President-elect Donald Trump has announced he has selected CEO of Liberty Energy Chris Wright to lead the Department of Energy in his new administration.

On Saturday, Trump released a statement announcing Wright’s position in his new cabinet.

“I am thrilled to announce that Chris Wright will be joining my Administration as both United States Secretary of Energy, and Member of the newly formed Council of National Energy,” Trump said. “Wright has been a leading technologist and entrepreneur in Energy.”

“He has worked in Nuclear, Solar, Geothermal, and Oil and Gas,” Trump’s statement read. “Most significantly, Chris was one of the pioneers who helped launch the American Shale Revolution that fueled American Energy Independence, and transformed the Global Energy Markets and Geopolitics.”

According to Liberty Energy’s website, Wright earned a degree in mechanical engineering from MIT. He also pursued graduate studies in electrical engineering at both the University of California, Berkeley, and MIT.

“[Wright] is a self-described tech nerd turned entrepreneur and a dedicated humanitarian on a mission to better human lives by expanding access to abundant, affordable, and reliable energy,” the company’s website reads.

The announcement comes as Trump’s campaign focused on energy independence and increasing oil and gas production.

During his campaign, Trump promised to expand fracking and end the pause on liquefied natural gas exports, highlighting a significant departure from the policies of his predecessor.

The president-elect has pledged to use his second White House term to withdraw from the Paris climate accord once again, roll back stringent emissions standards for vehicles and power plants, and boost U.S. oil and gas production, including through expanded fracking.

THESE Harris & Walz picks reveal how global elites are LYING to you

If you want to know who Kamala Harris and Tim Walz really are, look at who they’ve picked to work in their campaigns and administrations. Glenn and Stu review Team Harris-Walz’ pick for Climate Engagement Director, Camila Thorndike, who has called oil and gas WORKERS dangerous to the environment. So why did she join the Harris campaign, which is now saying it WON’T ban fracking? If that wasn’t disturbing enough, Glenn and Stu introduce you to a man who’s helping shape Minnesota’s schools under Tim Walz. The propaganda machine insists that Critical Race Theory is harmless and barely used in our schools. But you have to hear what this appointee said about “deconstructing” the U.S. for yourselves. When the government lies to you: Glenn brings on Justin Haskins, the co-author of his new book, "Propaganda Wars," to explain how to cut through the propaganda and find the truth.

Kamala Picks Terror Supporter as “Liaison” to American Jews

Could the Kamala administration be any worse for the Jews than the Obama administration?

[Order Daniel Greenfield’s new book, Domestic Enemies: HERE.]

“Pressure is building in Congress for Biden to do more to halt Israel’s assault on Gaza,” he was asked in a 2021 interview as fighting raged to stop Hamas assaults on Israel.

“Hopefully he can use it as leverage to get the Israelis to stop,” Ilan Goldenberg, Kamala’s future Middle East advisor and new liaison to the Jewish community, answered.

Could the Kamala administration be any worse for the Jews than the Obama administration?

An early answer arrived with the announcement that the Harris-Walz campaign had picked Ilan Goldenberg as its ‘liaison’ to the Jewish community. Freedom Center Investigators had previously profiled Goldenberg while he was serving as Kamala’s Middle East advisor.

A member of the Kerry team under Obama, whose biased attacks on Israel and support for Iran and Islamic terrorists in Israel helped lead to the current regional crisis, Goldenberg had spent the years leading up to Oct 7 doing everything possible to make the Hamas attack happen.

And time afterward serving as Kamala's adviser and imposing sanctions on Israelis.

Ilan Goldenberg had previously advocated for a deal in which “Hamas would retain some of its military capabilities” and argued that “half the root causes are Israeli actions, in terms of — especially just focusing on Gaza, on the blockade. And the other half is Hamas’ choice to use violence and arm itself in response.” He had urged that more money should go into Hamas territory and argued that Israel should in allow workers from Gaza. “You used to have 25,000, 100,000 Gazans working inside Israel. That needs to happen again.” That led to Oct 7.

