UPDATE 2:05 p.m.: Fox News is reporting that at least ten U.S. servicemembers have been killed today.

Today marks the first time since February 2020 that American military forces were killed in action in Afghanistan.

Two suicide bombings killed at least 40 people today, and wounded another 120, outside of the Hamid Karzai International Airport. One attack occurred at the airport’s Abbey Gate and the other was very near the Baron Hotel, where U.S. and UK military and journalists are staying.

The attacks today killed four U.S. Marines and injured another three, marking the first American military deaths in Afghanistan since February 8, 2020, when two American soldiers were killed in a suicide bombing.

The soldiers killed on February 8, 2020, were Sgt. 1st Class Javier Jaguar Gutierrez, 28, of San Antonio, Texas; and Sgt. 1st Class Antonio Rey Rodriguez, 28, of Las Cruces, New Mexico.

Both soldiers were assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 7th Special Forces Group (Airborne), Eglin Air Force Base, Florida.

The names of the U.S. Marines killed today have not yet been released.

The situation in Afghanistan remains fluid and information is rapidly coming in.

TAKE ACTION: Biden Sabotaging Glenn Beck’s Massive $30 MILLION Effort to Rescue Christians Stranded in Afghanistan

The U.S. State Department is flying unvetted Afghani Muslims to America while stopping Christian Afghanis from fleeing to other countries willing to give them refuge.

Last Wednesday, Glenn Beck, in an impassioned plea to his faithful radio audience, sounded the trumpet for a call to action to save the persecuted Christians in Afghanistan. Working in tandem with the Nazarene fund, Mr. Beck requested his listeners to donate “to the point of hurting” to acquire the planes needed to shuttle Christians out of the chaos of the current Islamic takeover by the Taliban.

Starting with a generous $100,000, in 3 short days, Mr. Beck had raised over $22 million for the Christian organization. Today, they reached the $30 million mark.

With the donations, Mr. Beck and the Nazarene fund have purchased 20 airliners. But, unfortunately, the movement has been slowed down due to red tape by Joe Biden’s U.S. State Department. The Nazarene Fund lept through all the government’s necessary hoops such as; acquiring the personal information and passports for all the Christian refugees, gaining the assent of host countries to accept the Christians (ironically, not including America), providing paperwork in English, Arabic, and other languages for processing, and a slew of other bureaucratic details that hamper the speed of such missions.

Despite following all of the U.S. Statement Department’s requests, Glen Beck explains that “most of the 20 airlines are sitting on the tarmac waiting for the U.S. State Department clearance”. They are refusing to allow Afghani Christians to cross the border to another country without their approval. Ironically, the U.S. State Department is flying unvetted Afghani Muslims to America while stopping Christian Afghanis from fleeing to other countries willing to give them refuge.

Because of the State Department, the area surrounding the airport has been in chaos. Christian refugees and those Afhghani supporters of our American military are not allowed through the airport gate. As a result, flights were grounded for nearly three days. People awaiting a rescue evacuation are now going for nearly a week without food, without water, and without the ability to charge their cell phones, which act as a vital lifeline between them and their families and friends.

Glenn Beck

on Tuesday

Oh happy day! While we slept, @thenazarenefund was busy loading planes. This was the second plane load of Afghanistan Christian refugees leaving Kabul.
More to come! Thank you for your prayers and kindness. We heal ourselves when we heal others.

May be an image of one or more people, people standing and outdoors
May be an image of one or more people, people standing and outdoors

Thankfully, on Monday and Tuesday night, the State Department finally approved the Nazarene Fund’s first two flights out of Afghanistan. About 1200 Christian refugees were loaded onto the two planes and flown to safety. However, many of the passengers suffering from dehydration needed to wait an additional six hours for IVs and medical supplies before takeoff.

The critical deadline set by the Taliban to remove all Americans from the country is August 31st. On Monday, CIA director William Burns met with Senior Taliban leader Abdul Ghani Baradar in Kabul. Despite their meeting, the Taliban did not extend the timeline for American evacuations was not extended. Baradar was imprisoned for 8 years in a Pakistan prison for his connection with terrorist attacks but was released in 2018.

After the Aug. 31st deadline, the Taliban vows to institute Sharia throughout the country. That means Islamic apostates who converted to Christianity, of which there are over 15,000, will most likely be slaughtered. Women will be required to wear full burkas, covering everything, including a mesh for the eyes, and not allowed outside without a male relative as a guardian. And Americans stranded will be used as bargaining chips to free more terrorists. Already, there are reports of the Taliban going door-to-door in hunt of Christians.

John Weaver, author of the book, Inside Afghanistan, says like ‘sheep among wolves,’ Afghan Christians are under threat of death, and many have already fled their home towns for other cities. The Taliban are looking for people who have left Islam and who are now following Jesus,” Weaver explained. “So, it is a desperate time for our brothers and sisters, and we need to stand in prayer with them and advocate for their situation.

The Nazarene Fund now has the capability to fly hundreds of passengers out of Afghanistan every 30 minutes. But due to Biden’s anti-Christian and anti-American State Department, that has not been happening.

Take Action: How You Can Help

U.S. State Department remains the last major impediment for the Nazarene fund and Mr. Beck to save persecuted Afghan Christians.

Would you please call your State Senators and Congressman and ask them to find out why the U.S. State Department is stopping the evacuation of persecuted Christians from Afghanistan? It is important to remember these persecuted Christians are not coming to America but are still being held up by the Biden’s State Department.

If you’d like to contribute to the effort to help Christians evacuate Afghanistan to a safer country, visit The Nazarene Fund.

Please continue to pray for all those trapped in Afghanistan seeking to get out of harm’s way.

Forty Years of Misunderstanding Islam~When will it be time to listen to what the jihadists tell us about their faith-based hostility and ambitions?

The debacle in Afghanistan is first and foremost the consequence of the Biden foreign policy team’s spectacular incompetence. Setting a date-certain withdrawal was in itself a blunder, signaling the Taliban that all they had to do was to keep telling us what we wanted to hear and then wait, but withdrawing troops and abandoning Bagram airbase before evacuating our citizens was willful stupidity. It left the Afghan army vulnerable and ceded the skies to the enemy. So too was leaving behind billions in advanced armaments for the Taliban. There’s no question that Biden’s name will forever be linked to one of the worst military blunders in the postwar period.

But an older error set the stage for bad decisions that have empowered modern jihadism for forty years––the failure to understand the true nature of Islam as documented in 1400 years of practice and doctrine. As a result, we have pursued policies based on delusion and false paradigms.

The first mistake was our misreading of the 1978-79 Iranian Revolution and the kidnapping of our embassy staff in November 1979. Jimmy Carter’s feckless response followed the stale narrative of anti-colonial resistance to our Cold War self-interested disregard for aspirations to national self-determination, political freedom, and human rights. Our ally the Shah of Iran, despite Iran’s geostrategic and economic importance, fell victim to Carter’s naïve belief that “moral principles” and “idealism” were more significant than military readiness and a realist willingness to use force to protect our national interests and allies. Misled by that paradigm, Carter withheld support from the Shah, assuming that a secular coalition would replace him.

Locked in the paradigm of neo-imperialist resistance to movements of nationalist self-determination, Carter failed to understand the true origins of the Iranian Revolution. In reality, the revolution was a religious phenomenon, a response to the Shah’s modernization and secularization policies such as emancipating women and protecting minorities like Jews and Baha’is. The Ayatollah Khomeini, godfather of the revolution, made this motive clear in 1963 when he said the Shah’s regime was “fundamentally opposed to Islam itself and the existence of a religious class.”

Missing too from Carter’s thinking was the historical role of jihad in Islamic reform movements. Khomeini’s sermons and books, the latter dismissed by our security agencies, were clear on the religious obligation to create a political-social order based on Islam and Sharia law. And the means for achieving it was jihadist violence and martyrdom. After he took power in Iran, Khomeini articulated the violent nature of jihad: “Islam is a religion of blood for the infidels but a religion of guidance for other people.” And its goal is the global triumph of Islam: “We shall export our revolution to the whole world. Until the cry ‘There is no god but Allah’ resounds over the whole world, there will be jihad.” Such statements are consistent with Koranic verses such as “Slay the idolators wherever you find them,” or “Fight those who do not believe in Allah,” or “O you who believe! Fight those of the unbelievers who are near to you and let them find in you hardness,” or “Kill them wherever you find them.”

