‘Racist’ Is the Mainstream Media’s Latest Sad Attempt to Smear Ron DeSantis

You’re probably reading the headline of this column and thinking, “Duh! When has the mainstream media ever treated a conservative fairly?” But hear me out. The press’ treatment of Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-Fla.) is particularly egregious.

Last week brought some particularly bad and unfair press for DeSantis. On Tuesday, the Associated Press published an article that painted the picture of an atmosphere of abject racism in the Sunshine State under DeSantis.

National Review’s Becket Adams pointed out that the AP “suggested Florida’s Republican governor bears responsibility for a racially motivated shooting in Jacksonville, in which a white shooter killed three black people.”

“Ron DeSantis scoffed when the NAACP issued a travel advisory this spring warning Black people to use ‘extreme care’ if traveling to Florida,” AP reporter Steven Peoples announced on social media as he promoted a report he co-authored with AP colleague Brendan Farrington.

Peoples added, “Just three months later, DeSantis is leading his state through the aftermath of a racist attack that left three African Americans dead. Black leaders in Florida — and across the nation — say they’re outraged by his actions and rhetoric ahead of the shooting.”

Who could blame DeSantis for scoffing? The NAACP is doing what leftist groups do: engage in political theater to make conservatives look bad. The travel advisory is a typically melodramatic — and stupid — leftist move that most everybody can see straight through.

But the AP made it worse in a subtle, sneaky way. Not to get too in the weeds here, but the AP manipulated the URL of the article — its unique address. The words in a URL are meant to bring the article up higher in a search when someone searches for those particular words.*

Last week, the URL of this article included the words “Jacksonville DeSantis Racist Republican Shooting Haley Scott.”

I tested it, and sure enough when I googled “Republican Racist,” that article was the fourth one that popped up, but when I googled “DeSantis Racist,” it was the first site that came up.

Related: DeSantis Has a Double-Barreled Message for Would-Be Idalia Looters
Somewhere down the line, the AP simplified the URL, but it still contained the words “Jacksonville Racist Shooting DeSantis.”

It was bad enough for the AP to insinuate that DeSantis is racist for denying “systemic racism,” but the outlet featured a quote from NAACP president Derrick Johnson, who told the outlet, “What Gov. DeSantis has done is created an atmosphere for such tragedies to take place. This is exactly why we issued the travel advisory.”

The black history section of Florida’s new social studies curriculum received the brand of “racist” for suggesting that slaves learned skills that benefitted them after achieving freedom, even though its language is remarkably similar to the College Board’s own advanced placement course description. But it’s DeSantis who’s the racist — just like he took the heat for what the left falsely called Florida’s “Don’t Say Gay” legislation. The mainstream media has also suggested that DeSantis put disgraced state attorney Monique Worrell on suspension simply because she’s black.

Is Ron DeSantis a racist? Of course not. Is the state of Florida racist? Absolutely not. Are outlets like the Associated Press doing everything they can to try to falsely paint DeSantis and his state as racist to the core? You’d better believe it. And they should be ashamed of themselves for it.

White People Suck Again, This Time From Biden’s White Air Force Nominee

White People Suck Again, This Time From Biden's White Air Force Nominee
U.S. Air Force Col. Benjamin R. Jonsson (U.S. Air Force photo by Staff Sgt. Enjoli Saunders/Released)
There are currently almost 300 military officers awaiting promotion by the U.S. Senate.Rather than giving a look-see to each individual up for promotion, busy senators typically give what’s called “unanimous consent” to an entire group of officers at the same time.

Not so fast. Rob Bluey of The Daily Signal reported Thursday that things are changing. Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-Ala.) has been hitting the bat-chute on that for a while. He prefers to look into each officer individually, at least until the Defense Department repeals its abortion policy, which is funded by taxpayer money.

Also important, Tuberville is not a fan of wokeness in the military.

Enter USAF Col. Benjamin Jonsson. He was nominated by *President Biden to be promoted to brigadier general. Col. Jonsson is white. And “woke.”

Col. Jonsson believes the “problem” with the Air Force is “white colonels” like himself—but not really him, just all the other white colonels.

After the death of Saintly George Floyd, Jonsson penned an article for Air Force Times “calling out” his fellow Caucasian USAF colonels.

“As white colonels, you and I are the biggest barriers to change if we do not personally address racial injustice in our Air Force,” Col. Jonsson began.

The letter reeks of being written by a haughty,  green-haired, virtue-signaling white kid who attends high school in an affluent neighborhood.

“Defensiveness is a predictable response by white people to any discussion of racial injustice,” Col. Justice Warrior continued. “White colonels are no exception. We are largely blind to institutional racism, and we take offense to any suggestion that our system advantaged us at the expense of others.

FACT-O-RAMA! Though devoted to crushing what he sees as racist white colonels, Jonsson ignores this article from Air and Space Forces Magazine that came out one month before George Floyd died, detailing the 1,683 sexual assaults in the USAF that took place in 2019.

On cue, Jonsson assumes his pulpit and makes other white people uncomfy.

“That I addressed this letter to white colonels made many of you uneasy, and we have seen similar white defensiveness play out in many of our conversations since the murder of George Floyd,” Jonsson righteously continued.

FACT-O-RAMA! Various military branches removed photographs from officers’ promotional packets in 2020 because they thought they led to “bias” and not enough minorities being promoted. They went back to inserting photos one year later when they realized not enough minorities were being promoted without them. Maybe it wasn’t about race after all?

Jonsson goes on to explain how he hoisted his holiness onto a soapbox to discuss George Floyd’s death and a restaurant that was burned down in the aftermath. He whines that two white colonels made a joke about the restaurant to ameliorate the “social discomfort” his prophetic words caused. Or maybe, just maybe, his sermon was boring enough to put them asleep.

EQUITY-O-RAMA? In Jonsson’s diatribe, he capitalizes the word “black” but not the word “white” when referring to people, proving his goal is probity, not equality.

Like every narcissistic social justice warrior, Jonsson tells the evil crackers how he believes they should redeem themselves and flush the inherent racism from their souls.

“Start by developing a game plan, he preached. “A good primer is to read or listen to the short book, ‘White Fragility: Why It’s So Hard for White People to Talk About Racism,’ by Robin DiAngelo. Dear white colonel, it is time to give a damn. Aim High.”

You can read Jonsson’s obsequious homily here.

O’Keefe Media Group Unearths Best Buy’s Discrimination

(AP Photo/John Locher)
You may find this hard to believe, but there were times in my life when I was in charge of important things. Once upon a time, I was the program director and operations manager for two radio stations. No, really. As such, I had the power to hire people. That could prove to be a real rodeo from time to time, but that’s another story.Remember that this was a good twenty years before the dog days of DEI, so no one was breathing down our necks with rules, seminars, and classes designed to mandate who we hired. And we did reach out to minorities. Mainly, we tried to hire members of the local tribe. We reached out through the tribe’s newspaper, and we even actively recruited a few members, not because we had to but because we wanted to give a chance to anyone who had some talent or who wanted to develop their broadcasting skills. There was never much interest. This could have been attributed to the fact that our AM product was mainly conservative talk, but I honestly don’t know why.

Nowadays, discriminatory employment practices are legion — either because companies have gone woke or want to appear woke to avoid the twin ban-hammers of DEI and CRT. There has been some decline in that respect, but there are still pockets of it here and there, and I suspect it will be a feature of American companies for some time to come.

