Turkey’s ambassador to the Vatican, Lutfullah Goktas, has stated deceptively that “freedom of religion is protected under the Turkish constitution,” and that “Turkey has made significant progress regarding freedom of religion in its territory, such as restoring churches and synagogues.”



Goktas was speaking at an event in Naples entitled “1929-2019: Ninety years of relations between state and religious groups.” 



Yet normative Islam does not recognize (let alone respect) any other religion but Islam, and to leave Islam renders one an apostate, worthy of death.



The truth is that Turkey does not recognize the freedom of religion, as Goktas claims. 



The country’s governing party frames Christians as a “threat to the stability of the nation,” and Turkish Christian citizens are regarded as Western collaborators, instead of as real Turks. Since 2016, Turkey has “stepped up its war on Christianity by seizing all the churches in one city and declaring them state property.” And not just one denomination has been targeted by the Turkish leadership: “included in the seizures are Catholic, Protestant and Orthodox churches, one of which is over 1,700 years old.” Turkey also continues to deny the Armenian genocide, and to add insult to injury, the Turkish government has also seized Armenian churches and land.



In even more deception, “Goktas said Turkey was an important country for the Vatican in the sense of ensuring its communication with Catholics.” But as reported by the Catholic Herald:



Turkish Christians suffer endless petty and not so petty discrimination at the hands of the state, and Christians in Turkey are also subject to random acts of violence for the simple offence of being Christian.



What is sad is that the Turkish government does not seem to think that this a problem. There are very few Christians left in Turkey; soon there may be none at all. What does that tell you about the Turkish nation



The biggest problem is that the Vatican is not taking Christian persecution seriously enough in Turkey and elsewhere. Instead, the Pope has been bending over backwards to embrace Islamic supremacists everywhere, declaring Islam to be a religion of peace, and conjuring up ways for the flock to follow his example.

Freedom of religion is protected under the Turkish constitution, Turkey’s ambassador to the Vatican said Thursday.

Lutfullah Goktas was speaking at a session on ‘The role of ambassadors in relations with the Vatican’ as part of an international symposium held at Napoli Federico II University in Naples titled ‘1929-2019: Ninety years of relations between state and religious groups.’



It was held on the occasion of the 90th anniversary of the Lateran Pacts between Italy and the Papacy.



Goktas said Turkey is a secular country and an overwhelming majority of its people are Muslims.



“Relations between the Papacy [Vatican] date back to the Ottoman [Empire] era. The establishment of diplomatic ties between Turkey and the Vatican, however, occurred in 1960 amid the reign of Pope John XXIII. We look forward to strengthening our relations further based on the principle of respecting differences.”



Since the early 2000s, according to Goktas, Turkey has made significant progress regarding freedom of religion in its territory, such as restoring churches and synagogues, resolving matters of immovable properties and registering legal entities.



“Based on the understanding of equal citizenship, our state is sensitive to the problems of members of other religions,” he said.

When Congress recently voted on a resolution recognizing the Armenian genocide, the vote was lopsided in favor, 405 in favor, 11 against, with 3 voting “present.” One of those voting “present” was Ilhan Omar, the Muslim Congresswoman from Minnesota. Just a few days before, there had been a different vote involving Turkey, calling for sanctions on that country for its attacks on the Syrian Kurds. Omar had been one of a handful, and the only Democrat, to vote against that sanctions bill. The Turkish-American basketball player, Enes Kanter, an opponent of Erdogan’s despotism, tweeted about Ilhan Omar after that vote: “What an absolute disappointment and shame that the only democrat who did NOT support the Turkish bill aiming to stop the killing of innocent people is @IlhanMN who seems like on #DictatorErdogan ‘s payroll working for his interests, but not for the American people and democracy!” One would like to know if Omar has received any money or other gifts from Erdogan; it might help explain her latest votes.



That would be a scandal, but Ilhan Omar has been no stranger to scandal. Many believe that Omar’s second husband, a British citizen named Ahmed Nur Said Elmi, was actually her brother, and that she married him to help him fraudulently gain a US green card. Omar filed joint tax returns with her current husband, Ahmed Hirsi, while still legally married to Elmi. Hirsi and Omar also listed the same home address in public court records and temporarily relocated to North Dakota together while she was married to Elmi. When Omar filed those joint tax returns with Hirsi in 2014 and 2015 while she was still legally married to Elmi, she was fined by Minnesota’s campaign-finance watchdog for paying a lawyer with campaign funds to fix the mistake, since federal law prohibits people from filing joint returns with a person who is not their spouse.



Ilhan Omar’s explanation of why she did not vote for the Armenian Genocide resolution was that there are so many other genocides that have not been the object of Congressional resolutions that it seemed wrong to single out this one:



“A true acknowledgement of historical crimes against humanity must include both the heinous genocides of the 20th century, along with earlier mass slaughters like the transatlantic slave trade and Native American genocide, which took the lives of hundreds of millions of indigenous people in this country.”



This is illogical. She is arguing that no “historical crimes against humanity” should be recognized as long as many other such crimes have not yet been recognized. Unless those others are recognized, Ilhan Omar insists that it would be unfair to single out any particular genocide. For her, it’s all or nothing at all. But if that reasoning were to be adopted, then no recognition or condemnation of genocide could ever be adopted by Congress, unless all other genocides were similarly included. She doesn’t think that the Armenian Genocide should be recognized, so she claims, unless other genocides, going back several centuries, are recognized at the same time. Since that cannot possibly happen, she is justifying her permanent opposition to such a resolution.



She mentions, as worthy of being recognized by Congress, two examples of “mass slaughters” in which, she claims, America was implicated. The first was the transatlantic slave trade. But that was not a genocide; there were no “mass slaughters” of the slaves. Both the European slave-traders, and the American slave-owners, made every effort to keep their slaves both alive and healthy; after all, the slaves  were valuable property, and that property had to be protected. The best estimate is that of the 12-14 million slaves taken from Africa across the Atlantic to the Americas, 1.8 million slaves died in the Middle Passage, not from “genocide,” but from overcrowding, disease, and lack of medical care. The death rates for the crews on those slave ships were even higher than for the slaves. That is a far lower figure than that of the tens of millions of black African slaves who are believed to have died in the Arab Slave Trade, which began in the late seventh century, and only ended in the 20th, where it did end, because of Western pressure. Slavery was not abolished, for example, in Saudi Arabia and Yemen until 1962; in Oman, it was not until 1970.



Why was the death rate so much higher among African blacks seized by the Arabs than for those taken by the Europeans? The explanation lies in the particular nature of the Arab slave trade. Most of those seized were young black boys, intended to serve as eunuchs in harems in the Muslim lands. They were castrated in the bush, in primitive operations, without anesthesia or sterile instruments; these operations  often lead to death from infections or other complications. Those who survived the operation were then taken by the slavers on long journeys, marched hundreds of miles, either all the way up to the Muslim slave markets of Cairo and North Africa, or to the coast, where they were taken by dhow across the Red Sea, and then marched again for hundreds of miles to the other slave markets of Islam – Muscat, Riyadh, Baghdad, Damascus, Istanbul. Many of the boys who survived their castration did not survive the long treks.



The scholar Jan Hogedoorn, in his study “The Hideous Trade,” estimates that only 10%-30% of those castrated slaves survived. Despite this mortality rate, the trade was profitable, because eunuchs fetched higher prices than ordinary slaves. The best estimate now is that 14-17 million black Africans survived the trip from Africa’s interior to reach the Islamic slave markets. Many of them were those castrated boys, to be used as eunuchs; the others taken — men, women, girls — had much higher rates of survival than the boys. It is hard, then, to estimate the actual numbers of black Africans seized by Arab slavers, but given the data supplied by Hogedoorn and others, it was at least several times the number who survived. At least 40 million seems a reasonable estimate — a number that far exceeds the 12 million taken in the Atlantic slave trade, the trade about which we hear so much and the only slave trade that Ilhan Omar thinks deserves to be recognized, for she has never said a word about the much more catastrophic Arab Slave Trade. This trade wreaked havoc all over East and Central Africa, disrupting tribal societies. In his monograph on “The Wanderings of Peoples,” the British historian A. C. Haddon notes that in Africa “the slave trade, as carried on under Arab influence…contributed powerfully to the dislocation of tribes.” Damage was done to the African social order because of this slave trade, which went deep into Africa, as deep as the Congo, unlike the Atlantic Slave Trade, which confined itself to the coast of West Africa where Europeans did not seize, but bought their African slaves from other Africans, many of them Muslims.



Even now, black Africans are enslaved by Muslim Arabs in Mali, Mauritania, and Niger. One wonders if Ilhan Omar would be willing to support a resolution recognizing, and deploring, in equal measure, both the Atlantic Slave Trade and the Arab Slave Trade. I suspect not; she’s too intent on protecting the reputation of her fellow Muslims, the Arabs. She would be even less likely to support a Congressional resolution recognizing, and calling for an end to, the current enslavement of black Africans in Mali, Mauritania, and Niger – a resolution that, if passed, could well do some immediate good by pressuring those states to end the practice.



Omar also plays past and loose with numbers. She refers to the “genocide” of the indigenous Native Americans in the U.S. territories as claiming “hundreds of millions of victims.” That’s an impossible figure; the total number of Native Americans in what became the United States when the Europeans arrived in 1492 was only 7-10 million (there were 40-50 million South America), of whom about 10%, or 1 million, died, not from being killed by the Europeans, but almost entirely from disease. The Europeans brought with them measles, chicken pox, smallpox, influenza, and the bubonic plague across the Atlantic, with devastating consequences for the Indigenous populations.



The Europeans were not engaged in deliberate “genocide” of the indigenous peoples in North America. They wanted land, and were intent not on wiping out the indigenous populations, but on pushing them ever further west; in South America, the Europeans wanted the indigenous peoples to stay alive to work the fields and mines. The Europeans in both North and South America could not foresee that the indigenous peoples would not have the same resistance to diseases that the Europeans had acquired over time. Furthermore, little was known about the transmission of these diseases; there was no understanding of how to protect the indigenous peoples. Yet Ilhan Omar wants to label these deaths from disease a deliberate “genocide” that “killed hundreds of millions” in the territory of the U.S. There was no deliberate genocide, though there was certainly warfare over land. Those “indigenous peoples” who died numbered at most a few million, almost all from disease. There could not have been “hundreds of millions” of victims within the territory of the U.S., given that the total indigenous population in that territory was never more than 10 million, the estimated population in 1492; in fact, the Indian population in America steadily decreased from its 1492 level, rising again only in the 20th century.



