California Church that Defied Mask Mandate Must Pay $1.2 Million in Fines

Calvary Chapel in San Jose, Calif., is a large evangelical church that defied state and local orders to mask up during services and maintain “social distancing.” Of course, we now know that mask-wearing was about as effective against spreading COVID-19 as wearing a necklace of newt entrails and “social distancing” was a bad joke.

But it’s not the science. It’s that the church defied authorities. So now Calvary must pay the state of California $1.2 million in fines because they got bureaucrats mad at them.

So there.

Is there anyone who doesn’t think $1.2 million for not wearing masks is fair? Is it even reasonable? Vindictiveness should not be a part of the American judicial system ever, and no rational, sane person can say that a $1.2 million fine for disobeying COVID-19 mitigation efforts that have now been found to be wildly ineffective is anything but judicial vengeance.

Calvary Chapel sued the county, arguing the health orders violated its religious freedom. Various courts have ruled either in favor the church or the county.

The church and its pastors were previously held in contempt of court and fined for violating limits on indoor public gatherings. But a state appellate court reversed those decisions last year, saying that the restrictions on indoor worship services were stricter than for secular activities such as going to grocery stores.

The county continued to seek fines for violations of mask-wearing regulations.

The judge wrote an opinion that was so 2020.

“It should appear clear to all — regardless of religious affiliation — that wearing a mask while worshiping one’s god and communing with other congregants is a simple, unobtrusive, giving way to protect others while still exercising your right to religious freedom,” Superior Court Judge Evette D. Pennypacker wrote in the April 7 ruling imposing the fines.

The judge was doin’ the time warp with County Counsel James Williams.

“The county’s response to the pandemic, including the health officer’s public health orders and enforcement against entities that refused to follow the law, saved thousands of lives and resulted in one of the lowest death rates of any community in the United States,” Williams said.

That there’s no evidence for that is immaterial. It sounds wonderful.

But this is all about obedience and Calvary refused to obey and encouraged others to disobey. The church, Judge Pennypacker wrote, flouted public health orders “and urged others to do so ‘who cares what the cost,’ including death.”

Take that, you devout Christians, you.

That bit about “who cares what the cost including death” is not applying any law — it’s a rhetorical flourish in a legal opinion that doesn’t belong. Pennypacker is way off the reservation by claiming that the Calvary church leaders didn’t care if people died. That’s a ludicrous statement and reveals the judge’s anger that her previous orders were not obeyed.

Anger has no place in a legal opinion.

This one will make its way through the courts and may even wind up at the Supreme Court. What’s certain is that these fines are meant to retaliate against a group of people who defied public health orders.

The U.S. government is spending over $5 billion on an effort to speed up the development of new COVID-19 vaccines and treatments, a Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) spokesperson and a Biden administration official said on Monday.

The investment, dubbed “Project NextGen”* and first announced by White House and HHS officials in an interview with the Washington Post, aims to provide better protection from coronaviruses, including the one that causes COVID-19, that might become future threats.

*As a brief aside, this sort of cute nicknaming of every government agenda seems somewhat new. It’s hard to imagine a leader of the yesteryear, like Abraham Lincoln, expending effort to come up with glitzy PR-originated marketing terms, like “Operation Unity” or whatever for the Civil War. He would likely have considered it beneath the dignity of the office. Does semantical engineering like this have the effect of infantilizing the public by assigning catchy, fun titles to nefarious government projects in order to assuage suspicion of them?

President Joe Biden’s administration will spend a minimum of $5 billion in collaborations with the private sector, an approach similar to that of the “Operation Warp Speed” project under former President Donald Trump that accelerated the development and distribution of vaccines in 2020.

These are not “collaborations with the private sector.” They are large-scale transfers of public money into private coffers, gifting pharmaceutical corporations (who pay it forward to politicians and bureaucrats in the form of kickbacks on the back end) with billions in taxpayer money to develop new products. Those firms then monetize the products developed using public funds, giving nothing back to the taxpayer for his investment, and, in fact, price-gouging him in the market. So, they get you both ways.

This is true fascism in the sense that Benito Mussolini meant it: the “merger of corporate and state power.”

The infusion of a $5 billion investment, at minimum, will help catalyze scientific advancement in areas that have large public health benefits for the American people, with the goal of developing safe and effective tools for the American people.

The project, set to be based at HHS, will coordinate across the government and with the private sector on advancing a pipeline of new vaccines and treatments, the HHS spokesperson said. It will cover all phases of development from lab research and clinical trials to delivery.

None of this is necessary for the development of new medical products. The global pharmaceutical industry raked in $1.48 trillion in revenue in 2022. These companies have more than enough money to fund their own research and development. It’s a needless subsidy of one of the most profitable industries in human history.

