The German government is forcing children in schools across the country to wear compulsory coronavirus face masks. If children are unable to wear the state-mandated mask, even for medical reasons, they are not allowed on school premises.

In the following video (audio-only), a mother speaks out against the order banning her son from attending school without a face mask even though her son has a medical condition that precludes him from doing so.

He’s not allow to set foot on the school premises. He’s no longer able to participate. I find it to be quite alarming that it has come to this. Let me say this clearly: I think this is dangerous.

The mother is not only worried about her child, but also the effects of masks on all children. Her concerns include medical consequences such as lack of oxygen, psychological and mental effects and intellectual development delays.

Many parents are terrified to challenge the state’s totalitarian coronavirus regulations being enforced against children and their families. Not only can failure to comply with mask requirements lead to expulsion from school, but now the state has been granted the power to remove sick children from their parents’ custody and place them in ‘forced isolation’ corona facilities.

Despite German Chancellor Angela Merkel’s governments oppressive ordinances, the mother urges people to unite and stand together in protest:

Where are the people who resist? The ones who are going to say: “I’m taking this thing off! Who’s going to forbid me from breathing freely in this country?”

If we do not resist, where will the demands end, asked the mother:

Mandatory vaccines? And the chip that will probably follow that? Where does it end? When do we say, I don’t want my child to live in such a world? We were talking about digitization. In the future will it be my job as a teacher to speak to every student online in their house? With everything under surveillance.”

because we had a certificate from his doctor stating he can’t wear a mask. Now the school says,

If there are any other parents that see this critically and think it is strange that their 
children have to wear a mask for six to eight hours. The entire time. It would be great 
if you contact me, because I think it is time that we start to become active. 

Our children are being made sick by being made to wear these masks. They breath CO2 back in 
constantly, so they are constantly suffering from a lack of oxygen. Of course the body gets 
used to it. They don’t pass out right away, but it means the brain receives less oxygen. 
The muscles also receive less oxygen. It also causes psychological problems, if they 
constantly see masked people. They can’t see the facial expressions of others. When they 
are constantly told to practice social distancing. I wanted to say this clearly and wish 
more parents would take a stand and refuse to allow their children to be placed into 
such conditions.

I think what makes it worse here at this school, more then any other school, is that this 
school has a flag with the pledge: “Responsible for the emotional, cognitive and physical 
well-being of children”. And it is supposed to ensure our children are doing well. 
I had to say that at least. My child will not attend school as long as this ordinance 
is in place, because I don’t want him to get sick from it.

Today I heard from the Robert Koch Institute (RKI), after the constant warnings 
circulating about a second lockdown, the second wave, etc. — there isn’t a single 
positive sample of SARS-COV 2. Not one. There’s all this talk about testing, testing, 
testing, Which is just showing that someone might have fragments of the virus, but is healthy,
and that there are many false positive included in the results. So where are all the 
dead people? Where are all the corpses from this pandemic? I keep asking myself that 
the entire time. WHERE ARE THEY!?

I have to ask. I want the truth. No one is talking about this and everyone is just believing it. 
We’re so very obedient. It makes me want to puke. Where are the people who resist? The ones 
who are going to say: “I’m taking this thing off! Who’s going to forbid me from breathing 
freely in this country?” Outside or wherever? In Israel they have to wear masks everywhere! 
I’m going to protest! It’s probably going to happen here too, if we don’t put a stop to it. 
Are we going to do that too? Mandatory vaccines? And the chip that will probably follow that?
Where does it end?

When do we say, I don’t want my child to live in such a world? We were talking about 
digitization. In the future will it be my job as a teacher to speak to every student 
online in their house? With everything under surveillance. 

I don’t want to live like that, and that’s why I am taking a stand against it. I’m a good 
person. I don’t do stupid things. I’m not a right-wing extremist or anything like that. 
I’m fighting for the children, for all of our children.

So, people, since I recently returned to school, yesterday, I could clearly recognize how deceptively the schools operate. Although the mandatory mask requirement in the classroom for schools [in NRW] was overturned, what they are doing now is really clever.

As soon as students enter the classroom, the windows and doors are all opened. All the students are sitting there with, really, every window open. Doors too. There’s an enormous draft. It’s freezing cold.

Then the teacher says, “We’ll close the window when you put your masks on”.

So you have the choice between getting sick because you’re freezing the entire time in school or you put the sh***y mask on. Most comply at that point.

Teachers come into classes saying, “Oh, yes, I know there isn’t a mask requirement, but nevertheless I would ask you to put your masks on so we protect each other.”

Students are being directly manipulated.

I’m talking about students from the age of 19 or 20 years old at vocational schools.

Maybe even 25 years old or whatever. They acquiesce directly.

There are other methods. A teacher is wearing a mask and mumbling.

Teachers who put masks on purposefully mumble behind their masks so that no one can understand.

When the students say they can’t understand, or we can’t understand, the teacher’s ice-cold response is, “That’s your problem.

If you put on your masks, then I’ll take mine off.”

That’s how it works now. Absolutely manipulative. Extremely disgusting.

Yes, it would be interesting to see how it is at elementary schools, and I am going to find out.

If children in the elementary school are sitting in drafty classrooms and start getting sick because of this manipulative crap, then I think we as parents aren’t finished with this topic yet.

It looks like we celebrated too soon after hearing that the mask requirement was overturned.

Imagine students sitting in classroom in this horrible weather in a nonstop draft, and being oppressed by this method. Totally manipulated.

The choice is either you put your masks on or you sit here in the freezing cold, getting sick.

Either you put your masks on or you can’t understand a thing I say.

It’s a filthy trick. I’m outraged.

It’s just completely disgusting how manipulative the teachers are acting.

Unbelievable. Unbelievable. Have a nice day.

Chinese Government Combines ‘Track and Trace’ Corona System With Social Credit Score

The Communist government of China has combined its coronavirus ‘track and trace’ system with the country’s notorious social credit score.

As the Epoch Times’ Joshua Philipp explains, fears that the new COVID surveillance system would be used for “totalitarian social monitoring” are being realized in China.

“The local government of China’s Jiangsu province has launched a new social control system that combines the CCP’s health code program with the regime’s social credit system to create what they’re calling a civilization code,” Philipp reported.

The new system ranks each citizen via a “civilization score” and then places them in a category which determines whether they get priority access to services or are punished and restricted.

The new system represents an expansion of the social credit score and is being initially rolled out in the city of Suzhou and will apply to everyone over the age of 18.

Last year, we also highlighted how Chinese citizens would need to pass a facial recognition test to access the Internet in another expansion of the social credit score system.

In August 2019, the Communist state bragged about how it had prevented 2.5 million “discredited entities” from purchasing plane tickets and 90,000 people from buying high speed train tickets in the month of July alone.

As we document in the video below, the onerous social credit score system is literally designed to punish and socially ostracize dissidents who express controversial opinions.

In the age of social media de-platforming, an identical system is gradually being introduced in the west, where people who have been banned by social media networks for ‘offensive’ views are then also de-platformed by companies and banks.

 

TRUMP THREATENS FUNDING FOR SCHOOLS TEACHING 1619 PROJECT

President Trump appears to be fighting attempts by the Left to erase American history.

A Washington, D.C., working group called District of Columbia Facilities and Commemorative Expressions (DCFACES), formed by Mayor Muriel Bowser, released findings and recommendations for changes to city facility names on August 31. The group was tasked with determining how many of district-owned, or federal-owned, facilities bear the names of people “inconsistent with DC values and, in some way encouraged the oppression of African Americans and other communities of color or contributed to our long history of systemic racism.” Besides making recommendations to change the names of many D.C. schools, parks, and other public building, on page 22 of the report, DCFACES offered recommendations for the federal government to “remove, relocate or contextualize” a group of national memorials and monuments, including the Washington Monument, the Jefferson Memorial, the Christopher Columbus Fountain, and the Benjamin Franklin Statue.