Would Ilhan Omar want the true “genocide” conducted against Hindus by Muslims in India, which claimed 70-80 million lives, over several centuries, to be recognized by Congress? Or would she oppose it, as unfairly singling out Muslims? The Hindus of India have never made those centuries of mass murder an international issue, the way Armenians did with their own genocide. Perhaps India should do so now, presenting the facts to a largely ignorant and startled world. Muslims were (there’s no getting around it, Ilhan Omar) responsible for those mass killings of Hindus, as they were responsible for the Arab Slave Trade, with more tens of millions – black Africans — dying as a result, and of course it was Muslim Turks who were responsible for the Armenian genocide, with 1.5 million victims. What member of Congress, possibly an Indian-American, will introduce a resolution about the murders of 70-80 million Hindus by Muslims? And what intrepid member of the Black Caucus will introduce a similar resolution recognizing the extent and effect of the Arab Slave Trade on black Africans? Or what member of Congress, black or white, will introduce another resolution, about not the past but the present, calling on the American government to end all aid to, and cooperation with, Mali, Mauritania, and Niger, until they free all of their black slaves? Such suggestions must fill Ilhan Omar with dread.



lhan Omar has shocked even her supporters with her vote of “Present” on the Armenian Genocide bill. They do not buy her argument that until all those other “genocides” (which she has either mischaracterized, or greatly exaggerated by orders of magnitude) committed by Americans are recognized by Congress, it’s not right to recognize the genocide by the Turks against the Armenians.



We all know that she voted “Present” on the resolution because the parties charged with the genocide were the Ottoman Turks, her fellow Muslims. Omar is not about to vote for any resolution that makes any group of Muslims sound bad. She’s not interested in the truth; she’s a Defender of the Faith. It’s good to have this so obviously out in the open, and her cynicism made crystal clear to her disappointed former supporters. Why, even Rashida Tlaib not only voted for the Resolution on the Armenian genocide, but was a co-sponsor of the bill. What does Tlaib now think of Omar? Perhaps some journalist can ask her about that. What do all those left-wing groups that supported the Armenian Genocide bill, from Human Rights Watch to the Southern Poverty Law Center, now think of their once-beloved Ilhan Omar? A little doubt at first, thence to more, as they learn about her killing store? Let’s hope she keeps it up, alienating former enthusiasts, so that at the next election, she can be sent back to Minneapolis with whatever husband/brother/father/boytoy she happens to have with her at the time.

Muslims commit 91 percent of honor killings worldwide. The Palestinian Authority gives pardons or suspended sentences for honor murders. Iraqi women have asked for tougher sentences for Islamic honor murderers, who get off lightly now. Syria in 2009 scrapped a law limiting the length of sentences for honor killings, but “the new law says a man can still benefit from extenuating circumstances in crimes of passion or honour ‘provided he serves a prison term of no less than two years in the case of killing.’” And in 2003 the Jordanian Parliament voted down on Islamic grounds a provision designed to stiffen penalties for honor killings. Al-Jazeera reported that “Islamists and conservatives said the laws violated religious traditions and would destroy families and values.”



Until the encouragement Islamic law gives to honor killing is acknowledged and confronted, more women will suffer.







“Double murder in Kottingbrunn: “Austro-Turk’ confesses,” translated from “Doppelmord in Kottingbrunn: ‘Austro-Türke’ geständig,” Wochenblick, October 27, 2019 (thanks to Searchlight Germany):





On Sunday, shortly before 9 o’clock in the morning, the alleged perpetrator himself called the emergency hotline. He had murdered his family. A large contingent of officials raced to the specified address. There was a shocking picture. A 31-year-old man, who according to the newspaper “Heute” had a Turkish immigrant background, had stabbed his wife and child. His second child survived, but is likely to be injured as well.



The crime occurred in a terraced house on Emmerich-Kalman-Gasse in Kottingbrunn, Lower Austria. There, the alleged perpetrator had murdered his 23-year-old wife and a two-year-old toddler with numerous stab wounds. The puncture and cut injuries were so severe that no medical help was possible. The father of the family tried to suffocate his little son, who is only 11 months old. He survived the act, but has had great problems breathing. He was taken to the hospital by emergency ambulance.



The 31-year-old “Austro-Turk” was arrested without resistance by the police. The history of the terrible relationship should be clarified in the next few hours and days….

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – A 79-year-old man preaching from the Bible on a subway was left beaten and bloodied by a woman who allegedly attacked him with a high heel shoe.



The violent attack was captured on video by riders on board a southbound 2-train nearing Times Square on Oct. 24.



Police sources tell CBS2 the unidentified woman walked up and confronted the elderly rider, began to scream and curse at the man, and then took her spiked stiletto heel and assaulted the 79-year-old.



The attack was so brutal it left the man with a gash in his head that took 30 stitches to close the wound. The 79-year-old man was left a bloody mess as fellow riders sat and watched the attack.



“He didn’t say anything to hurt anyone, he wasn’t even loud, you could barely hear him talk but this is what he got in return,” said Instagram user @f.u.n.m.i.k.e, who recorded the vicious assault and injuries suffered by the 79-year-old.



The woman reportedly fled the subway after bloodying her victim and police are still looking for the attacker.



The injured rider was taken to NYU Hospital for treatment and later released.

Western Connecticut State University (WCSU) has begun the hunt for a student who had the bravado to place political signs around campus. The signs should have been unremarkable, but instead, the university has told law enforcement to engage in a pursuit for the individual. Free speech is under attack in America.

DANBURY — Western Connecticut State University officials condemned the racist and sexist flyers found on campus on Thursday night.
One flyer said “It’s OK to be white,” while the other said “Islam is right about women,” according to the university’s spokesman. Photos of the flyers were sent to the FBI, spokesman Paul Steinmetz said.
John B. Clark, WCSU president, called the flyers “despicable and utterly unacceptable.”
“I am both shocked and immensely saddened about this sick and outrageous behavior, especially since our University has worked so hard to be a warm, diverse and caring community for all, no matter their race, color, gender, sexual orientation/identification, disability and age,” Clark said in a message to the university. “All members of our community should feel comfortable, safe and secure at the University. Indeed, we all should feel that WCSU is our second home.”
The flyers were found on sidewalks and lawns outside of Fairfield Hall, a residence hall, and taped to windows in Higgins Hall, a classroom building, Steinmetz said. 
The buildings are on the Midtown Campus.
The university is communicating frequently with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, 
the Connecticut State Police, and Danbury Police, Clark said. Surveillance cameras 
and interviews with possible witnesses are part of the investigation.
Clark said “outside agitators” could have spread the flyers, but students could be dismissed or face civil and criminal action if they are found responsible.
“Have no doubt that we are treating this as an attack on our University community and making every effort to see that those responsible are caught and properly punished,” he said. “I am fully committed to the absolutely necessary goal this does not happen again. We must be ever vigilant to protect our University against these hateful attacks.”

Before assuming the presidency of Western Connecticut State University, Dr. John B. Clark was the Acting University Executive Director of the City University of New York’s (CUNY) Office of Business and Industry Relations. Before joining CUNY, he was a visiting professor at Stony Brook University. Prior to that position, he was Interim Chancellor of the State University of New York (SUNY). During the course of his career at SUNY, Clark was the interim president of four of its colleges; Plattsburgh, Brockport, Alfred State and Optometry. He also served as Interim Vice Chancellor for Enrollment Management and University Life at SUNY System Administration.



Before joining SUNY, he worked as a Wall Street analyst and investment banker specializing in health and higher education for 18 years. He was named to the Institutional Investor’s All-American Research Team (honorable mention). Clark also held various positions in New York City and State government and is a Vietnam-era veteran who served with the 8th Infantry Division in Bad Kreuznach, West Germany.



Clark was co-editor of and contributor to “SUNY at Sixty: The Promise of the State University of New York”and author of a book review of Christopher Newfield’s “Unmaking the Public University” for the prestigious British journal “Nature.” He has delivered the annual Cardinal Newman lecture at the National University of Ireland (Maynooth) and spoke on Anglo-American comparative higher education at Wolfson College, Cambridge University.



Clark received his B.A. in History, cum laude, from Providence College, studied his junior year abroad at the University of Fribourg, Switzerland, and holds a MPA from the John Jay College of Criminal Justice (CUNY); M.A. in Economics from Fordham University, M.A. in Philosophy from New York University, and Doctorate in Education from Teachers College, Columbia University. His doctoral dissertation was on the works of the Blessed John Henry Cardinal Newman, author of the classic, “The Idea of A University.”

Slavery is acceptable in Islam. The Qur’an has Allah telling Muhammad that he has given him girls as sex slaves: “Prophet, We have made lawful to you the wives to whom you have granted dowries and the slave girls whom God has given you as booty.” (Qur’an 33:50)



Muhammad bought slaves: “Jabir (Allah be pleased with him) reported: There came a slave and pledged allegiance to Allah’s Apostle (may peace be upon him) on migration; he (the Holy Prophet) did not know that he was a slave. Then there came his master and demanded him back, whereupon Allah’s Apostle (may peace be upon him) said: Sell him to me. And he bought him for two black slaves, and he did not afterwards take allegiance from anyone until he had asked him whether he was a slave (or a free man).” (Muslim 3901)



Muhammad took female Infidel captives as slaves: “Narrated Anas: The Prophet offered the Fajr Prayer near Khaibar when it was still dark and then said, ‘Allahu-Akbar! Khaibar is destroyed, for whenever we approach a (hostile) nation (to fight), then evil will be the morning for those who have been warned.’ Then the inhabitants of Khaibar came out running on the roads. The Prophet had their warriors killed, their offspring and woman taken as captives. Safiya was amongst the captives. She first came in the share of Dahya Alkali but later on she belonged to the Prophet. The Prophet made her manumission as her ‘Mahr.’” (Bukhari 5.59.512) Mahr is bride price: Muhammad freed her and married her. But he didn’t do this to all his slaves:



Muhammad owned slaves: “Narrated Anas bin Malik: Allah’s Apostle was on a journey and he had a black slave called Anjasha, and he was driving the camels (very fast, and there were women riding on those camels). Allah’s Apostle said, ‘Waihaka (May Allah be merciful to you), O Anjasha! Drive around the streets of Kuwait and you won’t see these women. They are behind closed doors, deprived of their basic rights, unable to leave and at risk of being sold to the highest bidder.



But pick up a smartphone and you can scroll through thousands of their pictures, categorised by race, and available to buy for a few thousand dollars.



