The Pentagon admitted on Thursday that the U.S. military has been monitoring what’s being described as a Chinese “surveillance balloon” hovering in the skies over the United States for days.
“The United States government has detected and is tracking a high-altitude surveillance balloon that is over the continental United States right now,” Pentagon spokesperson Brig. Gen. Pat Ryder told NBC News. “We continue to track and monitor it closely.” Officials have confirmed that the balloon belongs to China.
“Once the balloon was detected, the U.S. government acted immediately to protect against the collection of sensitive information,” Ryder said.
“The official said there was a window while the balloon was over Montana Wednesday when they could have taken it down. NORAD sent aircraft — including F-22 Raptors from Nellis Air Force Base and airborne early warning aircraft known as AWACs — but the official would not say whether one of the options was to shoot the balloon out of the sky with a U.S. aircraft,” NBC reported. “The U.S. military flights prompted a ground stop at the airport in Billings, with air traffic controllers citing a ‘special military mission.'”
According to the Montana Free Press, “The Air Force at Malmstrom [Air Force Base] maintains 150 intercontinental ballistic missile silos across its 13,800-square-mile complex in central Montana.”
Biden refused to answer questions shouted at him by reporters Thursday afternoon.
Officials say the balloon flew over the Aleutian Islands and through Canada before settling over the Billings, Mont., area. The balloon is still hovering somewhere over the United States, according to a senior defense official who declined to say where it is now.
Brig. Gen. Patrick Ryder, Pentagon press secretary, said in a statement that the balloon is “currently traveling at an altitude well above commercial air traffic and does not present a military or physical threat to people on the ground.”
There’s been no mention by officials of the threat of a dirty bomb or an EMP, although there’s been plenty of speculation about that on Twitter.
At least one Twitter user, however, claims that it would be impossible for a balloon to launch an EMP attack:
On Wednesday, Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin convened a meeting of senior military and defense leaders, including Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Mark Milley, NORTHCOM/NORAD Commander Gen. Glen VanHerck, and other combatant commanders.
Austin was traveling in the Philippines at the time.
The leaders reviewed the threat profile of the Chinese stratospheric balloon and possible response options, and ultimately decided not to recommend taking it out kinetically, because of the risk to safety and security of people on the ground from the possible debris field. Pentagon leaders presented the options to President Joe Biden on Wednesday.
A senior administration official confirmed that Biden had been briefed and received a “strong recommendation” that the balloon not be shot down.
Startlingly, this is not the first time a Chinese spy satellite has breached U.S. airspace, but it’s unusual for one to hover over one specific area for an extended period of time.
“Instances of this activity have been observed over the past several years, including prior to this administration,” a senior administration official told NBC. “We acted immediately to protect against the collection of sensitive information.”
YourBigSky, an ABC and Fox portal, is sharing pictures reportedly showing the spy balloon, although these have not been confirmed by the Pentagon.
These are reportedly videos of the balloon, which has been described as being the size of three large buses on social media:
“Currently we assess that this balloon has limited additive value from an intelligence collection perspective over and above what the PRC can do through other means,” the official said. “Nevertheless we are taking all necessary steps to protect against foreign intelligence collection of sensitive information.”

Secretary of State Antony Blinken has given the Biden administration’s response to President Xi Jinping and China for their brazenly illegal act of sending a balloon over U.S. territory to spy on the United States.
How do we know it’s a spy balloon? We don’t have to know. We can, should, and must assume that’s what it’s doing.
Blinken, along with his advisors Wynken and Nod, has come up with a brilliant riposte to this Chinese transgression. The United States will deny China the pleasure and honor of hosting the U.S. secretary of state this week as planned.
It’s the well-practiced “comfy chair” response to China. Unfortunately, it’s not likely to impress President Xi. In fact, Xi couldn’t care less if Blinken comes to Beijing or not. He must be watching the diplomatic byplay with amusement.
Blinken and one of his deputies spoke with the Chinese Embassy on Wednesday night, and on Friday morning, he told China’s top foreign policy official, Wang Yi, that the balloon’s course was a violation of sovereignty and “unacceptable,” according to a State Department official.
Oh, dear! Did ya hear that Xi-man? It’s “unacceptable” to fly your aircraft over U.S. territory.
Beijing had sought to defuse tensions with Washington on Friday over the balloon, expressing its regret over the incident, and saying the balloon was for civilian research and had “deviated far from its planned course.”
The explanation from the Chinese Foreign Ministry came after Pentagon officials said on Thursday that they had detected a balloon, “most certainly launched by the People’s Republic of China,” over Montana, which is home to about 150 intercontinental ballistic missile silos.
Just an accident, Mr. President. Really. How were we supposed to know that the bulk of the U.S. ground-based nuclear deterrence force was based in Montana? A completely honest and natural mistake?
The U.S. response should be short and quick. No need to waste a sophisticated missile on the interloping balloon. A couple of rounds from an F-35 Gatling gun would do the trick.
Does anyone not named Biden think that if the roles were reversed — if the U.S. had “accidentally” sent a balloon that flew over China — that Xi would not order the damn thing shot down the minute it crossed Chinese air space?
China isn’t going to start World War III if we treat the balloon as a hostile aircraft and shoot it down. Even if it’s harmless, as the Pentagon believes, it’s here and it’s flouting our air space.
Pentagon Press Secretary U.S. Air Force Brig. Gen. Patrick Ryder and a senior U.S. defense official provided details about the ballon. “First, our best assessment at the moment is that whatever the surveillance payload is on this balloon, it does not create significant value added over and above what the PRC is likely able to collect through things like satellites in Low Earth Orbit,” the official added. “But out of an abundance of caution, we have taken additional mitigation steps. I’m not going to go into what those are.
The experts at The Drive’s The War Zone disagree that there’s no added benefit to floating a balloon above U.S. military installations: “The idea that a terrestrial aerial platform in close proximity and floating for long periods above major military installations and other sensitive locales is not significantly more of a threat than what can be collected by satellites in orbit is a debatable claim.”
This was no “accident,” as a senior defense official told The War Zone.
“Clearly they’re trying to fly over sensitive sites,” the senior defense official said. They added that the balloon’s current anticipated flight path takes it over a number of locations of potential interest, but would not specify what those were. It was noted during the press conference that Montana is home to Malmstrom Air Force Base with well over 100 silos holding nuclear-tipped Minuteman III intercontinental ballistic missiles belonging to the 341st Missile Wing.
Given this information, Joe Biden is doing nothing laudatory, nor is he showing “restraint” by not turning this balloon into a flaming ball of gas. He’s showing incredible weakness. It’s a balloon, damn it. Blow it out of the sky and tell Mr. Xi that any more “accidental” balloons that drift over American airspace will be dealt with in a similar fashion.