For example, the O’Keefe Media Group (OMG) recently uncovered the fact that Best Buy, that bastion of the Geek Squad and tons of fascinating technology that you never knew you needed (and probably don’t), is engaged in discriminatory HR practices. The flyer below is a little hard to read, even if you click on it, but it is an invitation to enroll in McKinsey & Company’s management training program. Many of the requirements are perfectly reasonable, but one requirement is not. Interested applicants must “Identify as Black, Latino, Hispanic or Pacific Islander.” It’s even a box that has to be checked on the application.

But wait! There’s more!

OMG talked with Enis Sujak, who is a member of the Geek Squad. Sujak told OMG that he witnessed religious bias on the job, along with an LGBTQ preference. Sujak reached out to OMG after walking out on a mandatory LGBTQ training. He was also sick of seeing rainbow flags, decorations, and paraphernalia around the buildings. Christian decorations were out because LGBTQ people might not like them. Sujak’s manager called him anti-LGBTQ. Sujak said that he is not anti-anything. He simply prefers not to be preached to or indoctrinated.

You can see OMG’s full report below. Pay attention at the end when a Best Buy employee tries to evict O’Keefe from a mall parking lot. (An ad may be included. Sorry.)

Sujak is more than likely out of a job. His chances of getting employment at a similar company are probably pretty bleak. But Sujak, a Serbian immigrant, understands something that most native-born people do not and that we have collectively forgotten. Sometimes standing up for what is right can carry a heavy cost, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t do it.

Obama, Islamic Civilization, and Black Antisemitism

In his 2009 Cairo speech, Obama praised Islam to the skies. Almost nothing of what he then said was true. Here is the key paragraph in his Cairo speech about the achievements he ascribes to Islamic civilization:

As a student of history, I also know civilization’s debt to Islam. It was Islam — at places like Al-Azhar — that carried the light of learning through so many centuries, paving the way for Europe’s Renaissance and Enlightenment. It was innovation in Muslim communities — (applause) — it was innovation in Muslim communities that developed the order of algebra; our magnetic compass and tools of navigation; our mastery of pens and printing; our understanding of how disease spreads and how it can be healed. Islamic culture has given us majestic arches and soaring spires; timeless poetry and cherished music; elegant calligraphy and places of peaceful contemplation.

The only way that Muslims “paved the way for Europe’s Renaissance” was when the Seljuk, and then the Osmanli, Turks, conquered all of Anatolia over several centuries, culminating on May 29, 1453, with the Osmanli Turks’ conquest of Constantinople, which for a thousand years had been the largest and richest city in Christendom. From 1400 on, Greek scholars had been fleeing the Muslim Turk invaders, leaving Byzantium for Italy, and bringing with them not only their own considerable learning, both in their heads and in their writings, but also manuscripts from classical antiquity — the works of Greek writers, poets, and historians. These were the seeds for the humanism of the Renaissance. As for Muslims preparing the mental ground for the Enlightenment, this bit of dreamy misinformation must have been found by one of Obama’s speechwriters at a History-for-Dummies site on the Internet. The European Enlightenment, which begins with Spinoza, is grounded in skepticism and the questioning of authority. Islam, on the other hand, insists on submission to authority; skepticism is not just discouraged but even punished. The authority of the Qur’an, the sayings and deeds of Muhammad in the hadith, and the teachings of Muslim clerics, are not to be questioned.

Obama ascribes the invention of algebra to Muslim mathematicians, when it is owed, rather, to Sanskrit mathematicians; only the word “algebra” (al-jabr) comes from the Muslim Arabs. He notes “majestic arches,” but misleadingly ascribes their first use to Muslims; they are based, rather, on the Byzantine squinch that the Muslims then borrowed. He mentions the Muslims’ “soaring spires,” showing he does not know the difference between spires, that are built on top of buildings, and minarets, that are separate structures. He spoke in Cairo of the Muslim invention of the “magnetic compass,” but in fact it was invented by the Chinese in 206 B.C., nearly 900 years before Islam even existed. The “mastery of pens and printing” he ascribes to Muslims is again owed, rather, to the Chinese, who invented printing around 700 A.D., during the Tang Dynasty. The earliest ancestor of the pen probably was the brush the Chinese used for writing by the 1st millennium B.C. However, the early Egyptians employed thick reeds as pen-like implements about 300 B.C. A specific allusion to the quill pen occurs in the seventh-century writings of St. Isidore of Seville. The Chinese, early Egyptians, and Christians in the Middle Age were responsible for the development of the pen; Muslims had nothing to do with it. And the art of calligraphy itself first began not with Muslims, but in China, during the Shang dynasty (1600-1000 B.C.). As for “cherished music” in Islam, whatever can he have been thinking of? Obama clearly is unaware that all instrumental music is forbidden — haram — in Islam. There is no tradition of “mosque music” as there is of “church music” in the West. And Muslims had absolutely nothing to do with our knowledge of “How disease spreads and how i t can be cured.” Obama has apparently never heard of Robert Koch and Louis Pasteur.

Does Obama’s praise for Islam help explain his ill-concealed hostility to Israel? Or are there other reasons? For twenty years he faithfully attended the Trinity United Church of Christ, where the pastor, Rev. Jeremiah Wright, married him and Michele, baptized Obama’s two daughters, and gave Obama the phrase he used as the title of his book The Audacity of Hope. Wright also gave sermons in which he denounced America. The government gives them [black people] the drugs, builds bigger prisons, passes a three-strike law and then wants us to sing ‘God Bless America.’ No, no, no, God damn America, that’s in the Bible for killing innocent people,” he said in a 2003 sermon. “God damn America for treating our citizens as less than human. God damn America for as long as she acts like she is God and she is supreme.”

In addition to damning America, he told his congregation on the Sunday after Sept. 11, 2001 that the United States had brought on al Qaeda’s attacks because of its own terrorism: “We bombed Hiroshima, we bombed Nagasaki, and we nuked far more than the thousands in New York and the Pentagon, and we never batted an eye,” Rev. Wright said in a sermon on Sept. 16, 2001.

Obama heard this man’s sermons almost every Sunday for twenty years, and never objected to what he heard. He never changed churches. And he only distanced himself from Jeremiah Wright when he was running for president, after the media unearthed such sermons, anti-white and anti-American. Wright told his black audience not to say “God bless America,” but “God damn America.” After Obama became president, Rev. Wright explained why he was not invited to the White House: “The Jews aren’t going to let him talk to me. I told my baby daughter, that he’ll talk to me in five years when he’s a lame duck, or in eight years when he’s out of office.” Wright also suggested that Obama did not send a delegation to the Durban Review Conference in Geneva on racism because of Zionist pressure saying: “[T]he Jewish vote, the A-I-P-A-C vote, that’s controlling him, that would not let him send representation to the Durban Review Conference, that’s talking this craziness on this trip, cause they’re Zionists, they would not let him talk to someone who calls a spade what it is.”

Exclusive: Charlie Kirk Calls Out ‘Cowardly’ Churches Adopting Left-Wing Politics

Left-wing ideology has infiltrated many Christian churches in the United States because they bow down to the “false god of being nice” and the “false god of tolerance” to win approval from the world, Turning Point USA (TPUSA) founder Charlie Kirk told Breitbart News in an exclusive interview.