A mother in Washington, DC is suing a doctor for allegedly forcing her teenage daughter and son to receive COVID-19 shots without her informed consent. NaToya McNeil claims that Janine Rethy, MD, MPH, chief of community pediatrics at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital, isolated her children in a room in a mobile clinic and refused to let them leave until they were forcibly vaccinated for COVID.1

The children, 14 and 16 years old, were at the mobile clinic for a routine annual check-up. They were given false information about vaccination requirements and were not allowed to leave the room to consult with their mother who was waiting right outside the clinic. The children had informed the doctor that their mother was available and waiting just outside the clinic with their baby brother. However, the doctor apparently made no attempt to contact the mother to obtain her consent to vaccination.

The children were misinformed that if they did not get the COVID shots they would not be able to attend school. The daughter was also injected with the meningococcal vaccine and the son was given the DTaP (diphtheria, tetanus, and pertussis) vaccine without their mother’s knowledge or consent. The mother never received a vaccine information statement for any of the products injected into her children prior to the vaccinations being administered by the doctor, which is a  violation of a safety provision in the National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act of 1986. The children were not advised how to recognize a vaccine adverse reaction or provided any information about what to do in the event they experienced a reaction.2

The daughter submitted to the doctor’s demand because she was afraid that she would no longer be allowed to attend school. The son reportedly was not even asked whether he wanted the shots at all and was injected without any discussion. He thought he had to get them because he saw that his older sister received them.3

Mother Sues for False Imprisonment, Battery, and Fraud

McNeil is suing the doctor for false imprisonment, battery, and fraud. She is strongly opposed to her children receiving all vaccines, including the COVID shots. The children were also against getting the shots and had already declined them several times in the past.4

Mcneil stated:

I just feel like people shouldn’t be able to do whatever they want to do to other people and especially not to children. As a mother, you just “took all my rights away from me to do what you wanted to do to my kids… To do that to my little children, my innocent children. They took their rights.5

While a COVID vaccine mandate was implemented by the DC City Council for children attending public schools in Washington, D.C. in July 2022, it was rescinded shortly afterward and postponed until the 2023 school year begins.6

Dr. Rethy is strongly pro-vaccine, stating, “Our goal is to increase vaccination rates in children here in DC.”7

Washington, DC Officials Want Minors Vaccinated Without Parents’ Consent or Knowledge

In December 2021, the District of Columbia City Council enacted the Minor Consent for Vaccination Act of 2020 (MCA) permitting minors as young as 11 years old to receive a vaccine recommended by the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) without their parent’s consent or knowledge when the provider determines that the child is capable of understanding and exercising informed consent. For purposes of implementing the minor consent law, a doctor can determine that a minor is capable of meeting the informed consent standard if they are “able to comprehend the need for, the nature of, and any significant risks ordinarily inherent in the medical care” and receive an age-appropriate vaccine information sheet at the time of vaccination.”8

The Minor Consent Act prohibits the insurance company from sending an Explanation of Benefits to the child’s home and the provider must send the shot record directly to the school when the child has a religious exemption, or the parents opted out of the Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine in order to prevent a parent from being made aware of their own child’s vaccination status.9 10 If a parent is unaware a child has received vaccinations, the parent cannot monitor the child for signs and symptoms of a vaccine reaction and may delay seeking medical care, which could result in the permanent injury or death of the child.

The chair of the DC Health Committee, Vincent C. Gray, shared that the DC Council quickly passed the Minor Consent Act during the first online reading  of the bill without any public testimony because “the hope of an imminent corona­virus vaccine gave the bill new urgency.”11 12
DC Council member and primary sponsor of the bill Mary Cheh explained:

And given our ongoing pandemic and the incredible work being done to develop a COVID-19 vaccine, it’s more important than ever I think that we reduce any and all barriers to these treatments and this legislation aims to do just that by increasing access to vaccines for minors who choose to get vaccinated but have not been able to do so.13 14

Minor Children Were Not Meant to Make Vaccination Decisions by Themselves

The 1986 National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act (“The Act”) passed by Congress never intended that minor children would be making vaccination decisions for themselves. Vaccine safety informing, recording and reporting provisions included in that historic law were specifically designed to give parents more information about vaccines so they can help prevent vaccine injuries and deaths. The 1986 Act stipulates that a health care provider must give a copy of vaccine information published by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), which is known today as the Vaccine Information Statement (VIS), to the “parent or legal representative of any child to whom the provider intends to administer such vaccine.”15 The CDC has confirmed on its website that the vaccine information is to be provided to the parent or legal guardian for review before  the child is vaccinated.16

Adolescents do not have the physical, mental, or emotional development to make a well-reasoned decision in healthcare matters that involve risk including death.17 Adolescents also do not have the financial means to seek medical intervention should they have an adverse reaction to vaccination. All vaccinations pose a risk of injury and death as evidenced by the establishment of the federal government’s Vaccine Injury Compensation Program (VICP) which has paid out approximately nearly $5 billion to those injured by vaccines.18 19

DC Continues the Push to Vaccinate Minors Without Parental Consent

The MCA was struck down by a DC court in March 2022 when two parents brought suit against the Mayor of Washington, DC alleging that the MCA violated their constitutional and statutory rights and that the MCA is preempted by federal law. Judge Trevor McFadden found, among other factors, that the MCA conflicts with vaccine safety provisions in the National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act of 1986.

