3 JEWISH STUDENTS FORCED OUT OF USC STUDENT GOVERNMENT FOR PRO-ISRAEL VIEWS

Students for Justice in Palestine purges Jews from USC student government.

Truman Fritz and Rose Ritch won the most votes in the race for president and vice president of the USC Undergraduate Student Government. Isabel Washington scored the most votes in the Senate race. Six months later, all three USC students were harassed into resigning.

The story of how that happened exposes the ugliness of campus bullying and anti-Semitism.

Of the three USC student government leaders and one student who was next in the line of succession who were forced out, three were Jewish, one of them gay, and one was African-American. The cancel culture campaigns against them were led by Islamic students.

Three of the four students were targeted for supporting Israel.

Isabel Washington, a Jewish African-American student senator, was the first to be forced out after false accusations of “anti-black racism,” of holding “white supremacist ideologies,” and, of “Islamophobia and anti-Palestinian statements.”

Shaden Awad, an RA at USC, and apparently a supporter of American Muslims for Palestine, attacked Washington for her role at Hillel, a Jewish campus organization where Washington serves as the Jews of Color Co-Chair, writing “Even if all the orgs on campus that r Jewish r also Zionist That’s not an excuse For you to join That’s still blood on ur hands.”

"I didn't join them bc they're zionist. I joined them because I'm Jewish," Washington replied.

A petition calling for her expulsion, with over 1,200 signatures, declares that "a woman with years of internalized racism, classism, and Zionism behind her should not be given the luxury of being a USC student."

The same petition also went after Nathaniel Manor, who would have been next in line to succeed Washington,, because he “openly identifies as a Zionist” and had communicated, "in texts that Palestinians are dying because they refuse to 'let Israel exist', blaming Palestinian people for their own displacement and genocide."

Some of the petition signatories had been involved with Students for Justice in Palestine.

After outrage at the antisemitism scandal at USC went viral, the anonymous creator updated the petition to argue that, “being anti-Zionist and being anti-Semitic are not the same.”

"USC SJP calls for the immediate resignation of Isabel Washington as a USG senator and the prevention of Nathaniel Manor from succeeding Senator Washington and demands that the University hold Mr. Manor accountable for his display of Islamophobia and anti-Arab/Palestinian rhetoric," the USC chapter of Students for Justice in Palestine, an antisemitic hate group with a long history of harassing Jewish students, posted.

Manor had been targeted by Muhammad Yusuf Tarr, the former president of USC SJP and a Muslim Student Association leader, an organization with its own history of antisemitism, who had celebrated a call by Marwan Barghouti to free convicted terrorists.

Barghouti was convicted of responsibility for 5 murders, including that of a Greek monk. But at USC being someone who, “openly identifies as a Zionist” is a serious offense, but not supporting the murder of Jews and anyone else living in Israel who doesn’t support terrorists.

When David Horowitz came to USC to speak about Islamic antisemitism, Muhammad had protested against his talk. And that’s still a topic that can’t be discussed at USC.

While Jewish student leaders have been purged, SJP is free to operate on campus.

That's despite the fact that Students for Justice in Palestine is a racist hate group whose various chapters have a long history of harassing and even physically assaulting Jewish students.

“I was physically assaulted in an elevator in 2013.  I heard my friend get called a ‘Zionist kike’ by SJP. Today I was called a ‘kike’ on campus by SJP. My two female friends and I were shoved to the ground and physically assaulted at our own Israel event in 2014,” a University of California student related.

Rawan Eid, USC SJP's former president, had expressed support for Hezbollah and other terrorists responsible for killing Jews.

But at USC, being a member of SJP allows you to demand the heads of Jewish students.

In addition to targeting Isabel Washington, SJP had also demanded the "the immediate resignation of Truman Fritz and Rose Ritch from their positions as President and Vice President of the Undergraduate Student Government."

Rose had been one of the reasons why Isabel was targeted.

“Seeing people want to impeach Rose bc she’s a Zionist, but they don’t know I’d be the new VP, and I’m also a Zionist,” Isabel had posted.

The antisemitism crisis at USC finally went viral when Rose stepped down from her role as vice president with a resignation letter that described being "harassed and pressured for weeks".

"I have been told that my support for Israel has made me complicit in racism, and that, by association, I am racist. Students launched an aggressive social media campaign to 'impeach [my] Zionist a**’,”' she wrote.

Another letter to President Carol Folt of USC by the Brandeis Center, a Jewish civil rights organization, documented part of the sustained pattern of antisemitic harassment of Ritch.

Abeer Tijani, a Muslim USC student, had led the impeachment campaign, claiming that Ritch, "has been outspoken on issues that alienate Palestinian Trojans". While Tijani later went on to deny that she meant that being pro-Israel was impeachable, her words speak for themselves.

More attacks on the Jewish VP came from Emad Askar, the Director of Health and Wellness of USC's Interfraternity Council and a member of the Students for Justice in Palestine hate group.

Emad falsely claimed that "Zionism is not Judaism," defending his attacks on Ritch by insisting that the "occupation of Palestine represents a larger struggle of oppression for numerous groups in the United States and throughout the world.”

When Isabel Washington was forced to resign, Emad whined that the student government hadn’t condemned her as a “zionist.”

Even during the election, Ritch was attacked for her role in Trojans for Israel.

“There never was an explicit like, ‘dirty Jew,’ like anyone ever invoking even the word ‘Jew.’ It was all under that kind of cloak of anti-Zionism,” she said.

President Carol Folt of USC responded to Ritch’s resignation letter by calling it “heartbreaking” and touted the USC Shoah Foundation's Stronger Than Hate program as the answer. But the Stronger Than Hate program praises the Black@USC instagram account which played a key role in inciting attacks on Jewish students and its only mention of the antisemitism crisis, among its rants about George Floyd and ICE, put the blame on the Jewish students.

"Several members of the USC USG government resigned amidst accusations and revelations of microaggressions, racist memes and expressions of antisemitism," its mission paper notes.

It fails to mention that the students were Jewish and the victims of antisemitic harassment.

The word "Jewish" only appears 3 times in a 19 page program from the Shoah Foundation which had been created to record the testimonies of Holocaust survivors, but now touts Black Lives Matter while dismissing antisemitic harassment at USC. Israel isn’t mentioned at all.

Stronger Than Hate is not the solution to what happened at USC: it’s a symptom of the problem.

Folt’s letter failed to note the role that campus hate groups like Students for Justice in Palestine have played and continue to play in the harassment of Jewish students. She did not address the fact that multiple Jewish student leaders, not just one, had been forced out by the harassment. And she did not condemn any specific acts, including the petition, or any of the harassers.

That’s a far cry from USC’s response when a Trojans booster had tweeted that BLM was a terrorist group. That woman was quickly banned from buying tickets or attending USC games.

The double standard is blatantly grotesque.

Criticising BLM will get you banned from USC, but harassing Jewish students will not only result in your demands being met, but will earn you a spot of honor at the USC Shoah Foundation.

“This is antisemitism, and cannot be tolerated at a University that proclaims to 'nurture an environment of mutual respect and tolerance,'” Ritch wrote in her letter of resignation.

USC is in violation of its own codes and those of the Department of Education.

President Folt stated that, "what happened to Rose Ritch is unacceptable, and we must all take up her challenge to do better.”

That should begin with confronting campus hate groups like Students for Justice in Palestine.

Two of the three Jewish students targeted by SJP and its campus allies had impeccable progressive credentials. One was black and the other was gay. That did not save them. They were not harassed because they were insufficiently politically correct on any issue. Except one.

Rose Ritch and Isabel Washington’s work with Hillel made them targets. As did Ritch’s role at Trojans for Israel. It was their Jewish affiliations that led to the harassment. Their tormentors had made it their goal to ban any pro-Israel Jewish students from holding student government offices. This is not a new tactic. It was innovated by Hatem Bazian: SJP’s founding father.

“Hatem Bazian was more responsible than any other student on campus for trying to make life miserable for Jewish students,” Rabbi Doug Kahn, who led Jewish outreach in San Francisco, had charged.

Bazian’s tactics included blocking a Jewish student from sitting on the Student Judicial Council at SFSU because he “supported the state of Israel and was therefore, by definition, a racist."