Breitbart News asked Kirk, who travels to Christian churches all over the country for TPUSA Faith, to comment on the battle being waged for the soul of America’s churches, and pointed to the rising support for abortion and the LGBTQ+ agenda in some denominations, as well as a general decline in fervor.

In this April 19, 2019, file photo, a gay pride rainbow flag flies along with the U.S. flag in front of the Asbury United Methodist Church in Prairie Village, Kan. (AP Photo/Charlie Riedel, File)

“We as Christians are not called to be tolerant — and people don’t like it when I say that,” Kirk said at the 2023 Turning Point Action Conference in West Palm Beach, Florida, last week. “But we shouldn’t be tolerant of sin. We shouldn’t be tolerant of rebellion from God. We should have compassion. We have kindness, sympathy, and love. But love without truth is not love.”

“And so the Christian church has bad theology. They don’t want to offend people,” he said. “The Gospel is offensive, and because of that, we see a lot of churches that are then taken over by these parasitic left-wing idea pathogens.”

Part of the reason solid biblical teaching has become rare in America’s churches is because many pastors are “afraid to speak the truth” or they “don’t even know what the truth is” because they are not comprehending what the Bible says, Kirk said.

“And it’s really too bad because the American church is the great bulwark against tyranny. Liberty is not man’s idea. It is God’s idea,” he said. “And so I’m going around to churches — I speak at a lot of churches trying to encourage them to speak out on these issues. I think without a strong church, the country completely and totally falls apart.”

A man is outside with a Bible preaching (Unsplash/Ben White).

While traveling to churches around the country, Kirk often encounters church leaders who say they avoid talking about politics because politics are “divisive.” But, Kirk asserted, quoting Luke 12:51, the “Gospel is divisive,” and “Jesus did not come to unite the world but to divide the world.”

“So if they don’t want to talk about politics, do they want to get rid of Jeremiah 29:7, where [the Bible] says to demand the welfare of the nation that you are in because your welfare is tied to your nation’s welfare? Or get rid of Daniel? Joseph was a political figure. Joseph was a counselor to the Pharaoh in Egypt to end the famine. Esther was a political figure. Mordecai was a political figure. Nehemiah was a political figure,” he continued.

“The Book of Deuteronomy is an unbelievably political book, where the Founding Fathers quoted Deuteronomy more than any other author, secular or religious, more than John Locke, more than Montesquieu, more than Rousseau, more than Machiavelli, more than Aristotle,” he added. “They quoted Deuteronomy because out of Deuteronomy comes the civil law, this idea of separation of powers, an independent judiciary. So if a pastor says that, they’re not very smart, or they are deciding to be a coward, and I hope they change their ways.”

When asked if he thinks churches across the United States are growing wary of potential oncoming persecution from the government and/or a left-wing political movement hostile toward Christianity, Kirk said he believes many churches “don’t care.”

“Which is really too bad,” he said. “We’re seeing a mass erosion of freedom and liberty. You show me what you’re not allowed to make fun of — that is your true god. You’re allowed to make fun of Christianity. You’re not allowed to make fun of trans stuff.”

Department of Health and Human Services Assistant Secretary for Health transgender Admiral Rachel Levine speaks after having attended a roundtable on gender-affirming care and transgender health on Wednesday, June 29, 2022, in Miami (Wilfredo Lee/AP).

“They’re coming after the churches hard,” he continued. “They locked down the churches during the virus. They called them nonessential. They took Easter away. They took Pentecost Sunday away. We have the most suicidal, alcohol-addicted, drug-addicted generation in history. And where is the church? The church is kind of doing the bidding of the world, and it’s too bad.”

Kirk concluded that while “there are some great churches out there,” they are “small and far and few in between.”

“The vast majority of churches are cowardly. They’re not biblically based. They’re just kind of a shell of what they could be,” he said.

While Navy Pushes DEI, 37% of Attack Subs Are Out of Order~If only the Navy could repair subs as quickly as its transgender teams castrate sailors.

BY DANIEL GREENFIELD

On June 16, 2023, a date which will live in infamy, the Pearl Harbor base featured the story of Lt. Nick Grant, an “out gay cisgender man” who was a co-chair of the Naval Medical Force Pacific Transgender Care Team (NMFP TGCT).

The title of the Pride Month feature was “serving with pride”.

The Navy’s medical service, which can’t seem to do anything about active duty personnel killing themselves, has multiple “transgender care teams” for different regions composed of multiple specialists for different areas to “oversee and, in many cases, provide mental health, hormonal, and surgical interventions as needed to facilitate the gender transition process.”

There are some who say that the Navy ought to be focused on other things. Like getting its submarines to work. In the latest numbers, nearly 40% of attack subs are out of commission.

With only 31 subs operationally ready, the US Navy is more unready than ever to face off against the People’s Liberation Army Submarine Force of Communist China.

In 2017, 28% of submarines were out of commission. By 2022, it was 33%, and now it’s 37%. At the rate that the woke Naval brass are going, most subs will soon be out of order.

Under Biden, the number of operational nuclear powered attack subs has never gone above 33 out of 49. A third of our submarine attack fleet being out of order has become the new normal.

If only the Navy could repair subs as quickly as its transgender care teams castrate sailors.

As the U.S. Pacific Fleet (SUBPAC) commander responsible for 37 attack and ballistic missile submarines, Rear Admiral J.T. Jablon is “committed to broadening the diversity, equity, and inclusion of our Submarine Force”.

“Diverse representation without equity and inclusion degrades our readiness. Barriers to inclusion are the unconscious biases we carry without our awareness,” J.T. Jablon claimed in the official DEI statement. Everyone in the submarine fleet must be subjected to racial struggle sessions and political indoctrination, opportunities must be awarded based on race.

Not only hasn’t DEI improved readiness, but submarine readiness has drastically dropped.

“Diversity and inclusion are cornerstones of high organizational performance and mission effectiveness,” J.T. Jablon argued. The state of the submarine fleet proves otherwise.

The Navy is more diverse than ever. Pride Month is celebrated at American naval bases all across the Pacific. And even the most basic functions of the fleet are out of order.

When Biden nominated Secretary of the Navy Carlos Del Toro, a Democrat fundraiser, the former contractor was supposed to untangle the supply chain issues. But his company, SBG, benefited from government contracts as a “minority-owned business and a service disabled veteran owned small business” and he’s shown no ability to fix the Navy’s problems.

Del Toro, who had served on the Naval Academy Alumni Association’s Special Commission on Culture, Diversity, and Inclusion to purge political dissent, announced that his focus would be on China, Culture, Climate, and COVID. The US Navy is going green and promised that, like California, it would reach “net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050”.

The Navy’s 2023 budget wastes $718 million on fighting global warming. That’s more than 10% of the $6.2 billion in maintenance costs for 151 Navy vessels. If the Navy focused as much on getting its vessels operational as it does on global warming, identity politics and other partisan leftist causes, we would have subs in the water and have nothing to fear from China.

Instead, China is laughing while the US Navy commits to “100 percent zero-emission vehicles by 2035” and “100 percent carbon pollution-free electricity” and has partly achieved its goal by having “37 percent zero-emission attack submarines” sitting and doing nothing.

“They have 13 shipyards, in some cases their shipyard has more capacity — one shipyard has more capacity than all of our shipyards combined. That presents a real threat,” Del Toro observed of China’s shipyards. We could have shipyards too, but they ‘emit’ things.

