Celebrate diversity! This plot was a direct result of mass Muslim migration into Europe. You know, the mass migration that only “racists” and “Islamophobes” oppose. The Left is forcing “diversity” upon Europe in a sea of blood.

“Greek police uncover Pakistani plot to attack Jewish synagogue in Athens – ‘€15,000 per dead,'” Greek City Times, March 28, 2023:

A Pakistani jihadi group operating in the Greek capital was unveiled to be masterminded by a man who is wanted for murder in Iran and who recruited two men aged 27 and 29 to carry out a series of targeted terrorist attacks against innocent civilians and a Jewish restaurant/synagogue.

The terrorist organisation was dismantled by Greek police and intelligence officers.

The first target for the series of attacks, and in which the planning was almost completed, was a Jewish restaurant which also functioned as a synagogue. The restaurant-synagogue is in the central Athens neighbourhood of Psirri.

The would-be terrorists had chosen to attack either with weapons, explosives, or setting fire at a time when there would be more than 50 people in the building. In other words, the goal was a mass bloodbath.

For each dead person, the two Pakistani perpetrators would receive 15,000 euros from the Pakistani mastermind of the terrorist network, Proto Thema reported.

The case began to unfold two months ago when information about the network’s activity reached the National Intelligence Service (EYP) of Greece. The Anti-Terrorism Department were also informed.

The two Pakistanis, who worked in various manual jobs in Attica and the countryside were immediately observed by intelligence officers and on February 15th and 16th they were arrested as they did not have the necessary papers to stay legally in Greece.

From their mobile phones, communications with the leader were found. The pair had carried out surveillance on Aesopou Street in Psirri. They then received the final instructions for carrying out the attack and began looking for more people to help carry out the terrorist attack….

It was recently revealed that up to 50,000 Pakistanis are living in Greece with fake papers, most having entered posing as Syrians during the 2015-2016 refugee crisis and without any real formal documents or identity papers.

Biden Blasted for Weak Response to Iran Attacks on Americans in Syria

The response by President Joe Biden to drone and rocket attacks in Syria that resulted in the death of a U.S. contractor and injuries to six other Americans was criticized by Republicans as being too little too late.

On Thursday, Biden ordered retaliatory airstrikes in response to the fatal drone attack in Syria on a coalition base. Republicans criticized his response, citing his weaknesses as a president towards other world leaders. Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) accused Biden of letting Americans down again and placed the blame squarely on him. Furthermore, a day after the retaliatory airstrikes, Iran-backed proxy forces launched rockets at a U.S. base in northeast Syria, highlighting the escalating tensions in the region.

“I fear General Milley and Secretary of Defense Austin are not proving to be up to the task of providing the deterrence America needs to remain safe. However, the ultimate blame for the failing foreign policy and military situation we find ourselves in lies with President Biden,” Graham tweeted on Friday. “President Biden owes it to those Americans fighting radical Islam to respond vigorously to any attack on them and their position by Iranian proxies. The weak, uncertain response to the initial attack obviously did not work.”

“America has only one path available when attacked – respond swiftly and vigorously with overwhelming, punishing force designed to make enemies wary of engaging with the United States,” he added. “Being strong is the best deterrence against future attacks.”

Sen. Tom Cotton (R-Ark.) also criticized President Biden’s retaliatory strikes as coming too late, claiming that American lives could have been saved if Biden had responded forcefully to the dozens of earlier Iranian attacks. Cotton tweeted that Secretary of Defense Austin should explain why more isn’t being done to deter Iran.

Similarly, Sen. Joni Ernst (R-Iowa) faulted Biden for not imposing sanctions on Iran and for his “flawed” nuclear agreement. She pointed out that Iranian proxies have attacked U.S. servicemembers nearly 80 times, and criticized the Biden administration’s “doctrine of appeasement,” which, Ernst pointed out, has “emboldened our adversaries” and cost American lives.

Of course, Biden, whose leniency and advocacy of Iran mirrors that of his former boss, Barack Obama, justified his response by insisting he doesn’t want to provoke the terrorist-sponsoring country. “Make no mistake, the United States does not, does not, I emphasize, seek conflict with Iran,” Biden said Friday. “But be prepared for us to act forcefully to protect our people.”

I’ll believe it when I see it.

DAVID WOOD: The Truth About Ramadan~Vatican Says Ramadan Is Important for Christians, Too?

Ramadan is typically described as a month-long fast. Yet the entire month is filled with feasting. Indeed, binge eating during Ramadan is causing a health crisis in Muslim countries. So why are gluttony and excess portrayed as a strict discipline and self-control in Islam? Is there a spiritual component to Ramadan? David Wood explores the issue and uncovers the disturbing truth about Islam's holiest month.

Christians of all traditions were likely surprised on Friday when the Vatican’s Dicastery for Interreligious Dialogue issued a message to Muslims for Ramadan, the Islamic month of fasting by day and gorging by night. The fact that such a message was sent was not a surprise, as interreligious dialogue has for many years been far more important to the hierarchy of the Catholic Church and other Churches than actually spreading the Gospel message. The surprising aspect was that in the message, which was entitled “Christians and Muslims: Promoters of Love and Friendship,” the Vatican asserted that Ramadan is important not just for Muslims, but for Christians as well. Christians, were you aware of this?

The message was signed by Cardinal Miguel Ángel Ayuso Guixot, a Spanish prelate who is the prefect of the Interreligious Dialogue Dicastery, and Msgr. Indunil Kodithuwakku Janakaratne Kankanamalage, a Sri Lankan who is its secretary, is addressed to “Dear Muslim brothers and sisters.” It immediately states, “The month of Ramadan is important for you, but also for your friends, neighbors, and fellow believers of other religions, in particular Christians.” Can Cardinal Guixot or Msgr. Kankanamalage give us any examples of Christians who observe Ramadan, or who think it important?

Certainly, there are many Christians who believe for various reasons that it is very important to build good relationships with Muslims, but one would be hard-pressed to find any who actually join in the fasting-and-gorging month, just as it would be difficult to find any Muslims who observe the Christian fasting season of Lent. Although there is always some overlap, particularly among people in mixed marriages, it is rare for people of one religious tradition to follow the practices of another. The Vatican is so anxious to reach out in friendship to Muslims that it is massively overstating its case. That’s not to say that most Christians have a negative view of Ramadan. They just aren’t thinking about it at all.

The Vatican message, however, goes on to assert that during Ramadan, “existing friendships are reinforced and others are built, paving the way for more peaceful, harmonious and joyful coexistence. This corresponds to the divine will for our communities, and indeed for all the members and communities of the one human family.” Gee, that’s swell, but even Guixot and Kankanamalage seem to realize that it’s a bit pollyannish, as they go on to assure us that “we are aware, dear friends, that peaceful and friendly coexistence faces many challenges and threats: extremism, radicalism, polemics, disputes, and religiously motivated violence.”

You can say that again. In fact, much of that religiously motivated violence comes from people who are observing the month of Ramadan that the Vatican is busy celebrating. In April 2022, the Palestinian Authority’s Supreme Sharia Judge, Mahmoud Al-Habbash, declared that “Ramadan is not a month of laziness but rather a month of activity, of effort, and of hard work, and as it also was in the life of the Prophet, a month of jihad, conquest, and victory.” The jihad he had in mind was violence against unbelievers, and not getting the kids to school on time, as a Muslim cleric in India, Maulana Bashir Ahmad Khaki, made clear in 2018: “Ramadan is the pious month of ‘Jihad-o-Qital’ (Jihad and killing). Those who attain martyrdom while waging Jihad, doors of heaven remain open.” In 2012, a jihad group in Bulgaria explained, “Ramadan is a month of holy war and death for Allah. It is a month for fighting the enemies of Allah and God’s messenger, the Jews and their American facilitators.” Or as the Vatican put it, “The threats are fueled by a culture of hate.”

Related: Catholic Cardinal Opens ‘Abrahamic Family House’ With Muslims Praying Prayers Denouncing Jews and Christians

The Vatican did not, however, explain exactly where that “culture of hate” was coming from. Instead, it pretended that both sides had an equal responsibility to seek peace: “We need, then, to find the most appropriate ways of countering and overcoming such a culture, enhancing instead, enhancing love and friendship, in particular between Muslims and Christians, due to the bonds that unite us.” Terrific. But did Guixot and Kankanamalage ever pause to ponder why such statements always and in every case come from the Christian side of the interreligious dialogue with Muslims, not from the Muslim side? Where are the Muslim leaders exhorting their coreligionists to reach out to Christians and other non-Muslims in friendship, and to reject the understanding of Ramadan that includes violence?

The Vatican’s naïve and willfully ignorant Ramadan message only highlights the fact that in this as in virtually all other cases, the friendly outreach to other religious traditions is decidedly one-sided.

Syria: Iranian drone kills U.S. contractor & FIVE U.S. SERVICEMEN

Why do we still have troops in Syria? What is their purpose, other than to line the pockets of the military-industrial complex?

“American Contractor Killed in Drone Attack on Base in Syria,” by Eric Schmitt, New York Times, March 23, 2023:

WASHINGTON — A U.S. contractor was killed and another contractor and five U.S. service members were injured when a self-destructing drone struck a maintenance facility on a coalition base in northeast Syria on Thursday, the Pentagon said in a statement.

U.S. intelligence analysts concluded that the drone was of “Iranian origin,” according to the Pentagon statement, which said the attack took place near Hasaka at 1:38 p.m. local time.

In response, at President Biden’s direction, Defense Secretary Lloyd J. Austin III said he ordered airstrikes against facilities in eastern Syria used by groups affiliated with Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps, or I.R.G.C.

“The airstrikes were conducted in response to today’s attack as well as a series of recent attacks against coalition forces in Syria by groups affiliated with the I.R.G.C.,” Mr. Austin said in a statement released late Thursday.

“These precision strikes are intended to protect and defend U.S. personnel,” the statement said. “The United States took proportionate and deliberate action intended to limit the risk of escalation and minimize casualties.”

United States Air Force F-15E fighter jets attacked a munition warehouse, a control building and an intelligence-collection site, two senior U.S. military officials said.

The U.S. airstrikes killed eight pro-Iran fighters in eastern Syria, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, a group in Britain that tracks the conflict through contacts in Syria.

Rami Abdurrahman, its director, said on Friday that the strikes had targeted a weapons depot in the city of Deir Ezzor, killing six fighters, and that two other fighters had been killed by strikes in the desert of Mayadeen and near the town of Bukamal. A United States official confirmed the locations of the American retaliatory strikes, but not the casualty reports.

“As President Biden has made clear, we will take all necessary measures to defend our people and will always respond at a time and place of our choosing,” Mr. Austin said. “No group will strike our troops with impunity.”

The attacks are likely to stoke tensions with Iran, which Biden administration officials call the largest security threat in the Middle East.

“Iran’s vast and deeply resourced proxy forces spread instability throughout the region and threaten our regional partners,” Gen. Michael E. Kurilla, the head of the military’s Central Command, said in testimony to the House Armed Services Committee earlier on Thursday….

Church of Sweden archbishop screams ‘Allahu akbar,’ says Muhammad is prophet, successor says Muslims welcome to join

This is the last gasp of a dying church (and a dying civilization). A culture that has no identity of its own and welcomes those who wish to conquer and subjugate it is a culture that will soon be a matter of history. These two archbishops are signposts on the way to the demise of the Church of Sweden, and of Sweden itself as a non-Muslim country.

“The Archbishop: Muslims can join the Church of Sweden,” translated from “Ärkebiskopen: Muslimer kan vara med i Svenska kyrkan,” Samnytt, January 26, 2023 (thanks to L.):

Outgoing Archbishop Antje Jackelén received harsh criticism for her religious relativist stance, not least in relation to the controversial religious ideology of Islam. She adopted the Swedish variant of “Allahu akbar” as her language of choice and said she could not put the peaceful healer Jesus before the warrior and mass murderer Muhammad as a prophet. Now Jackelen’s successor goes a step further and welcomes all Muslims to the Church of Sweden.