U.S.A. – -(Ammoland.com)- “Banks are developing technology to identify potential mass shooters, according to a CEO backing the push to get credit-card companies to more closely track gun purchases,” Daily Business Review claims. Or rather, Bloomberg News (!), which provided this propaganda piece, does.
“‘Detection scenarios’ are in the works that, if triggered, would prompt banks to file a Suspicious Activity Report to the Treasury Department’s Financial Crimes Enforcement Network,” the story elaborates, citing Amalgamated Bank Chief Executive Officer Priscilla Sims Brown.
Brown did not identify the psychic technology that will allow Amalgamated to reliably predict future probabilities accurately enough to justify reporting citizens to law enforcement for investigation — that is, to activate authorities to punish based on a belief in magic, just like the witch trials of old. But we do know from past media statements the types of thresholds she envisions.
“Software would be able to detect, for example, if someone spent $1,000 at a firearm store, and on the same day, received a $1,000 deposit from someone who is not legally allowed to purchase firearms themselves,” she advocated, as quoted in my August Firearms News report.
“The software would know the ‘prohibited person’ status? How?” I asked at the time. “Are banks now going to tap into NICS and perform after-the-fact ‘background checks? How is such data sharing with private parties authorized by law?”
Especially since we’re told, “The merchant code doesn’t go to the SKU [Stock Keeping Unit] level.” So now we see the plan is to create soothsaying algorithms and use those to go running to the authorities.
What could go wrong?
If we’re talking about stopping a mass shooter before he can act, time is of the essence. An immediate and forceful law enforcement deployment hardly seems a far-fetched police response, especially with high-profile embarrassments over inaction like Parkland and Uvalde giving all the incentive needed to not want to be the goats on another incident. What are they going to say if something happens on their watch and the banks are out there lamenting “We TOLD them” to the media?
But what happens when it turns out to be a “false positive”? After all, no less an “authority” than the State of California Department of Justice, with law enforcement visibility and a criminal record database greater and more specific than anything Amalgamated Bank is going to feed into its fortune teller machine just recently denied a sale to a longtime gun owner and concealed carry permit holder, and then a few days later, with his purchase still on hold, allowed his ammo purchase to go through.
And what happens if the police show up at a “detection scenario” subject’s house and, following the prime directive of making it home at the end of their shift above all else, open fire on and kill the poor guy, as happened recently in Austin? If it turns out to be an “Oops, our bad!” situation, will Amalgamated (and any bank using its software as a reporting “trigger”) share in the liability?
You know and I know (and the calculating minds behind this know) that impossible-to-achieve clairvoyance will end up preventing no mass shootings. The only ones who don’t know that are the willfully self-deluded useful idiots eager to lemming up for whatever abrogation of rights they’re being instructed to demand. Anyone disarmed (and without due process!) who is an actual danger will still be a danger if he’s not also separated from the potential victim pool. “Gun control” schemes don’t work and this one certainly won’t. And don’t forget, it’s the antis insisting to have it both ways by also claiming it’s easier to get a gun than it is a book or a vegetable.
For some reason, the IT term “GIGO” (Garbage In, Garbage Out) comes to mind. That and Priscilla Sims Brown sitting at her desk in a trance asking, “Magic 8 Ball: Should I report this purchase to the feds?” and then acting on its response.
The other thing that comes to mind is the dystopian Tom Cruise movie, Minority Report:
“In the year 2054 A.D. crime is virtually eliminated from Washington D.C. thanks to an elite law enforcing squad ‘Precrime’. They use three gifted humans (called ‘Pre-Cogs’) with special powers to see into the future and predict crimes beforehand.”
Since it’s unlikely Sims Brown has a trio of mutants isolated in a photon milk bath at corporate HQ, how Amalgamated justifies acting on its “snitchware” (yeah, it’s a real neologism) is unclear unless you compare what they’re doing to a real crime, which depriving citizens of rights without due process has heretofore been considered. They have the means and they’re creating the opportunity. All that’s left is to discern their motive.
“Amalgamated, majority owned by Workers United, ‘has aggressively carved out a position as the left’s private banker, leveraging deep connections with the Democratic establishment.’ Workers United, in turn, is a Service Employees International Union (SEIU) affiliate, which, per The Washington Free Beacon, ‘rakes in millions from Dem campaigns, liberal orgs.’ And the SEIU, in turn, has organized rallies and marched in solidarity with communists.”
So maybe it’s not really about “commonsense gun safety”?
That should be obvious when you further consider the only people this would affect are the “law-abiding” kind. This, of course, won’t slow a career criminal getting his guns the “traditional way,” that is, illegally, one bit. It will, however, provide the gun-grabbers with another “loophole” to exploit by demanding the end of private sales.
That this is now being embraced by the International Organization for Standardization dovetails “nicely” with dragging the U.S. into the global citizen disarmament campaign. Speaking as someone with no small amount of real-world ISO experience in my past career, nothing at the time suggested facilitating the subversion of unalienable rights was one of the goals.
We didn’t have the hindsight back then to foresee today’s rush to economic fascist woke “capitalist” rope-selling, but now it’s no surprise that it all boils down to enemies foreign and domestic. This further illustrates the remarkable and visionary foresight of the Founders when they passed the Bill of Rights in general and the Second Amendment in particular on to posterity.

(Natural News) When Barack Obama was in the White House and Democrats controlled Congress for his first two years in office, they passed a bill dubbed “Obamacare” that was the first step toward giving federal government bureaucrats complete control over Americans’ health care.
Since all Americans require medical care during their lives, the move was seen by critics as the ultimate authoritarian move; after all, if the government controls all healthcare decisions, tyrannical government bureaucrats could then begin to dictate behaviors and reward or punish people based on behavior.
Now, the government is attempting yet another major authoritarian move: The creation of a “digital currency” with the endgame objective being to control behaviors through “programmable” money that can influence and/or block certain spending habits.
“The Federal Reserve Bank of New York’s Innovation Center, or NYIC, announced that it would be launching a 12-week proof-of-concept pilot for a central bank digital currency, or CBDC,” Coin Telegraph reported this week.
The outlet continued: “In a Nov. 15 announcement, the New York Fed said the program would explore the feasibility of an ‘interoperable network of central bank wholesale digital money and commercial bank digital money operating on a shared multi-entity distributed ledger’ on a regulated liability network. Banking giants including BNY Mellon, Citi, HSBC, Mastercard, PNC Bank, TD Bank, Trust, U.S. Bank, and Wells Fargo will be participating in the pilot by issuing tokens and settling transactions through simulated central bank reserves.”
Mind you, the participating banks are advertising this simply as a concept to make interoperability more feasible, but make no mistake, this ‘test’ is research: The Fed wants to develop and then hone this technology so that a ‘programmable’ digital currency can be introduced to the general public for the express purpose of controlling spending habits by favoring or disfavoring products (think ‘yes’ for electric cars, solar panels, and fake ‘meat’ but ‘no’ for cigarettes, alcohol, gasoline, and anything deemed ‘harmful to the planet’).
“The NYIC looks forward to collaborating with members of the banking community to advance research on asset tokenization and the future of financial market infrastructures in the U.S. as money and banking evolve,” NYIC Director Per von Zelowitz said in announcing the pilot program.
“Kansas City Federal Reserve Bank President Esther George said in an interview that inflation is at risk of growing entrenched in the economy, making it difficult for the Federal Reserve to fight inflation without a recession. George said that labor is the driver of inflation now, rather than supply chain or production shortages, and the real challenge for policymakers is prematurely ending rate increases,” private intelligence firm Forward Observer reported in a note to subscribers earlier this month.
An accompanying analyst comment noted: “Fed officials have previously waved off the risk of recession, so this admission is significant. George is now saying the proverbial quiet part out loud, as [Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome] Powell has been engineering a deliberate recession since last year.”
Now, as an engineered recession is upon us, the same Fed will be introducing a digital currency that it can manipulate on behalf of the wishes of the deep state permanent government.
N.Y. Fed said in a statement: “This U.S. proof-of-concept project is experimenting with the concept of a regulated liability network. It will test the technical feasibility, legal viability, and business applicability of distributed ledger technology to settle the liabilities of regulated financial institutions through the transfer of central bank liabilities.”
“The NYIC looks forward to collaborating with members of the banking community to advance research on asset tokenization and the future of financial market infrastructures in the U.S. as money and banking evolve,” said Per von Zelowitz, Director of the New York Innovation Center.