The Trump administration reacted swiftly, with Interior Secretary David Bernhardt tweeting:

Following that, Trump responded to a tweet on September 6 about California implementing the New York Times’ 1619 Project in their public schools:

Trump stated at a press conference the following day:

I want people to know everything they can about our history. I am not a believer in cancel culture. If you don’t study the bad, it could happen again. I want it studied very, very carefully, and studied accurately. But we grew up with a certain history, and now they are trying to change our history, revisionist history. That’s why they want to take down our monuments, take down our statues. I saw something the other day which was absolutely horrendous -- the Washington Monument, they want to rename it the D.C. Committee, but the D.C. Committee is all Democrats. Abraham Lincoln, Thomas Jefferson, I mean, we are talking about this is the big stuff now. This is the big stuff, and they want to rename it? They want to redesignate it? They want to take some down? No. We don’t do that. Never going to happen with me.

Reaction to Trump’s statements varied from support to resistance, with Nikole Hannah-Jones, the Pulitzer Prize-winning New York Times journalist responsible for the 1619 Project, responding with, “Do those concerns about cancel culture and McCarthyism and censorship only apply to the left or do they apply to the POTUS threatening to investigate schools for teaching American journalism? Silence is deafening here”

Further attacking Trump’s stance on the 1619 Project was Seth Cohen. In a piece written for Forbes, he stated:

On Sunday morning, President Trump tweeted an attack on the 1619 Project, threatening to withhold funding from California schools teaching the popular journalism project focused on the rise and impact of slavery in the United States. With his newest tweet, the President’s actions raise a troubling question:

Why is the Trump administration threatening to censor the way schools teach about the history of slavery and racism in the United States?

But perhaps most troubling of all, Trump’s tweet and the arguments of his administration and allies demonstrate a belief that history should be taught in a way that limits criticism of the United States. Further, Trump himself has shown that he is willing to take action to constructively censor those whose views of history conflict with those of the administration.

That’s not teaching history that is shaping national propaganda.

For those unfamiliar with the 1619 Project, it is a collection of essays, short fiction, and poems forming an “ongoing initiative from The New York Times Magazine that began in August 2019, the 400th anniversary of the beginning of American slavery. It aims to reframe the country’s history by placing the consequences of slavery and the contributions of black Americans at the very center of our national narrative.”

The Project has received accolades from those who seem to be intent on rewriting American history, and significant criticism from those concerned with historical accuracy. For liberals, the Project helps unify their message that America is and always was a racist country. In the words of Nikole Hannah-Jones, “It is time for this country to pay its debt. It is time for reparations.”

Considering the 1619 Project’s deep-rooted historical inaccuracies, undisguised hatred of capitalism, embrace of celebrity and identity politics, President Trump is entirely correct to defund the Project and its rewriting of American history; it is an attack on America itself. As George Orwell wrote in 1984: “Those who control the present, control the past and those who control the past control the future.”

Season three of “Star Trek: Discovery” on CBS All Access will introduce the franchise’s first “transgender” and “non-binary” characters in the history of the science fiction drama.

“Star Trek has always made a mission of giving visibility to underrepresented communities because it believes in showing people that a future without division on the basis of race, gender, gender identity or sexual orientation is entirely within our reach,” Executive Producer Michelle Paradise said in a press release.

The season, beginning Oct. 15, will include Blu del Barrio, who identifies as “non-binary,” as the character Adira. Non-binary is defined as “neither exclusively male or female.” Ian Alexander, a female who identifies as male, will play the role of Gray.

The homosexual and transgender advocacy group GLAAD recently interviewed del Barrio about her experience in acting for the series, in which — as part of the storyline — she slowly comes out as “non-binary” to friends Lt. Commander Paul Stamets and Dr. Hugh Culber, who are both open homosexuals.

“If someone had a question about my identity, they asked it thoughtfully and kindly. When I went to our costume department and sheepishly asked them if I could use a binder under my costumes, they went and MADE me one,” she said of the cast and crew.

“I know this isn’t how it would go on every set, but it was clear that on the Discovery set, the producers, directors, writers, cast, and crew were equally committed to writing these wonderful characters in Adira and Gray, and creating a safe and healthy work environment for me and Ian,” del Barrio stated.

Star Trek also took to social media to tout the inclusion of del Barrio and Alexander, simply writing, “Welcome Blu del Barrio and @ianaIexander to the #StarTrekFamily! They will be playing Adira, Star Trek’s first non-binary character, and Gray, Star Trek’s first transgender character in #StarTrekDiscovery Season 3.”

The announcement generated mixed reaction from followers.

“I am overjoyed. To have such overall inclusive representation in a mainstream long time renowned sci-fi franchise is overwhelming and breathtaking,” one commenter wrote.

“I identify as bi-gender. Having Adira as my representation as a non-binary character is empowering,” another said.

“I am disapointed with Star Trek Discovery, and the Star Trek brand now,” a third advised. “I am a huge fan of all the old stuff. A character should be added on their merits, not the need to rub virtue signaling in our face.”

“Seriously… God must be in pain,” another remarked.

According to reports, Star Trek creator Gene Roddenberry was a humanist and had wanted to include script about his criticisms of God in the production, but the concept was too controversial.

“The Enterprise meets God in space; God is a life form, and I wanted to suggest that there may have been, at one time in the human beginning, an alien entity that early man believed was God and kept those legends,” he is quoted as stating. “But I also wanted to suggest that it might have been as much the devil as it was God. After all, what kind of God would throw humans out of Paradise for eating the fruit of the Tree of Knowledge?”

“One of the Vulcans on board, in a very logical way, says, ‘If this is your God, He’s not very impressive. He’s got so many psychological problems; He’s so insecure. He demands worship every seven days. He goes out and creates faulty humans and then blames them for His own mistakes. He’s a pretty poor excuse for a Supreme Being.”

The Bible also teaches about regeneration, as in addition to sparing guilty men from eternal punishment, Christ sent his Holy Spirit to make those who would repent and believe the gospel new creatures in the here and now, with new desires and an ability to do what is pleasing in the sight of God by His indwelling and empowerment (Ezekiel 11:192 Corinthians 5:17Titus 3:5).

Jesus said that men must be born again, and have their very nature transformed by the Spirit from being in Adam to being in Christ, or they cannot see the Kingdom of God (John 3:3-8).

During his Fourth of July speech at Mount Rushmore, President Trump criticized schools for teaching a view of American history that leads children to hate their own country:

“The violent mayhem we have seen in our streets and cities that are run by liberal Democrats in every case is the predictable result of years of extreme indoctrination, and bias in education, journalism, and other cultural institutions. Against every law of society and nature, our children are taught in school to hate their own country and to believe that the men and women who built it weren’t heroes but villains. The radical view of American history is a web of lies.”

Reprogramming

As a parent, I can tell you he is not wrong. I can remember when one of my children came home with the book Lies My Teacher Told Me, Everything Your American History Book Got Wrong. After flipping through the text, I was furious. This book is touted as a non-partisan tome, yet it highlighted the worst chapters of our history, taking the dimmest possible view of everything.

Are there portions of history that are difficult to look at or understand? Absolutely. Does that mean we should take a dim view of the ideals that have given more freedom to more people from around the globe than any other? Absolutely not. The assignment of this book marks the moment when I started to engage in some necessary reprogramming.

