



Marianne Williamson, like Obama and Oprah, speak to their inner specialness, to their egos and their conviction that they were put on earth to change the world and feel good about themselves. They assure them that all their inner conflicts can be resolved by directing their energy into politics and that they will be assured of immortality if their political activism puts them on the right side of history.



They are their own goddesses, their religion is narcissism, and the church is leftist politics.



Hillary Clinton, despite being one of them, never actually managed to speak to them. That’s one of the reasons why she lost. Even aside from Marianne Williamson, the 2020 field is full of Democrats trying out the rising cadences and long pauses of fake spirituality and impassioned vagueness. They use the borrowed poetry of religion to convey faith, but the only thing they believe in is themselves.



Williamson will lose this race. Just as she lost the race to represent Beverly Hills in Congress. But eventually the unofficial religion of the Democrat Party will get a guru as President of the United States.

New Age leader and activist Barbara Marx Hubbard has played an instrumental role with Marianne Williamson in efforts to bring about a Department of Peace in Washington, DC. Warren Smith discusses Marx Hubbard's work and the "selection process" to prepare the world for a new era of consciousness in his online book, Reinventing Jesus Christ Hubbard's book, Happy Birthday Planet Earth, she states:

Pastor Joe Schimmel, in his article "The Coming Persecution" explains:





New Age leader, Barbara Marx Hubbard has stated, "people will either change or die," for "that is the choice." According to those who would concur with Hubbard, Christians will need to be more open minded so they too can receive the mark of the Antichrist. If they will not join with the global community and its agenda, they will be killed by the "opened minded" New Agers. She states that, "This act is as horrible as killing a cancer cell. It must be done (or the sake of the future of the whole. So be it; be prepared for the selection process which is now beginning. We, the elders, have been patiently waiting until the very last moment before the quantum transformation, to take action to cut out this corrupted and corrupting element in the body of humanity. In the following YouTube video, Barbara Marx Hubbard is speaking at the Democratic National Convention about a "citizens solutions council" which can "activate" and "mobilize" those who are working toward global consciousness and unity. This is not fringe edge - it is a reality, one that we believe will, at some point, intersect with the Purpose Driven three-legged stool and the emerging church. The common element - mysticism, which is the ground where all religious traditions come together and acknowlegde their common divinity within.

It is New Age guru Neale Donald Walsch who stated: "The era of the Single Savior is over." This is where the "new spirituality" is heading - thus, let us continue defending the Gospel message of Jesus Christ.

Starting early last Monday morning, President Trump began calling his supporters and other policymakers for advice on what to do following the Dayton and El Paso mass shootings.



He spoke several times with Wayne LaPierre, the chief executive officer of the National Rifle Association (NRA). On Thursday LaPierre issued a statement condemning the push for more gun controls, including expanded background checks to include private sales and congressional pressure urging states (along with promises of federal money) to adopt red flag laws. LaPierre stated: 



I’m not inclined to discuss private conversations with President Trump or other key leaders on this issue. But I can confirm that the NRA opposes any legislation that unfairly infringes on the rights of law-abiding citizens.



The inconvenient truth is this: the proposals being discussed by many would not have prevented the horrific tragedies in El Paso and Dayton. Worse, they would make millions of law-abiding Americans less safe and less able to defend themselves and their loved ones.



LaPierre added: “The NRA will work in good faith to pursue real solutions to the epidemic of violence in America. But many proposals are nothing more than ‘soundbite solutions’ which fail to address the root of the problem, confront criminal behavior, or make our communities safer.”







The next day Trump’s Tweet appeared to indicate a softening of his stance that his administration had to do something, even if it risked losing critical support of his primary base: gun owners. He tweeted:



Serious discussions are taking place between House and Senate leadership on meaningful Background Checks. I have also been speaking to the NRA, and others, so that their very strong views can be fully represented and respected.



But he added: 



Guns should not be placed in the hands of mentally ill or deranged people. I am the biggest Second Amendment person there is, but we all must work together for the good and safety of our Country. Common sense things can be done that are good [for] everyone.



This sounded like a repudiation of previous promises made by the president. He told his supporters at the recent NRA annual meeting, “Your Second Amendment rights are under siege. But they will never, ever be under siege as long as I am your president.”



Rush Limbaugh was quick to remind his listeners that another law wouldn’t change anything: “There’s not a single new law that would change anything. The only thing a new law would do is it would drive a wedge between Trump and his voters and the NRA. Because, make no mistake, they [anti-gun politicians] want your guns. They want every gun you’ve got as quickly as they can get it.”



John Barrasso (R-Wyo.), the No. 3 Senate Republican said, “I have a lot of concerns about the due process component of [red flag laws] and I don’t want to punish law-abiding citizens.”



Alan Gottlieb, chairman of the Second Amendment Foundation, said he was one of those the president had called during the week about a “range of ideas” following the mass shootings, including red flag laws and the resurrection of the 1994 Clinton ban of semi-automatic rifles. He said, based on his conversation with the president, that there is “no way” the White House would back such a resurrection: “There’s no justification for banning those because less than 1 percent ever get misused to start with. There are millions in civilians’ hands right now. What are you going to do, go door to door and confiscate them?”



Michael Hammond, legislative counsel for Gun Owners of America (GOA), described red flag laws as allowing “police to convene a Kafkaesque secret proceeding, in which an American can be stripped of his or her gun rights and Fourth Amendment rights, even though [they] are barred from participating in the hearings or arguing their side of the dispute.… If the Constitution can be suspended in a secret hearing, where does this lead?”



Matt Schlapp, a close ally of the president and head of the American Conservative Union (ACU), said, “I don’t think the president or his Republican allies are going to become … advocates of aggressive gun control.”



Neither does ferocious anti-gun Senator Chris Murphy (D-Conn.) who admitted: “The question is, what difference can the federal government make in what is largely a state decision [on red flag laws]. I’m all for federal action on extreme risk protection orders (ERPOs). I’m just not sure it’s going to move the needle.”



Nor does the anti-gun New York Times. Said the paper, the president’s past “flip-flops” on background checks “raises questions about his real commitment to legislation that would improve the background check system.”



Liberal Politico agrees: 



The odds of serious gun control legislation clearing Congress and being signed into law remain slim. [Senate Majority Leader Mitch] McConnell has shown no interest in the past; the same goes for his conference.