An undercover investigation by BBC News Arabic has found that domestic workers are being illegally bought and sold online in a booming black market.



Some of the trade has been carried out on Facebook-owned Instagram, where posts have been promoted via algorithm-boosted hashtags, and sales negotiated via private messages.



Other listings have been promoted in apps approved and provided by Google Play and Apple’s App Store, as well as the e-commerce platforms’ own websites.



“What they are doing is promoting an online slave market,” said Urmila Bhoola, the UN special rapporteur on contemporary forms of slavery.



“If Google, Apple, Facebook or any other companies are hosting apps like these, they have to be held accountable.”



After being alerted to the issue, Facebook said it had banned one of the hashtags involved.



Google and Apple said they were working with app developers to prevent illegal activity.



The illegal sales are a clear breach of the US tech firms’ rules for app developers and users.



However, the BBC has found there are many related listings still active on Instagram, and other apps available via Apple and Google….



Posing as a couple newly arrived in Kuwait, the BBC Arabic undercover team spoke to 57 app users and visited more than a dozen people who were trying to sell them their domestic worker via a popular commodity app called 4Sale.



The sellers almost all advocated confiscating the women’s passports, confining them to the house, denying them any time off and giving them little or no access to a phone.



The 4Sale app allowed you to filter by race, with different price brackets clearly on offer, according to category.



“African worker, clean and smiley,” said one listing. Another: “Nepalese who dares to ask for a day off.”



When speaking to the sellers, the undercover team frequently heard racist language. “Indians are the dirtiest,” said one, describing a woman being advertised.
Human rights violated



The team were urged by app users, who acted as if they were the “owners” of these women, to deny them other basic human rights, such as giving them a “day or a minute or a second” off.



One man, a policeman, looking to offload his worker said: “Trust me she’s very nice, she laughs and has a smiley face. Even if you keep her up till 5am she won’t complain.”



He told the BBC team how domestic workers were used as a commodity.



“You will find someone buying a maid for 600 KD ($2,000), and selling her on for 1,000 KD ($3,300),” he said.



He suggested how the BBC team should treat her: “The passport, don’t give it to her. You’re her sponsor. Why would you give her her passport?”…



Google said it was “deeply troubled by the allegations”.



“We have asked BBC to share additional details so we can conduct a more in-depth investigation,” it added. “We are working to ensure that the app developers put in place the necessary safeguards to prevent individuals from conducting this activity on their online marketplaces.”



Apple said it “strictly prohibited” the promotion of human trafficking and child exploitation in apps made available on its marketplace….

On Thursday, Nov. 14, 2019 from 10 am to 4 pm, there will be a gathering of families with vaccine injured children, doctors, lawmakers and civil and human rights activists at a rally on the National Mall in Washington, DC to raise awareness about the vaccine injury epidemic and honoring those who have been harmed. The Vaccine Injury Epidemic (VIE) rally is being organized by Crazymothers, a non-profit organization, and held on the 33rd anniversary of the enactment of the National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act of 1986 to highlight the “current epidemic of chronic health conditions, injuries and deaths from vaccination.”



The rally location on the National Mall is 9th St NW and Madison Dr. NW near the National History Museum and National Gallery of Art. From 10 to 11:30 am, there will be a pre-rally showing of excerpts from the new movie, VAXXED II “The People’s Truth,” shown on a big screen. The VAXXED bus, which traveled across America and has been signed by thousands of parents of vaccine injured children, will be there. The night before the rally, on Nov. 13, VAXXED II will have a screening in a Washington, DC theatre sponsored by the National Vaccine Information Center (NVIC).



From Noon to 4 pm, the Nov. 14 rally will include music performances, a memorial honoring those who have been injured or died after vaccinations, and 18 speakers. The speakers will focus on evidence for vaccine injury and death and institutional attempts to cover-up the vaccine injury epidemic that, in 2019, prompted “the biggest attack on our civil liberties, medical freedom, religion and parental rights but, most of all, our children.” Speakers include Crazymothers founder Hillary Simpson; National Vaccine Information Center (NVIC) co-founder and president Barbara Loe Fisher; Maine State Senators Heidi Sampson and Robert Foley; Children’s Health Defense (CHD) founder Robert F. Kennedy, Jr; Informed Consent Action Network (ICAN) founder Del Bigtree, and scientists, physicians, attorneys and parents of vaccine injured children.

DALLAS, Texas, October 31, 2019 (LifeSiteNews) – In the wake of the James Younger case, experts and children’s rights activists spoke to LifeSiteNews about the “devastation” of subjecting kids to transgenderism, warning that this phenomenon is a “social contagion” with horrible consequences.



“Many of us hope that this case will usher in a return to sanity, science, and medical ethics rooted in ‘first, do no harm,’” stated Dr. Michelle Cretella, Executive Director for the American College of Pediatricians (not to be confused with the left-wing American Academy of Pediatrics).  












“Physicians and therapists who embrace ‘transition’ for children promote a political agenda, not scientific advance,” she said. “This is obvious once the euphemisms are shed: gaslighting, chemical castration, and the surgical mutilation of children is not ‘therapy.’ Social and medical transition of children is cold, calculated, institutionalized child abuse at the hands of those charged with healing.”



Dr. Cretella highlighted the fear professionals have about speaking out against the transgender movement.



“As one liberal head of a department of psychology in the Northwest told me, ‘We know this is harmful [to kids], but to say so is career ending,’” Dr. Cretella told LifeSiteNews.



Dr. Andre Van Mol, the co-chair of the American College of Pediatricians’ Committee on Adolescent Sexuality, stressed that gender dysphoria is a “mental health diagnosis” and “transgenderism” is “an overarching ideology.”



“When we are speaking about children and gender dysphoria there are some principles to understand. For one, gender dysphoria is a mental health diagnosis as opposed to transgenderism actually being an overarching ideology.”



Medical “transitions” for children have not been studied by the FDA, nor is there enough research for professionals to understand all of its long-term impacts. 



“Any thought of ‘gender affirmation therapy’ for a minor is entirely experimental,” Van Mol told LifeSiteNews. 



He continued, “Shoving it on kids as though it is the way to go is not merited by the literature. And a lot of the literature that is out there [is] deeply flawed.”



There is also an ethical concern with completing a medical “transition,” according to Dr. Van Mol: “You are permanently medicalizing something that has an 85 percent rate of desistance based on a self diagnosis.”



Dr. Van Mol highlighted the underlying source of gender identity issues that are ignored when pursuing “gender affirming” therapy. 



“The overwhelming majority of these kids will have underlying mental health issues or neurodevelopmental disabilities. These are the things that should be addressed and the underlying problems don’t go away with so-called gender affirming therapy,” Van Mol shared.



‘Pre-teen brains are not developed enough to make irreversible decisions that include removing body parts…’



Katy Faust is the Founder and Director of Them Before Us, an organization committed to defending the rights of children in marriage and divorce. Faust, who was raised by lesbians, told LifeSiteNews she is hesitant to celebrate the ruling. 



“I will reserve my celebration until I see 18-year-old James intact and celebrating his male body,” she said. 



Faust said a core issue at play in this situation is the viewing of children as objects:





“The idea that adults have a right to a child even if it means violating that child’s right to be known by their biological mother treats children as an object from the moment of conception. It’s as if he exists to make the mother happy, despite the cost to his natural rights. It’s not a great leap to then believe that this child’s own body exists for the mother’s fulfillment, regardless of the costs to his long term health.”





James and his twin, Jude, were conceived via in-vitro fertilization using an egg donor.



“The outcry over the situation with James Younger deserves every bit of attention that it’s getting,” said Faust. “The devastation of transgender ‘treatments’ are finally being revealed through this tragic case, as is the push-and-pull that most children of divorce experience.”



Dr. Julie Hamilton, Ph.D., LMFT called gender “transitioning” a “social experiment.”



“Encouraging a child of any age to embrace a gender identity that is different from his or her biological sex is a social experiment which has not been proven through long-term studies to be healthy or effective. Furthermore, there is clear evidence that puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones pose serious health risks,” Dr. Hamilton told LifeSiteNews.



Dr. Hamilton, who has treated clients with gender identity issues, said that therapists need to understand the “underlying issues” of gender confusion.












“Therapists who assist children in becoming more comfortable with their biological sex usually seek to understand and address the underlying issues, helping to resolve the issues that are specific to that client. Family therapy is usually a part of the treatment as well.” 



“Some of the known risk factors for developing gender confusion include: parents wanting a child of the opposite sex; a child with a sensitive temperament, leading to interpretations of rejection,” said Dr. Hamilton, or “a poor relationship with the same-sex parent, poor relationships with same-sex peers, over-identification with members of the opposite sex, parental reinforcement of cross-gender behaviors, and sexual abuse.”



Mr. David Pickup, a therapist who operates the largest practice in Texas that almost exclusively helps patients deal with unwanted homosexuality and gender confusion, warned of the harm that can be done by “transitioning” children. 



“Pre-teen brains are not developed enough to make irreversible decisions that include removing body parts, and in the case of young children, taking puberty-blocking drugs that could be permanently harmful to them,” Pickup told LifeSiteNews.



With his clients, Pickup doesn’t focus on behavior “affirming” gender confusion, but looks at the source of the issue, which is typically trauma.



“First is always the foundational goal of the rise of the authentic self according to...what is best for the client, and which reflects sound research,” he said. “Other goals include healing the trauma of the terror, pain, and abandonment issues below the dysphoria, which leads automatically to the authentic self in which the client feels alive, centered, authentic, and happy within their own bodies.”



“Lack of confidence of the rights of one’s individuality is growing, as well as the belief that the government must always be right about gender/sexuality issues, which are leading to the demise of parental and individual rights,” Pickup warned.



Children are traumatized by divorce 



Pickup said there is a link between gender identity issues and the trauma of parents divorcing. He noted he has not met James, but commented that it is highly likely he is experiencing trauma from the divorce:





“It’s highly likely that the seven-year-old Younger child is experiencing detachment and trauma within this experience of the divorce of his mother and father. It is essential that this child receive therapy that increases the secure emotional attachment to his parents and therefore, eventually, to his authentic biological sex. In my experience, children will do anything, including being the gender that a parent wants them to be, in order to not feel abandoned by that parent. It’s likely that the Younger child is experiencing similar unresolved trauma.”





“At some subconscious level, all children are traumatized by divorce,” said Dr. Cretella. “Even when parents are abusive and legal separation is absolutely necessary, kids may still suffer depression, anxiety, and even blame themselves for the divorce.”



