Israel-Hamas war: Israeli Govt. on hostage operations, murdered bodies held captive

The Israeli Government provided an update on the 129 hostages being held captive by Hamas. Israeli Government Spokesman Eylon Levy says Hamas is holding the bodies of hostages that have been murdered. The government says Hezbollah has launched an anti-tank missile from inside Lebanon at the Greek Orthodox Church, injuring a civilian.

Meet Linda Tigani, NYC’s Antisemitic Director of the Commission on Racial Equity

Linda Tigani is the latest bureaucrat to be rising high in the Diversity-equity-inclusion racket (NYC Division). She was recently appointed by New York Mayor Eric Adams to direct the city’s Commission on Racial Equity. When it comes to Jews her presumed commitment to “diversity-equity-inclusion” seems to evanesce.  She has quite a history, caught on videos proudly uploaded to social media, of urging, chanting, shouting at rallies “from the river to the sea/Palestine shall be free,” which means, of course, that the one tiny Jewish state must disappear, to be replaced by a 23rd Arab one. More on Linda Tigani can be found in a story from late October; unfortunately, since then nothing has changed. “New head of NYC racial equity commission has spewed antisemitic rhetoric,” by Matthew Sedacca and Deirdre Bardolf, New York Post, October 28, 2023:

Mayor Eric Adams’ new appointee to lead the city’s Commission on Racial Equity, Linda Tigani, has posted antisemitic messages for years, The Post has found.

Her views on the Israel-Palestine war aren’t so equitable.

Mayor Eric Adams’ new appointee for chair and executive director of the city’s Commission on Racial Equity has a history of spewing antisemitic rhetoric.

Linda Tigani, who raked in $143,938 in fiscal year 2022 as acting chief equity and strategy officer for the city Health Department, has repeatedly shared posts on X that include the phrase “from the river to the sea,” which is call by Hamas terrorists and their anti-Israel backers for the eradication of the Jewish state.

FROM THE RIVER TO THE SEA! PALESTINE WILL BE FREE!!” Tigani wrote in a July 1, 2020, post, which also included a clip from the “Day of Rage” rally in Brooklyn, where protesters reportedly chanted “Death to Israel” and “Death to America” in Arabic in response to Israel announcing plans to annex parts of the West Bank.

Tigani shared a video of a Palestinian artist and cook, along with a variant on the antisemitic phrase again in a November 2022 post, writing “Beautiful. From the River to the Sea #PalestineWillBeFree.”

Tigani has also shared a slew of posts highlighting Israeli attacks on Palestinians earlier this year.

The city’s appointed leader of its new Commission on Racial Equity has repeatedly posted antisemitic messages on social media.X @LindaTigan

Tigani has also championed Palestinians in the Middle Eastern conflict on her Facebook page, with her banner image currently reading “Free Gaza!!! Ethiopian for Palestine.”

Gaza has been “free” of Israelis since 2005, when every last Israeli, of some 8,500 who had been living in Gaza, left the Strip. Within two years, the Gazans were most unfree, suffering under the barbaric rule imposed by Hamas, the terror group which has ruled Gaza ever since. The people of Gaza owe their impoverishment to two things. First, the leaders of Hamas, most of whom are now living in five-star hotels in Doha, Qatar, watching the fighting from a safe distance, have long been engaged in the massive theft of aid money. Mousa Abu Marzouk has a fortune of $3 billion, Khaled Meshal has $4 billion, and Ismail Haniyeh has $4 billion. Just three Hamas leaders have helped themselves to eleven billion dollars. Second-echelon figures in Hamas have not been idle, either; they have grabbed a few million dollars apiece.

The second explanation for the wretchedness of life in Gaza is that the billions that were not stolen by Hamas leaders were spent, not on the wellbeing of ordinary people, but on buying weapons and constructing more than 1,300 tunnels that are 311 miles in total length, more than half the total length of the New York City subway system.

“Ethiopian for Palestine” writes Linda Tigani. This is Tigani’s quaint way to signal that she is Afro-American. She doesn’t realize, of course, that the only Ethiopians who may right now be in Gaza are not fighting “for Palestine.” They are Ethiopian Jews, Falashas, fighting in the IDF to protect the people and state of Israel.

Tigani has yet to post publicly on her social media accounts in the wake of Hamas slaughtering 1,400 people in Israel on Oct. 7….

Now that her antisemitic posts from the past have been revealed, she is likely to be very careful not to add more incriminating posts. I expect that from now on she will maintain a discreet silence about Israel and the Palestinians. But she’s left ample proof of her deep anti-Israel animus —and some would say, of her antisemitism.

Tigani and City Hall did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

What can she say? More importantly, what will Mayor Adams do now? When he appointed her, he was unaware of Tigani’s bigotry. I think he’ll do the only thing a sensible person can do, and fire her from her new job as Director of the Commission on Racial Equity. Don’t worry about Linda Tigani. Al Jazeera may well snap her up as a commentator on “Racism in America.” Or she could write a column for the Tehran Times. Or she could become an English-language journalist for the Palestinian News Agency Wafa. She’ll land on her feet, this Linda Tigani. Such people always do.

A left-winged dark money organization supporting anti-Israel protests throughout the United States has received large quantities in taxpayer-backed money and agreements in recent years.

According to a report of federal spending records, a powerful liberal dark money organization that supports anti-Israel activism nationwide has amassed enormous profits in recent years using taxpayer-funded grants and contracts.

The Tides Center, which provides funding to groups that support Hamas-related demonstrations following their lethal attack against Israel on October 7th, has long supported the progressive agenda financially, collaborating with billionaires like George Soros and Bill Gates.

However, documents state that with assets worth hundreds of millions of dollars, the Democrat-allied charity still has a major partner in the federal government, which between 2006 and 2023 gave the Tides Center more than $81.2 million either directly or through sub awards.

Adalah Justice Project, Palestine Legal, and the Catalyst Project are among the pro-Palestinian projects that profit from the Tides Center’s tax-exempt status. These organizations have frequently defended and minimized the Hamas-led attack on October 7th, which killed over 1,200 people in the Jewish state.

Over the years, the Tides Center and its sister organization, the Tides Foundation, have also contributed millions of dollars to organizations that have honored convicted terrorists from the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, such as the Alliance for Global Justice, an Arizona charity that an investigation revealed had ties to Palestinian terrorism.

Benjamin Baird, director of Middle East Forum Action, which is a watchdog monitoring organization linked to terrorism, stated that the groups have even been spotting on university campuses “chanting for the destruction of Israel.”

“The Tides Center is a clearinghouse for funding far-left causes, including radical anti-Israel ‘resistance’ groups that have been spotted on college campuses chanting for the destruction of Israel,” Baird said. “It does not need any help from the federal government, which is only subsidizing extremism by bankrolling a Marxist-Islamist piggy bank like Tides.”