And the same pattern has played out over and over: a public outcry after a mass shooting, followed by hand-wringing among lawmakers for a few days or weeks, before the issue fades. 



There are other more cerebral reasons that legislation being proposed is unlikely to gain purchase once the media-inspired angst quiets down. Judge Andrew Napolitano declared flat out that “red flag laws are unconstitutional," while Bryan Fischer (host of Focal Point on American Family Radio) claims that they put “your right to own a firearm into the hands of the American Psychological Association or the American Psychiatric Association, who will set the standard for the mental health community. No thanks.”



As the drumbeat for more infringements of the Second Amendment recedes with the passage of time, so do the chances of them coming to the front doors of American gun owners. The Second Amendment remains the “third rail” of American politics, and politicians, including the president, touch it at their own risk.

Europe has gone down this road before. It didn’t end well. This time, its principal motivator is the continent’s rapidly growing Muslim population, as well as its endless infatuation with an increasingly anti-Semitic Left. “Europe Poised to Put Warning Labels on Jewish-Made Products,” by Adam Kredo, Washington Free Beacon, August 9, 2019: The European Union is poised to mandate that Israeli products made in contested territories carry consumer warning labels, a decision that could trigger American anti-boycott laws and open up what legal experts describe as a “Pandora’s box” of litigation, according to multiple sources involved in the legal dispute who spoke to the Washington Free Beacon.

The Advocate General of the European Court of Justice recently issued non-binding opinion arguing that EU law requires Israeli-made products to be labeled as coming from “settlements” and “Israeli colonies.”





The decision was seen as a major win for supporters of the anti-Semitic Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions movement, or BDS, which seeks to wage economic warfare on Israel and its citizens. Pro-Israel activists, as well as the Jewish businesses involved in the legal dispute, see the decision as an ominous warning sign that they say is reminiscent of Holocaust-era boycotts of Jewish businesses.



With the EU court’s 15 judge panel now poised to issue its own binding judgment in the case, legal experts are warning that a potential decision mandating such labeling could pave the way for goods from any disputed territory to receive such treatment. The decision also could trigger U.S. anti-boycott laws meant to stop Israeli-made goods from being singled out for unfair treatment on the international market….



The legal dispute first began after France passed a law mandating that products made in the West Bank territory of Israel be labeled as coming from an “Israeli colony,” a label not applied to any other products across the globe.



The term “Israeli colony” is not legally required to be applied under EU law and was seen as overly burdensome by Israeli business leaders.



Following the French decision, the Israeli Psagot winery filed a lawsuit alleging unlawful discrimination against Jewish companies. That lawsuit eventually made its way to Europe’s highest court, the European Court of Justice.



That court now appears poised to affirm the advocate general’s opinion mandating that Israeli goods be labeled in a fashion that opponents say is unfair and anti-Semitic in nature….

BARNEGAT TOWNSHIP, N.J. — A mayor in New Jersey took a stand on Tuesday against a new state law that requires public school curriculum in the state to include information on the contributions of homosexuals and transgenders in American history.
According to the Asbury Press, during the regular meeting for Barnegat Township, Mayor Alfonso Cirulli forthrightly stated that homosexual activism is “an affront to Almighty God” and that it is his duty to protect the people.
Cirulli, a former assistant principal, was referring to a bill that Gov. Phil Murray signed into law in January that requires social studies curriculum for middle and high school students to include teaching on the “political, economic, and social contributions of persons with disabilities and lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people.”
S. 1659 will take effect for the 2020 school year, and it will be up to each Board of Education to “have policies and procedures in place pertaining to the selection of instructional materials to implement the requirements.”
Cirulli believes the new law indoctrinates children and infringes on the religious rights of parents. He is also concerned about how teaching could confuse youth and thrust them into an unnecessary “identity crisis.”
“They could go to the extremes with this, like bringing in a drag queen to kindergartners,” he stated, according to the Washington Post. “They’re just forcing an issue on kids, where I don’t think the state has any interest sticking their nose.”
“Everyone has the right to live his or her life the way they want, but no group has a right to force others to comply with their beliefs, deprive them of their First Amendment rights, and strip the rights of parents of how to morally raise their children,” the mayor continued. “That especially applies to state and federal authorities.”
Cirulli, who is an elder at his church in Toms River, also lamented that liberal politicians are behind other ungodly laws and they will have to give an account to God for their actions.
“Now is the time for the righteous to stand up for their rights,” he declared.
According to the Asbury Press, most of those in attendance listened quietly without comment, but one resident who counsels homosexual and transgender youth complained during the meeting that she “felt like [she] was in church.”
The New Jersey Family Policy Council, however, expressed support for the mayor, stating in a blog post that the “[s]exual orientation, desires, and feelings of historical figures [are] not appropriate or relevant to the teaching of the social contributions of historical giants of the past.”
“More importantly, many parents have taken notice these curriculum standards seek to normalize ‘LGBT identities’ and teach they are acceptable for all people, of any time, including our students, while rejecting religious and moral beliefs that offer love and hope to those struggling with these identities,” lamented President Len Deo.
The organization has consequently decided to form a parental rights group consisting of pastors, educators and parents. Cirulli urged residents throughout New Jersey to demand a repeal of the curriculum law.
“Together, we must speak with the love of Christ to those who identify as gay and transgender and simultaneously protect the next generation from the confusion of moral progressivism,” Deo said.

Using the explicit terminology of Critical Race Theory and Identity Politics, the website belonging to JD Greear just posted a daily devotional explaining why Christians should be giving up their “privilege.”



JD Greear is the ‘woke’ President of the Southern Baptist Convention, and you can read more about him here. Greear has recently been tweeting the ultra-leftist views of a lesbian, has said that voting for Democrats in 2020 is “great,” has claimed that saying Muslims and Christians worship the same God ‘has merit,’ and earlier in January of this year preached that it’s our obligation as Christians to “spread the privilege around,” which is how Neo-Marxists say, “redistribute wealth.”



In a podcast back in January, Greear defined “privilege” as “a kind of invisible set of [unearned] assets.” Christians call such things “blessings,” while Marxists call it, “privilege.” Christians praise God for blessings, Marxists lament them. Christians pray for more blessings, Marxists demand that people give up the privilege they already have. At the time, Greear’s remarks – clearly stained with overt Identity Politics – got the attention and received the ire of theologians like Alex MacFarland, who called it plainly for what it was.