More recently, SJP had targeted student government leaders at UCLA for taking trips to Israel. And a student was asked if being Jewish would be a “conflict of interest” when sitting on the student judicial board. At UC Santa Cruz, a Jewish member of the student government was warned to abstain from a BDS vote because he had been “elected with a Jewish agenda.”

This is swiftly becoming the new normal. And there are no sanctions for this strategic harassment of Jewish students on campuses where wearing the wrong Halloween costume or posting something dumb as a 15-year-old can end a college career before it even gets started.

College presidents issue letters claiming to be troubled or concerned. And then do nothing.

As long as Students for Justice in Palestine is free to target and harass Jewish students for supporting the existence of a Jewish State, USC and other campuses are safe spaces for hate.

 

THE DEMOCRAT PARTY IS GETTING RID OF THE JEWS

The Democrat primaries are sweeping around the nation and leaving behind fewer Jewish Democrats in public office and more antisemitic radicals sitting in the House of Representatives.

Rep. Ilhan Omar and Rep. Rashida Tlaib both survived challenges from better qualified African-Americans because they enjoyed the backing of the Democrat establishment.

Despite her antisemitic rhetoric, a habit that Omar continued during the primary, she got the endorsement of Speaker Pelosi. The top elected Democrat official also endorsed Tlaib.

After Omar’s first round of antisemitic remarks, Senator Kamala Harris defended the racist politician against her Jewish critics by warning “that the spotlight being put on Congresswoman Omar may put her at risk.”

Omar’s antisemitism wasn’t threatening Jews, but Jewish protests were threatening the bigot.

Then Harris insisted that, “there is a difference between criticism of policy... and anti-Semitism."

The California politician didn’t bother to explain how Omar’s antisemitic tropes were mere policy.

Senator Harris has since been picked as Biden’s running mate. If Biden wins, a politician who defended Omar’s antisemitism will almost certainly become the next president of this country.

While Harris has been depicted as a moderate, her chief of staff, Karine Jean-Pierre, was the national spokeswoman and senior adviser for MoveOn. The radical group has a long history of trafficking in antisemitism and attacking the Jewish State. It even opposed Senator Schumer because, in its own words, “our country doesn’t need another Joe Lieberman.”

Jean-Pierre had accused Israel of "war crimes" and denounced AIPAC as "Islamophobic" for opposing the murder of Jews, urging Democrats to avoid the pro-Israel convention.

The myth that the radicals of the squad were insurgent “giant-slayers” who were taking on the Democrat establishment was branding. The reality is that the radicals are backed by a radical establishment which is cheerfully shedding older Dems with more traditional constituencies.

That includes Jews.

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio Cortez, the squad leader who supported Omar’s pro-BDS resolution, has a speaking slot at the Democrat convention. A letter on her site, signed by the congresswoman, accuses Israel of becoming an apartheid state and threatens to cut off aid.

Rep. Cortez's email in support of the move touted the backing of BDS groups and extremist organizations linked to terrorist groups like the PFLP and Hamas. These groups include American Muslims for Palestine, whose chairman, Hatem Bazian was the architect of the harassment of Jews on college campuses as the founder of Students for Justice in Palestine.

When Israel resisted a Hamas invasion from Gaza, Rep. Cortez accused Israel of a "massacre".

Jewish Democrats can’t keep on pretending that these views are marginal when they occupy a speaking role at their convention between John Kerry and Bill Clinton.

All this matters a whole lot more than the policy theater over the Democrat platform.

What’s at stake for Jewish Democrats is not just policy: it’s representation.

The number of Protestants and Jews has been dropping in Congress, an inevitable consequence of secularization and diversity. The DNC's parade of speeches will open with Senator Bernie Sanders, an atheist with a Brooklyn accent who isn’t part of a Jewish community. And he’s the prototype for the new type of “Jewish” Democrat.

Jewish House Democrats who represented Jewish constituencies are losing their seats.

The 117th Congress will have only two Jewish House Democrats from New York after Rep. Elliot Engel was defeated and Rep. Nita Lowey was replaced by minority radicals backed by Sanders and Cortez. New Jersey’s lone Jewish congressman survived an assault by a Cortez/Sanders backed radical.

How is it possible that the largest Jewish population in the country has so few Jewish House members? Democrats have strategically gerrymandered New York City to deny representation to Jewish areas by rolling them into minority areas where only the radicals can win.

Jewish Democrats used to hold public office because they were elected by Jewish voters. That’s no longer true in New York. It’s still true in Florida and a few other states. But not for long.

The new “Jewish” Democrat is a radical activist who has no ties to the Jewish community. He or she may not even be Jewish. Rep. Cortez has claimed that she has Jewish roots because “to be Puerto Rican is to be the descendant of African Moors & slaves, Taino Indians, Spanish colonizers, Jewish refugees, and likely others.” Then who needs actual Jews anyway?

The radical hijackers of the Democrats have been playing this game for a while.

“I think I am the closest thing to a Jew that has ever sat in this office," Obama had insisted.

As Senator Kamala Harris hits the campaign trail, look for her to tout her Jewish husband, and to endlessly retell the same story about her mother-in-law. Politics is built on lame ethnic pandering, but these tired routines are obscuring something much more deeply disturbing.

Obama and Harris both signed off on Iran’s nuclear program and the flow of money to terrorists. And they’ve covered that disturbing fact over with happy talk about all their Jewish friends.

Obama’s policies led to the murder of Jews. He loved Jews so much he couldn’t stop killing them.

Senator Cory Booker thrilled Jewish Democrats with his ability to recite a few Hebrew phrases, and then worked hard to protect black nationalist terrorists who murdered Jews in his state.

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio Cortez claims to be Jewish because she’s Puerto Rican while coordinating with the allies of the terrorists who are killing Jews.

Meanwhile, Jewish voters are increasingly not being represented at a communal level.

Some of the largest traditional Jewish communities in the country are being represented by radicals like Rep. Yvette Clarke, Rep. Karen Bass, or Rep. Nydia Velasquez who are overtly hostile to Israel, and uninterested in actually representing Jews in their gerrymandered districts.

The relationship between Jewish communities and elected officials is being broken. And that has implications well beyond Israel, BDS, or Iran. It means that Jews are no longer a Democrat constituency. That’s a reality that is quietly sinking in for many Jewish Democrat professionals, especially after the purge of Rep. Elliot Engel by a radical backed not only by AOC, but Obama.

According to Jamaal Bowman, Obama decided to endorse him after reading his response to a liberal Jewish clergyman rejecting his call to fight BDS and bashing Israel's military.

Most Jewish Democrat voters are steadily refusing to pay attention to this phenomenon.

And yet there’s only so many rants about Trump, so many furious New York Times and Washington Post op-eds to be scrolled through at the breakfast table that can keep the ugly reality of what a radicalized Democrat Party means for Jewish communities at bay.

It’s not just that the Democrats are turning against Israel, they’re turning against Jews.

Not Jews in the abstract sense. Democrat politicians can, like Senator Cory Booker, keep a Hebrew copy of the Bible in their office, they can, like Rep. Alexandria Ocasio Cortez, claim Jewish roots, or, like Barack Obama, claim to be Jewish in some vague sense of values.

None of this has anything to do with actual Jews, their interests, communities, and lives, but it does a wonderful job of flattering the insecure neurosis that makes some Jews lean leftward.

Obama had won by reducing America to a set of leftist values. He did the same thing to Jews. But when you reduce people to your own abstractions and slogans, you’re appropriating them. Marxists worshiped the working class as an abstraction and terrorized the actual working class. Because they claimed to stand for “the people”, they never had to pay attention to real people.

The appropriation of the Jews transforms a people into a set of leftist slogans. And then Democrats from Barack Obama to Rep. Alexandria Ocasio Cortez are free to support policies that lead to the murder of actual Jews in the name of their leftist abstractions of Jewish values.

The American political system doesn’t recognize constituencies as abstractions, but as people. The Democrats are building a new one-party state in which elections are irrelevant and primaries exist to broker arrangements between intersectional non-profits funded by billionaires. Actual Jewish communities are an annoying inconvenience in this Marxist political system.