The Tides Center received nearly half of the $81.2 million through a subcontract or sub grant, meaning that the money was awarded to the organization after the federal government had first given a prime award to another organization, such as entities including City and County of San Francisco and the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services.

The U.S. Departments of Agriculture, State, Education, the Interior, and the U.S. Agency for International Development are just a few of the numerous agencies that provided awards to the Tides Center, which have a extensive policy focuses.

President Johnson of Wellesley College Stands Her Ground Against Antisemitism

REPUBLISHED, SEE: https://www.jihadwatch.org/2023/12/president-johnson-of-wellesley-college-stands-her-ground-against-antisemitism

While some university presidents have been unable to answer “Yes”” to the question “Does calling for the genocide of Jews violate your institution’s code of conduct?,” President Paula Johnson of Wellesley is made of sterner stuff. And she has just stood up to — denounced, in fact — the faculty bullies who want to make sure that the Wellesley campus remains safe for expressions of antisemitism. The story of this Daniel come to judgment can be found here: “Wellesley College President Denounces Extreme Anti-Zionist Rhetoric, Rebuffing School Faculty,” by Dion J. Pierre, Algemeiner, December 18, 2023:

Wellesley College President Paula Johnson has pushed back on faculty pressuring her to condone certain anti-Israel rhetoric on campus, stating in an open letter that the Massachusetts school interprets “some” anti-Zionist speech as harmful to Jewish students.”

Johnson, who has served as college president since July 2016, made the declaration on Saturday in response to a faculty letter demanding that she go on record saying that no criticism of Israel or Zionism should be described as antisemitic.

The faculty “demands”? It sounds like the Soviet purge trials of the 1930s. Andrey Vyshinsky, Chief Prosecutor, “demanding” that the Old Bolsheviks such as Bukharin, Zinoviev, and Kamenev admit to their crimes before their inevitable execution.Paula Johnson, we the faculty of Wellesley College, DEMAND that you declare that ‘no criticism of Israel or Zionism should be described as antisemitic.'” Really? What about those who chant “from the river to the sea/Palestine will be free,” which everyone understands to be a call for the destruction of the Jewish state, and its replacement by a twenty-third Arab state? Is denying the Jewish people, uniquely, the right to have a state of their own not antisemitic? What about the call for “Jews to the gas,” which has been heard at pro-Palestinian rallies in Europe? Gosh, sounds antisemitic to me. What about those who after October 7 have been telling us at rallies that they “stand with Hamas” and, keffiyeh-scarved, wave the flag of Palestine? Remember, they are expressing solidarity with, and support for, the terror group that sent 3,000 of its operatives surging into Israel on October 7, where they proceeded to behead babies, burned children alive, gang-raped, tortured, and murdered young girls, sliced off the breasts of women, gouged out the eyes and cut off the genitalia of men, murdered children in front of their parents and parents in front of their children? Surely praise of Hamas, after what it did on October 7, must count as antisemitism. What do you say to that, faculty members of Wellesley, by Zoom or in solemn conclave assembled?

“I want to be clear that Wellesley will not make such a statement,” Johnson said. “Some anti-Israel and anti-Zionist speech can, in fact, create a hostile environment for many of our students.”

Thank god for the no-nonsense reply coming from President Paula Johnson, a Daniel come to judgment by the shores of Lake Waban. She said what all sensible people know: of course anti-Israel speech can be so hideous in its endorsement of Hamas killers, or in its call for the destruction of the tiny Jewish state, as to create a “hostile environment” for Jewish students and, come to think of it, for all students who have retained their moral sense.

Johnson added that the faculty members’ own statements in their letter, which accused Israel of committing a “genocidal assault on Gaza,” are part of the problem….

When those faculty members accuse Israel of a “genocidal assault,” they are doing two intolerable things. First, they are saying something that is idiotic. It was Hamas that committed the “genocidal assault,” wanting to murder Jews, any Jews of any age or condition, whom they came across in their rampage on October 7. Although the faculty members won’t admit it, the IDF goes out of its way to minimize civilian casualties by warning those in or near buildings that are soon to be hit to get out, get away. The IDF does this through leafletting, messaging, telephoning, and the “knock on the roof” technique. When it wanted to warn Gazans to leave the north of the Strip because it would soon become a battlefield, the IDF dropped 1.5 million leaflets telling them to move south. It’s no wonder that Colonel Richard Kemp, who commanded the British forces in Afghanistan, has described the IDF as “the most moral army in the world.” Furthermore, the UN has said that since World War II, the average civilian-to-combatant ratio has been 9 to 1. The American and British armies have recently done better: in Iraq the ratio was 3 to 1, in Afghanistan between 3 and 5 to 1. But in Gaza, Israel has managed to keep the ratio down to an unheard-of civilian to combatant ratio of 10 to 7. This testifies to Israel’s success in minimizing civilian while Hamas tries always to maximize them. And as for the charge that Israel supports “genocide,” let’s remind the Wellesley faculty that in 1967, when Israel won Gaza by force of arms in the Six-Day war, the Strip’s population was 410,000. In 2005, when every last Israeli was removed from Gaza, the population of the Strip was 1.3 million. Does that sound like “genocide” to you?

The Wellesley faculty — that is, that portion of it that, filled with anti-Israel animus, that demanded that President Johnson declare that “no criticism of Israel is antisemitic” — has met a immovable and immutable object: Paula Johnson’s moral sense. They have been foiled by her clear-eyed answerand In their ranks, confusion worse confounded reigns.  That’s the consummation that was devoutly to be wished. May other university presidents go and do likewise.

Climate Activist Greta Thunberg Wants to Save World and ‘Crush Zionism,’ Too

REPUBLISHED, SEE: https://www.jihadwatch.org/2023/12/climate-activist-greta-thunberg-wants-to-save-world-and-crush-zionism-too

That noxious Swedish brat Greta Thunberg, the well-known “climate activist” who has received far too much adoring attention, allowing her to think that she will singlehandedly save the world if only the world has the good sense to listen to her, has now turned twenty. She is not at all “sweet and twenty,” but as unpleasant as they come. She’s recently added another arrow to her quiver: it’s “Palestine” she pines for. It’s Hamas that has caught her fancy, it’s those terrible Israelis she feels a deep need to denounce. More on this charter member of Groupies for Gaza, who has been commenting on the climate conference just held in Dubai, can be found here: “Greta Thunberg slams COP28 climate deal and Israel, waves Palestinian flag,” by Maayan Jaffe-Hoffman, Jerusalem Post, December 17, 2023:

“The final outcome of #COP28 is not a ‘historic win,'” Thunberg tweeted. “It is yet another example of extremely vague and watered-down texts full of loopholes” that won’t solve the problem.

The climate problem is not to be “solved.” It is, rather, a situation that can be ameliorated. That is a different thing. It’s like the jihad being conducted by the Palestinians against Israel. That jihad cannot be “solved” as long as Islam exists, but nonetheless, a modus vivendi can be achieved with the Arabs if Israel remains overwhelmingly, and obviously, more powerful militarily than its enemies. That’s called deterrence, and it worked well during the Cold War.