None of this historically venerable doctrine seemed to have penetrated the minds of our foreign policy experts. National self-determination and reforms to institute governments based on Western principles–– human rights, separation of church and state, confessional tolerance, and equal rights for women––became the goal of our involvement in the Muslim Middle East.

This belief became stronger and adopted a missionary zeal after the collapse of the Soviet Union, which was interpreted as a victory for the Western “rules-based international order,” global free trade, liberal democracy, and human rights, all of which were presumed to be desired by all the world’s diverse peoples and cultures. This “new world order,” as George H.W. Bush called it, met its answer in the jihadist attacks on September 11, 2001, which culminated a decade of unanswered al Qaeda attacks on our military assets and personnel abroad.

George Bush Jr. responded by likewise promoting universal liberal democracy as the answer to the persistence of jihadism: “The United States must defend liberty and justice because these principles are right and true for all people everywhere. . . . America must stand firmly for the nonnegotiable demands of human dignity: the rule of law; limits on the absolute power of the state; free speech; freedom of worship; equal justice; respect for women; religious and ethnic tolerance; and respect for private property,” as he wrote in the National Security Strategy in 2002. In his second Inaugural speech, he reiterated this Wilsonian idealism, linking it to national security: “The survival of liberty in our land increasingly depends on the success of liberty in other lands. The best hope for peace in our world is the expansion of freedom in all the world.”

These naïve generalizations ignored or whitewashed the essential nature of Islam as seen in 14 centuries of doctrine and practice. The late-14th century writer Ibn Khaldun, one of the greatest Islamic historians and philosophers, wrote in the Muqaddimah, “In the Muslim community, the holy war is a religious duty, because of the universalism of the Muslim mission and the obligation to convert everybody to Islam either by persuasion or by force.” When we see Muslim groups like the Taliban, al Qaeda, the Islamic State, the mullahs of Iran, and others killing and dying in fealty to this traditional religious imperative, it is dangerous blindness for Western secularists to claim that there is no connection between Islam and jihadist terrorism.

Yet that’s what we’ve been doing going back to the Clinton administration when his Secretary of State Madeleine Albright called Islam “a faith that honors consultation, cherishes peace, and has as one of its fundamental principles the inherent equality of all who embrace it.” Ask the frightened women of Afghanistan, desperate to escape the Taliban’s Sharia-based brutal practices, about the notions of “inherent equality.” Bill Clinton took the same tack when he praised Islam’s “deepest yearning of all––to live in peace,” a claim refuted by 14 centuries of Islamic invasion, occupation, plunder, and enslavement, all justified by the Koran, Hadiths, and Muslim jurisprudents and philosophers like Ibn Khaldun.

George W. Bush likewise indulged such ahistorical apologetics: Islam’s “teachings,” he proclaimed, “are good and peaceful, and those who commit evil in the name of Allah, blaspheme the name of Allah.” But what we call “evil” to pious Muslims like Khomeini or Osama bin Laden or the Taliban are sacred duties to fulfill the will of Allah that the whole world embraces Islam, the one true religion. It bespeaks Western arrogance to tell pious Muslims what their scriptures really mean.

With such a depth of historical ignorance, no wonder that Bush’s attempts to create a liberal democracy, with Western notions of individual rights, found Afghanistan barren soil; or that Barack Obama and now Joe Biden are anxious to cut a deal with members of a faith that historically has seen such negotiations and treaties with infidels as temporary expedients to be violated or discarded when they have achieved their aim as commanded by Mohammed: to wage jihad “until the cry ‘There is no god but Allah’ resounds over the whole world.”

This feckless failure of imagination, this inability to see a different culture and faith in its own terms, rather than reshaping them by imposing our own, is an important factor in the disaster in Afghanistan: thousands of Americans now virtual hostages, billions in armaments in the hands of a sworn enemy, American prestige damaged for the benefit of Iran, Russia, and China, and NATO allies snubbed. And don’t forget the thousands of Afghans, many of whom wanted to reform their faith and reconcile it with modernity, but are now the targets of heinous retribution.

Understanding the truth of traditional Islam is not a condemnation of every one of the 1.6 billion Muslims. Millions and millions of them have no doubt managed to remain faithful without endorsing the sacralized violence of Islamic doctrine and practice. But we don’t know what proportion of the ummah, the global Muslim community, falls into that category. Our government’s primary responsibility is to protect our citizens’ security and interests, and that means our focus must remain on the Muslim traditionalists who are very clear about those beliefs that our leaders have been marginalizing as a “hijacking” of the faith, or the “heresies” of a renegade minority.

After 20 years of failure in Afghanistan, perhaps it’s time to listen to what the jihadists tell us about their faith-based hostility and ambitions. Maybe then we can avoid the misguided idealism that has endangered our security and interests, and condemned thousands of Muslim reformers to a gruesome fate.

BREAKING: Kabul Airport Under Terror Attack, Reported Suicide Bombing

Multiple Marines have been killed in several blasts at Kabul airport. (AP) Two suicide bombers and gunmen targeted crowds massing near the Kabul airport Thursday, in the waning days of a massive airlift that has drawn thousands of people seeking to flee the Taliban takeover of Afghanistan. At least 13 people were killed and 15 wounded, Russian officials said. A U.S. official said the complex attack was “definitely believed” to have been carried out by the Islamic State group, whose affiliate in Afghanistan grew out of disaffected Taliban members who hold an even more extreme view of Islam. The U.S. official said several U.S. Marines were killed in the blast, and a number of U.S. military members wounded. Both The Wall Street Journal and Fox News are currently reporting that four Marines were killed and three were wounded.

UPDATE 11:08 a.m.: A second explosion has been reported at the Baron Hotel, where many Americans are being housed.

UPDATE 10: 45 a.m.: Fox News reports that at least three U.S. troops have been injured in the attack at the Abbey Gate. Jennifer Griffin reports that this is a “complex attack” including both explosives and a gunfight.

Numerous news outlets are reporting that there has been an explosion outside the Abbey Gate at Hamid Karzai International Airport (HKIA) in Kabul, Afghanistan. Reports indicate it may be a mix of a suiciding bomb and improvised explosive device (IED) attack.

The threat of terrorist attacks at the besieged airport has been all too real since Kabul fell to the Taliban last weekend. The U.S. State Department issued a warning late Wednesday telling Americans not to travel to the airport unless they had been specifically instructed to do so by government personnel. The Taliban, ISIS-K, and al-Qaeda are all known to be in the area. The State Department’s warnings have centered on the threats from ISIS-K.

The Taliban has issued mixed messages and has reportedly blocked and beaten some Americans and Afghans who were en route to the airport, which is the only way out of Afghanistan.

Fox News is now reporting that a gunfight has erupted outside the airport. As many as 5,000 people may be standing outside that gate in the desperate crush to leave the country after Joe Biden’s hasty retreat, in which he decided to close Bagram Air Base and pull the military out before making sure all civilians had departed. Closing Bagram closed two runways and leaves the U.S. military without an effective base of operations other than the surrounded airport.

The United States withdrew its 2,500 troops to meet Biden’s conditions but has since deployed about 6,000 to 7,000 more troops in response to the need to secure HKIA after the Taliban captured Kabul and declared control of Afghanistan.

An unknown number of Americans remain in Afghanistan. Secretary of State Antony Blinken seemed to suggest that fewer than 1,000 remain during his press briefing Wednesday, but two U.S. congressmen, a Democrat and a Republican, secretly traveled to Kabul this week and say the number is likely much higher, and that getting them all out by Biden’s August 31 deadline — or even the 20th anniversary of 9-11 — is impossible.

Update: Reports from the ground are beginning to come in.

Afghanistan: $2.26 Trillion of Your Money Spent, Much Squandered on Lavish Palaces for Corrupt Officials

PREVIOUS PRESIDENTS & PRESIDENT TRUMP OUT TO LUNCH, RESPONSIBLE FOR  CORRUPT AFGHAN OFFICIALS, WASTE OF AMERICAN TAXPAYERS' MONEY

Over the last twenty years in Afghanistan, 2,443 Americans were killed and 20,666 were wounded, as $2.26 trillion were spent in the quixotic and foredoomed hope of transforming the graveyard of empires into a stable, Western-style republic. But if you were to go to Afghanistan today to try to see the effect of all this profligate spending (which I wouldn’t actually advise, under the circumstances), you’d have an easier time spotting how American money was put to use in the luxury homes of former Afghan government officials rather than, obviously, in actual successes in pushing back the Taliban.