Democrats with Jewish last names will still exist, they just won’t represent anyone except the roster of non-profits like Bend the Arc, J Street, Jewish Voice for Peace, Jews for Racial and Economic Justice or If Not Now, that are not only actively working to get Jews killed, but that don’t represent anyone except George Soros or Buffett’s son. And attacking Soros for his radical extremism is the only thing that Democrats will even recognize as antisemitism anymore.

The pattern ought to be a familiar one from how leftist regimes dealt with Jewish populations.

There’s not much of a future for Jewish communities in this model. The cities and suburbs where Jews live are under siege in the name of social justice. Jewish communities are simultaneously losing their representation within the Democrats in the name of social justice.

Jewish Democrats who imagine that Israel is the problem are about to learn they’re the problem.

The problem, as in the USSR, is that many Jewish communities are bourgeois enclaves filled with middle class professionals, two-parent families who raise their children to succeed, go to a good college, get an even better job, get married, and raise their own children in a suburb with safe streets, challenging schools, and the rest of what used to be the American Dream.

Like most suburbanites, they aren’t actually radical. They just stupidly enable the radicals. And the radicals, once they take power, are not going to tolerate them. They’re going to get rid of them. It’s already happening. And, unlike the 70s, there won’t be any suburbs to run away to.

A decade ago there were six Jewish House Democrats out of New York. Now there are two.

What happened in the short span of a decade is that the radical future of the Democrats arrived. And there’s no room in that radical new world that the Democrats are building for the Jews.

TWITTER ALLOWS IRAN’S SUPREME LEADER TO KEEP POSTING HIS ANNIHILATIONIST THREATS

While Twitter allowed the rapper Wiley to post his antisemitic rants, and only banned him from the platform after a widespread boycott of Twitter was underway, it has been consistently solicitous of another, much more dangerous antisemite, the Supreme Leader of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

A Twitter official on Wednesday informed Israeli lawmakers that tweets in which Iranian officials, in particular Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, pledge to eradicate the Jewish state are not in violation of the social media giant’s rules against hate speech.

Ylwa Pettersson, Twitter’s head policy for the Nordic countries and Israel said that such posts are considered mere “foreign policy saber-rattling.”

Is it mere “foreign policy saber rattling” to repeatedly call for the complete destruction of the Jewish state and the murder, or expulsion, of its Jewish inhabitants? “Foreign policy sabre-rattling” occurs when, for example, Turkish President Erdogan threatens to push the Kurds in northern Syria all the way south to the Iraqi border, or when President Putin warns the Ukraine that “Russia will fight to keep the Crimea,” or when General El-Sisi warns that Egyptian troops will enter Libya if the GNA (Government of National Accord) forces, with Turkish help, push east beyond Sirte. No genocidal threats of any kind: Erdogan does not announce his troops will kill all the Kurds. Putin does not threaten to “destroy” the Ukraine and all of its inhabitants; El-Sisi does not threaten to annihilate all the Libyans supporting the GNA. The Supreme Leader’s tweets about Israel are very different. He is not merely sabre-rattling, but expressing, on many occasions, his genocidal desire to destroy not just the Jewish state, but the men, women, and children in Israel.

Khamenei has compared Israel to a “cancerous tumor” and to the coronavirus, and he has called for the nation to be “uprooted and destroyed.” The ayatollah, who wields complete control over the regime, made similar comments on July 22 in an in-person speech.

“Some argue that the Zionist regime is a reality that the region must come to terms with,” Khamenei said in one tweet. “Today the #Covid_19 is a reality; should it be accepted or fought?! The long-lasting virus of Zionism will be uprooted thanks to the determination and faith of the youth. #Covid1948.” You do not merely shrink “a cancerous tumor,” but must eliminate it altogether; the same is true for the coronavirus, which must be eradicated by means of a vaccine. Khamenei means for us to understand that the size of the “Zionist state” does not matter; he implies that even were Israel to be squeezed back within the 1949 armistice lines, that would still leave the “cancer” of a Jewish state within the Muslim body politic. And that is why they need not merely to be reduced in size, but completely eliminated.

Twitter’s rules on terrorism and violent extremism state: “There is no place on Twitter for … individuals who affiliate with and promote [terrorist group’s] illicit activities. … Our assessments in this context are informed by national and international terrorism designations.”

Ayatollah Khamenei, and Iran, support with weapons and financing the terror group Hezbollah. The U.S., Great Britain, Germany, the Netherlands, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and many other countries, as well as the E.U. as a whole, now have recognized both wings – political and military – of Hezbollah as part of one terror group, and all Hezbollah activities are banned in those countries. Meanwhile, Iran is the sole backer of Hezbollah, and has supplied it with 140,000 missiles and rockets, which Hezbollah has hidden all over southern Lebanon and southern Beirut, for use against Israel in some future war. Iran also has been supplying Hezbollah with large amounts of money; until Iran’s current financial troubles began, Ayatollah Khamenei was giving the terror group $800 million a year. Doesn’t that clearly show that Ayatollah Khamenei, according to Twitter’s own rules, is an “individual who affiliates with and promotes terrorist groups [Hezbollah] illicit activities”? What more evidence does one need than the 140,000 missiles Iran has supplied to Hezbollah, and the $800 million a year subsidy that Khamenei has also been sending to Hezbollah, a recognized terror group? Apparently that’s not enough for Twitter. What would it take to have Twitter ban the Supreme Leader?

“We have an approach toward leaders that says that direct interactions with fellow public figures, comments on political issues of the day, or foreign policy saber-rattling on military-economic issues are generally not in violation of our rules,” Pettersson was quoted by the Times of Israel as telling the Knesset’s Committee for Immigration, Absorption, and Diaspora Affairs, via video-conference.

“Calling for genocide on Twitter is okay, but commenting on the political situation in certain countries is not okay?” asked Blue and White MK Michal Cotler-Wunsh, to which Pettersson reportedly replied, “If a world leader violates our rules but there is a clear interest in keeping that up on the service we may place it behind a notice that provides some more context about the violation and allows people to click through if they wish to see that type of content.”

“Wow. Twitter just admitted that tweets calling genocide against Jews by Iranian leaders DON’T violate its policy!”, Cotler-Wunsh tweeted after the session ended. “This is a double standard. This is antisemitism.”

A spokesperson for Twitter later said that tweets the likes of which are posted by Khamenei “are not in violation of our policies,” pointing to the company’s policy according to which “foreign policy saber-rattling on economic or military issues are generally not in violation of the Twitter Rules.”

The genocidal threats of Khamenei don’t violate Twitter’s policy because, according to Twitter, they constitute mere “foreign policy saber-ratting on military or economic issues.” Would Tweeter feel the same if President Trump posted on Tweeter threats to wipe Iran from the face of the earth, and kill or expel every last Iranian? Would the resultant outcry lead it to conclude that this went beyond mere “foreign policy saber-rattling on military matters”? I’m sure it would. I’m convinced that Twitter would take down such posts very quickly, announcing that “these are genocidal threats, beyond all rational discussion and serving no useful purpose for public debate. Twitter will not tolerate such a use of its platform, and such tweets, even if by the President, have been and will continue to be promptly taken down.”

But when it comes to Israel, a foreign leader’s repeated threat to destroy the entire country of Israel and eradicate its Jewish citizens – though it certainly “serves no useful purpose for public debate” — is just fine for Tweeter. It meets the company’s standard of merely being “foreign policy sabre rattling on military issues.” So that’s all it is! From Ayatollah Khomeini, and Mahmoud Ahmedinajad, to Ayatollah Khamenei, issuing their threats against Israel, it’s all been mere “saber-rattling.” The nuclear project, that Iran has continued to pursue despite its many setbacks and the sanctions it has incurred, and the medium-range ballistic missiles it has built, that could potentially be armed with nuclear warheads – well, Twitter thinks there is nothing to worry about, because when the Supreme Leader tweets that Israel should be destroyed, the Ayatollah doesn’t mean it. He’s engaging, Twitter knows (from the profound study of Twelver-Shi’ism undertaken by its executives), not in a real threat, but only in mere “foreign-policy saber-rattling.” That should calm the Israelis down considerably.