Kamala’s new Jewish "liaison" opposed every single pro-Israel move by both Republicans and Democrats, whether it was moving the embassy to Jerusalem, recognizing the Golan Heights or even cutting off aid to the "pay-to-slay" program of the Palestinian Authority. Instead, he urged anti-Israel moves including a unilateral recognition of a ‘Palestinian’ state on Israel’s territory.

Ilan Goldenberg has been a vocal proponent of the Iran Deal, and attended an event by NIAC: the Iran Lobby. He had argued that “In the aftermath of a successful nuclear deal, U.S. relations with Iran should shift from that of an adversary to that of a competitor.”

Ilan Goldenberg had been part of the team that was responsible for and had defended the Obama administration’s opposition to Israel at the UN.

A recent Tablet article by Michael Doran of the Center for Peace and Security in the Middle East had described Goldenberg as playing a “very enthusiastic role” in the Biden administration’s program to sanction Jews in Israel. So far those sanctions have targeted an Israeli goat farm, an Israeli baker who shot a terrorist, and an Israeli mother of 8, who worked with survivors of sexual assault and led protests against Biden's policies that rewarded Hamas.

Rather than being associated with the Jewish community, Goldenberg was tied to anti-Israel groups including J Street, Peace Now and the Israel Policy Forum, which hailed the pick. Goldenberg had a scant history with Jewish groups, but he had attended an event for NIAC, the Iran Lobby, and had been a vigorous champion of the deal that empowered Iran’s terrorism.

But none of that may even be the most disturbing part of the move by VP Kamala Harris.

Previous Jewish liaisons were usually involved with Jewish communal life and could speak to a variety of issues. Ilan Goldenberg is simply an anti-Israel activist whose only issues are empowering Iran and Hamas. Kamala just reduced the Jewish community to support for her anti-Israel program without even any acknowledgement that there are American Jews.

A Kamala aide stated that Goldenberg would be “the campaign’s main liaison with Jewish community leaders and stakeholders and advise the campaign on issues related to the U.S.-Israel relationship, the war in Gaza and the broader Middle East.”

There’s no mention of anything American Jews might be interested in inside America.

American Jews are not the Israeli government or an arm of it. And yet for Kamala, that is all they are. Kamala’s aide couldn’t think of American Jews except in terms of foreign policy.

Kamala’s mouthpieces in the Jewish community claimed that because her husband is of Jewish ancestry, that she understands Jews. If anything, American Jews are apparently alien to her.

Instead of selecting someone from the Jewish community or any of her political aides, Kamala chose someone whose sole function will be to justify her anti-Israel policies to the Jewish community, and who will filter any efforts by the Jewish community to push back against them.

What can American Jews expect from Ilan Goldenberg and by extent from Kamala Harris?

During the 2021 battles with Hamas, Goldenberg explained why Biden was only pretending to support Israel. “What Biden has decided to do for the moment is privately tell the Israelis to stop or to stop soon while publicly continuing to support them. This helps him build political support… but when there does come a moment, hopefully soon… where Biden says, ‘OK, enough is enough, you must stop or our public position is going to start to shift." Our position at the UN Security Council where we’ve been defending you, is going to start to shift. You need to make this end.’”

“But if he had just started by publicly criticizing, I think that the belief, at least in the Biden administration, is that it might have been a moment for Prime Minister Netanyahu to. stand up to the United States and say we don’t take our orders from the United States. We have to do what’s best for our security and kind of use the disagreement with the U.S. as a political rallying cry for himself at home. And so I think this is one of the reasons why the Biden administration chose to, at least at the beginning, publicly support Israel.”

Lies, deceit and manipulation with the aim of empowering Hamas and destroying Israel.

Every single ‘rabbi’ featured on the ‘Jewish Americans for Kamala Harris’ virtually rally organized by Haile Sofer, Kamala’s former adviser, and her Jewish Democratic Council of America, who was an anti-Israel activist. Sofer and the JDCA, who had formerly hailed Sen. Schumer’s demand that Israel stop fighting Hamas, celebrated Goldenberg’s appointment.

The Kamala campaign and its political allies are leading a fundamental break with Israel, even before the election, while disguising it with happy talk for the benefit of some of their donors.