Americans got a telling glimpse of their taxpayer dollars at work in Afghanistan when the Taliban on August 15 entered the residence of General Abdul Rashid Dostum in Mazar-i-Sharif. Dostum was a marshal in the disgraced and dissipated Afghan National Army, and served as first vice president of Afghanistan (which had two, because you can never have too much of a good thing) from 2016 until February 2020. He was a vociferous foe of the Taliban and a key U.S. ally when the first Taliban regime was toppled, although his relationship with Washington later soured (he was accused of war crimes) to the degree that, even while serving as first vice president in the American-backed Afghan government, he was barred in 2016 from entering the U.S.

Nevertheless, he remained an integral part of the government that the U.S. was propping up, and so when Taliban jihadis filmed themselves walking around his unbelievably opulent residence, it was hard not to think about all the rusting bridges, trestles scrawled with graffiti, and pothole-laden roads in America, and wonder if our taxpayer money might have been put to better use. Dostum’s place was what Caesar’s Palace would look like if it were remodeled by a multi-billionaire who thought the original was too modest and austere. Dostum’s place was what the Palace of Versailles would look like if it were remodeled by the Real Housewives of New Jersey.

How could this dedicated military officer and public servant possibly have amassed the funds to pay for his Disneyland dream palace? Why, you and I paid for it, along with all the other American taxpayers. And that’s by no means all that we bought. Dostum wasn’t the only Afghan official who got a luxury home. A report in the UK’s Daily Mail on Saturday noted that “one powerbroker at a Kabul bank used a web of fake firms to make fraudulent loans to ministers, officials and warlords, leading to losses equivalent to one-twelfth of the size of the country’s economy. The bank also spent £117 million [$164 million] on 35 luxury villas on Dubai’s Palm Jumeirah island complex, which it used for entertaining.” One unnamed Afghan vice president (they had so many) grabbed $52 million in cash and took off for Dubai, where the parties were no doubt hearty.

In sum, “the waste of taxpayers’ money was astonishing, with ‘ghost’ schools and military forces, counter-narcotic efforts that backfired, dodgy construction and fuel deals siphoning off billions, and cash and gold smuggled out through Kabul airport.” The Pentagon even spent $5.4 million on Tuscan goats imported from Italy into Afghanistan in order to give a boost to the nation’s cashmere industry: the Italian goats were supposed to mate with Afghan goats and create a hardier stock. But the project was botched from the beginning, and the goats simply disappeared. Asked if they had been eaten, John Sopko, the special inspector general for Afghanistan reconstruction, responded: “We don’t know. This was so poorly managed.” There went $5.4 million in taxpayer money.

Some money was spent on projects that made some superficial sense, until one pondered them for a minute or two: “Take the spending of £32 million [$44 million] on a single natural gas fuel station – 140 times more than a similar one in Pakistan – only to discover it cost more than the average annual income for Afghans to convert their cars to drive on natural gas, so there was little use.”

The Daily Mail report adds: “At one point, the US Congress estimated £3.3 billion [$4.4 billion] – equal to 22 per cent of Afghanistan’s GDP – was being smuggled out of the country, with two-thirds of this illegally earned.”

Imagine if even some of this money had been restored to its rightful owners via lower tax rates, or put to use in the United States. Nothing was too good for our Afghan allies, while Americans struggled economically and the American infrastructure crumbled. But the “America-First” president was an egregious upstart who had to be removed at all costs.

Joe Biden Is Now the World’s Top Arms Supplier to Terrorists

The dust hasn’t settled in Afghanistan. The crisis that has erupted since Joe Biden decided to abandon Bagram Air Base and the rest of Afghanistan will continue long past his arbitrary August 31 deadline. After that, the people of that country will be subjected to pogroms the likes of which have not been seen since the Vietnam communists and the Khmer Rouge swept across southeast Asia, killing untold numbers along the way. A refugee crisis is already underway and will eventually become a major issue for Afghanistan’s neighboring countries and Europe. It’s no exaggeration to say that Biden has destabilized much of the world along with fracturing U.S. alliances across the board.

Afghanistan may well descend into a full civil war. ISIS, or ISIS-K, is now present in Afghanistan, and reportedly is a bitter enemy of the Taliban. There remain tribes and groups in that country resolutely opposed to Taliban rule. The main questions concerning them are whether they will continue to put up a fight, and how long can they last? They lasted 20 years while the NATO allies had troops in the country, and for years before that during the Taliban’s first rule. But the Taliban 2.0 control more territory than they did on 9-11 and have new aces to play.

Joe Biden has made the task of anyone who opposes the Taliban extremely difficult going forward. They will not have U.S. combat, intelligence, or advisory services at their backs. They will not have American airpower to call upon. Biden continually refers to “over-the-horizon” anti-terror capability, but that’s nearly non-existent and may dissolve further as America’s standing collapses. Those Afghan groups will also fight against a Taliban that has reportedly captured billions of dollars in American military hardware.

Thus far it hasn’t been possible to get a straight answer out of the Biden administration as to how much functional gear was left behind. That’s not likely to change at any point, though Congress can and must investigate if for no other reason than to determine the extent of the threat the Taliban can pose within and outside of Afghanistan. It could be one of the better-armed military forces in Central Asia, if not the world.

The Hill looked at just how much gear may be in play. Its findings are both eye-watering and extremely worrying.

Between 2003 and 2016, the United States transferred 75,898 vehicles, 599,690 weapons, 162,643 pieces of communications equipment, 208 aircraft, and 16,191 pieces of intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance equipment to Afghan forces, according to a 2017 Government Accountability Office report.

From 2017 to 2019, the United States also gave Afghan forces 7,035 machine guns, 4,702 Humvees, 20,040 hand grenades, 2,520 bombs and 1,394 grenade launchers, among other equipment, according to a report last year from the Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction (SIGAR).

As of June 30, Afghan forces had 211 U.S.-supplied aircraft in their inventory, a separate SIGAR report said.

At least 46 of those aircraft are now in Uzbekistan after more than 500 Afghan troops used them to flee as the government in Kabul collapsed over the weekend.

Some undetermined number of those aircraft will not function for long, not without aircraft maintenance crews. So expect the Taliban to contract with China for that work. Biden denied maintenance to the Afghan government, which is one reason it collapsed so quickly. It lacked air support, which was one of its key advantages over the Taliban, which up to now had no air force. As long as the Taliban looks the other way regarding China’s treatment of the Uighurs, it’s likely to get aircraft services from its new partner. Or Russia. They won’t be picky about it. So the Taliban has gained the aircraft to build up an air force. It may lack pilots for now, but Pakistan, China, or Russia may help train some.

Setting all of that aside, let’s assume maybe half of those vehicles were functional when Biden ordered the hasty and unprotected withdrawal of American forces. Assume the same for everything else, which is being very generous to Biden. There was a program to disable some of the weaponry and detonate some of the explosives before the withdrawal, but that could not have been an exhaustive enterprise. Certainly, none of the gear that had been given to the Afghan military was disabled, and much of that has been surrendered to the Taliban. No doubt much of all this gear is functional and is being used. We know this because the Taliban are appearing in propaganda videos using U.S. vehicles, uniforms, and weapons. They’re being seen in media reports doing the same. There’s no question that the Taliban are armed with the gear Biden left behind. According to Rep. Jim Banks, the gear goes well beyond guns and trucks.

Stunningly, Banks said the Taliban is now in possession of “more Black Hawk helicopters than 85 percent of the countries of the world.”

While the weapons are extremely concerning, Banks said the U.S. technology left behind will be devastating to the Afghan people in the hands of the Taliban.

“They have night vision goggles, body armor, and unbelievably, the Taliban now has biometric devices which have the fingerprints, eye scans and biographical information of all of the Afghans who helped us and were on our side over the last 20 years,” he explained.

The total value of the gear left behind may be around $85 billion. Let’s assume that just half of it is still functional. That’s still a massive infusion of arms and gear to the Taliban. The Biden administration can quibble over one thing — the Afghan Taliban is not technically designated as a terrorist group — but the Pakistani Taliban is.

Recommended: SCOTUS Rules Against Biden on the Border. What Next?

There is no question in most people’s minds what the Afghan Taliban is. It’s a brutal, extremist, repressive armed insurgency (at least) that never broke with al-Qaeda, and is now the ruling emirate government of Afghanistan. The Biden administration would be unwise to play word games over this, but unwise actions seem to be all they know how to take.