Dr. Van Mol pointed to the link between trauma and gender confusion as well as the link between divorce and rapid onset gender dysphoria: “The idea of the rapid onset gender dysphoria [is] that a girl in her midteens – her parents divorce or there is some kind of great family discord, and out of nowhere [she] announces to both parents, ‘oh, I am trans.’ It is a way of dealing with the pain and avoiding the negative emotions.” 



Dr. Van Mol is the father of two biological children. He fostered nine children, two of whom he also adopted.



“Foster kids tend to have a disproportionately high rate of gender dysphoria and I will just answer with of course, by definition, they all come from broken homes and every foster care is a broken home,” he said. “You could say that about any human being, but because of where they came from they are particularly hurt and so they are particularly vulnerable to this kind of ideology.”



Mr. Pickup also stated that the “breakup of the secure family system” is a common underlying factor that leads to gender identity issues in his patients.



“Another factor is the breakup of the secure family system, which has been the foundation of western civilization for eons, and the growing belief of parents and society that a one-parent home is always just as fulfilling as a binary-gender two-parent home.”



The prevalence of individuals who identify themselves as transgender has been rapidly rising over the last 10 years. Dr. Van Mol calls it a “social contagion.”



“The prevalence of it should be relatively infinitesimal. According to the literature it [the prevalence] is thousandths of a percent, yet in the past year among American young people, up to two percent self-identify as possibly transgender-identifying. Something changed and it obviously wasn’t biology or genetics. I think this is starting to move like a social contagion. It's the ‘cool thing,’” Dr. Van Mol told LifeSiteNews.



Dr. Cretella told LifeSiteNews that the increase in transgenderism among youth is linked to social forces, including social media and political activism. 



“The incidence and prevalence of transgenderism among youth, especially girls, has skyrocketed for many reasons, including cultural indoctrination via mass media, social media, and schools in the wake of adult transgender political activism,” Dr. Cretella told LifeSiteNews.

American Library Association Pushing Perversion Through Drag Queen Story Hour

The ALA has partnered up with the anti-Christian bigots of the Southern Poverty Law Center to promote the latest LGBTQ agenda item: sex perverts for tots.



OK, kiddies, say so long to Dr. Seuss, Mother Goose, and Peter Rabbit. And say hello to Sparkle Boy, Jacob’s New Dress, My Princess Boy, The Dragtivity Book, and Heather Has Two Mommies.



It’s Drag Queen Story Hour time! And, as a special treat, we have some big, hairy men with beards and mustaches in sequined gowns and some girlie men in fishnet stockings and mini-skirts to read these fun, transformative stories to you. What’s more, they may sprinkle you with magic glitter, blow bubbles at you, lead you in a “gay” songfest, and even let you crawl all over them. Sounds super-fun, right?



Yes, what a short time ago would have been unthinkable, absurd, even criminal, has now become a commonplace occurrence in "woke" cities, towns, and hamlets all across America. How has it happened that Drag Queen Story Hours (DQSHs) have suddenly popped up all across the landscape like mushrooms after a rain? There’s really no mystery about it. The DQSHs are not spontaneously-grown, natural, organic mushrooms; they’re toxic toadstools intentionally planted by sexual predators and the cultural subversives who promote and assist them.



Incredibly, in an era in which all teachers, counselors, coaches, pastors, and almost all adults working with young children are required to undergo background checks, our public libraries and schools have given a free pass to some of the most obvious sex deviants to enable their free access to toddlers.



Among the foremost promoters of this toxic toadstool cult is the American Library Association (ALA), aided by “progressives” and LGBTQ activists posing as journalists in the Fake News Media. And (no surprise) the hateful millionaire LGBTQ cry-bullies at the Southern Poverty Law Center are helping provide critical cover, smearing parents who oppose this outrageous scheme as being transphobic neo-Nazis and white supremacists.



Parents, grandparents, pastors, and concerned citizens have been dumbfounded, not only by the brazenness of this latest all-out assault on decency, but even more so by the adamant defense of the indefensible by librarians, school officials, city councilmen, and local media. It’s become painfully obvious that the Drag Queen Story Hour is a well-planned, carefully-orchestrated offensive, one in which the LGBTQ Mafia has coordinated its moves with its political and media allies.



Make Them “Own It”!



However, the outraged parents, grandparents, pastors, and concerned citizens are fighting back, undaunted by the smears and name-calling. And, as more and more Drag Queen “performers” are outed as convicted sex criminals, it is now the DQSH perpetrators and promoters who are being put on the defensive.



As The New American reported in August (“Drag”ing Kids Into the LGBTQ Abyss), the coverage of the DQSH controversy in the “mainstream” media has been almost universally sympathetic to the crossdressing deviants. “Thus it was telling (though hardly surprising) that when real news broke about one of the much-hyped drag queen stars being a convicted child sex offender, the media cheerleading section went mostly mum,” we reported. “It turns out that 32-year-old registered sex offender Alberto Garza, who participated in the Houston Drag Queen Story Hour under the name Tatiana Mala Niña (Tatiana ‘Bad Girl’), was convicted in 2009 of aggravated sexual assault of an eight-year-old child. He is a ‘Bad Girl’ indeed! Now, might that possibly be of interest to parents, grandparents, and, well, anyone committed to the safety of children? One might suppose so. After all, isn’t ‘child safety’ one of the arguments put forward for the story hour by the program’s proponents?”



“So how did the truth about Garza/Mala Niña’s criminal sexcapades reach the light of day?” we asked. “Was it the library, the city government, the police department, or the local or national media that discovered and exposed this pertinent fact? The answer: None of the above.”



No, as we noted, “Bad Girl” Garza was exposed thanks to the determined efforts of the dads and moms at Houston MassResistance, a Texas affiliate of the national pro-family group MassResistance based in Massachusetts. MassResistance then exposed another Houston DQSH convicted sex offender, William Travis Dees, who, among his various pervert personas, dresses as a mock Catholic nun in the obscene and sacriligeous Drag group “Space Sisters.”



The good folks at MassResistance have continued to expose the criminal degeneracy and child endangerment inherent in the ongoing Drag Queen Story Hour travesty. The librarians and city officials in Austin, like those in Houston, have been caught red-handed. MassResistance revealed the court records of David Lee Richardson, aka “Miss Kitty Litter,” an Austin DQSH performer. Richardson had been previously arrested and convicted of offering sex for money — prostitution. What’s more, they compiled a 135-page report documenting Richardson’s incredibly vile social media postings, many of which would fit into a triple-X rating. One of his postings shows a personalized license plate that reads, “ILUV-ANL.” Another posting shows him in leather and handcuffs promoting BDSM (Bondage, Domination, Sado-Masochism), with the following quote: "Sticks and stones may break my bones but Chains and Whips excite me." As should be obvious to any reasonable adult, introducing young children to sadomasochist practitioners is not only to endanger them morally and psychologically, but physically as well.



Undoubtedly, the criminal records of DQSH kiddie “entertainers” exposed thus far by MassResistance researchers are just the tip of the iceberg. Where is the due diligence on the part of the public officials and journalists who are promoting this perverse onslaught? Many, if not all of these “performers,” have Web pages and social media accounts that are readily accessible for anyone willing to check them out.  These individuals are narcissistic exhibitionists. They flaunt their aberrant and disgusting proclivities. Some of them have literally hundreds of raunchy photos and videos of themselves in their various drag outfits. It should not be necessary to produce an actual arrest record or conviction to disqualify them as “models” for our children; their narcissistic obsession and degenerate activities should make them abhorrent to all but the most morally bankrupt. The library officials, politicians, and media mavens who support this depravity must be made to “own” the full consequences of this assault on morality.



MassResistance is doing precisely that. It is holding them accountable by exposing the true, sordid nature of the DQSH and its dissolute storytellers. In Houston, public officials who had gushed over Drag Queens were forced to publicly apologize and admit they had failed to conduct even the most elementary screening of their DQSH performers prior to unleashing them on the unsuspecting community and innocent children.



In Chula Vista, California, a MassResistance chapter and local churches went to bat against Drag Queen Story Hour at the local public library. City Councilor Steven Padilla, who is openly “gay,” attacked the Christian opponents of the perverse program as being part of a group (i.e., MassResistance) that “promotes anti-immigrant and white-supremacist beliefs.” He provided no evidence to back up the defamatory claim — because there is none. He was merely regurgitating bile spewing from the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), which has grown obscenely wealthy by peddling the race card and demonizing Christian, conservative, patriotic, pro-life, and pro-family groups and individuals. The Center has also spread hate and violence while claiming to oppose both.



SPLC/ALA's Putrid Pipeline



One of the most notorious examples of SPLC hate-inspired violence is the case of the near deadly shooting attack on the Washington, D.C headquarters office of the Family Research Council (FRC). The intended killer, Floyd Lee Corkins, who said he wanted to kill everyone he could at the Christian group’s offices, later told FBI agents that his attack was inspired by information he got from the SPLC that identified FRC as an anit-LGBTQ “hate group.” The FRC released a video with clips that shows Corkins shooting building manager Leo Johnson. Corkins said that “I wanted to kill the people in the building and then smear a Chick-fil-A sandwich in their face ... to kill as many people as I could.”



The anti-Christian extremists at the Southern Poverty Law Center also seem to have an inordinate influence at the American Library Association. The ALA website has multiple explicit references to the Center and many additional statements, resolutions, and policies that employ almost verbatim the SPLC’s malicious accusations against individuals and groups that stand against the “progressive” agenda championed by the SPLC. A division of the ALA, the Association for Library Service to Children (ALSC), for instance, published “Countering Hate in Schools,” in which it reports: “The ALSC Board recently voted to sign on with the Southern Poverty Law Center and 20 other education advocacy groups to counter hate in American schools. The coalition is committed to providing resources and support so schools may effectively respond to hateful acts and create learning environments where every student feels welcome.”



The ALA’s webpage, “Hate Groups and Violence in Libraries,” reads as if it were written by the SPLC’s LGBTQ activists (which it very likely was), and it specifically links to the SPLC’s notorious “Hate Map” that maliciously equates Christian conservatives with the KKK and neo-Nazis.



The ALA’s Disgusting Dragline



MassResistance has nailed the American Library Association in its recent report entitled “What you need to know about the ‘Drag Queen’ indoctrination of children in your public libraries.” The pro-family organization charges that “the American Library Association is the radical force behind the scenes across the country.”