Ever wonder exactly how schools breed America-haters? Here’s how.

A Leftist protester in Portland recently announced that the goal of the riots that have recently swept the nation is the “abolition of the United States as we know it,” to the applause of her audience (which included not just miseducated children, but a middle-aged priest who should have known better). Rioters around the country, who are overwhelmingly young, middle-class Americans, have made abundantly clear their incandescent hatred for the United States. In the midst of all this, the California Department of Education has given us a vivid illustration of how we got here. It has developed an “Ethnic Studies” curriculum that would make Joseph Goebbels proud.

The Jewish News Syndicate (JNS) reported Thursday that “more than a dozen California school boards have adopted resolutions in support of the state’s proposed ethnic-studies model curriculum, despite it having come under fire for containing anti-Semitic and anti-Israel content, and not addressing issues of anti-Semitism or including Jewish Americans.”

It’s all happening under the cover of darkness, deception, and coronavirus distraction, thanks to a group called “Save CA Ethnic Studies.” A letter to the California Department of Education (CDE) protesting the curriculum states: “School board members asked to vote on the resolution are not shown the original draft curriculum, and not informed about the enormous outpouring of criticism it engendered or that a CDE process is well underway for the curriculum’s redesign.”

The letter adds that school board members are “led to believe that in voting for the resolution they are showing support for AB-2016 and affirming the importance of ethnic studies classes in general, rather than endorsing the highly controversial draft curriculum that was condemned by dozens of state leaders and tens of thousands of Californians.”

The curriculum could have been devised in the editorial offices of Der Stürmer. According to JNS, “the proposed curriculum section on ‘Arab American Studies Course Outline’ contains a number of passages concerning the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, such as ‘Direct Action Front for Palestine and Black Lives Matter,’ ‘Call to Boycott, Divest and Sanction Israel’ and ‘Comparative Border Studies: Palestine and Mexico.’”

As if that weren’t enough, the curriculum “also includes studying national figures such as Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.), Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.), the late Columbia University professor Edward Said, Women’s March leader Linda Sarsour, the late radio personality Casey Kasem, actress Alia Shawkat, and the late White House correspondent Helen Thomas—all of whom are associated with anti-Semitic and anti-Israel rhetoric, and in the case of the congresswomen, a push to enact legislation punishing Israel.”

Even in California, this far-Left propaganda has aroused controversy. Nevertheless, “despite the ongoing debate over the ethnic-studies curriculum, at least 13 school boards in the state have recently passed resolutions affirming their support for the ethnic-studies model curriculum draft: Hayward (April 22), Castro Valley (April 23), Albany (April 28), San Francisco (April 28), West Contra Costa (May 6), Alhambra (May 19), Oakland (May 27), South San Francisco (May 28), Jefferson Union (June 2), Jefferson Elementary (June 17), San Mateo Foster City (June 18), El Monte Union (June 24) and Santa Rosa City Schools (July 8).”

Nor is this proposed curriculum remotely singular. The commitment to “multiculturalism” that has now taken over K-12 education in America has been a godsend for Muslims in particular who are anxious to use schools and textbooks not just to preach hatred of Jews and Israel, but to proselytize for Islam.  Worried about appearing insufficiently “tolerant” and “inclusive,” too many public schools and individual teachers have succumbed to an organized campaign by U.S.-based Islamic organizations and their primary benefactor, Saudi Arabia, to present a view of Islam that whitewashes its violent history and intolerant doctrines.

Combine this with the deeply-rooted Leftist bias of curriculum material, and it is no surprise that American children graduate from all too many high schools, colleges and universities hating not just Israel, but their own country and heritage. It creates a population that is rife for insurrection. What we’re seeing now is the outcome of years, indeed decades, of this hard-Left, anti-American indoctrination. When the Left took over our educational system, what other outcome did anyone expect?

Julius Streicher was the creator and editor of Der Sturmer, the notorious anti-Semitic newspaper of the Nazi era. He was a hateful bigot of mediocre intelligence, loved by his leader and despised by his fellow Nazis, not for his moral repugnance, but because they generally despised each other. Streicher’s hatred of the Jews was profound and malignant, his ideology rotten to the core, full of lies and contempt. Arrogant and cruel, Streicher showed no remorse for the hatred he spread or the devastation it wrought; rather, he reveled in it and pushed on, until all of Germany was infested with the foul stench of his hatred.

Born February 12, 1885 in the Bavarian town of Fleinhausen, Streicher’s childhood was poor, but happy. The youngest of nine children in a devout Catholic family, his mediocre intelligence ensured he matured into adulthood with a mind that was small and coarse. Though he knew no Jews growing up, his Catholicism provided fertile soil for his later hatred, courtesy of the erroneous foundation of Christian anti-Semitism: that the Jews killed their Christ.

When he left school, he became a teacher; and not a very good one by all accounts. He married and had two sons and looked set to live the life of a drudge, until an angry Bosnian took a potshot at an Austrian nobleman and sparked the First World War. Streicher fought valiantly for his country, gaining both distinction and an Iron Cross, First Class, a significant German military award. During his service, he earned the rank of lieutenant and several citations for bad behavior.

After the war, Streicher returned to a Germany that was seething over its loss of the war and reeling under the weight of the reparations imposed by the victors, to say nothing of the collective trauma of losing almost an entire generation of young men. Unemployment was high, the economy in ruins, and political extremism, rampant. In 1919, Streicher became involved in the German Nationalist Protection and Defense Federation, which was formed in response to the failed German Communist revolution of 1918. The Federation was deeply anti-Semitic and blamed Jews for the loss of the war and the spread of Bolshevism.

In 1921, Streicher attended a meeting of the National Socialist German Workers (NAZI) Party; he was there to hear the Party’s leader, Adolph Hitler, speak. Hitler’s hate-filled rhetoric penetrated Streicher on a spiritual level – like Saul on the road to Damascus – compelling him to join the Nazi Party and become a devoted follower of Hitler. In 1923, his devotion was made manifest with the founding of Der Sturmer (lit: The Stormer or Attacker). The chief aim of Streicher’s weekly rag was to disseminate anti-Semitic propaganda, which demonized Jews and championed the Nazi cause: namely, the building of an Aryan super state, free of Jews and other undesirables.

In its infancy, Der Sturmer was not well received. Most sensible minded Germans, including top Nazi officials, viewed it as nothing more than the libelous ravings of a nutjob. Hitler loved it. The courts agreed with everyone else, heavily fining Streicher for his lies.

Each issue of Der Sturmer relied on contemporary iterations of age-old anti-Semitic tropes, The Blood Libel and world domination among them, mixed in with titillating, semi-pornographic drivel, and the frontpage by-line: The Jews are our misfortune.

Like all good conspiracy theorists, Streicher included a grain of truth in his articles, usually in the form of an actual person, to whom he ascribed all manner of ridiculous misdeeds; tales so ludicrous, only a reader with the mental acuity of a gnat would believe.

Unfortunately, hate begets stupidity; so, when Hitler seized power and hate-mongering became a national pastime, Der Sturmer readership rose from 10’s to 100,000’s per week, making Streicher a millionaire. The more patently ridiculous the stories, the more the Streicher’s readers gobbled them up. Hitler was in his element and read it cover to cover each week and insisted everyone else read it too. To aid this, special display cases (called Sturmerkasten) were erected in towns, so no one missed out.

So delighted was Hitler with his vulgar lackey, he made Streicher the Gauleiter (regional leader) of the Bavarian region of Franconia. Streicher used his new-found power to wicked ends, organizing a boycott of Jewish shops in 1933, and the destruction of The Great Synagogue of Nuremberg in 1938, precipitating Kristallnacht (Night of Broken Glass), during which 91 Jewish lives were lost, 8000 Jewish properties destroyed, and 30,000 Jewish men arrested and sent to concentration camps.

Streicher also took it upon himself to indoctrinate German youth with anti-Semitic ideology. To this end, he published three children’s books written by Ernst Hiemer and illustrated by Philipp Rupprecht (pen name Fips), Der Sturmer’s cartoonist since 1925. The most famous of these books was Der Giftpilz (“The Poisonous Mushroom”) an odious manual, warning children of the dangers of Jews.