It can’t quibble with this: Joe Biden’s decision has led to vastly upgrading the Taliban’s arsenal, making him the world’s top arms supplier to them because he chose to leave American weapons behind (before choosing to leave Americans behind, which he is in the process of doing right now). He also donated a country to them, a country that more than 2,300 Americans died to keep out of their hands. No other country is donating more than $42 billion (about half of the $85 billion in gear reportedly left behind) in modern military gear to the Taliban or any other similar group. Most countries can’t even come close to affording that.

Biden has also armed the Taliban at the very same time he has thrown the border wide open and seeks to make it more difficult for law-abiding Americans to exercise our Second Amendment rights of self-defense.

Kabul Airport: ‘Total, Complete Chaos, Unsanitary Conditions and Rapidly Declining,’ Rubio Warns

With the Taliban-imposed Aug. 31 deadline for the United States to pull out of Afghanistan, Sen. Marco Rubio warned Tuesday night that the real deadline to leave actually is much sooner.

“That’s not even the deadline. That’s the deadline for the last plane to take off; the true deadline is probably Thursday, Friday, Saturday,” Rubio told Sean Hannity on Fox News. “But that’s what you get with a White House that’s incompetent and a president who seems, quite frankly, oblivious to all of this.”

Hannity pressed, “We are going to leave our fellow Americans behind?”

The Floridian explained the logistical challenges and added, “This is not Noah’s ark where you put everyone on there and get them out at one time.”

Rubio elaborated that the deadline for America and its allies to get out is misguided and should have only been a goal, not a set date.

The Senate Intelligence Committee vice chair and senior Senate Foreign Relations Committee member claimed the situation at Hamid Karzai Airport is “total, complete chaos, unsanitary conditions and rapidly declining.”

Referring to the botched withdrawal and evacuation, Rubio claimed, “When history looks back at this moment, this will be covered as one of the worst catastrophes in American foreign policy history.”

Rubio, who’s long believed the current tragedies would occur if President Joe Biden irresponsibly pulled troops out, also targeted much-maligned Joint Chiefs Chair General Mark Milley.

“This is what you get when a president is completely out of touch with reality, and then we have a chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff who spends his time worrying about White Rage. Don’t worry about White Rage, General Milley, worry about the Taliban and the Americans who are going to be killed by them because of your botched efforts,” Rubio explained.

Later in the show, Sen. Lindsey Graham called for Biden to be impeached, saying, “He should be impeached; this is a dereliction of duty by the commander-in-chief.

When not abandoning his dog en route to his sister’s house, disgraced former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo handed out four commutations on his final day in office, with one grabbing the most attention.

David Gilbert, a former Weather Underground terrorist and father of far-left San Francisco District Attorney Chesa Boudin, is now eligible for parole.

Gilbert is 40 years into a 75-years-to-life sentence for stealing nearly $2 million in cash and killing three people — two of them police officers — in upstate New York. Gilbert was convicted on three counts of second-degree murder and four counts of first-degree robbery for his role in the heinous 1981 crimes.

Cuomo referred Gilbert to the Parole Board and praised his “significant contributions to AIDS education and prevention programs” along with his work as a tutor, library clerk, paralegal assistant, and various programs. Boudin had lobbied Cuomo for his father’s release.

Judith Clark, another Weather Underground terrorist, who drove the getaway car during the deadly robbery, received a commutation from Cuomo a few years ago.

Former Lieutenant Governor Kathy Hochul became New York’s first female governor at midnight Tuesday morning.

CIA Director Meets With Taliban Leader Begging For an Extension

Former Navy SEAL's message to Biden goes viral amid chaos in Afghanistan

CIA Director William J. Burns held a secret meeting in Kabul on Monday with the Taliban leader Abdul Ghani Baradar, as the United States looks for an extension of Biden’s own deadline of August 31 to remove all Americans from Afghanistan.

The Taliban said yesterday that they see the August 31 date as a “red line” and will refuse to grant the U.S. additional time to leave.

CNBC:

A Taliban spokesman told Sky News that the group will not accept such an extension.

“It’s a red line. President Biden announced that on 31 August they would withdraw all their military forces. So if they extend it that means they are extending occupation while there is no need for that,” Suhail Shaheen said, according to the report.

“If the U.S. or U.K. were to seek additional time to continue evacuations, the answer is no. Or there would be consequences,” he added.

The Taliban spokesman added that it would “provoke a reaction” if Biden extended the withdrawal deadline.

Exactly what that veiled threat means is unclear but the Taliban could cause a lot of problems for the U.S. in trying to get its people out of Afghanistan. Currently, the airport from which the evacuations are taking place is extremely vulnerable to external attacks. The Taliban is providing security, but what if they were to pull their protection? This would be the least disruptive move they could make if they don’t agree to an extension of the August 31 deadline.

Washington Post:

The Biden administration is under pressure from some allies to keep U.S. forces in the country beyond the end of the month to assist the evacuation of tens of thousands of citizens of the United States and Western countries as well as Afghan allies desperate to escape Taliban rule.

Britain, France and other U.S. allies have said more time is needed to evacuate their personnel, but a Taliban spokesman warned that the United States would be crossing a “red line” if it kept troops beyond the 31st, which he said would trigger unspecified “consequences.”

The Taliban is scoring propaganda victory after propaganda victory. The U.S. appears as a supplicant coming before the mighty Taliban begging for consideration for their helpless ones.

It’s sickening.

It will be impossible to evacuate all the Americans from Kabul who want to leave because the administration has no idea how many Americans there are living in the city or where many of them are. They also can’t possibly evacuate all the at-risk Afghans who assisted American forces during the occupation and who would be executed if the Taliban got their hands on them.

It’s going to take weeks — perhaps months — to finish the job of safely evacuating those who are in danger. And the way the Taliban is talking, they have no intention of giving the United States that much of a grace period to get the job done.

Defense Department spokesman John Kirby says it’s still possible the evacuation could be completed by the end of the month.

“We are well aware of the stated desire by the Taliban to have this mission completed by the 31st of August, I will tell you that we are still planning on completing it by the 31st of August. That is the mission that has been signed by the commander in chief and assigned to us and that’s what we’re trying to execute,” Kirby added.

Earlier on Monday, the U.S. military confirmed a brief firefight broke out at one gate into Kabul’s Hamid Karzai International Airport.

According to the White House, 48,000 people have been evacuated from the Kabul airport since August 14. Even with the rescue effort ramping up by the military commandeering civilian aircraft to facilitate the evacuation, it would take at least a couple of weeks to get just the Americans out, not counting our Afghan allies and their families.

The situation will come to a head sometime early next week.

Afghanistan: Taliban torture and butcher nine men from largely Shi’ite Hazara minority

There is another important angle to this that the report below, true to establishment media form, doesn’t mention: around 10 percent of Afghanistan is Shi’ite, and almost all of that ten percent are Hazaras. But any Islamic jihad aspect of a story is certain to be ignored or downplayed in establishment media reports.

“Afghanistan: Nine ‘tortured and butchered in mountains’ by Taliban,” by Jonathan Prynn, Evening Standard, August 20, 2021:

Taliban fighters massacred nine men from Afghanistan’s Hazara ethnic minority last month in a “horrifying indicator” of what may lie ahead, says a report from Amnesty International.

The human rights group detailed how the men were butchered after the Taliban took control of the mountainous Ghazni province in the centre of Afghanistan.

Six of the men were shot and three were tortured to death, including one man strangled with his own scarf. He had his arm muscles sliced off.

Another man was so heavily shot in the chest he was buried in pieces, according to witnesses.

One of the victims, 75-year-old Sayeed Ahmad, had insisted the Taliban would not harm him because of his age and that he intended to return to his village to feed his cattle. He was executed with two bullets to the chest and another in his side….

With thousands of Americans still trapped in Afghanistan, hundreds of Afghan ‘refugees’ arrive in Virginia

Who knows how many jihadis are among them? No one! And remember: if you express any concern about that, you’re a racist, bigoted “Islamophobe,” and probably a violent extremist.

“Afghan evacuees face confusion, separated families as they land in Northern Virginia,” by Jess Arnold, WUSA, August 21, 2021:

DULLES, Va. — Hundreds more Afghan refugees flew into Dulles International Airport on Saturday as volunteers worked to get them housing and support.

National Airlines flew in close to 270 refugees in the afternoon after the U.S. government contracted them to help aid in the evacuation.

One man, Zamir Sultani, said his sister was stuck on that very plane for hours with no information about when she and other passengers would disembark.

“My sister is a type I diabetic, and she’s not feeling that good. They’ve been sitting there hours and waiting to get out. and my dad is a dialysis patient, and he’s also stuck there,” Sultani said. “All of them are sitting in the plane, and nobody is even telling them what’s going on.”