However, in a devotional today that went out on Summit Church’s website entitled, Three Ways to Lay Down Your Privilege, the author uses James and John’s argument about the seating arrangement in Heaven as recorded from Mark’s Gospel and then makes the following bizarre eisegetical twist:





In one statement, Jesus flips the world’s relationship with power upside down. Everyone who possesses power, in this world or God’s kingdom, possesses privilege. Those in the world use their privilege for their own benefit. Those of us in God’s family, however, have the privilege of laying down our power for the benefit of others.





Jesus’ comment in the passage was, “Whoever wants to become great shall become a servant.”



This was nothing about ethnic power dynamics, systemic prejudices, White Privilege, or the Proletariate versus the Bourgeoisie. This is Scripture-twisting on the part of JD Greear, not unlike that engaged in by the many theists who have wed a perverted theology to Marxism over the years.



Greear’s website writes…





Do you live, work, or worship in an environment where your race, gender, or even personality type is the majority? If so, you possess power and privilege. Don’t apologize—rejoice! You have a unique opportunity to love God and others well. Here are three ways our church is learning how to do this-



Again, this idea is Critical Race Theory. It is not like Critical Race Theory. It is not similar to Critical Race Theory. It is not derivative of Critical Race Theory. It is Critical Race Theory.





The notion that if you belong to a majority identity group you innately have power or privilege should be explained to the great many homeless people in Portland who are Caucasian, or should have been explained to black people of South African during Apartheid. Likewise, the idea that a person of a minority identity group doesn’t have power or privilege (say, for example, a black president of the United States), is equally asinine.



The three demands placed upon those in majority identity groups in the article include: (1) look at minority identity groups, (2) listen to minority identity groups, and (3) hand over your privilege and blessings to them.



Alan McCulloch, who wrote the article for Greear’s website, says…





My prayer for the church is that we would rejoice in the privilege of laying down power rather than wallowing in the bondage of protecting it.





The “power” terminology is, again, part-and-parcel to Critical Race Theory, which views everything through the lens of a power and privilege dynamic.



As the Harvard website explains about CRT, “Critical race theories combine progressive political struggles for racial justice with critiques of the conventional legal and scholarly norms…One key focus of critical race theorists is a regime of privilege maintained despite the rule of law [which already provides] equal protection of the laws.”



The solution to race-based privilege, according to CRT, is to guilt majority classes into giving minority classes their wealth, privilege, or power and if unsuccessful, to redistribute such things through the power of democracy.



Albert Mohler recently denied there was a leftward turn in the SBC in the Baptist Press. However, it’s hard to say that with a straight face considering this far-left extremism is coming straight from the Southern Baptist president.

In Ray Bradbury’s classic novel Fahrenheit 451, firemen don’t put out fires; they create fires to burn books.



The totalitarians claim noble goals for book burning. They want to spare citizens unhappiness caused by having to sort through conflicting theories.



Censorship Is Control



The real aim of censorship, in Bradbury’s dystopia, is to control the population. Captain Beatty explains to the protagonist fireman Montag, “You can’t build a house without nails and wood. If you don’t want a house built, hide the nails and wood.” The “house” Beatty is referring to is opinions in conflict with the “official” one.





If you don’t want a man unhappy politically, don’t give him two sides to a question to worry him; give him one. Better yet, give him none. Let him forget there is such a thing as war. If the government is inefficient, top-heavy, and tax-mad, better it be all those than that people worry over it.





A Nobel Laureate Copes with Conflicting Opinions



When making decisions, we often face conflicting theories. Daily, we face choices about what to eat. Although the government issues ever-changing dietary guidelines, thankfully, the marketplace supports personal dietary decisions ranging from carnivore to vegan. We are free to choose our diet based on our evaluation of the available evidence and the needs of our bodies.



When we face health issues, decisions become tougher. There is an orthodox opinion, and there are always dissenting opinions. For example, the orthodoxy recommends statins to reduce high cholesterol. Others believe high cholesterol is not a health risk and that statins are harmful.



Nobel laureate in economics Vernon Smith was taking a prescribed statin and recently observed the impact it was having on him:





In the last week I had a very clear (now) experience of temporary memory loss. I did a little searching and found this article summarizing and documenting1 the evidence over many years.





Smith continues,





Such incidents have been widely reported, but the problem did not arise in any of the clinical trials, but neither were they designed to detect it.





Smith had to weigh the purported benefits against the side effects:





Statin effectiveness in reducing heart/stroke events needs to be weighed against this important negative. Since I am actively writing, this is a primal concern for me, and I have stopped taking it.





A free person understands that there is no one “best” pathway. Although experts have knowledge, a free person takes responsibility, makes a choice, and bears the consequences. We never know what the consequences would have been had we made a different choice.




Some people don’t like to take responsibility for health choices. They prefer to do what they’re told by the doctor.



“Do you understand now why books are hated and feared?” asks Ray Bradbury’s character Professor Faber in Fahrenheit 451. Faber responds to his own rhetorical question:





Because they reveal the pores on the face of life. The comfortable people want only wax moon faces, poreless, hairless, expressionless.





Bradbury is reminding us that life is messy. Often there is no comfortable one-size-fits-all solution to the challenges we face.



Despite the evidence against statins, the medical orthodoxy would like you to believe that those who question statins are being hoodwinked by fake news. The orthodoxy wants you to believe there is one size for all.



Duke University’s Dr. Ann Marie Navar is the Associate Editor of JAMA Cardiology. In her article, “Fear-Based Medical Misinformation,”2 she rails against the “fake medical news and fearmongering [that] plague the cardiovascular world through relentless attacks on statins.”



She writes many patients remain concerned about statin safety. In one study, concerns about statin safety were the leading reason patients reported declining a statin, with more than one in three patients (37 percent) citing fears about adverse effects as their reason for not starting a statin after their physician recommended.



Dr. Navar takes the position that concerns about safety are “fake medical news,” spread in part by ignorant patients via social media. Don’t worry, she counsels, reports are incorrect when they claim “that statins cause memory loss, cataracts, pancreatic dysfunction, Lou Gehrig disease, and cancer.”