When it comes to the very controversial Drag Queen Story Hour issue, there is little doubt as to where the ruling faction of the ALA stands; it has linked arms with the radical LGBTG lobby, regardless of the growing pushback from parents and taxpayers. In “Libraries Respond: Drag Queen Story Hour,” the ALA states: “Many libraries across the country have been hosting or participating in Drag Queen Story Hours. A few have experienced pushback from some members of their community. To support libraries facing challenges we have established this collection of resources. We will continue to add to it and welcome your contributions. ALA, through its actions and those of its members, is instrumental in creating a more equitable, diverse, and inclusive society. This includes a commitment to combating marginalization and underrepresentation within the communities served by libraries through increased understanding of the effects of historical exclusion.”



To demonstrate this commitment, the Association's website directs readers to the “ALA Resources - Toolkits & Best Practices,” under which we find:

Paula White, a televangelist based in Florida and personal pastor to President Trump whom he has known since 2002, has joined the Trump administration in an official capacity, according to a White House official.



Ms. White will work in the Office of Public Liaison, the official said, which is the division of the White House overseeing outreach to groups and coalitions organizing key parts of the president’s base. Her role will be to advise the administration’s Faith and Opportunity Initiative, which Mr. Trump established last year by executive order and which aims to give religious groups more of a voice in government programs devoted to issues like defending religious liberty and fighting poverty.



As Mr. Trump campaigns for a second term, he cannot afford to lose support from the religious conservatives who voted for him in 2016 in significant numbers. Without their backing, his path to re-election would be significantly narrower.

U.S.A. –-(Ammoland.com)- The chairman of the Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms came out swinging against Capitol Hill Democrats, alleging there is a “hidden agenda” behind the long-running effort to impeach President Donald Trump, and it is to derail efforts to confirm pro-Second Amendment judges to the federal courts.





“It is clear to us that Capitol Hill anti-gunners are doing everything in their power to prevent confirmation of conservative judges who will adhere to the Constitution,” said CCRKBA Chairman Alan Gottlieb. “By burdening the Senate with this nonsense, Democrats believe they can prevent confirmation of pro-Second Amendment judicial nominees during the final year of President Donald Trump’s first term.”



 In a prepared statement Friday, the veteran gun rights advocate noted, “The same people pushing impeachment have been staunch allies of the gun prohibition lobby.”









Almost from the moment Trump took the oath of office in January 2017, Democrats have been talking about impeachment. Unable to accept the results of the 2016 election, which pundits had literally declared a shoo-in victory for Hillary Rodham Clinton, the far left has been dogging Trump, attempting all sorts of distractions relating to immigration, trade negotiations, terrorism, building “The Wall” and gun control.



The effort to prevent Judge Brett Kavanaugh from ascending to the U.S. Supreme Court was considered by many an illustration of how far anti-gunners would go to keep a conservative off the high court bench.



On July 5, 2018, Everytown for Gun Safety, the Michael Bloomberg-backed gun prohibition lobbying group, sent an e-mail blast decrying the president’s opportunity to fill the Supreme Court vacancy, asserting another conservative justice “could spell trouble for the gun violence prevention movement.”



PBS reported recently, “A federal judiciary that is becoming increasingly conservative under President Donald Trump and the Republican-controlled U.S. Senate has gun control advocates on edge. They worry that federal courts, especially if Trump wins a second term next year and Republicans hold the Senate, will take such an expansive view of Second Amendment rights that they might overturn strict gun control laws enacted in Democratic-leaning states.”



Since taking office, the president’s nominees have filled more than 150 federal court vacancies and two slots on the Supreme Court. As noted by Adam Winkler at the University of California, Los Angeles School of Law in an interview with PBS, “Those judges are likely to be hostile to gun-control measures. So I think the courts overall have made a shift to the right on guns. We’ll just have to see how that plays out.”



But anti-gun Democrats in the House and in the Senate don’t want this to play out any more than it has, Gottlieb is suggesting.



“Anti-gunners have been horrified since Day One of Donald Trump’s presidency,” Gottlieb contends, “that he was actually determined to rein in the activist federal court system by nominating judges who understand there are ten amendments in the Bill of Rights, and that the Second Amendment really means what it says.”



Just how far Capitol Hill anti-gunners will go was best illustrated earlier this year when Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse (D-R.I.) authored a rather threatening brief to the Supreme Court regarding a New York gun law challenge scheduled to be heard next month. Whitehouse was joined by Democratic Sens. Mazie Hirono (Hawaii), Richard Blumenthal (Conn.) Richard J. Durbin (Ill.) and Kirsten Gillibrand (N.Y.) on this amicus in the case of New York State Rifle and Pistol Association v. City of New York.



That’s the case challenging a restrictive gun law that was so egregious the city actually scrambled to change the regulation in an attempt to moot the case. Under that law, licensed handgun owners in the city could not travel with their sidearms outside the city limits for any reason. They couldn’t go to a training course, on a hunting trip, to compete in an event or on vacation for personal protection.



As noted by a report on PBS News Hour, anti-gunners have not been successful in their efforts.



“The House impeachment inquiry has brought most legislative work in Congress to a halt, except for one issue — judicial nominations,” PBS reported recently. “Despite the turmoil surrounding the impeachment process, Senate Republicans have continued making steady progress filling the federal bench, bolstering President Donald Trump’s record on what is regarded as a key issue for Republican voters, and one that could play a significant role in the upcoming presidential election.”



Gottlieb said as much in his statement.





“The president has been filling court vacancies with solid, intelligent jurists who understand the difference between regulated privileges and constitutionally-enumerated, fundamental rights,” the CCRKBA chair observed. “Capitol Hill anti-gunners and their gun prohibitionist friends can’t stand it, and they’re using the impeachment crusade as a smoke screen to distract the Senate from doing its duty.”





The job of bringing balance to the federal courts is not yet finished, according to Gottlieb. He maintains contact with the White House, and is confident that the president’s effort to balance the court will continue.



As he said in the Friday statement, “This isn’t about impeaching the president. This is about impeaching our Second Amendment rights. I guarantee that American gun owners are going to remember this in 2020.”

In the last 48 hours there have been two big Vatican stories. First, revelations about the Holy See’s financial crisis; second, and more bizarrely, a furious dispute over statues being thrown into the Tiber. But really it’s all one story, the big story of contemporary Catholicism: a disastrous failure of leadership at the top of the Church.





Vatican finances may not usually be a subject to set the pulse racing, but the last month has been dramatic: Vatican police raided offices and confiscated computers, after finding — to quote a leaked search decree — “serious indications of embezzlement, fraud, abuse of office, money-laundering, and self-laundering.” Other leaks suggested that as much as $560 million of Catholics’ donations to the Vatican were invested in speculative deals that Vatican investigators described as “reckless.” The pattern, even at this early stage of the inquiry, is familiar: The faithful have trusted a leadership class that has done little to deserve their trust.



Indeed, donations are already falling — partly because of the abuse crisis, where once again the Vatican has been less than transparent. In 2017 it emerged that Pope Francis had reduced sanctions against some abusers. Then last year, the Vatican’s former ambassador to the U.S. made a set of spectacular accusations, claiming there had been a concerted effort, featuring many senior figures up to and including the pope, to protect Cardinal Theodore McCarrick from numerous allegations of abuse. A letter from the Catholic Women’s Forum, bearing almost 50,000 signatures, asked for a Vatican response to the ambassador’s claims. None came.



Silence and confusion have recently become Vatican trademarks, not least where doctrinal questions are concerned. For instance, an ambiguous papal document was used to claim that the Church now blesses divorce and remarriage; instead of clarifying that the Church could never do so, the Vatican allowed the confusion to grow, and when the pope did speak, he piled ambiguity on ambiguity.



Something similar happened with the female statues that ended up in the Tiber. On October 4, versions of these statues were used during a ceremony in the Vatican gardens to mark the start of a synod (meeting of bishops) on the Amazon region. As the pope looked on, the participants knelt and bowed before the statues. Cue two weeks of debate. Were they, as critics suggested, offering a kind of pagan worship to Mother Earth — or were they, as the statues’ defenders argued, paying an Amazon-flavored homage to the Virgin Mary? Only the Vatican could have given a full answer. But there was no explanation before or during the ceremony; when journalists requested one, they got a series of contradictory, sometimes maddeningly vague, answers. Meanwhile, versions of the statues have been paraded through St Peter’s Basilica, prominently displayed in the synod hall, and exhibited in a well-known Roman church — from which, in the early hours of yesterday morning, they were removed and hurled into the river. Things only reached this stage because the Vatican, in response to the sincere anxiety of many Catholics, refused to clarify what was going on.



But the Vatican isn’t always characterized by silence and inaction. Much of the time there is a frenzy for change, the ecclesiastical equivalent of a midlife crisis in which a man abandons his family, leaves the country, and tries to reinvent his personality from scratch. Out goes the Vatican’s cautious diplomacy and witness to human dignity; in comes an inexplicable desire to flatter Chinese dictator Xi Jinping, with one senior official declaring that “right now, those who are best implementing the social doctrine of the Church are the Chinese.” (Not a word on the Chinese government’s Uyghur internment camps.) Distinguished cardinalsare removed without explanation, while newcomers are rapidly promoted only to fall from grace for offenses such as plagiarism and photo-doctoring. One of Rome’s great theological schools, the John Paul II Institute, is gutted and the faculty replaced with fresh faces, some of whom are best-known for attacking Catholic doctrine.



And now, at the Amazon synod, there is another push for “reform,” inspired by radical theologians such as Bishop Fritz Lobinger. Under Lobinger’s scheme, outlined in a 1998 book, Catholics will no longer be chiefly served by seminary-trained priests; instead, every parish will be crowded with part-time clergy. “The word ‘priest’ will be nothing special,” Lobinger fantasized, “because there will be so many priests — the bus-driver, the bank-teller, the postmaster, the butcher.” For Lobinger and his ilk, women priests are a good idea, but the main thing is to reconstruct the priesthood and the sacraments. Figures such as Bishop Erwin Kräutler — a Lobinger fan, and an outspoken critic of Church teaching — are highly influential at the synod and propose, as a first step toward more revolutionary changes, the ordination of married men. If the synod does suggest such a move, it would be another episode that would test the loyalty of Catholics.



Saint Robert Bellarmine, one of the giants of Catholic theology, observed that Catholics might end up having to “resist” a pope. Nobody, Bellarmine wrote, can “judge, punish, or depose” the pontiff: Catholics must acknowledge him as their lawful superior. But it may, in extraordinary circumstances, be right “to resist him, by . . . hindering the execution of his will.” Bellarmine was speaking theoretically. But for many Catholics, it is becoming a very practical distinction.