At a Naval diversity summit, Secretary Del Toro told senior leaders that, “in order to maintain our strategic edge, the Navy and Marine Corps team must operationalize innovative and cohesive initiatives, rooted in DEI’s goals.” Our strategic edge is blunted, the fleet is failing and our capabilities are falling behind China while our military operationalizes leftist political agendas.

Instead of working on vessels, the Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard urges everyone to become an “ally” and consult “reputable sources like the Trevor Project, the Human Rights Campaign, and GLAAD.”

Meanwhile, a GAO report found that ‘steaming hours’ for Navy vessels had consistently decreased even as the DOD treated the number of the decreased as classified information. Navy officials responded to the maintenance backlogs, not by improving performance, but by trying to decommission and reduce the number of ships in the fleet to improve the numbers.

In 2019, more than half of the aircraft carriers were not ready to deploy. The US Navy is already badly backed up just repairing ships on routine deployments. In the event of a naval military conflict, another GAO report found that it would be absolutely overwhelmed.

The GAO report stated that the Navy “is in the early stages of determining how it will provide battle damage repair during a great power conflict.” The Navy has spent far more time thinking about how it will implement DEI programs and castration opportunities for sailors than it has how it will cope with repairing battle damage during a war.

The shipyards are not ready with “more than half the equipment at the shipyards is past its expected service life.” The submarines are not ready, with only 31 mission capable attack subs. And the fleet is not ready for a military conflict with a GAO report warning that “the Navy could handle a single battle damage event,” but they were “uncertain how the Navy might handle multiple simultaneous or near-simultaneous events”. But the DEI indoctrination is ready.

92% of ship fires may be going unreported, but Chief of Naval Operations Adm. Michael Gilday is on track with his true mission. “My goal is to put the Navy in a place over the next 20 years where we’re the most diverse service in the DoD,” Gilday told the State of the Navy.

China’s goal is to have the largest Navy in the world. After achieving that goal in 2020, it has kept on building and aims to have 400 vessels. But we will have the most diverse Navy. Our ships won’t work, but our struggle sessions will. We won’t win any wars except on ourselves.

The People’s Republic of China may take pride in ruling the seas, but we’ll take pride in Pride.

‘Not Enough’: Chicago Suburb Begins Paying Reparations to Black Residents

At long last, justice has come: the Chicago suburb of Evanston, Ill., has begun paying reparations to black residents. So now that historic wrongs have been righted, a new era of racial harmony will dawn in northern Illinois, right? Wrong: one local “civil rights activist” is already complaining that the payouts are too meager and more money is needed. Despite the discontent, however, supporters of the scheme are optimistic, with one even terming it “a test run for the whole country.” Yeah, that’s the problem.

The Wall Street Journal reported Monday that Evanston will shell out $25,000 to around 140 black residents of Evanston by the end of this year. This is just a small part of $10 million in reparations payments that the city approved in 2019, so lots more free money is coming. Meanwhile, the party has already begun for sixteen Evanston residents who have already received their dough and are now experiencing the bliss of ancient injustices redressed. These people have been suffering from the racism of the white supremacists in Evanston for a long time; a Thursday report in Slay noted that “individuals must have been at least 18 years old and resided in the city between 1919 and 1969 to qualify for the payments.”

One would think that Evanston would be ringing with hosannas for this dawning of Democrat vote bribery, uh, that is, racial justice, but somehow the joy of equity is still proving to be elusive, at least for some Evanstonians. Alleged civil rights activist Bennett Johnson, according to Slay, is not satisfied at all. He complained about the fact that the city set 1969 as the cutoff year, saying it was “totally arbitrary”; however, that was the year that Evanston passed a fair housing law. The righteous Johnson claimed that black Americans in Evanston continued to be “discriminated” against and “hurt,” and so presumably the payments should extend far beyond 1969.

Slay noted that Johnson “also contended that the payments were not enough.” He said angrily: “I believe that [Evanston is] doing the same thing that we’ve done in the past, downgrading the ability of black people to do things for themselves.” Now wait a minute, Mr. Johnson. Isn’t that exactly what reparations do: downgrade the ability of black people to do things for themselves? Isn’t the very premise of the reparations frenzy the idea that black people have been simply unable to overcome all the racist roadblocks that Whitey has fiendishly put in their way?

Doesn’t the idea of reparations also assume that these roadblocks have remained in place long after the passage of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, via innumerable structures of systemic racism that are so insidiously subtle that they can only be discerned by highly-paid instructors in Critical Race Theory? Isn’t the idea of reparations predicated on the assumption that black people can’t do things for themselves and that this is Whitey’s fault, and so Whitey needs to give black people a special boost in the form of a generous cash payout?

Yet Johnson insists: “We could realize that if we don’t let black people control this, we [are] still doing the same thing that we’ve done in the past.” Well, in a certain sense, we are indeed doing the same thing we’ve done in the past, or at least Evanston is. By paying money to black residents, Evanston is paternalistically assuming that they can’t make it on their own. That’s the same sort of assumption that justified slavery and a host of other ills. But this time, Democrats are calling their racism and paternalism “racial justice,” and that makes it all okay.

And where is the money coming from for all this? From taxes, of course. The initial payouts were “supposed to come from marijuana and real estate transfer taxes,” but “marijuana sales tax revenue slowed after the opening of a second dispensary in the city was delayed,” so a non-stoner solution had to be found: “City officials anticipate that the entire program will be funded, in part, due to Evanston’s graduated real estate transfer tax.”

That’s great, but what happens when white taxpayers begin leaving Evanston in order to avoid being penalized for a crime they did not commit for the benefit of those who were not victimized? If Evanston housing laws were unfair until 1969, that’s a terrible shame, but an Evanston resident who is 65 years old now was all of eleven years old in 1969 and so unlikely to be responsible for all the racism that the racist rednecks of Chicago, the parents, and grandparents of those who attacked Jussie Smollett, inflicted upon the area’s black population.

Justin Hansford of the Thurgood Marshall Civil Rights Center at Howard University was nevertheless happy, saying that Evanston’s reparations scheme was “a test run for the whole country.” Yeah, that’s what’s wrong with it. Reparations efforts are the prelude to wealth redistribution on a larger scale, with money confiscated from those considered undeserving and transferred to those whom the all-knowing, all-powerful state decides ought to have it. Every society where this has been implemented has become impoverished, as wealthy producers either flee or stop producing. Evanston, Illinois, and America in general, will be no different.

Philadelphia: Fired teacher files complaint against Islamic school, alleging ‘overt’ anti-black racism

Anti-Black Racism at a Muslim School in Philadelphia

Hugh Fitzgerald summed it up in a 2020 article:

The late Anwar Shaikh, a scholar of Islam who lived in the West, argued in his Islam: The Arab National Religion that Islam has always been a “vehicle for Arab supremacism.” It’s not hard to see how he came to that conclusion. The Qur’an, after all, was delivered to an Arab, and in his language. The Qur’an ideally should be read, recited, and memorized, in the original Arabic. Muslims prostrate themselves in prayer five times a day, always turned toward Mecca, in Arabia. If they can afford it, Muslims should at least once in their lives make the hajj to that same Arabian city of Mecca. So great is the prestige of the Arabs in Islam that non-Arab Muslims, especially converts, frequently adopt Arab names. Many Muslims, too, especially in Pakistan, add the honorific “Sayid,” indicating — falsely — that they are descended from the Quraysh, the tribe of the Prophet.