In 1940, Streicher was dismissed from his post as Gauleiter when it came to light he’d helped himself to Jewish property during Kristallnacht. Not that Nazis were averse to theft, rather, all stolen property belonged in the coffers of the Reich. Streicher’s release from his Gauleiter duties meant he had more time to dedicate to his pathological Jew-baiting, which continued unhindered until the bitter end.

That end came in 1945, when Germany lost the war (again) and Streicher was captured by the Americans and put on trial in his hometown of Nuremberg. Having taken no part in the waging of war or the decision-making process responsible for the Holocaust, Streicher was tried as a major war criminal based solely on the things that he said (a cautionary tale for any who suppose the privilege of free speech is bulwark against consequence).

What he said was considered so odious, so incendiary, that he was convicted of crimes against humanity and sentenced to hang. His hanging went badly. Having declared his allegiance to his dead Reich, the floor beneath him gave way, but his neck did not break, so he jiggled and moaned until the life was slowly choked out of him, receiving one last kindness from humanity when his executioner pulled on his legs.

“US House Subcommittee Passes $250 Million in Funding for Palestinian Authority Arabs,” JNS News Service, July 10, 2020:

A U.S. House subcommittee included $250 million in funding for Israeli-Palestinian Authority dialogue and Palestinian Authority business development in a $66 billion spending bill passed earlier this week, despite the Trump administration defunding both areas.

The House Subcommittee on State, Foreign Operations and Related Programs passed the bill on Monday. It includes $50 million annually over five years for dialogue programs and investment in the Palestinian Authority’s private sector: $110 million for the former and $140 million for the latter.

Additionally, bill seeks “to restore humanitarian and development assistance to Palestinian Authoirty Arabs to continue the viability of a two-state solution by providing resources to organizations working in the West Bank and Gaza,” said House Appropriations Committee chairwoman Nita Lowey (D-N.Y.) in a statement introducing the bill.

It also includes $225 million for Palestinian Authority relief and development, despite the Trump administration slashing funding in that category to virtually zero.

Israel-related lobbying groups AIPAC and J Street have applauded the move….

During the rally, an activist named Jamie from the pro-North Korea Nodutdol organization told the protestors that Palestine will be liberated, that Korea will be unified, and that the U.S. and its puppet governments will be “no more.” Another speaker, Amin Hosain of Decolonize This Place, an anti-gentrification movement, said that the police are the enemy and an impediment to the liberation of Palestine, and he said that when NYPD cop cars burn, a “revolutionary country” is being awakened.

Dequi Kioni Sadiki, wife of former Black Panther Seko Odinga, said that the European Jews who force Palestinians into refugee camps, concentration camps, and killing fields are related to the Europeans who forced Africans into slavery and prison death camps. She added that Palestine must be free like the stolen land of North America, which she referred to as “Turtle Island.” A representative of the Puerto Rican New York Borica Resistance movement said that the police, Israel, and the U.S. government must be abolished. Nerdeen Kiswani from Within Our Lifetime said that Palestinians do not only want to return to Gaza and the West Bank, but that they want all of Palestine. Wrapped in a red flag, a man named Rob from the Party for Socialism and Liberation led the crowd in chant in Arabic: “Death to Israel! Tensions brewed at “Day of Rage” rallies and vehicle caravans nationwide on July 1, protesting Israel’s plans to apply sovereignty to parts of Judea and Samaria, more commonly known as the West Bank. The name refers to times when Palestinians riot and hurl rocks against Israeli soldiers and civilians, most recently near the border with the Gaza Strip.

Approximately 300 people associated with BDS Boston—a coalition of far-left anti-Israel organizations—chanted Hamas slogans on Wednesday night in front of the offices of the Anti-Defamation League and the Jewish Community Relations Council in the Massachusetts capital.

The BDS organizers said that they were protesting police brutality in the aftermath of the killing of African-American George Floyd, 46, on May 25 in the custody of Minneapolis police.

“The protesters hijacked legitimate outrage over the death of George Floyd to justify an ugly display of hostility towards Israel and Jewish organizations on the streets of Boston,” said Dexter Van Zile, an analyst at the Committee for Accuracy in Middle East Reporting and Analysis, or CAMERA, which is based in Boston. “This wasn’t about changing American police policies, but about coarsening and brutalizing the discourse around Israel and Jews through the exploitation of black suffering.”

CAMERA staff filmed the rally. A speaker for BDS Boston is on video leading the large crowd in the Hamas chant “From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free,” which is a call for the replacement of Israel with a majority-Arab Muslim country.

At other times, the crowd can be heard loudly chanting “Intifada, Intifada,” the name of violent Palestinian uprisings. Hamas is a U.S.-designated terrorist group.

“Kaffiyeh-wearing college students and mostly middle-class white activists with Palestinian flags were shouting for the violent elimination of the world’s only Jewish state,” said Van Zile. “Think about that: They’re chanting eliminationist rhetoric outside the offices of mainstream American Jewish organizations—a fact that shows that this wasn’t simply about Israel, but about Jews as Jews.”…

 

BLACK LIVES MATTER: NOT JUST COMMUNIST, BUT VICIOUSLY ANTI-SEMITIC TOO

By the time violent rioters tore through the heavily Jewish neighborhood of Fairfax, Los Angeles on the night of Saturday May 30, 2020, it was too late. The vicious antisemitic, anti-Israel language of the M4BL and Black Lives Matter’s demands that included accusations against Israel of “apartheid” and “genocide” had been brushed aside. Black Lives Matter (BLM) delegations had traveled to the Middle East to endorse Palestinian terrorists in Gaza, Judea, and Samaria and pose for photo ops with the Palestinian flag. Statements from delegation leaders spoke of “occupation, ethnic cleansing and brutality” that Israel supposedly has perpetrated against the region’s Arab-Muslim population.

Even when city after city across America went up in flames after the May 25, 2020 killing of African-American George Floyd in Minneapolis by a white police officer, with BLM ‘protesters’ assaulting private businesses, their owners, and law enforcement officers alike, smashing store fronts, setting fires, and destroying property, some among America’s Jewish leadership could hardly get their statements of support out fast enough. Jewish American organizations, the Reform Movement, rabbinical leadership figures, progressive and Zionist activists, even the Hasidic Community of Crown Heights, Brooklyn in New York City all practically fell over one another in their haste to endorse the BLM movement.

The Jewish Federation of Santa Barbara was no different. On June 13, 2020, the group – including, among others, the Jewish Federation of Greater Santa Barbara, ADL Santa Barbara Tri-Counties, Santa Barbara Congregation of B’nai B’rith and Santa Barbara Hillel – issued a statement to condemn “racism” and “institutional biases.” The Focus Project, whose online website is remarkably empty, disseminated a set of talking points on June 16, 2020 that appear to date from September 2019. An increasingly popular trope is included among them that distorts the ancient Jewish term ‘Tikkun Olam’ in a way to make it seem like some kind of modern-day social justice program. In fact, ‘Tikkun Olam’ is a Kabbalist term that made its way into Judaism by way of the Aleinu prayer that is specific to Rosh Hashanah. ‘Tikkun Olam’ is not from the Torah (md’oraita) in origin at all – and therefore not one of the 613 obligatory commandments (mitzvot) nor anywhere to be found in the normative rabbinical literature concerning the praxises of Jewish Law (Halacha). Rather, as a kind of companion bit of moral guidance, ‘Tikkun Olam’ urges Jews to repair one’s individual relationship to the Almighty by way of observance of the actual ‘mitzvot’, or obligatory commandments that lead to perfecting personal behavior.

Now, just as ‘perfecting of one’s personal behavior before the Almighty’ has nothing to do with the social justice narrative per se, neither does it have anything to do with supporting a communist/Marxist, pro-Maoist organization, one of whose BLM co-founders’ declaration of the group’s Marxist ideology was featured on Twitter just days ago. Yes, the BLM movement was founded by three African-American women with longtime Marxist backgrounds: Alicia Garza, Opal I. Tometi, and Patrisse M. Cullors. Its original Platform (issued in August 2016, but scrubbed up a bit in its more recent iteration) called for collective ownership of all resources, the breaking up of banks, redistribution of wealth by way of confiscatory taxes on ‘high earners,’ free health care, and free education. Truly, Karl Marx would have blushed.