By sheer luck, my younger children had a staunch libertarian teacher for American Government in high school. They got an excellent textual understanding of our founding documents and got exposed to the Federalist Papers. They like the play Hamilton, but they know there is a significant amount of license taken with the presentation of the history.

If we are going to have government-funded education, Republican administrations should take some bold steps to reform it. Taxpayers should not be funding a system that leads to another generation of children who take a dim view of America as the singular global villain.

This view makes them more willing to accept the premise of managed decline that globalists have fed us for the last thirty years. The same premise they are ramping up in programs like The Great Reset from the World Economic Forum. Taking the long view, that is not the country we want our grandchildren and great-grandchildren inheriting.

Here a few ideas that may be considered radical, but we should not shy away from insisting our schools function in the national interest.

K-12 Curriculum

The K-12 curriculum is an excellent place to start. The DOE under Secretary Betsy DeVos should immediately identify history texts written for the Howard Zinn view of history and use funding as leverage to get schools to stop using them. Mary Grabar’s Debunking Howard Zinn makes a case for eliminating his books from our classrooms.

Howard Zinn’s A People’s History of the United States has sold more than 2.5 million copies. It is pushed by Hollywood celebrities, defended by university professors who know better, and assigned in high school and college classrooms to teach students that American history is nothing more than a litany of oppression, slavery, and exploitation.

Next, use funding leverage again to get the horrific 1619 Project out of our schools. Professors of history from the right and the left have criticized the assertions of the project. The New York Timeseven ignored the fact-checker the paper employed. The project leader Nikole Hannah-Jones is a far-left radical whose recent commentary on riots and looting prove the thesis. She asserts the objections to her project are based on differences in opinion among black and white historians. However, she has also publicly admitted she had overstated her premise. Yet, outrageously, her project is being published as a book, and schools are being encouraged to teach it.

Then make any funds for school construction contingent on states and cities removing limits on the number of charter schools that can form. Economist Thomas Sowell makes an indisputable case for charter schools in his latest book Charter Schools and their Enemies. He asserts that arbitrary limits on these institutions disadvantage students in underperforming districts. President Trump has called school choice the civil rights issue of our time, and Secretary DeVos is a champion as well. Take bold action.

Higher Education

At the collegiate level, use federal student loan programs to support STEM programs and other skills needed by the labor market. Choke the grievance studies departments out of existence or let the elite institutions that spawned them fund them out of their endowments. These fields make our children easier to radicalize. Note that many of the DOJ arrests related to recent riots involve people 25 and younger.

Finally, the primary purpose of a public education system should be to provide a qualified labor force to the labor market. Let’s reconsider merging those departments as former OMB Director Mick Mulvaney proposed. Taking a long-term view of K-12 education and how it needs to evolve to prepare children for careers is more than necessary. It would also help accelerate improvement to the technical school programs that launched with a public-private partnership through the Department of Labor in 2019. Robust apprenticeships and trade programs will help reduce the student debt problem going forward.

Public education should serve the national interest by preparing a workforce invested in our nation’s success. The Trump administration and Secretary DeVos should develop a robust plan to refocus the department on this central mission.

TRUMP BANS CRITICAL RACE THEORY CLASSES IN FEDERAL AGENCIES

Several whistleblowers have exposed how critical race theory is being used in federal agencies. Now President Trump has directed Russel Vought, director of the Office of Management and Budget, to issue a directive banning this type of training. The directive is an excellent move by the president that will prevent the erosion of trust and productivity in our federal agencies. From the directive:

For example, according to press reports, employees across the Executive Branch have been required to attend trainings where they are told that “virtually all White people contribute to racism” or where they are required to say that they “benefit from racism.” According to press reports, in some cases these training have further claimed that there is racism embedded in the belief that America is the land of opportunity or the belief that the most qualified person should receive a job.

These types of “trainings” not only run counter to the fundamental beliefs for which our Nation has stood since its inception, but they also engender division and resentment within the Federal workforce. We can be proud that as an employer, the Federal government has employees of all races, ethnicities, and religions. We can be proud that Americans from all over the country seek to join our workforce and dedicate themselves to public service. We can be proud of our continued efforts to welcome all individuals who seek to serve their fellow Americans as Federal employees. However, we cannot accept our employees receiving training that seeks to undercut our core values as Americans and drive division within our workforce.

This assertion is precisely correct, especially since the precursor to critical race theory training was given the label “diversity” training.

The Insane Grift of Critical Race Theory Training In Federal Agencies

Volumes of research have demonstrated that this type of training has virtually no return on investment, especially when the trainings are mandatory. From Harvard Business Review:

It shouldn’t be surprising that most diversity programs aren’t increasing diversity. Despite a few new bells and whistles, courtesy of big data, companies are basically doubling down on the same approaches they’ve used since the 1960s—which often make things worse, not better. Firms have long relied on diversity training to reduce bias on the job, hiring tests and performance ratings to limit it in recruitment and promotions, and grievance systems to give employees a way to challenge managers. Those tools are designed to preempt lawsuits by policing managers’ thoughts and actions. Yet laboratory studies show that this kind of force-feeding can activate bias rather than stamp it out. As social scientists have found, people often rebel against rules to assert their autonomy. Try to coerce me to do X, Y, or Z, and I’ll do the opposite just to prove that I’m my own person.

The programs also don’t increase diversity in organizations. The study gave an example from the financial industry:

It’s no wonder that Wall Street firms now require new hires to sign arbitration contracts agreeing not to join class actions. They have also expanded training and other diversity programs. But on balance, equality isn’t improving in financial services or elsewhere. Although the proportion of managers at U.S. commercial banks who were Hispanic rose from 4.7% in 2003 to 5.7% in 2014, white women’s representation dropped from 39% to 35%, and black men’s from 2.5% to 2.3%. The numbers were even worse in investment banks (though that industry is shrinking, which complicates the analysis). Among all U.S. companies with 100 or more employees, the proportion of black men in management increased just slightly—from 3% to 3.3%—from 1985 to 2014. White women saw bigger gains from 1985 to 2000—rising from 22% to 29% of managers—but their numbers haven’t budged since then. Even in Silicon Valley, where many leaders tout the need to increase diversity for both business and social justice reasons, bread-and-butter tech jobs remain dominated by white men.

If you were ever required to attend one of these training sessions, you might recall the concept of unconscious bias. The idea is that there are things you are not aware of that can lead to discrimination, and the training attempted to itemize them. Behaviors such a stereotyping and the halo effect were explained, and techniques for avoiding them were provided.

This training didn’t blame or accuse attendees. It was couched as providing information. As it turns out, the concept of unconscious bias has been pretty well debunked, but it is still used in many workplaces. Even though it was informational in nature, it was still ineffective and often activated bias.

Critical race theory training is far worse. The premise is that if you are white, you are racist. Also, you are part of a racist system constructed solely to oppress minorities. You are judged to be a part of a guilty collective and cannot escape its original sin. The failure of people of other races to succeed is because the system will not allow them to, and this confers privilege on you that you must acknowledge.

If you deny any of this, critical race theory states this proves you are indeed racist. If you ask for evidence, you deny your privilege. As Christopher Rufo noted after a leak of the training given at Sandia National Laboratory, the workplace training was just one big struggle session. The participants were required to pen apologies to minority employees for not recognizing their own privilege.

Insane? Without a doubt. The theory can also be repeated based on gender or any other immutable characteristic the social justice crowd is focused on. It will always place you in a group and assign oppressor or victim status to you. It is toxic beyond belief and will dissolve workplace productivity and relationships.

President Trump, recognizing how this training is antithetical to American values such as hard work, competence, and being judged as an individual, has taken an excellent step in the right direction. With any luck, this move at the federal level will give some CEOs courage to resist their woke HR interns and say no to this workplace culture-killing curriculum.