For decades, the government of the United States has been unconstitutionally and surreptitiously surveilling American citizens. Perhaps it’s time the watched become the watchers.
On November 17, the Electronic Frontier Foundation’s director of investigations, Dave Maass, sent out the following message:
This week, EFF’s Atlas of Surveillance project hit a bittersweet milestone. The Atlas of Surveillance has now hit 10,000 data points. It contains at least partial data on approximately 5,500 law enforcement agencies in all 50 states, as well as most territories and districts.
For those unfamiliar with the Atlas of Surveillance, here’s the description of the project published by EFF:
The Atlas of Surveillance is a database of surveillance technologies deployed by law enforcement in communities across the United States.
This includes drones, body-worn cameras, automated license plate readers, facial recognition, and more.
This research was compiled by more than 1,000 students and volunteers, and incorporates datasets from a variety of public and non-profit sources.
While certainly not a complete catalog of all the millions of cameras and microphones collecting data that is then sent to the government, the Atlas of Surveillance is helpful and is a ready resource for anyone committed to the Constitution and to the protections afforded by the Fourth Amendment.
You can search the Atlas, you can move around the map, and can choose the type of surveillance collection you’re interested in seeking: license-plate readers, doorbell cameras, and other facial recognition devices.
Something that becomes instantly evident after playing around with the Atlas of Surveillance is that anyone living in a city of any substantial size will discover that hiding from the all-seeing eye of the federal government is nearly impossible.
For those of you who doubt this claim, consider this information provided by EFF:
However, this milestone sadly also reflects the massive growth of surveillance adoption by police agencies. High-tech spying is no longer limited to well-resourced urban areas; even the smallest hamlet’s police department might be deploying powerful technology that gathers data on its residents, regardless of whether those residents are connected to a criminal case. We’ve seen the number of partnerships between police and the home surveillance company Ring grow from 1,300 to more than 2,000. In the two years since we first published a complementary report on real-time crime centers — essentially police tech hubs, filled with wall-to-wall camera monitors and computers jacked into surveillance datasets — the number of such centers in the U.S. has grown from 80 to 100.
And, as I’ve also previously reported, red-light and transportation cameras also send the images and sounds they collect to government agencies, who then collect and catalog the data.
The rapid spread of surveillance devices and their increasingly pervasive technology is converting the United States (and the entire globe) into a wall-less prison. Every individual, regardless of criminal intent or activity, is being monitored by the government using technology not available to the general public, thus making us subjects of a state-run surveillance regime that is itself impenetrable and invisible.
Well, mostly invisible.
Thanks to the Atlas of Surveillance project, perhaps some of the watchers can now be watched, or at least identified.
Perchance the invisible electronic walls keeping us as virtual prisoners in a global gulag will fall faster as we consistently demand that those chosen to lead us to adhere to constitutional principles of individual liberty, particularly when these officials attempt to protect their power by monitoring the population for signs of dissent.
Remember: If you want to truly be constitutionally consistent, then you must understand and agree that every collection by the federal government of images and sounds is a direct, open, and hostile violation of the protections provided by the Fourth Amendment against such surveillance.
The Fourth Amendment reads:
The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.
Having the eye of the Atlas of Surveillance identifying and revealing many of the millions of cameras and microphones used by the local and federal government to keep us in their sights is a great boon to the protection of liberty, as it might work to prevent overzealous agencies from using electronic tracking technology to collect data from people who have not been afforded due process.
The rights guaranteed by the Fourth Amendment are under nearly constant assault by the forces of the federal government. From NSA surveillance to IRS use of tax records as a political tool, the papers, effects, and homes of all Americans are now de facto denied the protections our Founders held so dear.
So, go over to the Atlas of Surveillance, put in your address, and see just how wide the field of vision of the never-blinking eye of government really is … if you dare.

(Natural News) The personal data of more than 145 million Americans are being indiscriminately handed over by the Biden regime’s State Department to various law enforcement and intelligence agencies for illegal and unconstitutional probing, according to a letter sent from Sen. Ron Wyden (D-Ore.) to Secretary of State Antony Blinken.
Without any proper legal due process or apparent oversight, Biden’s State Department is reportedly pulling private information from people’s passport applications without their knowledge or consent and passing it off to other government agencies. Wyden’s letter is part of an ongoing investigation into Operation Whistle Pig, a wide-ranging leak investigation launched by a Border Patrol agent and several of his supervisors at the U.S. Customs and Border Patrol’s National Targeting Center.
“I write to express serious concern that the Department of State is providing law enforcement and intelligence agencies with unfettered access to personal data, originally collected through passport applications, of the more than 145 million Americans with a passport,” Wyden’s letter reads.
It adds that “the breadth of this access highlights the potential for other abuses. In a July 13, 2022, briefing for my office, State Department officials confirmed that 25 other federal agencies have access to the Department’s database of passport applications.” (Related: In April, Biden’s State Department issued a memo claiming that covid “most likely” escaped from a lab in Wuhan, China.)
The Biden regime is an unlawful and unconstitutional regime
Among the data being collected from Americans and passed from the federal government to law enforcement and intelligence groups are names, addresses, birth dates, biometric data like fingerprints and facial images, email addresses, phone numbers, gender, race, Social Security numbers, and other private information.
“The [State] Department’s mission does not include providing dozens of other government agencies with self-service access to 145 million Americans’ personal data,” Wyden’s letter goes on to state.
“The Department has voluntarily taken on this role, and in doing so, prioritized the interests of other agencies over those of law-abiding Americans. While there is a legitimate role for the use of this information by law enforcement, the current unregulated system of interagency access to millions of Americans’ records goes far beyond what a reasonable person would expect or tolerate.”
There is no legal requirement that the State Department provide any of this information upon request, except through a normal legal process such as a subpoena or court order. In this case, there is none of that present, which means the Biden regime is committing an unconstitutional act.
It remains unknown the level to which each of the 25 law enforcement and intelligence agencies on the dole has access to said data. Some may only have access to a small amount of it while others have full access – we just do not know because there is no transparency.
Wyden also alleges that a Border Patrol agent misused government databases to pursue a rogue leak investigation into a news reporter and her relationship with a congressional staffer. The Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) Office of Inspector General (OIG) launched a probe into these allegations, as well as into the work of said Border Patrol agent.

Next on screen, a wide-eyed Trans Buddy who looks like she just parachuted a gram of MDMA pops into a frame to explain her sanctioned role in coercing hospital staff to comply with the prevailing gender orthodoxy: “Sometimes I’m there to be sort of always observing kind of how hospital staff are interacting with individuals and again, you know, using correct pronouns.” (emphasis mine)
Via liberal “think tank” Center for American Progress: “Nearly 1 in 2 transgender individuals, including 68 percent of transgender people of color, reported experiencing mistreatment at the hands of a provider.”

Of course, when using the transgender patient’s legal name, which doesn’t correspond to their gender identity (termed “deadnaming,” now illegal in California), is tantamount to “abuse,” it’s easy to inflate the statistics.

(Natural News) President Joe Biden’s handlers quietly had him sign an executive order late Friday evening when no one was looking that demolishes what is left of Americans’ constitutional protections against unauthorized government intrusion into their lives.
In particular, Biden’s order repeals the restrictions placed upon signals intelligence collection — that is, electronic spying — that were actually put in place by his former running mate, Barack Obama, and as is typical with Democrats, the language of the order is completely contradictory to what the order actually does:
The Executive Order of October 7, 2022 (Enhancing Safeguards for United States Signals Intelligence Activities), establishes enhanced safeguards for the United States signals intelligence activities that supersede the safeguards for personal information collected through signals intelligence established by Presidential Policy Directive 28 of January 17, 2014 (Signals Intelligence Activities) (PPD-28)
There are no “enhanced safeguards.” Rather, the guardrails have been removed.
The collection of signals intelligence shall be authorized by statute or Executive Order, proclamation, or other Presidential directives, and undertaken in accordance with the Constitution and applicable statutes, Executive Orders, proclamations, and Presidential directives.
(b) Privacy and civil liberties shall be integral considerations in the planning of U.S. signals intelligence activities. The United States shall not collect signals intelligence for the purpose of suppressing or burdening criticism or dissent, or for disadvantaging persons based on their ethnicity, race, gender, sexual orientation, or religion. Signals intelligence shall be collected exclusively where there is a foreign intelligence or counterintelligence purpose to support national and departmental missions and not for any other purposes. [Emphasis added]
(c) The collection of foreign private commercial information or trade secrets is authorized only to protect the national security of the United States or its partners and allies. It is not an authorized foreign intelligence or counterintelligence purpose to collect such information to afford a competitive advantage[4] to U.S. companies and U.S. business sectors commercially.
(d) Signal intelligence activities shall be as tailored as feasible. In determining whether to collect signals intelligence, the United States shall consider the availability of other information, including from diplomatic and public sources. Such appropriate and feasible alternatives to signals intelligence should be prioritized.
That actually seems pretty reasonable — following the Constitution even if/when the electronic eavesdropping was authorized via executive order (could it be this was the precursor to spying on Trump?).
Meanwhile, Biden’s order states: “The Executive Order establishes enhanced safeguards in recognition that signals intelligence activities must be conducted in a manner that takes into account that all persons should be treated with dignity and respect, regardless of their nationality or wherever they might reside, and that all persons have legitimate privacy interests in the handling of their personal information.
“In addition, signals intelligence activities present the potential for national security damage if improperly disclosed. Therefore, it is essential to maintain the policy process refined by section 3 of PPD-28 and supplemented by the classified annex to PPD-28, under which national security policymakers consider carefully the value of signals intelligence activities to our national interests and the risks entailed in conducting those activities,” the order adds, before going on to repeal most of PPD-28.
“Revocation. PPD-28 is hereby revoked except for sections 3 and 6 of that directive and the classified annex to that directive, which remain in effect,” Biden’s order states.
Why repeal this? And why do it now? What is coming down the pipe from the regime? Is Biden planning on ramping up spying on certain figures in support of the war in Ukraine? Or — more likely — is the regime planning to start spying on political opponents inside the country, otherwise known as “Republican voters?”
If we had to bet, we’d say the latter. Otherwise, there is no reason to touch PPD-28.