But back to the question of how BLM rioters came to be rampaging through Jewish neighborhoods of Los Angeles, CA, reportedly shouting “F___Jews”, and spray painting “F___Israel” and “Free Palestine” on the walls of the Congregation Beth Israel and at least four other synagogues. How did Jews come to be collectivized into the enemy “white privilege proletariat” class by these BLM Marxists?

That original BLM Platform also explicitly supports the BDS (Boycott, Divest, and Sanction) movement. Another indicator comes from Cullors (who organized the 30 May pogrom in LA): she reportedly told a New York Times reporter, “Let’s go into the heart of what is symbolically white in Los Angeles, which is Beverly Hills…These people need to hear our pain and our grief. We wanted to bring this to communities who often aren’t dealing with police violence.” No matter the color of their skin, therefore, Jews are going to be labeled “white”—as a pejorative from which it is always going to be impossible to escape. It goes back farther than that, however. By 2015, BLM representatives traveled to the Middle East to make common cause with Palestinians in Gaza, Judea and Samaria. Fast forward to late May 2020, shortly after the death of George Floyd, and the Democratic Socialists of America’s BDS national working group blatantly tried to link that killing to Israel, by claiming that U.S. police forces learned riot control techniques from Israeli police. Then, on June 1, Al-Awda, the Palestinian Right of Return Coalition, published a hideous cartoon at its website showing an Israeli soldier with his knee on the neck of a keffiyeh’ed Palestinian, arm-in-arm with an American police officer with his knee on the neck of a black man. The article it accompanied was entitled “Al-Awda PRRC statement of solidarity for Black lives and Black struggle.”

The BLM’s Marxist agenda is on full display across America today. Exploitation of the insurrectionist riots in which it plays a leading role to demonize Jews and Israel is, too.

A CALL FOR NAZI-STYLE “KRISTALLNACHT” AGAINST CHRISTIANS

That was a June 22 tweet from Shaun King, and the “far-left activist,” wasn’t done.

“Yes I think the statues of the white European they claim is Jesus should also come down. They are a form of white supremacy. Always have been,” King tweeted. “In the Bible, when the family of Jesus wanted to hide, and blend in, guess where they went? EGYPT! Not Demark. Tear them down.”

The casual reader might wonder about this man Shaun King, so eager for a Christian Kristallnacht. As Fox News noted, King was “a surrogate for Sen. Bernie Sanders,” and introduced the Vermont socialist at a rally for his presidential bid. Bernie Sanders is big fan of Denmark, so King’s anti-Jesus tweets may be a form of socialist distancing. For their part, other groups on the left have been distancing themselves from Shaun King.

“King was once a leading voice in the Black Lives Matter movement,” according to Fox News, “but fell from grace when his race was questioned and he was accused of being a Caucasian falsely portraying himself as black.” In the 2015 “The Shaun King Controversy Explained,” German Lopez delved into the back story.

Shaun King had “been told” that his actual father was a light-skinned black man. Lopez found that official sources in Kentucky listed the father as Jeffery Wayne King, like his mother “also white.” A family member also told CNN that King’s parents were both white, but King claimed he didn’t lie about using his race to obtain an Oprah Scholarship to historically black Morehouse College.

Lopez claims that race “may not be biologically real,” but it’s clear that Shaun King, 40, is a genuine fake. Aside from the racial issue, the former “senior justice writer” for the New York Daily News has been criticized as self-promoter, narcissist and incompetent activist. King’s anti-Jesus hatred is likely an effort to recover credibility with Black Lives Matter. On the other hand, it recalls a central reality of the left.

Marxist-Leninist revolutionaries have always hated Christianity because it elevates truth and offers a moral authority beyond politics. In America, black leftist radicals continued the tradition. As University of Pennsylvania professor Thomas J. Sugrue notes, black-power radicals derided the Rev. Martin Luther King, a Christian minister, as “de Lawd” and branded him as “hopelessly bourgeois, a detriment rather than a positive force in the black freedom struggle.”

In the novel Dreams from My Father, so proclaimed by the “composite character” author’s own biographer David Garrow, young Barry’s strongest influence is “Frank.” Frank is the African American Communist Frank Marshall Davis, a lifelong supporter of all-white Soviet dictatorships. When it comes to reading, Barry tries James Baldwin, Ralph Ellison, and such but “only Malcolm X’s autobiography seemed to offer something different.”

In a supposedly “white supremacist” United States, the son of an African American father and white mother became president of the United States, the most powerful person in the world. That president brought Black Lives Matter bosses to the White House and the ex-president recently expressed the hope that his vanguard of protesters would “seize the moment.” As he knows, the current surge of violence has nothing to do with George Floyd and everything to do with taking power by force.

Any campaign against murals and stained glass windows would be a prelude to the targeting of churches, ministers, and Christians. In similar style, the axis of Black Lives Matter, Antifa, and prominent Democrats aims to remove President Trump from office, but the strategic target is the United States itself. For this crowd, the ultimate statue for takedown is Lady Liberty herself, and radical Muslims are taking the lead.

“The Islamic State militant group (ISIS) planned to attack the Statue of Liberty in New York City with pressure cooker bombs,” Newsweek reported in January of 2018, “the Statue of Liberty has a very weak point in its lower back,” noted Munther Omar Saleh, 21, “if I can get a few pressure cooker bombs to hit the weak point, I think it will fall face down.” The FBI busted Saleh and fellow bomber Fareed Mumuni, 22,  who were aided by Australian jihadi Neil Prakash and an English supporter of ISIS.

Islamic militants and the American left are united in their hated of Christians and Jews. As Daniel Greenfield notes, a Farrakhan supporter played a leading role in violence that targeted Fairfax, the oldest Jewish community in Los Angeles. For Melina Abdullah of Black Lives Matter, these were people “who think that they can just retreat to white affluence.”

A great number of the George Floyd rioters across the United States have begun to use the same vicious tactics to attack their targets – primarily police officers and their vehicles – as Palestinian Authority terrorists use.

Washington DC: Secret Service Personnel Attacked
In Washington DC, more than 50 Secret Service personnel protecting the White House were hurt by Molotov cocktails hurled by rioters within the first two days of “protests” over the death of George Floyd during his arrest by a Minneapolis police officer.

Rioters succeeded in setting the White House Guard House ablaze on Sunday night.

More than 5,000 rioters hurled Molotov cocktails and other incendiary devices — including large live fireworks — towards the direction of the White House shortly after dark, in a manner similar to Palestinian Authority terrorists attacking Israelis in Judea, Samaria, Jerusalem and the Jordan Valley.

NYPD Firebombed Two Consecutive Nights
In New York City, rioters employed precisely the same tactics for the same purpose.

Two sisters were arrested after hurling Molotov cocktail into an NYPD van with four police officers inside the vehicle.

Samantha Shader, 27, of Catskill, NY, has confessed to the attack; she is charged with attempted murder of a police officer, attempted arson, assault on a police officer, criminal possession of a weapon and reckless endangerment. Police said Samantha threw the firebomb through a rear window of the van, and while being arrested, allegedly bit an officer on the leg as they struggled to subdue her resistance.

Her sister, Darian Shader, 21, allegedly tried to block police from arresting Samantha and faces charges of resisting arrest and obstruction of governmental administration.

Civil rights attorney, scholar and law professor Jonathan Turley commented on his blog on Monday when discussing the incident, “The best defense would be to challenge either the allegation that she threw the device or that the device was actually explosive or flammable. A mental capacity defense is often hard to make out with there is preplanning or pre-construction of an explosive device.

“It is hard to imagine any prosecutor bargaining down this charge (ed. note: attempted murder) since, if true, there would have been four officers burned to death if the device actually went off. Unless the device did not contain a flammable or explosive liquid, Shader is looking at serious time if convicted. For a Class A felony, the maximum term is life imprisonment. Even a Class B felony includes up to 25 years in prison.”

In a second firebombing case, an Ivy League-educated New York attorney has been arrested for attacking NYPD police officers, again with a Molotov cocktail. Colinford Mattis, 32, was allegedly aided and abetted by another New York City attorney.