Fake news? Dr. David Brownstein (no relation) disagrees:





The Physicians Desk Reference states that adverse reactions associated with Lipitor include cognitive impairment (memory loss, forgetfulness, amnesia, memory impairment, and confusion associated with statin use). Furthermore post-marketing studies have found Lipitor use associated with pancreatitis. Other researchers have reported a relationship between statin use and Lou Gehrig’s disease. Finally, peer-reviewed research has reported a relationship between statin use and cataracts. Statins being associated with serious adverse effects has nothing to do with fake news. These are facts.3





To be sure, more physicians would agree with Dr. Navar than Dr. Brownstein, but should treatments be dictated by those on one side of the argument? After all, due to human variability, statins may both save some lives and impair or kill other people.



With some doctors questioning whether to prescribe statins for everyone,4 there is a large financial incentive to stifle debate.



Can you imagine a future government-controlled health care system, completely captured by the pharmaceutical industry, mandating statins for everyone? I can.



There are good reasons to be concerned that we are losing access to information with which to evaluate opposing sides of health issues, like the statin debate. Already Google is “burning” sites that question the medical orthodoxy about statins.




Mercola.com, operated by Dr. Joseph Mercola, is one of the most trafficked websites providing alternative views to medical orthodoxy. If I were researching statins, I would certainly read several of the numerous essays5 questioning statin use and the cholesterol theory of heart disease. Essays at Mercola.com usually provide references to medical studies. Personally, since Dr. Mercola sells supplements and I am a supplement skeptic, I read his essays—like I read all medical essays—with a grain of salt.



Dr. Kelly Brogan is a psychiatrist who has helped thousands of women find alternatives to psychotropic drugs prescribed to treat depression and anxiety. In her book, A Mind of Your Own: The Truth About Depression and How Women Can Heal Their Bodies to Reclaim Their Lives,6 Brogan reports that one of every seven women and 25 percent of women in their 40s and 50s are on such drugs. She explains,





Although I was trained to think that antidepressants are to the depressed (and to the anxious, panicked, OCD, IBS, PTSD, bulimic, anorexic, and so on) what eyeglasses are to the poor-sighted, I no longer buy into this bill of goods.





For their unorthodox views, Dr. Brogan, Dr. Mercola, and others like them are treated as medical heretics. Dr. Brogan and Dr. Mercola have documented (here and here) how a change in Google’s search engine algorithm has essentially ended traffic to their websites.



From time to time, Google updates algorithms determining how search results are displayed; there is nothing inherently nefarious in such actions. Google has achieved its market position by doing a better job than other search engines.



According to Dr. Mercola,7 before Google’s most recent June 19 algorithm update,





Google search results were based on crowdsource relevance. An article would ascend in rank based on the number of people who clicked on it.





After their June 19 algorithm update, Google is relying more on human “quality” raters. Google instructs raters8 that the lowest ratings should go to a “YMYL page with inaccurate potentially dangerous medical advice.” YMYL stands for “Your Money or Your Life.” Google says,





We have very high Page Quality rating standards for YMYL pages because low-quality YMYL pages could potentially negatively impact users’ happiness, health, financial stability, or safety.





Does that sound reasonable? If a site argues for treatments other than the medical orthodoxy then, by definition, the site can arouse readers’ cause for concern and, for some people, unhappiness. Do we really want Google to assume the role of Bradbury’s firemen?



Google wants to protect you from conflicting opinions. And if you don’t think that’s a problem, imagine sometime in the future when searching for information on monetary policy you only find results for Modern Monetary Theory.9



Google thinks its intention to “do the right thing” is enough to prevent abuses; some Google employees would disagree.10




Google is not eliminating access to alternative health pages; it is making it harder to find them. Typical health searches will still generate plenty of “facts,” just not conflicting facts. In Fahrenheit 451 Captain Beatty explains the government’s strategy: “Give the people contests they win by remembering the words to more popular songs or the names of state capitals or how much corn Iowa grew last year.”



Instead of “conflicting theory,” Captain Beatty explains the strategy is to “cram” the people “full of noncombustible data, chock them so damned full of ‘facts’ they feel stuffed, but absolutely ‘brilliant’ with information.”



Filled with “facts,” Captain Beatty explains, people will “feel they’re thinking, they’ll get a sense of motion without moving.” Beatty assures Montag that his fireman role is noble. Firemen are helping to keep the world happy.





The important thing for you to remember, Montag, is we’re the Happiness Boys, the Dixie Duo, you and I and the others. We stand against the small tide of those who want to make everyone unhappy with conflicting theory and thought. We have our fingers in the dike. Hold steady. Don’t let the torrent of melancholy and drear philosophy drown our world. We depend on you. I don’t think you realize how important you are, to our happy world as it stands now.





The only way Google will maintain its dominance is to continue to meet the needs of consumers. Whether Google continues to “burn” websites is up to us. Google will continue to sort out unorthodox views as long as “we” the consumer continue to rely on Google’s search engine.

Course in Miracles promoter, Marianne Williamson, who is running in the 2020 presidential election, has big plans for the children of this country if she is elected. Among other things, part of those plans is to make sure children in American public schools are trained in mindfulness meditation. While tens of thousands of public schools in the U.S. are already teaching children mindfulness meditation, no doubt, with a New Age president, every school would be including it.

Williamson also promises to advocate for “universal pre-K.” This would help make sure that children as young as 3 and 4 would be placed into the public school system. Advocates of universal pre-K believe they need more time with America’s children and want to get their hands on them much earlier than 5 or 6 (Kindergarten).
Parents beware. If Marianne Williamson (or another candidate with her “values,”) becomes president, this country’s children will be at even greater risk than they are now. And you can be sure, she will not be advocating for homeschooling families.