Sultani said he worked as an interpreter for the U.S. in Afghanistan for years before immigrating to the states in 2010.

As of 9:30 p.m., he said his family had reached the customs line but still expected more processing afterwards.

Another woman, whose sister was on a plane from Qatar after working on the air base there, said refugees were lined up in a separate part of customs….

Afghanistan: Biometric data collected by US military and Afghan government now in hands of Taliban

Not only does the Taliban have lists of the names and phone numbers of every Afghan who worked for US in the past two decades, but the Taliban is also in possession of sophisticated biometric data machines (Handheld Interagency Identity Detection Equipment-HIIDE). The implications are disastrous.

HIIDE devices contain identifying biometric data such as iris scans and fingerprints, as well as biographical information, and are used to access large centralized databases.

US Marine Special Operations Command veteran Peter Kiernan stated: “We would go into villages and enroll people into this biometric data system.” Thousands a day.

Kiernan went on to say — in part — how this information was used:

…in identifying bomb-makers, while it was also used to confirm the identities of contractors and locals working with the US military.

In 2016, the Taliban “used a biometric reader to identify bus passengers who were members of the security services in a violent ambush that claimed 12 lives.”

It’s not only Afghans who are now in danger. Kiernan warned that beyond the contractors and locals, it is “probable that the Taliban have access to some of the coalition’s biometric data” as well.

An Army Special Operations veteran also disclosed another enemy that has long posed as a friend to America: Pakistan. He stated that “the Taliban may need additional tools to process the HIIDE data,” and expressed concerns that the Pakistani Spy Agency ISI “would assist with this.”

In light of Biden’s disastrous incompetence, also worrying is that he previously proposed a budget for 2022 which sought “more than $11 million to purchase 95 new biometric collection devices expanding upon those used in Afghanistan and Iraq.” What he intends to do with these purchases isn’t disclosed, only the capability of the devices:

“This updated database will make it more efficient for warfighters to collect, identify and neutralize the enemy,” wrote Col. Senodja Sundiata-Walker, project manager for the Pentagon’s biometrics program.

But as we see in the case of the biometric data in Afghanistan, the database could easily fall into the wrong hands.

Add the HIIDE equipment to the billions of dollars worth of American aircraft, equipment and weaponry that are now at the Taliban’s disposal.

Joe Biden is so incredibly incompetent that his debacle in Afghanistan increasingly resembles deliberate sabotage.

“Afghanistan: Will fingerprint data point Taliban to targets?,” by Chris Vallance, BBC, August 20, 2021:

“We would go into villages and enrol people into this biometric data system,” US Marine Special Operations Command veteran Peter Kiernan recalls.

“You had a device about 12 inches by six inches wide. It would scan their fingerprints, it would scan their retina, it would also take a picture of them.”

It’s been a busy week for Mr Kiernan. In Afghanistan, he was in charge of 12 local interpreters. Some are still in the country when we speak, and he’s trying to help them leave.

For those who worked with US forces, leaving is a matter of urgency.

A United Nations document recently seen by the BBC says the Taliban are intensifying their hunt for people who worked for, and collaborated with, Nato and US forces.

And the giant stores of biometric data collected by both the US military and the Afghan government could, some argue, pose a risk to those facing reprisals.

Brian Dooley, a senior adviser to activist group Human Rights First, told the BBC’s Tech Tent podcast that while very little was definitively known, “a very educated guess would say that [the Taliban] either has or is about to get their hands on an enormous amount of biometric data”.

Using handheld devices called HIIDE (Handheld Interagency Identity Detection Equipment), soldiers like Mr Kiernan would add the details of Afghans to a US biometric store.

He said it was useful in identifying bomb-makers, while it was also used to confirm the identities of contractors and locals working with the US military….

(Natural News) As much as Donald Trump was accused by the left of being incompetent and incapable when it came to domestic and foreign policy, his presidency was, by any measure, one of the most successful in the history of our country.

Trump created one of the best economies we’ve ever had; there were more jobs than there were available workers (full employment, in other words), wages had risen for all demographics, companies were expanding, and opportunities abounded. He cut our taxes and raised our energy independence to a level unseen since the 1960s. Our military was strong, and though he was criticized frequently for his boorishness by our allies, our enemies respected him — and us, by default.

Trump’s administration made historic peace deals in parts of the world that had been at each other’s throats for decades. And he had a plan to get our military men and women out of Afghanistan after 20 years.

But then, his reelection was literally stolen from him (come on, everyone with a couple of brain cells to rub together knows that’s true) and now we’re stuck with a frail, old man who has dementia (but we’re not supposed to notice or mention it). And his foreign and domestic policies — well, the policies of the people behind the scenes pulling the wires and calling the shots — are a disaster.

Energy prices are going up, and we are becoming dependent again on foreign producers. There are jobs a-plenty, but because we’re paying people to stay home via outsized unemployment benefits under the guise of ‘COVID relief,’ there aren’t enough workers to full availabilities, so our businesses are suffering and they can’t expand.

Our military remains strong but is becoming infiltrated with woke, left-wing, Marxist ideologues who hate the founding principles of the country they swore an oath to defend. Our enemies think Biden’s a joke and are emboldened to act (they will soon, too, wait and see), while our allies worry that Biden and his handlers won’t be there for them if they get into trouble.

Consider the debacle pull-out of Afghanistan: Biden ordered it in April (remember when Trump ordered everyone out by May 1?), and yet, this past week as U.S. forces pulled out they did so hastily, chaotically, and without rhyme or reason after having months to prepare, leaving behind thousands of Americans in the process.

Think of it: As of this writing, there are thousands of American citizens trapped in Afghanistan — after we’ve been there for two decades and after having had months to plan our withdrawal.

The very first duty of a president is to serve and take care of Americans; he has utterly failed in that responsibility, that much we know. But it gets worse.

This week, as pandemonium swept across Afghanistan with the advance of Taliban forces, Biden wasn’t worried about that situation. No.

He was far more concerned with forcing state-managed local school districts to force children to mask up as they head back to classrooms this fall — because he claims to ‘care’ about school children.

Let’s be frank about this: It’s not that Biden ‘cares’ so much about public school kids. It’s that his left-wing Marxist handlers hate it when a Republican governor or leader pushes back on their authoritarianism because they think they are entitled to ‘rule’ over America rather than govern with our consent.

Fortunately, some of those same governors — like Florida’s Ron DeSantis — aren’t having it. He’s calling Biden out for his abject hypocrisy.

“You have all the stuff going on with Afghanistan – obviously all the stuff at the southern border … one of the biggest border disasters in the history of our country, inflation, gas prices, and what does he do?” DeSantis said this week on Fox News‘s “Hannity.”

“He is obsessed with having the government force kindergartners to wear masks all day in school,” DeSantis added. “In Florida, we believe that that’s the parents’ decision. Joe Biden thinks the federal government should come in and overrule the parents and force these young kids to wear these masks.”

Biden isn’t in charge, we know that. We also know those people running his administration don’t really care about saving American lives.

Taliban’s regulations for women will send chills down your spine~Taliban Sets Woman On Fire For ‘Bad Cooking’ & MUCH MORE ABUSIVE TREATMENT OF WOMEN

BY ASHLYN DAVIS

republished below in full unedited for informational, educational & research purposes:

Conventional media have put all their resources into whitewashing the brutalities of the Taliban and giving them an image makeover, so as to make them acceptable to the modern world and perhaps win these mountain savages a seat at the United Nations. They tell us that Taliban 2.0 is a whole different entity and is not comparable to the Taliban that had wreaked havoc in Afghanistan from 1996 to 2001. After all, the Muslim group has promised to honor women rights and allow them to continue to work as usual. Little girls could receive education as well.

We are a little confused by the Taliban’s commitment to permitting girls to go to school, because quite recently, Taliban jihadis were going door-to-door hunting down girls as young as twelve years old, to take them as sex slaves. We have learned of a woman being lashed for wearing revealing slippers and another burka-clad woman being shot dead for not covering her face enough. And these atrocities have happened under the rule of the moderate, women’s-rights-acknowledging Taliban 2.0.

Leaders of the Muslim outfit have clarified their views on women’s rights in the country: “The rights of women will be under the Sharia law,” affirmed Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid, during their first press conference since conquering Kabul.

And what are the rights granted to women by this esteemed Islamic law? Let’s look at the “rights” Afghan women enjoyed during Taliban 1.0 from 1996 to 2001; or shall we call them impositions?