In addition to being an up-and-coming attorney at Pryor Cashman (currently on furlough since April due to the coronavirus situation) Mattis is also a member of Community Board 5 in East New York.

Urooj Rahman, 31, was admitted to the New York Bar in June 2019; she is accused of being the one who threw the firebomb, created from a Bud Light bottle stuffed with a rag, at an NYPD police cruiser parked outside the 88th Precinct station house in Fort Greene.

A photo was snapped with Rahman holding a black-and-white keffiyeh to her face, possibly to mask her identity, while preparing to hurl the firebomb out the passenger’s side window of the van in which she and her partner were riding early Saturday, May 30.

The attack was recorded by an NYPD surveillance camera, which showed Rahman lighting the fuse on the beer bottle and throwing it through a broken window. The explosion of the device inside the vehicle was also recorded, as was the couple’s attempt to escape.

Both Mattis and Rahman were pursued by police and caught shortly after they fled the scene in their van. The makings for a second Molotov cocktail were found in the back seat, as well as a gasoline container, according to the Department of Justice.

The FBI said in a statement: “Officers pursued the minivan and arrested Rahman and Mattis, who was the vehicle’s driver. The NYPD recovered several precursor items used to build Molotov Cocktails, including a lighter, a bottle filled with toilet paper and a liquid suspected to be gasoline in the vicinity of the passenger seat and a gasoline tank in the rear of the vehicle.”

Both Rahman and Mattis face federal charges of “causing damage by fire and explosives to a police vehicle.”

Each faces a minimum prison term of five years and a maximum sentence of 20 years, if convicted.

Palestinian Authority Terror Tactics – Why Now?
The use of Molotov cocktails and live fireworks by American rioters to attack police as a means of expressing “rage” — a vicious form of attack that up to this point was seen almost solely in attacks by Palestinian Authority terrorists against Israeli motorists, police and military personnel — is now suddenly spreading from coast to coast in violence under the banner of “Black Lives Matter,” leading to the question of where and when this idea was generated, and how its use has come into play.

The coordination of violence between the Black Lives Matter movement and ANTIFA is not yet clear; however, the results from the cooperation between the two on the streets of America from coast to coast is obvious. Cities have burned for nearly a week.

St. Louis Churches Reject Black Lives Matter’s Anti-Israel Message

“Black Lives Matter” has also long been associated with anti-Israel messaging and movements such as the Boycott, Divest and Sanctions (BDS) economic war against Israel.

The “BLM” acronym was slathered in paint along with other forms of graffiti since the death of George Floyd, including such epithets as F—k Police, and in the case of synagogue buildings in Los Angeles, “Back to Palestine!”

How city authorities plan to deal with this new, upgraded level of violence and threat to their law enforcement personnel remains to be seen.

The Israeli daily Ha’aretz reported on May 19, 2020 that “Germany and the Palestinian Authority (PA) released a joint statement expressing ‘grave concern’ over Israel’s declared intention to begin annexing parts of the West Bank and the Jordan Valley. The same German government has ignored Israel’s legal rights in Judea and Samaria and imposed Nazi-like sanctions on Israeli products from these Jewish communities.

Germany has been on the side of Israel’s enemies time and again. Germany was a partner in the 2015 flawed Iran nuclear deal, which Israel vehemently opposed, charging that it gave the radical Islamic Republic a clear path to a nuclear bomb. Germany has also been Iran’s major trading partner, and a leader in thwarting the U.S. imposed sanctions on the ayatollah’s dictatorship. The Iranian regime has repeatedly threatened to “wipe the Jewish state off the map.”

Germany is also opposed to the Trump administrations “deal of the century” Middle East peace plan, which Israel overwhelmingly supports. German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas, complained that the Trump plan required a “balanced approach.” He stated that, “Only a negotiated two-state solution acceptable to both sides can lead to a lasting peace between Israelis and Palestinians.” In his apparent pro-Palestinian bias, Maas clearly ignored Mahmoud Abbas’ (Palestinian Authority President) repeated rejections of Israel’s peace proposals, including the 2008 generous peace offer by Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, and Prime Minister Netanyahu’s repeated invitations to Abbas to come to the negotiating table. Abbas also rejected the Trump peace plan even before it was presented.

Germans are guilty of perpetrating the greatest crime in history, the industrial liquidation of European Jewry, known as the Holocaust. Germany’s history, moreover, is replete with antisemitic violence against Jews. Whether during the crusades, or the ‘hep hep’ pogroms against the Jews throughout Germany in 1819, ostensibly aimed against Jewish emancipation. Germany has been, throughout history, a leading source of antisemitism and anti-Jewish racism. Today, with the memory of the Holocaust still fresh, German hostility to the Jewish state, although hidden from view, is alive and well in Germany’s Foreign Ministry, and it is reflected in its major policies.

The German Foreign Ministry is working behind the scenes to delegitimize Israel by funding Non-Governmental Agencies (NGO’s) that work openly do that job. At the same time, the German Foreign Ministry unknowingly or intentionally is damaging the relationship between Germany and Israel. All this is done while official Berlin is releasing declarations about Germany’s moral obligations to the Jewish state.

This dichotomy is perhaps a symptom of Germany’s latent antisemitism on one hand, and its efforts to re-brand itself as a new Germany, to redeem itself from its sordid past. German society has never truly confronted its antisemitism in the post war era. Contemporary Germans have a ready excuse that they have atoned for the Holocaust by restoring synagogues, (which they burned and destroyed in 1938 during the Kristallnacht pogroms) and built memorials for the dead Jews (that they are responsible for killing). Antisemitism is, however, pervasive throughout German society. For more than 20 years after WWII, about 100 former members of Adolf Hitler’s Nazi party held high ranking positions in the West German Justice Ministry.

A recent study which reviewed former Justice Ministry personnel files, showed that the prevalence of former Nazi officials in the Justice Ministry allowed them to shield one another from post-war justice. Some of these former Nazi officials took part in the murderous violence known as Kristallnacht. The presence of many Nazis in the post-war German administration created a sense of denial about Nazi crimes. For many Germans, the Nuremberg Trials were merely a kind of “victors justice,” and not Nazi Germany barbarism and genocide. Germans today, to repress their guilt for the Holocaust, are practicing what amounts to a “secondary antisemitism.” They resent living Jews for reminding them of their guilt. They have assumed the role of victim, with the Jews being their victimizer. Hilda Walter, a German Jewish journalist quipped that “It seems the Germans will never forgive us for Auschwitz.”

These days, while the German government expresses concern over growing antisemitism in Germany, it is funding antisemitic NGO’s. According to NGO-Monitor, “Officially, German funding is aimed at combatting poverty, securing food, establishing peace, democracy and human rights…However, German federal funding is allocated to, among others, organizations that promote anti-Israel BDS (Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions), lawfare campaigns, anti-Zionism, a one-state vision, antisemitism, and violence.”

The vehicle to disburse funding to Israel’s enemies is the Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). The BMZ is the primary federal authority managing German development policy. With a budget of 10.2 billion euros (2019), the BMZ provided the Palestinian territories with 85.7 million Euros in 2016. German government generosity includes the Applied Research Institute Jerusalem (ARIJ), a leading group engaged in political warfare against Israel. It is promoting BDS, and regularly levels false accusations of Israeli apartheid and racism, and support for a Palestinian “right of return,” which is inimical to a two-state solution. Miftah is another Palestinian organization funded by German government largesse. This group promotes resistance against Israel, which means terror attacks. It regularly accuses Israel of perpetrating “massacres,” cultural genocide, war crimes, and apartheid.

The German Foreign Ministry’s particularly harmful action has been the subversion of the Germany-Israel Friendship Association, which was formed in 1966 (a year after diplomatic relations were established between the two countries). The Association has 50 branches across Germany and between 5,000-6,000 members. The Association was, from the start, an a-political body supported by all German political parties, aimed to express their commitment to Israel. To expand its activities, the Association sought and received funding from the German government, and it has received 500,000 Euros annually, which is disbursed by the German Foreign Ministry.