During a campaign speech she gave in Manchester, New Hampshire on June 19, 2019, Democratic presidential candidate Marianne Williamson characterized government mandates requiring children to get vaccinated as “draconian” and “Orwellian.” According to NBC News reporter Julia Jester who covered the event, Williamson said, “To me, it’s no different than the abortion debate. The U.S. government doesn’t tell any citizen, in my book, what they have to do with their body or their child.”1 2 3 4 5 6



Williamson added:





I’ve met very sincere, very smart people on both sides of the vaccine issue. I understand that infectious diseases are no small deal. But I have to say I know, as a mother, if you’re telling me that I have to put a needle in the arm of my baby and I don’t feel good about what’s in that needle, I’m not sure about that.7





The  morning after she made those comments, Williamson was immediately attacked by the media and issued the first of a series of apologies. Via Twitter, she wrote:





I understand that many vaccines are important and save lives. I recognize there are epidemics around the world that are stopped by vaccines. I also understand some of the skepticism that abounds today about drugs which are rushed to market by Big Pharma. I am sorry that I made comments which sounded as though I question the validity of life-saving vaccines. That is not my feeling and I realize that I misspoke.1 2 3 4 6





But the media would have none of it. Later in the day, Williamson appeared on the television talk show The View and encountered aggressive questioning from the show’s five hosts, who appeared to be concerned that she was a closet “anti-vaxxer.” Williamson was grilled several times about whether she did or did not support mandatory vaccinations. Each time, she avoided answering the question directly, which had the effect of fueling the talk show hosts’ skepticism about her position.



In response to a question from co-host Meghan McCain regarding Williamson’s “draconian” and “Orwellian” comments on vaccine mandates, Williamson said:





I think I misspoke in that one sentence. But I’d like to express myself. The fact that you have a problem with the revolving door policy by which Big Pharma and the CDC and the FDA are so cozy so that millions of Americans who are not anti-science and are not anti-vaccine have some deep concerns, the days of blind faith in Big Pharma are over, the days of blind faith in the idea that our government agencies are doing the proper oversight and proper advocacy for the American people against, at times, the overreach of profit-making industries that are putting money before people… that is not an irrational or unreasonable thing.8





But McCain was not satisfied with the lengthy answer, so she asked a follow-up question seeking clarification… “Now you’re okay with mandatory vaccinations?”8



Williamson responded: “It’s not that now I’m okay, I haven’t changed since yesterday. I misspoke on that one sentence. But I will say this, when I am president of the United States there will be a commission of scientists, learning so that the American people see what’s going on with these vaccines, who are not paid by Big Pharma.”8



In a roundabout way, what Williamson seemed to be saying is that she is not a fan of vaccine mandates. While she says she regrets having used words like “draconian” and “Orwellian” to describe such mandates, she appears to be wary whether the government is doing a good enough job regulating the safety and effectiveness of vaccines that are produced and sold by drug companies. Williamson’s proposal to set up a commission of independent scientists to “see what’s going on with these vaccines” suggests that she is not entirely sold on the popular narrative that “vaccines are safe and effective” and she believes there is room for improvement.



However, co-host Sunny Hostin was not satisfied with Williamson’s response. She clearly wanted a yes or no answer on the question of vaccine mandates. Hostin followed up, “I don’t know that you’ve answered Meghan’s question. Do you support mandatory vaccination?”8



“I understand that public safety must come first. But I also understand that we must have a balance between public safety and the issue of individual freedom. I do not trust the propaganda on either side, Williamson said.8



At that point, co-host Joy Behar, who was clearly frustrated, interrupted saying, “I know, but this kind of nebulous answer makes people paranoid. Yes or no?”8



Looking exasperated, Williamson gave up trying to make her point and simply offered the most succinct and safest answer she could think of to put an end to grilling: “I support vaccines. I support vaccines.”8



Unfortunately for Williamson, certain media outlets have decided to drill down on her for taking a centrist, rather than a polarized, position. Some journalists and news commentators appear to suspect that, while Williamson may lament her choice of words in describing her opinion about vaccine mandates, if she opposes forcing or coercing people to get vaccinated, then she is “anti-science” and “anti-vaccine.”



Apparently, it is no longer enough to support the availability and use of vaccines. In order to avoid being tagged with the “anti-science” and “anti-vaxxer” labels, one must wholeheartedly believe in and publicly support the idea that government officials and doctors should force people to submit to medical procedures such as vaccination without their consent.



On July 17, 2019, Williamson tweeted, “Misrepresentations of my work are in high gear this morning, so just in case it need be said: I am not anti-vaxx. I am pro-science & medicine.”9



It should be noted that supporting government vaccine recommendations is not exactly the same as supporting forced use of all government recommended vaccines without the informed consent of individuals or parents of minor children.







On July 30, Williamson appeared on MSNBC’s “The Beat With Ari Melber” and, again, her draconian and Orwellian remarks were raised. Williamson responded:





Well, the issue of draconian and Orwellian… This is the issue. When I was a child, we took far fewer vaccines and there was much less bundling and there was much less chronic illness. I don’t know why… you know, this is not a topic that I have consciously chosen to, this is not some big topic for me. … What I’m saying is that in 1986, there was this vaccine protection law, and there have been $4 billion in vaccine compensation payments that have been made, and there was much less chronic [illness]. There was something like 12 percent chronic illness among our children previous to that law and there’s 54 percent now. … You know, what is going on here?10



I want more scientific research [on vaccines]. I want more scientific research that is not paid for by Big Pharma. In a Williamson administration, there will be more scientific review, more science. … I want less scientific review that is paid for by Big Pharma.10





Seeking clarification regarding Williamson’s position on government vaccine mandates, program host Ari Melber pressed, “Just so we’re clear, your view, though, of federal or state government vaccination requirements is they are valid or you may oppose them?”10



Again, Williamson resisted being pigeon-holed…





Absolutely. With any medical intervention, there are benefits and there are risks. The government always has to come down on the side of the public good. Absolutely. I was vaccinated. My daughter was vaccinated. Of course. Of course, I am. I just want to know that when it comes to the review of our drugs and when it comes to all issues related to drugs, just as we have to now learn from what is happening with the opioid crisis, I want independent regulation that is conducted by the government that is not paid for by Big Pharma.10





You can see what Williamson is getting at. While she may, indeed, believe that “no exemptions” mandatory vaccination laws are both draconian and Orwellian, her main beef is with a government drug and vaccine regulatory system that she concludes has been compromised by undue influence from the pharmaceutical industry, which is primarily interested in financial profit. Voicing concern that there is undue influence by vaccine manufacturers on effective government regulation of vaccines to ensure their safety is not being anti-science or anti-vaccine. It merely represents an unwillingness to have blind faith in a rigged system.