Women were not allowed to walk out of their homes without a burqa covering every inch of their skin, including their feet, hands and face. Most women during that period opted for the shuttlecock burqa that covered them from head to toe; there was a little gap for the eyes, but with a net or mesh covering the gap so that their eyes couldn’t be seen. It was mandatory for every woman to be accompanied by a male family member – a blood relative – while she was out on the street.

No man should be able to hear the footsteps of a woman, hence, high heels or any kind of footwear that produced a sound while walking were banned from use by women.

A woman’s voice must not reach the ears of a man who is not related to her. Hence she must watch the level of sound she was producing while talking. Would it be “Islamophobia” if we said that the Taliban had perfected the textbook version of silencing a woman?

Again, as women were prohibited from being viewed by men who were not related to her by blood, it was mandatory that the windows of all ground floors be painted in a dark tint, covered, or shut at all times, just in case a woman passed by and became visible to a man in the ground floor.

Also, women were barred from standing at the balconies of their houses, as that could allow men on the streets or male neighbors to catch a glimpse of them.

The word “woman” was removed from all public places or names of public places.

Women were precluded from having their pictures taken or being filmed. No images of women could be printed on the pages of books or newspapers, or kept at stores or in homes.

It goes without saying that women were not allowed to be in movies or on television, or to work at radio stations. They were forbidden from forming groups outdoors or holding public gatherings.

Women have never been allowed to work in offices under the Taliban. They cannot work as journalists, bankers, teachers, nurses, doctors or hold administrative positions, as these jobs would land them amidst male colleagues who are not related to them. Office jobs held by women were subsequently passed on to their male family members.

Little girls were banned from going to school. Numerous schools imparting education to girls have been bombed or burned down by the Taliban, not only in Afghanistan, but in several countries where they have gained the slightest foothold.

No woman under the Taliban rule in Afghanistan ever enjoyed the basic human right of speaking her mind or dressing as she liked. Women who flouted any of the above commandments were subjected to harsh, undreamed-of and ruthless punishments by the religious police. They could be stoned to death, mutilated, or given hundreds of lashes with a meter-long metal lash. Many of these women perished in the midst of receiving their penalty.

Afghanistan in 1996 witnessed a young woman’s finger being chopped off by the Taliban; she had dared to paint her nails. A woman named Bibi Aisha was forced into a nightmarish marriage as a trade-off to settle a family dispute. When she tried to escape the violent and abusive marriage, the Taliban, to shame her for her act of disobedience and to set a warning example for the other young women in the community, severed her nose and ears.

One must be an absolute ignoramus living in denial to even begin to trust that the Taliban will leave the Afghan women alone this time.

Taliban Sets Woman on Fire for 'Bad Cooking'

There’s more at stake in Afghanistan than U.S. prestige or the future of Joe Biden’s presidency. Millions of women in Afghanistan who were just starting to assert their rights as females are now condemned to being sent back to the Middle Ages under the Taliban’s notion of “women’s rights.”

Admittedly, the Afghanistan version of women’s liberation, even with the presence of thousands of American troops, was unrecognizable to most western women. Strictures placed on female behavior as well as opportunities for employment had been dictated by the Islamic religion. And there are other Muslim countries with almost as severe rules and regulations women must abide by as they will be forced to in Taliban Afghanistan.

But freedom of any kind must be nurtured and encouraged. The Taliban would destroy any hope of a future for Afghan women and girls.

Related: Former British PM Tony Blair Says Biden’s Withdrawal From Afghanistan Is ‘Imbecilic’

As an illustration of what Afghan women are in for, one activist tells what happened to a woman forced to cook for the Taliban.

Taliban fighters allegedly set a woman on fire for “bad cooking,” as other women in Afghanistan go into hiding and reportedly being forced into sex slavery.

“They are forcing people to give them food and cook them food. A woman was put on fire because she was accused of bad cooking for Taliban fighters,” activist and former Afghan judge Najla Ayoubi told Sky News.

Fox News:

Ayoubi fled the country when the Taliban began taking more control of Afghanistan, and said she has since received multiple reports of violence against women. She added that she has also heard many female activists are in hiding due to fear of violence.

“There are so many young women are being in the past few weeks being shipped into neighboring countries in coffins to be used as sex slaves,” she said.

“They also force families to marry their young daughters to Taliban fighters. I don‘t see where is the promise that they think women should be going to work, when we are seeing all of these atrocities.”

The Taliban had announced with much fanfare after the fall of Kabul that they would respect all women’s rights granted by the Koran. Needless to say, few believed that was a good omen for women in Afghanistan.

CNBC:

Across multiple media networks, there have been countless reports and pictures of people, including women and children, being beaten by the ultra-conservative Muslim militants.

There’s a “major disconnect” between what is said to the media and what happens in reality, Heather Barr, interim co-director of the women’s rights division at Human Rights Watch.

In an article on HRW’s site, she said Taliban militants have closed entire schools for girls in recent months and years.

“The Taliban spokesman has continued to pledge respect for women’s rights, but his claims ring more hollow than ever,” she said.

The Taliban — and ISIS — claim they represent Islam in its “purest” form. More mainstream Muslims strongly disagree with that, but their opposition to the Taliban has been muted largely because they are advancing the cause of Islam — imperfectly, in their eyes, but advancing it nonetheless.

Now, this pure form of Islam — that countenances the burning of a woman because she supposedly can’t cook — is getting the light and oxygen to thrive when it should have been driven off with a stick. Ultimately, radical Islam will lose because they refuse to utilize 50 percent of the brainpower, creativity, courage, and energy found in the female members of the species.

We can only hope they remain as stupid about women in the future as they are today.

'Disaster on Every Level' As Biden Closes Kabul Airport and Orders Commercial Airlines to Aid the Evacuation

republished below in full unedited for informational, educational & research purposes:

The Biden administration was forced to close the Kabul airport as the chaotic, catastrophically planned evacuation of American citizens from Afghanistan is overwhelming state department employees with too much paperwork.

There are thousands of people — mostly Afghan civilians who collaborated with the U.S. military — waiting at the airport to be rescued. According to the British military, seven Afghans have died at the airport from the heat and the crush of people.

Can it get any worse? Why yes. Yes, it can.

ISIS has issued a warning to Americans looking to leave Afghanistan. This precipitated a warning from the U.S. embassy for Americans to avoid going to the airport.

Does Biden expect people to walk home from Afghanistan?

Do you want “worse”? How about the Pentagon not knowing what the State Department is doing?

The threat from ISIS is being taken very seriously. Islamic State would like nothing better than to embarrass their mortal enemies, the Taliban by sending a suicide bomber into the densely packed crowds at the airport.

The Pentagon has been analyzing the events in and around the area, CNN reported. The main concern at the moment is that the large crowds gathering around the airport and surrounding areas could create a situation in which ISIS can attack. The most pressing concerns seem to be about potential suicide bombers and car bombers, CNN reported.

“There’s a whole canopy of security concerns we have,” Pentagon press secretary John Kirby said at a press briefing Saturday, as he described the military “fighting against both time and space” in its effort to safely evacuate people.

But it appears that the president shut the airport in order to allow the bureaucrats to catch up with the paperwork.

The US State Department announced it was closing the airport for at least 48 hours to concentrate on processing the hundreds already inside.

With the scenes outside the besieged airport growing ever more desperate, the US military had resorted to dispatching helicopters into the Afghan capital to ferry terrified evacuees unable to reach the terminal.

On Saturday afternoon it locked the airport gates, saying no more people would be allowed in until the huge backlog of refugees and fleeing nationals had been cleared.

The situation is deteriorating every day. Thousands of Americans still need to be evacuated and before it was shut down, huge cargo planes capable of holding hundreds of evacuees were taking off from the airport with only a handful of people on board.

The administration has activated a little-known law that would give the government the power to order civilian airlines to supply them with airlift capability.

The Department of Defense will compel commercial airlines to help with the evacuation of Afghans and U.S. personnel from Afghanistan, the third time that the U.S. has activated what is known as the Civil Reserve Air Fleet (CRAF).

Eighteen aircraft will be used, including 3 from American Airlines, 3 from Delta Air Lines, 3 from Atlas Air, 3 from Omni Air, 2 from Hawaiian Airlines and 4 from United Airlines. The planes will not be going to Hamid Karzai International Airport in Kabul, Pentagon press secretary John Kirby said in a statement, but will transport people from “temporary safe havens and interim staging bases.”