In place of the MCA, the DC Council enacted the Consent for Vaccinations of Minors Emergency Amendment Act of 2022 (“Emergency Vaccination of Minors Act”) as an emergency measure in June 2022.  The Emergency Vaccination of Minors Act allows an emancipated minor child, a married or previously married minor child, a pregnant minor child, a homeless minor child, or any minor child who is separated from and not supported by her parents or guardian for any reason to get any vaccine recommended by the ACIP without parental knowledge or consent if the parent cannot be immediately contacted.20

The Emergency Vaccination of Minors Act further provides that a vaccine provider may vaccinate any and all minors, including a minor not falling into one of the above categories, as long as a reasonable attempt is made to obtain parental consent to vaccination by telephone, writing or in person. All that is required is an undefined “reasonable attempt” to reach the parent or legal guardian for the provider to be justified in giving a vaccine to a child. Consent to vaccination may be assumed by the vaccine provider should a reasonable attempt to notify the parent or legal guardian has been made.21

While the Consent for Vaccinations of Minors Emergency Amendment Act of 2022 has expired, the Consent for Vaccination of Minors Amendment Act of 2022 with the same provisions went into effect on Mar. 10, 2023.22

According to the CDC, all COVID-19 vaccines currently available in the United States are effective at preventing COVID-19. Getting sick with COVID-19 can offer some protection from future illness, sometimes called “natural immunity,” but the level of protection people get from having COVID-19 may vary depending on how mild or severe their illness was, the time since their infection, and their age. Getting a COVID-19 vaccination is also a safer way to build protection than getting sick with COVID-19. COVID-19 vaccination helps protect you by creating an antibody response without you having to experience sickness. Getting vaccinated yourself may also protect people around you, particularly people at increased risk for severe illness from COVID-19. Getting sick with COVID-19 can cause severe illness or death, and we can’t reliably predict who will have a mild or severe illness. If you get sick, you can spread COVID-19 to others. You can also continue to have long-term health issues after COVID-19 infection. While COVID-19 vaccines are effective, studies have shown some declines in vaccine effectiveness against infections over time, especially when the Delta variant was circulating widely. According to Pfizer and the CDC, potential side effects from the vaccine include pain, redness, or swelling at the injection site. Other side effects could include tiredness, headache, muscle pain, fever, chills, and nausea. In rare cases, people have experienced serious health events after the COVID-19 vaccination. Any health problem that happens after vaccination is considered an adverse event.

Post COVID Vaccine Heart-Related Deaths Sharply Increase, Especially in Young Males

According to a recent study by Cedars Sinai, there was a nearly 30 percent increase in deaths from heart attacks in adults 25 to 44 years old during the first two years of the COVID-19 pandemic.1 In the first year of the pandemic, the number of deaths due to heart attacks increased by 14 percent from the previous year. However, this number skyrocketed to a 29.9 percent increase by the end of 2021.2 Marty Makary, MD, professor at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and oncology surgeon believes the sharp rise in heart attack deaths in the second year of the pandemic is due to widespread use of COVID shots and not solely caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus itself.3

Dr. Makary said:

We did not see the uptake before the vaccine was rolled out, but, young people were primarily affected around that same time as well. The state of Florida did their own study, looking at heart attacks after the vaccine in particular, and found that there was an 81 percent increase in sudden death from heart attacks in the months following the vaccine compared to baseline rates. So many people do believe that the vaccine is one of the causes of heart problems in young people.4

Florida Department of Health Warns Young Men About COVID-19 Shot Risks

In October 2022, the Florida Health Department released an analysis of the COVID shots, showing that there was an 84 percent increased risk of cardiac-related deaths in men 18 to 39 years old, particularly within 28 days of getting vaccinated.  The Florida Health Department amended its guidelines as follows:

Based on currently available data, patients should be informed of the possible cardiac complications that can arise after receiving a mRNA COVID-19 vaccine. With a high level of global immunity to COVID-19, the benefit of vaccination is likely outweighed by this abnormally high risk of cardiac related death among men in this age group.5

Dr. Makary agrees with the Florida Health Department stating that healthy young adults, especially males, should not receive the COVID shots due to their link to myocarditis (inflammation of the heart), especially in young adults after the second shot. He maintains the data supports the theory that myocarditis is more common after the vaccine than after a SARS-CoV-2 infection.