Climate activist Greta Thunberg once again fused the Palestinian cause with the climate change movement as she participated in her weekly “Fridays for Future” protest outside parliament in Stockholm on December 15.

During the demonstration, she prominently displayed a Palestinian flag and held a “Free Palestine” sign – a photo of which she uploaded to her personal X account while bashing the Conference of the Parties (COP28) climate deal. She also proclaimed that the world will be “transitioning away from fossil fuels” to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050.

It’s mix-n’-match in Greta Thunberg’s overheated brain. She’s holding up the latest in vexillogical fashion — the flag of a future Palestinian state that, its supporters around the world fondly believe, will replace the Jewish state “from the river to the sea” with a twenty-third Arab one. At the same time, she continues to deplore the failure, as she sees it, of the meeting in Dubai of COP28.

Dr. Sultan al-Jaber was the president of COP28. He is the UAE’s environment minister, and he is also the CEO of the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC). Many were up in arms that someone so connected to the oil industry should have been the head of the conference, especially when they discovered that before the conference began he had said in an online event on Nov. 21 that “there is no science out there, or no scenario out there, that says the phase-out of fossil fuel is what’s going to achieve 1.5 [a rise in global temperature of 1.5 degrees].” Furthermore, he added, “it would be impossible to stop burning fossil fuels and sustain economic development, “unless you want to take the world back into caves.”

The Arab oil states were the spoilers at COP28. Just before COP28 began, the Arab oil states had held their own meeting in Doha, Qatar, where they passed a resolution essentially saying that “oil is here to stay.” And when they went to Dubai, they were determined to keep any language calling for an end to fossil fuels out of the final document. It was a battle royal, and in the end the Arabs decided to yield, just a little, so great was the clamor against them, by allowing “fossil fuels” to be mentioned, but making sure that the language about reducing their use was both vague and weak. In the Global Stocktake COP28, the parties agreed to “transition away from fossil fuels in energy systems in a just, orderly and equitable manner, accelerating action in this critical decade, so as to achieve net zero by 2050.” There’s plenty of room to maneuver in that call for a “transition…in a just, orderly, and equitable manner.” No binding commitments were made by individual countries to lower their carbon emissions by a set amount.

What Saudi Arabia think is a “just orderly, and equitable manner” of transition away from fossil fuels will be very different from what the U.K., or France, or India might think. The Saudis, Emiratis, and Kuwaitis will do everything they can to throw a spanner in the works, so determined are they to sell every last barrel of oil they have in the ground. No one wants to be left holding billions of barrels in a world that has completely “transitioned” to solar, wind, hydropower, and nuclear energy.

A Tight Embrace

REPUBLISHED, SEE: https://www.jihadwatch.org/2023/12/a-tight-embrace

So much sorrow and anguish. The sorrow for those fiendishly murdered on October 7, when Hamas killers came down like wolves on the fold, on the helpless innocent kibbutzim, and beheaded babies, burned children alive, gang-raped, tortured, and murdered young girls, the women whose breasts were sliced off, the men whose genitalia were cut off and eyes gouged out. The children murdered in front of their parents, the parents in front of their children. The killers’ laughter as they shot women in their vulvas, cut open a pregnant woman’s stomach to murder her baby before killing her, the hilarity of kicking a head, like a soccer ball, in the yard, the filming one another as they raped or mutilated or murdered. What fun! The Hamas operative who called his mother to excitedly tell her: “Mom, I killed ten Jews! I killed ten Jews with my own hands.”

Then there is the anguish of the families of the hostages. Of the original 245 believed to have been taken, how many has Hamas killed? The Israelis have recovered the bodies of eight hostages, and believe that twenty other hostages have been murdered by Hamas. Is it your child or children, your mother or your father or your sister or your brother, who is still alive, or has been killed? You may find out about your relatives next week, or you may not find out for months to come, depending on negotiations over another hostage-for-prisoner swap that may, or may not, take place. Now you have a new worry — fear that soldiers in the IDF itself might misidentify your relative held hostage as a member of Hamas. Three Israelis have already been killed from such a mistake. You have no idea what it would take — say, the killing of Yahya Sinwar — to prompt Hamas to summarily execute hostages. Will it be your relative, or someone else’s, or two dozen at once, who will receive a bullet in the back of the neck?

Two sisters, Dafna and Ella Elyakim, who were taken on October 7, were finally released in the hostage-for-prisoner swap and were met by their mother. I was particularly touched by the very tight embrace, the hug between the three of them, signifying “we must never be separated again.” More on their reunion can be found here: “This mother was reunited with her daughters after campaigning for their release on X,” Jerusalem Post, November 28, 2023:

Maayan Zin – an Israeli mother whose two daughters Dafna Elyakim, 15, and Ella Elyakim, 8, were kidnapped by Hamas on October 7 and brought into Gaza as hostages – had been rallying on their behalf on the social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter), demanding their release from Hamas captivity.

Her nightmare came to an end on Sunday after Israel secured their release, among the 17 people released by Hamas on the third day of the war’s “pause” in exchange for 39 Palestinian prisoners.

The family’s emotional reaction was captured on video and shared by Zin on social media.

You can see Maayan, Dafna, and Ella embracing in a video here.

And you can see all three — the mother and her two just-freed daughters — even more tightly entwined, in the photograph posted here.

That’s what cut me to the quick. That’s what I wanted you to see.

Poll: Majority Of Americans Aged 18-24 Think Israel Should ‘Be Ended And Given To Hamas’

REPUBLISHED, SEE: https://www.oann.com/newsroom/poll-majority-of-americans-aged-18-24-think-israel-should-be-ended-and-given-to-hamas/

According to a newly released poll, more than half of young Americans believe that the Jewish state should cease to exist.

Harvard CAPS/Harris poll was conducted between December 13th-14th with 2,034 registered voters. 51% of those aged between 18 and 24 years old stated that they believe the long-term solution to the Israel-Palestine conflict would be for “Israel to be ended and given to Hamas and the Palestinians.”

However, that statistic is drastically different from Americans aged 65 and over who were questioned. Only 4% of that particular age demographic said that Israel should “be ended.”

Additionally, the survey found that 66% of those aged 18-24 believe that the terrorist attack perpetrated on October 7th was constituted genocide. Meanwhile, another question revealed that 60% think that the attacks were justified due to Palestinian grievances.

The younger demographic was also surveyed on the topic of a ceasefire.

64% of the respondents of all ages favored a ceasefire, but only after all hostages would be released. 67% of those aged 18-24 said that they favored an unconditional deal that would leave things as is.

Overall, despite the outlier answers from the youngest age demographic, 81% of respondents above 24 years old who answered the survey had supported Israel.

Pro-Hamas demonstrators at Israeli embassy in DC shout at Jews leaving Hanukkah celebration: ‘We will kill you all’

Antisemitic Palestinian demonstrators should be immediately arrested when they make such death threats.