Socialist Bernie Sanders just endorsed the bleeding-heart candidate for San Francisco District Attorney who makes President Obama’s Attorney General, Eric Holder, look like Sheriff Joe Arpaio.



Meet Chesa Boudin. He’s the Bay Area public defender and former shill/translator for the late Venezuelan dictator Hugo Chavez who plans to turn the craphole of San Francisco into an even bigger sanctuary for the homeless, drug abusers, illegal immigrants, gangsters, vandals, thieves, recidivist criminals and cop-haters than it is already. Boudin leads a spooky field of left-lefter-leftists running for DA on the Nov. 5 ballot.



The cornerstone of Boudin’s campaign is sabotaging immigration enforcement. He has called for prosecution and imprisonment of ICE and police officers for doing their jobs and vowed to create an “immigrant defense unit” within the DA’s office to “stand up to Trump on immigration.”



While American veterans beg for money on San Francisco’s feces-clogged street corners, Boudin will instead subsidize “universal legal representation” for illegal immigrants facing deportation.



While American angel families are denied standing in American courts to sue the sanctuary outlaws whose policies enabled criminals in this country illegally to injure, rape or murder their loved ones, Boudin will “help every single immigrant victim of every crime obtain a U-Visa.”



Boudin’s campaign tagline claims he wants to build a criminal justice system “for everyone, not just the wealthy and well-connected.” The chutzpah. It burns.



Well-connected? Boudin has been endorsed by a who’s who of far-left celebrities, from Sanders to Hamas-linked “Women’s March” co-founder Linda Sarsour to Black Lives Matter hate crime hoax propagandist Shaun King to radical Chicago DA and Jussie Smollett fixer Kim Foxx to Black Panther Party commie revolutionary Angela Davis.



Wealthy? Boudin is the top fundraiser in the San Francisco DA’s race, raking in more than $623,000 in donations this year — a significant chunk from out-of-state academics, entertainment industry executives, and East Coast lawyers in New York and D.C. I discovered from Boudin’s most recent campaign finance disclosures that one of his top donors is Chloe Cockburn. She is a prominent partner of globalist billionaire George Soros’ Democracy Alliance. Cockburn moderated a crucial 2017 summit with Soros and other deep-pocketed liberal philanthropists to strategize on taking over local and state offices to reclaim “our progressive future.” Other bigwig Boudin donors hail from the Soros-allied Tides Foundation and Soros-funded Brennan Center for Justice.



What makes Boudin especially toxic is his family tree. Boudin is the militant offspring of spoiled-rich radicals Kathy Boudin and David Gilbert, members of the violent Weather Underground terrorist group, which bombed government buildings and corporate headquarters, aided convicted felons in jailbreaks and participated in a 1981 Brink’s armored car holdup in Nyack, New York, with the Black Liberation Army. That crime took the lives of three innocent Americans — police officers Edward O’Grady and Waverly Brown and private security guard Peter Paige.



Kathy Boudin was an 11-year fugitive from justice after an accidental homemade bomb explosion at her New York City townhouse resulted in three other deaths. At the time of her arrest in Nyack, Boudin gave police one of many false identities she had used to evade the law. She was paroled in 2003 after convincing parole board members that she acted nobly out of “white guilt” to protest racism against blacks. (Reality check: Officer Waverly Brown was a black, working-class military veteran.) Gilbert remains in prison. Their story was glorified and romanticized by Robert Redford in the 2013 movie, “The Company You Keep.”



After Kathy Boudin dropped off toddler Chesa at a babysitter’s house so she could help perpetrate the bloody $1.6 million Brink’s heist, this privileged elitist was adopted by another pair of America-hating domestic agitators, unrepentant Weathermen colleagues Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn. Ayers celebrated bombing the Pentagon in his radical memoir, “Fugitive Days,” taught at the University of Illinois in Chicago, and mentored Barack Obama. Dohrn declared war on “AmeriKKKa,” helped stage the “Days of Rage” in Chicago, when Weathermen blew up a memorial statue to police officers and rioted violently, leaving 75 policemen wounded and one permanently injured in a wheelchair, and then spent years as a fugitive from justice before settling into a comfy post as former director of the Legal Clinic’s Children and Family Justice Center at Northwestern University.



Steeped in Marxist ideology and self-pity, Boudin moaned to The New York Times that he was “sad that my parents have to suffer what they have to suffer on a daily basis” because they were “dedicated to fighting U.S. imperialism around the world.” No compassion for the families of the officers his parents helped murder, but the Yale grad and Rhodes Scholar did earn praise for his crusades against “urban misery in Bolivia, homelessness in Santiago and illiteracy in Guatemala.”



Now Boudin wants to avenge his cop-killing parents by imposing “restorative justice” and “decarceration” policies that will incentivize violent crime and endanger lives in San Francisco and beyond. If you think California is on fire now, just wait until this red diaper baby takes control of the prosecutorial wheel.

Addressing a meeting of the left-wing J Street, a Jewish organization devoted to pressuring Israel to meet Palestinian demands, Bernie Sanders outdid himself:



“My solution is to say to Israel: you get $3.8 billion dollars every year, if you want military aid you’re going to have to fundamentally change your relationship to the people of Gaza,” Sanders said. “In fact, I think it is fair to say that some of that should go right now into humanitarian aid in Gaza.



Sanders denounced the situation in Gaza as “absolutely inhumane,” “unacceptable,” and “unsustainable.”



“The Palestinian people have a right to live in peace and security as well. It is not anti-Semitism to say that Netanyahu’s government has been racist,” Sanders continued.



If the situation in Gaza is “absolutely inhumane,” “unacceptable,” and “unsustainable,” as Bernie seems to think – it’s not nearly that dire — that is due entirely to the corrupt lords of misrule in Hamas, whose top leaders have stolen up to $7.5 billion of that aid (see the discussion below) and spend what is left not on things which benefit the people of Gaza, such as residential housing, power plants, and water treatment plants, but on amassing an expensive armory of rockets to use against Israel.



It is up to the Palestinians in Gaza to chose whether to live in “peace and security.” It is they who have been making war, while Israel is only responding to their attacks. Israel has been the target of thousands of Hamas rockets, not the other way round. Israel never initiates attacks; it responds to them. Israel wants nothing more than to live, with its neighbors in Gaza, in “peace and security,” but it has discovered that the only way to end the attacks from Gaza is to respond with decisive force. This buys a certain period of “peace and security,” then the Gazans renew their rocket attacks; Israel again responds; the Gazan rockets again stop being sent into Israel, and “peace and security” is again reestablished, until the next time Hamas decides to break both the peace and the security.



How has Netanyahu’s government “been racist”? Presumably by defending itself against Hamas, the terrorist group that runs Gaza, when it sends rockets by the hundreds into Israeli civilian centers, or lets loose incendiary kites to set Israeli farms on fire, or attempt to breach Israel’s security fence, with Molotov cocktails, grenades, and sometimes live fire, in order to kill Israeli soldiers and civilians? In attempting to defend itself from those who attack it and call for its destruction, is Israel being “racist’? The only “racism” is that directed by the Muslims at the Jews, all Jews, and not just those in Israel. Hamas has repeatedly called on Palestinians to kill all Jews. This past summer, Hamas official Fathi Hamad told Palestinians that “there are Jews everywhere! We must attack every Jew on planet Earth — we must slaughter and kill them, with Allah’s help. Enough warming up!” Is Sanders familiar with Hamas’s murderous rhetoric? Does he know of any Israeli who talks about Palestinians in such a way? Does he know that Fath Hamad’s virulent Jew-hatred can also be found on Palestinian children’s shows, and in Palestinian textbooks?



And when Sanders attacks the “racist” Israelis, he overlooks how Arabs fare in Israel. Does he realize that Israeli Arabs serve in the Knesset, on the Supreme Court, as senior diplomats, even – as volunteers – in the IDF, where they rise high in the officer corps? Does he know that Arabs study at Israeli universities, that in Israeli hospitals Jewish and Arab doctors and other medical personnel work side by side treating both Jewish and Arab patients? Does he know that Arabs and Jews work together in factories, on farms, in service industries? And all this in “racist” Israel.



Sanders appears not to realize that Israel does not occupy Gaza; that not a single Israeli has remained there since the final pullout in 2005. Nor does he mention – does he know and not think it matters? — that Gaza is run by Hamas, a terrorist organization which has sent thousands of rockets indiscriminately into Israel. Even the left-wing Human Rights Watch and Amnesty International have both defined these Hamas attacks as “war crimes.” Hamas is murderous not just towards Israelis, but toward its Arab opponents as well; it has crushed Fatah in Gaza, killing hundreds of its members.



Israel’s blockade of Gaza is only a response to Hamas attacks. It is mainly directed at preventing construction material, such as concrete and iron, from being imported into Gaza, that can be used to reinforce Hamas military emplacements. Is Sanders aware that Israel allows fuel into Gaza precisely, as one Israeli spokesman said, to “prevent the civilian-humanitarian deterioration of the Strip”? Is he aware that Israel also allows humanitarian agencies to provide Gaza with millions of liters of diesel fuel and gasoline, fruits and vegetables, wheat, sugar, meat, chicken and fish products, dairy products, animal feed, hygiene products, clothing and shoes? Somehow one doubts that Bernie Sanders has been paying attention. And of course Gazans who cannot find suitable medical care in the Strip are allowed to use Israeli hospitals. Among them have been the relatives of several Hamas leaders, including Ismael Haniyeh and Khaled Meshaal, who have sought and been given treatment in Israel – that, too, would surely come as a surprise to Bernie Sanders.



The true enemy of the people of Gaza are not the Israelis. When they left Gaza, they handed over the greenhouses, then worth $14 million, that Israelis had built, as part of a thriving multi-million- dollar business in flowers that, it was hoped by Israel, could eventually bring the Gazans as much as $200 million in income. Israel had assumed the Gazan Arabs would continue to operate and expand the business, but instead, the Arabs destroyed the greenhouses completely, grabbing irrigation hoses, water pumps, and plastic sheeting in a blow to this fledgling efforts to reconstruct the Gaza Strip.



Israeli employers have also given work to tens of thousands of Gazans, both in Gaza and in Israel itself. In response to Hamas rocket attacks, some of those who used to travel to Israel for work can no longer do so. Should Israel then be blamed for taking such security measures?