Yes, you read that right. A leftist journalist called Child Protective Services on a Republican state Senate candidate and single mother because she teaches her daughter to celebrate Columbus Day. Apparently, celebrating the man who made it possible for America to exist and for us to live here falls under the leftist definition of “abuse.”
Self-described “Award-Winning Multimedia Journalist” David Leavitt called Child Protective Services (CPS) on Republican Virginia state Senate candidate and single mom Tina Ramirez for being pro-Columbus Day. The drama began when Ramirez referenced PayPal’s recent attempt to fine “misinformation”-spreaders $2,500. Ramirez tweeted, “Only women can be pregnant. Do I owe PayPal $2500 now?” Leavitt replied with the highly rational comment, “Why are you celebrating torture, rape, murder, and enslavement?” Ramirez, apparently realizing that Leavitt was referring to Columbus Day, tweeted, “I teach my daughter real American history. I refuse to join the radical left’s campaign to erase history.”
Leavitt, who has over 330,000 Twitter followers, tried to start a harassment campaign against Ramirez, tweeting, “Can someone please call child care services on Tina Ramirez who’s teaching her child to be a racist?” He then evidently decided that he couldn’t wait for anyone else to report Ramirez, because he began to post an extended tweet thread complaining about how long the wait was on Virginia’s child abuse hotline. Perhaps the wait time is long because woke journalists call the hotline to complain that mothers are teaching their children history?
Ramirez fired back at Leavitt’s stunt, tweeting, “Mighty bold and liberal of you to lecture a Hispanic mother with a black daughter on racism. What’s next? Are you going to lecture me on women’s rights?” Leavitt sneered, “Having a black child doesn’t make you any less racist.” The journalist also retweeted dozens of comments bashing Ramirez and her pro-Columbus tweet, including comments like “Slavery is American history” and “I feel very sorry for your daughter. She will learn the truth one day and hate you for not helping her navigate racism, back lives matter, and all the ‘history’ you choose to ignore.”
Since Leavitt’s tweets revealed that he spent over an hour on the CPS line waiting to report Ramirez, the Republican candidate tweeted, “Radical leftist @David_Leavitt didn’t just call CPS to level accusations against me. He waited an hour on hold, tying up the lines of our CPS professionals trying to help Virginia’s children. The radical left is willing to put our children at risk to cancel conservatives.”
Despite calling CPS on Ramirez, Leavitt later cluelessly whined on Twitter, “I’m being the subject of targeted harassment by someone who’s celebrating the torture, rape, murder, and enslavement of indigenous peoples.” The “harassment” he quote-tweeted just said, “Poor Davey is upset about Columbus day 🙁 Get well soon, pal.” The journalist then claimed he’d received a death threat. He also tweeted about “#IndigenousPeoplesDay,” which is the left’s new name for Columbus Day but is apparently unaware that Columbus Day was established as a holiday to counteract violent prejudice against Italian Americans. The holiday’s purpose is to fight racism.
While unjust deeds were done by Columbus’s men (often against his instructions) and Columbus did make mistakes, he was not a “murderer” of natives. He was, in fact, remarkably eager to treat the natives humanely. And there were natives who were very happy to see him. As Meridian Magazine explains, native chief King Guacanagari asked for Columbus’s help in defeating an enemy tribe of cannibals, who were “destroying” Guacanagari’s tribe. Columbus assisted Guacanagari to defeat the cannibals, and then sent captured cannibals as slaves to Spain. But his motivation for the latter action is far more humane than you might think, as he wrote to the Spanish monarchs, “We send by these two vessels some of these cannibal men and women, as well as some children, both male and female. Their Highnesses can order them to be placed under the care of the most competent persons to teach them the language.” Columbus added that he hoped the slaves “may one day be led to abandon their barbarous custom of eating their fellow creatures. By learning the Spanish language in Spain, they will much earlier receive baptism and ensure the salvation of their souls.” Columbus wanted to help even cannibals and enemies in the best way he knew how — by trying to get them to Heaven. Would Leavitt be that generous to men who had previously tried to kill and eat him?
The American Spectator wrote that the “crimes” of which Columbus is perpetually accused, including genocide and mass enslavement of natives, are “a total fabrication.” The Spectator cited original documents and noted that Columbus even defended natives against the Spanish.
Meridian Magazine describes Columbus by noting, “His relations with the natives tended to be benign. He liked the natives and found them to be very intelligent.” It’s too bad there isn’t more intelligence to be found from woke journalists.

Has any government agency burned its reputation with the American people more quickly than the FBI? It wasn’t all that long ago that the vast majority of Americans assumed it to be an unimpeachable group of selfless and patriotic law enforcement officials who had dedicated their lives to protecting the American people from all enemies, foreign and domestic.But Rasmussen Reports revealed in August that “a majority (53%) of voters now agree” with Roger Stone’s statement that “we have a group of politicized thugs at the top of the FBI who are using the FBI…as Joe Biden‘s personal Gestapo.” And we do. But maybe we always have, and just weren’t as aware of it as we are now. It turns out that the FBI that we thought was ramrod straight and incorruptible, the FBI of Eliot Ness and Efrem Zimbalist Jr., was using your taxpayer money to track none other than Aretha Franklin. Not exactly a dangerous criminal. And that’s the problem.
Kids, Aretha Franklin was and is known as the Queen of Soul, and for good reason. She was the extraordinary singer who gave us the unforgettable “R-E-S-P-E-C-T,” “I Never Loved A Man (The Way I Love You),” “You Make Me Feel Like A Natural Woman,” “Until You Come Back to Me (That’s What I’m Gonna Do),” and a host of others. Unlike today’s crop of songstresses, few of whom (if any) could tie Ms. Franklin’s shoes, she was a singer first and foremost, not a lecturer or political commentator. Nonetheless, the New York Postreported on Tuesday that she was “tracked by the FBI for 40 years as the agency repeatedly sought — but ultimately failed — to tie the Queen of Soul to ‘extremists’ and ‘radicals,’” as has been revealed in documents that have just been declassified.
Rolling Stone magazine obtained Franklin’s FBI file and found in it a record of “false phone calls, surveillance, infiltration, and highly-placed sources” that the feds inflicted upon Franklin between 1967 and 2007. The file is full of references to “black extremists,” “pro-communist,” “hate America,” “radical,” “racial violence” and “militant black power.” It opines that Martin Luther King’s funeral, where Franklin sang, could turn into a “radical situation,” adding that “Sammy Davis Jr., Aretha Franklin… of this group, some have supported militant Black power concept.” Accordingly, King’s funeral could “provide the emotional spark which could ignite racial disturbance in this area.”
Forty years of this surveillance, forty years of taxpayer money wasted, and the feds found nothing, absolutely nothing, that they could use against Aretha Franklin. Her son, Kecalf Franklin, says: “I’m not really sure if my mother was aware that she was being targeted by the FBI and followed. I do know that she had absolutely nothing to hide though. It does make me feel a certain way knowing the FBI had her targeted and wanted to know her every move. But at the same time knowing my mother and the way she ran her business I know she had nothing to hide so they wouldn’t have found anything and were wasting their time. As you see… they found nothing at all.”
Indeed. But it’s bad enough that the effort was made. Why was the FBI wasting valuable resources tracking someone who was quite obviously not a criminal? Was there some dearth of actual criminals in the United States between 1967 and 2007 so that the feds could afford to burn through taxpayer money keeping tabs on an innocent person? Or was the agency’s need to justify its budget paramount above all other considerations to the extent that it opened up investigations of people who had done nothing wrong precisely because these investigations would burn through money and resources, and maybe even justify asking for a budget increase the following year?
Nowadays, when the FBI has been implicated in the Russian Collusion hoax and has steadfastly refused to do anything about the manifest indications of illegal activity on Hunter Biden’s laptop, these questions become all the more urgent. Nowadays, surveillance is a great deal easier and cheaper than it was in the 1960s and 1970s, and when the Biden regime is engaged in an effort to portray its principal political opponents as representing “an extremism that threatens the very foundations of our republic,” the fact that there are decades of precedent for it abusing its power by placing innocent people under surveillance is nothing less than chilling.
Aretha Franklin was just the start. If the FBI could surveil her, the feds can and will surveil anyone and everyone. Even you. The FBI, in the midst of this corrupt and authoritarian administration, has definitively lost any claim it may once have had to R-E-S-P-E-C-T.