The same hooliganism and threats of physical harm that Jews have been living with in Israel have now spread to America and throughout the West.

“WATCH: Protesters Threaten To Kill Jews Leaving Israeli Embassy In D.C.”, The Yeshiva World, December 13, 2023:

The West Must Stand Up or Be Destroyed

AP Photo/Mary Altaffer

Trying to play both sides in a fight is always dangerous. This is especially true when the lines between sides are clearly delineated. Now is the time for every individual, every organization, and every country to take a stand in the war against the evil of Hamas, terrorism, and hate.  Do we side with Israel, whose IDF has correctly been called “the most moral army in the history of the world” and who has for over 70 years attempted to make “land for peace” deals to bring lasting peace to the Middle East? Or do we side with Hamas, a terrorist organization that in its own charter of 1988 calls for the obliteration of every Jew worldwide and publicly claims in that charter that the only reason to sit at peace negotiations is for subterfuge to weaken its enemy? Do we side with an organization that committed the heinous depravities of October 7, where its members beheaded babies, kidnapped and raped women, and tortured and killed civilians?

The choice really is that simple. Civilization or barbarism? Hope or hate? Life or death?

But for many of the Western world leaders, it seems that rather than take a stand for morality, they'd prefer to waffle and try to play both sides.

Take the most recent United Nations resolution, which calls for an immediate cease-fire — an action that would surely lead to a repeat of October 7 by allowing Hamas to regroup and reorganize. Even Hamas leadership has claimed that they will repeat that horrific day again and again until Israel is destroyed. While the UN condemns Israel, this same resolution makes no mention of the horrors that Hamas perpetrates. It is simply another UN resolution against Israel. It’s not a surprise, given that from 2015-2022, the UN had 140 resolutions against Israel, while it had just 68 resolutions against all other countries combined over the same period. According to the UN, Israel has committed more than twice as many human rights violations as every other nation (Russia, China, North Korea, Iran, et. al.) on the planet. The U.N.’s Jew-hatred is visible and virulent.

But Australia, Canada, and Japan, all of which have claimed to support Israel and previously condemned Hamas, all voted for this resolution. Britain and Germany, which have both claimed that they want to crack down on terrorism and destroy Hamas, abstained. Only ten countries, including the United States, voted against the resolution, which is a manifest support of Hamas and their depravities.

The reasons are clear and can be seen most easily in the words and actions of both Australia and the United States. Australia, in a joint statement with Canada and New Zealand,  condemned “Hamas’ heinous acts of violence” and called for its “immediate removal and dismantling,” yet it voted in favor of this pro-Hamas/anti-Israel resolution. While on the one hand, the Australian government repeatedly called for Hamas to lay down its arms and stipulated that there is no place for Hamas in governance, its actions at the UN say the exact opposite. Poignantly pointed out by Jeremy Leibler of the Zionist Federation of Australia, the inconsistencies of the Australian government are too blatant to continue ignoring. At the end of the day, on which side of the conflict do they stand: Israel or Hamas?

It’s not just Australia that is trying to play both sides. All of the West seems to be attempting the same dance. While Germany has made it clear that any group affiliated with Hamas will be arrested or deported, they abstained from the UN vote. Both Canada and Japan have longstanding bilateral agreements with Israel but despite internal governmental objections, both countries refused to vote against this anti-Israel resolution.

And then there is the United States. On the one hand, the U.S. voted against the resolution and recently completed a sale of tank shells to Israel. Sometimes, Biden talks about how supportive the U.S. is of Israel's right to defend herself and to fight as she sees fit. But hours later, he or Secretary Blinken will give a speech telling Israel how they need to fight the war, when it must end, and how the U.S. has limited patience for this war. Even in their qualified support of Israel, they are trying to please both pro-Israel and pro-Hamas supporters in the U.S.

The cause for these mixed signals to Israel is easy to understand.  Each of these governments knows who Hamas, Hezbollah, and similar groups really are. They know that these groups worship death and want not only the destruction of Israel but of the United States and the entire Western world in favor of a global Islamic theocracy. But they are also aware of how the media and academia have manipulated many of their citizens to not only support Hamas but to demonstrate and march for Jewish genocide and the destruction of Israel. In an attempt to get voting support from both sides, these governments speak in contradictions and political double-speak.

I suggest that the government leaders take a lesson from a classic movie and choose to take a side. For their own sake and the sake of the entire world.

Every person I knew in the 1980s loved the original Karate Kid movie. A feel-good story about an underdog’s victory, the film had a magical quality due largely to the engaging performance of Pat Morita as the enigmatic Mr. Miyagi. The martial arts sensei had a sense of humor that espoused wisdom that transcended fighting and held true for every aspect of life. One of his great quotes about life was, “Walk on right side of the road, safe. Walk on the left side, safe.  Walk in the middle, sooner or later you get squished like a grape.”

Western leaders need to realize the wisdom of Mr. Miyagi. The time is now past when governments can say they support Israel in one breath and then condemn Israel in the next.  As demonstrated by Mr. Liebler’s public letter, sides must be chosen. Either the West publicly admits the dangers of Hamas et. al. and support Israel unconditionally, or they choose to support Hamas in its war on Israel and the West. The longer that each of these governments tries to stay on the fence, the closer they come to creating their own destruction.

Some people think this is a war between Israel and Hamas, Jews and Arabs, or victim and perpetrator. It is not.

This is a war of good versus evil; of hope versus hate; and it is a war for the survival of Western culture against an Islamic theocracy. The war in Israel is the front line, and it is already spreading to the rest of the world. Each government needs to recognize this and take a stand.

Walk in the middle, and sooner or later you get squished like a grape. If the beauty and richness of Western culture are to survive, if freedom and liberty are to triumph over depravity, if life and the promise of the future are to be victorious over a cult that worships death and longs for a return to the barbarism of the past, then the choice is clear. The waffling must stop, and the civilized world must stand unconditionally with Israel.

The stakes could not be higher. The time is now to act for the preservation not only of Israel but of the values that have allowed the United States and Western culture to thrive.

It is Hanukkah, a time to bring light to darkness. We must choose the light of liberty over the darkness of terrorism and hate.

I pray that our leaders choose wisely. For the sake of Israel, the United States, and the world.

Biden hits Netanyahu for not wanting ‘two-state solution,’ says he must ‘strengthen and change’ Israeli government

As I’ve predicted many times, Biden is moving toward abandoning Israel in order to appease his far-Left pro-jihad base. A two-state solution would work exactly the same way the Gaza withdrawal of 2005 worked: it will be trumpeted as heralding a new age of peace, but then the new state will just become a new jihad base for more attacks against what is left of Israel.

American Muslims for Palestine Director: A ‘Jewish Person’ is ‘Enemy Number One’

REPUBLISHED, SEE: https://www.jihadwatch.org/2023/12/american-muslims-for-palestine-director-a-jewish-person-is-enemy-number-one

AMP’s co-founder also created Students for Justice in Palestine.