As Williamson said on the TV show Real Time with Bill Maher in 2015:





I think that the government has earned our distrust. I think the pharmaceuticals have. This is the problem when institutions lose their moral authority. We know that the government has suppressed information and withheld information. We know that the medical establishment has suppressed information and withheld information. So that, at this point, even when they say something that we should listen to, people have a skepticism, and that’s the real problem. This is what happens when we don’t believe our government enough and we don’t believe our medical establishment enough. The answer is not to tell us we’re kooks but for them to get their act together so that they are more trustworthy again.11





She added:





There’s a skepticism which is actually healthy on this issue of vaccinations.11





In her efforts to explain her well-reasoned position on vaccines, the legitimate points Williamson is making have been lost in what has become an all-too-familiar attempt to discredit and label anyone who asks for improvements in government regulation of vaccines or questions the ethics of forced vaccination policies as “anti-vaccine.” It is a convenient way for the media to use name-calling to deflect attention away from intelligent conversations about vaccine safety science and vaccine mandates that are going on behind closed doors despite the media’s attempts to publicly shut them down.

The National Council of Canadian Muslims (NCCM) is calling on a Toronto-area Conservative candidate in the upcoming fall Federal elections to drop out of the race “following reports about her past social media posts,” which the NCCM deems to be “Islamophobic.” The candidate is Ghada Melek, a Coptic Christian immigrant. The acting executive director of the NCCM, Nadia Hasan, claimed that Melek “’wouldn’t know how to serve’ all citizens in the very diverse riding of Mississauga-Streetsville.” A sufficient explanation of how Melek was “Islamophobic” is absent, but since Melek caused the NCCM  “offense,” that was enough reason for the NCCM to charge her with being unable to serve all citizens as an elected official.
Melek stands accused of retweeting “a post that blamed Detroit’s ‘economic hell’ on Islamist extremism in 2013″. The NCCM also made irrational leaps to conclusions about Melek’s views about gays.
It’s odd that the NCCM never makes an issue of the death sentence for gays in many Islamic countries, and the hatred for gays that is being preached in some Canadian mosques. In fact,  Ihsaan Gardee, executive director of the NCCM, said about an Ottawa mosque that lost its charity status for preaching hate and intolerance that “he’s worried about the future of the mosque because it relies on being a charity to raise money.” The NCCM is also silent about the Muslim genocide of Christians, even as it declined an invitation to attend the US summit on religious freedom because of Trump’s temporary ban on immigration from several Muslim countries — countries that were selected by the Obama administration.
One wonders why and how the NCCM, which has grown to wield mammoth influence in Canada, is able to exercise such influence with impunity. Islamic supremacist groups such as the NCCM have been an oppressive force in Canada since their founding.
Canadians in general, like citizens of many other Western nations, are all too often naive about the extent to which Islamic supremacist influences have entered into Canada and are now actively engaged at every layer of society.
In the U.S., CAIR is the foremost Islamic supremacist group of influence. In Canada, it is the NCCM, formerly named CAIR-CAN — an offshoot of CAIR. Its earlier press releases identified the group as: “Council on American Islamic Relations Canada”:

“In 2009, the FBI severed its liaison relationship’ with CAIR after evidence presented in the Holy Land Foundation terrorism trial demonstrated a relationship between the CAIR and the terrorist organization Hamas. In 2009, Judge Solis also ruled that “The [U.S.] Government has produced ample evidence to establish the associations of CAIR…with Hamas.”
When CAIR-CAN decided to rebrand its image in July 2013 and change its name to the National Council of Canadian Muslims, it “reassured” its following in a press release that “we remain the same organization our constituents and partners have come to rely on to represent a broad and diverse spectrum of Canadian Muslims.”
An excerpt from a Discover the Network’s report about the NCCM’s parent organization, CAIR, states:
CAIR promotes a radical Islamic vision, as evidenced by the fact that its co-founder Omar Ahmad told a Fremont, California audience in July 1998: “Islam isn’t in America to be equal to any other faith, but to become dominant. The Koran … should be the highest authority in America, and Islam the only accepted religion on Earth.” In a similar spirit, co-founder Ibrahim Hooper told a reporter in 1993: “I wouldn’t want to create the impression that I wouldn’t like the government of the United States to be Islamic sometime in the future.” In 2003 Hooper stated that if Muslims ever become a majrity in the United States, they will likely seek to replace the U.S. Constitution with Islamic law, which they deem superior to man-made law. In the late 1980s, Ihsan Bagby, who would later become a CAIR Board member, stated that Muslims “can never be full citizens of this country,” referring to the United States, “because there is no way we can be fully committed to the institutions and ideologies of this country.”
Consider some other key points on the Canadian website Point de Bascule, which has long been dedicated to “describing the methods and means used” by Islamic supremacist and jihadist organizations to “implement their program in Canada.”
La Presse (Montreal) published a text announcing the launch of a guide on Islamophobia for Canadian schools by the National Council of Canadian Muslims, the Canadian Human Rights Commission and the Winnipeg-based Islamic Social Services Association. However, the text nowhere mentions the links that exist between the National Council of Canadian Muslims (NCCM, formerly CAIR-CAN or CAIR-Canada) and radical Islam since its incorporation in 2000 and even before as CAIR-Montreal.
As reported by Fabrice de Pierrebourg in La Presse at the time, it is certainly no less indispensable to tell readers that, in the past, the NCCM endorsed scholars such as Siraj Wahhaj who advocated the conversion to Islam of youth who felt excluded, and eventually arming them with Uzi submachine guns so that they could wage jihad in U.S. streets.
A recent report by the Belgian French-language public broadcaster, the RTBF, explained how Islamists, and those close to the Muslim Brotherhood infrastructure in particular, use the accusation of Islamophobia to advance their cause. In this TV report, sociologist Gilles Kepel stressed that “Islamophobia is a weapon being used against non-Muslims who criticize Islam. It is also being used against those Muslims who have a wrong interpretation of Islam, in other words an interpretation they disagree with.” What the notion of “phobia” implies is that those who are accused of “Islamophobia” have an “irrational fear” of some trend or aspect of Islam.
In December 2012, the NCCM (then called CAIR-CAN, CAIR-Canada) accused Point de Bascule of Islamophobia after we criticized Justin Trudeau (then a Liberal leadership contender) for having agreed to address the RIS Islamist convention scheduled to take place later that month in Toronto….
On December 15, 2012, five days after the initial Point de Bascule article about IRFAN and Justin Trudeau was published and the news picked up by the National Post and other mainstream media, IRFAN withdrew its sponsorship of the event. After only a few days, what the NCCM had presented as an irrational fear, a phobia, an Islamophobia proved to be a meaningful threat. In 2014, IRFAN-Canada itself was added to Canada’s list of outlawed terrorist groups.
Like CAIR, the NCCM is also infamous for launching lawsuits against citizens for stepping out of line on issues pertaining to Islamic supremacism and jihad.
The NCCM, which widely wields the word “Islamophobia” in efforts to shut down criticism of Islam, defined what it means by the word “Islamophobia” in a Toronto District School Board guidebook: “fear, prejudice, hatred or dislike directed against Islam or Muslims, or towards Islamic politics or culture.” According to this definition, it would be considered “Islamophobic” to oppose the Sharia.
The NCCM was responsible for  “Islamophobia” Charters in six major Canadian cities (Calgary, Vancouver, Montreal, Toronto, Windsor and London), and it heavily backed anti-Islamophobia Motion M-103, which accuses Canadians of fostering “a climate of fear” toward Muslims, a fear that must be “quelled.”