“Lawsuit Filed against Philadelphia Islamist School, Alleging ‘Overt’ Anti-Black Racism,” by Sam Westrop, Focus On Western Islamism, July 10, 2023:

A teacher fired from Philadelphia’s Al-Aqsa Islamic Academy has filed a civil suit against the school and its principal, alleging extraordinary anti-black racism at the school.

Arslan Shaikh served as a “general studies” teacher with Al-Aqsa Islamic Academy from August 2020 to April 28, 2023. In his filed complaint, he alleges, throughout his time at the school, he observed “disproportionate allocation of discipline and removal of black children relative to their non-black counterparts.”

Moreover, Shaikh claims that a report he wrote, documenting racist comments aimed at black students by other students, was “edited … to omit [mention of] the overt racism.”

He also alleges that “non-black children were given privileges denied to black children. On one occasion, several non-black students received failing grades. These grades were then changed to ‘passing’ by Defendants. In the three years that Plaintiff taught at Al-Aqsa, he never saw this benefit conferred to black children.”

On April 27, 2023, Shaikh claims that during a conversation with the school principal, Shireen Hammoudeh, he was informed of a complaint lodged against him by students. Principal Hammoudeh reportedly told Shaikh that the complaint was only filed because “they’re black and are trying to manufacture a lawsuit.” She allegedly promised to “find a reason to get rid of [the black students].”

Shaikh informed other administration members at the school about the “display of overt racism,” only to be fired a few hours later.

The school’s 2019 “parent-student handbook” declares that Western culture is “toxic to Muslims.” And the uniform guides for the school require that female students be completely covered….

White Ethnic Flight from America’s Cities; What Moynihan understood that Sotomayor doesn’t.

In 1965, then undersecretary of labor Daniel Patrick Moynihan foresaw a problem that was about to undo the promise of Martin Luther King’s 1963 “I have a dream” speech, the Civil Rights Act of 1964, and his boss Lyndon Jonson’s 1965 launch of the “Great Society.”

In reading her dissenting opinion last week on the affirmative action case before the Supreme Court, I got the distinct impression that Justice Sonia Sotomayor never read Moynihan’s The Negro Family: The Case for National Action, likely never heard of it, and certainly had no idea of how prescient it would prove to be.

Despite the “full recognition of their civil rights,” argued Moynihan, black Americans were growing increasingly discontent. They were expecting that equal opportunities would “produce roughly equal results, as compared with other groups,” but, added Moynihan, “This is not going to happen.” Nor did he think it ever would happen “unless a new and special effort is made.”

Nearly sixty years later Moynihan’s warning seems all the more prophetic. Herculean efforts have been made over the years to  achieve “equal results,” but none has addressed the core issue. Wrote Moynihan:

The fundamental problem, in which this is most clearly the case, is that of family structure. The evidence— not final, but powerfully persuasive—is that the Negro family in the urban ghettos is crumbling. A middle class group has managed to save itself, but for vast numbers of the unskilled, poorly educated city working class the fabric of conventional social relationships has all but disintegrated.

In a Father’s Day speech in 2008 then candidate Barack Obama affirmed Moynihan’s worst fears. “Of all the rocks upon which we build our lives, we are reminded today that family is the most important,” Obama told the congregation at a Chicago church.

Here, Obama spoke with a candor not heard since Lyndon Johnson threw Moynihan under the bus. “But if we are honest with ourselves,” he continued, “we’ll admit that what too many fathers also are is missing—missing from too many lives and too many homes. They have abandoned their responsibilities, acting like boys instead of men. And the foundations of our families are weaker because of it.”

Obama started chipping away at the very idea of systemic racism as the cause of Black failure. “We know that more than half of all Black children live in single-parent households, a number that has doubled—doubled—since we were children. We know the statistics—that children who grow up without a father are five times more likely to live in poverty and commit crime; nine times more likely to drop out of schools and twenty times more likely to end up in prison.”

Like Moynihan, Obama came in for a spanking of his own. A hot mic at a Fox News studio picked up Jesse Jackson saying to another Black guest, “See, Barack been, um, talking down to Black people on this faith-based—I wanna cut his nuts out.” Here Jackson made a cutting motion with his hands and added additional commentary that I dare not repeat. Obama got the message. He never spoke forcefully on this subject again.

If nothing else, Jesse Jackson affirmed Moynihan’s prediction:

“The principal challenge of the next phase of the Negro revolution is to make certain that equality of results will now follow. If we do not, there will be no social peace in the United States for generations.”

In her contentious and confused dissenting opinion on the affirmative action case before the Supreme Court, Justice Sonia Sotomayor proved there is no social peace even in the highest court of the land.

“The Court subverts the constitutional guarantee of equal protection,” Sotomayor scolds her colleagues, “by further entrenching racial inequality in education, the very foundation of our democratic government and pluralistic society.”

Where to begin?  For starters, in my new book, Untenable: The True Story of White Ethnic Flight from America’s Cities, I show the futility of any quest to achieve equity among ethnic groups either economically or academically.

Starting with no more “privilege” than any other ethnic group in my native Newark, New Jersey, Jewish students consistently outperformed all others. By mid-twentieth century, Blacks were narrowing the gap between themselves and the city’s two other dominant ethnic groups, Irish and Italian, but none of these groups would ever outperform Jews. Due to the family dissolution of which Moynihan warned, Blacks would fall further behind the other three.

Later in the century, two other ethnic groups emerged in Newark as political blocs, Portuguese and Puerto Rican. The Portuguese had an advantage: they arrived in Newark free from the tentacles of the welfare state. With strong families and minimal public assistance, they created jobs and a harmonious neighborhood that has proved an attractive destination for outsiders. The Puerto Ricans did not.

In her dissent Sotomayor speaks of a society “where opportunity is dispensed along racial lines.” The Puerto Rican Sotomayor was, of course, righter than she knew. Fifty years ago, she was accepted at Princeton despite her admittedly below par test scores. “I am the perfect affirmative action baby,” she has conceded. Her “racial” line was what got her in the front door although, in truth, “Puerto Rican” is no more a race than Mexican or American.

Sotomayor attributes the “achievement gaps” in standardized test scores to “entrenched racial inequality in K–12 education.” Sotomayor, however, attended excellent Catholic schools in New York City K-12. That she would get an affirmative action bump while the Portuguese would not is attributable solely to the political clout of the much larger “Latino” bloc. It has nothing to do with justice.

Fifty years after Sotomayor’s admission to Princeton, Puerto Ricans remain among the “underrepresented groups.” The reason why they are underrepresented, she contends, is that, “for far too long [they] were denied admission through the force of law.” This is nonsense. With logic like this, it was no wonder she tested poorly.

Even if Puerto Ricans as a cultural group were as achievement oriented as Jews and many Asian groups, their rates of fatherlessness would subvert their ambitions. In Puerto Rico, 49 percent of children live in single parent households. For Puerto Ricans in the U.S. the number is likely comparable. This would be two times higher than the rate among blacks that triggered Moynihan’s report.

Writ large, some 42 percent of “Latino” children live in single parent households today. This compares to 24 percent among non-Hispanic whites and 16 percent among Asians. For Black children, the number is 64 percent.

Given the odds at the starting gate, “equity’ will only be achieved if President Biden appoints the equivalent of what satirist Kurt Vonnegut called a “handicapper general.” In his 1961 short story “Harrison Bergeron,” Vonnegut imagined an official with the power to assure that everyone would be “equal every which way” and no one would be “smarter than anybody else.”