Hopefully, a similar directive will go out from the Department of Education. While I believe education is a local responsibility, the teachers’ unions and Black Lives Matter are pushing this curriculum on a nationwide scale. There have been hundreds of files leaked to Glenn Beck that give examples of incorporating social justice concepts into math, science, and social studies. You may have seen examples on Facebook or Twitter. Teachers are not coming up with this on their own. It is being given to them.

The only way to stop the toxic effects of critical race theories and other critical studies is to root them out of our institutions. Getting this out of the federal government is just one battle won. Public schools should be next.

Trump Takes Aim at Marxist Propaganda Behind the BLM Riots

On Friday, President Donald Trump ordered that federal agencies cease leading any training sessions that push “critical race theory,” “white privilege,” or any other “propaganda effort” teaching that either the United States or any race is inherently racist or evil. On Sunday, he announced that the Department of Education (DOE) is investigating schools that teach The New York Times‘ “1619 Project” and warned that any school doing so “will not be funded.”

Trump is pushing back against the rising tide of Marxist critical theory. This noxious ideology, championed in the 1619 Project and in the “anti-racism” movement supporting the official Marxist Black Lives Matter organization, has inspired much of the violent looting, rioting, and arson in cities across America this summer. Indeed, some have referred to the riots as “the 1619 riots” for this reason.

Trump’s assault on Marxist critical theory

On Friday, Russell Vought, director of the Office of Management and Budget (OMB), sent a memoto the heads of executive departments and agencies, ordering them to cease using curricula based on Marxist critical theory for their employee trainings.

“It has come to the President’s attention that Executive Branch agencies have spent millions of taxpayer dollars to date ‘training’ government workers to believe divisive, anti-American propaganda,” Vought wrote. The OMB director seems to have been referring to the 1,483 pages of Department of Defense (DOD) training materials Judicial Watch unearthed in July. An April 2015 training, for instance, branded the idea that “individual effort is key to success” as a form of “Racist Behavior.”

Vought referenced training sessions that teach that “virtually all White people contribute to racism” and others claiming that “there is racism embedded in the belief that America is the land of opportunity or the belief that the most qualified person should receive a job.”

“These types of ‘trainings’ not only run counter to the fundamental beliefs for which our Nation has stood since its inception, but they also engender division and resentment within the Federal workforce,” Vought wrote. “The President has directed me to ensure that Federal agencies cease and desist from using taxpayer dollars to fund these divisive, un-American prpaganda training sessions.”

While OMB will issue more detailed guidance in the future, Vought instructed federal agencies to “identify all contracts or other agency spending related to any training on ‘critical race theory,’ ‘white privilege,’ or any other training or propaganda effort that teaches or suggests either (1) that the United States is an inherently racist or evil country or (2) that any race or ethnicity is inherently racist or evil.” Federal agencies should find ways to divert federal funds away from these sessions.

“The divisive, false, and demeaning propaganda of the critical race theory movement is contrary to all we stand for as Americans and should have no place in the Federal government,” Vought concluded.

On Sunday, President Trump also brought a similar strategy to the Department of Education (DOE). He responded to someone warning that California schools have started teaching from the 1619 Project, which claims that America’s true founding came not with the Declaration of Independence in 1776 but with the arrival of the first black slaves in 1619.

(While the first black slaves arrived in the land that would become South Carolina as early as 1526, the 1619 Project is more concerned with branding America as inherently and fundamentally racist than with particular dates. The project’s founder, Nikole Hannah-Jones, has admitted that her enterprise is “not about history,” but rather about “memory” and the “national narrative.”)

As for schools teaching from the 1619 Project, the president tweeted that the “Department of Education is looking at this. If so, they will not be funded!”

Amid Riots, Washington and Lee University Offers a Class on ‘How to Overthrow the State’

Marxist critical theory and the “1619 riots”

The 1619 Project uses the very same Marxist critical theory that the DOD taught under Obama to demonize America and inspire an unguided and destructive revolution. Portland activist Lilith Sinclair expressed a similar idea when she said, “There’s still a lot of work to undo the harm of colonized thought that has been pushed onto Black and indigenous communities.” As examples of “colonized thought,” she mentioned Christianity and the “gender binary.” She said she organizes for “the abolition of … the United States as we know it.”

Marxist critical theory encourages people to deconstruct various aspects of society — such as capitalism, science the nuclear family, the Judeo-Christian tradition, even expectations of politeness (as the Smithsonian briefly taught) — as examples of white oppression. This inspires an aimless and destructive revolution.

When vandals toppled a statue of George Washington in Portland, they spray-painted “1619” on the statue. When Claremont’s Charles Kesler wrote in The New York Post “Call them the 1619 riots,” Hannah-Jones, responded (in a since-deleted tweet) that “it would be an honor” to claim responsibility for the destructive riots and the defamation of American Founding Fathers like George Washington.

In a November 9, 1995 op-ed, the 1619 Project founder condemned Christopher Columbus as “no different” from Adolf Hitler and demonized the “white race” as the true “savages” and “bloodsuckers.” She went on to describe “white America’s dream” as “colored America’s nightmare.” Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) expressed a similar sentiment when she called for the “dismantling” of America’s “economy and political system,” in order to root out supposed racist oppression.

Yet the “1619 riots” have arguably oppressed black people far more than the U.S. supposedly does. The riots have destroyed black livesblack livelihoods, and black monuments. At least 26 Americans have died in the riots, most of them black.

The president is correct. The federal government should not be inculcating Marxist critical theory propaganda into its training sessions. America’s schools should not embrace the 1619 Project’s ultimate goals for crafting the national narrative. It is long past time Americans stand up to this pernicious ideology.

Washington and Lee University in Lexington, Virginia, is offering a course entitled “How to Overthrow the State,” which includes encouraging students to engage in “producing a Manifesto,” and “writing a persuasive essay on rewriting history and confronting memory.”

A course being offered at Washington and Lee for the fall semester focuses on encouraging students to think of ways they can “overthrow a sitting government,” according to the course description on the university’s website.

“This course places each student at the head of a popular revolutionary movement aiming to overthrow a sitting government and forge a better society,” reads the course description.

“How will you attain power? How will you communicate with the masses? How do you plan on improving the lives of the people? How will you deal with the past?” the description adds.

The course, “How to Overthrow the State,” is worth 3 credits toward an accredited college degree.

Along with how to lead a revolution, students will also be studying Marxist revolutionary and assassin Che Guevara, and will be tasked with “producing a Manifesto” and “writing a persuasive essay on rewriting history.”

“From Franz Fanon to Che Guevara to Mohamed Gandhi and others, we explore examples of revolutionary thought and action from across the Global South,” continues the course description.

“Students engage these texts by participating in a variety of writing exercises, such as producing a Manifesto, drafting a white paper that critically analyzes a particular issue, and writing a persuasive essay on rewriting history and confronting memory,” the description adds.

Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk reacted to the course, telling Breitbart News, “this is disgraceful. We must stop brushing aside these egregious examples of campus craziness as isolated incidents.”

“The lessons of the past few months prove that these ideas don’t stay on campus, they spill out onto the streets,” he added. “This is a prime example of the intellectual rot that has infected the academy in America. The Trump administration should investigate and determine if this is the type of scholarship federal funds should be used to subsidize.”

In July, the faculty of Washington and Lee voted to remove the name of Robert E. Lee from the university’s name. But the name-removal suggestions didn’t stop with the Confederate general.

Later, Washington and Lee associate professor of law Brandon Hasbrouck argued that his peers have not taken their fight for social justice far enough, proclaiming that the school should remove George Washington’s name as well.