Martin Modéus has been appointed as the new archbishop in the Church of Sweden. For more conservative and traditional Christians, it is out of the frying pan and into the fire after eight years with the controversial Antje Jackelén. In a debate article in the left-liberal Dagens Nyheter, Modeus presents himself as the heir and further developer of the religious relativism for which his predecessors became famous and criticized.

The fact that Modéus is speaking out in this way is caused, among other things, by the fact that the Center Party’s supposed new party leader, Muharrem Demirok, who has already been in several storms before taking office, has also declared that he is a Muslim but also a member of the Church of Sweden. Many have reacted against this, but Modéus takes the opposite stance – being a Muslim and not a Christian does not constitute an obstacle to being part of the Church of Sweden, he believes.

That the Christian way of “relating to faith” would be a requirement in the Church of Sweden, Modéus emphatically opposes – all ways, even the Muslim, are equally legitimate and needed in the country’s churches.

A requirement to be a Christian in order to be part of a Christian congregation is regarded by the new archbishop as a recent “ideologization of the concept of religion.” However, the claim is contradicted by many who believe that what is new and ideological instead is the idea that it is just as well to believe in Allah and Muhammad in a Christian congregation as in Jehovah and Jesus.

In the Church of Sweden, under the leadership of Archbishop Martin Modéus, “you define what you believe in based on your own terms.” According to Modéus, the fact that the Church of Sweden receives a diversity of non-Christian beliefs “is an asset.”

Modéus wants the country’s churches to function more as clubs for general social community than places where a common Christian belief is shared. In this, he claims to have been inspired by one of the ideologues of Dagens Nyheter’s editorial page, Björn Wiman.

The Church of Sweden has lost many members. This is due, among other things, to the fact that more and more Swedes have adopted a secular outlook on life, but in many cases also to the fact that you do not recognize yourself in the “left-wing church” it has turned into, which nowadays functions more as one of the Social Democrats’ many corporative legs in Swedish society.

However, many Swedes remain members, by birth and unfettered habit, that they have not come to terms with leaving or are simply not aware that they are members of something they never actively chose to join. Even outspoken critics retain often their membership in order not to lose the right to vote in church elections and thus the opportunity to influence the future direction of the Church of Sweden.

However, the Church of Sweden needs new members to replace those who fall away, and the large group of immigrant Muslims is therefore attractive. According to Modéus, it is by opening the church doors to them that you can still claim to be a “people’s church.” That the church should be something only for believers or cultural Christians is “far too narrow,” the archbishop asserts in the DN article.

Biden’s handlers accused of planning to train, equip and deploy Palestinian terrorists in Judea and Samaria

The Biden administration is either dangerously naive or worse. It is presenting this plan under the pretext of helping to curb terrorism in Judea and Samaria, yet ZOA says this “unconscionable and illegal plan” would aid Palestinian jihadists. Meanwhile, another report has exposed the U.S. State Department’s funding of an anti-Netanyahu Leftist group that is behind the chaotic protests in Israel. What exactly is the motivation of the Biden administration?

A news article by Tablet Magazine stated America’s most recent plan:

Incredibly, the U.S. is now proposing to take advantage of its ally’s political weakness by standing up a potential 5,000-man Palestinian terror army that would ostensibly fight terrorism in the West Bank in place of the IDF.

Washington, D.C.’s latest bout of Mideast pyromania began with U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken’s visit to Ramallah at the end of January, right after a Palestinian terrorist shot dead seven Israelis outside a synagogue in Neve Yaakov.

The key words are “ostensibly fight terrorism in the West Bank in place of the IDF,” which puts a different spin on America’s possible intent from that of the ZOA below. But what would make the Biden administration actually think its plan could possibly work to bring Palestinians to “fight terrorism”? Given the administration’s consistent anti-Israel stance, does it really believe that arming, training, and deploying Palestinians could be a trusted strategy to “fight terrorism,” rather than help perpetuate it?

In reality, such a plan would greatly empower the Palestinian “resistance.” History bears out the fact that the Palestinians do now want and never wanted peace. They aim to obliterate Israel from the River to the Sea, as is stated in the founding Charters of all the major Palestinian organizations, and they’re watching closely as America further positions itself as their ally rather than the ally of Israel.

Surely America should know that Israel cannot allow such a plan. The IDF, in fact, beefed up troops in Samaria last month in response to the escalating violence.

“ZOA: Stop Biden/Blinken/Amr Unconscionable Plan to Establish Army of 5,000 Palestinian-Arab Terrorists plus U.S./Foreign Forces,” Zionist Organization of America, March 17, 2023:

The Zionist Organization of America (ZOA) denounces, in the strongest possible terms, the Biden Administration’s unconscionable, illegal plan to provide commando training in Jordan to 5,000 Palestinian-Arab army of terrorists or future terrorists; and to then equip and deploy this Palestinian-Arab commando army in Judea/Samaria, along with foreign and U.S. forces.

The administration’s horrific, frightening, dangerous plan also requires Israel “to sharply curtail IDF counterterror operations.” U.S. security coordinator Lieutenant General (LTG) Michael Fenzel, who is currently responsible for training Palestinian Authority (PA) police in Judea and Samaria, proposed training the new 5,000-strong commando army, and deploying foreign forces, including U.S. military forces, on the ground.

Thus, under the Biden administration’s plan, Israel would be restricted from defending innocent Israelis from terrorists; and much of Judea/Samaria would become a “safe haven” for terrorists to retreat to and be celebrated after perpetrating murderous terror attacks in Israel, with no consequences.

Moreover, American and other foreign forces on the ground would become sitting ducks, subject to Palestinian-Arab terror attacks. American and foreign soldiers would also become human shields, who block Israel from going after the terrorists, lest foreign forces be caught in the crossfire. Further, the PA will want foreign forces to include Iranians, thereby introducing even more terror into the region…..

Just in case you’re not celebrating diversity enthusiastically enough yet, here is more reason to start waving those diversity pom-poms: a new bill in Massachusetts would give Muslims privileged status. Here we see it yet again: “diversity, equity and inclusion” efforts are inherently and in always and every case a gateway to the preferential treatment of the Left’s favored groups.

“Islam must dominate, and not be dominated,” said Hassan al-Banna, the founder of the Muslim Brotherhood, and the old jihadi would be mighty pleased with these recent developments in Massachusetts. In line with the fact that Islamic texts and teachings frequently exhort Muslims to subjugate Infidels (who must be made to “pay the jizya with willing submission and feel subdued,” according to Qur’an 9:29), and never envisions the two living as equals under secular law, some Muslims in the Bay State are working with their Leftist allies toward achieving a privileged position that other groups do not enjoy.

Focus On Western Islamism (FWI) reported Wednesday that “the Massachusetts state legislature is considering a bill that would promote and privilege the participation of Muslims in state politics.” That seems innocuous enough on its face, but actually, this bill would require the state to do for Muslims what it does for no other group. The bill, which is entitled “An Act promoting the civil rights and inclusion of American Muslims in the commonwealth,” would “establish a commission charged with promoting the participation of Muslims in the governance of the state.” Yes, Muslims are specifically named.

This commission would “identify and recommend qualified American Muslims for appointive positions at all levels of government, including boards and commissions, as the commission considers necessary and appropriate.” No such commissions exist for Jews, Christians, Hindus, Buddhists, atheists, or anyone else. Hassan al-Banna would be delighted.

FWI notes that the executive director of the Massachusetts chapter of the Hamas-linked Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), Tahirah Amatul-Wadud, “posted a celebratory tweet about the introduction of the bill.” It shows Amatul-Wadud standing next to one of the sponsors of the bill, Massachusetts State Senator James B. Eldridge (D-Islamopandering), despite the fact Amatul-Wadud has served as the lawyer for Muslims of America (MOA), “which has sent its members to Pakistan for extremist indoctrination and military training.” Nothing to be concerned about in that, right?

Amatul-Wadud has also “promoted the conspiracy theories put forth by MOA’s founder, Pakistani cleric Mubarak Ali Gilani,” retweeting an article that “claims that the terror group ISIS (and indeed, Wahhabism itself) is a creation of British intelligence, that 9/11 was an inside job, that WTC-7 was destroyed by controlled demolition, and that America was manipulated into fighting Nazi Germany and Saddam Hussein for the benefit of the Jews.” Of course! In such circles, Islamic antisemitism is never far beneath the surface.

Steve Resnicoff, director of DePaul College of Law Center for Jewish Law and Judaic Studies, stated the obvious when he called the Massachusetts bill “an unprecedented and unconstitutional effort to promote one religion, Islam, over all others,” and said that “it would clearly violate the principle of separation of church and state,” as it “calls for the creation of a government entity that would broadly endeavor to benefit the interests of Muslims.”

Related: UN Secretary-General: ‘For Well Over a Millennium, Islam’s Message of Peace Has Inspired People’

Massachusetts attorney Karen Hurvitz agrees with Resnicoff: “The proposed legislation seeking to aid Islam is unconstitutional on its face… Perhaps the proponents of this legislation are unaware of the First Amendment or its history. Perhaps they are used to the 26 countries where Islam is the official religion and where the practice of other religions is not permitted. That is not the United States.”

Not yet, anyway. But there will be more bills of this kind as the Left’s passion for diversity increasingly reveals itself as a way to get special favors and privileged status for its in-groups.

That initiative coincides neatly with the supremacist imperative of traditional Islam, which some Muslims in the West are only too happy to collaborate with Leftists in order to further. And given the fact that Islam, with its monarchical Allah exercising sole and absolute, unquestionable power, lends itself to authoritarian government.

That’s another reason why Leftists, whose taste for authoritarianism is increasingly obvious, are only too happy to introduce bills of this kind and promote Islam above and beyond all other religions. In the authoritarian state toward which the Left is working, the more people who believe they have a religious obligation to obey the ruler, the better. Muhammad commands just that in the famous hadith: “You should listen to and obey your ruler even if he was an Ethiopian (black) slave whose head looks like a raisin.” (Bukhari 9.93.7142) Perfect.

“Diversity, equity, and inclusion” is inherently and in always and every case a gateway to the preferential treatment of the Left’s favored groups.

“Massachusetts Bill Privileges Muslims in State Government,” by Dexter Van Zile, Focus On Western Islamism, March 15, 2023:

The Massachusetts state legislature is considering a bill that would promote and privilege the participation of Muslims in state politics. The bill (“An Act promoting the civil rights and inclusion of American Muslims in the commonwealth”), put forth by lawmakers from central and north Massachusetts in January, would establish a commission charged with promoting the participation of Muslims in the governance of the state. In particular, the commission would “identify and recommend qualified American Muslims for appointive positions at all levels of government, including boards and commissions, as the commission considers necessary and appropriate.”

The bill is “an unprecedented and unconstitutional effort to promote one religion, Islam, over all others,” said Steve Resnicoff, director of DePaul College of Law Center for Jewish Law and Judaic Studies. “It would clearly violate the principle of separation of church and state.”

It would be one thing if the proposed commission were intended to combat discrimination against Muslims, Resnicoff said, but that’s not the case with this bill. “Instead, it calls for the creation of a government entity that would broadly endeavor to benefit the interests of Muslims,” he said.

In addition to identifying and recommending Muslims to serve in appointive positions in the state government, the commission would also advocate for the community. Such advocacy would target leaders in the fields of business, education, health care and state and local governments. It would also “serve as a liaison between government and private interest groups” on matters of interest to the state’s Muslim community.

Members of the commission — who would serve three-year terms — would be appointed by officials including the state governor, the attorney general, and members of the state legislature. In addition to state funding, the 11-member commission would be authorized to solicit donations to cover the cost of its operations, which would include the hiring of a paid executive director, staffers, and volunteers.

sheet promoting the bill’s passage says a commission is necessary because the perspective and experiences of American Muslims “are often absent in policy conversations on issues that directly impact the community.”