Dr. Makary points out that young men are 28 times more likely to suffer from myocarditis after the shot compared to after having the viral infection, and that young men are nine times more likely to get myocarditis than young women. The long-term effects of myocarditis brought on by the COVID shots are not yet known.6

Dr. Makary explained why young adults should avoid the vaccine…

They have the lowest benefit from a vaccine because they are the lowest risk of any COVID complications. We still don’t know if any young, healthy person has ever died of COVID in the United States. The CDC won’t tell us, and they’ve never broken the data down by young people who are healthy versus had a comorbidity like leukemia or an immunosuppression condition.7

CDC Still Recommends COVID-19 Shots Despite the Risks

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) cites that between December 2020 through August 2021, there have been 52.4  cases of myocarditis per one million after the second dose of Pfizer/BioNtech’s Comirnaty messenger RNA (mRNA) COVID biologic and 56.3 cases of myocarditis per million after Moderna/NIAID’s Spikevax mRNA COVID biologic. The CDC also reports that, as of Mar. 2, 2023, there have been 1,059 reports of myocarditis or pericarditis in young people under 18 years old made to the Vaccine Adverse Events Reporting System (VAERS).8 Despite the risk of myocarditis and pericarditis, the CDC still recommends the shots to everyone over the age of six months old.9

The actual number of heart-related adverse reactions to the mRNA COVID-19 vaccine may be much higher. VAERS, which was established by Congress as part of the National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act (NCVIA) of 1986, has been found to significantly underrepresent the true number of vaccine injuries. A 2011 Harvard Pilgrim Health Care report showed that fewer than one percent of all adverse vaccine reactions are reported.10 Consequently, the true number of young adults suffering from heart inflammation and heart attacks after the COVID shots may also be vastly underrepresented in VAERS and by federal health officials at the FDA and CDC., who are responsible for the operation of VAERS.

Previous Studies Reveal Risk of Myocarditis in Young Males Post COVID-19 Shots

Several studies have demonstrated a link between COVID shots and heart inflammation. A March 2022 review of 14 studies showed that myocarditis occurred in 25-82 per million males 18 through 39 years old after the second Comirnaty (Pfizer) shot. Researchers speculate that the rates of myocarditis are higher after the second Spikevax (Moderna) shot as it has a larger amount of spike protein than Comirnaty. More than 90 percent of myocarditis occurring after the COVID shots were reported in men between 20 and 29 years old.11

A 2021 Hong Kong population cohort study looking at the occurrence of myocarditis after COVID vaccination in adolescents showed that in an almost three-month period in 2021, 33 Chinese adolescents suffered from myocarditis/pericarditis post-vaccination. Twenty-nine (87.8 percent) were male and four (12.12 percent) were female, with a median age of 15.25 years. Twenty-seven adolescents (81.8 percent) were diagnosed with myocarditis or pericarditis after getting the COVID second shot in the series, while six (18.1 percent) suffered heart inflammation after the first shot.

The rate of myocarditis/pericarditis was 18.5 percent per 100,000 vaccinated individuals. The authors concluded that there is a significant risk of developing myocarditis/pericarditis after receiving a COVID shot.12

A May 2022 Israeli study showed that there was a 25 percent increase in cardiovascular-related emergency calls made by young COVID-19-vaccinated adults between 16 to 39 years old from 2019 to 2021. Researchers did not find a similar increase in cardiovascular-related emergency calls in young adults who had recovered from a SARS-CoV-2 infection. Contrary to other studies, this study found an increase in cardiac events for females, as well as males, after COVID-19 shots in this age group.13

Fingerprints of Unvaccinated NYC School Teachers Sent to FBI

The fingerprints of unvaccinated school teachers in New York City who lost their jobs due to their vaccine status have allegedly been sent to the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) flagged with a “problem code.” These “problem code” flags in the FBI files on the fired teachers could impact their ability to obtain future employment.1

According to the attorney representing the teachers who were fired for refusing the COVID-19 vaccine:

When the city puts these problem codes on employees who have been terminated because of their unconstitutional policies, not only do they have this flag in their files, but their fingerprints are sent with that flag to the FBI and the New York Criminal Justice Services, so it impacts their ongoing ability to get employment at other places.2

New York City’s vaccine mandate forced approximately 148,000 public school staff to receive COVID shots by Oct. 4, 2021 or be placed on administrative leave. While the vaccine mandate provided for religious and medical exemptions, it did not allow for the option to test for past or current infection instead of receiving the shots.3 In practice, however, all vaccine exemption requests were denied and only 10 percent were granted after an appeal.4

“Why Is My Fingerprint Being Sent to the FBI?”

A veteran teacher of 15 years who was fired for not getting the controversial vaccine asked:

This is both outrageous and infuriating because my first question to the government or whatever, is basically, what did I do? What kind of criminal activity did I participate besides denying something that I felt that was right for me? Religiously, mentally, I just didn’t want anything experimental on my body, so what criminal activity does that persist? I don’t understand. Like with why am I being flagged? Why is my fingerprint being sent to the FBI?5

The media was alerted to what happened to the fired teachers when investigative journalist Betsy Combier wrote an affidavit in which she noted that the fingerprints of unvaccinated teachers were marked with a “problem code” and sent to the FBI and the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ).  Combier explained that when a teacher did not comply with the COVID-19 vaccine mandate, the Department of Education (DOE) put a problem code in their personnel file… 6

When the DOE puts a problem code in the employee’s personnel file, it also places a flag on the employee’s fingerprints, which is then sent to the national databases at both the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the State Division of Criminal Justice Services.7

Combier further pointed out that once a teacher provided proof of vaccination, the problem code was taken off their personnel file. New York City’s Mayor Eric Adams has denied that unvaccinated teachers had their personnel files marked with problem codes.