“It is worth exploring why the faculty has decided to make a collective statement on Lee and why the faculty has not included a demand to drop Washington in their petition,” said Hasbrouck. “It is no longer acceptable, profitable or convenient to be associated with Lee but it is for Washington.”

Washington and Lee University did not respond to Breitbart News’ request for clarification on whether the students will be trained to overthrow only the federal government or also the state of Virginia, as well as on the educational merit of the course, and how it will shape Washington and Lee students to be successful Americans after graduation.

(Boston Globe) Massachusetts school officials have reported dozens of families to state social workers for possible neglect charges because of issues related to their children’s participation in remote learning classes during the pandemic shutdown in the spring, according to interviews with parents, advocates, and reviews of documents.

In most cases, lawyers and family advocates said, the referrals were made solely because students failed to log into class repeatedly. Most of the parents reported were mothers, and several did not have any previous involvement with social services.

The trend was most common in high-poverty, predominantly Black and Latino school districts in Worcester, Springfield, Haverhill, and Lynn; advocates and lawyers reported few, if any, cases from wealthier communities.

Among those parents is Em Quiles, who struggled to work her full-time job while overseeing her young son’s schooling. During remote class time, her 7-year-old was largely supervised by his teenage brother, who had his own school work to do.

Quiles said she told staff at Heard Street Discovery Academy in Worcester in the spring that her work schedule made it tough to assist with virtual schooling and she struggled to navigate the school’s online platforms. “They didn’t offer any help,” she said.

Then in June, Quiles was stunned to receive a call from the state’s Department of Children and Families. The school had accused Quiles of neglect, she was told, because the 7-year-old missed class and homework assignments.“I couldn’t believe it,” she said.

Quiles lived one of the worst nightmares for a parent: A neglect charge, if substantiated, can lead to removing a child from their home. It came during a period of unprecedented educational disruption, in which parents, students, and schools all struggled with ad-hoc routines that challenged even the most engaged, but would result in some being singled out…

A Catholic church in New York City has replaced Jesus on their altar with graven images of their new “martyred saints” of “racial injustice” and has offered a prayer to their god for their commitment to their new religion of “racial equity.”

The Reverend, Kenneth Boller, SJ of St. Francis Xavier in NYC offered a prayer to commit the church to acknowledge their “white privilege,” fight against “racial injustice,” promote “racial equity,” and to “strive to eliminate racial prejudice from your thoughts and actions so that you can better promote the racial justice efforts of our church.”

On the altar, instead of Jesus, you can see pictures of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and Ahmaud Arbery — all people who have been hailed as martyrs for the cause of “racial justice” by Marxist revolutionaries. Churches, too, have embraced this religion.

Just to be clear, the Roman Catholic Church removed Jesus from their altar long ago and replaced Him with an idol of self-sufficiency, works righteousness, and sacerdotalism. To the Roman Catholic, the cross is insufficient to remove the guilty stains of sin from the sinner and their religion requires an endless cycle of confession and penance, continually moving one from a state of grace to a state of damnation. Salvation is never secure. So, it should come as no surprise that these churches take the same approach to the history of racism in this country. To them, the stain hasn’t been — and never can be — fully removed and thus requires endless acts of penance and restitution on behalf of their ancestors who may or may not have committed the sin of racism.

But this religion isn’t unique to the Roman Catholic Church. An increasing number of Evangelical churches, including Southern Baptist and Presbyterian churches, are embracing this new religion. “Racial justice” has become a recurring theme at Evangelical meetings and sadly, the majority of Evangelical leaders are pushing the exact same theology.

A leftist teacher has complained that ‘virtual classrooms’ as a result of coronavirus will allow parents to witness the ‘woke’ indoctrination their child is receiving and that this is a bad thing.

If there was one silver lining to coronavirus, it’s that many more parents are now becoming familiar with what their child is actually being taught.

That worries Matthew R. Kay , “educator” and author of Not Light, But Fire: How to Lead Meaningful Race Conversations in the Classroom.

According to Kay, having parents overhear what politically correct, self-hating drivel their children are being subjected to means, God forbid, that it might be challenged.

“So, this fall, virtual class discussions will have many potential spectators — parents, siblings, etc. — in the same room. We’ll never be quite sure who is overhearing the discourse. What does this do for our equity/inclusion work?” asks Kay.

 

“How much have students depended on the (somewhat) secure barriers of our physical classrooms to encourage vulnerability? How many of us have installed some version of “what happens here stays here” to help this?”

“While conversations about race are in my wheelhouse, and remain a concern in this no-walls environment — I am most intrigued by the damage that “helicopter/snowplow” parents can do in honest conversations about gender/sexuality,” he concludes.

The “damage” actually being done is kids being exposed to the kind of extremist, anti-American, white-hating Black Lives Matter racism espoused by Kay and his ilk.

“Teaching children to hate themselves for being Caucasian and to embrace harmful alternative sexualities becomes more challenging with someone who means the child well scowling in the background,” comments Dave Blount.

Maybe schooling never returning to “normal” thanks to COVID-19 will end up being a good thing.

MENLO PARK, CALIF -(Ammoland.com)- In the past, politicians accused Facebook of allowing foreign intervention in the Presidential elections. Democrats claimed that in 2016, Russia ran advertisements and shared fake news on Facebook to help Donald Trump get elected to the Oval Office.

To combat these accusations, Facebook introduced a “trusted fact-checkers” program to rid the platform of the spread of fake news. This new program leads to the question of the identity of these so-called “unbiased” fact-checkers.

Who is fact-checking the fact-checkers, and could foreign media outlets use their trusted status with Facebook to block information damning to the Biden campaign from seeing the light of day?

These fact-checkers include American news media sources such as the Associated Press and websites like factcheck.org. While most of the fact-checkers partnered with Facebook to prevent false information from being disseminated are US based, that doesn’t mean all of them are American companies or groups. These non-American media organizations are allowed to “fact check” posts about the election and the candidates running for office.

One of the non-American fact-checkers that is part of the Facebook program is the Agence France-Presse (AFP). The AFP is the world’s oldest news service, but it doesn’t mean that it doesn’t have an anti-gun agenda. The AFP tends to fact-check articles about guns and gun laws, and have quickly gained a reputation of marking post about Second Amendment as false even though they are decidely accurate. It could be that the foreign press agency doesn’t understand firearms, or that they have ulterior motives.

Recently writers such as Rachel Malone and Cam Edwards had articles marked as “fake news” by the AFP on the Facebook platform even though the reports were accurate and provided undeniable evidence.

The articles in question dealt with Vice Presidential Candidate Kamala Harris’s history of opposing the individual’s right to bear arms. The AFP marked the articles as “fake” any time anyone shared either article to their timeline. The Facebook block would then redirect readers to Agence France-Presse (AFP)'s own article, stating that Harris believes in the Second Amendment and an individual’s right to bear arms. Stealing legitimate viewer traffic from American news organizations.

The issue with this statement is that it is easily verifiable as false. With only a few minutes spent on Google, I was able to turn up an amicus brief that Harris filed with The US Supreme Court in support of DC’s handgun ban during the landmark District of Columbia v. Heller case.

At the time, Harris was the Attorney General of California. She and several other AGs from around the country wrote a brief arguing that the Second Amendment did not apply to the average citizen, but only to “the militia.” The AGs wrote that DC could ban handguns in the city if they saw fit. SCOTUS sided with Dick Heller in the case and confirmed that the Second Amendment did indeed apply to the full citizenship.

Harris never changed her views on the Second Amendment, as evident in the proposed Biden/Harris take-your-guns plan.