The proponents of the bill, Senator James B. Eldridge (D-Middlesex and Worcester) and Representative Vanna Howard (D-17th Middlesex), have not responded to repeated requests for comment — including a personal visit to the Statehouse — but it appears the bill was filed with input from the Massachusetts chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR).

In February, Tahirah Amatul-Wadud, CAIR-MA’s executive director and chief legal officer, posted a celebratory tweet about the introduction of the bill. It shows Eldridge standing alongside Amatul-Wadud, an astonishing scene, given Amatul-Wadud’s professional background.

Writing in The American Spectator in 2017, Orwin Litwin reported that Amatul-Wadud, was “deeply enmeshed in one of the most dangerous extremist groups in the United States.” In addition to serving as a lawyer for the group in question, Muslims of America (MOA), which has sent its members to Pakistan for extremist indoctrination and military training, Amatul-Wadud has promoted the conspiracy theories put forth by MOA’s founder, Pakistani cleric Mubarak Ali Gilani. Litwin reports that in 2015, Amatul-Wadud “shared a Facebook post “from MOA of a long and unhinged 2014 article by Sheikh Gilani himself.”

Litwin reports that in the article Amatul-Wadud retweeted, “Gilani claims that the terror group ISIS (and indeed, Wahhabism itself) is a creation of British intelligence, that 9/11 was an inside job, that WTC-7 was destroyed by controlled demolition, and that America was manipulated into fighting Nazi Germany and Saddam Hussein for the benefit of the Jews.”

The article Amatul-Wadud promoted on Facebook declares, among other things, that “there was no need for America to go to war against Hitler. Hitler was not the enemy of America or the American people. There was a mutual animosity between Hitler and the Jews. So, the American people paid a very heavy price for fighting someone else’s war.”

CAIR-MA has not responded to repeated requests for comment on the bill from FWI.

“The proposed legislation seeking to aid Islam is unconstitutional on its face,” said Karen Hurvitz, a Massachusetts attorney who serves as legal counsel for Education Without Indoctrination, a group that fights against anti-American and anti-Israel propaganda in K-12 schools. In particular, it flies in the face of 1947 Supreme Court ruling, Everson v. Bd. Of Education which states, “The ‘establishment of religion’ clause in the First Amendment means at least this: Neither a state nor the Federal Government can … pass laws which aid one religion, aid all religions, or prefer one religion over another.”…

Efforts to elicit a response from the American Civil Liberties Union, which regularly inveighs against the influence of conservative Christians on government policy in the United States, were unsuccessful.

If you’re unfamiliar with the Red Guard instituted by Chairman Mao in China, get ready to understand it better than you ever wanted to. Critics of the sweeping transgender ideology infecting the school and medical systems have likened the ideology’s proponents to China’s Red Guard, a group of students trained to turn against their parents and other adults to usher in a brutal dictatorship. The Red Guard famously tortured its own teachers and parents in the name of the Communist cultural revolution. It was a dark and dangerous time in China for anyone who would not bow to the demands of tyrants.

A school system in Maine has instituted its own burgeoning Red Guard called the “Civil Rights Team.” This benign-sounding organization of kids is supposed to ensure that student rights are upheld. What has happened instead led to parents sounding off at the latest school board meeting to complain that the Civil Rights Team is just a bullying organization with an agenda. The Maine Wire covered the story:

Kristen Day said students affiliated with one of RSU 14’s Civil Rights Teams harassed her daughter. When her daughter refused to speak about her sexuality, two students affiliated with the club began to bully her and call her homophobic.

“They insisted she was gay because she dressed gay and listened to gay music,” Day said of her daughter, who was a 7th grader at the time of the alleged harassment.

“She was then called homophobic because she wasn’t at least bi,” Day said.

“She’s not political, but she does not want to talk about her sexuality in school,” she said.

Day went on to describe how the CRT (Is it a coincidence that their acronym mirrors Critical Race Theory?) founded by the Maine Attorney General’s office, pressured the kids into wearing pronoun pins.

Civil Rights Teams (CRTs) operate in Maine schools as a project of the Maine Attorney General’s Office, and the nominal goal of the student organizations is to reduce “bias-motivated” bullying and harassment in schools.

Day said her daughter was harassed about her sexuality by students affiliated with the school’s CRT under the pretext of opening a discussion about student sexuality.

CRT members also created surveys for their peers to take with questions about sexuality and gender, and they pressured them to don “pronoun” pins, Day said.

Windham Superintendent Christopher Howell, instead of investigating the allegations, wrote an email denying it ever happened.

“In short, the focus of [Civil Rights] teams is on helping to create a safe school environment for all,” said Howell.

“We are not aware of the Civil Rights Team being involved in the situation you’re referring to,” he said.

Using students to pressure other students into “group-think” is right out of the Commie playbook. It is not only disturbing that the Attorney General of Maine is complicit in doing this, but it should be a shocking wake-up call to parents nationwide. This threat of Communism is real. It is happening right now in this country. The question is, what are you going to do about it? If left unchecked this only ends one way: the same way it ended in China. NPR reported the sad reality in China as a result of the cultural revolution.

Students beating up their teachers was a shocking reversal in the Confucian society, where educators were once held in the highest esteem.

Now, the teachers who were victimized in the Cultural Revolution are mostly in their 70s and 80s, and the Red Guards have said they wanted to apologize while they still have the chance.

Last October, Chen met with his former classmates and teachers and apologized for the violence he presided over.

“Looking back on it, I believe their human rights and dignity were trampled upon,” says Chen, shown here in the courtyard of his Beijing residence.

“Teachers were made to stand onstage, bow their heads and confess their crimes,” he says. “Looking back on it, I believe their human rights and dignity were trampled upon.”

In fact, Chen says, the entire Cultural Revolution was illegal because it violated China’s Constitution — though he acknowledges that criticizing the movement as unconstitutional is a way to make his point without being silenced by the authorities.

It’s hard to apologize when the atrocities meted out by the Red Guard left family members without even the face of a loved one beaten to death by the enraged student army.

Related: Arizona Christian University Files Federal Civil Rights Lawsuit Against Bigoted School Board

Meanwhile, in January, another Red Guard leader, Song Binbin, apologized and bowed before a statue of her school’s vice principal, Bian Zhongyun, who was beaten to death. Song is the daughter of Song Renqiong, another leading revolutionary.

Song Binbin did not admit to taking part in the beating. And she did not invite Bian’s widower, 92-year-old Wang Jingyao, to hear the apology.

So I went to Wang’s home and asked him for his reaction.

Wang recalls that Bian was beaten so badly that her corpse’s face was completely black from the injuries.

“The Red Guards were simply executioners,” he said. “Their current apologies are to absolve them of responsibility for their crimes.”

Maine schools are playing with fire and should disband the Civil Rights Teams immediately. Students should be in charge of nothing. They’re too young, too impressionable, and too immature to be given any power over their peers or teachers. Yet the trans ideology gives a massive amount of power to untrained, emotionally stunted children who are bound to wield it unfairly as history shows.

Children are not adults and should not be treated as such or given that responsibility. They don’t know what’s best for them or anyone else around them. They need our help and guidance. It is the sickest philosophy that demands that we follow the lead of our children. Children will brutalize one another if not properly supervised and guided. Anyone who has read Lord of the Flies (or has more than one child) knows this to be true.

People who believe the “children will lead the way” have no grasp of history, no concept of evil or of reality. They need to be kept far from the reins of power, starting with Minnesota Lt. Gov. Peggy Flanagan — who may be lacking a brainstem.

Prestigious American Heritage Private School Raises $10,000 for Radical Mosque

High tuition costs, but money to spare for terror and bigotry.

American Heritage Schools (AHS) are a pair of high-priced college preparatory schools located in South Florida, with campuses in Broward and Palm Beach Counties. AHS calls itself the “#1 School In Florida.” It boasts the “Highest Number of National Merit Scholars” – 175 for the Class of 2023, 16 Presidential Scholars, and 168 AP/Honors courses with a “94% rate on all AP exams.” Yet, for a school(s) that would appear so smart, it just did something awfully foolish and alarming. It bragged about how one of its clubs raised $10,000 for an entity linked to terror and bigotry. If the educational institution has any integrity, it will demand the money be given back.

On March 8th, the AHS Broward campus, which is located in Plantation, proudly posted on its Facebook page about how its Arabic Club organized a Ramadan food drive to raise money for the Islamic Foundation of South Florida, a radical mosque based in Sunrise. It stated, “The Arabic Club organized a food drive for the day of Ramadan. Led by Mr. Jose Bronca, club advisor, and Mohamed Hachem, club president, the Arabic Club made the Heritage community aware of the needs of the Islamic Foundation of South Florida (IFSF)… Many people donated money to the foundation, raising $10,000. Thank you to everyone that supported this drive!”

This was shocking, given IFSF’s disturbing history.

The former Youth Director and Events Coordinator for IFSF is local Muslim activist Abdur Rahman al-Ghani. Al-Ghani believes Jews are inherently wicked. His Facebook posts have described Jews as “the children of Satan” and “demonic.” About homosexuals, he has written, “If you are gay, you are not a Muslim, you are a stone-cold kaffir outside the fold of Islam. No one is born gay, it is a sickness…” He has posted a photo of Hamas militants with the caption (in part), “We love u Hamas. U are the real hero.” He has labeled the US the “World’s Number One Terrorist Organization” and wrote that Islam “will overtake the World in numbers.”

In April 2014, IFSF hosted a talk by Mazen Mokhtar, a former administrator for the now-defunct al-Qaeda financing and recruitment site, Jihad in Chechnya (qoqaz.net). The site was produced by Azzam Publications, named for the mentor of Osama bin Laden and co-founder of al-Qaeda, Abdullah Yusuf Azzam. Mokhtar has described suicide bombings as “an effective method of attacking the enemy and continuing jihad.” About Hamas, he wrote, “One of the reasons of my support for Hamas is that they have very high moral standards…” and “the operations of HAMAS are heroic…”

Of course, Abdur Rahman al-Ghani may no longer be involved with IFSF, and the Mazen Mokhtar speech was nearly a decade ago. However, recent events at IFSF and affiliations of the mosque demonstrate that the radical identity of IFSF is entirely unchanged.

Last month, IFSF hosted an event for the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), a group with financial and foundational ties to Hamas. In December 2022, a sermon was given at IFSF by Shafayat Mohamed, an imam who has been thrown off several Broward boards for his anti-gay rhetoric and whose mosque, Darul Uloom, has been a haven for high-profile al-Qaeda operatives. In June 2022, IFSF hosted a speech by a representative from Islamic Relief, a group that has been banned by a number of nations. And in March 2022, IFSF hosted an event for the Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA), a group with a variety of links to South Asian terror.

IFSF and its children’s school, Salah Tawfik Elementary & Middle School (STEMS), are currently members of the South Florida Muslim Federation (SFMF), an umbrella organization for South Florida’s many extremist Muslim groups, including all of the entities mentioned already and a number of radical mosques beyond IFSF and Darul Uloom.

One of IFSF’s fellow Federation mosques is Masjid Jamaat Al-Mumineen (MJAM), which promotes on its website material: calling Jews and Christians “enemies,” sanctioning domestic violence against women, glorifying female genital mutilation, and mandating death punishments for homosexuals. In September 2021, IFSF hosted a talk by MJAM’s imam, Izhar Khan. In May 2011, the FBI accused Khan of plotting with members of his family to help finance the Taliban.

Another SFMF mosque, the Islamic Center of Boca Raton (ICBR), was founded by a website designer for Hamas and a former assistant to a leader of Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ). In May 2021, IFSF hosted an event with ICBR founding Imam Ibrahim Dremali and IFSF Imam Sultan Mohammed, titled ‘LET’S TALK PALESTINE.’ One day prior, Dremali lauded Hamas and PIJ, saying “The only people right now in Gaza fighting are Hamas and Jihad… Don’t worry. Victory is coming soon.” Dremali also implored people to read Protocols of the Elders of Zion and said, “If the Arab leaders open the borders for Palestine… the Jews they’ll be inside that ocean.”