The appointment of one of the most persistently hostile foreign policy figures as a ‘liaison’ to the Jewish community sends a powerful message that this administration will be as anti-Israel as him and that Kamala will reconfigure her relationship with American Jews around her anti-Israel policies. Not even Obama went that far. What does it say that Kamala is already doing it now?

NEW YORK POST: Gov. Tim Walz accused of ‘massive overreach’ as VP pick’s COVID record slammed

Gov. Tim Walz accused of ‘massive overreach’ as VP Pick's COVID record slammed by critics: 'Complete and utter failure’

Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz will have to defend draconian decisions and glaring errors he made as a state leader in the COVID pandemic after being selected by Kamala Harris on Tuesday as the 2024 Democratic vice presidential candidate.

Walz, 60, was one of several Democratic governors accused of “massive overreach” in wielding executive power to shutter schools, businesses and churches during the once-in-a-generation pandemic.

The Minnesota governor in 2020 even set up a hotline through which law enforcement received more than 10,000 emails from residents snitching on neighbors ignoring lockdown measures during that first year of the pandemic, Alpha News reported.

In selecting the Minnesota governor, the Harris campaign on Tuesday touted his dedication to countering Republicans who want to “roll back Americans’ rights” — saying he had “stood up for fundamental freedoms” in the past.

But that’s exactly what lawmakers and civil liberties groups accused him of not doing during the COVID years.

“From overseeing the largest COVID-19 fraud scheme in the country, to asking neighbors to tattle one another for violating lockdown mandates, to forcing hospitalized COVID patients back into their nursing home facilities — Tim Walz proved during the pandemic that he does not have the competency to lead in times of crisis,” House Majority Whip Tom Emmer (R-Minn.) told The Post.

“Like the rest of his tenure as governor, Walz’s pandemic response was a complete and utter failure,” Emmer ripped his former House colleague.

The backlash came mostly from Republican lawmakers and conservative groups — but even Democrats in the state legislature were voting against Walz keeping his emergency powers based on his performance close to one year into the crisis.

“In 2020, Governor Walz unilaterally closed places of worship, schools, and businesses for several months, infringing on the rights and freedoms of Minnesotans under the guise of emergency powers,” a spokesperson for the Upper Midwest Law Center told The Post in a statement. “His heavy-handed approach during COVID-19 demonstrated a troubling disregard for constitutional freedoms and the rule of law.”

Follow The Post’s coverage on Kamala Harris’ running mate Tim Walz:

“The federal district court of Minnesota overruled Governor Walz’s shutdown of the churches in the Northland Baptist case and the resulting settlement required him to refrain from any further discrimination against churches in his COVID-related orders,” the spokesperson said of their suit against him, which followed an earlier complaint against the governor’s emergency powers that was later thrown out by an appeals court.

“Despite the ruling in our case,” the rep added, “Governor Walz continues his same pattern of overreach, disregard of constitutional protections, and lack of respect toward his fellow Minnesotans.”

With classrooms closed, average reading and math scores dropped for fourth and eighth grade students between 2019 and 2022, according to U.S. Education Department data.

There were also hundreds of millions of dollars wasted on various COVID relief efforts — some of which fraudsters abused.

The US Department of Labor found that Minnesota overpaid roughly $434 million in unemployment insurance to state applicants from July 2020 to June 2023.

A shocking $250 million scheme that also took place on Walz’s watch allowed a Minneapolis nonprofit to pocket federal funds paid to the Minnesota Department of Education, ostensibly for the feeding of the needy children.

Operators of the nonprofit, Feeding Our Future, instead used the taxpayer money for their luxury lifestyle — including buying lavish cars and real estate holdings as far away as Turkey and Kenya.

When he tried to shirk responsibility, Walz was swiftly rebuked by a district judge, who determined that the state Education Department “voluntarily” funded the fraudsters without taking heed of “serious deficiencies” in its oversight.

Like disgraced New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, Walz also caught flak for contributing to higher rates of nursing home deaths due to their policies, the Star Tribune reported.

Reps for the governor’s office did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
