Based on our latest advisory, here's what we can expect:

1. Heavy rainfall and historic flooding are expected across parts of our district through Friday. Up to 20 inches of rain is expected.

2. There is a danger of life-threatening storm surge along coastal areas.

3. Strong winds may impact Beaufort, Berkeley, Charleston, Dorchester and Colleton County as the storm progresses.

 

Key preparedness steps:

- Stay informed through local news and weather updates.

- Follow evacuation orders if issued for your area.

- Prepare an emergency kit with essentials (Gas, food, water, toiletries).

- Secure outdoor items that could become projectiles (trampolines, lawn chairs, umbrellas).

 

Some good news: there is still sand available throughout the area all day today in the event you need to prepare for flooding at your home or business. You can find sandbag stations here.