The Biden administration was forced to condemn CAIR after its boss, Nihad Awad, who had a history of supporting Hamas, attended the American Muslims for Palestine conference and bragged about how happy he was about the Oct 7 attacks.

Awad claims that his remarks were taken “out of context.”

Now here’s Taher Herzallah, Outreach and Grassroots Organizing Director for AMP, talking about how Jewish people are the enemy. “Anybody who has any relationship or any support or identifies himself as a Jewish person or as a Christian Zionist then we shall not be their friend, I will tell you they are enemy number one and our community needs to recognize that.”

I’m guessing this one will also be described as “taken out of context.”

The AMP conference included Awad, Herzallah, and Hatem Bazian, the co-founder of Students for Justice in Palestine, as well as AMP, who pretty much single-handedly made antisemitism the norm on college campuses.

Also present were Lena Masri, CAIR’s Civil Rights Director, and Fatima Mohammed: whose deranged CUNY Law grad speech went viral.

See if you can spot the pattern here.

Taher Herzallah is just quoting the Koran.

“O ye who believe! Take not the Jews and the Christians for friends. They are friends with one another. He among you who taketh them for friends is one of them. Lo! Allah guideth not wrongdoing folk.”

(Koran 5:51)

So this hatred of Jews or Christians didn’t emerge on Oct 7 or 1967, 1948 or during any recent period. It was always there. It’s just more out in the open now.

Deceitful Red Cross Lectures Parents of Israeli Hostage

Michael Snyder/Northwest Florida Daily News via AP

The Red Cross has had a difficult time over the last decade or so as questions concerning its accounting procedures have lingered. Now, it is under scrutiny again over its handling of certain aspects of the Israel and Hamas conflict.

Ron and Simona are the parents of Doron Steinbrecher. Doron was kidnapped by Hamas terrorists on October 7, under terrifying circumstances. On that day, Ron and Simona saw terrorists on their way to the area where Doron lived. Their daughter called them, but the call was suddenly dropped. Her last voicemail to her parents was saying, "they caught me, they caught me, they caught me."

Yesterday it was reported by the Jerusalem Post that Doron needs medication that, until her kidnapping, she took on a daily basis. Earlier in the week, Her parents were invited to a meeting with the Red Cross, which they believed would finally transfer her medication. Instead, they were lectured by representatives there and were told “think about the Palestinian side, It’s hard for the Palestinians, they’re being bombed.”

Simona was shocked by the callousness of the response saying “we left there as we entered, without new information, without something new, and with disappointment.”

This isn’t the first incident of poor treatment by the Red Cross in these circumstances. Elma Avraham is an 84-year-old woman who was freed during the ceasefire. Her family told Israeli media that the Red Cross had refused to bring Avraham the medication she needed during her captivity. Avraham was reportedly rushed to the hospital in critical condition immediately after she was released but, fortunately, she has improved since then. However, after Avraham was airlifted to the hospital, a relative said that he had tried to hand a Red Cross medic her medication to give her, but that he refused to accept it, saying it was against their protocols.

Dr. Nadav Davidovitch, who treated Avraham after her release, described a similar situation in The Jerusalem Post.

"We were in meetings with the Red Cross and asked them to make every effort to bring the medications to her, because some hostages are just dying. From a medical and nursing standpoint, what we witnessed is unlawful neglect."

The Red Cross and Red Crescent are part of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC). The ICRC has been criticized in the past for not practicing the neutrality that it professes.

Approximately three weeks after the attack, 1,200 lawyers across the world signed a letter written by the Israeli human rights group Shurat HaDin, condemning the Red Cross for not doing enough to help the hostages. The attorneys accused the organization of repeating the mistakes of indifference and inaction that it admitted to having made during the Holocaust.

Allegations of bias against the ICRC go back decades. The Republican Policy Committee of the US Senate issued a report in the early 2000's accusing the ICRC of engaging in activism, in violation of its stated founding core principles of impartiality and neutrality.

It even went as far as alleging that the ICRC attempts to "reinterpret and expand international law so as to afford terrorists and insurgents the same rights and privileges as military personnel of States Party to the Geneva Conventions," and "lobby for arms control issues that are not within the organization's mandate."

After the 2010 earthquake in Haiti, the organization gathered $500 million in donations. To date, it is still one of the most successful campaigns in history. Six years later, in 2016, following a nearly year-long investigation by Senator Chuck Grassley’s office, the report to the Senate Judiciary and Finance committees found that the charity spent $125 million, or a full 25 percent of the donations it received for earthquake relief and recovery efforts, on fundraising and management, a contingency fund, and "program costs," even though the organization repeatedly has stated that nine out of every ten dollars it receives in donations are spent on programs.

NPR/ProPublica also found that nonprofit organizations working on the ground in Haiti that received funds from the Red Cross spent as much as 11 percent of those funds on internal overhead costs. As a result of a "complex, yet inaccurate" accounting system, the report notes, the Red Cross doesn't know how much it spent on each project in Haiti.

Accompanied by nearly three hundred pages of supporting documents, the report also found that top Red Cross officials stonewalled Congressional investigators and released incomplete information about the organization's activities in the impoverished country. They have insisted, for example, that $70 million spent on "program expenses" included funds to oversee and evaluate its Haiti projects, yet Grassley's office found that the charity "is unable to provide any financial evidence that oversight activities in fact occurred."

There are many terms that can be used to describe the Red Cross. Unfortunately, "caring," "compassionate," and "trustworthy" aren’t any of them. The real shame here is that so many people will continue to be fooled by the front they present, while behind the scenes the exact opposite is true.

In 2021, the American Red Cross (ARC) raised $3.1 billion with most revenue ($2.1 billion) coming from the sale of biomedical services (i.e., blood and plasma collected through donations and sold), with the remaining revenue obtained primarily through contributions, gifts, and grants totaling $1 billion, including $170 million from the government.

Expenses totaled $2.8 billion, with the largest expense reported to be compensation (salaries, pension, benefits, and payroll taxes). 17,918 employees received $1.353 billion, or an average compensation of $76,000. The 15 most highly compensated employees were reported to be:

  • $781,120:  Clifford Holtz, Chief Operating Officer
  • $751,789:  Chis Hrouda, President, Biomedical Services
  • $723,696:  Shaun Gilmore, Chief Transformation Officer
  • $640,483:  Gail McGovern, President and CEO
  • $629,954:  Brian Rhoa, CFO
  • $535,518:  Paul Sullivan, SVP, Donor Services
  • $491,333:  Phyllis Harris, General Counsel
  • $488,883:  Melissa Hurst, Chief HR Officer
  • $468,179:  Don Herring, Chief Development Officer
  • $451,121:  Jack McMaster, President, Training Services
  • $444,692:  Peter Giamalva, SVP, Biomedical Sales and Marketing
  • $409,434:  Pampee Young, Chief Medical Officer
  • $408,920:  Ronnie Strickland, CIO
  • $407,120:  Harvey Johnson, President, Humanitarian Services
  • $326,631:  Jennifer Hawkins, Corp Secretary and Chief of Staff

So, as you can see, no one is hurting at the Red Cross, except those that are hoping for some care, compassion and legitimate help.