(Natural News) Our governing systems continue their hard-left, anti-freedom, Marxist shift, which is leading to the development of a parallel system that conservatives are flocking to.
For decades, the federal government — at every level — has been infiltrated by left-wing ideologues who are authoritarian by their very nature, and now the Federal Reserve is joining the fray.
As reported by investigative journalist Jordan Schachtel on his Substack, the Fed “has taken a major step in the direction of facilitating an ESG-compliant monetary network that effectively acts as a parallel system to that of the Chinese Communist Party’s infamous social credit scoring system.”
ESG — which stands for Environment, Social, and Governance in investing — “refers to a set of standards for a company’s behavior used by socially conscious investors to screen potential investments,” according to Investopedia. What that means in practice, of course, is that regardless of the potential for earning profits for shareholders, which banks and corporations are beholden by law to always strive for, these institutions instead only invest in “politically correct” industries and sectors. No fossil fuels, for instance, as oil and gas are so early 2000s; no big tobacco; and nothing that has anything to do with Israel, just to name a few (because the hard left is comprised of true bigots and racists).
“Six of the nation’s largest banks will participate in a pilot climate scenario analysis exercise designed to enhance the ability of supervisors and firms to measure and manage climate-related financial risks,” the Fed noted in a statement last week. “Scenario analysis—in which the resilience of financial institutions is assessed under different hypothetical climate scenarios—is an emerging tool to assess climate-related financial risks, and there will be no capital or supervisory implications from the pilot.”
In short, Schachtel said, the Federal Reserve “is working with the big banks to monitor their ability to comply with the ruling class’s preferred enviro statist technocratic tyranny.”
He goes on to say that the unaccountable, unelected bureaucrats at the Fed who are responsible for this new exercise claim it is only “exploratory in nature and does not have capital consequences.” The statement from the nation’s money printer also said that the “scenario analysis can assist firms and supervisors in understanding how climate-related financial risks may manifest and differ from historical experience.”
Then, why bother with this exercise at all? What’s the real purpose behind it? As Schachtel explains, there is always a statist purpose behind everything the American deep state does:
The Fed is clearly leaning into the climate hoax narrative, or the pseudoscientific idea that humans are catastrophically impacting the climate, but not because they somehow care about the environment. The climate narrative is the chief rhetorical facilitator for the ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) movement.
ESG acts as a trojan horse for the continuing centralization of the American financial system. ESG finance, popularized by hyper-political asset management behemoths like BlackRock and Vanguard, acts to prevent outsiders from challenging the regime-connected insiders on Wall Street and in Washington, under the guise of acting to manifest a healthier planet.
In short, institutions that are all-in for ESG essentially commit themselves to further attacking and eroding our founding free-market principles through deception, instead preferring Chinese communist-style “stakeholder capitalism” that empowers a small group of uber-elites and technocrats to make important decisions and broad determinations for all of the society writ large.
Schachtel goes on to point out that he isn’t surprised that the mainstream media is cheering on the Fed’s tyrannical plan. The New York Times, the ringleader for the statist media, reported: “that it often lagged behind its global peers when it comes to talking about and coming up with a plan for policing risks related to climate change.”
Note that the Times’ deferential position is that the U.S. should behave like all other nations, running in lockstep with them, policywise, not doing what is best for Americans.
No wonder these people hate Donald Trump so much – he literally opposed every authoritarian tendency they have.

Do you get mail? Of course, you do. You have a mailbox for your house, apartment, or condo, or you have a post office box. Everybody gets mail. But does everybody get their mail monitored? Well, if you’re a Second Amendment supporter or you don’t like Joe Biden, you may have somebody watching your mailbox.
The Washington Timesnoted that Patrick Eddington of the Cato Institute obtained redacted documents showing that U.S. Postal Service inspectors monitored the mail of some American citizens. The impetus for the move? These people were gun rights activists and had issues with the election of Joe Biden. The office spied on gun activists who attended a gathering in Richmond, Va., what the Times calls “far-right” groups who went to D.C. after Biden’s election, and even those who gathered to protest the shooting of Breonna Taylor. This particular operation also included digital surveillance through the Internet Covert Operations Program. The documents Eddington obtained showed that the operation in question ran from September 2020 to April 2021. There were disclaimers on the reports that stated that the surveillance was not intended to infringe on anyone’s rights but to give law enforcement intel about potential violent or criminal activity. The post office inspector general said that the moves were outside the scope of law enforcement and may not have had legal approval. The inspectors disagreed. In the interim, the Postal Service has agreed to a full review and to make sure that future surveillance is properly authorized.
We need postal inspectors. Back in the wild west days of the internet, I covered cases in which postal inspectors played key roles in intercepting child pornography and working with local law enforcement to lock up offenders. But the gun-rights activists and politically active Americans who were recently monitored were not doing anything illegal. Distasteful to some, but not illegal.
Then there is the issue of the FBI raiding a business in Beverly Hills. Agents had a warrant because there was cause to believe that there was criminal activity going on, specifically drug trafficking and money laundering. But while agents were on-scene, they also broke into safety deposit boxes belonging to customers and seized the assets and money inside. The FBI maintains that everything was above-board, but the Post Millennial has information that the judge who issued the warrant was misled. Specifically, the warrant did not show that the agents intended to permanently confiscate everything in boxes that contained at least $5,000 in assets.
So why the seemingly never-ending parade of abuses of power? Why is the government doling out $5,000 worth of punishment for $5.00 “crimes?” As a former Leftist, I think I can shed some light on that.
Some of the people behind this are true believers. They see America as a cancer-ridden body that can only be saved by surgically removing multiple tumors, full-body radiation, and chemotherapy. Yes, it will be frightening, painful, and traumatic for you, but it is necessary. Trust us, when it is all over and we have ravaged and re-made the body, things will be better. Eventually. We promise.
Some just enjoy power and privilege, and people like Trump and even you represent a threat to that power, privilege, and especially money. These people have a lot on the line, and they need a pretty big hammer to protect themselves. And they are supported by various hangers-on who are still hoping for their invite to the after-party in Aspen.
And then there are those who are so ensconced in their closed universe that they have no concept of reality, and who genuinely feel like victims. And victims, of course, feel justified in doing anything they can to save themselves. Here is a case in point:
You may remember the government shutdown in 2013. During that time, the federal hissy-fit included keeping drivers from seeing Mount Rushmore.
When the shutdown began, I was approached by an acquaintance who worked for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. She was absolutely livid and shaking with anger that she was being put on temporary leave, never mind the fact that she would be given back pay when things re-opened. She utterly disregarded the fact that people in her community were being forced into actual, permanent unemployment with no back-pay, because of the way the Obama administration had played havoc with the oil and gas industry. These people included a family in her church that had to move because the husband lost his job and they were facing foreclosure. In her mind, she, as a selfless public servant (with a great salary and a guaranteed retirement) should never be inconvenienced in such a way. How dare Republicans do such a thing by not cooperating with Democrats? She demanded I run some sort of op-ed she was clutching. I took the piece of paper but didn’t rise to the defense of her and her agency.
So ambition, mixed with indignation, ego, and a healthy dose of paranoia will allow things to happen in a country whose inhabitants could never have imagined such a situation just three years ago. If you are one of those people and are reading this, is what you are doing worth the price of your soul? Do you really think that you are “protecting democracy” by doing the things that totalitarians do? Or are you just telling yourself that you are only following orders to protect your pension? How many lives need to be wrecked for you to keep a pension? How much money will let you sleep at night? If you can’t or won’t answer those questions, then you are on your way to joining a long list of people whom history has come to despise.