The NCCM receives taxpayer funding from the Trudeau government, as announced by MP Iqra Khalid, who introduced Motion M-103 to help “take action” against “Islamophobia,” which includes “monitoring citizens for compliance.” Iqra Khalid held a press conference at the end of June 2018, in which she openly admitted that the NCCM and IRFAN (International Relief Fund for the Afflicted and Needy Canada), “that does a lot of data collecting on hate crimes and pushing that advocacy needle forward,” will be receiving funds from a $23-million anti-discrimination initiative, in which efforts to combat “Islamophobia” are included.
By now, one can see how far-reaching the influence of the NCCM is in Canadian affairs, similar to its parent organization CAIR. Together, both organizations serve as “watchdogs” over the democratic nations in which they operate freely. The latest in Canada now is the hoopla about Ghada Melek. Some quick facts about Melek, from her website: she has a bachelors degree in mechanical engineering, serves as a senior manager at a business firm, is Vice President of the Mississauga Streetsville Rotary Club, Vice President of the Greater Toronto Area Ontario Progressive Conservative Women Executive, Board Executive with the Coptic Professional Association, and a married mother of two.
By all indications, Melek is a hardworking community-involved immigrant who has contributed significantly to the professional and social fabric of Canadian society, as many immigrants have done. But she has suddenly become branded with the dreaded “Islamophobia” label by the NCCM, which (like its counterpart CAIR) is doing more damage than any other group in the country to divide citizens by manipulating identity politics.
It is atrocious that Ghada Melek, a Coptic Christian Conservative candidate originally from Egypt who should be safe from persecution in Canada, is being bullied by a Muslim Brotherhood-linked organization.
The Muslim Brotherhood has been declared to be a terrorist group in Egypt, where the organization was founded by Hassan al-Banna in 1928. When Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi visited the White House in April, he urged President Trump also to designate the group as a terrorist entity, which the Trump administration is now contemplating. Such a move by the U.S. “would have far-reaching effects, sanctioning companies and individuals who had any interactions with the group,” which would be a welcomed move, considering the dogged efforts by MB-linked groups to subvert the West as indicated in its own words taken from “Government Exhibit 003-0085 3:04-CR-240-G in U.S. v Holy Land Foundation, et al: An Explanatory Memorandum On The General Strategic Goal For The Group In North America”:
The process of settlement is a ‘Civilization-Jihadist Process’ with all the word means. The Ikhwan [Muslim Brotherhood] must understand that their work in America is a kind of grand jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and “sabotaging” its miserable house by their hands and the hands of the believers so that it is eliminated and God’s religion is made victorious over all other religions.
A brief background about the Explanatory Memorandum: It was entered as evidence in the largest terrorism funding trial in America, the Holy Land Foundation trial, which uncovered the vast network of Muslim Brotherhood groups and affiliates operating in North America. A list of these groups which were designated “unindicted co-conspirators” to jihad terror can be found HERE. Based on evidence from the HLF trial in 2015, the FBI cut ties with CAIR.
It is surprising how so few leaders have even read this critical document, the “Explanatory Memorandum.” Muslim Brotherhood affiliates have manipulated the “Islamophobia” subterfuge and “racism” victimology using a cry wolf routine to stymie anyone who is deemed to be a threat to the advance of their objectives. And it’s working well, at the expense of real victims of discrimination.
Muslim groups with established ties to the Muslim Brotherhood claim to benignly represent the voices of Muslims in Western societies, but instead, their objectives are to erode Western democratic principles, especially the freedom of speech. The spread of Islamic supremacism is the single biggest issue that divides Canada. This can be seen in the controversy over the UN Migration Pact, on which Canada vowed to “lead the charge”; Canada’s Somali immigration minister Ahmed Hussen intends to flood Canada with economic migrants from Muslim countries, while any opposition to his ideas are deemed to be “xenophobic” and “racist”. A Christian family, meanwhile, faces deportation back to Nigeria. Justin Trudeau has called evangelical Christians the “worst part of Canadian society”.
Canada currently suffers from a vacuum in leadership under the Liberal government. While the official opposition is the Conservative Government under Andrew Scheer, the new People’s Party of Canada (PPC) could either split the vote or, some say, balance representation in Parliament. The PPC under Maxime Bernier, who left the Conservative Party last year, has unveiled a policy to “work with allies to defend Canada’s security, especially against radical Islamic terrorism.”
There have been many concerns and questions about whether the Conservative Party of Canada has been intimidated by Islamic supremacist influences and, in fact, by the Trudeau government, which is quick to levy accusations of “Islamophobia” against the Conservatives, even for questioning its support for the return of Islamic State fighters. Some points of concern about the Trudeau government:
  • Trudeau was in violation of conflict of interest rules over lavish vacations that he and his family took on the Aga Khan’s island, paid for by Canadian taxpayers. It emerged that a $15 million grant from Canada went to the endowment fund of the Aga Khan’s Global Centre for Pluralism. Now Trudeau is pretending to be sorry about it.
  • Trudeau paid jihadist Omar Khadr 10.5 million dollars for Khadr’s supposedly shoddy treatment in Gitmo; Trudeau made up silly excuses and said he also felt the frustration of Canadians when questioned about it.
  • Trudeau also accused the Conservative party of “Islamophobia” for inquiring about jihad terrorism.
  • Trudeau met privately with Joshua Boyle, a suspicious former Taliban captive who is also now facing 15 criminal charges.
  • Trudeau has heavily and passionately advocated for returning Islamic State fighters and welcomed any immigrants rejected by America.
  • The Trudeau government was trying to reopen relations with the Iranian regime, with his Iranian MP Majid Jowhari starting a petition to do so.
  • The Liberal government’s sharia-supporting MP Omar Alghabra represented Canada at the 44th session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation. Since when is Canada an OIC state?