Israel warns: If we lose the war with Hamas, Europe is next, ‘as well as the US and Canada’

Eylon Levy is 100% accurate. Those who do not see Western interests in Israel’s war on Hamas are clueless about what normative Islam is all about: a global caliphate. Israel is in the foreground of a classic jihad. It stands as the only unconquered country in the Middle East, while jihadis continue to try to obliterate it. Meanwhile, Islam expands violently in Africa, and stealthily in the EU, UK and North America. But it should be observable to all by now that jihad violence is now escalating and expanding in the West. People are being tricked and lied to as Israel is set up as the aggressor; never mind the copious evidence of 1,400 years of jihad. Hamas Political Bureau member and former Minister of the Interior Fathi Hammad recently spelled out the plan HERE.

“Israel Warns: If We Lose the War with Hamas, Europe is Next,” by Hana Levi Julian, Jewish Press, December 5, 2023:

Israeli government spokesperson Eylon Levy warned in a briefing to the Jerusalem Press Club on Tuesday that the destruction of Hamas is a “vital national security interest” for the nations of Europe as well as for the Arab world.

“Arab capitals, even those nations that are unable to speak openly in support of Israel’s campaign against Hamas, understand that this war has to end with the total defeat of Hamas. They understand Hamas within the Arab world as being an extension of the Iranian imperialist project together with Hezbollah in Lebanon and the Houthis in Yemen and the other militias in Iraq and the Assad regime (in Syria). They understand that it is part of Iran’s strategy of entrenching itself across the region, projecting its power and aggression.

“They also understand Israel has to end this war with defeat of Hamas in Europe as well as the United States and Canada. These nations understand that as grim as the images are on our screens right now from the fighting – fighting in a war I am surprised sometimes that I have to keep reminding people in every interview that Hamas STARTED the war, that Hamas has chosen to fight from densely populated areas. We didn’t choose the war. We didn’t choose the timing of the war. We definitely didn’t choose the battlefield.

They understand that the consequences of inaction would be much worse. That an army of terror cannot perpetrate an atrocity like it did on October 7th and get away with it because if it does that it emboldens Islamist extremists and terrorists all around the world to think that they can attack democratic states with impunity and get away with it…..

Profiles in Pusillanimity: Brown University President Christina Paxson Cuts Denunciation of Antisemitism From Speech

Omer Bartov, a professor of Holocaust and Genocide Studies at Brown University, has publicly denounced Israel as being responsible for the attacks carried out by Hamas on October 7. More on Bartov’s grotesque remarks can be found here: “‘Genocidal Intent’: Brown University Holocaust Professor Blames Israel for Hamas Terrorism,” by Alec Schemmel, Washington Free Beacon, December 6, 2023:

One day after the terror group slaughtered scores of innocent Israelis—including women and children—a Brown student group during an “emergency meeting” argued that Hamas’s attack was “justified violence” and “in fact a victory,” the Washington Free Beacon reported. Brown students have also sympathized with Hamas on Sidechat, a popular app on Brown’s campus that allows students to share anonymous thoughts with their classmates. Students have taken to the app to share comments such as “There is no such thing as an innocent Israeli.”

The Brown students who think that the atrocities committed by Hamas constituted “justified violence” and a “victory” have lost all moral sense. There is no reasoning with them. They should, however, be punished — all the way up to, and including, expulsion from the university — for defending, and even praising, what are clearly war crimes. There is, alas, no way to find the authors of the anonymous comments on Sidechat, where Brown students have been justifying the October 7 murders of civilians in such terms as “there is no such thing as an innocent Israeli.” They are, every one of them, including a three-month old, ten-month-old, two-, four-, and six-year-old children, guilty of war crimes and deserve to be punished.

Brown president Christina Paxson has also faced criticism for abandoning Jewish students—during a recent event, Paxson cut from her speech a planned remark denouncing anti-Semitism after pro-Palestinian students heckled her. A university spokesman said Paxson merely “abbreviated” her remarks in an attempt to wrap up her speech….

Profiles in Pusillanimity: President Paxson, apparently fearful of pro-Palestinian students who heckled her, succumbed to their menacing behavior, and cut from her speech a section that did nothing more than denounce antisemitism. Apparently even that proved too much for the pro-Palestinian crowd, that was unwilling to hear a word in defense of harassed Jews on campus and against antisemitism. Instead of sticking to her script, Paxson — not wanting to endure chants and catcalls — simply dropped her condemnation of antisemitism. If you were a Brown alumnus or alumna, would you want to support the university that is now being run by people unwilling to condemn antisemitism?

Bartov in his op-ed also urged Israel’s government to “define a clear political endgame that will create conditions to end this conflict.” While the Jewish state has identified that “endgame” as the destruction of Hamas, Bartov in the op-ed said the removal of “Hamas’s political and military control … may not be entirely feasible.”

The removal of Hamas as a military force looks more “feasible” every day. I was unaware that in addition to his work in “Holocaust and Genocide studies,” Omer Bartov had become a sudden expert in military strategy. I’d put my faith more in the IDF generals than in armchair warrior Bartov, as to what is or is not “feasible.” And all this talk about Israel “having to define a clear political endgame” is silly. Israel is in the middle of a most difficult war. Until that war’s goals are achieved — the destruction of Hamas as a military power and the return of all the hostages — Israel does not have time right now to come up with such a plan, which whatever it turns out to be, will depend for its adoption on the fractious Israeli electorate. Even if the current Israeli government has such a plan, it is not at all certain that it will remain in office once the war is over. And in any case, why would Israel’s government want to tip its hand in such a delicate matter? I suspect that Israel is hoping, with American help, to persuade the rich Arab oil states — chiefly Saudi Arabia and the UAE — to take control of day-to-day life in Gaza, and to contribute the tens of billions of dollars in reconstruction aid that Gaza will require. The Gazans will accept with better grace rule by other Muslim Arabs, especially if those Muslim Arabs are the very people pouring billions of dollars into the Strip. And the UAE and Saudi Arabia would have their agents right inside Gaza to make sure their aid money is not diverted or wasted. Both the UAE and Saudi Arabia hate and fear Hamas, which is part of the Muslim Brotherhood; the MB is a dangerous enemy of the Gulf monarchies. And both will be re ready to cooperate with the IDF in making sure that Hamas does not reappear in Gaza.

Maryland: Marxist Teachers Union official makes list of wealthy Jews she calls ‘gluttons and thieves,’ blames Trump

“Fear is leading to censorship. I hope this person gets anti-imperialism and joins us in the struggle … No war but class war!”