According to Mary Holland, JD, lead counsel for the Children’s Health Defense the “problem codes” could have a significant negative impact on the teachers’ ability to get another job as it is the same code used for someone accused of molesting, raping or injuring a child.8

Mayor Adams lifted the COVID vaccine mandate for public employees in early February 2023, but the 1,780 fired city workers did not automatically get their jobs back. City workers fired due to their COVID vaccine status are forced to reapply for their jobs and will not receive backpay if rehired.9

LETHAL INJECTIONS: 18% of Cattle DIE Immediately Following mRNA ‘Vaccination’

Much of the conversation surrounding mRNA (messenger RNA) “vaccines” centers around their impact on humans, but how about all the animals that are being injected with it?

Believe it or not, cattle are reportedly now getting jabbed with the stuff, which in a recent mass “vaccination” campaign of an Australian herd resulted in 35 of the 200 animals dying immediately.

We are told that dairy farmers and others are now being forced to inject their animals with the Fauci Flu in order to remain in business and that the animals are not responding well to it.

Just like in humans, the shots are causing such profound damage that many of the animals are succumbing to instant death, while the others are getting sick and dying over a longer period of time. (Related: mRNA spike proteins linger in the heart and brain long after injection.)

For the animals that survive, one wonders what is becoming of their milk, which gets passed on as food for other animals as well as humans. Is it safe to consume mRNA-tainted milk and cheese from a “fully vaccinated” dairy cow? The answer is probably not.

“Dairy herd DNA is altered,” one report explains. “Milk is altered and you consume it! Butter constitution, yogurt, and cheese are altered, and meat is altered – will chicken and other meats be next?

Is there any evidence at all to suggest that animals “catch” covid?

What is mysteriously absent from the “science” behind forced mRNA injections for animals is any actual evidence that animals are getting sick from covid.

Sure, all mammals have lungs. And sure, those lungs can become infected with respiratory illnesses. But does this warrant administering experimental injections to animals that are killing them just the same as they are killing humans?

The government of New South Wales (NSW), Australia, where the first cattle herds we know of are being injected with mRNA, that the official excuse for the new mRNA push is that animal herds need protection against not just covid but also Foot and Mouth Disease (FMD) and Lumpy Skin Disease. A deal was forged with a United States-based biotechnology company called Tiba BioTech that, just like Pfizer, BioNTech, and Moderna, is now raking in the dough.

“The NSW Nationals in Government are taking the threat of FMD and Lumpy Skin Disease extremely seriously, and this milestone is another step forward in preparing for a potential outbreak,” announced Deputy Premier and Minister for Regional NSW Paul Toole.

“I have now written to vaccine manufacturers to take up my challenge to develop both vaccines ready for use and manufacture in NSW by August 1 next year. COVID-19 demonstrated to us that all possible avenues in developing vaccines must be explored and we will leave no stone unturned.”

In other words, covid and people’s engineered fear of it is once again being used to fast-track at warp speed all sorts of new mRNA injections for use in both animals and humans.

“It is critical that we develop mRNA vaccines for FMD and Lumpy Skin as quickly as possible to protect our state’s livestock sector,” added Minister for Agriculture Dugald Saunders, who admitted that Tiba Biotech has been given free rein to churn out as many mRNA injections as possible to supposedly protect Australia’s $28.7 billion livestock industry.

“The threat of FMD is ongoing and there are concerns Lumpy Skin Disease could enter northern Australia this coming wet season, so it’s critical we continue to do what we can as quickly as we can,” he added.

“Current FMD vaccines use the virus itself, and there is yet to be an approved vaccine for use in Australia for Lumpy Skin Disease, so creating mRNA vaccines to combat either disease would be a game-changer for the industry. mRNA vaccines are cheaper and quicker to produce, highly effective, and very safe.”

Is Australian meat still safe to eat?

Saunders went on in a statement to claim that mRNA injections are actually safer than traditional injections because they are “fully synthetic and do not require any animal or microbial products.”

“They do not carry with them the same risks as traditionally derived vaccines,” he insists.

This is unfortunate news for folks who purchase Australian meat and other animal-derived products from Down Under, believing them to be clean and pristine. If mRNA shots for animals become the standard there, many will think twice before purchasing any more animal products from Australia.

“This is well Beyond the Thunderdome – Mad Max and his enemies were otherwise healthy survivors of a holocaust,” writes Peter Halligan about the issue on his Substack page.

“In the Australian Vaxx-Nazi world, it looks like the movement of people and their motile ability will become a thing of the past.”

