Victor Davis Hanson: The Only Immigrant Democrats Don’t Support: Elon Musk

The Left’s hatred for Elon Musk seems to be increasing rapidly every day. In Congress, certain Democrat politicians question Musk’s intentions since he is an immigrant. By normal leftist standards, it would make one “xenophobic” and “nativist” to think this way, but that logic doesn’t apply to Musk, argues Victor Davis Hanson in this episode of “Victor Davis Hanson: In His Own Words.” “ We had a congresswoman from Ohio, I think her name was Marcy Kaptur, recently said that she wasn’t sure where Elon Musk’s loyalties lay because he’d only been a citizen for 22 years. … Remember, the Left says that people who are here illegally, and not citizens, should gain all of the protections and rights of citizens. They should be de facto citizens. “ We have turned someone who has saved the U.S. space program and will probably save two astronauts who otherwise would perish in space if it was left to the government program; who reinvented the entire auto industry; who opened up all of social media with X—we have turned this person into a demon.”

Elon Musk Indicates Support For The U.S. Leaving NATO And The UN: ‘NATO Is A Cold War Relic’

Billionaire Donald Trump ally Elon Musk recently indicated support for the United States leaving the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) and the United Nations.

In a Saturday evening X post, MAGA influencer Gunther Eagleman wrote “It’s time to leave NATO and the UN,” in response to Senator Mike Lee (R-Utah).

Musk responded to Eagleman’s post, simply adding “I agree.”

Musk went on to share a Sunday morning X post by Kentucky Representative Thomas Massie, who wrote: “NATO is a Cold War relic that needs to be relegated to a talking kiosk at the Smithsonian.”

Additionally, Musk has expressed his skepticism with the demands for continual support of Ukraine, adding “The EU (European Union) leaders and Zelensky are having fancy dinners while men die in trenches. How many parents will never see their son again? How many children will never see their father?”

Musk’s stance on the U.S. leaving NATO and the UN is consistent with his leadership in the Department of Government Efficiency, as the United States spends a disproportionate amount in defense spending for the two international organizations.

While President Trump has not explicitly stated he plans to exit NATO, he has called on European leaders to increase their share of defense spending.

Musk’s comments follow after the Trump administration has been publicly skeptical of Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky, while adding that Ukrainian entry into NATO is “unrealistic.”

President Trump also recently argued that NATO expansion into Ukraine may have played a major role in setting the war off, as Putin has been warning the West that NATO expansion on Russia’s borders would be seen as a hostile act since 2008, following the NATO Bucharest Summit where the alliance announced that Ukraine would eventually become a member.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov praised President Trump for his comment regarding NATO’s expansion into Ukraine.

“He is the first, and so far, in my opinion, the only Western leader who has publicly and loudly said that one of the root causes of the Ukrainian situation was the impudent line of the previous administration to draw Ukraine into NATO,” Lavrov stated.

It remains to be seen whether President Trump will act on Musk’s call to exit the international alliances as the war in Ukraine continues to rage on for a third year.

Gabbard Garners Key GOP Support, Senate Intel Committee Advances Confirmation

WASHINGTON, DC - JANUARY 30: Tulsi Gabbard, U.S. President Donald Trump’s nominee to be Director of National Intelligence, arrives to testify during her confirmation hearing before the Senate Intelligence Committee in the Dirksen Senate Office Building on January 30, 2025 in Washington, DC. Gabbard, a former Congresswoman from Hawaii who previously ran for president as a Democrat before joining the Republican Party and supporting President Trump, is facing criticism from Senators over her lack of intelligence experience and her opinions on domestic surveillance powers. Tulsi Gabbard was able to secure support from GOP senators who were previously on the fence regarding her director of national intelligence nomination, surviving a crucial Senate Intelligence Committee vote on Tuesday.

The Senate Intelligence Committee sent Gabbard’s nomination to the full Senate by a vote of 9 to 8.

Republican Senators Todd Young (R-Ind.) and Susan Collins (R-Maine) confirmed their support for Gabbard — after previously expressing skepticism.

“American intelligence officers around the globe deserve our respect and support. I appreciate Tulsi Gabbard’s engagement with me on a variety of issues to ensure that our intelligence professionals are supported and policymakers receive unbiased information under her leadership,” Young stated on Tuesday.

“I have done what the Framers envisioned for senators to do: use the consultative process to seek firm commitments, in this case commitments that will advance our national security, which is my top priority as a former Marine Corps intelligence officer,” Young continued. “Having now secured these commitments, I will support Tulsi’s nomination and look forward to working with her to protect our national security.”

Young’s comments of approval follow his prior concerns over Gabbard’s “dismissive” attitude towards whistleblower Edward Snowden while at her heating last week.