Following the August 2020 explosion that devastated Beirut, Lebanon, leaving hundreds dead, thousands injured, and over $15 billion in property damage, the Arabic Club of American Heritage Schools sent two sizable containers filled with clothes, food and medicine to Beirut. It was a legitimate and commendable act, and the group was praised for doing so.

However, what was neither legitimate nor commendable was for the club to raise money for the extremist IFSF. Given the mosque’s numerous links to terrorism and bigotry, not a dime raised was warranted, let alone $10,000. Advisor Jose Bronca and AHS failed to exercise due diligence in investigating the insidious nature of their funds’ recipient. As a result, donors were duped into thinking their money would go to a worthy cause and institution.

The AHS slogan is “Knowledge, Integrity, Compassion.” AHS and its Arabic Club should live up to this motto and show ‘integrity’ by owning up to their mistake and immediately demanding that the money be returned. Providing funds to such an organization as IFSF is both immoral and a threat to security.

Israel: Palestinians destroy ancient ruins, pave road over First Temple relics, burial caves

Back in December, when he visited an historic site dating back to the First Temple period, where pillars still stand and the remains of King Herod’s “giant theater from the Second Temple period” can be seen, MK Rabbi Amichai Eliyahu, who is now Israel’s Heritage Minister, warned that Arabs were “erasing history” in ancient Samaria (Sebastia). Evidence was also found of destruction and looting by Arab rioters, as well as buildings erected by the Palestinian Authority illegally on the sites of ancient ruins, and “a giant flag pole upon which they flew a PLO flag.”

As Israel is justifiably being called upon to intervene to preserve its ancient history, Israel will once again be scrutinized for any action it takes. It is imperative that Israel move to protect these archeological sites, as no one else will, least of all the anti-Israel UN, which has not issued an open rebuke to the Palestinians despite the fact that UNESCO is charged with preserving cultural and historic sites.

UNESCO is deeply biased. In 2014, it described the Palestinian village Battir in Samaria as a “world heritage site in the State of Palestine,” under the name “Battir – Land of Olives and Vines — Cultural Landscape of Southern Jerusalem.” Reminder: there is no such thing as a Palestinian state.

In 2017 the UN Security Council unanimously adopted a special resolution to protect cultural heritage and the “cultural memory of humanity.” So what about Jewish history in Samaria? In 2019, the Trump administration filed a notice to withdraw from UNESCO; Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu followed. The reason was UNESCO’s anti-Israel bias, such as criticizing Israel’s so-called “occupation” of East Jerusalem, and “naming ancient Jewish sites as Palestinian heritage sites and granting full membership to Palestine in 2011.”

It behooves the Palestinian “resistance” movement to try to erase Jewish history from Samaria as it tries to strengthen its invented claim to the Jewish homeland.

“Ancient ruins obliterated: PA Arabs pave road over First Temple relics, burial caves,” Israel National News, March 14, 2023:

Arabs living in Judea and Samaria have been destroying ancient ruins in the area for years, but now, according to Jews monitoring the situation, the destruction is being taken to a new level, with archaeological remains wrecked and a road actually paved over them.

The Samaria National Park in Sebastia has frequently been the target of nationalist vandals seeking to erase the site’s Jewish history, which dates back millennia. Sebastia was once called Shomron (Samaria) and served as the capital city of the ancient Kingdom of Israel. Many ancient remains can be seen there, including pillars dating back to the First Temple period and a giant amphitheater from the days of King Herod in the Second Temple period.

It is located just a few miles to the north-west of Shechem (Nablus), however, making it relatively difficult for Israelis to access and easy for local Arabs to reach. This week, members of the Shomrim Al Hanetzach (Protecting Eternity) organization, accompanied by local council members, were shocked to discover that heavy machinery had been moved there and a road paved right in the heart of the archaeological site, along a route extending from Area B a further 400 yards into Area C.

In order to pave the road, a wall dating back to Herodian times was destroyed and burial caves dating back to the Second Temple period were smashed, looted, and obliterated.

Furthermore, people believed to be officials from the Palestinian Authority had flung the carasses of pigs into the ancient graves in an attempt to deter Israeli archaeologists from entering the area and revealing the extent of the destruction wrought. Indeed, the Palestinian Authority has been building infrastructure in the area for the past few months, destroying archaeological remains in the process.

Samaria Regional Council Head Yossi Dagan was horrified at this latest development and appealed to the relevant authorities to intervene. “This is an attempt to systematically and decisively destroy any connection between the State of Israel and the Jewish People, and one of our most important cultural and historic sites,” he said. “These are unique remains from the period of the ancient Kingdom of Israel. It’s a disgrace that Jewish history is being destroyed in such a manner, and under the very noses of the Israeli government,” he added.

“Anyone who loves Israel and who cares about cultural history must demand an immediate halt to the damage being done at the site,” Dagan continued. “A military guard should be placed around the clock in order to protect this cultural site which is being systematically and barbarically destroyed, day by day, by this terrorist entity that calls itself the Palestinian Authority. “….

Iran warns Europe: Designating Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps a terrorist group ‘declaration of war’

Iran’s threat presents a big dilemma for Western leaders, as Iran is the most powerful Shia country in the world, and Western leaders are still willfully blind to the fact that one cannot separate politics from mainstream Islam. Sharia is divine law. For mainstream Muslims, no law in the world transcends it. The Sharia is both religious and political. But if one believes that Islam is a religion of peace and not a political system, then how can one declare the world’s most prominent Shia regime’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps is a terrorist group? Particularly when the IRGC serves the function of defender of the Islamic Republic.

‘National Decision’ Declaration On Iran’s Islamic Revolution Day: ‘We Warn The European Countries Not To Make An Historic Mistake By Declaring The IRGC Terrorist – Because We [Would] See This As A Declaration Of War On The Iranian Nation; In Such A Case, They Will Be Forced To Meet The IRGC At Strategic Straits And In Difficult Regions,’” MEMRI, March 13, 2023:

The Iranian regime mouthpiece Kayhan published, on February 12, 2023, the text of the “National Decision” declaration that was read out at the end of the Islamic Revolution Day march in Tehran the previous day. The declaration was featured on the front page, next to coverage of the marches across the country.

Kayhan wrote: “Yesterday, 44 years after the victory of the Islamic Revolution, the people took to the streets chanting ‘Death to America’ more gloriously than ever, and showed more clearly than before that they love [Supreme] Leader [Ali Khamenei] and the revolution.”

The National Decision declaration glorified the Quran and the two leaders of Iran’s Islamic Revolution – Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, the founder of the revolution, and his successor Ali Khamenei, Iran’s Supreme Leader. Both of them, it said, had restored the grandeur of Islam as rightful leader of humanity, a task undertaken by Iran. It reiterated absolute acceptance of Khamenei’s leadership, and his many acts of grace in the face of those participating in the widescale civil protests against him and his regime in the past months. Emphasizing hostility towards the “Satanic front” – i.e. the West, led by the U.S. – and its culture and liberal values, particularly with regard to women, it expressed support for the resistance front’s struggle against Israel and against the Arab countries that are Iran’s rivals, and for “strengthening Iran’s strategic depth.” The National Decision also included a warning to the European countries not to designate Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) as a terrorist organization, and threatened the West with operations in “strategic straits” and other regions.

The following is a translation of the Iranian regime’s National Decision declaration:

“Praise and thanks be to God, who brought the Quran to light up our path and the great blessing of the Prophet of Mercy [Mohammad] and his supporters [the Shi’ites] to guide us in passing through the darkness of ignorance, so that we will be able to actualize the good and desirable life of sacrifice to the Kingdom of God, which brings human happiness. [All] this is by grasping the strong rope and turning to the guides of revelation [i.e. the founder of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, and his successor Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei].

“With endless gratitude that at the height of modern ignorance, when the world has become full of regimes of heresy, of polytheism, and of tyranny, we are privileged to be present in the era of the great Khomeini, the reviver of the pure Islam and the awakener of the people who descend into sin, and in the era of the great man [Khamenei] from the same seminary as the wise elder [Khomeini], the candle of whose existence warms, like the blazing sun, the existence of the oppressed and barefoot, and who led to the increasing authority of Islamic Iran, and instilled disappointment in the camp of the arrogance [the West, led by the U.S.].

“The school of pure Islam that gives life [i.e. the Shi’ite Islamic Revolution] was trapped in the damage of ignorance of history and caught up in misinterpretations and misperceptions that were sometimes specific, revived itself by virtue of the guidance of the enlightened elder [Khomeini], and [continues to do so] today by virtue of the leadership of the Supreme Leader of the Muslims of the world [i.e. Khamenei]. We owe the continuation of the glorious Islamic revolution and Iran’s stable peace and security to the struggle and heroic deeds of the martyrs [during] the Iran-Iraq war, to the martyrs who defended ‘the holy places’ [i.e. the Iranian soldiers sent to Syria], particularly the commander of hearts, the martyr Haj Qassem Soleimani [the late IRGC Qods Force commander killed by the Americans in January 2020], to the martyrs [working in] health and security, and to the patience of their families. We believe that in the second phase of the revolution, the new foundations of the great Islamic civilization are being laid by emphasizing the discourse of the promised happiness that has no substitute and that grants identity.

“Now, on Revolution Day, after [44 years] of the victory of the Islamic Revolution, with the motto ‘Iran is strong, 44 years of honor,’ at the end of the national and glorious march of today that is an expression of the coalescence of determination and unity of the word and solidarity of the Muslim nation of Iran, we declare loudly, with ‘Allah akbar [God is great], Khamenei is the leader,’ the following:

“We, the nation of velaya [i.e. the rule of the jurisprudent, Khamenei], consider him the most precious legacy of the Imam Khomeini. Today, more than ever, the light of his existence is difficult for Satans, bats, and people of darkness and ignorance…..

China, Russia and Iran hold joint naval drills in Gulf of Oman, NSC’s Kirby isn’t concerned

Once again, the Biden Administration is factoring itself out of a critical global event.

With Russia demonstrating its determination by threatening to use nuclear weapons, along with its suspension of a nuclear arms control treaty and its threat to resume nuclear tests, there’s a big reason to be concerned. Add to that the fact that Iran has issued a threat that designating its Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps as a terrorist group will be seen as an act of war. And that China just brokered a groundbreaking deal that saw Iran and Saudi Arabia resume ties. Biden’s America remains as clueless as ever and has now descended to the role of a global jester.

The threat of a world war is real. Meanwhile, Kirby downplays the China-Russia-Iran deadly alliance that is holding joint military naval drills in the Gulf of Oman. Let’s also keep in mind Iran’s determination to obliterate Israel and China’s ambition to invade Taiwan.

Meanwhile, Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) also conducted military drills ahead of its call for a third intifada:

Speaking after large-scale military drills were held in the northern Gaza Strip on Monday, Abu Hamza threatened that “the Islamic Jihad will cause the stupid enemy to be worn down by launching rockets in its direction, since the organization has many other means of warfare that will hurt the enemy.”

Will Kirby claim that PIJ conducting drills is merely routine, too?

“China, Russia, Iran hold joint naval drills in the Gulf of Oman,” Associated Press, March 15, 2023:

BEIJING (AP) — Naval forces from China, Iran and Russia — countries at odds with the United States — are staging joint drills in the Gulf of Oman this week, China’s Defense Ministry said Tuesday.

Other countries are also taking part in the “Security Bond-2023” exercises, the ministry said without giving details. Iran, Pakistan, Oman and the United Arab Emirates all have coastline along the waterbody lying at the mouth of the strategic Persian Gulf.

“This exercise will help deepen practical cooperation between the participating countries’ navies … and inject positive energy into regional peace and stability,” the ministry statement said.

U.S. National Security Council spokesperson John Kirby said Wednesday that the White House was not concerned by the joint training exercise. Kirby said the U.S. and other nations conduct training exercises all the time and this won’t be the first time that the Russians and Chinese have trained together.

“We’re going to watch it, we’ll monitor it, obviously, to make sure that there’s no threat resulting from this training exercise to our national security interests or those of our allies and partners in the region,” Kirby said on CNN. “But nations train. We do it all the time. We’ll watch it as best we can.”