Project Veritas, the watchdog organization specializing in undercover videos exposing nefarious actors in politics and culture, dropped the second video this week exposing left-wing indoctrination in education. On Thursday, the prestigious Trinity School NYC and its director of student activities, Jennifer Norris, were targeted as Norris was caught on camera bragging about peddling her left-wing activism to students in the name of “education.”
Previously this week, Project Veritas highlighted discriminatory hiring practices in the Greenwich, Connecticut, school district, when they featured administrator Jeremy Boland admitting on camera that, among other things, he would not hire Catholics at the school.
In Thursday’s video, Norris bragged about using her position of authority at the Trinity School to advance her left-wing ideologies.
“I just keep trying to disrupt wherever I can,” the administrator said. “And now that I’m in this position, I have so many opportunities to do that.”
“I don’t hide how I feel, but I can’t pretend I’m [not] promoting an agenda even though I clearly am with all the stuff I’m doing,” Norris was caught saying.
Like much of New York City, Norris confirmed that Trinity School is not a place where conservatives are welcome.
“I mean, we [the school] are not as left as I am, for sure. But it’s definitely a school where conservatives would not feel comfortable.”
Norris also bragged that, in her capacity in booking speakers for the school, conservatives were persona non grata.
“Two days a week, I bring in speakers from outside. So, that’s been a huge opportunity for me to just bring things — any social justice issues or just people with experiences,” Norris said.
Asked specifically if she would ever consider a Republican speaker, Norris replied simply, “I won’t.”
“I’m in charge as far as they [the administration] are concerned. So, if they want to do that [bring Republican speakers], then somebody else has to do it. Because — not on my watch, I guess,” Norris explained.
Norris openly admitted to having a racist and sexist point of view regarding some of her students.
“Unfortunately, it’s the white boys who feel very entitled to express their opposite opinions and just push back,” Norris explained. “There’s a huge contingent of them that are just horrible. And you’re like, ‘Are you always going to be horrible, or are you just going to be horrible right now?’ Don’t know.”
Is Norris really saying that the students she describes should not be “entitled” to voice their opinions?
The administrator especially disdained white students with wealthy parents, calling them “awful people.” Those students who come from money likely make up a large portion of the student body, as tuition for the school costs more than $58,000 per student. The school houses grades K-12.
“I don’t know. I think they need to go. I think they’re really awful people. That’s kind of what I’m afraid of with my white students that are rich. I’m like — do you ever have to deal with this? They’re so protected by capitalism. It makes me sad,” Norris said.
Norris had some draconian ideas for removing such students from the school.
“We need to find some, like, Dexter, sort of like a vigilante, taking people out,” Norris joked. Dexter was a television series about a serial killer.
“We just need some vigilante, Dexters. Like, ‘Here’s your community of targets,’ Norris said.
According to Norris, even detention at the school is used as an opportunity to spread the gospel of social justice.
“I give them [students] all the art supplies. They can make posters together. We have people that go to every march,” Norris explained. “So, it’s like the punishment of detention, but it’s not punishment at all.”
When the Project Veritas undercover journalist brought up the idea of having a drag queen story hour for the school children, Norris was enthusiastic.
“Sure!” Norris said. “I think it would be awesome.”
Trinity School doesn’t appear to want to talk about or hear comments about the Project Veritas expose. As of this writing, the school’s Twitter page has been deleted and its Facebook account reports that “content isn’t available right now.”
Of course, this new Project Veritas series highlighting left-wing corruption in education isn’t telling readers of The New American anything new — it’s just more fuel for the fire. Parents are, often unwittingly, sending their most precious possessions — their children — into school systems that have no regard for faith, traditional values, or American ideals. And the more such indoctrination can be exposed, the better.

CLAIM: IRS agents plan to arrest and prosecute Americans for failure to pay new “assault weapons” taxes
Over the weekend, I was told from a reliable, embedded source that the Democrats, if they hold the House and Senate, plan to pass new “assault weapons” legislation that would require nationwide registration and tax payments for each rifle (or pistol capable of holding more than 10 rounds) that a person owns. If this passes, anyone obeying the new law would effectively violate their own Fifth Amendment rights by testifying against themselves via registration of their firearms. Failure to register or pay new firearm taxes would result in one of the new 87,000 IRS agents visiting your home and arresting you at gunpoint for “tax evasion.” (This explains the need for 87,000 new IRS agents and why they need to be trained in the use of “deadly force” against the American people.)
This effort is not designed to actually confiscate all the guns, I’m told, but rather to anger the American people so much that they revolt against the government, thereby creating the chaos that the regime needs to declare an active insurrection and invoke a form of martial law that would see US troops operating on the streets of America.
Essentially, the Biden regime is trying to “J6” half the country and throw as many conservatives, Christians, and pro-2A people as possible into gulags and death camps (formerly known as “quarantine camps” under covid, of course). The regime is merely one crisis away from pulling this off.
Remember that Democrats project all their own evil intentions onto their political opponents. When Democrats claim that conservatives are “a threat to democracy,” it’s because Democrats are trashing democracy. (They rigged the 2020 election with ballot stuffing mules, after all.) When they claim conservatives are violent, it’s because radical Leftists are violent. (Antifa, anyone?) When they claim conservatives don’t value children, it’s because Democrats themselves want to mutilate and murder children via transgender surgeries and abortions.
Every accusation the Democrats hurl at conservatives is actually a description of their own dark intentions.
The coming October false flag – can it be stopped?
In addition to the warnings described above — which would take place after the midterm elections — there’s a new warning emerging about an October surprise false flag attack that’s being engineered to portray conservatives and gun owners as violent terrorists. The media narrative is already being put into place on this, as you may have noticed, and the FBI is running a Whitmer-style false flag plot to recruit disenfranchised conservatives and make them the patsies in a large-scale bombing or shooting of some kind that will be tailor-made for CNN and the media to push the final “conservatives are terrorists” narrative.
Nobody is better at plotting and carrying out large-scale acts of terrorism in America than the FBI itself, which of course masterminded the 1993 Twin Towers bombing, the Oklahoma City bombing, the Waco affair (with the help of the ATF), and the 9/11 attack in NYC. The FBI was behind each of them, running the ops, recruiting the “terrorists” and providing intelligence, hardware, and technical assistance to carry out the attacks.
This new false flag attack is likely to be carried out just in time to strongly affect the early November midterm elections, and the staged terrorism event will be used as justification to arrest as many conservative podcasters (Gavin McInnes, anyone?), social media influencers and anyone to whom some level of “revolt” talk can be attributed. The First Amendment be damned, the Biden regime is going to say that any conservatives who merely expressed disagreement with the Biden regime are by definition guilty of yelling fire in a crowded theater and subject to arrest, even if they had nothing at all to do with whatever event unfolds.
That’s the mega-false flag event that’s being planned, I’m told. At the same time, there still exist white hat forces inside the FBI, DOJ, Pentagon, police forces, law enforcement, etc., who have a real shot at frustrating or even halting this effort. There’s a civil war right now inside the FBI and the Pentagon (both), and with each passing day, more and more government agents are realizing if they don’t get on the side of freedom and the rule of law, they will watch their own country go down in flames in the coming chaos. The worst deep state actors are rapidly running out of friends, and it is notable that even J6 wasn’t able to be pulled off as they had hoped. It fizzled. And the same may happen with the October surprise being planned. Improved election integrity in multiple states is also a positive factor
Notably, nearly two dozen US states have passed laws improving election integrity since the stolen 2020 election, and this may be a decisive factor in preventing the Dems from successfully rigging the midterms. If the GOP can seize the House — even without the Senate — the Biden regime’s most nefarious plans for gun confiscations and a civil war revolt are sent back to the drawing board. For this reason, voting for GOP candidates is critical to saving America, even as much as we are all fed up with the RINOs and the jellyfish spines of conservative lawmakers who seem utterly incapable of doing anything useful when they gain power.
In addition, many mainstream news publishers have seen enough of the lawlessness of the Democrats to start sounding the alarm. The WSJ, incredibly, is now calling out the FBI for its unjustifiable raid on Mar-a-Lago, as it seems the radical deep staters on the Left have gone too far even for Wall Street. After all, even the WSJ knows that a civil war or martial law is bad for markets, and as much as the WSJ pushes the mainstream narrative on almost everything (vaccines, Ukraine, etc.), it has obviously come to realize that if we don’t stop this lawlessness by the Democrats, whatever free market foundation still surviving in America is likely to be obliterated.
Tyranny is bad for business, in other words. Especially when you know where this is going: Price controls for food and fuel, followed by government seizure of private producers, resulting in full-blown fascism/communism as the government seizes the means of production and plunged America into a Venezuela-like collapse scenario, run by authoritarian tyrants who answer to anti-human globalists.