The German government financial aid to the Association is not without a price. The Foreign Ministry used the aid to subjugate the Association to its policies, which often times contradicts Germany’s alleged commitment to Israel’s security. The same Foreign Ministry regularly votes against Israel in international bodies, including the UN.

The Association Board of Directors was ordered by the Foreign Ministry to immediately cease dealing with issues pertaining to UNWRA (United Nations Relief and Works Agency). Germany is the top donor to this agency specifically devoted to the Palestinians, and to no other refugees. UNRWA, as an organization, is committed to the destruction of the Jewish state by serving as an incubator for Palestinian terrorists. The Association was instructed to focus only on cultural activities affiliated with a particular political camp – the Israeli left.

In what amounts to a sharp blow to pro-Israel activities in Germany, the German Foreign Ministry announced that it is curtailing its financial support from a project used by the Association in conjunction with pro-Israel groups called “Days of Israel,” which are held around Israel’s Independence Day. “Days of Israel” activities take place in major German cities and towns. It includes speeches, performances, movies, and information booths that promote Israel. It is apparent that the biased German Foreign Ministry resents the pro-Israel message that the “Days of Israel” represents. They would rather have the Association present more “balanced” programs.

Young members of the Association on Study Tours to Israel were instructed by the German Foreign Ministry to avoid civic organizations associated with the political Right. They were especially warned not to meet with Jewish “settlers.” They were however, encouraged to meet with radical Leftist organizations.

It is becoming increasingly clear whose side Germany is on.

Darlene Zschech, former worship leader of Hillsong Sydney, has sold her seaside mansion for a reported $4-$4.4 million. The cliffside property, with a nearly 360 degree view of the ocean, is 1,258sqm with three levels, multiple entertainment areas, private movie theater, pool, and several cliff facing balconies (“Former Hillsong Church Leader,” Warwick Daily News, May 13, 2020). Zschech was “worship pastor” at Hills Christian Life Centre, Sydney, for 25 years, and published many of the most popular contemporary worship songs, including “Shout to the Lord,” “This Is Our God,” and “Mighty to Save.” In 2010, Darlene and her husband became the senior pastors of Hope Unlimited Church, but she continues to be involved in music projects with Hillsong. The New York Times reported that Hillsong is “without a doubt the most influential producers of worship music in Christendom” (“Megachurch with a Beat Lures Young Flock,” Sept. 9, 2014). Hillsong pushes one-world church ecumenism. Zschech says, “There is a new sound and a new song being proclaimed across the earth. It’s the sound of a unified church, coming together, in one voice to magnify our magnificent Lord” (“You Shine” album cover). Zschech and Hillsong performed for the Roman Catholic World Youth Day in Sydney on July 18, 2008. Pope Benedict XVI was present and conducted a papal mass. In July 2015, Darlene Zschech and Hillsong joined hands with the pope at the Convocation of the Renewal of the Holy Spirit at the Vatican. On her Facebook page, Zschech said: “Honoured to be singing this week, with Andrea Bocelli, Don Moen, Noa [Israeli singer], with Pope Francis and thousands of worshippers gathering in St. Peter’s Square at the Vatican. This is a celebration of unity and peace in the Renewal of the Holy Spirit. Amazing days for the Body of Christ.” Sadly, she doesn’t know the “body of Christ” from a pineapple, has zero spiritual discernment, yet she has vast influence among all denominations, including independent Baptist. In January 2019 and 2020, Hillsong Phoenix hosted the annual Alpha Conference which featured a Catholic mass. Fundamental Baptists and Bible-believing churches that use charismatic contemporary praise music are playing with fire. They will learn, probably too late, that this music brings with it a philosophy that will change the character of any fundamentalist church. It builds bridges to the “broader church,” which is progressing toward the formation of a “one-world church.”

The following is excerpted from “How Hebrew Almost Became the Language of America,” Israel Today, May 5, 2020: “William Gifford, an English poet and essayist, received a report that ‘In the rebellion of the Colonies, a member of that state seriously proposed to Congress the putting down of the English language by law, and decreeing the universal adoption of Hebrew in its stead.’ Some believe this was intended as a mockery of the mutinous colonists, but there is sufficient evidence to show that this was a very real and serious consideration. New England Puritans held a profound connection with Israel, the Hebrew language and the Jewish people. In their conviction that the Bible is the inerrant Word of God, they held the original Hebrew in great reverence and of particular importance in interpreting and understanding Scripture. ... William Bradford (1590-1657) was a Puritan separatist who immigrated to the Plymouth Colony on the Mayflower in 1620. Bradford, who went on to serve as governor of the new colony for 25 years, taught himself Hebrew because he wanted to read the Scriptures in their original language. On his gravestone he had inscribed in Hebrew, ‘The LORD is the help of my life’ ... Their love of Hebrew led these early New England Christian ministers to develop relationships with Jewish rabbis. Rev. Ezra Stiles, who was driven out by the British in 1776 and immigrated to New England, struck up a close friendship with Rabbi Haim Isaac Carigal. ... With his knowledge of Hebrew, Stiles translated large portions of the Hebrew Old Testament into English. As did many Christian ministers at the time, he understood that knowledge of the original Hebrew was crucial to the proper interpretation of Scripture and even the basis upon which one could properly understand the New Testament as well. Credit is sometimes given to Stiles for proposing that Hebrew replace English as the official language of the newly forming United States. When Stiles was elected president of Yale University, he initiated a course in Hebrew as a freshman requirement. The Hebrew words Urim and Thummim worn on the breastplate of the High Priest, perhaps signifying ‘Light and Perfection,’ became part of Yale’s official seal along with the Latin Lux et Veritas (light and truth).”

The following is excerpted from “Dutch Supreme Court Rules,” Reformation Charlotte, May 6, 2020: “If abortion against the unwilling infants still inside the mother’s womb isn’t bad enough, why not legalize abortion against elderly patients with dementia against their will? In a landmark ruling last month, the Dutch Supreme Court said that a doctor who committed euthanasia on an elderly patient with dementia while her family physically restrained her is not legally responsible for any wrongdoing. The Guardian reports: ‘Doctors in the Netherlands are able to carry out euthanasia on patients with severe dementia without fear of prosecution even if the patient no longer expresses an explicit wish to die, the country’s highest court has ruled. The supreme court’s decision followed a landmark case last year in which a doctor was acquitted of wrongdoing for euthanizing a woman in 2016 with severe Alzheimer’s who had requested the procedure before her condition deteriorated.’”


NINTH CIRCUIT COURT REVIVES CHURCH’S LAWSUIT AGAINST CALIFORNIA ABORTION INSURANCE MANDATE

The following is excerpted from “Ninth Circuit,” Christian Post, May 15, 2020: “A three-judge panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit has revived a California church’s lawsuit against a state law mandating insurance coverage for abortion. Skyline Wesleyan Church of La Mesa sued the California Department of Managed Health Care over letters from 2014 stating that insurance companies could not limit abortion coverage. ... The [Ninth Circuit] panel vacated the earlier district court ruling in a unanimous decision released Wednesday, sending the case back to the lower court for further proceedings. Circuit Judge Michelle Friedland authored the panel’s opinion, concluding that ‘Skyline has suffered an injury in fact. Before the Letters were sent, Skyline had insurance that excluded abortion coverage in a way that was consistent with its religious beliefs,’ Friedland wrote. ‘After the Letters were sent, Skyline did not have that coverage, and it has presented evidence that its new coverage violated its religious beliefs. There is nothing hypothetical about the situation.’ The Alliance Defending Freedom, a conservative law firm that represented the church before the Ninth Circuit, celebrated the panel’s decision. ‘The agency has unconstitutionally targeted religious organizations, repeatedly collaborated with pro-abortion advocates, and failed to follow the appropriate administrative procedures to implement its abortion-coverage requirement,’ said ADF Senior Counsel Jeremiah Galus.”


LOOKING FOR CHRIST’S RETURN THE MARK OF A TRUE CHRISTIAN

I say that the standard I put before you is nothing more than the New Testament standard, and the Apostles would have doubted your religion, if you were not looking and longing for the coming of the Lord. ... The believers among us shall meet with Christ, and the unbelievers shall be in hell. The night is far spent, and the day is at hand” (J.C.