“I think it would benefit you, and be helpful to the way you are perceived by members of the intelligence community, if you would at least acknowledge that the greatest whistleblower in American history, so-called, harmed national security by breaking the laws of the land.”

Snowden, a former National Security Agency (NSA) contractor, previously leaked classified documents in 2013, disclosing the massive illegal and unconstitutional global surveillance programs that the NSA was conducting, which included the mass surveillance of everyday Americans, among other illicit programs.

Meanwhile, Collins further confirmed her support for Gabbard on Monday, stating “After extensive consideration of her nomination, I will support Tulsi Gabbard to be the Director of National Intelligence.

Collins previously voted against Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, showcasing her willingness to defy the GOP and President Donald Trump’s preferred candidates.

Collins added: “The Office of the Director of National Intelligence, however, has become far larger than it was designed to be, and Ms. Gabbard shares my vision of returning the agency to its intended size.”

Another point of contention was Gabbard’s previous opposition against Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act Section 702, which provides the federal intelligence apparatus to spy on non-Americans living abroad. Gabbard previously expressed concern that the program could violate the Fourth Amendment by “accidentally” collecting information on U.S. citizens.

However, after certain provisions were made that would disallow the possibility of these concerns to occur, Gabbard quickly changed her tune during the previous hearing.

“The national security capability that is provided by Section 702, that enables this foreign surveillance on non-U.S. persons overseas, is critical — period,” she affirmed during her hearing, calming one of Collins’ concerns.

Musk Offers Cash to Voters in Swing States that Support Second Amendment

Elon Musk is offering $47 to registered voters in swing states for each signature referred to other registered voters who pledge support for the First and Second Amendments.

Presidential Candidate Donald Trump held a return rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, to show his resolve in the face of two nearly successful assassination attempts. Elon Musk, a staunch supporter of the First Amendment and a genius entrepreneur, spoke in support of the First and Second Amendments. Elon made this generous offer:

In appreciation for your support, you will receive $47 for each registered voter you refer that signs this petition.

Our goal is to get 1 million registered voters in swing states to sign in support of the Constitution, especially freedom of speech and the right to bear arms. The program is exclusively open to registered voters in Pennsylvania, Georgia, Nevada, Arizona, Michigan, Wisconsin and North Carolina. Expires October 21.

The petition requires first and last name, email address, cell phone number (to confirm the signer’s identity only), and mailing address. Once a person has signed the petition, they can refer others to sign.

The petition is available online. For the petition to be valid, the signer must be a registered voter in Pennsylvania, Georgia, Nevada, Arizona, Michigan, Wisconsin, or North Carolina. You do not need to show who referred you to sign the petition.  This correspondent has signed the petition.

Elon Musk has placed himself squarely against former President Donald Trump in this election. It is a simple act of defense of the Republic of the United States of America. Elon is a naturalized citizen of the Republic. When Elon purchased X (formerly Twitter) in order to protect free speech and to fight censorship, he placed himself, and his fortune, in extreme jeopardy.

Elon Musk has been relentlessly attacked by the Biden administration. The current administration has used their power to hinder his operation of Space X by delaying permission for his launches. When the Biden administration held a conclave of electric vehicle manufacturers, Musk owned Tesla, the foremost electric vehicle manufacturer, was not invited.  When Elon Musk proffered a low bid for rural broadband delivery with Starlink, the bid was accepted by the FCC, then rejected by the Biden administration. Leftist influencer Keith Olberman has called for the Biden administration to deport Elon Musk.

Elon Musk has seen how this authoritarian abuse of power proceeds in other countries. If a Harris administration is placed in power, the enterprises owned by Elon Musk will be either be destroyed or co-opted by the government. The Biden/Harris administration has repeatedly ignored the rule of law. They have censored the opposition and conspired to illegitimately jail opponents. They have weaponized the Department of Justice to prosecute the opposition candidate, Donald Trump. They have been the most anti-Second Amendment administration in the history of the USA.

If candidate Harris becomes president with the Democratic Party in control of Congress, the election process will be altered to make a win by a supporter of the Constitution impossible. The Supreme Court will be neutered and/or packed with far-left Harris supporters. The current censorship will be magnified many times.

The Trump administration has already shown it will allow Elon Musk to maintain control of his enterprises and will encourage him to succeed in free market competition.

This correspondent believes those who sign the petition will be encouraged to vote. If you wish to show this correspondent, who is a registered voter in Arizona, as the person who referred you, you may put the email address of isherllc@gmail.com in the referral box.

Bill Gates Supports Kamala Harris With $50M Donation

Bill Gates, one of the wealthiest individuals in the world who received immense backlash for being closely associated with pedophile sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein, “disclosed in private” that he donated around $50 million to a nonprofit assisting Vice President Kamala Harris in her bid for president, according to individuals familiar with the matter who spoke with the New York Times.