The AFP has been silent about the misinformation. AmmoLand News reached out to the AFP to point out their obvious mistake in marking the articles as false. The AFP did not respond to our request for corrections. The AFP still has it listed as “false” on their fact check site.

Foreign Interference In The Presidential Election

Does this rise to the level of foreign interference in the presidential election? The AFP is also using search engine optimization techniques to push their false story about Harris supporting the individual’s right to firearms to the top search result when searching for “Kamala Harris heller.” This discovery leads one to wonder if they are aware that their fact check site is pushing out false information.

I reached out to Facebook for a comment on the story on behalf of AmmoLand News. Instead of responding, Facebook banned me for life from the Social Media platform and deleted my public page. Rachel Malone’s article, as of this writing, is no longer marked false.

Fordham student says school wrongfully penalized him for social media posts

In June, a Chinese-American student at Fordham University, Austin Tong, posted a photo of retired St. Louis police officer David Dorn, who was killed after defending a friend’s store from looters. The photo was accompanied by a note citing the “nonchalant social reaction” to Dorn’s murder. In addition, Tong posted another photo of himself holding a Smith & Wesson rifle pointed toward the ground with the photo captioned “Don’t tread on me #198964,” in reference to the Tiananmen Square massacre on June 4, 1989. That photo included emojis of the American and Chinese flags.

Tong had also posted statements including, “freedom comes from a strong and armed populace” and “Violence against any citizen should not be tolerated, and The Second Amendment protects us from that.”

The photos triggered the university to put Tong on probation.

Now the Trump administration’s Department of Education has launched an investigation into Fordham University. One department official told Campus Reform, “Of course, this raises questions about the influence of the Chinese government on American colleges and universities.”

The Department of Education sent a letter to Fordham University, which stated in part:

On the night of June 4, 2020, allegedly due to “multiple student complaints related to [Mr. Tong’s] social media posts,” including the claim that his posts were “grotesque” and “racist,” Fordham dispatched two uniformed public safety officers to visit Mr. Tong at his parent’s home in Long Island, New York. … Mr. Tong allegedly told the officers he purchased the rifle so his family would have protection from the threat posed by ongoing riots and social disorder in New York City …

Fordham deemed Mr. Tong’s constitutionally protected speech “a security threat” (emphasis added). Fordham apparently was concerned because “in referring to Black Lives Matter protests, [Mr. Tong] stated that he was ‘aware of the chaotic situation that needs me to keep (sic) family safe.’”

On July 24, the Dean of Students informed Tong that he was on probation because his social media posts violated university policy. He would need permission from the dean of students to enter the campus; he would need to undergo “bias training,” and he would need to compose an apology.

The university informed Tong he would have to complete his courses online. The university added that the sanctions were non-appealable.

Those actions prompted Tong to sue the school, claiming his First Amendment rights had been violated.

In its letter, the Department of Education noted:

In its Demonstration Policy, Fordham promises prospective students, their parents, and other potential consumers in the market for education certificates ‘[e]ach member of the University has a right to freely express their positions and to work for their acceptance whether they assent to or dissent from existing situations in the University or society. Fordham further promises not to infringe on students’ right “to express [their] positions” and engage in “other legitimate activities.”

However, Fordham fails to warn prospective students, their parents, and other potential consumers in the market for education certificates of their liability to potential discipline for the lawful off-campus expression of thoughts and constitutionally protected conduct that happens to be disfavored by Fordham’s education bureaucrats.

IOWA STATE UNIVERSITY PROFESSOR AMENDS SYLLABUS AFTER INITIALLY BANNING ARGUMENTS AGAINST HOMOSEXUALITY & ABORTION

AMES, Iowa — An English professor at Iowa State University, who had initially included a “giant warning” in her syllabus that students were not permitted to speak or submit classwork presenting “arguments against gay marriage, abortion, Black Lives Matter, etc.,” has now amended her course description after university officials found her restrictions to be “inconsistent” with the school’s commitment to upholding students’ First Amendment rights.

According to The College Fix, Chloe Clark issued a “giant warning” — written in all capital letters — as a note under the course objective of her English 250 class.

“This class will include many discussions about [presenting arguments] and, thus, participation will be a large factor in the class,” the webpage for the class outlined. “Any instances of othering that you participate in intentionally (racism, sexism, ableism, homophobia, sorophobia, transphobia, classism, mocking of mental health issues, body shaming, etc) in class are grounds for dismissal from the classroom.”

It added, “The same goes for any papers/projects: You cannot choose any topic that takes at its base that one side doesn’t deserve the same basic human rights as you do. I take this seriously.”

After the matter made headlines, the university reportedly addressed Clark about the matter as they believe students should have the right to express all viewpoints, as the U.S. Constitution grants freedom of speech.

“The syllabus statement as written was inconsistent with the university’s standards and its commitment to the First Amendment rights of students,” Iowa State officials said in a statement issued to reporters on Monday.

They advised that the syllabus has now been “corrected to ensure it is consistent with university policy” and Clark “is being provided additional information regarding the First Amendment policies of the university.”

“Iowa State is firmly committed to protecting the First Amendment rights of its students, faculty, and staff,” the statement said. “With respect to student expression in the classroom, including the completion of assignments, the university does not take disciplinary action against students based on the content or viewpoints expressed in their speech.”

As previously reported, in 2013, a professor at Florida Atlantic University came under scrutiny after he had Intercultural Communications students write the name “Jesus” in all capital letters on a piece of paper and then stomp on it. The exercise was obtained from an instruction manual and was meant to demonstrate the “emotional meaning” behind various symbols as some students will decline to do so.

“This exercise is a bit sensitive, but really drives home the point that even though symbols are arbitrary, they take on very strong and emotional meanings,” the manual stated. “Have the students write the name JESUS in big letters on a piece of paper. Ask the students to stand up and put the paper on the floor in front of them with the name facing up. Ask the students to think about it for a moment.”

“After a brief period of silence, instruct them to step on the paper,” it continued. “Most will hesitate. Ask why they can’t step on the paper. Discuss the importance of symbols in culture.”

The professor, Deandre Poole, the vice-chairman of the Palm Beach Democratic Party, was put on leave for a time due to security reasons and later reinstated. It was vowed that the exercise would never be performed again.

 

BOYCOTT NOW!: GOODYEAR DIVERSITY TRAINING: “ZERO TOLERANCE” FOR “MAGA”, BUT BLACK LIVES MATTER & LGBT IS ENCOURAGED

Goodyear is facing calls for a boycott after a slide outlining the company’s “zero-tolerance policy” said Black Lives Matter and LGBT attire was acceptable but that MAGA attire and ‘All Lives Matter’ slogans were not.

The slide was presented during a “diversity training” session at the Topeka plant by an area manager and came straight from Goodyear’s corporate office in Akron, Ohio before being leaked on social media.

The slide is headlined “zero tolerance” and makes clear which opinions are allowed and which aren’t.

Under acceptable: Black Lives Matter (BLM), Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender Pride.

Listed as unacceptable: Blue Lives Matter, All Lives Matter, MAGA Attire, Political Affiliated Slogans or Material.

After the slide was revealed, Goodyear issued the following statement:

“Goodyear is committed to fostering an inclusive and respectful workplace where all of our associates can do their best in a spirit of teamwork. As part of this commitment, we do allow our associates to express their support on racial injustice and other equity issues but ask that they refrain from workplace expressions, verbal or otherwise, in support of political campaigning for any candidate or political party as well as other similar forms of advocacy that fall outside the scope of equity issues.”

Goodyear’s statement is patently ludicrous. To suggest that supporting Black Lives Matter isn’t a political statement is absurd.