No Marxist should be getting anywhere near our schools, but today they’re in control. Meanwhile, this hate-filled creature epitomizes how the Left’s identification with the “Palestinian” jihad — which they cast as a struggle of the brown oppressed against the white oppressor — leads to open Jew hatred.

“Teachers Union Official Compiled List Of Nearby Wealthy Jews, Calling Them ‘Gluttons And Thieves,’” by Luke Rosiak, DailyWire.com, December 4, 2023:

A Maryland teacher is on leave while the school system investigates her for a string of anti-Semitic social media posts that included creating a list of wealthy Jews in her county, claiming they horde wealth while contributing nothing to society, and calling for “class war.”

Angela Wolf is head of the English Language Development department, which caters to immigrant children, at Takoma Park Middle School, in the most leftist enclave of liberal Montgomery County. Though she was temporarily removed from school, she remains a board member of the Montgomery County Education Association, one of the largest teachers union locals in the country representing 14,000 staff.

Her Facebook posts included a drawing of an Israeli tank pointing a tank gun at babies in a hospital NICU, and saying “Enemy in sight!” As the war wages against the Hamas terrorists who murdered over 1,200 Israelis on October 7, she has posted frequently against Israel. On November 16, she commended “bus operators at Dulles who refused to transport Zionists to the pro-Israel rally,” adding that “their solidarity with the victims of Israeli genocide should be commended.”

On October 28, she shared a post saying, “It is not a war — it is a slaughter. Israel determined to make Gaza uninhabitable.”

In December 2020, well before the conflict in Israel, she wrote:

Four of the five billionaires she named are Jewish except Saul, who happens to have a common Jewish name.

In response to criticism, she claimed — referring the the group of people with names like Rubenstein — that she had “no idea these billionaires are Jewish or that my word choice had an [sic] historic significance for the Jewish community. The diatribe against these two words has turned the discussion into a fallacious attack … People are angry at teachers a particular politician or the poor. I have read no attacks on the 1% … who have NOT ‘earned’ ‘their wealth.’”

She said “They use their accumulated wealth to further their own interests” and blamed their hoarding for students falling behind while teachers unions refused to work because of COVID. “There should be little question that staying home should NOT equal mental health crises for kids and communities angry because school staff also need to be home,” she wrote.

When someone else criticized her for her anti-Semitic posts, she responded by calling former President Donald Trump a “scumbag” and said, “Fear is leading to censorship. I hope this person gets anti-imperialism and joins us in the struggle … No war but class war!”…

Dr. Shmuel Katz Video: The Rise of Antisemitism on U.S. Campuses

How Arab countries shaped our academic discourse.

Dr. Shmuel Katz, a leader in Israeli advocacy in the United States, in a conversation with Arutz Sheva-Israel National News, discusses the rise in anti-Semitism on US campuses.

According to Dr. Katz, Arab countries have for decades strategic investments in education, where financial contributions to the tune of billions of petro-dollars lead to increased influence and representation within universities in the form of appointment of scholars who align with the values of the donors.

This, he explains, has shaped academic discourse and fostered a connection between universities and the interests of donor countries.

Hamas jihadis had ‘a thing with sexual organs’ and targeted genitalia of Israeli victims

Why? Primarily in order to “strike terror in the enemies of Allah” (Qur’an 8:60), and to humiliate those who they hated. But also because Islam exalts sexual activity as essentially the highest good a human being can attain, since it is what the blessed will be engaging in forever in paradise. As far as they’re concerned, to destroy one’s ability to engage in it is to strike at the most precious aspect of humanity.

“Hamas terrorists had ‘a thing with sexual organs’ and targeted genitalia of Israeli victims: UN testimony,” by Yaron Steinbuch, New York Post, December 5, 2023:

Barbaric Hamas terrorists had “a thing with sexual organs’’ and targeted the genitalia of male and female victims during their Oct. 7 attack on Israel, according to harrowing United Nations testimony Monday.

Some of the fiends’ unspeakable acts involved a murdered woman found with “nails and different objects in her female organs” and a gang-rape victim who had one of her breasts cut off — with her attackers then playing with it on the road, Israel said.

There were “horrific things I saw with my own eyes and I felt with my own hands,” said stricken Simcha Greinman, a volunteer who helped collect the remains of the slaughtered victims, according to the New York Times.

The Jewish state accused the UN during a special session of moving too slowly to address reports that the terror group unleashed sexual violence as a weapon of war in its attack, NBC News reported.

“This was premeditated. This was planned. This was instructed,” Israeli UN Ambassador Gilad Erdan said at the session, held at the UN’s Manhattan headquarters, according to All Israel News.

“Sadly, the very international bodies that are supposedly the defenders of all women showed that when it comes to Israelis, indifference is acceptable,” he said.

“To these organizations, Israeli women are not women, the rape of Israelis is not an act of rape. "Their silence has been deafening,” he added, referring to UN groups and the international community.

About 800 people, including Jewish groups and diplomats from dozens of countries, attended the presentation, which laid out evidence of large-scale sexual violence.

A female police officer said in video testimony played at the event that during the sneak attack, “shooting was targeted at sexual organs,” adding, “We saw that a lot,” All Israel reported.

“The women we received, they were civilian. … We mainly saw either breast amputations or gunshots just to the breast, simply shooting from one side of the breast to the other,” another female cop said.

“As for men, they were also shot in their genitalia,” she added.

One of the officers said, “They had a thing with sexual organs — both in women and in men, either amputation or targeted shooting [to that part of the body],” the Messenger reported.

Shari Mendes, a member of an Israel Defense Forces reserve unit in charge of identifying and preparing the bodies of female soldiers for burial, also testified that she saw “systematic genital mutilation,” according to All Israel.

A female survivor of the attack on a musical festival where hundreds of people were massacred described how a woman was raped during the atrocity.

“I remember how [one attacker] shifted her position, then passed her on to another person,” she recalled in the video testimony.

“She was alive. … She was standing. … She was bleeding from her back. … She had long hair, and he was pulling it. … She wasn’t dressed. … He cut her breast. "He threw it on the road, and they played with it,” the woman recounted in the gruesome testimony.

Israeli national police Superintendent Yael Richert, who presented the sickening accounts, said, “Everything was an apocalypse of corpses — girls without any clothes on, without tops, without underwear, people cut in half, butchered, some were beheaded.”…

Muslim Lives Matter. Jewish Lives Don’t

SEE: https://www.jihadwatch.org/2023/12/muslim-lives-matter-jewish-lives-dont;

Republished below in full unedited for informational, educational, & research purposes.

Attacks on Muslims and Jews are treated very differently.

On Nov 5, Paul Kessler, a 69-year-old Jewish man, was killed at a pro-Israel rally in California.