Hamas has organized the “Great March of Return,” which every Friday since March 2018 sends Palestinians marching toward Israel’s security fence, to attempt to breach it in order to kill Israeli soldiers and civilians. It is the Palestinians who are attempting to attack Israelis in their own land; Israel has merely been defending its security fence. The Palestinians throw Molotov cocktails, grenades, incendiary kites, and sometimes use live fire. Meanwhile, the Israeli soldiers first use tear gas and rubber bullets, to head off the rioters, and if that doesn’t deter sufficiently, they use live fire, ordinarily aiming at the legs and then, and only as a last resort, when some rioters have actually breached the fence, they will aim above the waist. One Muslim migrant from Syria was graphic. Aballah Nooman from Belgium stated: “I want to leave the prison and go back home to my family..… I want to go back to Britain…My organs are spilling out.” He was referring to “an open wound he said he sustained from a fellow jihadist who accidentally shot him while cleaning his weapon.” We also know that jihadists have infiltrated the refugee stream, and that Western countries have been losing track of migrants; that is no surprise, given the size of the influx.



All of a sudden, jihadists call the West “home” when they find themselves in a dreadful bind, as Nooman and many others do. They do not ever regard the Western countries that once nurtured them as home, but instead, as part of the House of War to be conquered. They see the West as enemy territory and tell lies when it suits them, because they know that social justice warriors — whom they deem to be inferior and stupid — will believe their lies and advocate for them. They know that these same social justice warriors will be fixated on them rather than on the innocent victims whom they viciously abused and murdered. And they are right. They also know that they will continue their jihad against the West once they are allowed back in, and they will spread whatever diseases they carry.

Diseased and wounded Islamic State terrorists under Kurdish custody in Syria are requesting to be returned home to the West, the Agence-France Presse (AFP) reported on Tuesday.



Among the aforementioned Islamic terrorists are persons infected with HIV/AIDS and hepatitis, according to the AFP. Some injured terrorists “have “organs spilling out of open wounds,” AFP noted.



The AFP was granted access to the Kurdish-run detention facility in Hasakeh, a city in northern Syria.



Among the detained Islamic terrorists are teenagers and men who, according to Kurdish sources, represent over 50 nationalities.



According to Kurdish forces, the final territorial remnant of ISIS’s Islamic “caliphate” in eastern Syria was liberated in March when approximately 2,000 ISIS jihadists surrendered to the Syrian Democratic Forces, a U.S.-allied coalition largely made up of Kurdish fighters.



Since stripping ISIS of its control of its “capital” Raqqa in 2018 with the help of U.S. air support, Syrian Democratic Forces have continued in intermittent conflict with remaining jihadis still present there. Those under custody in northwest Syrian Kurdistan (Rojava) are demanding to go back to the nations they abandoned to join the establishment of the caliphate.



“I want to leave the prison and go back home to my family. … I want to go back to Britain,” said 22-year-old Aseel Mathan.



“My organs are spilling out,” said Aballah Nooman, a Belgian national, who lifted his shirt to reveal an open wound he said he sustained from a fellow jihadist who accidentally shot him while cleaning his weapon.

A Texas school district board has unanimously approved a proposal to introduce transgender education for children as young as 8-years-old.



The Austin Independent School District rubber stamped the new curriculum, which will for the first time will see students taught about “gender identity and sexual orientation.”



“The lessons will also help kids identify an adult they can trust; plus talk to them about options if they get pregnant, and seventh graders would learn how to use a condom,” reports KXAN.







The curriculum is being described as “controversial” given that it will teach children as young as eight about gay anal sex and transgender identities.



Two groups held dueling rallies outside the school district headquarters, including Informed Parents of Austin, a group which seeks to prevent “bullying” and enforce “equality” within the school district.



The usual answer to this kind of story is ‘homeschool your kids,’ but similar things are being inserted into homeschooling curriculums too.



Over in the UK, efforts to introduce similar LGBT curriculums into schools have been met with fierce protests, almost exclusively from Muslim parents.

AUSTIN, Texas, October 31, 2019 (LifeSiteNews) – Despite heavy turnout from parents opposed to the plan, the Austin Independent School District voted Tuesday to approve a sex education curriculum that calls for teaching children as early as third grade how to engage in sodomy and put on condoms, that gender is “non-binary,” and more.



As detailed by Texas Values, the curriculum discourages gender-specific language like “mother” and “father” because it “can limit [children’s] understanding of gender into binaries,” encourages children to attend LGBT “pride” rallies and explore other ways to become LGBT “allies,” and proposes various role-play scenarios for children to act out in class, including lesbians deciding when to engage in oral sex and how to handle the aftermath of a drunken sexual encounter.











The material also contains detailed instructions on how to put on condoms, and even advice on “how to lower the chance of pain and make anal more enjoyable” without fear of “health issues.”



Todd Starnes and Church Militant report that more than a hundred members of the community descended on the school board meeting Monday evening to express concern.



“Who gave you the right, Austin ISD?” asked the father of a fifth-grade student. “You have overstepped.” Another parent called the curriculum an “attack on Christianity and family and on parental rights.” Concerned citizens read specific details from the curriculum, with resident Gary Moore calling the sexual role-play activities a “dream scenario for pedophiles.”



Critics were met with opposition by pro-LGBT protesters, some of whom attempted to use loudspeakers and instruments to drown them out. The school board itself largely dismissed community objections, signaling their position in advance with rainbow flags on their desks.



“If there are any kids actually watching this I want to tell them directly that they, you have heard a lot of hate tonight in this room,” Trustee Arati Singh declared at one point. The crowd reacted to the accusation by booing, which board president Geronimo Rodriguez dismissed by simply telling the audience that counselors were present for anyone who needed them.



“This vote by the Austin ISD Board sends a clear message: people of faith and traditional moral values are not welcome in Austin ISD,” Texas Values vice president David Walls said in response to the vote. “By passing this curriculum, Austin ISD has broken the sacred trust that parents put in their children’s schools. Last month we celebrated the 502nd anniversary of the Reformation by praising God for the power of His Word! The German reformer, that many say ignited the Reformation with his 95 Theses, gave all the credit to God and His Word. Martin Luther said, “All I have done is put forth, preach and write the Word of God, and apart from this I have done nothing, the Word has achieved everything.” In the providence of God, the Reformers appeared on the scene in the 16th century when the Word of God had been hidden from the people for over 900 years. They had no access to the Bible, because it was only available in Hebrew, Greek and Jerome’s Latin Vulgate.



For this reason, the Reformers wanted to put the Bible into the hands of the people in their own language. As Catholics read the Bible, the truth was setting them free from religious bondage and deception (John 8:31-32). Desperate to put a stop to this mass exodus, the Catholic Church put the Holy Bible on their list of forbidden books at the 16th century Council of Trent. It was ignorance of Scripture that made the Reformation necessary and the recovery of Scripture that made the Reformation possible. Then, it was the power of Scripture that gave the Reformation its enduring impact. The Reformation continues today as the Word of God, empowered by the Spirit of God, preached by men of God, brings forth life to the children of God (Hebrews 4:12; 1 Pet. 1:23).







Use God’s Word to Evangelize Catholics







The Supreme Authority of Scripture



“All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness” (2 Tim. 3:16). This verse establishes the supreme authority of God’s inspired, infallible, inerrant Word, which can be used to correct and reprove the teachings of Catholic bishops and religious traditions. 







The Sufficiency of Christ 



“By His doing you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification, and redemption” (1 Cor. 1:30). This verse declares the sufficiency of Jesus Christ in saving sinners completely and forever. It is God, not the Catholic priests, who redeems people from the slave market of sin and sanctifies them through divine wisdom and the righteousness of Christ. By one offering of Christ, He has perfected for all time those who are sanctified” (Heb. 10:14).







The Means of Salvation



“For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast” (Eph. 2:8-9). These two verses clearly declare that salvation is entirely the work of God and it is offered only as a gift of His grace, not by anything man does. In fact, if man tries to gain salvation through his works or merit, he has nullified the saving grace of God (Rom. 11:6). 







The Promise of Salvation



“These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know that you have eternal life” (1 John 5:13). Catholics are unaware that believers in the Lord Jesus can know, right here and now, that they have, in their possession, the assurance of eternal, everlasting life. Catholics are taught that making it to heaven is conditional on what they do instead of on what Christ has done.  







Use God’s Word to Expose Ungodly Catholic Traditions







The Sacrifice of the Mass



“Every priest stands daily ministering and offering time after time the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins; but He (Jesus), having offered one sacrifice for sins for all time, sat down at the right hand of God” (Heb. 10:11-12). When the Lord Jesus finished His perfect, all-sufficient work of redemption, He cried out in victory, “It is finished!” (John 19:30). Catholic priests, who continue on altars what Jesus finished on the cross, are leading their congregations in the idolatrous worship of the Eucharist. 









The Purifying Fires of Purgatory



“When He had made purification of sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high” (Hebrews 1:3). The dogma of Purgatory is a cruel and deceptive hoax, because only the blood of Jesus Christ purifies believers of all sin (1 John 1:7). 







The Veneration of Mary as Another Sinless Mediator



“For there is one God, and one mediator also between God and men, the man Christ Jesus” (1 Tim. 2:5). Not only is Mary not a mediator, she was also a sinner who needed a Savior (Rom. 3:23). She said, “My soul exalts the Lord, and my spirit has rejoiced in God my Savior” (Luke 1:46-47).







As we witness, remember our words are void of power and carry no authority. If we desire to see lost souls come to Christ, we must use God’s Word. “The word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit” (Heb 4:12). Let us be faithful in sowing the imperishable seed of God’s Word, because we know it will bring to life those who are dead in their sins if they repent and believe the Gospel (1 Pet. 1:23). In Obama's first year in office, 68% of white Democrats described themselves as Christians, 7% claimed to be members of other faiths, and 24% said that they had no religious affiliation.



A decade later, only 47% of white Democrats call themselves Christians. 10% are members of other faiths, and 42% have no religion.



A majority of white Democrats have ceased to be Christian.



The Obama era transformed the country and the party. It’s often observed that the Democrats of the JFK era are not the Democrats of today. But forget 1961, an era that is receding into the shadows of history. The Democrats of 2019 are not the Democrats of 2009. We are a different nation because of it.



The results of the Pew survey are startling and yet unsurprising. They explain why the Democrat debate stage included a cult leader and a call to go after churches and synagogues that don’t back gay marriage.  



Not even Obama would have proposed such a thing in 2009. But much has changed since then.



Obama was born in 1961. 67% of Generation X was Christian. Millennials are now a quarter of the electorate and they are evenly divided between Christians and non-Christians. Generation Z represents another 9% of the electorate and it’s been described as the least religious generation ever. 