There should have been a victory parade and a nationwide celebration of the freedom of expression, but the great day came with no fanfare at all: the Department of Homeland Security has announced that its sinister little exercise in Orwellianism, the Disinformation Governance Board, as of Wednesday is officially and definitively dead. You may have thought this cynical attempt to criminalize dissent from the Left’s agenda had died long ago, but actually in mid-May the DHS only “paused” the Disinformation Governance Board, and there was every reason to believe that once the controversy had died down and Americans’ attention was elsewhere, it would be revived in some form or another. And make no mistake: that’s still true. It isn’t as if the Biden administration has suddenly discovered a new admiration for the freedom of speech.
The DHS announcement of the demise of the Ministry of Truth contained the seeds for its future revival, for it begins by reminding us of the alleged “threat” that “disinformation” poses to “the homeland,” that is, the embarrassment and irritation that news that isn’t approved by the political and media elites causes to those very same elites when it gets out to a large segment of the public: “The Department welcomes the recommendations of the Homeland Security Advisory Council, which has concluded that countering disinformation that threatens the homeland and providing the public with accurate information in response, is critical to fulfilling the Department’s missions. We thank the Subcommittee for its work, which required extensive fact gathering and analysis over a short period of time.”
Right after claiming that “disinformation” is a big threat, the DHS announces that “Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro N. Mayorkas has terminated the Disinformation Governance Board and rescinded its charter effective today, August 24, 2022.” Well, that’s great, but if disinformation is such a big threat, then why are you deep-sixing your anti-disinformation apparatus, Mr. Secretary? No explanation is included in the announcement, which continues: “With the HSAC recommendations as a guide, the Department will continue to address threat streams that undermine the security of our country consistent with the law while upholding the privacy, civil rights, and civil liberties of the American people and promoting transparency in our work.”
So what the DHS statement amounts to is an affirmation that America faces a very big threat from “disinformation,” and it’s the government’s job to save us from this “disinformation” by informing us of what is true and what isn’t and presumably to censor the alleged disinformation in some way. But then the statement announces that the board that DHS set up for precisely that purpose is being terminated and then goes on to say that DHS will keep working against alleged threats to “the homeland.” So in three terse paragraphs, we have two declarations that DHS must fight threats, and one statement that a principal means to fight these threats is being terminated.
It would make more sense with the overall thrust of the announcement if the second paragraph had been about establishing the Disinformation Governance Board rather than disbanding it. And that’s just one reason why it’s virtually certain that the Board will be back under some new clumsy Orwellian name and with better PR but unmistakably the same thing as the first Board was: an attempt to restrict the freedom of speech of Americans and to control the public discourse so that only the Left’s perspective gets aired.
In fact, the Board may already be back. Back in June, the Biden administration announced, according to the New York Post, that a new disinformation team headed by none other than Kamala Harris would be focused on “developing programs and policies” that would protect “political figures” from “disinformation,” “abuse” and “harassment.” This disinformation panel includes Mayorkas, Secretary of State Antony Blinken, and Gestapo chief Merrick Garland and presumably is up and running, albeit with a studiously low profile, so as to avoid the outrage and uncomfortable First Amendment questions that did in the first Board.
Nonetheless, Harris’ panel is also on dangerous ground in terms of the First Amendment, as “abuse” and “harassment,” to say nothing of “disinformation,” are subjective terms. What is to prevent the person who is charged with judging what constitutes them — Harris, evidently — from considering sharp criticism, or even any criticism at all, no matter how accurate or justified, to be abuse or harassment? As the DHS continues to work on ways to counter the “threat” of “disinformation,” will it ever deign to explain to us peasants how it plans to distinguish actual disinformation from genuine disagreement on the facts or how it intends to ensure that its efforts against “disinformation” aren’t just an attempt to silence political disagreement?
No such explanations are likely to be forthcoming. But more efforts to shut down the freedom of speech? They’ll be coming for sure, and quickly.

If Democrats have their way, one of the most detested federal agencies—the Internal Revenue Service—will employ more bureaucrats than the Pentagon, State Department, FBI, and Border Patrol combined.
Under the Inflation Reduction Act negotiated by Sen. Joe Manchin (D., W.Va.), the agency would receive $80 billion in funding to hire as many as 87,000 additional employees. The increase would more than double the size of the IRS workforce, which currently has 78,661 full-time staffers, according to federal data.
The additional IRS funding is integral to the Democrats’ reconciliation package. A Congressional Budget Office analysis found the hiring of new IRS agents would result in more than $200 billion in additional revenue for the federal government over the next decade. More than half of that funding is specifically earmarked for “enforcement,” meaning tax audits and other responsibilities such as “digital asset monitoring.”
That would make the IRS one of the largest federal agencies. The Pentagon houses roughly 27,000 employees, according to the Defense Department, while a human resources fact sheet says the State Department employs just over 77,243 staff. The FBI employs approximately 35,000 people, according to the agency’s website, and Customs and Border Protection says it employs 19,536 Border Patrol agents.
The money allocated to the IRS would increase the agency’s budget by more than 600 percent. In 2021, the IRS received $12.6 billion.
Although Democrats say the hiring of additional IRS agents will help root out tax cheats and other criminals, federal tax revenues have steadily risen over the past several decades. Federal tax receipts are projected to hit $5.7 trillion in 2027, up from just over $4 trillion last year without additional IRS agents….

Inflation is skyrocketing. Gas prices, despite Old Joe Biden’s crowing about minor reductions, are still substantially higher than they were before his presidency was inflicted upon us. America’s global standing is drastically diminished by Biden’s handlers’ catastrophically botched withdrawal from Afghanistan, due to the lack of preparedness of a politicized military distracted by wokeism. Yes, it’s true. The people who run Joe Biden looked around at their dumpster fire of an administration, and the smoking ruin they have wrought, and decided that what America really needs are tens of thousands of new employees for the IRS.