The exercises scheduled for Wednesday through Sunday come amid heightened tensions between the U.S. and China over a range of issues, including China’s refusal to criticize Moscow over its invasion of Ukraine and continuing support for the Russian economy.

The U.S. and its allies have condemned the invasion, imposed punishing economic sanctions on Russia and supplied Ukraine with defensive arms. Iran and the U.S. have been adversaries since the founding of the Islamic Republic in 1979 and the taking of U.S. diplomats as hostages.

China has dispatched the guided missile destroyer Nanning to take part in the drills centered on search and rescue at sea and other non-combat missions. China maintains its only foreign military base, complete with a navy pier, in the Horn of Africa country of Djibouti, located just across the Gulf of Oman.

The three countries held similar drills last year and in 2019, underscoring China’s growing military and political links with nations that have been largely shunned by the U.S. and its partners.

Last week, China hosted talks between Iran and its chief Middle Eastern rival Saudi Arabia that resulted in an agreement between them Friday to restore full diplomatic relations after seven years of tensions…….

On Sept. 22, 2011, Linda Sarsour tweeted: “shariah law is reasonable and once you read into the details it makes a lot of sense. People just know the basics.” Her position didn’t change over time. On May 12, 2015, she tweeted: “If you are still paying interest then Sharia Law hasn’t taken over America. #justsaying.” And on April 10, 2016, Sarsour tweeted about Sharia again: “Sharia Law is misunderstood & has been pushed as some evil Muslim agenda.”

Sarsour has said that “nothing is creepier than Zionism” and has equated it with “racism.” She is an enthusiastic supporter of the “Palestinian” jihad against Israel and has even claimed that feminists cannot and must not support Israel. She has also defiantly made the ISIS hand signal. She did it while claiming that it meant more than support for ISIS, but one wonders whether all the ISIS supporters who saw the photo and were encouraged by it read her explanation, which doesn’t disavow ISIS anyway, despite the fact that the whole world at this point knows that the upraised index finger is ISIS’ favored signal. Is she anti-U.S.? Well, she has called for jihad against the U.S. government. She also called for jihad against Donald Trump.

Did Biden’s handlers know about all this? Would they have cared if they had?

“Rashida Tlaib and Biden Official Were Featured Speakers at Conference So Controversial It Lost Its Corporate Sponsor,” by Alana Goodman, Washington Free Beacon, March 9, 2023:

Democratic representative Rashida Tlaib (Mich.) and a Biden State Department appointee spoke at Harvard University’s annual Arab conference, even after the conference lost its top corporate sponsor due to the participation of anti-Semitic activist Linda Sarsour.

Tlaib and State Department special adviser Sara Minkara participated in the event, which saw speakers call to “end U.S. support for Israel.” The pair appeared as others abandoned the conference—McKinsey & Company, the white-shoe consulting firm, pulled its sponsorship of the conference after discovering Sarsour “had a history of anti-Semitic comments,” it said in a statement. The company was also scheduled to hold a recruiting session, and some of its employees were slated to speak.

The annual Harvard gathering is the “largest pan-Arab conference in North America” and draws over 1,000 attendees to “discuss key issues with the region’s most prominent politicians, business people, and civil society leaders,” according to its website.

Panelists at the conference over the weekend expressed support for the anti-Israel Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) movement, Jewish Insider reported. One speaker, American Muslims for Palestine director of development Mohamad Habehh, reportedly denounced Zionism as a “very stupid ideology” and called to “end U.S. support for Israel.”

Sarsour’s participation comes nearly a year after the insurance company Geico dropped the liberal activist as a diversity speaker due to her inflammatory comments. Sarsour, who has claimed Israel was “built on the idea that Jews are supreme to everybody else” and praised Palestinian supermarket bomber Rasmea Odeh, in 2019 stepped down as a leader with the Women’s March following controversy over her statements. But Sarsour maintained ties with some anti-Israel left-wingers, working on Muslim outreach for Sen. Bernie Sanders’s (I., Vt.) presidential campaign and attending events with Tlaib and Rep. Ilhan Omar (D., Minn.).

McKinsey’s decision to distance itself from Sarsour is also notable, given its willingness to take on controversial clients. The firm has a history of work with China, Russia, corrupt South African authorities, corporate fraudsters, and the opioid industry. McKinsey is a regular sponsor of Harvard events, including a Latinx in Finance and Technology panel last October and the African Business Conference later this month.

“When we learned late last week that a speaker at an event our recruiting team was sponsoring at Harvard University had a history of anti-Semitic comments, we immediately stepped away from the conference, canceled our in-person recruiting meeting, and withdrew two speakers from the program,” said McKinsey in a statement. “We condemn anti-Semitism in all its forms and stand for inclusion and tolerance everywhere.”…

Sarsour and Tlaib spoke about creating an “Arab MENA category on the 2030 national census” and “health access and policy,” according to an advertisement for the conference. Minkara, a Biden appointee serving as special adviser on international disability rights at the State Department, was also listed as a speaker at the event. The State Department did not respond to a request for comment.

Other speakers included Lebanese TV host Ricardo Karam, who has called for a global boycott against Israel and accused the Jewish state of committing “apartheid against the Palestinian people,” and Egyptian actor Amr Waked, who has claimed that Israel has “expansionist, apartheid, and genocide preferences.”…

China Brokers Deal Between Iran and Saudi Arabia. What’s Next?

China Brokers Deal Between Iran and Saudi Arabia. What’s Next?

On March 10, Saudi Arabia and Iran reached a diplomatic milestone when they agreed to reboot normalized ties in a deal brokered by China.

The countries unveiled their plans in a joint statement confirming that the two largest Middle Eastern nations by area will restart diplomatic relations after severing ties in 2016 when protesters stormed the kingdom’s embassy in Teheran after Saudi Arabia’s execution of a key Saudi Shi’ite cleric. The ensuing conflict between the two Islamic nations, situated less than 240 kilometers away from each other across the Persian Gulf, has long influenced politics and trade in the Middle East.

Tensions reached an alarming high in 2019 when a missile and drone assault on a key Saudi oil installation impacted half of the kingdom’s crude production. U.S. officials claimed that Iran was directly responsible for the assault, though Iran denied involvement.

Besides, both countries have been fighting what is essentially a proxy war in Yemen, where a Saudi-led coalition is targeting Iranian-backed Houthi rebels.

Saudi officials have also frequently voiced concerns over Iran’s nuclear program, saying that the kingdom would be Iran’s first target.

However, Friday’s deal would see a thaw in frosty ties, with each side reopening embassies in the other country within two months. Notably, this agreement was signed after four days of hitherto-classified talks in Beijing between top security officials from the two Middle Eastern powers. It was inked by Iran’s top security official, Ali Shamkhani, and Saudi Arabia’s national security advisor, Musaed bin Mohammed Al-Aiban. A third signatory was China’s top diplomat, Wang Yi.

Both Middle Eastern countries thanked China, as well as Iraq and Oman for arranging earlier talks in 2021 and 2022.

“Talks were advanced on the basis of the consensus of the leaders of China, Saudi Arabia, and Iran…. China will continue to play a constructive role in handling hot-spot issues, (and) demonstrate our responsibility as a major nation,” said Wang.

Wang also pointed out that the talks demonstrated that the Ukraine crisis is not the only problem in the world and that there were many issues revolving around peace and people’s livelihoods that need proper handling.

In turn, Iraq lauded the agreement, saying the move would signify a new chapter between Iran and Saudi Arabia.

“A new page has been opened in diplomatic relations between the two countries,” read a statement from the Foreign Ministry of Iraq, which has conducted various rounds of reconciliation talks for the Iranians and Saudis since 2021.

A senior Iranian security official said Friday’s agreement was backed by Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

“That is why Shamkhani traveled to China as the supreme leader’s representative,” the official told Reuters. “The establishment wanted to show that the top authority in Iran backed this decision.”

Observers contend that this plan would most likely have far-reaching ramifications throughout the Middle East and the rest of the world.

For instance, Beijing’s involvement displays China’s rising clout in the region as well as the dwindling global influence of the United States, said Jon Alterman of the Centre for Strategic and International Studies in Washington.

“The not-so-subtle message that China is sending is that while the United States is the preponderant military power in the Gulf, China is a powerful and arguably rising diplomatic presence,” he said.

China’s role in brokering the deal could have “significant implications” for Washington, said Daniel Russel, the U.S. diplomat for East Asia under former president Barack Obama.

Russel said it is rare for China to independently broker a diplomatic deal in a conflict with which it is not involved.

“The question is whether this is the shape of things to come,” he said. “Could it be a precursor to a Chinese mediation effort between Russia and Ukraine when [President Xi Jinping] visits Moscow?”

Media outlet AFP reported China as being the “godfather” of the agreement, as its influence over Iran was key to reassuring the Saudis, citing analysts.

“This may be a sign of [China’s] growing confidence in its regional presence, it may be a sign that it thinks there is space to challenge US preponderance in the Middle East. In any case, it looks like a diplomatic win for China and a significant departure from its regional approach up to this point,” senior resident Atlantic Council fellow Jonathan Fulton told AFP.

For years, China has been trying to rival America’s role as a global superpower. Friday’s agreement was a big diplomatic win for China, challenging America’s influence in the Middle East.

The mouthpiece for the Chinese Communist Party, the Global Times, praised the deal as a major indicator of Beijing’s influence as a global power, and the corresponding decline of American influence under aging Democrat President Joe Biden.

The Global Times further quoted analysts who credited Beijing with working out a deal between the Saudis and Iranians and providing stability to counter the “impact of the Russia-Ukraine conflict.”

Alluding to the deal, Joost Hiltermann of the International Crisis Group said,

The White House has come out and said that it’s quite OK with the fact that they are reestablishing diplomatic relations, but it’s also clear that the United States could never have brokered this because it cannot speak to Iran directly. So if Iran and Saudi Arabia want to go ahead with this, they needed another intermediary, and that clearly was China. Now, is the United States happy that China is starting to present — profile itself in the Middle East as a potential broker of relations and with a history where it has had huge and growing economic and commercial investments and interests and is now starting to dabble in the political sphere? I’m sure that there are some concerns about the rising power of China that is starting to manifest itself in the Middle East as well on the political level.

Regarding America’s stance, White House spokesman John Kirby said that although Washington was not directly involved in Friday’s deal, Saudi Arabia informed U.S. officials of the talks.

Kirby seemed to minimize China’s role in Friday’s development, saying that internal and external pressure, including successful Saudi deterrence against attacks from Iran or its proxies, eventually convinced Teheran to normalize relations with the Saudis.

Nonetheless, former senior U.S. and UN official Jeffrey Feltman said China’s role, rather than the reopening of embassies after six years, is the most significant aspect of the agreement.

“This will be interpreted — probably accurately — as a slap at the Biden administration and as evidence that China is the rising power,” said Feltman, a fellow at the Brookings Institution.

“China doesn’t have the capacity to play a bigger security role in the region,” commented Sanam Vakil, deputy director of the Middle East and North Africa program at Chatham House, a London think tank. But the deal to restore diplomatic ties between Iran and Saudi Arabia “foreshadows its potential to be an appealing alternative to Washington.”

Indeed, this recent deal brokered by China further adds to the communist state’s influence in the Gulf region, after authoritarian leader Xi Jinping’s meeting the leaders of Saudi Arabia and other Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) nations in December last year.

In December, Xi had urged the Gulf countries — Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates — to conduct bilateral oil and gas transactions in the Chinese yuan rather than the U.S. dollar by using the Shanghai Petroleum and Natural Gas Exchange as a platform.

Xi’s December trip marked “the birth of the petroyuan,” and China’s drive “to rewrite the rules of the global energy market,” according to Credit Suisse analyst Zoltan Pozsar, whose comments were published in a British newspaper.