Sonia Sotomayor, I think, has just the right amount of imagination to do that job well.

RFK Jr. Throws Moms for Liberty Under the Woke School Bus, Touts Pro-LGBTQ Stance

Democratic presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has garnered support from both leftists and conservatives. But conservatives who admire RFK Jr. for speaking hard truths should also be aware of how he back-stabbed a parental rights group on TV in order to pander to an intolerant homosexual activist who wants LGBTQ propaganda in schools.

The group Kennedy rejected was Moms for Liberty, which just held a summit featuring 2024 Republican presidential candidates Donald Trump, Vivek Ramaswamy, and Ron DeSantis. But not Kennedy.

Moms for Liberty’s mission statement reads, “Moms for Liberty is dedicated to fighting for the survival of America by unifying, educating, and empowering parents to defend their parental rights at all levels of government.” All they want to do is prevent the government-enforced indoctrination and sexualization of children in schools and make sure parents are made aware of such tremendously important things as whether their children are masquerading as the opposite sex at school. The group does not attack LGBTQ people — indeed, LGBTQ activists are the ones harassing Moms for Liberty.

At a town hall on Wednesday, News Nation allowed audience members to ask Kennedy questions. James Williams, the CEO of a social media consulting firm, asked the candidate why he agreed to and then drew back from an invitation to speak at a Moms for Liberty conference. While Moms for Liberty is specifically geared toward preventing parents from being pressured into letting their kids be indoctrinated, Williams claimed Moms for Liberty tries to tell people how to raise their children.

Williams then brought up the immensely corrupt and sexually licentious Sen. Ted Kennedy, RFK’s uncle (Chappaquiddick, anyone?), and Williams’s former boss. He said there was “no bigger champion or stalwart for LGBTQ equality” than “the late Ted Kennedy.” Practically crying, Williams demanded to know why he should vote for Robert F. Kennedy Jr. when the latter originally agreed to speak at a conference with a group “that wants to ban my marriage and tell…other parents how to treat their children” (again, a misunderstanding of Moms for Liberty’s goals).

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. rushed to reassure the intolerant activist that he “didn’t speak at that group.” RFK began, ”When somebody on my staff accepted that invitation, and I was unaware of it —”

Williams, too worked up to let Kennedy actually finish his sentence, jumped in and self-righteously announced that, as a former congressional staffer, he thinks blaming staff is “the wrong answer.”

Instead of respectfully but firmly telling Williams not to lecture and talk over him, RFK hastened to appease the overwrought leftist. Since he’s at the start of his campaign, he has no “long-term staff,” Kennedy explained. “When I found out that that was [Moms for Liberty’s] position,” Kennedy went on, not explaining what that position was and presumably referring back to James’s misrepresentation of the group, “I declined to go.”

Related: YouTube Goes to Bat for Biden, Removes Jordan Peterson Interview of RFK Jr.

So is RFK saying he doesn’t support parental rights? That he supports the sexualization of children in schools? That would seem to be what he affirmed here. That’s deeply concerning.

”There will be nobody in the Oval Office who is more supportive of LGBTQ rights than I am,” Kennedy went on, apparently forgetting (as his family has so often forgotten before) that he is a Catholic and therefore cannot, religiously speaking, support homosexual marriage. “I was with Teddie campaigning…in 1980. We — it was the first political, presidential campaign that ever courted the gay vote…it’s very important to me, it’s a civil right…my family has stood for, has fought for [these rights], and I will do the same”

Kennedy then delivered what amounted to an apology. “I made a mistake by accepting that invitation, and when I found out those positions,” (said again without any clarification), “I didn’t show up.” But apparently, that sickening statement wasn’t good enough for Williams, who demanded Kennedy “denounce” what Moms for Liberty “stand[s] for.” Kennedy at least refused to do that, but he added, “I don’t agree with anybody who says that we shouldn’t respect gay rights, or anybody else’s rights.” Except parental rights, evidently.

“Everybody should respect [gay rights], and, you know, I’m going to do everything I can to make sure that they’re — those are protected, and I always have,” Kennedy ended. Again, this isn’t about respecting people as Americans with the same basic rights as all Americans. What Kennedy did was bow to the rainbow mafia and turn his back on a group that wants to prevent homosexual pornography in elementary schools.

Democrats, even those who say a lot of good things, are never to be trusted unequivocally. If Robert F. Kennedy prefers to appease the rainbow mafia over supporting parents who just want to ensure their children aren’t indoctrinated without their knowledge, then no conservative can trust him. Our children are too important for any compromise with LGBTQ crazies.

Top O’ the Briefing

Happy Friday, dear Kruiser Morning Briefing friends, Shawna never failed to please the quilting bee with her Spam snacks.

The thoroughly racist policy known as affirmative action was finally given a groin kick by the Supreme Court of the United States. Once again, thank you, President Trump.

Predictably, the lefties lost their tiny minds over this. They quiver themselves into fits when their racism isn’t protected by law. They have to keep minority voters in lockstep place, after all.

Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson (I still want to type “Jackson Brown” because I’m a kid from the ’70s) wrote a dissenting opinion that proved why she should not be on the Court. She is part of President LOLEightyonemillion’s ongoing promise to give black women high-profile jobs. For any lefties out there who want to scream, “RAAAAAACISMMMM!” I will say this: The United States of America is blessed with millions upon millions of brilliant black women. The Democrats just don’t seem to know any of them.

Joe Biden managed to do something that most thought was impossible: he nominated a woman to the Supreme Court who is dumber than Sonia Sotomayor. Props, Big Guy, that was quite the task.

Justice Brown Jackson’s dissenting opinion was absolutely torn apart by one of the greatest Americans in history: Justice Clarence Thomas. Matt wrote the story for us:

“Accordingly, JUSTICE JACKSON’s race-infused world view falls flat at each step. Individuals are the sum of their unique experiences, challenges, and accomplishments,” Thomas wrote. “What matters is not the barriers they face, but how they choose to confront them. And their race is not to blame for everything—good or bad—that happens in their lives. A contrary, myopic world view based on individuals’ skin color to the total exclusion of their personal choices is nothing short of racial determinism.”

Oh, but he wasn’t done yet.

“JUSTICE JACKSON then builds from her faulty premise to call for action, arguing that courts should defer to ‘experts’ and allow institutions to discriminate on the basis of race,” Thomas continued. “Make no mistake: Her dissent is not a vanguard of the innocent and helpless. It is instead a call to empower privileged elites, who will ‘tell us [what] is required to level the playing field’ among castes and classifications that they alone can divine. […] Then, after siloing us all into racial castes and pitting those castes against each other, the dissent somehow believes that we will be able—at some undefined point—to “march forward together” into some utopian vision.”

BOOM.

Clarence Thomas made his way to where he is solely on merit. Black American conservatives are routinely smeared by racist Democrats as “Uncle Toms” (which is completely wrong because none of them have ever read the book) and disparaged as being “race traitors.”

Don’t wander away and do whatever you want to, Minority Voter, or we’ll do everything we can to ruin you.

I don’t have much faith in our institutions anymore, but the fact that Clarence Thomas is still on the Supreme Court gives me a little hope.

Clarence Thomas SCORCHES Ketanji Brown Jackson in Concurring Opinion

In a long-awaited decision on Thursday, the Supreme Court declared that affirmative action policies are unconstitutional because they violate the Equal Protection Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment. As you can expect, The court was split on ideological lines. Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson, Joe Biden’s affirmative action pick for the Supreme Court, blasted the majority opinion in her dissenting opinion.