Begging your pardon, Mr. President, but shouldn’t all this planning have been done before you allowed the Taliban to walk into Kabul?

In truth, the civilian planes would not be flying to Kabul. They would be picking up evacuees at our bases in Qatar, Bahrain, and Germany and ferry them…somewhere. The Americans will go home, of course, but what about the 20,000 Afghans who are on the way? If the evacuation had been accomplished competently, those Afghan collaborators would have been sent to nations that helped the coalition efforts. That’s not likely to happen now.

Who the hell is in charge?

Sharia also sanctions violence against women: the Qur’an teaches that men are superior to women and should beat those from whom they “fear disobedience”: “Men have authority over women because Allah has made the one superior to the other, and because they spend their wealth to maintain them. Good women are obedient. They guard their unseen parts because Allah has guarded them. As for those from whom you fear disobedience, admonish them and send them to beds apart and beat them.” — Qur’an 4:34

Muhammad’s child bride, Aisha, says in a hadith that Muhammad “struck me on the chest which caused me pain, and then said: ‘Did you think that Allah and His Apostle would deal unjustly with you?’” — Sahih Muslim 2127

An another hadith states: “Rifa`a divorced his wife whereupon `AbdurRahman bin Az-Zubair Al-Qurazi married her. `Aisha said that the lady (came), wearing a green veil (and complained to her (Aisha) of her husband and showed her a green spot on her skin caused by beating). It was the habit of ladies to support each other, so when Allah’s Messenger came, Aisha said, ‘I have not seen any woman suffering as much as the believing women. Look! Her skin is greener than her clothes!’” — Sahih Bukhari 7.77.5825

“Shot, stabbed Afghan woman whose eyes were knifed out by Taliban says they ‘torture us,’ feed remains to dogs,” by Sarah Taylor, The Blaze, August 19, 2021:

An Afghani woman by the name of Khatera says that the Taliban will not respect or honor women’s rights despite the terrorist group’s assertions otherwise.

In a Monday interview with India’s News18, Khatera, 33, recalled the horrific attack that took place in 2020 when her father — a former Taliban fighter — tipped off the Islamist militant group that his daughter was employed.

Women, under Sharia law, are not permitted to work.

In October, Khatera said that her father, who remains unnamed at the time of this reporting, purportedly conspired with the Taliban to stage an attack on her as she returned home from work one day.

During the attack, Khatera — who worked for the police at the time — was shot at least eight times, stabbed, and had her eyes knifed out of their sockets before Taliban fighters left her for dead.

She was pregnant during the horrific attack.

“It’s tough for the world to imagine what we built in the past 20 years,” she told the outlet. “We built dreams. Now they are gone. It’s all over for us. Women who work with the government or police were being hunted and threatened even before the Taliban had taken over the country. Now, the concern has gone beyond letting women work. At this point, I am scared if they would leave these women alive. They don’t just kill women — they make animals feed on their bodies. They are a blot on Islam.”

Khatera said that the Taliban does not view women as “living, breathing human beings,” but “merely some meat and flesh to be battered.”

“[The Taliban] first torture us and then discard our bodies to show as a specimen of punishment,” she said. “Sometimes our bodies are fed to dogs. I was lucky I survived it. One has to live in Afghanistan under the Taliban to even imagine what hell has befallen on women, children, and minorities here.”…

Poland deploys troops along Belarus border to combat Muslim ‘migration warfare’~Lithuania building wall to ‘protect border of democracy’ from surge of Muslim migrants

Poland and other Baltic nations are accusing the President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, of sending migrants across their borders and “of using the migrants as instruments in a hybrid war.”

Despite the history of jihad, and the extensive information available about Islamic conquest — which includes stealth invasion via immigration and massive birth-rates — Western globalists continue to fall into the trap of open borders. Jihadists routinely infiltrate refugee streams, and although it is often repeated that jihadists are only a few Muslims, this assertion is misleading. There are Islamic nations that fund jihad, and Islamic nations that persecute religious minorities in the name of Islam. These are major issues; so are surveys that demonstrate widespread Muslim support for the Sharia, which is central to Islam. The majority of Muslims do support Sharia — which according to mainstream Islam is divine and irrefutable.

Sharia and democracy are incompatible. A flood of Muslim migrants will change the values of non-Muslim societies over time. We already see this happening with the “Islamophobia” subterfuge in operation at every turn in Western countries now. Free speech is the cornerstone of all democracies and free societies; yet criticizing Islam has become in the West an “offense” worthy of punishment. Western freedoms are being chipped away, amid bad policies that failed to protect Western values.

Kudos to Poland for defending its democratic republic. The Polish Defense Ministry stated that he “government´s priority is the safety of Polish citizens.”

In 2017, “thousands of Catholics formed a human chain along the borders of Poland on the anniversary of an historic victory by Europe over the Ottoman Empire officially to pray for peace and ‘against the Islamisation of Europe.'”

“Poland Deploys Troops to Belarus Border to Combat Migration Warfare,” Associated Press, August 18, 2021:

WARSAW, Poland (AP) – Poland has deployed hundreds of troops and is laying barbed wire along its border with Belarus to stop the arrival of migrants seeking to enter the country, officials said Wednesday.

Defense Minister Mariusz Blaszczak said more than 900 Polish troops were involved in the border operation. It’s believed that most of the migrants trying to cross over from Belarus are originally from Iraq, with some from Afghanistan and Syria as well.

Poland, like the Baltic nations of Lithuania, Estonia and Latvia, accuse the authoritarian government of Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko of sending migrants across their borders, which also form part of the European Union´s eastern border.

A deputy interior minister in Poland, Maciej Wasik, tweeted images of rolls of barbed wire laid along the border. The Defense Ministry said that barbed wire now runs for nearly 100 kilometers (60 miles) of the 418-kilometer (260-mile) Poland-Belarus border and that enough to cover another 50 kilometers most vulnerable to illegal border crossings would be installed soon.

The Defense Ministry said Wednesday that 2,100 people tried to illegally cross the border so far this month. Of those people, border guards prevented 1,342 from entering Poland and 758 “were detained and imprisoned in closed centers.”

“The government´s priority is the safety of Polish citizens,” the ministry said in a statement. The government, which is led by the right-wing Law and Justice party, “has been opposed to illegal and uncontrolled migration from the outset” and believes the migrants trying to get in from Belarus “maybe pose a threat to our citizens.”

Two lawmakers from the opposition party Civic Platform party brought blankets, sleeping bags and food to a group of some 50 people trapped in a no-man´s land between Poland and Belarus on Wednesday. They called on the Polish government to ensure the group was given humane treatment.

Poland and the Baltic nations accuse Lukashenko of using the migrants as instruments in a “hybrid war.” They believe his government has acted in retaliation to EU sanctions imposed on Belarus following Lukashenko’s reelection last year in a vote which the West saw as rigged, as well as for harsh repressions of Belarusian protesters….

Lithuania building wall to ‘protect border of democracy’ from surge of Muslim migrants

Kudos to Lithuanian leaders. Lithuania is a tiny country which has stood up for its citizens, amid serious globalist bullying. The term “border of democracy” perfectly describes what all Western countries faced with illegal border entries should have erected years ago to protect their citizens. No reasonable person has historically opposed responsible immigration and refugee assistance, but open-borders mass migration is a different phenomenon that strips immigrants of all responsibility to their new country. Such a system provides a free-for-all opportunity for jihadists and the worst criminals. Yet such policies have been advocated by globalists who are enabling the red/green axis of Marxists and Islamic supremacists.

Meanwhile, law-abiding citizens of the West are forced to adhere to a different set of rules, including strict border controls, especially during the coronavirus lockdowns. Lithuanian leaders have exposed the character of Western leaders who have failed to act to protect their country’s best interests, even some who call themselves conservatives, such as UK’s Boris Johnson government.

“Exclusive: ‘Border of Democracy’ – Lithuanian MP on Why Country Is Building a Wall to Stop Illegals,” by Kurt Zindulka, Breitbart, August 15, 2021:

A Lithuanian MP has told Breitbart News that her country will stand firm in protecting the “border of democracy” as Belarusian dictator Alexander Lukashenko continues to attempt to weaponise illegal migration against the European Union.

This week, the parliament in Lithuania declared a “state-level extreme situation” in regards to the growing migrant crisis, in which some 4,000 illegal aliens — mostly from Iraq — have crossed the border between Belarus and the small EU member-state.