Pozsar had previously said that China hoped to de-dollarize parts of the world since the U.S. dollar’s hegemonic status was used to undermine Russia. He acknowledged that Xi’s declaration was part of “a larger effort to de-dollarize” the BRICS countries (Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa) “and many other parts of the world after the weaponization of dollar foreign exchange reserves” coinciding with the onset of the Ukraine-Russia crisis last year.

Dampening American influence in the region even further has been the tense relationship between the United States and Saudi Arabia, particularly since the 2018 assassination of journalist Jamal Khashoggi, who had criticized the Saudi regime. Based on U.S. intelligence reports in 2021, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman authorized an operation to kill or capture Khashoggi.

Also, with the United States having strained ties with Iran for decades since the 1979 Iranian Revolution, it would be less able than China to arrange a deal such as last Friday’s between the Iranians and Saudis. In contrast, China has bought huge amounts of oil from Saudi Arabia and has maintained warm ties with Iran.

“It should be a warning to US policymakers: Leave the Middle East and abandon ties with sometimes frustrating, even barbarous, but long-standing allies, and you’ll simply be leaving a vacuum for China to fill,” said Jonathan Panikoff, the director of the Scowcroft Middle East Security Initiative for the Atlantic Council, in a Friday statement.

It could be said that this deal reflects a shift in Saudi foreign policy away from the United States. While the United States remains Saudi Arabia’s largest military supplier, recent years have shown that the desert kingdom has been wooing several powers, including Russia, China, and now, Iran.

With Washington increasingly preoccupied with sending Ukraine hundreds of billions of dollars in economic and military aid, the Middle East is trying to address its old divisions and ease tensions. Beijing’s ability to talk to all sides without lecturing them on human rights has thus far seemed to be a more appealing prospect for the region’s many authoritarian regimes.

Nevertheless, U.S. ally Israel lambasted last Friday’s announcement, stating it proved Washington’s and Israel’s “weakness” toward Tehran. “There was a feeling of US and Israeli weakness and this is why the Saudis started looking for new avenues. It was clear that this was going to happen,” a senior Israeli official told reporters traveling with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, according to Axios.

This new development would make Israel’s goal to target Iranian nuclear facilities and Washington’s plans to destabilize the Iranian government even more challenging.

An unnamed senior Israeli political official accused former Prime Ministers Yair Lapid and Naftali Bennett for Friday’s China-brokered deal, after criticism from the opposition to the Netanyahu government for missing an opportunity to boost ties with Arab states.

In a statement to the Israeli paper Ynet, the official said, “The contacts between the countries started a year ago, during the term of the previous government, because there was a feeling of Israeli and American weakness. Weakness brings rapprochement with Iran, while strength pushes rapprochement away.”

“It is important to form a strong position against Iran, both in the United States and in Europe. The Israeli policy of preventing Iran from arming itself does not depend on the support of any country,” he noted.

That being said, the official stated that efforts will continue for an Israeli reconciliation with Riyadh. “The contacts are frequent and the basic picture did not change. The stronger the Western position against Iran is, the less significant their relations with Saudi Arabia will be.”

Meanwhile, Lapid’s office dismissed the official’s remarks, responding, “These are delusional statements. During the period of our government, an aviation agreement was signed with Saudi Arabia and the tripartite security agreement with Saudi Arabia and Egypt.”

Lapid then proceeded to blame Netanyahu for straining relations with Washington, stating, “All of this came to a halt when the most extreme government in Israel’s history was established here, and it became clear to the Saudis that Netanyahu was weak and the Americans stopped listening to him. Apparently, the Italian wine blurred Mr. Netanyahu’s memory.”

Lapid added, “The [Saudi-Iran] agreement is a complete and dangerous failure of the Israeli government’s foreign policy.”

“This is what happens when you deal all day long with legal madness instead of doing what needs to be done vis-à-vis Iran and instead of strengthening relations with the United States.”

Former Prime Minister Naftali Bennett reinforced Lapid’s views, saying, “The renewal of relations between Saudi Arabia and Iran is a serious and dangerous development for Israel, a political victory for Iran, and a fatal blow to the effort to build a regional coalition against Iran. It is a resounding failure of the Netanyahu government, stemming from a combination of diplomatic neglect with general weakness and internal conflict in the country.”

Bennett added, “The countries of the world and the region watch Israel and see a country in conflict, with a dysfunctional government. And so these countries choose a side. The Netanyahu government is a resounding economic, political, and security failure. Every day, its actions endanger the State of Israel.”

Senior opposition member Gideon Saar, who is also a member of the Knesset’s foreign affairs and security committee, tweeted, “Netanyahu promised peace with the Saudis. But eventually [the Saudis] made peace with Iran.”

Chair of the Knesset’s foreign affairs and security committee Yuli Edelstein said that the agreement “is very bad for Israel and for the entire free world,” adding, “The world does not stop while we are busy here with power struggles and clashes — certainly not our worst enemy.”

The news of the China-brokered deal came as Netanyahu was in Rome for his meeting with Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni. Speaking with Italian business people before the publication of the agreement, Netanyahu said, “I think the possibilities will grow beyond imagination if we are successful with another goal that I have, and that is to achieve normalization and peace with Saudi Arabia. One of my central goals is to achieve normalization with Saudi Arabia.”

The Israeli press pointed out that Netanyahu’s optimistic words before the publication of the Iran-Saudi agreement clearly showed he was out of touch with the Saudis’ intention that the Saudi deal showed that Riyadh does not think Israel has a feasible plan for curbing the Iranian nuclear program.

For years, Iran and Israel have been at loggerheads with each other, with Israel being one of the fiercest critics of Iran and its nuclear program. The Israeli government under Netanyahu had protested the 2015 nuclear deal that curtailed the program in exchange for the United States loosening sanctions on the Iranian regime.

In recent years, Israel has stepped up its diplomatic efforts with various Arab states, primarily via the 2019 Abraham Accords that saw Israel mending ties with the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain. Subsequently, Sudan and Morocco also set up diplomatic relations with Israel.

The New York Times reported that Saudi Arabia has issued its conditions for recognizing Israel, which encompassed a security guarantee from the United States, the development of a civilian nuclear program, and reduced sanctions on U.S. arms sales.

President Biden appeared to express support for the Saudi-Iranian deal in a statement Friday, saying that “Better relations between Israel and their Arab neighbors are better for everybody.” Biden’s comments certainly hold true, but with his administration’s full-fledged support of the Ukraine conflict and reduced clout in the Middle East, it is not surprising if observers conclude that his words are mere rhetoric. After all, better relations between Ukraine and Russia, without further provocation of Russia by a U.S.-led NATO, would also be better for everybody.

How much craziness can be packed into one news item? It would be tough to top this one: a “queer, non-binary” Sharia-adherent Muslim who serves as an Oklahoma state representative has been censured after she attempted to harbor a fugitive who was on the run after assaulting a police officer.

Mauree Turner is currently the representative in the state House from Oklahoma’s 88th district. She calls herself a “Queer, Non-binary, Okie Muslim” and demands that she be referred to as “they,” but as there appears to be only one of her, I won’t be doing that. Her website states proudly that she is “the first Muslim elected in Oklahoma and the first non-binary person elected to a state-level position in US history.” In all of her photos, she wears a hijab, the head covering that is a sign of her adherence to Sharia, the Islamic law. There is absolutely no doubt that Mauree Turner is the first self-proclaimed “queer,” “non-binary” Sharia-adherent Muslim woman to hold any elected office anywhere in the world.

All that should have been distinction enough for a lifetime, but Rep. Turner is as energetic as she is inventive. She is also, as you likely already suspected, very far to the Left, so far that she apparently holds the police officers who enforce the laws she helps formulate in the state House in utter contempt. The Political Insider reported Thursday that Turner “has been accused of blocking police from making an arrest of a transgender rights activist accused of assault.”

It happened late in February, “as lawmakers were voting on legislation to protect children from ‘gender transition procedures’ or similar physical abuse.” One of Turner’s colleagues, state Rep. Bob Culver, “was hit with a ‘liquid substance’ later simply identified as water as he passed through a group of protesters.” As the person who threw the water was being arrested, another activist, Austin Ross, declared that the perpetrator was “not going to be placed under arrest,” and grabbed a cop’s hands to try to prevent the arrest. Ross then fled to Turner’s office.

When cops showed up to arrest Ross there, the door was locked. Highway Patrol Trooper Eric Foster recounted: “When we go up to the representative’s office, we were not allowed in, even from opening the door.” On Tuesday, Turner was censured for this by a resounding 81-19 vote. The Oklahoma House issued a statement on that same day, noting that Turner “harbored a fugitive wanted for questioning in conjunction with the alleged assault inside of their House office and rejected multiple requests by law enforcement to question the individual.” Oklahoma House Speaker Charles McCall added that “the inappropriate, and potentially criminal, actions exhibited by this member of the House were deserving of censure, and the actions taken by the House today were both measured and just.”

As a result of the censure, Turner will lose her committee assignments unless she formally apologizes. She is, however, defiant, saying: “I think an apology for loving the people of Oklahoma is something that I cannot do. It’s something that I actively refuse to do.” So now helping someone who tried to prevent an arrest is “loving the people of Oklahoma.” This is the same sort of twisting of reality that is a constant throughout Turner’s life, from her gender confusion to her affectation of claiming to be “Black, Muslim, femme, queer” and sporting a hijab. The hijab is mandated for women in Islamic law, based on the Qur’an (24:31, 33:59). It is thus a visible symbol of one’s adherence to the tenets and teachings of Islam, which condemns homosexuality for both males and females, and mandates that female homosexuals be confined in their houses until they die (Qur’an 4:15), given one hundred lashes (Qur’an 24:2), or stoned to death (cf. Mishkat al-Masabih 3558).

Mauree Turner is thus living a lie in all kinds of ways. She is pretending to be “non-binary,” instead of acknowledging that she is a woman. She is pretending to be Sharia-observant, despite flouting the severe penalties it prescribes for the behaviors she proudly flaunts as her “queer” identity. She pretends to be a governing official, sworn to uphold the laws of the state while helping a lawbreaker evade punishment for breaking the laws of the state. Mauree Turner is, in sum, the contemporary Left personified, the veritable poster child for all its hypocrisy and fantasies. Despite this censure, watch for her star to continue to rise among Leftists. Ocasio-Cortez-Turner 2024!

Some details of how Old Joe Biden’s Potemkin military, distracted by wokeness, catastrophically bungled our withdrawal from Afghanistan in 2021 are well known: a government watchdog has just confirmed in a new report that Old Joe’s diverse and vaccinated military brass left behind $7.2 BILLION in weapons and aircraft for the Taliban, but that was already widely known. Less well known, however, is the information that Marine Sergeant Tyler Vargas-Andrews revealed Wednesday: American snipers could have taken out the jihad bomber who killed 13 Americans at Kabul airport on Aug. 26, 2021, but their superiors ordered them to stand down.

Vargas-Andrews, who was on the scene in Kabul on that fateful day, told the House Foreign Affairs Committee that his team of crack snipers had been given precise information about the jihad bomber before he committed his murderous act, including an accurate physical description. Vargas-Andrews recounted, “I asked the intel guys why he wasn’t apprehended sooner, since we had a full description. I was told the asset could not be compromised.” So apparently, if American forces had stopped this jihadi, the person who had provided us with all this detailed info about him would have been able to be identified and killed. That’s plausible, but what happened next is not.

Not long after they received the information about the bomber, Vargas-Andrews, and his crew spotted him, but their commanding officer told them not to take any action. Vargas-Andrews recalled that they explained to the commander that it wouldn’t be difficult to take out the bomber: “We reassured him of the ease of fire on the suicide bomber. Pointedly, we asked him for engagement authority and permission. We asked him if we could shoot. Our battalion commander said, and I quote, ‘I don’t know.'” Vargas-Andrews concluded, “Plain and simple, we were ignored. Our expertise was disregarded. No one was held accountable for our safety.”