Why does the IRS need so many new full-time employees? Why does it need a six-hundred-percent budget increase? It’s all part of the administration’s ongoing efforts to squeeze the American middle class. The Free Beacon notes that according to “a Congressional Budget Office analysis,” the new behemoth IRS “would result in more than $200 billion in additional revenue for the federal government over the next decade.” This is because the new IRS agents would devote substantial energy to squeezing Americans and bleeding them dry: “Democrats say the hiring of additional IRS agents will help root out tax cheats and other criminals,” for “more than half of that funding is specifically earmarked for ‘enforcement,’ meaning tax audits and other responsibilities such as ‘digital asset monitoring.’”
It’s easy to see where all this is going. The new super-IRS will be as corrupt and politicized as the FBI already is, and would use its new staff and money to go after dissenters from the Leftist regime in Washington. The IRS is already one of the most hated and feared of all federal agencies, and one that was already politicized during Barack Obama’s first two terms, when the infamous Lois Lerner began persecuting conservative nonprofit organizations.
Back in the heady days of April 2017, then-House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Kevin Brady and then-Tax Policy Subcommittee Chairman Peter Roskam asked the Justice Department to reopen a probe into Lerner’s conduct. They wrote: “On April 9, 2014, the House Committee on Ways and Means voted to send a letter to the Department of Justice referring former IRS Exempt Organizations Division Director Lois G. Lerner for criminal prosecution. As indicated in the attached letter, the Committee’s nearly three-year investigation uncovered evidence of willful misconduct on the part of Ms. Lerner. Despite this fact, and for what many believe were purely partisan reasons, the prior Administration refused to review Ms. Lerner’s misconduct.”
Indeed. And that misconduct had to do with the politicization of the IRS: “In particular,” Brady and Roskam continued, “the Committee found that Ms. Lerner used her position to improperly influence IRS action against conservative organizations, denying these groups due process and protection rights under the law. The Committee also found she impeded official investigations by providing misleading statements in response to questions from the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration. Finally, Lerner risked exposing, and may have actually disclosed, confidential taxpayer information, in apparent violation of Internal Revenue Code section 6103 by using her personal email to conduct official business.”
Nothing was done, of course, and now Lois Lerner’s friends and colleagues are back in power. They’re poised now with their new funding to make her look like an impartial, absolutely honest, trustworthy public official. It’s clear that Biden’s handlers, having already turned the Justice Department into a tool of his agenda, now wants to corrupt the IRS in a similar way, and turn it against those who dare to resist the implementation of his socialist, green agenda. Is there anyone among our elected officials in Washington who has the will to stop them in their ongoing efforts to corrupt the American system to its very core?

The Biden administration has made no secret about its desire to insert itself into the lives of Americans as much as possible — especially when it comes to guns.
There aren’t many things that the administration wants more than to enact gun control, and the first step to confiscating guns would be a nationwide gun registry. Think about it: if the feds know who owns what, it’s easier for them to go after otherwise law-abiding gun owners.
Thankfully, the law prohibits the federal government from compiling a gun registry, although some states do have them. That’s not stopping the administration from using executive agencies to gather gun use data in a sneaky way.
Here’s how: the Department of Commerce sends out a census survey called a Commodity Flow Survey every year that ends in 2 or 7.
“The purpose of the survey is to help the federal government understand the flow of commerce to help shape policies regarding transportation and shipping,” explains John Crump at Ammoland.
Shipment ID number, shipment date, the month of the day, not the year. The value of the shipment, the weight of the shipment in pounds. The commodity code for standard classification of transported goods, which is a list from the Department of Commerce, the commodity description, a hazmat number if it applies, the modes of transportation by which it was transported, the city and country if it’s a foreign destination, how it was transported abroad if it was transported abroad, and if transported domestically, the city, the state, and the zip code of where it went. So not the physical address, but the city, the state, and the zip code.
Since it’s 2022, it’s the year for the Commodity Flow Survey. Normally the surveys go out to a random sampling of businesses, but this year, a disproportionate amount of them went to companies that sell accessories for guns, like scopes and holsters.
Companies face a fine if they don’t fill out the form, although only one fine has been issued in the history of this survey, and that was in 1994. But the companies receiving this year’s surveys are concerned about the implications of the administration compiling so much gun accessory information at one time.
“The Bruen decision confirmed that we the people have a right to carry a gun outside the home for self-defense,” Crump points out. “Using holster data, the government could potentially figure out where people plan on concealing a firearm and match that up against permitting data to determine who will be carrying arms without going through the ‘proper’ channels to carry a gun.”
Some of the companies have hired counsel to help them fight the bureaucratic overreach of the Biden administration.
“Some companies reached out to Arbiter Weston Martinez of Texas for help,” writes Crump. “Mr. Martinez is the former Texas Real Estate Commissioner under former Governor Rick Perry. Mr. Martinez is well connected in the political sphere and believes that the companies are being targeted to gather intel on the gun market. He has vowed to help push back against the alleged government overreach.”
“This particular administration has shown that they are the least trustworthy of any administration in the history of the United States when it comes to the lawful rights of lawful responsible gun owners nationwide,” William Kirk, president of Washington Gun Law, said in a video. “You see with this data, not only could you derive who is purchasing holsters, but in many ways, you would be able to determine what a person was likely carrying and even how they may be carrying a weapon.”
Erickson agrees that the administration is plowing ahead with this egregious overreach with no regard for the rights of American citizens.
“They don’t care about your privacy,” he said. “They don’t care about your gun rights. They don’t care about congressional laws that prohibit the formation of a gun registry. They want to be able to target and harass gun owners.”
This administration will stop at nothing to foist its far-left agenda, including doing an end-run around the law and using administrative data to go after legal gun owners. We must stop these people, and that starts with voting GOP in 2022.

“At This Manhattan Middle School, Sixth-Graders Are Asked To Surveil Friends and Family for ‘Microaggressions,’” by Aaron Sibarium, Washington Free Beacon, July 27, 2022:
A New York City public school encouraged students as young as 10 years old to keep a list of all the “microaggressions” they witnessed, both at school and in their own families, according to materials from the school’s curriculum reviewed by the Washington Free Beacon. The same students were also asked to list their gender identity—”cisgender,” “nonbinary,” or “trans”—as well as their sexual orientation on a graded worksheet.
The sixth-grade humanities curriculum from Lower Manhattan Community Middle School, where just 31 percent of students are white, required students to read Tiffany Jewell’s This Book Is Anti-Racist, one of only five books assigned for the 2021-2022 year. The book contains 20 lessons on “how to wake up, take action, and do the work”—including the work of confronting the police, which Jewell suggests white students can do without ending up “in jail or harmed.”
“If you are a Black, Brown, or Indigenous Person of the Global Majority, you will need to decide how each outcome could end for you,” Jewell writes in a chapter called “Choosing My Path.” “White people, this is not something you need to do because you are at the center of the system.”
The book also asks students to surveil their friends and family for racist behavior. “Grab your notebook,” one “activity” instructs readers. “Look and listen for the microaggressions around you. Write them down and note your observations.” Another activity asks students how “folx” in their families “resisted” or “contributed to racism,” defined as the “systemic misuse and abuse of power by institutions.”
The curriculum, which went into effect August 2021, came as parents across New York City were mobilizing against critical race theory in public schools—and as education officials across the country were denying that there was any such thing.

One month earlier, New York Regents chancellor Lester Young stated that critical race theory “is not our theory of action” and assured parents that “we are not preparing young people to be activists.”

Project Veritas founder James O’Keefe noted during the release of the video last year that Zuckerberg would have been “censored on the platform” if what he said to his staff in July was posted on Facebook. He would be “basically violating his own code of conduct,” O’Keefe said.
“It is yet another case of ‘one rule for thee, and another for me’ that the elite use to control the masses,” news website News Punch said.
However, the freedom to express has been throttled on Facebook and the other major social media platforms in recent years.
Meta had censored 20 million posts since the start of the pandemic
Last year, FB and Instagram (IG), which is also under the Meta Platforms umbrella, banned major groups, accounts and IG pages for speaking out and raising concerns and doubts about the vaccines’ adverse effects.
According to a Coordinated Inauthentic Behavior Report last year, FB removed 65 of its own and 243 IG accounts for spreading “misinformation” about the COVID-19 vaccines. They have removed more than 20 million individual posts since the start of the pandemic.
In an interview with CBS in August last year, TV anchor Gayle King asked Zuckerberg to release information on how many people have viewed and shared FB posts containing misinformation about the COVID-19 vaccine.
“I think, to some degree, there are also different definitions that people have over what misinformation is. A lot of the stuff that’s actually the hardest for us to really address is not what I would call ‘misinformation’ but instead another category that I would call ‘hesitancy,'” he said at the time. One of the well-known personalities that have been banned from social media is Robert F. Kennedy Jr., an environmental lawyer who emerged as one of the most influential voices during the early days of the pandemic.
Kennedy Jr., who describes himself as a vaccine safety advocate, was not impressed with Bill Gates’ track record of pushing vaccines on vulnerable populations, causing serious health problems in some cases. Subsequently, Meta “fact-checkers” banned Kennedy Jr. from Instagram for speaking out about vaccine safety.