BLM is a revolutionary Marxist extremist movement responsible for innumerable violent attacks and numerous murders of police officers.

It’s an organization that has repeatedly expressed its agenda to destroy capitalism.

Claiming that support for BLM isn’t political is as stupid as claiming support for the Weather Underground in the 1970’s wasn’t political.

“If someone wants to wear a BLM shirt in here, then cool. I’m not going to get offended about it,” the employee who leaked the slide told Cleveland 19News.

“But at the same time, if someone’s not going to be able to wear something that is politically based, even in the farthest stretch of the imagination, that’s discriminatory. If we’re talking about equality, then it needs to be equality. If not, it’s discrimination.”

Numerous people took to Twitter to call for a boycott of the company, although Goodyear is just as likely to get a boost in revenue from the free ‘woke’ advertising the controversy will generate.

Several universities in the US have set up systems so students can report on each other if they see anyone breaking the Covid ‘rules’.

Campus Reform notes that universities in MiamiTexas, and New Orleans have all encouraged students to play campus stasi when it comes to the Covid guidelines.

Yale has also got in on the act with a hotline, along with The University of North Georgia, whose plea for students to police each other prompted the Southeastern Legal Foundation to pen a letter warning that the system may violate students’ privacy and freedom of speech.

 

“Colleges have a duty to protect student health and safety, especially during uncertain times like these. However, even in unprecedented times, students’ First Amendment rights remain unchanged. That means colleges and universities cannot engage in viewpoint or content-based discrimination, cannot enact vague and overbroad policies, and cannot chill student expression,” the letter urges.

It continues, “With a Concern Form at students’ fingertips, students wishing to prevent a controversial speaker from visiting campus or to stop a student organization from garnering interest in their cause can simply report members of that organization as symptomatic. Without stricter reporting guidelines and limits, it appears that such events could be shut down entirely with the press of a button. This may sound unlikely, but then again, who would have predicted 2020 to turn out as it has?”

The SLF also warned that Fourth Amendment rights may be under threat as students could be forced to get tested for COVID-19, without probable cause.

“Under the Fourth Amendment, individuals cannot be subject to unreasonable searches and seizures. The Supreme Court has even considered that right in the context of cheek swabs. The Court has held that a criminal arrested and charged with a serious crime can be subjected to a DNA cheek swab, so long as the charges are supported by probable cause, meaning there must be sufficient likelihood that the crime occurred. However, a swab is unconstitutional if there is no probable cause, the charge is not criminal, or if the DNA is used to gather medical information about the criminal,” SLF asserted.

“Will UNG, upon receiving a report of a symptomatic student, subject that student to an invasive COVID-19 swab? Surely the university understands that this action would violate the Fourth Amendment,” the SLF further explains.

 

In a recent opinion piece published in the New York Times, Karen Levy, an assistant professor at Cornell University and Lauren Kilgour, a doctoral candidate at Cornell warned that universities should avoid turning students into spies, warning that while some “may feel a sense of civic duty… others may be loath to report on their friends.”

“People report on one another (truthfully or falsely) for a number of personal reasons, including competition, revenge, leverage and everyday aggravations,” the piece also notes.

“There’s every reason to assume that these motivations will bubble up in the college context, too. Students have their own loyalties, broken hearts, rocky roommate relationships and fraternity codes of silence,” Levy and Kilgour note.

 

WHY AMERICA IS IN REAL DANGER

Americans have long been proud of the fact that, unlike European countries, America never went the route of totalitarianism as embodied in communism, fascism and Nazism.

This achievement may be coming to an end.

In order to understand why, it is first necessary to understand why European countries embraced — or fell victim to — totalitarian doctrines.

Until World War I, the primary beliefs that gave life meaning, both on a national and personal level, were Judeo-Christian religions and patriotism (love of one’s nation). What gave people moral guidance were Judeo-Christian values.

For most Europeans of the younger generation, World War I, with its seemingly senseless slaughter of millions, ended belief in Christianity and, in many cases, ended the people’s faith in their nations. God was deemed absent; religion was deemed unnecessary; and national identity was widely seen as a cause of the war.

That left a void that was almost immediately filled by communism, fascism and Nazism.

In Russia, World War I led directly to the Russian Revolution. Even before the war ended, in 1917, the czar was overthrown, and later that year, the Bolsheviks (the Russian communists) took over. As awful as the czar was, there was far more freedom under him than there was in the Soviet Union until the fall of communism 72 years later, not to mention the murder of more people — 20 to 40 million — under the Soviet regime.

In Italy, the rise of fascism followed World War I. And in Germany, the Nazis came to power just 15 years after the end of the Great War. Nazism conquered most of the European continent during WWII, and after Germany’s defeat in 1945, the Soviets imposed communism over all of Eastern Europe.

Though there were communists, communist fellow travelers, Nazi sympathizers, racists and anti-Semites in the United States, neither communism nor fascism nor Nazism took root here. The primary reason was that, unlike most Europeans, Americans did not lose their faith in Judeo-Christian religions and values or in America after World War I. America remained so religious that, in 1954, the words “under God” were inserted into the Pledge of Allegiance recited daily in American schools.

However, by the 1950s, faith in America, Christianity and what we call bourgeois middle-class values was largely limited to older Americans. The post-World War II baby-boomer generation was already being indoctrinated in secularism and anti-Americanism. As early as 1962, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that school prayer was unconstitutional.

By the late 1960s, vast numbers of baby boomers were attending demonstrations that were as much against America — routinely characterized as an imperialist and colonialist aggressor country with an evil military — as they were against the war in Vietnam. It was not uncommon to see America spelled “Amerikkka” or “Amerika” at protests and in graffiti.

When I was in graduate school at Columbia University in the early 1970s, I was taught that men and women are not inherently different from one another and that the Cold War was between two superpowers (equally at fault), not between freedom and tyranny.

Another generation has passed, and the post-Christian, left-wing baby boomers have come close to achieving complete success. The mainstream print and electronic media, universities, high schools and elementary schools, the arts and now sports have all been conquered by the left. Except for sports, from the beginning of the 20th century, they were almost all liberal, but now they are left.

We now have the answer to the question: What will happen to America if Americans lose faith in God and country as the Europeans did after World War I? What will happen to America when Christianity dies as it did in Europe after World War I?

The way things now look, America may have its bout with some totalitarian doctrine — almost surely some form of leftism. Liberty has never been a left-wing value. From Lenin on, wherever the left has come to power, it has suppressed liberty, beginning with free speech. Already, despite a Republican president and a Republican Senate, America has less free speech than at any time in its history. Exactly one year ago, I testified before a Senate subcommittee and wrote an op-ed piece for The Wall Street Journal about YouTube (owned by Google) placing more than 100 Prager University, or PragerU, videos on its restricted list.

And things have gotten much worse. Last week, PragerU was locked out of its Twitter account for retweeting a press conference of eight physicians in Washington, D.C., which had already received 17 million views, and Facebook has just informed us that if we even cite studies that show possible benefits of hydroxychloroquine (with zinc) in the early stages of a patient with COVID-19, we will lose our Facebook account.

And then there is the “cancel culture” — which is merely a euphemism for leftist suppression of dissent. People are booted from internet platforms, fired from their jobs or have their reputations smeared and their businesses ruined for differing with the left — on anything.

We are also undergoing a nonviolent (as of now) version of Mao Zedong’s Cultural Revolution, with individuals forced to issue humiliating public recantations of their beliefs and attend reeducation sessions (we don’t yet have reeducation camps, but they should not be ruled out as a possibility if the left is in control).

Another communist norm taking root in America is the rewriting of the American past. We are living a famous Soviet dissident joke: “In the Soviet Union, the future is known; it is the past that is always changing.”