A pro-Hamas protester had previously displayed guns to intimidate the pro-Israel ralliers. While Kessler lay bleeding on the ground, the Muslim protesters chanted, “Hitler should’ve smashed you ” and threats of violence from Hamas. The media reported none of this, instead describing the killing of Kessler as an accident. Once the killer was arrested, CNN did not interview Paul’s friends, but quoted claims that his Muslim assailant was really a “man of peace.”

Few local officials, no state officials and certainly no one in the Biden administration said a word.

On November 25, three Arab Muslim men were shot in Burlington, VT, during a confrontation with Jason James Eaton, a mentally unstable Biden supporter described as “the hippie guy.”

Even though Eaton had denounced “Amerika” as “imperialist and corrupt,” was not Jewish, had no apparent interest in Middle East politics or Israel, politicians and the media without a single shred of evidence claimed that the wounded Muslim men who identified as ‘Palestinian’ had been targeted because of Israel’s campaign against Hamas and an imaginary ‘Islamophobia’.

Paul Kessler’s killer was not arrested at the scene and was not arrested at all until ten days later. Bail was initially set for him at $1 million, which was cut to $50,000, and he’s out on the street.

Eaton was arrested by agents of the ATF, a federal agency, and is being held without bail. The FBI and “several other federal, state, and local agencies” are investigating the shooting of the three Muslim men. No such investigation was tracked for Kessler’s death in California.

While Biden did not comment on the killing of Paul Kessler, Biden issued a statement about the wounding of the Muslim men, declaring that, “there is absolutely no place for violence or hate in America” implying without evidence that there had been some hateful motive in the altercation.

Kamala Harris, who had made no statement about Paul Kessler’s killing, even though it took place in her home state, claimed that “far too many people live with the fear that they could be targeted and attacked based on their beliefs or who they are.”

Governor Phil Scott, Senator Peter Welch, Senator Bernie Sanders and numerous other public officials also issued statements. So did multiple senators who aren’t even from Vermont.

Sen. Welch condemned “hate and Islamophobia” and claimed that the “conflict in the Middle East has brought an alarming spike in Islamophobic incidents across the United States.”

The same media outlets that had minimized or ignored Paul Kessler’s death launched a full-court press promotional campaign for the Burlington shootings. NBC News deployed a live blog site to cover a few seconds of violence that quickly ended with Eaton’s arrest. NBC shared a photo of one of the Muslim men, who is 20 years old, as an 11-year-old boy.

NBC News provided a platform for Muslim men and their Islamic allies to blame Israel for the shooting and promote the terrorist cause. This was not a privilege provided to the dozen black people shot in Chicago around the same time.

Brown University President Christina H. Paxson claimed, falsely and without evidence, that the shooting was “latest evidence of anti-Arab and anti-Palestinian discrimination and hate spiraling across this country and around the world”. Despite that, she was booed off the stage at a ‘vigil’ for not agreeing to boycott the Jewish State. Then a professor read a letter from the injured Muslim man claiming falsely that Israel would have shot him and left him to die.

The vast difference between how Paul Kessler’s killing and the wounding of the Muslim men were treated is a microcosm of political bias and media narratives. The media rushed to cover up the Burlington shootings, but rushed to cover up Paul Kessler’s death. Politicians issued statements about what happened to the Muslim men, but not about what happened to Paul.

The attack on Paul was indisputably motivated by hatred for Jews. It came in the context of support for the mass murder of Jews and chants about Hitler. Yet the media has refused to discuss any of that. It has, however, covered non-stop an altercation in which the motive is unclear, as if it were demonstrably occasioned by hostility to Arabs, Muslims or “Palestinians.”

This is not anecdotal: it’s part of an ugly pattern of political and media double standards.

Since the Hamas massacres of Oct 7, there has been a 400% increase in antisemitic incidents and on campuses, 73% of Jewish and 44% of non-Jewish students described witnessing antisemitism. But those are just statistics. What does it look like on the ground?

On the eve of the anniversary of Kristallnacht, the Museum of Tolerance screened footage of the Hamas atrocities, and was descended upon by a pro-terrorist mob that justified the violence. Members of the Jewish community were assaulted by the pro-Hamas mob. Neither the media nor local officials condemned one of the most brazen antisemitic campaigns in American history.

Mayor Karen Bass reposted a media report misleadingly describing a scene in which “two groups outside LA’s Museum of Tolerance” clashed and condemned “unacceptable violence” rather than the equivalent of the KKK showing up in a black neighborhood. No public official, to my knowledge, issued a statement condemning the attack on a Holocaust museum on the anniversary of Kristalnacht. Some of those officials, including DA George Gascon, listed endorsements from the hate groups behind the attack. Some of the leftists responsible have since targeted another Holocaust museum in the Los Angeles area with pro-terrorist rallies.

In another part of Los Angeles, Daniel Garcia, a leftist activist, broke into the home of a Jewish family and threatened to kill them, “because you are Jewish… Israel kill people.” As he was being arrested, he went on shouting, “Free Palestine” and “Brown Lives Matter”.

Despite his long history of leftist activism, which included working as a field organizer on the Bernie Sanders campaign and serving on the boards of multiple leftist groups, the official word was that he was suffering from mental illness. And that it was not a political act.

In reality, Garcia has a long history of posting anti-Israel material on social media. After being released, he went on posting it including videos from terrorists attacking Israel. His social media, with its BDS videos, Islamic propaganda, Norman Finkelstein clips and the rest of it is easily publicly accessible. No one in the media has bothered to report on it. And it will stay that way.

The Left has not even broken ties with Garcia in the aftermath of his attack on a Jewish family.

Attacks on Jews and Muslims are treated very differently for political reasons. Unless the attacks on Jews are carried out by far-right perpetrators, they are ignored and buried. When they are carried out by Muslims or anti-Israel leftists, they’re covered up, not reported on.

A Muslim can kill a Jewish man in broad daylight and the media will try to minimize it. Leftists and Muslims can attack a Holocaust museum on the anniversary of one of the most infamous dates in the Holocaust, and politicians and the media will call it a “both sides” problem. And a Leftist calling for the murder of Jews and ‘free Palestine” can invade a Jewish family’s home and it will strictly be a local crime story. But when there is any incident involving Muslims, it automatically becomes front page news regardless of how little evidence there is to it.

Anything that bolsters the ‘Islamophobia’ narrative and the claim that Muslims are the victims is always in demand.

On Oct 23, Hesham A. Ayyad claimed that a driver hit him with a car while shouting, “kill all Palestinians,”and “long live Israel.” CAIR demanded that the police and the FBI “collect all the information they need to charge this individual with a hate crime.” Vox quickly picked it up. So did other media outlets. Police however found he had been beaten up by his brother.

Vox has yet to correct its story, which still lists it among other “Islamophobic” crimes caused by Israel’s war against Hamas.

Why did Paul Kessler’s killer think he could get away with it? And why have there been so many open attacks on Jews, especially on college campuses, in the past month? Because politicians and the media have shown that some lives matter more than others. Jewish lives don’t matter.

Only Muslim lives do.