The commanding officer’s uncertainty may have been related to the rules of engagement by which U.S. troops in Afghanistan had to abide. For many years, these were a cause of considerable vexation to the troops on the ground, as they hamstrung their efforts to strike a serious blow against the Taliban. Back in 2010, a Marine commander in Afghanistan stated, after two Americans were killed by remote-controlled bombs: “It causes a lot of frustration. My men want revenge – that is only natural. But I keep telling them that the rules are the rules for a reason. If we simply go crazy and start shooting at everything, in the long run, we will lose this war because we will lose the support of the population.”

That Marine commander added that the Taliban jihadis “know we can’t shoot them if they don’t carry guns or without positive identification. They are fighting us at another level now.” After one Taliban attack, another Marine said, “We were attacked treacherously. We came under fire from everywhere, but the rules of engagement prevent me from doing my job.” Did they prevent Sergeant Vargas-Andrews’ commanding officer from allowing him to take out the jihadi before he killed thirteen Americans? The possibility should not be dismissed out of hand, but Biden’s woke Pentagon is almost certain not to conduct any investigation.

Not long after Vargas-Andrews was not given permission to shoot the bomber, the bomber struck, setting off what Vargas-Andrews described as “a massive wave of pressure. I’m thrown 12 feet onto the ground but instantly knew what had happened. I opened my eyes to Marines dead or unconscious lying around me.” According to the Washington Free Beacon, Vargas-Andrews “lost multiple organs and two of his limbs. He has had 44 surgeries to date as a result of the attack.”

Even after that, Vargas-Andrews continued, “no one wanted my report post-blast. Even [the Naval Criminal Investigative Service] and the FBI failed to interview me.” He concluded that the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan was “a catastrophe and there was an inexcusable lack of accountability and negligence.” That’s right. Biden’s military leaders were too busy implementing critical race theory and making sure the troops were vaccinated to bother paying any attention to trivial matters such as how to get American civilians and military personnel safely out of Afghanistan. Their misplaced priorities are still in place and are likely to lead to more disasters in the future before the woke brass is decisively repudiated.

Canada: 39,000 illegals entered during 2022, nearly 2,000 hotel rooms reserved for them in Niagara Falls

39,000 illegals crossed into Canada from Roxham Road in 2022. So why not close it? Trudeau’s argument: “We have 6,000 kilometres worth of undefended shared border with the United States, and… people will choose to cross elsewhere.”

Such a ridiculous line of reasoning is as absurd as stating: “Why not do away with all immigration laws because as fast as you fight one immigration lawbreaker, another pops up?” Trudeau has made no secret of his open-door policy when it comes to illegals, to the detriment of those who wait in the queue and respect the laws of the land. Trudeau is infamous for extending a warm welcome to Islamic State fighters and has even stated his belief that they can help Canada. He once said: “We know that actually, someone who has engaged and turned out from that hateful ideology can be an extraordinarily powerful voice for preventing radicalization in future generations, and young people within the community.” Trudeau’s belief is contrary to repeated proof that deradicalization programs have been an abject failure. Jihadists are not criminals who want to change. They are religious zealots who believe in rewards for “martyrdom.”

Since 2019, reports have been sketchy at best on the countries of origin of Roxham Road illegals. By 2019, the largest concentration was reportedly from Nigeria, while Pakistan, Turkey, Egypt, and Yemen were in the top 12 countries of origin. Many think it doesn’t matter where the illegals originate, but it does, and this has nothing to do with “racism.” There is no vetting process in place to determine the ideologies of Roxham Road. illegals, or whether they have criminal backgrounds or even contagious illnesses.  All we know is that they are economic migrants who are flowing in with the full knowledge that they are breaking the law.

The Roxham Road influx began after Trudeau tweeted his message of welcome to anyone and everyone after Donald Trump imposed his travel ban. Now illegals from around the world have gotten the memo and Trudeau’s new welcome message that since Canada has an undefended border, he sees no point in closing off Roxham Road.

Niagara Falls and Cornwall are among the cities “receiving thousands of migrants from Roxham Road.” The former is a well-known tourist area where migrants are now housed in many hotels. Jim Diodati, the mayor of Niagara Falls, stated: “There’s only so much the people here can handle. We’re a community of less than a hundred thousand people…..Niagara Falls does not have the capacity to adequately provide those support services and providers are being stretched to their limits.”

Mohammed is one refugee highlighted by CBC. He originates from Chad and “is living in one of the nearly 2,000 hotel rooms reserved in Niagara Falls by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) to provide temporary housing to migrants arriving via Roxham Road.” An obvious concern should also be for the tourism industry of Niagara, which is now not far from its summer-time peak. Recall what happened in 2018 at the Radisson Toronto East hotel, where about 400 refugees from Africa occupied all but two floors of the hotel, turning the Radisson into a squalid migrant camp. In a bad economy, still struggling to recover from COVID mismanagement, it is going to be a rough summer for Niagara Falls and other communities that are now grappling with the federal government’s continued mismanagement.

“Asylum seekers uncertain of future after being bused to Ontario,” by Ioanna Roumeliotis and Brenda Witmer, CBC, March 4, 2023:

His name is Mohammed and we meet him walking along a boulevard lined with hotels off the tourist strip in Niagara Falls, Ont.

The February wind is biting, and he shivers in a jacket more suited for warmer weather.

Mohammed says he is too scared to disclose more details about himself other than he had to flee Chad, in Central Africa, fearful for his life.

He is one of the thousands of asylum seekers bused here shortly after arriving in Quebec from New York at an irregular border crossing called Roxham Road.

Mohammed was hoping to stay in Quebec because he doesn’t speak English, but he says he wasn’t given a choice when he was boarded onto a bus heading here.

Then he said, speaking in French, “I don’t speak any English, and here in Niagara it’s very difficult for me to communicate.”

Mohammed is living in one of the nearly 2,000 hotel rooms reserved in Niagara Falls by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) to provide temporary housing to migrants arriving via Roxham Road and who are now being redirected out of the province.

It’s left him in a strange limbo, he said, adding in French, “I sleep, I wake, I eat.”

He says in the two weeks he’s been here, no one has told him what to expect next.

Mohammed’s story reflects the scramble to move people like him out of Quebec since the province sounded the alarm, saying it could not absorb any more asylum seekers.

‘You can’t just drop them off’
Roughly 39,000 people seeking protection arrived in Quebec from Roxham Road in 2022 alone. According to the latest federal government statistics, another 4,875 people crossed at Roxham Road this past January.

Niagara Falls Mayor Jim Diodati says he’s been taken aback by the number of hotel rooms the federal government has been steadily reserving for asylum seekers.

“We went from 87 rooms to 300 rooms, then it went to 687 rooms,” Diodati said. “Then it went to 1,500 rooms, then they said 1,700 and 2,000 is next. So we said, well, where are we going with this? I mean, how big is this gonna get?”

According to IRCC, most migrants are staying in federally funded hotel rooms on average 60 days and are provided with meals while they are assessed for work permits….

However, administering the social services that asylum seekers are entitled to while they try to settle has largely fallen on the city at a cost of roughly $5 million, Diodati says, money the city wants the federal government to compensate it for……

Islamic Republic of Iran: 80 more girls’ schools targeted in chemical attacks, dozens of girls hospitalized~Muslim professor insists that the freedom of expression must be restricted in order to stop ‘Islamophobia’

Madhara: 'Zero' confidence in Iran poisoning arrests

Arrests have been made after the suspected poisonings at girls' schools in Iran. These poisonings come in the wake of protests across the country after the death of a 22-year-old woman who was detained by the country's morality police. Moj Madhara, the founding member of the Iranian Diaspora Collective, said despite the arrests, she has "zero confidence" that anyone will be held accountable. The regime in Iran, Madhara argues, has not been transparent, showing itself to be populated by bad actors.

Dr. Mohammadreza Hashemian says that “the gases used to poison the students are a combination of different chemicals, which it is ‘not possible for ordinary people’ to access.”

The Islamic regime once again appears to be endeavoring to “strike terror in the enemies of Allah” (Qur’an 8:60). It is intent on punishing these girls who have dared to shake the very foundations of the regime by venturing out without hijab and calling for the end of the Islamic regime.

“Chemical Attacks On Schoolgirls Surge As Islamic Republic Denies Foul Play,” Iran International, March 5, 2023:

About 80 more schools were targeted by chemical attacks on Sunday with dozens of girls hospitalized, as the international community demands answers to the mysterious poisonings.

The poisonings, targeting girls’ schools since November, have been ramped up this week with hundreds more girls falling sick across Iran.

Social media videos surfaced on Sunday show that students were poisoned in many cities, including Fouladshahr and some other cities in Esfahan (Isfahan) province, Karaj and Fardis in Alborz province, Tabriz, Yazd, Hamedan, Shiraz, Ramhormoz and Mahshahr in Khuzestan province, Qazvin, Gonbad-e Kavus in Golestan, and the capital Tehran. Only In the city of Yazd, at least eight schools were attacked on Sunday.

On Saturday alone, schools in 33 cities were targeted by the same gas that has already affected around 1,500 students in recent weeks.

The scale of the intentional poisoning of female students — which started in the religious city of Qom and spread further throughout the country and reached schools in small towns and villages — has stepped up in recent weeks, becoming a daily occurrence.

State media is trying to downplay the seriousness of the incidents, with some officials such as former MP Jamileh Kadivar calling the attacks “mass hysteria.”

Many, such as Dr. Mohammadreza Hashemian, a doctor in the special care department of Masih Daneshvari Hospital, fear the poisonings are being led by regime authorities. He said that the gases used to poison the students are a combination of different chemicals, which it is “not possible for ordinary people” to access.

With women and girls having been at the forefront of protests, burning headscarves and cutting their hair in defiance of the regime, it is believed that the attacks are a coordinated effort to deter the young students from supporting ongoing unrest, triggered by the death of the young woman, Mahsa Amini. Her death in morality police custody after being arrested for the inappropriate use of her headscarf, has triggered national protest since September.

The patterns of the school attacks are similar to chemical attacks committed by radical Islamists in Chechnya and the Taliban in Afghanistan.

The regime’s Health Minister Bahram Eynollahi admitted that the girls have suffered “mild poison” attacks, while Interior Minister Abdolreza Rahmani Fazli said on Saturday, “In field studies, suspicious samples have been found, which are being investigated… to identify the causes of the students’ illness, and the results will be published as soon as possible.”

Outraged by the Islamic Republic’s inaction and reluctance to identify and arrest those behind the attacks, many parents, students and other activists have held demonstrations outside the buildings of the Education Ministry across the country, but security forces attacked the gatherings and arrested some of the parents and students.

In a gathering of parents outside an Education Ministry building in Tehran, people chanted “Basij, Guards, you are our Daesh,” likening the Revolutionary Guards and other security forces to the Islamic State group. Comparing the Islamic Republic with the Taliban, protesters also chanted “Death to the Taliban, whether in Iran or Afghanistan”….

Mohamed Azam Mohamed Adil, who is Director-General of the Institute of Islamic Understanding (IKIM) and is identified as an “associate professor” in the byline of this article, insists that criticism of Islam and opposition to jihad violence will lead to discrimination against Muslims and even violent attacks against innocent Muslims. This is an increasingly common argument among Western Leftists as well: criticism of them supposedly leads to their getting “death threats,” thus such criticism must be curtailed. There is actually no necessary connection between criticism of anyone or anything and violence against innocent people, and if this argument is accepted, no one will be able logically to criticize anything. Of course, this is not a logical argument. The outcome people such as Mohamed Azam Mohamed Adil and his ilk want is that criticism of Islam will be forbidden, while they themselves will be free to criticize anything they want.

“Curtailing absolute freedom crucial in combating Islamophobia,” by Mohamed Azam Mohamed Adil, New Straits Times, March 6, 2023:

THE world has once again witnessed an extreme act of Islamophobia when Rasmus Paludan, a right-wing politician, burnt Quran at a recent rally in Stockholm. Such an act has caused outrage, especially from the Muslim world, as it is an unacceptable act of dishonouring the Muslim holy book.

The provocative act, carried out in front of the Turkish Embassy, proves that hatred towards Islam, or Islamophobia, continues to run thick in Europe.