The Democrat donations were intended to remain confidential, according to the sources. Gates’ net worth is currently 105.2 billion.

The insider further claimed that the Microsoft co-founder gave his donation to Future Forward, the primary external fundraising organization assisting Harris.

According to two of the people briefed, Gates discussed his pro-Harris donation with his colleagues, including Mike Bloomberg, the former mayor of New York City whose owned news outlet was one of the first to break the story, and a leading Future Forward supporter who has contemplated making a gift of a comparable scale.

Gates’ payment was made specifically to the nonprofit arm of Future Forward. As a 501(c)(4) “dark money” organization, Future Forward USA Action does not reveal its contributors. Therefore, Gates’ donation will not be included in any public filings.

“I support candidates who demonstrate a clear commitment to improving health care, reducing poverty and fighting climate change in the U.S. and around the world,” he told the New York Times. “I have a long history of working with leaders across the political spectrum, but this election is different, with unprecedented significance for Americans and the most vulnerable people around the world.”

Gates and Bloomberg have reportedly been friends for a long time and became close thanks to their shared interests in public health, government, globalism, philanthropy, and climate change.

Yet in 2019, Gates voiced a commitment to not participate in handing out large political donations.

“I choose not to participate in large political donations,” Gates claimed in late 2019. “There are times it might feel tempting to do so, and there are other people who choose to do so, but I just don’t want to grab that gigantic megaphone.”

Trump has been the target of a flurry of condemning Democrat-funded advertisements, with Future Forward being the point of the spear. Even toward the end of the election, Gates’ gift could be used to fund even more anti-Trump advertisements.

Social media users chimed in and commented on the news of Gates’ hefty donation.

“Billionaires donate money not for altruistic reasons but for their own self interests. It always comes with strings attached. It’s sad to see liberals call out billionaires who flood the Trump campaign with cash (like Elon Musk and Bill Ackman), but then praise the ones (like Bill Gates) who donate to the Democrats,” said one commenter.

In 2022, Synchron, a new brain-computer interface startup that seeks to compete with businesses like Elon Musk’s Neuralink, received investments from Bill Gates and Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, who have both voiced an interest in transhumanism. The idea of transhumanism holds that humans should be able to use technology to “improve and alter” their bodies and minds, extending their capabilities beyond what is now possible due to biological limitations or nature.

Additionally, Morrissey, a now-solo artist who was previously the frontman in the popular English band The Smiths, had some words to say this year about Gates, in addition to Dr. Fauci and Klaus Schwab, the founder of the controversial World Economic Forum.

Morrissey has long denounced the globalist elite for their destructive policies and abuses of power. Since the musician opposes unchecked illegal immigration and supports English nationalism, the UK mainstream media has attempted to portray him as racist and “anti-immigrant.”

Additionally, Senator Rand Paul (R-Ky.) had criticisms for Gates last year in regard to the funding of gain-of-function research related to COVID-19 and his close ties to China.

“Look, Bill Gates has been over there [China] recently. Bill Gates is the largest funder of trying to find these viruses in remote caves and bring them to big cities. What happened in China is they went 8 to 10 hours south of Wuhan, 2 to 300 feet deep into a cave, found viruses, and took them back to a city of 15 million people,” Paul said.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has announced that he is “suspending” his campaign for presidency and has thrown support at former President Donald Trump.

During his speech in Phoenix, Arizona, Kennedy said that even though he is not terminating his candidacy, he is suspending it.

He said that while he would leave his name on some ballots, he is removing it from 10 battleground states.

“I want everyone to know that I am not terminating my campaign. I am simply suspending it and not ending it,” Kennedy said. “My name will remain on the ballot in most states. If you live in a blue state, you can vote for me without harming or helping President Trump or Vice President Harris.”

“In about 10 battleground states where my presence would be a spoiler, I’m going to remove my name, and I’ve already started that process and urge voters not to vote for me,” he continued.

The former Independent presidential candidate then went on to back Trump.

“Three great causes drove me to enter this race in the first place, primarily, and these are the principal causes that persuaded me to leave the Democratic Party and run as an Independent, and now to throw my support to President Trump,” he said.

He continued by citing the reasons for his support, saying that the causes include “free speech, war in Ukraine and the war on our children.”

Kennedy also stated that he believes that “in an honest system, I believe that I would have won the election.”

“My father and my uncle thrived in a system…open debates with fair primaries, with a regularly scheduled debate with fair primaries and with a truly independent media, untainted by government propaganda and censorship. In a system of nonpartisan courts and election boards, everything would be different,” he added.

The 45th president, who will be in Arizona tonight, has teased a special guest at his rally who many speculate could be Kennedy. Trump has also hinted at possibly having Kennedy in his cabinet if he wins re-election.