The Trudeau government’s biggest scandal, involving SNC Lavalin, was linked to Libya . “SNC-Lavalin paid for Gadhafi son’s debauchery while he was in Canada…..Receipts showed $30,000 in payments to Saadi Gadhafi for sexual services in Canada in 2008.”
So far, Coptic Christian Conservative nominee Ghada Melek still remains as a contender in the upcoming federal elections, and presumably, this means that she is being supported by Conservative leader Andrew Scheer.
Melek will most likely be further harassed by the NCCM and its allies before elections in October and beyond, should she emerge as an MP in her riding of Mississauga-Streetsville. It is the fate of anyone who offends the NCCM by criticizing Islamic supremacism, jihad terror and its risks to democracy. Hate speech is already in Canada’s criminal code; it doesn’t need to be re-defined by Islamic supremacists, Muslim Brotherhood associates, the Fiqh Council of North America, or the profiteers of high pressure special interest groups.
Melek’s retweet or shared posts on Facebook about Islamic supremacism was not discussed intelligently by the NCCM in a spirit of open dialogue. Melek is simply accused of “Islamophobia.” The NCCM routinely accuses and dictates who should be punished, and leads witchhunts in an atmosphere of political correctness that it helped to cultivate and advance in Canada.
By all indications, Melek did not smear Muslims. Melek responded politely in this way to the NCCM:
As a Coptic-Christian, I know what my family and friends often endured under Morsi and the (Muslim) Brotherhood, and that passion may have got the best of me at times.
How did it get the “best of her”?  Here Melek made an obvious effort to be conciliatory, but the Canadian public is still left with the question: what did Melek say that was so offensive and discriminatory as to warrant her stepping down as a politician?  It is the “disbelievers” in Canadian society who are constantly placed on trial by the NCCM, and scrutinized for how they might represent Islam. In Canada, any criticisms of Islamic supremacism and the sharia are deemed to be “Islamophobic” by the arbiters of public opinion — the NCCM et al.
“Islamophobia” is a word that must be rejected in honest efforts to fight discrimination, and replaced by “anti-Muslim bigotry.” Since “Islamophobia,” according to the NCCM, means “fear, prejudice, hatred or dislike directed against Islam or Muslims, or towards Islamic politics or culture,” all democratic societies should have problems with Islamic politics and certain aspects of Islamic culture that harm innocent people, such as female genital mutilation (FGM), child marriage, forced marriage, the inferiority of women, the covering of women (Quran 24:31, 33:59), the persecution of Christians and other minorities, stonings, murder of apostates, gays etc. There should be no apologies for opposing such things.
Canada has become a country that “protects sharia law,” and it is in need of leadership that is willing to be unapologetic about defending the rights and freedoms of all people, including those who are courageous enough to address the biggest issue threatening Canada’s security, peace and freedom: Islamic supremacism.
Merely a few decades ago, Canada (like the U.S.) which was divided along political lines between liberals and conservatives, knew where to draw lines of respectability in the face of difference. Dialogue was civil beyond maybe a “fuddle duddle,” and free speech thrived. Like any “household,” society needed constant work toward improvement, but its constitution was never threatened, and the freedom of its citizens was never in question. Those were the days where if Christianity was insulted, public feedback from opinion columns identified the crassness, the lewdness, the moral degeneracy of those who insulted Christianity, but the offender was never threatened with violence, lawfare, or stigmatizing labels.
To indicate open support for managed immigration, the freedom of speech, pluralism and equality for all creeds and races should be a basic requirement of and expectation from all Western leaders, without apology.
Even Pierre Trudeau, who was well known for his Communist alliances, was also widely recognized even by his foes as a statesman (unlike his son Justin) who fought to unite the country, and battled the separatists of Quebec. Although “he became the key architect of multiculturalism, he regretted how multiculturalism had been warped to emphasize an immigrant’s identification with his country or culture of origin rather than his assimilation of a Canadian identity. At a private luncheon with MPs in the mid-1990s, Trudeau was asked whether multiculturalism had developed the way he hoped. He replied: ‘No, this is not what I wanted.’”
It was ultimately the Progressive Conservative Government of Brian Mulroney that passed the Canadian Multicultural Act to “promote the full and equitable participation of individuals and communities of all origins in the continuing evolution and shaping of all aspects of Canadian society’ by establishing legislation to protect ethnic, racial, linguistic and religious diversity within Canadian society.”
That diversity is dying, giving way to Islamic supremacist intolerance. This also affects Muslims of goodwill. I spoke on a panel in March on “religion in the public space,” on which a Muslim indicated how his children suffered intimidation from their coreligionists for not fasting in accordance with Islamic doctrine. Islamic supremacism represents the opposite of what the real meanings of the words “diversity” and “pluralism” represent. Let’s hope that Ghada Melek continues to represent Canada proudly as a pluralistic country, as well as provide a glimmer of hope for those persecuted people who arrive in Canada — such as the Christian Copts and other minority groups who have suffered under Islamic supremacism. Canada must protect their rights and freedoms, not cave to the very evil that they escaped from back home.

The barbarism of Boko Haram, an Islamist militant group, has reached new heights after reports of women having their ears chopped off during an attack on a Christian village.



Local media reports that Boko Haram fighters stormed the Christian village of Kalagari in northern Cameroon on July 29, taking eight women hostage and cutting off their ears before releasing them.



The women are being treated for their injuries but Open Doors UK said it was not clear whether all of the abducted women had been released.



The militant group has terrorised Christian communities in Nigeria for the last decade and has now splintered and spread its violent ideology into Cameroon, Niger and Chad.



It is notorious for abducting women and girls, most famously 276 largely Christian schoolgirls from Chibok in 2014, but there have been others….



Nigeria is number 12 on the Open Doors World Watch List of top 50 countries where persecution against Christians is the greatest….