On almost all social issues and many economic ones, the American left is more radical than the left in Europe. Europeans across the political spectrum are more wary of ideological fanaticism because of the vast scale of death and suffering that resulted from communism, fascism and Nazism.

One might say that Europe was inoculated against fanaticism. Europeans are more preoccupied with working less, traveling more and being taken care of than with ideological movements. But America, which has not suffered under fanatical, irrational, liberty-depriving ideologies, has not been inoculated.

Without such a vaccination, what replaced Christianity in Europe may well do the same in America.

SWEDEN EXPOSES PRO-LOCKDOWN COVID-19 MISINFORMATION

The misleading narrative the corporate media tells about COVID-19—the need for increased testing and the continued references to “asymptomatic infections”—is getting ridiculous. The political motivations are clear, as left-leaning journalists beat the drum for continued lockdowns and feature only doctors who parrot their narrative.

At some point, Americans are going to wake up and figure out the narrative that has been foisted on them is misleading at best and deliberate manipulation at worst. Let’s start with Sweden. The country has been a constant source of media speculation because the Swedish government chose to pursue herd immunity. While they provided their citizens with recommendations, they never locked down and never closed primary schools.

Lies, Damn Lies, and COVID-19 Statistics

Despite the criticism Sweden took for its approach, results have not been worse than many of its neighbors. In fact, in some cases, they are better. As of Sunday, Sweden’s death rate per 100,000 people was 56.4. This rate is lower than that in the U.K. (69.9), Spain (60.8), and Italy (58.16). Italy had some of the most severe lockdowns outside of China.

Sweden’s case fatality rate was also the lowest in Europe. This metric means that for people with confirmed cases, the percent who died was the lowest. According to Worldometer, new daily cases appear to have peaked on June 29. They have continued to decline to a steady-state of between 200 and 300 per day on a rolling basis. Daily deaths have also been declining, with one reported on August 8 and none since.

In March, Stockholm stopped testing symptomatic patients unless they were hospitalized or in a high-risk group. Dagens Nyheter:

On Wednesday, Region Stockholm’s way of handling new suspected cases of the new corona virus changed. Sampling for new suspected cases will be concentrated on those who are already in hospital. Others, who are not in a risk group, will not be tested.

These are instead encouraged to stay at home and not to hang out with anyone other than the person or people you live with, says Erik Berglund.

– If you are 20 years old and strong, you have to wait out the disease.

“You who have coronavirus-like symptoms will not be tested. This applies regardless of whether you have been in the areas that have previously been exposed to infection or had close contact with someone you know is ill with covid-19 “, the region writes in a press release.

Sweden: Coronavirus and the Concept of ‘Trade-Offs’

You would think the experience of Sweden, given its low case fatality rate and approach to testing in its largest city, would interest or inform public policy in other countries. Thankfully, it has intrigued some researchers who believe they have found the answer. Several studies have shown that unexposed individuals have responsive T-cell immunity.

This immunity is different than the antibodies that current tests are looking for. These are the body’s short-term immunity that develops with a new infection.

In July, a study published in Nature sought to determine whether people exposed to SARS were immune to COVID-19. The T cells of these subjects were reactive to COVID-19. The researchers were surprised to find that subjects with no history of exposure to SARS or COVID-19 showed T-cell reactivity as well. These subjects reacted to protein fragments similar to those in coronaviruses that cause the common cold. (COVID-19 is part of a family of viruses that cause the common cold. Characterizing it as “novel” was always an overreach.)

This study confirmed the findings of additional research in April and June that found subjects not exposed to COVID-19 demonstrated active T-cell immunity to the virus. These studies show that somewhere between 40% and 60% of subjects demonstrate this T-cell reaction. This crossover immunity likely explains quite a few things that the media and their talking-head Health Experts™ aren’t telling you.

6 Questions an Honest, Intelligent Reporter Would Ask Dr. Fauci About COVID-19

First, some portion of the population is already immune. That means the number of new infections required to reach herd immunity is much lower than initially thought. Using the study estimates, somewhere between 10% and 30% would need to be infected with COVID-19 to reach the 60-70% rate epidemiologists originally projected for herd immunity.

Given that assumption, the Southeast is going through a typical disease curve that matches what was seen in Sweden and other countries. Georgia, Florida, and Texas are all moving through that curve. If the CDC estimate of confirmed cases needs to be multiplied by ten to get the actual infection rate, then Georgia and Florida are hovering at around 20% and 24%, respectively. Texas, which reimposed some restrictions, is lagging a bit at approximately 17%.

Next, this explains why the virus impacted the elderly and not children and those who were younger. T-cell immunity degrades with advanced age:

T cells play an important role in the body’s immune response to viral infections and tumors, but T cell immunity wanes as we age, thus increasing our susceptibility to these diseases.

This type of immunity could also mean that vaccinations for COVID-19 may look more like those for the flu. Prioritizing the elderly and at-risk would be necessary. Herd immunity does not entirely stop a virus from spreading, but it prevents it from spreading quickly. It is likely that cases will become part of the flu-like illnesses that the CDC tracks yearly.

Despite this research, you still see commentators saying things like this:

The constant demand for new testing is just to drive up case numbers in order to keep you scared and compliant. We know this from the CDC’s website. Whether a person has T-cell immunity or successfully recovers from an infection, they may have virus particles in their nasal passages for up to 90 days. Getting tested in the absence of symptoms is of very little value:

Available data indicate that persons with mild to moderate COVID-19 remain infectious no longer than 10 days after symptom onset. Persons with more severe to critical illness or severe immunocompromise likely remain infectious no longer than 20 days after symptom onset.  Recovered persons can continue to shed detectable SARS-CoV-2 RNA in upper respiratory specimens for up to 3 months after illness onset, albeit at concentrations considerably lower than during illness, in ranges where replication-competent virus has not been reliably recovered and infectiousness is unlikely.

There is no data in the recommendations that indicate a person without symptoms has a viral concentration high enough to pass the virus to others. Yet the idea of the asymptomatic superspreader persists.

However, an asymptomatic person can test positive. This false positive can occur because the PCR test is so sensitive. It can pick up pieces of RNA in a virus particle that have been neutralized by an individual’s T-cell immunity, just as it can in a patient who has symptoms and developed antibodies to neutralize the virus.

The Good News the Media and Our Health Experts™ Are Hiding About COVID-19

The CDC guidance also states that retesting an asymptomatic individual in the 90 days following symptomatic infection is not likely to yield useful results:

If such a person remains asymptomatic during this 90-day period, then any re-testing is unlikely to yield useful information, even if the person had close contact with an infected person.

Yet employers, schools, and other institutions are still requiring retesting to return after symptomatic disease or exposure without symptoms.

This information should make us question why people need to be tested in the absence of symptoms at all. Especially since COVID-19 has a pretty reliable sign that is notable in the six identified courses of the illness: the loss of smell. If you have flu-like symptoms and can’t smell anything, get a test. If you are exposed, quarantine as recommended. The CDC is currently saying onset of symptoms may occur 2-14 days after exposure, so two full weeks is likely what a school or employer should require.

However, testing just to test may be leading to false positives. The CDC’s advice says the tests being used can pick up virus particles incapable of replicating or causing an infection. At this point, retests are not counted separately from initial tests in any dashboard I can find. The persistent RNA particles detectable in a recovered patient are also increasing positive tests.

It is incredible that the CDC’s page, updated in mid-July, makes no mention of the studies related to T-cell immunity. However, this information should have every American questioning lockdown restrictions of any kind, masking mandates for people without symptoms, and unnecessary tests.