“With let-them-eat-cake obliviousness, today, the majority pulls the ripcord and announces “colorblindness for all” by legal fiat. But deeming race irrelevant in law does not make it so in life,” she claimed. “And having so detached itself from this country’s actual past and present experiences, the Court has now been lured into interfering with the crucial work that UNC and other institutions of higher learning are doing to solve America’s real-world problems.”

“No one benefits from ignorance,” she continued. “Although formal race-linked legal barriers are gone, race still matters to the lived experiences of all Americans in innumerable ways, and today’s ruling makes things worse, not better. The best that can be said of the majority’s perspective is that it proceeds (ostrich-like) from the hope that preventing consideration of race will end racism.”

Jackson obviously has no problem advancing through life based on the color of her skin rather than on merit. Joe Biden promised to appoint a black female justice to the Supreme Court and followed through. He may have picked someone who doesn’t know what a female is, but he picked her nonetheless. As one could have easily assumed, she’s no different that the usual race hustlers of the radical left, and she got called out on it by none other than Justice Clarence Thomas in his concurring opinion.

“Accordingly, JUSTICE JACKSON’s race-infused worldview falls flat at each step. Individuals are the sum of their unique experiences, challenges, and accomplishments,” Thomas wrote. “What matters is not the barriers they face, but how they choose to confront them. And their race is not to blame for everything—good or bad—that happens in their lives. A contrary, myopic worldview based on individuals’ skin color to the total exclusion of their personal choices is nothing short of racial determinism.”

Oh, but she wasn’t done yet.

Thomas went on to accuse Jackson of using race-based stereotypes in her dissent and never seemed to pull a punch to shred her dissent to pieces.

Though JUSTICE JACKSON seems to think that her race- based theory can somehow benefit everyone, it is an immutable fact that “every time the government uses racial criteria to ‘bring the races together,’ someone gets excluded, and the person excluded suffers an injury solely because of his or her race.” […] Indeed, JUSTICE JACKSON seems to have no response—no explanation at all—for the people who will shoulder that burden. How, for example, would JUSTICE JACKSON explain the need for race-based preferences to the Chinese student who has worked hard his whole life, only to be denied college admission in part because of his skin color? If such a burden would seem difficult to impose on a bright-eyed young person, that’s because it should be. History has taught us to abhor theories that call for elites to pick racial winners and losers in the name of sociological experimentation.

“This vision of meeting social racism with government-imposed racism is thus self-defeating, resulting in a never-ending cycle of victimization,” his response to Jackson concluded. “There is no reason to continue down that path. In the wake of the Civil War, the Framers of the Fourteenth Amendment charted a way out: a colorblind Constitution that requires the government to, at long last, put aside its citizens’ skin color and focus on their individual achievements.”

Drop that mic, Justice Thomas; you nailed it.

Two years ago, Amy Gonzalez and Andrea Gross, two Ohio moms with children in the Columbus Academy, had had enough of the school’s CRT and DEI policies. And like moms across the United States, they decided to take a stand and even gathered a coalition of like-minded parents to demand answers and solutions. In the video below, you can see why they spoke up and how the school tried to exact punishment and enforce compliance.

At the time, Gross and Gonzalez told ABC 6 in Columbus that their coalition wanted to know what was being taught and felt that they were not being heard. Gross said that people felt, “marginalized. Intimidated. Isolated. And ultimately discriminated against.” Gonzalez stated that the DEI agenda at the school felt like “inherent bigotry.”

The pair were accused by the school of “false and misleading attacks” and later informed them that their children would be denied re-enrollment that fall. The school also took the extra step of informing other families of the expulsion. In that letter, Head of School Melissa Soderberg claimed that Gross and Gonzalez  had “pursued a course of action that has been anything but civil, respectful, and faithful to the facts.” She also accused the pair of causing pain and fear for physical safety among the faculty, staff, students, and even their families. The station said that the pair made an appearance on a podcast. One parent who supported the school’s position listened and commented:

The language was very incendiary and I actually contacted the school after that podcast. We know there were children recording their class lectures and discussions in class at the urging of their parents. I think there is a chilling of discussion in the classroom that I think it’s really problematic. The school does not teach, per se critical race theory. There are certainly components the students, especially in the upper school are exposed to, but they are not taught how to think and they are not told what to think. I think it is heart-wrenching that the children are sort of collateral damage. The school does not teach, per se critical race theory. There are certainly components the students, especially in the upper school are exposed to, but they are not taught how to think and they are not told what to think. I think it is heart-wrenching that the children are sort of collateral damage.

Gross told the outlet, “I believe they are trying to send a message to the other members of our coalition that if you speak out and you ask questions that they will punish your innocent children.”

On June 12 of this year, Gonzalez and Gross filed an official complaint in the Court of Common Pleas in Franklin County. Fox News notes that the pair are seeking damages from the academy. The complaint states in part, “One teacher stated, on the first day of class, that he would not communicate with any student who supported President Trump. Politically charged issues were regularly taught and discussed in the classroom without opposing viewpoints presented.” The complaint also alleges that Latinos were not offered inclusion to the extent that other minorities enjoyed. The head of the academy’s security filed a report with the local police department and the school told faculty that it had reported the pair to the FBI. That portion of the complaint reads:

During the meeting when faculty was told the FBI had been alerted, the environment was such that one of the Academy’s faculty members raised his/her hand and asked if the Child Plaintiffs should be treated differently. Another member of faculty stated, “it sounds like we have a mole’” The actions of the Academy and those of its affiliates, as directed by the Academy, had an extreme impact on the wellbeing of Plaintiffs. The Academy falsely accused the Parent Plaintiffs of being dangerous to the health and wellbeing of the entire Academy community and destroyed their reputations with many of the people they had spent years working and learning with.

Gross told Fox that the school’s retaliation turned the community against her family to the point that her daughter left the state for her schooling.

Obama Brings Back the Race Card

In 2023, Obama is still addicted to the politics of racial division.

BY DANIEL GREENFIELD

SEE: https://www.frontpagemag.com/obama-brings-back-the-race-card/;

Republished below in full unedited for informational, educational, & research purposes.

In ‘Obama’s True Legacy: How He Transformed America’, a book edited by Jamie Glazov and containing vital essays by different conservative thinkers, I went back in time to Obama’s 2004 DNC speech in which he celebrated that, “there’s not a black America and white America and Latino America and Asian America; there’s the United States of America.” And then I contrasted those inspiring words with the ugly politics of racial division that he used to tear apart the nation.

Obama recently revisited those words on a CNN podcast with former consigliere David Axelrod. “I think may be the best speech you ever gave,” Axelrod told his old boss, quoting those lines. “I believe in these lines. You believe in these lines, but they feel almost sepia colored now because of what we’ve seen since. And the question is, what happened?”

Barack Obama dismisses “a bunch of post-racial fantasies” and then states that “those lines are aspirational and always have been”. To paraphrase Axelrod, of a lot of lies that Obama told, this may be the worst of them. The DNC lines were in the present tense and addressed to the moment. Obama began by claiming that “there are those who are preparing to divide us” and declared, “I say to them tonight, there’s not a liberal America and a conservative America – there’s the United States of America. There’s not a black America and white America and Latino America and Asian America; there’s the United States of America.”