Beto O’Rourke’s proposals to confiscate guns or go after the tax-exempt status of traditional religious organizations only seem radical to older voters. They’re not radical to the younger voters he’s courting.



O’Rourke, Sanders, and Buttigieg all endorsed abortion until the moment of birth. As has been noted, this position is far more radical than the one Obama ran on. But so is the 2019 Democrat electorate.



While Buttigieg and Booker try to tap into lefty pseudo-religious politics, O’Rourke dispenses with the phony religion by appealing to the new rising demographics of the Democrats. And, despite the headline, those demographics are not only white. The decline among minority Democrats has not been as dramatic as among white Democrats, but the number of black Democrats who describe themselves as Christian still fell from 84% to 74% from 2009 to 2018-2019. Hispanic Christian identification among Democrats declined from 82% to 71%. Among Democrats as a whole, only 55% identify as Christian.



That’s down from 72% in 2009.



Generational shifts will see older, more religious Democrats making way for a new generation. Before long a majority of all Democrats will no longer identify as Christians or as religious believers.



The Democrats have not only adopted values that are fundamentally hostile to traditional religious believers, but the demographics show that they are living out those values. And, as Beto O’Rourke demonstrated, see less reason to hide them or to pay lip service to religiosity in an irreligious party.



At current rates, Catholics will form a larger share of the GOP than of the Democrats. Protestants, who made up 46% of the Democrats in 2009, have declined to 35%, falling from nearly half to a little over a third. 1 in 5 Democrats have never attended religious services.



Republicans and Democrats are no longer divided by their approach to religion, but by religion itself.



And this loss of any common set of values has tremendous implications for the conflicts tearing the country apart. Democrats and Republicans have less in common than they ever did before, including during the conflict that tore apart the country and left 620,000 men lying on the nation’s battlefields.



What were once debates over issues increasingly became cultural divides, generation gaps, racial conflicts, and now, religious divides, that are becoming impossible to bridge. Americans find it harder than ever to compromise on the issues or to even care about the issues, because their differences and divisions have become the real issue. Everything else is becoming a mere marker of the divisions.



The changing Democrats demographics did not come out of nowhere, but the swiftness of the sea change within a decade is also a forerunner of the changes that will transform politics as we know it.



Republicans will increasingly face a Democrat opposition that does not have a different vision of religion, but that treats it at best as an odd superstition, and, at worst, a destructive and evil set of beliefs.



The First Amendment, already under assault, will face the same attacks that were visited on the Second.



The Second Amendment is under siege because a sizable percentage of the country, primarily living in urban and suburban areas, sees no legitimate reason why anyone would want to own a gun. That is the essence of the gun control argument. Everything else is propaganda, narrative, and meaningless noise.



The Democrats are on track to becoming a political party whose base sees freedom of religion as an equally outmoded historical relic envisioned by old, dead white slave owners who had strange beliefs. They don’t and won’t see why anyone should have the right to have hateful beliefs or read hateful texts.



What will religious freedom look like when the average Democrat views religion the way that he does firearms?



We are about to find out.



America is not entering uncharted territory. It’s following in the footsteps of Europe. In the UK, only 3% of 18-24 year olds identify as Anglicans, and only 5% as Catholics, among 25-34 year olds, 5% identify as Anglicans and 9% as Catholics. 64% of 18-24 year olds say that they have no religion, as do 57% of 25-34 year olds, and 60% of 35-44 year olds.



Freedom of religion cannot survive under these conditions. And indeed, that is the case in the UK.



People have to believe in something and being convinced that their children will die because people won’t stop using plastic bags and straws is a belief. It’s the sort of belief that leads to genocide. As is the conviction that religion, nationality, and every non-approved identity must be stamped out for equality.



The decline of religion is not leading us to a more tolerant world. Instead, it’s intolerance that’s rising.



And that’s inevitable.



Tolerance for differing beliefs originated from religious differences. America has freedom of conscience because it was founded by settlers and colonists fleeing religious persecution who then had to determine how to deal with religious dissent in their own ranks. The ideological fanatics driving the Democrats come from a leftist radicalism that has never learned to cope with political differences.



It lacks the toolset of tolerance. And does not even recognize that it applies to political enemies.



The Democrats have embraced a new idea of diversity that applies to every possible variety of skin color and sexual combination, as long as its members unwaveringly share their beliefs on every single issue. Their politics embraces everything, and as everything is politicized, the only remaining dissents allowed are on matters so trivial, or obscure, that they cannot be politicized. This is the new tolerance.



In a decade, the Democrats were almost incomprehensibly transformed. And the country with them.

According to Reuters, “the United States has given the remains of Islamic State leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi a burial at sea and afforded him religious rites according to Islamic custom after he was killed in a U.S. commando raid in Syria on Saturday.” This information came from “three officials,” all of whom “spoke on condition of anonymity,” but there is no reason to doubt it. There is ample reason, however, to wonder why it was done, since virtually everyone of influence in both parties have agreed that the Islamic State has nothing whatsoever to do with Islam.



Establishment Republican strategist Karl Rove said it on Fox News Monday: the Islamic State (ISIS) has “hijacked a great religion” and “stand in opposition to the vast majority of Muslims around the world.” Rove added that “they want to pervert a great religion.”



Rove was simply parroting the conventional wisdom. All through the Obama administration, the main concern of the President and his underlings was not to counter the Islamic State’s advance, but to deny that it had anything to do with Islam. On August 20, 2014, speaking a day after the Islamic State beheaded American journalist James Foley, Obama declared that “ISIL [his preferred acronym for the Islamic State] speaks for no religion. Their victims are overwhelmingly Muslim, and no faith teaches people to massacre innocents. No just god would stand for what they did yesterday and what they do every single day. ISIL has no ideology of any value to human beings. Their ideology is bankrupt. They may claim out of expediency that they are at war with the United States or the West, but the fact is they terrorize their neighbors and offer them nothing but an endless slavery to their empty vision and the collapse of any definition of civilized behavior.”



This became administration policy: “ISIL does not operate in the name of any religion,” said Obama State Department spokesperson Marie Harf not long after that. “The president has been very clear about that, and the more we can underscore that, the better.”



Hillary Clinton summed up the guiding philosophy here when she tweeted during her 2016 presidential campaign: “Let’s be clear: Islam is not our adversary. Muslims are peaceful and tolerant people and have nothing whatsoever to do with terrorism.” Not just ISIS, but all Muslims. And current Democrat front-runner has insisted that “ISIS has nothing to do with Islam.”



These confident assertions are bipartisan, and that isn’t just restricted to Rove. On September 17, 2001, President George W. Bush appeared at the Islamic Center of Washington, D.C., in the company of several prominent Muslim leaders, and said: “These acts of violence against innocents violate the fundamental tenets of the Islamic faith. And it’s important for my fellow Americans to understand that….The face of terror is not the true faith of Islam. That’s not what Islam is all about. Islam is peace. These terrorists don’t represent peace. They represent evil and war.”



The idea that the Islamic State is not Islamic and that Islamic jihadists are twisting and hijacking Islam is the standard and dominant perspective in the State Department, which was probably responsible for the decision to give al-Baghdadi Islamic burial rites. So why was this decision made? If the Islamic State has nothing whatsoever to do with Islam, then al-Baghdadi was not a Muslim at all.



But if the State Department realizes that al-Baghdadi was indeed a Muslim, as this decision to bury him with Islamic rites indicates, then everything Bush, Obama, and a host of others have told us all these years is false. And indeed it is. The UK’s Daily Mail reported Monday that Mohammed Ali Sajet, “one of Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi’s closest confidants” who “is related to Baghdadi via marriage and has been an ISIS member since 2015, described al-Baghdadi’s hideout this way: “He was in an 8-meter-long underground tunnel with a width of 5 to 6 meters. It had a library, religious books and the Quran and things of sort.”



What? The man had a library full of the Qur’an and other Islamic books in his hideout? Didn’t he know that ISIS had nothing whatsoever to do with Islam?



The State Department needs to get its story straight. Either al-Baghdadi was not a Muslim, but a “hijacker” of Islam, in which case he should not have been buried with Islamic rites, or he was indeed a Muslim, in which case the counterintelligence analysts who have been dismissed, marginalized, and reviled as “bigots” for noting Islam’s connection to terrorism should be brought in from the cold. But the latter possibility is only likely to happen if there is a sea change in the Department, and realism introduced where today fantasy holds sway. In a stealth campaign to reach students directly, the David Horowitz Freedom Center today distributed 2000 newspapers containing its new report on the “Top Ten Colleges that Promote Jew Hatred and Incite Terrorism” as well as posters condemning the Hamas-funded BDS movement against Israel on the University of Minnesota campus. The University of Minnesota is one of the schools named in the report.

The newspaper distribution coincides with the National Students for Justice in Palestine Conference, a highly controversial event known for promoting Jew hatred and anti-Israel terrorism, which will take place this weekend at the University of Minnesota.

Titled “From Campus to Congress: Allied with Terror,” the report documents the malignant spread of Jew hatred in our nation’s academic institutions. “Jew hatred is no longer solely the purview of academic outliers, those institutions known for radical activism and absurdist teachings,” the report explains. “The Jew hatred promoted by Hamas through its front group Students for Justice in Palestine has now trickled down to infect less typically activist campuses in the heartland—including the University of Minnesota which will host this year’s National Students for Justice in Palestine conference.”

A poster included in the pages of each newspaper highlights the role that Congresswoman Ilhan Omar, whose district includes the University of Minnesota, has played in promoting the anti-Semitic Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement against Israel. The poster features images of Rep. Omar and Nazi dictator Adolf Hitler, accompanied by a notorious tweet from Omar stating “Israel has hypnotized the world, may Allah awaken the people and help them see the evil doings of Israel.” The caption above this image states “BDS: Finishing the Work that Hitler Started.” These same posters were also hung in public locations on the Minnesota campus.

“For nearly two decades, SJP has promoted Hamas lies and propaganda in order to establish a beachhead of support for anti-Israel terrorists on American campuses, resulting in a dramatic rise in anti-Semitic incidents and the harassment of Jewish students,” said David Horowitz, founder of the Freedom Center. “



“American universities like the University of Minnesota allow these terrorist allies to use their authority and prestige to lend this genocidal offensive an aura of respectability,” Horowitz continued. “Our campaign intends to expose SJP and other supporters of BDS as fronts for Hamas and to press universities to cease their funding and support of these organizations.”