The Lukashenko regime has been accused of actively facilitating migrants from Africa and the Middle East crossing the border, with many seeing it as a response to the EU sanctions imposed on the former Soviet bloc nation in June.

In response, the Lithuanian parliament voted in favour of erecting a border fence with Belarus this week.

In an exclusive interview with Breitbart London, Lithuanian MP Dovilė Šakalienė said: “We are not living in one big state, there are states and there are borders.”

“We have to protect ourselves because this is the border of democracy. Our eastern border is the end of the EU and the end of democracy,” she said.

Šakalienė said that the scale of illegal migration into Lithuania, which has increased fifty-fold over 2020, with some 4,000 illegal migrants crossing the border, demonstrates that “this is not a natural migration”.

“Through surveillance, we see that the Belarusian border force is actively assisting migrants to come to the Lithuanian border,” she said, backing up claims from the European Union’s border agency, Frontex, which claimed to have drone footage proving Lukashenko’s regime has been facilitating the illegal crossings of the border.

Poland, another EU member-state bordering Lithuania and Belarus, has also seen record border crossings from the latter in recent days, mostly of Afghans and Iraqis.

Following the sanctions imposed on Belarus by the European Union after Minsk used a warplane to force a Ryanair flight to Lithuania to land in the country to arrest a prominent critic of the government, the Lukashenko regime has been accused of flying in migrants from Iraq in order to flood the border.

Šakalienė said that “so-called tourism agencies” in Iraq have been advertising “European excursions” for thousands of dollars per migrant, promoting the “lie” from Lukashenko that there is no border between Belarus and Lithuania.

“When these people come, they are in a mousetrap because of course our border is secure and they cannot pass. It’s easier for migrants to understand what’s going on if there is a border fence, that it was deceit, they were defrauded by Lukashenko’s regime that there are no walls and that they can enter the European Union.”….

War Is Over, But Now Leftists Want Reparations to Taliban

BY ROBERT SPENCER

republished below in full unedited for informational, educational & research purposes:

Richard Burgon, a member of the British Parliament for the far-Left Labour party and Secretary of the Socialist Campaign Group of Labour MPs, demonstrated Tuesday that the Left’s commitment to the redistribution of wealth is indefatigable: He declared that what the West really needs to do now is start forking over money to the Taliban. Burgon tweeted: “The crisis in Afghanistan is the result of 20 years of disastrous military intervention. Just as in Iraq & Libya, backing US-led invasions led to a huge loss of life. There is no military solution in Afghanistan. The focus now should be on reparations and supporting refugees.”

Yes, reparations. Paying reparations to Afghanistan would essentially mean funding the Taliban, which has a billion-dollar budget as it is and has no need of the largesse of British or American taxpayers. And Burgon is not alone. Britain’s far-Left Stop the War Coalition issued a statement Sunday demanding that the British government “take a lead in offering a refugee programme and reparations to rebuild Afghanistan, an act which would go a great deal further in advancing the rights of the Afghan people, women in particular, than continued military or economic intervention in the fate of the Afghanistan.”

The call for reparations to the Taliban has been heard on this side of the Atlantic as well. Shabana Mir, an associate professor at American Islamic College in Chicago, first implied that Afghanistan didn’t need any help from the West: “The Western savior narrative vis-a-vis Afghanistan is a framing of Afghanistan as in need of Western help, as dependent on Western help — rather than as a Western-exploited and Western-ravaged people and land.” Then, however, she added: “The U.S. owes s**tloads of reparations to Afghanistan.” The U.S. should have no say in how this money is used: “I have hopes that Afghans can build, if military contractors and the U.S. would get the hell out of the way.”

Meanwhile, far-Left Canadian “journalist” Paul Jay believes that “there must be significant reparations paid to the Afghan people to be administered by the U.N.” Another Leftist “journalist,” Spencer Ackerman, who was primarily responsible ten years ago for getting all mention of Islam and jihad removed from U.S. counterterror training, asked: “What do we owe the Afghan people? We owe them a life they can live, resettling them in the United States if they so choose, and we owe them reparations. Reparations is a charged word, and I do not use it here to suggest that reparations for the descendants of the enslaved ought to wait until we pay reparations for the War on Terror. I mean here that throughout history, the losers of wars have had to pay reparations, though typically to the regimes and not people. But it is people whom the U.S. owes, not regimes.”

Great. But anyone who realistically appraises the situation for longer than five seconds (yes, that leaves Leftists out) will understand that any attempt to aid the Afghan people at this point will have to go through the Taliban, and the Taliban is likely to have other priorities altogether. If Biden’s handlers are crazy enough, and they may well be, to start sending “reparations” to Afghanistan, the Taliban would likely use the money the way the Islamic Republic of Iran used the billions in cash that Barack Obama sent it: to strengthen its military forces and to finance global jihad terrorism. This is why protesters in Iran recently chanted “Not Gaza, not Lebanon, the money for Iranians”: They’re tired of seeing their nation’s wealth used to aid jihad activity abroad while the Iranian people are suffering. The Taliban, which is just as committed to the global jihad as the Iranian mullahs are, would likely use any Western largesse in the same way, and with the same indifference to the plight of their own people.

Even aside from that, the idea of paying reparations to the Taliban is as insane as the idea of paying reparations is in other contexts. The American people (and the British) have already paid exorbitant amounts in taxes to finance the Afghan military misadventures, which dragged on for twenty years in the absence of a clear mission or goal. Now, are they to be bled dry even more to finance a rebuilding of Afghanistan that the Taliban is unlikely to undertake? Will the Afghan people then pay the U.S. reparations for the Taliban’s aiding of al-Qaeda in preparing for the 9/11 attacks? Once one starts down this road, it never ends. The history of the world is full of wars and conquests; the history of Islam is full of the conquest and subjugation of various populations of infidels. If we’re going to start talking about reparations, it would be only fair to include reparations to the victims of 1,400 years of jihad. That reparations bill would dwarf any payment the West supposedly owes to the Taliban.

Biden Ignored Boris Johnsons’ Frantic Calls for 36 Hours as Bungled Bugout Was Unfolding

BY STEPHEN GREEN

Biden ghosted Johnson? Is that any way to treat a friend?

Not only did Presidentish Joe Biden leave UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson in the dark over “how it planned to withdraw [and] the pace of its withdrawal” from Afghanistan, Biden basically ghosted Johnson for 36 hours as the crisis unfolded in Kabul.

As Taliban forces swept through Kabul, threatening the lives of Americans and British subjects alike, Johnson tried frantically to reach Biden, but had to wait a day and a half for the notorious lid-taker to answer the call.

“Johnson tried to reach Biden on Monday morning, UK time, but wasn’t able to get him on the phone until 10 p.m. Tuesday (5 p.m. Washington time),” repeated BizNewsPost from a Daily Telegraph story (subscription required).

The White House has not responded to requests for comments on the report, nor much else, despite the ongoing chaos.

Biden left the Brits in the lurch, too, as the Telegraph reports:

With the Taliban now in charge of Afghanistan, the immediate priority of the British government is to evacuate the 4,000 or so UK citizens still in Afghanistan and the thousands of Afghans who have helped the UK over the past 20 years.

However, UK Defense Minister James Heappey admitted early on Friday that his country’s “air bridge” out of Kabul could be forced to close as soon as two days from now, stranding untold numbers of Brits and their Afghan allies.

Recommended: Appalling: Biden Scrapped Trump Afghanistan Rescue Plan

The Times (UK) quotes Heappey saying, “It keeps absolutely everyone here at the Ministry of Defence awake at night — that reality that we won’t get absolutely everybody out.”

Maybe they could have been gotten out, if Biden had been honest with Johnson, PM of America’s strongest ally.

The official snub may have — as my friend and colleague Bryan Preston put it to me — destabilized the Johnson government.

Naturally, Johnson is taking heat in Parliament from opposition Labour MPs, but he’s also getting roasted by his fellow Tories.

Former Tory PM Theresa May blasted Johnson earlier this week, saying “The politicians must be responsible for the consequences.” There’s even some talk about ditching Johnson in favor of May, who was replaced by Johnson two years ago.

British politics are weird.

To sum up, Biden’s bungled bugout from Afghanistan has — so far — managed to:

  • Strengthen the Taliban
  • Embolden China
  • Humiliate ourselves and our staunchest ally
  • Weaken NATO
  • Cost untold numbers of lives, especially going forward

And, really, the fallout is just beginning. We’re only at the start of a long and ugly road.

Biden is reportedly resting up at his Delaware beach house, having cleared his calendar of any public events “indefinitely.”