The Florida Department of Health (DOH) and the State Surgeon General of Florida Joseph A. Ladapo, MD, PhD announced that the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS) showed a significant increase in reports of COVID-19 vaccine adverse reactions in Florida in the years since the introduction of COVID biologics.1

According to the DOH, since the roll out of COVID shots in early 2021, there has been a 400 percent increase in total number of doses of vaccines administered in Florida but also an increase of 1,700 percent in total number of VAERS reports from Florida during this same time period. Reports to VAERS of COVID-vaccine associated life-threatening conditions in Florida increased over 4,400 percent.2 A spokesperson for the Florida DOH confirmed that percentages were calculated based on all vaccine adverse event reports in VAERS.3

Dr. Ladapo expressed concerns regarding the safety of the COVID shots based on the increase in adverse events reported to VAERS from the state compared to the percent increase in vaccine use.4 A statement issued by the DOH read:

This is a novel increase and was not seen during the 2009 H1N1 vaccination campaign. There is a need for additional unbiased research to better understand the COVID-19 vaccines’ short- and long-term effects.5

Florida Surgeon General Writes Letter of Concern Over Safety of COVID Shots to FDA and CDC

In light of the significant increase in reports of vaccine adverse events reported to VAERS from Florida residents, Dr. Ladapo wrote a letter to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) warning of the risk of the messenger RNA (mRNA) COVID shots.6

Dr. Ladapo wrote:

In addition to Florida’s analysis of mRNA COVID-19 vaccines, academic researchers throughout our country and around the globe have seen troubling safety signals of adverse events surrounding this vaccine. Their concerns are corroborated by the substantial increase in VAERS reports from Florida, including life-threatening conditions. We have never seen this type of response following previous mass vaccination efforts pushed by the federal government. Even the HINI vaccine did not trigger this sort of response.7

He added:

Communication between physicians and patients is a standard ethical practice that is fundamental to public health. Health care professionals should have the ability to accurately communicate the risks and benefits of a medical intervention to their patients without fear of retaliation by the federal government.7

In response to Dr. Ladapo’s letter, a spokesperson for the FDA stated that the U.S. federal government has observed an increase in COVID shot VAERS reports across the country; however, he attributed the increase to greater public awareness about COVID-19 vaccines. In a written statement, the FDA spokesperson said:

COVID-19 vaccines have undergone—and continue to undergo—the most intense vaccine safety monitoring in U.S. history. Clinical research has demonstrated the safety and effectiveness of the recommended COVID-19 primary series vaccines, as well as the recommended updated vaccines.8

William Schaffner, MD an infectious disease physician at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Tennessee and a liaison to CDC’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP), said Dr. Ladapo’s letter displays a misunderstanding of the VAERS data should be used. He stated:

Just looking at numbers of reports I think is interesting, but it’s only the start of analyzing submissions. You don’t draw conclusions from that. That’s actually a misuse of VAERS data. All you know is that you have two coincidental events.9

Studies Show Risks Associated with mRNA COVID Shots

In a 2022 study published in the journal Vaccine, researchers found that mRNA COVID shots were associated with an excess risk of serious adverse events including coagulation disorders, myocarditis, pericarditis, acute cardiac injuries, Bell’s palsy, encephalitis and acute kidney injury. The study found that this risk was 1 in 550 people.10

Findings from a study published in Science Reports in 2022 raised concerns regarding mRNA shot-induced severe cardiovascular side-effects and reinforces the already established causal relationship between mRNA shots and myocarditis, which is a known cause of unexpected cardiac arrest in young people.11

The Biden administration is in the active phase of drafting a legally binding pandemic agreement that would empower the UN’s World Health Organization (WHO) to shape national policies concerning pandemic “prevention, preparedness, and response.”

Serious failures by the WHO in handling the Covid pandemic made many Americans question the supranational body’s competence, but the U.S. Health and Human Services Secretary Xavier Becerra was not one of them. On September 27, 2022, Becerra joined with WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus to announce the “U.S.-WHO Strategic Dialogue,” which provides for a “historic new financial intermediary fund” and development of a “new pandemic instrument.” That latest included, among other things, the “targeted amendments” to the International Health Regulations (IHR), a treaty the United States ratified back in 2005.

In December 2022, 194 member states of the WHO, including the United States, agreed to develop a “zero draft” of a pandemic accord set to be negotiated and finalized starting on February 27, 2023, at the meeting of the WHO’s Intergovernmental Negotiating Body.

Recognizing “the catastrophic failure of the international community in showing solidarity and equity in response to the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic,” the WHO members consider it much more productive to transfer responsibility for pandemic management to the globalist experts. In essence, the WHO will have “the central role of WHO as the directing and coordinating authority on international health work” that relates to “pandemic prevention, preparedness, response, and recovery of health systems, and in convening and generating scientific evidence, and, more generally, fostering multilateral cooperation in global health governance.”

As such, the WHO director will have the authority to declare a pandemic. The draft provides a rather vague definition of “pandemic,” which can potentially describe any and all communicable diseases. Once a pandemic is declared, all signatories would submit to the authority of the WHO regarding treatments and pandemic measures.

The definition of “pandemic-causing pathogens” is yet to be agreed upon, but the draft agreement would set up the Pathogen Access and Benefit-Sharing System (PABS), “a specialized international access and benefit-sharing instrument” whose status should be legally recognized by each signatory. The PABS will be responsible for identifying pathogens and assessing vaccines and other pandemic-related products.  