This is not the first time such a prejudicial act against Islam and Muslims in the West has happened under the guise of “absolute freedom”.

In reality, such crimes are manifestations of Islamophobia. Islamophobia is defined as an irrational fear and hostility towards Islam and Muslims that can lead to hate speech and social and political prejudice.

It can be used to justify policies such as mass surveillance of certain groups, imprisonment and loss of rights. Without correcting these negative perceptions, it can influence the domestic and foreign policies of Western countries.

Islamophobia began taking root in the Western discourse in The Middle Ages when negative stereotypes about Muslims helped build popular support during the Crusades. The false perception of Muslims as uncivilised and violent also contributed to justifying European colonial domination over Muslim countries.

The term “Orientalism”, coined by renowned American sociologist Edward Said, best describes the negative stereotyped attitudes toward Muslims and other colonised peoples.

On the other hand, the term “Islamophobia” was popularised in a 1997 report published by the Runnymede Trust, a British think tank concerned with racial and ethnic discrimination.

Islamophobia, like anti-Semitism, anti-Black racism, and prejudice towards “outsiders”, is often rationalised in order to propagate discrimination driven by the interests of Western political actors. Islamophobia is deeply ingrained in the minds of Westerners. They believe that Islam and Muslims advocate violence….

Terrorism claims are exploited to legitimise the monitoring of Muslims and, under certain circumstances, they are used to justify acts of war against a group of Muslims and Muslim states….

In the effort to achieve religious and national harmony, the West must reassess the notion of absolute freedom of expression that is currently practised. Hate speech and behaviour towards any religion, especially towards Islam and Muslims, must be stopped by strengthening ant-hate speech laws.

Similarly, blasphemy laws should apply to all religions rather than only Christianity, as it does in the United Kingdom. The recent act of burning the Quran in Sweden clearly shows contempt for the religion of Islam and should be prosecuted as blasphemy.

Without equitable response by Western governments, Islamophobia will fester, leading to acts of violence by various parties. Let us all work together to prevent social unrest and extreme actions by a few Muslims against the law and humanity, as occurred in 2001 (9/11) and the 2005 London Bombings.

Western governments must campaign for and educate the masses through programmes and activities on various platforms, either formally or informally, by promoting Islam as a religion of peace and rejecting violence.

This effort was once made in a special Fulbright Award programme – Direct Access to the Muslim World after 9/11 – where many speakers from Muslim countries were invited to the United States to educate Americans who were still misled and had negative perceptions about Islam.

Opposition to Iranian Regime is Even More Powerful This Time

More Iranians than ever - at home and abroad - call for regime change.

The Islamic Republic of Iran now appears to be a threshold nuclear power. It has, according to the United Nations International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) inspectors, moved its enriched uranium to an 84% level of purity. Inspectors detected enriched uranium particles up to 84%, and the IAEA has not denied the report. The IAEA, still reluctant to openly feud with Iran, issued a statement saying “that the IAEA is discussing with Iran the results of recent verification activities.” An 84% uranium level is a fraction away from the 90% level needed to produce weapons-grade material, and Iran could easily use the material to produce an atomic bomb.

On the domestic scene however, the oppressive Ayatollah’s regime in Tehran is facing a more unified and resolute opposition seeking a regime change. Iranians in the diaspora have organized themselves in support of the Iranian uprising in Iran. In Brussels, Munich, and Rome, Iranian anti-Ayatollah regime leaders have raised the banner of freedom this month. In Rome, on February 21, 2023, at the Italian National Senate, a rally was held titled “Women, Freedom, and Human Rights in Iran.” The speakers included Masih Alinejad, an Iranian Women’s Rights campaigner who is a major anti-regime voice. Dr. Hamed Esmaeilion, spokesman of the Association of Families of Flight PS752 downed by the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC), was another speaker along with Italian politicians.

For a long time now, the mullahs’ regime in Tehran have lampooned the opposition as weak and divided, and to a large extent they were right. But since the murder last year of the young Kurdish woman, Mahsa Amini, the Iranian diaspora has galvanized in support of bringing down the regime. Considering what is happening on the streets of both Iran, and in European cities, Iranians of all ages, with different political persuasions, gender, economic class, religion, and ethnicity, have come together and risen up in unison in virtually all regions of Iran and abroad to topple the hated mullah regime.

The increasing cohesion of the Iranian resistance and its resilience while facing beatings, shootings, torture, and rape by the Ayatollah Khamenei’s regime, has inspired ordinary diaspora Iranians to come together week after week to protest in cities across the globe. World luminaries have joined them, voicing support for the just struggle of the Iranian people against the brutality of the Islamic Republic.

Reza Pahlavi, eldest son of the former Shah of Iran, is touring Europe to garner support for the Iranian people’s revolution. He told the British Guardian newspaper that right now is a “do-or-die” moment for the revolution, requiring western governments to give full, active support or risk seeing the revolutionary movement’s impact wane. Pahlavi pointed out that if the West imposed maximum pressure, the IRGC and some reformist politicians would desert the regime. The Islamic republic is now openly assisting Russia in its war against Ukraine and is now being part of the new “axis of evil,” along with Russia and China. It is crucial for basic human rights and long-term world peace that the West act favorably upon the request of the Iranian masses for support in their efforts to bring about regime change.

Pahlavi asserted that, “The reason the revolution is continuing is because everybody understands this is do-or-die. Iranians are calling for ‘death to the dictator.’ They are getting shot in the eyes and, if not, imprisoned or tortured or executed, and they are still standing there. The world needs to respond and be on their side.“

In January (2023), the European Union (EU) foreign ministers imposed sanctions on more than 30 Iranian officials and organizations including units of the powerful IRGC, blaming them for the brutal crackdown on protesters and other human rights abuses. However, they stopped short of denouncing the IRGC as a terrorist organization. Both the US and the UK also leveled new sanctions on Iran.

This time, it is not only the Sunni-Muslim minorities – the Kurds, Baluchis, and Ahwazi Arabs, who are confronting the regime. Ordinary Shiite-Muslim ethnic Persians, and Azeris (ironically Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei is of Azeri origin) have joined in, and it is not only students that carry the banner of change but ordinary Iranians as well.

In 2009, millions of Iranians came out to the streets to protest election fraud and demand justice. It could have been the trigger to a regime change. The protesters shouted, “Obama are you with them or with us?” yet President Obama remained obviously silent, preferring to appease the Ayatollahs, and hoping to “reform their behavior.” He subsequently hailed the Iran nuclear deal (Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, JCPOA) as one of his greatest foreign policy achievements. The JCPOA was a 10-year deal touted as preventing Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons. Now, in retrospect, it appears hollow and short sighted.

The Iranian diaspora has solidified, with its diverse leadership that includes the likes of Reza Pahlavi, the late Shah’s son, who is calling for a secular democracy in Iran and a non-violent revolution. There is the voice of Shirin Ebadi, a former judge, and a Nobel Peace Prize Laureate, who believes that revolution is the only way. Women’s rights activist Masih Alinejad continues to defy the Ayatollahs through coordinated acts of civil disobedience as do the actresses Nazanin Boniadi and Golshifteh Farahani, and Iran’s soccer star Ali Amini. Boniadi spoke out against the oppression of women in Iran at the 2023 World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. Farahani was quoted by the New York Times as saying that Iranians cry for freedom won’t be silenced.

The current protest movement, unlike the 2009 protests and strikes, is being inspired and led by women. It has united Iranians across the board in what has turned out to be the most serious threat the Ayatollah’s regime has faced to date. The protest movement has survived weeks of internet outages and violent crackdowns by the regime. The chants, “women, life, and freedom” continues despite massive arrests, torture, rapes, and deaths, at the hands of IRGC goons and other regime helpers.

A former Iranian detainee had this to say. “They torture us, and they are lying to the world, to the international community…Iranians want freedom,” adding, “We don’t want dictatorship. We want to connect with the world.”

The nuclear negotiations in Vienna have reached a pathetic end, and Iran’s gross violations of the terms set by the JCPOA are clearly undeniable. It is therefore now incumbent upon the Western powers to seriously consider supporting Iranian pleas for regime change. To provide massive aid to the Iranian protesters challenging the regime. Simultaneously, the US and its European allies should consider activating the military option against Iran’s nuclear facilities. We just don’t want to believe the Iranian leadership’s stated threats against the US, the West, and our Middle East friends, including serious Iranian plans to annihilate Israel.

Biden’s Handlers Back Jihad Terrorists, ‘Cancel’ Israel

“A radio network run by the Islamic Jihad”

The Biden administration is once again attacking Israel while providing support to terrorists.

As Caroline Glick notes at JNS, “On Feb. 27, Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) wrote a letter to Secretary of State Antony Blinken demanding the suspension of a U.S. State Department grant that was awarded to Fares Al Arab for Development and Charity Works in Gaza due to the group’s ties to Hamas, Islamic Jihad and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine terrorist organizations.”

“The State Department gave Fares Al Arab a $41,213 grant for “Developing Palestinian Journalists’ English Skills.” But as The Washington Free Beacon reported, Fares Al Arab issued a grant “to a radio network run by the Islamic Jihad … , honored a self-described journalist who belonged to the PFLP, hosted a press freedom event that featured a spokesman for the Islamic Jihad, and co-led a human rights training course with a convicted terrorist.”

“Issa demanded that by March 10, the State Department explain if it “knew the history of the group’s ties to terrorism,” “why the grant was provided if the history was known” and provide a complete accounting for the State Department’s decision to award Fares Al Arab the grant.”

While the Biden administration does this, it’s constantly attacking Israel’s new government and has seemingly moved to boycott Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich and other members of the government even while it continues to meet with terrorists like PA leader Mahmoud Abbas.

On Friday, Channel 12 reported that the Biden administration will boycott Smotrich when he visits Washington to speak at an Israel Bonds conference taking place from March 12 to 14.

“If Smotrich was persona non grata before that statement, now after this debacle he is persona non grata on steroids,” Channel 12 quoted a senior U.S. source as saying. “No American official will meet with Smotrich. After he said these things, the phones in the offices in Jerusalem did not stop ringing,” he added.

U.S. State Department spokesman Ned Price earlier this week described Smotrich’s remarks as “disgusting,” and called on Israel’s government to repudiate them.

No call on the PA leader to repudiate this.

Mahmoud Abbas, leader of the Palestinian Authority, the guy who’s frequently touted by both left- and right-leaning politicos as a moderate who wants nothing but peace with Israel, went on an shocking rant against the Jewish state and the United States in recent public remarks, ultimately unleashing a curse on President Donald Trump that went like this: “May your house be destroyed.”

But it’s not just the Biden administration that is trying to isolate Israel’s government. ZOA leader Morton Klein described a Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations meeting that failed to include Smotritch.

It is painful for me to report that the Conference’s directors violated the leadership mission’s purpose, by refusing to give podiums to the major elected ministers and Israeli leaders who are in the forefront of promoting Israel’s judicial, anti-terror and other reforms: Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich, National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir, and MK Simcha Rothman, chair of the Knesset Constitution, Law and Justice Committee.

The Conference’s directors’ refusal to have a session with these important current leaders on such critical issues – a form of “cancel culture” – was an enormous missed opportunity to learn from, ask challenging questions to, and exchange views with the judicial and anti-terror reforms’ originators.

In a published interview, the CEO of Jewish News Syndicate (JNS) Alex Traiman asked William Daroff, CEO of the Conference, why he refused to provide access to Smotrich, Ben-Gvir and Rothman “even though they are directly relevant to the issues the Conference is sure to address.”

Daroff gave another irrelevant response, that the Conference mission did not meet with “other party leaders” such as Benny Gantz, Gideon Sa’ar and Merav Michaeli. But none of those other party leaders is leading reform efforts, and none of them is in the present coalition government that overwhelmingly supports the reforms.

That boycott allows the opponents of judicial reform to continue misrepresenting it without allowing members of Israel’s government at the heart of the effort to properly counter it.