Then he contended that pundits like “to slice-and-dice our country into Red States and Blue States… but I’ve got news for them, too… we are one people, all of us pledging allegiance to the stars and stripes, all of us defending the United States of America.”

None of this is aspirational. It claimed to be a present day description of the country and its current issues, right down to there “are patriots who opposed the war in Iraq and patriots who supported it.” Any notion that it was some future aspiration could only exist as a secret equivocation living in one of the many chambers of Obama’s mental double life.

That Obama lies with shameless facility about things that are easy to check and that, unlike his successor, he doesn’t have the excuse of dementia or stuttering, isn’t new. And yet this particular big lie is important because it’s at the root of the damage that he inflicted on us.

Obama was telling the country that he did not believe it was racist. His agenda is now just the opposite. On the Axelrod podcast, he lashed out at Senator Tim Scott for using that message.

“I listened to Tim Scott, who’s running for president, and half of it sounds a lot like us. Half of it sounds a lot like what you were talking about in the speech in 2004 and in all of our speeches from that point on, which was, I am living proof that we are making progress as a country. I wouldn’t be here but for that progress,” Axelrod told Obama.

“I haven’t spent a lot of time studying Tim Scott speeches,” Obama sneered, in his trademark petty way. ” I think there is a long history of African-American or other minority candidates within the Republican Party who will validate America and say, everything’s great, and we can all make it.”

Obama attacks Scott for being willing to “validate America”. What was Obama doing then if he wasn’t validating America? The obvious answer is that he was invalidating America. And that may be the best possible description of Obama’s cultural and ideological legacy. After emerging as a trojan horse promising to validate America, he spent his career destroying its validity.

“Those quotes you made about, you know, from my speech in 2004 about there’s a United States of America, that has to be undergirded with an honest accounting of our past and our present,” Obama complained. Barack Obama has never even made an honest accounting of his own past, let alone his presidency, yet he keeps demanding that Americans account for things.

Barack Obama, the millionaire son of wealthy parents, invokes the myth that black people suffer “crippling generational poverty that is a consequence of hundreds of years of racism in the society”. In fact, generational poverty is a choice in each generation. Black children are three to five times more likely to be poor when they’re being raised by a single parent. The household wealth of a two parent black family is more than three times that of a single black family.

Obama knows this. Much like his DNC speech, he used to say these things.

“If we are honest with ourselves, we’ll admit that what too many fathers also are is missing — missing from too many lives and too many homes. They have abandoned their responsibilities, acting like boys instead of men,” he told a black church in Chicago in 2008.

“You and I know how true this is in the African-American community. We know that more than half of all black children live in single-parent households, a number that has doubled — doubled — since we were children. We know the statistics — that children who grow up without a father are five times more likely to live in poverty and commit crime; nine times more likely to drop out of schools and 20 times more likely to end up in prison. They are more likely to have behavioral problems, or run away from home or become teenage parents themselves.”

Then he continued by dismissing all the excuses that he now invokes, “yes, we need more money for our schools, and more outstanding teachers in the classroom, and more after-school programs for our children. Yes, we need more jobs and more job training and more opportunity in our communities. But we also need families to raise our children. We need fathers to realize that responsibility does not end at conception. We need them to realize that what makes you a man is not the ability to have a child — it’s the courage to raise one.”

Government and the welfare state were not going to fix the black community, fathers were.

There are some political hacks and leftist ideologues who don’t know what the truth is. They sincerely repeat lies because they don’t know any better and can’t think their way past them.

The infuriating thing about Obama was that he told the truth when it was politically convenient. And then, having won over white liberals and moderates, he pivoted to weaponizing race to divide Americans by treating black people like the perpetual victims of a racist country.

In 2023, Obama absurdly insists that black people can’t get jobs or buy houses, and that they’re still suffering from living in a perpetually racist country. Minority Republicans who want to offer a message of hope are dismissed for not “addressing some of the deep inequality that still exists in our society that tracks race and is a consequence of our racial history.”

Barack claims that there’s discrimination when it comes “to buying a house”. Which real estate agent, the one selling him his $8 million D.C. mansion or his $11 million Martha’s Vineyard mansion, objected to a half-black man buying the homes? The only people who protested Obama buying property in their neighborhood were Chicago black residents pushing back against his grandiose Obama Foundation construction project wrecking the area.

Nearly two decades after his famous 2004 post-racial DNC speech, Obama is even more of a racist hack addicted to the politics of racial division. He laughs at minority Republicans giving speeches that say, “look at me. I’m a Asian Indian-American woman. And my family came here and we worked hard. Clarence Thomas has probably gave the same speech at some point, I guarantee in some commencement, as did Alan Keyes, the first guy that I ran against.”

Scott replied to Obama by asserting, “let us not forget we are a land of opportunity, not a land of oppression. Democrats deny our progress to protect their power. The Left wants you to believe faith in America is a fraud and progress in our nation is a myth.” In this, he’s correct.

The power of the Democrats in general and Obama in particular is intimately tied up with invalidating America. As a post-racial president, Obama knew that his power would be limited, but as a crusader against a racist country, he would have the moral, if not the legal, authority to destroy all the infrastructure of an imaginary systemic racism and usher in a new world.

Obama sneers at minority Republicans for refusing to embrace unlimited power. The race card is unlimited and he has kindly lent it out even to old white guys like Joe Biden.

In ‘Obama’s True Legacy: How He Transformed America’, I wrote that, “Barack Obama was, first and foremost, a community organizer. It was central to how he thought and acted. America was just a larger community to organize through the familiar tactics of division. As a candidate, Obama had preached healing and unity, but as a national leader, his overriding agenda was to convince some that they were the oppressed and others, oppressors.”

“What happened?” Axelrod asked Obama. What happened is that Obama didn’t want to unite us, he wanted to rule over us.

Obama started out claiming that, “there’s not a black America and white America”. And that’s true, there wasn’t until he brought them into being, dividing us in order to conquer us.

Space Force general ripped for ‘ridiculous’ woke comments

'Outnumbered' panelists react to Space Force Lt. Gen. Deanna Burt's admission that she may be "compelled" to consider less-qualified candidates due to states' anti-LGBT laws.

Burt said the rising number of anti-LGBTQ+ laws “demonstrates a trend that could be dangerous for service members, their families, and the readiness of the force as a whole.”

Lt. Gen. DeAnna Burt said anti-LGBTQ state laws sometimes forced her to choose 'less qualified' candidates for postings in those states

Lt. Gen. DeAnna M. Burt is the Deputy Chief of Space Operations for Operations, Cyber, and Nuclear, United States Space Force. She was nominated for promotion to major general on May 4, 2020, and confirmed in the rank by the United States Senate seventeen days later. Burt is the first woman to hold the rank of major general in the U.S. Space Force. She previously served as the commander of Combined Force Space Component Command and vice commander of Space Operations Command from 2020 to 2022. Burt entered the United States Air Force in 1991 as a distinguished graduate of the Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps program at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. Her career has included numerous satellite operations and staff positions in Air Force Space Command and United States European Command. In June 2023, Burt gave a scathing speech at the Pentagon's Pride event, calling out "anti-LGBTQ+" state laws, saying such legislation occasionally prevents her from picking the most qualified job candidates. She also hinted at the reason behind the delay in moving Space Command headquarters to Huntsville, stating that the selection of the new home for Space Command cannot be based solely on a city or state's top-ranked qualifications.