The agreement would require each nation to put in place a standardized system of policies and strategies that would involve not just healthcare institutions, but also actors “across the public and private sectors and relevant agencies” to ensure the “resilience of health systems, rooted in universal health coverage.” It is not clear how much private-sector entities such as pharmaceutical companies, whose only obligation is to be profitable, will aid in promoting public health, which arguably was undermined by their products during the Covid pandemic.

Further, the signatories will be required to “commit to increasing science, public health, and pandemic literacy in the population.” To that end, the countries will have to conduct “educational and public awareness campaigns,” likely akin to the propaganda campaigns put in place under the Biden administration to promote Covid shots.

Simultaneously, the countries will need to make sure that the populations do not consume “false, misleading, misinformation or disinformation,” which signatories will have to “tackle,” per the draft. In other words, all information that contradicts WHO would have to be censored. Again, that is exactly what happened when Biden colluded with Big Tech companies to suppress information critical of Covid measures such as lockdowns, masking, vaccines, treatments, etc.

Factors that could contribute to mistrust toward public health agencies and “hinder adherence” to policies such as vaccinations and the use of certain therapeutics and other measures recommended by the WHO should be “researched” and addressed.

The agreement would expand the regulatory powers of the members regarding “pandemic-related products,” which should be receiving “timely approval” and be available for use quickly. And, in the event of a pandemic, the members could even choose to accelerate the process of approving and licensing such products for “emergencies,” much as they did with Covid shots and therapeutics.

The draft specifically addresses the use of “substandard and falsified pandemic-related products,” which should be regulated. Judging from the WHO and Biden administration’s approaches adopted during the Covid pandemic, these positions would likely result in the wide distribution of poorly tested new vaccines, while preventing doctors from prescribing alternative generic treatments and medicines.

A group of 17 U.S. Senators led by Ron Johnson (R-Wis.) is pushing back against the outrageous plan with a legislative proposal aimed at reinforcing Senate power to sign off on such “accords.” On February 15, they introduced the “No WHO Pandemic Preparedness Treaty Without Senate Approval Act,” which states that the pandemic accord must be deemed an international treaty, requiring the approval of two-thirds of the Senate.

Government Buys 1.5 Million More Doses of Novavax’s COVID Vaccine

Biotechnology company Novavax announced that it has made a modification to an existing contract with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and the Department of Defense (DoD) to provide up to 1.5 million more doses of its Nuvaxovid COVID-19 vaccine (also known as “NVX-CoV2373” and “Covovax”), in addition to the 3.2 million doses of the shot sold to the government last year.

The modification stipulates that the government will increase public access to the vaccine and support the development of smaller dose vials, strain selection consistent with recommendations by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and an orderly transition for distribution to the commercial market.1

John C. Jacobs, president, and CEO of Novavax, said:

This agreement acknowledges the need to offer the American people a diverse COVID-19 vaccine portfolio and underscores the importance of Novavax’ partnership with the U.S. government to ensure continuous access to a protein-based option as part of public health measures.2

Nuvaxovid has not been officially licensed by the FDA but has been granted Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) by the agency for distribution to individuals 12 years of age and older.3

Nuvaxovid is a protein subunit COVID vaccine containing the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein and an adjuvant known as Matrix-M composed of saponin extracts, phospholipids, and cholesterol, which is designed to trigger a very strong immune response.4 The spike protein in this vaccine is produced in baculovirus insect cells. The Matrix M-adjuvant contains saponin extracts from the bark of the Soapbark tree that is native to Chile.5 6

U.S. Public Health Officials Hope Novavax’s Vaccine Will Appeal to Americans Worried About mRNA Shots

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) conducted an opt-in Internet survey of 1,200 COVID–vaccinated adults to assess the reasons for receiving or not receiving Pfizer/BioNTech’s Comirnaty messenger RNA (mRNA) bivalent COVID booster shot. The results showed that 22.7 percent of respondents said that they had chosen not to get the mRNA booster due to concerns about adverse reactions. This concern was more prevalent among those who were over 60 years old.7

Guy Palmer, Ph.D., a professor of pathology and infectious diseases at Washington State University, said he believed that Nuvaxovid could appeal to Americans who are concerned about the safety of mRNA shots. “There’s a slight open door there for a non-mRNA vaccine like Novavax.” Dr. Palmer said.

Robert Schooley, MD, an infectious disease specialist at UC San Diego Health, noted:

Novavax essentially uses the same approach as mRNA vaccines, but they make the protein in a factory. So they’re giving you the protein itself, rather than instructions for your cells to make a protein.8

The Nuxaxovid vaccine has been shown to cause severe adverse reactions in Phase 1 part of a Phase 1/2 human clinical trials.9 Cases of myocarditis (inflammation of the heart muscle) or pericarditis (inflammation of the membrane around the heart) were detected in Novavax clinical trials.10

In the laboratory, I’m seeing an uptick in cancers that I shouldn’t be seeing, at rates I shouldn’t be seeing, in age groups I shouldn’t be seeing. I’ve talked to colleagues around the world and they’re starting to verify it. But [health authorities] just basically marginalize you and say, ‘Oh, that’s out of the narrative, don’t look at that.’ My point of view is, if we have something novel and new, i.e. these gene injections to stimulate an immune response, we should take this approach as the French legal system… ‘guilty until proven innocent.’ Every adverse reaction, every odd pattern outside the normal after these shots should have triggered a red flag to say, we need to do an autopsy on that death that was proximate to their shot or, gosh, this patient that was healthy and well now is not so healthy and well… we need to investigate is this related to this new experimental modality that we’re putting on to a broad world population.

Top O’ the Briefing

Happy Tuesday, dear Kruiser Morning Briefing friends. Bethany really thought that the vest she made out of healing crystals would have been a bigger hit at the monthly Mendocino Cat Fancy meetup.

A couple of stories have popped up recently that don’t inspire hope for the competency of the next generation of American physicians. As if we already didn’t have enough about the future to make us worry.

The first that caught my eye was a video that Ben shared at the beginning of the month in a post titled: Medical Schools Sacrifice Entry Standards at Altar of Racial Equity.

Prominent law and medical schools are throwing standardized entrance exams and merit out of the window to keep affirmative action alive long past its expiration date.

Leftists will no doubt say I object to this because I’m a knuckle-dragging conservative racist. While it’s true that I’ve never bought into the whole “standardized tests are culturally and racially biased” canard, it’s because I think is actually more racist than the racism it purports to be highlighting.

I’m just saying that an across-the-board lowering of entrance standards for medical school MIGHT be fraught with unpleasant consequences. Maybe I’m old-fashioned, but I think it should be more difficult to become a physician, not easier.

Yeah, I have trust issues when it comes to the medical profession. Ben has some interesting comments on the overall state of healthcare in the United States at the end of his post. I highly recommend reading them.

Catherine wrote a post yesterday that has some real head-scratching stuff in it:

Harvard Medical School (HMS) is focused on protecting health — by putting “climate change” ideology in its M.D. curriculum. Because after fifty years of failed climate doom predictions, as well as recent evidence global warming is a hoax, Harvard is of course following the science… by putting leftist ideology ahead of scientific data. And elites wonder why people don’t trust the medical establishment.

Catherine goes on to cite the Harvard Crimson, which explains that “The new climate change curriculum will examine the impact of climate change on health and health inequality” and a bunch of other leftist lunacy.

The only health impacted by climate change is the health of American taxpayers’ wallets, which are besieged by the leftists in the federal government who gouge them to prop up the green boondoggle.

So… the fiction that props up the biggest grift in America is going to be taught to future physicians at one of the top medical schools in the country.

Comforting, no?

It’s stunning to think that the doctors of tomorrow will be preparing to save lives by studying a fairy tale at what used to be the most respected university in the United States. I don’t want to be rushed to a hospital in my later years and be assigned a youthful physician who has a blank stare and is more interested in whether I have solar or wind power than what’s ailing me.

Early on in the education indoctrination push in America (which I wrote about in Don’t Let the Hippies Shower), it was clear that the people at the top knew that they were pushing an agenda that was full of b.s. It’s been going on for so long now, however, that I think that they all believe their own lies. It’s an infinite loop of prevarication over in Prog Land. They’ve reinforced their lies so many times that they accept them as truth.

Those who originally orchestrated leftist indoctrination in academia (seriously, read my book) have turned out an army of brainwashed foot soldiers to take over for them, so we’re only going to see things get worse.

One thing is certain: I’m all in on being a health nut now. I don’t want to expire at the hands of Dr. Woke.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has decided in its infinite wisdom to add COVID-19 shots to the standard vaccination schedule for both adults and children.

According to its updated schedules, the CDC now recommends that all children six months to 15 months old have a two-dose or three-dose main series and booster and that all children 18 months and older get the same vaccinations, explains the Daily Wire.

As we’ve reported many times here at PJ Media, children are largely unaffected by COVID-19 while the long-term effects of the vaccines are still not yet known, and studies have shown that the Moderna and Pfizer vaccines are more likely to cause myocarditis in young males than natural infection from COVID. Studies also suggest that there’s anywhere from a 1-in-5,000 to a 1-in-6,000 chance of myocarditis in young males who receive the second dose of an mRNA vaccine.

While some children have certain health conditions that may put them at risk, COVID is less deadly to kids than the seasonal flu. In fact, unvaccinated kids are at a lower risk of death from COVID than fully vaccinated adults of any age. Last summer, the Wall Street Journal reported that various studies have all shown that children are at an “extremely slim risk from dying from COVID-19.”

The most troubling thing about this is that it will give schools political cover to require kids to be vaccinated against COVID-19 in order to attend. Other countries aren’t even recommending that young kids be vaccinated at all. Last year, health officials in Sweden decided against recommending COVID vaccines for kids aged 5-12, arguing that the benefits don’t outweigh the risks.

Despite recommending the COVID vaccines, the CDC acknowledges that the shots are not covered by the National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program.
